The music was blasting through the club.
You could feel the bass beating within your body each time it thumped out of the speakers.
You were having so much fun.
Key word, were.
As the song changes, you look down at your empty cup, deciding to make your way to the liquor counter, it occurs to you that you haven’t seen your friends in like four songs.
After grabbing your drink your spot Kira. You raise your hand, waving to her and you watch as her eyes go wide and she smiles.
“There she is.” She mouths, pointing towards you. You continue to make your way over when you’re met with them halfway, “Where’s Twyla?”
Kira and Leah look at each other, “She went to the bathroom, she isn’t feeling well.”
You pout slightly, sucking your drink through your straw, “Oh no. It’s her birthday.” Leah nods, “No I know. I think if she pukes a little, she’ll be fine.”
She laughs and you shrug, “Have any of you seen Clayton or any of his friends?”
You feel the energy in the room shift, almost like they didn’t expect you to ask about your own boyfriend.
“What?” You look between them confused before letting out a sigh. You look up, “Oh. There’s Tyler.” You push through them and even though they try to stop you, you pull your arm away.
You walk around the crowed of people and before you can ask Tyler anything, your gaze falls to Twyla making out with Clayton while sitting in his lap.
“What the fuck.” You watch as they snap apart and Kira runs up, “We tried to keep her busy.”
“Wait.” You look at Kira, “You two.. you.. you’re defending her? Supporting this?” You scoff in disgust, “I’m done. I don’t know what kind of friendships and relationships you guys have but I don’t want any fucking part of it.”
You drop your cup on the floor, spilling it over the so called friend’s feet and walk away.
As you walk out of the building, you dig around in your purse to try and find your lighter. You continue to ignore your name being called from behind as you bring the cigarette and lighter up.
You round the corner, taking a long drag as rest your back against the brick wall.
You just needed to take a second to figure out what the fuck you were going to do.
As you keep walking, looking at the semi blurred lights from the cars that pass by and the street lights you walk under, you get a good idea.
You pull out your phone, going to a specific contact, hey Sam are home by chance?
A few minutes goes by and he texts you back, yeah, you need your usual?
You hold the cigarette between your lips as you type, no I’m having a shitty night so I’m just looking for something for me.
He responds right away, I’ll leave the door unlocked, I have to pack a few things, so just come in.
You flick the done cigarette as you cross the road to make your way to Sam’s.
——
You push the door to Sam’s house open, “Sam?” You walk in, closing the door, “I’m here.”
“In the den, sweetheart.”
You smile at the nickname as you kick off your heels.
You walk in towards the living room to get to the back den, “Hey.” You walk in, seeing Sam laid out on a giant white bean bag chair as he packs weed into small baggies, “What’s goin’ on?”
You shake your head, sitting down in the gaming chair infront of the desk, “Well..” you laugh slightly, “My boyfriend cheated on me. With the girl who was said to be my best friend.”
Sam’s mouth drops and he shakes his head, “What the fuck is wrong with people?” He frowns, “I’m sorry, sweetheart.”
You half frown, “It’s okay. I’m now starting to realize how much of jerk he was said to be.” Sam raises his brows and looks down, “Yeah, love will fuck you up more than any drug ever will. Come over here.”
You look at him and he looks up, nodding for you to come over to him. You walk over, sitting down on the beanbag next to him, hands in your lap, “I’m here.”
Sam reaches down, and comes back with a joint, “This is a new strain I literally just got in. Haven’t sold it yet, but it sounds like you could really use it.”
You smile as you take it from his fingers, “Do you let all of your customers try out the new ones?”
He smirks slightly, “I mean Colby, but other than that.” He shakes his head, “Never really let anyone close enough to.”
You didn’t really know what Sam meant by that, but you would soon figure it out.
After taking turns hitting the joint - Sam really was right. You did need this, “Can I ask you a question?” You turn your head, looking at him as he turns his towards you.
Your eyes scan over his face, taking in his red eyes behind the clear frame of his thin, gold framed glasses.
And how his blonde, fluffy hair pokes out from under his bright pink sweatshirt that’s being lit brighter from the bluish purple LED lights.
Your heart was racing, you wanted to kiss him.
“Y/n?” Sam laughs slightly, “You’re here, but you’re not here. Where’d you go?”
You blink a few times and shake your head, “Sorry.” You giggle out, “I’m actually feeling pretty good right now, I think the alcohol in my system prior helped.”
“If you were drinking, how did you get here?” Sam asks, concern in his tone.
“I walked. I was only two blocks over.” You look back over at him and he sighs, “If I would have known, I would have came and got you.”
You smile slightly and shake your head, “I sobered up a little once I seen why I left, you know?”
He nods and you lay a hand on his arm, laughing, “I’m fine, I’m here aren’t I?” You laugh some more and Sam laughs with you, glancing down at your hand on his arm with a slight smile, “Yeah, no I get ya.”
He lays his head back and looks at you, “So anyway, you wanted to ask me something.”
You look at him confused while you think, “Oh! Yeah, yeah.”
You move around slightly so you can turn towards him more, “Do you remember the first, time I came to buy off of you?”
Sam smirks, nodding immediately, “I do. You were wearing those high waisted jeans and that cropped grey sweatshirt.” He chuckles slightly, “I remember seeing you pull that hundred dollar bill out of your little white cross body purse.”
You laugh, “I thought maybe you would have cut me a good deal if you seen how pretty I was.”
He looks over at you, “If I knew it was for you and not your douchebag boyfriend at the time.”
“No I understand.” You lift your arm, resting your elbow on the top of the beanbag and resting your cheek in the palm of your hand, “Do you remember the text you sent me after I left?”
“I was so nervous.”
“I could tell.” You smirk, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, “what was it?” You tease, “I don’t say this often but you’re too pretty to be buying drugs?”
Sam smiles huge and covers his face, “Oh no.” He looks at you through his fingers and tries not to laugh, “This is why..” he sighs, “Y/n.”
“This why what? Sam.”
You groans playfully and pulls his hands away from his face, “Don’t tell anyone that I’m nice and shit.”
You smile, “What happens at Sam’s house, stays at Sam’s house.”
He smirks, “That’s the motto.”
You laugh slightly and stare at him for a few seconds, “Why’d you keep selling to me then?”
Sam looks over at you, brows furrowed, “Whatcha mean, sweetheart?” You bring your one leg up and tuck it under your other.
You keep your thighs pushed together, but that doesn’t stop Sam from noticing your drive riding up your fishnet covered thighs.
“Like, I mean.. stop me if I’m reading too much into it, please.. but at the same time, if you said I was too pretty to buy your drugs, why did you..” you shake your head and look over at him.
He chews on his lip as he sits up, “Because I was afraid I wouldn’t ever see you again.”
Your eyes bounce from his lips to his eyes, “You had my number.” You smirk slightly and he shrugs, “You had a boyfriend.”
You both stare at each other for a few seconds before both bursting into laughter.
“Do you care if I hang out here a little bit longer?” You ask and Sam shakes his head, “Stay the night if you want.”
You smile slightly, “Only if y-“
Sam cuts you off, “Sweetheart, you have no idea how long I’ve wanted to hang out with you. So please, it’s not any burden to me. I swear.”
He chuckles and you nod, laughing nervously, “I’ve.. actually wanted to hang out with you, too. So I’m glad you were free tonight.”
Sam shrugs, “I would have made myself free either way.” He stands up and nods towards the door, “I’ll get you something to change in to.”
You stand up, following him upstairs to his bedroom.
As Sam rummages through his dresser, you bend down to reach up under your dress and pull your fishnets down.
You step out of them as Sam turns around, freezing as he watches you step out of them and stand back up.
Your eyes meet his and you smile slightly, “Sorry, I had to get these things off.”
He shakes his head, handing you the shirt and pants, “You’re fine, um.” He chuckles, “Pants are totally optional in his house, so just, feel free to make yourself at home.”
He winks and you smirk, “I’ll keep that in mind.” You point to your dress, “Can you unzip me?”
He nods and you turn around. You couldn’t lie, you were turned on by his touch.
His hand gently laid on your hip as he used his other to drag the tiny zipper down your back, “There you go.”
He steps back and you turn, hand holding the dress to your chest, “Thank you.”
Sam motions to the door, clearly stalling, “So, I’m going to, uh. Go back down stairs.” He claps his hands together and steps towards the door, “Roll, um, I’ll roll another one.”
You nod, “Sounds good.” You drag out, chewing on your lip.
It’s quiet for a few seconds, and then everything happens so fast.
Sam has your dress pushed down, pooling at your feet before he pushes you back on the bed. His lips trailing down your neck as his hand slides up and down your body.
You let out a moan as you feel his hand knead and pull at your boob, “Sam.” You breathe out, “P-please.”
Your head was already spinning, you were anxious for how you were going to feel after.
“Can I taste what you have between those pretty little legs of yours?”
You whimper in response, “Yes.”
Sam moves down the bed, lips connecting with your skin, “You’re so beautiful.” He doesn’t even take the time to pull your panties down, he just pushes them to the side and goes in for it.
You gasp, arching your back off the bed, “Oh fuck.” You moan out loudly, hand moving to the back of his head as his tongue moves in and out of your aching cunt.
“F-fuck fuck.” You look down, taking in the sight of Sam between your legs.
Every time you’ve seen him, you couldn’t help but have at least a dirty thought or two.
“Holy shit.” Sam groans against you, “You taste so fucking good.” His hands grip your hips harder and pull you towards him, pinning them down as he moves up to suck on your clit.
You throw your head back whining, eyes rolling back as his tongue flicks over the sensitive bundle of nerves between his lips.
You were so close already and Sam pushing two fingers into you was getting you there faster and faster.
“Sam, Sam. Sam.” You gasp out, “Shh-shit.”
You pull his head into you more, trying to move your hips, even though you really can’t. Sam groans against you, his fingers rubbing that perfect little spot that’s urging you to cum for him.
“I-I-“ You let out a loud moans legs squeezing as far as they’ll go. Sam guides you through your high, lifting his head, “Such a good girl.”
You moan louder at his words and he raises a brow, “Mm, someone has a little praise kink I see.”
You open your eyes, looking up at Sam as he crawls up your body. He dips his head down, lips brushing against yours, “You are so fucking hot.”
You smirk, closing your eyes as his lips press to yours, moving in sync. Your arms slide around his neck and you pull on his sweatshirt.
He sits up, taking his glasses off and setting them on the stand before removing his sweatshirt. Your hands run down his torso and he bites his lip when you hook your fingers into his waist band.
Your eyes move up to meet his and you pout, “Please fuck me.”
Sam’s lips twitch into a smile as he pushes down his sweats and boxers in one swoop. He leans down, elbows by your head as he hooks your leg over his hip, “You sure you w-“
You cut him off by crashing your lips into his, “I need you.” You grind your hips down, trying to feel for his cock, “Please.”
He leans his weight into his right arm, leaning down to slip the head of his cock between your folds. Your legs tighten around his waist and he smirks, thrusting his cock the rest of the way into you.
You let out a choked moan, tangling your fingers in his hair and pulling.
Your head was spinning more, another orgasm and you swear you’d pass out.
“S-Sam.” You breathe out, “Fuckfuckfuck.”
Your nails dig into his shoulder, earning a groan from him and you gasp, turning your head to press your lips to his.
He moans against your lips, “You were..” he groans, leaning back as he thrusts deep into you, “..Made for me.”
You squeeze your walls around his cock, pulling him closer to you, “I always knew there was something about you.”
You lay a hand on his cheek, furrowing your brows as you moan out, feeling that build up slowly grow, “You’re just, so different.”
“You’re are so beautiful.” He breathes out, crashing his lips onto yours. His thrusts grow faster and his hand slides up to grip your neck, squeezing slowly as he leans his head back.
He watches as your face twists with pleasure.
Your eyes roll back as you grow more dizzy.
“Cum for me, one for time, baby.” Sam whispers, “Please.” His lips attach to your neck and you moan, squeezing his cock with your walls repeatedly,
You arch your back, moans muffled by Sam’s hand on your neck as you cum around him.
You whimper, rolling your hips as you and Sam work your way through your high, low groans escaping his lips as he moves his hand to kiss up to your lips.
“You have me so close, baby. Where do you want me?”
You tighten your legs, voice coming out in a soft wimper, “D-don’t stop.”
He smirks, shaking his head, “Once I do it, I don’t think I’d be able to stop.”
“That’s fine with me.” You bite down on your lip and Sam nods, “You asked for it.” He pulls out, “Flip over for me, sweetheart.”
You roll over onto your stomach and Sam lifts your hips, and within seconds after, his cock was deeper than it was before.
You were going to lose your mind.
Sam’s hands rub over your hips, “Doing so good for me, baby.”
You push your hips back, moaning at his words, “Fuckfuck, Sam.” You grip the sheets and pull, moaning even louder as Sam’s fingers drag down go rub your clit.
Your walls clench around his cock and he groans, “Got one more in ya, sweetheart?” He throws his head back, using both hands to grip tightly into your hips, “Fuck, cum with me. Cum with me.”
He leans down, planting a few kisses on your shoulder before sliding a hand up to your neck, gently squeezing.
You bring a hand up, laying it on top of his hand and he squeezes harder.
Your moans are growing quieter the harder his grip gets. Your eyes roll back and you can’t help but throw your hips back to meet Sam’s.
Your jaw hung slack as the fucked out euphoria feeling settles in.
Your hand drops to the bed and the band in your belly snaps yet again, leaving you there, moaning silently as your walls milk Sam’s cum into your cunt.
Sam’s hand falls from your neck and his lips press to your cheek, “Are you okay?”
You giggle weakly, “I’m.. great..”
He smirks and looks over his shoulder as he hears the door bell rings and knocking on the door, “What the fuck?”
He look down at you, “If you can get dressed, please do, but if not, just stay here.” You slowly sit up, worry settling in, “Okay. I won’t go anywhere.”
Sam leaves, closing the door behind him.
You get up, slipping on the shirt Sam gave you and fixing your panties before walking to the door. You crack it open and hear Sam let out a laugh, “Dude, I don’t know what to tell you. She isn’t here.”
You hear Clayton groan, “I’m serious man, just-“
“No. I’m not selling you anything, y/n isn’t here. Buh bye.”
“Why the fuck did you sell them to her and not me?” Clayton argues and you bite your lip as you wait for Sam’s response.
“Because, I actually wanted to keep seeing her, she’s quite pretty. Maybe I should give her a call now that, I’m guessing you two are done for, huh?”
You hear a loud thud, maybe a lamp being knocked over, and you open the door more. You walk over to the steps and bend down.
You’re able to see Sam holding Clayton up against the wall and he’s inches from his face, “Maybe don’t go kissing your girlfriend’s best friend and you wouldn’t be in this situation, right?”
“How do you know about that?” Clayton asks lowly and Sam smirks, shrugging his shoulders, “Maybe she stopped by on her way home to grab some weed, maybe she didn’t.”
You bite your lip, seeing Sam stick up for you like this, was so fucking hot.
“You fucked her, didn’t you?” Clayton asks with a scoff, “of course.”
Sam rolls his eyes, “Now you’re calling her a slut.. alright.” He moves Clayton towards the door and spins him to look at him, “You ever try to speak or get in contact with y/n again, I’ll make a little phone call to officer Ziebler down at the- um. Shoot, what is it?”
Sam look up at Clayton, “Oh, yeah, the Adult Probation office.”
You cover your lips and Clayton shakes his head, “How do you know about that?”
Sam shrugs, “I have my ways, now, as I said when you got here, buh bye.” He pushes him out and closes the door.
You walk down the steps and Sam turns, stopping with a smirk, “You don’t listen, do you?”
“Actually.” You walk over to him, “I listened to that whole thing so..” you purse your lips, fighting back a smirk, “That’s gotta count for somethin’ right?”
He chuckles, pulling you in for a kiss, “C’mon. I’ll roll us another J.” He wraps your arm around your waist, “Because after that, I need one.”
“Well you know what they say.” You laugh, glancing up at him. He smirks, “And what’s that, babe?”
“A joint.. or three.. a day keeps the bad mood away.”

That Herrmann/Halstead DNA (Chapter Four)
Summary: This is Part Twenty-One of my series A Herrmann/Halstead Production. It is an AU where Christopher Herrmann's mom had an affair with Pat Halstead resulting in a baby. The series follows this OC character (Rebecca "Bex" Herrmann) as she grows up and gets to know her brothers and the various Chicago teams. It is very much an AU, just to underscore that. It doesn't follow the same timeline and characters will follow different paths.
Click here for the Series Rundown where you can find the links to read all of the previous installments (which I highly recommend you do so that this one makes sense.)

Chapter One Chapter Two Chapter Three
Chapter Four
Chris
Knowing his family, Chris wasn’t surprised to see all of 51 was crammed into the waiting room when he walked back in.
Not surprised, no, but still touched. The tight band that had been squeezing his heart ever since Boden took him aside to break the news about Bex eased the slightest bit.
His family was good people.
“Hey, guys,” he said. Every head had turned his way when he appeared, faces filled with worry. Jay gave him a little nod before heading straight over to Mouse which was fair enough. Chris would take filling in the 51 crew over the conversation the two of them were about to have.
“How is she?” Dawson asked as she hopped out of her seat to give him a hug.
“She’s, uh—she’s pretty banged up,” he said, directing his words at the whole group. “Not sure of the extent of things yet, but Will’s taken her for some scans so we should know more soon.”
“And Emery?” Shay asked quietly. She was seated between Severide and Bex’s friend, Sam, who looked about as rough as Jay did.
“Haven’t heard anything yet,” Chris said, wishing like hell he had some kind of good news to share.
“Kira and Malia are on their way,” Sam piped up, voice rough. “Kira—she’s one of Emery’s emergency contacts so she’ll probably be able to get more information.”
Okay. One good bit of news.
“Does Emery have any family we can call?” Otis asked him and Sam shook his head with a frown.
“She’s just got us,” he said, staring down at his hands with red eyes. Shay reached over to rub his back and he leaned into her touch with a small sigh. “Bex is listed as her other emergency contact…”
And she wasn’t in any shape to help.
There wasn’t much else to say beyond that. All they could do was wait.
Dawson gave Chris another quick squeeze before returning to her spot. He felt too revved up to sit so he made his way over to the quiet corner of the room where Boden had stationed himself.
“Thanks for being here, Chief,” Chris said, leaning against the wall beside him. “Sure you’re okay to be offline?”
“I’m keeping an ear out.” Boden motioned to his radio. “But we all wanted—we needed to be here.” He eyed Chris for a moment. “How’s she really doing?”
Chris shook his head, not able to find his words right away. “Not good,” he managed to get out. “She was having trouble breathing and Will looked pretty worried.”
Boden took that in, a deep line forming between his brows. “And how are you?”
“Not good,” Chris said, huffing out a flat laugh. “Worried.” He shot Boden a small smile. “Grateful for the support.”
“We’ll stay as long as we can.” Boden clapped a hand on Chris’s shoulder before pulling him into a hug. “At least until Cindy gets here.”
“Hah.” Chris sniffed as he stepped back, doing a quick swipe of his eyes. “She’ll be happy to know it takes a full firehouse to fill in for her.”
“And we’re still a poor substitute,” Boden grinned back him.
Chris nodded, trying to keep the lightness going, but was unable to keep the tears back this time. “Shit,” he muttered, facing the wall to scrub at his face.
Boden stood silently beside him, blocking him from view.
A tissue appeared from the other side and Chris glanced over to see Trudy holding a whole dang box. “I swiped them from the desk,” she said. “Go nuts.”
“Ah, thanks, Truds,” Chis said, sniffling as he grabbed a few more. “Sorry, I’m just—seeing her like that—I need to get it together so I can be there for her—”
“It’s okay to need a moment, Chris,” Trudy said. She took a few tissues and stuffed them into her pocket. “I expect we’re all going to at some point so no judgement here.”
“None of you are alone in this.” Boden reached around him to grab tissues for his own pocket. “Remember that.”
Taking a deep breath, Chris nodded, letting their words sink into him. They’d get through this like they got through everything; all of them together.
And then, as if on cue, four familiar faces came rushing in from outside.
***
Sam
Sam leapt to his feet as Devon, Isaac, Malia, and Kira ran through the front doors. Kira spotted him first and rushed over.
“Sam!” What’s going on? What happened?” The rest of them came up behind her, all staring at him with anxious faces.
He stared back at them—mouth opening and closing as he tried to give them some kind of answer, but all he could do was shake his head. Shay came to his rescue.
“Ty attacked Emery,” she said quietly as she joined their little circle. “He stabbed her, and Bex, uh—I think she walked in on the attack and she fought him off. She’s getting checked out now.”
“Stabbed—” Malia pressed a hand to her mouth, eyes wide. Devon wrapped an arm around her and Kira pressed in on her other side. Isaac’s face crumpled as he stepped over to Sam and hugged him around the middle. Sam closed his eyes, letting himself lean into his strong arms.
“Have you heard anything?” Devon asked Shay. “About Em?”
“No, they would’ve been waiting for me, right?” Kira said before Shay could answer. Sam opened his eyes to see Shay nodding and Kira disentangling herself from Malia. “I’ll see what I can find out.”
He watched as she straightened her shoulders and marched off toward the desk, determined despite the tiny tremble of her chin.
Today had beenawful and Sam didn’t see it getting any better, but at least they were all here now. Whatever happened next, they would face it together.
***
Shay
“I hate this,” Shay muttered as she took her seat again. Kelly made a questioning noise beside her, but she couldn’t look away from the little group of Bex’s friends huddled together on the other side of the room.
Looking so incredibly young and so incredibly scared.
She wished Julie were here.
Sam had said something about her staying on the scene and then going to Lakeshore with Ty which—thank goodness he hadn’t been brought to Med, but Shay still wished Julie was there with them. She’d have better words for Sam. For his friends.
Sam and Julie had hit it off as not only partners, but as friends which meant that once Shay started dating Julie, she was quickly brought into their orbit. She’d spent plenty of time with Sam and his boyfriends and Malia and Kira as well. Shay probably knew them almost as well as Bex did at this point.
And Emery—even when she’d been away from the group, they talked about her. They still loved her so much and when she made her way back to them, Shay kept getting all of the updates.
All of them were so proud of how far Emery had come.
And now this.
“It’s not fair,” Shay said, shaking her head. She rubbed at her eyes and then took the tissue Kelly offered her.
“Hey,” he said softly, ducking his head down to catch her gaze. “Talk to me.”
“I just—” She waved the tissue at the group before crumpling it in her hands. “I hate this. It’s not right. Emery, she’s come so far, you know? And this? This is what happens? It’s bullshit, Kelly.”
“Yeah, it is,” he agreed, sinking back in his chair with a deep sigh. “It really is.”
“It can’t end like this for her,” Shay whispered. “It’s not fair.”
“You can’t think like that,” Kelly said, grabbing her arm and giving it a little squeeze. “No, listen—” He cut her off before she could get going again. “I get what you’re saying and you’re right. It’s bullshit. But…why are we here?” He stared at her, giving her a little nod, waiting for her to answer.
“To be here,” she said. “To support Herrmann and Bex and Emery and all of them.”
“Right,” Kelly said as he sat up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “And what would Bex say if she was here? ‘Don’t put out bad energy’ or something like that, right? You know how she talks.” He smiled down at her, looking entirely too pleased with himself when Shay managed a small smile back. “Emery and Bex are fighting their way through so we need to sit here and believe that they can do it. They’re gonna be okay, Shay.”
She really hoped he was right. Shay took a shaky breath and settled into Kelly’s side, ready to start putting all of the good energy out there.

