laughter is one of the main themes in one piece, its not even like hidden. there are so many ways you can show it too! for instance someone on twt i think??? said the final island is called Laugh Tale bc this is a tale about laughter

luffy associates laughter with freedom, and as the viewer, you're supposed to as well. luffy wants to be the king of pirates, not because he wants to rule the seas with an iron fist, but because he wants to be freer than anyone. he wants to be able to laugh with his friends with out a worry in the world, and thats why in wano he gets so upset when he finds out about smile. kaidou took something he associated with being free, and made it into a prison. when luffy awakened his fruit, used gear 5, and turned into sun god nika, he laughed. its out of place bc the whole fight luffy is more upset than he is during most of his fights. hes lost 3 times now, he failed to keep his promise to tama, he failed to save momonusuke and kin'emons country but he laughed. he has a whole silly battle where hes laughing the whole time and using funny gags as a fighting style. wano shifts the way we view laughter in one piece, by showing that the people of wano are stuck suffering and unable to show their emotions, and then shifts it back by showing luffys laughing, even when hes at his lowest.

luffy is laughter, he is the sun, warmth, love, and liberation. its not a coincidence the brothers of the sun god ate a fruit that let them control fire.

that montage during his gear 5 transformation where we seeframes of everytime hes used his gears, showing us his growth as a fighter, as a pirate, and as a captain, while the fate of an entire country is on his back, while he fights to protect his loved ones and while we see luffy do everything hes wanted to do (his words too!!).... yeah this was a great episode lmao

rid, im not joking when i say this is everything i want in a fanfic. like ex2l always gets me, and you legit mastered it with this one. something about right person wrong time just does it for me. that opening line was so simple but so so so beautiful:

and your ability to fully write in the pov of the character that you've crafted is nutty. like on the outside, it seems like a simple thing to do, but ik from experience that it's really not. like the way you perfectly represented oc's bleakness in the beginning through the word choices, that only shifts when taehyung is being discussed, is a1 storytelling. and same with him, like even when things are falling apart, the metaphor compares oc to a star, n that's how he sees her despite the circumstances. IM EMOTIONAL!!!

we want to know if there were any moments where your designer dna moved when you played shengyang.

XZ: from the moment i stepped into the company, see the workstation, see the brush, at the moment when i see the hand-painted board…my dna is already jumping wildly.

the director said he didn’t expect you to sit in the workstation and you know all those software on the computer.

XZ: well, i used to work (with those software)

they are all nightmare memories, aren’t they?

you understand the method very well because i watch the tidbits when you choose the clothes and you mentioned something with grayscale, pinkish…i didn’t expect anyone to say it so accurately what else do you have in your mind? what’s the difference between this and the colorful black?

XZ: ah no~

what kind of air shots are there in the play? big bath towel, hurry to the elevator, brake, draw a bunny on the bread and call her ex-husband, there is also an ultraman appearance, which of them are designed by yourself?

XZ: it’s through our verification process…actually, it’s all rather than using the word design in the drama “SBMS” why don’t we say that many of them are things that reveal the truth at the moment, i didn’t preset. this is also something i really like, it’s just very real. when the director was in the rack position, he will hide a lot of seats, that’s what i mean by hiding. it’s because you can feel his existence and he create the most relaxed environment for actors.

i’m impressed…the director also said this, he told us that you got your wake up scene filmed. however, there are 8 direct shots from 8 camera positions that have not been released.

XZ: yes, yes, it seems to be…he’s really good at it. what makes him really powerful is that he used to shoot the scenes before, we will habitually save the emotions for close up before presenting them but often the feeling of people are the most precious at the present moment. the great thing about the director is that they have a long-range, medium-range close-up. he can catch it all.

do you like this kind of thing? several angles are filming at the same time. you don’t have to go through it many times.

XZ: usually when i go to the scene, i don’t even look at the cam seats. i will just pretend it doesn’t exist.

he said you are so smart, says you memorize your lines very well, you will just memorize it at once on the spot and then pass it, and he said that if you screw it or you stuck you would treat them to dinner.

XZ: ah yes, yes, ah director is really….my personal habit is that i will memorize all the line in advance, i will also be familiar with co actor’s line and then we joked at the scene that “whoever eat the screw they have to drink the water.”

you wear the same inner shirt in the first 16 episodes did you also notice the design?

