i am begging if you have a kindle or use an ereader or read books online in any kind of way please go on libby and register with your local library (if you don’t have a library card, what a good excuse to see if you can sign up online for one or even take a trip!) to see their digital collection. i made a resolution to not buy as many books as i have these past few years and also to support my library more and it was so easy and i’ve already borrowed one book and have another on hold in like ten minutes.

I've seen some things (post comments, etc.) that make me want to reply, but I need manga panels for it. And they need to be licensed translations, not fan translations. So, I've been buying up a few more ereader editions that I was missing.

Therefore, if I have the ereader edition of something I need, I might get to some corresponding asks a bit sooner. No promises, though.

And someone suggested I do book haul videos when I unpack my manga/books. I might just do something like that, but not until I've moved and have my shelving in place... like July or something.

I KNOW LITERALLY IM GOING INSANE good omens was my number one main obsession like 3-4 years ago i was so insane about it literally every waking moment i spent thinking about it the only reason that hasn't been apparent Here on tumblr is bc i got an account riiight as my obsession was fading a bit and went dormant but the brainrot is back and im going insane. literally i watched good omens s1 around 15 times in total i did a school project on it (part of which was a presentation i did a whole presentation. at school. about this show) it made me so crazy. and now WE'RE BACK BAYBEEEE so far i have avoided most spoilers but some ppl have said the ending hurts and so im scared. but i also eat tragedy up lol why else would my header image be a stsg gif DFKHDGKJD;LJKG AAAAUGH i love good omens.

"There was no shortage of shadows in the night's Ghost Market. What little moon existed hid behind clouds every chance it could. The overall weather was perfect for those wishing to prey on the tourists: it was cool enough to keep cold hands in muffs, and away from vulnerable purses begging to be cut free.

People's breaths resembled the exhalation of phantasmagorias and added to a thickening mist. The atmosphere added a giddy thrill to the naïve out for a night of strange experiences. Their excitement spilled everywhere, redirecting notice from the more serious patrons who were snaking their way through the crowds to levels two, three, and beyond.

The young woman continued to swing back and forth on her swing, smiling and encouraging players to hit the target. Nothing was amiss, if anything the evening was a little mundane, until she saw a curious group step from the shadows beyond the guarded entrance and walk fully into the market.

Four men and one woman moved too casually past her, and she maneuvered her seat to get a better look. The older man limped, eyes darting left and right, arms tight to his sides, wary and protecting himself against pickpockets. She snorted, fat chance of that. He was probably seeking a new slave to amuse himself with, he had that look about him. He'd been here before, or someplace like here, she could tell. He was the type that condemned the unfortunate and then used them. She tried not to sneer.

The two young men close to him were so green she was sure she could plant carrots behind their ears. A kitten's spit and swat would no doubt set them off to flailing with their swords they were so wound up. Her sneer at them stopped when she spotted the two guards walking behind them.

The man and the woman were a different story. They knew exactly what their job was. What she observed was the perfect depiction of guards who did not want trouble from the locals and would not start it, but they would finish it if they had to."

🦇 How to Plot a Payback Book Review 🦇

❓ #QOTD What's your favorite sitcom? ❓ 🦇 Even after adjusting career paths and crossing an ocean, screenwriter Finn Masters just can't manage to escape his childhood nemesis. Now he has to work with her on the set of Neighbors, one of Hollywood's longest-running, highest-rated sitcoms. Shining star Lavender Rhodes is completely unaware that she ruined his relationship and destroyed his acting career, though there is something about Finn that keeps pulling her into his orbit. As Finn plots his payback, will he recognize why Lavender is so universally adored...and even fall a little himself?

💜 Melissa Ferguson's prose is sharp, witty, playful, and engaging all in one go. Once you fall into the story, there's no getting out until the end. What seems like a fun little romcom is actually brimming with important messages. As his plot to get payback fails over and OVER, Finn starts to see Lavender in a new light. This story is a prime example of how someone can play the villain in our stories, only for us to appear as a background character. The ending (pre-epilogue) was brilliant and sweet; proof of how much Finn has learned about Lavender once he truly got dragged into her orbit.

💙 While this is a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance, we don't actually FEEL the emotions bubble and boil over. It's difficult to develop any emotional connection with either main character. Maybe seeing every moment Lavender unintentionally ruined Finn's life as a flashback, instead of as a brief account from Finn, would have added that emotional depth. While this was a slow burn, the actual falling is so sudden that it feels out of place, only for readers to get whisked into a happily-ever-after epilogue. My biggest problem (you've heard this before) was everything related to the sitcom. My gf works in film and the inaccuracies pulled me out of the story every time (no set can survive with so FEW PAs).

Found another great book while browsing on my Kindle Fire's bookstore. I just started reading it yesterday and I am already hooked. The best part is the book is totally FREE! Thank goodness for Kindle Fire. It has a vast selection of books (many of which are free). My Kindle has served as my companion, especially while I'm on medical leave. It's been extremely helpful with taking my boredom away and keeping me somewhat sane during this time.
