Mirabel gets injured 1
* It wasn’t suppose to happen
* Nothing like that should have happen
* But the family could never forget the blood
* Or Antonio’s cries
* Or Julieta’s scream…
* The day was starting as usual
* It was six months until Antonio’s ceremony and the family was having a usual day at in town
* Nothing was wrong
* But an accident happen
* It shouldn’t have, the donkeys got out and they were more rowdier than usual, they were going all over the town bumping into stalls and almost going into stores
* They were getting closer to the center as Luisa tried her best to round them up quickly
* Mirabel was carrying Antonio to where Felix and Pepa were at, it was at the center of the town where there was a new house being made for a young couple
* “Mami” Antonio wave from where he was in Mirabel’s arms
* Pepa and Felix turned and wave back as Pepa went toward the duo to take Antonio
* The donkey came messing up the entire construction
* The donkey ran all over the site knocking down wooden pools makes the workers run away in fear of something happening
* The rest of the family came running with Luisa to the site
* Felix was telling them to get away
* A beam holding two giant wood planks came down right where Mirabel and Antonio was
* Pepa open her mouth to warn them, she scream as she move to get to them out of the way
* But Mirabel was quicker ”Tia here!”she threw Antonio to his Mami
* As if in slow motion the family watched as the beam fell
* Right on top of Mirabel
I am slowly digging myself into the angst side of the fandom…

in all the evil au's - what happens if mirabel finds out? would she get pissed? scared?
Ok so. Base Evil she's not too beat up about it. She knows that they were only protecting her and they only want the best, she doesn't really blame them, though she is iffy on the violence, not that they do it often. Not really scared, cause she knows she's not in an imminent danger. (Unless we're talking about EVIL Madrigals, but I haven't really done that au much justice 🌚)
Antonio, she's a little mad, ngl. She raised him to be better, so she does wonder what happened in that time. She is flattered that he's protecting her but. Bad execution </333
Camilo she's not all surprised. Even when young Camilo was a little gremlin, so all the (malicious) pranks and straight up disrespect does not phase her in the slightest. She is a little scared, though. But it's fine, Camilo would never hurt her.

Seeing the thunderous look on Alma’s face, Isabela had no qualms about cheerfully telling Osma, “You just lost your decorator.”
Osma hardly seemed to hear her. Her wide-eyed gaze was locked on Alma, who stalked over with Sofia Guzman at her side.
“What,” Alma said quietly, dangerously. “Did you just call my son?”
“I-I- I didn’t mean- I…Er, I just…” Osma looked more panicked by the minute and utterly stunned. Isabela knew that, once upon a time, Osma would never have been called out so publicly or bluntly, let alone by her abuela. No one would have called her out like this at all.. That was the problem.
“I believe the exact term was fish killing brujo,” Dolores said coldly. Once more, Isabela braced herself for a thunderclap that never came; Dolores’s resemblance to Pepa was downright eerie in that moment.
“I see,” Alma said. She drew herself up, anger burning in her eyes.
*
When Osma Pezmeurto makes the mistake of insulting Bruno in front of Alma, the family call a meeting.
You don't get to ask the Madrigals for help and then insult one of their own.

Another question having todo with your au with Alma, Does Casita still fall like in the movie ?
It actually doesn’t. Cracks do start to form as a result of Pepa’s stress with so much pressure being placed on her to keep her emotions in check.
There is a concern that she may bring down the house. When the cracks form, Alma blames Pepa and gas her stay in her room, which in my au blocks her abilities so they stay only in her room.
Mirabel will be a key part of helping poor Pepa. Sometimes she will ask Isabela to make lavender and chamomile, which she in turn takes to Julieta for help turning them into a tea she can take to Pepa whenever Alma is not by her side

Hey Encanto fandom this is your reminder to please stop making Camilo the “overprotective little brother” of Dolores when it comes to her being with Mariano. It’s not cute and it’s not adorable and it’s not funny. It’s creepy and invasive and disturbing and sexist, and I’m disgusted that it’s so prevalent. You need to stop.
