#tag talk#been playing a new minecraft world. went back to 1.12.2 to play Tektopia cause it's still hands down the best colony sim mod I've found.#and honestly it's a lot of fun to play without making big farms or anything. no elytra no iron farm no mob grinder just playing.#I did add the mod that gives you xp from harvesting crops because it makes enchanting gear way more accessible and I like it like that.#I also miss the old ore generation. strip mining isn't very fun so it's nice to be able to dig for all your ores in one place#having to dig for iron at ~y=0 and then dig a second time for iron at - 56 just fucking sucks. and deepslate is cool but sucks to dig throug#anyway yeah I've been just building a starter base first so I've got the resources to build and care for my town starting out#it's gonna be a forest vibe. town hall is gonna be up in a big tree in the center so I've been building that up rn.#oak logs + spruce planks really is pretty much the best combo ever. they look so good. I'm bad at making custom trees though so it's hard#idk what design I'm going for with the ground buildings. I haven't gotten there yet. I'm gonna lay out the paths first and then do buildings#get an idea of the shape of the town before I decide what the buildings are gonna look like when fitting in. lotsa leaf block hedges for sur#I also miss when fishing gave you better enchanted books. it was the best way to avoid having to do villager trading.#I got an autofish mod on latest version (1.20) and spent the entire night fishing with a maxed out fishing rod and got zero mending books#like. I don't want to be forced to do villager trading. they're trying to cut back and balance villager trading.#so why tf can't I get mending anymore. it's stupid.#I also put in a disenchanting mod that lets you transfer enchants from tools onto books so that's a good way to get mending from all those..#all those extra fishing rods and bows that fish up once you already have a maxed one.#I need to make a second rod without luck of the sea so I can fish up more lily pads. I don't need anymore enchanted books#anyway. by I'm gonna go snooze in bed some more

Muffin! It's ASP Inc, the conglomerate made up of the companies formerly known as Apple, Sony, and Pepsi-Co. Based on your credentials with prior projects, you've been conscripted again for another big budget Twilight media project! Probably the CEO is on drugs, but congrats on your $500m dollar budget.
Your task is to design a big-budget Twilight video game. "But I don't really play that many video games," you maybe say? Idk, the CEO doesn't seem to care and is maybe using this project for tax evasion, so your instructions are "Just make us a Twilight game with gameplay stolen from a popular thing like a Minecraft, Fortnight, Among Us, whatever the kids nowadays are playing. Maybe a Mario? Are Marios still a thing?? I played Oregon Trail on my mac once. Stick some story in it. Give it the Muffin treatment, kids like Muffins!"
Your project brief must include:
1) What non-story-based gameplay mechanic you're stealing ("It's like a Mario!") 2) What story set in the Twilight Universe (tm) you've decided is most game-able. 3) Where you're spending the big bucks.
Thank you and good luck! (I hope this is fun and not, you know, annoying)
That would be a very silly thing for them to do.
Caveat
Twilight already is a video game: it's a visual novel. You are Bella Swan, first person point of view, checking out hottie mchottie across the hall. You don't know it, but the wrong action you take, even if it's arriving in the parking lot late: you die.
It's up to you to find Bella's golden path to survival which is in fact the Twilight novels we know and love.
Ordinarily, I'm a big skeptic of medium jumps without much thought, especially to and from video games as they usually don't transition well. However, in this case, we're already there.
You don't even have to change that much of the narrative structure since it's all in first person and we have the visuals as we know exactly what everyone looks like down to what exact shade of red their hair is.
There's not much for me to do.
But That Will Never Fly/Isn't What You Asked For
It sounds like this merger corporation doesn't really understand Twilight or video games which is not surprising. So, I have to make a real person video game which is just like that thing the kiddos are playing.
And since I'm going to hell anyway: I'm making a Twilight game that's RDR/GTA styled and we're going wild.
You're Bella Swan going to high school but you can wander around the town of Forks/the world at large and do whatever the fuck you want. This often gets you killed horribly. You go to Mexico: you're eaten by vampires. You go to Alaska: you get fucked by vampires and have a wild time in their sauna. You go to Egypt: some guy named Amun locks you in a tomb where you hang out with Benjamin, Tia, and Amun's angry wife. You can take missions for the Volturi, which they never asked you to do, and every time you collect a bounty a Volturi member will give you a weird look and ask "what the fuck is wrong with you/why are you here?" but you'll earn in game rewards as they publicly shame you.
You can also get into affairs with your human friends and ruin Jessica's love life, go to Prom with five people, and so on and so forth.
You can also get involved in the La Push community where they stare at you for being this person who clearly doesn't belong and try to seduce Leah into a lesbian love affair with you. (This is a very difficult quest, Leah's not impressed and very confused and going through it with Sam right now). You get to hear all of people's drama that's going on in the side lines.
The actual plot is dating Edward, and somehow, he doesn't notice all your wild adventures because he can't read your mind and while he's been stalking you every time you leave the state he loses your scent.
Your missions are surprisingly difficult as you have to avoid death by Edward by saying the right things and avoid death by everything else in the universe by navigating Port Angeles correctly (shockingly hard as the rapists somehow corner you at every turn). You also get missions during the Hallucination Edward arc as you have to do increasingly difficult and dangerous things to get Hallucination Edward to appear at which point your player character gets sweet sweet endorphins.
In the online player mode, where you've probably become a vampire, you can engage in vampire warfare where the losing condition is you killed too many humans so the Volturi come to kill all of you.
And yes, of course, there is an honor system but you blow it yourself as Bella's honor plummets during New Moon when she has to endanger herself and others to see Edward.
The money's going into a) graphics b) the sheer open worldness allowed in the number of quests, the random events, and all that good points.
