Accident — Ethan Landry ★
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Ethan x fem!reader
A/N: we loveee dizzy being in her active era!!
Tumblr media
All Ethan was trying to do was give you back the notebook you left in his dorm when you had come over to study the other day. He didn’t know you’d be half naked when he walked in. And plus he knocked! Twice! He’s never been so embarrassed, well he has, but this felt so much worse for some reason. Maybe cause he’s liked you for so long now and he’s dreamed of seeing you like that, but on other circumstances. Circumstances where it was intentional.
“Chad, I can’t face her. This is so bad, oh my god,” Ethan’s worried voice was muffled by his hands covering his face. His roommate wasn’t doing anything to help him either, he was just laughing in his face. “Dude! It’ll be fine, don’t stress it,” Chad said while slapping Ethan’s back. Ethan shot him a glare and continued to pace the living room of the apartment you shared with Sam, Tara, and Quinn. Anika was actually trying to help him, Mindy was making fun of him just like her twin was, and Tara was trying her best to help and not laugh at the same time.
There was no way he’d be able to look you in the eyes again. What did you think of him now?? Did you think he was creepy?? A perv?? Would you yell at him when you walked back in?? Tara put a hand on Ethan’s shoulder trying to calm him down, “I’m sure it’s fine, Eth-” Ethan shook his head, “Its not! It’s so embarrassing you don’t understand- I like her a lot and I was planning to ask her out soon but there’s no chance she’d ever say yes now. Oh my god, I can’t imagine what she thinks of me right now,” he rambled while he flopped on the couch.
Ethan’s hands were on his face again and he noticed how everyone went silent. He slowly lowered his hands and looked at everyone, but they were focused on something else. He slowly followed their gazes to see you standing right there. Oh no. Did you hear that? How does everything keep getting worse?Ethan’s face turned bright red and he didn’t know what to do or what to say. After a moment of silence and way too much eye contact he spoke up, “Did you hear that?” He wanted to wince at how small and weak his voice sounded.
“Hear what?” You asked with an innocent tone and a head tilt. But you definitely knew and he knew you knew. I mean you had to. He could read you like a book. There was a mischievous glint in your eyes and a ghost of a smirk on your pretty lips, the lips he wanted to kiss so bad. After another pause of silence Chad decided to put on a movie so everyone could calm down and have a chill little movie night. Ethan was extremely thankful his roommate had a good idea for once, hoping this would take his mind off of everything that just happened.
He was talking with Anika and was starting to relax until you called for him, “Hey Eth, you wanna help me get the popcorn started?” He froze. Why? He wasn’t sure. This was normal and you didn’t seem to be upset at him or anything. This was fine, everything would be fine. “Yeah, sure,” he mumbled as he stood up. He made his way over to you in the kitchen and you smiled at him. He did his best to smile back and watched you get the popcorn bag and put it in the microwave. He looked at what you were wearing, little pajama shorts and a T-Shirt. Then he remembered what you were wearing when he walked in on you, nothing but your underwear.
He’d be lying if he said thinking about you wasn’t making him flush pink and a little hard. “Ethan?” His head snapped to look at your eyes, not realizing he had been staring at your ass the whole time. “I asked if you would get two bowls out for me? Mindy and Anika want to share and Chad and Tara are sharing. I guess you could get three if you want to share with me.” He barely registered what you had said but got three bowls out quickly, wanting to drown out the dirty thoughts he had begun to think about.
It was then he realized he hadn’t apologized for barging in your room just under 10 minutes ago. He placed the bowls on the counter and glanced at you, but you were already looking at him. He cleared his throat, “Um I’m sorry- y’know about earlier. I didn’t mean to walk in on you, I mean obviously. It was an accident, I promise,” he said quickly. You giggled at the flustered boy and he tried his best to avoid your gaze, but he couldn’t. He looked at you and the look on your face and he smiled, the blush on his cheeks not leaving.
“It’s okay, Eth. I didn’t mind,” you told him with a slight smirk. His eyebrows raised slightly and you chuckled. You leaned in and his breath hitched, he didn’t know where this was going. Your hand snaked up his chest and all the way up to cup his face. You admired him for a second before you inched closer to him, making sure nobody else would hear you, “I was kind of sad you didn’t stay,” you said quietly. He didn’t understand. “What?” He asked matching your volume.
