WDYM Anakin is Luke and Leia's dad
I dunno if this post will reach the Star Wars fandom but I hope it does because I'm sure you all will get a good laugh at me.
As of recent I have developed a good hiperfixation for Star Wars, the thing is I knew nothing. NOTHING about Star Wars besides the fact it had aliens and...a war...in space? And funny swords. And main character is Luke or something, I spent over 20 years ignoring anything about Star Wars and somehow missing most references out there.
And recently, literally less than a month ago I saw a gif and said to my partner "oh this guy this guy looks cool, this gif looks nice" and he said "Oh well, he's a good character." And it all developed into me watching Clone Wars, the animated series you know and...and I was kinda blown away, on my opinion the show IS GREAT. And I love every character and their interactions, I love how much they focus on side characters, and they all seem very well written. I got hiperfixated really fast and saw Anakin and I was like "Omg, babygirl. He's a blorbo now."
And because of the show, this was super unexpected, but somehow I also got, really got, into the ship with Padmé because omg, cool woman. Literal happy squeaky noises of someone who was in a bad state and needed some good ol' distraction and comfort.
Now, like I said I knew nothing about Star Wars as a whole. And I still haven't watched the movies, besides the ocassional gif?
So imagine my shock, my surprise, my...bewilderment when I realized.
"Wait a minute, LUKE IS ANAKIN'S SON?! HOLY-"
Ladies, gentleman, and others, I think I came very late to this party and I don't even know how it took me so long.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only that, but because of this sudden love for the series, I went to my friends circle like "BESTIE, GUESS WHAT, I HAVE A NEW BLROBO AND A NEW FAV SHIP AND EEEP"
And my friends are like "omg that's amazing, what is it?"
I tell them, and of course they all know these characters and they all react like they know this very bad secret fact and I got told several times already "Please, don't watch the episodes 2 and 3 alone, it will hurt."
I feel like blissfully walking among rainbows and blue skies while everyone else know that my future is doomed. Somehow.
Tumblr media
(Uncomfortable silence)
Not only that, but then I spent a whole deal of time thinking "Where the heck I have seen these guys" cus there was some fmailiarity I couldn't just point out and then one day I woke up, brushed my teeth and of all sudden I realized and it was such a shock.
Tumblr media
Do you know how SURREAL is to get very into a character, and into a ship, and then realize they're the same from that super widespread meme that has been around for who knows how much time?
I swear I thought that meme was from some old medieval fantasy movies or something.
But alas, Star Wars now is EVERYWHERE. People do references to Star Wars ALL THE TIME and it's just now I'm catching them.
I got spoilers. From a meme. In a youtube review that had nothing to do with Star Wars hah. Everything is a spoiler, the world is an apparent spoiler. Now I'm here, trying to avoid spoilers from something everyone seems to know, even my family knows. It's so surreal and I wouldn't have it any other way 😂
Anyways, if you read until here, know that a wild ride still waits me, cuz I'm only starting Season 3 of Clone Wars and I don't plan to watch the movies until I finish the series.
And yes, I made this blog just to ramble freely about SW and draw stuff because it sparked my inspiration after a long art block.
Have this doodle I drew after watching the two first episodes, my offering for you reaching this far.
Tumblr media
Note: Wouldn't Anakin and Padmé's ship name be Animé? Cuz that's hilarious.

“I Met Spiderman”
Word count: 1.4k
spiderman x reader
Summary: Spiderman saves his girlfriend who doesn’t know he’s Spiderman.
Warnings: narrator @ttacked by strangers
—————————————
I was walking home from the night shift. The air was colder then usual and I could see my breath as I walked to my apartment. As I walked I held my jacket close to me to keep all my body heat in.
That’s when some men smoking cigarettes look at me and give a whistle. I ignore them walking faster not making eye contact, so they get in my way. Slowly surrounding you so there is no way out.
“Hey little lady what are you doing out here so late and all alone?” One of them says as the slowly close in on me.
“I’m walking home to my boyfriend if you would be so kind as to let me pass,” you say still not making eye contact with them.
“Well you have to do something for us before that,” a second man says coming in reaching for me but I move away just far enough to miss his grasp and not run into another man.
“We can take payments in favor,” a third man says looking at me over and over again. I hold my jacket tighter wanting to cover myself up as much as possible.
“Please leave me alone-“ you say feeling stressed and scared. The first man to speak steps forward and grabs my jacket pulling it off of me. My purse and phone fall to the ground and the second man kicks it away.
“You haven’t given us our payment yet though,” the first man says looking at me. I can see his bad intentions just from his eyes.
The third man grabs a knife and holds it to my throat as the first man holds me against the wall.
“Get off me!” I yell trying to break out of his grasp. In response they push the knife to my throat even more and I can feel some blood drawn.
“Slow down man she’s already bleeding,” the second man says moving the knife away from me. As soon as it was clear I kicked the first man in the balls and pushed him off of me. The second man grabs my hair and pulls me to the ground. I land hard on my knees and the second man keeps a grip on my hair and pulls it so it faces him.
“That was a mistake,” he said and the third man fist make a direct hit to my face. The rings on his fingers cutting through my skin and I feel warm blood trailing down my face. The second man then kicks me in the stomach and drops my hair. I fall onto the ground now laying down fetal position as I feel more kicks being thrown at me. They occasionally pulling my hair and dragging my bruised and bloody body across the alley. I feel the world begin to fade out and close my eyes in exhaustion when the kicking and pain finally stops. I open my eyes and see a red and blue blur now webbing the criminals down and disarming them.
Once they were taken care of Spiderman turns to me and the eyes on his suit were as wide as they can be.
He rushed over to my side grabbing my face and inspecting it.
“What did they do?” He said and I could hear the anger even through my disorientation.
“I don’t feel good,” I say slowly closing my eyes but he shakes my shoulders.
“No you have to stay awake okay? You can’t fall asleep on me.” He says holding her closer I can tell he is inspecting my wounds.
I stay silent just trying to get my eyes to focus but there was three Spider-Man’s in front of me. I feel myself being lifted into the air and thought I was hallucinating but I soon realized Spider-Man was now running me to the nearest hospital which luckily was close by.
“Tell me what’s your favorite color?“ he says trying to keep me awake.
“Purple. There’s not that much purple in the world, so I like it when I see it.” I say trying my best to keep my eyes open.
“What’s your favorite movie?” He continues
“Star Wars: Attack of the Clones which is episode two. I always wanted love like Anakin and Padme as a kid.”
“Did you ever find that?” He asks and looks down at me.
“I think so. Hopefully it’s better then that though and he doesn’t end up being a mass murderer” I say and notice him slightly chuckling.
“What’s his name?” He asks next.
“How did we get from what’s your favorite color to who are you in love with?” I laugh at him. “But it’s Peter if you’re so curious.”
“That’s a good name.” Spider-Man says and I can tell he’s smiling under the mask even though I have a concussion.
“Why’s that Spider-Man?” I ask looking at him.
“Oh uhhhh I have a friend named that,” he says quickly.
“Okay…” I say not pushing further. “Wow you have friends. I never really thought about you’re life outside of- well this” I say gesturing to the costume.
“Sometimes me either,” he says and I can hear a sadness in his tone.
“Are you dating anyone?” I ask him now. “It’s only fair you share now that I’ve told you mine.”
“I guess that’s true,” he says nervously. “I am dating but don’t ask for their name I can’t give away my identity now,”
“What are they like?” I ask now curious for me.
“Well she’s smart, smarter then me. She also has this laugh that just fills the whole room. It’s like everything gets hundred times brighter when she walks in. She always thinks of others, the kindest person I’ve ever met-“ he says and I can tell he would have kept going but we arrived at the hospital. Nurses see Spider-Man caring a girl and immediately rush over to help with a gurney and other supplies.
“Thank you sir, I can’t repay you for this.” I say as I’m placed on the bed.
“You don’t need to just please get better fast,” he says to me then looks up at the nurses. “I need you to make sure that she gets extra care please.” He says almost like he is begging. I’m surprised at how concerned he is for me when I was just another strangers life who was saved, he must really take his job seriously.
The next morning
I wake up and see my boyfriend Peter Parker sitting in a chair by my bed. As soon as I wake up and turn over to look at him his head shoots up. I’m surprised he could tell I was awake from such little movement I made. He looks at me and smiles, walking over to me and placing his hand on mine.
“Hey I heard you got in attacked, how are you feeling?” He says looking at me with concern.
“I’m okay. I met Spider-Man actually. It was cool except for the part where I almost died. Did you know he’s in love? I was only half conscious but man the way he talked about her was how everyone woman wants to be talked about.” I say and I’m about to keep going but I realize I’m rambling and stop. I see he is blushing a slight bit and squeezes my hand a little.
“I’m just glad you’re safe.” I can tell he was about to start another sentence and stops.
“You know when I got attacked all I could think of was you. Even Spider-Man sounded like you, I must have really gotten hit in the head.” I say laughing and I can see him laugh too.
“I’m sorry this happened to you. I just wish I could have done something to stop this. You didn’t deserve this you’re to good-“ He says and I stop him by placing my hands on both sides of his face.
“Peter I’m fine,” I say looking at him and giving a reassuring smile. “It’s all going to be okay.”
He looks into my eyes for a minute of silence. I can tell he’s thinking of something in deep thought before he finally says something again.
“I love you. I’ve been wanting to tell you since the day I met you but-“ I stop his rambling by kissing him. My hands moving from my face to his hair as I pull him closer to me. His hands find their away around my waist as he pulls me in as well.
“I love you too. I always have.” I say as we pull back to catch out breath. I smile at him and place my forehead against his. “I’ll always love you.”