Conclusion
I imagine they ask me how I will market this game to Twilight's audience, who are presumably the only ones who will play this game, and I claim, "Young women love grand theft auto!"

Sonic Wildfire's Titanic build in Minecraft
Tumblr media
After three months of work, it's finally finished. The largest and most detailed build of my life is complete. Welcome aboard the RMS Titanic!
This build contains a fully fleshed-out interior including boiler rooms, staterooms, public areas, and the Grand Staircase. At more than ~120 blocks in height from keel to mast and approximately ~400 blocks long, this famed behemoth ocean liner can now be explored bow to stern from the comfort of your own computer.
The exterior design belongs to Richlarrousse and the interior was planned out by Pipkin06, both on YouTube. Comments are greatly appreciated!
The world download can be found below. Read further down for instructions on how to install the world!
These instructions assume you are using a Windows machine.
Make sure you download the ENTIRE folder! You will need the whole thing!
Once you have downloaded the folder, go into File Explorer and find where Minecraft worlds are stored. Typically, the path for this is as follows: C: > Users > [your name] > AppData > Roaming > .minecraft > saves. (Hint: if you can't find AppData, make sure you enable the option to show hidden folders in File Explorer by navigating to the top of your FE window and clicking the following: View > Options > Change folder and search options > Advanced settings > check the box next to "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" > OK)
Navigate to the location on your computer where you downloaded the world folder. Cut/copy the folder, then paste it into your saves folder.
If all goes well, you should see the world listed upon launching Minecraft and selecting Singleplayer.
Enjoy, and happy sailing!

Do you have any tips for an aspiring librarian who’s going to college in a few months?
my first instinct upon reading this ask was to give you some good but fairly generic advice about getting library experience via your school's work study program, exploring different career paths within the library umbrella, interning at your local public library if possible, and so on & so forth
but then i realized that that is the sort of information you can find pretty much anywhere & i will instead give you my personal insight into what has helped me be successful in my current library role.
do whatever weird shit you are passionate about with your whole heart & soul, because you will learn invaluable skills without even intending to
what i mean by all that is that my current position as the assistant manager of a small, rural library branch is really just twenty-nine different jobs in a trench coat. i'm alternately an it specialist, a graphic designer, a career counselor, a preschool teacher, a customer service agent, or whatever else a particular situation demands.
and so much of my current skillset is a result of spending my high school & college years doing random nerd bullshit on the internet.
i'm dead serious. my ability to troubleshoot basically any possible tech issue, my knowledge of graphic design software, my extensive research capabilities, my written communication skills, and my absolute certainty that if i don't know how to do something, i can figure it out if you give me fifteen minutes to poke around on google are all products not of my formal education or work experience, but of the countless hours i have devoted to online nerd bullshit
enjoy college. explore your passions. get super into modding minecraft, or archiving lost media, or formatting fanzines, or literally whatever niche nonsense speaks to you. librarianship is a career of quick thinking & problem solving skills, and you'll best develop those doing something you truly care about
in the words of the mountain goats, the things you do for love are gonna come back to you one by one

Minecraft Fishing Tarot Spread
Tumblr media
For Reasons, I designed a Tarot spread inspired by Minecraft fishing, and the four types of fish you can catch. It's proven surprisingly effective, so I figured I'd share.
The first card is The Fisher, and represents the querent (or you, if you're doing the reading for yourself). If the card makes sense for them, I usually don't include its meaning when I interpret the spread as a whole, but if it seems out of place, it's worth considering if there's something the querent isn't confronting about themself.
The upper four cards are the four types of fish in Minecraft, from most to least commonly caught, and they make up the most important part of the spread.
Cod is the most common, and in the spread represents common knowledge. This is usually going to be what's already known about the situation, but highlights what is important to pay attention to.
Salmon fills the most hunger, and in the spread represents what sustains us. These are the things that provide us with motivation to keep going, and it can be a reminder of what to keep in mind so you don't lose your momentum.
Pufferfish causes poison and hunger when eaten, and in the spread represents painful truths. These are the things we don't want to face, but that we have to confront to make progress. It will probably hurt, but at least you can go in with the knowledge of what it is.
Tropical fish are the rarest catch, and in the spread represent the things we treasure. Depending on what winds up in this position, this could be either something that the querent needs to make sure they don't forget amongst everything else, or something that they're holding onto too tightly and might need to learn to let go of. Context should hopefully make it clear which one it is.
I've found the spread to be most useful for communicating with your divinity of choice, but it also works well to get a feel for what path needs to be taken to deal with a specific problem, or just for general guidance on what you should be focusing on right now. Hopefully it can prove helpful to you.

Hey, hey, guess what?
BPFT!Crescent's reference sheet is done!
(BPFT is my God au, btw!!)
