a build from mid 2015 of my old game 'Mr. Waffle Lover', and why everyone should archive their work

hello. this is gonna be a quick little post to talk about something. as you might already know. i've been making games since 2014. one of my Very First projects was a game called 'Mr. Waffle Lover'. i have a Lot to talk about it, but i want to save that for later. For now, i have something else i need to talk about.

So. this project was/is pretty important to me. it was one of the first things i made Ever, before i was even called 'Unlimited Trees' and before i was involved in Any online communities. i was learning A Lot from making it... a lot of the stuff i did for it is Unrecognizable from my current work.. and i havent made anything like it since. it means a lot to me, at least now.

Back Then, However... i did not treasure my work as i did now. You See, this game went through TONS of iterations. from 2014 to 2017, this game went through many changes across Multiple different project files, all with different assets and programming. during the early days, when i gave up on one iteration of the project, i would simply Delete the old files off my computer. And Then, at the beginning of 2016 when i changed my username to 'Unlimited Trees', i deleted ALL of my old work.

TONS of old games ive made were lost. some of the Very First works ive done Ever are completely missing. years of work went down the drain because i wanted to move on from my old work. But as time passed.. i became more fond of my old work, but realized that i could Never see any of it again. and since i never shared any of it to anyone outside of a few old friends (who i dont even have contact with anymore), there was no way i could get any of it back.

But. about over a year ago or so, i went through my old laptop and was able to find a bunch of old files with quite a few of my old games... some of these files werent the latest builds of these games so there was still a lot missing, but i was So Glad i found them... i have So Much i want to share and talk about and im happy i can share at least a little bit of the work ive done alone for years. even if no one cares about some dumb old games, im at least happy i dont have to worry about losing them again..

ANYWAYS. about this build of 'Mr. Waffle Lover'. it is the fourth iteration of the game. it has ideas which no other iteration has done (mainly the 'TNT' jumps). it has art and levels which i kind of like compared to the other early iterations. and it actually Plays Kind of Good , even if it is a little janky and basic. unlike most versions of the game, i actually remember sending builds of this to old friends, but i dont know if they ever played it or even still have it (i doubt they do Lol).

there's a lot more i could probably say about this, but i dont have the energy right now and will probably talk about it later in another post about 'Mr. Waffle Lover'. i have a Lot to share about it... just now is not the time. the video i posted speaks for itself, i think. its just a simple platformer with a basic OC. theres some stuff that wasnt shown in the video, such as an unfinished boss fight. but aside from that, thats all there is to see.

anyways, the point of this post is that i want to encourage more people to archive their work and not do what i did and delete all your stuff. even if in the moment you dont think your stuff is important.. you should at least keep your stuff saved in case you ever want to look back at it. Especially if youve been making things for Years... you might want to see just how much youve grown.. thats how i feel anyways. i am still missing a ton of work that ive made.. and ive since tried to archive everything i make. ive been making games for 8 years, and i put a Lot of time into the stuff ive made.. i never want to throw out any of my work again.

Oh my gosh so I also headcannon Jack as autistic! But im not comfortable with writing it yet because idk how. Im not autistic; my little sister is and i know a few things jack could have trouble with... but hes a grown ass man so i just dont know. Im definitely taking notes on what you write him as but could you give me some pointers?....maybe?

Im mostly referencing to Bitter with this

aaaa yeah it definitely presents differently in adults who've learned to mask, personally I don't plan to put certain things in specifically to talk about how he's autistic, I write with the background knowledge of what traits he displays, and then express them when relevant, it's relevant a lot with Jack simply due to how much it affects his life

now this is going to get long, so bare with me, because this is a whole lot more complicated than you might expect

there's really no one correct way to write Jack, since there's no one way that autism presents itself, the way I write him is based on a mix of myself and some people in my family, so I can give you a basic idea of what angle I personally come from

for one, I change the way I write about facial expressions and how emotions come across to Jack, in Jazz's chapters I'll write about the exact emotion she can see on their face, with Jack's I'll go with an obvious base emotion, but then if the person is expressing something more complicated, I'll describe their face in physical details

eg;

Jazz POV - Danny was upset, but his face was tight with frustration

Jack POV - Danny looked sad, but his eyebrows were furrowed and his mouth was set in a hard line

it's a subtle difference but it's one I try to maintain throughout Bitter, Jack's POV is based on how I have trouble reading non-obvious expressions, although in my case I also have trouble looking people in the face when I talk to them, that's harder to write in an emotion driven POV story, so I made Jack better at that than I am

his interest in machines is quite obvious, since he's an inventor, and he looooves infodumping on people, he gets very excited about his passions very quickly and his mouth runs off with him, something I also have trouble with, it hasn't been a prominent trait for Jack in Bitter, because he's so out of his element he's mostly confused and in a way, almost grieving his own death, so he's been far quieter than he usually is

his special interest is obviously ghosts and machinery, and in Bitter I cover that he's got a degree in engineering, physics and mathematics. He's good at them, I like to look at it as though Jack rolled high in intelligence and low in wisdom, he's book smart, he knows things that are straightforward and have firm rules, he's less comfortable in topics that are more wishy washy and vague, biology is complicated and has too many variables, he finds it difficult to grasp, there's no one standard rule that applies to every body

I also struggle with vague and unclear directions, I need a solid structure and clear instructions, my strength is in sorting, organising, alphabetising and colour coding, I like things to Look Right, I stick to a particular routine with very specific things, and it's viscerally uncomfortable and even distressing for me to have that order disturbed, I nearly had a meltdown at work because someone had done a part of my job incorrectly, and I had to fix it, it made me genuinely upset on a personal level, it was MY system, NOBODY should be touching it, NOBODY should be moving things around, they do anyway, and I spend a portion of my shifts just frustrated and on edge because of it

Jack also has issues socially, he often says or does things that other people find uncomfortable or embarrassing, I reference that in Bitter, where Jack assumes everyone is mad at him because he said or did something stupid, this I have much experience in, while in the middle of a social situation it's easy to just do what comes naturally to you and not realise it's off putting to other people, because people often play polite and you can't tell that they're uncomfortable, even though people around you find it painfully obvious

sometimes it's easy to see in hindsight after you've been told you made something awkward or uncomfortable, but in the moment if nobody says anything about it, you can remain either totally oblivious, or become anxious and second guess every interaction you have

Jack is the oblivious type, he's fortunate to live in a family that is fairly understanding, they might get frustrated with him, or embarrassed by him, but they don't really take it personally, they KNOW he means well, they know he cares, and Jack does care, he cares a lot, he feels things a lot, he's incredibly empathetic

this is a trait that a lot of media likes to ignore in depictions of autism, because I guess it makes people with autism seem 'too normal', when tv shows always want to be like 'hey wow look at this clever asshole! isn't he clever, but also an asshole! but you can't hate him because he's ✨autistic✨ and he can't help it'

that bothers me a lot, I mean some people with autism do have trouble relating and empathising with people, my brother is one of them, but some people with autism really empathise a lot, some of us feel things very strongly, I'm highly empathetic and it's a real struggle to cope with

so yeah, it is a very complicated thing, so you need to go in with an idea of what their character struggles with, how it affects them, and when it's relevant in the story, also autism falls on a very wide spectrum, some people, like myself, are able to mask well, but that creates a big issue with identity, when you start to wonder how much of you is real and how much of you is mask, then you have to decide if you want to lower that mask and accept the social consequences of expressing yourself naturally

