There was a teen in the cave.
A teen no one knows and looks like he could be a wayne, stands in the cave.
"Actually, I'm a wayne." He says with a shrug.
Bruce, Batman, carefully thinks of the implication.
"Not yet," The teen, Danny, doesn't say anything. Simple smiles. "You're not a wayne, yet. You will be. But not yet."
Then Bruce sighs, dropping the batman mask in order to take in the teen.
"Does future me know of the time travel?"
Dannys smile grows into a grin, deciding to take pity on the man. "You, grandbat, have..." He makes a vague gesture. "Theories, which none of your children ever confirmed."
The bat's mind short-circuits at the choice of words
Dick is sputtering incomprehensibly, there are Baffled expression all around.
Because.
Because that child isn't Bruce's, but one of theirs.
"Who is it?" Jason demands, hand clenching his gun uselessly.
Danny continues to smile, a hint of mischief now peeking out.
The cave is filled with theories, some yell, some sob, yet all eyes leave danny.
All but one pair.
She had known the moment his body language switched just enough for her to read.
She had known the moment he disappeared before the clan.
Had known when his hand found hers, shoulders bumping.
Her heart clenches, throat dry and memories of her childhood flooding to mind.
So she asks, voice soft and hesitant.
"Am I a good mother?"
And danny looks up at cass, adoration and pride laid out plain for her to see and accept.
"You're the best."
And so they both watch the clan together, silent and comfortable.
(Cass doesn't question when she finds him, how and why. All she knows is that she's more attentive when out on patrol, looking and waiting.)
(This is how Cassandra Cain-Wayne returns one night from patrol, a child, barely out of toddler stage and clinging to her form.)
(This is how the Batclan officially meets one Daniel James Cain-Wayne, freshly washed and clothed, a cookie in hand and hiding shyly behind Cass.)
(When they meet, all they say is "Welcome home, danny," and "Good to see you again.", Danny doesn't necessarily get it, but that's okay. Maybe his new mom will explain it one day when he's bigger.)

Note
I’ve noticed that there’s a severe lack of Wind Archer Cookie content on this blog, so here’s my pitch.
Y/N Cookie in the ‘Hidden Truth of the City’ story, trying to deal with Night Raven trying to kill Churro and The Cookiemals and trying to take them to Sugar Swan knows where-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Y/N Cookie blocked the arrow!”
That was TOO close of a call. You had drew your blade at the nick of time to deflect a shadowed arrow aimed the Cookiemals, looking over at the culprit…
Tumblr media
Wind Archer Cookie, or what you had now decidedly to call him in your head, the Night Raven..
“Darkness shall rule all…even to the most pure…”
Was it…so your suspicions were true then. You told the Cookiemals and Churro Cookie to go, you’ll hold off Wind Archer Cookie.
Tumblr media
“No! Y/N Cookie, get behind me. My gauntlet will ward off all evil!”
“We’re not going leave you, Y/N Cookie!”
You had to tell them that you weren’t in any immediate danger, Wind Archer Cookie was here to bring darkness to this place, but he was also here for you.
“Join the Darkness, pure one…please do not deny the Darkness…”
“They will not go to you!”
The Night Raven shot many arrows, you and Churro doing your best to avoid or deflect them all.
It was getting too dangerous for you to handle when an arrow managed to hit the weapon out of your hand, winding you a bit.
“Embrace the Darkness with me…”
You yelled out for him to let you go when he suddenly flew right at you, hugging you tight and trying to fly off with you!
He retreated back when both the Cookiemals and Churro Cookie came to your rescue! You gave them your thanks…
Tumblr media
“Right?! We’re awesome!”
Hehe, yeah. They were pretty awesome.
“Give me strength, Great Tree…”
“The scarlet poison gives me strength!”
Churro Cookie brought you right back to the direness of the situation, you tried looking around to give you an idea. Something!
He said scarlet poison…wait a minute, the throne! The pomegranate seeds! You called out the seeds on the throne to Churro Cookie! Wind Archer and those seeds might be connected!
“Come to me, pure one…”
Tumblr media
“Great Wind…what has transpired with you? If the Sacred One is not responsible for spreading the pomegranate, that means you too are innocent…”
“I will cleanse the Darkness from within you!”
“The throne! Darkness must be purged from these grounds!”
Churro Cookie and his gauntlets started to glow once more, Wind Archer drew his bow and got to close range with Churro. You rushed in to help after getting your weapon, and the Cookiemals seemed to have had the same idea!
“Great Tree, hear my prayer…May your Millennial light shine within me!”
Tumblr media
“The pomegranate seeds are melting away!”
Buttershell Fox was right, and the shadows were even going away from Wind Archer too!
Wind Archer got on his hands and knees, the darkness leaving him as he returned to normal…
Tumblr media
“Wind Archer Cookie! Are you okay?”
“You…? The Cookiemals?”
“Your memory is back! We missed you!”
Wind Archer Cookie…
Wind Archer tensed up at hearing you calling his name, an expression of shock when he spots you there with the Cookiemals.
“Y-Y/N Cookie! I…ugh!”
You hurried to Wind Archer as he tried to go to you, but winced in pain at making a sudden move! You told him to take it easy!
“Y/N Cookie…please forgive me. The influence of the Darkness, it was too strong…”
Wind Archer Cookie…
He faced you as you say his name again, before you gave him a playful look.
He was such a silly cookie, hehe!
He was completely taken aback by your lighthearted answer, but..he couldn’t help but softly laugh himself. Then the Cookiemals joined in on the laughing.
Tumblr media
Churro Cookie looked on at the display, unable to stop the slight smile on his face. You still carried your chipper attitude even after having to fight the Great Wind just a minute ago…
He’s starting to see what the Great Wind and the Great Tree were talking about you…
Your soul…may very well be the brightest he’s ever seen…
———————————————————————
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Pffft! Ha! I told you so. I’d knew you’d fail!”
“Fail? My plan to lure and corrupt Wind Archer Cookie succeeded”
“But wasn’t there another plan you had? Hm?”
“Those meddling Cookiemals and Churro Cookie, were it not for them…”
“Face it! I’m going to be the one to get Y/N Cookie first! I have my Licorice Servants to help me carry out MY plan!”
“I will not allow those foolish ragdolls anywhere near them..”
“H-Hey! They’re not rag toys?! I’m just waiting for the perfect moment to make Y/N Cookie mine! Dark Enchantress Cookie will be over the moon and I’ll get first dibs!”
“Hmph! Matters with Y/N Cookie are assigned to me anyway. You’re welcome to try. The next phase of the plan is imminen, we must inform the Master at once!”
“Not if I inform her first!”
Pomegranate Cookie only looked on in annoyance as Licorice Cookie hurried away.
She looked behind her through the trees, seeing you laughing, enjoying yourself as you hung out with the cookies in the village.
She sighed…longingly as she pulled out her mirror and reflected it towards you, a faint glow emanating all around you.
“One day…you will join the Darkness, Y/N Cookie. When you do, I will be the first to welcome you with my embrace…”

Overprotective Bat (Part 2)
Part 1
Summary: Azriel has to apologise for being mean. He hates it.
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: i got nothin to say except 🥹🥹🥹
Enjoy!
•○🌑○•
Azriel clutched the tiny hand of his daughter in his, wishing more than ever that he could melt into the ground.
He was more than ready to just vanish into thin air, but the glaring eyes that burned the back of his neck made it impossible to even move his little finger.
The front door of the small, cozy home opened, a head peeking out. The female's eyes widened, taking in the menacing form of the shadowsinger.
"Y-yes? How can I help you?"
"I..." Azriel glanced back at his wife for help, pleading silently. She simply shrugged. With a sigh, Azriel turned back to the female in the doorway, wondering what to say when Hazel spoke up.
"Hello! I am Kaden's friend, Hazel! I made him some cookies!"
The female smiled at Hazel, opening the door wide. "So you are Hazel huh. Kaden's told me all about you sweetheart. I'm Penelope, you can call me Penny. Kaden is playing in his room, why don't you come in?"
Hazel nodded happily, bouncing on the balls of her feet before she followed the female in. Y/n entered after, throwing a warning glance at Azriel.
"Oh for fuck's sake.." Azriel mumbled under his breath, wondering if he could run away now that Y/n was not watching.
One glance at Y/n's retreating form told Azriel he was not going to be saved today.
With a sigh, he tucked in his wings and squeezed himself through the small door, walking in and settling in next to Y/n on the couch Penelope had gestured to before vanishing up the stairs to inform her son of their arrival.
Hazel grinned up at her father, excited to reunite with her friend, unknowing that he was the reason Kaden had stopped talking to her.
Soft steps ran down the stairs, and a moment later, the blonde head of the little boy appeared in the doorway, a huge smile on his face.
"Hazel!" He squealed, taking a step towards her before he paused, his eyes going wide when he realised that the broody spymaster was again staring at him.
His lower lip quivered, and he took a step back and hid his face in his mother's skirt. She looked up at Azriel and Y/n in confusion, her brows knitted.
"I'm sorry, he isn't this shy usually." The female tried to tug on the boy's shoulder, trying to make him look at her to no avail. "Kaden, what is it my boy?"
He sniffled, shaking his head, and Y/n nudged Azriel's side.
Azriel glanced at his daughter, who was twisting her hands nervously in her lap before blowing out a tight breath through his nose and opening his mouth.
"Kaden? Hazel made you some cookies. Here, try them." Azriel grabbed the box of sweets from his shadows, opening the lid and showing it to the boy who was peeking at him.
Kaden stared at the cookies, his sniffles quieting. He glanced up at Azriel, the Y/n and his mother, both who gave him encouraging nods. He slowly made his way over to Azriel, timidly reaching out for the box.
He pulled a cookie out, glancing at Azriel. The spymaster, feeling guilty, offered small smile to the boy, who immediately relaxed.
"Thank you." He turned to hazel, his previous tears forgotten as he mumbled something about toys and games.
Hazel went to grab Kaden's hand, and then the both of them ran away and up to his room.
Azriel glanced at Y/n from the corner of his eyes, who was all smiles as she followed Penelope into the kitchen.
Azriel leaned back into the couch, wondering how he, a spymaster, had to apologise to a little boy.
And he felt absolutely pathetic for being upset over something so trivial.
•○🌑○•
Y/n's pov.
She had been talking to Penelope for over two hours before Azriel declared he was tired, having become fast friends and bonding over their love for baking and cooking. Y/n was pleasantly surprised to find out that Penelope was a chef at one of the restaurants next to the Sidra.
When Y/n had told Penelope the real reason for their visit, Penelope had nearly died laughing.
"So let me get this straight," Penny huffed between bouts of laughter, "You somehow got your husband, the spymaster of the court, to come apologise to a little boy?"
Y/n grinned. "Yes."
Penny giggled again. "Oh I can't wait for Berald to find out that his son created such chaos."
Hazel was currently snoozing on her father's shoulder as he and Y/n walked home, promising a sleepy Kaden that Hazel would come to play again soon enough, much to Azriel's displeasure.
"Azzie?" Y/n mumbled as the two of them entered their home, his silence becoming unbearable.
"Hmm?"
Azriel glanced at Y/n for a moment, then turned back to his daughter as he gently set her sleeping form on the couch.
"Kaden is a child, you know that right?"
He sighed, his hand brushing over Hazel's forehead. "I do."
"You also know that he can't hurt Hazel?"
He sighed again, frustrated. "You can't blame me for trying to keep her safe." He mumbled, his voice small.
Y/n's shoulders slumped in understanding, and after a moment of staring at her husband and daughter, she walked over to the two people that were her world and settled down next to Azriel where he kneeled on the ground, his eyes soft and worried as he stared at his princess. "Azriel, no one can hurt Hazel as long as you live. I'm sure of it."
Az's eyes did not budge from where they rested on Hazel's sweet little face, but Y/n watched as they hardened.
"You're right. No one will ever hurt my princess while I'm alive. So no more boys-"
"Oh for fucks sake Azriel-"
"You said I would keep her safe!-"
"You can't stop her from interacting with every human being-"
"But-"
"Shut up!" Azriel pouted, wrapping his arms across his chest, the action reminding Y/n of Hazel. "Shut up. You can't isolate her Azriel, it will not be good for her mind and growth. You understand me?"
Azriel grumbled but stayed quiet as Y/n climbed to her feet, glaring at him until he nodded. Then, after a moment of staring him down until he started squirming, Y/n pulled him in for a hug, hoping that his worries wouldn't hurt Hazel.
Because if they did, she knew Azriel would not be able to live with himself.
He had too many insecurities as it was, he didn't need more.
•○🌑○•
Sometime in the future.
Y/n knew Azriel would get emotional, and she had bet with Nesta that he would cry.
And she was so very happy for that as she had just won. The look on Nesta's face was as priceless as the trip to the bookstore Nesta had promised her.
But right now, Y/n had no time to jump around happily, so she hastily turned back to the altar, where stood Hazel in a white wedding dress and Kaden in a dark blue suit, staring at each other with tears streaming down their faces as the priestess read the vows to bind them together.
"I knew he was trouble the moment I saw him." Azriel mumbled quietly, though the quiet joy shining in his eyes and emanating from his side was at odds with the statement.
"You know he would never hurt Hazel, right?"
He laughed quietly. "You can' blame me for trying to keep her safe."
Y/n smiled knowing he too was thinking of their conversation fifty years ago. "Yeah well, now you can stop. She now has Kaden, who will die to keep her safe and happy. Nothing you need to worry about now, old male."
The small smile on Azriel's face didn't waver as he whispered. "I'm not old, you hag."
Y/n rolled her eyes, turning back to the altar, where Kaden now leaned in to kiss Hazel. "Sure. It's not like I hear your joints cracking whenever you move."
Y/n had never seen him this happy ever before, knowing his little girl was happy.
Azriel reached out to hold her hand as the two of them watched their daughter, as they realised she was now all grown up.

