I'm soo not using Procreate to animate characters but i was bored so here's a little something.

It'd make more sense if i animated the effects but i got lazy mb. Basically, i was just thinking that Will's healing can't possibly last long or be healthy on him. So... This spawned. I have a few more ideas i intend to make based on that thought but it'll have to wait after my project.

It almost seems like the rolling of the snowball in your hands is an absentminded movement, but it's very much intentional. Your eyes are training on the back of your boyfriend’s head—his bright red hair is a beacon in the bright white world around you. It’s so quiet you could hear a pin drop (or, alternatively, Saeyoung’s giggles as he sculpts the little snow Elizabeth the Third next to the snow-you and snow-him.

You’d be lying if you said you weren’t impressed at how quickly he whipped up snowpeople of everyone. Impressed, but not surprised. You think you even see Vanderwood a little ways back, isolated from everyone else, and you feel a stab of pity for the poor guy.

Working with Saeyoung can’t be easy, but he’s always been nice to you. Even up until the two of you ran away, you know deep down Vanderwood cared for Seven.

You shake yourself out of your thoughts, not wanting to get too caught up in the nitty-gritty of the situation when Saeyoung had it handled. You trusted him to protect the two of you, You know he can. You’re incredibly lucky for each and every day you get to spend at his side, even though you’re nearly always aware that each day could be your last.

But you chose this life when you chose him, and you would have it no other way.

And so, you show your love by winding up and throwing your perfectly crafted snowball as hard as you can at Saeyoung.

It hits him square in the back of the head, wetting his vibrant hair and sliding down until it hits the inside of his hood.

“Yikes!” he yelps, flailing his arms around his back as he springs away from snow-Elizabeth, “Enemy attack! God Seven is down!”

You laugh, already scooping up more snow and pelting him with your (much more sloppy) snowballs. Saeyoung makes a big show of gasping for air and pleading for mercy, occasionally playing dead and waiting for you to come over and poke him before smacking you with snow as well.

It doesn’t take long till the two of you are out of breath, your fingers ice cold but intertwined through your gloves.

“Want to head inside?” you murmur, kissing his snowflake-sprinkled brow, “We can have some of your very special hot chocolate.”

Saeyoung’s eyes light up and he gives you that big goofy grin you fell in love with.

“One thing first.” he whispers, the quiet of his voice exaggerated and theatrical.

And for a moment, you expect a snowball to the face, but he kisses you instead. It’s soft and sweet and tastes like an unholy combination of energy drink powder (which...now that you think about it, likely explains how quickly he crafted everyone out of snow.)

“Now we can go inside.” he laughs softly against your lips, scooping you up in his arms and carrying you inside, where you can be warm and comfortable with the one person you love most.

Venti/Barbatos x GN!Reader

The warning: Mentions of obsession, imprisioning in a sleep, manipulation, use of divine powers

Spoilers to Mondstadt Main Story

Povtober 2023, Day 8 [Masterlist]

Barbatos first met you, when Dvalin was corrupted by the Abyss. He was searching for his dragon friend to help him, when he saw another person, you. You were tending to dragons wounds and he seemed totally calm around you, unlike for the others where he acted hostile.

It immediately picked his interest, as he chose to hide and observe you for a little longer. He felt an invisible force drawing him to you, yet he decided to ignore it, to watch you longer whilst ignoring the painful sting in his heart.

When you entered the city for the first time, he planned your meeting to be as charming as possible, to lure you in and tell him all your secrets. The white pigeons surrounded him whilst he played his lyre, under a big statue of the Anemo Archon - Barbatos.

He instantly caught your eye, and he seemed to brighten even more for his crowd. After his performance he didn't wait for any applause like usual, but instead went straight to you.

You were so.. you, he never met someone like you before, so please, let him write a poem for you.

He quickly got charmed by you, firstly as a Barbatos and secondly as Venti.

Yet, he never told you about his feelings, no no, he wouldn't dare to. What if you would feel pressured to answer him and say yes, but don't even mean it? He can't have that, as a God of Freedom it's against his principles. That's why he found another solution.

As fast as he barged into your life, then as fast he made himself comfortable and at home, right by your side. You also couldn't help but start to feel comfortable around that goofy bard, which led you to trust him with all your heart, as he became your safe space.

But once you fell asleep on his lap, it was over. He wouldn't pressure you into doing anything, and yet he still created an alternative reality for you. A cage with the illusion of freedom, BUT it still had freedom, so everything was fine for him.

A reality, where you could do whatever you want, without the risk of being in danger. Despite the other people acting weird to you, you never really questioned it as Venti was always by your side, travelling the world with you, averting your attention from everyone else.

You never got bothered by your fuzzy memories, not when you have a companion who can make you feel better in an instant.

He never told you, yet he used his divine powers to stop your time, and took your consciousness into a place that never met the threats of the time.

When you finally fell in love with him, and was willing to stay with him forever only then he ended the sleep, but in a way that you never knew you were in a sleep at all.

He manipulated you and the situation into making you believe that yesterday you confessed to him in the Stormterror's lair, and he graciously accepted it. You both were on your way home, and this is where playing with this fake reality ended.

When you woke up in your bed in the next morning, you were in a real world again, but it's not like you knew about it anyway.

Venti looked just the same as 'yesterday', but why did everyone else look much older? Did you missed something? Why does the Mondstadt look different? You didn't know, but thinking about it was giving you deadly migraines.

Your new lover was now happily comforting and massaging you, knowing that you chose him from everyone else with your own freedom of choice.

He's so glad you decided to offer him all your freedom, to him, to your God. Oh you didn't? Not yet then.