“Well all day I’ve been thinking about you.” Your hand was now touching his biceps. “I was hoping when you walked in you would’ve stayed and helped me out, been so needy for you all day,” you confessed while looking at him with big eyes. He thought he was gonna pass out. His cock was definitely hard now, now that he knew you thought of him like he thought of you. And you wanted him, you needed him, just like how he wanted and needed you. “Fuck,” he muttered. You were so close to him and all he wanted was to fuck you against the counter or kiss you, or touch you. Just something. But there were people around.
He couldn’t give a fuck less about a movie right now or that he heard Chad asking what the fuck was taking so long, all he cared about was you. You were intoxicating. “Can we go to my dorm?” He asked you suddenly, the tension getting too much for him. Ethan searched your eyes for any signs of disgust or discomfort, but he didn’t find anything like that. Your eyes were full of lust and want, and it was for him, all for him. “Yes please,” you grabbed his hand and left the kitchen. “We’re going, don’t wait up!” You rushed out the door with Ethan stumbling behind you, a dumb smile on his face.

Fic Name: Night fever
Paring: Elle Greenaway x Reader
Words: 931
Warnings: mostly fluff but there is a tiny bit of an alcohol mention
Content: Reader and Elle watching a horror movie, reader can't sleep that night and Elle comforts them in a cuddle.
A/N: this was another request, but it was super cute and i loved writing it
————————————————————————
"It's my turn to choose the movie this week" Elle grinned.
You groaned as you tilted your head back as you let out a laughed stifled.
"You chose last week Y/N it's Elle's turn now" JJ laughed.
"Okay fine but I'm staying here all night" You laughed.
"Fine by me" Elle agreed considering it was her apartment.
"Fantastic" you tilted your head to the side and smirked.
"Jayje grab the popcorn" Elle shouted as she watched around the couch to put the movie on the TV.
"On it" JJ said running to the cupboard where Elle kept the giant bowls next to the sink.
"Alright who's ready?" Penelope laughed.
"Definitely not Y/N" Elle laughed.
"Very funny Elle, but I'm actually very more than ready" you said with the straightest face as you can.
Elle being a profiler knew you were lying straight away but she wanted to see how far you would go with this lie.
"Right now?" She giggled.
"Right now" you didn't back down but smirked very gently almost impossible for Elle too see if she blinked.
"Alright" Elle said grabbing the bowl out of JJ's hand but keeping eye contact with you.
"Boo" JJ grabbed your shoulders which made you fall to the floor in fear, Elle, JJ, and Penelope laughed while JJ helped you up "I'm sorry" JJ apologized while helping you up.
"JJ it's fine I didn't even get that scared" you lied.
JJ nodded whilst trying her best to hold her grin.
"Come on, it's starting" Penelope shouted.
"Shift up" You said motioning your hands in a swooping position for you to sit in between Elle and JJ, Penelope insistent on being the chair, you did it to selfishly if need be cuddle with Elle.
1  hour later around 2am Penelope had fallen asleep and JJ had hogged the popcorn bowl which made you and Elle and laugh after you realise you hadn't had popcorn in a while.
"Are you scared?" Elle whispered in your ear.
"Not really" you shrugged but Elle felt you shaking.
"Okay" Elle chuckled softly.
"Alright well me and Pen are gonna head off" she smiled as soon as the film finished "do you need a lift Y/N/N?" JJ asked.
"Oh um" you said wondering if Elle remembered if you said you wanted to stay with her tonight.
"She'll stay" Elle smiled genuinely, it wasn't harsh in the way she stated it, in fact it was the opposite.
"Alright well I will see you guys on Monday" JJ smiled.
"Have fun lovebirds" Penelope said half asleep not realising what she actually said out loud.
"She's staying with me tonight" JJ told you and Elle "but you guys have fun though" JJ winked.
"Oh- um-uhh" you tripped over your words and blushed and all Elle could do was watch to see how you would react to you.
Elle hugged Penelope at the door "Get home safely you guys" JJ turned to JJ as she hugged her.
JJ nodded and smiled before she took Penelope's arm underneath hers to lead her to her car.
"Goodnight" Elle said closing the door leaning out for a final goodbye to them.
"Are you ready for bed honey pie?" Elle smiled.