I've never done a reference sheet before so idk if I did this right but I do like how it turned out
Tumblr media
You can ask questions about him if you want, my ask box is always open ^^
Okay, now I'm gonna ramble about him so if you don't want spoilers for the fic, you may instead focus intensely on the rendered bit on the left and ignore the rest as well as the stuff under the read more :3
So the lantern glows blue because it's fueled by his magic rather than oil or something like that
Anyone who goes to the mortal realm gets one and it basically lights the path to the task they need to complete down there (Crescent doesn't have a real task tho so it's just a funny light)
Yes, he is wearing cloud pajamas, people tend to headcanon Nightmare's realm as eternally nighttime so that means you get to wear pajamas all the time when you're a demi-god living in his realm like Crescent
This is a medieval fantasy world, but the gates to the mortal realm are partially controlled by the God of Time and so the Gods get stuff from all periods because I fucked up when making Crescent's sheet and forgot to do research Fresh exists to be a menace
The outside of the cloak is fairly plain because the God of Fear is ironically paranoid and stealth is a must, however the galaxies on the inside of the cloak are real stars from Nightmare's realm and they move like a real night sky does (or they would, if I could animate that well)
Nightmare just kinda went "Lemme just pull some stars out of the sky for you" and turned it into a cloak for his son when he was sad one time and now it's Crescent's favourite :)
I spent like.... an hour trying to figure out how to make the stars before giving up and using this image from unsplash, which lets you use images for free. IbisPaint doesn't have many star brushes, unfortunately :(
Cross is there too, though I don't got his design fully fleshed out yet so take the silly little sketch of him
Even though the text is the same for their thoughts, they don't speak the same language
(It's only English for you guys)
Crescent only knows how to speak the Gods' language (which I'm gonna say is now Minecraft Enchantment Table lol) cuz that's what he was raised to speak (and to fuck with you guys <3) and Cross would be using Wingdings
Of course, when it's their perspective, it'll be regular letters for them and those fonts for the other so you get the full experience of a language barrier >:)
Cross wants to pay back Crescent by serving him after he saved his life but Crescent just wants a friend so he never asks for anything and that makes Cross a bit upset lol
He likes helping and can't convey that
Crescent wouldn't mind help tho but he kind of thinks Cross needs to rest after almost dying but he can't convey that either
They want to communicate but they can't lol
Oh! Oh! Oh!
I almost forgot!
Crescent can't travel during the day because his father's realm is the night and Dream unintentionally sends his aura across miles during the day
He wants to be the cool uncle but his aura is very overbearing, especially for a small demi-god :(
Crescent just pulls up his hood and pretends to sleep instead
Cross keeps guard :)
He does think Crescent is a God and that he's probably capable of watching his own back but he likes doing it anyway

More headcanons, this time video games
Note that isn't ALL the games they would play, but the ones they like the MOST. Or resonate with the most. Percy: Starting with the easiest, or rather second easiest. But Percy, and I mean this wholeheartedly, is a Metal Gear Solid stan. If there's ANY story out there that he would relate to more. It's Solid Snake's story, especially the whole "I just want to rest and be left alone but people keep dragging me back to fight battles."
TELL ME THAT DOESN'T FIT PERCY. HE JUST WANTS TO RELAX WITH ANNABETH BUT NOOO Outside of Metal Gear Solid, he's def a fan of Elder Scrolls (and LotR duh). "But Orcus" I hear you say "Percy said he doesn't like fantasy" and you would be correct. However, I raise you this. He doesn't like Urban Fantasy specifically. The whole "there's a secret magical world where we have to hide it from the Mort-er I mean Humans" trope is so stale to Percy that whenever he sees it the thought of flooding a publishing house briefly flickers through his mind. It's literally how he lives his life, so he hates urban fantasy. Though he would fucking LOVE Shadowrun, because while it is Urban Fantasy. It's not in the genre of 99.9% of urban fantasy, and it's different enough to his actual outside life that he can immerse himself in it. ______________________________________________________________ Annabeth: Okay, now for the easiest. In fact the reasons why she likes these games are so obvious that I don't feel like I need to explain myself. So let's just go on. SimCity, obviously, City Skylines, and...
Minecraft. "But, doesn't Minecraft have spiders?" Yes. That's why she uses creative mode. I don't think she'd be all in on survival, but creative? That's where she's designing some of her architectural projects in, she's got a LOT of building block and furniture mods I just know it. Honestly, now that I think of it, Annabeth would enjoy Rimworld.
______________________________________________________________ Frank: Civ. Frank plays Civilization and will lose DAYS of his life micro managing his cities. He has that same overly tactical mind, like Annabeth. However that's where they differ. Annabeth doesn't want to think about fighting when she relaxes, so while Civ would be up her ally, she wouldn't enjoy it all the time. As for Frank? Civ relaxes him. Even when the AI is doing some FUCKING BULLSHIT MOVES. Stellaris? Yep. Hearts of Iron? Crusader Kings? Yes. Victoria? Again, a yep. Any strategy game and Frank is ALL in on it. ______________________________________________________________ Hazel: Honestly, she's the difficult one. Same with Nico, but I feel like Diablo would be a natural fit. It's not too hard to pick up and learn, but it's got enough to learn to keep her interested. Same with Path of Exile. Hazel also shares a game with Nico, but I'll explain when I get to him. Also she totally plays Animal Crossing with Frank.