XZ: i don’t know if it kiwi, or mango, when i try on the clothes. during the try on actually there are many clothes, including some major brands of the clothing but how can we make audience believe in shengyang growth, environment and the things he has experienced. i even wear different clothes every day for work, i can’t make audience believe it, i can’t convince myself either that basically the same outfit for work, because when i used it to work i will have a set of clothes for work. something just makes me feel comfortable at work, because you are at work station, you will sit for half an hours or even longer.

so wear those nice clothes only when you are not working…

here is a collection of unorganized thoughts i had about the ian interview with anthony in relation to dnp’s working relationship

smosh talking about being best friends who ended up being business partners and then roommates and how bad it was and how they were passive aggressive with each other because they couldn’t fight bc they had to be best friends for youtube 

at first i immediately got sad hearing it but also i do think there’s a slight difference in how smosh interacted, especially them saying they never ever talked about feelings or emotions and their relationship was always surface level anyway

as opposed to dnp who’s dynamic/relationship is inherently more emotion based and vulnerable so talking about what’s upsetting them is going to come more naturally when it comes to the business side

but obviously that kind of relationship in any context is going to be INTENSE and hard to maintain when your lives are that intertwined

anthony talking about growing up individually and then feeling like they had to regress back into their 17 year old selves when they did hang out (“all we did when we hung out was play mario kart and talk about what we were doing”) 

also something that made me slightly sad for a second, especially remembering dan’s whole thing about phil pulling him back and the jokes about regressing bc he’s back on youtube blah blah blah it’s not refined or representative of his growth (which i hope he’s dealing with that whole mindset please dear god) 

but also dnp have grown individually and as a duo and i think they’ve given each other the space to do so while also having the front row seat to that growth that smosh didn’t? 

them saying the new content is NOT going to be nostalgia base and they’re not going to revert back to their old personas is actually really interesting and i wonder what that’s going to look like.

it makes me think about how dan and phil would approach consistent joint content again pcou, especially given the ~vibe~ of the last few videos together (mostly thinking about the 2022 texting video that felt...off a bit? which is so rare for dnp). it’s gotta be hard to not slip back into those old roles especially when being on camera together again is still novel 

ian and anthony talking about how the audience shaped their friendship in their peak and how they tried to play into the characters the fans made for them and it caused resentment/ anthony said being the ‘hot one’ and ian being the ‘funny one’ upset him a lot because it made him question his value. i find that whole section fascinating because i think that’s one thing dnp held onto? like they didn’t let the audience decide their dynamic or personalities 

but dnp also had the added element of more intimate outlets like liveshows where we got to see natural dynamics or even gaming channel stuff while smosh only really did scripted sketch stuff, so the audience got to see a more well rounded version of dnp and not just like....TATINOF stage personas

also and idk how to say this articulately....dnp also were actively hiding a part of themselves and working against audience perspective so they’re less susceptible to succumb to being their personas off camera with each other (especially going back to the first point of their relationship being more complex emotionally than the 2 cishet dudes who said they didn’t share feelings for the first 20 years of their friendship)

smosh talking about their work styles and creative processes and how they mesh well together which i would LOVE to hear more about that from dnp in how they come up with ideas or the details of their process together ESPECIALLY now 

tbh i was never a smosh fan for a variety of reasons and i’ve never been fond of anthony but i appreciate what smosh meant to a lot of people and how big of a win this is for youtube creators in general. it is interesting to hear them talk about this new era and how excited they are for the future of the channel 

maybe other people will have a chat about what a revamped version of a beloved channel that was also a fun project for them could look like, especially without the pressure of making money off of it

please dnp i will buy yet another fucking channel membership off you

hey anon, if you mean my blog in general I use emojis as a tagging system for my characters since it's easier to keep track of because I'm usually on the app

they're linked in my pinned post but here's a breakdown of who's who and the symbolism (or lack thereof) behind them. gonna put this under a read more since it's gonna be long:

roster emojis:

🍃 = paris. a lively leaf floating through the wind with no sense of direction. paris and hector share the same motifs as being leaves that fell off the tree and how far they've traveled

🍂 = hector. a dried up rotten leaf that stopped drifting in the wind, very fragile and brittle. it will crumble under the slightest pressure

🥀 = andromache. a wilting rose. the tatlongharis have a flower motif so I wanted to keep up that symbolism with andi being a dying rose with no water (aka emotional support)

💀 = kirke. a skull. it's kinda funny because this emoji is used in comedic situations but it represents kirke's undead state and her not truly being alive as a cloud of nanomachines. decay is a common theme for her

⚰️ = yves. a coffin and a leftover from yves' earlier characterization as an undead, or half-dead, void knight. I may end up changing this once I finalize his new lore since it doesn't fit his aesthetic anymore (less immortal aether vampire being and more psycho mantis mgs mixed with alma wade f.e.a.r.)