What was he mumbling about? Oh, don't mind it, it wasn't important anyway.

First fic with Genshin Impact characters in Povtober 2023 AND in total. That's a great feat Venti💚 It was really hard to find his pic that would show his personality as both Venti and Barbatos, but I think I managed it well💚 If this work have any grammar mistakes, I'm going to fix them this weekend, See you soon 🔜

I wonder what it would be like for Splinter if he fell in love? This isn't an xreader thing, for obvious reasons. It's just a scenario I haven't really seen explored for his character, and I'm curious how you'd portray it.

Hello! I wasn’t sure which version of Splinter you wanted, so I did both! Also, I could write a splinter x reader if someone requested it (not sure what you meant by 'obvious reasons' /lh), I did not make this one a splinter x reader tho ^^

2012 Splinter

Oh Hamato Yoshi, a man of so little yet so many words-

It takes him a bit to actually fall in love

He is hesitant about pursuing another romantic relationship

Is genuinely traumatized from his last one

Rightfully so, he saw his wife die, daughter as well (or so he thought for years) all at the hands of someone he onced called his brother- only to get mutated soon after.

Yeah… not a very good experience…

But when he falls, he is absolutely devoted to his person

He is very formal, approaching his crush in a gentlemanly manner

Is kinda old fashioned

The type to bring flowers and open doors for his partner

When he was with Tang Shen, he ended up losing sight of what was important

And became very distant and dismissive

He knows better now, and makes sure to go out of his way to pay attention

He does still struggle though,

Often choosing to meditate over quality time

As his relationship grows, however, he becomes better at being present.

Makes sure to set time aside for his partner

He doesn’t mind doing whatever, but he does prefer quieter activities-

A drama show perhaps, or drinking tea together.

As he becomes more relaxed in his relationship-

His playful side emerges

And surprisingly- he can be very goofy

I mean- he has a cheese phone in a glass case. He chose that. It’s meant for serious emergencies- you can’t tell me he wasn’t making a joke about his current mutation.

He tells dad jokes- really corny ones too

And his laugh is a full-on belly laugh where he throws his head back

He enjoys making his beloved laugh,

Will sometimes even ask Michelangelo for any new jokes to tell!

Overall, he's very sweet, goofy and old-fashioned with his partner,

He is also incredibly protective- perhaps a bit over protective

But considering the fact that he and his family are being hunted down by the man who killed his last wife-

His over protectiveness is warranted.

Does NOT take chances- if his beloved is captured, he is going there and demolishing anyone who gets in his way.

Makes sure his beloved is okay, before taking them home to curl up and watch some old drama show

Cheese-sicles included.

Rise Splinter

This may or may not come as a surprise-

But I honestly think it takes him a while to truly fall in love with someone

I feel like he has some trust issues

Definitely has high walls when it comes to relationships

Being a popular celebrity back in day taught him a thing or two about letting people get too close

Most people were usually only after him for his fame and fortune-

Looking to use him to rise to the top themselves

So he made sure to keep a decent distance

Until Big Mama of course

Which only made his trust issues 100x worse.

If he were to fall in love again, it would only be after a long time

There needs to be a very strong, and very solid foundation of trust

He would like to avoid being locked up and forced to fight to the death again, thank you very much.

On top of his trust issues-

He has major abandonment issues

If he ever went through with trying to have another relationship,

There would need to be a lot of communication-

Lots of working on and assuring him that his partner isn’t going anywhere.

As for his behavior??

He’s very avoidant in a rather outgoing way

It’s kinda weird to witness actually

The second he realizes he actually has romantic feelings for someone- he’s panicking

Tries to avoid them but also makes sure to be nice

He’s nowhere in sight whenever his crush is around but if they happen to catch him?

He’s chatting up a storm, sitting them down for a cup of tea or some food

Casually handing them a slice of pizza and once their attention is on it

Poof- vanished from sight once they turn around.

Once he starts actually giving a relationship a try though??

Man is whipped with a capital W

THE BIGGEST SIMP EVER

Quality time??? Physical touch???? GIFT GIVING??!?!?!!

His crush is getting it all

Quality time is an absolute must, he always wants to be around them no matter what it is they’re doing.

Knitting? He’s there.

2am snacks?? He already has their favorite

Movie time???? He made sure his projector is completely repaired AND made the couch the comfiest spot ever.

Loves to cuddle and hold hands, generally likes to be in contact with his beloved in anyway he can

Will even wrap his tail around one of their limbs if his hands are full

*cough* or if he’s too lazy to move from his comfy position *cough*

And on top of that?? He actually has decent money from his time as Lou Jitsu

He can and will have his sons help him figure out online ordering.

His beloved is getting any and everything they want

Only the best for them, he makes sure to buy top quality items

A lot of the gifts are an eyesore to look at though- his personal taste is…. intense…

Thankfully, his family helps him out.

