tamlin blasted rhys' dad off the face of the earth as the high lord magic was transferring and he also glamoured rhys to not see feyre in acotar, so his magic is very powerful
and nesta saw straight through his glamour as a mortal... like i'm not saying she is the most powerful bitch but i am saying that with my whole heart

The Asteri arrange bondless matings in Midgard to produce powerful offspring. The Asteri corrupted the Cauldron. ACOTAR is the only world where the Cauldron has influence. ACOTAR is the only world where we know some matings bonds can be wrong. Rhys says mating bonds may be from the Mother or the Cauldron, and might just be to produce powerful offspring. If SJM wants to make Elain and Azriel true mates she's already done all the work. It's all in canon. Elriel, Nessian, and Feysand could all have bonds from the Mother, just like in CC and TOG. Elucien could have a bond from the corrupted Cauldron. It's not that hard.
In 15,000 years.
After Danika / Baxion, Kallias / Vivianne, Feyre / Rhys, Rowan / Aelin, Bryce / Hunt, Nesta / Cassian, and so on.
In 15,000 years, ONLY the Elucien mating bond is corrupt? Those are some fucking odds, let me tell you. And damn, Elain and Lucien must be really important to be the sole recipients of such a unique plot with such far reaching implications.
It's really strange how the Asteri, who have never met Elucien and will never meet Elucien considering the ones on Midgard who are responsible for all this corruption are (spoiler) DEAD, would have gone to so much trouble.
If you're trying to claim Elain and Lucien were mated only to create the most powerful offspring than I feel pretty bad for E/riels future children since you're telling me they will just never measure up and that Az is in fact the weakest link.
It's also really strange how this same corrupt Cauldron created Elain and Nesta. Maybe it's not the bond that is corrupt but Elain herself, right? Since everything that comes from the cauldron now has the potential to be tainted I guess neither Lucien or Az should end up with a girl with that sort of questionable creation. I mean, the author did include the line about Elain having tightness on her face and Cassian suspecting she wasn't telling the truth about something. Clearly, that's SJM already "doing the work" to support Evil Elain and Az and Lucien will need to put her down together.
You know what's not hard? Understanding why some bonds are poorly matched.
You're referring to Rhys's parents, correct?
Rhys's father was cold and vicious and stole his mother away the second their bond snapped because he felt entitled to her. He also refused to ban wing clipping despite his her begging him to.
Rhys's mother was soft and fiery and beloved by many.
Elain sounds like Rhys's mother, does she not?
Cold and vicious, cold and vicious, feels entitled to a female. Gosh...that just doesn't sound like Lucien.
But it kind of does sound like someone full of an icy rage who is a far better liar than Rhys himself and knows how to perform a symphony of pain during his torture sessions. The guy who feels he should have gotten Elain as a mate for the simple fact that his brothers are with her sisters.
Elain and Az will never be true mates and let me tell you why.
Because as Elain was violated in the most horrible way possible to her character, Az was crying out for Mor.
As Elain was depressed and traumatized, Az never bothered to ask how she was doing, did not visit her for weeks after she was turned, and actually drew straws so he didn't need to stay and guard her.
After Elain lost her father, Az was relieved not to get her a Solstice gift and blushed and stared at Mor with heat and yearning.
I don't even need an Elucien mating bond to understand he is by far the better male for her.

"You'd know, Cass. If she were dead, you'd know."
So this might be out there (and I haven't read ACOSF since it came out so I don't remember if Nesta touched on this or not and I could be completely wrong) but what if...when Nesta and Elain were put into the cauldron, in order to become fae they had to die just like Feyre died before she could be brought back as fae. Even if it was only a second. And what if, despite how Cassian was nearly unconscious and how injured Azriel was, they both felt it when Nesta and Elain died for those few seconds. They may not have even known what the feeling was in the moment. What if when Azriel says this to Cassian in ACOSF he's remembering that moment? That feeling could also be why he's so adamant with Rhysand in the BC because he knows what he felt.
Like I said I could be completely wrong, but what if!?
Oh I dont think it's wrong at all! I think it's very very likely actually.
I think in Elriel's case, they have a bond (the original bond) and then it was overlayed with the Elucien bond.
When Feyre died, when her neck was snapped, the only thing that she felt as she was dying, was the thread of the bond, which Rhys wouldn't let go. He kept tugging on it and holding onto it, refusing to let the tether snap completely. I think that he knew that then, Feyre would be lost.
I've wondered if something similar happened to the sisters in the Cauldron, because they did technically die, at least for a bit, before being re-Made into Fae. Azriel, at the time of Making, was also almost dead, with an ash bolt in his chest. What if he felt the tether more acutely at that moment, because he was almost dead and Elain died? What if he held onto it, unwilling to let go and maybe that's what kept him alive in the end? But he also knew what it's like to feel Elain die?
I think something definitely happened in that Making which is much more complex than what we saw through Feyre's eyes.
We already know that Nesta stole something, that she felt the rage of the Cauldron, that she felt its eye on her. That her relationship with it was unique and it allowed her to bargain with it and give up what she stole in exchange for Feyre's life.
What happened to Elain, who was also the first one to go in? How did it feel to receive a 'gift' from it? What did it feel like to suddenly receive an unwanted bond too? When and what did she feel for Azriel?
So many questions!

