oh no! your big brother's best friend is the only one around to help you put in a tampon 😣.
yuuta x fem & afab reader. 18+ MDNI.
cw: yuuta is his own tw, somewhat taboo dynamics bc he has viewed you as a sibling, graphic period descriptions and blood, um it's sexualized, everyone's adults, reader just hasn't used a tampon before, yuuta masturbating mention, 1.3k words
Tumblr media
“I just- I don’t know what to do. She wants us to take pictures in the pool! Like, I can’t avoid it!”
“Um. Maybe one of the other bridesmaids could help?”
“I’ve barely spoken to any of them! They’d think I’m so dumb, Yuuta!”
Yuuta can only lean against the bathroom door and bite his tongue, completely at a loss. He wonders if even the wisest man alive would know how to navigate this type of thing—his best friend’s grown little sister’s period troubles.
“‘M sorry.” He says earnestly.
He hears you sniffle and mumble how it’s not his fault. Then there’s a slam of what’s presumably a cardboard tampon box thrown to the floor.
“God, these instructions aren't helping at all! It hurts!”
Yuuta’s pretty sure it’s not supposed to, at least from his experience knowing people who menstruate. Tampons are, like, tiny. He catches himself before he can really pursue the train of thought he starts heading towards—one where he contemplates if you’re a virgin, and if somehow that could make it harder to put in. He has to mentally slap himself; he’s being disgusting.
“The YouTube video I sent—“
“No, yuuta, I swear, my vagina’s just, like. Different from anyone else’s. I need a doctor to do this, not some video.”
You’re talking through quiet sobs and he’s concerned and he cares about you but Yuuta also can’t help but think you’re being a bit ridiculous. Soon the both of you will be late to your own brother’s wedding.
“I can’t do this! I'm really and truly starting to freak out, Yuu!”
“Okay, I think—“
“Can you just come in and help?”
The breath is knocked from his lungs.
“Uhh..”
“Please Yuuta there’s no one else who can! We’ll be late!”
Yuuta purses his lips, checking the time on his phone for maybe the third time in the past minute.
“Um…”
“Please, just come in”
Deep exhale. “Alright then, I’m opening the door.”
When he does, he finds you exactly the way he expected, perched on your toilet with closed legs, your baggy tee barely concealing the space between your thighs—he’s glad to note that your hair and makeup at least seem to already be done and your dress is hung up and ready. He spots the tampon box on the ground in front of you, its contents spilling out on the bathroom tiles. Then his eyes find your hands hovering over your lap, one of them clutching a plastic tampon applicator, both of them with bloody fingertips.
Yuuta squares his shoulders.
“So what’s the situation?”
He’s very consciously only looking at your eyes when he asks, staring too long anywhere else feels rude.
“This thing is literally tearing up my insides everytime I try to use it—maybe I’m not putting it in the right way.”
“Kay,” Yuuta’s thoughts seem to be moving incredibly slow. “Uh, do you wanna try again and I could, like, read the instructions for you while you do it?”
You huff, giving a nod.
“Okay.” He fumbles with the box, sitting next to you on the edge of the bathtub. Another deep breath.
“Place the tip of the applicator at the vagina opening…” he notices you doing so out of his peripheral. His cheeks could not get any redder.
“Now slide it in, up to where your fingers are.”
He notices the way you hold your breath when you try—then you squeal.
“No, this sucks yuuta! I can’t even do that—I need to angle it perfectly parallel to my tummy so it won’t hurt and I just can’t.”
He sees you’ve taken out the applicator again.
“I honestly think you’re making this more complicated than it needs to be, yn.”
“Well how would you even know?”
“I mean. I’ve seen a woman put in a tampon before…”
“The YouTube animation isn’t the same, Yuu!”
“Uh, well… I meant maki.”
Yuuta watches as just about every emotion on earth briefly crosses your face.
“That’s—“ you shake your head. “Why?!”
Suddenly he wishes he had just kept his credibility to himself.
“She was my girlfriend at the time, it’s not like it was weird! What I’m trying to say is, you should just relax and not think about it so hard. I think you’re too tense and that’s why you’re getting hurt.”
You hyperventilate a bit again—hopefully getting it out of your system—before nodding and trying again. This attempt ends in another sob.
And there Yuuta sits, a foot away beside you, staring at the ceiling and praying to whatever god is out there for this moment to pass.
“Yuuta—“ you sniffle, “can you do it for me?”
Yuuta sighs a deep, long sigh. He… had an idea that’s where this was headed. And what’s he supposed to do? Leave you hanging right before a huge wedding which you’re both in the party of? While you’re crying and freaking out?
“…alright, I’ll try.”
He rolls up his sleeves, then he washes his hands, holding them up like he’s about to perform surgery.
You offer the tampon.
Gingerly, he plucks the bloody applicator from your fingers.
He squats down in front of you then, eyes flicking to your sniffling face while wearing his own similar, very somber, expression.
“You’re gonna have to open your legs.”
Slowly, you do.
And yuuta tries not to be weird about it—he doesn’t know what even constitutes a normal reaction here, but he can’t help but instantly engrave the image of your spread pussy, blood staining its lips and dripping out of it, permanently into his brain. He knows it’s permanent because he doesn’t want it to be. He knows he’ll think about it because he’ll try not to. This is some kind of test from the universe and he is failing.
He stares for a second, instinctively catching every detail. The way red smears across the plush insides of your thighs, the way you clench yourself automatically under his gaze, the way a red drop oozes from your hole when you do. The shape of your lips leading up to your clit.
He shakes his head microscopically to clear it, hoping you don’t pick up on his pause. He uses one hand to grip onto a thigh then, holding steady while he brings the applicator to you for the millionth time today. You make a worried noise.
“Breathe for me?”
When he hears you exhale, Yuuta eases the applicator in bit, angling it up whatever way feels natural, then he pushes the trigger so the tampon’s inserted.
You make a surprised gasp, mumbling a little oh my god before sitting up straight. Yuuta knows it’s finally in there correctly.
His hands are washed and he is out of that room faster than you could say thank you.
The drive to the event is less awkward than it could be, thanks to the news podcast Yuuta always listens to and an interesting story spurring on conversation. But yuuta can’t stop thinking about it. He’s known you since you were kids—only ever looked at you like a somewhat annoying little sibling—but now his brain keeps reverting to thoughts of your warm little pussy every other minute. When you talk, when you look at him, when you hold his arm walking down the aisle before the bride. When you dance later in the night. And most importantly, when his fist’s around his cock in his hotel room later, turning in early even after one of your pretty cousins kept trying to get inside his pants all night. He might not have turned her down under different circumstances, but he knew he had to when his head kept reverting to you, eyes darting to find you at the reception almost every other minute. Drifting to your body whenever they did…