Connor
“We have a pulse,” one of the nurses announced.
Connor nearly sagged against the operating table in relief. It was the second time Emery had coded since they started and the way things were going, he knew with a sickening certainty that it wouldn’t be the last.
Come on, Em, he willed her to hear him. I’m not going to stop fighting so you’re not allowed to stop either. Work with me here. Bex’ll never forgive either of us if you die so cut it out.
Dr. Latham called for another unit of blood and Connor cut a quick look over at Emery’s stats, frowning at what he saw.
“Come on, Em,” he whispered.
“Dr. Rhodes, perhaps we should reconsider your presence—”
“Respectfully, Dr. Latham,” Connor said firmly. “We should not.”
He wasn’t leaving her.
Not when there was still a chance.

Mouse
Platt vacated the seat beside him, nodding at Jay as they passed each other and heading over to see Chris. Jay plopped down in the empty spot.
He groaned, resting his elbows on his knees and scrubbing his hands over his face. Mouse waited, playing with the empty coffee cup in his hands until Jay finally looked over at him.
“Thank you,” he said. “For getting Chris. That was—that was the right move.”
“Just wanted to do what I could to help,” Mouse said. “Seemed like the best plan.”
“I’m sorry, man,” Jay said and Mouse stilled, not quite sure where this was coming from.
“For what—”
“I just left.” Jay sat back, managing to look miserable, exhausted, stressed, angry, and apologetic all in one go. It was almost impressive. “I ran out of there and didn’t let you know what was happening,” Jay said. He rubbed at his forehead with a sigh. “Didn’t think to even ask anyone to let you know or—”
“Jay.” Mouse had to stop him right there because he couldn’t listen to anymore of this. “Don’t even—just—are you seriously apologizing for not stopping to let me know you were leaving? When Bex was in danger? I don’t—you had to get to her. That was what mattered.”
“Didn’t get there fast enough,” Jay muttered.
“She needed you and you got there as soon as you could,” Mouse said. “I’m glad you didn’t waste any time doing it. Okay?” He stared at Jay until he nodded and then Mouse sat back as well. He had a thousand questions he wanted to throw at him, but Jay didn’t look up to talking. Mouse didn’t want him pressing for more details to be the thing that had Jay falling apart when the guy was clearly using everything he had to keep it together.
Mouse knew the feeling.
He kept his thousand questions to himself and worked on bracing himself for their inevitable answers.
***
Jay
Jay closed his eyes as he settled into his seat beside Mouse, more grateful than ever for his friend’s ability to read him and know when he needed to leave Jay be.
Talking was not something Jay could do right now. Not without screaming.
He bounced his knee, trying to block out the sounds of the waiting room and centre himself like his therapist was always going on about. Quiet his mind.
But the quiet—it just made room for Bex’s voice to come back in.
Over and over, sounding so scared as it came through the phone.
Please. Put the knife down.
And her scream.
Jay was never going to forget it as long as he lived.
He hadn’t been fast enough.
Not fast enough at all.

Will
Will closed the door to Bex’s room with a quiet click. Resting his forehead against the wood, he took a moment in the quiet hallway to just breathe.
Bex had gone through all of the scans and tests like a champ, but was struggling by the end of it so they’d given her another round of pain meds and she’d conked right out.
Well, not right out. She’d managed to garble a few instructions at him first and tell him that she loved him. So much. Will smiled to himself. The ‘so much’ had been repeated quite a few times. Bex on pain medication was going to be an interesting experience.
Since they needed to keep her at least overnight for observation, he’d gone ahead and settled her into a room instead of taking her back to the ED or another holding place. He’d add fast tracking the process to the list of things Goodwin could yell at him for later.
And now he had to go and update their family. He sighed. It’d been hard enough for Will to hear the laundry list of Bex’s injuries, but to have to tell the others and see their faces…he needed to be a bit steadier to handle that.
It was going to suck, but he wasn’t about to pass the task on to anyone else. Not after what happened with Chris when he got hurt and god, was that really only a few months ago?
How were they right back here again?
“Dr. Halstead!”
Will straightened up, looking around to see Sharon Goodwin coming down the hall towards him trailed by two unexpected faces.
“Ms. Goodwin,” Will said, nodding at her and the two men behind her. “Dr. Charles...Dr. Abrams? I thought you’d all gone home for the day. Is everything okay?”
“Is everything—Will, we heard what happened,” Sharon said, reaching out to give his arm a squeeze. “We wanted to check on you.”
Oh. That was…hunh. “I’m—” Will dragged a hand through his hair and a slightly hysterical little laugh slipped out. “It’s, uh, it’s been a day.”
“I’ll bet.” Dr. Charles peered around him to peek through the window in the door into Bex’s room. “How’s she doing?”
“She’s in rough shape, but she’ll be okay,” Will said. “Eventually. She’ll be better when we know how Emery is.”
“Don’t worry about finishing your shift,” Sharon said. “Dr. Armstrong is coming in early and the ED can manage without you until then.”
Right. He’d absolutely abandoned his job as soon as Bex came in. Crap. Sharon shook her head at him as soon as he opened his mouth.
“Don’t worry,” she repeated. “You’re having a family emergency. We all understand.”
“Been there a time or two ourselves,” Dr. Charles said with a kind smile. He reached out to pat Will’s shoulder. “Anything you need, be sure to let us know.”
“Remember to take all the time you need,” Sharon added and then the two of them headed off down the hall. Dr. Abrams remained, staring at the door to Bex’s room.
“Dr. Abrams?” The man didn’t respond so Will tried again. “Sam?”
“Yes.” Dr. Abrams cleared his throat and glanced over at Will, a flicker concern disrupting his usual impassiveness. “What Dr. Charles said. If anything is needed, for either of you…”
“I’ll let you know,” Will agreed. “That’s—thank you. It’s appreciated.”
With a short nod, Dr. Abrams turned and walked away.
“Bex, you make the weirdest friends,” Will whispered. He chuckled to himself and took a last look to make sure she was still sleeping before heading out to the waiting room.
He still had one job to do.

Chris
“Christopher!”
Chris whipped around at the sound of Cindy’s voice and rushed over to meet her in the middle of the waiting room.
“I got here as fast as I could, I’m sorry, It took me way too long to get out of the house —my parents, and then the kids—” she said, tripping over her words as she grabbed onto his hands. “Have you heard anything yet? What’s going on? How’s Bex? How’s Emery?”
“Hey, hey. Breathe, Cinds, it’s okay,” Chris said. “Bex is getting checked out and we—we haven’t heard anything about Emery yet.” He moved to wrap his arms her and held her tight. “God, I’m so glad you’re here.”
She squeezed him back, tucking her head into his shoulder. “It’s bad, isn’t it?”
“It’s not good,” he murmured.
They stood there for a moment, taking what they needed before breaking apart. Cindy met his eyes. “Whatever it is,” she said. “We’ll handle it.”
Now that she was here, he actually felt like that was true. Chris leaned in to press a kiss against her forehead. “I love you,” he whispered into her skin.
An “I love you, too,” was whispered back, just for him to hear.
After one more tight hug, Cindy took a deep breath, centering herself. “Okay,” she said. “Where are the boys?”
“Jay and Mouse are over there,” Chris said, jerking a nod in their direction. “Will’s with Bex while she’s getting checked out and Connor—he’s working on Emery.”
“I’m going to sit with them for a bit,” Cindy said, but before she could head in Jay and Mouse’s direction, Will came in and everyone’s attention instantly turned his way.
Jay and Mouse jumped out of their chairs and came to stand by Chris and Cindy. The rest of their gang crowded in behind. Chris reached for Cindy’s hand only to find her already reaching for his and they clung to each other; ready for Will’s update.
“Cindy, hey, you’re here. That’s great,” Will said, giving her a soft smile before taking in the whole group before him. “And all of 51 is here. Nice, now I owe Bex five bucks. Thanks, guys.”
Chris smiled at the quiet wave of laughter that welled up behind him. Bex got him on a dummy bet, for sure. Knowing Will, he probably went along with it just to make her smile.
“Okay, well, she’s given me permission to share with everyone because, and I quote, ‘they’re all nosy enough to get it out of Chris anyway,’” Will’s lips twisted in a wry little grin at the reaction that got. His face fell back into serious lines though once everyone settled. “This is going to be a lot to take in so I want to start by saying Bex is going to be okay. We’re keeping her overnight for observation, but barring any complications—”
Complications? The word sent a jolt through Chris.
He and complications were not friends.
“—she should be cleared to go home tomorrow,” Will finished.
“Is anyone with her right now?” Cindy asked. “Has she been admitted or is she still in the ED?”
“We’ve got her in a room,” Will said. “She’s sleeping right now; she’s on some pretty heavy pain medication, but the nurses are keeping an eye on her and I can take you back to see her yourself when we’re done.”
Heavy pain medication. The pressure was back in Chris’s chest and he gripped Cindy’s hand tighter. “Okay, so…tell us how she is, Will,” Chris said. “All of it.”
“She has two lacerations that required some stitches,” Will began. “One over her shoulder which was fairly shallow.” Chris had seen that one. It might have been shallow, but it was still disturbingly close to hitting an artery. They’d been lucky. “The one on her side was deeper,” Will continued. “But not enough to damage anything serious.”
“Ty went after her with the knife he used on Emery,” Jay piped up suddenly. He had his arms crossed and was staring a hole into the floor. “Bex disarmed him.”
Christ. Chris was more grateful than ever for the lessons Jay and Hailey and their crew had been giving Bex. Probably saved her life.
“She also had a deep laceration on her right hand—”
“—stabbed Ty with broken glass,” Jay muttered.
“—but, uh, she didn’t damage any ligaments so that’s good,” Will said. He shot a concerned glance at Jay who still wasn’t looking up from the floor. Cindy shuffled them over a bit so she could reach out to wrap her free arm around Jay’s waist. He stiffened; then relaxed minutely.
Cindy nodded at Will to keep going. He cleared his throat. “She has a hairline fracture in her right arm,” he said, pausing and right on cue—
“Ty threw her into a bookshelf,” Jay said quietly.
Chris rubbed at his forehead and swallowed hard against the growing nausea building in his gut. The tension in the room was growing, but no one walked away. Listening to this—the clinical rundown from Will and the admittedly horrible context from Jay—it was brutal, but they needed to hear it. To know what had happened and to prepare themselves for how they were going to get everyone through the aftermath.
“Her arm is splinted right now,” Will said. “It looks like the injury was aggravated and it’s too swollen to cast at the moment so we’ll have to take care of that after it goes down.”
“She was trying to do compressions on Emery when I arrived,” Sam’s voice came from the back of the group, shaky, but clear.
“Oh, that’s—” Will’s breath caught and he blinked before schooling his face back into something more professional. “That’s good to know,” he said, making a note on her chart. He looked back up at their group, pressing on. “She also has a few cracked ribs and one broken one,” he said. “Which leads me to her most serious injury and the one we want to monitor. Bex has what’s called a pulmonary contusion which is basically a bruised lung.”
“Jesus,” Gabi exclaimed as she came up on Chris’s left. “A pulmonary contusion? That’s—that’s a blunt force trauma injury. How—”
“Ty fucking stomped on her,” Jay bit out. “That’s how.”
“What the hell—are you serious?” Kelly asked, voice raising. “Where is that asshole? He—”
“He is being dealt with by the CPD,” Boden said, moving to stand by Will and casting a grave look over their group. There were a few more grumbles, but the Chief’s stare silenced them.
Chris leaned into Cindy, grateful to Boden for stepping in because he didn’t have it in him right now. He was angry too—of course he was. He wanted to track down Ty and give a taste of his own medicine, but what good would that do? It wouldn’t help Bex or Emery.
They were all needed here. With the two of them. That was who they had to focus on. Screw Ty.
All Chris cared about was his family.
“What do you need to watch out for with this contusion thing?” he asked Will.
“Her breathing, for one,” Will said. “We’ve got her on oxygen to help ease things along and we’re checking her levels regularly. There’s also a small amount of internal bleeding that we’re watching, but it should resolve itself.”
Jay’s head whipped up at that. “You’re not doing anything about it?”
“We had multiple doctors look at the scans and everyone agrees,” Will said. “It would be too invasive to try and repair it when more often than not, it does heal on its own.”
“Do you not remember what happened with Chris?” Jay exclaimed. “You guys said it would be fine and he almost died.”
“Jay, trust me, please.” Will rubbed at his eyes with a sigh before facing them again. “I know it’s scary and it sounds awful, but this really is the best course of action to take. Bex will be monitored constantly. She’ll probably get pissed off about it, but she’s also going to be okay and that’s what matters.”
Jay opened his mouth, ready to argue some more, but Boden’s radio squawked right then and everyone knew what that meant. Duty called.
“Folks, I’m sorry, but we have to head out,” Boden announced to the group. “51, with me. Herrmann, we’ll be back when we can. Give our girl a hug for us.”
“Will do, Chief,” Chris said. “And thank you.”
With a nod and some quick hugs, Boden and the rest of the team filed out, leaving the rest of them to figure out their next steps.
“Um, they said there’s a room up on the surgical floor where we can wait?” Kira said, coming over to stand at the front of their remaining cluster. “They’ll let us know how things are going with Emery as soon as they can.”
“I’ll go on up with you kids,” Trudy said and all of Bex’s friends looked relieved by that—an expression Chris wasn’t used to seeing directed her way. Hunh. When had Platt managed to adopt her own gaggle of twenty-somethings?
That…was a puzzle to be solved another day. Right now, Chris was glad she was going with them because he and Cindy needed to check in on Bex first.
“Let us know when you hear something,” he called after them and Trudy gave him a nod, waving her phone as they headed through the doors. Chris turned to Cindy with a sigh, tugging on her hand. “Let’s go see Bex.”
“In a minute,” she said quietly. He followed her gaze to where Jay and Will stood, faces tense while Mouse hovered anxiously beside them. Will was talking to Jay, quietly but intensely, and Jay was shaking his head. “Come on.” Cindy steered them over to see what was what.
“You have to trust me on this, Jay,” Will was saying. “I know you’re scared—”
“Don’t friggin’ patronize me,” Jay snapped, scowling at Will. “Of course, I’m scared. It’s Bex. How can you ask me to trust you—to trust any of you after what happened last time. You wanna risk her life—”
“Both of you take a breath,” Cindy asked, stepping in between them.
“I don’t need—” Jay withered under the look Cindy pinned him with, a muscle in his jaw ticking as he clamped it shut.
The kid needed a lot of things actually and top of that list was someplace quieter to talk. “Hey, Will,” Chris said. “Is there somewhere private we could all go?” The meltdown Jay was teetering closer and closer to would be better off happening away from prying eyes.
“Oh, uh…” Will blinked. “Yeah, there’s a family room I can take you to—”
“We don’t need that.” Jay’s back immediately went up again. “Why—”
“Maybe you don’t,” Chris said. “But I’m an old man who’d rather be in a comfier chair than on my feet for the rest of this chat.” He made eye contact with Cindy, a silent conversation whipping back and forth between them until they landed on the same page a few seconds later.
At which point she winked at him.
…he really loved her a stupid amount.
“Here’s what we’re going to do,” Cindy announced. “Mouse, you go on ahead with Will to see Bex.”
Mouse’s eyes went wide. “Me? Don’t you want to, uh, I-I can wait—”
“No, no, you go,” Chris said. “She was asking about you earlier and I know she’ll want to see you. Please.”
“Jay…” Mouse looked hopelessly lost as he turned to Jay who jerked his chin in the barest agreement. “Okay,” he said softly. “I can do that.
“Everyone follow me then, I guess,” Will said carefully. He led them back in through the ED and down a few other hallways before stopping at a door and peeking inside. “You guys can use this one,” he said, stepping away and leaving the door open. “Mouse, if you—”
“You’re coming back, right?” Jay demanded. “We’re not done talking about this and—”
“Yes, Jay,” Will sighed. “I’ll be right back.” He strode off down the hall with Mouse in tow.
Chris used Jay’s momentary distraction of glaring after them to herd him into the room and Cindy closed the door after them. She came to tuck herself into his side once again as Jay began to pace in front of them.
Kid was wound so tight he was about to break himself in two.
***
Jay
“Jay,” Chris began and Jay sliced a hand through the air at him.
“Don’t,” Jay said. “Don’t tell me to calm down. Don’t tell me I’m being unreasonable. Not when we all know that I’m right.” He stopped in his tracks and took a step toward Chris and Cindy. “It’s Bex.” Jay’s voice broke over her name.
He shook his head, trying to get it together. He had to be calm. He had to be strong about this and reasonable so they would listen to him.
“They need to check again,” he said. “And-and-and do something! They can’t just let her bleed. We can’t stand here and do nothing while she’s hurt. She’s in pain. I can’t watch that, not again, not after—not after hearing her and—I can’t—not again—I can’t—”
Chris lying unresponsive in his hospital room.
Bex’s scream echoing out of his phone.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Axel facedown in the dirt with blood pooling out from under his uniform.
Blow after blow from Ty thudding through the speaker.
“I tried—I tried to get to her—I wasn’t fast enough—”
“…Jay…breathe…panic attack…” Cindy’s voice couldn’t break through the noise in his brain. One after another after another.
Bex calling out for him.
An explosion.
His world turning sideways.
Mouse staring at him with deadened eyes.
Bex.
Screaming.
And Jay…doing nothing.
“I’m sorry. I—”

Mouse
Will stopped in front of the door to Bex’s room and turned to face Mouse. He pressed his lips together as he dragged a hand through his hair. “I feel like I should give you a head’s up before we go in there,” he said quietly. “You just—you need to brace yourself, okay? It’s rough to see her like this, but I meant it when I said she’s going to make a full recovery.”
Mouse nodded, swallowing hard as he tried to do what Will said and brace himself before following him into the room.
…but Will’s warning hadn’t been enough.
He must’ve made some kind of noise because Will’s head whipped back as he looked at Mouse in concern. “You good?”
“No,” Mouse whispered. “But I’m not going anywhere either.” He stepped around Will and got closer to the bed.
Bex was still asleep, snuffling a bit under the oxygen mask. She was bruised and battered all over—Mouse had a hard time spotting a part of her skin that was unmarked and what he could find was deathly pale. Lying there, unmoving, she looked so fragile.
Mouse sat down in the chair, stopping himself when he reached out to touch her. Her splinted arm was on the other side, but the hand closest to him was bandaged as well. “I don’t—I don’t want to hurt her,” he said to Will. “How should I—”
“Gently,” Will said, giving him an encouraging smile. “You can hold her fingers on that hand, just don’t squeeze, or hold on to her wrist there. And talk to her if you want. She’ll probably wake up soon.”
“Okay, yeah, I, uh, I can do that.” Mouse placed a tentative hand on her wrist, stroking at the soft skin there. Will clapped a hand on his shoulder and Mouse looked up at him. “Thanks. For letting me stay here with her.”
“Thanks for being her for her,” Will said. He patted Mouse on the back before quietly leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
Mouse turned back to Bex. Talk to her, Will had said.
It took him awhile to figure out what to say, but eventually he just decided to go for it and started talking.
“Hey, Bex. It’s me, Mouse. Uh, Mouse Gerwitz.” He palmed his face, chuckling quietly. “Mouse Gerwitz. She knows that, you idiot.” He looked back at Bex, startling forward when her eyes started to blink open. “Hey,” he said quietly. “Hey, Bex. That’s it. Open your eyes, baby. I’m right here.”
She frowned a bit, gaze hazy as she tried to focus on him, and she pulled her bandaged hand free to try and tug at the oxygen mask.
“Oh, no, hang on,” Mouse said. “That’s supposed to stay there.”
Bex grumbled something unintelligible at him. She batted his hand away and pulled down the mask anyway. Her head rolled on the pillow, tilting to look his way as a dopey smile spread across her face. “You’re here,” she said, voice all raspy.
Mouse scooched his chair in closer, leaning in as he stroked her forehead. “I’m here.”
“I like it when you’re here,” Bex whispered. “You should always be here.”
“That’s the plan,” Mouse said.
For as long as she’d have him.
***
Cindy
Between her and Chris, they’d managed to get Jay seated in one of the arm chairs. He had one of his hands tightly gripped around Chris’s while the other was white-knuckled over the faded upholstery. Cindy crouched in front of him, hands braced on his knees as she tried to make her voice heard through the storm currently raging in his head.
“Jay? Jay.” Cindy squeezed his knees until he met her eyes. “Listen to me, listen to my voice,” she said. “Focus on it.”
He was still taking air in through choppy breaths, but he looked more there than he had a moment before and he blinked at her. Slowly. Deliberately.
“Good, that’s good, sweetie,” she said. “Do you think you can take a slower breath for me?”
He shook his head, eyes sliding away from her. Cindy grabbed his chin gently with one hand and brought him back to face her. “That’s okay,” she said quickly. “Don’t worry about that yet then. Why don’t we try this—can you tell me five things you can see?”
Jay rolled his eyes at her over his next ragged inhale and she took that as a good sign.
“Come on,” Cindy cajoled him. “You can do it. Tell me the five ugliest things you can see in this truly sad family room.”
“Uh, chair,” Jay huffed out, casting his eyes around. “Car-carpet.” Another breath. “Paint. Lights.”
“Great, that’s four things,” Cindy said. “One more.”
“C-Chris.”
“Hey, now,” Chris laughed. “I feel like I should have ranked higher than the carpet.”
Cindy grinned at Jay. “That was perfect, hun,” she said. “How about four things you can touch.”
“Chair,” Jay sighed, his next breath coming ever so slightly slower. “Chris. You. Carpet.” He tapped his foot and Cindy nodded.
“Good, really good.” Cindy squeezed his hand. “Three things you can hear?”
“You,” Jay whispered. “Um, the, uh, the fluorescent lights making that, uh, hum sound, and—and people talking in the hallway.” He took a deep breath, sagging back in the chair a bit. “Please don’t make me do the smell thing because I think Chris’s deodorant has given up the fight.”
“Oh, ha-ha,” Chris said, smiling as he patted Jay’s back. “Glad you’re back to making jokes, bud. Even if they’re cheap.”
Jay laughed weakly, leaning into Cindy’s hand when she ran it through his hair.
A light knock sounded at the door before it opened and Will poked his head in. “Hey, I got Mouse settled with Bex. She’s still out…” He frowned when he got a good look at them, shutting the door behind him. “Everything okay in here?”
“Just taking our moment,” Cindy said. She stood up, wincing at the crack in her knees and shooting a look at Christopher before he could crack a joke of his own. She settled down on the arm of Jay’s chair and rubbed a hand on his back. “Better?”
He nodded. “Yeah, thank you. Uh, Will, man, I’m sorry about earlier—”
Will waved him off as he pulled up his own chair. “I get it,” he said. “I meant it though, Jay. Bex is going to be okay. I would never lie to you about that.”
“I know,” Jay whispered. “I just—I hate that she’s hurting now.”
They all did. If Cindy could take this on for her, she would. In a heartbeat.
“Jay.” Chris dragged another chair over and sat next to him. “I know you didn’t want to talk about it earlier, but I think we have to, bud.”
That flipped a switch in Jay and he instantly tensed up again. “No—”
“Sweetheart,” Cindy said, pulling him into her side. She didn’t want to push him, but this wasn’t something they could let fester either. “Before—you kept apologizing. You know that none of this is your fault, right?”
Jay scoffed. “I should have left as soon as she called,” he said. “I would have been there faster and I—I should have told her to come to the station! We could have gone together or-or-or I should have convinced her to stay in the car and wait—”
“Hang on,” Chris held up a hand and exchanged a frown with Cindy over Jay’s head. “You were on the phone with her when she got to Emery’s? That’s how everyone knew so quickly what was going on?”
“She’d called to ask if Ty was still in jail because Emery thought she’d seen him,” Jay said. “By the time I called her back, she was there and she told me the door was open and I told her to stay in the car, I swear.” Jay lurched back upright, looking between the three of them with wide eyes. “I called for back up and I left and I told her, I said stay in the car until I get there, but she wanted to check on Emery—”
“Hey,” Chris said, reaching out to settle a hand on Jay’s shoulder. “Listen, she’s half Herrmann, half Halstead, and her friend was in danger. There was a zero percent chance she was going to listen to you. It’s not your fault, Jay. Put the blame on Ty where it belongs.”
Everything Jay had said here and back in the waiting room suddenly fell into place for Cindy. She knew how it all went down with horrific clarity. “You stayed on the phone with her,” she whispered. He’d heard everything. “Oh, Jay.”
Jay’s eyes filled with tears as he shook his head. “I couldn’t help her,” he said. His voice cracked and a shaky sob slipped out. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
“No, no, no.” Cindy nudged him over and squished in beside him, grateful this sad little room at least had spacious arm chairs. “Look at me.” She cupped his cheeks and turned his head, barely making him out through her own tears. “Thank you,” she said, willing him to hear her. “Thank you for being there with her through all of that. She needed you and you stayed. You stayed, Jay, until you could get to her. Thank you.”
His face crumpled and Cindy pulled him into a hug, pressing him close as he sobbed into her shoulder. Oh, her poor boy.
Christopher and Will weren’t faring much better on the tears front. They were all hurting today.
She gave them a tiny nod and they both moved in to join the hug.
They could stay here for each other. As long as they needed.