______________________________________________________________ Nico: Again, another tough one, or so I thought. Behold. FALLOUT. No seriously. Fallout would be PERFECT for Nico. He's literally from the time period, or close enough that he's almost certainly heard a fair number of the radio tracks featured in game. Fallout 3 would be a literal head trip for him, and the satirical nature of the games, the "I don't know what the fuck is going on, and what the fuck happened?" feeling that ALL of the protagonists have makes Nico (and Hazel) feel right at home. If anyone can relate to that, it's them. He totally plays Quake and DOOM though. ______________________________________________________________ Will: Will's the one that plays Animal Crossing. Well, not just Animal Crossing. Terraria? Stardew Valley? Also a yes. Will has a stressful job, so he's not interested in playing anything that's gonna stress him out. He def has a Minecraft world with Nico. While Will builds in more "modern" and bright color pallet. Nico is over there building elaborate gothic castles like it's nothing. Oh and LEGO Star Wars, but that's a given. And Battlefront 2. If it's Star Wars he's playing it. ______________________________________________________________ Alex: Alex and Magnus strike me as anarchists. Maybe illegalists, but def anarchists. However for Alex, I think she would actually enjoy Deus Ex. The original. Like, the whole "fuck Capitalism" theme of the game just gets Alex all giddy in a "how the fuck did they get away with this?" way. (Like the first "bad guy" you meet starts ranting off about corporate consolidation and tax rates. I'M NOT JOKING.) Same reason why she would enjoy watching Andor. It's got the theming, but it's not done in a way like you're reading political theory. It's just passive fun, and a good story. So on that note. Def Deus Ex. Metal Gear? Yeah, that too. Mass Effect? Sure, it has gay people in it, and for the time that was huge. (Y'all might not remember the absolute shit show that ME1 got into back in the day) Both her and Magnus play Assassin's Creed together. I just know. And TESIII: Morrowind. Trust me on this. ______________________________________________________________ Magnus: Magnus doesn't like violence. So he and Will share a lot of the same games actually. The guy sees more violence and bloodshed on a daily basis than any one person could comprehend. So games without a lot of that? He's all in for trying. So he def likes mostly Nintendo titles, maybe not Mario, but Zelda is a huge favorite. LEGO games are another solid choice, and I think he would be quite fond of Guilty Gear. ______________________________________________________________ Leo: Leo likes to build and to tinker with things. So he's messing around with Minecraft Redstone, or creating some awkward machine in Besiege (remember when that was all the rage?). But Leo's absolute favorite (was a dead and relatively unknown mecha title until this month) is Armored Core. Armored Core is the perfect game for someone like Leo, spend hours and I mean hours, I'm not making that up, tinkering and tuning each and every fucking part of your mech...only to die, and having to do it all over again. And he loves every. fucking. second. of it.

Stockholm Week 9: Booking the Rest of the Weekends!
This week was supposedly a stressful midterm week but thanks to the work I put in last weekend, I had an oddly relaxing week.
I booked a bunch of flights (hopefully the last) this week too ⸜( ˙ ˘ ˙)⸝♡
My wallet is suffering but I’m brainwashing myself that this is a lifetime opportunity I need to catch.
3/11 Mon: Ivar Los Park + Italy!
I had the mission of finding the tablecloth my mom bought in Stockholm Stadsmission during her stay. She was sad that she didn’t buy more of the same design since it fit the table size too perfectly. As a good daughter, I decided to do a scavenger hunt for it before it ran out of stock.
Unfortunately, the ones with the same design were gone when I arrived. Although I failed my mom’s request, my own hunt was successful! I found a skirt and dress that fit perfectly. I couldn’t resist buying them since they were less than $10 each too.
My Midterm paper for Crime Fiction class was due on Tuesday but I was close to being done due to last weekend’s grind. With light steps, I continued to spend time outside, enjoying the sun. Since I was already in Mariatorget and didn’t want to go home yet, I took a long walk around the Ivar Los Park.
The park was smaller than I thought. I sat down on a bench for a little while until I got up to walk alongside Monteliusvägen. The clear sky amplified the beauty of the view, lightening up my mood as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I tried to capture every moment in my head so that I could look back to these moments when I was exhausted.
During my 40-minute walk, I discovered a kindergarten, church, ballet school, and Mojang studios (shoutout to Minecraft fans). I shared my happiness with my grandparents in Korea by calling them and chit-chatting for a while.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A few snaps from my point of view
I walked back home since the park wasn’t too far from my apartment. I noticed that our apartment also had a small garden and walking paths, so I strolled around in the little garden until I was satisfied with the amount of Vitamin D intake.
For the longest time, something inside me had been bugging me to travel to Amsterdam and see the tulip festival. I tried scheduling times with my friends, but I couldn’t find anyone available during the weekend I was planning to go.
It was then that I got in touch with my friend from home, who is also studying abroad in Europe. We started talking about our travel plans and scheduling availability. Going to Amsterdam failed again because of our tight schedule, but we managed to find a weekend to visit Italy!!! It didn’t take us long to book our flights and come up with Airbnb lists ( ˃ᴗ˂ )
3/12 Tue
In Swedish class, we were assigned random groups to do a team assignment.
Tumblr media
There are too many ways to pronounce words
I don’t know how but dumplings kept coming up in our conversations (we were hungry), and I just had to go grab dumplings after class.
Tumblr media
These pork dumplings were a bit greasy but they tasted a bit like dim sum and I loved that
I walked around the vicinity after getting re-energized. More and more flower vendors have been popping up here and there, and I walked by slowly to enjoy the sight and the scent of flowers.
Tumblr media
Tulips usually aren’t my favorites but the ones here are absolutely gorgeous ✿(′ᵕ′*)
For dinner, I followed a kimchi fried rice recipe with cabbage instead. It was delicious as usual :)
Tumblr media
I’m running out of menus though ;-;
3/13 Wed: Productive Day
Wednesdays without any field studies are arguably the best!
I slept in and made a sandwich salad combo for brunch.
Tumblr media
Pesto is always right
I stayed home and worked on the second midterm essay of this week for Glued to the Screen TV Film course. I was more of a test girl than an essay girl but oddly, I enjoyed writing the three essays that are 2.5 pages each. I really think blogging is helping to lower the mental hurdles I have for writing essays.
After finishing the essays early, I switched the subject and worked on two different group projects. It was a very productive day!
3/14 Thu: Malta!
I stayed in the DIS building after the morning class until my late afternoon core class began. I was going to go to one of these recommended study cafes but got too lazy to go out.
Tumblr media
A map of good places to study!
I couldn’t get rid of the thought of going to Amsterdam, so I logged into Ryanair again.
The Ryanair website had an option to select “Anywhere” for the destination. Out of boredom and curiosity, I set the dates to one of my available weekends and scrolled through the possible destinations.