🎐 = tauvane. a stationary wind chime. I actually couldn't find a nice emoji for her in the beginning since the newer ones don't display correctly on web browsers (at least for me since I'm still on win10). it doesn't really fit her current lore but her and achille share weather motifs

🌻 = evander. a bright sunflower that falls in line with the tatlongharis flower theme. it represents happiness and a good life, which is the total opposite of evander's backstory and personality

🌼 = patroclus. it's a white daisy (but it looks like a yellow flower on mobile) and connects him to the tatlongharis. daisies symbolize innocence and purity, just like him

🌪️ = achille. a tornado to symbolize his turbulent emotions and now retconned weather powers. back when I started developing achille he was supposed to have sea/water motifs because tauvane was originally a pirate

romantic emojis:

💐 = hector/andromache. a bouquet of flowers that's meant to symbolize their previous relationship when everything was good and quaint

🌤️ = achille/patroclus. a sun and a cloud. patroclus is the sun (bright and warm) and achille is the tiny cloud (meant to be his hidden desires slowly becoming seen)

⛓️ = yves/kirke. a link of chains. their relationship is more violent and toxic to contrast hector and andi. they're chained together because they're drawn to each other's dark desires and impulses

platonic emojis:

🌿 = hector & paris. it's technically an herb but I see it as a plant farther along in growth compared to paris and their mom. despite their own issues, paris and hector got along well until the end

🌱 = andromache & paris. a sprout or seedling that struggles to grow. keeping with the general plant/nature theme with the tatlonghari x wormwood families, the relationship between parent and child is slow going, but there's a chance for it to bloom

🌧️ = tauvane & achille. a sad rain cloud. this is also a leftover from their previous characterizations but it seems to fit their current stages of development since tragedy is a motif shared between mother and son

🏵️ = tatlonghari family. a golden rosette that I imagine as their family crest. this is a catchall emoji for the npcs and parts of my ocs that are affiliated with the family; familial trauma is a major theme here

Even aside from how funny the snw/lwd crossover was, it spoke to me as somebody who has been irritated with the fandom (that i can avoid less and less these days because of algorithms). 

Lower Decks has often been described as what would happen if star trek nerds got to actually be in starfleet. The quad of main characters are Massive starfleet nerds, and they also represent the fans who are more technical about it with their appreciation for ship models and engineering, but also the ones who’re fannish over the characters as well. 

So Boimler and Mariner going back in time to see these characters and being freaked out and disappointed that most of them are not the people they learnt about in the history books was Soothing. 

Pike and Una, the oldest of the bunch were more or less how Boimler and Mariner were expecting. They’ve already Done a lot of the things they’re famous for even if they’ve not done all of them.

But the younger ones whose stories we as the audience already know from other trek shows were not how they thought they would be. They are young, this is a prequel, the aim of a prequel is to explain how the story/characters ended up how they are when you meet them in the original media. Therefore, they’re not done cooking yet and are different right now. 

The differences in Spock and Uhura whom were most focused on were noted in different ways, Boimler was freaked out about Spock’s newfound decision to try and explore his emotions simply because this part of his story never hit a history book. Mariner told uhura how she’s remembered by history and some of it fit and some of it didn’t simply because Uhura’s still really young and she’s not grown to be the person she will yet. 

And Boimler was cut up about this at first, it took some time for him to come to terms with the fact that the stories he’d read about these people did not show him everything about them. Mariner had a different reaction, she saw Uhura is young and has so much to come that maybe she just needs a little help. But in the end they both saw the same thing. 

And i’ve been perpetually irritated by both the ‘they’re trying so hard to be tos and failing’ and the ‘why are they so different to tos this is bad characterisation’ crowds bc both fail to miss the point that A) this show is not trying to be TOS, it’s trying to write a story that will eventually Lead to TOS which is an entirely different thing, and B) no it’s not TOS on Purpose and the stories are as they are because it would be bad writing of a TV show, and in general a poor understanding of human growth and evolution, to do carbon copies of the OG characters and put them in all these situations and not have them evolve at all during the whole show. 