Dating König
✎: My third blog already!!! (Thank you all so much for the previous notes on my Chris McLean blog LMAO)
♡Summary: Wholesome head cannons of dating König💕!!!
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆
Bf!König dreaded shopping; but when it came to shopping with you? He’s down. He'd show he valued spending time together - being with you felt like a melody of heartbeats, each beat echoing his love. And since taking your sweet time, inspecting every cute item you saw, König would be exhausted after hours of consecutive shopping.
And still, he would do it all with a smile to make you smile. The worth-it part of it all to him was the astonishing Haul's he received after. From you trying on short skin-tight dresses, to matching onesies... He truly enjoyed it all, mostly for you. Aside from his complete oblivion to fashion or anything of that sort - he'd pretend for you.
Bf!König would reserve a table for you both at a nostalgic fast-food joint. When your meals were served to you - You could distinctly remember him asking for no pickles on his burger, yet they ended up being there.
"It's fine, I'll just take them out." He tried to reason with you because he knew how far you were willing to go over this for him; even if it was as minor as being over a pickle. You were a
"Excuse me, he asked for no pickles." Girlfriend, he was the reserved boyfriend who would awkwardly watch. At least you got a refund and a newly made burger for him. (He low-key loves it when you stand up for him, though).
Bf!König adored it when you cooked for him, he loved your meals and appreciated the time you spent making them. They were his happy place, he was a 'love goes through the stomach' kind of guy. "Danke, meine Liebe, du behandelst mich so gut." (Thank you, my love, you treat me so well.)
So you often teach König how to bake, cook, stir fry... all the basics. Most of your inside jokes were born from your failures, especially baking. You guys baked cookies this one time, they had increased in size tenfold. It was a giant cookie circle to put it simply. Every time you baked cookies, the 'Cookie Monster' joke would be repeated countless times.
Bf!König couldn't stand long separations, so you swapped pieces of clothing to keep each other's scents close. You wore his shirt (which looked like a baggy short dress on your figure), and you gave him a custom-made black bracelet and hair ties. As well as an oversized hoodie that looked normal on him.
Bf!König wasn't a morning person, at all. He would still routinely send you good morning texts that made you smile from ear to ear every time you received them.
"Guten Morgen, mein Liebling. Hope you slept well and dreamt of us. Sending u hugs and kisses"
"Guten Morgen, Liebling. Sending u extra ❤️ and virtual hugs to start your day off right. Ich vermisse dich"
Bf!König dealt with the spiders around the house for you, whenever he heard you unexpectedly screech, gasp, or gush "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." He knew what he had to do.
"See? They're harmless." He quipped as he guided them outside with the plate and glass combo.
"No, it was about to kill me! What if it bit me," you mindlessly blurted whilst rushing back and forth.
"Then you'd be Spider Woman, no? You'd fit perfectly being a badass superhero."
Bf!König shared a secret stash of snacks that you hide from everyone else and enjoy together during movie nights. When you fell asleep mid-movie, he carried you back to your room bridal style without disturbing you.
"Good night, meine Leibe." He silently muttered before gently planting a kiss on your head.
Bf!König Was perplexed whenever you held up two obscurely different eye shadows up to him, and asked him which one he preferred. To him, they appeared identical. But for you, one was a vibrant lavender, a touch too saturated, while the other, was a soft violet, more versatile for various outfits.
"Aren't they ... the same colour?"
"Excuse moi?!"
Bf!König Let you do his skincare. Though skincare was another thing he was completely oblivious to, he mildly enjoyed it. All he did was rinse his face with tap water, apply lotion and called it a night. On the other hand, your routine was the definition of intricate. And so before movie night, you used cleanser, face masks, serums, moisturisers and all that good stuff on him.

I have a request: How about Shadow Milk Cookie with a reader who makes a play for him? Could be a play about him, reader's adventures or anything else in general, you decide!
This is a whole fic omg
Shadow Milk Cookie has always been doing plays for you on his stage, so you thought it would be nice if you did one yourself and showed it to him. You went to the little craft store 10 blocks away from your house. When you got there, you looked around for a bit and saw so much crafting material. You didn’t need much though, so you left with some cardboard, color paper, markers, and other fancy stuff for cool effects.
Once you get back you immediately speed walk into your room. You plan on making this a surprise for him. You wrote down on paper a whole script on things he might enjoy. You cut out cardboard, glued paper together, and worked as hard as you could being as precise as possible. In the end you had a cardboard stage and a bunch of paper figures. You sighed and looked at your work “I wonder if my acting skills are any good….”
Now that everything was ready and you memorized the script, you began setting everything up and waited for his arrival. When he did show up he was so excited. When he heard that you made a play just for HIM?? He wasn’t used to it, since he was always the one putting on a show. He felt much appreciated.
You told him to sit in front of your mini cardboard stage while you get everything else ready. While he was waiting for you he stared at your set up. He giggled a little to himself. He thought it was adorable how much effort you put into the props.
When you came back you sat behind your cardboard stage and started your play
“This is a story about an ordinary cookie but little did you know their life was gonna take a whole different turn!”
The story goes one day a cookie named y/n decided to be a bit more adventurous than they normally are. They decided to go explore the dark forest, for they heard rumors of big beasts and strange creatures that roam the dark land. However this cookie wasn’t truly aware of the extreme dangers of the forest. “This forest is pretty. I should explore this place more often!”
(Imagine during the play you lean on the cardboard stage a bit too much and it ends up flopping onto the ground. You're looking straight at him while he’s laughing his ass off)
The clueless cookie ended up going deeper into the forest, more than they should have. They didn’t notice a group of spores trailing close behind. Luckily someone had pulled them aside. Looking at who grabbed them it was none other than Shadow Milk Cookie! “What is a cookie like you walking around this forest? Don’t you know how dangerous it is here, have you not heard of the rumors?”
Before the cookie could respond back to him they both got attacked by a group of spores. He quickly pulled them behind him and started defending against them, getting a good strike on them every so now and then. He then grabbed the cookie’s arm and ran past them as fast as possible. Eventually they ended up near the end of the first, safe from any other creatures. “Omg when I heard of the rumors I didn’t believe they were true”
The End.
You ended your quick story and took a peek behind your stage to see if he actually enjoyed or was disappointed. You saw him with a big old smile and cheering and clapping for you saying how amazing you did. You stood up and bowed like what he would do. He ran up to you and gave you a big squeeze. “You know? Me and you should start doing plays together! Wouldn’t that be fun?”
–bonus shadow milk’s reactions during your play–
He was most likely silently laughing at your bad impression of him and the funny movements you gave the paper puppets.
You did make some noticeable mistake during your play like forgetting the script and forgetting which puppet you were holding, which he found hilarious
Other than that he genuinely thinks you did amazing and praises you for your creativity telling you “You’re almost as good as me!”

Interlude: Six Becomes Five
Prologue | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Tumblr media
The gentle crackle of the fire, admist the soft crickets chirping, was all the noise coming from the camp. Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, and Carameleon Cookie were all sleeping soundly, light snores coming from them.
Nearby, you rested with White Lily Cookie nearby, soft breath coming from your mouth.
Pure Vanilla Cookie sat in front of the fire, staring at it with an unreadable expression in his face. Wind gently blowed and rustled his hair for a moment, not held down by his hat. That and his staff rested on the tree near you.
Pure Vanilla Cookie didn't know what to think now that things had truly settled down.
He still felt.. lied to, in a sense. Not by you, or White Lily Cookie, but by Shadow Milk Cookie. The taunts and lies of the Cookie still swirled in his mind like toxic waste, gripping at him and drowning him.
That.. and he couldn't get your look out of his mind. The expression on your face when Shadow Milk Cookie had slammed you against a wall. The look of horror, shock, and terror before you fell unconscious.
It made him feel sick. The healing spells he desperately tried to cast before Shadow Milk Cookie chased them off still made him feel lightheaded.
He looked at his trembling hands. He exhaled shakily, clenching them.
Are you awake still?
He jolted at the sound of the Light of Compassion. "Ah!" He then exhaled to calm himself and his trembling. "C-Compassion. You surprised me."
Don't try and lie. I'm a part of you currently, Pure Vanilla Cookie.
Pure Vanilla Cookie paused before he pulled his knees to his chest. "I can't get their face out of my mind." He swallowed thickly. "How they looked when they slammed into that wall, I.." His hands came up to run through his hair. "I thought Shadow Milk Cookie had crumbled them."
Primordials are far harder to kill than your mind allows you to realize.
Pure Vanilla Cookie gave a small nod, but he was still trembling. He was too far in his own thoughts to even notice the footsteps coming from behind him. He only noticed when the figure sat beside him - it was you.
"You're awake still?" You asked, frowning. "Did something happen?"
Pure Vanilla Cookie chuckled softly. "If something did happen, you would be the first to realize, my friend."
Tumblr media
"Friend," you repeated. "Friend, friend, friend." Pure Vanilla Cookie blinked, confused as he watched you repeat those words. "Are we really still friends?"
His cheeks turned a shade darker. "What do you mean..?"
"I mean, I shared the Light of Compassion with you, I saved your life, you saved mine, and just.." You looked at him, frowning softly. "Does that.. seem like something just friends would do?"
Pure Vanilla Cookie glanced away, resting his hand over his mouth. He chuckled softly. "Hm.. to some, maybe." He then smiled at you. "But I'm guessing that you want to be something more?"
You grinned. "How'd you guess?"
He hummed, opening his eyes to look at you. "Just a hunch, it seems."
With a soft laugh, you gently grabbed his hand and kissed the back of it. Then you looked up at him, then his mouth. "May I?"
His blush darkened. "Of course."
You moved forward and kissed him, the both of you closing your eyes. Pure Vanilla Cookie felt his body relax, resting his hands on your shoulders. After a few more moments, you both broke apart, small breaths escaping the both of you.
You kissed his head. "I love you, Pure Vanilla Cookie."
He smiled. "I love you too, Sparkling Joy Cookie."