Overall a very attentive, but clingy, partner

Will proudly boast about his beloved to anyone who asks (or doesn’t)

Has one of those wallets with the long long photo strips

He shoves them in everyone’s faces

when I first got into half life I was still very much a furry. so here have fur-life doodles Also yes this AU started out as a furry AU.

gina and gordon are both hyenas but gina is a striped hyena

vvv some lore and explanations for shit vvv

you may notice I didn't choose obvious animals for some characters. most people would probably make adrian a shepherd dog of some sort since his last name is literally shephard. I don't like using domesticated animals for furry designs tho. its too easy, its overused and kind of a weird concept if you think about it. how the hell were these guys domesticated. instead, I like to go for less popular choices and more uncommon animals. I chose a close relative of sheep for adrians design because i think its a bit ironic that the shephard is a sheep. also they have cool color patterns which I really like :D

as for gordon being a hyena, this was originally just a random idea I had. just tried choosing a cool animal. but when I developed this idea I realized that I could do a lot more with this. hyenas are seen as scavengers that aren't very strong and they are also seen as not very intelligent cough cough the lion king cough cough this is completely false. spotted hyenas are highly intelligent and social creatures and they take down their own food for the most part. they are strong. have you seen their jaws?? they are capable of breaking bones with their bite. I wouldn't dare to mess with one. the more I thought about this the more I felt that it was very fitting for the guy that is considered a goofy idiot by most of his coworkers (every fucking scientist at black mesa seems to treat him like hes just an intern and like he has 0 skill) to be a hyena. hes completely misjudged by everyone around him. and during the resonance cascade he showed the world that everyone was wrong about him. at the same time, his actions might've strengthened those stereotypes in some people that saw him. I mean, he kind of did turn into a killing machine back there. even if he was saving my life I would be wary of him. you just cant trust someone that kills without hesitation. the resistance might also be more divided in their opinion about him (something I'm still keeping for my AU because the canon resistance is boring as fuck sorry) and not everyone thinks he is the savior of mankind.

also like, LOOK AT HOW SPOOKY THAT LOOKS

gina is also a hyena because during development she was literally just female gordon. like, she was supposed to be the female player choice. to keep that theme at least somewhat i made her a hyena aswell. to make her design more unique i made her a striped hyena though.

colette is a lynx (a siberian lynx in the doodle but I later decided on her being an iberian lynx instead)

alyx and barney don't have that much story behind their designs aside from me wanting to have an avian character and not just a bunch of mammals.

eli is also a cheetah obviously and i was thinking of making kleiner something like a slow loris cause they look funky and he is very funky

also on a side note: gordon furreemans head looking like a radiation symbol was an accident at first because i was trying to draw him more cartoony and then I noticed this and now he has a radiation symbol for a head. also that doodle is where my current angular lookin style originated.

YEAHHHH I'll do both of these questions for both of these ships. I cannot be Stopped. ONCE again this got way too long so.. answers under the cut! [questions from here!]

JUNICRANE / STARSTRUCK:

9. soulmates by fate/chance or by choice? I think they're soulmates by choice! They had to work hard to get where they are right now...They didn't think they were destined for one another, especially with the circumstances of their first meeting (for Reggie at first, it was all but an impossibility: an actor falling for one of his fans? That's ridiculous! and a Zoraxis operative falling for an Agency handler..........)

When they saw each other as equals, when Juniper actively makes amends, that's when they felt things finally click. I think they'd both find it special because of the work they both put into getting closer to one another.

16. three to five non-sexual acts of intimacy. I think at the start Juniper would be the type to buy a lot of gifts for his partner...but since he doesn't have that amount of money by the time he finds Reggie (in my head) I think he finds intimacy in talking about anything (like flowing discussions), doing chores together, and sharing things about himself. Being open about himself and his interests is a struggle, but he finds Reggie so comforting he allows himself to be...well, himself! It's nice. He also likes the rhythm of domestic life To Be Honest. He could be physically affectionate too, like he's a bit touchy-feely with Reggie. He quickly finds that doing this without a script is infinitely more enjoyable.

Reggie, on the other hand, also likes to talk and talk and talk about anything and everything, so at least they're both enjoying that. The thought that Juniper's actually listening to him makes him feel content. Once in a while he'll vent to Juniper--it's a little strange, but Juniper reassures him that he doesn't mind...before he starts to trash-talk whoever Reggie's having trouble with (reassuring...?). He's also very big on cooking/baking stuff for people he cares about, so he does that a lot for Juniper.. his calories....And of course, the classic: falling asleep together in each other's arms. Lol and lmao look at these gay guys

ROXANIX / KINETIC MOCKTAIL:

9. soulmates by fate/chance or by choice? Soulmates by fate, in the sense that they were each other's fated rivals (what's more homoerotic than kickstarting each other's character arcs lol), but the road to friends and lovers was chosen on purpose. They chose to stick together and save each other.........like COME ONNNNNNN!!!!

Obviously it took some time for Prism to get around to that point, but for Phoenix it was a faster choice, more for the fact that they don't have an ounce of vengeance against her.

16. three to five non-sexual acts of intimacy. For Phoenix, it's spending time to understand Prism's interests so they can help her work. They're her little science assistant :'3 It's a little slow-going for Phoenix, but they understand the important parts..........well. kind of.........BUT they're trying okay?? There's also an added bonus of listening to Prism's sweet sweet voice while she infodumps on them, which they love to bits. Additionally, they lovee trying to pull Prism back into bed so they can cuddle more (and also it's an effective persuasion technique for Prism to get more rest than she allows herself to). They're also quite silly goofy, I feel like they love cracking jokes and making Prism laugh. The corny ones get her the most and Phoenix is always so proud.

For Prism, I mentioned it earlier but generally being able to infodump about her interests is something she considers really intimate, and she appreciates that Phoenix listens to her every word. Her passions have been either rejected or used against her, so it's hard for her to find comfort in that again. But...she trusts Phoenix. Phoenix trusts her. It's okay. She also likes to return their warm ass cuddles. They both do this a lot, Prism more so--she kisses their scars a lot...reverently, like a reminder that she loves every inch of them. I feel like Phoenix is still a little insecure about them but that melted their fears real quickly. She's also very big on comfortable silence as well... just chilling. you know. after all the horrors they both deserve a relaxing time in one another's presence.