I have a friend who presents a little more obviously, he's very rigid in his ways and he talks like he's reading from a script, I have another friend who can socialise just fine, but will go into a total meltdown when a plan gets derailed and she doesn't know what to do next

another friend I have is highly social and incredibly boisterous, she stims with her whole body, dances around a lot, she's chaotic and that can be off-putting to people, she's had to spend a lot of her life holding that back, she's only recently started learning how to be herself shamelessly

my brother was incredibly social when he was younger, and people always really loved him, but most of that is mask, he's socially anxious and just wants to be alone most of the time, and he's a total prick to his immediate family, I don't take that personally any more, since now I understand that he's so blunt and brutally honest because he isn't masking with us, but also he still needs to be called out when he oversteps, autism might be why he has difficulty empathising, but it's not an excuse to be a complete asshole, even people with autism need to be called out on shitty behaviour, it isn't a get out of jail free card, our self expression shouldn't come at the cost of hurting other people, most of us are more than capable of learning to not be an asshole

I know this is like, A LOT, but these are the things that need to be considered when writing about autism, it is an all encompassing thing that permeates your entire life experience, I absolutely welcome people like you to try to write about it! Because I think it shouldn't be a taboo subject, and I appreciate that you asked for advice and that you want to do it respectfully, you've probably seen first hand how difficult living with autism can be, having a family member on the spectrum, so you already have some experience to draw from, I don't know your relationship with your sister or how old she is, or where on the spectrum she falls, but if possible you can ask her about her experiences in particular situations that you're having trouble writing, if that's something you and she are comfortable with

I hope this helps, just remember to keep an open mind and listen to any feedback you might get, it is very VERY easy to misrepresent autism so don't be too hard on yourself if you don't quite get it right, if someone gives you a critique, take it in stride and use it to become better ~ you can even express that in an authors note, that you want to write it accurately and invite anyone with experience to share their opinion, because like I said, it is different for everyone and my experiences are not universal, and you're welcome to run something by me every once in a while if you aren't sure about it ❤️

New Dawn Fades — Literary References Analysis Part 4: The Id, the Ego, the Superego

Cyberpunk Spoiler Warning 

Here’s part four of me going through all the endings and looking for the literary references in each of the endings, which I believe allude to what happens to V/Johnny, possibly in future DLC. If you haven’t read my other posts, you should read them here (Johnny’s Mikoshi poem, V’s Mikoshi Poem, The Star ending) first since we’re gonna loop back to them later.

New Dawn Fades was such a pain in the ass; because Johnny is such an art hoe, I found three different poems/stories scattered around. Not only that, but two of them are translated from Polish, and one of them us from Ovid’s The Metamorphoses. I studied English literature so…forgive me if this is super surface-level. Also, stuff gets lost in translation, so the original meaning sometimes gets lost. If Polish literature is anyones niche, please teach me a thing two, but all I can do now is my best! But from what I could tell, damn…paints a pretty depressing picture. Let’s start with the two Polish writers first:

Bolesław Leśmian, "Why so many candles...”

Why so many candles, these faces above me?

No more harm shall ever meet my body.

Everyone is standing - while here alone I lie -

Grieving, feigning. One must be true when one must die.

And so, buried under these wreathes of leaves, I lie -

Solemnly - Agelessly - Solitarily.

Death, gone silent, once again rushes to my head,

Though by now I know all my comprehension is dead.

How I loathe to become accustomed to this grave,

To be what I once was - that is all I crave.

This one is…yikes. Depressing. As I talked about in previous posts, V’s poem is more pessimistic: nothing we do matters, we’re all just dust in the wind, you know, the good stuff. Johnny’s poem has a very different stance; art makes us immortal, and we can change the world, etc. With this…Johnny seems to have given his larger-than-life attitude up in favor of V’s resignation that life sucks. Much like Prufrock in V’s poem, Johnny is lying “Solemnly - Agelessly - Solitarily.” Almost as if he didn’t want V’s body, not as a selfless gesture…but because he has grown accustom to his previous form. In Johnny’s version of Alt’s poem, it almost seems as if he embraces being a construct — the form of immortality it, and his legacy, grants him (remember all that hokey about being a golden bird to sing his message to the youth?). Blackwall was a kind of death Johnny knew — yet now:

“How I loathe to become accustomed to this grave,

To be what I once was - that is all I crave.”

Interesting. We never find out where Johnny is going when he leaves Night City, but it makes me wonder. Is he truly starting anew? Or hoping to fix what went wrong?

In the next room, we find another poem, this one an excerpt from Labyrinth by Wisława Szymborska:

So this way or that,

Or no, the other,

By ear or by your gut,

By your wits or by shortcut,

By any means necessary,

Cutting crooked corners.

Past whatever row in a row

Of corridors and gates,

Quickly, in the meantime

Your time grows short,

From one place to another

To one of many still open,

Of darkness and plight

But also delight, held just ajar,

Where there's joy, though sorrow

Lies well-nigh nearby,

And elsewhere, somewhere,

Wheresoever and whereabout,

Fortune in misfortune

Like a parenthetical parenthesis

Acceptance of it all

And suddenly - a fall

I’m a little shaky on the meaning behind this one. My immediate response is to compare it to the poem found in The Star — which contains a piece from The Marriage Between Heaven and Hell by William Blake. The overarching use of this poem, by my interpretation, is an explanation for what the Blackwall is: hell. But not hell how most would perceive it. In fact, according to Blake, hell isn’t so bad. Our views of heaven and hell, good and evil, are wrong. Everyone contains both good and bad within them, and neither is wrong, simply two opposites; between conformity and rebellion, art and obedience. If we were to look at it this way, V would most likely belong in “Heaven,” the world of the obedient, those who play by the worlds rules (at least, in the beginning of the story, before Johnny influences them toward the rebel path), while Johnny represents “Evil,” and would belong to Hell. In some dialogue choices, Johnny will even state that he no longer believes he is a human, and is in fact code, no longer belonging in the world of the living. In this scenario, both have found themselves where they don’t belong. Not only that — but one is supposed to be a healthy mix of so-called “Good” and “Evil.” The “Soul,” and “Body,” are one, not meant to be separated. Uh oh. The tone of this poem in Johnny’s context just seems so…lost, to me. Someone who found their other half, their perfect foil, a soul and body as one…and now it’s gone. What does one do after such a loss?

And finally, the most grim of the three stories: Ovid’s The Metamorphoses. Specifically, Book III, Narcissus and Echo. This one most likely has the greatest significance; not only is it a shard you can pick up, but an open copy of the book can be found in Johnny’s hotel room, drawing further attention to it. 

If you haven’t read it, let me give you a quick and dirty summary:

At the beginning of the story, Narcissus’ mother, Liriope, asks the prophet Tiresias if her son will live to see old age, which he replies “only if he does not know himself.” One day when Narcissus is 16, he is out hunting when he finds a mountain Nymph named Echo. Echo, as one might guess, was cursed by Hera and can only repeat what is said back to her. You know. Like an echo. Echo falls in love with Narcissus at first sight and follows him throughout the forest, waiting for him to speak so she can communicate with him. Narcissus eventually gets separated from his hunting group, and calls out for them, which Echo…well, echos. Eventually Echo reveals herself and Narcissus freaks out, telling her basically he’d rather die than be with her. She hides in a cave and pines until she whithers away from hunger, and only her voice remains.

