Supernatural
Azriel Supernatural AU x reader
Summary: In which you encounter a couple of hunters during a case.
A/N: I've been rewatching supernatural and i just love it. This is based on the early seasons. Hopefully the ACOTAR and Supernatural fandoms overlap.
Warnings: mentions of blood and death, nothing descriptive.
wordcount: 1.7k
Masterlist
“It’s totally vampires, Az. Remember that nest we took out in Idaho? They did the same thing with their victims.” Azriel bites his lip recalling that hunt, it was in the top ten worst moments of his life. “I know you’re right but those things give me the creeps. The way their fangs just-” he gags thinking about the extra set of teeth.
“You big baby, it's just teeth. What gets me is the decapitation. Ghosts are easy. Salt. Fire. But these suckers are a nasty job.” You look over your notes before asking “do you think Cass and Rhys could give us a hand? I think we’ll be outnumbered.”
He shakes his head “we could call but last time we talked they were up to their necks on a vengeful spirit case. Get this, the bones are scattered in different places because the deceased couldn’t decide where to be buried.” You chuckle. “Those two always get caught up in something like that. What about Mor? Or Amren? I’ll call them just in case.”
Two phone calls later and no back up to show for it. “That was a bust.” Azriel nudges your arm. “Hey, we can do this. We can figure out a way to take them out one at a time.” You sigh and lean your head against the window. Watching as endless fields blur into one another. “You’re right, wake me up when we get there will you?” Before he can say yes you’ve dozed off.
The road to Texas was long and lonely for Azriel. You slept the whole way and he was forced to keep himself company with mindless humming and singing lyrics from songs he probably misremembers. You’re usually the dj, but he knows if he messes with your tapes he’s in deep shit. You arrive at the usual dingy motel at around midnight.
“Hey, sleepy head, we’re here.” Az is careful not to startle you, slightly shaking your arm with a scarred hand to rouse you from sleep without setting off your hunter instincts. “I’m awake.” You mumble but don’t move to get out of the truck. “I’ll go get us a room, while you wake up.” A hum is the only response he gets.
When he returns he sees you unloading the truck with a pep in your step. “We’re in 9.” Once you’ve settled in, it dawns on you that you took a six hour nap on the ride here. There’s no way you’ll be able to fall asleep now. “Az, you want something to eat?” He yawns “no thanks, I’m going to turn in for the night.”
“Well I’m not tired. I’ll grab a bite at that bar across the street and come back.” You put on your jacket and make the short walk to the hole in the wall establishment that always seems to accompany the motels you frequent. “One beer and a burger, please.” It 's quiet. You assume that it’s because it’s Tuesday. Until you overhear the conversation from two guys at the bar. “Six people went missing and all of them were last seen here, Sammy, something’s up.”
“I know, Dean, but we’ve been here a week and no one can point us in the right direction. Maybe they left.” Hunters, and by the sounds of it, they are on the same case.  The bartender sets a pint in front of you, when it’s in your hand you walk over. “Are you two looking for a vampire nest?” They seem to have a language of their own, exchanging a few glances before the one with blondish hair says “depends, who’s asking?”
“Y/n, my partner and I just got into town after hearing about six disappearances. Looks like you two got a head start.” You sit with them in a shadowy corner of the bar as they tell you about the roadblocks they’ve encountered. “Most of them came here without telling anybody they knew, they weren’t regulars.” The taller one with brown hair finishes.
“So they were lured.” They nod. “It’s been quiet since we got here.” You finish the burger and wipe your fingers with the thinnest napkin you’ve ever seen. “They got six people in two weeks, that’s enough blood to keep a nest alive for a month.” But something’s off and you can tell they feel it too. “What were your names again?”
“I’m Sam.” “I’m Dean.” No way.
 “Winchester?” They nod.
“That’s crazy! I knew your father! It’s sort of how I got started in all of this actually-” you stop yourself, John is dead now and these were his sons “I’m sorry for your loss, he helped a lot of people.” Az is going to freak when you tell him. Dean swigs his beer and says “yeah well, that’s what happens when you make deals with devils.”
It’s tense for a bit while you finish your beer “well, if you don’t mind it, my partner and I could help on the case. Four machetes are better than two. We’re staying right across the street. Room 9. See ya, boys.”
The next morning you tell Azriel about your encounter. “I’m telling you Az, they seem nice enough. If we team up it will be safer.” He’s unsure, always wary of strangers. “I don’t know, y/n-” just then, a knock at the door. You check the peephole before opening it. “Hi guys, this is my partner Azriel. Az, this is Sam and that's Dean.” The brothers brought coffee, by the looks of it it’s from the prehistoric machine in the lobby. “We talked about it and we agreed, working together will speed things along.”
“Az?” He sighs. “Fine.”
“He’s chipper,” Dean quips. “He’s not a morning person,” you quickly defend. You were the only one allowed to comment on his crankiness.
After a day of following dead ends, you sit with Dean at the same bar. Sam and Az are still trying to find something in the archives. “So what’s the deal with you and your partner?”
“Why? Are you interested?” He chuckles. “Just curious, your room had two beds. Are you two not involved?” Maybe it was the whisky, but you said “not romantically.”
“So he won’t be upset if I buy you another drink with the intention of getting in your pants?” You roll your eyes. “Your reputation precedes you, Winchester.”
“My reputation as a hunter or a ladies’ man?”
“Your reputation as a shameless flirt.” He leans closer to you “is it working?” You laugh and push him off. “No.”
“So there is something between you and Azriel. I bet he’s clueless. I’ve seen it time and again.” You keep nursing your glass. “I wouldn’t say he’s clueless. But you know how this job is. One second you’re here and the next… I think we both agree that it’s better if we don’t cross that line with each other.”
“But you could cross that line with me.” He winks. “No, Dean. I don’t think I could.”
 He straightens away from you and sips his beer. “You said you met my dad?”
“Oh, yes. It was years ago, I was a freshman in college and a vengeful spirit was wreaking havoc on the campus. John showed up right before the son of a bitch gutted me. After that it was hard to go back to classes, you know?”
“And how did you meet Azriel?”
“Az and I met in a bar like this one, he had been hunting with his friends for a while and I hustled them for gas money.”
“You play pool?” You shake your head and try to keep a straight face as you say “I play fools, Dean.”
When Azriel and Sam returned, he did not like what he saw. In truth, he was glad to see you were having fun but he hated seeing you having fun with someone else. It's not like he could complain. You both refused to cross that line. Sleeping next to each other every night, on different beds was not the whirlwind romance he wanted to give you. It wasn’t the life you deserved. But he stuck by your side because everytime he wanted to slow down, to stop, maybe go back to school, you refused. “There are monsters, Az and we save people. I can’t go back to sitting in a classroom only to end up working in an office.” He wanted domesticity. He wanted a routine. He wanted a lawn to mow and to barbecue on weekends. But more than that he wanted you.
“She’s a keeper, Az.” Dean joked as you sunk the last ball in the socket. Azriel clenched his jaw, not liking the familiarity with which Dean nudged your shoulder. It had only been a day since you met and you were acting like you’d known each other for years.
“You don’t have to sleep here if you don’t want to.” Your face scrunches in confusion at his tone. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I’m sure you'd rather be with Dean right now.”
“Azriel, don't be like that.” He shrugs “just saying, you two were making eyes at each other all day.”
“We were not.” He doesn’t say anything else but there’s a tension that lingers. “I hate when you do this.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
“You’re picking a fight. You know I would never be with anyone else.”
“You could.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Y/n-”
“I know Az, “the life’s too dangerous,” “we’d be more vulnerable,” “it just gives the bad guys ammunition.” I know the whole song and dance of why we can’t… I get it. But it makes me feel stupid when I could be out with someone who actually shows interest in me but I stay with you.”
“I’m not holding you hostage, you can go if you want.”
“You’re an idiot.” With a huff you storm out of the room. Not entirely sure where you’re going, you wander around the motel grounds for a while. Knocking on Dean’s door was an option, but you wanted to be alone. He was infuriating. Azriel knows which buttons to push and when. He does this every so often, picks a fight to create iciness between you. It makes temptation easier if you’re too mad at each other to give in, you suppose.
It's past midnight, and the lights in room 9 are off. In your haste you forgot a key. You go to the lobby and are surprised to see an attendant. “Hi, I locked myself out of my room and my partner is asleep. Do you have a spare key by any chance?”
“Of course, name and room number?”
A click sounds from behind and you turn to see a man, turning the Open sign to Closed.  His neck is covered in scruff and bite marks. You look back at the attendant. The ledger, that weighs at least ten pounds, slams across your face.
You wake up tied up and breathless in a windowless room. Six bloodied bodies surrounding you.

And it’s The Randomly Picked Full-Page Hypokits! Myler and Mapleshade! An anon asked for this, and I had an AU ready, and then in a moment of serendipity, @scentedglitterillumination asked for the same ship with THE EXACT AU I WAS ALREADY WRITING oooOOOooo I was yeeted directly into the twilight zone! Shivers! Anyway here’s ART
In this AU, Mapleshade is leaving Thunderclan, banished with her kits. The storm in her broken heart is mirrored by the turbulent weather, and her kits cries break through her mental fog. She needs to save her kits! She heads towards the river, but it’s far too wild, waves lashing (she sees Frecklewish lashing out screaming fury betrayal not my kin) (Ravenwing scowling Oakstar snarling everyone everyone everyone) and past that…she can’t put her kits through that! Not even for their father! (a molly she doesn’t know at his side laughing as they walk) (he says their love is special but don’t tell shhh) She doesn’t know where to go but she can’t stay there. Mapleshade herds the frightened kits away, and Patchkit asks - are we going to see the barn? The elders said there’s some twoleg thing - and Mapleshade remembers it too. It’s safer than the storm. And they go.
Mapleshade can see the hulking twoleg shelter when everything goes wrong - lightning crashes too close and Larchkit bolts away from her. She screams over the thunder (over the clan begging they’re just kits no no no I promised my babies) and a voice answers - do y’all need help? It says, strange and faint. My kit, she cries, I can’t find her! Please Starclan, they did nothing wrong! A black and white blur passes her, go inside, keep those two warm, I’ll find her Ma’am. She sees no stars in his pelt (she doesn’t deserve stars she broke the code what’s wrong with her) but he sounds confident, and Mapleshade is too unfamiliar and Patchkit and Petalkit are freezing. Inside she licks them clean, and as she begins to shake herself off, the blur trots in, Ma’am I got her! Larchkit hangs miserably from the muzzle of a tom with scruffed fur. The blur is another cat. Not a Starclan ghost, a living cat who deposits the shivering kit in her paws. I’ll get y’all something ta eat, he says, still strange voiced, y’all look like ya need it. Mapleshade finally finds her voice - thank you! The tom’s tail twitches, dripping as he walks off deeper in. Y’all’r welcome ma’am, my momma woulda shown up an knocked me senseless iffin I hadn’t helped.
When he returns, the kits sleep deep and peaceful, and Mapleshade sees the two mice in his jaws with relief. He drops them near and drawls muh name’s Myler ma’am, an what’r y’all doin out in this weather? Mapleshade pauses, and quietly admits her story, to being banished from the clans. She won’t be on his territory long - he cuts her off with a wave. Feel free ta stay, iffin yer alright with it. I get lonely, and the twolegs won’t mind if y’all help take out the mice. B’sides, I ain’t bought ta send off a lady - ‘specially a ma and her youngins. Mapleshade is…cautious, but accepts the offer for now. She never regrets it, not when seeing Myler act like she always wanted Appledusk to (never caring only meeting his own kits because she made him) (Myler giving badger rides Myler being target practice Myler crowing with delight when the kits bring down a mouse together look at these lil hunters I’m so proud of y’all go show yer ma), not when he acts like a better cat than her old clan (judging kits for blood for kin hating fighting for territory to just lose it again) (Myler breaking up a fight between loners they leave as friends Myler not caring what halfclan means Myler inviting the old loners in during winter so they’re safe), and certainly doesn’t regret it when he proves a much better mate (hush don’t tell of course I love only you don’t look don’t look I swear it’s only you) (Myler offering to watch the kits y’all look tired let me catch you a mouse Myler giving her flower petals because they make y’all sparkle Myler weeping in joy I’m gonna be a Pa again oh honey I’m never gonna leave).
There are other kits that come through, and other loners and wanderers and banished warriors. A few stay with them in the barn, most pass through many times, two stay as her own kits - she doesn’t need to have birthed them to be their mother. The couple pass away together, to the grief of kits and grandkids and great grandkits, and years later, when a kit with a crooked jaw passes through, a pair of ghosts keep watch, and decide that death won’t stop them from being better parents to the lost and neglected.
…this got way away from me. Like I thought it was going to be much shorter but the Prose Muse grabbed me by the throat and demanded tribute. Anyway enjoy your characters glitter, and I’ll see you at the 100 follower special!