The Murder of Yuu
I decided to cut out the opening ceremony and chandelier cause it was boring and not an interesting read, may do a part two with a good and bad ending. It's up to interpretation if Yuu dies or lives.
Tws: Gn! Yuu, Death, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Potential Gore Tw??, Overall angst and stuff. 9k Words
Ace’s Fireball
“Ahahaha!” The red-head’s grating laugh reverberated in your head. “Anyways, just thought I’d tease you for a bit and I’m glad I did, it’s been a blast! Unlike you two, I actually have classes to get to!” The bratty student sneered at you and your companion before walking off. You simply rolled your eyes and continued your job. You had better things to do than to fight with some snot-nosed brat.
Grim, however, had other plans. “No way you just insulted me like that, Explodey-Head!” “Hah?” The red head glared, amused. “Who’re you callin' names, kitty-cat?” “Why you—“ Grim suddenly spewed out a plume of fire right at Ace making him yelp.
“Oh you wanna play like that, huh?!” Ace yelled. He started to send a few spells Grims way, a few missing and hitting a little too close to you. Instinctively, you backed into the Queen of Hearts statue behind you. “Cut it out you guys!” “Oh shut it, janitor!” Ace snapped, Grim threw another fireball right at Ace, just for him to cast wind redirect it… directly to the statue where you were at. You stared at the ball of flames, knowing there was no way to avoid it as you covered your eyes to try and at least protect them.
“No! Wait!” The prefect yelled before letting out a deafening shriek as the flame made contact with their face, enveloping up their skin and hair within an instant. The redhead froze as a crowd gathered around the scene, horrified murmurs and gasps erupted from within the group.
The prefect crumpled, trying their best to put out the fire and suffocate it while crying out for help. Oh shit, oh shit what has he done?! No! It wasn't his fault that stupid janitor stood where they were! Ace’s mind was in a frenzy, complete panic enveloping him as all he could do was stand in watch, the thought of putting out the poor student not even occurring to him. Grim frantically jumped around them, swatting at the flames and crying out their name. Ace tried to cast a few water spells, but they were reduced to steam the second they made contact with your skin
The familiar tapping of a pair of heels approached him, quicking as they got closer. Oh fuck he was really in trouble now. None of his spells were helping. The headmage approached the scene. “Oh dear god, Yuu!” The crow said horrified, immediately running to their side and using the magic cloak he had to put out the flame. The Prefect stopped flailing and curled into a ball, covering their face as much as they could with the cloak around them.
Most of their clothes were either burned or singed at this point. The fingers that peaked out, looked as if they were melting as they pulled the cloak even further onto them to hide their face. “Everyone dismissed!” The mage yells out with a newfound rage, scooping up the student and rushing to the nurses office. The crowd dispersed, all trying to get back to class except for two. “H…henchman… HENCHMAN!” Grim shrieked before running off after Crowley
And Ace just stood there, the events of everything weighing in on him. He should consider himself lucky that the headmage was too busy with Yuu to even try and figure out what happened, but instead he felt sick. The students hands and legs shook as he tried to move.
He's so sorry…
Deuce’s Recklessness
“Get away from that thing!” Grim shrieks as he sprints on all fours, running out of the mine. “But the magestone!” Deuce cries out. “We need the magestone!” “We need to be alive to get it!” Ace huffs as he pulls on Deuce’s arm to drag him out of the mines.
“No, we can't give up like this!” Deuce yells out before pulling his arm away. “Deuce! What the hell are you doing?!” Yuu cried out as the card soldier ran back into the mines, directly to the strange monster within it. “Stoones! The stones are MINE!” It screeched as it sped up to meet with Deuce.
“I can't get kicked out! I need to risk it—“ Deuce desperately wheezed. He would slide between the monster's legs and back into the mines to grab that stone, even if it killed him! Deuce was so tunnel-visioned in his own plan, he didn't even see the pickaxe ready to swing down on him.
“Deuce!” Yuu cried out. It was the last thing he heard before he felt himself being pushed into the side of the cave wall. The runner’s back collided with the rocks behind him as he collapsed onto his knees. Where he sat gave him the perfect view of what was about to happen.
Yuu pushed their entire body into him to get him out of the way, making the prefect in turn take Deuce’s place in front of the blot. As they fell, Deuce realized there was no way for them to possibly avoid the attack coming down on them. He felt sick as he watched the concerned face in front of him contort into a cry, their eyes widening as the pick lodged itself into the spine of the magicless student, coming out through their stomach
The prefect wretched, gagging as they started to cough up blood. “YUU!” Deuce panicked, throwing himself over to where Yuu was in an attempt to try and save them, just for them to be dragged into the darkness of the cave. Yuu cried out in pain as the monster held them by the pick, crying out for it to stop.
“No… NO!” Deuce was frozen as he watched the silhouette of the creature take out the pickaxe, just to lodge it into the crumpled figure’s head. “Henchman!” Grim cried. “C’mon let's go!” Deuce felt Ace grab onto his arm to pull him back onto his feet and drag him out of the cave. He felt like he was going to throw up.
“Fuck…” Ace huffed, panting, staring in disbelief at the cave in front of him. Grim also stared, face completely blank as he sat where he stood, as if processing what just happened. Deuce wretched, covering his mouth. He was so stupid! He should have never been so… so… stupid! That student, who he barely learned the name of, died because of him. Died protecting him. Just because of his stupidity.
It was all his fault.
Riddle Overblot
“Riddle…” Trey panted, brushing the hair out of Riddle’s sweat-slicken face. The clover's face paint was smeared and his hair disheveled, hat nowhere to be seen as the man adjusts his cracked glasses. This was the first time Riddle has ever seen his friend like this. He looked panicked, shaken up.
Something was wrong. Why did his body hurt so much? Why was his head pounding?
“Trey…?” His voice was hoarse and dry.
“What… what happened…” The last thing he remembers was being angry… “What… what did I do?'' The last line came out weak.
Looking over, he saw a certain problem freshman approach him, shaking with rage and tears in his eyes. His mind kept telling him to stop, that he shouldn't look at what his dorm members were crowding around, but he pushed himself up on his arms.
He was immediately hit with the scent of iron hanging heavy in the air, smell making him nauseous as it assaulted his senses. As he sat up he noticed how Cater and Deuce seemed to tense up, fear in their eyes. They were completely on edge. Ace stopped in front of Riddle, opening his mouth in an attempt to yell at him before closing it as a sob came out instead.
In that moment he realized what happened. “Who did I… Who was it?” Riddle’s voice shook as Ace glared. “Who?” Trey looked away from him, Riddle pushed himself up to his feet as he saw who Deuce stood in front of protectively as the other students backed away in fear, even Cater hiding the crowd. The spade and heart didn’t budge. Even Grim stood strong.
It was Yuu. The student who has been nothing but kind and concerned over him. The one that he berated and criticized over and over. The one he was never nice to once throughout their time at NRC. Their body now impaled through a rose bush, some of the thorny branches weaving under their skin and poking out like it was growing into them. They were not dead yet though.
Their chest twitched in an attempt to breathe and Deuce held their head up for up so they wouldn't suffocate on their own spit. With his other hand he attempted a few healing spells, but each one fizzled out from inexperience. “Dammit! Will one of you just help me!” He cried out to the crowd, but no one came.
Yuu’s eyes were watery as let out a sob. “I dont…” they wheezed. “I don't want to die like this! I never…” “Shh shh, save your energy.” Ace commanded, helping Deuce with holding them up and using the tie around his neck as makeshift bandages. “I never got to see the world…” the prefect continued. “Don’t say that!” Grim yapped.
“I don't want to die like this, surrounded by strangers! I don't want to die alone!” Tears started to fall from everyone as the student spoke manically, each word faster than the last. “I want to go home! I want to go home! I want to be with my family! My friends! Not here! Not like this!…” The prefect started hyperventilating, now in complete hysterics. “Yuu, please!” Deuce sobbed. “I don't….” Yuu’s eyes started to glaze over. “I don't…”
Riddle shook, tears streaming down his face as hesitantly reached out his hand just to receive glares from the trio in front of him. “I’m sorry…” He stuttered. “Im so sorry…” Ace suddenly seems to snap. “Sorry isn't going to do shit! It’s not gonna bring them back!” The heart shakes, hatred evident in his eyes.
He was right.
Ruggie’s Slip-up
“Get back here!” Grim yelled as Ruggie snickered, gripping onto all of the magical pens he snagged from the freshmen. Poor poor freshies, not knowing where to stick their nose. It’s their fault they got involved.
“Dammit he's fast!” Ace wheezed. “Don't let him get away!” the spade next to him spoke, following right on his tail. Oh this was too easy! A simple turn and he's— As Ruggie turned the corner, the flash of a camera blinded him. He blinked to see no other than Yuu, ghost camera in hand. “Caught you.”
Shit shit shit. Did they have enough evidence? Ruggie began to sweat before he lunged at the prefect, aiming for the camera in their hand. But the prefect was slick, easily dodging the attempt. Hmph, fine, what can a simple magicless human do against this!
“Laugh with me!” Ruggie smirked as he took control of the prefect's body, what he didn’t account for was Yuu’s position— and his magic was not immune to gravity. What he planned on doing was making Yuu hand the camera to them, what he didn't realize was just how close they were to the edge of the balcony and that they were still airborne from jumping away from him.  Yuu gasped as their arm stuck out behind them, making them no longer able to catch themselves as they hit the balustrade and fell off the edge down to the ground below.
Ruggie froze. “Yuu!” A choir of voices exclaimed as they rushed to the railing where Yuu fell from looking over. He has to retreat, now, the prefect should be fine, it's not that high up! Panicking, Ruggie dropped the magical pens in an unspoken apology as he ran off. “Holy shit that's a lot of blood…” he heard one of the freshies say. Pfft how is that possible unless they broke a bone or hit their h…ead…
Ruggie peaked over the railing as he ran, though it was far away his hyena eyes locked on to the ground below. The ghost camera’s parts were scattered across the field, and blood was splattered everywhere, originating from their head now cracked open.
Adrenaline kicked in, and Ruggie started running faster. It was an accident, he tells himself, they'll be fine, he's done some bad stuff before but he’d never kill someone! They couldn't pin it on him anymore anyways! It was just an accident.
It was just an accident!
Leona Overblot
Leona felt his head pounding as he sat up. The lion let out a groan as he rubs his head and looks around. Piles of sand surrounded him, and he sees some of the freshmen shakily get up, heavily bruised. Those damned Diasomnia dogs also stood about on their guard as the smallest one, Lilia, seemed to sift for the sand as if looking for something. Riddle himself was on his knees as he dug, allowing himself to get filthy.
Across from him Ruggie sits, holding his arm that was dry and cracked from his Unique Magic. An attempt on his own vice leader's life. The hyena warily glares at him, more fearful than angry as he stares at something behind Leona. “Ruggie… I…” “Do you remember what you did?” Another voice cuts in, Lilia’s.
The lion looked at the fae that stood beside him, noting at how frantic the freshmen were in the background, digging through sand piles, even Jack was in his wolf form as raced around them. “I overblotted… Didn’t I?” Lilia’s gaze was unreadable, he didn’t look angry, however the neutral expression he had was mixed with pity. Ruggie pushes himself further away from Leona. “You did more than that,” he wheezes out as he scoots back, staring at someone behind Lilia. Leona turns to look only to see the lizard bastard walking through the sand, his guards on either side of them.
What happened? Why is everyone so worried? Why are those stupid freshmen digging about? Actually wait, where's that ramshackle scavenger? “Kingscholar,” Malleus paused, voice filled with disbelief, “What have you done?” What did he do? He didn't do whatever he think he did… right…?
With a wave of Malleus' hand, he blows away the sand gently, leaving behind a large pile of what looked like ash. Was that…?
Deuce immediately ran over, allowing himself to skid on the ground kicking up dust as examined the pile. Ace, Grim, Riddle, Jack and even Lilia kneeled down at it. “I feel something!” Riddle gasps, pushing off blackened sand to reveal an arm sticking out. The others start to carefully dig out the figure from the sand as Leona could only watch, unable to stand up. Malleus along with his retainers joined.
Leona could see the body emerge from the sand, their head carefully cradled and laid onto Malleus’ lap as the fae examined their tear-stained face covered in a layer of dust. There wasn't an inch of skin on them that wasn't dried or cracked, some of it completely breaking off to sand, muscle was exposed and oozed blood. “Careful, try not to touch them, they're still alive.” Lilia's calm voice leaves no room for argument.
Riddle carefully holds his hand over Yuu’s body, warm light emanating from it to soothe the prefect's pain. Yuu lets out a strangled wheeze, and suddenly turns their head to the side and hacks up a mix of sand, bile, and blood. “Fuck, I’m sorry!” They cry out, wheezing, trying to catch their breath. “Back away. I’ll take care of it.” Malleus demands as the sky turns dark and cloudy. Everyone obeys, and Malleus gestures with his fingers, making whatever remains of Yuu float upwards.
Their clothes were tattered and you couldn’t even see a patch of skin on them that wasn't drowned out by cracks or blood, even their eyelids were cracked, making tears leak out easier. “It hurts… it hurts so fucking much…” Leona swallowed, standing up as he saw double and reaching out to Yuu in front of him.
“Away from the young master!” Sebek said through gritted teeth, surprisingly quiet as to not disturb Yuu further. “You have done enough already! Now stay back!” The half-fae scowled, eyes watery. Leona retracts his hand and stares at it, ignoring all the murderous stares sent his way.
He really does destroy everything, doesn’t he?
Jade’s Mistake
Jade was a calculating eel. Everything he does is done with purpose, from what he cooks to what he says, to what emotions he shows. Jade is aware of his strength as well.
Like his brother, he knows when to reign it in and hold back, humans are so much more fragile than mers, after all. He doesn’t need to use a lot of force with how dense his bones were from living in the ocean, still he does test out various assortments of forces on others. Everyone around him was his personal lab rat really, he's quite fine with being alone.
If anyone expected one of the twins to take it too far, they would have never expected it to be Jade. Jade could hardly believe it himself either. He was just doing business as usual. Jade simply had to make sure the naive little freshmen got a reality check. There was no way they could ever win against the contract they made. Azul sent them out to make sure of that, yet this human, a magicless one, of all things, seeks to oppose them? How utterly interesting, and here he thought the prefect was boring.
The freshmen's spells were nothing noteworthy, his brother's magic made it so that he didn’t even need to attempt to dodge. And yet, that magicless little prefect charged onwards despite having no way of defending themselves, as if they actually expected to somehow slip past him. Jade chuckled, making a show of his eel form as raised his tail and then dipped down to the sand, not giving Yuu a chance to react as his tail snatched them up, coiling around their waist and arms, binding them.
Floyd squealed with laughter as he watched his brother come back up to him with Yuu in tow as they kicked and squirmed, struggling against the slippery eel. “Hey! Let my henchman go!” Grim snarled as Jade flaunted the prefect in front of him. “I do wonder, do you still plan on attacking us when there's a possibility you can hurt your darling prefect?” “Dammit!” Jack huffs, and all the freshmen look at each other, unsure of what to do next.
Yuu however has not given up, they have a fire of defiance in their eye that turns Jade intrigue to excitement. They were smart, he noted, the prefect kept their arms out to their side in order to give them the most space they could muster, though it didn't matter much with his grip. They used their bound arms and their hands to push against his tail, in an attempt to unravel it, even twisting their body to loosen Jade’s hold. In response, Jade squeezed ever so tighter, yet they still didn’t give up.
They thrashed again, making Floyd cackle and Jade chuckle. This time the prefect was using their own biology against him, using the mucus on his body as a form of lubrication in an attempt to slide out despite the tight hold. Jade decided to entertain them, slightly loosening his hold on them to see the flash of hope in their eyes, before squeezing even tighter.
The prefect wheezed, then snapped their head down in attempt to bite him, only to have their face held back by him by yanking back their hair. “Aw, you poor unfortunate soul~ In pain, in need.” Jade didn’t bother to hide his sadistic smirk. “Let go of them!” Deuce yelled, making Floyd shriek with laughter once again. Yet despite everything, Yuu still kicked, still squirmed. Just how much would it take for them to stop? It would be a great experiment~
Jade tightened his grip, not even allowing for the slight squirm, yet the prefect continued to kick their legs out, this time more panicked. Tighter, and tighter, and— Crack!
Floyd suddenly snapped his head over his brother, looking at his prey. “Yuu? YUU!” Ace was the first to try and swim up to the tweel, not caring if he was attacked. The prefect's eyes were glossy, their body stiff, but they were alive as they writhed in pain. Jade completely unraveled around Yuu, allowing them to slip out. He grabbed at them, trying to assess the injury done to them, just for them to pull away. He assumed they were going to swim off to Ace but they didn’t.
They cough out bloody air bubbles as they hold their throat as if they were suffocating, before using what was left of their strength to swim up towards the surface. The tweels understood immediately. Jade wrapped his tail around them gently, and Floyd gripped onto him to help propel them to the surface faster, the student shivering the whole time.
Once they breached, Yuu took a deep breath of air before throwing up seawater trapped in their lungs. Jade laid out on the surface to give Yuu more of an area to work with as he tried to see what was broken. Yuu was still shivering for some reason, was it just adrenaline?
“Little shrimp, are you okay?” Floyd asked, voice laced with panic. In the distance the other freshmen breach the surface, looking around for the tweels that blended in with their environment seamlessly. Yuu seemed to gurgle. Despite the fact they had air, they were still suffocating. But from what?
Suddenly Yuu coughed more blood, trying to choke in air as they crumpled onto Jade, smearing his chest a deep red. They shivered more and more. The realization hit Jade. “Their ribs must punctured their lungs.” Jade notes, and he tries to sit Yuu's body up as it starts to go limp.
“Yuu!” Grim huffs as he swims over to the tweels and reaches out to his leader. “Geez, you're freezing! Come on, come on! Let's get you back to some heat!” Jade's eyes widened further as another realization hit him. Grim and the other freshmen were completely dry still from the effects of their potion. Yuu on the other hand has goosebumps all over their body and trembled. The potion must have worn off when their lungs were punctured, and now it was a race between them choking on their blood and hypothermia.
“Yuu!” Deuce cried out, “Give them back, we need to take them to the nurse!” They were practically already dead. “Shrimpy? Shrimpy? Little shrimp! Hey!” Floyd lightly shook the human. “They won't make it to the nurse. Our best bet is a mer doctor.” Jade suddenly commanded, casting a warming spell on his body. “Floyd, using a water breathing spell, hurry!”
The freshmen cursed at the eels as they swam off in a frenzy, Yuu cradled gently in Jade's arms as the two glid through the water with ease. “Hang in there prefect, help is almost here.” Jade spoke, though for once it was more to soothe himself as adrenaline and guilt coursed through him.
Humans really were weak, huh?
Floyd’s Mistake
As you imagine, it was during the photo heist of book 3 as well. It just so happened that this time, Yuu ended up in Floyd’s grasp instead. His slip up could have been seen a mile away. Everyone expected it, they just never expected it to be so violent.
Floyd liked the little shrimpy! They were fun and squishy and never boring! They always got into some sort of trouble, and here they were literally signing up for it as they signed the contract that started it all. Even when he confronted them in the cafeteria, they would shy away until he started to mess with their friends, then suddenly the little shrimp became a mantis shrimpy.
To say Floyd was excited to meet shrimpy in the water was an understatement, he was elated! He couldn't wait to see how his little shrimp would fight back against the big bad eels! Would they be boring and give up? Or will they fight to the very end?
Floyd relished the panicked expression on their face when they saw the shadow of his figure in the water before he came into the view. The shock became a fiery determination that Floyd was going to have fun toying with. The annoying freshies fired their annoying spells at him that he didn’t even entertain dodging, opting to just use his magic instead.
The little shrimp had no magic, so what were they gonna do in the water? Floyd looked at the group of freshies just to see that Yuu wasn't there. Did the shrimpy decide to go back? That doesn’t seem like shrimpy though. Floyd looked around, just for his eyes to catch onto a small figure hiding amongst the seaweed during all of the crossfire. Ah so that's what shrimpy’s trying to do! What a smart little shrimpy!
The eel cackles maniacally as he dives down and snaps his tail around Yuu in a violent motion, knocking the wind out of them in one move. Floyd then swims back to Jade, showing off his catch. “Jade, looky looky~ I caught myself a little shrimpy!~” Floyd teases as he gently shakes the prefect.
“Hold your spells, they got Yuu!” Jack warned the others as they held back a spell, cursing under their breaths.  “Ahahah! Whatcha small fry gonna do now?” Floyd teases. “Floyd, you should consider binding your preys arms, you know?” “Eh but it's boring if they can't do anything, huh shrimpy?” Floyd uses the remainder of his tail to make Yuu nod before laughing again.
Yuu swings as Floyd, just for the eel to lean back. “Nice try!~” The eel's voice suddenly drops lower into a more threatening and serious tone. “You don't seriously think you're winning, are you?” Yuu kicks and pushes at the tail wrapped around them. “Okay I get we're fighting but you're squeezing too tight Floyd! It hurts!” Yuu uses their fists to pound against Floyds tail.
“Oh yeah? Really? I say its not tight enough…” “Floyd.” His brother's warning falls on deaf fins as Floyd leans in face-to-face with Yuu before squeezing tighter, making Yuu cough and tear up. Just as Floyd was about to let go, satisfied with his warning, Yuu suddenly shoves their fingers into the gills on Floyd’s neck violently gripping the slits of flesh. “Let go of me, you fucking bastard! I can’t breathe!” The prefect screams.
Floyd lets out a strangled gasp as he coughs, the feeling of Yuus nails scratching the inside of his throat making him feel nauseous. Their other hand finds the gills on his sides and pinches them roughly. Floyd then violently digs his claws into Yuu’s arm, making them straighten out their fingers in pain, enough for him to yank them out with ease. Yuu let out a cry of pain, but he doesn't loosen his grip at all, rather driving his claws in deeper. His other hand grabs onto Yuu’s neck in effort to push them away further without compromising his hold.
“Bad shrimpy!” Floyd yells. “Floyd please, I'm sorry but I need to—“ Snap.
“Shrimpy?” Yuu was limp, Floyd shook them slightly. “Hey shrimpy! This isn't funny! Shrimpy! Come on, Shrimpy!” There was no response. “Yuu… I…” A blast of flora hits Floyd in the chest, making him drop Yuu, the prefect unable to hold up their own head. “Get them and get out!” Grim yelps as the trio of students go to grab their friend. Deuce holds onto Yuu, holding their head carefully and applying pressure to the puncture wounds on their neck.
