Day Three: Starlight

“You’re taking Juvia camping? Just the two of you?” Lucy raised a knowing brow. The grin on her face was so smug that if she had been one of the guys, Gray would have punched it off her the moment her lips twitched and tugged at the corners.

Gray glowered at her as he ate his lunch. “How did you hear about that?”

Lucy took a sip from the cup of tea she had sitting on the table in front of her. “I overheard you asking Mira for recommendations on a good place to go stargazing.” She bit her lip and cocked brow. “Got something special planned?”

God, she was as annoying as the fire-breather and the blue-haired cat. “You spend too much time with Natsu.”

She huffed in reply.

Gray sighed and leaned across the table. “Do you – do you think she’ll like it? I already set everything up for us to camp under the starlight. I just have to bring her to the spot.”

“It’s very romantic,” Lucy sighed dreamily. “You’ve really come a long way. I’m proud of you.”

“Shut up!” Gray rolled his eyes, blushing.

“Seriously, Gray. I remember how you used to always push Juvia away, but now look at you, planning romantic dates. If Juvia wasn’t already madly in love with you, she would fall for you hard like this.”

“You think?”

Lucy nodded slowly, then took another sip of her tea. “Yeah, so… Is there any particular reason you’re planning this romantic camping trip?”

There was no getting past Lucy. Gray wet his lips and ran his hands through his hair. He was nervous. This was a huge, life-changing moment and while Gray knew that Juvia loved him, there was always the possibility that she would say no. “It’s too soon, right?” He was panicking. They hadn’t been together in a romantic fashion for very long, despite how long they had known one another.

“Too soon for what?” Lucy teased. “You haven’t told me anything.”

Gray pursed his lips and knit his brows together into a frown. “Do you think she’ll say yes if – if I ask her to marry me?”

“Well, considering the fact that she’s planning to have thirty-two babies with you, I think you’re safe.”

He grimaced. “That’s too many kids.”

“Try telling Juvia that,” she laughed.

If she said yes to his proposal, Gray would need to have a very serious conversation with Juvia about how many potential children they had in the future. He could barely wrap his mind around one child, let alone thirty-two.

“Go.” Lucy shooed him. “Go get your girl and head out on your date. I’ve known both of you long enough to know that there’s no way Juvia will be able to refuse a romantic starlit camping trip with the love of her life.”

You know, I find it incredibly funny that most villains get a backstory to show how tragic and sad and sympathetic they are. But the writers looked at Qiao Jin and went, "Oh, we can use his backstory to make him WORSE." In exchange, the Li twins got the brunt of the tragedy and man are they really going through it

#im trying to focus on the funny bits to distract from the pain #i KNEW the spoilers and i KNEW what was coming and it hurts #do the writers not want their audience to be happy????? #also i know some people thought the second season was oddly paced or not as good #and i think its just different from the more slice of life of s1 #and personally as an admitted shonen lover the fast pacedness of this season is great for me too #honestly i think ep 9 was my favourite with its three act structure (think i saw someone say it was chinese theatre tropes?) #it worked SO WELL because maybe its the revue starlight brainrot but theres SO much theatre imagery in the 2nd season #not to mention ep 9 perfectly summed up the donghua as a whole which is to say #past backstory + present consequences + fun folk/fairy tale #which is basically a story of what link click is all about i think #link click #note's notes #fandom spamdom #anyway im in so much pain and i know whats coming for ep 12 guys wish me luck....

She's related to Red Riding Hood, has costumes of Red Riding Hood, and she has ten hoodies in various shades of red. She's sapphic. She's autistic. She's a dog person. She's little beepo.

Technically this might be stretching it because she was casted into this play exactly once (though she has two cards dedicated to it due to the Encore cards). Anyways she always wears around a big red hood outside of this play but that's not directly based off of Little Red Riding hood from my knowledge so it doesn't matter much. What does matter is that Yuyuko keeps up her pattern of being casted in roles where her character either dies or suffers a lot (this one being the latter) in this play, though thankfully I'm not sure that she wrote herself into this narrative this time

Akazukin:

She can roller skate and has cool arm blade weapons. She's also a silly magical girl.

while i dont know much about akazukin chacha and otogi jushi akazukin, i want to encourage everyone to vote for them because [...] they're such cute magical girls!!!! Literally magical girls are the best and so underrated. Feel like besides for the classic Sailor Moon, nobody cares about magical girls unless they're in some way dark or fucked up. justice for the sweet, cute magical girls! [...]