I fell out of the Danganronpa fandom for a bit and unfortunately I am back in it at full force, possibly more than before since I now created a Tumblr account for my favorite character.

My head canons under read more i honestly just wanted somewhere to put them lmao only read if you wanna, but I love seeing others headcanons so if you want, feel free to share your own! I know there aren't a lot of Danganronpa fans anymore but ya know the hyperfixation chose me, I didn't choose it.

Byakuya is genderfluid and gay and on the aroace spectrum because I said so and I'm not projecting. And makoto is a bisexual trans man and his transness helped byakuya realize that he is ALSO trans and sometimes likes to wear more stereotypically "feminine" or gender neutral clothing. And they're gay together, your honor.

Kyoko is biromantic and she loves makoto romantically and Byakuya platonically (platonic soulmates!!!). They are poly cause I think kyoko and makoto together are way too lovely to ignore and also kyoko is such an interesting character. Kyoko helped byakuya come to terms with his asexuality since byakuya was raised to believe that he needed to mate with a bunch of women and reproduce. And of course she made him accept it through some discreet line of questioning and Byakuya had to just go in his dorm for the whole day and mind snowboard until he started to begin to accept it.

And Byakuya helped Kyoko and Makoto get together. Makoto and Byakuya were dating first and Makoto confessed to Byakuya one night about how he had feelings for both him and kyoko and he feels really guilty about it. Makoto expected Byakuya to be jealous but he was just like, "okay and why are you not with her yet, plebian?" Then they discuss polyamory and agree to let Kyoko into their relationship if she wishes to (byakuya knows that she is head over heels for makoto and Makoto is so oblivious to anyone liking him ever).

Kyoko says yes and they're both so in love it's sickening but Byakuya loves to see makoto so trusting of someone and getting to view from a sort of outsiders perspective the subtle things that makoto does when he feels safe around someone and truly loves them. Like how Makoto stands up for himself more and is more confident around his partners, or how he likes to play with kyoko's hair especially when he's thinking about something (bro stims we love to see it).

And kyoko notices how much less douchey byakuya is around makoto. Byakuya will often even get things for makoto or buy things that he knows he loves, even though byakuya always gives some kind of half-assed excuse as to why it wasnt purely out of kindness that he did it. Kyoko also sees how Makoto often ends up falling asleep in places that aren't his bed, and Byakuya will lift makoto up so gently as if he is some priceless thing and carry him to their bed. And he will tuck him in and bring him a glass of water (filtered, not tap) and sometimes he even kisses the top of his head if byakuya doesn't know that Kyoko is there watching (which only happens if byakuya is also extremely tired as well).

And kyoko and Byakuya love to go out to shop together and she helps him find skirts and dresses and stuff that fits him and they talk about makoto and how he's actually so smart and yet so oblivious at the same time like how is someone able to be a genius at deduction and yet forgets how a toaster works. They love to find clothes that they think makoto would look goofy in but makoto always ends up loving the clothes and he somehow looks GOOD in it. And they are always STUNNED. How does this man rock a fnaf crop top with jean shorts?

And both makoto and kyoko taught Byakuya that feelings do play some significance in life and it doesn't have to be facts over feelings (dude is NOT Ben Shapiro even though he sometimes acts like him). He learned that it's okay to be vulnerable at times when you're around those you can trust, though his walls do come back up sometimes when he gets angry or feels insecure about something. But Byakuya always ends up apologizing afterwards , even if it takes a few days.

And Byakuya learns to gradually accept hugs and other affection sometimes. He's pretty touch averse because of his upbringing and he finds that hugs often make him feel overwhelmed and trapped. But after a few months of being together with Makoto, Byakuya tells makoto about his touch aversion and how Byakuya will let makoto know when he is okay with physical touch such as hugging. Byakuya lets him know it's nothing against makoto and its not because he's a "commoner", he just didn't grow up with physical affection and finds that he gets overstimulated very easily from certain things.

omg well first of all I would be remiss in admitting that I sort of wrote this fic with Kris Bryant and Brandon Crawford, when I was deep in my Kris Bryant Is A Giant thirst and very foolishly believed Farhan Zaidi did not want me dead in the delta somewhere, BUT it lacked urgency. also it's not very good. but it exists, as a time capsule...

Giants: I truly believe Patrick Bailey is so goofy in private that he doesn't know shit about fuck but he IS good in a crisis, so he cheerfully kisses the hell out of Brett Wisely when Brett begs him to play along to get this asshole off his back. (ig we're going rookies tonight.) conversely Joc Pederson would say fuck no bc I don't trust him and also the Rogers twins would be too confused to play along appropriately but their corpse-like pallor and dead-eyed stares would get the job done just the same. I love them. Anyway I chose Brett Wisely for A bc sometimes he reminds me of a nervous purse dog

Sharks: this was so hard bc I don't actually know who is on the Sharks...I think Oskar Lindblom is still a Shark?? and I think he would be in a club and some guys would get too weird about him AND! controversial opinion, I think he would turn to Mario Ferraro for help bc no one's fucking with a guy with no teeth even if that guy reviews bagels on Youtube. No wonder he was only fighting behalf of Marines in War of The Best/Paramount War until Shanks wasn’t there! He was doing the bare minimum job of a warlord and had absolutely no interest to be tool of the marines!

Is it cool if I get a little personal? Let me tell you about one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to do: two summers ago, I got to see the Archaeopteryx fossil at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, which is also the only specimen on display in North America.

Trust me when I say that the stock clip art that I chose to obscure myself is 100% representative of the face I'm making here. If anything, the smile isn't big or goofy enough.

Here's a close-up and a diagram to show up-close what I'm actually looking at. Note the impressions of wing and tail plumage!