Floyd freezes and looks at his grip on their arm. His claws threatened to go all the way through and the bones were both now broken. Yuu let out a painful shriek, but it was off, garbled. Floyd looks over to his grip on Yuu's neck, his claws digging deep into their throat.
“Guys, they aren't breathing!” Deuce’s voice is shrill with terror. “Get them back through the portal now!” Jack yells. The students all book it back to NRC. Floyd watches with Jade, before the two start to swoop in, hoping they can help the group get back faster just to have a fireball thrown at them.
“You! You've both done enough! Stay away from my human!” Grim growls. “I understand your reservations but we're trying to help.” Jade attempts to soothe. “Yeah right! Like I trust you! I don't care if I get beat up here, which I won't! I'm not letting you hurt them!” Grim stands strong, unleashing another fireball for them to dodge
"You twins wouldnt get it, you have each other! You've always had each other, a nice family, a home! I never had any of that! Then one day, BAM the nicest henchman ever appears and helps me get into my dream school!” Grim is sobbing at this point.
“And they supported me the whole way through! Even though I’m not even human! Even when I get in trouble, they still treat me like I'm the best thing that ever happened to them despite my race! And now they might..!” Grim shakes.
“I'm not letting you near them! Not now! Not ever!”
Azul Overblot
Azuls eyes fluttered open, blurry vision clearing up to see Jade kneeling over him. “Are you up? Can you see me okay? Can you hear me?” “Yes… yes I can…” His throat hurt, his body was sore. “Follow my hand…” Jade waves his hand over Azul’s face to see if his eyes track it. Azul shuts his eyes for a moment before opening them again to look at Jade, his hair a disheveled mess. He could hear Floyd crying in the background.
“What… What happened? What’s going on??” Azul rubbed his forehead as he sat himself up. “It's Yuu! They’re dead!” “What?!” Azul snapped himself up just to hold his head in pain at the sudden movement. “Don’t say that!” Grim screeches at Floyd. “They can pull through!”
“Stop hovering!” Leona barks at Floyd as he props up the prefect on his lap. “We need to give them CPR now before anything else, they won't even be able to make it to the nurses otherwise.” Leona says as he ties back his hair. “You guys, their ribs are gonna have to break even more, prepare to heal them.” Leona presses his mouth to the prefects, blowing in air and giving rough chest but rhythmic chest compressions to them, the sound of cartilage crackling and snapping made Azul cringe inwardly as an invertebrate as he looked over at Yuu.
Their skin was paler than before from the lack of oxygen was the first thing he noticed, it was hard to really see what he had done with the amount of people crowding them. As he shakily stood up, he watched as other dorm members slowly back away from him in fear. This is what he always wanted, why does it feel wrong now?
Looking over Leona, he froze at the sight of Yuu’s body, they looked like they were stretched out, certain parts of them looked crushed or exploded. There was suction all over them, most of them taking off the skin underneath from how hard they gripped onto them. Azul trembled and he looked over at Jade, who’s expression was unreadable until he looked at him, a sad disappointment in his eyes, like he expected better.
Floyd on the other hand looked utterly distraught as he held onto Yuu’s hand, mumbling about the shrimpy staying strong under his breath. Ruggie was for once, concerned about someone else besides himself as he watches Yuu completely unsettled.
Jack looks up at Azul before looking away as if offended to even keep eye contact with him. The others were too focused on Yuu to even notice except Ace, who had nothing but malice in his eyes. “Was anything ever enough for you?” He spat. “You had everything! But it was never enough, huh?!” “Ace not now,” Deuce nudged the red head. “Fine, but I will say that at least now people will never mess with you again! Just like you wanted, right?” Deuce nudges Ace again. As the CPR continues for an uncomfortable amount of time, Azul realizes the possibility that Yuu is probably gone for good. Azul teared up.
He always was that pathetic little crybaby.
Jamil Overblot
“Now GO!” Jamil screeched, throwing the group of mages that opposed onto the broken pillar of the dorm. He lifted the pillar up with a wave of his hand and set to aim it at the horizon, until he saw them. That damned prefect that started it all.
If it wasn't for them, he would have won, he would be free right now! His eyes darkened as he locked onto them, grinning wryly at the fearful expression on their face. He held out his hand to Yuu in a flicking motion, the floating pillar staying in place. “Yuu get out of the way!” Floyd rasped, voice on the verge of giving out from how much we was screeching.
Flick.
The pillar flew straight into Yuu’s abdomen, sending the entire squad flying way out in the distance. A sense of peace filled the young man's mind as he relaxed, allowing his brainwashed servants to care for him. The weight of what he just did not set in on him. In his mind he now won, and he remembers the weight of everything lifted off his shoulders as his reign continued.
The very next thing he remembered is his pounding head, and a muffled voice resonated in his head, his ears were ringing and everything around him was so bright. “…mil… Jamil…. Jamil!” The viper’s eyes shoot open and he takes a deep breath of air. “Jamil!” Kalim cries, crushing Jamil into a hug and sobbing.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry… I didn’t know how you’ve been feeling this whole time! If I knew, this would have never happened. We could have been best friends! You wouldn’t have blotted! And… Yuu…” The mere mention of their name, makes Jamil push himself up harshly, the blurry memory of what happened moments before weighing in. Fuck, fuck, fuck that pillar! That’s at least a broken rib, and at worst…
“Floyd, stop crowding them, they need space right now!” Azul scolds in the background, Jamil’s gaze follows the voice and he forgets to breathe. “Prop them on their side, both their back and ribs are too injured. Focus your magic on this point," "Yes, Jade!” A few of the students say. Jamil stares at the body in front of him, borderline unrecognizable. Their front looked as though it was caved in, and as they are turned to their side he saw that most of the muscle and skin looked as though it was shredded off of them, whatever skin they had left was covered in friction burns. Clothes they once wore, now scraps.
Jamil doesn’t feel relief in the slightest when he hears them let out a weak, strangled cry of pain. The fact they’re alive at all is a miracle, but death would have been a much better mercy. When they recover, would they even be able to be the same? The wary glances from the other dorm members in the room tell him they’re all thinking the same thing.
“Hey! Let us in, let us in!” A few voices ring out in the distance, and Grim perks up. “Deuce! Ace!” The cat cries out, refusing to move from Yuu’s side. The pair burst into the common room, out of breath. “Grim, we got your guy’s message! Are you okay where’s—“ Deuce freezes, trembling when he sees what the cat stood in front of. “N-no way… please don't tell me that's…”
Ace turns his hands into fists. “Who did this?! Which one of you did this to them?! I fucking kill you!” Jamil spaces out, only able to stare at the back of his most unfortunate victim. The voices in the background of the trios arguing in the background faded as he allows Kalim to shake and hug him.
He was never going to get his freedom.
Vil Overblot
“..il…Vil!” Vil groggily opened his eyes to the sound of Rook's voice, sitting himself up as he looked around. “You’re alright…” Another voice said, but it was strained and weak. “We thought you were dead.” The leader tried to look at the source of the voice, just for his vision to blur. He blinked a few times and pinched the bridge of his nose before opening his eyes again tiredly, just for his tired expression to change to horror.
“Yuu?!” Vil boomed before letting out a cough. The magicless student in front of him looked horrible, acid burns across their arms and part of their face that burned off the first few layers of skin along with pitch black, discolored veins that surged with poison even after his blot. They had a pained expression as they panted, shaking as they stood and gripped one of their arms.
Some of their skin looked like it was already peeling. Epel had the student lean on him as Jamil casted some restoration magic on them, just for it to fizzle out or be ineffective. A frustrated and baffled expression grew on the scarabian's face. Ignoring his own dizziness, Vil stood up with the help of Rook. He approached Yuu who was on the verge of passing out.
Charging up his own curing magic in his hand forming a ball, he held it close to Yuu before unleashing it. Everyone around him looked relieved and Kalim was practically beaming. A bright flash of light blinded the group before fading and everyone looked at Yuu expectantly, waiting for their blackened veins to fade. A few seconds passed, then a minute. Nothing was happening.
“Are they okay now?” Kalim asked dumbly. “Do they look okay?” Ace rebuttals. No, something was wrong. It was his spell, his poison, why wasn’t it working? Searching through his mind through all of his knowledge of poisons, he casts another spell to try and counteract it instead. Nothing happens. Panic started setting in. His expression grew more and more concerned, making the students around him worry.
“Good grief what happened here…” Another voice echos among the ruins of the stage. “M-Malle-“ Deuce stuttered out, unable to finish the name. “Oh, hey Tsunotaro! You… came at a bad time…” “Tsunotaro?!” Jamil, Rook, Vil, and the freshmen erupt. “Dude are you trying to get finished off?!” Ace whisper-yells.
At the sight of his injured friend, Malleus’ expression becomes shocked, then grows dark. “Child of Man, what happened?” The group all went silent, even Vil didn’t speak. He wanted to claim responsibility then and there, but he knew that right now, Malleus would only listen to Yuu. Yuu tries to speak, starting a sentence just to stop.
“I… I don't know… I don't know what I was thinking…” “Come with me, you require serious medical help.” Malleus offers his hand for Yuu to take and put their weight on. “But the stage…” “You’re concerned about the stage in your state?” “… Crowley is probably going to blame me for it…”
Malleus pauses, and raises his hand, the rubble of the stage lifting back up to reassemble itself. As the others stare in awe, Malleus leaves with Yuu in his arms.
***
Vil was about to open the door to the nurses office until he heard two voices talking. It was Malleus and some of the medical staff he assumed.
“Mr… sir… uhh. Prince Malleus, about your friend…”
“Yes? What about them?”
“Do you happen to know their blood type? We have tested their blood and it’s not like anything we have seen before, hell the dna samples we took they’re… otherworldly…”
“I see… If that's the case…” Malleus sighs. “I don’t know anything relating to their health.”
“We are trying every treatment we can for magic or poisons but none are effective, sir, they are completely… ineffective.”
“I see…”
“Um… Prince Malleus, I do not mean to be rude but um, could your magic be used to heal them..?”
Vil’s breath hitched.
“I cannot. I originally planned to use a curing spell and then take them into Diasomnia for recovery, but my magic didn't work either.”
“How…? Are they cursed or something?!
“Perhaps it is because of their origin—”
Vil felt sick. He was killing them slowly.
Grim’s Freakout
You hoped to examine that strange blot gem that Vil dropped, and made sure to take extra precautions hiding it from Grim. As dumb as it sounded, you felt as though these were important somehow, that maybe they can help you find your way home. You placed it down on the nightstand after examining before heading off to use the bathroom. In retrospect, you probably should have put it up or hid it, as when you came out of the bathroom you immediately heard the familiar sound of your companion crunching down on something.
“Agh! Grim, no! Don’t!” Yuu rushed into the room but was too late, not even a shard of the gem was left. “Grim! I told you to stop eating those!” Grims mind was hazy as his body started processing the effects of the gem, Yuu's voice faded in and out. “I hid from you cause I KNEW… And now what?! That was my only lead… I’ve been here for a YEAR fixing everyone’s problems…. And I just want to— Grim? Grim, are you okay?”
Grim looked up at the human that was reprimanding them. For a moment, he recognizes them, their stressed and tear-stained face made him feel bad for a moment, until his vision blurred. He grabbed his head in pain and felt himself being worriedly picked up and examined. “Grim! Hey! Grim!”
When his vision returned, the world was darker, the face that was a friend now foe as it was blacked out and blurry. “Grim are you—AAGHHH! NO STOP PLEASE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS?! YOU’RE MY FRIEND!”
***
Deuce and Ace ran into the Ramshackle dorm at the emergency text they received.
> Theres aN emercy at ramshckle! SOmething happened to Grim please hirty
Yuu would never mess around like this for a prank. Something bad must have happened, they run through the halls and practically body slam into the mirror leading to Ramshackle. From there they run through into the dorm. “YUU! Hey Yuu! YuuuuUUUUU!”
Ace yelled out before panting. “I swear if its nothing…” “Come on let's go check their room.” Deuce offers, taking the lead up the stairs and wiping the sweat off his brow. “Yuu!” He calls, “We got your text…” Ace grumbled and followed Deuce, lagging slightly. Deuce reaches the top, freezing when he hears a soft sob. “Did you hear that?” “Hear what?”
Deuce sighs, a serious expression emerging as he quickens his pace to the door. “Yuu? Are you in there?” Deuce knocked on the door just for it to open as he did so. Ace looked at his friend as he made his way over. He watched as Deuce's expression become terrified before turning into utter devastation. His wide eyes glaze with tears and he covers his mouth with his hands, gagging slightly.
“Geez man what did you s—“ Ace stood next to Deuce and was immediately hit with the scent of blood and something burning, he glanced at the floor which had a blood trail coming out of the room. Following the trail slowly, he stared into the room and froze. He felt as though he was going to puke.
Blood and soot covered everything. The curtains and furniture along with the walls have scorch marks and dried blood on them. The sheets and mattress of the bed were torn up and soaked with blood, blankets still smoking from the recent flames that were put out. The mirror on the wall was pitch black. Worst of all was Yuu.
They were curled into a ball in the center of the bed, trying their best to cover their face, or what remained of it. There were claw marks exposing bones of the prefect's skull, which was completely drenched in their own blood. Some of the wounds cauterized from the flames that were blown on them. Fingers melted together. Patches of skin looked as though they were still burning, yet worst of all were their eyes.
The eyelids on one of their eyes were torn off, exposing their eyeball that stared off in the distance, and the other appeared to be soldered shut. Ace shook. “Holy shit… Holy shit!” Ace gags, and the sound elicits another sob from Yuu. “Holy shit! You're… You're alive!”
Deuce moves first, running over and cradling Yuu’s face looking for a pulse. Ace follows and reaches out before retracting a hand, not knowing what to do. “I’m… I… Cmon, let's take them to the nurse!” “On it.” Ace helps Deuce lift the prefect, pulling out his phone and messaging his Dormleader with the news, begging him to contact Crowley.
They couldn’t die like this.
Idia Overblot
Idia awoke to the sound of sirens blaring. In his tired state, he didn’t recognize what it was at first, the sirens screeching faint before getting louder. Idia jerked awake from where he was and was greeted by a sobbing Ortho who practically squeezed him. “Ortho? I… Eh… What’s going on?” The announcer on the speakers kept repeating the word “Overblot In Progress'' like a mantra, before Ortho gave the command to shut off the sound, red lights still flash and all screens on the walls keep the warning up. That was strange, he was no longer blotted, and any phantom that unfroze should have been frozen again.
Idia gets up from the bench he was laid on and looks around, recognizing that he’s in one of the many lab rooms of Styx. Many scientists hovering around the holograms projected on the table or at the computers mashing their keyboards. The previous blots, along with Rook and Epel were also hovering around the tables with wide-eyed expressions. “Ortho what's happening?”
“Shroud!” One of the scientists yells. “There is an emergency, we need your guidance!” “Wh…” Idia’s head felt like it was splitting in half. Looking around he cant help but feel someone is missing, but he didn’t have time to think about it. “Ortho, report!”
“There’s an abnormal Overblot occurring down in the phantom chambers! We have never seen anything like it before!” “Abnormal? What do you mean by that?” Epel interrupts, spitting words with a venom and letting his accent out. “It means ma best pardner who happens t' be magicless is currently filled with blot!” “That’s not possible! What do y…”
Idia pushed through the other members around the table seeing what was unfolding. A menacing figure stood in the middle of phantoms, all of which pushing and stampeding across each other to reach them. The figure looked like a huge humanoid made of ink, limbs abnormally long and outstretched reminding Idia of some beast from a soulsborne game. Its face was blank aside from two glowing eyes that keep getting brighter and brighter, within them, you can see a figure trapped within the beast.
Idia immediately started typing on one of the keyboards, attempting to input the freeze command just for it to fail over and over. He sweated as he tried to input a few others, just for the same error to pop up. “C’mon c’mon c’mon…” Idia opened the code to try and troubleshoot, if any of the phantoms reach where Yuu is—
“HENCHMAN!” Grim screamed, making Idia nearly crack his neck from how fast he looked up. The phantoms reached the blot creature, immediately being absorbed into the creature, getting bigger and bigger, inky geysers swirled around the figure, then it shook. “Readings say blot implosion is happening sir—-AUGH!”
The entire facility shook. Within an instant, the impossible amount of blot condensed and swirled into the student within the figure. A deep darkness flashed like a light, and suddenly, Yuu was suspended in the air, before they suddenly dropped. For a moment, all the alerts cleared, and zooming in on Yuu showed they were breathing.
“Ortho can you get a scan?” “Scanning… All vitals are sta…ble…?” “That doesn't sound good…” Leona groaned. The alarms went off again, this time louder and more frequent. “Ortho, turn it down!” “On it!”  A new warning appeared everywhere. “God-Level Phantom detected.” "God level?" Jamil gawked.
“How could this happen?” A few scientists moan.
“No person would ever do this!”
“Idia, sir! Their DNA! It matches nothing from this world!”
“sir, there has appeared to have been a significant amount of blot in them before!”
Idia paled and a realization hit him. They are not from this world, and so they would have a different reaction to being in contact with blot… They have also been the one common denominator in every blot at NRC, they were in contact with each one, no one has ever been around that many overblots in such a short period of time … That blot. It must have accumulated in them, and they never had enough time to fully heal before their contact with the next one. It must have been clawing its way into them since the very beginning.
Still, a god leveled phantom… Nothing like this has happened since the war of Gods millennia ago! There was no tech that could even handle that… Idia looked at the cameras again. Yuu trembled, before standing—no, floating— to their feet. They looked normal aside with their roughed up clothes, but something felt off. The way they stood, they way their head hung down. It wasn’t Yuu. Black smoke seemed to emanate off them, causing the NRC bunch to start yammering.
They suddenly lifted their head, making direct eye contact with the camera, eyes glowing. Ferrymen rushed into the chamber, all surrounding Yuu before firing their weapons, but nothing hit. The once magicless student just simply raised their hand, lifting everyone in a tidal wave of blot before washing them out. They then grabbed one of the men, tearing off their mic and speaking into it.
“Release us.” Idia paled. “What the hell…” Epel whispered. “Release us… Shroud…” Idia gestured for the intercom. “You know I can’t do that Yuu.” Yuu stayed eerily calm, but this time when they spoke, Idia felt sick. “Please brother… It's been years. I want to be free!” Idia and Ortho shared looks of horror as they went through the stages of grief all at once.
“It's dark down here. I’m scared.” Idia hands shivered. “I’m sorry Ortho, you know what has to happen. Please just… Don’t fight it…” Idia, this time, put in another command, finger hovering over the button. “Ortho, prepare for evacuation.” He pressed the button. The entire chamber started flooding with temperatures reaching lower than ever allowed in the facility, and in a larger amount than ever done before.
Ferrymen and scientists all started escaping and running out of the facilities, the NRC students chauffeured on the hovering vehicles Idia commanded as everyone made it for a safe point on the surface of the ocean. “I can't believe it…” Rook mumbles. “Just like that…” Riddle says in a daze.
The students were all quiet for the first time in the entire trip there. Idia could only stare at the ocean as he sobbed.
“I'm sorry Ortho… I'm sorry Yuu…”
Malleus Overblot
“Can I… Help you with something…?”
The storms over NRC have yet to fade, and each day the weather only seems to get worse. It has been two weeks since that fateful day. Two weeks when he was defeated and everyone was free for the price of them. Two weeks when one of the best humans he has ever known was taken from him.
“They aren’t dead yet, Malleus.” Lilia replied, standing in the doorframe of his room as Malleus continued to stare melancholically out the window. He closed his eyes. “I know.” “So why are you already mourning? There's still hope.” Malleus doesn't respond. “It is unfair to everyone to ruin the weather, you know?” Usually the fae wouldn’t try to push Malleus when he’s already upset, but many of the streets have started flooding on Sage Island.
Silence hung in the air until Malleus broke it. “It’s impossible. They will never wake up.” “They could. It will just take—" "True loves kiss.” Malleus finishes. “But that is impossible for them, and you know it too.” Malleus turned around to look at Lilia, it was one of the rare times you could see the ancient fae mourn as well. “But there is a chance.”
Malleus shook. “The only one that had a chance was Grim for a familial love… but the spell does not for allow monsters.” Silence hung in the air again and before Lilia could open his mouth to speak again, Malleus did. “Please Lilia, leave me be.” Lilia deflated and turned to leave.
His fingers dig into the windowsill. “Enough!” He booms. “There is no way for them to ever get a true love's kiss in this world. Some stranger cannot develop true love for the idea of them. Every student here has not been true enough to their feelings for them in a proper way for any sort of love to develop, and there is no way it could ever be me, not after what I have done!”
***
Malleus stood in your room, or rather, your room in Ramshackle. Around and on your bed were offerings of all sorts. Snacks, flora, cards, plushies along with an assortment of other items surrounded you from students across both NRC and RSA. It was probably the only time that foreign students were allowed on campus without issues.
He stood over you. You are just as peaceful as ever, and the sight of your unconscious body only continues to remind him of what he did. How after you defeated him, and awoken everyone, you seemed tired. And during the brief period of celebration, the fanfare, as everyone woke up and started to appreciate you, you collapsed.
He worried that it was from a more severe injury he couldn't see. You were a bit roughed up. Some minor burns on your arms and bruises painting your body. There were a few nasty cuts you bled from, but surely they weren't enough to cause blood loss? Students saved you from your fall, checking for injuries and using magic.
A tear fell onto you as he hovered over you, black hair forming a curtain, he didn't even realize he was crying. “Oh dear, I’m sorry about…” The fae couldn't get the words out. He gently wiped the tear off of your face as he admired it closer. You were beautiful. His breath hitched, as he adjusted your face to fit his, then pressed his lips to yours, hoping that by some miracle, it was true love.
The fae finds it both amusing and frustrating that nearly everyone in this school seemed to have only noticed how much they appreciate and care for you, after you are no longer with them. It's not fair… It's not fair to you at all. You've done so much.
He already knew the answer though. He was one of the students that didn’t allow for his feelings to develop enough for true love. Your still-sleeping face proved that. If only we were more open, if he approached you first…
You’re gone.