AN: So, I actually... haven't... played the new update... SO I DONT REALLY KNOW THE LORE THAT WELL. I did a quick Google search and I think I got it? And I know what the seals are ☆ ALSO, I KNOW THAT THE SEALS DONT ACTUALLY DO THIS, BUT LETS JUST PRETEND FOR THE PLOT. Anyway, I decided on some small angst. (But if you want a fluffier version, just request it. I wont be mad or annoyed or anything like that bc I seriously would love to make a fluffier version of this plot!!)
Tumblr media
Shadow Milk Cookie x GN! Beast reader. ONESHOT.
Warnings: Slight angst, possession
-Same-
It's been an awful long time since you were last awake. Did this even count as sleeping? Does being sealed away count as being asleep?
"Heyy. Wakey wakey!"
Who's voice is that? It sounds familiar.
"Come on, doll! You're making me worried.."
They sound upset. Wait, why are there voices?
"You are alive.. right? You didn't crumble away?"
I think I'm free...
You would flutter your eyes open. Everything was blurry, and your head hurt. Somebody was poking your face, but their hands were cold. Not the most welcoming of scenes, but whatever.
"Oh, so you are alive! That's a relief. I don't know what I'd do without you!" The person was leaning over you, and they held a big smile.
They seem familiar... but who are they?
You would smack their face away from yours and back away from them.
"Ow! Don't you know hitting your lover is mean?" The cookie would put a hand on his face while glaring at you.
What did he just say?
"Lover?"
The cookies face would turn sulen.
"Yeah... You remember me, right?"
...
Nobody said a word.
"Doll, I'm all for jokes, but this isn't funny."
He would just stare at you for a while with an annoyed expression before his face suddenly perks up into a smile.
"Oh I see, you're just confused! It must have been confusing awaking from such a long nap. Here, why don't we go on a walk to clear your mind?" The cookie would take your hand and start taking you for a walk. He didn't wait for your input.
"No, you don't understand. I have no recollection of you."
He'd only hum while cheerfully walking.
"I don't even know your name."
"Yes you do~" he would chime, still wearing that deranged smile.
"I do not-" you would snatch your hand out from his grasp and stop walking.
"..." He wouldn't say anything to you, only stare at the ground. His smile feel instantly in that moment.
"You really don't remeber... do you?" He asked you, not bothering to turn towards you.
"I don't."
He sighed before finnaly facing his body towards yours, though, he just couldn't bring himself to meet your gaze.
"Shadow Milk Cookie. That's my name. We used to be close but.." he paused before sighing. "I guess you forgot about all us!" He would have a crazed smile on his face.
"Look, I'm sorry that I don't remeber you, but there really isn't anything I can do about it,"
Shadow Milk would laugh before finnaly meeting your eyes. He would stare deeply into your eyes, that smile never leaving his face.
"Oh, but there is! Don't worry, dove, I'll make sure you remeber. Just stay still..." He would take one of your hands and begun to spin you around.
"Hey! what are you-" Shadow Milk would stop spinning you and put a finger over your mouth, shushing you.
"It's okay doll, I'll take care of you. Just let me guide you, all right?" He gave you an annoying grin, to which you glared at, but ultimately said nothing to.
"Ah yes, this is how I remeber it. You always were so obedient." He would step behind you and place both of his hands on your shoulders.
"You may not remeber me, but I remember everything about you," he would whisper into your ear.
You'd tense up, feeling his breath on your neck.
"Yeah, this is how you would always react. You really haven't changed..."
Shadow Milk Cookie would step back infront of you and trace his cold fingers along your facial features.
"And your face is the same as well." He had a ore faraway look in his eyes, as if he were reliving some other moment. He never let his smile falter though.
"Shadow Milk... were we really close?" You would ask him.
He couldn't help but snicker.
"Oh yes, soooo close."
"..."
"Want me to show you how close?" He held onto your chin, making you look towards him.
"Your answer doesn't really matter. I would have done this anyway."
Shadow Milk closed his eyes and pressed his lips against yours. It was a short kiss, but one full of longing.
"You have no idea how much I've been craving you. It was torture being away from you for so long. You can't expect me to let you go just because you forgot some things~"
A twinge of pink would dash your cheeks from the prior kiss. It should have felt forced and strange yet... there was a feeling of familiarity that made it feel nice.
"Oh how I've missed your cute, silly, blushing faces! There must have been a part of you that liked it then! Maybe I can make you remeber after all."
Shadow Milk would hold onto your wrist and begin walking with you again.
He held that psychotic smile once more while staring into your eyes.
"But even if I can't make you remember, I certainly won't allow you to forget."

Oh I have an idea with related to the sequel to Yandere Shadow Milk Cookie with the power of Hypnotism
In general, after defeating Shadow Milk Cookie
T/N Cookie and his friends are coming home
After that, T/N Cookie hears some voices calling you, it's the Shadow Milk cookie that sealed it
Pure Vanilla Cookie arrives and asks if she's okay.
Answered fine. Pure Vanilla was going to visit friends.
Night came, and they all went to bed, and T/N Cookie also
In her dream, she had blue eyes that reminded her of the Shadow Milk Cookie
Shadow Milk cookie wanted it to be all mine, after that stares the hypnotic eyes of the Shadow Milk Cookie.
I hope you enjoy the milkshake. Ah yes the ptsd part of having a yandere 😌
The after effects of Yandere Shadow Milk Cookie
-platonic or romantic insinuation-
!TW! Under the cut are themes like trauma, wanting someone dead and possessiveness (the last two happen at the end)
First part
After the what happened at the faerie kingdom, you and Pure Vanilla decided to head back to the Vanilla Kingdom, you trusted Gingerbrave and his friends could handle themselves
The trip back was tense, you and Pure Vanilla didn’t talk that much.
But once you two got back you started to talk again
It was clear something happened to you to while you were gone and the radon villagers were worried
So they decided to try and cheer you and Pure Vanilla up by making you some raisin bread!
You both appreciated the gesture
But once you got back to your room in the Vanilla castle you lied down on your bed and just looked up at the ceiling.
The world was slightly spinning… probably an after effect of your reality getting morphed right in front of your eyes…
But something took you out of your peaceful trance.
Laughter
His laughter
You instinctively grabbed a pillow and threw it at the direction you heard his laughter
But nothing. The pillow just hit the wall with a soft thud.
After a minute you heard a knock on your door, you got up and opened it. Pure Vanilla was there
“Y/N Cookie are you alright? I thought I should check on you after what happened”
You didn’t admit it but you were relieved to hear his voice but you told him that you were fine just shaken up, you asked his he was holding up as well
“Oh well I’m still a little shocked at what happened… but I think I just need a little time”
You nodded, as Pure Vanilla bided a goodbye
You were alone again…
Later that night in your slumber… you had a dream… no not a dream… a nightmare
Laughter was all you could hear, your body was tied up by blue strings wrapped around you limbs, making you move like a puppet
But the most notable thing was his eyes
You couldn’t look away from them, they were hypnotic
But your last straw was his voice…
“Welcome back dear!~”
You jolted awake. It was just a nightmare… thank goodness…
You heard a knock on your door though… strange it was the middle of the night…
You got up and opened the door to once again be greeted by Pure Vanilla
“Y/N Cookie, I’m sorry to be bothering you this late but I was coming back from my study and I heard a commotion… is everything alright?”
You usually wouldn’t tell people about your nightmares… but Pure Vanilla went through something similar…
You told him to come in as you sat on the bed, Pure Vanilla joining you
You started to talk about your nightmare, describing everything you could remember. Pure Vanilla just listened to you and once you were done gave you the comfort you needed
It was nice to have some who could some what relate to you…
Shadow Milk cookie watched on as you told Pure Vanilla about the nightmare you had… if only Shadow Milk could have actually been in your sweet dreams…
But when Pure Vanilla started to comfort you…. His blood boiled…
THAT should be HIM not some WANNABE POSER
Oh if Shadow Milk could communicate with Pure Vanilla he would be screaming at him
But when you hugged Pure Vanilla once he was done comforting you.. he wanted to make Pure Vanilla in to a pile of crumbs… no… not crumbs…. DUST
But Shadow Milk could only watch as you and Pure Vanilla talked…

thinking about how my oc and shadow milk cookie (before his fall) would first end up meeting.
this ended up turning out as a small fic??? Oh! And shadow milk cookie will be called light milk cookie in this :)
Also here's how I see Shadow Milk Cookie's design! Follow this artist, I'm begging ya'll 🙏💖
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clam Cookie fell sick to a mysterious illness in her early adult years. Her parents called for the best doctors/healers near them, but no one could figure out a cure. Both being desperate, not wanting their only beloved daughter to die, eventually sought the help of one of the five great cookies, the virtue of knowledge, Light Milk Cookie.
Light Milk Cookie agreed to find a cure, feeling compassion for her parents and for her. Sadly, with how far away his kingdom was from her home, he had to take her with him. So, with hushed goodbyes and tears in their eyes, the two parents watched as the carriage carried their daughter to a faraway kingdom.
And so, the great hero worked day and night to find a cure for the young lady. Thanks to her parents, he found out about the herbs and medicines the other doctors had tried on using. With this information, he would mix or replace specific ingredients for each medicine he would make. One particular medicine he made ended up showing some effect, but it still wasn't enough to cure her fully.
Then he had an idea. An absolute ambitious idea.
Perhaps, with some of his soul jam's essence and a mixture of the medicine, perhaps that could be the cure to her illness? Wasting no time, he hurried on making the new version. Once finished and given to her, he waited to see any changes.
As days went by, signs of the medicine healing her gained his attention. The new version was fully curing her! Relief and fatigue filled his entire body. He had gone a few nights and days without sleeping. At last, all his hard work had come to fruition.
Opening her eyes for the first time, Clam Cookie weakly sat up from bed. Groaning at the uncomfortable feeling of her dry throat, she looked around and noticed a glass of water on the desk next to her. Quickly taking it and gulping the refreshing liquid down, she took in her surroundings.
The colors of purple, blue, and white filled the room she was in. Shelves filled to the brim with books, tapestries dedicated to five certain cookies hung on the walls, and the desk near her had a few scrolls laying upon it.
She jumped at the sound of the door opening. She felt her heart race and her face turning warm as the most beautiful cookie she's ever seen in her life walked into the room. His entire look screamed of a sophisticated scholar. However, she knew he was far more than that as she took in more of his features. What took her attention the most was his hair. It flowed constantly, like that of an endless stream.
Next were his eyes. The dark bags underneath them from the lack of sleep were noticeable to her, but even so, they shined like that of two beautiful sapphires being held up in the sunlight.
Light Milk Cookie stood frozen in place. The look of surprise was written all over his face. This was the first time he had seen her eyes, and by the witches, they were absolutely mesmerizing!
Her eyes were the darkest blue, like that of the deep blue ocean. Her long, unkempt hair, which hung loosely behind her back in waves, only made her even more beautiful.
Both were at a loss of words. Neither one of them was able to speak as they studied each other. Clearing her throat, she finally spoke, "W-who are you? Where am I?" Snapping out of his trance, Light Milk Cookie gave her a gentle smile before closing the door.
"Please, have no fear, Clam Cookie. I only came in to check on you." He proceeded to walk closer to her, but stopped once he noticed her flinch. He raised up both his hands, signaling to her that he meant no harm.
"I only want to check if you still have a fever," he spoke softly at her. His tone easily taking away any tension she may have had of him.
"You've been sick for many weeks. This is the first time I've seen you fully awake." Now standing next to her, he gently placed a cool hand on her forehead. He paid no mind to her gasp, only taking note of her fever no longer there.
Humming in approval, he took his hand off and stepped back. With a wave of his hand, he summoned a scroll and a feathered quill pen, jotting down notes of her improved condition.
Clam Cookie looked at the display of magic in awe, her eyes shining as she watched the handsome scholar write.
"I will have to inform your parents about this, but you'll have to stay with me for just a few more days. I need to make sure the symptoms don't return." Looking back at her, he covered his mouth, chuckling at her reaction.
"I'm going to assume you've never seen magic before, yes?"
Clam Cookie shook her head, confirming his question. "I-I've only heard tales and stories of cookies being able to wield magic. I knew they were true, but to actually see it happen in front of me…" Light Milk Cookie couldn't help but blush as her eyes sparkled up at him with absolute admiration.
".. It's absolutely breathtaking."
One would assume her words were aimed directly at his display of magic, but with the way she gazed at him with those eyes, he knew those words were meant for him.
Clearing his throat, he set the scroll and quill down on the desk before turning his attention back to her. He gave her a bow, surprising her from the action.
"Forgive me, Clam Cookie. I haven't fully introduced myself. My name is Light Milk Cookie." he raised his head, gracing her with a charming smile that made her heart skip a beat.
"Though, you may also know me as one of the Five Great Heroes. The Virtue of Knowledge himself."