You've probably at least heard of Archaeopteryx: it's a transitional genus dating to the late Jurassic and the earliest example of what we could consider a "bird" which retains many ancestral "reptilian/dinosaur" characteristics.

Now, "bird" and "reptile" are kind of arbitrary words here because reptiles are a paraphyletic group. DNA tree-building models and sequence alignment evidence demonstrate that there's simply no way to define "reptiles" which does not also include birds; the definition of a "reptile" is a sauropsid that is not a bird. Thus, we know that all birds have a reptilian common ancestor because they arose as a branch within the sauropsid clade. Archaeopteryx is an ancient sauropsid with both avian and reptilian features; this is what we mean when we call it a transitional genus.

But why did this transitional fossil make me smile so big that my cheeks went numb? There are several reasons, I think:

Despite its transitional characteristics, most scientists consider Archaeopteryx the first bird in the fossil record. It was also the first direct evidence that birds evolved from reptilians (the first Archaeopteryx specimen was discovered just three years after On the Origin of Species was published). Just on a basic, fundamental level, this genus is of immense scientific and historical importance and standing next to it felt like meeting a celebrity.

The particular specimen that I got to see was super cool! Unlike most Archaeopteryx fossils, which tend to be preserved on their sides, this one is preserved on its stomach with its head in three-quarter view. Thus, it's the only specimen in which the palate bones are clearly visible, and it's tetraradiate (as in non-avian theropods) rather than triradiate (as in other avians.) The palate is one of the most important features in terms of saying, "yeah, we consider this a modern bird."

Its feet are also really well-preserved! The specimen I saw clearly demonstrates that Archaeopteryx didn't have a reversed toe, but does have a hyperextendable second toe. This means that unlike modern birds, it probably had limited ability to perch; instead, it had tearing claws like a dinosaur.

But even in contrast with other important transitional fossils - say, the Archeoceti of Wadi al Hitan in Egypt, which are amphibious ancestors of modern whales - Archaeopteryx is something special. There's a certain romance to the idea of the first bird: feathers that actually enable something like flight! (Like Buzz Lightyear, Archaeopteryxes' wings were probably used for "falling with style.") But still, there's beauty in Archeopteryx that we don’t see in other transitional fossils. In his poem "The Archeopteryx's Song," Edwin Morgan captures this glory far better than I ever could:

And like, that’s it, right? Obviously no Archaeopteryx could possibly have any concept of bird or dinosaur. No fifteen million year-old creature could have dreamed eagles or pigeons or penguins. But God did.

God knew from eternity that a creature called Archaeopteryx would exist. He knew that it would have a dinosaur’s sharp teeth and bony tail and yet wings and feathers to glide with. He alone could imagine a world in which creatures sharing a close relative with Archaeopteryx would have more feathers for the life to come; that the lords of the skies would be in the next egg’s next egg’s next egg.

He knew that Jesus would tell his disciples to look at birds when they were worried; that Gerard Manley Hopkins would write a poem dedicated “To Christ our Lord” in which he extolled “My heart in hiding/ Stirred for a bird, – the achieve of, the mastery of the thing!” God knew that the albatross, so like and yet unlike Archaeopteryx, would live its life on the wing, flying over oceans ten thousand miles at a time, and that Samuel Taylor Coleridge (a devout Christian) would write a poem in which an albatross was Christlike, and that C.S. Lewis would write a book in which an albatross was Jesus and whispered courage to a little girl in the dark. God knew that one day, in the summer of 2021, I would stand beside this fossilized evidence that Archaeopteryx really lived, staring and squinting to see all its features, grinning like an idiot and thinking, “Do you imagine I am ever going to crawl again?”

Anyways im gonna use this as a chance to work on and practice my writing skills because i wanna write a fic at some point.

[This references my old other drabble a few times so sorry if its confusing if u haven't read that]

"..you didn't, please tell me you didn't."

Error was nearly doubled over in his laughter in response to Ace's reaction. He hadn't expected them to react that strongly to his sudden and totally not alarming statement.

"Pft, naw don't worry stitches. I haven't done anything, those are old allegations" he huffed unnecessarily before finally turning on the true crime documentary they had chose that started the conversation in the first place.

".... if I didn't already know everything about you I'd say that doesn't make it any better, hun," they said exasperated " that and it'd be pretty hypocritical at this point."

"Awww me offin' a few guys isn't enough to be a deal breaker? The 'Destroyer of worlds' not scary enough for ya?"

They snorted "nope, not happening. Our deal's been dealt and done for years, you're not getting rid of me that easy."

Error groans dramatically and flops backwards even more onto the giant beanbag somehow, one arm covering his face while the other falls behind Ace's shoulders.

"My tough guy persona, ruined! What will they say about me now? Destroyer turned stay at home h-husband?"

Ace loses it at that, documentary forgotten, as they fully turn to face him and lightly pat him while wheezing. He lifts his arm to frown at them, but the slight crinkle near his sockets and upturn of the corner of his mouth shows he's not actually upset.

"And you laugh at my predicament! How dare! You're the one who did this to me!" He continues his silly monolog. He scoops them towards him with his other arm as they collapse into more laughter, hand curling to resting his distal phalanges on their choker.

"You fucking goof! You did it to yourself! You're the one who wanted it so much you asked twice!!"

"Hey that second time was just as much you as-sking for it as I was!"

Both let out their own barks of laughter, settling into eachother to get comfortable. Ace lifted a hand to lightly grab Error's necklace, fidgeting with one of the dangling stones.

"..yea, and I would do it again.." they said softly looking him in the face, before switching to a deadpan expression ".. though preferably under different conditions next time."

