In those isolated batfam AU, batfams are always so tightknit. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that, but consider this:
Their intra conflict is there, but when they face potential threats/meddling from people who don't know Gotham but feel like they can just come here and get involved, everyone suddenly decides that the lesser of the two evils is each other.
They have a meeting in the bat cave to try to reach an agreement among themselves so they can build an image of a perfect team with a well-oiled dynamic. Five minutes into it, Tim and Damian are having a fist fight. Bruce, Dick, and Jason are having a three-way shouting match. Cassandra and Duke are in conflict with themselves about whose side they should take, if at all. Stephanie is nowhere to be found. Barbara is gathering more information from the shouting match to use later. This is the first time since forever that more than three of them are in the Batcave at the same time.
They are all perfectly in sync with each other when it's time to confront an outsider.
----------------‐
Flash: Anyone from their group can speak for them all! It's like their minds are connected!
Batfam: We already discussed everything imaginable beforehand and have a 20-page long condition everyone needs to remember, so we don't need to discuss anything in front of other people. Someone was stabbed in the process.

Wonder woman: They know each other so well. What a good comrade!
Tim and Jason: Know everything about each other because they stalk each other. Respect for privacy is a myth.

Reread the webtoon My In-laws Are Obsessed With Me and I only want to take the cursed blood and slam it on the batfamily. For all of it to make sense it would have to be a no capes au.
Thomas and Martha unknowingly unleash a curse upon Gotham that didn't begin until they died and paid with their blood. Their killer took a bit more time with Bruce and punched him across the jaw making blood spill from his lips. Bruce sees his hand reaching for him again and just lunges at it. Sinks his teeth thoroughly into his hand making the man scream and pulling him away to throw at the ground. The man pulls out his gun and aims only to drop it and Bruce watches as he claws at his chest and writhed while choking on his pain until he stills. And so Bruce is the first to gain the cursed blood.
Obviously they (Bruce and Alfred) don't know at first that Bruce's blood is toxic. They find out when Alfred forces Bruce to spend some time outside and a squirrel catches his attention. Against Alfred's wishes, and while he went inside for a moment, he holds out his hand with a nut that the squirrel quickly eats. It checks his hand for another and finding nothing it just bites him. He yelps as he pulls his hand away to look at, but movement catches his eye and he looks up to see the squirrel shaking on the ground and then stop. It reminds him of that night and he's crying when he turns around and there's Alfred who crouched down to hold him, but keeps a hand around his wrist to keep at a distance.
To make sure of what he saw Alfred catches various bugs and small animals to test with Bruce's blood. All died. He tells Bruce and from there they make sure to hide it from all. He teaches him how to defend himself, how to keep others at a distance, and dress in fully covering clothes and gloves. Years pass.
Alfred has gotten into the habit to keep an eye out for entertainment and such that can be partaken from afar to go with Bruce. The circus is in town and his boy has time for the last day of it.
After this my mind just bounces around with the fact that each of the batkids get cursed blood before they come to Bruce. Because after laying dormant for a while the curse comes out and affects one person in Gotham then the next. Just speeding up after Jason and then laying quiet for a long time until Terry and Matt.
I want them traumatized so maybe Dick, Jay, Tim, Steph and Duke are the cause of their parents death. Barbara being an outlier and getting cursed blood after getting paralyzed as an adult and kidnapped with a Wayne (Jay I'm looking at you). Cass being found after she's been using her blood as a tool to survive the streets and hates that she does. Damian joining the family and not having cursed blood at first. They find out when he had a small cut on the palm of his hand that Ace licked and he watches the dog die in front of him and his family.
For the sake of my heart this is an isolated batfam idea. Meaning the only ones not affected by cursed blood are others with it. They only have each other because they at least know they can't die because of them. And they don't suffer from their blood so no random seizures because their own blood hurts them too.