I found relatively cheap flight options to Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Greece, and Malta. Out of those options, Greece and Malta caught my eye. I would’ve loved to go to Santorini but that wasn’t an option. When I searched Malta on Google, I was captivated by the scenery. I LOVE the beach and it happened to be Malta’s specialty. I could feel my lingering desire for Amsterdam finally dissipating as I looked at the pictures of Malta.
I contemplated for a while, calculating the expenses, and clicked the button to buy the flight ticket. A solo trip to Malta in April is officially confirmed! I’m becoming more and more spontaneous but I don’t hate the change. I’m working on trying out things that I wouldn’t have done before, and this is a step towards my goal.
For dinner, I made a quick and healthy meal out of oatmeal. I’ve been into oatmeal recipes lately; they are easy and fulfilling! Since oatmeal was healthy, I ate chips to balance out.
For the rest of the night, I read the second half of The Legacy by Yrsa Sigurðardóttir for the Crime Fiction class tomorrow.
3/15 Fri
I woke up early around 7 am to finish the book.
After classes, my friend and I grabbed lunch at a Thai restaurant.
Tumblr media
The pad thai was good but I couldn’t stop comparing it to No Thai
If you’re reading this in Ann Arbor, please get pad thai or drunken noodles or potato curry at No Thai for me.
Anyway, our lunch date didn’t end there. Yes, we were full after lunch. Yes, we got boba. I have been refraining from getting boba too much because I knew my addiction would kick in again soon enough. But it was Friday and I was productive this week, so I got it as a treat for myself.
I tried working on homework that evening, but I couldn’t get myself to focus enough to finish it. So Friday night ended up as a self-care night in my bed as well ( * ˘╰╯˘ *)
3/16 Sat: Study Date
On Saturday, I got to sleep in until 11:30 am. I was still in my bed rolling around when my friend asked me if I wanted to come with her to go do work in a cafe. It didn’t take too long to realize that I wouldn’t do any work if I stayed home, so I composed myself and got ready to go out.
We headed to Gamla Stan but it was packed with even more people than usual. I blame the good weather.
After failing to find a spot in three different cafes, we moved over to T-Centralen and found a good study place.
Tumblr media
The cafe is called the Kaferang City - I got Snapple but it was $5.50 ;-;
The music and distant conversations helped me focus and finish my assignments (+ blogging) for the week!
On the way back home, I stopped at ICA to get groceries. I bought a pack of raw chicken breast for the first time, and it took me TWO hours to cook it + make dinner. My legs hurt by the end but once I tasted my dinner I knew it was worth it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was so afraid that chicken would be raw so I cut some into thirds, not even halves
When I went back home I was irresistibly drawn to stay horizontal in my bed. I made a good choice to start a new novel but a bad choice to read until 5 am.
3/17 Sun
Free time!
My roommate hasn’t come back from her weekend trip so I had all the space to myself. Moreover, I didn’t have much to do because I did most of it yesterday at the cafe.
Sooo I basically spent the whole day finishing reading the novel except doing a brief project meeting and submitting finalized homework assignments.
This week was an opportunity for me to rest peacefully, both mentally and physically. I love traveling but felt that taking a rest was a necessary step for me.
It has been two months already since I came to Stockholm. Thank you for reading my weekly essays and I promise you that I’ll come back with more stories to tell next week!

L, can you write something about the whole group playing minecraft together? <3
Alright, gamers. Welcome to another Minecraft stream—I apologize in advance for the heavy use of Minecraft lingo.
~•~•~
"Damn, bitch. You live like this?!" Eliseo asks incredulously as he looks around Cooper's messily done dirt hut full of chests and a single bed.
"Says the guy with a basic blob skin stuck with iron tools." Cooper shoots back, his Minecraft skin being a blocky rendition of himself with dots for eyes.
"Cooper, you don't even have any tools to even justify your point." You deadpan as you walk over to another chest after looking at one that's just full of birch wood (why the hell didn't he use that to build his house, you have no idea). The next chest you opened is just stacks full of magma blocks and soul sand. "How did you even get these?" You look at Cooper, who's busy crouching and uncrouching by the door. The elytra on his back flaring and unflaring with each crouch.
"Oh those have been there for a while." Cooper replies casually. "Most of them are for build projects with Fleur."
Ah, right, because she's hosting this server. Though with how begrudging she sounded when Cooper pleaded with her to make theirs the host, says all you needed to know about her thoughts on the matter. It's a shock to you that she actually plays video games, let alone Minecraft of all things. Honestly, you were expecting her to play word or puzzle games, or even those virtual plant games.
"Zeph next for the house tour." Eliseo declares as he closes a chest, immediately sprinting out of the hut. He said some more things, but with the voice proximity chat being used in the server, his voice gradually faded as he got farther away. You look at Cooper, who has stopped doing his crouch and uncrouching session, and now has a cookie at hand. He doesn't say anything, just drops it before you then sprints after Eliseo.
...
What the fuck.
After getting over your confusion on what Cooper just did, you exit Cooper's hut, shutting the bamboo door behind you, and follow the smooth diorite path to Zephyrine's house. There are brick blackstone walls lining the 4 block wide path, soul lanterns sitting on raised walls to light the way. There are other paths that branch off to other places in this huge base, some go to different mines, others to different (and decorated) nether portals, a few to the different automated farms Cooper built, and the rest are open land yet to be filled.
You reach the center of the base, where there is a gazebo made out of cherry blossom planks and crimson wood surrounded by a garden of varying flowers. Some leaves and vines were used as an extra flair on the roof and sides of this little gazebo. In the said gazebo there is single chest with a pink sign over it saying, 'Community Pantry. Will refill when empty'.