hey . hey hey. are you like me in the fact that you used to like httyd as a kid
and then when the hidden world came out you really didn't like it and you didn't know why
well a few weeks ago i got my little goblin hands on the httyd hidden world art book and then realized. O h . The reason i didnt like it was because they were telling a different story than the one i wanted to hear. they wanted to tell a story about The Wild and Nature and i just wanted to see the funny dragon and his best friend be best firends
so i am going to start brain dumping about my httyd modern au rewrite
here's some out of context fun facts !!
toothless really fucking loves humans. he is dragon autistic about them
hiccups real name is Hayden but hiccup was a nickname that Just Kinda Stuck
toothless and the lightfury are siblings. she is so tired of his shit. theyre Worsties
hiccup is aroace
the hidden world is a universe parallel to our own where dragons live. we get the cryptid/ghost hunter vibes :333
they all get to use magic and i think im gonna give hiccup a dragon form or something (pleasing the child in me who wanted hiccup to Be Dragon Also)
lightfuries are the "main" species, an exclusively albino variant that survived well due to their semitranslucent skin allowing them to become invisible. nightfuries are melanistic, very rare versions (a subspecies)
they're derived from a common ancestor, a gray dragon that was probably called sky furies or something
since i'm american (unfortunately) the whole story takes place on the north shore bc there's lots of nordic stuff there. new berk (hiccups town) was made by viking settlers thousands of years ago and that's why they all have funky viking names because Honoring Heritage
dragons :3333

Cap-IM Rec Week - Wonderous Wednesday
Day 3 of @cap-ironman's rec week event!
Apparently I have a ghost problem, so this leans heavily towards a "Halloween in July" kind of theme.
one more moment of this silence by Red (S_Hylor) (@s-hylor) (Marvel | Mature | Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings | 2,227 words)
The AU: Supernatural Elements
Summary: Tony can see ghosts. Not just any ghosts, but ghosts of people how haven't found peace yet, or refuse to. Ghosts of people whose bodies have never been found. The closer to their bodies he gets, the more he sees them, an ability, or a curse, that he uses to help the police find body's of missing people. It's never easy.
there's no dreams in the waves, only monsters by S_Hylor (@s-hylor) (MCU | Teen And Up Audiences | Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings | 70,441 words)
The AU: No Powers, with supernatural elements
Summary: Driving while tired is never a good idea, especially when the weather is terrible, as Tony finds out the hard way. Now in pain, with a wrecked car and no phone service, Tony is stranded at a hotel perched on a cliff overlooking the flooded ruins of an abandoned town in the valley below. With no working phone, only three other people around, Tony isn’t sure who to trust or what to believe. Something isn’t right, something is stopping him from leaving.
Twelve Days by elysianprince (@elysian-prince) (MCU | Teen And Up Audiences | No Archive Warnings Apply | 22,027 words)
The AU: No Powers, with supernatural elements. Inspired by The Spirit of Christmas, simply the best basic cable Christmas movie ever.
Summary: In which Tony finds himself in a town that looks like it crawled out of a Hallmark Christmas movie, trying to sell an inn he didn't know he owned, all while dealing with Steve Rogers, the resident ghost who has returned to haunt the inn each December during the twelve days of Christmas for the past seventy years. Tony has only one logical solution that benefits them both: break the curse that binds him - but falling for a man almost a century old wasn't among his plans.
More below the cut!
And Time Went On by Morena_Evensong (Marvel | Mature | Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings | 106,811 words)
The AU: MCU/EMH/616 Fusion
Summary: Two hundred years ago the Mandarin attacked Washington, the first stage of his plan for world domination. And the Avengers... vanished. All except Iron Man, who eventually managed to defeat the Mandarin with the help of SHIELD, a few other superheroes, and their friends. Now, nearly two hundred years after the death of Anthony Stark, the current Stark heir, Tony, is moving into the forgotten Stark Manor in order to avoid falling into the clutches of the United World Council. But Stark Manor isn't just an empty old house and mice aren't the only things that have been inhabiting it for the past two hundred years. As Tony uncovers the secrets of Stark Manor, and more than a few horrifying truths about the world he lives in, a powerful threat suddenly arises. One that leaves shattered cities and seas of bodies in its wake as it slowly sweeps its way across a world that no longer has a last line of defense.
Wasted on the Dead and Dreaming by LinneaKou (MCU | Teen And Up Audiences | No Archive Warnings Apply | 37,554 words)
The AU: Ghost Hunters
Summary: Steve looked right at his friend, and he felt just as disoriented as he had when he woke up in Munich. “What the hell is going on?” Bucky winced. I think you’ve spontaneously developed psychic powers. And well. Wasn’t that just great. When Captain Steve Rogers got back from his tour of duty, he didn't expect to come back with the ability to communicate with the dead. When Tony Stark moved back into his childhood home, he didn't expect his dead father to still be inhabiting it. When Tony hired Steve to investigate the ghosts of his family mansion, they didn't expect to be swept up in cover-ups, corporate sabotage, and murder. Now, time is running out as increasingly disturbing dreams haunt Tony and the ghost of Howard Stark proves to be the least of Steve's problems. If they're lucky, maybe they won't end up ghosts too.
The Little Things Unknown by coaster (@coastertoaster) (MCU | Mature | No Archive Warnings Apply | 27,618 words)
The AU: Ghostbusters fusion
Summary: Tony Stark has three certainties in life: one, that science was where his mind worked best; two, that, since ghosts had become a science, anything was possible; three, that he would never know if Captain America was that much of a paragon because the man was long dead. The subject of Certainty Three might be sitting at the foot of his bed. ~ Steve is a ghost. The Avengers bust ghosts. And Tony isn't sure what to make of Cap here. But hey, at least his other hauntings have stopped, right?
Does not play well with others by usedupshiver (@usedupshiver) (Marvel | Teen And Up Audiences | Major Character Death | 11,588 words)
The AU: No Powers, with supernatural elements
Summary: While sneaking into the Starks' abandoned home, Steve makes the startling discovery that even though no Stark is living in the house anymore, not all of them have actually left.
A Long, Lonely Time by asktheravens (MCU | Mature | Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, Major Character Death | 58,567 words)
The AU: No Powers, with supernatural elements
Summary: Steve returned from the war injured in body and mind- and able to see the dead. At loose ends and desperate to get out of New York City, he accepts a fellowship through the Stark Foundation and retreats to a quiet lake house on the grounds of the Stark Mansion. He's supposed to be there to paint, but he quickly realizes that the house is more than he bargained for. Anthony Stark died here a decade ago, but was it an accident? A suicide? Or a murder? Obadiah Stane still lives in the main house just up the hill, and the past casts a long shadow. When Tony's ghost begins appearing to him, Steve becomes more entwined in the dangerous mystery surrounding his death. Even worse, he finds himself falling for a man who died a decade ago... Features lots of ghosts, murder, secrets, and supernatural revenge. Also Thor and Rhodey.
Catch a Falling Star by tsukinofaerii (Ults | Explicit | Major Character Death | 42,741 words)
The AU: Science Fiction. There's a nicely spooky scene in a damaged space facility, but no supernatural stuff
Summary: When Tony was sixteen, he got to meet his hero, Captain Steve Rogers, the Empire's not-literally-golden boy from the Continuity Wars. When he was twenty-seven, the aforementioned Captain turned Pirate picked him up at the outer edges of space. It would have been a good time to appreciate the abundant nudity that came from spending too much time with space colonists, but Tony had bigger worries than even Rogers' amazing hip-to-shoulder ratio. Something was sending the star-encircling computers that power the galaxy into a tailspin, and it was going to take a lot more than luck and skill to clean the mess up.
The Road Through October Country by indigostohelit (616 | Teen And Up Audiences | Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings | 2,803 words)
The AU: High School, with supernatural elements
Summary: It's a beautiful day in October, and Steve's hiding behind the library, his knee bleeding, when he sees the boy for the first time. Tony makes Steve laugh, and his hands are as cold as ice, and he doesn't leave footsteps in the mud. But in a cold graveyard after sunset, Tony asks Steve to make a choice that will change - or end - his life forever.
Tidal Pull by sabrecmc (@sabrecmc) (MCU | Explicit | No Archive Warnings Apply | 97,740 words)
The AU: Civil War era historical, with fantasy elements (no ghosts, but it does have slowburn + tentacle porn, which even I'll admit is just as good)
Summary: After the American Civil War, Union soldier Steve Rogers takes a chance on an opportunity to sail with the Stark Trading Company down in the Caribbean. During a terrible storm, his ship is lost. To his surprise, he survives, and ends up stranded on an island that isn't quite as deserted as he first thinks. Or, a reverse Little Mermaid tale where Steve has to fall for the fish-man.