They’re not supposed to be like their future selves. They’re supposed to evolve Into them, which is an entirely different assignment and one they’re not failing at imo. If you judge the show for doing something it’s not trying to do, of course it’ll get a fail grade. 

I like lower decks bc for how silly it is, it is also smart. I think this episode was a very concise addressing some of the unfair complaints aimed at SNW while Also connecting to the SNW characters’ plots and being a wild funny ride at the same time. SNW is a prequel, the thing about prequels is they have to balance being able to develop characters to write a good show with engaging stories in its own right, but Have to end at a fixed point. If audiences won’t acknowledge that they won’t see the people they’re familiar with acting the way they’re used to until the end of the prequel, then everybody is gonna go around in circles. 

It’s a prequel and it’s acting like one, nobody has to Like prequels but it’s doing its job as one just fine.

I'm feeling very grateful for Shourtney right now! This has nothing to do with the ship, but everything to do with Shayne and Courtney and how they've helped me grow as a person!

So growing up, my parents weren't very strong influences in my personal development, so I always tell people I was practically raised by the internet and was obsessed with YouTube since I was 8 years old (I'm 24 now...). But I've spent so much of my life surfing through garbage trying to find positive influences. There were times I was almost sucked into the alt-right pipeline, and even though I was eventually guided to the left, I made it through so much shit that I'm still unpacking a lot of the bullshit I consumed...

Rediscovering Smosh and the cast was a GODSEND! Not only is Smosh non-problematic and left-leaning, it's a COMEDY GROUP? Y'all have no idea how rare that is... so many creators out there whose sense of humor is being as offensive and edgy as possible. I just like silly content, dude. And Smosh is IT, man. Their stuff was cool back when it was Ian and Anthony, but modern Smosh is just SOOOOO good 😭

I was in an extremely toxic work environment for the last 4 years (toxic masculinity, homophobia, racism, misogyny, you name it...), and I'm so glad I rediscovered Smosh around that time. I became obsessed and watched everything they put out because it was in such stark contrast to the environment I was in.

Shayne became my biggest influence because he's so outwardly not a toxic masculine man. Very respectful, very understanding, very uplifting, just trying to make everyone laugh and feel good about themselves. I know he's pretty traditionally masculine, but I'm also that way and I just can't stand how many men get sucked into this idea of never showing emotion, never being vulnerable, hating the powerless, hating anything remotely considered feminine... he's none of that. I've spent my entire adult life trying to purge all my internalized misogyny and toxic traits (it's not easy!) and he's been such a great influence in that way. And his influence over my sense of humor has been GALACTIC. His humor isn't at anyone's expense but (sometimes) himself, and that's the best way to be funny is to just be as silly and ironic of an entertainer as possible. It's everything I aspire to be. I just wish he dressed a little better sometimes, LMAO 💀

If Shayne is my yang, Courtney is my yin! Courtney represents everything I've come to love and appreciate about personal growth, self-expression, and femininity (even though I know they're NB). They're SO weird and SO not afraid to be themself, even at the risk of seeming "cringe". But I freaking love it, dude! It takes so much pressure off of trying to be perfect and fit into everyone's box, and I think that's what makes them so funny and entertaining! They're so... authentic. And Courtney's always the one to uplift the vibes, to bounce off people's energy, to bring out everyone's potential. They have this natural charisma that makes it insanely difficult not to want them to be in every video. And they've grown SO MUCH in the last 4 years! You would think 2018 Courtney vs. 2022 Courtney are completely different people! Getting to witness that change in real-time was soooo epic. And them understanding their own identity helped me reevaluate my own understanding of gender, masculinity, and femininity. I'm still cishet, but I think it's important that everyone have a thorough understanding of themselves and Courtney got me to explore those questions more than I ever would have.

Putting Shayne and Courtney in a room together makes actual magic, y'all. Everything I just said about them individually, put that TOGETHER. PLACE AN EXPONENT AT THE END OF THAT SHIT 👏 They bring out the best in each other, and it makes for some of the most entertaining shit. Like yes, I'm a Shourtney shipper, but dating or not, they are an unrivaled duo and I'm here for every minute of it.