Again, I thank y'all for the reblogs, likes and comments guys, it really helps me :)

Ex-fucking-hale.......
You're about to have a stroke right now.
You should've just went back to the goddamn infirmary instead of checking in on these obnoxious, bitch-less, probably father-less, motherfuckers.
It's just cleaning windows!! How the hell can you mess up like this?! Why the fuck did the cafeteria chandelier get involved??
GODDAMNIT!! WHY IS YUU INVOLVED AS WELL?! AHHHH—!
*One eternity of screaming like a banshee later*
After sending those damn kids and cat away to get some sort of magical stone in some godforsaken mine, you wrangled with the headmaster for at least two hours to prevent him from writing up the expulsion papers of Yuu and that Blue-haired kid who was mostly innocent about the ordeal.
(Meanwhile, encouraging him to kick that Ace kid and the damn cat off the school. You ain't about to let audacity run free rn, mostly because you feel yourself start genuinely tweaking as you almost got possessed by the urge to sucker punch someone's soul out of their body.)
[Satan perked up, there it was again.
That distinctive spark of wrath that he can feel through your pact with him is both concerning and comforting.
On one hand, the anger he feels means that you're alive. And seeing that what he's feeling through the pact is mostly annoyance, then that must mean that nothing marginally bad or traumatizing had happened to you yet.
You're actually more pissed off in a 'someone-had-the-audacity-to-eat-my-snacks' kind of way more than anything else, meaning that you're safe for now.
But on the other hand, he doesn't know how long that temporary safety will last.
There's also the fact this is the fourth time he'd felt that spark of 'I-wanna-punt-someone-into-the-fuckin-sun' kind of anger from you, which is worrying because it hasn't even been 48 hours since you were kidnapped by some mf.
He shook his head, calling upon a subordinate (read: Devoted fan) to collect more and more books to learn what type of teleportation and sleeping magic was used in your kidnapping.
With the massive search party spanning all three realms that they'd called upon, they will find you sooner or later.
And once they do...
Well... You'll need to get used to being with someone at all hours of the day.]
*Passive-aggresively reminding Crowley that he can't kick out an innocent kid for something they didn't directly do as they had no way of stopping the events that transpired.*
["You don't want the word to get out that you let an innocent teen roam around in a foreign world with absolutely nothing to their name and nobody to protect them, right?"
"That is true, but I still can't just let this go unpunis–"
"Especially when it's the school's faulty equipment that took them so far away from all of their loved ones and belongings, right?"]
Needless to say, Yuu ended up being "fired" in the end, quite an unfortunate result because they will need to freeload off of you until the end of your stay in this world. (Poor them, they got fired before they knew that they had a job in the first place.)
Oh well, it's better than being kicked out from practically their only way back home right now...
Hays... That cruel crow..
Anygays, it's time to snoop around and hopefully make some connections to the residents of this school.
This is a well-known college, right? So there should be influential people here somewhere...
Hehe.. It's time you bring out your gaslight, gatekeep, gold-digging skills so that you can girlboss your way into stability inside this foreign world.

Suddenly, more than a dozen individuals felt a strong shiver run up their spines.
Haha... Well that's ominous!