This idea has been plaguing my brain for days now and I had to put it somewhere, so here:
Basically Jason was in his apartment watching some silly shows with his girlfriend laying on his side, his evening was doing pretty great for once, that is untill Oracle called saying they needed help, before Jason could decline she said unknown portals showed up in Gotham and one of them opened right in Crime Alley(or the Narrows, both work) and the Bat asked for him to investigate that portal while the rest of the batfam would deal with the other portals, a.k.a Jason had little choice but to go there and see what the fuck was going on in his territory.
So after angrily putting on the helmet and telling Jazz he would be back in a few minutes he got on his motorcycle and whent off to where the portal was, but once he got to the location Oracle provided there was no portal in sight, only a lot of dirt, a really big crater and- is that a person on a floating board!?
Aparentlly there was a random person standing on a floating board and chilling in the middle of a big crater, at this point he's not even surprised anymore. As he approaches the crater he starts seeing more details on the person, they had a green teal shirt with black shoulder pads and white gloves, they also had ginger hair tied in a how ponytail that was eerily similar to his girlfriend's, but it could just be a coincidence.
But as he got closer and the dust started to settle down he could not help the confused-almost-shout that came out of his mouth, and the only question in his mind is what the hell is Jazz doing here???
As it turns out, that was not Jazz, or at least not his Jazz, because aparentlly she was from a alternative universe and ended up in this universe by accident while she was chasing a powerful ghost with dimensional travel powers, in all honesty Jason is already done with this bullshit.
"Is there any other alternative version of my girlfriend I should know abaut?" Jason asked in a very exasperated voice
"Well, I did see a Jazz that had 2 swords and a blue blue hair streak before you showed up" the other Jazz sheepishly replied.
Jason buried his head on his hands.
He just wanted to spend some time with his girlfriend.
(Basically the idea is that Jason ends up meeting Krosan's version of Jazz and is very tired of dealing with multiversonal bullshit and I think him meeting that version of Dan would be kinda funny tbh, and also a little reference for Mortified!Jazz. Idk what this is but i needed to let it out)
YOOOOOO, THIS SOUNDS AMAZING!!!
We've seen a Spiderverse-like AU for Danny, why not for Jazz?? We have halfa!Jazz, Mortified!Jazz (aka warrior princess), Hunter!Jazz (Krossan's design is amazing and the thing with Dan is so cute) and my (is not really mine? I just ran with the idea in my fics) Liminal!Jazz.
I know you meant only Hunter!Jazz and Dan in their universe, but now the Spiderverse-like concept in in my brain now.
OOOOOO
MAYBE ALSO @impyssadobsessions's Evil Queen Jazz????
Also, so many girlfriends... Would they like Jason?
Hunter!Jazz I would think likes him, but in a older brother kind of way (also in Krossan's art she looks young soooo). He is kinda like her Dan but post-redemption, so she is very interested in getting into his head and learn how he did it.
Mortified!Jazz is also young but would have a crush on him, specially when she finds out he can kick ass and drinks respect women juice. And with how he takes care of his girlfriend? Honestly if she weren't so busy with, you know, saving the world and helping her brother become King, she'd want something like that for herself.
Halfa!Jazz is more of a trickster and had a chance to be the younger sibling, from what I could gather the consensus is in the Phandom. Assuming she's close in age to Jason here, she wouldn't mind sharing with that world's Jazz. "He has two hands, other-me!" Also she would want to fix the Lazarus Pits thing ASAP.
Evil!Jazz is into him immediately. His sense of justice and how he is willing to do anything to save people are things she finds attractive. Also it helps that he is cute 😌💖
Anyone that wants to add to this PLEASE do so. This is such a concept!!!!! I will be rotating this in my head for days.

Walker and his adopted half son Chapter 2
Hello everyone hope you are all well and I am glad to see many people love the first chapter, and I was surprised when first saw the number of likes the next morning to say I cried and was happy when I saw it when I first woke up, and now an almost one later as of tomorrow I am so happy. I am glad you all are taking the time to read the story, well we should start the next chapter! (trying hard not to cry while typing pulse my boyfriend is asking me if I am okay)
REMINDER:
Naturally, I do not own Danny Phantom which belongs to Butch Hartman. (Note if you have not seen the show I Highly recommend you see it before reading this if you are a newbie or you will not fully understand).
I was given the OK from @five-rivers to use this AU and turned it into the story that I am posting and I hope you all like it.
Lastly, I have been using different stores as my teacher, and I do not know all of them, I want to give a big shot out to you guys because without this story might not even happen. one of the authors is @halfghostwriter, and there are so many more on here, fanfation.net, AO3, in other words, thank you.
*Please Note: the age is going off of how long they have been born in the ghost zone, or died and went to the ghost zone*.
Chapter 2: Power trouble, and in baby form, is that bad?
Last time….
After the two goons spotted Danny, and try to capture him to bring him into the prison, much to Danny's unpleasant mood, Danny has been having trouble with his powers granted he had been training with his friends and his sister and being in this situation was the last thing he wanted was to run into Walker’s goons because he was tired, hungry, and his power was acting up. However during the fight, the two goons thought we getting faster because they thought they can finally bring in the troublemaker, but when they both noticed Danny acting differently they started to slow down and then….
??? Goon 1: YOU’RE A BABY?!?!?!?
??? Goon 2: …. (Still In shock)
Danny:......( looks confused while trying to look mad) but failed
NOW!
No one point of view
Danny did not want this to happen to him, although he thought that came to his mind. A baby! He is 14 years old. Meanwhile, the goons were lost for words, and thoughts while one is and the other is still in shock. For the one that is lost in thoughts and also can not believe that they have broken the law, of hurting a ghostling they also failed to protect him, because there were other ghosts hunting him and also human hunters too that also including the ghostling parents the Fenton; which leads to questions in his head such as Do his parents know? why are they attacking him? Many different questions came one after another. After a few minutes, the goon was lost in thought, that enough was enough, and decided to take a gentle approach, and by doing that he kneel down and got to Danny's eye level so he could feel calm and relaxed and not scared and want to run away.
First-person point of view
(??? Goon 1)
After I kneel down, my partner finally comes out of shock and did the same thing as I am doing we both are keeping a safe distance for Danny’s safety because of our auras and it can be dangerous for a ghostling, because they will fight or flight, which is important to stay calm; from the little experience that they know Plasmius is 20 years old.
??? Goon 1: Danny, long have you been a ghost or half ghost in your case?
Danny made an O shape with his month and at first, I missed how he was trying to tell me, then I hear the sounds of taping and I look at his tall and paid more attention to it when Danny tapped his tail in vers of 3s, I figure it out and I hear my partner gasp.
??? Goon 2: 3 months?!?!  That is Impoissble we are getting our ass kicked by –
I gave him the look of shut the hell up and I also heard a high pitch sound of a squeak, I looked at Danny because I know that sound came from him and he must feel embarrassed, now that I am looking at Danny and his aura, core, and form, he needs help.
??? Goon 1: Danny you need help, you are in trouble, and the way things are it is hurting you. Do you have a parent or someone to take care of you here in the ghost zone?
Danny only shook his head no.
??? Goon 2: What should we do Nightmare?
Nightmare: I have no idea Shadow tracker
Danny: squeak
Nightmare: Oh? Is someone laughing (trying hard not to laugh too)
Shadow tracker: You may be laughing now but I can find any shadow in both zones (with an evil smirk on his face). Hearing this Danny Paled even more than he already is (how is that even…) I thought; and I hit shadow tacker outside the head “Not cool you should have kept your mouth shut!” I sigh and wonder why the hell did the boss assign him to be my partner for today, especially right now. I turn back to look at Danny and I notice how tired he is because he is fighting to stay awake right now, and slowly raping his tail around his body, it may be half tail and the half eco blob I am wounding what he will grow up to be and look like? “Hey, Danny how would you feel about coming, with us. You don’t have to if you don’t want to –” I was cut off by Danny's squeak and nod of yes (that is weird because of our boss wants him locked up, and another thing Danny looks relieved for some reason). I thought as I go and pick him up gently.
Shadow Tracker's point of view
After I came out of my shock and scared Danny which I feel guilty of doing and Nightmare has every right to be mad at me because this was the first time we see Danny calm and relaxed and I go and mess it up. However I am surprised at Nightmare with how calm he is acting, and his actions not only he got Danny to answer some important information, he even manage to talk Danny into coming with us although I think I’m missing some of the conversations do to the shock that happens more than one. After Nightmare picks up Danny in his hand, Danny snuggles in Nightmare's hand, while his tail is wrapped around his wrist. I move closer to them and we hear a small purr.
Nightmare: how can something be so cute yet so deadly
Shadow tacker: I have no idea the boss is going to lose it and did Danny just hiss at me?
Nightmare look down at Danny who was busy looking at me and does not want me to get closer to him.
Nightmare: Karma, ( while laughing at me) hey Shadow tracker do you think this week's ghostly gossip news is out?
Shadow tracker: I have no clue I hope so and he is finally asleep let’s head back now while he is sleeping.
Nightmare: Good idea we are in for an earful that is for sure.
No one point of view
As they are heading back to the prison with a sleeping Danny they did not notice the other ghosts around him some were shocked, others felt guilty for what they have done, and others are planning something.
??? 1: Oh the ghost child is actually a baby how interesting
??? 2: I seem so what should we do?
And the two of them went left getting concerned looks from the other looks.