Have you guys ever considered that Elain's seer power might just be the tip of the iceberg of what she actually possesses? I see her prophecies as her mind possessing the detection and translating of alignments of the world of ACOTAR with infinite parallel realities, these controlled by Cauldron.
We already know that the Cauldron loves Elain's presence, and it makes me think that he seems to see her as a little sister or daughter. We know the Cauldron creates life and holds everyone's fates, and you all know her visions. Who knows, maybe he made her closer to him with a greater extent of power? His powers.
Nesta stole from the Cauldron, but Elain... What if the Cauldron wants Elain to have it? Perhaps... grant his powers to her at any time.

ACOTAR fic ab Rhysand’s Sister: When Stars cry: She fixes the Night Court
Ok I’m actually pretty excited to write about Rhysand’s sister
So far the plot goes:
Pre story: in her youth she began experiencing visions about the future. She was initially close with Rhysand and the other bat boys but in time she slowly grew distaste for them after seeing the state of the Night Court under Rhysand’s rule. I plan to include flashbacks to her childhood to show the contrast between her gentle nature then and the woman she becomes, but her heart is still buried under her anger.
Story:When her mother is killed by Tamlin’s father she was kidnapped (they glamoured a random fae girl to look like her and sent her head to Rhysand to trick him and their father). She was locked up by Tamlin’s father so he could use her power, but because he was killed she was forgotten about and lost.
She’s spent 500 years locked away deep in the Spring Court in a coma-like state, drifting between the dreams of the creatures throughout all of Prythian. Her magic was still left in traces and its said you can hear the sound of her harp in the wind of the night court, as well as in the dreams of those she knew in childhood (she basically haunts Rhysand’s from his sleep) .
Tamlin eventually stumbles upon her and she decides she needs to take the night court over from Rhysand. She starts with the Illyrian mountains- negotiating and helping the women. After lengthy work she gains their support in overthrowing Rhysand.
Once she does kick him out she moves the CoN above the mountains (seriously the Night Court is the biggest one and they can’t find any room for the CoN???).
She becomes friends with Nesta (there is a chance they date), potentially Elain (I want them to bond over seer abilities and bring out the creepy in elain). I doubt Feyre since she’s devoted to Rhysand and it’ll be hard to undo her character assassination but I can try. She may have a thing with azriel rekindle but she’ll have to make him see the error of the NC since he’s a loyal Rhysander.
Idk if I want to keep her and Tamlin as a strong platonic relationship or let it turn into a romantic one. I think their growth and moving past Tamlin playing a part in her mothers murder and her imprisonment would be really interesting. We also don’t see enough f/m friendship in ACOTAR. They’ll definitely have a strong bond regardless.
other things about her:
She has beef with the cauldron and the mother and denounces the mating bond (still deciding If I want to add a plot line about that)
In youth she was a friend of Tamlin, like her brother.
She was an avid musician
She often ran away from home to spend time outside of her father’s confines, often visit other courts and enjoyed spending time in the spring court.
She also often snuck out into the CoN and stole food from the manor to give to the little kids.
She completed the blood rite to prove herself to her father
Her visions were developed because she has seer-like powers, but not exactly, more like foresight. This is how she saw Rhysand’s and the night courts transgressions during her imprisonment.
She recieved Illyrian training from Cassian and Azriel.
She, like Rhysand, is very powerful. She also shares Daemeti abilities.
When she was born she was considered an abomination because of her not-so-Illyrian wings. I might retcon this tho because I don’t want her to turn into a Mary Sue.
For names I’m thinking of the following;
Morana - A Slavic goddes of winter and death (Mora for short, her and Morrigan liked to match as kids)
Astraea - the Greek virgin goddess of justice & innocence and meaning star. I’m partial to this because I think it fits her character.
Vega - Latin for falling star, if I use this I’m gonna make some connection between her and star fall (or with any of the names idk)
or maybe an Rh name
—————
what do y’all think? I would love any and all feedback since this is a creation I want to share and enjoy with everyone!
also as a forewarning I’m not as flowery of a writer as sjm but that might be a breath of fresh air from growling “males” and watery bowels.
LMK if you want to be added to a tag list for updates!!