The Meeting
Mob!Bucky x Reader x Steve Rogers (Massive warning - this fic is dark.)
Tumblr media
I'd recommend listening to this for this chapter!
Warnings (apply to the whole series): drugging, mafia/gang activity, criminal activity, age gap (reader is over the age of 18), arson, death, murder, coercion/peer pressure (non-sexual), manipulation/brainwashing, parental issues (a.k.a daddy issues), abuse of power, sort of stockholm syndrome?
Summary: Left to your own devices whilst your mother joins socialite groups with the other rich moms in town and whilst your father deals with those business troubles he's been having, you decide to explore your surroundings, and make a new friend on the way.
Fine. Maybe a miniskirt and Mary Janes weren't the best fashion choice for exploring the woods down the street, but you were yet to have unpacked the entire contents of your wardrobe. It was the best you could do. Besides, it would hopefully make a nice impression on anybody who saw you. The outfit painted a sweet, innocent, girl-next-door picture of you that you rather enjoyed. The plaid skirt went nicely with the cardigan you wore, which was perfect for the autumn chill. You promised your parents you'd be home by lunchtime, and surprisingly enough, your father let you leave without assistance. That was probably his first mistake, unbeknownst to you.
As you stepped out of the house, the October breeze hit you like an avalanche, a shiver running down your spine instantly. The shiver was also impacted by the eye contact you made once more with the man across the street, however. Your hands immediately flew to your skirt, tugging it down as much as you could to avoid judgement, earning a chuckle from the man. Although he was rather far away, you still heard his laugh and it sent an unfamiliar warmth to your core. You shuddered at your own avidity. You both paused for a moment, neither of you wanting to be the first to break the gaze, until he turned on his heel and gave you one more glance before entering his own home. Relief relaxed your shoulders, and you let the huff of air you must have been holding in slip from your lips. You clutched your bag as your stomach began to ache with hunger. Maybe it would be nice to have a picnic date with yourself in the forest.
The walk to the grocery shop, which perched on a corner flooded with crates of flowers and fruits, was thankfully rather short. You picked up a punnet of berries and some cookies, receiving both lustful and judgemental looks from most of the other customers. The cashier, who just so happened to be a suited, well kept man, whom was insanely buff and broad, that owned the shop itself, simply watched you in curiosity. You smiled warmly at him and thanked him as you left, the bell on the top of the door frame dinging sharply as you stepped out. Peckish, you bit into a perfectly crimson strawberry as you made your way to the woods your father had driven past on your way to the house. The juice of the berry stained your lips as you chewed and hummed contently. It was delicious.
The leaves under your feet crunched faintly, crisp and warm toned. The forest was riddled with overgrown greenery which had now grown limp and dry, but it was beautiful all the same. Ivy creeped up the trees, embracing them tightly. The grass was somehow short amidst the dying leaves and bushes. The trees cast a shadow over the entire forest. The place had a simple yet eerie beauty to it. Perhaps you could visit here more often. You found a tree, twisted and distorted, its trunk reaching out the the ground among the thorns and nettles. You settled upon the trunk, leaning against the upward twist of it. It was a perfect place to sit and relax. This place only got better.
You'd just dug into your berry mix as you heard a deep grunt sound before you. Your gaze snapped up, meeting the intense eyes of the man across the street. Your body immediately tensed under his watch. "We must stop meeting like this," he chuckled, the same sound from earlier reverberating through his chest, which was, much like the shop keeper's, exceptionally broad and muscular, his sweater fitted just enough to outline the muscles perfectly. You smiled softly, still nervous as his eyes burned into you. He held his hand out to you, offering it as a greeting. You shook it lightly, your small hand enclosing around his in a way that made his eyes darken. You didn't notice, though. You were too busy trying not to melt under his gaze. The man was incredibly attractive - it wasn't your fault that he flustered you so much. His dark hair was gelled lightly, stray and short curls framing his face. His eyes were a vibrant and deep blue, somehow radiating an alluring darkness despite their brightness in colour. He towered over you, and you were sure he would even if you weren't sat down. His shoulders were wide and his arms were large and rugged. His jaw was defined and sharp, brushed with faint stubble which was strangely attractive. Whilst it made him look older, it made him all the more handsome. His lips were plump and pink, in a constant state of soft smiling toward you. Between his brows was a crease, similar to the kind that frustration or anger would bring. But he wasn't angry or frustrated - at least you didn't think he was. Despite the time you felt you had spent scanning the man's features, seconds had not yet even passed. He seemed to freeze time. "I'm James," he breathed, "but my friends call me Bucky," and a smirk tugged at his lips.
"How does James turn into Bucky?" You giggled, playful confusion washing over your features. He hummed a laugh, leaning nearer to you. "When you become a friend." He purred. Your smile dropped, now replaced with a blank and flustered stare, heat rising in your cheeks. Bucky could've sworn his pants got tighter as he watched the blush erupt in the apples of your cheeks. You shook your head softly, the smile returning to your lips as you composed yourself and steadied your breathing, eyes bearing into his. "I mean where did the name come from." You simpered. "My last name's Buchanan," he explained, his eyes flickering between each of yours. The moment was oddly intense, sending warm shivers through you. Your stomach broke out in frenzied butterflies. "Oh," you breathed, and with that, a content silence settled upon the both of you. After a few seconds, Bucky broke the silence. "I was just about to go on a stroll," He said smoothly, his eyes shining with mischief. "Care to join me?" And his hand brushed against yours once more.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comfortable silence had lingered for long enough, and Bucky wanted to hear your voice again. The leaves crunched beneath your feet as you walked, but Bucky's deep voice broke through the haze that nature's ambience has lured you into. "So, where'd you move from?" He asked, turning to peer at you as you did the same. "Leesville," you muttered, nostalgia washing over you. You'd never had the most exciting social life, but Leesville had still been your childhood home. The look of gloom that clouded your expression made Bucky's hand move on it's own. He reached towards your face, hand cupping your jaw as his thumb swiped over your lips. "Strawberry juice," he mumbled softly in response to your look of surprise. Once again, the blush he had reacted so extremely to before sprung back to life, an almost inaudible groan sounding from his throat instinctively. You blinked at him, the same blank expression settling on your face, your lips parting as you exhaled shakily. You couldn't wrap your head around how easily this man was effecting you, this stranger, this new friend.
The two of you spoke and walked until the sky began to darken, when the realisation that lunchtime had long passed hit you. A small gasp left your lips, as you spun to face Bucky. His eyebrow quirked in confusion, to which you yelped, "I was supposed to be back home for lunch!" You absentmindedly grasped his hand and began to rush back the way you came, before his hand tightened around yours, the realisation of your action falling over you. You quickly dropped your hand and continued speed walking until you passed the tree you had sat at. Huffing, and clutching your chest in exhaustion, you heard Bucky catch up with you, his strides long and steady. "I'll walk you home. Besides, you're a big girl, I'm sure your parents won't mind." He insisted. You just stared at him as he began to walk ahead of you, glancing back at you just how he had that morning, until your senses came back to you and the panic clouding your mind subsided. He was right. You were old enough to get home a whatever time you wanted - except, it was more so to do with your safety than your age.
Rounding the corner and approaching the both of your houses, Bucky cleared his throat. You looked at him expectantly, and your mouth hung slack when you processed what he had to say. "Would you like to have coffee with me tomorrow?" He'd asked. This man, this god-carved hunk, the most attractive man you'd admittedly ever seen, was asking you, a girl he'd only just met, a girl at least 10 years younger than him, out to coffee. You'd assumed he only walked with you out of politeness, because he'd bumped into you and introduced himself. You'd assumed he was only being courteous because you had just moved in. But no, he had walked with you because he, James Buchanan, wanted to walk with you. He, burly Bucky, wanted to spend time with you. It was his eyes, exploring yours in expectance, that bought you back from the depths of your thoughts. You gulped, unable to verbally accept his offer, and nodded. You were eager, don't be mistaken, but you'd never had any friends. You knew you were attractive, but to be thrown from your typical lonely state into a state of possible romance shook you. Bucky, leaving you just as he had greeted you, chuckled in response and shook his head at your obvious nervousness. "How does 11 work for you?" He asked, not even expecting a verbal answer anymore. You only nodded again, before quickly heading up your porch steps and into your strangely quiet home, leaving Bucky behind you, smirking, eyes dark and hooded.
Author's Note: Okay, I'm quite nervous to publish this... this is my first time allowing my writing to include outward sexuality. I'm hoping it isn't too cringey? This is also my first series! So I'm hoping it turns our nicely. Enjoy!!