Ortho deadpanned at his brother.
It seems that almost burning down their dorm room last night isn't enough to deter him from making his [Mr. L/n x reader] fanfiction complete with mandatory fan art for every single chapter.
Haaa....
But at least his brother isn't 'fanboying' about another fictional character again...
Hm... Now that he thinks about it..
Maybe his brother will be more inclined to make friends if it's Mr. L/n!
And thus begins Ortho's journey of being an unknowing wingman as he tries to get his introverted brother to make friends.

You narrowed your eyes as you looked at the small gift on top of your temporary bed in the infirmary.
Dats suspicious....
Dats weird......
You turn your necklace into a staff and start poking the box, trying to see if it'll suddenly turn into a horrific eldritch monster and jump you. (Won't be the first time that happened.)

"It is done, ××× ×× ××××××" (This is too easy to guess😑)

Diavolo sighed for the tenth time that hour, lamenting how trying to focus on his paperwork is a really hard task when MC gets thrown into the situation.
'Maybe a small break will help clear my head?'
He might as well just go out for a walk in the garden to get some fresh... air...
Oh? what is this?
His eyes scanned the dark envelope he'd seen wedged under the 'To burn' stack of paperwork in his desk.
This envelope wasn't here yesterday...
After confirming that the piece of paper wasn't cursed or charmed, he opened it with apprehension.
...!
This..!

Barbatos appeared in the office, tense as he'd heard his lord call out his name with haste.
Reading the letter shoved in front of his face by the serious Diavolo, Barbatos made a mental note to get the dungeon chambers ready.
They've got themselves a lead.

***Spoilers for Seraph of the End manga chapter 131***
I just wanna talk about Mika and Yuu's changes in demeanor in this chapter. This page, in particular, was actually really sad to me.
Tumblr media
Mika, while going along with Yuu's plans and ideas, was never really enthusiastic or optimistic about their chances of turning him back into a human. He was never super invested in saving his own life, but now that it's Yuu's life, he's suddenly super motivated. It's sad to me because it really emphasizes Mika's disregard for his own life. He didn't care as much about saving himself, but it's clear that he's about to pour all of himself and then some into keeping Yuu safe. It makes a depressing kind of sense. He's always been like this. Even as a kid, he gave up his body and blood to a vampire in order to provide for his family. He gave his life to distract Ferid to ensure that at least Yuu made it out alive. He then spent the next four years starving himself in order to keep as much of his humanity as possible and searching for Yuu. Once he found him, it was his single-minded mission to take Yuu away from the people who might be hurting him and to keep him safe. Mika has always held other people's lives, especially Yuu's, far above his own, and this chapter made this even more apparent.
Honestly, Yuu is the same way. He is 100% willing to sacrifice himself for the people he loves. Mika knows this, which is why he wanted Yuu to promise not to do exactly that. But notice, Yuu managed to avoid actually making the promise. Mika kept asking, but Yuu kept changing the subject.
Tumblr media
I hope that doesn't come back to bite us later...
As for Yuu's change in demeanor, it is also very telling. While Mika seems upbeat and motivated now that he can focus on keeping Yuu safe, Yuu seems more subdued and much less enthusiastic about it. Yuu was putting all of himself into trying to save Mika, but now that he's the one who needs to stay safe, he doesn't seem as driven. Yuu and Mika have literally swapped places. They are both ready to give their all to protect each other while at the same time being reluctant to give anywhere near that same amount of energy when it comes to helping themselves.

Deep Regret
Malleus x Yuu
Warning: Major Character death(s), cannibalism, and gore
Malleus eats Yuu. Literally.
(Blame the sick freaks from the discord. I feel rightfully ashamed)
Malleus's mouth tastes like rust. His lips are sticky but dry. He felt full, like he had eaten an entire cake. Unpleasant but somehow satisfied.
Remembered that he was on his way to Ramshackle where his dear friend was waiting. His heart felt so light. His sweet child of man smiled at him in the moonlight.
They had much to talk about. It had been awhile since they last had time to really talk.
They had given him a gift. They called it a friendship charm. He was supposed to keep it with him always and they would keep the other. It was a pretty glass charm. Bright green stained glass glittered in the light. It felt like the greatest gift he had ever received.
But Malleus didn't remember what happened after. Now he stood in the light of daybreak, surrounded by eyes of horrified onlookers.
Yuu's blue and red friends stood in front and Grim hid behind them shaking.
"HOW COULD YOU! THEY TRUSTED YOU!" The ginger screamed with his wand pointed at Malleus and tears streaming down his face.
"Congrats you lizard bastard, you proved them all right." Leona spat hatefully pushing the hyena and wolf further back in the crowd protectively.
Malleus looked around confused but the evidence was at his feet.
Then the memories flooded back.
He didn't know what really happened but Yuu's hand was bleeding. They explained that they cut themselves while making the charm but it was okay.
Malleus had only wanted to take a look, to make sure they were really fine. But he didn't know what happened. It smelled so sweet and he only wanted to taste. That was all.
But one lick turned into more as he peeled back the skin to drip more blood into his mouth. Yuu tried to pull away, they thrashed trying to escape but Malleus held tighter. They yelled so loud.
But he couldn't control it. He just wanted a nibble, they wouldn't miss a pinky right? It was so cute and it was so tender the way it snapped between his teeth.
Malleus wished it was logical but he did was far from it. Like a wild animal he consumed.
Each finger, one by one was taken. So delicious but where merely an appetizer. The hand, the arm next. The skin was so soft and plush. Those same arm that wrapped around him so gently now devoured. If had his mind he would feel grieve, he'd cry. But the only one who cried was Yuu as they sobbed and begged. They screamed "Why?" and Malleus couldn't answer.
Malleus kept eating. He broke fragile bones that got in the way that protected those sensitive organs. He ate the salty flesh from those bones. He dined on them so savagely.
Yuu eventually stopped crying after letting out a raspy low gurgle. If they were gone Malleus didn't know. It would change nothing if they had lost consciousness while being eaten alive or truly died then. It could only matter to loved ones left behind not the killer.
Now Malleus stood over the remains of his friend. The mangled corpses even in its twisted state still bust resembled it original form while covered in its own blood and viscera. Yuu's eyes still stared up at him asking "Why?"
An empty hole in their chest was where the harts was supposed to be.
Malleus's gaze drifted absently across the crowd. Silver and Sebek looked horrified and heartbroken as they looked away from him. And Lilia...never had he seen such grief and shame.
Lilia more than anyone would blame himself. He had never even shown disappointment toward Malleus since the day he hatched. But now...he saw his greatest failure since the day Malleus's mother died.
Malleus knew there was nothing left now. Nothing he wanted beyond this at least. There was no going back.
He didn't know what had happened to him and he didn't want to know. All he knew was that he didn't want it.
He picked up the bloody glass pendent he had been given and handed it to Silver.
"Silver you must finish what your birth father started. I'm truly sorry." He Malleus said.
Silver jerked away and shook his head. He still hadn't come to terms with what happened but he knew so many others right now would gladly do it instead of him.
"I understand." These where the last thing he said before taking the glass charm in hand.
Then with slow agonizing movements in front of the horrified crowd, he carved out his own heart and placed it where Yuu's heart once was.
"There now you truly have my heart, love. Like I had yours." Malleus whispered in a hoarse voice before collapsing and never moving again.
(There it's done! This is not cannon to anything I've ever written. This was hard to write.)

hi! i absolutely adore your stories and if you have the time, would like to request the octotrio (separately) and malleus, rook, and deuce (separately) with a gender-neutral yuu s/o who’s from a apocalyptic dystopian world
so something like, even before they started dating yuu, it was pretty obvious how they were always on edge and were confused by the simplest of things like what a birthday was, and concepts like a bank or the ocean environment or healthy living non toxic plant life because all that was lost to time from before their world collapsed on itself and they very much still have habits learned from surviving in that environment, so i imagine one day while they are on a date or something they ask yuu a simple question, one they didn’t even consider a hard or intrusive question but yuu freezes and starts to tear up and gives context on what their world was like for the first time, so like how the oceans are more like sludgy toxic wastelands where a single breath could kill you and how it’s not uncommon to see people murder others and how they don’t even want to go back because they aren’t scared of the students who hate them or the overblots they have to deal with, but they are scared of losing them. again, only write this if you have time because even if you don’t i will continue to support you and your work, i just love me a good angst/comfort fic
Again, gender-neutral. Guess who was selected by the random number generator!
Tumblr media
Deuce Spade
You both got off on the wrong foot, what with you being frantic about losing Grim. He asked why you were so freaked out about someone you had barely met, and you just brushed him off. Once you did find the cat, Deuce was surprised at the pure seriousness in your tone as you stated that he will not run off again or he will be locked out of Ramshackle.
Anyways, when you both are dating, you do open up to him. It was actually when he took you on a date to the village at the bottom of the mountain where you asked why the water was so clear when coming from the fountain. He was confused and asked if you didn’t have fountains in your world. You froze, staring into the clean water, then you started shaking as you sat down on the ledge.
“Well, there’s no clean water at all. You usually have to filter it yourself. I had never seen a clean ocean until I went to Octavinelle. Back home, you have to wear gas masks around any body of water because of the radiation. The first time I attended a party of some sort was the unbirthday party held. You wonder why I’m not scared of anyone, and it’s because I have seen a dead body before, and half of the time I’m wondering when someone will not make it out of their overblot alive.
“... I don’t want to go back, Deuce.” The waterworks started working the water, and tears started spilling. Your boyfriend immediately sat next to you, wrapping his arms around you. From what you had just told him, it sounds like you’ve been through Hell and back. He felt shitty for prodding into your life, but at least now he knows a small piece of what you have gone through.
Tumblr media
Azul Ashengrotto
He saw your curiosity when you entered Octavinelle, but a lot of students react that way when they go to the dorm for the first time. He paid no mind to it, but he did pay mind to your rather hostile attitude. You knew very well about making deals with shady people, and you actually had your hand on your knife as you demanded that he let your friends out of your contract. Needless to say, it was a rough first impression.
That did get the wheels turning in his mind, though. When you started dating, you were very thrown-off about the issues he had gone through as a child. However, when he asked about what it was like when you were a child, you froze up. Your eyes went wide, and he thought that something was happening. However, you took a deep breath and shakily went to explain the circumstances in which you grew up.
“Well, you can’t go near the oceans because one breath and the air could kill you. There are mutated animals as well as humans trying to kill you. Humans are at the bottom of the food chain. I’ve made promises to people who I knew would end up dead. I’ve had to bury some of them myself.
“I’m not scared of many things, but I don’t want to lose you like I’ve lost many others.” Tears started streaming, and Azul quickly whipped out his handkerchief and started wiping your tears. He told you that he would do his best to take care of himself so that you wouldn’t worry about him anymore, and he placed a soft kiss on your forehead to help you calm down a bit.
Tumblr media
Jade Leech
Again, he saw your curiosity when you entered Octavinelle, but he didn’t dismiss it like his boss did. After your rather violent meeting, he went up to you and asked if he could give you a tour around the place. You, however, were not easily tricked and even had your knife easily accessible in the case he tried something funny.
Well, it obviously went well because months later you were dating. However, the memory of you being so curious and taken aback when you first visited Azul never left Jade’s mind. To be fair, you had no magic, so he assumed it was just that. He asked you about it one day, and your smile immediately dropped as you looked away. He was growing steadily concerned until you started speaking.
“I had never seen the ocean in such a peaceful state. Back in my world, it’s a toxic wasteland. You inhale so much as one breath, you’re a goner. The first time I went to your dorm, it was the first time I had seen a clean and clear ocean. It was beautiful, and I almost felt at-peace there until I remembered what my friends had done to themselves and what I went there to do. But, it’s how I met you.
“I don’t ever want to leave Twisted Wonderland, and I don’t want to leave you, Jade. As sketchy as you are, I can at least rely on you to be unreliable.” The eel was very surprised at your little sentiment and at the apparent state of your world, but he wiped away the stray tear and placed a kiss upon your lips before apologizing for prying.
Tumblr media
Floyd Leech
He, too, noticed your interest in the Octavinelle biome and a;most immediately asked about it. You just brushed it off back then, saying something about how you should not be conversing with the enemy. He didn’t like it because you spent the entire time ignoring him. However, you managed to grab his attention, and he eventually managed to grab yours much later by saving you from getting grabbed by Azul’s tentacle.
It didn’t take much for him to win over your heart because of that one incident, and how he swore to protect his ‘shrimpy’. However, the memory of how you were so hostile towards him and how you have pulled a knife on him a few different times whenever he snuck up behind you. One day, he asked about it, specifically because you pulled a knife on him again.
“You don’t even want to know, Floyd. The amount of times I have almost been killed is a higher number than you could reach when you count. I keep a weapon on me at all times just in case one of my enemies from my world manages to make it into Twisted Wonderland. Now, if you could please stop scaring me, I wouldn’t almost stab you every time I see you.”
As you can imagine, this definitely surprised him, but he told you that you didn’t need to have a weapon because he would always be there to protect you. He picked you up in his arms, leaving you squirming and trying to wiggle yourself out of his grasp, and he started the trek back to his dorm where he could cuddle you until you felt better.
Tumblr media
Rook Hunt
It should surprise no one that he is stalking you, and that you can tell you are being stalked. You saw him hiding in the trees in your peripheral vision, and eventually you got to a point where you were deeply unsettled. You quickly grabbed your knife and threw it at him, almost hitting him had he not caught it by the handle. He jumped down to return it to you, and that was the start of a really weird relationship.
However, it did not escape the hunter’s mind, how you had a knife on your person. Not just any knife, but a throwing knife. He was lucky to be wearing leather gloves or he might have cut himself. He eventually asked you about it, making sure that you were aware that you didn’t have to reveal anything that you didn’t want to. After all, he didn’t want his beloved trickster to feel pressured. He felt as though he did something wrong when he saw your smile disappear, but you began speaking.
“To sum it all up, it’s a total wasteland. War ruined my world, and it’s every person for themself. I’m very used to being stalked, either because someone wants me to join their band of merrymen or to kill me and loot my body. It’s also not uncommon for someone to become a cannibal when they haven’t had access to food like we did at our camp.”
Not going to lie, it sounded like a twisted, dystopian novel to the hunter. Even though he’s very analytical and he guessed that things weren't going well in your world, he never expected it to be that bad. He took his glove off to quickly wipe away your tears and pressed his forehead against yours, swearing upon his life that you would never be brought to harm in his presence.
Tumblr media
Malleus Draconia
You both met when he went to Ramshackle, not knowing it was inhabited. However, he was aware that two knives were making their way to him, spinning in the air. He used his magic to suspend them, and he turned around to see you. The knives dropped to the ground, and he assured you that he didn’t mean to scare you, and that he did not know anyone was here. Another weird start to a weird relationship.
This wasn’t the only interesting instance either. You have attacked a few of his retainers for surprising you, and he had to admit that he had never seen anyone at NRC have reactions quite like yours. He didn’t really like to impose upon your life, but he was very curious as to what could cause you to be very hostile. Eventually, on one of your nightly walks, he asked. You froze, and he quickly regretted asking but you started speaking.
“The government gave up way before I was born. My family is dead, and most of my camp back home is either sick or gone to scavenge about. Until I got teleported here, I had never seen a clean ocean or a true plant rather than some messed-up, mutated version. I have blood on my hands, and I’m not the type to hesitate.”
Typically, murder is not justified. However, as you continued explaining the state of your world, it all came as a shock to the dragon prince. Then, you got to the part where you had been betrayed by your friend and had to kill them as a result. The memory made you start tearing up, and your boyfriend here took your face in his hands and gently wiped away your tears before giving you a kiss and promising his title as the Crowned Prince of Briar Valley that no harm would come to you.

