LIVING THROUGH YOUR ALTER EGO | IT GIRL DIARIES
I've had a lot of girl's tell me how hard it is to be an It Girl, just because of the amount of changes you have to make in your life. Which is understandable, it's not easy to just wake up one day and decide to be a completely different person and forget who you were yesterday or your old habits.
Truth be told, I used to be one of those many girl's, I thought I could never be who I wanted to. I could never be that confident diva who achieved everything with ease... so I made a plan, a plan to begin living through my alter ego and eventually, I became her.
🩷🎀🌺💌💋👛💕👠🛍️👑
Here is your Guide for an Easy Start to Living Through Your Alter Ego.
Step 1. | Create your alter ego ( this is who you want to be. Decide what they do, how they think, what they look like and what their daily routine would be. Give them a name )
Step 2. | Create a Vision Board that resonates with your alter ego ( you can find many ideas on Pinterest or head over to my Pinterest here, for a already drawn up vision board, I've create many )
Step 3. | Wake up everyday as your present self and then, start implementing small routines throughout your day that your alter ego would do. Always start small. ( remember, it's harder to wake up and just be different person )
Step 4. | Choose atleast 1 small routine that your alter ego would do and make that a consistent daily routine for yourself ( skin care routine, hot lemon water every morning, reading, walking or doing your makeup ) It doesn't have to be something big and drastic, just something small to give you direction and discipline.
Step 5. | Gradually add in more routines as the days go by. Think of your current reality as plain white cake batter and your alter ego's life as pink food coloring, everyday you add more food coloring into your batter and in the end, you will just have pink cake batter.
Step 6. | Try this for 2 months, this will give you enough time to take things slowly.
Tip : Everytime you've successfully remained consistent with a routine from your alter ego, cross it off your vision board, because this means it is no longer a vision, it is your reality.
( use your vision board as a to do list on this journey )
I hope this helps many of you in starting to your IT GIRL persona and become the pretty divas you all are. 💋🩷🎀🌺

Small ways to get out of a slump
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Brush your hair
It will help you feel more fresh and it only takes a few minutes depending on your hair type
- Do some light makeup
Even if it’s something as simple as applying some lipgloss
- Listen to happy music
Such as pop music, I personally love the songs ‘dimple and I’m fine’ by BTS
- Do some stretching or yoga
It’s relaxing and if you feel stressed then It’ll really help
- Listen to a podcast
It’ll provide a good distraction
- Watch your favourite youtubers/show
It’ll make you feel better. I recommend a comedy show like Friday night dinner

*THE GIGGLE ENDING SPOILERS*
EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING
I’ve just read the novelisation of the Giggle and the ending has me on my knees - it goes into much more detail than the show so guess what
THE DOCTOR BOUGHT THAT HOUSE
THAT IS HIS HOUSE
Tumblr media
He chose it, he went to an estate agents and said ‘I want this pretty house’, offered them £60, then rang Kate Stewart and discovered he was getting paid by UNIT this whole time, was able to afford the house/mortgage and BOUGHT THAT HOUSE
The Nobles still have a house in London but they STAY WITH THE DOCTOR NEARLY ALL THE TIME
He chose the house with a sunroom so WILF COULD LIVE DOWNSTAIRS COMFORTABLY