"W-hey! That wasn't my fault! Those s-star bastards are the one's who kicked us-s out of our home!"

Their expression broke and they patted him reassuringly "I know I know, just .. make sure it doesn't happen again please? That place sucked and I never wanna see it again"

"U-ugh, agreed. No nex-xt time, if there ever is one, I'm gonna be exxtra careful about where we decide to hole up."

"Alright I'm gonna keep you to that, now, back to those murder allegations?"

In the next room over Cross and Skull are preparing dinner and snacks for group movie night while listening to commotion coming from the living room.

"...are they talking about, what I think they're talking about?"

"They're...second wedding? .. yea. It's..kinda a funny story.."

"...oh"

Skull snorted as Cross went purple but didn't say anything, picking up the salad bowl and stirring slowly as more muffled conversation flows through the door.

"They're flirting sucks, do they really enjoy listening to him brag?"

"Like...your any better...."

Cross' flush comes back even brighter as he faces Skull with indignance. He goes to respond but is swiftly cut off.

"No need to... try and show how tough a guard you are.... They're not into that.."

Cross deflates "They're, not? But then why-"

"They like soft 'soft goofy guys'.." horror says softly, not turning to look at Cross as his own cheekbones gain some light coloring "trust me.. I used to be in the same postion..when I first dated em.."

Ah that's right, Cross may be the current newest addition to the relationship, but before him that was Skull. He understands not being sure if he really fits in the relationship when the other two have already been together [not to mention married] for a while already.

"Don't worry about.. them liking you. You wouldn't be here if... if they didn't.." skull continues " not a lot of people...can convince Error to do anything...even Ace sometimes can't. But ..he ..wouldn't do anything to actually upset them... even he knows how much..they care about you..."

Well then, now Cross is blushing for reasons other than embarrassment. He can't exactly argue with that logic. He and the semi-retired destroyer may not get along, but he does realize he wouldn't be here at all if Error didn't think he was needed.

He doesn't know where this universe they've all started living in is and he doesn't really particularly care, but he has a sudden newfound appreciation to be included in the living space he so often feared he encroached on.

He just nods briskly in response. They spend the rest of dinner preparation silent, just comfortably sharing the space together, falling into the familiar motions.

Cross still has some doubts bouncing around his skull [heh] as they finish up, but they wash away once they enter the other room. The face Ace gifts his presence with says more than anything and he allows one onto his face in return as he settles into the couch next to Skull, passing them their bowl over the arm of the couch.

Yea, he has his place here.

As soon as the five from the Worst Generation had made it up to the roof of Onigashima’s Skull Dome, Law knew there was going to be a need for rearrangements. There was no way they could make it work with both Kaido and Big Mom as their opponents at the same time. They needed to separate them—leave Kaido to Luffy and then do something about Big Mom and Kaido’s men; the only issue was how.

How convenient Kaido chose the roof of all places to do this.

Of course they weren’t lucky enough to get Big Mom to fall into the sea but really, anything worked as long as it was elsewhere.

Grabbing onto Zoro’s lifeless, battered body, Law created a room. He glanced up, taking in Kaido’s body lying on the ground before his eyes turned to Straw Hat. He was standing tall, glaring down at Kaido as if he didn’t just get up from being knocked unconscious himself. There was power radiating off him, the air thrumming with his haki.

The contrast to his usual goofy demeanour would never stop surprising Law but… it was one of the reasons everyone came to believe in him. Looking at his back, seemingly both incredibly far away, and right next to him—a comforting presence, always close, always warm—he knew Luffy would win.

And so, Law finally tore his eyes away from him. “I’m leaving you here alone and taking everything else, Straw Hat-ya!”

I trust you. Don’t you dare die.

Straw Hat replied immediately, voice calm, “Sure.”

Same to you.

Law huffed. Luffy didn’t speak out loud, yet he could hear his words clearly anyway. He was sure Luffy could hear him as well.

Taking a deep breath, Law closed his eyes momentarily. This was it.

“Shambles.”

Finding Big Mom downstairs was, unsurprisingly, easy. Even without her loud voice, following the greatest, most destructive tremors was almost laughably simple.

He ignored Kaido’s premature announcements of his victory—he knew just as well as the Straw Hats that there was no way Luffy would give up just because he got thrown off the battlefield—and instead approached the other Emperor. He wasn’t surprised to find Eustass already there, itching for a fight, but that was just as well.

It was certainly easier to take care of this monster with two people.

“All of you have so much blind trust in Straw Hat!” Big Mom laughed. Her voice was grating on Law’s ears, making him want to silence her. “But he’s dead now! What is the point of fighting?!”

Law felt a smirk pulling on his lips. Ah, how naive and assured of their own power the Emperors were. It was high time someone dragged them off their comfortable little perch. He was going to really enjoy the despair once they realised their time was over.

“As if I care about Straw Hat. This works great for me, I’ll just get to take you both down myself,” Eustass scoffed.

“We don’t have to explain anything to you,” Law noted, completely ignoring Eustass, before he slowly drew Kikoku and pointed its long blade at Big Mom. “But let me tell you one thing. You think you’re going to be the Pirate King? That’s hilarious.”

“What did you just say, you brat?” Big Mom growled, the sun behind her descending upon her and engulfing her hair in fire.

Law’s smirk only widened at her anger. Oh, he was going to make it so much worse. “There can only be one Pirate King—and that’s Luffy-ya.”

A beat of silence passed before—

“Hey, Trafalgar! I don’t care how disgustingly lovesick you are, I’m going to get the One Piece!” Eustass snapped as he turned to Law, teeth bared.