You take some cooked chicken from it before continuing on in your journey.
You continue to pass by different structures as you make your way down the path. Some had more use than others, like the library and blacksmith where it hosts its respective villagers for trading, while others are a bit more for decor like the general store that only hosts two wandering traders and a few barrels with a variety of used tools and houses that host jobless villagers. Passing by the blocky rendition of Zephyrine's pet cat, you start to hear yelling that only grows louder.
Speeding up your sprint with jumps, you begin to see a modest two story house made out of birch and dark oak and a multitude of windows. The outside is decorated beautifully with a variety of building techniques, and by the front porch it has you see Eliseo, Cooper, and Zephyrine, whose skin is just a typical e-girl designed one you can find online for free.
"—you're just going to kill me before we even reach the Deep Dark!" Zephyrine hisses, punching Eliseo with her bare hand to which he lets out a small "ow".
"We can invite the others too to join us." Cooper suggests, crouching and uncrouching again beside Zephyrine this time.
"None of us even have a decent pickaxe. How the hell are we supposed to even reach that without needing to go back to make new picks?" Zephyrine argues, hearing the frown as she says that. You quickly approach them, which made both Zephyrine and Eliseo let out a surprised shriek.
"I didn't know I was that scary." You smugly say, to which Zephyrine quickly starts punching you, earning some fall damage too as your're pushed off the porch. Eliseo's cackling doesn't help you in this situation. "Ow. Ow. Ow. OW. OW. OW. STOP THAT."
"Don't just suddenly run up to us without saying anything!" Zephyrine scolds as she stops punching you
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Jeez!" You quickly apologize, eating some chicken while you're at it to regenerate health.
"Wanna go mining with us?" Eliseo asks you, walking down the porch to approach you. You can already imagine the lazy grin on his face. "We're gonna look for the Warden."
"And get sculks for the new EXP farm." Cooper adds, now crouching and uncrouching by the stairs.
"That's a suicide mission." You state, frowning.
"We'll get the others to join us we'll be fine." Eliseo reassures, and sprints off again, to which Cooper immediately follows after, most likely going to Weylyn next. You look at Zephyrine, who only lets out a resigned sigh and steps off her porch whilst putting on some enchanted diamond armor.
"I already have a bad feeling about this." She grumbles as she starts walking down the path to Weylyn's house. "And I just got this armor enchanted."
"Well, we won't be dying on our own." You reassure as you catch up to her side. "Who knows, we might find some cool shit on the way."
"Like what?"
"Like a lush cave and some axolotl."
You hear Zephyrine hum in consideration, which ends the small chat. You both continue down the path, passing more buildings and structures that decorate the base. You even passed by a zoo of every current obtainable mob imaginable, all of them named and in their own enclosures. Passing by a small pond full of frogs, you both eventually arrive at Weylyn's house.
It consists of two tall, custom built, spruce trees, with one of them having spruce plank slabs that spiral around the trunk to one of the house above. The other house is on the other tree, connected to the first one via a bridge. You can see Cooper and Eliseo making their way up to the house, and it wasn't long until you and Zephyrine are too. After nearly falling over a few times, you did manage to arrive on the mini porch. Inside, you see Eliseo enter the house from the bridge, while Cooper busies himself looking through the barrels that hang above the furnaces ooh-ing and ah-ing every now and then.
"He's not here." Eliseo grumbles.
"He's probably out getting materials?" You offer, looking at an empty armor stand by a blue bed. "His armor is gone."
"Hmm. Maybe."
It wasn't long until Cooper suddenly stopped looking through the barrels, letting out a "OH SHIT" in realization, sprint out of the house and use his elytra to fly off to what you can guess is Fleur's area of the base. You three watch, confused and bewildered before eventually following after him.
Entering and exiting the gazebo again, upon entering Fleur's area you are greeted by a lot of flora. There are a multitude of gardens and decorative green houses, and even cottages that are decorated with greenery and home to a few villagers that are a mix of farmers and shepherds. Passing through a walkway made of leaves, oak fences and hanging vines, you all stop at an unfinished structure that's being built by four people, a TV head character colored in dark greens and mustard yellow, a cake with a derpy face and fully armored in diamond, and a perfect minecraft rendition of Fleur, and Cooper. There are different scaffoldings placed around, some of them nearer to the cake guy, Fleur, and Cooper; three of them being in high areas.
The structure itself is being built with a mixture of different blocks, though all of them being related to the color white. You see the TV head (Ophelia), busying herself with redstone by what looks like to be a giant door, while the cake (Weylyn) is busy making a spire. Fleur and Cooper are not too far away, making wide pillars by the door.
"What are you guys building?" You ask, causing the four builders to stop and look at you three.
"A temple." Fleur's in-game message pops up in the corner. She's the only one who doesn't have her voice chat on in the group. She won't tell you why when you asked, so you didn't pry.
You frown. "Why a temple?"
She doesn't reply, instead just stares at you for a long while.
Another message pops up.
"Why are you here?"
"We're gonna look for the Warden," Eliseo answers, "and we want you guys to come so we can all die together."
"You guys are going to the Deep Dark?" Ophelia asks, her curiosity piqued. "I'll come. I needed some deep slate anyway."
"Great! Happy to have you on board team Deep Dark." You hear Eliseo's grin, turning his head to look at Weylyn. "What about you, Weylyn?"
"I think I'll just stay here and build." Weylyn replies, his apologetic smile flashing into your mind. "I did promise Fleur that I'll help her build the temple."
"So I'm assuming Fleur and Cooper aren't coming too because of this." Eliseo grumbles in exasperation. "Fine, fine. Have it your way. We're not gonna share the stuff we get when we return."