The Lord of The Underworld and His Lady of Spring Part 1
In this story for the HPHM x Twisted Wonderland AU, Vil, Rook, Epel, Deuce, Ace, Asteria, Jamil, Kalim and Helena are talking about their recent performance at a competition and their shortcomings due to be tired from dealing with an overblot in the midst of it. However as things start to look for the better, even with Grim’s location unknown to the girls temporarily, they turn south faster than one could imagine.
Asteria belongs to @princess-of-pearls-and-stars while Helena belongs to me. These stories are Inspired by Chapters 8, 9, and 10 of Book 6
Tumblr media
One minute, they were talking about their recent concert appearance and shortcomings. The next, Ramshackle shook in a way that Helena and Asteria were both convinced the old and archaic building was going to collapse. It had been abandoned for years after all and was a wreck when they first moved in.
Epel was the first to bring the suspicions everyone was thinking into words, “Was that an earthquake?”
Rook looked out the window in an attentive way just like a hunter, and his eyes widened when he found his target. “No it isn’t, look out the window.”
Kalim rushed over to the window and followed Rook’s eyes towards the sky with his own, “What in the world!? There’s a bunch of guys flying through the air! Are they on hoverboards.”
“Technology like that means it might be related to Ignihyde.” Asteria did her best to remain calm.
“I’ve been to Ignihyde many times to watch animes with Idia.” Helena reminded her sister, “And while I believe they have a handful of these hoverboard things, it’s certainly not that many. And those don’t even look like students.”
“That’s not possible…” Vil breathed, not really paying attention to the girl’s words it seemed not that it mattered all that much. “This school has a magical barrier to keep out intruders. And it is always up as long as we don’t have a special event going on.”
“Maybe that sound was the barrier getting breached!” Jamil theorized.
“But how?” Vil reminded him, “It is complex magic.”
“Some are coming this way!” Rook called out to alert the group, “Let’s see there is one, two-!?” He then did a 180 degree turn and faced the group, “EVERYONE GET DOWN!”
Large sounds followed as figures crashed into the structure of Ramshackle. Soon enough they were all on the floor trying to get cover. Helena barely even noticed Asteria’s protective arm around them.
“Asteria! Helena!” Deuce called out first, rushing over. “Are you both ok?”
“I-“ Helena was about to respond before she was silenced by the sight in front of her. There were at least three guard looking figures in some sort of technologically advanced armor. It was a metallic grey with a couple of its accents being a glowing blue. They appeared to be quite hostile and heartless, nothing like Ortho, well, at least when he wasn’t trying to shoot the school down with a laser beam to save Idia from a crazy ghost bride that is.
Once they regained their footing, Jamil jumped in front of his Housewarden, “Kalim get back!” He firmly instructed as he looked at the guards the same way Helena did. “I’ve never seen that kind of gear before…” He muttered to himself, although Helena could just barely hear his words and assumed others could as well to some extent.
“Hepta team coming in.” One of the mysterious intruders started, seemingly alerting their master of a discovery, “We’ve got visuals on subjects D, E, and G. Moving in for capture.”
“I haven’t the faintest idea who these people are.” Vil began as he tried to examine the guards from a distance, “but crashing through windows shows an appalling lack of manners.” He turned to the rest of the group with a firm expression, “I hereby declare this an emergency! By my authority as Pomefiore Housewarden, I authorize the use of magic on the intruders!”
“Oui!” Rook seconded as the vice housewarden.
“I do the same for Scarabia!” Kalim mustered in his most authoritative voice. “Prepare for battle!”
Vil’s eyes turned to Deuce, Ace, Epel, Asteria, and Helena, “Freshmen, stay back, and do not get involved for your own safety. Heartslabyul students, call your Housewarden!”
“Yes sir!” Deuce, Ace, Epel, and Helena said in unison, however Helena could see out of the corner of her eye that Asteria was frustrated by sitting on the sidelines. But surely she knew that their magic only seemed to work half the time in this world, right?
The same robotic guard spoke again, “Subjects D and E exhibiting hostility, Subject G showing signs of retreating. Requesting permission to engage.”
“Permission granted.” A voice over the robots intercom sounded. “Execute capture plan C”
~~~
“They’re all struggling…” Epel observed as the battle commenced.
“Those oar-looking staffs can churn out spells real quick!” Deuce pointed out with a great amount of perception.
“AUGH!” Vil exclaimed as said oar-looking staff-thing shot another intense concentration of magic.
“VIL!” Rook called out as Vil collapsed on the ground, and by the looks of it, also lost consciousness.
“Subject E is subdued.” The robotic guard sounded. “Securing now.”
“GAHHH!” Jamil screamed out as the same thing that happened to Vil moments ago occurred to him as well.
“JAMIL!” Kalim panicked.
“We have also secured Subject D, all that is left is Subject G.” The robotic guard informed its instructor or head of operations Helena theorized. “Tetra team has already captured Subject F.
Once the last capture is complete we will rendezvous then return to HQ.”
“Where are you taking them!” Kalim frantically requested, “WAIT!”
“Whoa…” Ace breathed, “The housewardens and vice housewardens went down in seconds.”
“And it’s not over yet…” Asteria pointed out, “They were talking about a Subject G, perhaps that’s Kalim or Rook? But why did they stop if that’s the case?”
“didn’t they say that ‘Subject G’ was retreating? If we assume it is someone in here then it has to be one of us.” Deuce determined.
“But who would that be?” Epel pondered.
“Heck if any of us know.” Helena snapped. “We should just stay low.”
“Tetra team has regrouped with Hepta Team.” The intruders sounded again.
“What in Tarnation!” Epel exclaimed again as he looked up, “They are hauling a cage. Wait… ain’t that…”
“LEMME OUT! GET ME OUT OF HERE!”
Helena and Asteria recognized the voice even before they saw who it came from. As they looked simultaneously through the rubble and dense amounts of people. They spotted Grim, being carried in a cage with tight bars as he attempted to escape his prison. How did he end up in such a predicament after the Shrouds helped with retrieving him earlier?
“GRIM!?” Asteria called out frantically.
“Ace! Asteria! Helena! Deuce!” Grim cried out.
“We need to stop them!” Epel got on his feet, “Come on, I ain’t doing this on my own am I?”
“Right!” Deuce agreed, “Hold on Grim! I’ll save you!”
“Dude, Vil just told us to stay back.” Ace tried to remind them, “Helena has a point you know, if we fight we will loose, we should just stay low, and come up with a plan when we can have, no offense, a stronger team?”
“Don’t be such a coward!” Asteria quickly got on her feet pulling out her wand, with Helena reluctantly following suit.
“OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!” Ace pleaded, but presumed he had no choice.
~~~
Asteria noted how the battle was practically over before it started, and somehow ending up as the last to emerge in their line of fighters despite Ace and Helena’s initial reluctance. She couldn’t doubt that it was a disturbing sight to behold.
“Argh.” Ace mumbled mindlessly. “Didn’t stand… a chance… urgh.”
“Urgh guh…” Deuce moaned.
“Dagnabbit.” Epel muttered.
Yet the only voice Asteria didn’t manage to hear, even in a soft tone, was that of her own sister. Her eyes frantically scanned the room and eventually spotted her figure. And panicked when she saw her sister not moving.
“HELENA!” Asteria frantically called out, trying to rush to her but the robotic guards beat her to it, taking her sister.
“Subject G is secured.” The robotic man sounded, “Reporting Back to HQ.”
“Lemme Go!” Grim pleaded, “I don’t want to go! Asteria!!!” He called as his paw reached out to her.
“GRIM! HELENA!” Asteria called out, practically screaming as they were taken away.
“VIL! JAMIL!” Rook and Kalim did the same in nearly identical tones to Asteria.
Rook growled then did a few meditative breaths before turning to Scarabia’s Housewarden, “Kalim, we must tend to our injured freshmen. I will take them to the infirmary.”
“But Jamil…” Kalim stammered, “Jamil’s been…”
“KALIM.” Rook asserted to get his attention. “You must calm yourself. Jamil has been abducted. You need to step up and fulfill your Housewarden duties by yourself.”
Kalim only reluctantly sighed, however it seemed to be more out of concern for Jamil than the idea of added rightful responsibility, “All right, I’ll go summon the other house “wardens.”
Ace grunted again, “…didn’t pick up…”
Asteria rushed to Ace’s side, his mumbling did not sound promising, nor did his grunting. And he seemed to be wincing from pain.
“Huh?” Rook raised an eyebrow.
Ace attempted to speak again, wincing against the pain as Asteria looked at him with widened eyes trying to tend to him and Deuce the best she could, at least Epel seemed to be in a better state, although that wasn’t saying much. “Called…Housewarden Riddle…but he didn’t…pick up…”
“Oh no!” Kalim exclaimed as realization hit his features and he turned to Rook, “Do you think?”
“There is a likely chance.” Rook determined, “We don’t have much time, we must warn whoever we can.”

The pokémon team anon has returned. I read the Hound Nights demo and got creative.
Starling:
- Starly. The names match! Also, that is Starling's starter, they left the cult together.
- Rufflet. Another cult buddy that escaped with Starling. Rufflet's evolution, Braviary, has this dex entry "For the sake of its friends, this brave warrior of the sky will not stop battling, even if injured." Starling shows similar tendencies towards her family, but much like Rufflet, she still has some growing to do before fully fitting the role.
- Togekiss. A pokémon that enjoys the company of kindhearted people. Starling insists Togekiss stays around for their parents, but it is clear Togekiss really cares for her.
- Drampa. A friendly pokémon that loves children and protects them from danger? Yeah, of course a traumatized cult survivor would end up with one looking after them. MC's family probably gave it to her to help her feel safe.
- Bagon. Just a little baby that wants to fly free and is willing to jump off cliffs to reach its dream.
- Shiftry. Its body is wood, so the nose can serve as an improvised stake. It knows the move Sunny Day, which turns the wheater sunny. It can even read minds. Shiftry is Starling's anti-vampire buddy.
Marian:
- Meowscarada. Green magician cat, that's all.
- Perrserker. Bushy tail, black and grey face, cat. Knows Pay Day (a move that generates free money).
- Male Meowstic. Green-eyed cat with psychic powers. It has the Prankster ability.
- Electabuzz. A pokémon that loves storms just seems fitting. Marian has been raising this one since it was an Elekid.
- Castform. It changes type based on the weather and helps Marian with practical effects, since it can make rain, hail, and even sunshine.
- Female Basculegion. Its dex entry states that females "can afflict a target with terrifying illusions that are under its control. The deeper the sadness in its friends' souls, the paler Basculegion becomes." Marian deserves a fish filled with ghosts.
Theo:
- Mightyena. A pack hunter that values teamwork and is obedient to skilled trainers.
- Mabosstiff. A gentle dog that loves children, but that will take on an intimidating look to protect its family. Theo's Mabosstiff has the Guard Dog ability, which "Boosts the Pokémon’s Attack stat if intimidated. Moves and items that would force the Pokémon to switch out also fail to work."
- Dusknoir. A ghost that guides lost spirits home. Of course the cemetery keeper would end up with one on his team.
- Cubone. Theo saw a little orphan baby and adopted it, no wonder he was ready to take MC in.
- Gyarados. Do not forget what Theo is.
Chrétien/Florence:
- Swoobat. As always, a bat for the vampire. A friendship evolution that gives others positive mood shifts? Very fitting for a vampire who is happy to be someone's best friend... as long as they are of use.
- Skeledirge. Matching its trainer's interests, Skeledirge is both an excellent singer and capable of producing flames at a temperature of 3000 ℃, perfect for burning up a body.
- Drifloon. A pokémon that likes kidnapping children.
- Gorebyss. To quote the dex, "Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluids."
- Vespiqueen. Uses pheromones to control those around it (and make them fight for its sake), much like a vampire does with a hound.
- Hypno. Is it a weird yellow humanoid? Yes. Is it good for getting food in a pinch since it can put people to sleep and drag them away? Also yes.
Welcome back! Glad to see my work can inspire you even more x3
Tbh I would kill for that Pokemon AU...
Also "Shiftry is Starling's anti-vampire buddy." sounds so damn cute!!

Marian.
I love how its just "cat!" and I see they are something... however he and Chase wouldnt get along very well. And the fish looks so tired :(