Elain: “He snapped your wings, he broke your bones.” Cassian: “It will take more than that to kill me.” Elain: “No it will not.”
What if Elain wasn't talking about Cassian and Hybern? What if it was Cassian later on in life? Or do we think that Nesta with her power over death, blocked his death from reaching him? “Will I hear the earthworms writhing through the soil? Or the stretching of roots? Will the bird of fire come to sit in the trees and watch me?” Dusk coming back to life. Or the leylines (roots) activating with Bryce opening the portal. The Midgard worm which appears to eat / be attracted to magic. Bird of fire is Vassa
"I can hear your heart beating through the stone. I can hear hers too" Vesperus and Nesta? I can't remember who she said this to. On rereading Koschei and Vesperus? Or Koschei and Aelin?
"I can hear her crying. Everyone thinks she is dead, but she isn't. She was changed, like I was."
Who is this! Another made person? Another seer? "I can hear the sea. Even at night. Even in my dreams. The crashing sea—and the screams of a bird made of fire.”
The sea, Dusk? The bird of fire Vassa? Why is she screaming?
“They sold her—to … to some darkness, to some … sorcerer-lord …”
The human queens sold Vassa to Koschei.
“I can never see him. What he is. There is an onyx box that he possesses, more vital than anything … save for them. The girls. He keeps other girls—others so like her—but she … By day, she is one form, by night, human again.”
He has his heart (soul?) trapped in an onyx box, and he is looking for the key. Reminds me of what the Bone Carver said, that the blood of a power High Fae trapped Koschei and her blood still runs through the humans. He is trapping humans to see if they will open the box for him. Vassa has "Blue eyes" and "reddish gold hair" - like Meave? Like Theia? I actually think that Stryga was Koschei's wife and stole his heart locking it in a box as punishment for something. Similar to Meabh and Erawan.
“There is … a lake. Deep in—in the continent, I think. Hidden amongst mountains and ancient forests. He keeps them all at the lake.” “Other women like her?” “Yes—and no. Their feathers are white as snow. They glide across the water—while she rages through the skies above it.”
Is this Vassa the Firebird (Mala) and Mab (as a swan)?
This reads to me like a retelling of the Children of Lir.
“I can hear her—crying.” “Everyone thinks she’s dead." “But she’s not. Only—different. Changed. As I was.”
Who is she? Briallyn? Mab? Who people think is dead? Her crown was never recovered? Another made person, mortal to immortal? Miryam?
“She stared into the darkness above. “I think they used it to … to trap their enemies and their enemies’ children into the stone itself.”
The Asteri trapping the fae into stone in the prison? Looking up at the darkness, to the sky, the stars / asteri on different planets. Who are their enemies? Aelin, the fae, and the starborn. "He did. He saw me. He will not now.”
He? As in Hybern? The Cauldron? Koschei?
“It made sense, I supposed, that Azriel alone had listened to her. The male who heard things others could not … Perhaps he, too, had suffered as Elain had before he understood what gift he possessed.
The biggest questions for me are the flaming feather on the snow.