Yuu and Grimm Relationship Analysis
Grimm is the first person that meets Yuu in Twisted Wonderland. It's far from a great meeting. Seeing as Grimm threatens to burn Yuu alive, chases them around for who knows how long (since the entrance ceremony should have at least taken an hour according to other vignettes), and still continued to insult them.
Yuu was literally saved from being burned alive by Crowley.
And later in the night, when Grimm seeks refuge in Ramshackle Dorm, he continues to insult Yuu for their lack of magic powers. Overall, Grimm kinda acts like a really bratty kid for his first appearances.
The way Yuu reacts to all this is very important, because it's what makes their relationship what it is. Yuu, from the limited dialogue that we could get from them, was shown to feel sympathy for Grimm from the beginning once they learned how much he wanted to get into NRC. Even to the point that they managed to convince Crowley to let Grimm stay, even though that met they would have to be Grimm's caretaker.
Or a beast tamer as Crowley likes to call it. And in a very ironic sort of way, Yuu is a beast tamer simply because they were willing to accept and take Grimm in - And here's why:
The very moment that Crowley accepted Yuu's proposal and let Grimm stay, the two were connected. Sure, it may have been because Yuu had to watch Grimm according to Crowley's orders, but they were connected nonetheless.
Add in the fact that the rest of the student body wasn't exactly accepting of either of them, and Crowley certainly isn't reliable, they became the sole people they could rely on. Each of their situations being flipped in more ways than one. Since Grimm came to NRC, and Yuu argued in his defense, he finally had someone.
Because up until that point he had been all alone. Then Yuu argued in his defense, even though Grimm had given him a tough time, and he finally had someone. He finally got into the place that he wanted to be. He finally had a chance to achieve the dream he's always wanted. For Gimm, Yuu would be a new hope to try at his dreams once again. Because he gained everything in one night.
Yuu, was kidnapped from their home, and dropped into some random world by a talking mirror. Nearly get burned alive. Get stuck in Ramshackle, a building that can't be up to code, and they don't even have the guarantee that Crowley will provide for them. To make matters worse, most of the people that now surround them look down on them because they don't have magic.
And while Grimm did give Yuu a hard time, Grimm also gave Yuu a stable point to cling onto. They couldn't rely on Crowley, he was flimsy. The ghosts at Ramshackle are more likely to play pranks on them. And while Yuu did eventually make friends with the other students, at the beginning all they really had and could rely on was Grimm. Because they lost everything all in once night.
Both are each other stable points that they can rely on. Everything can be taken away from Grimm if Yuu isn't there. To Yuu, he's an equal, and that isn't guaranteed amongst the rest of his peers. For Yuu, Grimm was the one person they could rely to stand by them and be their for them.
The two need each other to get through what is NRC, because they don't really have anyone else. Even when the two gain friends latter on, the only ones they can really rely on is each other.
It's the entire reason why Yuu will go along with Grimm's Henchmen-shtick. And will even play along with Grimm ordering them around from time to time. Because that's Grimm's way of expressing what their relationship means to him. Because Yuu is his henchmen, he's the only one that gets to cause them a hard time and they're the only one he'll actually listen too. (Ace, on home screen for ceremonial robes says that Grimm acts up the very moment Yuu leaves a room)
Intern, Yuu tells Grimm everything. From meeting Malleus outside, to the strange dreams (even if they don't say what the dreams themselves are about) to mickey in the mirror. Yuu tells this to other people to, but Grimm is the first to know. The first one they rely on.
It's part of the reason - spoilers for chapter six - that Yuu is so upset that Grimm is taken from them. Because even though Grimm attacked them, they could tell Grimm wasn't himself and that there was something wrong, Grimm is their grounding point in all the chaos that is Twisted Wonderland. Their person.
It's why they're so desperate to get him back. Because Yuu wasn't thinking about saving the dorm leaders (plus Jamil, and minus Malleus and Kalim), they were thinking about saving Grimm. It was their first priority to check on once Vil managed to save Grimm.
They'd do anything for each other, because they know, that no matter what, they can and will be their for each other. Because they were for each other from the very beginning. The moment Yuu decided to argue with Crowley in Grimm's defense, their relationship was sealed.
It's part of the entire reason that - spoilers for chapter seven - even though Grimm realizes he'll probably be alone once Yuu leaves, he's still willing to help them find a way home. Because that's what Yuu really needs, and so far there is no evidence to suggest that Grimm plans on keeping that from them.
Because they are each other's grounding points. So they are willing to do whatever for each other.

Yuu is a Rabbit-Heartslabyul
Riddle
two of his card soldiers turned you into a Rabbit and Riddle is the one stuck with looking after you
I mean he could have forced Ace and Deuce to do it but he doesn´t trust either of them enough to keep you alive and well so Riddle decided to look after you himself
and it was an okay choice on his part, you are still a menace but you don´t break any rules and even have a calming effect on him now so he can´t really complain
they also help him in catching some of the rule breakers from his Dorm, how can a Rabbit do that? nobody knows but they just can do it
he also doesn´t want to admit it but he also uses them as a distraction when he runs into Floyd
at least he promised them a reward when they are back to normal if they can keep him away from him
Trey
Ace and Deuce just dumped a Rabbit in the kitchen who Trey later would learn is actually Yuu
he doesn´t know what they were thinking dropping them in the Kitchen but it wasn´t much because he left them alone for a moment and now he´s stuck with a Rabbit Yuu that´s armed with a kitchen knife
they are as deadly as they are adorable, which is a lot actually
even worse he had to safe Cater from getting stabbed because if it concerns his Magicam his survival instincts sometimes fly out of the window
at least he managed to de-knife them by offering them some vegetables
they even went so far as to cuddle up to him, nothing new but still a surprise
and even if it´s a kinda nice time with Yuu he will get some revenge on Ace and Deuce for leaving them here
Cater
he got chased by a Rabbit with a knife for no reason at all
I mean he kept putting them in ridiculous outfits for his Magicam account and kept waking them up but otherwise he was innocent!
he had to run quiet the distance until they gave up and hopped away
he was actually thinking about the best plan to escape from Heartslabyul without bunny Yuu noticing him but he got lucky and they found somebody else to torment
two somebodies actually seems like they found Acey and Deucey and now they are the ones getting chased around by a crazy Rabbit
all he has to do now is hide and find a nice treat for Yuu so they´ll forgive him
maybe if he´s really lucky he can get some good pictures of them munching on some vegetables or them trying to kill somebody
but both are good alternatives for his Magicam account
Ace
does he regret turning Yuu into a Rabbit? no and if they had better control over Grim this wouldn´t have happened but it happened and now he´s stuck with a Rabbit that keeps trying to bite him
and does their best to get him into trouble, he doesn´t know how they do it but they always find the worst moments to lead Riddle to were he is
he got into so much trouble just because one fluff ball was pissed at him
if he wasn´t friends with them he would have just thrown them into the Heartslabyul maze and left them to their own devices
but do have some uses to him, the best is that just as much the get him into trouble they are also pretty good at getting him out of trouble
most notably the one time in Basketball practice were he hit Floyd and was sure he´s dead but Floyd got side tracked by the Evil Rabbit he´s forced to care for
he doesn´t know how they did it but not only did Yuu survive but they also out ran him, pretty impressive for somebody with such short paws and spent most of their time trailing after him at a snails pace
Deuce
he and Ace are responsible for Yuu being turned into a Rabbit and he´ll gladly look after them… and he knows that they are pissed of and will try to kill Ace as soon as they see him so it would be best for him to look after them
it goes as well as looking after a pissed Yuu can be, not good but nobody died or they got their paws on a knife so they aren´t a big threat
they did try to get one though but not like they could do much without hands all they managed to do was drag it around
but he got them to behave by the promise of asking Trey to make them some sweets if they are nice
it worked and now all they do is hop around and occasionally torment his roommates or other Heartslabyul students
better than them trying to gnaw their limbs of

Survivor of Ramshackle - Part 3
Part three is here!
Warnings: corpses, burial, mild panic attack for Grim, angst.
PART 2 PART 4
---
Grim was attending another unbirthday party with Ace and Deuce. He did not like any of these snobby rules. Yet here he was. The very morning after Yuu left, no less. The one upside was that he was chowing down on some tarts that Trey baked. They tasted amazing. The strawberries felt like they were dancing on his tongue.
*Drop*
A sudden wave of dread washed over Grim. Causing him to freeze. His whole body was paralyzed. And his mind kept telling him that something was wrong. It was a terrible, horrible feeling of wrongwrongwrongWRONGWRONG-
"Oi! Grim!"
"Hnngh!?"
He was back at the unbirthday party. Only this time, Ace and Deuce were looking at him.
"What's the matter with you? It's not like you to drop food."
Grim looked down and saw the rest of his slice of tart abandoned on the grass.
"Oh no! My tart!"
"NO GRIM! What have we told you about eating stuff of the- and he's already munching on it."
"We should know better by now, Ace."
He looked at Grim eating his tart.
"Why did you even drop it in the first place? I thought you were like, super protective of food."
Grim stopped eating and looked up at him.
"I dunno. I just had this bad feeling wash over me, and I just couldn't move."
"What do you mean by "bad feeling"."
"I told you I don't know. But I just got a thought that something bad had happened. Something REALLY bad."
"I'm sure you're just remembering an assignment you forgot about, and now you know that Trien's going to have your hide."
"Am not!"
The day would go on normal from there. But Grim would still have questions as to what that feeling was.
-
Yuu was bumping into things as they floated. Learning how to use this new form was tricky. Having magic now (or at least something akin to it) would be a big thing to adjust to. For now, they stayed on the ground. Thier body feeling lighter than ever.
'I wonder if I can run', they thought.
They picked up the pace a little bit. When they thought they could handle more, they went a bit faster. This continued until they had broken into a full-blown sprint.
'That's weird. I've never been able to run this fast before.'
Yuu began to sprint faster and faster until even the wind couldn't catch up to them.
'Oh my gosh! I feel alive!'
Taking it to the next level, they jumped up. They flew half a dozen feet into the air. This made them panic.
"Wooaoah!!"
'I've never jumped this high before!'
They thought they would collide with the ground but were surprised when they didn't feel anything. When they opened their eyes, they were still floating in the air. They were confused, but when they imagined themselves floating safely to the ground, it actually happened.
'Neat,' Yuu thought as they stepped forward experimentally.
Yuu looked back at the phantom behind them.
It was burying bodies. The middle head using it's snout as a shovel while the left head picked up the corpses and put them in the holes. The third head was also helping with bodies, but it was not as good at it as the left head.
Yuu looked at the phantom doing its job. Before they could take revenge, they needed to have this creature on their side. They couldn't go anywhere without it.
So they walked up to it and started helping them bury bodies.
As they were doing this, they started to wonder, why was the phantom doing this? These things are dangerous, evil beings. So why wasn't this thing destroying everything?
They said that phantoms came from when a Mage was using too much magic on top of feeling intense negative emotion. Said negative emotions manifested as that phantom. This phantom formed when Yuu was experiencing extreme grief at the loss of their race.
That and there was nothing left here for them to destroy.
So Yuu just never said a word to it and helped them bury the dead.
-
Yuu helped their phantom with the burials all day. When the sun went down, that was when they stopped to rest. After all, you can't stay up past sundown when there is no electricity for light.
When they began falling asleep, they noticed that the extra long sleeves they wore would wind around their waist and tighten like a straight jacket. This felt like a hug, so they didn't mind. And it helped them sleep better.
Waking the next morning, when the sun rose, they set out with their phantom to continue the burials.
Body after body
Person after Person
Yuu felt numb whilst doing all this. But they still did it. Burying people they have known for years. People they didn't know. People who had barely begun life.
This went on for some time. They stopped counting the days. It must have been almost a week by now.
Yuu had thought about naming the phantom. They couldn't just keep calling them by 'their phantom'.
"Hey you!"
The phantom turned its heads towards them with the middle one snarling.
"Can I give you a name?"
That made the creature go quiet and look at them with interest. Yuu searched through the mental list of names they had made.
"How about Ragnarok?"
That made the creature growl at them displeased. They thought of another one.
"Ghidorah?"
Once again, the creature growled displeased. Yuu was actually kind of relieved at this. Because they weren't exactly fond of that name either.
"Doom?"
The phantom made a crackling-chittering noise at this. Yuu thought they made it mad, so they closed their eyes, waiting for pain to come. Instead, they felt something wet and squishy brush over them. Yuu opened their eyes and saw that they were being licked by the middle head. They seemed pleased with that name. But Yuu was not quite finished yet. They still needed to give the three of them separate names.
"Okay, so that will be the name for all of you, but what about each of you?"
Doom's heads looked at each other.
They went through the list again. If Doom did not like Ghidorah, then they probably won't like Ichi, Ni, and Kevin either. They still offered it just in case. The two Phantom heads did not like those names for them. However, the third head on the right started licking them.
"You like the name Kevin?"
It chittered in response.
"So that settles your name. But what about you two?" Yuu thought over possible names. "Ying and Yang sound good." Doom's heads let out a satisfied huff.
"Cool! So that settles things."
They would need some more bonding before they could get Doom fully on their side. But they were willing to wait.
---
Sorry for the wait. It took me a while to figure out the plot for this part. I apologize for any mistakes. Thanks for reading.