The Clone Wars 4x5 'Mercy Mission' Reaction
Tumblr media
eeeeeeeeeeee Wolffe!
Omg he’s so grumpy and done with everything and long suffering already I love him so much
You can tell from the first word he says. That “We’ve” was basically sighed with so much disgruntlement.
Tumblr media
Ahahahaha he’s so pissed that he’s not there supporting Plo. Why has my General been left by himself? *humph* That is barely concealed displeasure that he’s been diverted from his duties. Wolffe said ‘Orders’ in such a particular tone that made it pretty damn clear how pissed he is. He’s so grumpy. I love him.
How often do the clones interact with Senators? Or at least Padmé? I should imagine Rex and Cody would more than others (Rex is probably so done with Anakin pretending to be subtle) but this feels like the first time I’ve seen a clone directly report to a Senator.
I’m again struck by just how Aussie the clones sound. Or maybe Generic Antipodean/slightly British at best. That is not a Kiwi accent. Give the clones the Kiwi accent they deserve.
That shot of the ships in space flying over the curved edge of the planet with a sun in the background feels like a homage to something. 2001: A Space Odyssey? That’s usually what gets referenced. The music here is gorgeous.
This is probably going to be a very unpopular opinion but it kind of feels like the clones are being a bit dickish to the droids? Please don’t eat me alive
Omg the LAAT/i’s have nose cone art of Plo and his troopers. I think I’ve seen this in previous episode's but I still love seeing it again.
“Greeeeeeaaaaaaaat, it’s gonna be another one of those planets.” omg I love you random clone trooper pilot. They’re all so grumpy. The entire Wolf Pack is just so grumpy. Maybe that’s a prerequisite for being part of the Wolf Pack. Eternal grumpiness.
My god Wolffe, that is some jaw line
“Ah, did you get that?” ahahahaha the dryness of that line. Insert your cliches about being drier than Tatooine here.
Tumblr media
OMG THE EYE ROLL I AM SCREECHING
Tumblr media
That is some Star Trek bridge shaking level acting going on in the after shock
Ugh he’s so gruff and rough and just ugh do me commander
Tumblr media
“We’re good, but not that good.” ahahaha the sarcasm is off the charts
Oh hey Sinker is still around! Hey Sinker!
Do all of the Wolf Pack have the same paint? Usually it’s fairly easy to tell between the different clones but I can’t spot the differences as well with them. Maybe it’s the grey paint? I think Sinker has grey sections on the bottom of his helmet but the rest of his armour seems to be the same as the rest of the Wolf Pack. They all have the same patterned left pauldron.
Oh hey it’s Boost as well! Hey Boost! I hope he and Sinker and Wolffe and Plo are doing ok after the Malevolence. Ok doesn’t feel like the right word for what happened to them but I can’t think of the right one. Wookieepedia has just informed me that the Malevolence was inspired by the Bismarck, which makes sense.
Back to the paint of the Wolf Pack, Boost has grey spikes under the horizontal section of his visor but that’s the only difference I can spot. At least it’s better than his hair XD
Tumblr media
Lmao Boost could you be any more trigger happy
Omg after Boost kicks open the door, the shot pans up and Sinker is just standing there like a model, slightly bent knee and all.
Tumblr media
I love how much you can tell that Wolffe takes absolutely no shit just from the way he moves and carries himself.
Omg the sneer over his shoulder. If he glared at me like that my knees would absolutely buckle.
Tumblr media
“Do I need this?” CACKLING
“A firm hand.” I bet that’s not the only place where Wolffe has a firm hand omg help me the thots are taking over
“I have a bad feeling about this.” Star Wars cliche klaxon
Tumblr media
I’m only noticing this because I remember a post pointing this out but Wolffe really does waddle in his kama. The poor man definitely has back problems. He's so stiff.
I love the way that Aleena takes a moment to realise they’ve been left with Wolffe and suddenly has this ridiculously exaggerated horrified and terrified expression on their face before fleeing.
Tumblr media
It’s the Ents! Does that make R2-D2 and C-3PO Merry and Pippin?
Is Orphne supposed to be some kind of alien villainous femme fatale? Gestures matching words? What is this, a high school theatre production?
Fire. Soil. Water. What is this, a Captain Planet reference?
R2 did you just pee on Orphne’s floor?!
The vapours! *faints*
Tumblr media
OMG THE EYE ROLL AGAIN! SCREAMING EVERY TIME. Wolffe is So. Done. I love him.
The music is beautiful here too. The Kiner’s did such a good job.
Tumblr media
EYE ROLL VOLUME 3. I am WHEEZING
That’s Boost and Sinker standing next to Wolffe with two very understanding tilts of their buckets.
Tumblr media
Ah, so that’s where the gifs of Wolffe wincing comes from. Also, Sir, those are some seriously sharp cheekbones.
“I couldn’t agree more, Sir.” Sinker being the very supportive Sergeant there.
Tumblr media
Look at Wolffe standing there all sassy with his hand on his hip and blaster.
Tumblr media
Including this gif for the look down and up. There is something about Wolffe that is just uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh

Sparse thoughts from reading the AOTC screenplay.
So, one more thing I noticed popping up throughout the Attack of the Clones script drafted in 07/04/2000 (downloadable here). Again, note that this wasn't the final version of the script.
The theme of "Duty" in Episode II
We see it throughout the whole story. We obviously see it in the thematic "love or duty" conflict that's at the heart of Anakin and Padmé's romance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Padmé has her responsibilities as a Senator, Anakin has his commitments to the Jedi Order and his duty to the mission. For them to try to be together and still try to fulfill their respective duties... it's bound to fail.
As Lucas puts it:
"[The Clone War lineup scene] is contrasted with the idyllic situation on Naboo, where Anakin and Padmé are getting married… in what will be a doomed relationship… which they have already stated earlier on is not gonna work. But they do love each other. They're truly in love with each other. It's the issue of true love over duty. It's really the Romeo and Juliet aspect of it, of a doomed relationship, in more ways than one really. She married the wrong guy. This marriage will end up with the birth of their children, which go on into the next trilogy." - Attack of the Clones, Commentary Track 2, 2002
But then there's this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yoda promises the Jedi will do their duty. A duty dictated by the Senate.
The subtext in this whole scene is basically the Jedi telling Palpatine and the Senate that, if asked, they will fight because they're duty-bound to do so... but they shouldn't. They don't have the numbers, the intention or the experience to fight a war, so the Senate should seriously consider a diplomatic solution.
Like, "we will die for you if you ask us... but please don't just throw our lives away."
And in this earlier version of the script, Palpatine sends the Jedi to Geonosis before he even has the emergency powers, during Scene 114 on Page 81.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Jedi reluctantly acquiesce (again, it's their duty).
Mace is like "maybe let's wait, we don't know for sure that the Trade Federation is conspiring with the Separatists" but Palpatine and the others shut that shit down.
Takeaway #1:
You know who does argue in the Jedi's stead? Bail Organa. Like, this guy's an ally of the Jedi from day one.
Takeaway #2:
Even by Page 81 out of 113 total pages, Windu is still holding out hope that this is all some big misunderstanding. There's no way a former Jedi like Dooku, who was wise, powerful and overall exemplar, could've fallen so low, right?
Like, the Jedi don't just have a duty towards the Republic... they have one to serve the Force. You can quit the first, but not the second. And for him to conspire with the Trade Federation and prepare an inter-galactic civil war... that's just unthinkable.
Which leads me to this other thing:
Dooku's betrayal
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Scene 40, we read that in the history of the whole Jedi Order (1,000 generations!) that only TWENTY JEDI left the Order.
74 pages later, in Scene 155, we read that there's about twenty Jedi left in the Geonosis Arena... out of 200!
There were 10 times more Jedi who died on Geonosis on Dooku's orders, than there were Jedi who just straight-up left the Order in 25,000 years.
Dooku's betrayal hits the Jedi hard.
(The concept of Lost Twenty was later retconned so that it designated the twenty Jedi *Masters who left, fyi).
"Ms. Amidala has presented Threepio with clothes!"
Final fun fact! In this draft, C-3PO is "naked" like he was in The Phantom Menace. George played with the idea that Padmé was the one who installs the bronze plates on C-3PO!
Tumblr media
(if there's a * in the margins on the right, btw, it means that's where a correction was done)
And Threepio hugs her!
And Owen calls Shmi "Mom"! My heart...!
This was probably removed later on because it leads directly to Anakin arriving with Shmi's dead body in tow, and it would've been too much of an emotional flip-flop, for lack of a better term ^^'
Either that or putting the animatronic naked C-3PO would've hurt the budget.
UPDATE: At Star Wars Celebration 2022, Anthony Daniels spoke about this change! They actually shot everything with Anthony Daniels playing incomplete Threepio (instead of using an animatronic like in TPM, it was actually him playing it) and then George changed his mind and they reshot all the parts with him in the bronze plating. Talk about hurting the budget ^^'

