On an abandoned Husktop, on a countertop in Hascha Demorks apartment someplace, where Verula Dentry had been spiraling for the better part of a month, lies an opened email inbox. A few of the emails are sign up responses for a variety of electronic services. Responses to questions of scholarly intrigue she had posted on several websites. But most, if not all, seem to come from a one General Faeria Longse, with an official, professional looking and sounding fleet email.

The tone in which the later ones refer to the woman, seem to be anything but. When she had read them, she had racked her brain for a moment she ever met this woman. She had wondered how or why she felt so comfortable using this disrespectful prose with her, how she had been found, how Faeria had deduced so much information about her.

It had not been that difficult for the general. Dentry had had the naive foolishness to set up her email in her real name, to be seen across social media posts made by Hascha.

Regardless, all the emails seem to refer to 'something' the general insisted she had for her. Later, in desperation, she had sent photos.

Meet me here, the stranger had insisted. And I will give them to you.

Blinded by grief and rage and lack of sleep, what choice had she had?

The laptop lays abandoned on the counter. As if she had stepped up and exited without closing it.

Practice 2 - Design Influences

When coming up with ideas, I realised that I haven’t got the time to do a full collection of pages for my character, and so I set my goals to have a good final image and character design, and create detail sheets later if I have time.

Taking inspiration from different artists and designers, I started designing my thumbnails:

As I was designing, I decided I wanted to create either a religious figure or a high ranking military figure, so I started using different silhouettes and creating a lot of structure in the garments, having the focus be on multiple places to show power, and creating large headdresses to inflict intimidation.

At this point I realised the importance of feedback and having other people look at my designs, and so after showing the other people in the class, I came to the decision to merge a couple of designs together, 7 and 11. 

Combining these designs created more details, but not too many it felt busy, and so I worked next on the headdresses. 

I have never designed headwear before, and I enjoyed the process, and realised that without something on this character’s head, she felt unfinished.

For the final design I have decided to once again merge two designs after some feedback, 2 and 4.

FAERIA

.I absolutely love the composition of this card, It is very good as u have the character in the foreground and the tree branch leads your eye towards strong light source in the middle then u pan out to all the colourful swirls.

.The art it’s self isn’t anything too special but is pretty clean and tidy, I love the effects used and the colour choices are very well chosen, they all work very well with each other.

.The border for the card is pretty cool and it breaks up the whole card into focus points, it even gives a sense of depth as u have these highlights on the edges

.The font of the text is very basic I don’t know how much I like it. But I do like how it’s kept very simple and short.

.The big heading is very aesthetic and makes it look like the card has some wait to it I love all the details in the stone. Plus the lighting of the card.