My thoughts on chapter 136
As a friend of mine said, I believe that this was a preparatory chapter, which foresees something extremely important.
I really liked it, honestly.
The symbolism of this chapter is great and I could talk a lot about it.
But I think it is extremely important that Sika Madu was able to realize that "those people" who he actually looked at as bugs, have surpassed him.
Tumblr media
His arrogance was thus crushed and, I can say, he actually evolved.
Because Sika has this conversation with Shinoa where he asks her why she wants so much power. She replies that for "love", a line that Sika comments on as something related to the selfish nature of humans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then she tells him something so right:
•"And you're any different?"
And the truth is, no, Sika is no different from humans. He is as imperfect as they are, and he has loved as authentically as they have.
It all started from Sika's love for his angels, for Mikaela. Including from his frustration of not receiving any attention from his "father" (the other God) and the continuous expectation of being at least sanctioned by that God. So far went his desire to have, in fact, the affection of "his father".
And all of this illustrates so well the humanity of Sika Madu and how all humans are, in fact, a reflection of him.
Basically, they are his children, towards whom he never wanted to assume the role of god, protector or father.
But, I think Sika understood more now and saw that he was wrong in his arrogance, ignoring his own creation.
I felt bad for him though. His scenes really touched me, especially his talk with Yuu.
How Sika asked him to revive Mikaela, when it was actually Yuu, the one he was talking to, that Mikaela, his son he had struggled for eons to bring back.
I believe that this conversation was Sika's greatest display of love for his son and that it was a tender moment.
I am kind of sad that Sika could not find out that Yuu is actually his son, but maybe there will be a way for him to find out in the end?
I do not think Sika is truly gone as a soul.
He disintegrated, being absorbed by Shinoa, but his punishment is to never die, to never forget anything. That is why I believe his soul is still alive somewhere, and at the right time, he will be able to have that conversation with his son, knowing who he is talking to.
I also think that the scene where, on the one hand, Shinoa was absorbing his powers, just so that Sika would not ever hurt anyone with it again (which Sika Madu did a lot of, especially to Shinoa, whose life he ruined from conception ), and on the other, Yuu, his son for whom Sika did everything, receives his father's legacy — both frames unfolding simultaneously, shows precisely the humanity of Sika Madu.
The fact that he has many shades, just like a human being.
On the one hand, Sika destroyed the existence of so many souls and committed terrible atrocities.
On the other hand, he loved sincerely and did so much only for his loved ones.
That is why he too is a gray character with his good and bad sides and I think the author showed that so well.
Basically, OnS really does not have villains, just human characters, whose perspectives are valid in their own way.
I am so excited for the next chapter!
As for the others characters, I think everything unfolded logically and consistently.
The fact that the upcoming attack on Krul by Ferid was stopped for the moment is natural.
Ferid is an extraordinary strategist and he never attacks without reason or at the wrong time.
As seen here, Ferid stopped, listening to the noise caused by Urd's sword. He sensed a strong threat and stopped to calculate what level of power would be required to neutralize such an attack?
Tumblr media
Ferid is not necessarily interested in directly attacking Krul now, in scaring her with certain gestures.
He knows she feels him and that she is already freaking out on her own.
Tumblr media
At the end of last chapter, Krul does not even recognize Ferid. Why?
Because vampires feel each other, what power they carry. And Ferid was always a miserable bug for Krul's power.
But the twist of the situation is that the one whom she always humiliated, threatened, beat, whom she always looked down on, has a much greater power than hers now.
So big that she wonders if she would have any chance of beating him then.
This little scene perfectly illustrates something important about Ferid's character. His power to transcend the limits of the situations in which he finds himself. His true intelligence and ability to think through the rules of any game.
Truly, this moment shows Ferid's capabilities as a leader, strategist and thinker.
And I think that is something very important within his character, especially because in his past, as a prince in his childhood, Ferid has always been repressed and forced to hide his true abilities, to live as a servant in the shadows of others. I wrote more about it in this analysis about him.
Other than that, I really enjoyed this chapter. Shinya's return, the interaction between him and Kureto. I should do a separate analysis on Yuu and Shinoa as well.
But I end with this here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, with mentioning again my gratitude to the author for creating this fascinating story!
How much the theme of humanity can be deepened even in this chapter! Certainly more can be discussed.
Any kind feedback is welcome and I wish whoever finds this post a good day!

Siblings AU
Yuki's POV
I should say that yes, Yuki has mentioned Yuu a lot to the brothers, and while their friends have tried to locate Yuu, they have not found a trace
This made Yuki very worried about their younger sibling.
Yuki doesn’t mention Yuno at all, or at least not as often as Yuu. They think Yuno abandoned them once they stopped sending letters for over 2 months.
Anyways, Yuki is just exploring the underground of Diavalo's castle one night for a mandatory sleepover
And then they find this strange painting that is just a simple grasslands.
Naturally, they reach out and-
Yuki's now in the painting. Well, fuck.
They start walking towards a giant rock they spotted in the distance, because what else were they going to do?
They might have to wait until one of their friends finds them, because they sure as hell can’t do anything.
As they walk, Yuki turns their head and
Is
IS THAT YUU?! (And are they holding a cat-?)
Yuki runs towards Yuu screaming their name, and they embrace in a long awaited hug
Yuki: I THOUGHT I LOST YOU! DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS WHEN I GOT TRANSPORTED TO ANOTHER WORLD WITHOUT YOU?!
Yuu: How do you think I felt?! I literally woke up in a coffin!
Yuki: WHAT?!
Yuki is absolutely shocked that Yuu was also transported.
Suddenly, a tall shadow looms over them, and when Yuki looks up, it’s…Yuno?!
Their sibling was alive!
Yuki felt really mad, at first. Yuno had disappeared when Yuu was very young and now they just show up again?! Why did they disappear all those years ago?!
When Yuki finds out that Yuno died of the Red Plague, they feel conflicted. Ok one hand, yeah, dying is a sure reason as to why Yuno stopped sending letters
On the other hand, wow, they should’ve gotten some sort of letter saying that, right? Maybe it got lost at sea…
After listening to what was going on back in their home world, Yuki suddenly felt a sense of nostalgia. They do want to go back to their hometown, but…they also love living in the Devildom.
Is absolutely shook at the mention of Yuno fighting the devil. Like. Damn, Yuno actually fought the Arcana version of the devil. Pretty metal
Yuki wants to throttle Crowley after they hear Yuu’s story. He SERIOUSLY left Yuu to fend for themselves in a school of magic? Diavolo gave them so much more when Yuki went to RAD!
Yuki and Yuno scream when they see Yuu holding Grim. (“Is that a FLAMING CAT??” “I am NOT a cat! I am the Great Grim-!” “IT TALKS?!?”)
Yuki is really curious to see what Yuno and Yuu’s friends are like, since both talk about their friends/found family as sincerely as they do when talking about theirs from the Devildom.

For only true love will wake the Prince
Lilia: Are you sure want to go through with this? There are much easier ways of getting Yuu to kiss you.
Malleus: I’m sure about this. Yuu will get worried about my well-being and kiss me like those princesses long ago!
Malleus: Now then, Spinning wheel of fate, keep pulling the thread of disaster. As King of the Abyss, I shall bestow this upon you. Fae of Maleficence.
*Malleus casts his unique magic on himself and falls asleep on his bed*
*Sebek suddenly walks into the room*
Sebek: WAKA SAMA!!! HE’S DYING! HE NEEDS CPR!
Lilia: N-No wait!
*Sebek runs to Malleus and gives him CPR*
*Malleus’s eyes flutter open*
Malleus: Yuu?
Sebek: WAKA SAMA!! YOU’RE ALIVE!
Malleus:
👁️👁️
👄
HWHAT?
Lilia: At least you know Sebek will always value your life.

Lilia Dream
A bunch of my thoughts and a little theory. You know, I was haunted by the fact that Idia or Sebek in their "happy dreams" had the most ordinary life, the one that suited and pleased them. (And she also gave a lot of reasons for fans of Malleyuu and some kind of "divorce" from which I still laugh. Yuu doesn't intersect so closely with these characters, what kind of divorce are you talking about. They shouldn't be in the dreams of these two guys???)
and so…..
WHY THE HELL DOES LILIA HAVE SUCH A DREAM?! This is definitely a period of wars. because we see soldiers. We see Lilia in his full general's outfit. His attitude and manner of speech. His relation to others.
Malleus does not directly control sleep, he only WATCHES them. Lillia subconscious or self-consciousness created such a dream.
And I had a few thoughts on this.
Someone mentioned that this may be a dream related to the day in which Lilia finds Silver in the cradle
For me, this is not a very suitable theory because it does not fit with the fact that Vanruge should have already been near Malleus. As a mentor or bodyguard, or an informal "guardian". So the war should have been over by now.
Because from a logical point of view, if there is an experienced and strongest fairy military general, then you will send him to the front to end the war or conflict faster than leaving him to sit with a baby.
It may be a dream in which the war finally ended or it did not exist at all. And they can tell us that an egg with a Malleus inside appeared. (Yes, for those who do not know, the Dragonia was most likely born from an egg) I will explain further why this particular detail.
This is a more appropriate development in my opinion.
Think about it, my dear, Lilia spent a lot of time in the war or conflicts between humans and faeries. We don't know how many of his relatives or friends he lost. Also how much these events affected his life in general.
His happy dream may be that all that nightmare, horror and bloodshed is simple….didn't exist. Maybe it was a brief skirmish between different people and faeries that they need to control.
Or maybe it was the last day of the war when all this horror ended. The happiest thing that can happen is to no longer experience the events that haunted Vanruzh for who knows how long.
And from the palace from the royal family came the news of the appearance of the egg. The heir of the Draconia that has not yet been born/hatched.
Because - a new life, a peaceful life and a new beginning.
A harbinger that after dark times full of conflicts, losses, battles, the time of peace and tranquility is finally coming. Which everyone craves so passionately.
Perhaps this is another reason for the "idolization" of Malleus. His birth was associated with the onset of that period that everyone was so anxiously waiting for, which means his reign will be peaceful, bright and joyful.
Lilia himself has repeatedly mentioned that he wants a bright future for the Thorn Valley.
What if in his dream Malleus' parents were still alive and Malefecia did not need to fulfill the duties of the monarch until Malleus was ready to ascend the throne? That would also be a happy note in this dream of Vanrouge. Malleus with his family/parents, whom Lilia probably knew or even grew up side by side.
Their efforts and views would settle the conflict more quickly than it was in reality. And there would have been much fewer victims than there actually were.
If we are really shown the joyful faces of the spouses of Draconia who are eager to see their child as soon as possible, we can safely go for blue duct tape to glue our broken hearts.
+to the shock of Malleus It would be a good detail for the plot!!
After all, Tsunotaro has never seen them in person. And Lilia could remember them at least a little or pieces of certain events. Perhaps we could be shown hints of Silver's family (maybe she was the royal family that waged wars with the fae)
And this would be a good parralel. Silver's loving family that is fascinated by their little newborn prince. And the elegant restrained Malleus family, which envelops the little "dragon heir" with care and transfer of experience for the throne. Maybe the conclusion of peace will also be stipulated..
Having little information, I can only assume that we can be told about Lilia dream in a completely different way, so I can only build theories about what might happen next.