Bex
Mouse said he would stay.
That was nice.
She always wanted to be around him and not just because he was really, super handsome.
The handsomest.
…don’t tell Connor.
Mouse choked on a laugh and Bex frowned. Her brain felt all goopy so she wasn’t sure, but did she say that out loud?
“Um, yes, you definitely did,” Mouse said, smiling down at her. “But don’t worry, I won’t tell Connor.”
“He’d be sad,” Bex said. “He likes being the handsomest.” She squinted at him. “But your face is so good.”
“Thank you?” Mouse bit at his lip.
“I don’t just like your face though,” Bex tried to add quickly. Her words were so slow though. Each one felt two steps behind. “I like all of your parts,” she explained. “Inside and out.”
“That’s good to know,” Mouse said. “I like all of your parts too. Inside and out.”
“Yeah?” That was nice. Mouse was nice. She was so happy they were finally going on their da—
…wait.
Bex closed her eyes against the onslaught of memories that suddenly flashed through her brain.
Ty. A knife.
Emery.
***
Mouse
Bex let out a small, pained noise that instantly had Mouse on alert. “Are you okay?” Stupid question. “What hurts? Should I call a nurse?” He shouldn’t have let her keep the oxygen mask off. What if that had made things worse? So stupid—
“Emery,” she whispered, opening her eyes to look at him again. “Is she okay?”
“She’s still in surgery,” Mouse said, hating that he couldn’t tell her better news. “We haven’t heard anything yet.”
“It’s taking so long,” Bex said. Her fingers plucked at the sheet as she took a shaky breath. “Is that a good sign or a bad one?”
“If she’s still in there, that means she’s still alive,” Mouse said. “She’s still fighting.”
Bex nodded, pressing her lips together. “I thought—I thought she was dead when I found her,” she said, a tear running down her cheek. “Ty—he tried to kill her. How could he do that?”
“I don’t know, Bex.” Mouse stroked a hand over her uninjured wrist. “People like Ty…they’ve got something broken inside of them.”
“I should have told her to go to the police station when she called me,” Bex whispered. “If she hadn’t gone home—”
“Hey, no,” Mouse said. “This is all on Ty. All of it.”
She looked like she was about to argue further when there was a knock on the door and Will came in, followed by Chris, Cindy, and Jay. They were all sporting red-rimmed eyes and watery smiles. Cindy made a beeline for Bex who let out a sob at the sight of her.
Mouse stepped back to give them a moment, making his way over to Jay who looked like he was about to fall on his face. He bumped shoulders with him, getting a small smile in return.
“How’s she doing?” Jay whispered as he watched Cindy fussing over Bex, straightening her pillow and getting her oxygen mask back in place.
“Blaming herself,” Mouse said.
“Fuck.” Jay closed his eyes briefly, his shoulders sagging.
It was a horrible instinct, but one that so many of them had. Something like this happened and you couldn’t help playing it over and over in your mind. Wondering what you could have done differently. ‘Nothing’ was a nearly impossible answer to accept.
Knowing if Emery was going to survive might make it easier though.
“Any news?” Mouse asked Will, keeping his voice low. Will shook his head grimly.
He wasn’t a praying man, but Mouse sent out a call to whoever might be listening to give them whatever help they could. Emery had to make it.
She had to.
It would break Bex if she didn’t.
***
Connor
“God dammit, Emery,” Connor gritted out as he focused on compressions.
“Dr. Rhodes,” Dr. Latham said solemnly.
The sharp whine of the monitor filled the room. It set Connor’s teeth on edge despite his best attempts to block it out. He didn’t need a screaming reminder that he was failing.
“Dr. Rhodes,” Dr. Latham tried again. “We should call it.”
“What?” Connor shook his head, panting with the effort of trying to restart Emery’s heart, sure that he’d heard the man incorrectly.
“The patient is too far gone—”
“No,” Connor snarled. “No, she’s not. And don’t—don’t start talking about me leaving. I’m not doing that and I’m not giving up. Not on her.” He glanced up at Dr. Latham and saw the hesitation—the pity in his eyes. Connor’s breath caught. He couldn’t stop. He couldn’t give up.
But he couldn’t do this on his own either.
“Dr. Latham, please,” Connor begged. “You were right. I probably shouldn’t have been in here, but I had to be. This girl. She—she’s part of my family and I couldn’t let her go through this alone. She needs me. She needs us. Help me fight for her now. Please. Help. Me.”
Connor stared at him, not breaking the rhythm of his compressions despite the merciless drone of the flatline weighing him down.
There could be no giving up.
“Please.”

Chapter 39: New Faces and Kaminas
Sam went home, immediately being shouted at by her mother for leaving to go to Mexico without a word.
Uttering that it wasn’t her first time wasn’t a strong thought to tell her mom, so she kept it to herself. After her mom finally quieted down, she properly welcomed her home with a watery smile. Sam could only give a tired smile back.
She was left to freshen up, washing away the blood splatters, dust and dirt from her body, shuddering as every detail came back to her. Derek died and then came back to life. She wanted to kill Kate.
Scott and Kira could’ve died and all she was worried about was saving Derek. She felt guilty. Guilty for making him her first priority while the others were in trouble. She felt guilty and yet something was shouting in her mind to tear Kate apart for causing so much destruction.
The pain she felt in her chest, it felt horrible. She didn’t even take his pain away. She couldn’t. She was in too much shock to do so. Shaking away the thought of his bloody wound, she finished her shower and got dressed, finally exiting her bathroom and laid on her bed.
He was…safe. Everyone was safe. The mute was gone, the deadpool was done, they survived a poisoning and got rid of Kate. She wanted to take it as some type of victory, but…
Her phone brought her out of her thoughts, making her sit up and see Stiles’ face appear on her phone screen. Answering, she laid back down. “Hey.”
“Hey.”, he responds. He doesn’t sound…chipper. Bored, maybe. “You okay?”
She sighs. “I guess.”
She hears his chuckle over the phone. “You don’t sound okay.” He was quiet for a moment. “Wanna talk about it?”
She turned on her side. Did she? Did she really wanna tell him how close she was to killing Kate and making every hunter watch to give a message?
“Sam.”
Sam sighs. “I dunno, Sti.” He sighs in return. “Well, how are you feeling for real?”
“Tired. Confused. Conflicted.”, she says. Stiles made a disapproving huff. “Come over. I still got some pizza left. Let’s talk over that.”
Sam sighs once more. “Okay.”
At the Stilinski residence, Stiles and Sam sat in the living room, eating pizza as they discussed.
"What's really wrong?", Stiles asked. Sam sets her half-eaten slice down. “I… almost killed again. And again, I was stopped because my morals are stronger than my pure instinctual anger.”, she scoffed.
Stiles looked at her, his head tilted a bit. “That didn’t stop you before.”, he says, referring to the nogitsune. Sam frowned. “Because, both you and I were in trouble along with everyone else. Allison died and Aiden was next. He could’ve killed you. If given another chance, I’d do it again.”
Stiles leaned back against the couch. “You’d kill…for me?”
“I’d scorch the Earth over you.”, she says without hesitation.
She looked down. “But I didn’t feel malicious towards the nogitsune. I was…scared. Scared I was gonna lose you guys if I hadn’t done anything. In the end, we did lose in a way, but still. With Kate, I felt like it was karma. Karma for the Hales. Karma for trying to get Allison to kill Scott and Derek. Karma for trying to kill me and I hadn’t even been bitten at the time. I wanted to kill her. Not stop her so she’d see the error of her ways.”
She looked up at Stiles. “I remember beating her face in, trying to make her suffocate. I wanted to torture her… for so long until she was begging me to finally finish her. And the entire time, I was just in pain. Derek’s death changed me, and I can’t say if it was for better or worse.”
He smiled a bit. “You love him.” Her eyebrows furrowed. “I don’t—”
Stiles nodded. “You do. I don’t think you noticed, but I noticed. I think I started to notice when we had to deal with the darach.”
She frowned. Sure, Derek was handsome, loyal and sweet when he wanted to be, and he made her feel like she was on top of the world sometimes, but…
Stiles’ expression shut all of her confusion down as she remembered her actions from their meeting to now. She wasn’t just doing things for her and her friends anymore. She’s been doing it for him too.
“You just now realizing it?”, Stiles asked. Sam shoved him lightly. “Shut up.”, she muttered and sighs. Now that just left her with a new problem. Did Derek really feel the same? With what Isaac said and Derek's recent display of affection… It was confusing to her.
She wasn't supposed to catch feelings. It didn't end well when she did. It wasn't good.
Not that love itself wasn't a pleasant thought, it was the feeling of wanting to be loved sincerely that was the issue.
To know someone was actually infatuated with her, not just for a convenience. But being hurt over and over, it was hard to tell what was sincere and what wasn't when it comes to such a thing like "love".
It was complicated.
Even having to explain what happened to Coach was an issue.
"Then Stiles said that Scott and Kira were stuck in Mexico which is why they missed the game.", Liam explained quickly. "So we went down to Mexico to save them and drive them back out of Mexico and that's why we all missed practice." He finished as Malia nodded along with a nervous face.
Coach looked at Sam, and she gave him a weak smile and shrug. "You went to Mexico because Scott was kidnapped?"
"He's your best player, of course we did.", Sam said.
"Okay," Coach said with a nod. "I believe you."
"Really?!", Liam asked, hopeful.
"Absolutely not.", Coach shot him down. Sam rolled her eyes. She knew he was calling bullshit.
Coach shook his head. "But I've had experiences south of the border that would knock the genitals and ovaries off the five of you."
"Thanks, coach?", Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Still," he sighed and looked at the 5 students. "I'm glad you guys are okay because if anything happened to this one," He pointed at Liam. "And this one," he pointed at Scott. "I've got to be the worst coach ever. Don't make me look bad. He's your responsibility now. Watch over each other, look out for each other. Got it?"
The teens smiled and grinned at Liam proudly. Sam gave Liam a side hug. "We got it.", Scott answered.
"Wilson!", Coach yelled, making Sam jump. "Yes?", she replied.
"You go missing again and I don't know what I'll do. I didn't think I needed a manager until now.", he said, giving her a quick smile before disappearing into his office. Sam smiled and sighed.
The next few months passed by in a blur and the supernatural teens were finally seniors.
Sam, Lydia, Stiles, Scott, Malia, and Kira met up in the library, ready to do the traditional senior scribe in the library. Sam sighed as she waited her turn to write her initials. Scott walked over to her, placing an arm around her shoulders. “What’s up with you?”, he asked.
Sam smiled a bit. “Just can’t believe we’re already seniors. Despite everything, I’m really gonna miss this place.”
“We’re not leaving yet.”, he chuckled, dropping his arm. “Yeah, but these months are gonna go by fast.”, Stiles piped in. ''This isn't vandalism, is it?'', Kira asked Lydia, watching the girl nervously. ''Not technically,'' Lydia replied. Kira wrote down her initials and handed the sharpie to Malia. Malia finished and handed the sharpie to Sam.
She looked at all the initials before pausing. She saw a distinctive D.H. and a smile popped on her face once she saw a P.H. next to it. Sam wrote down her initials before writing a E.R, V.B., I.L., J.W., E.S and A.S. The thought of each comrade she’d come across, knowing they wouldn’t have been able to graduate alongside her and the others made her feel remorseful.
Scott moved next to her, and she handed him the sharpie. He glanced at all the initials she made and gave her a soft smile before writing his and an A.A. He handed the sharpie to another student before moving to wrap an arm around Kira’s shoulder.
The teens went their separate ways, heading to their own classes before finishing up the day and going home. Sam spent her time in her room, meditating deeply. She felt calm for a moment before she opened her eyes to see a hallway.
Instantly, she got defensive. What the hell was happening? They couldn’t catch a break for a moment. She walked through the dark hallway, simultaneously feeling for other people nearby.
She turned a corner and saw a familiar head of brown hair. "Liam…?", she called. The boy turned around quickly, his heart racing. "Sam?", he said shakily.
She walked up to him, placing a hand on his arm. "You okay?", she asked.
Liam swallowed, looking around nervously. "Is this a dream? I don't know what this place is. I don't like it."
"You and me both.", she said and looked around. She paused. A dream? She turned to Liam. "Did you fall asleep?"
He nodded. "I think so. I mean, I'm pretty sure. I took a shower and went to bed." He whimpered. "Don't tell me this is some Freddy Krueger stuff.", he complained dejectedly.
Sam sighed as she looked around. "I'd hope not. C'mon.", she said, leading him around the tunnels, feeling for the other bodies that were there.
She felt nervous as they seemed to be moving faster. Shit.
She practically tugged Liam around to avoid whoever this was. It may have been a dream for Liam, but she didn't fall asleep. Not during her mediation.
Something was off.
Whoever these people were wasn't normal. What the hell was Liam conjuring in his subconsciousness…?
Once they turned a corner, they were met with three figures that wore dark cloaks and gas masks.
Sam backed Liam away from the figures as their goggles stared back at the teens.
"Run, Liam.", Sam told him. "No, not without you!", Liam exclaimed fearfully. Sam pulled Liam away from the unfamiliar figures and dragged him off to a bright light ahead of them.
Sam's eyes instantly popped open as she took in a loud gasp. She looked around her room, seeing how it was dark now.
She instantly turned on her lights, seeing that she was alone in the room. She sensed her house and only felt her and her mom in the house before calling Liam.
Liam isn't picked up, his shaky voice on the other side. "That wasn't a dream… was it?"
"I'm afraid not.", Sam replied. They'd have to tell everyone else later.
The next day Stiles had stopped Sam in the hallways, out of breath.
''Hey, we need to talk.'' Sam looked at him in confusion as they walked to her locker. “About?”, she asked. He leaned against a locker. "You remember Theo from fourth grade?", he asked, and she stopped for a moment to think. Theo from fourth grade…
Sam was a student at Beacon Hills Elementary at the time. She remembered a boy being bullied and was gradually wheezing. Sam had stepped in to help, causing the boy’s bullies to turn on her.
Since then, she hadn't seen the boy.
She frowned before nodding a bit. ''Yeah, well, he's back and he's a werewolf.”, Stiles said, making her look at him in shock. “And there's something I don't trust him. He asked Scott to join the pack yesterday, but I feel like there’s a catch. We need to go see my dad.''
Sam nodded. “Okay.” Stiles was always paranoid and now rightfully so. If he was feeling off about someone, she wouldn’t argue until they found out why.
“I know his family left town around the time Theo was nine or ten,'' Stiles said as they sat in the sheriff’s office. ''His older sister died in an accident when he was eight.''
The sheriff frowned, already annoyed by his son’s antics. ''Please go to school.''
Sam gave him an apologetic smile as Stiles continued to talk, ''Dad, this kid's a werewolf.''
The sheriff nodded at Sam. ''Your best friends are werewolves. You are dating a were-coyote.'' Sam smiled while Stiles rolled his eyes. ''I still don't know what Kira's supposed to be.'', Sheriff said, waving his hand dismissively. ''When the flying monkeys come soaring through the station, you will have my undivided attention. Until then, Sam, please take him back to school.''
Stiles paused, scanning his dad over. ''What did you do?'', Stiles asked him. His dad frowned, confused. ''What?'' His dad asked. Then he looked at himself then back at Stiles. ''What do you mean, ''What did I do?''
Stiles looked at him up and down. ''There's something different about you.'', Stiles said, looking his dad over. ''What are you talking about?'', his dad asked. Stiles walked towards his dad and examined him, much to the sheriff’s confusion.
''What is it?'', Stiles muttered as Sheriff Stilinski looked at Sam with confusion before looking at his son once more.
His dad pushed him back and Stiles frowned at his father. ''For the love of God, Stiles, just go to school!''
Stiles pointed his finger at his dad, ''I will go if you promise to do a full background check of the Raekens.''
His dad shook his head, ''No. You know what? Just because I'm the only law enforcement officer who knows anything about this, does not make it my responsibility to do something every time you have a minor suspicion.''
''You're not the only one.'', Sam muttered, looking at Parrish from the windows. Stiles smiled triumphantly as his dad shook his head.
''Parrish!'' He yelled. The deputy looked up, looking at the three in the window.
The sheriff sent the teens to school after doing a background check and Sam left Stiles alone with Malia to rant. Lydia met up with Sam in the bustling hallways of new seniors and new underclassmen.
“How does the first day of senior year feel for you?”, Lydia asked with a smile. Sam sighed. “Can’t be too bad.”, she replied and looked at Lydia who looked to her left. Sam followed her line of sight and saw an unfamiliar face walk through the halls.
“Who’s he?”, Lydia muttered and Sam shrugged. The boy caught Sam’s eye and instantly smiled, picking up his pace as he walked over to the girls. Lydia glanced at Sam before backing away a bit.
“Hi.”, the boy said. Sam tilted her head in curiosity. “Hi?” The boy chuckled shyly and rubbed the back of his neck. “You probably don’t remember me, but I recognized you.” He held out his hand. “I’m Theo. Theo Raeken. From fourth grade.”
Sam’s eyes widened and she took his hand, shaking it and gave him a smile. He looked so much different from what she remembered. Although, it has been years and he looked so full of life. Probably thanks to the bite.
Who did he get bitten by, anyway?
“I’m shocked you remembered me. Haven’t seen you in a while.”, she said. He nodded, chuckling. “Yeah, well, had to give up the inhaler.”
Sam let out a small chuckle of her own. “It’s good to see you.” He nodded. “You too.”, he said, and nodded at Lydia before leaving. Sam let out a soft sigh before Lydia grabbed onto her. “He likes you.”, she whispered. Sam deadpanned. “Don’t start.”
Stiles wasn’t okay with the new appearance of the Raeken boy. He didn’t trust him at all. Scott did. His dad was no help at the moment. He could only rely on Sam. Sam wasn’t even sure either. What harm could Theo possibly do, knowing there’s a strong alpha in Beacon Hills now?
Sam sat in psychology, bored until the fire alarm went off. The students in her class all looked at each other before rushing out with other students.
Sam left the class and stopped as she saw Liam and Scott entering a class next to hers amongst the bustling students and immediately followed them. She saw the two boys and a girl. Tracy was her name. She stood at a desk in the back of the class with another student standing next to her.
Tracy had her hands on both sides of the desk as she breathed heavily. Scott glanced at Sam as she tried walking up to the girl.
Scott held her back and shook his head. “No.” Sam looked at him in disbelief. “Scott, what the hell is going on?”
He shook his head. “I-I dunno. She’s freaking out.” Sam pulled away. “Just lemme help.” Sam didn’t know what she was gonna do, but any help is good. She took cautious steps toward Tracy, holding out a hand.
She stopped once she saw that Tracy gripped the student's arm who let out a gasp of pain from the vice hold.
''Tracy,'' Sam called, warningly. ''Tracy,'' Scott called.
Tracy stared at the older werewolves, but her eyes held a distant look. Sam caught on as she stepped closer. Tracy’s breath became heavier.
''Tracy,'' Scott repeated as he stood by Sam. They saw as blood dripped from the student’s arm. ''She's hurting me.'', The student whimpered.
''Tracy, let go,'' Scott told her, but she wasn't responding. Sam got closer and heard Tracy muttering as she finally let go of the girl's arm. ''They're coming.'' Sam looked at Scott. ''They're coming for all of us.''
Tracy stood up and took a step forward but fell down on the floor and a silver liquid pooled out of her mouth. Sam knelt down to Tracy, grasping the girl. “Hey!”
Mr. Yukimura appeared. ''We have to get her out of here.'', Kira's dad said. Scott nodded in agreement and helped Sam get Tracy out of the room. They rushed out of the classroom and saw Stiles and Malia at the end of the hall. The couple opened the doors with widened, confused eyes and followed them out.
Scott had them rushing to Stiles' Jeep and struggled to put Tracy in the back of the Jeep without her spitting out whatever she had left in her system onto the seats before piling in.
Once Sam and Malia settled Tracy onto their laps, Tracy’s hand gripped Sam’s and her vision blackened before what she once saw was the jeep, now an unfamiliar room lightened by dimmed, flickering green lights.
She felt stuck. Bound. She looked around and saw a large capsule filled with a green liquid and a bandaged man was in it. To her left, there is a table. She turned and saw three familiar figures with the same gas masks from before.
She felt large hands grab onto her shoulders tightly and she couldn’t scream. She wanted to move. To run. To scream for help. Where the hell was she?
''Stop!”, she heard a voice. It was hers. “Get off of me! Stop!!”, she yelled as she saw one of the figures grab a syringe and aimed it toward her.
''Get her off of Sam!” Sam heard in the distance and the sight of Stiles’ jeep appeared once more. Stiles was driving fast, glancing back at Sam and Malia. Malia took Tracy’s hand away from Sam’s as she panted heavily. Scott looked at Sam, trying to settle her down.
“You okay?”, Scott asked. “Did she do anything? Are you bleeding?? Are you hurt?”, Stiles rushed as he drove.
Sam caught her breath and swallowed. “I’m fine.”
Sam glanced at Tracy. “You saw something, didn’t you? What was it?'', Scott asked. ''I— The other day, I was meditating and I had this vision, but it wasn’t a vision. It was Liam’s dream, but… I dunno how to explain it. We saw these people and they looked weird. They looked like…weird, fucked up doctors. They wore gas masks and cloaks. Tracy just said that “they're coming for all of us”.” She looked at Scott. “This shit’s real.”
Her face turned grim as her eyes widened. “They might be after Liam.”
“What!?.'', Stiles exclaimed.
“They saw my face.”, she muttered. Scott frowned. “I won’t let anything to either of you.”, he promised.
Stiles parked his Jeep in front of the Animal Clinic and the teens got out, carrying Tracy inside the clinic. Deaton walked in front and his eyes widened once he saw Tracy.
''Come on.'' He led them to the back and Stiles and Scott placed Tracy on the metal table. Deaton grabbed a small flashlight and clicked on the button and opened one of Tracy's eyelids as he flashed the light to check her eyes.
''Pupils dilate under normal conditions.'', he stated. Deaton placed two of his fingers on her neck. ''Heartbeat is two-fifty.'' He moved her shirt to the side, checking her shoulder. ''Evidence of an allogeneic skin graft on the right shoulder.''
He fixed the shirt and looked at her lips. ''Now, this silvery substance on her lips is not something I've seen. It almost looks like mercury.''
Her body jerked a bit and Stiles and Sam instantly took a step back, ''Uh…''
''Can't you just give her a shot of something?',' Malia asked.
''She doesn't look to be in any pain.'', Deaton replied. ''I meant a shot to kill her.”, Malia corrected and Sam looked at her with wide eyes. “Malia, we talked about this.”, Sam scolded.
''I generally prescribe to a code of ethics that frowns on such measures,'' Deaton explained.
''Malia, you know we're not going to do that.'', Scott told her.
''How do you know she's not going to kill us?'', Malia asked Scott. ''She makes a decent point.'' Stiles said, pointing at Malia. ''Either way, eventually, I'm going to have to let my dad know that she's here.''
''Agreed.'', Deaton agreed with a nod. “And while I may argue against euthanasia, I'm not opposed to a little…'' He trailed off and grabbed a jar that has a small symbol on it. ''Extra security.''
He opened the jar, throwing out mountain ash. Stiles frowned at the substance. The supernatural teens couldn’t get out, but he could. It was a bad idea. Deaton noticed the worried look he has on his face, ''Don't worry, Stiles. Tracy won't be able to cross a line of Mountain Ash.''
''She won't go anywhere.'', Deaton assured. ''Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of.''. Stiles said.
''She's an experiment.'', Sam suddenly said. They looked at her as she stared at Tracy. The syringes, the gas masks, the weird outfits, the room… It was more than suspicious.
''What kind of experiment?'', Deaton asked and Sam shook her head. “I don’t know. But the vision I saw and Liam’s dream… Wherever she was before this, they were experimenting on her.” Deaton frowned as he looked down at Tracy. ''Stiles and I will only be the ones able to get out if something happens. You three,'' He looked at Malia, Scott and Sam, ''not so much.''
“Yeah.”, Sam muttered. Malia frowned and turned her head and moved her hand toward the barrier. Once she couldn’t get her hand through, she pulled away. ''Weird.''
''Scott, would you mind holding her down?'', Deaton asked the young alpha as he grabbed a scalpel. ''I'm going to try a few more invasive tests.'' He placed the tool against her arm and pressed against the girl’s skin but couldn't get through it. He frowned and pressed the knife once more, but it broke in half. He held it up and stared at it in shock.
''I think you're gonna need a bigger blade.'', Stiles stated. Sam frowned and leaned against a wall. What were they? Why were they so threatening? What were they trying to test?
''Now, that's interesting.'', Deaton said, snapping Sam out of her thoughts.
Scott's phone vibrated and everyone looked at him. ''What's up?'', Sam asked. Scott looked down at his phone.
''It's my mom. She's saying that driver’s awake and talking.''
Scott's phone vibrated again and her read out loud once more. ''Driver didn't have a stroke or heart attack. Says it was more like his body just locked up…''
''Like he was paralyzed.'', Stiles stated. ''I think I know what she is.''
Sam sighed in frustration, hoping it wasn’t what she thought it was. ''Do you care to enlighten the rest of us?'', Deaton asked him. ''Because this doesn't look too good.''
''Please, don't let it be another fucking Kanima.'', Sam groaned and walked over to the metal table as Deaton lifted her shirt up. The teens watched the girl's spine move.
Sam’s face scrunched a bit. “Well, that’s just nasty.”
Deaton poked Tracy's spine with his finger as it continued to move under her skin. Suddenly an opening of her back burst and blood splattered on Scott, Deaton and Sam, much to the girl’s disgust. Sam took a shocked step back, stumbling on her feet as she fell down.
She ducked and watched as Tracy moved upwards, then a tail came out her back and hit Stiles in the face. Groaning, Stiles fell onto the ground, before the tail hit Deaton in the face.
Sam’s body felt stiff before she finally fell backwards. ''I fucking hate those things.”, she muttered after Tracy left, much to everyone’s shock. “It didn’t work!?”, she yelled.
Sam watched as Scott collapsed on the floor next to her.
''Not a werewolf.'', Stiles said. ''Hey, uh, Deaton. How the hell did she get through the mountain ash?''
''I don't know.'', the vet answered. ''So she is an experiment?'', Sam muttered.
''I don't know how they succeeded if she was. But this is breaking the rules of the supernatural if she is.'', Deaton explained. ''Because it's a barrier no supernatural creatures should be able to cross.''
''Scott did it!'', Stiles and Sam said.
''Once, but it almost killed me.'', Scott told them.
''We should've killed her.'', Malia growled angrily. ''Meanwhile, she's probably on her way to kill someone else.'', Stiles muttered.
Deaton spoke up, ''Listen, everyone. We need to concentrate. Scott, Malia and Sam, you three will probably be able to move long before Stiles and I can. But you need to focus.''
''Healing.'', Scott answered. ''That's right.'', Deaton agreed.
''I don't know how to heal my body yet. I was only able to heal Aiden.'', she said and Malia agreed.
''Malia, calm down. It's okay…'', Stiles assured. ''I can't calm down.”, Malia huffed. "I can't move.''
''It won't last long.'', Scott told her. ''We're going to be okay. Doc, how do we focus?''
''Think of a body part.”, Deaton said. ''Your hands, your feet, even just the tips of your fingers.'' Sam closed her eyes and took a deep breath. ''Imagine them moving. Set it in your mind and your body will follow.'', Deaton encouraged.
Sam felt her body moving and heard a gasp. Her eyes popped open once she saw she was standing up. A small black blob floated in front of her face and she looked down. Her body was wrapped around a dark, nearly sheer liquid-like substance that kept her upright. Her feet weren’t even touching the floor, but it was a start.
“That’s…something.”, she heard Deaton say. Sam chuckled and felt her toes before wiggling them.
''Okay, unfair.'', Stiles complained. ''I'm pretty sure I felt my right leg move.'' He let out a groan. ''Uh, yeah, definitely felt it. Like a twinge, spasm, something.'' He let out another groan.
''I'm going to have to disagree,'' Deaton told him, whose legs were laid close against Stiles’. ''And I think I hold an informed opinion.''
''Malia.'', Scott said, and Sam turned to look at Malia. Her eyes widened. “I can move.”, she muttered before dropping to the floor, unsteady.
''I don't think she cut me that deep.'', Malia told them as her fingers wiggled. Deaton encouraged, ''Keep going. Keep moving.''
She let out a groan as she was able to move her arm. She gripped on the cabinets behind her and pushed on them, so she could stand up.
''What's happening?'', Stiles asked. ''I can't see.''
Sam was able to get the feeling back in one of her legs as she watched as Malia grunted in pain once she steadied herself. Malia stood up and she grabbed the table as she almost fell back down on the floor. ''Malia, hold on!'', Sam exclaimed.
''There's no time.'', Malia protested.
''Look, she's not a werewolf.'', Stiles said, panicked. ''But she has a scent.'', Malia countered. ''I can find her.''
“You’re definitely not going alone.”, Sam opposed. ''Malia.'', Scott said and she looked at him. ''Save her.'', he said, making Sam look at him in disbelief.
She grunted as she slowly reached for the door, then took off. ''Guys, I can move my toes.'', Stiles declared.
Sam turned to look at him. “You might wanna move faster.”, Sam said and felt a hand on her shoulder, quickly turning around to see Theo Raeken. “You okay?”, he asked. She absently nodded.
“What the-” Theo went to help Scott up before helping Stiles up. ''How did you find us?'' Scott asked. '''Cause you work here.'', Theo replied, getting Deaton up. ''I heard about Tracy; I've been looking for you two.''
''We lost her.'', Scott said to Theo. ''And Malia.'', Stiles added.
''I can help.'', Theo reassured. ''Let me help.''
''We don't need your help anymore.'', Stiles retorted. ''They’re at the Sheriff's station.
''Okay, well, who's going to drive?'', Theo asked. ''None of you are in the best condition to drive.'' Scott looked at him. ''Look, it doesn't have to mean I'm part of the pack. Or like you accepted me or anything like that. It just means I can help catch this girl or, well, at least, let me drive you there. I can help to stop her.''
Scott looked at Sam then at Stiles, who just gave him a look. Scott looked unsure. ''Scott. I can help you.'', Theo repeated. Sam’s eyebrows furrowed. He was persistent… Much like her when Scott first got bitten, just like Liam… but it wasn’t pressing. Like he was looking for something.

