yes I'm a Christian writer. Yes I'm a Christian artist. Yes I'm a Christian whatever--I'm so tired of people being like "I'm not a Christian ___, I'm actually a ______ who is Christian" what?!? No! Say the "Christian" part of my identification louder, it's the only part that matters.
I have been crucified with Christ, therefore it is no longer I who live! No longer I who put pen to paper! No longer I who type! No longer I who thinks and plans and practices and works and communicates--it's Christ who lives in me! He must increase! I must decrease!
If you're a Christian, knock that bogus worldly self-centered crap about "no I'm not part of the 'Christian genre' so I'm not a 'Christian whatever,' because I want to be taken seriously," off. Knock it off, shut up, get out of here with that.
Who cares if you're taken seriously? Who are you doing this for? For others? For Christ? Or just for you and your own credit and your own status? Get away from me with that. Ugh.
Anything you do in your life is supposed to be for Christ. You died. You said He was in charge of you from now on--You said He was the sum total of your identity, from now on. Did you mean it? Or did you mean, "everything except my special interests and career?" Of course not.
Anything you do in your life is supposed to be for Christ. That includes your art, your music, your hobby, your writing, your job. You should be so fortunate, so favored, to be called a "Christian" anything. You're not identifying with the "Christian genre," you're identifying with Christ. The word Christian doesn't mean "little Skillet" or "little Frank Peretti" or "little Dallas Jenkins." The word Christian means "little Christ."
You should be so fortunate to be called "Christian" anything, like the disciples were beside themselves with joy to be called "Christian" prisoners and "Christian" slaves. Because they got to be associated with Christ.
Get out of here. Honestly.

Devotional Desire
Sometimes, the poems get stuck inside my throat. Sometimes, the words run through my mind so fast that I can only see their spectre, mere foam. In vain, I try to catch them, but they laugh; nymphs of an enchanted forest, hiding behind flowers and trees, dancing in the wind. And there I am, under the light, exposed to their mystery, unable of discerning, lost in their realm – the realm of meanings and seamless feelings that are simultaneously universal and unique, just another glimpse of eternity to me.
Sometimes, I hum a melody for you and then put some words around it. I remember thinking about writing them down so a friend could sing with me, but your sweetest voice told me no, don't do it. Those small songs were supposed to be our eternal secret. Only I sang, only you listened. The angels leaned forward, but no notes were taken. It is stored in another dimension, far away from prying eyes, far away from bad intentions. No one can touch our secret or corrupt the levels of descent in my devotion. What is the praise of men compared to the whisper of heaven in your shoulders? Worms in a plate of bones.
Now it's another season. I sing a lot less while I try to listen. I'm not very good at it, I confess, I insist—help me discern your voice in this, at times, abyssal experience. You lift me up with a kiss! I'm yours, I'm yours, my eyelids are half open, and my face is covered in tears. Obliterated from the inside out, fully naked it is. So I recite the spectre of these words I gather in the forests of my wild mind and offer you a poem. In the silent night, ceiling-staring all the time, trying to see past the firmament, piercing the skies, I pray in poetry; my verses shakily whispered. I feel you, hypnotic and soothing as fire. You smile; our secret is safe in my childlike, devotional desire.

*Le gasp* my first ever writing game tag! 😁 Thank you @annakayy ! I loved your last line!
LAST LINE TAG
"I-- I promise I'll be good! I'll be really good! And I won't break anything else, or be too loud, or--" "Ash. Ash!" Jett put out his hand to slow the sudden burst of words. "Buddy. It's okay." He got up and knelt beside the bed, so he was lower than Ash, not in any way physically over him. "Ash. I am never going to hit you, okay? I promise."
This is from a stand alone novel I've been working on instead of my main series. Quick context is that Jett, one of the main characters, just realized that the kid he recently took in has been abused. 😭😭
I'm pretty new to Writeblr, so I'm just going to tag some of the others who reblogged the "I wanna be tagged" post:
@wynters-writings @chronicler-of-narrative @rhyaxxyn @the-writer-nerd-ro
And also tagging my bestie @sparkles-rule-4eva
Post the last line of your WIP, then tag others to play!

