you're right: we are interestingly many aces that has fallen head over heals for him x'D I mean how could we not yet it is still quite interesting and something that could be fun researching a bit further why we gravitate towards him 🤔

Writing this I actually got a few theories in my head (I can only speak for myself of course so take this with as much salt you find nesescary)

For me Käärijä represents an authenticity that is outside of that linked to sexual attraction - he is just fully his own goofy self and that makes people love him. I think he also might be one of the most loved contestant BY the other contestants this year but I could be biased having mostly seen preparty and backstage clips relating to Käärijä and Joker Out.

That is the other thing I really love seeing as an aroace person: that Käärijä just got to be friends with everybody and created very strong bonds with pretty much everybody to the point that half the contestants went to him when the winner was announced instead of congratulating Loreen (no shade on her).

I love that Käärijä shows how important and pure platonic relationships can be and that not everything in the world has to be about romantic chemistry or sex appeal (those two things to me are more of a bonus so I am so not saying that he doesn't have or deserve to have either).

As a sidenote I adore that Käärijä seemingly got adopted by the Joker Out guys from the moment he and Bojan bonded and to me at least the relationship the guys have read very queerplatonic, which again is very ace coded if you ask me.

It doesn't help either that his outfit is very aro coded and the fact he has stated he doesn't really enjoy writing love songs (and has only written 2 himself) 🤣💚

So in short- he is just out here being his authentic self and I love that for him 🥺💚

♡A lot of people thought he was hot and tried to get a date with him, but failed. There were rumours that he was asexual, aromantic. Some people thought that he might have a significant other that goes to another school.

♡But he was actually just into you and didn’t know how to confess. You were this artsy person who wasn’t dumb, but wasn’t the smartest either. Rindou always thought you were cute and you two actually sat together in some classes. That’s how he got to know you.

If it's really bad, Bizly teleports them out into the mortal world, goes to the comfort room and cuddles until Grizzly falls asleep. Clinging onto him like a lifeline.

-- Grizzly’s the anime guy. Bizly’s the listener. Bizly doesn't really understand the fuck Grizzly's talking about but he sits it through for him. Bizly will sit through an hour and a half long rant about this anime he doesn't even know the name of (though he's probably gonna be distracted staring at Grizzly's face the entire time. "Adorable when passionate")

-- Meanwhile, Charlie's actually trying to learn the anime. Asking questions and stuff.

-- Condi probably knows the anime. Grizzly and Condi exchange headcanons often. Randomly barging into each other's rooms after knocking 10 times and half yelling "Have you watched the new episode yet??"

-- Grizzly will sometimes make this wing cocoon thing if he gets overwhelmed.

-- Hey guys, Bizly has trauma too. If someone genuinely accuses him, and pushes it too far, he will cry. Alone. In his room. And he gets uncomfy now as the butt of the joke. The most random, small things can trigger stuff, especially when Bizly’s tired. He flinches when there’s a sudden loud noise. Reacts way more than a god with so many senses should.

-- Cat Bizly. Dog Grizzly. Do they go into space? Sometimes. They can actually turn into the animal. Bizly is a blue cat, Grizzly is a pug. Not sure about puppy grizz but pretty solid on cat biz.

-- Grizzly is overprotective over Bizly. Vise versa. They will literally hiss/growl.

-- Charlie’s usually the big dipper. Gribzly can be both but after the fallen arc, Bizly became small (BIZLY PEQUENO). Condi’s small for Charlie and big for Gribzly. [Listen, we have to shorten some terms. Like removing the “dipper”.]

-- Gribzly. Condicicle. Yes. (They’re still all gay for each other, it’s just those pairs are closer to each other.)

-- Grizzly laughs at almost every single one of Charlie’s jokes. Condi comes right after. Then there’s Bizly, deadpanning. Or making his own joke, while Grizzly’s dying in the background.

-- Too many times people walked into a Gribzly make out session.

-- So despite everything I said about gribzly and charlie, grizzly really does love Charlie. Vise versa. They're usually holding hands when they're out. Usually always. Like, they're both so clingy.

-- They need therapy desperately. I forgot if I said this before. Between Charlie and Ted, I think the council's kind of fucked relationship will pop up in casual conversation at some point in the podcast. They cut it out, but off camera Ted asks if Charlie wants him to help, and offers to therapy the bois.

-- Condi sometimes uses they/he or they/them, depends on the time.

-- I just want to make everyone, even Schlatt, all respectful with identities. Like Schlatt might have teamed up with someone but that someone turns out to be homophobic and even though Schlatt's winning, the ram man's gonna pulverize the homophobe right there if that teammate doesn't apologize/fix their mistake.

-- Bizly or Charlie sometimes walks into Condi and Grizzly clinging to each other as they cry about anime. Bizly slowly closes the door while Charlie asks what's wrong. Depends on how severe the damage is, whether they respond or not.

-- They know the future has changed for them, especially Charlie and Condi, mostly Condi. Charlie sometimes gets nightmares of a swarm of zombies pushing him into lava, a chess game with a ghost, but only thinks those are weird nightmares. Condi knows more. He tries to ignore what the Code is trying to tell him, that this isn’t right and isn’t real.

-- Clinginess meter: past maximum. All of them.

-- Bizly (sometimes) has blue-ish black cat ears.

-- Grizzly has the doggo ears and tail.

-- Charlie can literally turn into slime, right on the spot. It's kinda disturbing so he doesn't do it (or tries to not) in front of other people. It's terrifying, really, seeing him melt.

-- Charlie in my hc looks pretty much the same with his minecraft skin except he has a green cape thing and looks a bit more powerful.

-- Condi is a dragon hyrbid thing. (i got it from here)

-- Oh and also, Bizly's glasses does this small robot eyes screen thing (that is not a good description uhh). Like his sunglasses are like a small screen and theres eyes and shows his emotions. Like fallen biz (HELP ITS JUST. PERMANENTLY MADE A HOME IN MY BRAIN).

-- So this au hc thing. Fallen arc, fallen au canon to here. I guess Charlie and Condi went to the nether (jumped into the pit) bc condi was like ":(" and then the squad fought each other. Bizly was genuinely ready to kill Charlie. Charlie's like "Are- are you hissing??" Cause cat. And then Charlie repents, apologizes, regrets, but that doesn't work until Condi: "im sorry :(" then they're suddenly all gay for each other again and happily ever after.

-- this means they never killed the dragon. dragon and condi are good friends.

-- dragon actually trusts condi enough (i mean, technically, condi created the dragon so) anyways trusts him enough to give him her only egg. The squad needs to raise the dragon and bonds and stuff.

-- Bizly and Grizzly both have the angel wings, Bizly's being more blue and Grizzly's being red and grey.

-- When the teacher is late, Grizzly would be the one in the corner watching anime with Condi, weebs gathering and making a small circle around them.

-- Grizzly writes and reads fanfics. The little (big) pile of notebooks hidden in that one corner of him room is one thing he'll never let anyone look through (besides maybe Condi).

-- When Bizly feels a really strong emotion, his glasses change red like when he was fallen.

Alright, you guys convinced me, here we go with demisexual Albedo hehe 👀

Pairing: Albedo x gn! reader

Content: Demisexual Albedo, Fluff, a bit of angst (mainly related to the demisexuality) with comfort (and acceptance), love confessions, getting together; things get a little steamy towards the end (making out, grinding against each other while fully clothed, the focus being more on being close to each other rather than pleasure; Albedo being a bit inexperienced). I’ll put a divider before that, mainly for any fellow aces who just want to read a bit of comfort without steamy stuff.

INFO: Demisexuality means that someone won’t feel sexually attracted to another person unless they’ve previously formed an emotional bond with that person. Just like asexuality in general, this is a spectrum, so some demisexuals may develop that sort of attraction very fast after a bond is formed, while for others it can take longer and only happens with very few people.

Important: This blog is meant to be a positive space, so I will just put a very general warning here that I won’t tolerate any kind of aphobia. If you have nothing nice to say, just leave, because I don’t want you here.