Happilyfeatherafter’s ficrec Fridays
It's February!! Welcome back to another week of ficrecs. A mix of post-confession therapy, poetry, and glorious AU this week. (I thought I'd not read much because this week has been, quite frankly, a bastard, but apparently this was a lie!)
If you missed last week’s you can find my previous rec lists here for more!
2 February 2024
maybe i like pleasure pain by tothewillofthepeople (@kvothes). After the perfect darkness of the Empty, Cas finds the world a little…overwhelming. Dean tries to help. Post 15x18, Cas is both touch starved and touch sensitive, and the sensory overload of the world can be a bit too much. He craves Dean's touch, but resists asking for it. A really beautifully written, metaphor laden examination of chronic pain, disability, trauma and the physicality of the body and nebulous presence of mind. All wrapped up in an abundance of love and devotion. Absolutely gorgeous.
Prayer to a False God by K_A_Mindin (@katerinaalianovamindin, art by @gaytedlasso for @spnbangbang) It’s been two years stuck in the Empty, where the Shadow showed him his worst mistakes over and over again. Then he's brought back, to Jack and to Dean, and silence continues to rein, the unspoken acknowledgement of the confession lingering in the air...until Cas decides he needs to stop letting silence rule. Alongside the emotional pull of this thread, the D/S dynamics which grant Dean the permission to speak his truths, through prayer, and through physical release, are a joy to behold.
i like your shoelaces (thanks! i stole them from the president) by @you-cant-spell-subtext-without is a brilliantly funny take on Misha's "Dean is a custodian in a fast food restaurant. Castiel is the President of the United States" fic prompt from a convention, told through the narrative hook of a Cinderella story. Delightfully tongue in cheek, and laugh out loud, this is currently a wip but a must read to bring joy to your inbox each update.
FROTUS by kathscradle takes the very same prompt but approaches it in a very well executed slowburn that says ok but seriously what if? My favourite thing about this fic is the importance of family, Cas being the widowed single parent of Jack and Claire, and Dean stepping up in his new role as step-Dad. Add in the slowburn relationship unfolding through long distance hyper-monitored correspondence, and all the national security matters at hand, this longfic gave my The West Wing/Scandal/Destiel brain a great big hug.
birthday candles by rhinestoneangels (almondrose/@pinknatural) is a super cute, ever so charming Dean's birthday ficlet in which Castiel's sister Anna drags him to a birthday party for a friend of hers who he has never met. He googles what to bring to a birthday party and settles on baking cookies...one fire later and fortunately, the firefighter who shows up to save Castiel from himself is very dreamy, and what a coincidence! It's his birthday, too….
I've also fallen down a rabbit warren of destiel and spn poetry, and I really really love this one by @whatladybird and this one by @eyelinerdean, @donestiel's incredible poetry gif edit series and I'm very excited to keep reading more on the @spnpoetryrenaissance blog. Has anyone seen a 2024 prompt list? Asking for reasons.
PS if you'd like to be added to a tag list for my ficrecs going forward please let me know!

“yer commin’ with me tomorrow?” daryl asked as you both walked back to your house after running errands around alexandria all day.
you nodded before looking up at daryl as he began to light a cigarette. “m’sure.” you smiled weakly. “can i have the rest of the afternoon off then?” you asked, your smile slowly turning into a smirk.
“sure.” he shrugged. “i think carols makin’ dinner.” he added as you began to part ways. “and don-“
“don’t forget to be home by dark.” you smiled. “see ya at dinner!” you sang as you wandered off, earning a wave from daryl before he disappeared into the infirmary.
you spun around on the balls of your feet and began to head back to the gate. it was nearing the shift change which gave you a chance to slip out without being noticed. as you walked towards the gate you had noticed abraham walking a couple meter in front, ready to change with sasha. swiftly you managed to sneak past the pair, slipping between the gate before sneaking off into the near by tree line.
as you began to stepped through the overgrown forests that neighbored alexandria, you shoved your hand gun into the back of your jeans. the occasional walker would stumble towards you but with ease you managed to put them down before finding your go to spot. just as you went to sit down you heard a twig snap behind you. you quickly grabbed the gun that was tucked between your belt and the fabric of your jeans and pointed it in the direction of the noise.
“just me.” carl smiled, causing you to lower your gun as he continued to navigate his way through the bushes and foliage. “and ya forgot these.” he smirked, finally looking up to meet your eyes as he threw a backpack in your direction.
you let out a breath of relief as you tucked your gun away before beginning to shuffle through the bag. “i’ve got my own personal stash.” you grinned, pulling out a bag of carols cookies she had made yesterday.
“betcha it’s not as good as mine.” carl snickered as he sat down, leaning up against a rotting log. you plopped down by his side, taking a bite of the cookie before continuing to search through the bag. “hand it over.”
you continued to look through the bag, shuffling the the comics as you handed the half eaten cookie over to carl causing him to let out a weak laugh.
“i meant the bag.” he smiled. “but i will take that.” carl smiled smugly as he took the cookie out of your hand. after you had picked your comic book of choice you handed the bag over to carl. “how’s your morning with daryl?”
“alright.” you shrugged, not fully invested in your comic just yet. “we’re goin’ out on a run tomorrow morning.” you noted before turning the page.
carl nodded as he finally picked out a comic and dumped the bag beside him. “for how long?”
you shrugged, not really knowing all the details as daryl typically didn’t plan too far in advance. “maybe a couple’a days.”
carl looked over at you and noticed how uninterested you were in your comic. “wanna trade?” he asked.
you smiled before passed your comic to carl before taking the one he held out in his hand. you quickly began to get settled, getting comfortable on the ground as you continued to share a batch of carols cookies that carl had swiped. you were so involved in the comics the afternoon had disappeared. the sun was beginning to set, casting dark shadows in the tree line causing you to look up from your comic. you let go of your comic book and gently tapped carls knee causing him to look up, almost startled.
“suns startin’ to set.” you mumbled, turning to look at carl for the first time in a few hours. “we need to leave if we wanna make it outta here before dark.” you noted.
“i reckon i saw a shed maybe a mile back.” he suggested, closing his comic book. “we could just spend the night there and head back in the morning.” he shrugged beginning to pack up the small pile of comics sitting by his side.
“nuh uh.” you shook your head, beginning to pack up your things. “i promised daryl i’d be back before dark.” you mumbled, jumping to your feet and swinging your backpack over your shoulders before turning around to face carl. you extended your arms before shaking your hands, motioning for him to take your hands. “come on grimes, i’m not getting caught in the dark with you again.” you grinned.
furrowing his eyebrows, carl took your hands and jumped to his feet before slowly letting go of your hands. “hey, last time wasn’t my fault!” he whined.
“i’m not even going to dignify that with a response.” you giggled, bending down to pick up carls backpack before handing it to him.
carl frowned as he took the bag from your hand before beginning to walk off. “oh shut up.” he smirked.
your laugh faded into a smile as you began to walk through the overgrown weeds and grass. you put a little skip in your step to catch up with carl before returning your normal pace.
“wanna finish the comics back at mine?” he asked quietly, briefly looking at you before returning his focus back to the path in front of him.
“sure.” you shrugged. “ya know i think carols cooking some big dinner tonight. we could read more then.” you suggested. “which means we are probably going to run out of comics soon.” you laughed. “again.”
carl let out a breathy laugh before turning back to look at you once again. “i actually have a surprise for you.” he smirked, his casual wander turning into a jog.
“hey!” you smiled, beginning to run after him. “did you go out the wall without me?” you asked, a little short of breath.
“you were out here without me!” he teased.
together you both ran the rest of the way, unintentionally turning the trip back into a race. although the race briefly got put on hold when you had to sneak back inside the walls but as soon as those gates closed, it was back to pull speed running. neither of you could contain your laughs or giggles as you would playfully push or pull each other. as you both began to run in the general direction of carls house you were stopped by an all too familiar voice.
“y/n!” daryl called out, sounding a little annoyed as he stood in the middle of the street, cleaning his hands with a dirtied rag.
your laughing quickly faded as you stopped running to face daryl. “shit.” you mumbled under your breath as you realized it had gotten dark quicker then expected. “what?” you asked.
“thought i told yer to be back before dark?” he grumbled, shoving the rag in his back pocket.
you smiled weakly before looking back at carl finding him almost not being able to keep in his laughter. “i’m hangin’ out with carl.”
“come on.” he groaned.
“s’just for a few more hours.” carl laughed as he tried to reassure daryl of your plans.
daryl let out a grumble before beginning to wander off, presumably heading back home. you let out an exhausted sigh causing carl to face you. he looked just as disappointed as you, his smile quickly dropping as he realized this would be where you part ways for the day.
“guess i’ll see yer when i get back from the run.” you smiled weakly, beginning to walk backwards heading towards the house.
carl flashed you a quick smile, almost forgetting about the run you had planned with daryl. “i’ll see ya at the gate.” he grinned, spinning around on the heels of his feet before beginning the short walk back to his house which was only next door to you.
you let out a breathy laugh before following daryl back to your house, always keeping a few meters distance between the two of you. once you were inside you were quick to run past him, making your way up to your bedroom. after closing your bedroom door you dropped your backpack to the floor before flopping down onto your bed. just as you let out a deep breath, there was a knock at your door.
“what?” you grumbled, pulling yourself into an upright position.
“yer went outside the wall didn’t ya?” daryl asked blankly as he leant up against your door frame.
“i’m not a kid anymore daryl.” you laughed weakly, not entirely in the mood to get into an argument with him.
daryl looked at you, scanning your body for any injuries as you stared back blankly. “exactly.” he muttered, furrowing his eyebrows. “so why ya bein’ stupid.”
you stayed quiet, knowing that daryl was coming from a good place he just had trouble expressing it. you began to fiddle with the cuticles of your nails causing daryl to let out a sigh.
“dinner’ll be ready in a couple’a hours.” he noted before pulling your bedroom door closed.
it was never usually that easy to get daryl off of you back, especially when he had his suspicions of you going outside the walls. at first you though he might have left to go recruit carol and try make her give some boring lecture but after almost an hour no one came back to your room. you began to settle in, as you could smell carols cooking begin to flow through the house. you were sitting at the end of your bed, reading comics you had read a thousand times before trying to kill time, expecting carol to call out your name at any given moment.
your whole body tensed when you heard rustling coming from outside your bedroom window. quickly jumping up from your bed, throwing the comic on the bed before hovering your hand over your knife that was safely secured in hits pouch hanging off of your belt. you wandered over to the window and peered outside to find an all too familiar face climbing up the white trellis that lined the walls of your house. you pushed up the window and rested your elbows on the window ledge.
“look at you.” you smiled. “workin’ up a sweat.” you teased causing carl to briefly look up at you with a smirk plastered on his lips.
“shut up.” he laughed, turning his focus back to the trellis.
“what happened to seeing me in the morning?”
“i was bored.” he shrugged, struggling a little as he continued climb up the side of your house. “and.” he sang. “i never got to give you the surprise.”
you took a few steps back as he began to climb through the window, his hat falling off in the process. you had noticed his hair was a little damp, causing a few strands to stick to his forehead. as carl stood up, you picked up his hat before patting it back onto his head.
“i forgot about your surprise.” you laughed as you watched carl straighten up his clothes before standing upright.
“yup!” he smiled, pulling a comic book out from his back pocket. “here.”
you turned around to find carl holding an x-men 134. the colors were a little faded and the first few pages were a little damaged but you didn’t mind. in fact you had been looking for this comic for as long as you could remember. you looked up at carl and smiled.
“holy shit.” you huffed. “holy shit!” you almost squealed with enjoyment as you sprung towards him, wrapping your arms around his neck. “thank you, thank you, thank you!” you whispered.
after a brief moment of shock, you felt carls arms wrap around your waist. carl felt the comic book fall onto his back as you held onto it tightly. in fact, he could feel you smiling as your head gently rested in the crook of his neck.
“where’d yer find it?” you mumbled into his neck.
“doesn’t matter.” he grinned. he slightly pulled his head back so he could look you in the eye. “just don’t tell my dad i went out the walls alone.” he chuckled.
“only if you promise to take me with you next time.” you bargained, looking up into carls eyes.
“promise.” he whispered, his hands slowly beginning to unwrap from around your waist only for his hands to stop as they reach your hips.
you could feel carl slowly inching closer to you. his breath gently hitting your lips. carl found himself focusing on the smaller details of your face. he had only been this close to you on a few occasions but never had the chance to admire the small scar that had always been on the bridge of your nose, the light freckles littered over your cheeks or even the way the ends of your hair would curl, especially on your outgrown fringe.
it was almost like you couldn’t control it, you were being pulled towards each other. just as carl went to lean in your bedroom door swung open. you both pulled away from each other as you realized daryl stood there frozen. you could feel your cheeks beginning to burn as you looked over at carl who’s stood there frozen, scared that any movement might piss him off.
“the hell is he doin’ in ‘ere?” daryl grunted.
“he was just droppin’ off a comic.” you smiled, almost unable to control your laughter. “he-uh he was just leaving.”
“didn’t ‘ear him come through the door.”
you smiled as you looked over to carl who was beginning to panic. “it’s no big deal.” you laughed, throwing the comic book onto your bed before beginning to walk towards your bedroom door. “dinners ready right?” you asked, looking up at daryl for confirmation.
“mm.” he nodded.
you briefly turned back to look at carl, flicking your head in the direction of the kitchen signaling for him to follow you. letting out a nervous laugh carl quickly jogged after you as you began to skip down the stairs, leaving daryl alone still standing by your bedroom door.
“jesus.” carl mumbled. “i thought he was gonna kill me.”