Also whenever I think "awww so cute!" there is always something super dark

💖👻🧠 (is this too many??)
Not at all!
Fanfic Ask Game
👻 What is one WIP you think you may never pick back up?
Funnily enough, I don't have any of these! The closest thing is my bird painting, which has been languishing as a result of my moving house twice and just not having the time or table space.
I know myself well enough to be aware of my tendency towards completionist over-commitment to stuff. I tend to hang back on actually starting projects that need more than a couple of weeks unless I'm ready to actually see them through. WIP-projects mostly stay in my head or as...
🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?
There's actually couple of these in a fairly developed state that have stayed bunked in my brain either because I didn't feel like spending the time to turn them into prose with all the connective tissue, or because they work in that liminal dream-sequence brain-space where I can blend from one scene to the next and hop in and out of flashbacks for context but I would have no idea how to structure them as an actual story that makes coherent sense to someone else.
A run-down:
YJxDP Brother's AU story concept #1, building on this starting point. Dick finds out from Jack Haley that he has an older brother, only to discover that Fentonworks is gone and the trail is completely cold. Meanwhile Wally finds himself getting drawn into the life of a new classmate at Keystone High, who seems to be estranged from his family, is perpetually tired and a bit standoffish... and who looks an awful lot like an older Dick Grayson at first glance (but that has to be a coincidence, right? Because Dick doesn't have any living family.) First impressions can be misleading and the more Wally looks the less certain he is that they're related but the more he notices other things. Most importantly: that this is a person who needs help and maybe a friend.
YJxDP Brother's AU story concept #2, would completely not work in writing as it would fully rewrite both canons but basically exploring the concept of "what if they DID grow up in the circus together and somehow got separated, lost contact and then reunited as heroes", going into the loss, hurt, anger, distance and misunderstandings that would come from being suddenly split apart from your only remaining family with no warning. In which Dick is sitting on the kind of vicious anger that only a deeply hurt child can, Danny has been drowning in the guilt of a broken promise for five years and a certain someone has been interfering with the mail because the timeline needed both Robin and Phantom. A lot of shouting and crying ensues. The other reason I probably won't write this one is that it turns Danny into a distinctly different character to his canon counterpart.
Danny Phantom AU where the Fentons are not malicious but are also not very good as parents due to hyperfocus on their work. Jazz leaves to try and make a safer place where she can eventually petition to get custody of Danny. Meanwhile Danny - in attempt to be "part of the family" - volunteers to participate in some tests with ectoplasm that make him increasingly unwell and eventually into a halfa whose ghost form is shaped by his parents anti-ghost rhetoric and is mostly used by them as an anti-ghost countermeasure. Even though Danny is the same person in both forms he and "Hunter" aren't treated that way, and he ends up feeling as though "Hunter" needs to conform their ideas about about ghosts (not feeling emotion, not feeling physical sensation etc) - which is not a good thing for him and inadvertently makes him a lot of enemies among the ghosts that come to Amity Park. After struggling with that on his own for a while, he eventually leaves to be with Jazz and has to slowly learn how manage being a halfa, and to unlearn most of the things he's internalised about both ghosts and himself with the help of Jazz and some ghostly allies he stumbles into finding.
💖 What do you like most about your own writing?
Tricking me into complimenting myself, how very dare you! (Affectionate.)
I think it's probably best said in this quote from C.S. Lewis:
I wrote the books I should have liked to read. That’s always been my reason for writing. People won’t write the books I want, so I have to do it for myself.
That's a pretty good summary actually. I started writing Deathly Weapons because I noticed these consistent gaps in the DP x DC (mostly DPYJ or DPTT) fanfic collections at the time, where certain ideas or opportunities weren't getting used and I really wanted to see them.
Specifically some stuff that I like and/or am looking forward to doing:
Causality - I try to make it so that things have a solid in-universe reason to happen. It's totally not necessary for fanfic (its perfectly fine if a story is just an excuse to put your blorbos into interesting positions) but I like to make things feel a little bit more grounded. Especially when it comes to missions in fanfic, often times I kind of found myself wondering why the Team's covert squad was being deployed on certain missions rather than other heroes - it's just one of those things that I like to have an answer for in my own stuff.
Fair-play mysteries - I'm writing for myself but I'm also writing the story that I wish Baby 3WD could have found, and part of that is I think readers like to feel clever, not stupid. I love leaving little hints that point to stuff that's going to come up later (for example, in Chapter 18 I tried to foreshadow Nano being tied up in the cupboard behind the boss before the Team even knew a hostage was missing from the main room) - I feel terribly witty while doing it and I super love hearing when people notice. Two people left comments speculating about some character stuff that's going to go down in Equilibrium and someone else already DMed me with a correct guess at part of the final twist and I love all of you. It's fun to give people the chance to realise what's coming before the characters do.
Character specificity - this is probably more of an upcoming thing than a current-chapters thing, but I really enjoy digging into the specifics of characterisation, character motivations and character relationships. And especially when it comes to grief arcs. I don't know how successfully I'm going to pull off Flashpoints, Combustion and Equilibrium but if I can get even some of the character stuff to work, I'll be happy.
Descriptions - settings are fun and I like describing them, especially when they also set scenes and build mood. I feel like its a part of writing that doesn't see as much love in fic (again, totally fair, we're here for the blorbos) but I love doing it. The oil rig setpiece was fun, I liked giving Wayne Manor a sense of its own personality, and I'm really looking forward to stuff like the jungle setting in In the Mists, the mountains in Rituals, the night sky scenes in Enemy Lines and a lot of gentle flavour descriptions wrapping through Equilibrium.
This was fun! Thanks for playing!

A single Boulder Cannot Bear the Weight of an Entire Mountain
Summary: Danny decides not to tell his friends about his new ghost side hobby in an attempt to keep them safe. This has consequences.
Written for Dannymay 2022, for the no one knows au
Danny can do this.
Sure, the whole being kinda dead thing was freaky at first, but he’s got this in the bag now. The disappearing body parts only lasted for the first two weeks, and his fighting has gotten good enough that he can mostly end fights now without getting the shit kicked out of him.
It's tough hiding this new part of his life from his best friends, but they’re better off safe away from this part of his life.
He still remembers his first actual ghost fight, and his desperate thought of wanting his friends' help when he had absolutely gotten his undead butt handed to him. The terror that had snaked its way down his spine immediately afterwards had been all the assurance he needed to know he would never tell anyone.
A mechanical laugh brings Danny back into the present just in time to dodge the swipe of Skulker’s arm blade.
“Growing tired child?” Skulker mocks, “finally realized you are no match for the greatest hunter in the ghost zone?”
“Oh shut it you big hunk of scrap,” Danny snipes back, dodging the next barrage of attacks. “All I’ve realized is that your comebacks get really boring after hour two.”
With a burst of speed he shoots down to where his thermos had been knocked to at the beginning of the battle.
He hefts his prize and with a wicked grin finally catches the irksome ghost with the thermos.
“Man,” Danny grumbled in the resulting silence, shaking the thermos to truly get across his displeasure. “You made me bail out the one time in weeks I was able to set aside and hang out with Tucker and Sam. Hopefully they’ll at least still be at the mall, and they won’t be too mad at me.”
That second hope is unlikely, but Danny refuses to acknowledge it as he speeds back to the mall where he, Sam and Tucker had gone to hang out at. He de-transform’s two blocks from the entrance and rushes over to two familiar figures he can see on the nearby bench.
“I’m so sorry that it took so long guys! Things just got really busy and I totally lost track of time.”
Danny grins his ‘I’m sorry I abandoned you guys for almost three hours at the mall and did not come back with the Dairy Queen I promised’ smile. That fight with Skulker had gone on so much longer than he had intended. He really needs to invest in some kind of strap to keep his thermos from getting knocked away somewhere.
His grin fades when he sees his friends' troubled expressions.
With a glance around he sees the mall parking lot is almost entirely abandoned, and with a start he realizes that it’s already nightfall.
“I’m, I really am sorry guys. I promise next time I won’t bail out. Can we, maybe, head over to my place and play some Doom before you guys have to go home?”
The two share a long, complicated look while Danny tries and fails to keep from fidgeting.
With a sigh Sam stands up and turns to face him fully, her eyes sad but sharp in a way Danny has always admired.
“Listen Danny… we, I don’t think we can keep going like this. The constant flaking, the excuses, you barely even hang out with us anymore without leaving abruptly ten minutes in and you can never offer anything but empty promises about doing better the next time.”
That was another thing he always liked about Sam, she always got to the heart of the issue without trying to spare your feelings.
“I know, I know. I’m so sorry this keeps happening. You guys have got to know I don’t do it on purpose.”
Danny glances at them both, and he knows, deep, deep down, that he’s hit their friendship’s breaking point. But he can’t just not hang out with them. Sam and Tucker are his oldest and only real friends. He’s doing everything, all of this, to keep them safe.
“Please, can we just forget this and try-“
“No Danny! We can’t just forget this!” Sam looks like she is about to cry, “You’ve barely hung out with us in the last few weeks, always saying you’re ‘busy’ and never even telling us when you go!”
“I’m sorry Danny. we just, we don’t really know you anymore.” Tucker’s first words are quiet, but they cut Danny just as deep as Sam’s.
“Listen, just give Sam and I some space for a few weeks. We aren’t, we don’t want to stop being friends with you, but it’s hard when you never seem to have the time for us like we try to make the time for you.”
And with that Tucker stands up and gives Danny one sorrowful look before reaching out for Sam and leading the two of them away.
As the two of them walk away Danny is left alone, again, just like he’s been alone since he stepped into that stupid portal.
Danny can’t do this.

Big Ol Ask Post Pt. 3 I think
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I haven’t drawn anything other than cursed or plain technical stuff w him 😔😔 have these for now but expect more soon!
anon a way back asked what he’d look like next to Overlord being already so big compared to Megs, that’s why you see Lordie if you’re wondering why he’s thrown in that line up!
by the way I have a voice claim for the big purple simp— Jenner from NIMH, he’s so awful but that suave baritone oh it fits too well >:] it’s the ‘humble servant’ line that got to me
Tumblr media
Yep! Pharma is absolutely in this AU—as well as the CFau and Crack one too—and in all, he’s still an estranged medic long since booted from any legal work back on Cybertron.
He lost his credibility and more all those years ago when he found himself willing to do his fair share of cutting corners and hastily concealed malpractice to expedite his dream of getting his name down in the medical books—ultimately impressing his dear Mentor Ratchet, finally, in perfecting long-since banned risky experiments and surgeries—not to mention cruel and unusual temperament with the (supposedly) taboo practice of non-medicinal mnemosurgery.
His ambitions and aggression always got the bet of him, this hasn’t changed since he found himself working in freelance outposts. Light years away from Cybertron, he’s made a name for himself as a Good Doctor—but to his under-the-table black market part-dealing clients, he’s just about as bad as a Crooked Medic can get.
Bounty hunters and Arms Dealers like him for his business, a certain DJD member likes him for the occasional berth company and seemingly never ending supply of fresh T-Cogs—but no one actually likes him for his nasty temperamental personality, save for a young and naive Ratchet once upon a time.
Pharma is a roamer, as of recent he’s been a hard to reach mech—seems as if he’s found a little project to keep himself pretty occupied in the last few decades—something about a breakthrough for aiding the Decepticon Energon Crisis :] him and a small, horrifyingly cheerful surgeon are well on their way to completing their first trial batches, it’s safe to say that their little synthetic mixture will have it’s users sated and compliant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they’ve got that amazing ‘new car smell’ those first few weeks, and instead of chittering like an Insecticons or vibrating their wings like a seeker—they beep and squeak, sometimes even honk a horn depending on the baseline altmode coding, to get their Creators’ attention before their vocalizer truly starts to kick online
It’s cute, but loud
Much like a seeker sparkling, they have to reach a certain ‘age’ (upgrade) to be able to transform completely, in between then they’re still able to rev those engines as a warning should they need it, as well as spin their wheels should they need a getaway HEELIES IF THEYRE LUCKY WOOHOOOOO—for seekers they can hover on their thrusters!
Tumblr media
Crusade is actually pretty formal with Megatron. But yeah as a kid, Megs was always known as Carrier, but as Sadie got older and more aware of their surroundings—they definitely came to learn the true weight of that title and the fact that they were the progeny of the faction leader, a fact they should have really held onto with more pride. Not wanting to draw more attention to the already blatant favoritism (and nepotism) Crusade made a switch to addressing Megatron as Sir, My Lord, Lord Megatron, —ect. to better fit in with their fellow troops.
It bothers Megatron more than than he lets on. Crusade shouldn’t have to hide their high ranking as his child, the heir to the faction. Megs is their Carrier and can only order them around for so long, as their Leader however—pulling rank may just allow for their infuriatingly stubborn sparkling to listen to them should a day come where even a Carrier’s plea is dismissed.
Crusade does slip up every now and then and a ‘Carrier’ will slip—often hushed and annoyed though as Megs does like to tease every now and then, gotta remind them that they’re still his baby every once in a while :’)
Optimus however—whenever him and Crusade should truly reunite, will never be called Sire by Crusade, which they so heatedly established early on—Crusade never needed one and they don’t need one now, better to not let the title trigger those long-suppressed emotions. Sure enough though Optimus will get his moment.
Tumblr media
actually no lmfao so you’re good! Eh, I haven’t mentioned much plot w them outside of them and Megs, plus bits of potential interactions with Optimus—so the rest of Team Prime is free game :D
For what I (hopefully will have) planned, their interactions with team Prime will be eh,,,interesting to each their own to say the least. Some more stressful than others BUT let’s not get into that until I’ve worked it out—for now I’ll just mention what they’re dynamics would be like when the drama of Oh Shit Boss Bot You’ve Been Hiding a Kid For HOW LONG has died down.
A usually touch-wary Crusade actually is the one to initiate a hug with Bulkhead, he’s the biggest and warmest and somehow is always happy to see them. Plus he tells cool recaps of Earth films and gifts them strange blobish paintings every now and then, all of which Crusade doesn’t exactly understand, but at least the colors are pretty.
Bee is annoying,,,which is what Crusade would say if confronted if they actually liked all the shenanigans Bee suggest they pull together, prank wars to the max, sparring for fun, video games?, DOUGHNUTS and RACES in the fortress halls??? Ahem. they are a super serious soldier, not a hooligan. But honestly, Bee is the one they seek out the most should they need an adventure, they missed out on a lot of this ‘fun’ growing up on the Nemesis—Bee seems to know how to balance a day of soldiering and dumbassery. sometimes.
Ratchet reminds them a bit too much of their Carrier than they’d care to admit. The medic is an old soul to his very core, perpetually tired but quick to snap into work mode, and sweet if you reallllllly squint. Sadie has been taught from day one to always respect medics, Ratchet obviously takes the cake on I’ve Seen Some Shit and for that alone Crusade both fears and admires Ratchet. Again, growing up on the Nemesis they didn’t have too many bots willing to talk much with them—but Ratchet (after he’s gone through his own lot of therapy, him AND Arcee. good lord) has a never ending pile of stories to share with them. Ratchet may throw in a few more colorful curses than necessary—which is SURPRISING bc Crusade thought they’d heard them all back home, but he’s entertaining and tells Crusade how it is, no sugarcoating. For that Crusade is grateful, there’s been too many half-truths thrown about to them in their recent years :’)
Ghost Prowl freaks them out—why does he deliberately have to be so sneaky?? Crusade has only met Prowl a fleeting handful of times (visits from the Allspark come with meaning, you know) and each time Crusade has been given nothing but odd riddles and poetic nonsense. Kidding. Prowl does like his wordplay’s but his given advice is always well meaning—the most firm and direct message Crusade has been passed though was probably most definitely “ Get those two cowards for mecha you call your Creator’s to stop fooling around with each other and SPEAK—at this rate it’s physically paining me that they haven’t begun Ritus and they’re not getting any younger”
Team Prime adores Sadie, they ask Megatron to see their sparkling photos every chance they catch him. And Crusade. hates it.