My Complete & Current Projects
I feel like I haven't properly provided summaries of the stories I'm current working on as of yet, so here you go! ✧System Collapse✧ A story set in a dimension called the Hub, which contains a self sustaining cyberpunk lite city surrounded by a vast forest called the Deadlands. Intelligent races of all types live here more or less peacefully. But that doesn't mean there's no dark goings on under the surface. The story revolves Comet and his best friend Blip. They're trying to figure out how and why Blip's brother Oz disappeared, only to come back later with powerful tech controlling abilities, and calling himself DeathScreen. At the same time, Blip has a serious problem of his own, and is forced to leave the city, leaving it up to Comet to unravel what is really going on. ✧Catalyst: the Void Children✧ (formerly just called Teen's Story because I didn't know what else to call it at the time)
This one revolves around Tiger, Luna, and Ruby, 3 teens who are voidlings: beings who are bestowed powerful abilities against their will, and are feared by others for the lethal energy they contain. Rejected or alone for different reasons, they come together in order to survive their wanderings just outside of society, dodging people out to hunt them down, as well as a cult who sees Tiger in particular as the key to jumpstarting their own dark plans.
They long for a place where they'll be safe, but how do you find that in a world that sees you as villains and monsters?
Completed Projects
✧Champion's Plight✧
A short prequal comic to System Collapse. Alton, a counsel member of Hub City, invites Xiao, the newly crowned champion of the gaunto's annual combat tournament for a celebratory dinner. But strangely enough, Xiao doesn't seem all that happy with his own accomplishment. Curious, Alton inquires as to why. The resulting conversation may just give Xiao a new perspective on things. Read it here: https://championsplight.the-comic.org/

Hi! I saw it says you're a Christian in your bio, and I was wondering if you had any tips as to where to draw the line when writing like romantic scenes? I, too, am a Christian fanfic writer, and I don't write smut, but I can never tell if like the making out parts or innuendos that I do sometimes include are too much? So far, I've come to the conclusion that as long as it's nothing that would be covered by a bathing suit/swim trunks, it's ok, but again, idk.
Totally understand if you don't feel comfortable answering!
I actually saw this question answered on Instagram! So here’s my answer.
Anything done with pure intentions is okay. I’m talking about no sex before marriage. I’ll point out that my Lillianna and Carlisle stories they are not married. Yet at least.
Though I don’t write smut and I leave things open for the reader to interpret for themselves. This adds to the fun for the reader instead of me telling every detail.
That was a little off topic but there’s an example.
Now, it’s smut really that the line is drawn in writing.
Smut is porn basically, and that’s impure so Christians shouldn’t be writing it. Innuendos and kissing? That’s cool.
Close door romances is what it’s called. Where the scenes have some suggestiveness but isn’t full on “okay time to get freaky and oh look at his peeper”.
It’s more “this is happening but you’re not gonna see it. You can see these two characters are excited!”
To touch on, character sexuality and Christians—if you want to honor God in your writing don’t just keep the smut out but also the same sex romance. Both are sexual immorality. The book of Romans (my favorite book of the Bible next to Proverbs!) goes into detail on sexual immorality. With it being impure to both the body and the mind.
I think it could be really interesting to take that last bit for a plot. Like what issues could two characters face when they engage in romances that are sexually impure? If you were interested in writing something that was angsty and darker.
Thanks for asking! I don’t mind answering questions like that!