I thought you never did… Chapter six

The alarm went off, causing you to stir, but Dean? Dean didn’t move a muscle. “Dean.” You mumbled sleepily, touching his shoulder gently, but he didn’t stir, you rolled your eyes already feeling annoyed. You kept shaking him, you already were more awake than he was. “What?” He mumbled sleepily, nuzzling into his blanket. “You gotta get up.” You said already annoyed as Dean checked his phone, “Oh shoot.” He said almost jumping out of bed, grabbing his clothes and taking them on, before rushing into the bathroom.
While he got ready in the bathroom, you turned around and fell asleep one more time until it was 11AM. When you woke up you heard Ryan and Sam talking about god knows what when you rubbed your eyes tiredly. You got up adjusting your hoodie and joggers when you walked past them, mumbling a small good morning before disappearing into the bathroom.
You walked into the kitchen after to grab a glass of water when you noticed how messy Dean’s kitchen looked like. You chewed on your lip thinking it only would be fair if the three of you cleaned the mess up. “Hey guys.” You said when you plopped down next to Ryan. “Hey.” Sam said with a smile. “Did you sleep well?” You nodded with a smile. “Dean almost slept in and got late for work.” You said with a small laugh as the guys laughed too.
“Well…that’s just Dean.” Sam said with a laugh as Ryan nodded in agreement. You let out a small laugh, too. “Sooo…” You spoke up a moment later and the guys looked up from their phones. “Maybe we should clean up the kitchen after Dean made dinner yesterday?” You suggested since you thought it’d be just fair towards Dean. Your mom always taught you to be a good guest and clean up after messes you were involved in, like the dinner the day before.
“Why?” Ryan whined which made you frown a bit, not liking when someone’s lazy as fuck, but expecting to stay at a friends place for granted is just rude. “Because Dean made dinner, lets us stay here for /free/ and it’s kinda least we can do.” You said with a shrug. “I agree.” Sam said knowing his brother sometimes is just…overwhelmed with doing the dishes and cleaning up in general.
“Then come on, Ryan. Don’t be a whiny bitch.” You said playfully as Ryan rolled his eyes and got off the couch he and Sam were sleeping on. You and the guys walked into the kitchen und started doing the rest of dishes, wiping the stove and vacuuming the whole apartment.
When Dean came home he was surprised to find his apartment so cleaned up and tidily. “Thanks guys.” Dean said with a smile. “It’s all Y/N’s fault,” Sam said playfully. “Ryan didn’t even want to help at first.” You said with a raised eyebrow as Ryan shrugged. “But in the end I helped, that’s what matters.” He said and Dean nodded in agreement. “Yup, exactly.” Dean said with a smile.
To be honest the day was pretty similar to the day before, just that Dean got really drunk that day and the two of you ended up cuddling on his couch…in front of his brother and best friend. Sam and Dean already talked about you and how Dean felt about you, but he didn’t talk to Ryan about. Dean mentioned a few times that you’re really cute and pretty, but nothing more.
Ryan kinda was…don’t know how to say it…crushing on you too. Seeing you there with Dean and not him kinda made him jealous. Every time you were laughing about something stupid Dean said, he wanted you to laugh about something he said, too. You eventually did sometimes but not as much as you did laugh about Dean’s words.
While Dean was smiling drunkly at you, you returned the smile adoringly since he looked really cute and just soft.
When Dean looked at you, he felt so…calm and comfortable. He didn’t even feel that way with Kira, he liked holding you in his arms and he liked being in yours. And that just within 24 hours of seeing each other in real life. There’s was just something special about you, he couldn’t quite place it.
“I think it’s time for you to go to bed.” You told Dean softly and he smiled drunkly at you. “With you?” He asked hopefully. You nodded, “Yes, with me.” You told him with a small laugh as you got off his couch. He smiled happily yet drunkly as you helped to get up in his current state. You two walked into his bedroom and lied him down on his side of the bed.
Sam already was soundly asleep when you walked into the bedroom and Ryan told you guys, he was going to get some sleep too eventually. You closed the door of Dean’s bedroom before you lied down next to Dean. He smiled lazily at you, you returned the smile getting comfortable in his bed. He wrapped his arms around you snuggling you close as he admired you. When you looked at him you couldn’t help but blush as he cupped your cheek.
He leaned in and placed his plump and soft lips on yours, your eyes immediately fluttered close. That’s the moment you were thinking about for…days, what no, MONTHS. You melted into his touch and kissed him back as his lips started moving against yours. He kissed you so gently and softly as he placed his hand on your back under your hoodie. You blushed deeply when you felt his hand under your hoodie, a boy never has touched you there before so it was definitely something new for you.
You hesitantly drove your hand through his soft and curly hair he sighed against your lips as he started kissing you rougher and hungrier. He suddenly felt so hungry kissing you. You sighed when he placed his hands on your ass and gave it a firm squeeze. You suddenly felt the arousal between your legs increase, which didn’t surprise you to be honest. Dean was a pretty good-looking and handsome guy which used to be your type. Even tho you never had sex, which Dean didn’t know since you decided to lie about it, you touched yourself, a lot. You imagined a lot how a guy would touch and make you feel. Your friends always told you about how sex feels and how good it is and makes them feel. Honestly you kinda were jealous and wanted to have sex too you were the only person with 18-years that still was a virgin.
Right then, you were so ready to have sex with Dean, you finally wanted to experience how it feels. He pulled away from the kiss his lips swollen from making out with you still caressing the valley of your right breast. “I really want to have sex with you.“ He eventually breathed out as he couldn’t help but squeeze your breast firmly. You bit your lip at the feeling since a guy, a guy, finally squeezed your breast and not your own hand. “Me too.“ You breathed out. “But I’m scared.“You whispered quietly. “Why?“ He asked with a small worried frown. “Because it’s been some time since I had intercourse with anyone.“ You lied.
“Okay.“ He says softly and kissed your head. “We don’t have to.“ He says softly. “But I really want to.“ You told him honestly. “Really?“ He asked and you nodded. He leaned in once more and kissed you hungrily as he squeezed your breast firmly. You sighed when you felt your nipples stiffening. Dean grinned against your neck when he felt your hard nipple poke his palm.
You two continued making out and ripping your clothes from each other. When you were naked Dean pulled away from the heated kiss to look for a condom. He sighed when he didn’t find one in his nightstand and got off the bed. You noticed his hard boner showing through his boxers when you covered yourself with the blanket since it was a bit cold inside his room.
Dean mostly cursed to himself when he didn’t find one and went into the bathroom. He sighed happily when he found one in there. He quickly left the bathroom passing two sleeping forms.
You blushed deeply when he entered the bedroom, closing the door quietly behind him. He pulled his boxers down and gave his cock a few pumps before tearing the wrapping open with his teeth, holding the wrapper between his teeth when he rolled the rubber onto his cock.
Your eyes went so wide when you noticed how big and thick his cock was. The arousal between your legs grew even more, your cunt was betraying you, it was more than ready to suck his cock in.
Dean smiled at you lying down next to you. He kissed you deeply and hungrily when he got on top of you spreading your legs gently, your body obeyed almost immediately doing what Dean wants.
Dean placed one of digits on your clit groaning softly against your lips as he noticed how wet your mound was before he began to circle your clit gently. You moaned softly into his mouth at how different it felt when someone else then yourself did it.
To be honest you were a nervous wreck but you were more excited than nervous. You were so excited about experiencing sex for the first time, will it be like everyone told you? Will it be good or better? Or will it be horrible and hurtful? One of your friends told you it hurt so bad, she started crying. You swallowed hard at the thought as Dean positioned his cock at your entrance.
Dean entered you in one swift move, having no problem since you were so wet. You closes your eyes expecting a lot of pain, but honestly? You didn’t feel any pain, you felt kinda full? But in a good way. Dean grabbed your right boob firmly as he started moving almost immediately making you bite your lip at how good it felt. “Feel good?” He asked between breaths. “Yeah.” You suddenly moaned, feeling your cheeks flush in a deep red at the sound you made.
He kissed you hungrily as he moved even faster inside you making you moan against his lips. This was even better than your stupid imaginations and your own hand and fingers. This was real.
He circled your clit fast and harshly, you moaned quietly when you felt close. Dean kinda feeling out of breath as he quickens his movements. You felt an orgasm approach, but this one was going to be different. The one you felt coming seemed more intense. When you moaned his name your eyes rolled back in euphoria and your back arched off the bed. Dean groaned at the feeling of your pussy clenching around his dick. The sounds you made, let him cum immediately.
You needed some time to calm down after Dean pulled out. He looked at the ceiling slightly grinning to himself. He looked at you with a smile pulling you into his arms. The feeling of holding you made the moment a hundred times better. He snuggled you rubbing your arm gently.
Tumblr media
The next morning kinda was weird, you felt so…different? You lost your virginity and had sex for the first time! For you it was so different, you just couldn’t place it.
Dean and you shared a lot of smiles during breakfast, Sam and Ryan seemed to notice. Ryan felt jealous about the way you looked at Dean, but Sam? Sam was happy that you two kinda figured something out between the two of you.
All of you hung out for a few hours before it was time for you to go to the train station and drive home. “Thanks for the weekend.” You said to them with a gentle smile when they waited with you for the train. “It was really nice meeting you.” Sam says happily and you smiled at him nodding. “You too.” You said softly before you glanced at Dean. Still processing that you’re no virgin no more.
The system announced that your train would get there any second, “So that’s goodbye.” Ryan said with a smile. “Yeah.” You pulled Dean into tight hug in a rush, not hugging the others as you saw your train. “Bye!” You called towards them before getting inside the train.
Sam laughed a bit at that watching you leave, not minding that you didn’t hug him, but Ryan? He was fucking jealous of Dean, not understanding what Dean had that he didn’t. He glared madly at Dean before watching you taking your seat.
You waved at them happily before the train drove off making Dean smile adoringly at you. Ryan noticed the smile frowning slightly and knowing something happened between the two of you, but he knew he’d find out eventually.