Okay I'm rereading some beginning chapters of acotar and Feyre says Alis and the two other servants look human/high fae. Like humans with pointed ears. Specifically described Alis as a brown haired woman.
It's probably the glamour, but a very interesting take on it.
Also Tamlin "plops" down into his chair as a horse sized beast AND THEN shifts back to high fae form??? 😭 Sarah what are you talking about?
Credit tho, this is probably the best Feyre is written. Smart, observant, thinking - still panicked but not making stupid mistakes. And kinda funny, she thinks Tamlin is wearing the mask in solidarity with Lucien since Lucien probably wants to hide his scar.
Lucien is a bit weird? In retrospect, he knows about the curse, about the sentries going despite Tamlin's reluctance but he's acting like Tamlin traded Andras's life for Feyre's?
Also sjm's manipulative writing. At no point has Tamlin done anything to save Feyre or earn her trust but she mentally starts switching from captor to saviour out of nowhere. It's only chapter 5 or 6. Be serious. She hasn't even been there a day and she's saying the humans were wrong about Prythian.
Alis and the other two servants cut Feyre's hair, why? Also Alis telling Feyre to take Lucien down a peg lol.
Alis says Feyre will be safe at the mercy of their master and just before she left the dining room Feyre saw Lucien bow to Tamlin as well as be talked down from throwing Feyre out. How does she not know he's the High Lord?
Lucien to Tamlin: you have zero rizz, my boy
Also Lucien: "we're not going to bite." Teeth gleaming in a way that suggested otherwise. Cassian stole this man's whole flow 🙄
Not Tamlin saying it's an honour for a human to be served by a High Fae, stfu.
“You look … better than before.”
Was that a compliment? I could have sworn Lucien gave Tamlin an encouraging nod.
“And your hair is … clean.”
HAHAHAHA
(Lucien muttered, “So typically human.”) racism.
Lucien was seriously upset about Andras. That hurts.
Tamlin immediately assures Feyre that he's helped her family with income. It's chapter 7. The tension is sucked out of the situation and Feyre's motivation to leave is nullified by the author. That's kinda bad writing. Narratively it makes sense for Tamlin to use this against her trying to escape tho.
Tamlin has magic ropes? Hands? That can just hold Feyre in place?
Feyre: he's lying. Also Feyre: faeries can't lie.
“Why be so generous?” Lucien gave me a look that suggested he had no idea
They literally just finished making sure she wasn't in love with anyone back home so she could fall for Tamlin easier. So Lucien knows exactly why???
Feyre misses sleeping next to her sisters 🥺
Nesta must be stretching her legs and smiling at the extra room. She was probably content imagining me in the belly of a faerie—probably using the news as a chance to be fussed over by the villagers.
She legitimately doesn't know anything about Nesta.
...maybe the villagers would turn on my family, not wanting to be associated with people tied with Prythian, and run them out of town.
acotar Feyre would punch acomaf Feyre in the mouth
"Your hair is … clean. A pathetic compliment." 😭😭😭
(“What in the bottomless depths of the Cauldron is—”) so you're telling me sjm actually used to use real lore and incorporate it into worldbuilding. Wow. Like this is such a good line and flows so naturally from an upset Alis because of course that is how fae see the world.
I couldn’t bring myself to look at my slightly uptilted eyes. I knew I’d see Nesta or my mother looking back at me.
I’d sometimes wondered if that was why my sister had insulted me about my looks. I was a far cry from ugly, but…
I bore too much of the people we’d hated and loved for Nesta to stand it. For me to stand it, too.
The dynamic between Nesta, Feyre and the ghost of their mother could have been one of the realist, rawest elements of this series...

"Mates are equals" and "Like calls to like"
With all due to respect, I think many people are forgetting that these phrases exclusively are referring to power.
P - O - W - E - R
First off- like calls to like- NOT about mating bonds. It's about power reacting to other power. Examples:
Feyre being able to find the Book of Breathings because they're both Made
Nesta being able to find the Dread Trove because they're both Made
Secondly- "mates are equals" - also referring to power. It's not about personality traits, y'all!
"they're mates because they both are nerds and are very competitive" - This is unequivocally not what SJM meant by mates are equal. After all, couples like Feysand and Nessian aren't actually all that similar personality-wise. This is why Rhysand notes that some mates (such as his and Tamlin's parents) find they are not compatible emotionally.
Mates in ACOTAR and how they are matched:
Feyre and Rhysand: Made from the power of all 7 High Lords + Strongest High Lord in history.
Nesta and Cassian: Lady Death who stole power from the Cauldron + Lord of Bloodshed, one of two strongest Illyrians in history.
Elain and Lucien: Cauldron made Seer + heir of Day Court.
Helion and LoA: High Lord of Day Court + Female from one of the strongest families in Autumn.
Let's hear it from the Suriel itself
“How can I possibly be his mate?” Mates were equals—matched, at least in some ways.
“He is the most powerful High Lord to ever walk this earth. You are … new. You are made of all seven High Lords. Unlike anything. Are you two not similar in that? Are you not matched?”