Many other nymphs fall for Narcissus because apparently he’s a straight up snack, but he rejects all of them. Apparently someone gets so salty about it, they summon the Goddess of Vengeance to do something about it. She leads him to a crystal clear pool, in which he is able to see his reflection. Remember the thing about knowing oneself? Yeah…At first, Narcissus thinks the reflection is a different person and falls in love. He smiles, the reflection smiles, so it must like him back, right? Eventually he reaches to touch it, and realizes that it’s him. He freaks out, and much like Echo, stays by his reflections side until he withers away. Having a total meltdown, he cries out “Alas!” which is echoed, by well, Echo. Her voice lived on, and she watches him die as he calls “Farewell, dear boy. Beloved in vain.” Once again, Echo repeats this. Narcissus dies and all the thirsty hoes make a pyre to burn him, but when they go looking for him they find the Narcissus (flower) instead (nooo...dont transform into a flower, you’re so sexy ahaha). 

So what does this mean for Johnny/V? Well, two main things pop out to me: transformation, and reflections. Much like Echo and Narcissus are reflections of each other, V and Johnny reflect each other. As @ellitira pointed out in my analysis of the Star, V and Johnny constantly reflect each other. One of the most obvious ways is their literal reflection; if you look in a mirror during a relic malfunction, you’ll see Johnny, not V. But scenes are reflected as well; the first and last time V meets Johnny, they grab him by the shoulder from behind to get his attention as he turn to face them. The first time Johnny and V have a civil conversation, they’re sitting at a table in Tom’s Diner, Johnny’s foot on the table. This mimics their conversation in Mikoshi with Alt. Their conversation about taking a bullet for one another in the Pista Sofia where Johnny is sitting backwards on a chair while V is on the ground is also repeated moments later, as Johnny and V have their final conversation about who will stay and who will go with Alt. Johnny also mentions that he spent his first few weeks in NC laying in bed, staring at the ceiling fan. When he awakens in New Dawn Fades, what is he doing? Staring at the ceiling fan…in Pacifica, not far from the Pista Sofia. The boy who he gives the guitar to is even wearing V’s “favorite shirt”…the one we see them wearing in the first scene they’re introduced. There’s probably loads more, so feel free to share if you find any more. If you want to know more about why this is significant, make sure to read about V’s version of Alt’s poem. 

So why do these reflections/echos matter? Well, what does one do with a reflection? Reflect. Johnny begins to examine himself through V, and he begins to realize he doesn’t like what he sees. If V calls him the man who saved her life, he’ll respond with “you have no idea how badly I want that to be true.” He tries his best to right his wrong only after this conversation with V, not only in Burning Love and Chippin’ In, but in other ways too. For example, it’s Johnny’s idea to call V’s loved ones to say goodbye on the roof scene, because “he wished that he had had a chance to.” Because of V, he grows, changes, and becomes a better person, just as much if not more as he seems to change V. As he leaves V’s grave, he even states that he has changed; that he’s wiser now, and won’t make the same mistakes. He states he won’t dwell on what happened, but somehow I doubt that, considering everything above.

The other theme of Narcissus and Echo is of transformation; after all, metamorphosis actually means "to change or transform.” Echo becomes, well, and echo, and Narcissus becomes a flower. V and Johnny also transform; not only physically between engram and human, but they transform one another. Both of them fall in love, and neither will move on. Echo falls in love with Narcissus, and Narcissus falls in love with his reflection. Because they refuse to transform the way they feel, they must die and transform physically. So who represents who in this scenario? In a way, Johnny is both. Johnny is a bit, well, narcissistic. He’s self-absorbed in his flashbacks, and adored by countless fans, yet ignores them in favor of his own company. He thinks everything is about him (Alt’s death, Samurai, etc.)  and is willing to die for his beliefs. He is also constantly reflecting on himself through V. However, what really kills him is losing Alt; she tells him not to follow her (much like Narcissus tells Echo to leave him alone). He does anyway, and avenging her leads to his demise.

What’s especially sad about this is the way Johnny views transformation; he is very concerned with the idea of one’s individual identity, and hates the idea of turning into something you’re not. He despises that he’s going to turn V into himself by force. He hates dolls because he sees their behavior chip as something that changes them into something they’re not. He’s scared of V going to Blackwall not because it’s death, but because they “won’t be the same.” I don’t think Johnny ever wanted V’s body; again, not as a courtesy, but because it’s not him. After all, he could have just let nature take its course and let himself re-write their psyche, but instead he actively tries to save them as best he can. If V chooses to let him have their body, he hardly seems happy about it; especially compared to how happy he seems to see that part of him will live on in the way V refuses to give up should they choose to live on. By taking V’s body, he is no longer himself; rebel, rocker-boy, legend, and the guy who promised to save V’s life. Johnny in A New Dawn has lost his entire sense of self, his entire new and improved identity; one that learned from his mistakes and became a better person because of V. Johnny has The Tower tattooed on his arm, the card of (often painful) transformation and change. Yet this is what Johnny is most afraid of; not death, or even the not-so-bad sort-of hell that is Blackwall. He’s afraid of losing himself, and by losing V, he has lost a part of himself. The part of himself that was supposed to be a better person; who was supposed to save V’s life.

Request: hello I just wanted to request a Mando x Shortish reader. The reader loves that he is short and petite since he can fit into small places. Mando teases him a lot until he needed help on a bounty. He gets captured and the reader goes saves him. It’s a fluffy request.

“Stop it.”

Din grins under his beskar helmet as he stared down at the shorter male. The two have been partners for almost a year now and Din just coulnd’t get over that fact that his partner was short. He he was shorter than him and used this as an advantage to tease the other male.

“Need help getting that?” Din tilts his head up at the medical box that was located on a top shelf of the razor crest. Y/n was standing on his toes as his fingers grazed the edge of the box, grunting as he tried to get the damn box. “Shut it, bucket head.” He mumbles out and glared at the mandalorian who continued to stare at him with a hand on his hip. He was waiting for him to give up which annoyed Y/n, it wasn’t the first time that the mandalorian had teased him this way. Mocking his height.

Y/n tries to stand a little taller but his legs and arms were giving out. Groaning he finally gives up. “Just get me the damn box!!” He shouts in frustration. Din rolls his eyes and walks over to take down the medical box, “You do know that we have a stool right?” Y/n glared at Din and snatches the medical kit away from him. “Don’t even get me started.” He limps over to his cot and sits down, rolling up his pants as he cleans his cut and makes sure to bandage it up.

Din walks over to the child’s pod as he double checks on him. “He’s been sleeping all day.”

“Yeah no, duh. Kids got an ability that gets him tired if used to frequently.” Said Y/n as he finishes up with his leg and smiles at his work. He closes up the medical box and walks over to return it back to its rightful place.

Din lifts his head up and shifts his gaze to y/n, smiling at he watched. “Need help putting it back too?” Y/n grumbles and in anger he tosses the box up, slamming it against the wall. “I swear you will regret your teasing one of these days.” He points a finger at him in warning causing Din to raise his hands up in defense, not really taking the threat seriously.

Y/n walks over to the kids pod and sighs. “Do you know where were going?” He asks and closes the kids pod before turning to face din. The mandalorian shrugs, “I’m trying to find us a nice planet where you and the kid can stretch your legs while I look for a job there.”