omg! adding what the child between the reader and cookies would be was such a nice touch!!
If you wouldn't mind could you do the same premise with pure vanilla, clotted cream, caviar, red velvet, and madeleine cookie? 👉👈 thank you, you're the best! <3
Tumblr media
Whew, that was quite the lot of proposals to go through! You didn’t know that many cookies wanted to bake and bring your child to the world!
Tumblr media
“Indeed, but too much attention can make you stressful, Your Majesty. I’d hate if this crowding discourages you from managing the kingdom, I’ll reiterate that this kingdom needs a ruler like you for it to prosper!”
Oh Financier and her worrying, you reassured her that you were a-okay, you weren’t going anywhere. You managed this kingdom since the beginning, no way were you backing out now.
“It’s just..you’re my top priority, Y/N Cookie. Above all others. I don’t know what I’d do with myself if you ever left this kingdom…”
Financier…
Tumblr media
“Y/N Cookie, there you are!”
You turned to see Pure Vanilla approaching you with a warm smile, you then felt a darkening presence behind you, likely Financier staring down Pure Vanilla as a shadow covered her eyes. You turned and once again placed a hand on her shoulder, nodding to her with a reassuring smile. Financier gazes in your eyes for a second before sighing and giving you a smile on return, nodding her head too.
Hello, Pure Vanilla! What brings him to you today?
“I’ve wanted to give you these!”
Pure Vanilla reached behind him and revealed flowers to you.
“These flowers matched your glow, so I’d figured it was right that I gave them to you!”
Woah, Pure Vanilla…he didn’t have to!
“I just wanted to because you’re a really wonderful friend, Y/N Cookie! I’d give you anything after all that you’ve done for me and the cookies that live here. Anything at all…like a young one for example!”
You sighed with a knowing smile to yourself. Pure Vanilla, you sly weasel.
Y/N Cookie + Pure Vanilla Cookie = Vanilla Bean Cookie
He/Him
A literal bean, the combined benevolence of both cookies formed together when Vanilla Bean was baked, learning the wonders of magic in hopes of helping his fellow cookies in any way he can!
Woah, an Ancient Cookie wishing to be the parent to your child?! Pure Vanilla, are you sure there isn’t any cookie out there more worthy then y-
“Don’t say that about yourself, you’ve always been the most worthy to me! These roses, love and kindness, are how I feel about you! When I’ve heard the news, i believed it would the perfect opportunity to confess these feelings, Y/N Cookie!”
Really?
“Really really!”
————————————————————————————
Financier wanted to reserve her judgment and keep herself from speaking her mind for your sake, but even the Ancients were wanting to participate in this competition that was brewing? It’s putting her on edge…
It only got worse as even Cookies of Darkness also look to get with you too, as Red Velvet Cookie attested to.
Tumblr media
He had leapt out of a bush, with Chiffon on hand. Financier was ready to unsheathe her sword to defend against the evil cookie, but was halted you, letting her know that Red Velvet meant no harm, quite the opposite in fact if you were guessing correctly.
Of course, he too wished to be the one to share a child with you. A friend to all desserts was an admirable trait of yours and he wasn’t lying when he says he’s been thinking on this for a long while now!
“The cookie created between you and me will be the one to lead all desserts across the land!”
Y/N Cookie + Red Velvet Cookie = Crimson Cake Cookie
He/Him
A bonafide beastmaster, just a simple glance will have all sorts of critters join Crimson Cake’s side! This does leave him unpopular amongst properties that have a no pet rule though.
You were about to answer him when Financier held your hand and whisked you away from the cookie, causing him to follow after the two of you, clearly getting angered by Financier interrupting you.
You sighed as you stood by the sidelines, watching the two cookies devolve into arguing for a few minutes.
If the word was really out, then it’s only to get more annoying for Financier down the line.
————————————————————————————
Tumblr media
Knight Commander Madeleine Cookie. Oh god, Financier could feel her face darken as Madeleine happily approached you with his proposal for a child, of course he had heard about the rumors going around the kingdom. Financier has her personal gripes with Madeleine, but ultimately kept it at a polite level.
Him wanting your child? Forgive her if she lets out a snarky remark or two. Madeleine wasn’t a terrible cookie, but..you could do so much more then…that.
“I wish to have a child with a cookie that I ultimately trust the most. The responsibility to create and take care of your child would be a honor and I will do nothing less but my very best to make sure they grow up to shine just as brightly as their parents!”
Y/N Cookie + Madeleine Cookie = Butter Cake Cookie
They/Them
Butter Cake wants to follow in their father’s footsteps into becoming a noble Paladin and they have your full support! Madeleine openly expresses joy for his child and isn’t afraid to show it!
Madeleine held your hand as he rambled on the joyous memories the both of you will have with your child if you grant him this wish!
————————————————————————————
Financier didn’t have to scare him off like that.
You tell Financier as you two sat at a outside table by the Latte Cafe.
“Forgive me, Your Majesty. There’s just better options then Madeleine.”
Tumblr media
“Y/N Cookie, I’ve been hearing about ya wanting a kiddo in your life. I’ve braved many ferocious seas in my life, but the turbulent path of parenthood ain’t no cake walk. I wish to travel that path with ya if you allow me.”
Y/N Cookie + Captain Caviar Cookie = Golden Egg Cookie
She/Her
Taking a different path from her dad, Golden Egg Cookie is a swashbuckling pirate. What she also took from you is your good nature, Golden Egg is incredibly merciful, only really resorting to severe attacks if given no other option. Prefers to just yoink stuff from cookies then hurt anyone.
Ok, Financier thought Elder Captain Caviar Cookie was definitely better then Madeleine, so this was good timing that he happened to come along.
Tumblr media
“Not so fast, Captain Caviar Cookie. I mean no disrespect when saying this, but I’d believe that matters regarding Y/N Cookie are of the most importance to me, including the right to have their children.”
The Consul as well? Eugh, Financier sighed again. She should’ve anticipated this too. Every Cookie in the kingdom must be talking about the rumors, which meant a whole lot more where that came from.
Y/N Cookie + Clotted Cream Cookie = Sour Cream Cookie
She/Her
Sour Cream would be raised with the upmost care and love within House Custard. Custard Cookie could try to mold her into the Cookie most suitable to be in charge of the House when it’s her time, but Clotted would be incredibly against anything that would hurt his kid. Sour Cream will be the kind and responsible Cookie that he knows she can be.