#like#the overprotective male family member who doesn't want any guy getting close to their female relative trope is so overdone and tiring#not to mention blatantly misogynistic#like men don't get to police women's sexuality and romantic agency like that okay#especially not when your fifteen and the woman is twenty-one like no you need to sit your ass the fuck down#plus it's actually pretty eerie when you think about it#i always find it weird when men are so protective of their sisters' cousins' and daughters' sexuality and virginity and who they date#as if their virginity is all they have to offer#but for some reason--not--it also always gives me an incestuous vibe#like seeing people write camilo being so overprotective of dolores makes it look like he wants dolores for himself#even if the people writing it don't realize it#and anyway who she likes and who she dates and who she fucks is none of his damn business stop trying to make it so#toxic masculinity and machismo are not cute men do not get to control the women around them#not even if they're daughters nieces or granddaughters but we're talking about older sisters here because that's what dolores is to camilo#and besides she's a bad bitch and a grown-ass woman she doesn't need camilo to protect her and it's not like mariano is abusing her#just stop doing this already god this fandom's sexism and misogyny is always increasing#dolores madrigal#camilo madrigal#not isabela madrigal#encanto#encanto fandom#encanto fandom salt#sexism#misogyny#fandom sexism#fandom misogyny#male entitlement#tw incest#sexist tropes

🎤Hair ties🦎
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine: playing with the hair of the Madrigal twins.
🦎🎤☀🦎🎤☀🦎🎤☀🦎🎤☀🎤🦎☀🎤🦎☀🎤🦎
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🦎☀ • Camilo doesn't really let anyone touch his hair, well besides his mamí. But he doesn't get a choice in that one, mostly because he is a mama's boy and can't deny his mama when she asks to brush his hair for old time's sake.
🦎☀ • When you both started dating he was ready to give you the hairbrush and any hair ties he could find in Casita, Camilo might be a natural flirt but when he falls he falls hard.
🦎☀ • he sits on the floor against his bed as he reads the new comic his Papí gave him for his birthday, leaning back as you run your fingers through his curls. He practically purrs at the feeling. It relaxes him every time.
His hair is actually very smooth and barely has any knots, mostly from the trauma he gained from his mother when he was younger about not keeping his hair well-kept as she yanked the hairbrush (if you know you know)
🦎☀ • Once you finished taking two sides of his hair and pulling each side tightening the hair tie and securing the high bun, his bangs hung around his face like his Mamí. He looked to his side stretching to see himself in his mirror from his sitting position and smiled. He liked it.
His Mamí was complimentary of his new hairstyle and was pleased to match with her son she had a rainbow over her head the rest of the day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🦎🎤 • yeah. No. He doesn't let anyone touch his hair, and practically runs from his mamá when he sees her rushing toward him with a hairbrush, "Carlos Control that hair, or I'll do it for you!"
"No! Mamá it's my hair!"
*thunders*
🦎🎤 • When you start dating, it'll take some time before you get the privilege of touching his hair. He will try and hint at wanting his hair played with by resting his head in your lap but angles his head so his hair is perfectly in reach and accessible if you still don't get the hint? He huffs before grabbing your hair and placing it on his head.
🦎🎤 • His head rests on your lap as you both talk about your days (well, it's mostly just him braging about all the successful pranks he pulled that day) as you play with his hair. His hair is soft but has tangles for sure, no matter how many times his mamá lectured him about protecting his hair as he slept and detangling it regularly as she ripped a hairbrush through his curls before using a mountain of products to help with the detangling process it just never stuck.
But if you take the time to detangle his hair gently with few tugs as possible, he would appreciate it even if he won't say it out loud.
🦎🎤 • He barely notices his hair is in a high bun until he sits up and his hair doesn't cover one of his eyes like it usually does. He kinda just grumbles but is too lazy to untie the scrunchie knowing he would receive an earful if he just yanked it out not only from you but from his Mamá.
His mamá is very grateful for you and your service, if she had to detangle his hair one more time she was sure to thunder from his constant disregard of her words.

Tía Y/N (Madrigal triplets & Reader) part 2
Tumblr media
Part 1
_____________________
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"
"I WASN’T EVEN PART OF THIS!"
"FÉLIX, I WANT A DIVORCE!"
"JULIETA, COME BACK HERE!"
“YES JULI, COME BACK!
“NEVER!”
“SHE DOESN’T HIT YOU THAT HARD!”
"BETTER YOU THAN ME!"