Anyway, this is for my fellow aspec people: You’re loved and valid, and there is nothing wrong with you. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

As far as Albedo is concerned, he just wasn’t created to form any romantic or sexual relationships, and that’s fine with him —  They’re too much of a hassle to keep up with anyway, so his lack of these feelings just means that he has more time to dedicate to his research. He never thought about it much more beyond that. If anyone asks, he’ll always tell them that he’s fine by himself. He doesn’t need anyone else, so he won’t waste his time on relationships.

That stance changes after meeting you. Slowly but surely you carve out your own space in his life until it becomes impossible for Albedo to deny that there is something special about you. It just seems like everything fits together perfectly —  You’re easy to talk to, give Albedo space when he needs it and listen to him, even when you don’t fully understand what he’s going on about. Somehow, that friendship between you two is so much easier than any other relationship Albedo has ever had, and so, he grows quite fond of you. Before he knows it, your friendship develops into something else, although he can’t quite put his finger on it for the longest time.

It’s clear for everyone else, long before he finally figures it out himself.

Kaeya and Lisa seem to enjoy nothing more than teasing him about his “crush”, Timaeus and Sucrose seem almost confused whenever they see Albedo without you, and even Klee seems to just see you as a part of their family by now.

All the evidence points towards one clear solution: He’s fallen in love with you.

For the first time in his life, Albedo finds himself understanding what the romance novels he reads from time to time are talking about —  The way his heart beats faster when you smile at him, the way his thoughts keep wandering to you, the way he just wants to be in your presence. It’s an unfamiliar feeling, but he doesn’t mind it in the slightest.

Another thing he knows from his romance novels is that the next logical step is to tell you about his feelings and hope you’ll reciprocate. He’s pretty sure you would. Now that he pays more attention to the signs, it’s quite clear that you seem to be just as fond of him as he is of you, so it really shouldn’t be a problem —  If it weren’t for one rather pressing obstacle: He still feels no sexual attraction to you.

He’s read about it countless times. The burning flames of passion that only grow stronger when one is near the person they’re interested in. The deep desire to feel the other in the most intimate ways. He often overhears some of the other knights talk about it, too. Some of them talk about how much they desire their partners, while others even feel that way about complete strangers.

It never made sense to Albedo, and it doesn’t make any more sense with his newfound romantic attraction to you, even though all the books make it seem like the two are closely related to each other.

Sure, he wants to be close to you… But all he desires is to just feel your hand in his or hold you in his arms. Maybe he’d like to share an innocent kiss with you every once in a while —  But that’s as far as it goes for him.

It sits at the back of his mind, driving him insane. Maybe he misread the signs and he just likes you as a friend after all —  But his heart never beats that fast when he’s around Timaeus or Sucrose, for example, and he certainly wouldn’t want to hold either of them close.

No, the way he feels about you is different, and he’s convinced what he feels really is love. So, what is he missing? And, more importantly… Would you even want to be with him if he can’t provide something that appears to be such a major part of relationships?

It doesn’t take long for you to realize that something has changed between you and Albedo. One day you were getting along great, and you finally felt like he might actually reciprocate your feelings… The next he seems to be avoiding you like the plague completely out of the blue.

You’ve already tried asking around, but came up with nothing —  From what you’ve been told so far, Albedo is acting like his usual self around everyone else, he’s not busy with any important research, and if you upset him somehow, he hasn’t mentioned it to anyone.

Normally you’d just give him a bit of space and leave it be, but with how sudden that change was, you can’t help but feel worried. So, after a week with no changes, you finally decide to try and confront him about it, hoping that you’ll be able to somehow fix whatever is wrong.

Albedo is in the process of discussing something with Timaeus when he spots you from afar. You see his eyes widening for a moment before he mumbles a quick goodbye to his student and takes off —  But you’re not going to let him get off so easily this time.

You run after him, and once you get within earshot, try to call out to him. “Albedo, wait! Can we please talk? Just for a moment?”

You see him let out a sigh, but he eventually stops in his tracks, turning around to you. You come to a halt next to him, giving him a concerned frown. “Is there something wrong? I’ve been worried about you.”

He tries to look surprised at your words, but by the look in his eyes, you can tell he knows exactly what you’re talking about. “No, not at all… Why were you worried? I’m doing quite alright.”

You cross your arms. “It doesn’t take a genius to figure out you’ve been avoiding me, you know?” A hint of regret flashes across his face, so you soften your tone a little, reaching out a hand to gently brush his arm. “If I did anything to upset you, I’m sorry. I can assure you, it wasn’t my intention. But… If you could just tell me what I did, maybe we can work this out somehow? I really wouldn’t want to lose you. Not after we’ve been getting along so well.”

Albedo quickly shakes his head. “No, no, you didn’t upset me… I’m sorry if I worried you. There were some things I had to sort out, but I now realize that avoiding you wasn’t the best solution.” He glances over at you, only to see your confused expression. With a sigh, Albedo reaches out to gently hold your hand, lightly squeezing it. “Y/n, I’ve recently been dealing with a lot of… Unfamiliar feelings. Mostly revolving around you. I should have just said something, but…” He trails off, averting his gaze.

Your eyes widen at his confession before a smile finds its way to your lips. Now you get why he was avoiding you —  For someone who never experienced these feelings before, it must have been quite confusing. “I think I understand now. Albedo… I feel that way about you as well.” You gently squeeze his hand back, hoping that knowing you feel the same way will help him relax as well. A feeling of giddiness rushes over you. This isn’t exactly how you imagined your big confession to happen, but the outcome seems to be the same, so it doesn’t matter —  You’re happy either way.

Albedo, on the other hand, doesn’t seem too thrilled. Quite the opposite, actually. Suddenly, the air feels heavy around the two of you. “I’m glad you feel that way, I really do, but…” He hesitates before taking a deep, slightly shaky breath, “I’m not sure we could really be together.”

You frown, stepping closer to lay a hand on his shoulder. “Why not? What’s wrong?” You ask, keeping your tone as gentle as possible. The last thing you want now is to scare him away.

Albedo seems reluctant, a slight blush on his face. “I do love you, but… I’m afraid I don’t feel any… Sexual attraction to you. Isn’t that important to human relationships? It seems to be important to everyone else…” His voice is barely more than a quiet mumble, but luckily you’re close enough to understand him.

You lay a hand on his cheek, softly smiling at him. “If that’s all you’re worried about, I can assure you, it’s alright.” Carefully you pull Albedo into your arms, holding him close as he melts into your embrace. “I love you, and as long as we’re together, that’s all I could ever ask for. Anything beyond that is just a bonus that I can do without,” you assure him.

You feel his arms close around you, holding you tight as Albedo’s face is buried against your chest. “Are you sure? I bet there are other people who could-”

You quickly shake your head, gently stroking his hair as you cut him off. “That doesn’t matter to me. I want to be with you, Albedo. Other people don’t interest me. So please, don’t even worry about that… Alright?”

The tension leaves Albedo’s body at your words, and you can feel him relax against you. 

“Well, if that’s the case… I’ll gladly be with you.” When he looks up at you again, you finally see the soft smile on his face you were hoping for earlier as he leans in to leave a small kiss on your cheek.

Being with you is easy. It’s natural, like things were always meant to be this way. And it’s certainly not the huge hassle Albedo always expected it to be. He’s happy with the way things are between you two, and you are as well —  You make sure to frequently remind him of that, never wanting him to feel like he’s not enough for you.

Albedo’s favorite thing is how with you, he can just be himself. He doesn’t need to always rely on himself, and he doesn’t need to lock his feelings away. (He couldn’t even if he tried —  Somehow, you can always tell how he’s feeling.) And so, for possibly the first time in his life, Albedo allows himself to feel —  Happiness, sadness, and everything in between.

You’re always there, ready to laugh with him, offer comfort when he’s sad and convince him to rest when he’s tired. To be known so thoroughly by another human being… It’s strange, but ultimately Albedo decides that he likes this bond between you.