Azul - Family Discourse
Tumblr media
“I know this is a difficult time for us all, but you must remember one thing: mommy and daddy loves you very much, and that will never change.”
Azul rolled his eyes towards the ceiling. “Must you sound so...dramatic?’
Yuu shot him a brief glare. “Do you want our child to question our affection?”
“It’s not our child.”
“I’m sorry. Does child support mean nothing to you?”
Azul rolled his eyes even harder and added a sigh for emphasis. He adjusted the sheet protecting the tank from direct sunlight. He would have preferred no light—or at the very least, very dim light—but the large dust bunny protecting the wardrobe on the other side of the room was already disturbingly focused on him. Yuu’s insistence on keeping the oversized, magical vermin alive was just as disturbing. Azul had never even heard of a dust bunny colony the size of the one living in the Ramshackle Dorm.
Yuu, completely oblivious to Azul actively avoiding eye contact with the dust bunnies, cooed in front of the tank. The tiny, neon pink cuddler octopus energetically swam circles in front of her. Yuu clapped as if the small creature had achieved some amazing feat. “Look at you swim! You’re so happy here. Much happier than in that dark, scary cave.”
Azul aborted a snort by nudging his glasses higher up his nose. “I’m sure it was completely content in that cavern. Cuddler octopi are more comfortable when they have a place to hide, which is why I insisted on having ornaments large enough for it to comfortably hide away in.”
Yuu lightly tapped the glass. The pink cuddler twirled closer. “Your father is so thoughtful, isn’t he, Pinku?”
Azul couldn’t hide his snort this time. “Pinku? Is that really the name you insist on giving it? And I thought your insistence of maintaining the name Space Mostro Lounge for our second location was simply a fluke.”
“Your father is jealous of my naming skills,” Yuu said. She never once turned away from the tank. “This is why mommy and daddy have to live apart. Octavinelle might seem like a fantastic place to live, but one day you will understand living with mommy is much better for your emotional development.”
A light chuckle came from the direction of the doorway. Jade ducked back around the doorframe when Azul’s head snapped in his direction. Floyd loudly complained from the hallway, reminding Azul of his actual reasons for being in Ramshackle Dorm. “Now that we have finished with the tank, I need to measure the space in the attic to—.”
Yuu’s squeal cut off Azul. “Look at her! She wants to give me a hug!”
Yuu sprang to her full height. Before Azul could stop her, she stuck her entire forearm into the tank. Pinku—a name Azul would forever insist was incredibly plain—didn't hesitate latching onto Yuu’s pinky. Yuu’s girlish giggles didn’t match her usual deadpan demeanor. “She’s so adorable!”
“Yes.” A light cough from the doorway made Azul shoot Jade a pointed glare. Floyd wasn’t so subtle, leaning on the doorframe in full view with a bored expression. “Sticking your entire forearm into the tank is not a great idea. It could potentially throw off the pH level of the water.” Another pointed cough made Azul second guess bringing the twins with him. “She also shouldn’t develop the habit of clinging to you.”
“Why not?” With her arm still in the water, Yuu blinked at Azul with unmistakable inquisitiveness. “You didn’t say anything about it when we were swimming in the Coral Sea.”
Azul sputtered a bit. There wasn’t anything really wrong with the behavior. It was why most children in the Coral Sea wanted cuddlers before the novelty of them wore off. Still, Azul felt the need to double down on his statement. “Do you want her to develop an unhealthy sense of separation anxiety? If you allow Pinku to cling to you constantly then there is a high probability she will become extremely stressed when she’s left alone.”
“That settles it then. We will have another child.”
Azul’s sputter was thankfully covered by Floyd’s sudden cackling. “You wanna go for another swim, Shrimpy? I know all the best grottos to find more squishies!”
“You will need to install a much bigger tank,” Jade added. He looked absolutely overjoyed by the glare Azul shot him. “Should we hold a baby shower in advance? I’ve read in a few magazines those are highly popular amongst those living on land.”
“It’s weird you would even suggest that.” Jade simply chuckled. Yuu slowly withdrew her arm from the tank. Pinku didn’t release her until she wiggled her pinky right beneath the surface of the water. Azul felt a bit of pride when the cuddler ducked into the hollowed driftwood tunnel he had specifically ordered. “But I agree with your first statement. We need a bigger tank for our growing family.”
“We need to assess the attic,” Azul interjected with extra emphasis. “If we are to meet our scheduled launch date, then we will need to begin—.”
“We should find a yellow squishy!”
“I think a subtle green will fit nicely with Pinku’s bright shade.”
“I will love my children no matter what color they are.”
Azul huffed and made no attempt to hide his displeasure at being ignored. They continued to ignore him, Yuu and Floyd going so far as to leave the room, happily discussing their next trip to the Coral Sea. Jade lightly chuckled. “It would seem as if the prefect’s priorities have significantly changed since becoming a parent. It reminds me of another person who insisted on raising a plethora of cuddlers in our youth.”
Azul didn’t bother rising to Jade’s bait, and it didn’t take long for the Leech brother to leave him with another chuckle. Azul sighed and glanced down into the tank. Pinku had emerged from the driftwood and now floated around the tank without a care for larger predators.
Azul crouched to be at face level with the inside of the tank. Pinku twirled closer to the glass, like she could see him on the other side. A small smile twitched across his lips. “You have no reason to fear anymore. Predators like eels and larger fish can’t get you here.”
An exaggerated cough made Azul twist too quickly on the balls of his feet, resulting in him falling over. Grim watched from the door with half-lidded eyes. A small entourage of dust bunnies half his height stared into the room with him. “Are you going to be weird and talk to all the animals too? Because I'll tell you right now, Sir Eviscerator over there only takes baby talk from Yuu.”
Azul glanced at the giant dust bunny. The dust bunny—Sir Eviscerator—still stared at him judgmentally. Azul cleared his throat and climbed to his feet. He dusted off the back of his pants. “Don’t be ridiculous. I was merely assessing if she was comfortable in her new habitat. Now, excuse me while I go intersect Floyd before he makes his escape with the prefect.”
Grim snorted with obvious disbelief. Azul completely ignored him and left the room with his chin held high. The cuddler was simply a pet he had helped the prefect obtain to keep her cooperation.
Checking on Pinku before returning to Octavinelle Dorm was simply to ensure the cuddler hadn’t injured herself on anything in the tank. And perhaps to measure the empty corner for a sunken ship ornament he happened to see while checking the Mostro Lounge’s official Magicam. That big tank, he thought to himself, did have the potential to give her an extreme sense of loneliness.
It would behoove him, if he was to humor the prefect’s farce of co-parenting, to think of finding a companion for Pinku.

Expectations When Expecting (Prologue)
Opening Part
Chapter 1:
Yuu stirred from a heavy slumber as she opened her eyes, which felt heavy with makeup.
"Ugh... Did I forget to take my makeup off?" She groaned, still half-asleep. It was still dark out, at least, that's what it appeared to be. She attempted to sit back up when her forehead came into contact with a thick wooden wall. She hissed in pained annoyance, rubbing at the sore spot on her forehead.
"What the hell?! Where am I?" She grumbled as she pressed against the wall. It was heavy. "Great. First, I found out that I'm pregnant, and now I'm stuck in the devil knows where."
She began to debate kicking the wall in front of her when a nasal whisper and scuffling sounds directly on the other side of the wall.
"I better hurry up and find that uniform before someone spots me..." The voice was male and somewhat cocky.
She cringes as she hears grunting and the scraping of wood against wood, shuddering.
"Urgggh... This lid weighs a ton!" The voice snarls in annoyance before the person talking huffs.
"Try this on for size!"
On the bright side, Yuu was now able to see. The downside? She was in a wooden container that was currently on fire. The pregnant girl yelped in surprise, punching what she'd hoped was the lid.
It thankfully fell off its hinges, clattering to the floor, and the person who had set her on fire had the absolute audacity to give a celebratory cry. She looked around, eyes burning with rage, unable to find the cause of her annoyance. She'd question the floating coffins later, she had to find the idiot that set her on fire.
"What?! You ain't supposed to be awake!" Came the voice, surprise heavy in its tone and she looked down, genuinely confused.
"What the- A talking...weasel?" She tilted her head, confused. "That's impossible."
"How... How DARE YOU! I am no WEASEL! I'm Grim, sorcerer extraordinaire!" The creature, now identified as Grim gave an indignant huff, bristling at her.
"Okay, now you're just being ridiculous. Sorcerers are myths." She crossed her arms, looking down at him.
Grim grumbled a bit before simply turning up his nose at her. "Tch. Whatever." He looked up at her, doing his best to meet her eyes. "You...human! Just gimme your uniform, and be quick about it!"
"What? No! There are MY clothes! You have fur, you're fine!" She argued, tugging the cloth tighter around her.
"You better give me your uniform! 'Cause if you don't...you're gonna regret it!" The creature gave a low, menacing growl.
"Getting roasted alive by a weasel? What will I dream of next?" She quipped, giving the weasel a teasing smirk. Clearly, a very stupid move on her part, as it led to her having to dodge several sloppily aimed fireballs.
"Oh FUUUUUUUUU-" She yelped, sprinting out the doorway of the room. She made a mad dash, barely rounding the corner enough to avoid the next fireball.
"Oh, damn!" She cried as she rushed through several rooms before she made it to a room filled with books, some even floating off of the bookshelves. "Woah... pretty-" She shook her head, snapping out of it. "FOCUS! I gotta hide!" She huffed, making her way over to a random pile of books.
"If this is a dream, I better wake up soon." She inhaled dramatically. "Whoo! Man, am I outta shape." She puffed out a few breaths before she heard the door to the library slam open.
"Foolish human! Did you really think you could slip away from ME?" The cat-weasel cackled, prowling up to her hiding spot.
"Now, unless you wanna get burned to a crisp, take off that-" Yuu flinched when she heard the doors slam open once more and the crack of a whip pierce the air.
"Me-YEOW! That hurt! What gives?" Grim yowled, hissing at the feathery masked figure that entered the library. The masked man scowled some, seeing the singed pages of a still smoking book.
"Consider it tough love." He growled before he turned his body to face her. His eyes were unsettling, glowing golden as he gave her a practiced smile.
"Ah, I've found you at last. Splendid. I trust you're one of this year's new students?" His gray lips turned up in a sort of satisfied smile as he offered her a hand. "My, were you ever eager to make your debut." He chirped teasingly.
"Hold on, students?!" The young woman yelped. Please tell me that I wasn't kidnapped by a school! I already served my time!
The mysterious man, much to her dismay, completely missed her look of confusion as he picked up the little monster from earlier. "And did you truly bring a poorly trained familiar with you? That is a clear violation of the school's rules." He chided her.
Grim struggled in the grasp of the man, snarling. "As if I'd serve some lowly human!" He spat. "Now lemme go!" She watched the cat struggle, taking back her feeling of pity.
"Yes, yes. Rebellious familiars always say that. Do be quiet for a bit, won't you?" He stated with a dismissive wave of his hand.
"No, he's right. He's not my..." She trailed off as she noticed a silver shimmer cross over Grim's mouth and the monster gave an "Mmmrph!" In surprise.
"Dear me. Of all the students I've dealt with, you're the first with enough temerity to open their own gate and step out of it." Mystery man spoke with a slightly disappointed tone. "Does the very notion of patience elude you?"
Yuu's jaw dropped in shock at the sheer audacity of this man to claim that she was the one in the wrong here. "Listen here, you-"
"No matter. Your orientation has already begun. Let us return to the Mirror Chamber." The man turned on his heel, leading her to cry out as she ran to him.
"Wait! What the hell do you mean by 'Student?!'" She had grabbed him by the sleeve.
His eyes widened for a split second before he tilted his head curiously. "You awakened in a room full of gates, did you not?"
She thought back to the strange room. "You mean the coffins?"
"Coffins?!" Apparently, the question was so shocking, as the man reached up to his face to prevent the crow's mask from slipping off of his face. He cleared his throat. "Ahem! Yes, the coffins. All of the students here at the campus arrived by passing through such gates."
She watched as the bird-like man crouched down to make eye contact. He brought his golden taloned hands up to her face, poking playfully. "Although typically the students have enough restraint to wait until I open them before waking up." She watched him smile as he treated her like a child.
"Yeah, whatever." She swatted his hands away. "So those coffins are like...gateways?"
The man seemed to puff up proudly, resembling more of a rooster than a crow. "Precisely! I knew you'd get it! The design is intended to symbolize a parting with your former world, and a rebirth into a new one."
"Rebirth, huh?" She asked aloud, a sudden sadness almost dragging her down. She snapped out of it rather quickly, as she felt a tug at her clothing.
"Now is not the time for such pointless prattle. You've a student orientation to attend! Go on, now. Make haste." The man walked ahead of her, taking the lead.
"Okay, okay. First, just tell me one thing: Where am I?"
The man paused again. "Hm? Have you not fully regained consciousness? The timespace teleportation must have addled your memories..." He muttered to himself.
"Timespace?!" She yelped.
"Well, these things happen, I suppose. I shall explain it to you while we walk. Truly, my magnanimity is boundless." The man crowed, literally patting himself on the back as he led her outside to a beautiful courtyard. She felt her mouth water at the sight of the grand apple tree.
"This is Night Raven College. It is an institution for students the world over who demonstrate a rare aptitude for magic." The man announced, literally dragging her out of her thoughts.
"Huh?!" Yuu's eyes widened. Magic?!
"It is the most prestigious academy of its sort in all of Twisted Wonderland. And I am Dire Crowley. Having been entrusted with its care by the chairman, I serve as headmage." The man, now identified as Dire Crowley stated.
"What do you mean by magic?!" She worried that all of this stress may affect her baby. If I lose this child because of this stupid man, I will go feral. She thought to herself.
"Only those who the Dark Mirror perceives as having a talent for magic are admitted to the college. Those who are selected are summoned to the campus through those 'gates,' which can appear anywhere." Crowley explained.
"A black carriage bearing one such gate should have come to meet you." He said, watching as her eyes widened. A vivid memory flashed into her mind.
The quiet street, the horses barreling toward her. The intense fear that she and her child would die.
"I remember the carriage... No. There must be some mistake!" She cried.
"Nonsense, my dear! That black carriage serves to receive a student chosen by the Dark Mirror.
It too bears a gate that connects to this campus. And as you know, sending a carriage to meet someone on a special day is a time-honored tradition." She watched the headmage dismiss her fear so easily and her eyes narrowed.
"So this carriage dragged me here against my will?" She growled, reading to touch her stomach subconsciously.
There was a muffled protest from the weasel as Crowley readjusted his grip on the monster.
"Now, let us attend your orientation." He smiled cheerfully before leading her to face a door, shrouded in thick shadows.