"Sure am" you smiled.
"My guest bedroom is through here" she said guiding you to a room you were somewhat familiar with after putting a very drunk JJ to bed here once or twice.
"Thanks Elle" you smiled as you slipped into bed.
Hours passed and you couldn't sleep because of that film, you tossed and turned, you tried a lamp, you tried white noise, and yet nothing was working.
"Ughhhh" you groaned as you got out of bed walking to Elle's room.
You knocked on Elle's door "Elle" you tapped lightly just enough for her to stir
"Y/N" she said sitting up and rubbing her eyes "Y/N is everything okay?" she smiled.
"Yeah-um- yeah I'm- yeah I'm sorry for you waking you" you turned around.
"Are you scared?" it came out genuine, there was nothing malicious about the way she said it, she meant it.
"Yeah I am" you laughed.
"Get in here" Elle said shuffling back holding up the blanket for you to slip under to make room for you.
"You don't mind?" You laughed.
"Not at all" She smiled "Plus the company would be kind of nice" she grinned.
"Elle" you knew she was just trying to make you feel better.
"No I mean it, I like spending time with you, as much as I can and I like hanging out with you, you're my best friend in the entire world and I love you" Elle's words were unintelligible but you thought her rambling about how much she loved you was cute.
“Me too" you smiled.
"Good morning" Elle said hugging you from behind.
"Hey you" you turned to face her "what you said yesterday?" you suggested.
"Oh" she said in defeat "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable" she bit her lip.
"Um no It didn't, I was gonna tell you I felt the same sooner or later" you laughed.
"You feel the same way about me?" Elle smiled.
"Yes" You smiled as you fell flat on your back Elle hugged you as she fell on your chest "Come here" you smiled as you pulled her face down by her cheeks to kiss her.
"You have no idea how badly I've been wanting to do that" Elle laughed honestly.
"Hopefully every morning for the rest of time?" you questioned happily.
"For the rest of time" Elle stated.

Frodo sighed deeply for the fifth time in a row, letting his head drop onto the math textbook on the table, mumbling something along the lines of wanting to drop out. “Are you alright, Mr. Frodo?” Sam, his roommate, walked over to his desk and presented a mug of hot chocolate to the tired hobbit. Frodo gladly accepted the comforting beverage and looked up at his friend wearily. “I cannot do this anymore Sam. Professor Saruman is notorious for making his exams almost impossible to pass and my cousin Merry failed his class twice.” Samwise Gamgee chocked back a laugh: “Begging your pardon, Mr. Frodo but I met your cousin Merry and he is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.”
As if on command, a characteristic knock on the door announced the arrival of Merry. Sam opened the door. “Hi Sam, hi Frodo,” Merry and Pippin, whom the former was rarely seen without, said in unison. Sam’s sigh as he let them in was the only greeting they got from him. In Samwise Gamgee’s opinion, these two were never up to any good. Frodo greeted them with a “hmmm,” barely looking up from his textbook. “Frodo, I heard you’re taking Algebra with Saruman tomorrow, huh?” Merry said sympathetically, “so we came to give you our condolences in person.” Frodo let his head fall back, staring at the ceiling with an empty expression.
“Oh Eru, I am done for,” the hobbit proclaimed dramatically, “I could not have chosen a more awful class to take.” Pippin chuckled mischievously. “Try Sindarin 101 if you really want to be humbled. Word is, the last exam was so bad even Legolas failed.” Sam looked over at the youngest hobbit with furrowed brows. “That is hardly possible. Legolas is an elf, he grew up speaking Sindarin.” Pippin started laughing hysterically. “And that’s not even the worst of it! The professor is his father!” Sam made it clear that he did not believe a word that came out of Pippin’s mouth.
Merry and Pippin insisted on dragging Frodo and Sam along to meet with Aragorn, stating that “Aragorn tells this story so much better, we don’t know all the facts” and “Frodo needs a break from studying anyway.” Thus, the four of them made their way from their dorm, Shire, to Gondor, where Aragorn and his roommate Boromir, the Lords of Gondor, lived. Why they were being referred to as “the Lords,” no one knew. “Strider, open up!” Pippin called loudly as he knocked on the door. Aragorn looked terrible. He was the kind of guy that went to every single party. No one knew when he had last slept, or showered for that matter. Boromir looked equally tired, albeit in a different way. He appeared to have been studying for three days straight.