Was Ao Lie really just there to be a horse? Why is he not also a disciple?

I can’t say for certain why he wasn’t a disciple but it could be that he wasn’t needed to be a disciple as honestly… the horse is kind of more important in symbolic ways.

Bailong is noted to be the only one that goes TO Gaunyin to beg for help, it looks like it was a more 'please save me' rather than a need to repent for his past actions as he was to be executed.

Wukong, Bajie, and Wujing were already given their punishments and the pilgrim was a way to redeem themselves while Bailong needed it as a lesser punishment for his execution.

Perhaps in the story, it has more to do with the legality of not being able to change a punishment into him having to convert to Buddhism as his need to be on the pilgrimage is only slightly different.

Or maybe it's less to do with in-story reasons and more out-of-story reasons.

There is an important metaphor that is the “horse of will” that BaiLong is supposed to represent and it is in that representation of a real horse that this can play out. The Horse of Will coincides with the metaphor of the Mind Monkey, giving Wukong and Bailong a lot of reflection of each other interestingly enough.

The meaning of the horse is less impacting in the story narratively wise because, yeah, Bailong doesn't have any lines and doesn't get any action beyond maybe 2 arcs.

But symbolically he is to be seen a lot like the extension of Wukong and his character development to conquer his own mind.

The Horse being of the Will to overcome one's own mind (Funny enough this says metal and wood are also reflections of each other and Bajie is to be wood, so I just like to point that out as well) and Wukong is the Mind Monkey, the image of impulsive thoughts needs to have a strong Will in order to control his impulses and conquer himself.

I think this could be also seen with how Wukong was the BiMaWen, who was in charge of the horse but gave up that position when he thought it was too lowly for himself. Kinda showing that he wasn't ready to control his own thoughts or think about the long-term consequences, rather acting on his first emotions of anger and rage and going down to earth to claim a new title for himself.

It is only when he starts his pilgrimage does he start to practice self-discipline and restraint in his actions (overtime as you see his character progress throughout the novel) and it's not an immediate change or even obvious at some points but I think that when looking back it shows a great growth from start to finish. Because Will isn't a one-time thing.

It is dedication to a cause.

It is walking every single day for 14 years. Without thanks or recognition. It is a single job, a single goal, a single mission that will not be stopped until it is completed.

It is keeping a slow but steady pace to win.

Each party member plays with an important aspect and while he isn't an 'official' disciple I think he is the Second Brother of my heart (I'm sorry Bajie). And even if he doesn't get a long of screen time, I like to also think that he still plays an important role considering 14 years is a long time and who knows how many horses you would have to go through to get to India.

He's not just a horse! He's THE HORSE!

If you follow members of Studio Orange's staff on Twitter, they've said that every character has their own wants, likes, and dislikes, and each one of them could serve as a protagonist in their own right. Shoot, Vash can cover both positions of male and female protagonist because of the actions he's taken and what's happened to him as a result.

But if we had to pick a protagonist specifically to serve as the audience's eyes? That's Meryl (and Roberto for the more experienced fans but I'll get to that in a sec--).

I'm mostly looking at this through the usual three-act structure that folks are usually taught in Literature classes. Where it's "leave the ordinary world, travel through the "other" world, then come back to the ordinary world changed" path.

To be more precise, Act 1 is mostly world-building and establishing the baseline, then booting the protagonist out into the world for some character growth. Act 2 is the meat of the adventure, with its ups and downs, and normally ends with an emotional low before a moment of clarity that sends the protagonist off into Act 3, to confront the main villain in a climactic scene that quickly wraps up and ends with the protagonist going back to what they were doing before, or at least something similar. Changed, but still them.

Vash, from his perspective, has been in Act 2 for a long time. His big "call to action" -- which normally happens at the end of Act 1 -- could arguably be an interaction with Nai post-Big Fall, either in the immediate aftermath or in the crashed space ship when all their sister-Plants were put through a Last Run state right before Vash arrived. Which means that right now, he could be going through the emotional low right before the point of clarity that normally happens at the end of Act 2 and the start of Act 3, mere scenes before the climax.

But here's the kicker that means we're getting another season: Meryl and Nicholas are still smack-dab in the middle of Act 2. Especially in terms of character development.

Putting this under a cut because this is gonna get long.