“Trafalgar… You have guts saying that to my face,” Big Mom laughed—a sound that was cold and completely lacking any sign of amusement.

How satisfying making people rage over a few simple words was. Law would never get tired of it. But maybe making Big Mom even angrier right now wouldn’t be the wisest. They should just get back to business.

“Eustass-ya, take it up with Luffy-ya later if you don’t want me taking care of her myself,” Law noted with a raised eyebrow. “Room.”

“Fuck the both of you,” Eustass growled back but turned away to face the actual enemy anyway.

Law wasn’t sure if he meant him and Big Mom or him and Straw Hat but… it didn’t really matter. He huffed in amusement for the last time before he turned his focus back to the matter at hand. He needed to get rid of this monster before she would decide to mess with Luffy’s fight upstairs. After all, it was only a matter of time before the rubber ball bounced right back. And Law needed to do his part in helping him up—

Up, until he reached the very top.

oh and about the friend fallout,, i don’t even feel bad nor do i think i want to reconcile ever because im just angry at how things were handled and it’s now clear to me that he lacks a backbone and the lack of communication and confrontation skills is somehow worse than mine,, all of my (three) friends r saying im not at fault but ill always feel like i was in some way but the gist of it was literally just that his partner told him that they thought i didn’t like them. and he kept that information to himself instead of trying to resolve the problem, he kept hanging out with me and talking me like normal because we were basically best friends (i can’t imagine being friends w someone if ur partner thinks theres animosity towards them regarding said friend) and i didnt know they thought that up until i brought up that the partner removed me as a friend on FORTNITE 💀💀 all this bc of fortnite……goofy ass…. anyway he went on saying like it seems it’s just a misunderstanding and they felt like you weren’t talking to them when we played together and i noticed other things too (didn’t tell me what the other things were) then we were just radio silent for all of april until i noticed yesterday he broke our mutual on ig so i finished the job, broke our tiktok and fortnite mutual so its basically over. im not sad over it because i don’t want to be friends with someone who’s in a codependent relationship and can acknowledge it and not see the problem with it… the whole thing feels very much like middle school drama we are GROWN mfs are ab to be in their 20s bruh…

If you could go back in time and change things, would you? Noo. I’ve seen The Back to the Future enough times to know it’s not worth it.

Do you like your smile? No. I used to not even think anything of my smile but for some annoying reason for the past couple years I’ve become aware of my smile and came to the conclusion that I don’t like it.

What made you the happiest today? I made homemade bread and it turned out perfect.

Who was the last boy you texted? Idk. My dad? lol

Do you get along with your parents? Yes. I’m not close with my dad but we get along perfectly fine.

Are you scared of needles? I’m not. I don’t know if this is a little goofy but I like getting my blood drawn. I like the little pinch it gives me.

Do you believe love can last forever? Of course.

Do you like the ocean? Hmmm, sure. I don’t have strong feelings about it but it’s nice.

Are you allergic to anything? If so, what? To penicillin. Also I get really particularly big bumps from mosquito bites.

Do you know anyone who is/was a drug addict? No.

What is currently the most tan spot on your body right now? I uhhh…don’t know. My skin color is equally distributed haha?? < Lol same.

What is your dream job? I have no idea.

Would you say you are ‘popular’? Nope. I honestly love that now. I like having only a small circle of people around me.

Do you tend to cave into peer pressure? No.

Have you lost anyone close to you? No one close to me has died. Except for our cat when I was about 10.

Would you say that you are an intelligent person? I think I have pretty good “social intelligence”. I can read people really well. I have a lot of thoughts and I always like to examine everything from different prespectives. But I’m not good at things like problem-solving, planning etc. I am a slow learner and don’t have the attentiveness to even learn.

Who was the last person to hurt you? My best friend.

Are good-byes easy or hard for you? Hard, because I get attached to people very easily.

Zoro/Luffy dynamic appreciation post

I think the reason why I love Luffy and Zoro's relationship so much is because of how Oda chose to present them.

I've always been a big fan of subtle yet deep relationships and that's essentially what zolu is. Their chemistry is not "loud" like the rivalry but deep respect with eo of Zoro/Sanji or the goofiness of Luffy/Usopp's relationship, nor is it "fluffy" and clearly implicate a big bro/lil bro relationship like Zoro and chopper has. It really wasn't a surprise for me that their ship isn't the most popular, but that's the beauty of them, is it not? When you see Luffy and Zoro together, it feels like a crossover between two different protagonists just happening to live in the same world. It's exciting but it never feels out of place.

What's fascinating about these two is that for the many parallels they have, particularly in how they approach their dreams, and even sometimes their reaction to conflict; they're also clearly distinct from each other. I also love the nuance of Zoro's respect for Luffy. On one hand, he wouldn't blink twice to do what Luffy wants (commands) him to do; but on the other, he also sticks to his standards/values/principles and this is shown at the end of the Water 7 Saga where he tells Luffy that if he doesn't step up to being THE captain of the crew- he will be next one leaving. I'm all for Zoro being deemed "the most loyal in the crew" since there's a clear emphasis to that, but I love that the author made Zoro assert his 'standards' to Luffy in that arc, because ultimately Zoro wants the best for Luffy; to be the best in his position as a captain. And if being 'assertive' was one way to make Luffy realize that, he will do it.