And with that Eliseo leaves, most likely to prepare. You hear Zephyrine let out a "He's such a kid" before leaving too with a sigh. You look at Ophelia, who's putting some things into a red shulker box, before approaching you.
"Let's go?" She offers, hearing the excitement in her voice as she crouches and quickly uncrouches.
"Yeah, let's." You chuckle and follow after her to her house.

Stampy's lovely world ending
Spoiker warning of course!
No idea how I'm formatting this but here we go i guess.
I wanted to start off discussing the ending, which people seem split on. I personally kind of found it weird that we didn't get Stampy and HTT calling a permanent truce consideribg fight to forgive made it seem like Stampy was on the slow path to making peace with HTT. I was kind of waiting for it, some reveal that HTT didn't design the trap in the nether since it was kind of Stampy who made the decision to go to the nether, that HTT was working for a higher power against his will or something, that Stampy would find something at HTT's castle that put everything into context, i was REALLY expecting some sort of fake-out ending where things ended on a definitive note but where HTT realized he didn't want the lovely world without Stampy and would invite him to stay or chase after him like Veeva did, but that didn't quite happen. HTT doesn't get any sort of closure one way or the other, it's just implied he owns lovely world now and it's all super lonely and a hallow victory but we don't see that confirmed.
That isn't to take away from the episode though. If that's how Stampy wanted to end it who am i to tell him otherwise? I can see the intent behind it and respect it even if it's gonna leave a hallow hole in my heart that i am forever scared to fill again due to fear of whatever i fill that void with ending too, or worse, the people behind it turn out to be huge jerks and the community doesn't feel very safe. Wait what was i talking about again? Oh yeah, Stampy cat. I won't knock it for the ending being a little too heavy on the bitter rather than the sweet, it's a good episode and i can always just download the world when the download is released and all that, and assuming Youtube doesn't go bankrupt and all of Stampy's older vids don't become lost media, i can at least go back and rewatch all those old series whenever.
On the subject of people making content to fill the void and hopefully fostering a safe and inclusive community though, as i said in the past, I hope the ending of Lovely world pushes people to make more fun long term family friendly but also genuine content like lovely world. Stampy made these minecraft videos for so long and it always felt fun to watch him, it felt like he was being genuine the whole way through, there weren't a bunch of fast pased annoying edits and Stampy didn't feel like he was putting on this loud in your face persona to keep our attention, and most importantly, he was super kind and inclusive and respectful on top of being so imaginative and creative. I really wish there were more content creators like that on the platform. LGBTQ+ kids don't really have a lot of spaces to go where they can feel so safe and i think it's important that they have those spaces where they feel welcome.
Not saying those spaces don't exist but even when Stampy was still actively making videos, those spaces were fairly few and far between. I just hope that more people who grew up on Stampy take this opportunity and we get a renaissance of people making videos like Stampy and fostering communities like Stampy's while also bringing their own things to the table. SMPs maybe kind of fill that void but they're not for everybody (me included) and not what I'm talking about. The only other person i can think of that is closer to what i mean is Sqaishey, who is also amazing and feather adventures is still going for the foreseeable future, i just think it'd be nice if there were more people like Stampy and Sqaishey for kids to look up to and feel welconed by, as i have reiterated like 9 times in the last minute because I'm not good at making my point or ending a post like this.

Gaming With Sevika
Note : Apologies in advance with the quality, I'm fairly new to this.
-To anybody that thinks she would be a boomer with technology, you are highly mistaken, she would have so much fun with it. (aside from maybe typing with one finger on her phone, you'd constantly mock her about it but in reality it’s just because her hands are so damn big) Probably knows how to set up a pc and would definitely buy one for you so you can play more games together. (Thinking about having individual setups in the same room that are astoundingly different makes me smile) If you have toys or figures on your desk she’d say they’re stupid to your face but end up fiddling with them when she thinks you aren’t around.
-She’d love any game involving violence or shooting things, if it isn’t supposed to be cathartic why is it so fun? I have a feeling she’d love RDR2 (totally not biased or anything cause I never stop playing it-) She’d enjoy online even more though because I have no doubt she’d be a god at pvp. You were cuddled up in her lap one day watching her mow down players with minimal effort and since then you never go on without dragging her along with you. She’d definitely cuss out characters she hates in story mode, messing up missions just so she can relish in the feeling of offing them for a minute or so. Sevika would name her horse something horrendous like “DumFuc” or “AsWipe” only to treat it like a goddamn saint, tending to it better than her actual character. (This could be said for all in game pets, there’s so many dogs in story mode and she’d pet every single one of them)
-Playing anything online with her automatically makes your experience 100x better, she has a way of dealing with people that you could never top and it’s both rewarding and endearing to watch her deplete men’s egos into the negatives. (Also, the stern tone of voice used when she's genuinely pissed off sets something off between your legs-) She helps you feel confident enough to leave your mic on and she loves hearing your reactions to things that excite you or make you squeal. She doesn't want anyone to deter her from listening to them. (As someone who is constantly muted I long for the day when I can say one word without getting bombarded by stupid)
-She’ll call you a multitude of insults when you slip up or mess around in game too much, you take it as permission to be even more of a dumbass so you can keep getting reactions out of her. The moment anyone else has something to say about your antics though? She’ll kill them on sight regardless of if they’re on the same side or not. She’ll shower you with praise throughout the rest of the time you spend playing, acting like you defeated the ender dragon for her if you bring her a dead shrub or a chicken on a lead.