Y/n frowns. “When will you let me help?”

“Never.”

The mandalorian turns away and climbs up the ladder that leads him to the cockpit. “What do you mean never?!” The shorter male climbs in after him and follows him through the cockpit. He sits next to the pilots seat and crossed his arms with a small pout on his face. “Becuase they are dangerous and you always seem to attract the most trouble.” He was flipping some switches and putting in some coordinates. “That’s not true.”

“Is so.” Din puts the razor crest on hyper speed, he turns his chair to face y/n. “Yes you are, last time I allowed you to help me you caused havoc and nearly lost our bounty. You also almost lost the kid—“

“In my defense; the kid ran away from me while I was trying to get him back in the pod.” He cuts him off and looks away, sighing deeply. He’s been taking care of the child while mando did all of the dirty work. He misses being out there and taking down bounty’s together but once the kid came into their lives; everything suddenly changed. Din grew soft towards the kid and began to take care to care of him, suddenly becoming the kids father.

The relationship between the two was complicated.

They were close and Din trusted him with his life, he was actually the first person that Din told his real name too. The two always stick together and if anything happened to the other they would lose their mind, they were just used to each other’s presences, Y/n really loved Din.

“Get some rest, shorty.”

Never mind he takes that back.

“Din I sweat, one more short joke and I’m throwing you off this ship.”

“You know I can’t take your threats seriously because, each time you do say something it doesn’t make you sound scary. It makes you sound adorable.”

Y/n blushes deeply and buries his face in his hands. “I’m going to rest.” He quickly says and leaves the cockpit, heading back down the ladder as he throws himself inside his cot and lands face first onto his pillow, he groans against his pillow in embarrassment. “I hate him, but I also love him.” He groans again and buries his face away in his covers and pillow.

“I’ll be back soon—“ Din was able to find them a suitable planet to land on and had found a job for himself. Y/n was standing outside the razor crest with the child in his arms who cooed at both Din and Y/n, his eats moving up and down. “Don’t cause any trouble and stay close to the razor crest, in case anything happens.”

“Din—“

“Don’t forget to keep the kid close—“

“Din.”

“Make sure that you and the kid eat something too.”

“Din!!”

“What?!”

Y/n sighs and sets the kid down, standing up straight he faces the mandalorian. “You’ve been telling me the same thing for months now, I know the drill so dont worry about me but about yourself. This bounty your after sounds dangerous so if anything happens to you the you send me a holo, got it?” He raised a brow at then, waiting for the other to confirm himself.

Din nods in reply. “Got it.” He softly says as Y/n stands on his toes and presses his head against the beskar helmet a some way kiss that the mandalorians did amongst each other. A moment that they liked to share with each other. “When I come back I expect you to be a little taller.”

Moment ruined.

Y/n glares at him and shoves him away. “Go before I decide to blast your ass.” He earns a chuckle in return which causes the shorter male to roll his eyes and groan. “How did I fall in love with a man like him?” He asks the child that stood by his legs, his ears fall back in confusion as he grips the end of his pants. “of course you wouldn’t understand.” He bends down to pick up the child and hold him in his arms. “Since we are alone, might as well and spend some time outside.” With that he pokes the child’s nose and earns a giggle in return.

The two remained outside for the rest of the day; playing in the grassy field as the child ran around while giggling happily. He was still learning how to use his abilites and had tried various times to try and pick up a stick with his abilites but he was still too young. Y/n sometimes watched in admiration on how such strange abilities could make such a small thing strong. “That’s enough little one or else you’ll get yourself hurt.” He takes the child small three fingered hand into his own as the child whines in protest but y/n shakes his head. “Not today, right now you need rest. You used up a lot of your energy.”

Heading back inside the razorcrest he makes sure that the kid falls asleep and is placed inside his pod, sighing tiredly he closes the pod and looks outside to see the suns setting already. “Where is he?” He knows that bounty hunting can take up to a day or two depending on how complicated the bounty is but mando was able to handle anything. But somehow it felt longer and Y/n was slowly getting an odd feeling.

Glancing at the closed up pod he bites his lip nervously. “Kriff.” He heads over to his cot and grabs his own blaster and double checks on the kid. “Please be here when I get back.” He tells himself before exiting the razor crest and closing up the ramp. He has no idea how he was going to find Din but deep down inside he felt like he already knew where he was.

Din had gotten himself captured, he was doing very well on getting the bounty but turns out that the bounty wasnt alone. It had help from a group of humanoids that sold spice and they thought that it would be a good idea to capture a mandalorian. Din thought he could space easily but their cells were on high security, he’s already tried a few times to escape but nothing seemed to work. He couldn’t give up, he had a kid and Y/n back at the razorcrest and for all he knows they could be in danger since the kid was still a bounty. Pacing around the cell he waits for someone to show up, already having a plan in mind.

“Well, well, well, am I seeing a captured mandalorian or is this all in my imagination?”

“Kriff.” Din looks around to Cell and raised a brow. “up here big guy.” He looks up to see y/n inside a vent, small enough for only him to fit through. “Where’s the kid?”

“Back at the razor crest—before you start yelling at me, I want you to know that he’s safe so dont worry.” He explains and adjusts his postion around the vent before turning back to face Din. Looking down at him, “I’m gonna need your help.”

Y/n’s lips twitch up into a grin. “Oh really? I thought you said that you did need my help.”

“Y/n, we dont have time for this!” Din hisses out.

“Oh there is plenty of time! I warned you Din Djarin that the next time that you teased me you would regret it.” Y/n glares down at him as Din lets his head hang back with a small groan before it drops down forward. “Alright, ill stop teasing you.”

“No more short jokes?”

“No more short jokes.”

“And you have to cuddle with me!”

“Y/n—“ Din was growing impatient, “Fine I’m going.” Y/n disappears through the vents and crawls around until he finds another opening. He climbs down and ends up on the other side of mandos cell. Dropping down he grunts and quickyl fixes his posture. “See? No harm done.” He tells hismelf before walking up to the cell and punching in the code number that allows the doors to open.

“Lets go before anyone else comes by.” Din was already booking it out but y/n stayed behind, taking his time. As din walks down the corridors with blaster in hand he glances over his shoulder to see y/n walking slowly behind him. “Can You be any slower?”

“Can you be an stupider?” Y/n shot back and grabs din by the wrist and drags him out into the open where a pile of bodies lied around. Din stared in shock before asking. “Did you do this?”

Y/n gasps sarcastically. “Who me? No, darling I think you’re confused because the last time I remembered you saying that ‘I couldn’t take care of myself’.” He stands next to Din with his hands behind his back and giving him an innocent look. Din rolls his eyes and puts his blaster away. “So, cuddling?” Y/n brings up the question again. “Only for a couple of hours.” Din answers back and makes his way through the bodies. Y/n smirks in victory as he follows after him, skipping through the corridors as he hums. “You look like a serial killer while skipping down a hall full of dead bodies.” Said Din.

Y/n laughs, “Yeah, you’re right I should probably stop.”

The two walked out of the underground building and made sure that they weren’t seen escaping. The walk back to the razorcrest was short since the two were desperate to get back and making sure that the kid was safe. “Baby?” Y/n whispers, once the ramp was lowered down for them. On the other end stood a grumpy baby, his ears pinned back as he glared at the two adults. Y/n bites his lip and laughs nervously, “next time we take him with us?”