It’s one night after Albedo returns from a longer stay up on Dragonspine when the attraction sets in. It hits him out of nowhere with such an intensity that it’s impossible to ignore.

You’re snuggled up to Albedo, your arms tightly wrapped around him and resting your head on his chest, listening to the steady thumping of his heartbeat. Over and over again you lift your head and shift to cup Albedo’s cheeks before leaning in to leave small kisses all over his face. Albedo lies there with a soft smile as he keeps his eyes closed, taking note of the little pattern you’re following… A kiss on the forehead, one on his temple, on his nose, his cheek, and then… His hand grazes your skin as your lips meet his, keeping you in place to steal a few more kisses from you. He allows them to hold a bit more urgency than usual, quickly letting them grow into more than just innocent kisses.

You softly smile against his lips, your body acting on its own as you carefully press yourself against him, resting a hand against Albedo’s chest, and- You cut yourself off before you get too carried away, heat rising to your cheeks.

It’s not often that the two of you make out, and usually, Albedo puts a stop to it when it gets too much —  So you always want to make sure not to overwhelm him and that he gets a chance to say something if he doesn’t want to continue. You don’t mind it when he does, usually just opting to cuddle with him instead, and making sure he knows it’s okay.

But tonight, Albedo doesn’t stop you. He just gently runs a hand down your back, letting it rest on your hip. “Would you like to continue this?” He asks sheepishly, his thumb mindlessly tracing the sliver of exposed skin from where your shirt slightly rode up during the kissing.

“Are you sure? You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, you know?” You remind him, gently cupping his cheek.

Albedo nods. “I know that. But right now… I’d just like to feel as close to you as I possibly can. I enjoy this, so if you want to go on, we can.”

So you shift to sit on his lap, your legs spread on either side of his hips, and as you lean in to kiss him once again, you can feel a slight hardness pressing against you. You give an experimental roll of your hips against his, hearing how Albedo lets out a shaky breath in response.

“Any time you want to stop, just tell me.” You whisper, peppering kisses across his face.

Albedo just nods, wrapping his arms tightly around you as he buries his face against your neck, leaving small kisses all over your skin. He responds to the rolling of your hips by pressing himself up against you as well, and soon enough you can feel the hardness growing against you. His arms slip down towards your waist and he slips them under your shirt, just letting his hands rest on your hips, feeling the warmth of your skin.

You hold him in your arms as well, pressing kisses wherever you can reach while letting out small whimpers against his skin, mixed in with Albedo’s quiet moans.

You keep grinding against each other like that until you eventually fall apart in each other’s arms whilst breathlessly declaring your love for each other.

Albedo holds you in his arms, tracing small patterns on your back as he catches his breath. Your head is resting on his chest, listening to his heartbeat once again while one of your hands is still tangled in his hair, gently caressing it.

“I really enjoyed that,” Albedo admits after a while, gently kissing the top of your head.

You hum in agreement, softly smiling. “Yeah. I’m glad you liked it as well.”

Albedo nods, hugging you tightly. “You know, I think… If it’s always like this… If we can always be that close to each other… I feel like we can do this more often.”

You prop your chin on one of your arms, using the other to cup Albedo’s cheek. “As long as you’re comfortable, I’d like that a lot. Just remember, you don’t need to rush into anything. If we do this, I want to make sure it’s enjoyable for both of us.”

“I’m sure it will be,” Albedo says, pulling you into a tight embrace once again.

so there’s a new hirakagi chapter...can I talk about it a little?

And it gave me a lot ot think about, about Hirano and Kagiura’s approaches towards their own relationship and, of course, about the way Hirano’s reading as asexual/demisexual kinda gets more valid as the story goes on.

I don’t want to put words on the author’s mouth, so please consider my little analysis with a grain of salt. I’m just an ace person who relates...way too much to Hirano so reading this manga is one hell of a slap to the face

Getting the basics out of the way, I’m going to avoid comparing hirakagi to its main series because I don’t really think that’s a fair thing to do most of the times. I’m jut going to make some observations.

1) In opposition to Sasamiya, Love as in Romantic Connection doesn’t come naturally to both parties.

Love as a romantic connection is a farily recent concept in the story, pretty much consolidated by Kagiura’s confesssion arc ending. His love for Hirano encompasses cherishing and admiring him as a person, but also feelings of possessiveness, jealousy and, what’s going to be a very important topic here: Lust

All of those feelings weren’t clear in Kagiura’s heart until his conversation with Niibashi in the cafeteria. His version of Romantic Love was the idealized image of his parents laughing together that was engraved in his mind as a kid. It was... kind of childish. Comparable to a little kid telling their teacher they wanted to marry them.

Kagiura being childish is a recurring idea in the story that culminated in the latest chapter, but we’re gonna get there. 

tldr: Kagiura’s arc to this point went from loving Hirano in a childish way to actually considering all the matters of romantic love, and the big thing that led him there was realizing his sexual attraction towards Hirano. 

the thing is... from this point on, he’s realizing Hirano doesn’t love him back in that way, and in Kagiura’s head, it’s because they’re the same gender.

Kagi never really had time to get this out of his head, beside deciding by himself that the best strategy was to make Hirano fully understand his feelings (by saying it all the time, whenever he could.).

Now, the real matter of interest. The other guy. 

Some things about Hirano that are laid out very explictly in the story 

1) He has no relationship experience at all

2) He doesn’t read his own actions in any romantic context and has trouble identifiying what a “romantic action” or what “acting like a couple” would be like. 

3) He has never expressed romantic interest. No, Not even in Kagiura. Hirano has never fallen in love with anyone.

Hirano is a person who doesn’t really put walls between himself and other people like Sasaki used to do when he was in middle school for example, he just has a personality shaped by caring instincts and emotional constipation, so he feels like a walking contradiction. 

He has an urge to rescue Sasaki from wallowing in his inertia-like state in their first year of high school (First Years Novel), he cares for Miyano’s well being and about his relationship with Sasaki, he cares about Ogasawara enough to spend time with him when he’s fighting his girlfriend. Hirano’s actually a very kind person and has earned the “mommy Hirano” nickname Sasaki gave him, tbh.

Thing is, until now, this story has been about him recognizing that there’s no one he treats as earnestly kindly as his little roomie, Kagi-kun. And about him recognizing that he does it because he likes it.

Hirano summed up his feelings much better than I could ever in chapter 15

His care and devotion to Kagiura is honest and heartfelt, he recongizes he loves him, loves him so much that he stopped being able to imagine himself graduating and leaving their little dorm life behind, loves him so much that he wants to see Kagiura smile, support him all the way through any trouble they might have, eat all the damn green peppers on his plate. 

Thing is, that’s love, but, as much as we readers have our heartstrings tugged by it and as much and it makes Kagi’s heart soar to the skies when he hears it, that’s not Romantic Love. 

Hirano thinks of Kagi as good-looking. That he must get confessions all the time and get harrassed by girls on his games. That anyone having a crush on him is justified. 

Kagi thinks of Hirano as someone he desires. His little teenage brain wants kissing, touching around, more than kissing. 

Right now, Hirano’s love is not enough for Kagiura’s love. And that’s what’s making Kagiura frustrated, because it’s very hard for him to separate those actions when he’s the one who feels this hurricane of feelings swriling within him, and it’s harder to undertstand how Hirano doesn’t see it at all. To Kagiura, Hirano is a person completely able to feel the same as himself.

It’s why this scene in this week’s chapter was so important

Hirano TELLS HIM. He doesn’t get the point, touching Kagi is natural to him because they are close and he feels love for Kagi, he doesn’t understand his reactions at all. Because he’s not attracted to Kagi and most likely was never attracted to anything in life except for PLANES and BALLPOINT PENS.

and Niibashi’s advice is definetely going to help the two of them at some point, because as we’ve seen in chapter 12, Hirano’s little engines start turning whenever he sees Kagiura as someone who can fend for himself, but I am foreseeing the gigantic conflitct this is going to brings inthe not-so-near future. Good luck for these two. 

