Staging for this episode has been by far the fastest of any! Normally this takes at least a month, but in less than a week I've finished the whole thing!!!
Here's a look at the fly model. Fly faces have always stricken me as looking like this--hope it's not too alienating!
With staging done, I've opened up an unprecedented two weeks of extra time. So, next week it's time for final recordings, and then we can start on getting backgrounds into place! Hoooo boy. Until next time!

Is there an OC of yours that you find the most fun drawing?
I'd have to say really ANY of Team Aces Wild, mainly as i just really enjoy Sammy, Melanie, Creme, and Abernathy as like a few of my Oldest OCs.
Outside of the legacy/seniority favor i give to Aces Wild, Valerie and Spade are incredibly fun to draw whenever i get the chance to do so

Thirsty
Look at his stupid lil mouth. I love him and his dumb long mouth. I'll let him live. He is currently eating my laptop.

I reached for a towel to dry my hands
Out of the corner of one eye,
I saw a housefly walking on the floor,
In the far corner of the bathroom
On wobbly legs she moved very slowly
How long had she been in the bathroom?
How much of a 30-day lifespan had she used up?
Did the life of one puny fly really matter?
She, an innocent victim of circumstances,
Soon destined to die unfulfilled
A looming giant stood over her
I held the power of life n’ death
On bended knees I lowered my hand
The tiny fly hopped onto my palm,
Content to rest on something warm n’ alive
I moved her closer to my face
Her multi-prism eyes met mine
In that moment we both understood;
“All life clings to life, for life’s sake”
— Housefly. Ray Lucero

Time for the first episode six update! This week after finishing the fifth episode has mostly been devoted to catching up on commissions and the like. However, I did write up the script for the next episode!
Seen here is some old concept art for a character that should be appearing in episode six. He was originally slotted for an episode three premiere before I shuffled things around, so it's about time!
I might try to get some recording done over the weekend, or I might wait and make sure I don't change my mind on some of the script first. Either way, I plan to make some model fixes.
Going to be a looot of asset work for this episode before I can begin on anything else. Five weeks of work, in fact! Hopefully, that asset work should be thorough enough that staging can be done in only two. Another three weeks for main animation on top of it, and another week to animate Gregorsa and do notes. All in all, probably about three months. We'll see! Until next time!

she buzzed around all afternoon,
resting on the ceiling fan light
or the windowsill.
i caught her in a shorty
tumblr glass and brought her
to the countertop for
a close up.
little horse's shoes i see -
ooh she's giving pink,
she's giving magic!
posing for the camera.
thank you, little fly,
you're a supermodel.
i open the door and
away she goes.