Bound by the Food Chain
"man what if there was something incorporating both the Ghost King and Ghost Hunger aus" i say, not prepared to spend weeks writing up an entire ecosystem structure for the ghost zone,
thanks @attackradish and @ectolemonades for help figuring out the science and writing!
summary: The ghostly Staff who've taken up residence in Phantom's Keep notice Danny doesn't eat any ectoplasmic food. That can't be good for him.
warnings: detailed description of ghost hunger, which is vaguely like cannibalism
words: 2830
AO3 link
===
“King Phantom, when do you feed?”
“Huh?” Danny looked up at the Keep’s Librarian, Vellum. It felt like an odd question, seeing as he was currently actively eating a sandwich he had packed up with him into the Zone. He was spending a few hours in the Keep that day since it was nice and quiet for getting work — from both realms — done, and he had brought some earth food over. Ghost plants just didn’t taste very good.
Vellum looked a little shocked, like she hadn’t realized she’d asked her question aloud. “I mean, clearly you eat human food quite a bit,” she gestured to his sandwich, “but I’ve never seen you take in any sort of ectoplasmic substance.”
Danny wasn’t an expert on the (strangely psychological) ecology of the Infinite Realms, but he was familiar with the fact that all ghosts had to take in some sort of ectoplasm if they wanted to be anything more than an inert impression of emotion. Since he had never gotten any enjoyment or significant energy from eating ghost plants or breathing in the stuff ambient in the air, he pretty much just stuck with eating human food and converting the chemical energy between his forms. He was lucky that he could do that, being part human. He knew he automatically gained some energy from the human emotions around him (including his own, another benefit of being liminal) but it was negligible. He got drained pretty easily, and he knew there were things he wasn’t trying, but… he was tired, not desperate. He’d be tired anyway, with his lack of sleep.
“That’s because I don’t. I can still use the chemical energy I get from human food in my ghost form, so…” he shrugged. “This is pretty much it.”
Vellum’s brows furrowed in concern. “Are you not a—” She pursed her lips. “Are you not tired?”
“What do you mean? I definitely eat more than a regular human, and as far as I’m aware I don’t lose any of my energy in conversion. I’m getting by.”
“I think we should talk to Dr. Marchs. I don’t know if it’s… ok, that you’re not feeding ectoplasmically.”
With some exasperation, Danny let himself be brought back to the Throne room, the preferred place for anything that could constitute a “meeting”. Apparently, talking to the Keep’s Doctor, Chef, and some other Staff members about his diet counted.
The various adult ghosts looked at Danny with shared expressions of confusion and concern from where they stood around him. He was sitting on the arm of the Throne, not the most comfortable but it still felt wrong to be properly seated in it unless necessary.
Dr. Marchs finally spoke their piece. “Forgive me for asking, Your Majesty, but… are you not a hunting-ghost?”
Danny was already out of his league culturally. He had a lot to learn. “As in… like, a predator?”
“Exactly! Your core best processes ectoplasm directly from other ghosts, correct?”
Danny paled. “I don’t… know? I tend to avoid going around, just… eating other sentient creatures.” He tried to say it in a humorous way. It didn’t work.
“So you’ve never tried! I had thought… Well, I think you must be a hunting-ghost. You put out a radiant power that is only associated with that core type.”
“None of us have seen you feeding,” added Vellum, “so we weren’t sure you didn’t just defy that association. I don’t think anyone really understands all the complications of half-human physiology.”
Dr. Marchs jumped back in easily. “It’s still just speculation. You have said that you don’t enjoy eating plants from this realm, yes?” Danny nodded. “And you don’t seem to get significant relief from human emotion. Well, we’re just going to have to have you try feeding on some ghosts.”
Danny jumped to his feet. “What?! I don’t… need that, I get by fine on human food!”
“But aren’t you tired?” pointed out the Chef. Her eyes widened. “That’s why you get so drained after using big attacks! Your energy reserves aren’t being nearly refilled.”
“I believe she’s right, Your Majesty. There’s only so much energy you can take from human food, which isn’t even alive… I think you’re always tired because your core is designed to have a level of energy that you can’t provide it without processing Vital ectoplasm.”
Danny didn’t want to admit that he was consistently pretty damn tired. Instead he tried to change the subject. Ghosts were passionate beings, and as much as he hated to take advantage of that, having one of the Keep Staff gush about one of their passions to him was much better than talking about his relationship with what was essentially cannibalism. “Vital?”
Dr. Marchs’ eyes sparkled a little. “Vital as in living, not as in essential. Ectoplasm comes in three major forms. Ambient plasm makes up most of the Realms, in environments and atmospheres and auras. All ghosts are made up of Vital plasm, and those with cores have their Obsession or Purpose imprinted into the crystal structure of their own ectoplasm, which can be turned into Charged ectoplasm. The Charged form can take up an elemental type according to the ability of its source, and it has the most capacity to hold or be converted into ectoenergy. The Charged form is used to transmit intention onto a target, so it’s generally created by Cored ghosts, who are creatures of intention, in attacks or construction. Regardless of type or state, ectoplasm processing depends on its form — Uncored ghosts can process strong human emotions or Ambient ectoplasm into the Vital type. Among Cored ghosts, hunter-ghosts can best process Vital ectoplasm, gatherer-ghosts the high-activity type of Ambient plasm found in ghost plants, and scavenger-ghosts human emotion. Additionally, Charged plasm no longer linked to the source of its intention will eventually disperse into Ambient, as its most inert form.”
Danny, sitting down, had already known part of that, but the Doctor was properly smiling at this point. Dr. Marchs blushed as they realized they had just been talking, but none of the other ghosts in the room appeared to mind.
“…Regardless, King Phantom, we should really find some blobs for you to try eating. I cannot in good conscience leave you persisting off such low energy.”
He wanted to argue, he really did, but all the Keep Staff present were looking at Danny with this pleading expression. They looked genuinely concerned, and he remembered a comment he’d heard before about some of the Staff latching onto the King with their Obsessions. Some unfortunate result of the connection they’d formed with the Keep, Danny certainly didn’t deserve it, but he did know how it felt to Obsess over taking care of someone and have them turn down that care. With the same concerned look directed back their way, he got up and was led to the Garden out back.
Danny was having second thoughts again once he found himself surrounded by blobs that had been enjoying the intricate plants and high Ambient ecto levels of the Keep Garden. They were squishy but soft, like mochi coated in a good layer of starch, each a bit smaller than his head, and they all looked at him with these big vibrant eyes. Their postures were energetic, like they expected to play a game.
Once he sat down with the rest of the small group — why did he have to have an audience? — the blobs swarmed around him, resting on the sky blue grass and on his shoulders and in the others’ laps. They looked almost as expectant as the Staff in front of him.
“I…“ he bit his lip. “I can’t justify eating a living creature when I can choose not to. I know lots of ghosts have to eat others to persist, but I have the privilege that I can eat human food instead. Since I have that option, I can’t just… end another creature so I can feel a bit better.” Hey, Sam would be proud of him.
The present Staff donned looks of confusion. An Advisor who used the Keep as a home spoke up, eyes wide with realization. “Ah! Living creatures all share a survival instinct — that’s a natural result of evolution, yes? Things that do their best to live have their genes passed on? That’s not necessary for Uncored ghosts, since they do not reproduce and therefore don’t evolve. The only instincts experienced by the Uncored are instincts to better the Realms. Unless they’ve developed a strong individual personality, the Uncored are much more interested in contributing than in persisting.”
Danny’s head tilted in curiosity. Dr. Marchs took the reins on the rest of the explanation.
“The Realms are built socially where the living realm is built physically. Our homes and well-being are made from emotion, belief, and community. So for Uncored ghosts, spawned of the dimension itself, they want their ectoplasm and energy to be where it supports those communities the most, and that means ensuring the health of the ghosts in charge. Generally speaking, the more powerful a ghost is, the more likely they are to have some importance to the Realms. The Uncored — and many Cored — can sense a ghost’s power due to how much excess ectoplasm they let off. In fact, that excess is almost immediately put off as Ambient ectoplasm, meaning that there is simply more Ambient plasm around a powerful ghost, and the Uncored are often attracted since that provides sustenance for them . It’s a mutualistic relationship where one entity feeds off another, and in the end the resources of the weaker ghosts are given to the stronger, supporting the Realms. In fact, there are some cultures who believe that converting ectoplasm into a form the Cored can process is the entire reason for the existence of the Uncored.”
Vellum smiled slightly as she added on, “It’s not an entirely accurate strategy, as the most powerful ghost around is not always going to be a hunter type. They usually are, seeing as that’s the most efficient form of feeding, but it’s not impossible to be otherwise. The result in these cases is Uncored ghosts following around said Cored ghost, and as the same aspect of community comes into play, that ghost soon ends up hanging around a hunter type, who feeds on the prey that was collected.”
Danny cringed a little at the use of the word “prey”.
He looked around at the blobs nuzzled up against him. Those who didn’t look to be something resembling unconscious were peering up at him. They certainly looked expectant, as much as something without even a permanent mouth can.
After he was silent for a few moments, another Staff member spoke up, likely wanting to lighten his mood. “They really do like you! I’m not surprised, even aside from your natural power, the role you play as High King causes ectoplasm to be magnetized to you. I’m sure they’re having a little feast themselves!”
It did not lighten his mood. Danny felt genuinely guilty. Even if he wasn’t doing it on purpose, wasn’t he effectively manipulating these creatures into offering themselves up to be eaten? It wasn’t right, to make them feel as if they want to be ended, just because he had some sort of aura.
But the gathered Staff were still concerned, and anticipatory, and, somehow, hopeful . He couldn’t turn them down at this point. He’d just have to bite into one of the little ghosts surrounding him, just once. He’d throw up, disgusted with himself, and the Staff would realize it wasn’t better for him, and the remaining blobs would remember that they don’t want to die, and they’d flee, and everybody would just leave the subject alone . He only had to try.
(The human dread he was emitting at this point must have been feeding everyone else.)
“…Okay,” he said simply, and gently picked up a blob that had been sitting on his leg.
Before he could rethink himself again, he brought it to his lips. He opened his jaw slightly wider than a human’s would likely go and, fangs instinctually extended, bit down.
Danny was familiar with the scent of ectoplasm. Copper and citrus and battery acid and salt. But when he broke the surface of the small ghost and the viscous fluid burst into his mouth, the salty and bitter aspects were lost on his tongue, replaced by a thick sweetness and the cold tingle of energy. Where his fangs pierced an inch down into the substance of the ghost, he tasted this fulfillment in its emotional ectoplasm. He’s not sure he would have been able to taste it if he weren’t part human. Still, the feeling was something distinctly ghostly, a similar satisfaction to fulfilling an Obsession or a Purpose. It was hard to feel bad, sympathizing automatically with that simple rightness. The way the emotion pressed at his brain, the way the semisolid edges of the ghost slicked against his tongue, his own self-revulsion melted to the back of his mind. The ectoplasmic flesh met his teeth with a thick resistance, but it was nothing to break past it and open up to the deeper substance. It was vibrant, a pure cool energy that pulsed against his fangs. (His core sucked it up greedily.) His mouth met the energy with a pulsing of its own, a harmonizing signal sent from his core throughout his body like a heartbeat. It came out as a low purr that vibrated deep through the charged air around him. He couldn’t help but rush to swallow, though his body absorbed it just as easily without.
The blob ghost had been the size of his foot, and now it was part of the energy making up his own form. Compared to the power his core was passively putting out, to the amount it longed to have refilled, it wasn’t all that much. Unconsciously, his core put out an ectoenergetic signal that he was ready to feed. The blobs around him nuzzled closer yet, making themselves available. Danny could feel a few other Uncored ghosts who were drifting nearby come into the garden and join them.
He looked up from his ectoplasm-stained hands at the Keep Staff. They were looking at him, relieved, pleased (even though they just watched him tear into a living thing and then absorb it into his being like it didn’t even matter, said a part in the back of his consciousness. It was hard to focus on, though. It was coming from his brain, not his hungry core, after all). With his core this active, he could feel the presences of all the other ghosts around. The blobs flocking around him had auras that were weaker than the Cored Staff, but sturdy. There was a balance to them that signaled the ectoplasmic types they were taking in and storing. He sensed the Uncored pulling in the Ambient ectoplasm that sloughed off of him, barely connected to him anymore if not for the weight of the space surrounding him. And he could feel all of their stores of energy-dense Vital plasm.
He could also feel, just as an aspect of his being, his own energy stores. The metaphysical space in his center that his form and all his strength drew from. He could remember, abstractly, the moment he died and that reservoir came to be and was instantly flooded with energy. The way the portal had searched the air until it found his body and his little human soul and used him as a conduit, and all that electricity punched a hole between planes right where his ghost was trying to form, and something tore outward from that starting place just on top of his being, and the vacuum that formed on earth and in the Zone and everything in between pulled until the Infinite Realms rushed his body and in one instantaneous moment his forming core was flooded with enough ectoplasmic energy to become entirely corporeal (if it hadn’t, his ghost wouldn’t have manifested nearly quickly enough to keep him alive), and his being was stretched beyond its limits containing everything. For one moment, he had been filled with more energy than he had thought possible, and his ghost had formed itself to accommodate. Since then he’d felt so… empty. His body took what it could from human food and environmental energy, but it was made for more than that. He had blocked out the awareness of his reserves and gotten used to trying to power all his defenses on so little. He was always so tired.
He still felt low, running on just enough to operate something humanish. But his core had latched on to the ectoplasm provided by the blob, the kind it was designed to process, and finally felt a little relieved. Most ghosts that stayed within the Realms were almost always full. Danny wasn’t nearly there yet.
He reached down and grabbed another blob.