Across the Stars II
Pairing: Hunter x Jedi!reader
Warnings: mentions of war, violence, death
Summary: When the Supreme Chancellor is kidnapped by General Grievous you accompany Shaak Ti to Coruscant. Order 66 is declared, forcing you to face off against a friend.
Word Count: 2.8k
A/N: This part takes place during Episode III. I’m kinda going with what my ideas are so sorry for the big jumps in time. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll do small drabbles to fill in gaps. But for now, please enjoy!
Series Masterlist
You step out of your quarters on Kamino and start in the direction of the training room. As you walk down the white corridor, platoons of clones rush past. You stop one of the officers and ask what is happening.
“Coruscant is under attack,” he tells you. “We have orders to leave as soon as possible. The General is already on route to the hangar.”
You thank him before racing away. The large blast doors of the hangar are open and you see squads of clones boarding ships. When you finally spot the Togruta you run straight for her.
“Master!”
Shaak Ti turns when you call her name. She stands at the foot of a ship’s open ramp. With her long montrals and Jedi robes slightly pooling around her feet, she is the picture of power and authority. Many falter before her, but the many years as her padawan, and admittedly, Anakin’s influence throughout your academy years, have given you confidence when approaching her.
“Is it true?” You cut straight to the point. “Is Coruscant under attack?”
“Yes,” she says. “I’ve been ordered to protect the Chancellor.”
“I’m coming with you.”
“No,” she shakes her head, “you must stay here to oversee operations while I am away.”
“I won’t let you face this alone.” You cross your arms, expression set with determination. “You can’t stop me, master.”
Her gaze is pondering for a few moments before she sighs. “Very well. I will request a replacement to come in our absence. Are you ready?”
You place your hand on the lightsaber at your hip, nodding. Shaak Ti smirks and you follow her into the ship.
The trip to Coruscant seems too long. And when you finally arrive and touch down on the surface, it’s chaos. There are droids overrunning the capital building and nearly constant blaster fire. You and Shaak Ti fight side by side, advancing toward the front of the capital building where you join up with other Jedi.
“It’s Grievous,” one of them says. “He is making his way to the Chancellor!”
Shaak Ti is quick to move into action, and you’re not far behind. But she suddenly stops and you have to dig your heels hard against the ground to keep from colliding with her.
“What is it?” you ask.
“You’re staying here.”
“What?” You frown. “No. I’m coming with you.”
“That is my order.” She steps up and puts a hand on your shoulder. “You are needed here.”
You turn your head and see another wave of battle droids approaching. Many clone troopers have already fallen and the ones that are left standing are small in number. Several other Jedi have already joined the fight.
Your lips press into a thin line and you giver her a stiff nod. So, you turn and rejoin the battle to help the capital forces while Shaak Ti and two other Jedi enter the building.
You fall into a rhythm, fighting side by side with the clones to strike down every droid in your path. And you are very close to finishing the last of them when, suddenly, you hear a loud crashing sound and look up to see Grievous escaping with the Chancellor. You frown and run into the building, expecting to find the worst.
When you reach the Chancellor’s office you find Shaak Ti and the others on the floor. You drop onto your knees beside her and check for a pulse, sighing in relief when you realize she’s alive and just unconscious. You stand and step around the overturned furniture and toward the window where Grievous escaped through.
Carefully, you stand at the edge and look down at the scene below. The clones have defeated Grievous’s ground forces and are celebrating. A brief grin curves your lips before there’s an ache against your temple. You wince as you sense a disturbance in the force.
You look up into the sky, where you see Grievous’s ship stationed on the outskirts of the planet, troubled at the feeling. But it’s gone as soon as it came.
Tumblr media
The next day, Shaak Ti informs you that with the kidnapping of the chancellor you both are staying for a few days while things settle down.
You tell her about the disturbance you sensed. Her advice to you is that you must not let your feelings become clouded by the current happenings and suggests you meditate.
So, decide on a walk around the temple. You recount memories of your training as a youngling in this very place, the only home you’ve ever known.
As you head in the direction of the meditation garden, you pass an open room where the younglings are training. You pause as you hear their excited voices when they notice you. There is a young Wookie, Gungi, that you recognize first along with a few other faces. You wave to them before continuing on.
Being a planet wide city, every inch of Coruscant is crowded with giant structures and ships and lights. But in places like the meditation garden you are better able to connect with nature and to the Force. Shaak Ti once told you that you have a particular sensitivity to force visions. When you were younger they would plague you constantly, but you’d since learned to better master their influence over you. Meditation has been your greatest tool.
When you arrive at the entrance of the garden, it’s like you’ve been transported to another world. Lush green foliage fills up the grand space. Natural light trickles down from above and casts a serene glow over the vibrant plants and colorful flowers. There are various stone paths, which are almost completely hidden within the greenery, but as you choose your own to take you don’t feel lost at all. You step lightly along the stones, following the sound of trickling water, until you arrive at the edge of a thin stream.
You take a seat on the soft dirt, crossing your legs and closing your eyes. You place your hands on your knees and inhale deeply. The steady sound of the stream is what you focus on first, then the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze.
It’s a strange thing. The more you focus, the more you feel yourself disconnecting from your physical body. Your mind and spirit are free to connect to the Force. At first you feel the warmth of the light, but then the same disturbance from yesterday creeps upon you. Except this time it’s grown more intense. There’s fear. A lot of it.
The vision appears suddenly before you. You are in a dark space, the only light you can see comes from between the thin lines of a metal grate as figures move along on the other side. You hear the steady rhythm of marching feet. There are cries of fear, and pain. The vision intensifies and threatens to overwhelm you.
However, you fight its pull and focus on the weight of the small metal orb resting against your sternum. The necklace Hunter gave you works to anchor you back to the present. The screams and the dark images fade, slowly, as you travel back through the light. You open your eyes and refocus yourself on the surroundings of the garden. You let out a deep sigh.
You lay your hand over your chest, where the orb sits beneath your tunic, and ponder over what just happened. It’s been some time since you’ve experienced a vision as strong as this one. But what surprises you most is how you were able to come out of it. You haven’t had a chance to contact Hunter recently, your roles in the war keeping you both nearly always occupied. However, you can’t deny that you miss him. Probably more than you should.
Getting up from your spot, you leave the garden and make your way back to your quarters. Your feet are muffled against the carpet of the wide hall. The afternoon light shines through the tall windows and onto two familiar figures standing off to the side. Anakin and Master Kenobi appear to be in a heated discussion. So when they pause upon seeing you approach, you simply nod in their direction before carrying on.
Once you’re back in your quarters you sit on the floor with your legs crossed and set up your holopad in front of you, entering Hunter’s frequency. You pull out your necklace and roll the closed orb between two fingers while you wait. You don’t expect Hunter to receive you so you’re pleasantly surprised when a hologram of him appears.
He says your name, sounding more like a question.
You drop your hand. “Hello, Hunter.”
“What’s wrong?” He frowns. “You hardly ever contact me here.”
“I—”
“Hey, there!” Wrecker suddenly appears beside Hunter, almost pushing him out of the chair he’s sitting in. “When are you going to come see us again? You’re missing out on all the fun.”
“Don’t worry, Wrecker,” you chuckle, “I’ve had plenty of my own fun.”
“On Kamino?”
“No.” You shake your head. “Coruscant.”
“Coruscant?” Hunter questions. “You were there?”
Wrecker looks like he wants to keep talking but notices Hunter’s concerned tone and backs away, bidding you a quick goodbye.
“I still am, actually,” you say.
“Are you alright?” Hunter asks. His eyes dart around your face, no doubt looking for any physical evidence of harm you may have sustained. “Are you in trouble?”
“No.”
“Then what’s going on?”
“I just…” Your eyes drop. You exhale slowly before speaking. “I needed someone to talk to.”
“About?”
You take a long pause. He says your name and you finally look up.
“I have this feeling.” Your voice is soft, just above a whisper. “A bad feeling that I can’t shake. I think something terrible is going to happen.”
Hunter leans forward. “Like what?”
“I don’t know. My vision was dark, and I couldn’t make out much.” You frown as frustration swells within you. “I try to see more but I get overwhelmed and I—”
You stop yourself, absently reaching for your necklace. Hunter’s eyes follow the movement.
“I meant what I said. If you ever need me—”
“You have your own assignments, Hunter.” You abruptly cut him off. “Besides, Master Yoda says the future is fluid, always changing. So I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.”
Hunter sighs, shoulders deflating, and you mentally chide yourself for your reaction. You know he only wants to assure you and doesn’t like to see you worry, but there’s also the part of you that knows the attachment to him grows stronger every day. And if you’re to stay a Jedi, then you need to manage your feelings better.
“I’m sorry.”
Hunter sighs. “I get it.”
You hear Tech’s voice off screen, saying they’re receiving another transmission.
“I have to go,” Hunter says. “I’m not sure when we’ll see each other again. So…stay safe.”
You muster a smile despite the ache in your chest. “You too, Hunter.”
His hologram disappears, leaving you alone.
Tumblr media
The following night, you’re in the garden again. You’re deep into your meditation when you sense a disturbance in the force. You flinch, pressing a palm to the side of your head at the sudden pain.
Quickly, you stand and leave the garden. Your footsteps hasten toward one of the smaller meditation rooms where you know Shaka Ti is currently in. She must have felt the disturbance as well, and if anyone could give you answers it’s her. She’s among the wisest people you knew.
You don’t bother knocking in your haste to speak with her. And when your finger presses on the side panel and the door slides open, you’re rooted in place when you see Anakin with his lightsaber drawn standing above Shaak Ti where she sits on the ground. You’re about to ask what’s going on, when suddenly he strikes her.
“No!” You run toward your former master, now slumped onto the floor. You cradle her body in your arms and press your ear to her chest. You don’t hear a heartbeat. Confusion. Sadness. Pain. Anger. Your jaw clenches as each emotion rages through you. “What have you done?”
Anakin doesn’t respond. You stay seated on the floor as tears well up in your eyes. Your breath becomes heavy from the sudden wave of your grief, but mostly from your anger. You ground your teeth as the heat of something dark swells inside of you.
You sense Anakin’s movement behind you and swiftly reach for your lightsaber along your hip. You turn your torso and ignite your saber, raising it just in time to collide with Anakin’s. He frowns. Using all your strength, you push him away from you. As Anakin stumbles backward, you get to your feet and settle into your fighting stance.
You know Anakin is a strong force wielder, but he isn’t without his faults. You trained with him in the academy and know his weaknesses. But he also knows yours.
Your grip tightens around the base of your lightsaber as you circle each other. Anakin is the first to attack. His footwork was always better than yours so you find yourself struggling to keep up, barely blocking his strikes to your torso. But you sense his animosity, his need to overcome everyone and everything. And you finally see the full extent of this when your sabers collide and you’re both pressed closely together. You frown at the sinister yellow that has overcome his irises. You know then what he has become.
Your friend is gone, and someone unfamiliar has taken his place.
Anakin pushes hard and sends you backward. But you steady yourself and charge him head on. You don’t hold back as your anger overpowers him. Surprise flashes across his face as you deliver blow after blow, each stronger and harsher than the last. It’s a delicate dance the two of you weave around the room. But eventually the end of your lightsaber catches the side of his arm and he hisses. You use the momentary pause to your advantage and raise your hand to force push him into the wall. He drops his lightsaber and it rolls away from him. You stalk menacingly over to him and tower above him, your own weapon held high above your head and poised to kill.
“You killed her!” you shout, hot angry tears trailing down your cheeks. “How could you?”
You feel the darkness creeping. It’s gnawing at the edges of your mind, whispering for you to bring down your lightsaber. To end him. And in this moment you want to, you really want to.
But then suddenly you feel the slightest vibration against your chest and realize it’s your necklace. The orb must have opened during the fight and only now that you’re still can you feel its familiar rhythm.
Slowly, you come back to yourself. You power down your lightsaber and take a step away from Anakin. He looks up at you with hard set eyes and a deep frown. He goes to stand but you send a swift kick to the side of his head and he slumps down against the wall, unconscious.
You stand there for a moment, taking in what has just happened. You just faced off with Anakin. Because he killed Shaak Ti, a fellow jedi. Why would he do that?
Right as the thought passes through your mind, the sound of blaster fire rings from outside. You walk up to the door, taking one last look at your former master before you turn and leave the room.
As soon as you step into the hall, you spot a squad of clone troopers. You call to them for help, but when they aim their blasters in your direction you’re thankful for your quick reflexes as you’re able to ignite your lightsaber to block and redirect their fire.
“Stand down!” you shout, but your attempt falls on deaf ears as they continue their assault.
You advance on them, moving with quickness and light feet to strike each of them down. When none of the troopers are left standing you survey the pile of bodies around you, trying to understand what is happening. Whatever it is, you know that the Temple is no longer safe and you have to leave.
So you make your way through the halls and strike down more clones that attack you. You’re about to turn a corner when you sense something.
You stop in your tracks. The more you focus the more you recognize the same feeling from your vision. Turning, you see the square vent on the bottom of the wall. Using the force, you rip the metal grate cover from the wall to find a group of younglings huddled together inside, the ones you encountered yesterday.
“It’s only me.” You crouch down to their eye level and hold out your hand. “Come. We must go quickly.”
Gungi is the first to move and take your hand. The rest follow his lead and pile out into the hall. They’re a small group, confused and terrified. With their gazes trained onto you also comes the weight of responsibility. To comfort them. To ensure their safety.
You don’t waste any more time. You instruct them to stay close as you lead them down the hall, hopefully toward your escape.