Often when we talk about zolu, the discussion always seem to center on Zoro's sacrifices for Luffy, and not so much the other way around. This is where the beauty of subtlety shines. Evidently, Luffy treats each member of the crew with love and care. People in the community usually say that Luffy treats them all equally, and I'm not saying that that is not true, this is fiction after all, but I also have the liberty to interpret their dynamics the way I want to because it's what I feel is real (and what's nice is I can actually back it up). I think the easiest way to showcase the faint difference in behavior that Luffy displays towards Zoro is the fact that he actually listens to him. He takes his words seriously. Yes, he trusts everyone in the crew to do their part, but when push comes to shove- it's Zoro that he expects to step up for him (i.e. Little Garden, Skypiea, Water 7 & Ennies Lobby). Not only that, but Luffy also teases Zoro, even downright insult him (like how sanji does) in some cases almost consistently throughout the series, and is that not odd? and the way Zoro responds to that too is even more odd (he just lets him😂).

One of the many ways I look at their relationship is this:

Luffy gives Zoro the privilege to be assertive towards him; Zoro gives Luffy the privilege to be his captain.

And I say this because Zoro- especially now that it's basically confirmed he has conquerors, despite being relatively on par with Luffy in terms of strength (and I'd even say charisma) decided that Luffy was worth offering his dreams to; that for Luffy, his pride is for naught that he would kneel and bow down to the man he swore to be greater than. These to me solidifies the fact that as much as Luffy chose Zoro to be under his flag, Zoro chose Luffy too (in the rawest way possible).

Their relationship shines even in silence.

I just—ugh. I love this ship, and I will continue to sail with it even after the story ends. I love that the people who ship them see just how precious and delightful their relationship is. And I really treasure the people who just gushes on how pure it is 😌

A Trio I Think About

Sometimes I look at that extra page that Hori drew of Tomura, Twice and Toga in UA uniforms

This one

And like it makes me wonder why Hori drew these three instead of Tomura, Toga and Dabi. I mean, the latter is the most popular trio, right? Everybody talks about them. Most fics focus on those three

But then it kind of made me think about how Twice, Toga and Tomura are shown in the series in comparison to Tomura, Toga and Dabi

With Tomura, Toga and Dabi, I think it mostly has to do with the fact Toga and Dabi were the first two who joined the League

Plus, y’know. This trio has a lot of potential for friendship interaction, that whole “learning to put your trust in people again” thing etc

There’s also the fact that Tomura and Dabi have this unspoken bond, where Tomura lets Dabi do his own thing, accepts him as he is (as he does with his whole League), and Dabi follows him wherever he goes

He also has quite a jokey-snappy relationship with Toga

It’s a relationship built on trust and acceptance with these two

Plus, there’s this connection as well

(I’m still convinced these two concocted a plan on their own or smthg)

And then of course we have Toga who only joined the League for Stain

And despite only just meeting, and Tomura calling her a freak, he still defends her

And then of course we have this lil moment in Kamino

Then that abandoned building scene, where Toga doubts Tomura’s leadership and he shows his face to reassure her and show that he won’t hide his intentions either

And she calls to let him know the details of what is happening with Chisaki

Then we have this in MVA

Followed by

And so on and so forth

Now, in no way am I saying people should stop talking about Tomura, Dabi and Toga as a trio, because I like them too! I love their potential together and I love that each and every part of that trio is 1) part of the Villains Who Are Set Up To Be Saved group 2) all of them are very important in the topic of “Heroes Fucked Us Up And Don’t Listen To Us”

But I also think about Tomura, Twice and Toga in correlation with that extra page at the top of this post, and why Hori chose to draw them together

Sure, Twice is comic relief too, so adding him into a funny drawing of the League being goofy is no big deal. But there’s also more to that and his relationship with Tomura and Toga

Toga and Tomura’s relationship alone is built on trust, as I’ve already talked about above

But continuing on to Toga and Twice, they have a lovely age-gap sibling dynamic, as well as being a comedic duo, that is so lovely to see. Their relationship is also built on trust, and they always support each other when they are in trouble or when Twice has an episode. They’re best friends!

And then when we look at Twice and Tomura, we see that Twice was promised a place where he could belong

But even after that promise, he’s met with Tomura’s decision of joining the Yakuza (without a proper explanation at first). And I’m not saying his trust wavered in Tomura at that point, but I’m sure it didn’t feel like it was a place to “belong” with “friends and allies” in that moment

(Tomura even walks past Twice, like his comment didn’t mean anything)

And then this, with Toga speaking her mind too

That Tomura decides to take off Father and show his face too, just like Twice did; it’s a sign of recognition. It’s a sign that Tomura knows that they are human, and he’s working to make this mission benefit all of them

Tomura takes off his mask just like Twice did his own. Tomura saw him do this and decided to show how much that meant to him

And then we have MVA, where Tomura continues to give him support and reassurance. It’s like after this moment in the abandoned building, he’s learnt to pay more attention to not just the League, but to Twice himself

Twice can’t duplicate the bullet, but Tomura is only focused on thinking about alternatives and trying to find something that works for their goal. He’s not mad at Twice, he’s already accepted that Twice can’t duplicate it and has moved on

Then we have

I also really love the part at the beginning of MVA where Tomura takes Twice’s mask as a way to get his attention and stop worrying

And then he puts it back on him

Idk man I just really love the idea of this trio

Tomura and Twice really connected with each other, and Toga has a sibling-like relationship with both of them. It’s really sweet!

Once again, this isn’t me saying “sToP LiKinG tHe ToMuRa, ToGa AnD dAbI tRiO”, because I really like them too

It’s just that I really think the Tomura, Toga and Twice trio is underrated and should be looked into as well. I love their potential and they really seem so close with each other :)

Then again, so do the League in general, but I’m just focusing on these three for the sake of this post

They really seem like the group of friends where Toga and Twice make their jokes and will be really silly, while Tomura is influenced by them and joins in too