“I’m not taking the kid to our next bounty hunt.” Din walks over to the kid and bends down, picking him up and holding him in his arms. “Come on, lets get going and search some place else for another bounty.”

Y/n nods in agreements and heads inside, making sure to close the ramp before they leave for their next destination.

The Kidnapping of the Drummer

Title: The Kidnapping of the Drummer

Summary: Duff comes to Nikki for some help.

Warnings: Language, crack-ness

AN: Pairings are Tommy x Nikki and Duff x Steven.

It had been a few months since Vince had lost Tommy in a poker game, and Nikki never let him live it down. Every time Vince would argue with the bassist, Nikki would shoot back that with at least he didn't lose the drummer in a game, and it instantly shut the frontman up, instead making him huff and march off.

After that, Axl arranged to kidnap Tommy again just for the principal of the matter. It almost worked the first time, except Nikki came out to the pool of the hotel where Duff had been tasked to kidnap the drummer from.

One look at Nikki made Duff hold up his hands, say fuck it, and leave.

"What do you mean you just left him?" Axl growled when he found out.

"Bassist code man," Duff countered. "I ain't pissing off another bassist. Never know when I'll need some strings."

"Good idea babe," Steven smiled at the other blonde, and Axl rolled his eyes. 

"Shut up Steven." Axl snapped. Duff looked at the drummer and saw his shoulders slump. "Vince fucking needs to pay. We're going to get Tommy fucking Lee or so help me."

That led to the next few months of Axl trying to plan how to kidnap Tommy. And each time failed as miserably as the time before. Someone always foiled it,  and Axl stopped asking Duff to fetch. Duff noticed he never involved Steven in his plans though.

"You okay?" Duff asked, wrapping his arms around him and resting his head on his shoulder.

"Yeah I'm great," Steven replied. And he was smiling, but Duff could hear a hint of sadness in his voice. Steven had been struggling here recently, smiling less, wanting to sleep more, and not even really feeling like playing the drums. 

"You sure?" Duff asked, not really believing him. He knew Steven thought he was putting on a good face, but sometimes it would disappear, especially when Axl would yell at him, insult him, and Duff was about two seconds away from punching a certain redhead in his dick.

"Of course," Steven smiled and kissed his cheek before heading to the shower. Duff frowned. Steven had been struggling on and off with his mental health. Some days it was okay and he was smiley and happy, some days it was all he could do to get out of bed.

And it was later that Duff was starting to see why. Axl was pissy, because none of his plans had worked, so every little thing seemed to be setting him off.

"Fucking hell Steven!" Axl screamed. "Can't you do anything right?"

"But…" Steven started, but Axl stopped him.

"I don't want to hear any if your fucking excuses. You're literally this close to being out of this fucking band!"

"Axl, calm down," Slash tried to intervene, but Axl was already riled up.

"He cant even get a beat right! He's a fucking drummer! We get Lee, we're keeping him and sending Steven to them!" Duff looked over at Steven, who was looking down at his drums.

"Okay, that's enough. Back the fuck off," Duff growled. Axl rolled his eyes and went to talk to Slash and Izzy about some guitar riffs. Duff headed over to Steven. "Babe…"

"I gotta go," Steven quickly left the rehearsal area. Duff stood there, watching him leave.

"Where the fuck is he going?" Axl asked. Duff turned to glare at the singer. "Fine. Whatever. I have better things to do anyway." He grabbed Slash and they left. Duff wanted to go after Steven, but first, he had a stop to make.

"Hello?" Vince answered. Duff looked at the phone for a second.

"Vince? I thought I called Tommy and Nikki…"

"Yeah, I'm crashing here for a bit. Trouble in paradise and all that shit."

"Oh. Uh sorry man," Duff paused for a minute. "Well, can I talk to Nikki?"

"Him and Tommy went to Tower or something. I don't know." Vince sighed.

"Okay thanks." Duff hung up without even saying bye. He grabbed the keys to his car and headed out towards the strip. He figured that if the terror twins were shopping anywhere, it would be at the Tower on sunset. That's where everyone seemed to be going. 

And sure enough, as Duff made his way into the store, he saw two heads of dark hair towering over the bins of records.

"Yo, Sixx man," Duff made his way over to the two.

"Are you really trying to kidnap him now?" Nikki asked with a sigh. "He's so happy looking for vinyl."

"No. I come in peace," Duff explained. "In fact, I actually need a favor." Tommy looked up from the bin he was looking at and shared a glance with Nikki. "Can we talk? Please?"

"Okay, what's going on?" Nikki asked. The three of them went to the Rainbow for beers and burgers. Duff took a drink to calm himself before he started to call Axl every name in the book.

"I want you to kidnap Steven," Duff explained.

"What?" Tommy laughed.

"You guys are the kidnapping group. Not us," Nikki added.

"Axl keeps screaming at Steven all the time. And I'm afraid if he keeps it up…" Duff trailed off. Tommy and Nikki knew all about Steven's mental health issues. Tommy had went to pull a prank on the other drummer once. Walking into Steven and Duff's room, Tommy immediately changed his mind when he saw the normally happy blonde curled up in the middle of the bed, tears streaming down his face.

"So, you just want us to kidnap him and that's it?" Nikki asked.

"I'm coming with," Duff told him. "Steven and I need a couple nights together without Axl dictating when we can and cannot just be together. And maybe we could do a cool supergroup thing or something."

"I'm game, but we should probably talk to Vinnie and Micm," Tommy looked at Nikki.

"Vince is staying at our place. I'll call Mick and we'll all discuss it. Wanna come with?" Nikki asked.

"I really need to go check on Steven," Duff told them. "Call me when you guys come to a decision."

"We will," Tommy assured him.

"And trust me, I can be pretty persuasive." Nikki smirked at Duff. "I'm sure Vinnie will see it my way."

"You want to what?" Vince asked. Mick had a smirk on his face as Nikki and Tommy explained the plan.

"You had me at screwing with Axl," Mick nodded.

"So we're going to kidnap Steven, Duff's coming with him, and they would be willing to put out a song or two with us?" Vince asked. Nikki nodded. "Okay. Let's do it."

"I'm game," Mick nodded.

"You know I'm fucking stoked for this," Tommy laughed. Nikki smiled then went to call Duff to discuss the plan.

"I'll be late for practice," Duff told Steven with a kiss. "I have a few things I need to pick up. Just tell Axl to go fuck himself if he says anything."

"Oh, ok," Steven gave Duff a kiss back. "I'll see you in a bit?"

"Of course," he smiled as Steven got his keys and headed to practice. Once Steven was gone, Duff started to pack a couple of overnight bags for the two of them. He smiled to himself as he got everything ready.

He headed out of the house to where Nikki and Tommy were waiting in Nikki's car.

"Your chariot awaits fucker!" Tommy laughed. Duff flipped him off but had a smile on his face as he got in the backseat.

"Okay so Vince and Mick are waiting for us by the studio," Nikki explained. "Tommy and I are going in with them. You said Izzy knows, right?"

"Yeah. And if he told Slash, he won't say anything. They might be screwing but Slash wouldn't mind watching us piss Axl off."

"Then let's get this show on the mother fucking road!" Tommy laughed.

They pulled up in front of the studio. Vince and Mick were in Vince's car, arguing about something. Duff looked over at them then back at Nikki and Tommy.