Death Note, meet Supernatural- CHAPTER 1
Relationships: L (Death Note)/Reader, L (Death Note)/Original Female Character(s)
Summary: What if Death Note existed in a world with Winchesters in it? Would L finally have the evidence he needs to prove Light is Kira? How will L fare in a world where monsters are real and not every case is solvable by him? Lucky for him, there's a hunter here to work side-by-side with him.
Chapter Summary: With data from L's investigation, it wouldn't have taken long for a hunter to find the mystery of Death Note, find the Shinigami and Kira, and ganking them both. If you're curious about how it plays out, read on!
Chapter 1: Japan, here I come!
I open my burning eyes. Tears blur my vision as I try to forget the images from my latest nightmare. My boys…my poor boys…“I will bring you both back”, I promise…for over the 100th time. Shaking off my thoughts, I get ready for the day mentally ticking off my checklist for my trip to Japan. The first truly big nuisance since Dick Roman, this Kira, was killing off criminals left and right.
It was not my typical case but something about Kira’s requirements of killing was supernatural. He needed a name and face to kill. With just those, he could kill anyone from anywhere. Which human could do that? And even if they could, the means had to be supernatural. Perhaps they made a demon deal, or Kira used a cursed object. Not only that, there was perhaps someone else with Kira’s power who only needed a face to kill. 3 Japanese police officers dropped dead during a TV broadcast- names unknown.
The world’s security agencies were stumped. The number 1 detective in the world, L, was working on it but even he hadn’t been able to put a stop to Kira's killings till now. I could only assume it was because of the supernatural factor. Which made it my responsibility. What the hell those Japanese hunters were doing I didn’t know- and I couldn’t find out because not many hunters trusted my little Team Free Will after the whole opening of the Devil’s Gate, starting the Apocalypse and releasing the Leviathans into the world. Couldn’t blame them tbh.
It did make this whole investigation pretty hard though. If only Sam was here…This was my problem. I had become so tangled up with the Winchesters that it was impossible for me to not think about them for more than 10 minutes. I was on my own now. Alone. A lone wolf. And I was about to feel like absolute shit once I landed in Japan and my social awkwardness came out to play in a foreign country whose language I wasn't familiar with. Fingers crossed.
—One plane ride later—
Tumblr media
First stop, Wakoucha at the airport cafe. Overpriced but worth every yen. After a couple of sips, I got my bearings and hauled ass to the hotel the FBI director set me up at. Presidential suite, of course. Exorcising a demon outta his brother would go a long way.
A ping on my laptop draws my attention. A video call from the guy himself. Answering it, I say, “Hey, I just got to—” when he makes a shushing gesture. I pipe down, curious to see what he’s on about. He holds up a piece of paper for me to read. Surprisingly, I can read it perfectly. Which means someone must have taken the pain to write it inverted. There’s no doubt what it is. At my nod, he promptly sets fire to the paper with a lighter, gives me a thumbs up and ends the call.
Well, then. No time to waste.
I change into the charming suit that makes me look like a cinnamon roll, idiots never see it coming when I gank them. All geared up I go to my FBI-issued car (I miss Baby) and head up to meet the famous L and the officially “disbanded” taskforce.
—Time Skip—
The building is quite ordinary from the outside. The same old grey skyscraper with the corporate soul-sucking vibe. Somewhere inside there is a group of people with whom I will be catching a killer with supernatural powers. L’s right-hand man was informed of my arrival and he was waiting for me right as I step in the doors. He’s completely covered from head to toe so that I cannot even get one glimpse of his skin. The only thing I can say is he’s tall. The dude’s just standing there until I clear my throat and speak, “Verification?”. Nodding, he starts-“Jefferson” and I finish-“Starship”.
Codes confirmed, he wordlessly leads me down the lobby. The security inside is no joke. When the detectors beep, he gestures to me to upturn my pockets. Knowing there’s no way out of this, I take out the couple of guns and knives I had on me. He even confiscates my mobile phone. The holy water’s filled in a disposable plastic bottle so I can easily take it past the checkpoint. No way I could’ve broken in here on my own. I can’t help but feel like a dumb kid who doesn’t know the hell she’s doing. Before, with Sam and Dean, it was just natural to feel confident and self-assured. I try to channel some of that right now and attempt to make conversation. “Call me Anne (Pick your fake name). Pleased to meet you. How’s the case coming along sir? Any new leads since we last talked?” To my credit, my voice only wavers for 5 seconds max. The guy gives me a side glance but doesn’t respond. Not to be discouraged any more than I already am, I barrel on. “So I’ve been following this case like everybody and I already have a couple of theories- I can’t share them yet- but I’d like to ask you something about L. I’ve heard he’s a bit…moody and I don’t want to butt heads with him on the investigation or make him feel like I’m taking over. Any words of advice on how to make this smooth sailing?”
Silence. Fine then. I’ve already given too much power to him. Now it’s time to be all tough and laconic myself. We take the elevator and stop several floors up. My heart is fluttering as a tall dude leads me to a set of doors and just throws them open. Every head snaps my way. Well, shit.
I flashback to 1st grade when I changed schools. The teacher was mean and made me stand in front of the class and introduce myself. I hated her then and I hate the tall dude now. I turn to glare at him to find out he’s already left. Turning to face my audience, I wave and give a sheepish smile. I know I just look like a dork. God, what’s wrong with me? When did I suddenly become a schoolgirl? These guys will never take me seriously now. Damn it.
I jump when a voice pulls me out of my self-criticism, “Who are you? How did you get in?” It’s a guy about Bo…60 years old pointing a gun at me. Nearly everyone is except a couple of boys. I start to answer but another voice cuts me off. A warm, gravelly, soothing voice. “She’s our newest member.” It takes me a moment to realize the speaker is this cute little weirdo sitting in a big chair in front of a gigantic screen. Seriously, just wow. A moment of appreciation is required here. This guy is soooooo cute. I drink in his features- his big bambi eyes, his chaotic raven hair that I long to feel, his perfect mouth as he pops in a marshmall- “We have to tolerate her for now as the FBI has forced her upon us”, the said mouth pipes up. And just like that my fantasies take a sharp turn and I see my fist connecting with his teeth and his perfect mouth bloody.
Feeling sufficiently insulted, I snark back, “Shut the hell up, asshole. Like I’m thrilled to be forced to work with a bunch of incompetent jackasses who haven’t been able to catch a pathetic killer in months. The headquarters had to send in a babysitter to mind the greatly overrated L. Make sure you give me the case report before you choke to death stuffing your cakehole and do Kira’s work for him.”
His eyes narrow and I ain’t backing down. Let’s show him who’s boss.

See You Again
Chapter 1
"Hey Katherine," said the blonde girl who was being carried by another girl with long dark hair on her back as they were walking along the riverside. Katherine didn't respond and instead she continued walking silently. "Are you mad?" The girl asked. She was wiggling her feet; one of them was wrapped with bandage. "No." Katherine replied.
The girl poked her cheek repeatedly. "You know, you can't lie to me. I can tell even if I can't see your face." She said. "I'm sorry I made you worry."
Katherine stopped walking. "Look Amelia, if you try to go alone again up in the mountains, I will seriously get mad at you. Just look at what happened to you earlier. What if I didn't arrive on time?"
"But you arrived and I'm safe and I was able to make the medicine needed for Sally's mother and now she's going to get better." Amelia reasoned out. "Yes, but you also injured yourself!" Katherine shouted which startled Amelia. She has never seen the older girl shout like this. "You must be really mad at me." Amelia said sadly. Tears started falling from her eyes and fell down on Katherine's shoulder. "Are you crying?" Katherine asked as she was about to put down Amelia but the other girl stopped her by holding on to her tightly. Katherine sighed and then she continued walking silently.
----
I was awoken by the sound of my phone ringing. I opened my eyes but the light from outside is blinding me, making me realised that the sun is already up. "Hello?" I said groggily. "SAM! WHERE ARE YOU?" I put my phone away from my ear and looked into the caller ID. "KIRA" is what's written on it. "Is that how you wake up your best friend?" I asked as I sit up. Well, to be honest, this is not the first time that she has yelled at me over the phone. I looked on to my alarm clock on my bed side table and realised that it's already 9:30 in the morning. It was then that I realised that today is her arrival here in Lethbridge and I was supposed to pick her up in the airport.
"SO NOW YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT YOU JUST WOKE UP?!" Kira said angrily. Seriously I could already imagine that she's fuming right now. "Yes. Look, I'm sorry. I did overtime last night and did not hear my alarm. I'll be there as soon as I can." I said as before I hung up on her. She was going to say more for sure but I'll save that for later. She can scold me all she wants but I have to go and pick her up right now, so I immediately change my clothes and pick up my car keys and went out of my apartment as fast as I can.
As I was about to go inside my car, I noticed the arrival of a container van. It was then that I remembered my landlord saying that the old store in front of our apartment building will be reopening soon.
My thoughts were broken when my starts ringing once again. "Right, I almost forgot." I said to myself as went in my car and started driving my way to the airport.
-----
I stood in front of an old building where Amelia's old apothecary was located about 200 years ago. Today, I am about to open my own apothecary in this same spot. Who would have thought that I will be back to this place after her death?
I was waiting for the arrival of my supplies when I noticed a girl who seems to be in a hurry as she runs out of the building opposite my store.
It's her, the girl that I met three years ago, the girl who looked exactly like my Amelia. If I didn't know what happened a long time ago, this girl could really fool me and make me think that she's her. Their resemblance is really strong – from her voice, her eyes, the hair color – everything, including the taste of their blood. As I was watching her, my delivery van arrived. A guy went out of the van from the passenger seat. "I'm looking for Miss Katherine Sommers?" He said as he holds some pieces of paper. "That's me." I replied. "Great. Nice meeting you Miss Sommers. I'm Arthur and I'll be helping you out today."
-----
It was raining hard that night when Amelia heard a knock on her door. "Who could be knocking this late at night?" She said to herself as she went towards the door. She was surprised to see Katherine who was looking pale and was soaking wet because of the rain outside. "Katherine? What happened to you?" She asked. "A-me-lia..." Katherine muttered before she lost her consciousness and fell on the arms of Amelia who do not know what to do.
"Katherine?" Amelia said as she tried to wake her up but Katherine wouldn't respond. It was then that she noticed the wound on the older girl's back as she was bleeding non-stop. It was a gunshot wound.
She pulled Katherine inside and helped her lay on the bed. She got some warm water and some clean cloth and bandages for her wound. Amelia turned Katherine to her side so she could get a good look at her wound. After ripping her blouse from the back, she wiped it with some cloth dipped with warm water. With the help of a small knife which was disinfected by running it through the fire, she cut the wound in order to get out the wound that was stuck inside her back.
"A silver bullet." Amelia muttered as she pulled out the bullet. She then looked at Katherine who was shivering and was burning with fever. She stitched the wound and carefully cleaned it and wrapped it with bandage.
"What are you really?" She asked as she sat by her side.

If Sam were suddenly transported in Teen Wolf how do you think that’d go?
ohh!! good question, thank you!!
i think that would be so funny first and foremost! i’m p sure stiles has read comics? it’s hinted at once i think? and while there’s a general knowledge of the flash, the rouges gallery for him is usually only known by fans, so recognizing sam is probably only gonna be done by stiles … at first.
so, sam, transported to another dimension where meta humans don’t exist, and all her friends/associates are fictional characters? she’s gonna go the only thing she can, blend in. miss grifter is going back to high school.
she’s not gonna change her name, so when stiles here’s it, he definitely decides to stalk her for a bit (Scott: you’re chasing around a girl bc she has the same name as a character you like? I’m a werewolf and I think that’s insane) and then he catches her using her powers … immediately starts theorizing. Scott: she is not a comic book character. Sam, when confronted: i am a comic book character.
Then on, it’s sam helping and the rest of the pack trying to help sam get home (sam reading the comics: it didn’t go down like this). i’m picturing around s2 era, but i’d be fun if sam stuck around till kira showed up! doppelgängers! (even more fun mystery with what kira is!). actually, i think kira would be the key to sam getting home! bc kitsunes are mischievous in folklore, i’d imagine maybe it was one from the comics that transported sam, and one could send her home! (did we ever find out what type kiras mom was?)

Could we see a little girls night out/boys babysitting night? One of my favourite drabbles to re-read is when Ran and Steve are watching the kids and they overhear him saying he fucks his wife🤦🏻‍♀️😂 surely that’s not the only time Ransom put his foot in it, is it? -🦋
Haha!! These men, there's so many of them, but also so many little girls! And who else do you think is going to join them? So Ransom is trying to keep Iris and James, and then Aster and Carter apart. But then you have Emy and Story who have BIG personalities. Sammy and Blade, AJ and Cas, and then Kira.

“No, no.  Like this,” Emy leans her head forward furrowing her brow at Sam.
“Samuel, that is not how you pour tea for the princesses,” Story reminds him, and he tries again.  Both girls nod their head at him, but he gets a tap on his leg from Emy when he holds his tea cup wrong.
“Pinky up,” as soon as his pinky goes up she quits her tapping.  “Have you found a keeper of the keys?”
Story’s eyes look over at Sam, as she bats them quickly.  “Have I?”
“What does that even mean?” she pulls out a ring of old looking keys and puts in in his lap.  “That didn’t tell me anything.”
“You hold onto the keys to the kingdom,” he slowly blinks his eyes looking back and forth between the two girls.  “This,” Story’s arms go up looking around the estate, “Is the kingdom.”
“Does your dad know you have these keys?” Story shakes her head no.
“Samuel!  Will you be the keeper of the keys?” Emy shouts at him.
“Will you two leave me alone if I say yes?” with a hard single nod from both, he sighs, “Fine, I’ll be the keeper of the keys.  But I’m gonna have to tell your dad that you have these.”
“You can’t.  That’s part of the rules.”
________________________________________________________________
“I promise you, if you take one step closer...” Jake’s eyes go between Kira, AJ, and Cas, “You’ll leave me no choice!” he holds up his Nerf gun, cocking it and Blade takes another step forward, “That’s it!”  he lurches forward and starts running after Blade.  Sammy and Kira split ways, and Jake just fires randomly to anyone that he can hit.  Jumping to shoot in AJ and Cas’ direction, and they start firing back.
Jake spins around, firing out Nerf bullets, and missing the majority of the time.  Bucky leans his head from around the tree trunk, and then turns back to Blade and Sammy.  “Okay, the idiot is going wild right now.  I’m sure he’s about to lose some stamina.”
Blade peeks around the tree as well, watching his ‘uncle’, “You’re right.  He’s doing that weird breathing.  So I think Bucky should go that way, and Sammy and I should go this way.”
“You’re leaving me to fend for myself?”
“You’re bigger than us Bucky!” Sammy shouts, and Jake turns in their direction quickly.
“We don’t have a choice now.  It’s every man for himself!  Run!!” Bucky runs out behind the tree shooting bullet after bullet at Jake who gets shot every time.  His body pretends to take every one before he falls flat on his back.
“You killed me Buck!  All of you guys were...you were after me.  We said no teams,” his head flops to the ground, but he’s dramatic, so his death is slow.  He’s not finished, “How dare you.  Kids after Bucky now!”
________________________________________________________________
Ransom leaves Aster and Carter outside talking, while he roams the estate in search of Iris and James.  “I’m going to kill them,” he grunts.  Opening up every single door he can find.  At the end of the hall he sees Iris jump out of a guest room.
“Hey Daddy.”
“Don’t hey daddy me, where is...?” James slowly steps out.  “I hate girls night out!  Get out there with everyone else or go have a tea party with Sam!”
“Where’s dad?”
“He went to go get pizza.  Now, get out!  I hate having teenagers and I hate girls night out.  Do you two act like this with your mothers?” Iris shrugs but James nods his head.  Looking at Iris he starts shaking his head no.  “Go get shot by a Nerf gun.”
________________________________________________________________
The men sit in the lawn chairs while they watch the older kids chase the younger ones.  Not paying any mind on who is missing, “This is the way it should be,” Sam takes a long drink of the beer.  “So where was the horny teenagers?”
Ransom scoffs, his eyes still burning holes into James Carter Rogers.  “Quit doing that,” Steve hits him on the shoulder.  “We have had to watch you and Kitten making out, at least they had the decency to go into another room.  I have literally seen you pull her shirt out to look at her titties.”
“My titties,” Steve rolls his eyes looking back at the kids.  “I just don’t want to think about your son copping a feel and playing tonsil hockey with my daughter.”
“What’s that?” Story walks up behind her dad with a box of popsicles, and Ransom just raises his eyebrows at her.  “Copping a feel and tonsil hockey.  It sounds fun.”
“No, it’s not.”
“Well can I try it?” Ransom shakes his head causing her to giggle.  “Daddy!  I wanna play tonsil hockey,” she stomps her foot but he still shakes his head no.  “Can I play tonsil hockey with you?”
“Absolutely not.”
“What about with Bucky?” Bucky snorts throwing his head back, but Ransom still shakes his head.  “What about with Carter?”
“Hell no!”
“So I can’t jump on the bed and I can’t play tonsil hockey?”
“No, you can’t do any of it.”
She hands him a cherry popsicle, going around to give each of the other men one, before turning back to him, “I’m gonna ask mom if I can play tonsil hockey with Carter.”
“Story Rose Drysdale!  You come back here!  Don’t you ask that...she’s going to ask Carter what it is,” Story pulls Carter down to whisper in his ear, and he stands back up, eyes wide looking at Ransom.  “Does anybody want a daughter?”
Sam starts cackling, “You should have just told her it was...”
“Mr. Drysdale?” Carter asks with a jog walking over to them, “Um, Story she asked...well, you see, um...”
“Carter,” Steve responds laughing, “we know.  I’m gonna put you out of your misery.”
“I didn’t tell her,” Steve flicks his hand for Carter to run off before squinting at Ransom.
“You could have put the poor boy out of his misery.”
“There’s too many damn kids here,” Sam sits up, his eyes had been randomly taking count of all of them, before he just stops.  “You got some running over here, and then some over here.  Ain’t none of these mine.  And don’t you say it,” he looks at Bucky shaking his head, “This isn’t even all of ‘em.  Ya’ll are fertile.  Especially you,” he points at Ransom who only shrugs.  “Is four enough?”
“Nope.”
________________________________________________________________
“Don’t go breaking my heart,” Bucky does a quick little shimmy staring down at the two girls who refuse to give up the mic.
“I couldn’t if I tried,” Emy and Story sing up at him.  Both giving Bucky the biggest heart eyes.
“Oh honey, if I get restless.”
“Baby you’re not that kind,” the three continue to sing through the whole song.  Bucky even grabbing a hand to twirl them around under his arm, while never missing a beat.
Sam grabs Aster’s hand and starts dancing with her.  Kira already moving around with Blade, Jake, AJ, Cas, and Sammy.  Steve looks over to Ransom, “I’m not dancing with you.”
“Everybody else has a partner.”
“Carter doesn’t,” Ransom points over to him.  Carter may not have a partner but he sings every word with them, until Bucky gets him to move up there with them, handing him the microphone while they both sing into it.
“Everyone is dancing but you,” Steve moves his shoulders around with a big smile getting closer.
“Stop.  Please...quit it.”
“I think your daughter has a new crush,” Ransom looks up at Story who has Bucky squatting down with her singing in sync with him.  Her round eyes shining up at him.
“My daughter needs to quit liking older men.”
“He’s really old.  Acts like he’s a hundred and six sometimes.”
“I hate you.”
“You said Kitten was ovulating.  Maybe you can make a baby,” Ransom turns and looks at Steve harshly.  “What, trying to lighten the mood.  Ooh, they’re starting I Wanna Dance with Somebody, I’m joining in before Jake gets a chance to sing Don’t Stop Believing, you grumpy thing!”