Here are some of my random thoughts on Starborn and Dusk lineage, and other acotar5(6) speculations(because why sarah?):
I've been running through my head how to NOT make Rhys and the Archerons distant cousins like Rowan and Aelin are, since it seems the story is going that way and... idk, with fae living so long, it kind of feels like they wouldn't be THAT distant of cousins, at least on Rhys' side, so here I am with my mental gymnastics with my headcanons/theories:
-The Starborn power is kind of sentient, like the cauldron or HOW, and can choose who it manifests in(within the starborn line, or by those being..made?). Maybe the Staborn power is the oldest Fae power, closely related to the cauldron and that's why Bryce kept wondering if her power was like the Asteri's, but later says it's pure undiluted power or something like that in hofas.
-The glowing power in Feyre was from Rhys(not Helion like they speculated in acomaf) and his drop of power in her, and it manifested in Feyre because she is worthy of it.
-a little off topic, but Rhys is Theia and Fionn's descendant(a given), while Cassian and Azriel are descendants of Enalius(and somehow hold most of his power?). I think that's why they were meant to find each other, because Fionn and Enalius were besties forever and their power calls to each other and now I'm gonna go cry about their friendship.
-on to the sisters: I think the Cauldron holds Starborn power and gave that power willingly to Elain because it adores her. That's why she glowed when made. Because it chooses who to manifest in, and I think that might be Elain in the future(and why she hears the heartbeat through the stone- Dusk's heart? The land is calling her?). Since Nesta stole her own power from the Cauldron, I think she has it too, but her power manifests as death either because the cauldron is corrupted by the asteri, and thats what she grabbed, or it just wasn't willingly given so it's darker? At the end of acosf, she can feel another entity, the mother, or maybe it's just the Cauldron(which is probably the same thing) letting her keep that small bit of power. Anyway, all that to say why she probably had an eightpointed star(starborn symbol) in her bargain tattoo.
In the end, even though i dont want it, they're probably cousins lol. Since the bone carver talked about the clever fae that trapped them in the prison(obv Silene) that lives in some human lines(most likely the archerons).
I know I'm all over the place, but my original theory, before hofas, was that Starborn was just another term for Asteri and fae mixed descendants. It would've explained why their powers were similar. Like if Lanthys was Asteri(hofas tells us he wasn't), that's why he wanted to be with Nesta and rule the fae. Honestly, he sounded so much like the Asteri... but I digress. That doesn't seem to be the case since Bryce talked about her power not being similar to Asteri, but just pure power in hofas(hofas was all over the place, so who fcking knows).
Theia seemed to get her power from the Dusk Court lands(heart) willingly- like she was chosen. That's why I hope the Starborn power isn't just about lineage, so Feyre doesn't have to be Rhysand's (albeit distant) cousin, lol.
Why can't the Archerons have their own special lineage? Maybe a fae that helped Silene, and where the Archesian amulet came from? C'mon, Sarah!
-on another note, Mor is definitely from the starborn line too, right? Or is she of the Night court line that Silene didn't marry into? Maybe that's what Rhysand meant when he said her people used to rule the territory. He's the one that's actually from the Dusk Court line that Silene kept secret. Ugh, I'm confused now.
Edit: the more I think about it, Mor probably isn't from the Dusk line, since Silene looks just like Rhys' sister and Rhys and Ruhn resemble each other (Theia's genes). Silene's son probably took over after his father, causing some upset since Silene was an outsider and not from the Night Court line.
Now that hofas is done, I really wish sjm would explain some of these things.

A Mama Archeron crack theory/headcanon
Before I begin this insane, potentially rambling post, I’d like to thank the wonderful @elainsweetcobalt. You are such an amazing friend to me, a beautiful soul and overall good, strong person. (Just in case you haven’t heard that in a while.) Te amo 💕
She and I have spent many nights discussing ridiculous plot points, what we wished would happen, what we hope for and (obviously) crack theories in the ACoTaR/SJM universe, and because of that I was able to flesh out some of this thanks to her help.
Now to the meat and potatoes:
What if Mama Archeron is the Mother?
My theory/head canon is that Mama Archeron (The Mother) was a truly immortal being. She roamed the earth, not just Prythian or the Continent, because why not?, She’s immortal, and at some point she met Papa Archeron. She used her own connections to help him in his travels and made him the Prince of Merchants with her knowledge of other cultures.
Either a bond or simply true love blossomed between them. She didn’t want to be without him and he her. So she gave up her immortality-her magic. It went into the cauldron and she put it in (what she thought) was safe keeping.
The Mother had never actually raised her creations; She never birthed them. So when Nesta was born, although she did love her child, she was unsure of how to show it. (I want to stop for a sec and say I’m not trying to excuse the abuse and neglect the sisters endured by their mother, just putting together a narrative for a wild theory. Please don’t come at me) since she didn’t know how to show it, Mother chose to teach her daughter how to persevere in high society to try and ensure Nesta wouldn’t be disrespected or taken advantage of.
When Elain was born, she favored Papa Archeron. While Mother loved both of her daughters, she unintentionally gave Elain a gentler life because she looked more like the man she gave up her magic for. She then put more responsibility on Nesta to protect her sister.
Then came Feyre, followed shortly after by Mother’s illness. She hadn’t expected to fall ill-hadn’t considered it. She used to be immortal! It never occurred to her that humans sometimes died of illness, or that she could be one of them. She did, however, see Feyre’s resilience and determination, even at a young age.
Despite having given up her magic, a tiny amount still remained. I believe this is what allowed the batboys to feel their bonds with the sisters before they were turned. When Mother was on her deathbed, she was struck with a vision-her first and only since she became human-of Feyre (who was saying her goodbyes at the time).
Flashes of Feyre’s life: poverty, hunting, falling for Tamlin, her trials, Rhysand, Velaris, becoming High Lady. But most importantly, Mother saw her youngest daughter mated and in love, holding her own child, and with her sisters and their own loves beside her-laughing and smiling.
Mother asked her to take care of the family because she saw that Feyre would lead them to a better life despite the hardships that would come after her death.
Fast forward to the sisters being kidnapped and thrown in the cauldron. Elain went first. The cauldron held her immortality and magic, therefore a piece of their mother was inside it. When Elain was pulled into the water the magic recognized her. Not because it knew her as The Mother’s child, but because she favored Papa Archeron.
The cauldron/The Mother’s magic gifted her everything it could, because it was reminded of the man she loved.
When Nesta went in, not only was Nesta already angry (rightfully so) but she was resentful and wanted revenge, so without remorse or a second thought, Nesta stole from it. HOWEVER, what she stole was actually a piece of The Mother’s soul (possibly the last bit of magic that left her when she succumbed to her illness as a mortal.)
When Nesta saved Feyre and Nyx, that piece of soul was released-NOT Nesta’s power as we thought-and Mama Archeron saved her daughter and grandson to ensure the vision she had on her deathbed came true. She was who Cassian saw.
Please take all of this with a HEAPING pile of salt. It’s just a crazy theory that was fun to think up and piece together, and I’m still not sure it entirely finished.

