I had an idea!

Basically, I’m to lazy to make a video out of this so I’m just gonna write it on Tumblr.

I got bored so I decided to research what my OC’s names meant and I gueeeeess I’ll share it. :)

Just a warning: I may have gotten some of these wrong so take it with a grain of salt (or perhaps multiple grains)

Layla: Night. Alternate spelling of “Lailah” an angle in some interpretations of the Talmud.

Rowan: Little red head. Can also be a surname. Gender neutral.

Emerson: Brave, powerful. Combination of Emma and Emily.

Stephen: Crown or garland. Derived from the word Stephanos. Made popular by the Biblical figure Saint Stephen who was the first Christian martyr.

Michael: Who is like god? Derived from the Hebrew name Mikha'el.

Mitchell: Who is like god? England version of Michael.

Faye: Loyalty or belief. Also a type of fairy.

William: resolute protector, will, desire, helmet, protection. First introduced by William the Conqueror in 1066.

Mason: Stoneworker. Of British roots. Gender neutral.

Nathan: Gift from god.

Alex: Defender of human kind. Derived from the ancient Greek name Alexandros.

Rosie: A flower. That’s about it.

Owen: Noble-born, young warrior. From the Welsh name Owain, a form of Eugene.

James: Supplanter (something that replaces something else.)

Benjamin: Son of the right hand, son of the south, son of my days. “In the Hebrew Bible, Benjamin is Jacob's twelfth and final son and founder of the Israelite Tribe of Benjamin” - The Bump

Eric: Sole/eternal ruler. Of Viking lore.

Clyde: Warm and friendly. Scottish. The River Clyde flows through Glasgow (Scotland)

Iain: God is gracious. Alternate spelling for Ian, the Scottish form of John.

Lester: Fortified place.

Natalie: Birth of the Lord. Comes from the Latin words "natale domini” and Natalia, meaning "Christmas Day."

I will forever remember who Edger Allen Poe is

Toady, in class, we were talking about Poe’s writing, specifically the Raven and some other poem about the death of his wife (who was also his cousin, I may point out.) And my teacher said something along the lines of “he thought a Raven was taking to him. The story is about the death of his…” then she kind of tapered of to let the class fill in the answer. And some kid in the back of the room shouted “husband!” Waved his arms in the air and fell out of his chair.

I think i need to make a comic out of this…

BUNNIES!!!

Guys. Three bunnies just moved into our backyard. They’ve got a nest and everything, even kits (Or, we know they’re going to.) And it is sooo cute! Just watching them hop around is making me melt into a puddle. I think I need to write a RRF… y’know, RPF is real person fiction? No, only me? Okay.

Anyway, there’s three of them, and I don’t know the specifics of bunny mating but I’m pretty sure one must be the mate of the female while the other is… a brother? Hm. WAIT! Excuse me whilst I research bunny polyamory.

We’ve named them Otto, Atlas, and Meep, by the way. Expect to see them pop up in some of my writings. Oh, you forgot I was even a writing blog? Yeah, I did to.

I’ve got a few pictures, but I don’t think they sum up the cuteness nearly well enough.

(I think the far left is Meep and the right and center are either Atlas or Otto. Atlas has a big white tail and Otto is smaller than the other two. But I can’t really tell)

SPIDERS!!!!!!

Okay. It was 5am and I was drawing peacefully on my chair (because the only time I feel inspiration is past midnight.) Then, I thought I’d seen something out of the corner of eye… I looked up. What did I see? A FREAKING SPIDER! It was crawling on my blanket and I thought I was about to die. Nope, this is the end! So, I kid you not, I threw my iPad across the room, leapt out of my chair, and scurried like a scared guinea pig to the other side of the room. Where I then stood staring in horror at my chair. And I don’t curse much, but there I was, staring at my unmoving chair, faint YouTube playing in the background, feeling like spiders were crawling all over me. Muttering fu*k no, fu*k no, over and over again as if my life depended on it.

What’s I morale of the story? Summer sucks and spiders are going to be the end of me.

Great another random thing for this blog to talk about

The top button goes to then next song and the bottom one goes back, makes sense right? Well, apparently my brain thinks not. Whenever I skip songs, I imagine it skipping through songs as it would in the screen. So, down means next and up means back. Do you see the issue? NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I TELL MYSLEF THE CORRECT ORDER I DO IT WORNG!!

Here is my conlang’s word for ‘to attack’: Ärēfôkôfkē (informal)

Literally, it means ‘to hunt harshly.’

Another thing for me to go overboard with. Great. What’s the word for ‘to drink’ gonna be? ‘To drown in liquid but not die, in fact, it is needed for life.’

Also, btw, I’m at a ninja comp right now for by brother. I’ve been sitting up here in the bleachers for two hours! Only 5 and a half to go!