"Vince probably turned Kiss on," Nikki explained. "It's a long story."

"What does he have against Kiss?" Duff asked.

"Its Mick. He hates things people like," Tommy laughed.

"Okay let's go get Steven," Nikki smiled at Tommy before giving him a kiss. The two got out of the car and motioned for the other two. "What were you two arguing about now?"

"Fucking Barbie played fucking Kiss," Mick grumbled. Nikki shook his head as they headed into the studio.

"Steven, where the fuck is Duff?" They heard Axl ask.

"He had to get something. I dont know…" the four looked at each other. The sadness was evident in his voice.

"Ok, let's go," Nikki commanded. He pushed open the doors to the room, causing Axl, Steven, Izzy, and Slash to look up. Izzy and Slash both started to smile. Axl started to laugh.

"You're  bringing him to me? That's awesome," he smiled.

"Eh, not quite." Nikki nodded. He watched as Slash and Izzy casually stepped in front of Axl, helping Tommy and Vince block him. Mick stood at the door. Nikki went to Steven. "Don't squirm." He grabbed the drummer and tossed him over his shoulder.

"Hey!" Axl called out.

"Nikki, what the fuck?" Steven asked.

"Just go with it dude," Nikki laughed. "Bye Izzy. Bye Slash."

"Bye fucker," Vince smirked at Axl before heading out with Tommy, Nikki, Mick, and Steven.

"Put me down," Steven tried wiggling.

"Chill out dude," Tommy laughed. He opened the back door of Nikki's car and Nikki deposited the drummer in the back.

"Hey babe," Duff laughed. Steven looked over at the bassist.

"What's going on?" Steven asked. "Why'd motley crue just kidnap me?"

"I asked them to," he waved at Mick and Vince as they walked away.

"Why?" Steven looked at Duff as Tommy and Nikki got back in the car.

"I'm sick and fucking tired of how Axl is treating you," Duff explained, cupping Steven's cheek. "I can't lose you. So if that means hanging out with the terror twins for a few days, so be it." He saw the tears in Steven's eyes  but the smile on his face. "I love you."

"I love you too." Duff leaned in and kissed Steven. Tommy and Nikki smiled at each other before Nikki drove them back to their house.

Axl was pacing in front of Izzy and Slash. The two guitarists were getting a little sea sick watching him.

"Why Steven?" Axl asked.

"What?" Izzy raised an eyebrow.

"He has nothing to do with this. Why take him? Like if anyone, they should've taken Slash...no offense."

"Uh huh. Sure," Slash grumbled.

"And where the fuck is Duff?" Axl asked.

"Maybe they grabbed him too?" Izzy suggested. "You know, go big or go home?"

"It makes no fucking sense!" Axl sighed.

"They'll escape on their own at some point," Slash shrugged. Him and Izzy looked at each other and smiled.

"Wait, do you two know something?" Axl asked.

"Nope," Izzy and Slash shook their heads.

"I don't believe you…" Axl shook his head. "But I'm too tired to figure it out."

"Why are we doing this again?" Steven asked as he stood with his head over the sink as Tommy rinsed his hair.

"Because it'll be funny," Tommy told him. "And this will come out the next time you shampoo."

"I gotta say, I'm pretty hot with black hair," Duff admired himself in a mirror.

"Is it going to make me permanently like this?" Steven dried his hair with the towel Nikki handed him.

"Nah. Might darken slightly for a bit, but that's it." Nikki told him. "But we're not guns, so we can only have one blonde bitch in our band."

"Someone will be very upset if we take his barbie title away from him," Tommy chimed in. Steven and Duff started laughing. Tommy and Nikki shared a look, happy to see Steven actually smiling and laughing.

"So I have a song that will sound really cool with dueling drums and bass," Nikki explained. "And I have a camera and want to take a new band picture."

"I can't believe we're members of motley crue," Duff laughed, wrapping an arm around Steven's waist. "Axl is going to die when he hears about that."

"Well, since we got the hair done, I think we can do our song tomorrow to piss Axl off," Nikki smiled at them. 

"Come on," Duff grabbed Steven's hand. "Because you're pretty fucking hot with dark hair." Steven laughed and followed Duff towards the guest room they would be staying in.

"Those two," Tommy shook his head. Nikki came up behind him and wrapped his arms around him.

"You know, you're hotter, right?" He kissed on Tommy's neck.

“Oh, you think so?” Tommy asked with a soft moan. Nikki nodded against him and smirked.

“Let’s go to our room,” Nikki told him. “We have some things we need to do.”

It was about three days later when Steven was washing the black out of his hair that Axl came knocking. Vince and Mick looked up from the game they were watching. Nikki patted Tommy’s leg, having the drummer stand up from where he was sitting on Nikki’s lap. Duff and Steven were still back in the guest room and bathroom. Nikki answered the door, seeing the redhead standing there with Slash and Izzy behind him.

“I give,” He sighed.

“Excuse me?” Nikki asked, trying to hide the smirk on his face.

“I give up. Let them go,” Axl sighed.

“We’re not keeping them here,” Nikki told him. “They want to be here.”

“Can I talk to them?” Axl asked. Nikki looked over at Tommy and nodded. The drummer went to get the two others. Soon, Tommy was coming back with Duff and Steven.

“Axl,” Duff crossed his arms over his chest. “What are you doing here?”

“Rescue,” Axl nodded. “Brought help.”

“We don’t want rescued,” Duff snapped. “In fact, I think we’re going to stay being apart of the Crue.”

“What? Why?” Axl asked.

“Well, for starters, you’ve been such a dick to Steven,” Duff pointed out.

“Isn’t he a dick all the time?” Vince piped up from the living room.

“Not helping!” Nikki called to the frontman.

“I’m sorry,” Axl sighed.

“I don’t believe you,” Duff shook his head. “I put his mental health and happiness over the band. You screw with him, you lose a bassist and probably a drummer, because I’m not letting him stay alone in the band with you.”

“I’m sorry I was such a dick to you Steven,” Axl looked at the drummer. “Will you guys please come back?” Steven looked over at Duff with a smile on his face.

“I never thought in a million years I’d live long enough to hear Axl Rose apologize,” Steven teased. “Yeah, we’ll come back.” Duff smiled and kissed Steven’s cheek.

“Hey Rose,” Vince walked up to Axl and slapped a picture against his chest. “Be on the lookout for our new single.” Axl pulled the photo back from his chest and his mouth hung open. Tommy and Steven were enveloped in a massive drumset, Steven with hair as dark as Tommy’s. And then, the two bassists, both with matching, feathered black hair, looked like they were annoying the ever loving shit out of Mick and Vince.

“What the fuck?” Axl asked.

“Yeah, that’s Motley Crue,” Nikki shrugged. “Got any guitarists that would want to join, we welcome them with open arms.” He looked over at Slash and Izzy. “In fact, I don’t even think we’d have to dye their hair.”

“No. No way. Let’s go,” Axl motioned for the band. Slash, Izzy, and Steven started to follow. Duff hung back and looked over at Nikki.

“Thanks again man,” Duff told him. “It’s great to see Steven happy.”

“Anytime,” Nikki smiled. Vince nodded.