I really hate acotar reddit rn with how they view Feyre as weak, no personality, and too perfect. Just recently, I saw a comment under an obv Feyre anti post that “she’s only kind and brave what now?” Idk maybe being a b*tch doesn’t always equate to being strong. I just hate how acotar reddit perceives Feyre in a very misogynistic way. It’s fine if you can’t relate with her but to say that she’s weak just because she has a different trauma response from yours is not it and is completely insensitive to those who can relate to Feyre. Saying things like “too untouchable” or “too perfect” dismisses the journey she went through in the trilogy and how she recovered from her trauma. For someone that values objectivity and canonicity in the books, acotar reddit sure likes to twist narratives just to lift up their faves.
Hey there <3,
I completely agree. And unfortunately it’s not just Reddit. The same arguments can be seen by antis here too.
Feyre’s whole journey in the original series constantly highlights that Feyre isn’t perfect? I don’t get why they assume that she is? But it’s probably because not being perfect doesn’t mean she’s problematic either. Because she isn’t. Feyre isn’t perfect but she’s not problematic either. That’s why the antis like to twist the narrative and blame Feyre for everything wrong that happened in the series that wasn’t her fault and accuse her of war crimes or blame her for Ne.sta being SA’d. Like huh?!?! (and yes. these are real arguments made by antis in their 20’s/30’s)
Feyre has so much to offer. Ne.sta doesn’t. Feyre’s power and reputation—not as High Lady or Rhys’ mate/wife—but as Feyre, the human girl who saved all the fae, spans the entirety of Prythian and beyond. And a perfect example of this is when Balthazar didn’t want to kill N.esta—not because of Ne.stas powers that were apparently so scary—but because he didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Feyre’s wrath. Nesta’s sister. And Vassa crossed a whole continent to find Feyre Cursebreaker for help. Not High Lady Feyre, not Rhys’ mate, but Feyre Cursebreaker!!!!!
People respect and love her. People care about her and would do anything for her. People are intimidated by what she did throughout the series but still respect her. The same can’t be said about Ne.sta. No one respects her. No one cares about her. The only thing she had to offer was her powers…and now they’re gone. Literally no one gives af about her, except her two friends, her mate, and somehow the sister she abused her whole life.
And these antis love to compare specific characters to Feyre—example: Viviane—to make Feyre look/seem weaker…but all they’re doing is making her look so much better? Viviane and Feyre are friends through Mor—whom they hate. They say that Viviane deserves to be High Lady more than Feyre and even go as far to say that she is the first High Lady, yet still to this day Viviane is only a consort and that’s it. They love to act like N.esta and Viviane would be besties but completely forget that Viviane doesn’t interact with N.esta and couldn’t gaf about her. Feyre is her own person with her own powerful reputation that everyone knows—before she even became fae—, and they respect her and are grateful for her. Nes.ta is just Feyre’s horrible older sister that stole powers from the cauldron and throws temper tantrums at 25 years old.
N.esta is just a nobody sister with a reputation for being snobby and rude, while Feyre is genuinely someone to be respect and be cautious about at the same time. Ne.sta is all bark and no bit while Feyre is genuinely someone to be cautious of. She’s more sly and quiet when it comes to her threats. She may seem kind but cross her and you’re literally dead. That’s why the antis thinks she’s weak. Because Feyre is actually the one that “doesn’t need to resort to threats”. While threats is all N.esta has going for her. That’s it.
But they clearly do all this this to uplift their fave because she is both problematic and not perfect. She is the definition of a horrible character with no empathy or remorse for anyone but herself. Feyre is selfless but N.esta is probably the most selfish person in the series. Nes.ya never had to make any sacrifices, while every other character did. And that’s because she’s spoilt rotten. The antis know this. And no matter how hard they try to argue about it or justify her actions, no amount of justifications can erase what’s canon. They also know this too. This is why they completely attack Feyre. Because they’re relating a little too hard to N.esta and her treatment of others especially Feyre. So that’s why they feel the constant need to make N.esta look like a hero, while victim blaming Feyre and trying to turn her into a villain. Because they feel a little too guilty and don’t want to confront that part of themselves so instead they attack Feyre and those who relate to her while enabling N.esta and her fans abusive behaviour. Because they know they’re wrong and can’t stand it.
And it’s also because N.estas/Ne.ssians story was such a flop that they are going feral with the rage and disappointment and feel the need to take it out in the Feyre fandom because Sarah literally loves Feyre so much. They thought Ne.sta would be a “queen of queens” but she wasn’t. She’s just a useless side character again by the end. The purpose of n.estas story and powers was literally just to continue Feysand’s story and set up this crossover, that Rhys seems to be the main highlight of because of his links to Bryce and Ruhn.. That’s it. Her story and powers are completely irrelevant while Feyre, Rhys and their story was so important for the series and this crossover.
So…No matter how many headcanons, fanfics or otherworldly arguments you make, it doesn’t erase what’s in canon. And in canon, N.esta was never a good person, but Feyre always was, even when she wasn’t perfect!!!! And if there is ever a weak character, it’s Nes.ta. Not Feyre.