OC's with Lassie
Tis I, The OC Lass! You can call me Lassie or Christine (Lassie is more fun but Christine is an actual name soooo).
In case you couldn't tell by my name, I like OCs. I'm a bit of an OC addict. My brain literally cannot go into new media without either creating a new OC for it or inserting an existing OC into it. It's a problem. That being said, I have some OCs that I'm pretty happy with, and some of them I've written/am writing fanfics for. That being said, there are some that I haven't written about or have written very little about, and I want to share with the internet. I don't know if I'll keep with it, but my current plan is to write about a new OC every Friday. We'll see how that goes.
But, without further ado, let's start with one of my Star Wars OC's, Onteile Tiax.
So, big stuff first. Onteile is part of an original alien species that I came up with called Alkavarians.
An Alkavarian summary: Alkavarians have colorful hair and eyes, and their eyes are very special two pupiled eyes that help them see in the dark but are sensitive to quick light changes. They also have colorful markings on their skin that can pretty much be any color. Alkavarians are a race of telepaths and are considered highly dangerous (because I feel like when people write about telepathy and having the ability to control minds, they don't do anything with the very vast number of things that the brain controls, so I did that. If you'd like to learn more, I wrote a whole series about a different Alkavarian OC for The Mandalorian) in terms of abilities. However, they're actually considered a very diplomatic people. Don't mind working with other species but it's looked down upon to marry and reproduce with other species (especially older generations who are high and mighty about pure Alkavarian blood). There is a reason, which is that despite their power, their genetic identifiers don't tend to carry through to hybrid kids (and no hybrid will look exactly like their Alkavarian parent). More on that later!
So, back to Onteile. Before the Clone Wars and before she was married or had kids (her husband is an absolute fucking gem by the way, please let me know if you'd like me to talk about him), she was engaged to a Mandalorian woman and they ran around as freedom fighters together. Onteile's fiancée was killed in their last battle before they were supposed to get married, and Onteile, in a fit of grief, casually went and banged her friend, Kit Fisto (listen. I'm ace, but that is a tall, sexy fish man). They couldn't be together, of course, so she eventually married her current husband, who she does love and care about very much. Nowadays, she's still friends with many Jedi, including Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and senators like Bail Organa. She's a highly respected warrior and diplomat who brings her home planet, Critri, into the Clone Wars to help the Republic. She generally works in the senate or goes on diplomatic missions, but she's not actually a senator. However, occasionally she works on Republic ships and the battlefield. Through this, she gets close to many of the clones, primarily the 501st and 212th (but she also bonds with clones from other legions, like Plo Koon's 104th) and becomes like something of a mother to them. She's already a very maternal figure as she has two young daughters at home, and her kindness and soothing presence makes her very dear to the clones' hearts. She gets to the point of calling them her sons and offering them a home on her planet when the war is over. She also brings several home and they become like big brothers to her daughters (particularly the younger one). She mourns every son she loses and keeps track of them all so that she can honor them.
I did start writing a fic about Onteile and wrote her into a couple of episodes, but I got burnt out and it's till unfinished. That being said, you can read the first five chapters here. Perhaps season 3 of The Bad Batch will catapult me back into a Star Wars obsession. Let's hope, because I do miss Onteile and my other Star Wars OCs. More on those on another day. May write more about Onteile if I remember more (maybe a part 2). I may also see if I can find some of my sketches of her. We'll see.
But until then, this has been OC's with Lassie.

You guys I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS (for Dave) after those two episodes!!!!
BAD BATCH SPOILERS PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!
WHO is going to be Hunter’s impulse control next time a smol bean that needs a family pops up in their path?
Why is it called Echo Base, and we never see the clones on Hoth? I’m SO WORRIED ABOUT THIS. DON'T HURT ECHO THE MAN HAS TAKEN ENOUGH WRATH ALREADY!!!
Hunter is now missing his sanity check and voice of reason. How much more exhausted is the poor man gonna get?
WHAT THE FUCK did they do to that poor clone!!! Please tell me they didn’t also do that to Crosshair!!! Who was he, will we ever know or are we gonna have a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial going on now? And did anyone else panic when Rex went to turn the man’s face, worried we were gonna see a 5 emblazoned on the man’s right temple? They gave us Echo back, which I am forever grateful for, but Dave seems intent on doing things like that in the most painful ways now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he brings Fives back in a way that is completely the opposite of what he died fighting for. But this man was a sniper… who was he? And again, what did they do to the poor man?
When is Cross coming home? That means he has to now, right? Because Hunter needs him to be a voice of reason?
Rampart - FINALLY!!! But also WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK SHEEV!!!!!
Filoni - HAVEN’T THE POOR CLONES SUFFERED ENOUGH YET??? I KNOW UIU HAVE NEW FODER FOR EVIL BUT GIVE THE POOR MEN A BREAK PLEASE. And no I do not mean just filler episodes, tho I do fricken MISS the lightheartedness of those episodes now.
I am glad Rex got his Echo back tho. Those two need each other more than ever now. The last of the boys in blue… fuck that hurts… but Echo was the Batch’s moral motivation and Omega’s source of emotional stability and “no sharp objects, you already remind me of Fives” expression, and… SO MUCH ONE SENTENCE DOESN’T DO IT JUSTICE.
AND HE'S GOT HUNTER SO FRICKEN CLOSE TO JOINING THE REBELLION NOW!!! What was that he said to Rex “if you ever need us, just say the word” or something like that? That’s gonna be the finale, isn’t it? Rex calling them back for a mission together that solidifies them at Rex’s side in the rebellion? BUT WHAT'S IT GONNA COST THIS BATCH???!!! DO I WANNA KNOW??? (I don't think it would be good for me to know, my heart's already broken rn man, but now it’s in my mind I have to think about it)
Speaking of, we know Rex lives because Rebels, BUT PLEASE LET ECHO SURVIVE THIS SEASON!!! IMMA CRY FOREVER IF THAT'S WHY ITS CALLED ECHO BASE!!! AND TECH AND HUNTER AND WRECKER AND CROSSHAIR NEED TO SURVIVE THIS TOO!!! I don’t think I could watch another of the men go down. It hurts enough when it’s clones we just met, DON'T YOU DARE TAKE ONE OF THE MEN WE HAVE ALREADY FALLEN IN LOVE WITH DAVE!!!
And for the love of all things sacred in Star Wars IS CODY ALRIGHT??? I feel like I need that damn deep breathe seagull to truly stress just how tired I am of asking this question. Somehow I don’t think Filoni is gonna let us stop asking that one tho....
Idk about you guys but I need to know that more than 3 clones survive and have a good life. I need to know that Rex’s little group isn’t alone in the Galaxy.
'scuse me, Imma go cry in a corner till I fall asleep now. THAT ONE HURT DAVE!!!