Five Habits To Fix Your Problems
1. NON-NEGOTIABLE
Daily tasks or activities that are essential and must be completed each day without exception.
My non-negotiables are:
• 8-10K daily steps.
• Studying (your religious book)
• Cold Showers.
• 10 min journaling .
• No screen time an hour before bed.
• No food 2 hours before bed.
• Stretching.
2. 80/20 RULE
Investing most of your energy and time on specific tasks that create a big impact and maximize your productivity.
20% of the tasks yield 80% of the results.
80% of your productivity comes from
20% of your tasks. By identifying and prioritizing the most important tasks, you can maximize your efficiency and focus on what truly matters.
3. DOPAMINE DETOX
It's a method aimed at taking back control of your life by reducing dependency on instant gratification and increasing productivity.
Abstaining from activities that provide quick dopamine hits:
• social media
• video games
• excessive screen time.
By eliminating these distractions, you create space to focus on meaningful activities.
4. PLAN YOUR DAY THE NIGHT BEFORE
Get everything ready you need for the morning.
Things seem simpler when everything is planned and handy.
This practice allows you to be more intentional with your time and ensures that you are working towards your goals effectively.
• make a to-do list or block time for tasks
• Set out your gym and work clothes
• Prep your morning breakfast
5. CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS
Controlling your emotions can be a valuable skill that helps you address and navigate problems more effectively.
How controlling your emotions helps you: clear thinking (make rational)
Discipline
• Shadow work
• Improve problem solving
• Better communication
• And etc.
controlling your emotions does not mean suppressing or ignoring them. It's about acknowledging and understanding your emotions while choosing how to respond to them in a constructive manner.
It takes practice and self-awareness

real 'glow up' advice i wish i had
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine getting to the point in life where YOU are your own vision board; where you are that girl who has the life that you want, and you don't have to seek it out through other people. That should be the ultimate goal.
Here are subtle things that you should be doing to channel your ideal person and improve yourself for the better FROM THE INSIDE
take care of your hygiene: brush your teeth every day, wash your face with soap, wash your hair, take meaningful showers
be kind to yourself: speak nicely to yourself, treat yourself every now and then, love yourself exactly the way you came
make the effort: do your hair and wear something cute, even if you're only going to the supermarket. I bet your ideal self looks stunning wherever she goes, so make that effort if you really want to become her
move your body: dance to some music for just 5 minutes, take a walk, get off the bus a (reasonable) few stops earlier and walk the rest of the way
romanticise the hell out of your life: wear those bows, create that vision board, play that aesthetic background music even if you're just washing the dishes, wear that outfit!!!!!
admire yourself: look at yourself in the mirror and remember what you look like, take a million selfies to look back and smile at, give yourself a compliment every time you pass your reflection
get creative: if you want cute decor, make it! if you want cute clothes, find some easy DIYs!
focus on what you can control: if you cannot change the situation, let it resolve itself. don't waste your precious time obsessing over something you cannot change
get to know yourself (again): rediscover your hobbies, try new activities, learn to appreciate your solitude, get out of your shell
I really wish I was part of a community like this when I was going through a really insecure and lonely phase of my life.
Instead of deciding to wake up a 3am every day from now on, and trying to reach 20k steps every day, start small and walk your way up to greatness!

PROCESSING YOUR EMOTIONS WITHOUT SUPPRESSING THEM - TECHNIQUES
Tumblr media
this post is all about how to process emotions that we are uncomfortable with, safely and positively. Today, I’d like it if you’d try to implement at least one technique today!
REMINDERS
Remember that when you feel an emotion, it is your body communicating itself to you. Listen to your emotion, and understand.
All emotions are temporary, and will pass. But some can leave a more long term effect on us.
Having the skill of sitting through uncomfortable emotions calmly, and not let it impact our lives greatly will serve you well.
TECHNIQUES
STOP TECHNIQUE
S- Stop what you’re doing, pause all activities and shut off your brain.
T- Take a few deep breathes, continue until your focus is only on breathing deeply.
O- Observe your thoughts, your body language, any physical sensations and acknowledge them within you.
P- Proceed with any activity that may help you process this emotion. Meditation, journaling, stretching, talking to someone, etc.
ALL TECHNIQUE
A- Acknowledge, accept and alllow what you feel. Identify what emotion you feel, if you can’t, try to associate it with something. Sit in this feeling for awhile and truly accept it within you.
L- Link it to a circumstance or situation that may explain why you’re feeling this way. E.g ‘I feel so irritated lately, it may be because I’ve been eating sugary foods more’
L- Learn what this emotion may be telling you. There’s not much detail on this because only you know what your body needs/wants.
SELF EXPRESSION
Draw, write, compose music on what this feeling looks like, sounds like, maybe even their taste. This really helps go deep in your emotions, analyse it and then hopefully process it.