“All you gotta do is say you want to screw with Axl, and we’re game,” He laughed. Duff smiled and followed the rest of his band out the door.

 i know i been gone a while, i just cant seem to get caught up on clients to make regular videos. [coughs] but i did have quite a few people asking me recently, some of my students, about the subject of whats now called ‘live things’ in a person. [takes a drag on a cigarette] now, most people are gonna say ‘its impossible’ that all of us southerners being ignorant folks that we are have mistaken snakes in a person for intestinal worms. [takes another drag on the cigarette] and, thats just not true. anyone that was raised southern, in the south, knows the difference between, like an intestinal worm, and a snake. we got em. yknow, drinkin from water hoses, and yknow, jus different thangs, uh, was the belief on how we got them. now im not a scientist, so, i know you can get intestinal worms from unproperly cooked meat and whatnot, but, we got em. we knew what they were, and we generally stopped getting em when we started chewin tobaccer; so it was more of an ailment that children had. [takes another drag on the cigarette] because, when we got teenagers we all thought wed chew tobaccer like the adults and it would make us cool, yknow. but, the fact of the matter is, we had all seen intestinal worms; and we all knew the difference between a snake and a roundworm. now, when we take that into consideration, the next thing is ‘well it was all slight of hand’ yeah. there was slight of hand. where an individual would vomit into a bucket and when they werent looking someone would throw a snake or somethin in there, but, there are other instances where that would be impossible. [another drag on the cigarette] we have seen individuals open their mouths, and vomit out a snake. not a dead one, a live one. its not uncommon, we just dont talk about it. [coughs] because people dont believe us, and they assume we’re ignorant. now, one of the other arguments is ‘a snake’ cus were just using a snake as an example ‘cannot possibly live inside a human body’ [another drag on the cigarette] that may be true. i am not a scientist but i assume its true. but, the thing is, theres a lot of ‘impossibles’ that we deal with in hoodoo. it is ‘impossible’ for a little bag of dirt and herbs hidden under somebodys porch without there knowing, to cause them bad luck or death or sickness, thats impossible; yet it happens. hoodoo is all about the ‘impossible’. its a science of miracles. now, another thang, and this is one of those thangs that we dont talk about. [another drag of the cigarette] but, i thought id share this, because a lot of people arent gonna understand it. your big problem with trying to wrap your mind around this idea, that someone can put a snake in a person, is assuming that this is a normal garden variety snake. it is not. these snakes are not natural snakes. so keep that in mind. i wont go into big detail on this, but realise that a snake that has been put into someones body is not a natural snake. [another drag on the cigarette] and, yknow, theres frogs and salamanders, and all sort of different animals; spiders, uh, flies, even! um, ill admit to a little slight of hand i did once [another drag of the cigarette] regarding a fly. now flies, for those of you that know, that have ever worked in a grocery store, cus in my younger years i did work at walmart. they often, like, land of refrigerator cases and they become kind of paralyzed from hypothermia. so what i.. if you take em off and hold em in your hand they’ll warm up and fly away. so what i did was, i made sure my mouth was really dry. i basically stuffed a bunch of napkins in my mouth, and dried my mouth out. and i got, i think it was two or three of these flies, and i put them in my mouth. it sounds really gross, but you have to understand what i was trying to do. basically, i was trying to really freak some people out. i held these flies in my mouth until i could really feel em movin around n buzzin. Announcement: Freebie Streams, Updates, Etc

I know it has been a VERY long time since I've been really active. Holidays absolutely decimated me, my new job has been taking its toll on my energy, and even my little hiatus I took didn't quite feel like the break I was hoping for @_@ it has been a wild trip for 2021 to say the absolute least.

Yes, Monthly Freebie Streams are back! I will be back into doing monthly sketch streams every month, one for Patrons and one for Non-Patrons! The Patron Freebie stream will be this Saturday, Feb 13th! The Non-Patrons freebie stream will be the following Saturday, the 19th! Commissions are still Temporarily Closed! It went on for about 10 minutes then the old lady next to me reaches up and presses her button. The stewardess just walked away. Another person on the social media platform had a blood-boiler to tell. Halfway through, the pilot said, Flight attendants, be seated immediately which indicates a lot of upcoming turbulence. So I quickly started to trot through with my trash bag to my jump seat when a man yelled HEY! I was a few rows past him and he had his cup and wet napkin in his hand. I quickly said, I have to sit down and turned back towards the back galley. I then felt something hit me. I looked back and he had thrown his trash at me and was staring at me like the little (expletive) he was. I heard a few people gasp and everyone in the last eight rows or so was tuned in to the drama.

Jimin tapped his foot against the concrete driveway as he waited in the middle of a dog pile of lug gage. He checked his watch, eyeing the second hand tick further and further hoping that time magically went back two hours. Two hours that this stupid thing had been group texted about and they were all now going to be stuck with one another thanks to his lovely best friend Kim Taehyung.

Of course they were late.

He groaned as the other four boys carried on behind him playing some game Namjoon learned at a frat party last night. If Jimin spent another ten minutes out here, he might try to teleport to wherever they are with that shitty car and beat their asses to a pulp. He isn't going back home when he already said his goodbyes, and Jimin did not want to go through that tear fest again with his neighbor's dog.

Thankfully, the rusted green bus running on black fumes pulled up just as he began to imagine his slow death from heatstroke.

Hoseok didn't bother to turn the van off as he stepped out to open the doors to throw their luggage into the back. "What took you so long, we have been here since the dawn of creation waiting on your asses." Namjoon says, a small glint of annoyance seeded in his words as he started to grab things and load them into the back of Hoseok's van.

"Remember, god created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, kids." Jeongguk smiled and started finding his own bags to carefully place in the back on top of the disheveled pile Namjoon created.

"We won't tell him about your summer fling last year then, Guk." Seokjin hit Hoseok's shoulder pointing at Taehyung, still in the car. Completely quiet. "What the hell is going on with Taehyung?"

"Tae stayed over last night talking about, uh, Tangerine last night—" Yoongi auirked an eyebrow up at the code name as everyone around him averted their eyes from his view as Hoseok continued, clearing his throat. "And as his thank you for listening to his pining and whining plus cuddles, he helped me wash the Pimp Mobile. We gotta make it shine, make it easy on the eyes." Taehyung sticks his head out the window at the mention of his name (and the fruitful name that he chose to ignore as a rosy blush crept up on the apples of his cheeks as he laid eyes on said Tangerine.)

"There is no way in hell I am calling your shitty Volkswagen Nineteen-Seventy a pimp mobile, Jung." the tangerine spat grabby his bags, slapping Hoseok's shoulder playfully with a smirk with his free hand as he passed by.

"Yoongi, my man, don't hate," Hoseok pats the fender affectionally. "I just call her what she wants."

"Vans don't talk, dumbass," Seokjin scoffs. He quickly pulled Taehyung out of the passenger's seat and sat down down in his place, only realizing it when his ass hit the pavement. "Alright then, hop in, Your Highness," He scratched the back of his head, brushing off his pants and Jeongguk outstretched his hand to pull him back up.

"Don't worry about it, Tae, his brittle bones just can't take the climb to the back."

"Jeon Jeongguk, these brittle bones will step out of this car and castrate you."

"Oh full name, Guk, you better run." Namjoon chuckles, leading the pile of boys climbing into the empty rows.