So, if we're looking at the 3-act structure from Meryl's perspective:

Her Act 1 "normal" world is being a reporter-in-training, getting a mentor in Roberto, and her initial, normal world call to action is to go find information about Vash the Stampede. The "other world" call to action doesn't hit her until about Episode 3 when Knives comes in and completely destroys Jeneora Rock. After we've had some world development and pulled Meryl into the "hey, there's more going on here than you know" sort of scenario.

But that's the funny thing about calls to action. They can happen multiple times in a story -- just because a story follows a "three act structure" doesn't mean it has to follow those rules to a T. I say this because a mentor character's death can be a call to action, too.

Which brings in Roberto as the experienced fans' eyes. He knows about the villains, and even knows to be suspicious of Wolfwood when we first meet him in Episode 4. He fills in the newbie on what she needs to know about the world. He's jaded and knows there's danger around every corner -- and like the fans who hate Stampede, he doesn't want anything to do with it.

But Meryl -- the new fans -- keep pulling Roberto back in, and drag him along. As a result, Roberto and the old fans' eyes die in Episode 10, because they went along despite knowing what they know.

Roberto's death represents the kick in the pants Meryl needs to develop more closely to the character we remember her being in the old show, and it makes Meryl become the eyes of the old and new fans as a result.

Roberto's death may not be the end of her Act 1 if we count the first call to action as that end, but I don't think it's her true emotional low in Act 2, either. Meryl is fully submerged in the "other" world now, and is prepared to do what she needs to in order to help Vash.

(Granted, if we count each "season" as its own book and each book having its own 3-act structure, Roberto's death could absolutely be that emotional low before Meryl's Act 3, but we know they're not done with Trigun Stampede's story yet)

And then Wolfwood. His "normal/ordinary" world is the world that Meryl gets pulled into -- that of the Plant brothers warring with each other, and the Eye of Michael. He gets a call to action with his mission to guide Vash, but it's not the call to action that gets him moving into the "other" world yet. Vash attempted to give him one by saying "I'm trying to save you too" in Episode 10 after he got shot, but Wolfwood turned that down by letting him go to his brother alone.

Episode 12 is going to give him his real call to action that'll boot him straight into Act 2. I'm certain of it. Nicholas is Vash's foil, after all, and that means they both get development, damnit.

Which lets me circle back to Vash and how he's technically moving into Act 3 territory. Like I said before, he's been in the meat of his "adventure" for a long time, and there's a climax coming for him. But that's the funny thing with story climaxes: there can be smaller ones in Act 2 before we hit that emotional low and moment of clarity before the big one in Act 3. It's just that they're gonna be smaller than the big, final climax, and maybe even mimic how the Act 3 climax is going to go.

You see this a lot in book series, mostly because it's hard to end Act 3 with being back in the "ordinary but changed" world for every single book. That means starting up again with the basic world-building, etc for the next book, with Act 1 all over again. But nope. Sequels start in Act 2, because Act 1 only happened the once, and the protagonists haven't had their true final battle yet to get out of Act 3.

So Vash could still be in Act 2, and may even slide back a little in terms of development because of Knives messing with his memories. While it may not entirely wipe out what makes Vash who he is, memories are an important part of our core. They help tell us why we react to certain things emotionally the way we do. Here's hoping Knives left a little something behind when he messed with Vash, because otherwise he's gonna be very different from the person we've been spending time with the last 11 episodes.

And Knives? He's in the meat of Act 2, too, like his brother, although his call to action came much sooner -- it was when he saw Tesla, and thought he needed to protect his younger brother. His emotional low was when Vash pointed a gun in his face, followed by the clarity of "I need to force my brother to my side. He'll see, one way or another."

Which would place Knives in a climax point, either in a lengthened Act 2 or in his Act 3. But that doesn't mean he's done developing as a character -- far from it.

Because I think Vash is gonna give him reasons to develop next week. Whether Knives likes it or not.

Today (on my location in the early morning hours just before sunrise) on April 6th we celebrate and honor the Pink Full Moon.

The Pink Full Moon causes us to experience heightened and strong emotional feelings and sensitiveness caused by Jupiter standing in opposition to the moon. At the same time Jupiter, in opposition to the moon, is responsible for expansion and growth. The Pink Full Moon also represents healing, growth, potential, rebirth and transformation out of the dark times into the better and warmer spring and upcoming summer times.