Thoughts on Episode 116 (S6 E3)
Festering feathers, haunting Hawks, and Toga and Twice. Let’s talk about it
Yeah I know I didn't do one of these last week but shhhh it's fine
Spoiler free for the manga. I technically quote one line that will be in the next episode, but it's not spoiling anything we don't already know
This episode man... I had 2 years to prepare and I still managed to get misty eyed
Also it's wild that Twice's death is no longer a manga-spoiler
I kind of liked that they focused on the hero stuff at the beginning. In the manga the scene of Hawks holding Twice at knife-point (feather-point?) is right after Kaminari's moment, but I really liked that they let the heroes do their thing without interruption. It made both the hero scene and the Twice-Hawks interaction flow really well. Great change, bravo to whoever made that decision
I know some people are calling this episode "a slideshow" and like... sure you're technically right. But I thought it all looked quite nice. Plus, some of the stiff moments felt justified to me (like how are you supposed to put action when the scene is "guy is on the ground not moving"?)
I also think they did enough intercutting of animation with "slideshow" to make it less offensive. It's not the Mirio battle, at the very least
Tokoyami. That's it, that's the thought
Dang, they really animated Hawks about to stab his feather sword down (right before Dabi bursts in). I was scared they were gonna strip Hawks of any darker moments and make the whole scene feel like a heroic thing, but that was great. It adds to the complexity of the scene and doesn't let him get off easy
Dabi pretty. Whoever animated him this episode, give them a raise. Like they even got the texture and details of his scars! Sometimes he looks so flat (ahem, preview for next week) but this looked great
They cut the scene of him going up there stairs, but I think it worked better this way. In the manga, that was a chapter's cliffhanger. But here? I like it so much better that Dabi bursts in all unexpected. And I LOVE that he says his line about not blaming Twice OUT LOUD TO TWICE. 10/10 change
The actual stabbing scene... ok let me tell you a bit of an embarrassing story. When I first read this chapter most of the war arc had already come out, so I was able to read the chapters back to back. And when I read this one... I hadn't realized Twice died. Seriously. I went to the next chapter, saw the "is that the face of a man who just watched his friend die?" line, and did a double take. I went through the chapter 5 times, scanning every single page, before I realized THAT was when the real Twice died. Please don't judge me
Anyways, I think the anime did a pretty good job clarifying that. The music cues help catch your attention, there's the moment of hesitation before we see Hawks posed to strike in the flames, all that good stuff. I do wish THAT scene hadn't been a still frame, but then again I can't say I'd want to watch Twice be actively stabbed in the back
I do like that they focus in on his body afterwards without having it be too graphic. Yes. Good. Show us. Give us clarification
The Toga scene broke me. Twice's clone "crying" but it's actually him melting? Beautiful
The ending. THE ENDING. They didn't have to change that, but they did and I loved it. The sound I made when I saw it was so funny too. Like a half sob-half choking sound
I'm curious to see if/how the ed changes throughout the season. I could definitely see them doing something new for the adaptation of chapter 290. I don't think I'd want it to change every time, but a couple times for the big moments would be awesome
Overall? Great episode despite the heartbreak

This pic was something that came into my head, as I began some serious brainstorming for a Justice League Unlimited fanfic idea that I'd had in the works for quite some time...namely, the return of the Supergirl Clone, Galatea (aka. the DCAU incarnation of Power Girl).   While the argument could be easily made that she was killed by Supergirl in the episode, "Fire in the Sky", my take on it is going to be that she's been in a coma for several months.  What you see in this pic is as the title implies...two versions...what she was...and what she will ultimately become.  And as you make the comparison, even her expressions are as night and day.  What was once bitterness and confusion has now been replaced with confidence and purpose.  Such are the changes she'll experience in these tales.  But like most metamorphoses, her journey to that summit will NOT be an easy one. My original plan was to have this story be a one-shot, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that one story would be insufficient, as having her do a full-tilt 180 after one story seemed unrealistic.  So I decided to split the idea into two stories, instead.  The first story, entitled, "Emergence" (which is already written and posted on fanfiction.net...again, Author Name Aaron12) sees with Galatea coming out of her coma.  And when she finally wakes up, she finds herself in a world she no longer has any place in. Faced with the reality of being a living weapon for a war that never came, Galatea's already-fragile self worth shatters completely.  And as she begins to run wild, it ultimately falls to Superman to stop her rampage. The second story is going to be entitled, "Ascension" and will be set several months after "Emergence", with Superman still trying to help Galatea carve out her own identity (as task proving to be quite the challenge, as Galatea's rebellious side continues to rear its head).  But things only get more complicated as Supergirl returns from the 31st century to stop an escaped villain from changing a point in history...an incident that Galatea, herself, is personally involved in.  The story ultimately ends with Galatea finally mending fences with Supergirl, as well as completing her evolution into Power Girl by deciding what she truly wants from her own existence.  But acquiring this new lease on life may cost her more than she EVER thought she would have to pay... All-in-all, I'm quite pleased with this pic.  It turned out exactly the way I envisioned it.  Of course, feel free to tell me what you think.  As always, I look forward to any thoughts.