“YOU’RE THE ELDEST! YOU HAVE TO SACRIFICE FOR YOUR BABY SIBLINGS”
“I KNOW NO SIBLINGS BUT THE ONE WITH THE CHANCLA BEHIND US, YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN”
“JULIETAAAAAAAA”
Alma tried not to laugh and maintain a serious face, but it was quite difficult when her triplets, all 50 years old with their own families, ran as a soul that the devil carries to avoid what everyone is afraid of: la chancla.
She didn't really know what was happening, it had been a quiet and normal morning, with the whole family taking a day off to enjoy each other's company. She had been embroidering with Mirabel in the living room (she did it more and more often, in an attempt to fix the relationship with her younger granddaughter), when Isabela and Camilo had entered laughing out loud, with Felix and Luisa smiling behind them.
They did not even have time to ask what happened before three green, yellow and blue spots flew next to them, with a very angry Y/N yelling from upstairs.
Alma was no fool, she knew that you, her eldest daughter and the one who reminded her most of Pedro (at least in appearance), had long taken the role that corresponded to her in the life of the triplets. On the one hand, she was happy they had you, but on the other it hurt her heart and guilt consumed her for knowing that she was never really present in her children's life to the point where they had to turn to you for help.
She never knew when Bruno had told you that he didn't want to have his own family, that he was not interested in having a partner of any kind. She wasn't present when Pepa had run to you on the first day of her period, or in the long night talks about crushes when she met Félix. She didn't even know that Julieta liked women too.
Just a few months ago she had discovered that Pepa calmed down when she was caressed, that Bruno liked to play the guitar or that Julieta loved painting and that the beautiful pictures in your room were made by her. In truth, she didn't know her own children. But you did.
You had been with them on every step of the road, even when they took different paths, you had never let them be lost for a long time. A task that you later performed with the grandchildren as well. Isabela and Dolores had learned to walk with you, Luisa always looked up to you especially when she had a problem, Camilo told you the secrets that he could never tell his parents, Antonio still followed you around all day when he was feeling sad and Mirabel...for the girl you were the whole world. There was absolutely nothing that she didn't tell you.
You were the only other family member besides her grandmother who didn't have a gift, you understood what it was to grow up with magical siblings when there was nothing special in you, you understood the looks of people's judgment, murmurs and teasing. That was why you had made your special mission to make the girl protected from all that.
Little by little, you wove a warm blanket of love and humility, you taught her that she did not need to have a gift to be a light, to shine and be a source of comfort. Mirabel could be identical to Julieta in appearance, but she was definitely a coal copy of you in everything else.
It took her too long to realize it, but now Alma understood that the miracle, the magic, was not what united them, that it was only a feature that most of them shared and nothing else. The answer was you. Really, you were the angel who kept the family together.
...And that's why no one should mess with you, unless they wanted all of heaven's strength chasing them. Or that it was one of the triplets. 50 years and they had not yet learned not to make you angry? Or perhaps it was their way of getting your attention when they felt you were abandoning them for the grandchildren.
A silly thought perhaps, but children will always be children, and the age did not matter, they would always need even if it was just a hug from their mother. And you were definitely the triplets' mother, no matter how much it hurt her.
"What do you think happened?" Mirabel whispered, taking her out of her thoughts
"I don't know" Alma smiled "but it must have been bad if your mother is running too"
It was true. Of the three, Julieta was usually the one that was spared from your fury. It was no secret to anyone that she was your favorite sister/daughter/family/person, despite Pepa and Bruno's anger, who would always get offended when her sister avoided your scolding.
"What about Julieta?! She also helped with the joke!" they would said
"Maybe, but she looks cute doing it" you'd shrug "besides, who could be mad at this precious face?" You would add while taking your sister by the cheeks
Your younger siblings would cross their arms and looked at you with an annoyed pout while a black cloud hovered on the redhead, and Julieta simply let you use her cheeks as a squishy and fill her face with kisses (something she took from you and did with her niece, nephews and daughters too), while she smirked at them.
The only times she actually got scolded was when she wasn't taking care of her own health. So either Julieta just wanted to do exercise or whatever the hell they did was really stupid and dangerous.
"YOU'RE ALL SO GROUNDED!!" You growled when you managed to get to the first floor.
You cursed Casita for siding with the triplets and letting them run while it trapped you on the second floor, but that didn't mean they were safe. Nope, there was no escape.
