I've been slacking on Cooking Crush (holidays and everything), but from what I've been seeing, I think I'm gonna fast-forward through the Fire/Dynamite scenes. I'm not with the "make the victim of stalking the villain" narrative they're trying to push.

I have finally reached full fast forward with them. I haven't done a full fast forward through a side couple since... Oxygen, I swear.

But it's so uncomfortable. It's so just... it sets off all my icks. Every single one of them.

Because the idea that Fire likes Dynamite didn't get to develop, Dynamite's stalking is literally just 'oh, but it helped Fire that he did it so it's okay!' and now the story is about Fire accepting his feelings towards Dynamite and being drunk and stupid-tsundere instead of what could have been an interesting storyline about someone in the closet and someone too pushy trying to figure things out.

Because, honestly, if they took Dynamite's stalking at all seriously it could have been very interesting to see Fire's growing feelings towards him but also all his fears towards his mother and also with Dynamite's forwardness and pressure... but the feelings that Fire supposedly has towards Dynamite felt like a switch getting flipped rather than any kind of character development.

And it felt like a switch being flipped very unnaturally.

And then it's the whole downplaying of the stalking and how much the show is obviously trying to tell us that 'doesn't matter' and 'no one cares now!!!'

I hate it and I hate that I hate it because I love Neo, as an actor, so much and have to fastforward through his storyline is so frustrating but it's so bad and it really, really bothers.

One thing that Firefox can’t do is allow me to access my telehealth therapy appointments. Three different platforms now have rejected my use of Firefox. I use Safari instead bc that’s what works and at least it isn’t chrome, but for folks who rightfully use Firefox, be aware that many, if not all, telehealth platforms will not work on Firefox (something about the encryption/security not being up to their standard, I believe; if there are hacks that Firefox gurus know to bypass this, please share with the class?).

50 notes, I call to ask if my doctor's appointment has been scheduled (I've been avoiding it for two weeks now)

100 notes, I go wash my shoes that have long needed washing and are just sitting there, existing, waiting for me to deign to wash them.

200 notes, I finish organizing my room (I organized it halfway and then left a bunch of things that still don't have a defined place)

500 notes, I use the things I have to bleach and color my hair. The only thing that has stopped me is the fear of doing it wrong or being too lazy to maintain it.

1k notes, I stop doing things that I know will trigger my chronic pain with the pure intention of confirming that the pain was indeed real (don't do this. 0 recommended).

5k notes, I try some new food without fear of wasting money by buying something I most likely won't like (my autism hates new foods)

10k notes, I wear my bi flag earrings in front of someone I wouldn't usually wear them with. I trust that they possibly wouldn't have a problem with me being bi, but I would never get up the courage to tell them anything

20k notes, wtf I have absolutely no idea. If it comes to this, ehhh... Honestly, I have no idea what I'm doing here. Do I promise to be honest in therapy and stop telling them that everything is perfect even though nothing has ever been perfect? Yeah, that probably works. i feel like not enough ppl are factoring in the cultural clash between laios and shuro and the many micro agressions shuro faced while being in their group. literally the name 'shuro' in itself is one

his name is toshiro 😭 lets also not forget that he has his own communication issues, in the opposite way that laios does- thats literally a factor in their argument, that his envy for laios's ability to express himself sincerely manifested as part of his distaste for him.

ig all this to say like, was their fight heart wrenching, especially when reading laios as autistic? absolutely. anybody whos ever been in laios's position knows how much it hurts to realize someone you thought was your friend doesnt actually like having you around, especially when they didnt tell you and you had no way of knowing due to not understanding their cues. but im begging yall to step back and see the nuance of this situation cause im gonna be real a lot of you are kinda just brushing over it acting like everything is toshiros fault and that hes a terrible person when in reality hes an average guy who really, really clashed with laios and it led to a very long misunderstanding due to their supremely opposite methods of communication. even laios and toshiro, after letting everything out in their fight, were able to come to an understanding and start a foundation for an actual friendship built on better communication