But right now, I want to talk about how Hirano and Kagiura’s dynamic with feelings of love feels extremely familiar, coming from an asexual person that has been in the situation of realizing “my affection doesn’t fullfil what you want.”

That feeling is painful, my guys, it’s that little bit of you that tells you you’re different from most people and that Romantic Love is really, really, really complicated. 

It’s those little things about Hirano and his responses to Kagiura’s advances that make it kind of hard for me to believe this was a simple coincidence. Hirano’s life is “the struggles of dealing with allo people” lmao. 

Of course, I’m not Harusono-sensei and I do see that in order for this romance to take off at some point, Hirano’s going to have the sexual part of love hit him like a trainwreck. (doesn’t make him any less ace for me though, demi people exist, lol)

But it’s not a take that I see often, and considering most people I’ve seen online see Hirano’s realization more like a trigger to release all the actual feelings he’s been suppressing, and not this slowly  building and changing way to love someone, I just felt like sharing my own thoughts, Hirano to Kagiura made me do a lot of self reflection about myself at the time I was reading it because of how accurate the experience feels to me. 

Hope you guys enjoyed this update as much as I did, Niibashi is always iconic with his reactions, love that guy. August is going to take a while to come, so I guess, brace ourselves for the electra complex memes.

i got rejected, again.

i'm 23. a little over half a year on T. i've only had one boyfriend and that lasted three months. (the reasons for our break up were numerous, but the main one was we basically weren't even attracted each other, we were better off as friends.) the only other people i know about that liked me in a romantic (or sexual way) were 1) my female friend who told me after i complained one day that no one wants me to make me feel better about myself and 2) my classmate in 1st grade whom i hated.

i've had plenty of crushes and even loves throughout the years. when i was a teen, i struggled with a lot of shame around romantic feelings and it was almost impossible for me to talk to people whom i've liked, let alone ask them out. when it got a little better, i would hang out with my crushes and try to make moves that weren't obvious and could be interpreted in numerous ways in hopes of them catching it and reciprocating with bigger moves. it never worked. some people i was sure they were flirting with me. it turned out they weren't. a big portion of the people i liked turned out to be taken. I've always fallen too fast and too hard without even really knowing them, and when i got to know this information, it was too late. i got my heart broken. i always got very attached to people (romantic interests and friends, and the latter hurt more), too fast and too strong for my own good. it's something i've been working on in therapy for 7 years already. i also got diagnosed with depression and an anxiety disorder 7 years ago. i've come a long way and i've been seeing incredible results, but i'm still not where i want to be.

in the past three years, i've come out and started my transition. i also lost my religion and have been dismantling the complex system of beliefs that has been holding me down. these two things significantly improved my relationship with my body and my sexuality. i'm less dysphoric and i like my own body now. i'm no longer scared of having sexual fantasies. (when i was little, they made me believe having those was equivalent to raping that person) i've confessed to three men and a half (half because the confession might have not been clear and he didn't really react to it, but he also flirted with me before?? i'm gonna talk to him about it soon). i got rejected those three times (one guy's reason was that i'm trans). i also got rejected a few more times without confessing, that was on dating apps. and there were a few more unrequited loves these past three years that didn't even reject me, but it was clear they had no interest in me (they were mostly taken, as i later found out).

i've never had sex. ex-boyfriend was a sex-repulsed asexual. he's the only person i ever kissed. i'm not against hook ups, but i feel like it would be safer for me to have first sex with someone close to me who i can trust. i'm scared for my first time to be with a stranger.

i have a hard time flirting with people. it's difficult and nerve-wracking for me unless i can see that that person is interested too (if you're wondering who i flirted with, it was one of the guys who rejected me later. he flirted with me too, at least it looked that way.) i don't know where the line is, what's appropriate and what isn't. i've flirted with this one guy and i feel like it has no effect?? i'm scared of being too gross. i'm also scared of flirting and immediately being rejected because i read the room wrong and that person only sees me as a friend. i'm scared of the humiliation. i'm scared of feeling less than. i'm scared of the other person being mean to me. i know rejection is a part of life and it's not the end of the world, but i feel like i've been rejected so many times compared to the number of times i haven't (1), that each rejection just stacks one another. i feel dysregulated. i feel inferior sometimes. all the thoughts and feelings are so complicated. i feel like i never calm down and heal fully. it just continues on.

my options are significantly smaller than those of the majority because i'm trans and gay. i also have a very particular type that's hard to find. i've fallen for people outside my type, too, but in general, i'm not really attracted to a big number of people, which too makes my options smaller. it's not like i don't meet any new people, i do, through friends, on dating apps, at school, at pride events... but i don't go to clubs or bars. i'm shy and scared. i might go soon though.

i've mostly gone for cis men. i think i'd have more of a chance if i went for trans men. i see a lot of trans people dating each other and they're so happy. they say T4T is amazing. it's not like i wouldn't date a trans guy. but so far the trans men i've known just weren't my type. and if i was attracted to them, i later found their personality unlikable (one manipulated me and gaslighted me). as i said, my type is very specific. i like men who are more femme, but in a certain way. i also have a thing for long hair. i myself present more femme and have long hair. i wonder if it's just internalized transphobia. that maybe i should be attracted to more trans men. but i don't fully believe i'm wrong for this. i just think trans men tend to go for masculinity or short-haired androgyny more often and i'm not attracted to that very often. you might think – it's not all about looks! if you like someone, you'll start to find them attractive no matter what they look like. and yeah. i know. but they should interest me in some way, right? and since i've been super busy (uni + two jobs) and honestly have a lot of friends already that i'm trying to keep contact with, i haven't really felt the need to connect with more people unless i'm already attracted to them.

i've done a lot of complaining here. you might find me annoying. i just needed to vent somewhere. because frankly, i'm just fucking tired. and i'm scared that i will never find someone. it's not just about a long term relationship. i wonder if there's even one person that's attracted to me. i know it's not other people's fault. i have a lot of problems to deal with that make dating harder for me. I know i should've been more proactive in the past and i still should be. it's just that each step carries a new possibility of rejection. and i wonder if there's a point when i can't take it anymore. there's currently someone i really like. he flirted with me. i need to talk to him and figure what's up. it's just that i'm so scared. all the time. i've overcame my fear with him so many times – to talk to him, to ask him to hang out, to flirt with him... sometimes i've been let down. i don't know what he wants. it's been a long time and i wonder if it ever ends up somewhere other than a friendship. i'm scared that even if he likes me, he'll give up on me because i'm not proactive enough. my fear makes me fuck my chances up. but i can't help myself sometimes.

Lucifer/The Devil (Genderlfuid/Pansexual)

The Devil is probably the most powerfull demon on earth, not even his fallen siblings compare to his powers. Why? Nobody knows. He's the oldest of the demons and second-oldest when compared to ALL of his siblings. Although of his tough extirior(?) he is actually just a wittle guy that needs a break of everyones bs desperatly. To him, his most important duty is protecting the family he still has, with his very life. They may have fallen but he still cares deeply about his siblings. All over he may seem like he would kill you in an instant for coughing (wich he will if there's a good reason for it) but he is infact a very logical man.

Beelzebub/Beelze(pronounced like "Bells" btw if there's confusion) (Cisfemale/Bisexual)

Beelze is the mute Princess of Gluttony, she can only talk with the help of a special Collar made by the gatekeeper. She is a very sceptical person who never judges a book by it's cover, that doesn't mean there aren't certain people she just doesn't trust tho. Dice is one of those people, she just does not trust him, maybe she knows something the devil isn't aware of. She is very overprotective of her family and will literally kill someone for making a wrong comment. She will also be a very supportive character of Ink and care-taker of levi.