After what felt like forever, Chris finally finished up some work that needed to be done. Gently, he massaged his temples as he shut down his computer before exiting his home studio. Before heading to the bathroom for a shower, he looked around the house for anything that needed to be done. The last thing he wanted was for you to stress about the condition of your home.
Freshly showered, he made his way to his son’s bedroom for one last bedtime kiss. When he entered the room, the only things that could be heard were Mateo’s snores and the soft clicking of his rotating shadow lamp. The walls of the room were covered with an assortment of animals in various colors and a wave of nostalgia washed over Chris.
As he tiptoed further into the room, Mateo moved in his sleep and that made Chris hold his breath. Even after a full day of school, Mateo had too much energy which made putting him to bed a bit frustrating for both of you.
So, he ushered you towards your bedroom and suggested that you take a relaxing bath or shower and that he would take care of everything. You reluctantly agreed but there was no way that you would let him do everything. He only laughed at your stubbornness before he leaned over to kiss your forehead.
Then Chris walked over to Mateo, who was busy working on a small dinosaur puzzle, and sat down across from him. Once the puzzle was complete, Chris asked Mateo if he was ready for bath time to which Mateo replied with a ‘no’. With years of parenting stray kids under his belt, he kept a calm expression on his face as he thought of what to do next. Luckily, all he had to do was mention sweets and the sound of tiny feet against the hardwood floors was all that could be heard.
“Then we’re going to clean up all of our toys, yeah?”
“I will! Promise.” Mateo shouted over his shoulder.
Chris couldn’t help but laugh at how Mateo said ‘promise’ since his two front teeth had fallen out recently. With a shake of his head and a grin on his face, Chris quickly picked a pair of pajamas before he made his way down the hall.
It took about ten minutes for Mateo to decide on what body wash he wanted to use, even though they all smelled similar. When he finally decided on a bright blue one, Chris turned on the water.
After a few soap mohawks and funny stories, Mateo was all cleaned up and ready for bed. Chris had just tossed his dirty clothes into a hamper when the child tugged on his shirt.
“Can I have a cookie now?”
Chris placed his thumb and forefinger under his chin, pretending to think. “Did you pick up all of your toys?”
  Mateo shook his head.
“It’s okay.” Chris leaned down to kiss the top of his head, “Come on, I’ll help you.”
The two boys made their way to Mateo’s bedroom to clean up and you soon joined them. Once the room was clean, Chris gave Mateo a cookie as promised, and he later brushed his teeth with both of you. Then all three of you went back into his room and you sat on his green race car bed while Chris sat on the floor, a small book in hand.
After two bedtime stories, Mateo crawled into your lap. You smiled down at him and moved a curl out of his face before kissing his forehead. Chris moved closer to the two of you and you all sat in silence. When it seemed like Mateo was finally dozing off, you moved slightly to lay him down which only woke him up. You looked at Chris and both of you laughed quietly.
Chris kneeled on the side of Mateo’s bed and carefully leaned over to kiss the top of the child’s head. He moved some of his hair from his face and frowned when he felt warmth. Chris gently placed the back of his hand against Mateo’s forehead and his eyebrows knitted together.
Carefully, he peeled the blankets and checked if the child was sweating but there was nothing. He decided that it would be best to check his temperature and take some of the blankets off.
Chris reluctantly stood and went to exit the room but not before he turned around to check on him once more.
When he climbed into bed with you minutes later, you turned to face him. “Everything okay?”
“I think so. It just seems like Mateo’s running a temp.” He dipped his head to kiss your cheek, his way of trying to reassure you. “But I think he’s okay. He wasn’t sweating and his temperature was normal.”
You nodded and promised to check his temperature in the morning, far too tired to try and get out of bed. Within minutes, you were out again. Chris moved closer to you so that your head could rest against his chest and hoped that Mateo would be fine in the morning.
••••
The next few days were rough for all three of you, Mateo especially. When you checked his temperature, he had a low-grade fever and within a day, sneezing and congestion. You and Chris cleared your schedules to take him to the doctor where he was diagnosed with a sinus infection.
It hurt both of you to see him in the slightest bit of pain. Everything was more challenging, especially when he was cranky at times. Even though the two of you were slightly frustrated, you both remained calm and tried your best to soothe him.
There were many moments when Chris was just as exhausted as you, but he still managed to go above and beyond in helping with Mateo. Of course, this wasn’t anything new, but it made you realize just how lucky you were to have him as your husband.
And even though caring for a sick kid was a task, it was a nice change of pace. There were times when you both questioned if the time you spent with Mateo was enough. With your twelve-hour shifts and the long hours Chris spent producing music and traveling with the group, it made sense to question it.
Your text tone brought you back to the present.
You glanced down at the bowl of hot soup on the counter you then dug your phone out of your sweatpants pocket. Once you unlocked it, you were met with a few messages in the group chat. All of the members sent well wishes to Mateo as well as reminders for you and Chris to take care of yourselves and each one matched their personalities which made you chuckle. Quickly, you typed a thank you response before you put your phone back in your pocket and grabbed the bowl.
As you padded to the living room, the floor cold against your bare feet, you could hear Mateo’s favorite animated movie playing. Even though he was sick, Mateo didn’t pass up the opportunity to point out and explain what was going on to Chris.
“Oh, so that’s her big sister.” Chris looked at the screen and then turned to Mateo, who seemed pleased that his dad was paying attention.
You could only smile as you moved closer to them. They were both so into the movie that they barely noticed when you sat down next to them which made Chris smile sheepishly at you. He looked at the bowl in your hands and got Mateo’s attention. It took a minute but when he looked at what was in the bowl, he turned so that his head rested on Chris’s shoulder.
  “Hey, what’s wrong?”
Mateo pointed at the bowl and faced the opposite direction.
  “Don’t wanna eat vegetables.”
Both of you had to hold in your laughter.
“Aw, it’s okay,” you started, “they’ll help you feel better.”
“And help you get big and strong.” Chris quickly added.
The little boy groaned and tightened his grasp on his dad’s shirt. You reached over to gently rub Mateo’s back and he slowly faced you, a pout on his lips. Chris kissed the side of his head and went on to animatedly explain how he got so strong from eating all his vegetables.
Just as you were about to bring the bowl back to the kitchen, Mateo let go of Chris and climbed into your lap, and gestured for the soup. Both of you took turns feeding him and each time he’d eat a spoonful, you each made funny faces. When the bowl was mostly empty, you both made sure to clap and cheer for him.
“When can I get muscles like Uncle Changbin?”
Neither of you could hold in your giggles. Chris rubbed the top of Mateo’s head, his curls messier than before, and explained that it may take some time. Mateo nodded, somewhat pleased by Chris’s answer, and turned his focus back to the movie. Now and then, Mateo excitedly pointed at something on the screen and asked you about it before he and Chris dozed off.
As the movie continued, a deep orange and yellow glow seeped into the curtains and filtered into your living room. Just as you were about to stand up, Mateo shifted in your lap and froze for a second. You sighed, shook your head, and thought about similar moments when he was a baby. Carefully, you moved Mateo onto the couch and placed a light blanket over him.
Movement to your right made you look up and you noticed that Chris was sleepily staring at you.
  “Okay?”
You nodded, “Was just gonna get us something to eat.”
  “I’ll help.”
There was barely a chance to protest because he leaned over, careful not to disturb Mateo, and kissed you. Then his hand clasped yours and he helped you up. The two of you walked into the kitchen and Chris gestured to the bar stools.
You playfully rolled your eyes and looked out the window above the sink. The sun was quickly sinking below the horizon, and you could faintly make out a few stars speckled across the sky. While Chris reheated your leftovers, you filled two glasses of water because there was no way either of you had the time or energy to cook.
••••
The two of you were able to eat in comfortable silence. Just as the last of the dishes were cleaned, Mateo entered the kitchen with tears in his eyes and cried right after. When he was cranky like that, it was best to act quickly.
It was a team effort to bathe him but luckily, he calmed down to eat. His symptoms were much better than before, and he was able to sleep during the night without a coughing fit. You had just given Mateo one last goodnight kiss when you met Chris in the dim hallway.
“I ordered this,” he held up a bag that had your favorite bakery’s logo on it and took you by the hand.
You were too excited to say anything as you hurried to the kitchen. Chris grabbed the spoons while you took out a pint of ice cream and got two bowls.
“Thank you.” You turned to face him.
There was a slight darkness under his eyes, and you felt a pang in your chest. He always tried his best, which you appreciated, but he’d doubt himself.
“It’s no problem,” he leaned forward and kissed your forehead, “I gave Mateo the last cookie a few days ago and knew you’d want something sweet.”
With a smile on your face, you dropped your spoon into the bowl and cupped his cheeks.
“Not just for the sweets but everything,” you kissed his nose, “it’s just that I don’t think you know how much you are appreciated.”
Chris surged forward and kissed you. Even after all this time, he was still able to make it feel like you were kissing him for the first time. When he pulled away, your face felt warm and his cheeks were tinged pink.
The rest of the night went on as normal. After going through your nighttime routine, you exited your en suite and were surprised to see Chris waiting for you. When you asked him about getting any work done, he told you that it could wait.
Once most of the lights were off, save for your bedside lamp, you climbed into bed.
“Do you think he’s going to be okay tomorrow?”
Chris pulled his lips inwards as he thought for a moment. “Well, he did pick all of the M&M’s out of the trail mix. So, I think he’s starting to feel better.”
  At that, you chuckled.
He pressed a kiss to your cheek and told you to get some rest. With a nod, you pulled Chris closer to rest your head on his chest. Once your minds were at ease, the two of you drifted off to sleep.