Alrighty! after finishing the prequel trilogy and the clone wars, here are my initial thoughts on season 1 of Star Wars rebels, which I also had not seen.
Spark of rebellion duology
-oh, ezra is straight up Aladdin but without the orientalist (so far. i have low hopes) imagery.
-Hera and kanun are going to become my favorite characters, I’m calling it now. i can just tell
-my only knowledge of sabine comes from the mandalore arc, since i wanted to be up to date for the mandalorian. I won’t pass judgement on her character yet, a single episode (at time of writing) is not enough have a full read on her. what i can say is that I’m always happy to see female Asian (coded) characters get to be something other than a racist caricature. she reads as southeast asian to me, but that’s probably me projecting [redacted story about Vietnamese family member explaining why i get that vibe] and not an intentional choice on the designers part.
-going into this, i know via osmosis that rebels is not as suitable for older audiences as clone wars was. I’m going to do my best to let this show stand on its own and not make comparisons. but no promises on how successful I’ll be!
-there’s going to be romantic tension between Ezra and sabine and i doubt I’m going to enjoy it much. i can already tell from the swishy helmet removal.
-the stormtrooper helmets look so wrong. i think it’s the shape of the mouth thingy? it makes the whole thing look terrible and bizarre
-how is kallus getting away with that facial hair. totally against military regulations and fashion laws
-zeb you’re a seemingly seasoned rebel, you know damn well the empire never goes easy on anyone. my boy is getting the pg version of having your fingernails torn out.
-where.. where was he hiding that holocron from the imperials?
-the wookiees also look uncanny. their faces are bigger and it’s like they’ve been stretched out. I’m trying not to compare rebels to tcw, buuuuuuuuut tcw adaptation of Wookiees worked better for me
-yes, I’ve been nitpicky. i have been a wet blanket. i admit to the good women of the jury that I’ve fallen short of the cinemawins attitude i strive to maintain here as i maintain a ruthlessly optimistic attitude in my lived life. in my defense, your honor, the characters have hooked me, ezra, hera, and kanan are especially promising to me
Droids in distress
-man, i miss being able to organize these posts into multi episode arcs. so clean and neat. hey, it’s a fair trade for getting an episode order that matches the chronology
-the Spanish translators didn’t seem to know what to do with sentient being used as a noun. can’t blame them, it’s not like I know either, but creature doesn’t seem quite right. actually fluent Spanish speakers please feel free to offer your opinion in the notes
-threepio looks fucked up too! i grew to tolerate tcw styles though, so it’s only a matter of time
-i mean, Garel’s sky looks lovely
-i was not expecting zeb of all the characters to be a genocide survivor, I’m glad he gets to be more than just The Big Guy of the band. hope the show runners follow up on zebs relationship with kanan
Fighter flight
-if it wasn’t Star Wars this would be a show about shitty shitty roommates
-Ezra’s slingshot is cute, but someone needs to give that boy a blaster
-sabine, top contender for worst roommate on the ghost for her use or spraypaint, which is especially effective at inducing headaches when recently applied
-this is kind of a filler episode, but I’m fond of it! there’s a little bit of Ezra’s background in there (the farmers knew his parents) and zeb and Ezra have settled into an older/younger brother dynamic that i like a lot.
Rise of the old masters
-if either zeb or Ezra had been a woman, the way they fell on each other would have been textbook anime romantic tension
-maybe do or do not there is no try is just what you say when your padawan is whining
-i knew that luminara wasn’t going to be part of the ensemble cast, she’s too firmly rooted in the prequels for a show that seems focused on the imperial era, but using her dead body as a trap is.. dang, okay. was not expecting this from the fruit stealing show I’ll admit
-ughh the skinny lightsabers. girl they look like they’d snap like a pencil if you dueled with them
-and the spinning too naur
-making kanan an insecure jedi because he didn’t get to completely become one is such an inspired choice to pair him with ezra
-you’d think the stormtroopers have never seen grenades before. did you guys not learn to get out of the way in basic training?
-they are playing space baseball <3 i am loving it
Breaking ranks
-ezra became heroic.. too quickly imo. i feel like a little more time should have been spent on that part of his character
-seeing how leonis could reappear at some point is kind of neat. i don’t really have much to say about this episode though? it’s not bad, but it’s a little bland for me
-take kell, for example. Ezra betrays him in a challenge so he can work with leonis, but except for kell initially thinking the inquisitor was a trick, it never comes back up again. I’m not expecting anything profound, but i would like follow up on stuff that walks and talks like a checkovs gun
Out of darkness
-I’m not a fan of this “the imperial academy didn’t allow questions” being equated to how intel sources need to remain confidential. so the fulcrum intel underestimated imperial defenses, but got everything else correct. I’m not convinced that enough of a reason to suspect it’s reliability, so it makes sabine come off as a brat to me
-but I’m looking forward to Sabine and Hera development, so I’m trying to let it slide
-argh sabine it’s so obvious fulcrum is working from inside the empire stop complaining about secrecy. sabine is physically coded as Asian but not at all culturally, and it’s not because she’s a mandalorian. if i spoke to any of my older Asian (not even east or southeast specifically, I’m talking west to south to east) relatives like that I’d get shouted into the next year
-okay, at least she apologized. sure, she’s still being an annoying teenager about it, but I’m a kettle, she’s a pot, etc etc.
-ahh, this isn’t about trust, it’s about Trust. I’m cheating a bit by knowing Sabine’s weapon thing, but at this point, i don’t think sabine really knows why she’s with these rebels. to stick it to the empire, sure, but that’s not enough. you’ve got to have goals, or principles. sabine is a Mandalorian, I doubt she cares about bringing the republic back, and i don’t think she knows what she’s doing beyond simply clawing at the empire anyway she can. or maybe I’m way off the mark and I’ll be shown up by the end of the episode
-tumbeasts in their natural habitat, not in captivity
-that base looks like it’s been abandoned for a while, so i wonder what those things eat when tasty tasty rebels aren’t on the menu
-alright, so things between ezra and sabine haven’t been unbearable, mainly bc it’s mostly comedic and also one sided
-oh I was reading way too much into the sabine/Hera/principles thing. still, an interesting enough train of thought to warrant leaving it up there
Empire day arc
-kanan, not forming attachments was uh. one of the main Jedi things. right below lightsabers and above wearing beige robes. but then it seems like he contradicts himself when he tells ezra not to hold on to his past— in other words, don’t be attached to what’s come and gone
-kallus = callous. it took me way too long to realize that
-is there an in universe reason that trackers aren’t registered by shields?
-i didn’t realize how badly the obi wan kenobi shoe fumbled reva until watching rebels. the spinning lightsaber is stupid, yes, but the writing is solid. this pau’an dude is a welcome addition where reva felt rushed
-this ezra being being vulnerable to the dark side is shaping up to be really interesting. I’m a little surprised to say this, but i think Ezra’s my favorite character at the moment.
-aw, the ending was so sweet
Path of the Jedi
-i wonder if the Jedi we see who have visible connections to their native cultures (depa billaba, luminara, barriss, shaak ti, ahsoka, etc) received some amount of training at temples on their homeworlds. if there’s an outpost on an outer rim out of the way planet like lothal, there could have been temples almost anywhere. we focus on coroscant in tcw because that’s where the action is, but that’s just one temple in a big galaxy
-I’m digging the temple design a lot
-disembodied yoda voice looks like qui gon jinn before he completed his force ghost training, but I’m almost certain he’s still alive on dagobah at this point?? it’s probably just a coincidence, or they didn’t bother doing a different mystical effect
-I’m usually not into dream/illusion sequences for doing character development at speed easily, but this one is doing well enough for me to be okay with it. i can’t help but enjoy force shenanigans
-declaring it now: kaiburr is a better spelling than kyber, and I will be sticking with the Spanish version for the foreseeable future. i will not accept any criticism at the time thank you
Idiots array
-technically, it’s a fine adaptation of lando put to animation but.. his mojo isnt there. I’m not convinced that this is a man who has sex. i simply am not.
-I’m not convinced his voice actor has either, honestly. where’s the smooth confidence?
-Jedi were statistically speaking, rare even before order 66. lando has canonically met three.
-this gambit he’s pulling with Hera.. L3 would never have allowed this to slide
-yes! beat his head in with his own gluttony! have I mentioned how much I like hera? because I like her a lot
-the fucking. puffer fish pig. lando slapping it like a car. if i wasn’t slightly loopy from the heat of my period cramp hot water bottle i would probably think this was dumb, but it’s really, really funny. unreasonably so.
Vision of hope
-p a d a w a n j a b b a
-trayvis is really beginning to seem like he’s working with the empire… i could be wrong, maybe he’s just a little incompetent
-aha! i was right, i have a good nose for genre conventions from all the Star Trek and x files I’ve watched
-for example: i can sort of feel that there’s still a twist about the Bridger parents that hasn’t been revealed yet
-have i mentioned how much i love hera?
Call to action
-a tarkin episode? let’s see how this plays out
-his animated model is more facially exaggerated than in the clone wars, which is.. I’m not keen on it, it makes him feel off, but it isn’t stopping me from enjoying how shady he is to the grand inquisitor. just like in tcw, all this hocus pocus gives him a headache!
-some times it’s like this show was made in a lab specifically to appeal to people with absent fathers. congrats laboratory, you’ve succeeded
-I’m glad there’s (kind of) an in universe explanation for why the rebels of the ghost aren’t as violent as in other shows. obviously it’s because of stylistic choices and age targeting, but tarkin saying that this group must have more pacifist principles relative to other cells makes things click more
-from five minutes is my optimistic estimate to three to you only get one minute. the life of an engineer.
-kanan, you say you’ll be right behind ezra but the sacrifice music is playing
-man I feel for ezra. weaponizing comms against the empire is how he lost his parents, and now it’s happening to his father figure despite getting a bad feeling about the mission
-tarkin in that helmet is so cursed
-hey, we’re going to see how the rebels form the alliance in this aren’t we? that’ll be a fun plotline.it’s crazy that this is the same era that Andor is taking place in.
Rebel resolve
-walking robots are always way, way, way harder to program, build, balance, design, and drive than something that’s wheeled. i shudder to imagine what piloting one of those walkers must be like.
-I’m not sure why telling vizago that kanan is a Jedi is a big deal? if it’s already a rumor, and you’re telling to somebody people probably won’t trust as far as they can throw, there can’t be much harm, especially if clues to kanans location are on the table
-assuming vizago is a devaronian with an unusual skin tone, he still looks very devilish when he cuts a deal with ezra
-really playing up the Hera as a mother figure with the particular way she gets angry when her son ezra gets mixed up with a bad crowd
-ships with folding parts, my beloved. you make Star Wars worth it
-so chopper just straight up threw that other droid out into the sky. okay, jealous much
-how would kanan know about mustafar being where Jedi go to get royally screwed up? i must be forgetting some fight that isn’t the obi wan-darth Vader/anakin duel
Fire across the galaxy
-I love the implication that sabine regularly tags and then blows up the empire’s stuff at this specific base
-aha, the starbird in the smoke. glad to see the animators having a good time with it
-sabine has the art style of a homemade racer I love this character so much
-if the inquisitor could force push him back on that bridge over the chasm, why couldn’t he just… force shove him off of it to his death
-tie fighters are much bigger on the inside than I remember them being for some reason
-so I was fucking wrong when I thought that fulcrum was an inside agent within the empire
-darth vader seems kind of overkill for a planet that’s supposed to be a backwater
But this season was a fun ride! I’m weak for tv shows that are more episodic and less.. overarching plot focused. (Think Star Trek snw vs Star Trek discovery. episodic vs main plot heavy. both are good, but episodic is getting rarer and rarer as seasons have less and less episodes) rebels delivered on that, though I expect subsequent seasons to have grander narratives now that ahsoka tano and darth vader are on the playing field. Overall, a solid setup that sold me on the ensemble!

Okay. Here we go. Entombed!
Hasn’t even started yet and I know damn well we’re not gonna get crosshair
Wrecker n Omega bonding time 🥰
Ooh more toys? More glass for her kaleidoscope? Is that what that is?
BOLO AND KETCH <3 Phee don’t lead them on tho
Is echo sleeveless.
Nope not for her kaleidoscope
Ooo compass
I still can’t tell if he’s sleeveless or not. Cause bitch ain’t got no melanin for no stinkin reason.
No he’s got sleeves on I think
This is gonna be a case of the revealed “actually I’ve never been a good treasure hunter /I’ve never actually retrieved any treasure” schtick isn’t it. Star Wars you’ve already DONE that with that stupid droid spy arc that nobody likes (except for when Gregor 🥰). BUT GOD NOT ANOTHER PLEASE I fucjin hate that trope.
Hondo prefers pirate, Phee prefers liberater of artefacts… nobody likes smuggler
God I miss crosshair
Bolo and ketch episode when
That droid is literally a walking soda can
It called entombed bc they going to entombed ha ha ha.
I love you Omega
I LOVE YOU WRECKER
Hm… Jedi temple?
Oh no more like Space Atlantis.
Poor wrecker always has to do the work. His muscles are probably always screaming. Doesn’t matter that he’s Big and Strong—he can be overworked too!
Hahaha. called entombed bc they entombed rolling my eyes.
I miss fun Star Trek ep titles. They were fun. When am I gonna get a title like “Far Beyond the Stars” or “Take Me Out To The Holosuite” from this show.
Those highlights ones don’t follow a pattern… but okay.
Not a fan of this ep sorry guys :(
Echo and Hunter go hmmm idk about this . Good on them
Kyber crystal?
FINALLY HUNTER USING A SENSE geez they never let him use his enhancements
Cave boy tru eat wrecker! No thank you cave boy!
O NO. TRAPPED
Momentarily forgot Hunter existed (couldn’t count four clones for some reason and couldn’t figure out who was missing). Which is a lot like how the writers forget HUNTER HAS ENHANCEMENTS
AAAAAND THEY FORGOT AGAIN
He! Would! Be! Able! To! Sense! That!
Omega sweetie you’re so smart. I love you.
OOOO ITS LIKE THOSE ROLLY TUNNELS YOU CAN FIND AT A PARK I wanna go inside
Not a kyber crystal ig
Wait maybe? Idk I can’t tell
It’s a lot smaller than I expected tbh.
Oh the place is gonna collapse isn’t—yep.
spache chip? Mega mech? Mech.
Oh…
Oh this is something… I’ve seen something… it looks like something I know but I don’t know what. What is it. Pausing to think.
I don’t know but it… it reminds me of SOMETHING.
Soda can on da move
Soda can crushed
It really is quite the interesting design for a mechanical creature. Majestic and terrifying. Too bad it has to go. It was truly gorgeous. Something to behold. Whatever it was.
Tech: can we fucking stop treasure hunting now jfc
“At least no one can ever activate that thing again” … we’re gonna see another of these aren’t we.
Hunter: for the love of god please stop filling my child’s head with fucking bullshit
Hm. Not a fan of that ep. Kind of bummed. This seasons got a slow pace to it. Crosshair soon? Maybe Rex and Gregor again? Soon please?

