Celestial 2 | Lilac Coral Fungus
The third one I drew, and I already lost track of making these simple.
Oh, and I gave it stats for D&D 5e:

I like sending Christmas cards but I hate everything that's too much "tidings of New England Christmas fantasy" and not enough "oh my god the holiday monster is upon us." So in the spirit of "if you want something done you have to add your own tentacles" I made myself some Christmas cards, and I figure I'm not the only one who is totally done with Christmas positivity.
You want to send a friend a Christmas card with a whole bunch of teeth? Well NOW YOU CAN. https://happylittlenightmares.art

Gooze – Small ooze, chaotic evil
…and thus, a new horror was unleashed onto Falbheim’s already more than hazardous substructures. Tisdor Dwindleteeth III’s joy was immeasurable when he finally managed to merge magically condensed consciousness with one of his many specimen of ooze. Of course, even the slightest bit of joy for the infamous necromancer meant trouble for everyone else – great trouble to be precise. After a short period of pondering, the gooze – as this monstrous abomination was later named – instantly assumed the most destructive shape it was able to imagine…just to wreak havoc wherever it waddles.
🔮 If you like my work, kindly consider to support me on Patreon to gain access to monster pages, tokens & artwork of 200+ of quirky creatures, items and potions. Plus, I released my first Foundry VTT modules – 70 creatures, 5 huge ones and 20 potions are done already, many more are in the making!

As of today, we are releasing the February 29th, 2024 version of the Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy full prerelease rulebook FOR FREE.
Tumblr media
If you’re wondering what Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy even is, it’s going to Kickstarter starting April 10th, 2024, and, besides downloading the free version we are releasing today, the Kickstarter link is probably the best way to learn what you can expect from it.
As a thank-you to all of those who have supported us with follows, reblogs, likes, and word-of-mouth, we are replacing the cut-down free demo version of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy that has been available on our website with the full February 29th prerelease version of the rulebook. If you’ve only looked at the demo version, this is huge for you. Four months of constant additions, improvements, playtesting, polishing, and tweaking, plus access to all of the things that were redacted from the original demo version, including rules for handling explosives, advanced melee combat rules, and five fully playable man-eating monsters—and Eureka handles playing monstrous PCs in a way you’ve never seen before! This isn’t just +1 to strength and +2 extra damage taken from silver weapons, playing a monster in Eureka is a whole different experience from playing a mundane PC!
Download the free full prerelease version now from our website!
If you like it, consider giving us a tip on Ko-fi, or the pay-what-you-want version on itch.io! (At the time of writing this, the pay-what-you-want version is not actually set up yet, so your best bet is to get the free version from our website and give us a little donation on ko-fi.)
All subsequent updates to the prerelease version will continue to be exclusive to patreon subscribers; for only $5 you can get the regularly updated prerelease version of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy as well as many other in-progress projects such as adventure modules and literary works!
And don’t forget, Eureka is fundraising on Kickstarter starting on April 10th, 2024! We need your support there most of all, to make sure we hit our goals and can afford to make the best version of Eureka we can make!
Interested in branching out but can’t get your group to play anything but D&D5e? Join us at the A.N.I.M. TTRPG Book Club, where we nominate, vote on, and play indie TTRPGs, all organized by our team with no strict schedule requirement! Here's the invite link! See you there!

The oblex! An INCREDIBLY intelligent ooze made from mindflayer experimentation, again they'll stick thier tadpoles in anything. They absorb your memories, skills, personalities, languages, everything! They can Charm person or Detect Thoughts at will, and have domination and hypnotic pattern spells for extra fun. Even if they haven't eaten a person, just having copied thier memories is enough for them to recreate them, forming up to 13 creatures at once. So if you're up for a slimy 2-person orgy, this is for you! You might struggle to remember after, but you actually regain lost memories after a good night's sleep!
If you're wondering how a 5e original is so messed up and lore heavy and cool, it's because they didn't make it. This was a Make-a-Wish monster of Nolan Whale. This dying child's final wish was to give us a fucked up bodysnatcher ooze that devoured people and stole thier minds and forms, recreating them for its own goals. Truly a noble cause. Rest in Peace, if only you'd lived to bless this earth with more of these glorious creations.

Hug Slug – Tiny fey, unaligned
Like most recently discovered creatures arising from the deeper caverns, the hug slug displays an absorbing array of quirky qualities. This slowly gliding fey proceeds to raise its arms while producing an oddly squeaking symphony once getting close enough to its unsuspecting "prey". In fact, the hug slug shows absolutely no sign of ill will or aggression – the strange blend of helplessness and harmlessness rather invites to pity the whimpering creature. The actual intend of the hug slug is unknown; according to the rare documented encounters it simply seems to appreciate being carried around. Caution, however, is highly advised – the powerful slime the creeping critter secretes is said to be just as mysterious as itself.
🔮 If you like my work, kindly consider to support me on Patreon to gain access to monster pages, tokens & artwork of dozens of quirky creatures as well as potions and items based on the monsters’ lore.

Gray Jester Medium fey, neutral evil Armor Class 14 Hit Points 58 (9d8 + 18) Speed 50 ft. Str 10, Dex 19, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 11, Cha 17 Skills Acrobatics +6, Performance +5, Stealth +6 Damage Resistances bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks Senses darkvision 60 ft. passive Perception 10 Languages Common, Elven, Sylvan Challenge 4 (1100 XP) Actions Multiattack. The gray jester uses Empathic Feeding. It then makes two attacks with its scepter. Scepter. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6+4) bludgeoning damage plus 2 (1d4) psychic damage. If the target is a creature with an Intelligence score of 5 or greater, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or fall into fits of laughter and become incapacitated for 1 minute. An incapacitated creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of the each of its turns, and each time it takes damage, ending the effect on itself on a success. The target has advantage on the saving throw if it's triggered by damage. Empathic Feeding. The gray jester chooses up to three creatures within 30 feet of it with an Intelligence score of 5 or higher. Each of those creatures must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or take 7 (2d6) psychic damage. A creature reduced to 0 hit points by this effect is transformed into a bleak one under the gray jester's control, then that bleak one regains 10 hit points. A bleak one has the same statistics as the creature, except its Intelligence and Charisma are 1, and it is immune to psychic damage. A bleak one can be restored to the creature it was transformed from with a remove curse spell. The gray jester can have no more than twelve bleak ones under its control at one time.
These otherworldly fey feed on joy and laughter, though not to bring happiness to themselves, merely to feed an insatiable need to drain it from others. They prefer to target children, but any humanoids will do. They are always equipped with their scepter, and pearly white broken teeth shine from behind their lipless grin. They are almost entirely devoid of color. They will use their bleak ones (usually commoner or thug stat block) as bodyguards. Gray jesters stand around 6 feet tall and weigh around 110 lbs.
Originally from Heroes of Horror. A request from kingblackfire.
