I have been consumed by the shadow and bone brain rot so I drew Wylan. The first picture is my art, which took about 8 hours on Photoshop, and the second is the reference I used. I posted this to my Instagram @con1._.1artist (Jack Wolfe actually liked it so I'm on a dopamine high) and uploaded it as a speedpaint to YouTube, linked below. It's my first time recording my art so mind the quality :) I'm thinking of doing another drawing of Alina using her powers, likely from the bag Baghra scenes where Alina's still in the blue kefta.

A tweet by Ashly Burch: "Hi! So, I'm queer. One of those old fashioned pansexuals you may have heard of. Probably not a shocker -- like half the characters I play are part of the rainbow fam." reply by New Hologram: "I'm the face model for Petra Forgewoman and only found out this year. I was elated to learn that she is a popular queer character. For most of my career, I wasn't "out"--Many of us aren't out yet when we play queer characters. Happy Belated Pride! 🏳️‍🌈✨tysm for all you do"

A Word From A Queer Actor
A year ago a fellow actor friend of mine asked me how I felt about ‘straight actors playing gay roles’ (In a I want to be a good ally/ friend way).
My response was ,and still is ,“Meh. As long as they are respectful why not? We’re actors. We play who we aren't all the time”. But since it was a short visit I never got a chance to elaborate that and  I also hated the idea of someone having to come out just to get a role.
I’m a gay trans man and I’ve played many cis-het roles, even thought I’m just starting my career. If I had to constantly come out or be questioned about my identity/ sexuality ,just to play a role, it would be exhausting, awkward as hell (stay out of my personal life yo) and possibly dangerous .This world is still so cruel to queer people no matter how many rainbow flag decals you see in the bank window.
Forcing actors like Lee Pace and now this 18 YEAR OLD to come out (or get outed like in Lee’s case)  just because they played a queer role and you thought it was your right to know cause you thought they were ‘queer bating’ you is disgusting!! Shame on you!!
You have no right to know someone’s personal life!! Also you can’t get ‘queer bated’ by real people. They aren't’ some fictional character with a ‘will they won’t they’ relationship with an angel or some bullshit, they are a human being!!
Yes, I would love for more queer actors to play queer ,and non queer, roles. Especially for trans actors. I’d love if trans actors got the chance to play ourselves or to be given the chances that so many cis actors have.
But honestly, I’d rather have the straightest- cis-ist person play a queer character if it would stop queer performers from being outed or being forced to come out.

Alexis Gregory’s Riot Act returns to West End for World AIDS Day
Following a sell-out Pride 2022 date, writer and performer Alexis Gregory’s critically acclaimed Riot Act returns to the fabulous West End cabaret venue Crazy Coqs for a special performance to mark World AIDS Day on Thursday, December 1st 2022. The hard-hitting, poignant, but outrageously funny verbatim solo-show was created from Gregory’s own interviews with a Stonewall survivor (Michael-Anthony…

So, just curious how many writers and creators will have to be forcibly outed by relentless harassment before we acknowledge that "This queer characters was written by a cishet person and that's why they're bad" is not good criticism.

10 years ago, I decided to put myself out there. I hit the ground running with no training or experience. My family expressed their doubts in me and suggested I do something "safer." I was still healing from extricating myself from multiple unhealthy friend groups and a year earlier I'd been officially diagnosed with my first "big" chronic illness. About a year after starting my career, my cat Cleo died from cancer and I was diagnosed with another. Then the next year, another. And another, and so on. Constant doctor appointments and trips to the ER for flare ups I couldn't manage. My entire career I have been sick at auditions, sick on set, taking hiatus every time my body needs time to recover. I'm on another hiatus right now trying to coordinate a complicated surgery. I'm in a lot of pain every day. I have a PET scan soon because my lymph nodes are enlarged. I'm scared. I was also closeted for most of my career. Back then, it still wasn't really as easy to be "out" in Hollywood, big or small, as queer and trans-nonbinary. Things have changed. These days, there are so many auditions where I can be myself. Even though I haven't worked much the past few years because of my health, I'm so happy looking back at the projects I've been able to do. I shouldn't have had to suffer so much in silence on set, throwing up in secret, hiding my symptoms, trying to time my pain meds so I could still function and drive home at wrap. But I feel proud. And I feel so loved. I think of all the times followers messaged me when they saw me in a random commercial or TV show. The support I get from kind people online has kept me going, especially when chronic illness, disability, and trauma has me isolated and unsure of my future. I hope that my health can get better so I can get back to it. In the meantime, I'm beaming with joy at past projects and the small personal projects I work on during my down time at home. Thank you for the support over the past 10 years. I've grown and healed so much because of it. I'm curious to find out what this next chapter of my life will be like. And I hope I can keep sharing it with you all. Petra gif by @disdaidal