I don't like memories because the tears come easily, and once again I break my promise to myself for this day. Its a constant battle . A war between remembering and forgetting.
Back in her darkened bedroom, Tallulah still couldn't wrap her head around her current situation. The rest of the night consisted of her being introduced to people who seemed to know more about her then she had wanted, clearly word spreads fast around La Push. Josie had introduced her to some of her friends that had arrived later, after the tribal stories. Clearly only there for the party. They seemed nice, but they were definitely not the type of people she would choose to be friends with herself.
Lenna had made herself scarce throughout the entire, to which her twin stated was typical behaviour. But Tallulah figured it had more to do with her presence than anything else. Tally couldn't help but look for the tan boy she had locked eyes with, something about him was so alluring. It was almost frustrating, Tallulah Forester doesn't get captivated by anyone, not ever. She was the captivating one, at least that's what Xander had always said. “You're like a tornado, with pretty eyes and a heartbeat. Luring in bystanders until you’ve ruined their lives..That's what I enjoy so much about you”, that was the last thing he had said to her before she had left his house party the night she had been caught. Their relationship was a mess, both of them struggling for control, even if it meant hurting each other in the process. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but it was all she ever had. She craved it in an almost masochist way.
Tallulah's phone had been off all night, not in the mood to deal with the onslaught of messages she was sure to get, now that she had a moment to breath by herself she figured she may as well read them, 1 5 messages from Lina and 3 missed calls, her best friend, was more than likely freaking out, consumed by guilt over the fact that their lies to their parents had been crossed. 7 messages from Kit, who she figured was already trying to plan how to spin this to make herself the victim, as Kit does, and 1 lone message from Xander, the only one she read before she shut off her phone to go to sleep.
That sucks :(
Was all that it said.
-
After a lot of tossing and turning in the bed that was almost too soft, mixed with the pillows that weren’t soft enough, Tallulah drifted off to sleep. She dreamed of the boy who had taken her by storm, his smile seemed brighter than the sun and the way he laughed was like music to her ears. They were on a cliff overlooking the ocean, she could see that he was talking, but couldn't hear what he was saying, she watched as he stood up and walked towards the edge of the cliff, looking as though he was about to jump, she stood up in a panic--
Tallulah startled awake to Kira shaking her shoulder gently, a soft smile graced her face. It was raining, but Tallulah could tell it was early morning.
“Tally, sweetie, you’re dad and I would like to speak with you before he goes to a meeting” she said quietly, “Get dressed and meet us downstairs in ten minutes,” she spoke, the smile never leaving her lips. Tallulah groaned, not one to be a morning person in the slightest, she swung her legs out of bed, toes touching the cool hardwood floors. She could hear low murmurs outside her door as she heaved herself out of bed, still not used to her surroundings she walked to her two duffle bags and sifted through the clothes before settling on an oversized, green long sleeve to cover the stick and poke tattoos that littered her arms, with ripped, loose, blue jeans. One disappointment at a time, she thought to herself as she got dressed. She grabbed her hairbrush from her bag and ran it through her hair, leaving it to lay in its natural waves down her back before quietly heading downstairs to whatever talk she was awaiting.
She was met with Kira and her father sitting at the kitchen table next to each other, and as they beckoned her over to sit, she noticed the thin, blue rectangle laying in the middle of the table. The same blue rectangle she had so carefully hid in her room back in Seattle, or so she thought. She could feel anger begin to bubble in her belly as realization dawned on her, her mother had been through her room.
She sat expectantly, waiting for her dad to chastise her for using drugs, or even alcohol, as a minor and how that could affect her future, but he looked to Kira to begin. The gentle smile that was near permanent on her stepmom was almost comforting in the moment, almost. “Tally”, She starts, “We are aware of your.. pastimes, in Seattle, however, we will not be encouraging that same behaviour here.” she sounds like a damn counselor, Tallulah thought to herself. She’d honestly prefer being yelled at. “We have a few ground rules that we expect you to follow, as we do Lenna and Josette.” Kira continued, “Under no circumstances, will we allow drugs under our roof, including nicotine,” she says referring to the vape sitting in between them, “Or alcohol that does not belong to your father and I. If you are to partake in these activities and are caught you will have consequences.” She looks at Joseph, as if they had rehearsed their own parts, looking towards her dad expectantly, “Secondly,” He speaks up, “As we expect with the twins, any boy, or girl, that you are,, having relations with, we expect to meet, no sneaking them through bedroom windows.” Tallulah cringes internally, it was one time, she wanted to yell. “Curfew will be 11:00 pm on school nights and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, no exceptions.. Understood?” he asked, looking at his eldest daughter. She wants to argue with them, tell them that policing her life won’t make her change, not the way that they wanted her to at least. That was something her mother learned the hard way. She had taken the door off her bedroom when she had found out she was sneaking out in the night, which only caused Tallulah to start sneaking out the front door instead, right in front of her.
“You done?” she asks, yawning, this wasn’t new to her at all, and she really didn’t care to be frank. The two adults look at each other, Kira nodding her head in Tallulah's direction, Joseph sighed before tossing a key chain on the table next to her vape. A small house key was connected to what looked like a car key. “Choose one.”
Temptation or Freedom?
Tallulah spent the rest of the day running errands with Josie, who had offered to show her around the reservation. They had stopped at Monets, the local cafe, run by the Littleseas, its the go to hangout spot, according to Josie. Who happens to be friends with Colin Littlesea, the eldest son of the owners.
Tallulah picked at the half eaten muffin sitting in front of her as she waited for Josie to return with a refill of both of their coffees. They were so different from each other, Tallulah drinking hers black, while Josies consisted of mainly cream and sugar, just like their personalities, but for some odd reason they clicked.
The car her father and Kira gave her was originally supposed to go to Josie, so that the twins no longer would have to share their current one. Finding out that alone made her reconsider her choice, at least a nicotine addiction only really affected her, but with a lot of reassurance from Josie, and the simple ask that Tallulah help run her errands eased her guilt. She didn't want to upend the twins' life, it wasn’t their fault her parents decided to force her to move to La Push. While Josie seemed to enjoy her presence, Lenna did not, and it's clear now she was avoiding her.
Tallulah gazed around the quaint yet homey cafe, its hand painted walls consisted of the same trees that surrounded the reservation, it was peaceful. She looked towards the door as it chimed, alerting the staff of new customers entering, a group of extremely tall, good looking men walked through the door, causing the calm energy to shift with their booming laughs, everyone seemed to be used to this behaviour, considering she was the only one to look in their direction.
Her eyes followed the group of boys, taking each one in, by the time she reached the last, he was already looking at her. Paul Lahote. The largest of them all, in height and muscle, she thought to herself as her eyes raked his body.
Josie setting her coffee down in front of her broke her concentration on the boy, her attention fully shifted to her half-sister. “What do they feed the men here? They are all so tall” Tallulah asked jokingly, to which Josie laughed, shaking her head. “Not all of them. Just the ones who hang around Sam Uley. Some people say he's giving them steroids but dad swears against it. So does mom.” She watched Josie grimace, and cut her off before she could correct herself, “--I’ve seen boys roided, they look nothing like them.” she spoke before taking a sip of her coffee. Josie nodded, an almost fascinated look on her young face, “So it's true then..” At this, Tallulah raises her eyebrows, “ what's true?”
“Your mom sent you here because you got mixed up with some guys who did drugs or whatever. At least that's what Lenna said she heard dad say”
Of course she did, so much for a fresh start, she thought.
Tallulah rolled her eyes, “Sort of, I guess --”
Now she was being interrupted, a large looming figure was now standing at the edge of their table, greeting Josie, she watched as the younger girl blushed in response, before saying “Hey, Ethan. Uh, this is my older sister, Tally or um, Tallulah,” Josie fumbled over her words as she introduced her. Tallulah looked up at the towering boy with a half smile, nodding her head as a way to say ‘hey’ , Ethan nodded back before asking, “I didn’t realize you guys were sisters. Do you go to school off the rez?”
Tallulah shook her head, “I did but I just moved here from Seattle. I start at the rez school tomorrow.”
He nods before engaging with Josie in conversation about some project they were working on and she can’t help but look over at the boisterous table in the far corner, she can see Paul and another boy glance at her as they talk, she excuses herself from Josie and Ethan, the coffee in her mug no longer appetizing and itching for her little blue rectangle in that moment.
Tallulah makes her way up to the bar-like counter, the waitress coming to take her order almost immediately. She orders a sweet tea, hoping to wash some of the lingering bitterness from her mouth, hoping it would help curve her cravings. She can feel someone come up next to her but doesn't bother to look who it is as she fiddles with a napkin, the waitress comes to take their order and their voice sounds like velvet in her ears despite the hint of gruffness to it.
“You're Joseph Forester's daughter, right?” She hears him ask, she looks in his direction to see he's already looking at her, a small cocky, smirk toying on his lips. He already knows the answer clearly. She wants to roll her eyes and tell him to fuck off, but she can’t bring herself to do so. So, she nods and softly says, “Yeah, Tallulah.” This causes him to actually smile, like he's thankful she didn’t just blow him off. That hot, cocky persona is nearly untraceable now,
“I’m Paul Lahote.”

ranking my favorite characters about random shit part 2
ranking my favorite characters (clarke griffin, dean winchester, fox mulder, rose tyler, newt, kaz brekker, samwise gamgee, charles xavier, bill denbrough, lord asriel, steve rogers, scott mccall, anna milton and barry berkman) about random shit. this is entirely self-indulgent
PART 2 : how many allies do they have/how powerful are their allies. basically how screwed they’d be if they had to rely on their allies to survive
1- DEAN WINCHESTER
yeah believe it or not im putting him before charles or steve. listen, listen; dean just. does this thing. in which he’ll get pretty much anyone on his side after like two conversations. ESPECIALLY incredibly powerful supernatural creatures. i mean he’s got sam, aka the second best hunter on earth, and jack, literally GOD, on his side; then obviously the dean winchester simp squad, castiel, a seraph and commander of garrisons who can get heaven to fight for him; benny, a vampire; crowley, a powerful crossroad demon and the king of hell; amara, literally THE DARKNESS HERSELF, god’s SISTER; and then there’s just SO many others who will fight for him for diverse reasons, rowena, eileen, claire, jody, donna, kaia, mary, anna, gabriel, DEATH HIMSELF was his bitch before billie, then ketch charlie kevin, he’s just got so many allies and so many are some of the most powerful creatures in the universe. i mean, jack, amara and gabriel alone are three of the most powerful beings who have ever existed, as well as billie and the other archangels but all of them are dead, and chuck but he’s also dead and even he would be on dean’s side since dean is his favorite and if it’s an actual life-threatening situation chuck would want the show to keep going. so yeah dean winchester’s got the biggest defense squad imaginable and honestly? good for him, he deserves it
2- CHARLES XAVIER
do i even have to say it? outside of his ability to. you know. literally control minds, he’s also a leader who inspires loyalty and trust, and he’s got all the x-men fighting for him, including jean and logan - and even if we’re being honest some of the brotherhood, i mean especially in the first class timeline, erik and raven would absolutely be on his side. he’s got some of the most powerful mutants of all time ready to fight for his life
3- STEVE ROGERS
I mean he’s the leader of the avengers, man. have you seen the avengers assemble scene? they were fighting against thanos there but don’t try to tell me all of them wouldn’t fight for him. he’s got the falcon, black widow and the winter soldier on his side as well as the SCARLET WITCH, CAPTAIN MARVEL, THOR, do i need to keep going. he’s got a huge reputation and everyone knows and trusts him. and as we can also see in all his movies he inspires loyalty and devotion easily so even with people he doesn’t know he can get himself a loyal army in one well-delivered speech à la captain america
4- KAZ BREKKER
while most of the people on this list (steve, scott, charles, dean, bill, newt, anna) are born leaders who inspire trust and loyalty, kaz is just. really good at blackmail and insanely smart and cruel. and he’s got an insanely scary reputation too. he’s got the crows on his side no matter what, so an amazing spy, the best sharpshooter in ketterdam, a grisha who survived parem, an ex-drüskelle, and a demolition expert; as well as now the entirety of the dregs and inej’s crew, probably. plus, he most likely has leverage on the entirety of ketterdam and more. if he got in real trouble he could probably dig out the years and years of blackmail he got stacked away and get himself allyships with anyone he wants. plus his allies are ruthless, diverse and all strategically selected
5- SCOTT MCCALL
he’s got his entire pack ready to jump to help him anytime. and really when you think about it his pack is so big and diverse, there’s all kinds of creatures/skills ready to help him, plus he’s a true alpha, any werewolf would jump to his aid. I mean let’s look at his pack, stiles, allison, lydia, derek, malia, isaac, kira, hayden, mason, corey, and then of course stilinski, deaton, melissa, chris and peter, i mean even theo... he’s got a huge pack who is extremely loyal to him and they’re all kinds of creatures too, he’s fine
6- ROSE TYLER
everyone loves rose SO much. like obviously the doctor will give his life for her without hesitation but we also got jack, mickey, jackie, and even a bunch of people she met for like a couple episodes like donna or sarah jane immediately loved her. so i think she’s ultimately got some pretty solid allies especially with her father’s wealth and torchwood’s support in the alternate reality
7- CLARKE GRIFFIN
im putting her pretty down because on one hand he’s got very powerful/devoted allies on her side, like bellamy, lexa, roan, nyilah, finn, wells, etc (the key of getting your allies to be entirely devoted and loyal to you is to make at least half of them fall in love with you OR to top them so good they’ll literally put their lives down for you because of how good it was and clarke got that down to an art) BUT they’re also like. all dead. like almost all the people i just listed are dead so. yeah she’s kinda on her own in the end but if we look at early seasons clarke before literally all of them got murdered she had skaikru, azgeda and trikru pretty much in her pocket, so three of the biggest/most technically advanced armies on EARTH ready to fight for her.
8- LORD ASRIEL
now he doesn’t have actual allies per say but he can manage to get pretty much anyone on his side through charisma, threats and promises, so he ends up steadily getting massive support from witches, angels and many others in the books. he can pretty easily get himself a bunch of followers at his side ready to die for his cause.
9-SAMWISE GAMGEE
now listen he does have a pretty solid bunch of allies, aka the entire fellowship, who they, themselves, have a bunch of allies, who have a bunch of allies. i mean homeboi’s got ARAGORN and LEGOLAS and GANDALF on his side all ready to jump to save the tiny hobbits anytime so he’ll be fine.
10- BILL DENBROUGH
he’s immediately got the losers on his side, which is a win because they’re stubborn and annoying enough that they defeated an alien demonic clown. plus they’re quite literally assembled by a divinity to destroy a demon, so they’re the perfect team to kick ass and they’ll risk their lives for each other. plus he’s got a fanbase! people read his books and watch his movies. meaning he’s probably got a pretty big part of stan twt ready to help?? idk man i just think he’ll be fine when it comes to allies
11- NEWT
he’s got the entire glade ready to jump to his aid pretty much at any time, i mean let’s be honest if there’s one person all the gladers would agree on defending it would be.. ok it would be chuck bc he’s a CHILD but otherwise it’d be newt. plus he’s alby’s second in command and even gally likes him and respects him more than he likes and respects most people, which isnt much but hey kudos for the effort. anywho yeah the entire glade would defend him i think
12- ANNA MILTON
she would’ve once had the entirety of heaven at her commands ready to smite anyone who comes close to her but now that she fell and rebelled they all want her dead so. i mean i wish i could say cas would help her but after he betrayed her im not so sure? and the winchesters well idk either, maybe, maybe not, depends whether or not the entire trying-to-kill-sam ordeal happened. gabriel might help her? idk where to put her because i don’t KNOW if cas, dean, gabriel or the angels would help her but if any of them did then even one of these is a pretty solid backup so. idk man
13- FOX MULDER
im only on season 4 but as far as i can see he’s got only scully. which is pretty solid backup, she can kick ass, but still. i guess it’s one of the downsides of everyone thinking you’re batshit insane and having the entire government out to get you because they all LOATHE YOUR GUTS SO MUCH
14- BARRY BERKMAN
I mean dude. he pretty much kills all his friends. like he could ask for chris’s help but umm well he killed him, if he’s in a bad situation oh great he’s got a friend at the police except NO he murdered her. what’s that? fuches? no barry’s literally trying to murder him as of now. sally wouldn’t help him at all. cousineau just found out barry murdered his gf. at MOST he can hope that noho hank will help but i mean he’s not much help tbh i love the guy but he’s kinda useless<3

“So when are we meeting this ‘work friend’ of yours?” Sam leaned on the table and he and Clint both wiggled their eyebrows at Wanda.
“Oh for fuc-”
“Shh, I wanna know if she’s real or not!”
Wanda rolled her eyes “when she’s finished her set,” both the men were practically jumping in their seats, they were playing a game of who is Wanda going to set up tonight, Clint or Bucky and Bucky was praying it wasn’t him.
“Come on,” Steve caught Bucky’s attention and they both stood to get another round from the bar as the lights dimmed and the music started.
He stared into the half-empty glass of beer on the counter and ran his fingers over the condensation as Steve waffled on about this and that. Someone started singing but Bucky wasn’t really listening to that either.
“Everyday I find multiple spelling mistakes or grammatical errors.”
“Closer than I thought we’d end up anyway Never cared you left in fear too hard to stay Control all my wavelengths till I find a better guy I don’t know how you do it to me time after time”
“I’m just saying if they fired all the editors you think they’d hire freaking new ones to replace them.” Bucky hummed and nodded, there was something itching at the back of his brain, something deep and sad and familiar.
“I can read you clearly like a magazine Pictures of your past are visible to me Clearly, like a magazine Pictures of your past are visible to me”
His breath hitched in his throat, there was that familiar feeling. His chest got tight but in his head, there was the warmth of the sun, waves crashing, limbs tangled and fingers drawing pictures on his bareback telling him how he’s so easy to read, asking him why he hides from the world.
“Tough guy He's Mr. Tough Guy He makes the girls cry Mr. Tough Guy”
Bucky’s head snapped to the stage, his posture straightened and his jaw locked when he saw you standing on the stage behind the mic. You weren’t looking at him, your eyes were downcast but he still recognised you, recognised your voice.
“Text my phone I don't reply ignore your calls If I was interested I'd make that clear, not anymore You really think that I'm the one to fall for all those lies Stupid just to think you were a waste of time”
“Steve I can’t - fucking hell I can’t fucking deal with this,” Bucky couldn’t breath, he stormed deeper into the bar for their table and yanked his coat off the chair before Steve caught his arm.
“What are you talking about? Where are you going?” By now most of their friends at the table were watching the two have a staring contest or a glaring contest.
“She look familiar?” Bucky spoke under his breath and nodded towards the stage but he couldn’t quite convince himself to look at you himself.
“I can read you clearly like a magazine Pictures of your past are visible to me Clearly, like a magazine Pictures of your past are visible to me”
“Oh shit” Sam stood up and took a closer look and sure enough it was. While his friends were distracted Bucky was able to duck away and he moved through the groups of people towards the door until you said it again.
“Tough guy He's Mr. Tough Guy He makes the girls cry Mr. Tough Guy”
Your eyes locked and Bucky thought maybe you looked panicked, distraught even? But surely not because of him. At that moment, as Bucky stood frozen amongst the crowd of people and you sang those words directly to him all he wanted to do was yell at you. And cry. He couldn’t yell at you now, not with everyone around and you on stage so crying it was. However, he wasn’t about to let you see him crack so when you finished the chorus and closed your eyes Bucky ran out the door and didn’t look back.
You saw him, Bucky, at the back of the room surrounded by a group of people and Wanda who waved excitedly at you. Then you saw white and thought, surely, that this was a sign and it was time to perform the song you’d kept in your back pocket for two years. So you told Peter and you refused to answer anything else regarding the matter.
When you stood on stage and sang the two covers you tried not to look for him. But as if by some superior power as soon as the last song, the song you wrote about Bucky, started, you found him in the crowd. At the bar.
As soon as the song finished you were off the stage and running out the door after him. You had to find him. It wasn’t hard, Bucky was leaning with his head against the brick wall of the building, his eyes closed and his chest moving rapidly.
“Hey Mr. Tough Guy,” you squeaked out, fingers fiddling with one another and hesitantly taking a small step towards him.
“What the hell are you doing here?” He didn’t move, he didn’t raise his voice or give any emotion either. You took another step, only a couple feet away now.
“I got a job,” you shrugged.
Bucky laughed, a dry, cold laugh that made you shiver. “You got a - you’ve got to be kidding me.” He shook his head, stepping away from the wall and running his hands over his face. “You just decide to get a job and settle in my neighbourhood?”
He still didn’t raise your voice and you tried to mask every single emotion that you felt. “Well you talked it up so much,” there was a twitch in your lips and Bucky couldn’t hold it in much longer. “Buck-”
“Don’t you dare call me that. You have no right to call me that.” Bucky’s voice was dripping with anger, all those pent up feelings were coming out and he was practically spitting them at you.
“Fine. James. I’m here okay, I’m not leaving either. I have a job, I have friends, I have a home.”
“You’re all settled. Right here in Brooklyn, where else huh?” Bucky stood looking across the street, he saw you get closer to him in the corner of his eye and he wanted to step away but instead, he turned to face you.
“Bucky just let me-”
“No! No, you don’t get to explain. There’s nothing to explain anymore!” That was it, that was the line and he couldn’t hold back his emotions anymore. “I told you not to call me that.”
“Why not, it’s your name isn’t it?” You were angry at him too, it wasn’t just one-sided, he had a part to play as well, he didn’t have to ask that much of you.
“Because if you - if you say that then I’m -” you were chest to chest now, both seething with anger and feelings that had been pushed deep down trying to rise again.
“What Bucky?” You whispered and watched his eyes drop to your mouth before quickly going back to your eyes, his hands were held in fists at his side
“I tried hating you, did you know that? I wanted so badly to hate you.”
“And why don’t you?”
Bucky’s hands held your face, his fingers pushed into your hair as he pressed his lips against yours. It was quick and rash and he gave no time for a reaction before he pulled away.
“Because you keep saying my name. Now it just hurts because you’re going to walk away again.” He licked his lips and clicked his tongue, “or maybe I will.” Then he did, he turned, and he walked away.