...the ghost hunter au thing earlier today grabbed my brain and I drabbled this thing.
Featuring the ghost hunting team of Scar and Doc, on a trip to see what's up with the house Zedaph and Welsknight have decided to flip. XD
It's crack but I'm taking it semi-seriously so... enjoy?
____________
“Right, so.” Scar slammed the car door and plonked his thermos into the cupholder. “The official story is that they’ve got a rat problem.”
Doc grunted, putting the vehicle in gear and starting to back out of the long driveway. The thick cushion of fallen leaves muffled the gravel under their tires, and the bright autumn sunshine through the nearly-bare branches overhead flickered over the windshield. “Rats, huh?” he said, craning his neck to look out the back window. “I take it it is not, in fact, a rat problem.”
“Now Doc, wherever would you get a silly notion like that?” Scar flashed him a grin, then tugged open the glove box to retrieve the atlas stored there. “No, it’s not rats. Probably. Maybe. Won’t know until we check it out, I guess.”
“It better not be rats.” The car bumped over the small curb and onto the main street — a quiet lane just outside of the city proper, lined with old factory-town houses. “You know how I feel, Scar, about the rats.”
“It’s probably not rats.” Scar waved a dismissive hand, thumbing through the atlas. “Now — do we want to take the interstate or the highway? Interstate is faster, but the back roads are more direct.” He glanced up. “Also: prettier.”
With a grimace, Doc shook his head. “The interstate traffic is so bad right now… let’s try the back roads.”
“Alriiiiiiight,” Scar crowed. “Wightsville, here we come.”
“Seriously, man? What — were they just asking for it to be haunted?”
“Hey, I didn’t name the town.”
Doc snorted, and flicked on his blinker, turning south.
As the car picked up speed, the brilliant blue sky overhead watching them wind down the curving highways of the hilly countryside, Doc picked up his own thermos and took a sip, savoring the bitter bite of the coffee. “So,” he said. “You said the official story is that there are rats. Why is there an official story?”
“Oh. Well. Umm…” Scar scratched his neck and glanced sideways. Doc knew that look.
“Scar,” he said, keeping his voice calm. “Why do I get this feeling that you are hiding something about this job?”
“Okay look, it’s like this—there’s two people working on this house and one of them called us in but he doesn’t want the other guy to know we’re there about ghosts because apparently he doesn’t believe in ghosts so we’re supposed to pretend to be looking for rats.”
There was silence in the car for a long moment, the only sound that of the tires rumbling over the asphalt.
“Well,” Doc said finally. “You at least got our payment up front, yes?”
His friend hesitated. “Um. Yes?”
Doc shrugged, and took another sip of coffee. “Then let’s go look for the rats.”
-*-
Apparently, it was a house-flipper situation.
Doc was… not fond of house-flippers. He grudgingly admitted that in some cases, they did good — it was nice to see older houses rescued from whatever shambles they’d fallen into and brought back to life.
But they also had a horrible habit of stirring up things they had no idea how to deal with, and if he had a dollar for every time a house-flipper had bungled the supernatural heritage of the house worse than the period-inaccurate bathroom fittings, he could probably afford to buy a house himself.
Scar would like that, he mused. Might be nice to work out of a place they owned, rather than renting out Stress’ basement.
He shook his head. That was a train of thought for another day. And another paycheck.
These two house-flippers were a bit different than some he’d dealt with. Apparently one of them had inherited it from a grandmother, and there was some idea of turning it into a bed-and-breakfast. The house had sat vacant for at least five years before this, and honestly — even if it hadn’t come prepackaged with a haunting, that was a great way to attract something that just needed a place to latch on.
“Wels—it was his granma—” Scar explained, reading from his phone as Doc navigated a curving stretch of road. “—is convinced that there’s nothing wrong with the house a few good old-fashioned rat traps won’t fix. Zed is the one who called us. Apparently he’s a sensitive—”
Doc snorted.
“—a sensitive,” Scar repeated, with a half-joking glare, “And he says he’s seen things in the house that rats can’t do. And he claims to have heard a young boy’s voice.”
“Ugh… I really do not like child ghosts.” Doc rubbed at the back of his neck, already feeling the prickles of unease. “They are so creepy, man.”
Scar shrugged. “Not even sure if that’s what it is yet,” he said. “Between you and me and this coffee here, Doc—” and he gave a loud slurp for emphasis, “—I’m kinda leanin’ towards Wel’s point of view here. I did some research already, just a lil’ looky-loo into local newspapers and stuff online? And I didn’t find anything interesting about the house.”
A road sign flashed past, declaring sixty-four miles to their destination. They should get there about sunset at this rate.
Perfect. Child ghosts, or worse: rats, and they’d probably have to stay overnight.
Just perfect.

Which would be fine if it didn’t cause actual shivers to run down his spine. (or the one where a friendly witch gives Dean the little push he needs)
Every Part of You | @the-communist-unicorn

Dean suggests the two of them escape reality for a bit and hit up a party being held at Ghost Town. As they drink and get high, they realize their feelings for each other run deeper than friendship.
It Started With Arousal | @vampamber
Rating: Explicit Word Count: 4,260 Main Tags/Warnings: ABO, angel Cas, alpha Cas, omega Dean, soul bonds, virgin Cas, porn with plot Summary: It was when Castiel violently slammed the demon into the wall mid-fight that he felt it. The bond he had with Dean ever since he pulled the omega out of Hell had been getting stronger lately, but this was the first time that Castiel truly experienced an emotion that wasn't his own. He had expected something like this to happen eventually, but there was no way he ever would have expected such a feeling at a time like this. Dean was… aroused? He spared a quick glance at the hunter, meeting green eyes but seeing nothing that might cause said arousal. When three more demons kicked through the door to enter the room and the fight, Castiel promptly forgot the confusing emotion. For the time being, at least.
Kiss Me | @peanutbutterjelly-pie
Rating: Teen & Up Word Count: 4,285 Main Tags/Warnings: Canon Compliant, First Kiss, Humor, Friends to Lovers Summary: Dean’s spur-of-the-moment ideas aren’t always the best, as lots of people are able to attest. And his last one really took the cake. Because now he’s unable to forget the taste of Castiel’s lips and he’s got no freaking clue how to deal with this.