Mark Of The Baked
One Shot by LazilyBeingLassie
Inspired by @/sunseed-fandump "The Devil's Encore"
Characters: Gingerbrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie
Summary: Shadow Milk creates a dream where he can talk to the three cookies. Offering a proposal and a piece of information.
Notes: I had a headcanon, that I know isn't real, but for the sake of character expansion I'm running with it!
The sun was bright and hot, giving everyone the brightest smiles and determination to work hard. Cookies running around, accomplishing tasks that were needed to be done. Baking, farming, building. And when cookies weren't working, they were mingling, playing, or just enjoying the fresh air.
Gingerbrave was making his rounds on the kingdom, seeing if he was needed anywhere. More and more cookies were finding their way to this place, which meant jobs were getting filled up more and more. Sure it meant he had less to do, but that didn't bother him all too much as it gave him time to travel and see his friends from across Earthbread.
Like . . . Pure Vanilla Cookie . . . Why was that the first name that came to his head? In fact, hadn't he just been talking with him not too-
His thoughts were interrupted at the sound of distress further into the center of town. No one seemed to be reacting to it, so the brave cookie decided to check it out himself. He could hear the sounds of cake hounds not too far from him as Gingerbrave stumbled upon a merchant cookie who was fighting them off with a broom. The cookie was blue and dressed in a sweater and jeans, defending a cart full of cabbages that were ripe and ready to sell. If they made it to the stand that was.
"Go away! These aren't for you!" The cookie wacked away, but they were not giving up so easily.
"Hey," shouted Gingerbrave, "scram! All of you!" With his candy cane, he smacked them back, giving some distance between the two.
The little pooches however seemed more and more angry as they crawled closer and closer to them. It was gonna be a big fight for sure. Nothing he couldn't handle of course. Then suddenly . . .
CRACK! BOOM!
Lightening struck in front of the cakes, scaring them back to the forests where they came from. Both of the cookies were a bit shocked at first as they looked up to see there were no clouds in the sky. Not a storm in sight. That could only mean one thing.
"Gingerbrave," shouted Wizard Cookie, running over to the two with Strawberry Cookie following, "I didn't accidentally hit you, did I? I was estimating my shot, but-"
"No no! We're both fine! Thanks for spooking them, Wizard Cookie," Gingerbrave thanked.
The pink hoodie cookie smiled as she clutched her lollypop in hand. "We heard the noise and hurried while we could. I wonder how cake hounds got inside the kingdom?"
"Doesn't matter now," stated the ice cream cookie, "the danger is gone."
The merchant cookie smiled warmly as he approached them. "Thank you so much for protecting my goods! I thought I was a goner for sure."
"No problem," Gingerbrave said, "don't think we've met. What's your name?"
"Call me Blueberry Milk Cookie. I was just simply passing by as those monsters came after me."
"Huh. I would have thought someone would have noticed."
Looking back at the other cookies, they all seemed so caught up in what they were doing, it felt like they didn't even notice that a skirmish occurred. Not even when Wizard Cookie's spell was cast.
Strawberry walked up to her friend. "Should we be worried no one's talking to us?"
"I said hi to about three cookies on the way here. None of them answered back," Wizard added.
Gingerbrave hummed. "Guys? Is it weird that I feel like we're not suppose to be here?"
The three felt their dough shiver as they looked at each other. Something was very wrong. And they were piecing it together slowly.
"Hehehehehe!"
A giggle echoed around them as Gingerbrave, Wizard and Strawberry turned to face Blueberry Milk Cookie. Or at least, who use to be. The cookie that stood in place turned to static as it reshaped itself into the trickster himself.
Shadow Milk Cookie.
"And here I thought we could keep this up for about eight more minutes," said the jester, "oh well!"
Quickly, the trio backed up as they wielded their weapons defensively. Gingerbrave and Wizard in front with Strawberry behind them. Someone as unpredictable as him was every reason why their senses sharpened and focused.
"What are you doing here in Crispia," yelled Gingerbrave, "White Lily sealed you back in the Silver Tree!"
"Now now, little cookies-" The jester smirked knowing that Wizard was looking extra irritated at that phrasing. "-you should know a professional always has a plan b in case of . . . interferences. Though I honestly want to see if you can guess where we really are? Go on!"
His comment got them thinking for a bit as they looked around again. Now the cookies around them were frozen still. Petrified in whatever position they were in at the moment. It felt so freaky. But as they pondered it for a moment, an answer came to them.
"Is this . . . not real," Strawberry asked aloud.
"An illusion? No, a dream perhaps," Wizard theorized.
Sounds of an applause came to their hearing. "Ring ding ding! Looks like we do have some smart cookies here! Yes, while I cannot do anything in reality, reaching your minds is nothing more than a simple feat. The only real cookies here are me and you three. A perfect moment for us to chat." There was a small growl that laced his sentences as the trickster walked on air, circling them delightfully.
Gingerbrave pointed his cane at the villain. "Whatever you wanna say, forget it! No way are we trusting a liar like you!"
"Aw, don't be so rude, Ginger~! I have no intention of harming a single crumb on either of you," sung Shadow Milk as he appeared next to the brave cookie to pinch his cheek.
"Lies," Wizard snapped, "we all remember what you did back at the Faerie Kingdom! What you did to Pure Vanilla Cookie! To White Lily Cookie! To Elder Faerie!"
The blue cookie leaned in close to the magic cookie, causing him to back up in fear. "That old fool crumbled on his own terms, mind you! Still, I guess I could take the credit if you're offering it. Ehehehe!"
"Just get out of our dreams! . . . Er, dream . . . since this counts as just one dream-"
Gingerbrave took a chance to hit him with his candy cane, only for it to pass through Shadow Milk like he was a ghost. The beast walked away from them slowly as he rambled on. "In due time, little cookies. For now, I do believe we have something to discuss about that very much will be in your interest!"
"If it means you leave us alone after that, then get it over with," GIngerbrave demanded.
As the jester sat down on the edge of the fountain, he reached for his neck ruff and snapped it open as it hung over his shoulders. It looked weird to see the actual neck of this cookie for a moment. Then he stretched his leotard collar to reveal something underneath.
Something that got the trio's attention for sure.
It was faint, worn overtime, but they could see it clearly. On his chest was a marking of some sort. A thinly lined circle with a three pronged fork in the center. Shadow Milk grinned at their reactions of utter silence and shock. "I'm certain you know what this is. Just like how I know you each have one like this as well."
They flinched. Gingerbrave and Wizard tensing up, and Strawberry reaching for her shoulder as she whimpered.
Shadow Milk snapped his ruff back together as he chuckled. "It's very rare for baked cookies to be wandering around Earthbread these days. But I never thought the first things I would see after waking up would be three very freshly baked cookies! Which only means those idiots are still kicking and making more!" He floats in the air as he hovers closer to them with wide eyes. "Tell me, where exactly is their hut, by chance?"
"W-Why would you ask us that," Wizard stuttered.
"Come now, surely you would remember the way back to your own creators!"
"We don't!" Gingerbrave stepped forward in defense. "We'd rather never go back there, ever!"
"OOOOOoooooh! Rebellious! Mrehehehehe! So I guess that means you're going against your master's wishes then! I must say, I approve!" Shadow Milk playfully leaned back midair as if he were sitting in a recliner.
"Wh . . . What do you mean by that," Strawberry asked while clutching her weapon close to her chest.
In that moment, the jester's smile dropped, exchanging for an expression of confusion. Sitting up he looked at the pink cookie in curiosity. She didn't like that he was. And neither did the others as they stood in front of her.
"Wait . . . do any of you know why you were made?" Silence. Shadow Milk for a moment seemed quite literally clueless for a moment. "Well that's new. Usually cookies aren't baked unless they had a task to accomplish or . . . oh . . . OH! EhehehehahahahaHAHAHAHA!" The beast howled in laughter as he pieced it together. "No way! You were made as snack cookies, weren't you!? And you ran out of there like your life depended on it! OH this is just too perfect! Well, more sad for you, but still."
Each of the young cookies shrunk a little. Memories of the witch's hut were never pleasant. Yet the one thing they never could pin down was why the witches would make them with a consciousness if all they were made to do was be eaten. Even if they tried to not think about it, there would always be times where those questions would come back to haunt them again.
In the end, what they were really was what Shadow Milk said they were. Snacks that were just lucky to be alive by a fluke. In a sense, it made them feel empty inside. Lost? Alone? Sometimes. But more like they had little value to themselves. Just cookies. Nothing more.
The jester could see their dismay as he smiled widely. Landing on his feet, he walked slowly towards them. "I assume you've not met another cookie who was baked like you were? Or at least, another one that escaped fate like you have? I also must assume none of you have told anyone, have you?" They suddenly looked at him in fear as he approached Gingerbrave, patting his head. "Now now, don't you worry. Your little secret origin is safe with me. I should understand after all, what it is like to be a creation of the witches." He wanders behind Strawberry, placing his hands on her shoulders. "In a sense, I suppose that would make us siblings of some sort. Much like me and my comrades are." Finally he moves to Wizard, shifting his hat to fit his head more properly. "Guess that makes me big brother Shadow Milk Cookie, huh? I like the sound of that!"
Wizard stepped back as he fixed his hat and glared at the beast. "As if! Being baked by witches doesn't make us family!"
"Ehe! Why not? It's the closest thing you might get to one."
Gingerbrave gripped his candy cane. "You're wrong! We have friends that already care for us back home! The first time we met, you corrupted an entire kingdom and killed its king! Who also was our friend!"
"A friend who served the witches? The very creatures you defied for survival," the jester clarified, "you do know how to pick them then. Hehehe!"
Getting angry, the brave cookie swung his cane. As he did, Shadow Milk turned into a cloud as he faded away, reappearing at a distance from them. Wizard tried to attempt using lightening magic on him, only for the beast to take it and stand there, unphased by it. They were mad, scared, and wanted out of this dream.
"The point I'm trying to get across here is that your goal to survive the witches is one the cookies of Earthbread will never understand. They consider them to be gods! Deities! Even the St. Pastry Order believes them to be holy beings that only ever have good intentions for them! And yet you trust these cookies with your lives. Though, not enough to let them in on your little secrets."
"And what reason do you have for us to trust you," demanded Wizard.
The grin didn't fail to widen as he spread his arms. "Because we are the only ones powerful enough to accomplish what Dark Enchantress could never accomplish! To kill the witches once and for all!"
The trio gasped in surprise. Could it be done? Should it be done? The witches, erased from the world?
"Tempting, isn't it? A world where there is no need to be afraid of being eaten. A world where we have no fear of anything! One where we can choose to shape it as we wish!"
" . . . You mean destroy," Strawberry uttered, the sounds of irritation bubbling in her tone.
"Ahahahaha! Well, destruction is an important part of making that new world! But in it's place will be one of, well I consider to be never ending fun! And each of you can have a place in that." He holds his hand out graciously. "You are owed at least that for what the witches have done."
In that moment, they all looked at each other. Thoughts crossed their minds, some good intentioned, others slightly selfish. But there truly was no other conclusion for such a decision.
"Maybe that's what you want," Gingerbrave started, "and maybe some of that is something we wanted as well. But to help you accomplish that so you can do whatever you want is something we don't want. Not when it can hurt cookies we care about."
Strawberry, feeling braver, stepped forward as she held out her lollypop. "Our kingdom in Crispia has become a home for us. Not just our friends. One that we vow to protect from the witches and those who would destroy it for their own selfish gains. There are cookies on Earthbread who are kind and gentle. Brave and strong. Ones we know that want the same thing as we do! To have a home and place here!"
"Right!" Wizard stomped his staff on the ground and spoke aloud. "We've found our place in this world! And we plan to fight for it just like everyone else is! So don't you dare think that we'll turn our backs on it for anything less than that!"
They awaited for the jester to speak. Shadow Milk's smile by now had faded to a frown. His glare at them was intimidating and hollow. Though once a moment had passed, he smiled again, smaller this time. "I see. So you've chosen your side then. Alright."
Wizard spat for a bit. "Wha-That's it!? Nothing?! I would have thought you had another speech in there to curveball this whole conversation!"
"No need! Yours was already convincing enough. Very well done. I highly doubt anything I have to offer would be as tantalizing as what I've already given you. Such a shame." Then his eyes widen as well as his grin. "Guess you'll just crumble like the rest of them."
The kingdom caught fire as flames surrounded the trio. Engulfing buildings and cookies within them as they panicked. The intensity of the heat frightened them, almost feeling like it was real. As they looked for an escape, silhouettes of the five beasts rise in the air, glaring them down with bright eyes. Shadow Milk swiftly zooming in close to their faces as he grew large in size and chuckled.
"Just remember. You chose this."
The last thing they heard was his wicked laughter as they were consumed by the fire.
----------------------------------------------
Gingerbrave, Wizard and Strawberry screamed as they woke up that morning. What an awful nightmare that was. They each took a moment to breathe and calm down, grounding themselves in the facts. The Silver Tree was still standing, and the beasts were locked up. They couldn't hurt them . . . for now.
The scream did alert Pure Vanilla, White Lily, as well as some of the faerie cookies. Silverbell and Mercurial Knight had ran in to check on them once they heard the cries, only for the cookies to dismiss the panic as a bad dream. To which they were gentle and comforting about it.
Gingerbrave was wanting to speak up about it, tell them what happened, but was stopped by Wizard and Strawberry who wanted to keep it a secret for now. Too shaken by the incident to really openly talk about it to others. Especially since there was some personal stuff involved in it. He protested, but caved in favor of making them feel more comfortable.
As the day went on, the trio were keeping close to each other, with Strawberry clinging the most to whoever was closest to her. Their nerves were on edge, and feared that they would see Shadow Milk appear in the corner of their sight. Or worse, hear his cackle in the distance.
Pure Vanilla had attempted a few times to try and talk to them, but they kept a lid on things as best as they could. Which felt wrong, but at the same time, it was just how the beast assumed. They never really went into their past with the Ancients. Nor did they plan to.
By the end of the day, the trio were back in their room, dreading the night's sleep. Rightfully so though. Unless Shadow Milk had nothing else to discuss with them that was.
Gingerbrave looked to his hand. At the palm was a mark. Much like Shadow Milk, it had a circle, but the image inside instead was a smiling face. One that looked joyful.
Strawberry once more reached for her shoulder. Even under her hoodie, she could feel the engraving of it as clear as day. Within the circle was an image of a strawberry.
Wizard noticed a reflective surface as he turned to it. Lifting his hat slightly, he shifted his ice cream hair, revealing his own mark, which had a star at the center of it.
Baked by the witches. Meant to be consumed, and ceased to be. What more could there really be to them than that?

Um, can I have part 4, please? and the art to it, I have an idea for this drawing while they're all fighting there, then child y/n thought: "So okay, I think it's time for me to run away" When a little boy runs away, I turn the fight and even Shadow Milk Cookies are after the child. and when the boy thinks that he broke away from them by wiping his forehead. "Fuuh... Is it supposed to be like this in the story? And why did everyone become so weird? So okay, I won't talk about it, we need to look for a way home."as soon as the boy was about to go further, Pure Vanilla Cookie and Shadow Mill Cookie surrounded him from two sides and told him: "are you going far?" And they began to tickle him for making him worry especially Pure Vanilla Cookies. And the rest are looking elsewhere. (how do you like the idea of art? I thought it would be nice to have a good night! ^^)😅

!PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP!
Some time has passed and you weren’t exactly paying attention but somehow Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk were arguing with each other, and you could tell Shadow Milk wasn’t taking it seriously at all. You were just standing there but then you thought of something else you could do while they were distracted. You decided to see if you could find your own way home and went out into the forest. You roamed for a while and saw some pretty interesting stuff but nothing that could possibly get you home but you were a determine little child so you kept going.
It wasn’t until almost an hour later they both realized you were gone. Pure Vanilla called out for you but he didn’t get a response. They looked at each other and started running towards the forest in a quick attempt to find you. They looked for you and went deeper into the forest. Shadow Milk Cookie could sense your presence unfortunately he couldn’t pinpoint where you were. “That ignorant kid don’t they realize how dangerous this forest is…” He was kinda mad but he cared about you so of course he was panicking. On the other hand Pure Vanilla was freaking out. How could he lose you again? To him he was the ignorant one for not keeping an eye on you.
Then they heard a scream just a bit further down the forest…That had to be you…
While you were exploring you didn’t realize the group of spores following you. You had an uneasy feeling that something was behind you, but you were too scared to turn around and face what it was. You build up the courage to turn around and see what it was and you pretty much regret no running then and there. You stood there like a deer in headlights just staring at the group of creatures. That’s when you screamed out of fear, and you saw the creatures go back a bit then slowly made their way to you. In shock you took a step back and kept doing so until your back went against a tree. You covered your face and brace yourself for whatever they were about to do to you.
You heard a crash and you flinched bracing yourself for impact but nothing happened to you. You slowly uncovered your eyes and saw that the creatures were nowhere to be seen. You gave out a sigh of relief and then you heard someone cough. You quickly looked to where you heard it and saw Shadow Milk Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie staring at you. “What do you think you’re doing?” Pure Vanilla asked you. You started sweating and got nervous. You wanted to say something but you stumbled with your words.
Before you could actually say something you got tackled to the grown by Shadow Milk Cookie. Not Hard enough to hurt you but enough to make you fall onto the patches of grass. He started tickling your sides or anywhere to make you start laughing and squirming. You screamed and kicked yelling at him to stop but that was hard to do since you kept interrupting yourself by laughing. This went on for a couple of seconds until you were tuckered out by laughing too much. Pure Vanilla kneeled down and giggled a little bit at your state. “That’s what you get for making us worry.”