My Future
Derek Hale x OC
Samantha, Stiles and Scott are always joking about the impossible. Who wouldn't when your best friend's dad is the sheriff of Beacon Hills? All jokes stop when they realize the impossible is indeed possible.
Tumblr media
Chapter 44: Hellhound
After Sam had gotten better, she was discharged and immediately went to see the sheriff who seemed to be awake a little better.
The older Stilinski smiled at the girl as she peeked in the room. "Hey, Sam.", he greeted. She smiled, happy to see him okay. "Hi.", she responded and came to sit next to him.
"I heard you got discharged. What happened?", the sheriff asked. Sam rubbed behind her neck. "Kinda got poisoned… and I was kinda sick for a while."
Noah's eyebrows furrowed. "How'd that happen?"
Sam frowned. "Theo."
His face changed to a disappointed expression. He knew he was affected by Theo's actions too, but he only hoped his kids didn't get hurt.
Sam noticed his silence and smiled. "I'm just glad you're okay. When I found out what happened, I didn't know what to do. I wanted to help heal you, but my body wouldn't even let me move unless I needed to puke."
Noah's expression softened. "You don't have to worry about me, kiddo."
Sam's smile grew a bit more.
Hours had passed and the boys had come back with Kira, along with the sheriff being discharged.
The teens met up with Stiles' dad. They had gotten news that someone had found a new group of dead bodies under the substation that the boys were at the other day.
They watched as nurses walked by with bodies in black bags on gurneys and brought them into the morgue.
"Who found them?", Stiles asked his dad. Despite the improvement on the sheriff's health, he still looked exhausted.
"Argent.", he replied. "And he said the Doctors were down there."
Sam frowned. "He also said you guys might know what this thing is." He trailed off. "They said that victims were killed somewhere else and then dumped in those tunnels."
"Hey," Scott said, "what if the Dread Doctors are hiding the bodies."
"Why would they do that?", Kira asked. The teens had updated her on everything that had previously happened after she left.
"Maybe they're covering for it.", Stiles suggested. He looked at Scott. "Protecting it as a parent would."
"Protecting what?", Sheriff asked.
"A werewolf," Scott replied.
"The Beast of Gevaudan.", Sam said. "Also known as the Beast," Kira added. The sheriff just looked at the kids, so confused.
"We know. Horrifying.", Stiles said.
"We better figure out what we're gonna call Parrish.", his dad said. "Because it looks like his dream is coming true."
The sheriff had the kids go to school after missing out on so much.
Suddenly, the PA system came on, "By order of the Sheriff, a county-wide curfew goes into effect tonight at sundown.", they heard, shocking the students. "All after-school activities are canceled until further notice. Students should go directly home at the end of the school day."
Their eyes widened as two cops with rifle guns walked past them in the hall and other students looked at them worryingly.
Sam and Scott saw Stiles talking to a cop and they quickly joined them. "You don't think this is a bit much in terms of firepower for a high school?", Stiles asked the deputy.
"Your Dad's the one that issued us these things," he said. "and he wouldn't officially say why."
Stiles looked at his friends with an annoyed expression. He couldn't blame the sheriff, though. He almost lost his job because he couldn't solve the murders caused by the supernatural issues.
"Did he say anything unofficially?", Scott asked.
"No.", the deputy replied. "But everyone's got a theory."
"What's yours?", Stiles asked. "I shouldn't even be talking to you guys.", the deputy dismissed, ignoring Stiles' question. "Don't you have class?"
"Come on, Strauss," Stiles said. "What's your theory?" Strauss glanced over at the other two deputies standing at a distance before he leaned towards the teens and whispered.
"Do you guys believe in the supernatural?" The teens looked confused, feigning innocent curiosity.
Turns out that some of the cops suspected the incidents to be of supernatural occurrences.
The teen quickly dismissed the deputy, laughing it off before leaving the school. Sam followed Scott who found Liam. The supernatural boys looked at each other in surprise as they looked over towards a door.
"Is that it?", Sam asked them. Scott nods as they had found a door to a room that led to the Dread Doctors.
Scott took a breath as he slowly placed his hand on the handle. He slid the door open and they froze once they were faced with a gun pointed at them.
They let out a breath once they saw Chris. "Holy shit…", Sam muttered, a smile growing on her face in relief.
Chris seemed relieved as well and placed back his gun into his belt. Scott suddenly frowned as he sniffed.
Chris caught on. "You didn't," Scott whispered.
"I had to," Chris replied. The teens peeked around Chris' shoulder and saw a familiar face.
Sam glared at Chris. "Really?" Who stood behind them was Chris' father, Gerard. He lost a lot of weight. He looked malnourished, and very pale.
"Hello, Scott. Samantha.", the older man greeted.
Sam growled and Scott's eyes turned red. "That's a new color on you, Scott.", Gerard said and looked at Sam. "Seems the bite kicked in as well."
"You want another one?", Sam threatened.
"Who's the old guy?", Liam asked. "Gerard.", Sam replied.
"At the moment," Gerard chuckled. "they would call me a necessary evil. But yes, my name is Gerard."
"What were you thinking?", Scott asked Chris.
Chris frowned. "That we need him."
"He's right.", Gerard agreed. "If you want to catch a werewolf-like the Beast of Gevaudan, you're going to need more than one Argent."
Scott looked at Sam and she sighed. This again. She hated using the Argents for their issues.
Chris stepped forward, "He knows all the stories. All the folklore. Everything is written and everything passed down."
Scott stepped forward as well. "You sure about this?"
Chris sighed, "Take a look." He motioned the teens to follow him. They walked into another room and saw a painting on the wall at the far end of the room.
They walked up to it. There was a drawing of two beasts attacking each other. One of them had flames coming out of its mouth and bright orange eyes.
That beast would be considered Parrish, but Scott wasn't sure. The other Beast looks like a giant werewolf, a bit bigger than the flame engulfed beast. Both had one of their arms up, ready to attack each other. The bigger beast had a hold on the smaller one and had his hand wrapped around its arm.
"The one on the right is the Beast of Gevaudan," Chris explained. He looked over at Scott and Sam. "Do you know what the other one is?"
They both shook their heads.
"The Hellhound," Gerard said. "The guardian of supernatural places. They're both creatures of the night. But you may know them as ordinary people during the day."
"And most likely neither of them knows what they are.", Chris added.
"Kinda like Jackson…", Sam muttered, making Scott look at her in realization.
"What is it?", Chris asked the boy.
"Stiles and I found a message in Latin…", Scott explained. "Damnatio Memoriae."
Chris's eyes widened as he looked back at his dad. "They want it to remember itself.", Gerard informed.
"That might give us time.", Chris said. "Time for what?", Liam asked, worried.
"To prevent this.", Chris replied as he stepped up to the painting. He placed his hands on the wall and lowered his head. Then he started kicking the walls and destroying the tiles as they hit the floor.
Sam frowned as she looked at the mural. Her eyes widened as she nudged Scott and pointed at it after Chris had finished.
The two beasts weren't just fighting. They were fighting on top of a pile of dead bodies in a field. Chris stepped back as they all just stared at the drawing in shock.
"Who are they?", Liam asked. "Us.", Sam replied. "It's all of us."
Liam looked at Sam and Scott in panic. Immediately, Scott started to talk with Chris to figure out how they would stop the Beast.
However, Sam tuned them out as her ears were filled with sounds of distant screams and growling. Her heart raced as she stepped towards the painting and held her hand out to touch it.
The moment she touched the painting, she was now in the lacrosse field. There were people running around and screaming, tumbling over dead bodies and scattering.
She turned and saw the Beast standing in the middle of the field and growling loudly.
She frowned as a bright orange light caught her attention. Once she turned around, her eyes widened to see Parrish engulfed in flames.
Parrish walked up to the girl, a blank look plastered on his face. "Death is coming.", he muttered and she took in a gasp, her vision coming back to the Dread Doctors operating room.
She let out a sigh, as Scott placed a hand on her shoulder. "What did you see?", Scott asked.
"The lacrosse field…dead bodies…and the beast. I'm starting to think this is gonna come true.", she said, looking at the painting and pulled out her phone to take a picture.
Gerard and Chris exchanged a look of understanding.
The next day, Sam rushed to the Sheriff's station. She had to get answers. Parrish was the hellhound? How? Why?
Once she got in, she made her way to Parrish's desk while he was looking over some papers.
"Can we talk for a sec?", she asked the deputy. Parrish looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be in school?"
"Jordan, this is serious.", she said, frowning. His eyes widened and he stood up, motioning her to follow him, and she did just that. "What's wrong?", he asked.
"Well… you wouldn't happen to have any type of apocalyptic dreams, would you? No dead bodies at the school? No beast on the lacrosse field?", she asked.
He looked at the girl with wide, confused eyes and shook his head. "No, why?"
She sighed. What did that vision mean then? Was it wrong? Was he not the hellhound?
She took out her phone and showed him the picture of the painting. "Look, this is you and the Beast fighting each other."
He looked at the picture with furrowed eyebrows. "When I touched it, I saw the Beast standing on the Lacrosse field. There were screams and people running away and then you showed up in flames. Saying something about death is coming."
His eyes widened, "Does anybody else know about this?"
Sam shook her head, "I figured I'd just go straight to the source."
He frowned and looked at the picture then back at her. "Why would I say "death is coming" ?"
Sam shrugged, "I've got no clue either."
It wasn't good. Parrish had no idea and they were back to being frustrated with not knowing the beast's next move.
Malia came back with Deaton and Braeden after battling her mother.
Apparently Deaton had been captured and held hostage this entire time. It was relieving news that he was back and safe.
"Unit Five heading northwest on Crescent reporting an incredibly large…something.", the trip heard Hayden's sister say.
"I've got eyes on the same thing.", another deputy said. "Unit Six to Dispatch. We have a situation downtown."
The teens felt their nervousness wave in the jeep.
"Multiple fatalities."
"Copy, medics on the way.", another deputy answered.
Deaths already. This wasn't supposed to happen…
"Do you have a perp insight, Unit Six?"
"10-4," Dispatch replied, "can you say what kind of animal?"
"Some kind of rabid animal."
Hayden's sister's voice came through, "Unit Five to Nine, trust me, that's no animal."
 "Looks like a 10 91E.", they hear.
Sam gave Stiles a raised eyebrow. Stiles shook his head. "Animal attack." She nodded in understanding.
Stiles grabbed the radio and pressed the button, "All units stay back. Do not engage. I repeat, do not engage."
The teens jumped, hearing Stiles' dad on the line. "Stiles, get off the radio." His dad replied angrily. "All units alert. Wait for backup. Repeat, no one goes near this thing."
"Unit Nine, I've got it turning off Oakridge southbound on Beachwood.", they heard Hayden's sister say.
"All units, this is dispatch.  We've got a 911 call with additional sightings on Mitchell. This thing is either moving fast, or split in two."
Sam frowned. How fast was this thing moving? "Wait a second." Stiles spoke up. "Beachwood to Mitchell?"
"It's headed for the hospital…", Sam said in realization.
Stiles quickly took the radio and spoke into it, "Dad."
"Stiles, get off of this channel.", the sheriff fussed.
"Dad, just listen to me, okay? It's headed for the hospital, all right? He's headed for Beacon Memorial." Scott's eyes widened. Melissa was working tonight.
Stiles pressed in panic. "You hear me? It's headed for the hospital.", he repeated, speeding up.
Scott hurriedly called his mother and she quickly answered.
"Hey, what's wrong sweetie?", Melissa asked. "You gotta evacuate the hospital, now!", Scott replied. "Okay, they're making an–"
She stayed silent. Then all of a sudden, sirens went off. "I think Dispatch just called in."
She hung up. The trio all looked at each other in despair.
"Need eyes on Parrish.", they heard the sheriff once more. "Does anyone have Parrish's 20?"
The dispatcher's voice spoke, "All units, we have a 911 emergency call reporting a man on fire running."
Parrish.
"Clark, disregard.", Sheriff Stilinski said and the teens sighed in relief.
The trio quickly ran into the hospital after arriving and looked around. They jumped at the sound of a cocked gun and turned around to see Stiles' dad.
Sam frowned as she looked at the gun he held. "That's not gonna do it.", she muttered and froze as she felt a heavy presence moving around in the hospital.
The beast was already here.
Shit.
They stayed silent as they heard a thud and a growl.  They looked above them, hearing the growls get louder.
Sam tried to detect which floor the beast was on and who else was there. There were other people up there. Patient, doctor or otherwise.
"Fourth floor.", she muttered and led them up to the fourth floor.
Once they arrived, they saw flames in lighting up in certain areas of the hallways. That was definitely Parrish's work.
The hallway lights flashed and dimmed, causing a difficulty with seeing things clearly.
The sheriff stepped in front of the teens, holding up his gun and looking around as he led them down the hallways.
Just as they were about to turn a corner, a huge fireball flew past them. They looked to see where the source of the thrown ball had come from and saw Parrish being thrown back into a wall, his flames quickly dying out.
Parrish looked back at them, his eyes sparkling a bright orange. He was wounded. He had three large, deep claw marks on his chest.
His eyes slowly dimmed out as he began to fall into unconsciousness.
The sheriff walked over towards Parrish with Sam following behind him. Parrish's eyes were open, just blank. "Parrish? Are you okay? Deputy!", the sheriff exclaimed, calling the young deputy. Parrish awakened and looked at Sheriff Stilinski.
Parrish looked at both the sheriff and Sam in confusion as his body quickly healed. Her eyes widened. She didn't know he could do that…
Now he just looked dirty.
Sam looked back at Scott and Stiles, getting up and following them. Scott's attention was focused on the floor and Sam followed his gaze. A large bloody paw print was plastered on the floor. It had to have come from the beast.
However, the large bloody paw prints turned into smaller bloody footprints. Scott and Sam raised an eyebrow at each other.
Who was the beast?

I thought you never would… - Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Chapter four
Word count: 1,543 words
Warning: language, mention of sex
Kira knocked on the door later that night. Dean opened the door and let her inside his apartment, giving her a tight smile. "Hey." She said with a small smile. "So what did you wanna talk about?" Dean asked awkwardly. "About us...I miss you." She told him softly as she stepped closer to him. He sighed, but he missed her too, like a lot. "I miss you too." He told her honestly.
He walked into the living room with her sitting down on the couch, she sat down as well. They started talking about their relationship ans Dean told her that he really loved her, but they wouldn't have a future together. He told her they could stay friends, but nothing more. She sighed, nodding as she chew on her lip.
"Can I stay the night? It's late and I don't want to go home so late on my own." Dean nodded, since he didn't want her to get hurt on her way home. "Thanks." She whispered. "Wanna watch a movie?" He suggested since it was getting super awkward and weird. "Sure." She said with a nod. He grabbed his remote turning Netflix on.
He turned on some random movie, unconsciously inching closer to her. She noticed smiling a bit, inching closer as well. He couldn't help it, so he cuddled her close to him. She looked up at him and leaned in kissing him. They eventually ended up sleeping with each other more than once that night.
He and her started a friends with benefits kind of thing with her after that night. His dick taking more control of him than he wanted. Ryan was pissed when Dean told him, but Dean told Ryan it was just sex, no things attached. Dean was annoyed when Ryan gave him the talk about what he's doing, is stupid and just taking him back.
You and Dean were getting close and you didn't know why, but you felt hurt, when Dean talked about that he has a friends with benefits thing going on with his ex-girlfriend. You were crushing over some guy, you've never seen in real life and yet, you were kind of hurting and pissed at Dean. He kept flirting with you like shit, even making you special, telling you how important you were to him.
He even became distant towards you because of her. Because you told him, he'd never move on from her if he was sticking to her. You didn't know her, but the things Ryan told you she seemed so...psychotic and manipulative to you. She was just crazy, but in the bad way. You, Ryan and Sam played most of the time alone, since Dean was occupied and messing around with ex.
You posted a picture on your Instagram story of yourself where you thought, you were looking damn fine. An hour later or so you checked on who've seen your story and there she was. Kira's account. She was stalking your Instagram account like crazy, looking who you were following, what pictures you had on your highlights and profile. She was kind of jealous of you, even tho you lived miles away.
You were posting more to your story on purpose to see if she'd look at your stories and she certainly did. Every time. You didn't understand why, because you two never talked or texted. You didn't know she felt threatened by you. It also annoyed you in some kind of way, that she stalked your Instagram profile the whole time. Yeah you had a massive crush on Dean, but like already mentioned you loved miles away and she's the one lying in his bed. So what was her point?
Dean and you didn't talk a lot during this time and when you did, it was weird. The whole comfort suddenly gone. You were kinda sad about it and you mostly talked about it with Sam. Sam told you, that she always knew how to wrap him around her finger. The problem was Dean was too blind to understand, that she was poison for him. All she did was manipulating and using him for her own good.
Dean just didn't want to see that and it hurt Sam to see his little brother going down that path, again.
He thought his brother came to his senses when they talked right after Dean's and Kira's breakup. Dean seemed reasonable and not stupid like he did after starting sleeping with Kira. The whole situation frustrated Sam. The worst thing was that Sam couldn't talk to Dean, because Dean brushed him off, telling Sam he was old enough to know what he was doing.
Sam thought Dean wasn't mature enough. Dean was just nineteen and just not able to be alone. He always needed company otherwise he would've felt too lonely. Sam had a fight with his little brother trying to tell him like you and Ryan did, that he needs to stop thinking with his cock and more with his brain. Dean was distant and told Sam, it was none of Sam's business and Sam should start minding his own business again like he did before the breakup.
Sam always tried to reach out to his little brother, because he loved his little brother more than anything. Whenever Sam tried to reach out to Dean, Dean was busy with Kira telling Sam he was busy. Sam visited his dad in their hometown and when he was there he's seen Dean briefly or not at all, because Kira was more important.
Sam tried so many times to get Dean out of his bubble, he was in for too long. Kira made their relationship much more complicated, she did for everyone in their family. She was only causing problems for Dean, but Dean didn't want to see that. Unfortunately.
One day you texted Dean on iMessage if you two had an issue and he told you no, but then you asked him why he was being so weird, since he barely answered calls or texts.
Dean and you FaceTimed sometimes until late at night. It was special to you, because you were talking to your crush, at night. One day you called him after work like you always did. When he picked up, your heard a girl's voice. It was her voice and you immediately were pissed and hurt, telling him to fuck off. Not your smartest move, you felt bad about how you hung up on him. You also kind of didn't, because you heard her saying something to or about you, you couldn't quite remember what exactly it was, what she said.
Since that incident, Dean was being weird and distant towards you, even making up excuses so he wouldn't have to stay in a voice chat alone with you as soon the others went offline. Before that Dean always stayed longer, wanting to get to know you, but suddenly all of this was gone. You didn't understand and you also felt hurt at the way he was being.
One night Ryan and you were playing and talking about the whole thing with Dean and Kira. Ryan decided to call Dean and ask him what's up with you and Dean, wanting to hear it from him. Dean told him, that he was annoyed with you telling him to stop messing around with his ex, when it was his life and decision to make. It hurt, but he was right. It was his life and decision he had to make.
You just didn't get why Dean couldn't tell you exactly that. When you pushed him via text to be honest, he finally was. He told you to back the fuck off and leave him alone with this topic. It hurt you so bad at how was being. He was being a complete asshole towards you. You even teared up at how much it hurt you, making you cry because you were so overwhelmed.
After you two had the biggest fight you didn't answer his last text, trying to calm down so you wouldn't say anything you'd regret later on.
You talked to Sam about it and Sam told you to leaver him alone knowing Dean would end up saying things he might regret later on, too. Sam told you to leave him alone and text Dean later everything you had on your mind, when you and him had calmed down.
Dean calmed down smoking his cigarette, still pissed at you, but he also felt bad about treating you the way he just did. You were just trying to help him, but he didn't need and want your help. He wanted to mess around with Kira, he didn't care.
An hour later you texted him: "Dean, I'm sorry. I really am. They way you treated me hurt and wasn't fair at all. All I wanted to do was help you, but I get it now you don't want my help and I'll respect that. I keep my distance, if that’s what you want. I understand. I wish you the best. Take care." You texted him while tears ran down your face, sniffling you wiped your tears away. You didn't know him for that long but thinking the friendship was over hurt you so bad.