"What happened, mija?" Alma asked you walking up to you
"Your mocosos share the same fried brain cell and unfortunately for them, it wasn't Julieta's turn to have It" you growled
Your mother laughed and rolled her eyes fondly. She knew that you loved your siblings more than anything and that any insult you might have for them would never come out of the heart, just from a motherly anger, and there was something she could think that this was about.
"Did they try to test Julieta's gift with poisoned food again?" She asked
"They tried to test my patience" you answered "they used arsenic, mom. ARSENIC!"
Okay, that was new. Alma felt bad for thinking it, but she could have expected something that stupid and irresponsible from Pepa and Bruno, but Julieta? She knew better than that, she wasn't a silly girl who didn't know what arsenic could do. She must have been really desperate to get your attention if she let her siblings drag her into that.
"How are they even alive?" She gasped
"Félix caught them before they could even finish the empanadas and ran to tell me" you sighed "and I'm glad he did"
"Of course, I don't want to thinking what could have happened to them"
"And because now I can kill them myself"
Alma looked at you for a moment. You were frowning and looked ready to hit whoever stood in front of you, but she was still your mother and she could see the fear in your eyes, and honestly, she felt it too. She followed your gaze to see her younger children still running and she made a note to scold them right after you.
You felt your mom's aura changing and knew she was on your side, so you smirked and took your sandal with a single move, your eyes never leaving your adorably stupid siblings.
"Who do you want me to hit?" You asked, just for fun
Alma thought about it for a second. Julieta would definitely get the worst scolding once they were back for letting the other two convince her to do something stupid, but you both knew it hadn't been her idea. It probably wasn't even Bruno's, but there was someone who had never feared death nor god.
"The middle one" she told you
You nodded and focused on your victim for a moment before your chance flew directly at her. Your smirk never left your face and grew even more when Pepa fell to the ground after it hit her right in the head. Bruno and Julieta didn't even look at their fallen sister, they just ran faster to save their lives.
"AND YOU BETTER BRING IT BACK TO ME, YOUNG LADY" You yelled at the redhead while the whole family laughed behind you.
These three would be the end of you one day, you were sure of that. But god knew you wouldn't have them any other way. Besides, they were your cute little babies, so you guessed that gave them some points too.

The Madrigal-Fontana family
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mateo Vicente Madrigal Fontana
He is a twin, and the oldest child of his family. His gift is to make astral trips to any part of the world by meditation. When he's using his gift, a third eye glows pink on his forehead and he can also levitate. He's the edgy cousin of the family.
Fun facts about him:
Mateo doesn't like his middle name (Vicente). The only one who can call him that is his mother.
He's a calm boy, but gets into trouble very often 'cause he has no filter and can sound "rude."
He's Itzel's favorite child, and they're very close.
He and his twin sister are the closest, and do many things together, and although sometimes he can't stand her and treats her rudely, he's always behind his sister, protecting her.
He likes poetry and is a hopeless romantic.
His favorite place is the beach, and he goes there whenever he needs peace.
When he uses his gift, the pink third eye that appears on his forehead is real and functional. His sister sometimes pokes it to annoy him.
He likes to meditate in Dolores' room.
He's the only one of the Madrigal-Fontana children who got Bruno's wavy hair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dalia Elizabeth Madrigal Fontana
She's Dalia, Mateo's twin sister. Dalia has the gift of making clones of herself and other people. She can make up to five clones, and they function as a hive mind if she wants. She can also let them act on autopilot. She's daddy's little princess, and the spoiled brat of her family.
Fun facts about her:
Dalia is Bruno's favorite child. The two of them formed a very strong bond since she was a baby, and Bruno fulfills many of her whims. For the same reason, she grew up accustomed to getting what she wants, and if she doesn't get it, she gets frustrated and cries. She knows that's not okay, and it's something she's still working on.
Since she was a child she's very involved in the theater that her father founded and he relates a lot with her cousin Camilo, so she loves to act, and her biggest influences are the two of them. For that reason she got a gift similar to Camilo's.
Her way of showing affection, in addition words of affirmation, are her jokes. She likes to play pranks on her close family and friends.
She shows off her family quite a bit, and she's a big fan of her parents' relationship.
She gets into trouble easily because she is very talkative, mischievous and witty.
She has a strong sense of loyalty toward her loved ones, so she's the first to defend them when they are getting attacked. More specifically, Bruno and Esmeralda.
