Help a queer with one brain cell recover from a car robbery

I'm not usually the type of person to ask for help but Ohio has really done a number on me. Literally not even two days after graduating from college, the DAY I moved to Canton, my car was broken into and all of my valuables stolen. And I do mean ALL of them; I had kept all my expensive, fragile belongings in my car because I didn't want them banging around in the moving truck.

So my computer, my monitor, my Switch, my Playstation, my games, my passport, my medications-- all of it gone. Around $4000 worth of stuff. Along with a number of sentimental items as well. I'm absolutely devastated and insurance will barely cover even half of what I've lost.

Right now, I'm just trying to get a new computer so that I can search for jobs and continue my art career. Anything will help, even just a reblog.

They don’t talk about it.

Not after Ava emerges from a shower that was far too cold and far too long. Not as they prepare dinner together, dancing and shifting around each other smoothly in the tiny kitchen. Not later that night, when Bea finishes her usual circuit of checking the door and windows are locked and all the lights are off and crawls into bed next to Ava. They don’t talk about it, about Bea’s hand in Ava’s hair and Bea’s breath against Ava’s lips, but when Bea rolls onto her side and reaches for Ava in the darkness, Ava goes willingly, curling herself into Bea’s arms without a word.

Ava’s behaving. She’s not pushing. But in the dark, in their bed, where they can each cry after a nightmare without judgement, the normal rules don’t apply. Ava loosens her self-imposed restriction on touching – not a ban, because she simply wouldn’t survive that, but an awareness of how much and how often – and Beatrice reaches for comfort more easily, loosens her grip on her composure in favour of solace.

They don’t talk about it in the morning either, but that’s less because they’re avoiding it and more because they both, once again, jerk awake to find Lilith glowering at them from the foot of their bed.

“Lilith, I swear to god…” Ava groans, turning to bury her head back into her pillow, only to realise that her pillow had been Bea’s shoulder, and Bea has moved out of range.

“I was invited this time. Beatrice asked for supplies,” Lilith says, innocent tone belied by the smirk that’s revealed when Bea flicks her bedside lamp on, because it’s early enough that it’s still dark outside.

“I meant for them to be delivered at a slightly less obnoxious time,” Bea says, frowning at Lilith as she props herself up on her elbows. She hadn’t gone for her knife this time, mostly because it took her long enough to disentangle herself from Ava that she’d had time to identify Lilith as the figure leering at them in the dark.

“I must have got my time zones mixed up.”

“We’re in the same fucking time zone, you—”

“Language.”

On October 7th, terrorists broke into their home in Kerem Shalom.

Amichai held the door to the safety room, protecting his wife and 6 little kids with his body. As the terrorists failed to open the door, they attached explosives to it.

Amichai's arms were cut by the explosion, and he was in the ICU for a long time, in critical condition. Thank G-d, he's now in recovery.

During that time, Avital and the kids (who've been evacuated from the destroyed home) also face many struggles.