Here is one of the reasons Elain doesn’t belong with Azriel.
Elain emits this light, she has a bright personality and she just has this presence. Azriel emits darkness, literally because he’s a shadow singer (I understand that he has no control over that, I still love Azriel). Azriel’s shadows run from Elain because of this light that encompasses her. Azriel and Elain are polar opposite’s, day and night simple as that.
Nesta in ACOSF when visiting the Spring Court with Cassian said that a place like the Spring Court was made for someone like Elain, if the High Lord wasn’t an asshole. A place like the Night Court doesn’t suit Elain as well as it suits Azriel. Elain kind of fits into Velaris but Velaris is called the City of Starlight meaning it’s meant to be enjoyed more at night. Elain is a flower grower, she enjoys the sunlight more. Azriel doesn’t mind the dark having grown up in it (I feel so bad for him, he didn’t deserve that childhood) and light chases away shadows.
Now onto the Fact that Lucien’s actual heritage ties him to Helion, High Lord of the Day Court. If Lucien became High Lord of the Day Court (which I hope doesn’t happen anytime soon because I love Helion. Don’t get me wrong I also love Lucien), Elain would fit right in there has to be great Botanical Gardens in the Day Court with all the sun light it gets. Now if Lucien ever gets back into Tamlin’s good graces or if Tamlin ever gets his act together, Lucien might go back to Spring Court, Elain would fit in there more than Feyre ever did. This is all hypothetical assuming that Elain eventually accepts the mating bond.
Azriel is a great male, he’s just too dark for Elain. I’ll say it again I love Azriel, he’s just not suited for Elain. Don’t get me started on the entitlement he feels towards her, that was brought up in his bonus chapter of ACOSF. Azriel and Gwyn are more suited for each other, they both have deep trauma, and Azriel saved Gwyn (He might be the only male, Gwyn would ever let touch her romantically after what happened in Sangravah). Don’t get me wrong Elain has trauma too but I don’t think that what happened to her inside the Cauldron was as bad as what happened to Nesta. The reason I think this is because during the final battle with Hybern, when Feyre touched the Cauldron and it whipped her to where Cassian and Nesta were fighting against the King of Hybern and Elain came out of nowhere and stabbed him in the neck. Feyre said and I quote “The Cauldron purred in Elain’s presence…” I think the Cauldron treated Elain better than it had treated Nesta. The big difference between the moment when they went in is that Nesta fought and Elain didn’t. The Cauldron welcomed Elain. It tried to give Nesta a gift and she stole from it.
Azriel and Gwyn make more sense together because of the darkness around them, Azriel’s shadows love Gwyn and can be around her. Lucien and Elain make more sense together because of the light that surrounds them, Lord and Lady of light.

I am really hoping that in the next book, we’ll actually find out what Nesta’s powers are. The mysterious silver flames. Maybe SJM got her crap together and will let us know what Death is. What Nesta stole from the Cauldron. All that jazz. You know, all the things that we did NOT FIND OUT IN NESTA’S BOOK!