-On that note, Sevika and Minecraft? Astounding. If you’re more of a builder then she’ll be working her ass off in the caves as you scream about roof alignment and how the path to the house is wonky. (The cave noises scare the shit out of me but nothing gets me more worked up then when I keep fucking up the building layout) She’ll bring you over three stacks of iron like it was nothing and then immediately make fun of your interior design. She knows that she wouldn’t be able to make anything more than a cube house so she actually finds your creativity impressive but she’s gonna give you shit anyway.
“Sev, I’ve changed the carpet like fifteen times now. If you don’t give me a direct answer on how to make the bedroom more appropriate to your refined taste I’m going to throw Glamrock Freddy at you again.” There’s a beat of silence on her end and then she asks for all you have in your inventory, making you step aside as she puts together a pattern so ugly you thought she installed some sort of wacky mod without your knowledge. You can hear the smirk in her voice as she finishes it off, stepping back to analyze it with you.
“How about that? Who knew gravel made such a good centerpiece.” She’s fucking with you, no one in their right mind would leave raised carpet as an intentional detail, not to mention the use of random blocks. “If you hadn’t made me a full set of diamond armor three minutes ago I’d set it on fire.” You roll your eyes as she starts up the dramatics, reorganizing your inventory as she whines about how you don't appreciate her genius or how she's been slaving away in the mines for you. Despite your implied hatred, the monstrosity of a decoration stays put for quite a while.

Tell me about:
1. The thing that got you hooked on hockey
oghhh long story for Sure. i became like. distantly enamored with it watching the bruins with my dad/brother during the 2010-11 playoffs like that and soccer were the only sports i could bother watching. then in 2019? i re-read check please, became obsessed with it on that read through, started following the players some characters were based off of - namely sid and segs. then segs lead me down a path of delusion and insanity forever. so like. either the 2011 bruins cup run, check please, or tyler seguin.
2. Your first ever fandom friend

if i said anyone other than miro i think i would collapse dead.
5. A pairing that deserves more fic

6. Your favourite on-ice moment
OKAY . niche roopemiro moment i am abt to throw at u. first thing that came to mind was when they had a FLOP ASS zone entry moment and miro just barrels straight into brick wall roope and they have to giggle abt it from last season. it was one of my first gifs and ik there are better sets of it but. here's mine. sooo pathetic and stupid and uncharacteristic of their perfectly in sync asses.

Cuphead Deltarune AU?
Cuphead Deltarune AU.
Elder Kettle & Ms Chalice | King Dice & The Devil
AU info (and character stats) below the cut!
Cuphead HP: 60
Cuphead is more of a defensive fighter. He keeps his distance and attacks from afar, thus he prefers bullets over charms and spells. He is also deeply curious, and often gets the whole group into trouble.
Attacks Pea Shooter - A series of 6 consecutive strikes in a row, average damage. Chaser - Does consistent low damage on the opponent's turn. Roundabout - Lowers defense but does good damage. Lobber - Must be closer to opponent, does excellent damage. Spells Smoke Dash - 1 free hit from a boss with no damage. 40 TP. Giant Ghost - The soul and body separate for max damage. 100 TP.
Mugman HP: 60
Mugman is the offense. He will either hold his ground or approach an enemy. He prefers magic over direct attack, although he can do both. He is more on the straight-and-narrow path, and constantly trying to stop/save his brother from trouble.
He is also the only CHDR character who can be manipulated into the Acolyte Route.
Attacks Pea Shooter - a series of 6 consecutive strikes in a row, average damage. Spread - Low damage at close range. Spells Whet Stone - Pressing a key near an attack on the opponent's turn will cause damage. 25 TP. Heart Song - Similar to Ralsei's Heal Prayer. Heals 10 HP. 36 TP. Charge - High damage pryo spell that requires aiming. It also takes a moment to charge. Press shift to charge and release to fire. 30 TP. Spade Slash - Summon a barrage of spade-shaped attacks to descend upon an enemy. 16 TP
If he uses Spade Slash, the enemy will either shatter or drop down depending on who they are. This is a one-hit kill, maybe two if the enemy has high enough HP.
Equipping him with the Cursed Relic will make him ill, but increase attack power. If Cursed Relic is equipped when he meets Chalice, and all enemies have been defeated with Spade Slash, a new attack will replace it.
The Fun Route / The Acolyte Route Ace Acolyte - Sends a barrage of cards at the enemy. They are all suits; diamonds, hearts, clubs, and spades. Spades do the most damage. Hearts do heal, if you can catch them, but on this route it doesn't matter. The enemy will loose too much HP for it to matter.
Worldbuilding Cuphead ≠ Deltarune's Lightener World, but their Darkner Worlds are connected.
It works like Nether portals in Minecraft, but for dimensions.
Astral energy is also high in the Dark World. Some theorize that the Dark World IS the Astral Plane, though this has not bee proven or denied.
The Calix Animi used the Dark World for many spells, charms, and supers, as well as training. As such, there are many leftover relics from a time long ago.
If- and this is a big if- if the Cuphead cast managed to meet Kris and their group, chances are they'd get along, but to varying levels. Hot take is that Mugman and Susie would be besties.
They can use cartoon physics in the Dark World. They themselves are cartoons.
This takes place in the show's timeline, so she would be fine, but if this were an AU of the game, Chalice would have a harder time leaving the Darkner World than they others since she herself is a ghost. The Astral energy would try to deny her this freedom, but she can leave.
The Dark World that spawned in the brother's house is located in the kitchen. Due to the enemies all looking like plates, forks, knives, and sometimes even cups, the brothers speculate that maybe this is where they're from. This turns out to be false, as Darkners can't leave.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Anyway, that's what I've got rn. Let me know your thoughts! I do want to design Kettle, Chalice, Dice, and Devs, but they will just have to wait. I need to also figure out a plot for this.