To most people in the world, Gotham is a myth. A hidden, cursed city populated by the worst criminals fleeing justice, the most desperate of victims, and the most esoteric of creatures a seeking a place where they can live openly. It is rumoured that Gothamites have their own moral boundaries, disturbing to the rest of the world. Some scholars speculate that the myth of Gotham originated from early Celtic colonists; a particularly dark rendition of the fair folk that eventually gained a more modern touch.
The residents of Bludhaven, New Jersey strongly suspect that these myths have some truth to them. No matter what they might claim or deny to tourists who arrive searching for their mythical neighbours, everyone who lives there long enough has an anecdote of when reality was just not right. A field seeming a much longer walk than it should, something or someone that was there and then not, a spot that they swear just gives them chills. And then there were the strange visitors, somehow uncanny, who would say the most out of pocket things. Metropolans can sometimes corroborate about the odd, bewildered tourists. There are even rumours that Wayne Enterprises, a large tech company headquartered in Bludhaven, imports outside goods into Gotham, but these have never been proven.
Clark finds the Gotham folklore fascinating, even if a bit morbid. While Bludhaveners are the ones of take things to a superstitious level, most Metropolans, he's learned, are also quite familiar with the myths and rumours. Lois has mentioned playing games in elementary school with themes like escaping Gotham, or the 'it' person instead being named as the 'Gothamite'.
He's quite surprised when Zatanna responds to his musings with amusement, "Oh Gotham is very real. I studied warding there for a bit in my twenties, as one of a small cohort of Outside students. Disturbing place with some very weird and occasionally fucked up customs, but to the people there that's just normal, and Outsiders are the ones who are weird." She shakes a queasy look off of her face as Clark gapes, "The architecture and flora was amazing though, very unique. They go to great lengths to ensure that we don't bother them and they're very happy to be considered a myth. Though when you actually end up there they can be surprisingly friendly, despite their paranoia."
It doesn't seem like she's lying, Clark observes. God, if it turns out Lois' childhood boogeymen are actually real, he can't wait to see the look on her face when he tells her.

Danny has been reincarnated.
Which was an odd thing to realize, it wasn't even a slow one he just... snapped into it one day. One moment he was staring at a wall out of boredom the next, well, he was staring for an entirely different reason.
It was a task for his now young -he thinks around three years old?- mind to work its way through the memories, but it wasn't like he had much else to do honestly. So, what does he know?
His name is Danny, like, his actual name and not just a moniker. He was once a halfa and he already knows he's going to be missing invisibility and intangibility. He, well, died. For like, a second time which actually makes sense because reincarnation-
Anyways.
He was a clone of two people from this thing called the Justice League which, weird name but probably some government or activist group. Wonder Woman and Superman. Which were pretty weird names to name your kids but eh.
He doesn't really remember much besides that from this life, or the one from before but he's an adult! He'll figure things out once he gets out of this containment tube thing.
Did he mention he was in a test tube? He's a tube baby now. He thinks? Or maybe it's more like he's being contained.
Whatever.
So he breaks out. Thank you apparent superstrength that he has no idea why he has but he's not going to complain! He then wandered around all of the other test tubes, able to remember just enough of English to see that yea, they're dead.
He probably was too, before he had memories zapped into him. Or a vegetable.
He then finds this really big container, checks it out, then opens it because the clone inside isn't dead!
'Project Match' it said. He'll just call him Match.
Was he thanked for helping him? Nope. You would think that he would be thanked or at least somewhat respected for saving this guy but nope!
He was, quite literally, held up by his leg and dangled in the air. Who dangles a three-year-old?! Well, he was technically and adult but still! The next few things were a blur but after pulling off the old Fenton charm he found him and Match outside as he tried to stop him from attacking random people.
Luckily the charms and privilege of the youngest (he's assuming he's the youngest, because he's physically three) was more than enough to get through to him. Sure, the guy couldn't form words, really aggressive for literally no reason, really weird but also absolutely cool looking eyes. But he worked around the first issue by developing their own personal language from like grunts and stuff, the second he once again used his youngest privilege to boss him around and the third a pair of sunglasses easily fixed.
He just had to steer Match clear of those random S crest mark thingies. Which was a weird thing to hate but hey, he's not there to judge.

Dick and Jason talking on a rooftop
Dick: So you just, like, told that crime alley kid you guys are family now?
Jason: look Dick, if you don't like someone's family, you gotta become their family. If I'm those kids' big brother, then I know they have at least one family member who cares about them.
Dick: You're turning into your father
Jason:
Jason: I will give you 5 seconds before I beat you to a bloody pulp
Batman: *suddenly standing over them* You will do no such thing
Jason and Dick:
Tumblr media
Jason and Dick: *both hanging onto the roof, trying to pull themselves up*
Jason: I can't believe you summoned him
Dick: Me? It was you and your 'beat you to a bloody pulp'