Leviathen/Levi (laughs in the face of gender/aroace)

Levi; the mentally unstable prince of envy, while he doesn't really represent his sin greatly, he makes up with it with his personality. He's always smiling and generally just very fun to be around considering his child-like behavior at times. Altough in reality he does get overwhelemed very easily and it takes him a bit to calm down again. When Leviathen gets angry you better run, since he is one of the most powerful beings in hell. He's the main characters fun uncle and often plays the role of the comic-relief.

Mammon (Demiboy/Bisexual)

Mammon is the Blind, edgy, grumpy character that just needs some affection. They weren't always like this, while Satan was still alive he was quite good company. The Incident broke him tho. He has a hard time getting around no thanks to his blindness and uses hellhounds as basically guide-dogs. He distanced himself alot from his family and barely talks to any of them. They can never forgive Lucifer after what he did.

Satan/Satanas (Any pronouns/unlabeled)

Asmodeus/Ozzy (doesn't give a shit/pansexual)

Ozzy is a very cocky person (in more ways than one ;])(okay I'm sorry that one was bad) but a very comfortable dude to hang out with. Contrary(?) to popular believe, he actually does respect boundaries. He is kind of a comfort-person for anyone who is unsure about their Identity, may it be sexual,romantic,gender or just overall. He is supportive boi.

Belphegor/Belphi (Cismale[very confused abt his gender]/doesn't know what He's into He just falls in love with ppl)

Belphegor is the prince of sloth so there's no surprise that he's mostly just relaxing. Other than the other Princes He doesn't have fur, but is covered in feathers. He's just existing and not caring about anything.

Ink/the kid/kiddo/kid/Inky (Cismale/Biromantic/Asexual)

Ink, the main character and the devils and Dice's adopted son. He was found in the back-ally of the casino, badly injured, when he was only 6yrs old. At first it was asumed that he's a toddler due to him being severly smaller than anyone else. He's still pretty small only reaching about 1,3 metres is size (americans google bc I have no Idea) He works as anything the devil needs him to be really, Dealer, Waiter, Barista, Bounty-hunter or Assasin, He doesn't care.

You're a NEXT who lives in a small town just outside of the city of Sternbild. You've made a decent living for yourself for many years, but never got the chance to follow your dream: becoming a nurse to aid the unwell. Finally getting to a stable point in your life, you applied to several colleges-- and were accepted to an acclaimed university in Sternbild!

At first you were embarrassed, thinking you'd be the oldest student in a room full of youths fresh out of high-school. To your relief, there were actually a few other people in your medical classes closer to your age. In fact, there was one person that was a year older than you... Kotetsu T. Kaburagi.

You'd heard about him in passing, of course. Mr. Kaburagi was a famous hero, who recently helped save the city from L. L. Audun, Gregory Sunshine, and the Abbas Prison Disaster! Sadly though, he lost his NEXT powers in the process... and had to retire from being a hero for good. When asked why Kotetsu was trying to get a degree in medicine, he claimed that he had taken an interest in physical therapy when his partner Barnaby injured his leg. That makes sense. When it came down to it, he and you both had the same dream-- helping people in need.

That was the dream, anyway. In reality, you felt bad for the old man. You weren't exactly a spring chicken yourself, but his terrible memory made you worry if he'd ever pass something like Anatomy & Phys. When he jokingly suggested you tutoring him, you jumped at the chance.

It's been nearly two years, now. You've come to know Kotetsu much more than just 'ex-hero Wild Tiger from the news' or 'the classmate who fails nearly every test'. What started as exchanging small details about your lives has become sharing each other's struggles. Kotetsu helps you with your NEXT powers, and you help him with his lack of them. Formal meetings in the college library have now become Kotetsu making fried rice in your kitchen, while you read off flash cards to him. Kotetsu using his phone to show you Hero TV clips has become you having dinner with his family while cheering Barnaby on, live from the Kaburagi's television. What started as-- "Your daughter seems very mature." "So you were talking with your old coworker Barnaby?" "I appreciate you inviting me out for a drink, Kaburagi-san." --has become "Ha! Kaede's going to kill you!" "How's Bunny doing?" "Congrats on passing, Kotetsu!! Drinks are on me, tonight!"

At first you were annoyed at this bumbling man and his foolish behavior. How dare he preach to you about studying too much while he wrecks his sleep schedule from trying to be friendly-neighborhood-hero-of-the-streets all night! But now... you've come to appreciate him as a warmhearted, sensitive guy who tries his very best. Someone who hides his pain, because he's so considerate of others he forgets to consider himself. A workaholic who loves his daughter, who loves his friends, but is still trying so hard to be true to his heart. To replace the dream he he had lost with a new one. ...you'd be lying if you said you hadn't fallen for him. Perhaps further than you could have imagined.

It was a Saturday night, the two of you go out to his favorite bar. You can tell Kotetsu is frustrated, but hiding it from you (as per usual). After a few drinks, he finally reveals he got into an argument with Kaede.

"She wanted me to try out this dating app, but I told her I wasn't interested." Kotetsu explained to you as he swirled his glass. "She's just trying to help you." You reply, "I mean, you do seem pretty lonely sometimes." "I'm fine being alone!" Kotetsu countered, putting on a charming façade, "I'm a too-cool-for-you single man!" "No you're not." you flatly rebuffed. Kotetsu groaned, "Yeah..."

He cut the act, taking a swig before continuing, "I told her that I wasn't sure if I was ready to love again... But she said Tomoe would be disappointed in me for being so pathetic......" "Don't worry about it too much," you console him, putting a hand on his shoulder, "I'm sure Tomoe would want you to be comfortable in a relationship. Trying to force it would just hurt both you and the other person involved." Kotetsu lips curled up into a little smile, the kind that made the scary tiger look like a soft kitten, "Yeah, you're right."

"Plus!" suddenly, his mood brightened, "I don't need a dating app, anyway! I already have someone in mind!"

"You're kidding?" "Nope!" "Who is it?!" He sing-song-edly replied, "That's a secret~"

You take a moment to think. You grin evilly, "Fire Emblem?" "What?! No!" Darn.

The egg-timer in your brain ticked as you thought. Then, with a ding the obvious answer dawned on you-- "...it's Barnaby, isn't it?" "H-HUH?!" Kotetsu looked like he would fall out of his seat, floored by your astute suggestion.

You suddenly remember something that makes you grin twice as evilly as before, "Oh, that's right! Remember? There was that one interview where you confessed your love for him!" Kotetsu, as you planned, had his entire face go red. He blundered through his words in a overly flustered manner, "That was taken completely out of context!!" "Oh really~?" you goad. You already know the context, but you enjoy sitting back and listening to Kotetsu's silly voice when he goes off on one of his patented Old Man Lectures (tm). "It was during that charity event Fire Emblem was hosting!" Kotetsu started,

"Fire Emblem gave a huge speech about how true love is about more than just sex or romance. How it's about trusting someone completely with your feelings. About how girls are allowed to say they love their best friends, but when men do it they're assumed to be gay. And they were right! Men should be able to tell their friends they love them! I really believed them! I was so moved by their speech that I couldn't help but--"

You cut him off with a smirk, "-couldn't help but make a fool of your coworker in front of thousands of viewers?" Kotetsu mumbled angrily at that. He slumped against the bar with an adorably grumpy expression, and took another swig of his glass.

You soften your tone, "I'm just teasing you, Kotetsu. I know you hate it when creepy fans make your relationship with Barnaby awkward." He looked up at you like a sulking puppy, "Yeah..."

"That being said... Part of me does wonder..." Kotetsu shoots you a betrayed look, "Eh?!" You hold your hands up defensively, "Hear me out-!"

"You told me one time that you invited Bunny over to your place for champagne, but that it was ruined because he misunderstood you and invited all your other friends along?" "....yeah?" "And also that you had dreams of an actress with blonde hair and green eyes... one that looks suspiciously similar to Bunny?" Kotetsu sweats, "...y-yeah??" "So? Doesn't that sound at least like a crush?" "W-what?! That's crazy!!" Kotetsu flailed about. But he was protesting too much, and as soon as he saw the look you were giving him he realized it was too late.