The Pink Full Moon standing in the Air sign Libra will keep us in uncertainty and will make decision making more difficult. Thus the Pink Full Moon in Libra motivates us to seek equilibrium in our emotions, find balance, harmony and peace with oneself and within our relationships. This can be achieved through seeking equilibrium in embrace and emotional bond with loved ones. The Full Moon in Libra is all about relationships, strengthening relationships and focusses on love, romance, sex and spending time with loved ones. It was kind of funny because the astrology forecast in the timeframe of the Full Pink Moon said "we may feel drawn to healing professions" and the boy was studying for his exams to become a physiotherapist right before I knocked on the door, and he was very happy to see me since it had been a long long time. After this, we visited another friend to help prepare a wedding gift for her daughter and spend some time with her cat as well, which is a holy animal in connection to the moon. In the nighttime we wanted to go for a walk in the moonlight or go to the witches forest at the border either during midnight or early in the morning because the moon would be completely full right before sunrise, but we were so exhausted that we just watched the Pink Full Moon from our window instead and I listened to my devotional playlist while doing so.

This weekend we also have our village fest, which is annually being held around the time of the Pink Full Moon, there some celtic pagan bands will also be performing.

GaW: real name is Gamen Watch. Gamen is pronounced kind of like how people pronounce Gaben. he makes music. it is literally this accounts content. in his mid 20s so he feels really really weird when people call him "mister" and act like hes older than he is. adoptive brother of the right judge. can freely shapeshift with little to no limitations, as is shown in both rhythm heaven and smash ultimate. very gay, possibly polyamorous. also actually my husband.

Vermin: real name is Vernon Kasperski. can also shapeshift- something which is held alongside his brother- but to a lesser degree than GaW. has numbers on his feet like his brother, like this comic i did shows. has been absurdly tall since about 16 years old, when he had a massive growth spurt. has lightning powers. has a giant soft spot for marcus since theyve been best friends for 11 years as of present day. can drive, but isnt very trustworthy with it because he road rages and also can barely fit in a car. occasionally hits his head on doorframes. probably listens to nu-metal or something. also gay, but caedsexual because of stuff that happened when he was ~8 years old.

Stanley: full name is Stanley Fairley. was raised basically-catholic so has a lot of hangups about a lot of things. doesnt actually like killing bugs so his sprayer just incapacitates them instead. has a very strong green thumb and cultivates plants by himself. could drive if he wanted to, but bikes everywhere instead. twink. greatly enjoys jazz and basically all of its variations and is actually pretty good at singing, but doesnt do it a lot. would probably be considered more of an alto than a tenor. very very gay for his boyfriend chief.

Chef: real name is Chief Manson. loves cats, and owns a cat named Brisket that he keeps in his food establishment away from the food itself. lets people pet Brisket as long as they are gentle. got the symbol for capsaicin tattooed on his left arm as a joke on being "hot-headed." would probably give cooking lessons if he were any good as a teacher. can drive. is trans (post-top surgery, non-bottom surgery) and very very gay for his boyfriend stanley.

Rainshower: real name is Míchael Hermoso. the accent is very important to his name. generally annoyed at the fact that most people say "miguel" and not "míchael." youngest person in the au by far. (14 years old in "present day") doesnt go to public school because marcus is gone all day, so they get tutored while they take care of the house. doesnt actually mind this arrangement very much. more passionate about sports than he might initially look. generally male but doesnt actually know what their thing is so they flip-flop between gender and no gender.

Left Judge: real name is Chen Teller. yes these are different people. very autistic and very introverted. generally quite lucky. special interest is plushies and textile work. custom-makes its own plushes and sells custom-made close-to-seamless clothes made specifically for autistic people online. hates being touched and the sensation of things rubbing against its skin. does not get enough sleep and tends to ignore bodily sensations quite a bit. likes quite a bit of music ranging between orchestral to deconstructed club-type stuff, though it all has to be pretty gentle. is "gender ambivalent," but uses it pronouns because it likes to feel detached from its own personhood. very weird about attraction.

was so caught up in the whole "dark worlds reflect the will of the knight who created the fountain" thing that i was only looking at it from kris's perspective. i think it's more than that, though.

my brain is fried bc it's midnight and im not really going anywhere in particular with this, but...

i very much think that queen is a representation of noelle's mom. from what we know abt her mom, she's pretty hard on noelle, the mayor, and Pretty Powerful as the mayor since alphys mentions the police not really having a purpose considering how the mayor sort of dominates the town.