I've seen a lot of Batfam meets the Justice League fics where Batman has hidden his family. I'd really like a Batfam meets the Justice League fic where he doesn't try to hide his family no. The Batman who loves scaring people, popping out of shadows, disappearing into them, and overall just fucking with people, the head of the chaotic Batfam, he knowing that the other heros don't know a lot of what goes on in Gotham so he just pretends like they know. He tells them it's Oracle's system that runs watchtower and he make a bunch of vague references to the other bats knowing they are going to take it a different way. He doesn't try to hide his relationship with the other bats when his kids and their teams run into the Justice League. He just sits back and watches the chaos as the leaguers try to make their perception of The Batman fit with what they are seeing.
And his kids and their teams? Well they should have believed them when they said Batman was they're dad. It's not their fault they thought they were joking. Even Alfred is in on it making calls to watchtower and Titan's tower about being home in time for dinner and forgetting their lunches at home. Alfred is happy how this is bringing them together and that Bruce is making friends.
Meanwhile the Hero community is scared shitless about Batman's retired dad that doesn't have a no kill rule. They've never met him in person but the overall respect of the Batfam has towards Agent A as well as the fact he raised Batman makes them never want to meet him or for him to feel a need to come out of retirement.
***
"oh Batman isn't the head of the Batfamily"
"what?"
"Agent A is"
***
"who's scarier than Batman?", one of the leaguers asks rhetorically
Batfam member who pops up behind them from the shadows, "Agent A, he doesn't have a no kill rule"
"who's Agent A?"
"The man who raised Batman"
The leaguer who once referred to him as that old guy that answers the batcave phone: 😨

Tim’s self-isolation in the beginning of Red Robin is actually so funny to me because it hardly works.
Tim @ most of his friends and family: nobody contact me. leave me alone. I’m busy. don’t try to stop me.
Tim @ Cass: hey, wanna stay in contact? :)
Tim when Chris Kent asks him for help: I’m actually not Robin anymore so saving people is not my job. Oh her life is in danger? …okay fine but then I’m going back to my thing.
Tim when Kon finds him: I’m busy…Oh you need help? okay…let’s have an accidental heartfelt talk and then we can help each other with our latest emotional crises.
Tim when Dick calls him: don’t call me…ohhh, that seems serious. fine I’ll come to Gotham but then I’m going right back to what I was doing. *finishes up what he was doing* okay I’m back, let’s team up.
Tim when someone he’s never met ends up as the League’s semi-hostage with him: Hey when we’re done do you wanna travel for business together & maybe go on a date?

Chapter 8 of Jailbreaking the Local Cryptid, Just Your Usual Tuesday is up!
Seeing as this is the second to last chapter before the next work in the series, I thought I would share some of my reactions to yall's wonderful support!
My readers: Wow, this is awesome! I can't wait to read what happens next!
Me writing the whole chapter with no forethought a few hours before I post: .....yea....me too...
Me (was raised to think the entire internet was mean and I'd only ever receive hate): Cautiously posts a fanfic because I'm bored and I really like Cryptid BatFam
My readers: Sending loads of encouragement, leaving really nice comments with love and awesome ideas that I had never thought of and now realize would be perfect, and being super supportive
Me: 😭🫶 I don't deserve you
One nice reader who clearly knows their stuff: Gives some insight on the justice league and how they would react to the Court of Owls. And also speculate that since birds can't taste spicy stuff Cryptid Avian Robin loves spicy food because it doesn't affect him
Me: I didn't know that, but it is 100% canon now and you can rip that from my dead body. (Also yes, the JLA is totally going behind Bruce's back and are going to investigate the court)
I will be posting so art I did for this fic really soon!

Title: Amity Park: Untold Horrors
Fandom(s): Danny Phantom; Batman - All Media Types
Relationships, Characters: Danny & Sam & Tucker; Tim Drake-Wayne & Danny Fenton (but in a one-sided character & fan way)
Warnings: Gothic horror; found footage; analog horror; spooky vibes; eldritch danny
Summary: Tim clicked the link out of curiosity, figuring he could give up ten minutes of his life to find out what was so interesting about 'Amity Park: A Brief History – Fenton's Final Project' that it had attracted over a million views in just one week. He had no idea of the research rabbit hole he was about to fall down. /// It started with an innocent school project, a video presentation posted online for ease of access. Danny had no idea it would lead him here...

I'm having angsty Jarro thoughts
Jarro loves Batdad and wants to be with him and to be his child in truth. Jarro dreams of being Robin – Batman’s favourite Robin.
But that can never be.
In a world where Starro the Conqueror attacked and mind-controlled New York City and, later, most of Europe, starfish – even ordinary Earth starfish – will be generally viewed with fear and anger.
Damian probably watches nature documentaries where conservationists desperately try to persuade people that starfish are gentle, beautiful creatures that don’t deserve the bad press they get and that are totally unrelated to those evil star-conquering starfish aliens. And still there are people who attack and kill (ordinary, earthling) starfish on sight.
So Jarro, on earth, at best would be some sort of public Face Of The Species, living proof that They’re Not All Bad. At worst, Jarro would face constant threats from people wanting revenge or fearing that it’s only a matter of time before the starfish reveals the evil within.
And even if this could be overcome, as the Only space starfish on earth and instantly recognisable, Jarro would have to make a choice: Bruce’s child, or Robin? Because both is not an option.