Note
It got me wondering if the mother actually does like nesta. Gods in all myths have symbol of power and pissed when it’s touched. Nesta broke it and stole power and mother hasn’t appeared pissed
She vows to give back all of her power that she stole from the cauldron but the mother seems to stop that last bit from going back so I read it as either the Mother has plans for her or she didn’t want Nesta to sacrifice everything - but it means Nesta still has her tattoo from making a deal with the Cauldron and she hasn’t fulfilled it by not giving it all back…

ACOSF SUCKS
So I read ACOTAR through to ACOWAR like two years ago. Good for just getting back into reading. Decided to “reread” now because I needed a ~meh~ book to fall asleep to. ACOTAR was good to sleep to, ACOMAF was okay but I got pissed off towards the end lmao. Skipped ACOWAR, went to ACOFAS and that was alright to sleep to
ACOSF ignited my fury so much I was awake all night. How fucking DARE Rhysand? Amren can fuck off, too. Mor, Azriel, and Elain are just so??? Eh. But this book should be called “A Cort of Character Assassination” because with 25% left I want to hurl everyone out of a window.
The two previously most powerful characters are now throwing a fit and doing everything they can to make sure the actually most powerful person gets no agency or say
Spoilers
Like how fucking DARE Rhysand hide the dangers of the pregnancy from Feyre? Like “oh she’ll be sad”?? IT’S HER BODY AND HER LIFE RHYS you’re no better than Tamlin. I hope Feyre handed him his ass and cut off his dick for that stunt. Because threathening to kill Nesta because she dared to tell Feyre the truth? Never have I wanted to punch a charachter as much as I wanted to punch him. I wanted Cassien to sock him, but Cassien is such a “oh no can’t stand against my highlord!” like weren’t you calling yourself brothers two seconds ago? Rhysand FUCK OFF
And Amren?? With the whole “you don’t deserve your power” tantrum?? Doesn’t matter what Nesta deserves because it’s HER power, and she and Rhys had no right to keep Nesta from knowing her powers. Like what is ignorance meant to do? Make the powers go away?? Has that worked? No. Your thousands of years old Amren, don’t be so fucking dumb.
Then there’s the whole STEALING from Nesta with “these relics were meant for YOU Rhys” like they’re SCRAMBLING to get some upperhand over Nesta because they can’t stand that she’s more powerful than them, so they steal and take credit from her. “The cauldron gave powers to Nesta to make sure you got these items” like what? Nesta STOLE those powers which is why she went through what she did and what’s happening is happening.
Also when other characters are given hundreds plus years to recover from their trauma, but Nesta is like a year from a massively traumatic event and they’re staging an intervation because... she spent what’s the equivalent of a sneeze to the court in one night.
Like was SJM trying to make the fearies more cruel or something midway through? Like wtf HAPPENED? Rhys and Amren were always kind of sketchy, but they made up for their shitty personality in different ways... this book is just a FUCK RHYS AND AMREN book

for the people who are still using elain's anatomy as an explanation for elriel can't be together ! kindly stop saying this one stupid excuse coz elain being lucien mate is more valid explanation than this stupid anatomy issue!
feyre was a shape shifter! she could easily shifted her anatomy like the illyrian! yeah use of magic could be harmful for her but that was in case of finding the dead troves as they are more than deadly. but shifting her own shape to deliver a babe won't have been that difficult! she was highlady with seven highlords powers yet the author put nesta in that setuation just to highlight nesta's love for feyre! that she actually cares for her sister and her family and also a way to make nesta lose her power or give the power she stole from the cauldron back to it.
besides nesta asked for the knowledge of how to save feyre ! to show her how to save her sister and her baby! and with that knowledge she changed her own shape as well. so basically its nesta who did the change not the cauldron and nesta mentioned it to cassian that she changed her own anatomy as well! but can you give a guarantee taht she didn't done it for elain as well? she notice az's discomfort during solistice and knew why he was behaving like that but she didn't say it out loud because it was his secret to tell not her's.
why would nesta anounce that she changed elain's anatomy in her own book while neither elain nor azriel has revealed their relationship infront of anyone! why sarah put a endgame plot in her sister's book? like people don't even know what's happening between them except for some intense moments and nesta will go like " hey guys you know what i also changed elain's anatomy as i know she and az are dating or meeting under staircase at the dead of night! "🤷🤷🤷
and if nesta haven't done that even then elain is blessed by the cauldron! she can simply do the bargaining for herself! or she can simply ask the cauldron for it. it is a fantasy novel after all!
but giving this explanation that she can't deliver a baby and she is going to die while delivering shows the ridiculous mindset these real life people are having! if you don't like a ship thats okay. you are free to enjoy your ship ! but by giving these kind of description and explanation because u don't like the character is ridiculous and shows how cheap mindsets you people are having!
and while you are mocking a fantasy character where anything is possible and saying the characters should die while giving birth there are real life people who are suffering through the similar problems in real life. an dno matter how many times one point out the issues with this kind of mindset and explanation people are determined not to change themselves.
you have a new ship to express their merits if they stay together! you have a already mating bond to explain the problem with this ship, you can find thousands of valid reasons to validate your ship yet people are choosing to indulge themselves in this kind of shameful explanations!