queen's stated to have always been a pretty strict ruler, but once the fountain showed up, she'd gotten extreme. she picks on noelle in particular, doesn't care about the other kids, constantly dotes on her and searches for her when she's missing but pressures/threatens her into doing what she wants (or trapping her when she attempts to defy her). she's never outright cruel in a way that isn't humorous or lighthearted to the player, but it's still clear what her intentions are. despite wanting to use noelle to create the "ideal world" or whatever, it's so so clear by the end that she (1) is not evil she straight up says she doesn't want to end the world, and (2) genuinely cares about noelle so so much!! she wants her to be HAPPY and tries to give her everything she wants but just cannot see from noelle's point of view!

and noelle standing up to queen, telling her that her plans would not make her happy and that she wouldn't want to live in that world, that's her growth!!! this dark world helps noelle get the bit of confidence boost she needs to take back the reigns and try for herself.

so queen is funny haha character but i also really think she represents noelle's mom. also berdly is there. his growth is that he needs to be humbled, learn that not everything is about intelligence, and that he'll still have friends even if he's not the best at everything. and our main characters still grow and develop but the cyber world feels so much more like noelle and berdly's stories.

the setting/theme/contents of the dark world is influenced (and confined by) the light world setting that the fountain was created in. it's cyber themed. duh. cuz it's in the library. but i mean... noelle's wish for confidence, berdly's need for approval and praise, ambu-lance enemy (could just b funny antivirus joke but still.. hospital imagery + noelle...), a bunch of Gamer stuff like the punch-out type sequences (because berdly gamer?), the spelling puzzles???? yknow the spelling bee, the big thing that was super influential to both noelle And berdly? yeah. might b more im forgetting.

but basically... soemthing somethign fountains created by the will of the knight. but just as it's influenced by the items in the room, it's influenced by the emotions and experiences that have taken root there, and the people attached to those things that spend a lot of time in that location

basically tl;dr the knight's will when creating a fountain may not just be limited to the knight itself.

its that after years of being treated like shit by show runners who let their egos separate them from the very fan base that makes their show the success it is, show runners who alienated themselves and drove their shoes into the ground out of sheer pride, show runners who ignored their audiences wishes and observations because of some weird power trip they go on when their show gained traction, show runners that baited fans into watching with teases of what they know they actually want to see then gaslighting them into thinking it wasn’t there at all....after years of that we get show runners like jonas, shannon, and josh.

show runners clearly care more about their show and what it represents than the money it brings them, show runners that promised to listen to their audience and take note of how they can improve.

who heard “Pope needs more development and we really didn’t like what you did to his character at the end is last season”. and said okay, now the backbone of this story is based around him and his family legacy, making it now not just about getting the gold for monetary reasons but deeply personal ones. now he has been put in essentially the same emotional situation and showed clear growth from it. proving him to be the loyal, caring, steadfast friend you always knew he was.

who heard “you can do better with the portrayal of your female characters”. and said okay, now Sarah has a very complex storyline about the inner struggle between the family you have vs the family you choose, complete with themes grief and healing and trauma and so much development. now Kiara also has to struggle with the concept of loyalties and who you are vs who your family wants you to be. now you have the new character of Cleo who is an absolute bad ass, all around incredible friend, and funny as all get out. now you have the Kie and Sarah friendship being so strong and so secure.

who heard “i know you guys like the gold and the action but please don’t forget about the friendships”. and said okay. now you can have one of the nose insane action packed, twisty seasons of tv you’ve ever seen while still somehow managing to keep in scenes that show the bond these teenagers have. with moments of laughter and tenderness and talking through very, very difficult feelings that prove no matter what happens, they will never ever give up on each other.

who heard “hey we really like this ship actually. but please handle it well” and said okay. now you have the clear, slowburn development of feelings between JJ and Kie without disregarding Pope’s feelings, showing why him and Kie aren’t compatible and they so clearly are. without pushing it on you or dropping it out of nowhere.

there are so many other examples i cant even think of right now bc my brain is still in over drive. but, bottom line is that the heart and love they put into this season is so obvious and absolutely seeps out of every single episode.

this is the perfect picture of what it looks like to genuinely care about your characters and the world you’ve created and the fans who help make the show what it is. instead of just being in it to turn a quick buck.