Of course only because Castiel’s education about movies is still bad. Not like it’s a date. Sadly.
Swayze Always Gets A Pass | @kingdumbass
Rating: Teen & Up Word Count: 4,766 Main Tags/Warnings: Bunker Fic, First Kiss, Drunk Dean and Cas Summary: After Dean and Cas get into an argument over a case, Dean tries to apologize by asking Cas to Netflix and chill. Featuring: Cas the movie critic, his drunk friend, Dean, and Dean's tired brother, Sam.
Y Tu Dean Tambien | @a-mandala-rose
Rating: Teen & Up Word Count: 6,909 Main Tags/Warnings: High School AU, Geek Dean, Closeted Bi Dean, Pan/Possibly Demi Cas, Referenced Homo/Biphobia, Low/No Angst, Implied/Referenced Consensual Underage Non-Penetrative Sex, Nothing Explicit, Happy Ending Summary: Dean Winchester has a crush. A great, big, secret, gay crush. Okay, more like a great, big, secret, bisexual crush, if we’re being technical. Either way though, the relevant word here is secret, because Dean lives in Kansas, which isn’t exactly known for its thriving LGBT community. In fact, he’s pretty sure most of his neighbors don’t actually know what LGBT stands for and he’d be willing to bet that if asked, at least a solid 10% would think it’s a sandwich. So yeah, nobody knows that Dean’s spent the past six months crushing on Cas Novak, the sexy junior in his Spanish II class, and it’s damn well going to stay that way. “Hola, Señor Winchester,” murmurs a gravelly voice in Dean’s ear, straight out his dirtiest fantasies and close enough to raise the hairs on the back of his neck, as Dean suppresses a shiver. The smirk on the mouth housing that goddamn sinful voice tells him that while he may have resisted the full-body shudder, his red cheeks did not go unnoticed by the boy sliding fluidly into the desk directly behind him. “Hey, Cas.” Nobody knows about Dean’s crush except for Cas, that is. Cas definitely knows.
Game of Survival | @sorajinsei
Rating: Explicit Word Count: 8,317 Main Tags/Warnings: Suspense, Alternate UniverseThriller,Alternate Universe - Purge, Demonic Possession, Alternate Universe - Angels & Demons, Bottom Castiel/Top Dean Winchester, Alternate Universe - Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies Summary: Who's in the shadows? Who's ready to play? Are we the hunters? Or are we the prey? There's no surrender and there's no escape.

Cas pops his mouth off Dean’s dick and stares at him. "I never said I wanted to put a finger in you," he says slowly, and then stops and tilts his head. "Do you want me to put a finger in you?" ~~~~ Dean comes to terms with this thing with Cas, and with himself.

There were more important things to worry about - namely the pandemic that swept across the globe and changed everything. Navigating this new environment was hard enough without adding romance. But fate never intervenes when you expect. From first meetings to first dates, we'll see how Dean and Castiel's relationship blossoms despite the circumstances.
Put That On A T-Shirt | @celipuff
Rating: Explicit Word Count: 21,524 Main Tags/Warnings: Dean’s First Time With A Man, Blowjobs, Top!Dean/Bottom!Cas, Semi Public Sex Summary: Getting blindfolded and blown by a random dude his girlfriend knew didn’t exactly sound like an ideal Sunday for Dean, until it actually happened.

Warped Mirror
Decided to write something based vaguely on the “Spork AU” idea. Instead of Episode 1 Danny meeting Episode 50+ Danny, though, I was curious about a Danny who never became Phantom meeting one who had. This first part is just establishing Human!Danny’s world.
I’ll post it to AO3 when I have the rest of it finished.
---
Three kids stood before a giant machine in the shape of a door. It should have been humming along and glowing green, with a great hole to another world in the middle. Instead, it was cold and silent.
“They spent years working on it,” Danny explained, “and then nothing. Mom and Dad have been moping in their room all day.”
Tucker looked around at the portal and the hodgepodge of computer parts attached to it. “It’s probably a loose wire somewhere. I’m sure they’ll figure it out.”
“In the meantime, this would make for an awesome picture,” Sam said with a smile. She held up her polaroid camera.
“Oh no, you’re not getting me anywhere near that,” Tucker immediately walked away from the portal.
“Come on! When they get this thing working we’ll never be allowed near it. Besides, it’s not like it’s going to do anything right now.”
“Then why don’t you get over there and let one of us take the picture?” Tucker asked.
“Because neither of you know anything about lighting or framing a shot. Please?” When she saw that Tucker was not going to budge, she looked over at Danny with wide, pleading eyes.
He looked anxiously at the portal. So far none of his parents’ inventions had really worked, but that didn’t mean that they weren’t dangerous. Still, Sam was right. It was pretty cool, and getting a picture with the thing could be a good way to keep a memory.
“Yeah, okay, let me put on a jumpsuit in case there’s a live wire or something.”
Ten minutes later he was suited up in the white-and-black safety jumpsuit his parents had made for him. It wasn’t really a hazardous materials outfit - there was no full hood or respirator, or even goggles. It was made of something that was supposed to repel ectoplasm and certain chemicals that his parents used and was insulated against minor shocks, so it would have to do.
“Oh, no no. I’m not taking your picture while you’re wearing that,” Sam announced. Danny was about to argue, but she reached over and pulled the sticker of his dad’s face off of the suit. “Now you’re good.”
Danny laughed. “Good thinking, Sam. Wouldn’t want to be immortalized in your photos with that on me.” He walked up to the portal. It was a massive piece of machinery, nearly six feet in diameter and deep enough to fit a car. He paused at the entrance. It was hard to imagine it as anything other than a creepy machine in the basement. If it had worked, it would have opened into a whole other world.
Tucker, meanwhile, was watching while anxiously tapping a foot. He had expected Danny to give in to Sam’s pleas. He was so predictable and utterly clueless. One of these days they would both realize that they were both desperately crushing on each other and they’d-
There was something plugged into the wall. Tucker wasn’t sure what it was, but he had a bad feeling about it.
“Hold up!” he shouted. Tucker went over and unplugged the cord from the wall outlet, and checked around for more outlets just in case. When he didn’t find anything else, he called back, “Okay, I think it’s alright now.”
“Good thinking, Tuck,” Danny’s voice echoed in the portal. “Hey, Sam, is this good?”
Sam set up her shot. “Looks great! Just hold there a second.” She counted down before the flash went off. The camera whirred and produced a polaroid. “Lemme take a couple more,” she said before swiftly doing so from slightly different angles. “That should be good!”
Danny started to walk out of the portal. Something caught his foot. He tripped and fell backwards, flailing his arms wildly in hopes that he would catch something. His right hand hit the side of the portal. It stabilized him for a second, but then the wall clicked. Danny stared down at his hand, a chill lancing up his spine. He hadn’t hit the wall. His hand was resting on a button marked “ON.”
“Oh my god,” he blurted.
“Danny? Are you okay?” Sam called. He could hear them both scrambling toward the portal.
“I’m good! I just tripped!” Danny got out of the portal as fast as he could. “My parents put the on/off buttons on the inside! If Tucker hadn’t unplugged it…” All three teens stared at the portal. Danny could have died, just for tripping over a stupid wire.
Finally Tucker gulped and broke the silence. “Want to see if your parents can get it to work now?”
Danny shook himself out of it. “Yeah! I’ll go ask if they forgot about that.”
They all but ran out of the lab.
---
The Fenton RV sped down the street, ghost alarms blaring. In the back, Danny got his weapons together as quickly as he could with all the jostling and swerving. They’d let Dad drive; time was of the essence.
“A level six!” Jack crowed from the driver’s seat. “Maybe even a seven! How long’s it been since we saw one like that?”
“About four months,” Danny grumbled. He still vividly remembered when the town had been drawn into the Ghost Zone and besieged with an army of skeleton constructs. He was not looking forward to a repeat of that hell. The Fenton Blaster in his hands whined as he attached the power source.
“We’ll have to be careful, Jack,” Mom cautioned as she always did. “We don’t have the Ecto-Skeleton this time.”
“Are you sure we shouldn’t call in the Guys in White?” Danny asked. They might not be the best ghost hunters, but they did have a lot more firepower.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Danny! I’m sure we can take care of this before they even notice something’s happening. Besides, your mom and I are still dealing with the paperwork from the last time they showed up.”
Danny shuddered. He was extremely glad that he didn’t have to deal with that aspect of ghost hunting.
His dad pulled up to the mall with a loud honk of the horn and squealing tires. Danny and his mom ran out, blasters held at the ready. Dad backed them up with one of the Fenton Bazookas.
The mall was already evacuated. Some people milled around outside, anxiously talking amongst themselves. In the year and a half since the ghosts had started attacking the town, people had gotten frustratingly complacent about them. The invasion a few months back had shown most people just how dangerous they could be, but a stubborn few always were more concerned with getting good pictures than their own safety.
“Make way!” Mom shouted. “We’re here to take care of the ghost!” The crowd at least did part for them. A few people shouted at them. Some of it was words of support. A few tried to describe what they had seen - it was green, it was wearing all white, it was terrifying. Only a few made jokes or jeered at the Fentons as they passed. That was annoying, but it was a hell of a lot better than it had been a year ago.
The deserted mall was an eerie sight. Everyone had left in a hurry, leaving lights on and store music still echoing through empty halls. The Fentons’ footsteps seemed far too loud. The weirdest part was that everything seemed intact. When the technology ghost raided the mall he usually left trails of rubble and discarded packaging everywhere. The box ghost would leave piles of everything that he dumped out of his beloved boxes. Various other ghosts had attacked the mall in the past, and they almost always left signs of their passing. Why was this one different?
“Come out, ghost!” Dad shouted, his voice easily carrying through the empty mall. “Let’s make this quick!”
“Curious.” The voice was quiet, but had the same unnatural echo of all ghosts. Danny held up his blaster, but he couldn’t tell where the voice had come from. Beside him, his mom turned on her miniature Fenton Finder. It beeped alarmingly quickly.
“Two o’clock!” Mom shouted as she fired. Danny was only a moment slower, trying to fire a little ahead. The blasts didn’t connect with anything.
“I mean no harm,” the ghost said. Its voice was way too close for comfort. Danny turned to his right and shot where he thought it was, but he still missed.
“What do you want?” Danny asked. He didn’t really care. No matter what their obsessions were, ghosts only ever wanted to spread chaos and pain. Still, sometimes he could distract them by talking back.
The ghost appeared in front of them. It was tall, with dark, green-tinged skin and a lighter beard. Its eyes glowed a soft yellow. A white robe and hood covered most of its body, rippling in a nonexistent breeze.
A green beam from the Fenton Bazooka blasted towards the ghost. Its torso split apart to allow the beam to go through it. Danny grimaced. It was so gross when they did that. He followed his dad’s lead and started shooting the ghost. The ghost blocked all of his and Mom’s shots with a series of small green shields.
“This is entirely unnecessary,” the ghost huffed. It had the audacity to look bored.
“Then why not just go back to the Ghost Zone and leave us alone?” Danny shouted, annoyed. He ran off to the side, flanking the ghost. It finally started dodging the ectoblasts. If anything, though, the ghost just looked amused.
“Oh, I shall. First, though…” The ghost flung its hand out towards Danny. He winced, anticipating the burn of ectoblasts. He took a step back and his foot sank. With a shout, he fell into the glowing green portal that had opened right behind him.