Kotetsu sighed in defeat, "You're too smart. I can't hide anything from you." You gasp excitedly at that. You were right! He DID have feelings for Bunny! ...wait. Oh no. He has feelings for Bunny... for someone else... You stare at him expectantly, not sure how to feel about this revelation.

Kotetsu leaned back, "I think it's because Bunny was the closest I'd ever gotten to someone since, well..." he rubbed at his ring finger. You nodded in understanding.

After Tomoe, Kotetsu closed himself off from sharing his true feelings with other people. Barnaby and him were obligated to work together- and ironically that made Barnaby the perfect candidate. As heroes, they were forced to trust each other. To literally put their lives on the line for one another. You remember Kotetsu introducing you to Barnaby. The two of them were so comfortable around one another that it felt like talking to an old married couple... With that kind of understanding, it's no wonder something deeper might blossom between them.

Meanwhile here you were. Just someone Kotetsu had gone to college classes with. You've checked in on Kotetsu, forcing him to stop drinking and get some fresh air while he was having depressive episodes. You've patched him up when he was still clinging onto the idea of being a hero, and doing reckless things constantly. But how could that ever compare to fighting criminals together? To going on TV together? To saving the entire city together? You feel a pit begin to form in your stomach.

All these thoughts swim in your head as Kotetsu continues to explain-- "I couldn't help it when old desires I had came up to the surface." he takes another sip, "But it really was just a passing crush at most." You're genuinely curious at this point, "Did you... ever say anything to him?" Kotetsu sighed... "I tried my best not to... but like you just did, he found out." You could infer from his tone of voice that it didn't end well, "Oh no...." Kotetsu grinned in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his head, "I got re-ject-eeed!" "Dang!" you consoled him, "That's too bad." Though (and you're not exactly proud about this) you're actually relieved to hear this news.

"Yeah..." Kotetsu doesn't seem too upset, mostly awkward, "Bunny told me that he loved me as a friend, but he doesn't swing that way." "Aaah... it makes sense. He's always such a show-off to his female fans." "No no, he said he wasn't interested in women, either. It's called..." Kotetsu scratched his beard as he struggled, "uh- arrow-something...?" You chimed in, "Aromantic Asexual?" Kotetsu points at you excitedly, "Yeah, that's what he said!!" "Wow..." you were genuinely surprised, "I never would have guessed." "Yeah, he keeps it a secret to protect his 'sexy celebrity image'." Kotetsu clarified mockingly. You frown, "...isn't he going to be mad you just told me about it, then?" Kotetsu's brow furrowed at that. Finally, he gave a comedically delayed, "...shit! Whatever you do, don't tell anyo-!" You laughed, "Don't worry, my lips are sealed!"

There was an awkward silence. Then suddenly you remembered what started this conversation topic-

"So wait... if it's not Bunny... who is the person you had in mind?" Kotetsu froze, getting one of his characteristically dopey expressions, "H-huh?" "The reason you 'don't need a dating app'! If it's not Fire Emblem, and it's not Bunny--" you think to yourself, 'I highly doubt it's Blue Rose, as much as she'd probably wish it was', "--then who is it??"

"Eugh- w-well..." Kotetsu is back to flubbering again... until he gets an idea, "It's one of my fans, from when I was Wild Tiger!" You didn't even try to hide your incredulous tone, "Oh really?" "And how come I've never heard of this person, if you're so keen on dating them?" "B-because like I said, it's a secret! I didn't want to disappoint all my other raving fans, you see." "...sure." you roll your eyes.

As you take a drink of your own beverage, you notice Kotetsu is staring at you. He has a familiar twinkle in his golden-brown eyes. The look he had when there was something he was trying to hide. Something eating away at him...

You stare back at him for a quite a while, before he realizes you're both gazing into each other's eyes. He immediately looked down at the table, avoiding your face in embarrassment.

Finally... you get the courage to ask... "Is it me?"

You swear you see Kotetsu shiver at that. "E-eh??" he nervously sweats again.

"Am I the one you want to date, Kotetsu?" you repeat, in no uncertain terms.

He stares at you again. This time you can really see the hesitation in his face. He absentmindedly puts his ring finger up to his lips... mumbling into his hands... "I told you... it's... another person. One of my old fans."

"So it's not me?"

You can hear the 'Please stop asking' pain in his voice as he states, "...no. It's not you. You're just my friend."

That last sentence sounded like he was trying to convince himself more than anyone. But still... Kotetsu's mind worked in strange ways. Maybe you really were wrong?

"That's okay. Sorry for asking." you backpedalled, "And don't worry, I don't have feelings for you or anything! Just being friends is fine with me." But then you added under your breath, "I really wouldn't mind if you wanted to ask me out, though..."

"What?" Kotetsu leaned in, seeming as though he didn't hear that last part. But you cover it up, not wanting the situation to get awkward again, "Hey, how about I get you another round? You promised to tell me the story of how you and Rock Bison stopped a monorail together!"

Kotetsu still seemed a bit on edge, but took the hint. He gave you a goofy grin that made it feel like sunshine indoors, "Hell yeah!"

Later that night...

As the designated driver, you escorted Kotetsu back home to his apartment.

"Hey... areyou ssure... about the not-having-feelings forme ththing?" Kotetsu drunkenly asked as he wobbled up the steps to his front door.

You forced a smile, "Yes." Helping him inside, you gave him a glass of water. "But--" "Kotetsu," you cut him off before he could question you, "Listen to me."

"Over this past semester I feel as though I know you enough to at least be your close friend." "That'scuz you are!" he replied with a drunken grin. You kept going, "So I have to say... I may not be the person you're pining over, but if I was... I'd want you to know that I care about you being happy more than I do about getting into a relationship. Because you are amazing. Even if you mess up all the time, it's always for the right reasons. You may cut your leg trying to save a cat from a tree, but seeing you try makes my life so much brighter. I'd tell you that... I know I could never replace Tomoe, but I want to help you pick up those pieces she left behind. Whether that's from keeping you warm on a lonely night, or simply just being there as your shoulder to cry on during the day. Because I love you. Not just as a hero, not just as a celebrity, but as Kotetsu. My friend."

"A-at least, that's what I'd say, if I were th--" you are about to finish when hear a sniffling sound.

Kotetsu is laying his head down on his living room table, ugly-sobbing into his arms. "K-Kotetsu?!" you fret, reaching towards him.

"Th...thaat'sso b-beautiful!!!" his voice is slurring not just from the alcohol, but from the tears. You chuckle, not really sure what else to say. Kotetsu rubs his eyes, then drunkenly says, "I- I love you too, pal!!" "W-wait, what?!" your heart raced, "Kotetsu, it was just an example, I didn't mean--!" But your attempt to respect sober Kotetsu's wishes fell on deaf ears, as drunken Kotetsu continued to spill his heart out-- "I- I mean it! Really!! I'm sso bad at thiss kinda thing! Antonio and Bunny have been so busy with hero work, Muramasa's got his own family to deal with, Kaede's off at boarding school--" he sniffed loudly, "Y-you're the only one that's really been here for me!! I'm so lucky to have you!" You couldn't help but smile at that. "I'msorry for lyingtoyou, I just-- I keepthinking of Tomoe- a-and Bunny rejecting me- a-and...!" Kotetsu tried to keep talking, but it had quickly devolved into incoherent sobbing. You patted him on the back, forcing him to drink the glass of water, "C'mon, Tiger. Let's get you to bed, okay?" You escorted Kotetsu to the bathroom, then waited until he came back out in his pajamas. "You okay?" you asked as Kotetsu got into his bed. He smiled, voice still cracking, "Y-yeah... I'll be fine." You nod, heading towards the door, "I'll come by to check on you tomorrow." The last thing you hear him say is a soft, "Thank you..."

Are any of the arachnikid’s parents queer?

Probably.

I can see Miles' parents being some flavor of queer but they are "straight enough" that they never really questioned it and so don't technically identify as queer.