Jimin flicked Jeongguk's forehead, "Let's go, I am not letting you start shit before we have even left the driveway." Yoongi sets his small backpack in the floor a Seokjin's feet, slamming the door behind him. "Don't let your nasty fucking feet touch my bag," He yells, walking around, his reflection in the headlights as witness, watching him get to the driver's side. "Anyone wanna take a last look or a quick piss because I am not stopping until it is Jimin's turn to drive."

"Please, more of that place is the last thing I need," says Jeongguk, but he still glances back as the pulled away.

"Angsty-graduate Teenage Jeongguk, I dig it." Hoseok mumbles, eyes already closing from leftover exhaustion from last night's escapade with Taehyung.

How would he know their light saber fight would turn into a 'Everything Wrong With My Life' support group cuddle session? How would he know that Taehyung would want to go get ice cream at two thirty in the morning to lick away his feelings and watch them drip down the cone?

Jeongguk looked at the road as they drive out of his neighborhood. He watched as they passed their old high school, the older roller rink where he met Jimin and Taehyung as a freshman. He still has the shirt that had Taehyung's slurpee stain intertwined into the light fabric, stitching the bond of a soon to be best friend. "Wow..." he said, "we're really leaving aren't we?" Jeongguk turned to Jimin.

"Hey, we will be back if one of us doesn't die. You just graduated, it is okay to enjoy the false feeling of freedom and fake yourself out and live a little."

Taehyung rolled his eyes, "Yes, I will positively, without a doubt, enjoy having to suffer with everyone's mood swings and audacious personalities for three months."

"Taehyung, it was your idea, shut the fuck up," Seokjin exclaimed with a falter tone. "You can have the seat when we pull over, stop being a little bitch."

Yoongi purses his lips together, "Let's just get this trip over with, shall we?" He looked back in the rear view mirror to glance at a certain red head, with a masked scowl. (Trying his hardest not to smile.) They weren't together, they weren't apart; it was complicated... if you count friends with benefits complicated. It really shouldn't be. So many people need a healthy fuck from his friend once in a while and go in, think nothing of it. Said friend was Taehyung, also known as Strawberry. (Taehyung wasn't the only one to pick up a not so oblivious code name to vent about him) He would moan all night thanks to Taehyung's mouth and the next morning, he couldn't help but melt at the boxy smile he finds laying across from him. He melts at everything he does, his jokes, his laugh. His decision to hop scotch at one in the morning and decide to skip classes when they woke up on the lawn, limbs tangled together as the sun peeks behind the clouds, brightening the backs of his eyelids.

And that is exactly how he got stuck driving, that stupid melting sensation. He couldn't say no when Taehyung whined in his ear as he pled on the phone to meet up with everyone else at Jeongguk's place. He even told him to save the front seat for him so he could ride beside of him. Yoongi seemed to see Taehyung already there and chose not to worry about defending shotgun— and then Seokjin happened. And now, he is trying not to chuckle at a pouting, heartbroken Taehyung enveloped in Hoseok's arms.

But don't get it confused, he isn't in love with Kim Taehyung and he most definitely can't see himself settling down with said boy. Kim Taehyung was the perfect blend of sweet and wild, the exact opposite of Yoongi, mellow and somber. Taehyung wanted movie dates and sharing popcorn instead of blowjobs in the back row ignoring the movie. He knew he enjoyed it, but he also knew that is not all he wanted. And therefore, Yoongi deemed himself and his actions unworthy for Taehyung.

"Eyes on the road, Lover Boy, I don't feel like dying today." Seokjin smiled, pulling out his earphones from his pocket. Yoongi reached over the slap the surface of his blue hoodie, "My ass, you know it isn't like that," Seokjin hummed, "Whatever you say, Min," and with that, he presses play.

Jimin held Taehyung's hand and Hoseok ran his fingers through the newly dyed roots, Jimin was humming one of the songs he was learning in dance, Taehyung shutting his eyes to the fretful melody.

Namjoon and Jeongguk switch back and forth between new books they have read and arguing over dividing equal space. Though, he could see Namjoon spreading out his legs a little or Jeongguk adjusting his head against the seat towards Namjoon's shoulder, but pretended not to notice.

They were so far apart, different hometowns, years between the fickle breaths they take, melding together in the air around them, so close. They found eachother, one by one, and eventually, they found the perfect balance between home and comfort.

Truth be told, Taehyung wanted to go on this trip to distract them from the things tearing them apart. Seokjin moved out, relocating two blocks away from him recently.

Taehyung, I am two blocks away, you can still visit whenever you want.

It isn't the same, Seokjin, and you know it.

Namjoon was leaving in six months to blend into the other side of the world, acceptance letter, drenched in tears as he handed it to everyone else on movie night.

Jimin and Taehyung were roommates, best friends, nothing could break them they knew, except a dance scholarship that took him away from his own room to a cold room full of mirrors.

Jeongguk just graduated, he wanted to travel the world, figure out who he was. They all knew he would go back home, souvenirs packed to the brim in his suitcases. They're just trying to fool themselves for a little while longer, keeping him close for as long as they can.

Hoseok basically raised Taehyung, though there was only a years difference between the two. He held his hand in the hallways in school when he felt alone, whispered how smart he was when he was curled up in his bed, finals nearing. He sat with Taehyung, Jimin and a quiet Jeongguk (sometimes, he wishes he was still that quiet around the older men) at lunch by the fucking trash cans, eventually brought over Namjoon and Yoongi when they grew curious about the boys. After school, they would all meet up at the cafe Seokjin worked at, easily growing an attachment to the diverse personalities that blended together.

And Yoongi, his studio was only halfway across town, he knew that. About the work piled on his desk only left time for their booty calls, to fall asleep in one another's arms, Taehyung waking up to an empty bed. He wasn't going anywhere, and Taehyung was glad for that, but the emotions that attach to his name makes him wish he would. Taehyung thought about breaking it off, he even tried twice, but the words garbled in his throats like saltwater and he couldn't escapee the trance Yoongi's eyes put him in. Smirking, he would push Taehyung into the sheets and he would forget what he meant to do in the first place. But he couldn't imagine a life without him.

Maybe, someday you won't, Taehyung.

They were all together, but apart.

And Taehyung was repulsed by it.

"Promise me something," Taehyung spoke up, Jeongguk hitting the back of Seokjin's head as he pulled out his headphones to listen.

"What is it, now, Taehyung?" Seokjin mumbled from the front, eyebrows creasing at the blank expression that washed over the younger's face.

"Promise me that even when we're apart, even when we haven't talked to eachother in months, we will still be together. We'll always be family."

Jimin quickly wrapped his arms around Taehyung's waist and smiled, "Of course, TaeTae. Always."

Namjoon nodded, Jeongguk gave him a fist bump mumbling what was close to an 'I Love You' that made Taehyung grin. Hoseok pulled his hair gently and released it, pouting. "Of course, idiot, get some rest, you had a long night."

Taehyung nodded, messing with the string that hung and the bottom of his shirt as Yoongi cleared his throat.

"Kim Taehyung, I'm not going anywhere. Especially without you."

The van grew into a peaceful silence, Yoongi exiting out of their town.

They were free.

hello, im not really sure how to put this so ill just go ahead: i come from a racist country, its also homophobic, transphobic, all kinds of awful things, not too long ago a far right party who won the election even wanted to completely ban abortion, about 2 months ago one of the teachers at my school spend an entire lesson talking about how abortion is making woman miserable, she talked about a woman that had about 40 abortions and was simply a wreck after that, she used all kind of words 1/10
