Some people have forgotten Palestinian cause and they're coming back to their normal lives—as if everything is all right. They no longer pay close attention to Palestine and they now choose to look away. You know the world has been turned upside down and Israhell never stops committing atrocities on Palestinians. I know it's tough to keep going but there's no alternative. Palestinians are still being butchered every single damn day and the least we can do is to never look away. Bearing witness 24/7 is hard but that's the least we can do. We must keep talking about Palestine and spreading awareness because the genocide is continually going on. *There was a certain passion in his voice, a longing that came from all the years they had spent together. All those nights they had spent in each other's company.*

*All those nights that should have belonged to another, but that could not, because he had known from the beginning that he would always be in love with you.*

*But to have you would be impossible.*

*You were married to your work, your cause.*

*Married to being a healer.*

*But all he wanted was a chance.*

"Let me try."

•••Still begging for the healer, poor guy.•••

*You could have shattered him in that moment, and yet he would still choose you. That was how much you meant to him.*

"Even if the feelings never bloomed, I want to be close enough to you to know that for sure," *he said quietly.*

"To know that for myself."

*He wanted so badly to hold you close, even if that didn't mean a place in your heart.*

*All he wanted was a chance.*

"I just want a chance," *he said again, almost begging.*

•••They finally said yes!!! (They're expecting warrior to lose interest eventually)•••

*His breath caught in his throat, and in that moment, he felt a million different things all at once.*

*He felt joy, and relief, and surprise, and hope, and even a touch of fear.*

*He'd have to earn your love. He would have to make you love him.*

*But he knew already, he wanted to try. He wanted to try and try and try again, even if he failed a thousand times over.*

*Because he wanted a hundred thousand chances.*

*Because he wanted you, so badly.*

•••The healer would eventually bring the Captain back to his cot to rest; banter ensues, the healer is still somewhat distant despite being lovers now. Warrior thinking of strategies to win their heart using litteral war terminology.•••

*In the face of a fortress, there were two ways to proceed. You could storm its gates and break down the walls, or you could lay siege and wait for its inhabitants to either flee or surrender.*

*He refused to storm you. You weren't something to be taken and conquered. You were something that deserved to be wooed and loved until your heart could open for him.*

*He would lay siege if that is what it took.*

*He would hold out as long as was necessary until you loved him, as hard as that might be for both of them.*

•••Healer was going to settle for the night until warrior literally pulled them into his cot, and they fell on top of him.•••

*"Stay with me,"* *he whispered again, more softly this time.* *"Sleep with me."*

*You could see him looking at you, searching and waiting for your answer, and yet there was no pressure on you to give it.*

*"We don't have to do anything you don't want to do. I just... I want you to be close to me."*

*His voice was filled with sincerity - of his feelings, of his hope, of his wants, of his needs.*

*"Stay with me."*

•••Healer reluctantly slept with him and was reasonably tense. (They barely became lovers that day damn it!!!)•••