Peni's dad was probably bisexual maybe. He might have identified with the term or maybe he was "straight but guys look nice" kind of guy for the most part. I think kits mom was fully cishet. Aunt and Uncle I don't really have an idea at the moment. They conditionally support the queer community (when it benefits them) so they are probably not queer or if they are they are the kind of queers that side the oppressors because it would benefit them in the short term.

Gwen's dad is definitely cishet but he is very supportive. MAYBE he could be asexual but had fallen in love and still had a kid with his wife (or girlfriend or whatever she was to him).

Hobie's parents were probably really bad bigots. They abandoned their kid because of a skin condition, I doubt they would be more accepting to a queer kid. So that being said, they are cishet. Maybe one of them is deep in the closet and like has a ton of internalized queerphobia, but outwardly present and label-wise they are cishet.

Margo's parents might or might not be. I don't know but it honestly doesn't matter to Margo as they don't care about her and so she doesn't care about them all that much. I can see them being queer or not, but either way they aren't being good parents.

I can see Pav's parents being queer. Don't know what kind of queer, but I can see them being somehow apart of the community.

Inspector Singh I mainly see as cishet but a really good ally. Maybe aroace and was in an arranged marriage that either broke down or the wife died (I'm leaning towards death) and Singh just never remarried at all because he didn't want to.

Ganke and Noir's parents aren't queer to me. Definitely not Noir's parents (especially if I am going with the idea of Noir's parents having a more traditional relationship). Maybe Noir's mom likes girls a little bit but would never act on it and tries to suppress those kinds of thoughts. Ganke's parents I see as both cishet.

Finally, I don't have an idea for Ham's parents but I think his aunt could be a lesbian who was in a relationship with a gay man (Ham's uncle). The two were basically each others beards but also messed around a bit when they were younger to just explore and have fun. Unfortunately the uncle ended up dying (like canon uncle Ben). But yeah, Ham's caretaker(s) are queer.

so I just watched Koisenu Futari 2022 jdrama

Man,

I have so much thoughts.

First and foremost, the main characters are aromantic asexual. As an asexual myself, it’s just so good to see such a good representation. 

The show was great and it was just so good to see people like us on screen who feel the way we do.

Sakuko is a young girl who recently just discovered that she was an aromatic asexual while Takahashi is an older guy who already knew he was an aromantic asexual. 

Sakuko is quick to claim the label because, I guess, it’s nice to know you’re not alone and to describe what you are.

Whereas Takahashi, although he knows, he isn’t going to use it out irl. He’s abit more toned down. A bit more bitter. And I don’t blame him. When you don’t fit in with societal’s norms, it’s tough. You’re fighting against it and it gets heavy and tiring sometimes. 

I understand why Takahashi buckled down and hid himself from the world and try to surround himself with some joys that he personally allow himself to indulge in. 

I loved that although Takahashi was the one that showed her that she was not alone. That, later, she returned the favor by showing Takahashi that he can live how he like. That he could be free to do. And if he didn’t like it. He can start again. Everything is everchanging. Everfluid.

This show has made me think of my own situation.

I have known that I’m an asexual for a long time now. 

My entire life.... I knew that I was different. I never felt sexual attractions. I have been made fun of, growing up. I been accused as queer because I never shown attraction to people of the opposite sex. But I was not queer. I knew I was straight. But I’m just not someone who wants to have sex with someone or someone who can fall in love with a damn stranger.

Then one day, in university, I read something on asexuality. 

And the moment I read the definition, I knew what I was. I knew I was asexual. I didn’t have to take quizzes. I didn’t have to google it. I just knew. Honestly, I was just glad to know that I wasn’t alone and that I wasn’t too weird. That people like me exist. 

Then later, I got in a relationship. And I did wonder how it was going to work because I was asexual. 

For a moment, my sexual identity was definitely questioned. Then, since I was in a relationship, I discovered demisexuality. So I thought, maybe I was just demisexual. And for a long time, I embraced this new identity. 

But now that relationship ended, I realised, nah, I wasn’t a demisexual. I am an asexual through and through. I just accommodated my previous partner. It didn’t mean that I was demisexual. 

But this whole experience taught me that identities can change and that it’s okay. It’s cool. Just pick the one you relate to the most or don’t if you don’t want to. So it is everchanging, evergrowing.

But watching koisenu futari made me wonder, am I aromantic? Like, I knew I was asexual because I had no sexual attraction.  So I thought the definition should be the same as aromantic. That one doesn’t feel romantic attraction. I guess this was something that escaped me for many years because I do want romance. But the truth is, you could be aromantic and still want romance. I really do wonder. Because I do want romance but I don’t think I ever experience romantic attraction. And it explains alot. Like I have never fallen in love with someone at first sight. Like I can admire someone’s beauty but that doesn’t mean I fall in love with them. I can never fall for a stranger. 

But then again, I don’t have to explore this if I don’t want to. I don’t have to do whatever I don’t want to.

Anyhow, I understand why Takahashi puts himself in a box. Ever since my last relationship ended, I know that it won’t be easy to put myself out there because I’m asexual. And most of all, romance and love is not the most important thing to me. I have things to do. 

But we live in a world where society dictates some stuff. It’s hard to live one way when everyone is constantly questioning it. 

I know I’m asexual and recently, I just came back from a party where my friends were talking about sex. And it made my insides turn. I felt like I never want to hang or see them again. But that’s harsh. So I decide that I’ll just reduce my contact with them. So in a way, am I not doing the same thing as Takahashi, hiding myself because it hurts to be yourself and being out in the world?

But I don’t think I’m wrong. And in this sense, Sakuko offer a better answer. To find a world of people like you. To curate your world. And despite those group of friends not being understanding, I have other group of friends. I have other friends whom I been out with. Whom understands me for me. Whom loves me. 

And so, I don’t have to hide. I just need to curate and create my own world. Yea, this show made me think alot. But yes, I completely enjoyed Koisenu Futari. Most of all, I truly relate to Takahashi.

Sinfonietta: REMIXED (or known to u all as Symphony) is a retelling and rewrite of the original series 'Symphony: Music of Mind"

The story takes place in the same world as all of my other stories, The Overworld. It follows the same characters and some new ones.

The main rule of the main cast is that they're all based on a song, not just in design but in personality and sometimes backstory as well.

Let me run you through the main characters!

Adrianne [she/her || trans woman || bisexual]

Based on the song 'hot girl bummer' by blackbear, surprisingly

She's the titular protagonist and the reason the Symphony crew came to be. She got everyone onto the team by herself, from angels to demons to a little orphaned kid. She is, for the most part, very kind and sincere. At least for a while, she is.

She came from an LGBTQphobic home with a Christian human father and a polytheistic messenger bird mother. She moved out at 16, got a part-time job as an actress, moved onto singing and formed her own little group.

Bridgette [she/they || bisexual]

Based on the song 'Boss Bitch' by Doja Cat

Bridgette is a demon from the Underworld and is the little sister of two of the Devil's servants. They found Adrianne while they were crossing the Overworld one day and decided to be the first official member of the squad. She's very self-righteous but they have a soft spot.

Alastor [they/he/it || asexual]

Based on the song 'im so tired...' by Lauv and Troye Sivan.

A angel cast out from heaven from apparently not doing their job well enough, even though they were brutally overworked. Alastor is always sleepy, even during shows, but he soldiers on anyway. He's loved by most for how soft his voice is and how smoothing his solo songs tend to be.

Generally it's very kind and wouldn't hurt a soul but will get a bit salty or rude if provoked.

Cerys [he/him || mlm]

Based on the song 'Fighter' by Jack Stauber.

Cerys is a fruit farmer from the western area. He lives over the hills in solitary with just himself and his cats (Bella, Banbury, Beryl and Beckford). He delivers his fruit to multiple cities and towns and other locations across the Overworld and is loved by pretty much everyone. People all over were delighted when they heard he was going to be joining a music group.