Her best friend is her twin brother, and they both watch each other's backs.
She is a good girl, but it's better to have her as a friend than an enemy, because she brings out the worst side of her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Perla Esmeralda Madrigal Fontana
And this is Esme, the youngest of the Madrigal grandchildren. Her gift is earthbending. She's a sweet and naive girl, and since her power is directly related to her emotional strength, she's unable to get out of control. She has had problems in the town due to the limited scope of her power, and they often compare her negatively with her father.
Fun facts about her:
Esmeralda is considered the baby of the family, and her parents and siblings treat her as such.
She is abuela's favorite granddaughter because of her resemblance to Bruno, and since Esme was a child, she's been overprotective of her.
She's also very close to Julieta's daughters, especially Isabela. As a child she took her gardening together, which influenced her gift of earthbending.
Despite being introverted, she has always been a very sociable and kind girl, although a little naive.
She is such a crybaby.
She takes guitar lessons with her dad and Mirabel.
She also likes to do crafts with her mom. The two of them are in charge of making the scenery for Bruno's plays.
She is the most attached to Bruno's rats of the Madrigal-Fontana children, and there isn't a day when she doesn't have a rat on top of her.
Of her siblings, she's the most similar to the Madrigal family, and she inherited many of her abuelo Pedro's traits.
She doesn't get along well with her maternal grandmother, who has always preferred her sister Dalia for being more like the Fontanas.
I don't think I've ever published anything of my fankids here, sooo... here they are! I tried to use a color palette consistent with the Madrigal family, without filling it completely with green. It was also very fun to make the patterns representative of their gifts.

Julieta vs Pepa: The Mirabel Years
* Pepa has been trying to steal Mirabel since she was a baby
* The husbands playfully argue
* While Pepa and Julieta know that if they don’t Mirabel would be taken away
* When Pepa met Mirabel the first time, she was in Julieta’s room
* Mirabel was tiny smaller than most
* Which made it a more difficult pregnancy for Julieta since she was born early
* Mirabel should have been born May 6 but instead March 6th was the day
* Pepa look at Mirabel and instantly fell in love
* “She’s mine” Pepa declared it to Julieta where she was laying in bed
* “I just gave birth, can we discuss it later? Camilo needs his mother” Julieta was amused since this wasn’t the first time it happened
* Julieta shouldn’t have let her guard down
* At 3 months Mirabel was taken away from Julieta by Pepa, she even got Felix to do it as well
* Julieta was coming back from town looking for Mirabel, Luisa was with Isabela and Dolores in Isa’s room
* Julieta knocked before hearing a come in from Pepa
* Julieta cooed at the sight
* Mirabel was in a little yellow dress while Camilo was in a yellow shirt with brown pants , Camilo at 6 months couldn’t help but be fascinated by Mirabel always touching her. Mirabel would respond with gurgle sounds of her own
* The sight was so cute Julieta couldn’t help but watch, her sobrino in his cute yellow outfit and her nina in her yellow outfit…
* Wait yellow???
* “Pepa, where are my baby clothes?”
* “She’s wearing them”
* “No the blue clothes, I remember putting her in a blue dress”
* “But they are los gemelos, they should match”
* “… she’s not yours Pepita”
* “I have no idea what you are talking about Julie”
* At 6 months to a year Mirabel would be wearing blue but would always have a yellow accessory somewhere
* By the time Mirabel was one, she was speaking in babbles, but the mothers knew she would be speaking soon
* Pepa tried to make Mirabel call her Mami first
* Julieta made sure she didn’t try to cheat, but she also repeated the word Mama to Mirabel so that she would say it
* In the end it was Luisa who won, her first word was Lulu
* Julieta:1 Pepa: 0
* After that Mirabel would not ever stop talking
* But an incident happen around her 2nd birthday, she tripped and scrap her knee
* She cried for her Mama and was healed with an arepa
* She was still crying until Pepa came into the room with Felix holding Camilo
* Mirabel reach her hands out to her
* “Mami” she said, the room stop
* She said it again “Mami” as the sun shine brightly near Pepa’s head as she took Mirabel from her
* “Say it again Mira” “Mami!” Pepa was so happy while holding Mirabel she couldn’t keep the smile away from her face looking at Julieta
* Pepa: 1/ Julieta: 1
* Even when Mirabel didn’t get a gift, it didn’t change the way her Mami felt about her
* She did feel jealous when she was pregnant with Antonio
* Mirabel told her Mama about it and how she couldn’t she felt frustrated in feeling jealous
* Julieta told her not to worry about it any that she should not talk badly about herself
* Julieta then told Pepa of Mirabel’s insecurities about the new baby
* Pepa then went to Mirabel
* She took away all her insecurities “even when this baby is born I still love you, you’re mi hija”
* Mirabel got a new orange skirt to wear, she wore it along with a big bow from Dolores
* Pepa was happy, Julieta let her have it
* Even 5 years later after the movie they still argue
* With all of Mirabel’s clothes gone she wore yellow for the entire month
* Pepa hid her favorite skirt and made sure she wore the reds, oranges and yellows of the warm family
* However by the final month of building Casita, something happen
* Not blue nor yellow but green
* Bruno…

Ok, so, what if all the madrigal kids were put on the "golden child" pedestal? Even Mirabel (she can have a gift or no gift, it's your choice).