My Thoughts Watching Episode 3
Yay the droids are back!
Even in the empire, other clones are still dicks to Crosshair ffs
WOOHOO!!!! CODY MY ANGEL!!!!!  ....You look horrible in that armour.
He’s acting very much not like an emotionless soldier... Is this... hope I’m feeling?
I saw that little side eye you did Cody. You don’t think they’re traitors. My man.
I don’t care enough to remember his name, but the whiny hostage general really needs to be killed already.
RIP to clones we met this episode and never again.
It was indeed a nice shot....   BUT HOW DARE THEY NICK CODY’S ARM MY PRECIOUS BABY!!!!!
“We’ve both lived through one war. Let’s not start another.” “Peace was never an option.” I swear this show, man.
General whatsitsface shut the hell up already.
Crosshair, darling it’s not your fault. Still a 100% believer he has the chip in.
Yes, his name is Cody you rat bastard!! They are not numbers!!!
Please tell me he’s actually gone rogue and meets up with the bad batch because I need that in my life. Don’t have it that they actually just killed him because he hesitated on an order. Don’t do that to me Filoni. I’m already in therapy. Don’t give me more reasons to be there.

The Clone Wars 2x12 ‘The Mandalore Plot’ Reaction
Tumblr media
I love Satine. She is AMAZING. She is so fierce, takes absolutely no nonsense, stands up for what she believes in, is exceptionally competent and skilled in her areas of speciality (diplomacy etc), calls out Obi-Wan on his philosophical jedi bullshit and saves his life as well. And the sass. The Sass. It is off the charts. They spend the entire time flirting under the pretence of verbal jousting, sassing back and forth at each other. I love it. I love them. I spent so much of this episode just CACKLING.
Satine and Obi-Wan are perfect together. They compliment each other so well. They’re one of those couples that are just meant for each other. They’re soul mates (if this was a Soul Mates AU). Yes I know what happens shhh just let me enjoy this
I know I go on about Space Husband Cody all the time but Obi-Wan and Satine are just so good together. Obi-Wan can have a Space Royalty Wife and a Space Warrior Husband, as a treat. Or they could all just get together as a throuple. Actually, Satine, Cody and Obi-Wan as a throuple sounds most excellent. Ultimate power throuple right there.
Anyway, onwards to the live-blogging style portion of this reaction post.
-
Ahahahaha Obi-Wan is pure sass already
Oooh that’s a pretty building. Not particularly tactically secure though seeing as its walls and ceiling are made of glass. Though that makes sense as a pacifist statement I suppose.
Jango Fett was a common bounty hunter? Excuse?!
Tumblr media
“Well, Master Kenobi, my shining jedi knight, to the rescue once again.” OMGILOVEHERALREADY
What were those strange shimmering noises?
Tumblr media
“After all these years you’re even more beautiful than ever.” Obi-Wan you are NOT subtle
“Kind words from a man who accuses me of treachery.” CACKLING
“No Mandalorian would engage in such violence.” That sounds exceptionally counterintuitive, even if this is a long time before The Mandalorian series.
Tumblr media
Did she just ask him out on a date after a verbal joust?!
Those strange shimmering noises appeared again. Also, the ominous music is about as unsubtle as Obi-Wan’s flirting. I think, just maybe, that they might be trying to tell us that *gasp* something sinister is going on here!
There seems to be quite a few lingering shots on the Prime Minister. Does he do something nefarious later down the line?
Naw they’re on a date!
The little pauses in “It’s so good to see you again Obi-Wan” aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Death Watch. That’s a subtle name.
“Small group of hooligans.” Well that’s going to come back and bite you now isn’t.
“Most distasteful.” Dooku doing the absolute most to chew all of the scenery on this holocall.
First philosophy lesson of the episode. Satine has a damn good point and she’s not letting Obi-Wan get away with any noble jedi bullshit.
Naw he was so worried about her.
Obi-Wan just deciding what to do for Satine’s safety. I get that it’s probably a good idea but also side eyeing.
Ok that was not something I’d ever expect them to show in a “kids tv show”, that was rough and intense.
Is this the first time we hear the Mando’a language spoken?
There’s a lot of religious iconography going on in this episode. The building that Obi-Wan meets the Prime Minister and Duchess Satine in, which looks like a church interior. That hand reaching towards the light.
You two are great and all but why are you sassing each other over the very recently dead dude who is right there?!
“That’s why I’m still talking to you.” SAVAGE
Ahahahahaha Obi-Wan’s little impressed expression CACKLING
Mining is bad kids
Oooh, a Vizla. Is this Paz’s dad?
“Please try not to cause problems where none yet exist” THE SASS
Omg I love these two. They’re perfect.
That pause before Satine said “meditate” XD
Obi-Wan that snooping around is about as subtle as your flirting
I’m loving the music in this episode. It’s been consistently excellent throughout TCW but this episode especially it is really heightening and adding to everything.
Tumblr media
This entire scene of Satine trying to subtly communicate with Obi-Wan without alerting Vizla is peak ridiculous campy TCW comedy
“I’m in a bit of an awkward spot” Obi-Wan does like using that phrase when the situation is much worse than he’s letting on. He did the same thing in 2x9 ‘Grievous Intrigue’ when he asked Anakin to pick them up from a ship that was in the middle of exploding in space.
Why did one of the Mandalorians have an OTT south London gangster accent?
What are those? Random demonstration space pumpkins to emphasise the squishing Obi-Wan is about to receive?
“This is not good.” ya don’t say
Tumblr media
Ahahahaha at the line about the loud metallic clanging sound and the machine about to smash him into bits.
I am CACKLING at their sassing of each other. Obi-Wan is metres away from being pureed and they’re still bantering.
This is definitely me reading far too much into things but that look of relief on Obi-Wan’s face looked suspiciously like an orgasm face. Apt seeing as this is the episode where he reconnects with his old flame.
“Unseemly pleasure” hmmm indeed.
That’s where you’re supposed to kiss dammit.
Again with the random south London gangster accent for the Mandalorian “hooligans”?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“We’ll have to stand and fight. Or in your case, just stand.” OBI-WAN YOU DID NOT
Tumblr media
For such an apparently uncivilised weapon, Obi-Wan seems suspiciously good at shooting blasters.
The rock! Satine!
Lol the Death Watch leader just flicked his little cape away from in front of his arm and then the next shot we see of him it’s right back where it was.
Guv’na? Why the random bri’ish accents?
Lol of course Vizla was the baddie and leader of Death Watch.
Tumblr media
Nyoom! Wiz! Zing! Random sci-fi noises!
Obi-Wan why are you dodging missiles with dance moves?! What is this ridiculousness? Also, CACKLING
Satine! There are missiles coming, time to go!
Lol of course he fell on top of her but in this case I don’t care and I will take that trope and run with it!
“Mine was the more daring of the two rescues.” SNORTS
Lol at Rex, Cody, Anakin and the clones just randomly turning up at the end of the episode.