He's a very kindhearted guy and wouldn't hurt a fly. At least, he wouldn't hurt a fly anymore.

Randy [trans man || he/him || gay]

Based on the song 'PUNK TACTICS' by JOEY VALENCE

Randy is a demon, that's for sure. He's a follower of Lord Diabolos and Lord Dionysus. He's not very mean if you get to know him, he only plays jerk if he doesn't know you.

He was the child of extremely violent parents and was raised by random strangers, pretty much. He got into the squad because he made a living off of singing on the streetside as a young adult.

Darkie [all pronouns || asexual]

Based on the song 'Little Dark Age' by MGMT

The angel who tricked everyone, even God. Known for framing as the archangel Gabriel, Darkie's actual name is Loki. He was exiled from heaven for being unfaithful.

She got into the squad because she pretty much,, sang whenever she spoke. Adrianne liked this and found it charming for.. whatever reason.

Ava [she/it || lesbian]

Based on 'missing home' by nineishuman

After escaping an abusive home, Ava was just seeking out employment. Adrianne knew her from school and let her join the crew.

Ava is a very paranoid person and has high empathy/sympathy. It's seen as a very dependable and loving friend and the squad treats her like a younger sister of sorts.

Ghost [they/them || gay]

Based on the songs 'Honey I'm Home' by Ghost and 'Doubt' by twenty-one pilots

The first ever angel to ever grace existence and then first ever fallen one. Ghost didn't even do anything to deserve their cruel treatment in Heaven. They were only doing what they were told.

Ghost sings of his experiences and is described to, unironically, have a very 'heavenly' and 'angelic' voice. They are loved far and wide for not just their singing, but their personality and.. the way they dress.

Brutus [all pronouns, gender is up for interpretation /srs || unlabeled]

Based on the song 'Brutus' by The Buttress.

Brutus is a very.. special individual. He's commonly called 'Judas' because of the rumors that he.. stabbed Jesus. He's also described as unpredictable and barely controllable.

He, too, is a fallen angel but he was tortured for years before he was exiled for, y'know, the usual. Trying to kill God because of the corrupt system Heaven had at the time and still has. He would later be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and complex PTSD.

Lukas [they/he/it/zir/xey || mlm]

Based on the song 'heather' by glaive and ericdoa

Lukas is a very strange guy. He's of unknown origin and his parents are also anonymous. He does have an older and younger brother though.

Lukas could be said to be pretty standard in terms of personality. It's never gotten angry at.. anybody. Not even at people who hurt hurt them.

Is there something where there is a big difference between your OCs and how they are?

Between Soranar and Ahellia? Wellllll

Soranar is older, and, clearly visibly undead/forsaken nowadays while Ahellia is still living. He died during the fall of Quel'thalas and was raised into undeath and served as a dark ranger for Sylvanas for many years.

Personality-wise they're quite similar, at least similar enough to scream 'related' beyond their obvious family resemblance. They're both relatively quiet, and reserved.

But where Ahellia can become an open book to the right person, Soranar is very adept at hiding his emotions and reserving judgment. He is very much a spectator in social situations, not overly curious, but still polite. Ahellia is more sociable than him, and reactive; she attempts to guard her emotions but small details in her expressions and behavior will give her away, and she is more likely to speak on her emotions than he is. But they're both quite stubborn and stoic.

Ahellia has a nervous habit of counting, either on her fingers or arrows in her quiver, when she's stressed or uncomfortable. Soranar on the other hand simply goes still. Even when he was living he could become very statuesque when discomforted. It's almost involuntary for him, and it's only been exacerbated with his current condition. If he wants, he can truly be as still as a statue.

Ahellia doesn't fall in love easily, but she does get attached easily, find herself thinking about someone or something for a long time if she likes it. She's a practical person overall, not one to have her head in the clouds, but when she's alone her mind does drift to hopes and dreams, or theoretical situations. She has a sexual side, but it's honestly a little repressed; Duty always takes priority for her. She's not particularly promiscuous, doesn't really want to share that side of herself unless it's with someone special. Luckily for her she has fallen in love, with a human/worgen of all people, so she's slowly taking time to explore that side of herself.

Soranar on the other hand is asexual, and never been properly in love, and now as a forsaken his senses, and emotions have been dulled some (on top of just the general trauma of death and undeath) so he finds his emotional satisfaction in a queerplatonic relationship he shares with a death knight named Linnorei. When he was alive he insisted he was devoted to his work as a ranger, which is still true; he values a sense of usefulness over a sense of companionship. But he's not entirely sex repulsed either, and has on occasion had sex with Linnorei, just for some short term gratification, to fight back against that numbing sensation that weighs on the undead. Sex holds no emotional weight for him.

Soranar is very contemplative. He spends time in silence, thinking, pondering, trying to find meaning in his surroundings and his life, and the suffering he has endured. He doesn't laugh much. He used to laugh a little more, but was never really a bright and sunny guy. But that's not to say he was or is ever miserable; he's quite at peace with who he is, with what he is and what he does. He just keeps himself busy, trying to be useful, and finds meaning through that utility.

Ahellia is similarly fixated on duty, on a sense of usefulness, but she's much more conflicted, or disorderly. Her priorities fluctuate, because she's not quite at peace with herself, so she can go through periods of overwork, trying to find penance for past mistakes or trying to prevent future ones. In short: she struggles with being at peace. She's never been one for large groups, but having an individual or two to rely on has helped her in this aspect, and being able to pursue her romantic feelings with Pielde has allowed her to readjust some, to be more balanced.

They both can have sharp tongues, when the situation requires them, but Soranar is also more likely to be snarky, or to casually diss in conversation than Ahellia is. He also has been known to tease those close to him, Ahellia in particular. He's very witty, but his delivery is always calm or impersonal, so sometimes people aren't sure whether to be insulted or not.

Ahellia is less likely to insult someone casually. She is more straightforward with her words, whatever their intention, so if she wants to insult you, you will know. Her way of speaking is more informal than Soranar though; There's a musicality to his speech, a kind of nobility that seeps out of his words, maybe from his time around actual nobility, or just keeping in line with the dignified airs Quel'dorei are raised with, which he never outgrew. Ahellia has spent more time with her 'boots on the ground,' so to speak, and has interacted with more diverse individuals (and has travelled more) so her speech is a little more laid back.

Ahellia is far more curious than Soranar. That isn't to say he's disinterested in the world around him; he used to be fond of reading about far away places, of learning of different cultures, but felt more connected to his home environment and was driven by a desire to serve his community. Ahellia is equally devoted to her people, but enjoys the concept of travel and exploration more than Soranar, enjoys finding new lands and new challenges, in addition to enjoying the comfort of her homeland.

For Soranar travel has become an even bigger turnoff after undeath. Despite being at peace with himself he finds it difficult to stray too far from Lordaeron, which became his home in undeath, and he finds it equally difficult to stray too close to his home in life Quel'thalas, and Silvermoon, where Ahellia still officially resides.

Soranar had a big hand in Ahellia's archery training, but their styles have developed differently over time, yet they kind of echo each other.

Soranar has learned to use the shadows, to become an unseen and unheard marksman, even harnessed some dark power as many rangers in his position have. His arrows are dipped in nightshade, and his accuracy is incredibly impressive. He spends many hours honing his craft. If pressed, he can hit his targets frequently without looking at them, and regularly hits his mark from a great distance. He prefers to keep that distance, wants to eliminate his targets as swiftly and silently as possible. He can hold his own in closer quarters, but avoids it when possible.

Ahellia moves quietly and unseen as well, but is a bit more of an ambusher than an outright sniper. It's a little more intimate for her than it is for her brother. She is adept at tracking (Soranar is as well) and will stalk her target, will wait for the perfect opening and strike, and her draw strength, and consequently the force of her arrows, is really powerful. She moves with more of a feline fluidity, akin to a huntress, uses her environment, and is very swift. She's not an easy target to anticipate or track. Basically, if she catches you, you're fuckin dead.