Isabela = The perfect girl who can create flowers. She's agile, sweet, and beautiful. If you had a bad day she can give you a few flowers to make you feel better. She can also help with birthdays, funerals, weddings, etc.
Dolores = The girl who can hear if anyone is in trouble or just someone to spill the tea with. She can also help if any person or child is going through abuse of some kind.
Luisa = Has the strength to protect anyone in the family and just help around with heavy things. She's also just as agile and almost never smudges her clothes when she's out doing chores.
Mirabel = ?
Camilo = the perfect gentleman and sweetheart of the family. Always willing to help mothers or parents have a break. Or just willing to make you laugh or smile.
Antonio = The second sweetest boy of the family. Always willing to give a hug or help around. Especially with his new gift, he can easily speak to the animals of Encanto for anything the villagers need. (And to tell the bee's Agustin isn't a threat)
(I'm already writing an au like this, but I just wanted to see what your version of the au would be like. In my version Mirabel got the gift of creating diamonds (jewelry), crystals, and pearls. You can choose if she gets a gift or not tho)
To be honest, I wouldn’t want to do an AU too similar to that of someone else’s, if that makes sense? It isn’t that I dislike the idea though.
Anyway, here are my thoughts on this:
Having all of them be the “golden child” at once kind of renders the trope pointless. If they are all perfect, they are all equal; so there wouldn’t really be a pedestal or favouritism. In addition, having so much may also make it quite messy.
But it is a very intriguing idea to play around with what each child would be like in the role.
Isabela is already the favourite in canon. I don’t have anything to add here.
Dolores is definitely an interesting case. Her gift is one of the ones usually regarded as a curse or associated with negative connotations. Which it isn’t, it is arguably one of the more helpful gifts. Combined with her passion and intelligence, she would make a very capable golden child and definitely achieve that ideal of a perfect, young lady that we see Abuela going for with Isabela in canon.
Luisa is one of the more likely to be a golden child for me. If Abuela valued more hard work than reputation, as Luisa could easily be argued as the one who does the most to benefit the community alongside her mother. At the same time, she is also this figure of bravery and protection, which easily adds to the possible idolisation of her character to the town.
Camilo is similar to Luisa. Given his optimistic spirit and the desire to bring smiles or laughter to all, he is definitely one of the more friendly and social members of the family - it is easy to imagine him being the favourite of the town because of how his work brings him so close to their lives. He’d fall into a similar trap to Isabela, hiding his more mischievous and chaotic nature, in favour of a more gentlemen persona to please Abuela.
Mirabel is not usually handled well in AUs where she’s swapped to be the favourite. She gets wildly out of character and just becomes another Señorita Perfecta Isabela or idolised for being more vulnerable (which… why? You’d have to have the same feelings to the entire town). Mirabel is the brains of her sisters (Luisa = brawn, Isabela = beauty). There is so much potential behind a mind or logic based gift and the subsequent pressures Mirabel might face as “the most intelligent girl in town”. And I will never get why nobody takes advantage of it.
Antonio is another one to see being an easy charmer. The youngest favouritism is rather common and how could you say anything bad about a sweet, little boy who can talk to animals? I haven’t seen anyone experiment with him as the favourite before, so it would be very exciting to see what someone comes up with.