HOW TO STAR WARS
With three convenient options!
(Please note, I wrote this last year just as Andor S1 ended and Bad Batch S2 started for a friend at work. If someone finds it useful, huzzah. May the Force Be With You.)
OK, I have obviously put WAY too much thought into this, but it’s what I do. Before you dive into 1800 words on Star Wars I whipped up while drinking coffee on a Saturday morning, let me tell you my recommendation is Option 2.  But, if you’re ready for a deep dive into other ideas…proceed!
There are two things you have to ALWAYS remember about Star Wars: it has never been chronological, and it has never been complete. Even if you were there in 1977 (and I was) and we got Episode 4 (not chronological) which ended with the Rebels on the run from a still standing Empire (not complete) you don’t have a moment where anything is revealed in order, and the broader story can always be expanded.  The result of this is that if you don’t like a particular show or movie or plot point, something is probably going to come along and fix it.  There are, believe it or not, movies and shows in The Canon that I don’t think are that great, but like ones I wasn’t super fond of previously, I would expect something is going to come along and expound on those things I didn’t like and make them more palatable.
Option 1
That said, if you want to keep it simple, I would say go ahead and watch everything in release order.  The benefit of that is you getting the story the way the world did.  We came out of the Original Trilogy in 1983 knowing Vader was really Anakin Skywalker, and his son and daughter were Luke and Leia.  We didn’t find out HOW until the Prequel Trilogy (PT) started up in 1999. Some of the way various plot points in later films play out, they hit harder emotionally when you realize what they mean for things you’ve already seen. The weird lady named Mon Mothma who leads the Rebels for 5 minutes in “Return of the Jedi” is now a major character on “Andor” and suddenly this throwaway scene from 1983 grabs your guts because you begin to understand what she went through to get there.  If that sounds appealing, here’s that order:
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)
Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Animated Movie, 2008)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2020)
Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018)
Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Star Wars: Resistance (2018-2020)
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
The Mandalorian (2019-present)
The Book of Boba Fett (2021-2022)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Andor (2022-present)
Ahsoka (upcoming, 2023)
Skeleton Crew (upcoming, 2023
The downside to this is NOTHING happens in order, and you should consult a good reference to get an idea WHEN a particular story takes place in relation to the rest of it all. This one is pretty good, but also includes video games which have great stories, but may or may not be your thing:
Tumblr media
(This is from Reddit; you can Google others that fit more what you’re looking for.)
Option 2
Now, based on the graphic above, there’s another way you could watch it all.  I would call it “Saga Based.” When George Lucas made the OT it was often referred to as “The Adventures of Luke Skywalker.”  Once he made the PT, he started saying the entire saga was about the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. When Disney took over and made the Sequel Trilogy (ST), they began to refer to it as “The Skywalker Saga.”  This means the “Episode” movies, or the left side of the chart above, Episodes I-IX.  And it is very easy to consider that the foundation of all other Star Wars.  Even if those characters don’t appear directly, in some way the supporting characters are all caught up in Skywalker family drama (and I love that; NO literary character in history is as big a drama queen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader).
Once you have those nine films as a foundation, hit the right side of the chart and work your way through those shows and “Story films.”  Again, up to you if you really care about playing video games; they have great stories but nothing that I think you will miss if you just stick to shows and movies.
The advantage to this option is how well-framed the rest of the stories are then, though you have to make sure you’re putting them in chronological context as you watch.
Now, before I go on with a third possible way to watch these, I want to talk about cartoons.  Some of the very best Star Wars is animated Star Wars.  That being said, they are often produced with children in mind (though the episode of “Star Wars: Rebels” where the Imperial Inquisitor uses a double bladed lightsaber to decapitate the “thin guy/fat guy” comic relief duo is just one example of how the shows push the boundaries; it’s not gory, and the violence is implied, but it’s dark!).  The animated shows are not an insignificant time investment.  There are seven seasons of “The Clone Wars,” four seasons of “Rebels,” currently we just started the second season of “The Bad Batch,” and “Resistance” has two seasons. I will include at the end some ways to abbreviate “The Clone Wars” if you want. Also, missing from many of these discussions is “Star Wars: Visions,” which are actually alternate interpretations of the Star Wars universe in anime style by Japanese directors. They’re pretty good, but not the Star Wars you know.
Option 3
Now, you want to go hardcore?  Then watch full chronological order.  You get the story as it happened.  I used to be very much against that, but then in my last job I worked with a couple of guys who didn’t grow up in the US, and things that I had taken for granted when I watched the PT were honest surprises to them. (“ANAKIN is Darth Vader????”)  The problem with this approach is there are still new things coming out at various points of the timeline, so in your viewing, you may be in the shows like “The Mandalorian” taking place five or six years AFTER the OT, and then another season of “Andor” drops and it’s five years BEFORE the OT, and you have to backtrack.
If you are going for this, here’s the order:
Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)
Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Animated Movie, 2008)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2020)
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021-present)
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018)
Andor (2022-present)
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Episode IV: A New Hope (1977)
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983)
The Mandalorian (2019-present)
The Book of Boba Fett (2021-2022)
Star Wars: Resistance (2018-2020)
Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017)
Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
The other issue with trying them this way is some overlap.  The last two episodes of “The Clone Wars” happen DURING “Revenge of the Sith.”  The events of “Andor” episode 6 has direct impact on “Rebels” episode one, and those stories intertwine a bit. “Book of Boba Fett” takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of “The Mandalorian.”  That problem will continue to compound as new shows come out.  We’re actually expecting a show in the next year called “The Acolyte” that takes place a hundred years BEFORE “The Phantom Menace”!
Another positive to this option is it allows you to break the various shows and movies up into “eras.”  This image, also stolen from Reddit is one way to do that:
Tumblr media
The era I find the most interesting (unlike most SW fans) isn’t really about the Jedi but what Obi-Wan called in the original movie “The Dark Times.” In this graphic they would include the “Reign of the Empire” and first half of the “Age of Rebellion” stuff.  So many of those stories deal not with Good Space Wizards fighting EVIL Space Wizards, but normal people trying to survive oppression and realizing there is no safety in tyranny.  Now, that’s just me.  It’s not that I don’t love Obi-Wan and Anakin coming undone and desperately fighting one another in a lava flow, but common people deciding to stand up with no mystical “Force” to protect them? Well that rings my bells.
Star Wars is a huge, still evolving mythology, as complex as any classic we have from Sophocles or Shakespeare or Tolkien. As spiritual as any holy book. At times as deep as any tragedy, and as uplifting as any faith. Sometimes it’s just silly, and sometimes it’s heartrending.
Yes, it is just some solid popcorn-pew-pew-entertainment as well, but thematically there is SO much going on, and it compels me like few other things do.
Anyway, without further ado, here’s an old write up I did about how to take on “The Clone Wars” cartoon. You COULD just watch these episodes:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Clone Cadets" (S 3 Ep 1)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Rookies"  (S 1 Ep 5)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "ARC Troopers" (S 3 Ep 2)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "The Citadel"  (S 3 Ep 18)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Counterattack" (S 3 Ep 19)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Citadel Rescue" (S 3 Ep 20)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Darkness on Umbara" (S 4 Ep 7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "The General" (S 4 Ep 8)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Plan of Dissent"  (S 4 Ep 9)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Carnage of Krell" (S 4 Ep 10)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "The Unknown"  (S 6 Ep 1)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Conspiracy"  (S6 Ep 2)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Fugitive" (S 6 Ep 3)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Orders" (S 6 Ep 4)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "The Bad Batch" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "A Distant Echo"(S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "On the Wings of Keeradaks" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Unfinished Business" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Old Friends Not Forgotten" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "The Phantom Apprentice" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Shattered" (S7)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars – "Victory and Death" (S7)
These 22 episodes follow the character of Fives, one of the Clones, throughout the war between the movies “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith.” The Season 7 episodes do not feature Fives, but the consequences of his previous actions.
Either way, start with S3 Ep 1.  Not sure why the earliest one is in the third season, but it is worth it. (Indeed, here is the CHRONOLOGICAL order of episodes, still not sure why outside of “never been chronological or complete” https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder.)
If you want to strike a middle ground here, watch the Fives storyline, and add these three important Ahsoka storylines, that is also possible! Just interspace them with the above list:
Season 2, 5-8: Second Battle of Geonosis.
Season 3, 15-17: The Mortis Gods
Season 3, 21-22: Padawan Lost
Season 5, 17-20: The Wrong Jedi.
OR after S4 Ep10, just continue to watch season 4 through 7.  There’s almost no dud in there.
The last four episodes of season 7 take place in and around “Revenge of the Sith,” and may themselves be one of the three or four best Star Wars movies.

Shoutout to that one time in tcw when someone saw a shadow of a Tooka cat and thought it was Ahsoka approaching
Love that the one most concerned about not blowing up is the droid
Ahsoka be like: "Im already dead inside, just do it"
Hm, I am curious about these dark jedi though. Like the girl still has the padawan braid so they actually do follow some of the teachings beyond the lightsaber techniques I imagine. What better narrative foils to Ahsoka than jedi who have also renounced the order but actually turned to the dark. Can't wait for that parallel to get brought up
This whole sequence in Correlia with the shipyard officer feels so much like clone wars. Like idk what exact episode, but a scenario where the heroes are being toured by double crossers definitely happened
Hera just doesn't sound like Hera to me? I feel like Vanessa would deliver these lines differently. Like it's defenitely similar and I could see myself warming up to it, but my inner Hera voice is not lining up with this Hera
Suprisingly, not having that problem much with Ahsoka. I feel like Rosario Dawson is a good fit for adult Ahsoka though I miss Ahsoka's sassy energy. But that has been mostly lost since rebels which makes sense in that she is older and hardened now but it does make me a lil sad.
"These people dont care about politics, just who is paying them" now that is a sentiment I'd love to see explored more since that is not the impression I got from most civilians under the empire who weren't uber rich and powerful but I guess we have Andor for that
Oh Sabine is the one who is not ready eh? 🤔
The more they tell us about Sabine and Ahsoka's dynamic the more I'm vibing to it??
Yes please give me two disasters desperately trying to cope with the loss they've endured by being disasters together.
Huyang really said "yeah your force abilities suck but could be worth a shot eh?" 😂😭
Hera and Huyang seeing these two absolute disasters and trying to get them to reconnect so they hopefully become less of a disaster is so funny to me? They're the real homies
Protocol droids being clueless to nuances going on around them has to be one of my fav plot progression bunnies in star wars
Ahsoka who has bodied inquisitors brutally before: "oh no a double bladed saber oh nooo"
Them shooting at that inquisitor that Ahsoka follows step by step is so silly
If you didn't care that you hit your own dude, just shoot some more at them so you actually hit them or don't at all
Hot take, but I'm gonna miss Sabine's long hair. The reddish orange and purple looked real good
Wish I made a bingo for this show cause "rebels epilogue shot gets remade" would've def been on there lmao
"It's more me" 🥺
I just realised the real threat to Ahsoka in this show is not any force user or Thrawn or whatever.
It's that she's taken on the role of mentor, a dangerous profession to have in any media but especially star wars
"Her determination is vivid" NO WAIT ANAKIN SAID THAT TOO IN TCW S3 FINALE. I LOVE THAT MOMENT 😭

Note
Do you ever struggle in writing or retelling events from canon? I know IA follows a canon storyline, and lately in my own writing I've been struggling because my fics follow canon but it feels so heavy to write it. I'm always insecure that people will just skip through my writing because if it's canon-compliant then that means the readers already know what happens. I hope I'm making myself clear, I feel like I'm rambling a lot.
Anyways, my concrete question is if you ever struggle in retelling events of canon, if it ever feels tedious for you, and if so, how you work through it.
Love your work and everything you do, btw! Hugs!
Thanks for asking! And honestly - yes. Chapter 2 of IA was the only chapter (so far) told directly with a plot from the Clone Wars series and it was the hardest to write for that reason. I had written two earlier scenes that I chose to cut out that went with exact dialogue of the episode but I chose to cut it because it just wasn't interesting to read. I twas literally sprinkling Talia in and giving her some lines to show she was there. I made the choice to start the chapter later, and there's still some exact scenes from the episode but limiting it was a better cohesive choice to me.
But there are ways you can tell canon compliant fics that still keep the readers hooked. One thing is, the Clone Wars is an anthology series. It skips around, the stories aren't always cohesive so you can fill in the gaps as you please and as fit for your story. And for things that are canon complaint, if they have OCs or Reader inserts involved there is the unknown of what will happen to them - like I have told people from the beginning that IA will be canon compliant and i'm at the point where I have some folks sweating in their shoes as they wonder what will happen to Talia once Order 66 happens, because I haven't told anyone. There are so many ways to work storie sinto canon storylines and still keep things unknown and interesting. I also feel like it keeps me on my toes as I'm reading fics and catch that something major is about to happen, but the characters don't know it.
So if you want to write things that connect to already existing scenes, arcs, or moments, I think it's important to judge what is vital for your readers to see. You don't have to retype every moment; a quick synopsis can fill the reader in and refresh their memory for what point you're at. And if you want to have your character in a scene, try and add whatever you can to show why they are an important addition to the scene and not just a passive insert (transfer some dialogue to them that another character said or add more lines, give them some action and a conflict that is their own in the scene.) I know i'm about to do it again with another Clone Wars Arc, so I'll probably have to pay attention to my own advice.