Writing villains in Stranger Things
An analysis of the villains and antagonists in Stranger Things and their role and impact in the story.
Get ready for a long post on moral relativism and character creation XD. Mostly because villains and antagonists are what they are mostly because of the heroes’ POV.
My other metas here
La maldición de las cuatro brujas here
Una novela romántica de esas con un macizorro sin camiseta en la portada here
Buy me a ko-fi!
The Hawkins Lab
This is the most easy. The story starts with them. They are responsible of the experiments on children and monsters in our world. And they covered it.
Tumblr media
This is villainy 1.0, the most generic bad guys ever. They dress about the same (lab coats if they are scientists, suits and guns if they are people of the government), looks about the same and they are basically inexistent. We are supposed to think they are the bad guys because we are disposed from real life to think of them as the bad guys. Think about it. They are the doctors who tell you you have cancer, they are the bureaucrats who make you pay bills and refuse to give you a college scholarship because you failed that exam. They are the Systemtm, and you somehow are not part of it.
From the heroes POV, they are clearly the bad guys because they look for Eleven, but in the great scope of things, they are not so bad guys. They are outside of the story for pretty much part of it, and only through Eleven’s POV. Obviously, using children for experiments is not okay, but we must remind this people were trying to not to be obliterated by the nuclear bombs of another country, so… Excuse me if I think basic survival is not bad itself. They can be called out for being stupid enough to open a portal to another dimension, but not for being bad. In fact, if Eleven never escape, or if they just chose to don’t follow Eleven, the story wouldn’t label them as villains, at least at the moment the Party meets Eleven. Imagine this from the POV of the Party: “hey, I found a girl in the forest, we helped her… the end”. She was adopted by whatever and grows to become a normal girl. That’s it.
This relativism or balance between the evil and good of the workers of the lab are represented by Connie Frazier, Martin Brenner, Sam Owens and Ray Carroll. But they are need to be singled out from the Systemtm (aka the Lab), to stop being an entity.
Connie Frazier is basically the first villain we see on fully evil on screen. She is Brenner’s right hand and the one who killed Benny. And we know she is evil because she follows Brenner, she shot Nice Character Benny and she has the pimped out version of a Karen hairdo.
Tumblr media
Dr Brenner is a full sociopath with good intentions. His ends are noble (at least from the American’s POV. But well, again, not wanting to die in a war goes for all sides), but not his methods. The funny thing is that he was more of a benevolent dictator than just a dictator, the children would have done his will without needing to be chained. I mean. Tell any kid they are going to have powers (and most of them were born with them because of the experiments inflicted in their parents), that they will be safe and happy (some of them came from rocky backgrounds, like number Six from the comics), provide for them a safe and happy environment, and you have your superpowered child army. Basically, Brenner is a crossover between Kira and Erik Killmonger (I’m surprised I said that. Ugh).
Tumblr media
An asshole. But he almost erased the crime in the planet in less than 5 years. After his demise, the Earth becomes as shitty as before.
Sam Owens is the benevolent dictator. His interest in the wellbeing of Will and Eleven (and by extension, associates) is genuine. He doesn’t want people dying. However, he is still part of the Hawkins Lab. He still executes the aims of “protect America”. If Brenner was the system, Owens is the bureaucrat.
Tumblr media
Ray Carroll can be considered the reformed villain. Yes, he participated in the experiments. But since he moved on, he cannot be considered one of the bad guys. In fact, due to this, the villains in his scene are Eleven and Kali. From his POV (and her daughters), several intruders assaulted his house and wanted to kill him for a mistake he did some years ago, a mistake he regrets. If he hadn’t developed, we could have talking about heroes Eleven and Kali taking down a villain, but he did evolve. Due to this dichotomy, Eleven, who chose not to kill became again a hero, despite her robbing a gas station and assaulting a man. This is where any doubt of Kali as a villain was erased.
Tumblr media
Troy Walsh
He was the straight child/teen bully from stories of children/teens growing up. He hates nerds (aka the Party). Funny, though in those times when nerd is fashion and mainstream, he couldn’t be a bully for this motive. This character exists purely to torment our heroes. In fact, the writers have to show him on purpose bullying the Party, because after all, he only exists on the school context. They don’t share any class together and the bullying could have been avoided if the Party stays in another place other than the playground (like the AV club, for example). We don’t know literally anything about him. And is easily erased from the narrative once Eleven, who at that moment was a “villain” because she argued with the Party, can have her moment of heroicness and save Mike breaking Troy’s arm. Once Eleven is reinstated as the hero again, Troy disappeared forever to never come back. The quarry scene exists purely to put Eleven again on good graces, because how many chances you have to put your heroes and bullies at the same place at the same time, somewhere very outside from Hawkins. What the hell they were doing the bullies there? There is literally nothing there for a child and also is very far away from the city.
Tumblr media
After that, we don’t know what happened to him, except a brief scene at the Police station, in which he is with his mom and claims that a girl with powers hurted him. That is the clue that put Hopper into the Party and Eleven’s path.
In the one shot comic The Bully (analysis here), we finally learn about his whereabouts: basically, he stays for a while during season 2 without intervene (but he saw something of the Upside Down), and he moved from town when his shitty dad (a mix between Lonnie Byers and Neil Hargrove) was fired.
Nancy Wheeler
Surprised, right? Why Nancy is a villain? She kills monsters, loves her family, and is friends with the heroes. Only her love triangle with Steve and Jonathan was messy (and that was developed on season 2. Remember ST was supposed to last only one season). She chose Steve at the end of season 1, without cheating on him and matured.
Why she is a villain? Well, not because of her actions, but because of societal expectations. And there is nothing more hateful than a girly teenage girl. This is a well known phenomenon: teens suck, and nothing is more mocked and despised than teenage girls. We hate how they talk, how they dress, how they behave, what they look like, what they like… We open national television because some girl did X, and people involved in creating entertainment for teenage girls and girls are usually harassed to the point of leave their jobs or social media. She is not the innocent little girl, nor the nurturing mother (hello, misogyny). Did the male protagonist commit genocide? Doesn’t matter, let’s hate his daughter because reasons. And if she wears pink, has female friends and likes pop music? The horror. The captain of the cheerleaders was the evil of all evil. The girly girl is only ok if she’s a sexy manipulator. A lot of people has already talk about this issue of the tomboy vs the girly girl, and all the “not like the other girls” bullshit, so I’m not going to expand this here.
Tumblr media
Nancy was introduced in the first episode and all her context was created to irate the audience: she’s talking by the phone (ugh), she closes the door in Dustin’s face (shock!) and she has a boyfriend and wants to party and hang around the cool kids (OMG). Barb’s death was the hit needed to evolve from the wannabe cheerleader (she is btw, according to Hawkins Yearbook) to the “not like the other girls”. Gun included. Because apparently, the other girls suck and there is nothing to lost a meaningful one (or get raped) to mature and stop being like that. Once she becomes Nancy the shooter, her femininity is downplayed until we reach season 3, to make even more blatant her contrast with her male bosses. And yes, I’m glad the show put her in sensible clothes to fight the monsters instead of running in high heels and a skirt, but even the appropriate clothes could have been more pink. The only character who still is unabashed “girly” by the end of season 3 is Erica (not a teen girl), because Eleven and Max didn’t count (Eleven comes sort as genderless due to her upbringing and Max more bright colours and hairstyles in this season doesn’t hide the fact she is still a tomboy).
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington
Steve was dubbed by the writers and the actor as the bully on season 1 (King Steve), and develops outside that during season 2 (Mom Steve). Excuse me, what? Steve was never a bully. He slut shames Nancy because he thought she cheated on him, and hits Jonathan because he took photos of them. The only other things he did bad to other people was, apparently, break the heart of like 2 other girls off-screen before season 1, and we don’t know how bad that was (and also, teen years. There was a lot of drama in that ages and thinking critically back about it, if you look closely to your own life, the things were not so horrible). That’s it.
He is also labeled as bully because of his toxic friends, Tommy and Carol. I have already talked about them and how they are just simple, regular people here. But in retrospective, there is nothing bully on them, either. They make sarcastic comments about Nancy goody two-shoes nature. Tommy enjoyed Steve’s fall from grace due to Billy’s arrival, but given both of them were dumped by Steve without very strong reasons (they were right that Nancy wasn’t into Steve so much), but again, that’s it. They never targeted Steve or his friends. Steve fell from grace because other stuff happened and because he wasn’t into the crown either, so…
Steve is more akin to Regina George, when Regina herself is analyzed. For those unfamiliar with this iconic movie, this is about Cady, a transfer student, who meets Regina, the high school queen bee. She befriends Janis, ex Regina friend, and both plans to destroy Regina, because she “steals” the guy Cady wants. Janis had issues with Regina with a comment out of context that exploded (lesbian). At first, Regina is the Bad Girl. However, upon a closely rewatch, you realize Regina is not the villain (she is not a hero, either), but the one who benefits from social structures.
How she dear to date a single guy she and Cady didn’t own? Regina sometimes creates rumours to humiliate students out of boredom and fury, but Janis is the real villain. She appears as the hero to Cady’s problem, but we really watch a full movie of a goth-punk girl (because remember, girls are vapid, stupid and pink) purposely isolating another girl, making her the joke of all her high school, messing with her physique and her boyfriend, probably creating an eating disorder and Regina ends run over by a fucking bus (by accident).
Tumblr media
Something similar occurred to Steve. Steve benefits from a system who puts white hetero pretty abled boys with rich parents above else. But he doesn’t do anything to abuse his power. Dustin, who has a crush on Nancy on season 1, complains that this 16/17 year old (and at whole other level of maturity) doesn’t play with them anymore because her stupid boyfriend (that apparently he even didn’t interact with yet) “ruined” her. Robin plainly states in her coming out scene that she hated Steve because he was dumb at class and his hair because… the girl she has a crush on likes him. How he dare to exist!. We have seen this before. People hate celebrities, actors, musicians, because they are rich, famous and hot, and punishes them because they are not “so amazing”. People who at the best case, don’t know the haters at all. To be fully on the heroes’s side, Steve has to lose his crown. For real and forever.
Tumblr media
Lonnie Byers
Lonnie is Jonathan and Will’s father, because the show loves shitty fathers. He didn’t appear much on season 1. He divorced Joyce sometime after Will was born and was enough old to do stuff (baseball) with him. He doesn’t have any redeeming qualities. He was distant and aloof with his children and possibly abusive with Joyce, but since he is not in the town, is not a great villain. In fact, he only appears in Hawkins when Will is lost and we can see for a moment that maybe he wasn’t that asshole (when he told rightfully Joyce needs therapy) but it was all a ruse to win money. He didn’t exist in the narrative in an impactful role so Jopper can be a thing.
Apparently, he will appear again in season 4 in some way or another, since his actor was at the promotional reading table and a huge part of the story will be about the Byers+Eleven dynamic. But he would be an annoyance, at best. He is only white trash and his family has overcome her presence long time ago. He doesn’t have any connection with the Hawkins lab nor the Upside Down, so another Flayed scenery wouldn’t raise any stakes. And probably the Party will enjoy his killing, so not a big deal here.
Tumblr media
Keith
He is just a nasty low paid worker. Not a villain nor a menace at all against the Party. In fact, I’m pretty surprised he managed to survive at this point of the history, he is the kind of characters usually killed before the opening credits because they are not relevant to the plot but they have enough traits to have a recognizable death.
Also, the audience is predisposed against him. He is not the lovable nerd, he is the incel/gate keeper nerd.
Tumblr media
Kali Prasad
Eleven’s lost sister. Since her appearance, all make her look like a villain. She is first shown being chased by the police (back in the times police people thought cops were good thanks to propaganda), she is dressed in all black, all her gang are misfits who match in some way or another the “evil” look.
From an outsider POV, she is a villain until she starts bonding with Eleven. Once Eleven the hero with curls coming to the dark side (because nothing screams “bad” as black clothes), her actions are validate. She becomes more of a grey character thanks to Eleven’s innocence, but at the choice of killing the Carroll and the refusal of Eleven, she came back again into villain territory. If Carroll was another type of character (you know, the type who beats puppies on screen), Kali would have been still a hero. It was not the case, since Kali’s villainy (or lack) is seen from an outsider’s POV.
Tumblr media
The Demogorgon
He was the main antagonist of season 1. He was a villain because he is a monster who attacks people because plot reasons. Anything can be said about him, except he is like the Marvel villains: they are not important because what it is important about them is how the heroes react, not the big bad itself.
Tumblr media
The Demodogs
Same as above, but Dart case is much more interesting: are the demodogs able to learn orders from humans? They are able to become real pets without killing instincts? If used properly by the bad guys, they are more interesting than generic CGI monster, but at this moment, they are just an annoyance. They could be easily killed by now with half of the cast proficient with weapons and with overpowered Eleven.
It is a pity we couldn’t see Dustin training Dart fully. That would have been awesome if only for the lols.
Tumblr media
The Mind Flayer
The Big Bad from season 2 and 3. A generic CGI monstrosity who wants to conquer the world because… well, because Dustin made an analogy with a D&D book and they needed some Big Bad somewhere. His powers are more interesting, though. The Flayed raised stakes because he could have attacked anyone, anywhere at any time.
It would have been funny if his final objective was to make a trip to our world because he wanted to taste our gastronomy. Or came to our world, look how humans are, say “nop. Not interested” and return to his world.
More interesting is the theory that the Mind Flayer is Will’s subconscious. It is not confirmed, but if true… Well, we would need another whole post only for that and psychology fans would be having orgasms.
Tumblr media
Neil Hargrove
He only appears in one scene from season 2 and boiiii, he did an impact. He exists only because Dacre Montgomery asked to have some background to Billy and unknowingly, the writers created a horrible villain. Both the writers and actor explicitly said his intention was not to woobify or excuse Billy, but to explain from where all of him came from.
Neil abused Billy’s mother to the point she runaways. He shaped Billy in the monster he is today. Some part of the fandom was angry that he wasn’t one of the Flayed, given what is relevance to characters he has, that making Billy kills his father would be some interesting show drama. However, I disagree. The point of the Mind Flayer is his human victims. The killing would be only impactful if Billy was already on the heroes’ side (but truly, not some half baked excuse). But redemption off-screen between seasons 2 and 3 is cheap and Billy has done too much shit for half of the cast so an apologies would only works if we spend most of season 3 doing that. But the story is not about Billy. So if the Mind Flayer chooses Neil as his right hand, we would be just cheering if Neil is destroyed. If we go with the Neil vs not good Billy, we would be cheering for both getting killed.
And the worst part of it, you cannot erase him from the plot. He was not in a position to be killed by monsters (and there is no monsters left in Hawkins at the end of season 3). He is a regular human no related with the Upside-Down plot, so you just can’t kill him and expect nothing after would happen (too much bureaucracy and covering for some random superside character).
He is part of the Mayfield family and pretty much the main provider. The Hargrove/Mayfield family has been implied to have some economical problems, so killing Neil is pretty much a travel to bankruptcy.
Given the story until this moment now, Susan (Max’s mother) won’t divorce him; she is subjugated and truly loves him. The only way the context make Susan to divorce Neil (and just maybe, because we all know how abuse relationships works in real life) force Neil to attack Susan and/or Max so brutally Susan cannot excuse it.
Most of the fanfics depicted him as some asshole who punches Billy when he is bored or drunk, but if you read the book here (and pretty much the show implies), Neil is a responsible stern father and only attacks Billy when he does something irresponsibly or dangerous (which is 90% of the time. Seriously. Billy was already a danger before the Mind Flayer). So he is part of the respectable member of the community, a cop won’t appear at his door to throw him in jail because he disciplined his delinquent son. The only one who would believe Max’s accusations without doubt would have been Eleven and Hopper, and the first doesn’t has powers anymore and Hopper is in trapped in Russia.
Ah, and the funny part of him? Max still lives at his house and his favourite punching bag is gone. Max is not spiraling out of control like Billy was, so the chances she ends being pushed around are less, but maybe if Neil got mad because Billy is dead and blames Max…
Tumblr media
The Evil Russians
The same description as the Hawkins Lab, but even more hilarious and over the top. Gregori kept the adults outside of Hawkins for a huge part of the season and killed Hopper. Commander Ozerov and Dr Zharkov tortured Steve and Robin. Dr Zharkov has to be killed by innocent hero Dustin. They plan another war.
And ironically, their villainy is erased because how over the top said villainy is. We have to be introduced to Alexei, the Russian plot equivalent of Dr Owens. Alexei appears among the rest of the Russian scientists and even when episode one the camera focus on him for a second (the classic “this character is important”) any of the viewers would anticipate he was going to be so relevant to the plot and break brutally our hearts. Alexei is the human face of the Evil Russians, a reminder that those people are just people and not an army. That’s why Alexei needed to be separated from them and have a miniplot with Team Adults. But somehow, the Audience needed to forget he is one of the bad guys.
Tumblr media
Yes, he is.
Maybe he was extorted to work with the Russian Army and everything, maybe he was just the product of the propaganda and wanted to participate in the experiments by himself, but we must not forget that as far as we know, this guy opened a portal to another dimension because he wanted his country to annihilate another. In a war, there is no “defend from others” concept, at that time USA and Russia were ready to jump each other’s throats without mercy. The Woody Woodpecker toy and the slushie love was not casual, the writers wanted to woobiefy him so we can forget maybe he is a genocidal asshole as far as we know. And also, he is in an interesting place: if he helps the Russians, is a villain for America. If he helps America, is a villain for Russia. Gladly he was killed before choosing to do anything.
By extension, Mayor Kline is another visible face of the Evil Russians, a villain but probably the weakest of this entire list. He is only the Mayor of a shitty town; he is not involved with the Upside Down and is just a regular guy. The plot dispatched him quick: Hopper and Joyce were able to hit him without consequences and by the end of the season he is arrested by the police, like all villains in media who are in simple setting of good vs evil.
Tumblr media
The Flayed
Aka the Zombie Army. They are the supernatural equivalent of the Hawkins Lab and the Evil Russians. They are a mixed bunch of people, heroes and villains. Their villainity as a whole came from who is the host at the moment: if they were good people, they are tragic villains who didn’t deserve got killed by the Party, if not, they are terryfing and should be exterminated. Thus, it was mandatory to present some of them distinguishable. Their danger is the moral dilemma of killing them or not, because with a full group of armed adults anyone could have been killed pretty easily:
Billy falls in a grey area (more explained below)
Heather was introduced as a villain by the pool moms (the Nancy Effect again because Teenage Girls Suck) but deconstructed as she is shown as a truly caring nice individual, whose only fault was to have a crush on a dick.
Mrs Driscoll is the adorable granny (specifically designated to hit all the cords of the audience)
Tom Holloway is introduced as a villain since his scenes are from Nancy’s plot, so once we move from her side, we can see he is a fairly competent worker after all with a functional family.
Bruce Lowe comes from the same start as Tom, however, since his scenes were not expanded outside Nancy’s POV, he would remain only as a villain.
On the other hand, The Flayed as a whole they lost all heroicness they could have. They become faceless and uninmportant, to the point our heroes passed from “we want to help this people” when confronted one by one, to “fuck them, we want to kill them” by the end of the season. It was a bit rushed from a writing point, and if we look closely don’t make the heroes look particularly great.
Tumblr media
Billy Hargrove
Billy was brought to the show as the human villain of season 2. And he developed to be a monster villain on season 3. And is incidentally, probably, the best villain of the show (and by extension, a lot of recent shows).
He was supposed to be the dark side of Steve (again, I disagree. Steve was never a bully on first place), without all his redeeming qualities. He was created as the Henry Bowers of Stranger Things, but it ended being much more than that. Billy is much more dangerous, brutal and broken than Henry was, Henry needed his followers to do things most of the time, Billy can do them alone. And before getting possessed.
In It, if the Losers Club wanted to get rid of Henry Bowers, they just needed to finish school. They just needed to play indoors. They just needed to grow up. Even influenced by Pennywise, Henry needs a weapon because he is just human.
Tumblr media
You cannot do that with Billy, because you face the same problem than with his father Neil, you cannot erase him from the plot. Billy is related to Max, so if you want to erase him, you need to erase Max. And Max herself (a full member of the Party at the end of season 2 and subject of 2 love triangles), cannot be erased. The only way to do this is pulling a Rose Tico in TROS, or some characters in Glee, which is forced and obvious. “Do you remember that redhead who was with us last year? Yes, she moved away again and don’t talk to us anymore”. Erasing Billy somehow for real means to kill Max for real too. The writers could have gone also with “Billy runaways and left the town” but they couldn’t really pull that realistically either, since according to the story, he was still a minor. I know that parents in ST are basically inexistent for plot reasons, but that means adding another suspension of disbelief to a show that has already too much incompetent adults and authority figures. So runaway Billy issue should have appear at some point or another again.
Billy is also more dangerous than any of the villains presented before. Brenner has an objective, the Mind Flayer has an objective, Billy was a full wild card. His moods change in one scene in a way any of the other characters. The only thing similar were Flayed Tom and Bruce, and yet they take a bit of time to get in the mood, Billy’s behavior was even more explosive than theirs. He is the closer to kill writers’ pet Steve than any villain, and as Flayed!Billy was the closer to kill Eleven and the Party of all the bad guys.
Both the writers and the actor stated that Billy was a goner since the beginning, but they couldn’t kill him just by “monster attacked him one day and that’s it”. It couldn’t be like this, because Max was related to him, and because the Neil scene. Also, it has the fact that Montgomery sold his acting and this asshole brings a whole new level of energy to an existing A list cast.
Tumblr media
We cheered Joffrey’s death. He deserved it. But. He. Was. So. Entertaining. To. Watch.
Some people felt (justifiably) that Billy’s redemption story fell flat. Daddy abuses and Mommy leaves. Cliché. Also they complained about Max giving so much thought to Billy’s suffering or death (people, despite their relationship, victims and abusers relationships are complex, Max is not a cruel asshole, and Billy has until this moment the most brutal, long 8 episodes torture and death depicted in ST). I think most of the people don’t get Billy was not a redemption story, it was a redemption moment. It’s not the same.
Spike or Zuko started as villains. They got they did wrong and spend several seasons of their respective shows trying to amend the fuckery they did. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo was rushed, okay. But chose to change by himself and spend the rest of the last movie trying to save Rey’s ass. Billy had like 2 minutes of self conscience before getting impaled and dies.
The writers couldn’t have go only with the Full Villain route either. If you left the Neil scene, you have a martyr. If you erase Neil, you have your audience cheering for the Mind Flayer to kill him, and in that case, the Mind Flayer “loses” his villainy. So you have to send your character to the grey territory, again.
Billy on season 2? An asshole.
Billy with Neil and not being hostile to Max at all in their last glimpse of season 2? Redeemed.
Billy being ogled by older women at the pool (remember, victim abuse here)? Redeemed.
Billy insulting a fat kid and trying to get laid with one of the heroes’ mom? Asshole.
Billy spending season 3 crying, scared and begging for help? Redeemed.
Billy trying to kill the Party? Asshole.
Billy confronting the Mind Flayed and telling he’s sorry to Max? Redeemed.
Max mourning Billy, but still having an unresolved, toxic relationship? Asshole.
There were comments from the cast of two plotlines erased due to lack of time, one with Steve and another with Heather at the Lover’s Lake.
Given the above, and the necessity of put Billy in the grey territory, I would go that the scene with Steve would have been Billy mocking Steve’s sailor outfit or something like that (because it wouldn’t be fair for Max’s character that the only character Billy apologises onscreen was his teammate and not his fucking stepsister) and outside of the mall (because I doubt a rocker too cool for school would go to a family friendly sailor themed shop).
And with Heather, it would be something along the lines Heather confessing to Billy and getting rejected because he was focused on Karen. You cannot make Heather have something remotely romantic/sexual with Billy, because she would lose her “innocence” (aka hero status), since it approaches too much to the incel sexist narrative of “all women are bitches who dig bad boys and ignore nice guys and she deserves to be killed for that”. That, or Billy setting a much complex plot to trap Heather (faking a date and everything to take her to an isolated place), but it is much easier for plot and money reasons just have both characters at the showers, instead of taking two actors and the crew to a lake and film a scene (exteriors are a pain in the ass in filming).

I got tagged by @weakforjaskier So... Let’s do this:
Rules: Name your top 10 characters from 10 different fandoms and tag 10 people.
This is gonna be a tough one, but i’ll try. It’s in random order.
___________________________________________________
Number 1: (and this is a hard one) Chireadan - The witcher
Tumblr media
Note: OKAY LET ME EXPLAIN THIS ONE: You cannot, i repeat CANNOT, make me choose between Jaskier and Geralt. I love these two idiots to bits and they are both my top person because Geraskier is one and belongs together always. So i had to pick someone else to keep it fair.
I love the show’s Chireadan. He’s very underrated, has a very cute smile, He just tries to do what’s right and I feel bad for him because of his love for Yennefer and then she goes and does THAT with Geralt where Chireadan can SEE it. Ouch... just... Can i crawl into my screen and hug him please?
Number 2: Merlin - Merlin
Tumblr media
Note: I mean this doesn’t really need an explanation. Just look at that idiot. <3 xD
Number 3: Magnus Bane - Shadowhunters
Tumblr media
Note: Again need i explain this one? Just look at that wink, holy hell.
Number 4: Eric Coulter - Divergent Series
Tumblr media
Note: Surprise, Surprise! I do fall for the bad guy sometimes. And i can’t get it out of my head that Eric might definitely have been divergent too. You can’t convince me otherwise.
Number 5: Thorin Oakenshield - The hobbit
Tumblr media
Note: For a long time this was a battle between Thorin and Bard. Though Thorin wasn’t really a dad but an uncle instead, these movies gave me something for the dad-types. Hell even Thranduil was in the picture briefly. Needless to say, the rightful King under the mountain won.
Number 6: Piers Nivans - Resident Evil 6
Tumblr media
Note: Onto the videogames since the rules said fandoms and not specifically asked series or movie characters, I HAVE to put Piers on the list. It was just unfair and mean dangling this cutie in front of me and then making sure he was only going to be around in that particular game in the franchise. LEON FINALLY HAD A RIVAL OKAY?!!! Besides, how can they do this to Chris? T_T i’m in tears. I ship Nivanfield so hard okay? Let me just tuck myself in a blanket fortress and bawl my eyes out... again.
Number 7: Garfield Logan - Titans
Tumblr media
Note: Pretty self explanatory. I mean... He’s like Merlin only more awkward, goofy and-... aww heck he’s just like Merlin.
Number 8: Isaac Lahey - Teen Wolf
Tumblr media
Note: Basically the first one that fit the bill considering i have a whole list of teen wolf characters that i like. But i could only pick one so Isaac is the poster boy. But behind him are Stiles, Scott, Sean Walcott (we only see one episode of him but still.) Liam, Mason, Corey, Nolan, Kira, Malia, Lydia.. aaaaand Parrish. Yeah... The list goes on.
Number 9: Pavel Chekov - Star Trek (the reboot movies)
Tumblr media
Note: Don’t get me started on this one. When the Actor died i was a mess. This -to me- is the best version of his character and i adore this cutie to pieces. Bones comes as a close second but Pasha takes the cake.
Number 10: Samuel Drake - Uncharted
Tumblr media
Note: He’s flirty, he’s whacky, he isn’t always the good big brother he’s suppose to be. But he’s just winging it bullshitting his way through life like i pretty much do, so a man after my own heart. Except he goes places, i don’t. XD Except i’m don’t lie nearly as often as this guy does. I mean.. To your own brother? Ouch. I mean i get it. I don’t get it. But hey, see how i work my way through things when i’ve spend 13 years in jail and 2 working for a lunatic. I applaud Sam’s ability to still be somewhat sane. (somewhat)
_________________________________________________________
Extra: I’d name my favorite from the Dragon Age franchise, but it’s a different one for every game and i didn’t want to take up three separate spots on the list for these men. Considering there should only be one character per fandom. Besides these guys don’t share. The only thing they should be sharing is me.
Dragon Age Origins: Alistair (My personal goofball)
Tumblr media
Dragon Age 2: Fenris (World’s sexiest grumpy elf)
Tumblr media
Dragon Age Inquisition: Cullen Rutherford (PTSD suffering knight in shining lion armor)
Tumblr media
Holy shit sorry for the long post especially to those scrolling on a phone. I’ll tag people now and finish up.
I FORGOT SUPERNATURAL!!!!!! FOR SHAME! BUT IT’S OBVIOUSLY SAM TILL SEASON 3 AND DEAN FROM SEASON 3 FORWARD! Sorry Sam