Kinda random, but I decided to show these...
I am working on a story right now based on the song Soldier, Poet, King, and I decided to post the references for my main two charcaters, and the meaning of their names. :)
Latoya: Flower who grows and blooms in spite of darkness.
Main female character

---
Saxon: Swordsman
Main male character

The story is Christian allegory, and the idea is cool, but who knows if it'll actually be cool on paper 😅😅

INKTOBER 2023 "MAP"
It is a few minutes later, and Zachary bought them a map of the entirety of Whitton district. Clock Island was divided into five district; these, in turn, were divided into counties, then into towns and the like. They found Snowflower, and from there, located Silverpaw. It was in a different county, nearing the coast. It was well over two-hundred miles.     “You can’t travel that on foot. Not safely, at least.” Zachary said. They were sitting at a park bench, John’s paws holding the map down at the table, while Zachary leaned on one arm and watched him through tired eyes. “Are you certain you’d rather not go back to your family?”     John looked ready to argue. He stared up from the map- bit his lip, and looked back down. Trying to reason a path through. But there it is, on the map, far away- clear as day. He says. “I- I can take a train. Or something.”     “With what money?”     John continued to stare at the map. Zachary suspected that, if he had had any on him, it was all gone now. John mumbled. “You… could… lend me some?”     Jeremy had asked him the same thing, and Zachary had done so, willing that his friend would succeed. And no one ever heard from him again. Who knows what fate befell him; John is so much younger, too. Zachary answered him. “I’m sorry. I can’t afford to.”     “Why not?” John answered, ears flattening on his head.     “I’ve only so much left…” Zachary shrugged listlessly. “And I do not have any work to supply me with more.”     “Get a job then!”     Zachary scoffs. “Oh. If it were so simple, I would have gotten one already.”

Hi, I'm Iva! I can say I'm a lonely soul, at times I feel like a child, sometimes like I am 160 years old lady. I'm too weird for my friends, too friendly for strangers, too christian for the art community, too artistic for the christian community, too high-functioning for a diagnosis, and too self-aware to drop my therapist. Definitely too mystic for hedonism, and too orthodox for gnosticism - but also too experienced to believe in imperfect human definitions. Too smart for the educational system scam, but definitely too dumb for basic math. Also, I get lost very easily and have this tendency to hit myself while walking around the house, which means I might hit you if we walk side by side. Can't stop crying once I start. I will need coffee. And tea. I hate most textures, so don't buy me clothes as a gift, please. In fact, I prefer shopping alone. I'd be happy to hold your hand and just feel the silence with you if you need me to - or the pain. Love reading, but hate most books (I'm picky). Desktop > mobile. I have a kaleidoscope for a mind. Would take in all the abandoned animals and orphans if I had the chance, but I can't help everyone, and can't help myself sometimes... I'm a terrible liar. English is my second language. I can be grumpy for no reason, especially if I'm tired. Yeah, I'm full of flaws, but following the flawless one.
Anyway, I hope you feel welcome. ✶

Intro to Me!
Hello! I'm a Christian gal who loves Jesus and writing! You can call me RebieaZ or my blog name!
This blog is for me to rant post coherently about my stories and OCs, share snippets of my writing, and also post/reblog random writing memes and things!
I write primarily contemporary and fantasy novels, as well as some fanfiction (fanfic is mostly posted on my fandom blog, @number-one-shadisper-shipper). I love writing about found family and Christian themes like redemption and sanctification! I strongly believe in the power of words and stories to shape our thoughts and beliefs, and so I strive to write in a way that brings honor to God and causes people to think differently.
My WIPs:
(still making posts for all of these but will link them when ready. Feel free to ask about any of them!)
Days of Resistance (French Revolution- insired series)
Phoenix (sci-fi/superhero novel)
The Lion Academy (Fantasy series)

Has anyone heard of a website called Book Bub. I really enjoy it because it emails you with free and discounted book promotions. And yes there are some really good authors and really good books that are completely free. TD Jakes just recently had a free offer. You tell the website what books you like and it emails the offers in many different genres of your choice. I have a free Amazon cloud reader that allows me to read the books. Many of the books I have read lately are as good as a movie. Technology even allows us to listen to them in our browser. God truly has blessed us by giving us the wisdom to make our lives better. Have a great day. Your friend the Christian writer.