They made themselves comfortable on the floor with a bowl of popcorn after Aragorn had agreed to tell the full story of the legendary Sindarin 101 exam. Aragorn sighed deeply, fighting back laughter as he prepared himself. “Okay, so you guys remember Arwen, right?” “Your crush?” Pippin asked unabashedly, wincing as Sam elbowed him in the ribs. Boromir let out a snort before walking out to find a more quiet place to study.
Aragorn sighed again. “Anyway. Professor Oropherion demands a lot. His exams are hard, there are a lot of books to read in preparation. Legolas, being the lazy fucker that he is, did not read a single book on the list, hoping that his father would let him pass. Then, a week or so before the exam, Oropherion asks his son how the studying is going and if he needs help with anything. Turns out, his father would, in fact, not just let him pass.” Frodo piped up: “And that is obviously why he failed.” But Aragorn merely shook his head. “No, Frodo, that is not even the half of it.”
“That is where Arwen comes into play. She is a natural. She loves the assigned reading and even goes to office hours to discuss it. Legolas told me he failed the exam because he cheated. Copied off all of Arwen’s answers. But that is where it gets confusing. Arwen got an A, so we were all wondering how Legolas could have fucked it up this badly.” Sam nodded thoughtfully, asking himself the same thing. “So how did it happen? Did he get caught?” The hobbit asked. “No, Sam,” Aragorn replied, “not exactly caught. Although his father must have figured it out somehow. At that point, I still had little idea about what had actually happened at the exam, but I asked Legolas’ roommate Gimli to distract him so I could sneak in and take a look at the graded exam.”
Aragorn took a dramatically long sip of his energy drink before continuing with his account. “All of Legolas’ stolen answers were correct, except for the last one. A question about Ecthelion’s ‘Annals of Gondolin’ that must have been particularly tough.” “But if Legolas got everything else right, why did he fail?” Frodo interrupted impatiently, eager to get back to studying. “Well, Legolas wrote ‘goheno nin ada, ni neth ogol’ as his answer.” “Wait, wouldn’t it have to be ‘ion’?” Frodo was confused. Why would Legolas write ‘Sorry Daddy, I’ve been a bad girl’ when confessing to his father that he had not studied for the exam? “Frodo.” Aragorn looked at the hobbit intensely. “I told you that Legolas copied every single answer.” “But that still makes no sense, Thranduil is not Arwen’s fath- OH ERU ILÚVATAR!”
The silence was deafening as the hobbits processed the information Aragorn had just given them. “I still don’t get it,” Pippin confessed. Merry leaned over and whispered something in his ear. “They WHAT?” he exclaimed in shock, “I mean, personally, I get it, Legolas’ dad is super hot and all, it’s just that I wasn’t expecting this at all, I mean she seems like such a nun.” Aragorn was visibly upset. It was funny enough that Legolas failed his exam, but having to recount how Arwen, the love of his life, was with another elf instead of with him, continued to break his heart every time he thought about it.
The four hobbits left Aragorn alone, reassuring him that they would not tell anyone and that Arwen would ultimately come to her senses. “Don’t worry, she probably only wants an easy way to pass,” Merry told Aragorn sympathetically. It did not reassure him whatsoever. When Frodo and Sam arrived back in their room, Frodo sighed deeply and sat down at his desk, desperately trying to remember how differential equations and algebraic structures worked. Those damned rings were ruining his life, he hated them so much. Sam went to bed early, urging Frodo to do the same. But the anxious hobbit stayed up studying all night, resulting in him being a shaky mess when Sam woke up again the next morning.
Sam, Merry and Pippin were gathered in Sam and Frodo’s dorm, anxiously waiting for Frodo to return from the dreaded exam with Saruman. When he did, he looked more triumphant than they had anticipated. “I knew you could do it, Mr. Frodo!” Sam exclaimed excitedly, happy that his friend was in high spirits again. Frodo shook his head. “Saruman was sick! He has some sort of eye infection, so Gandalf took over for him. He was already high as a kite when the exam started so he did not notice that half the class was cheating and when I tried to ask him a question he told me he had no idea what I was talking about and just handed me the sheet with the solutions!” The four hobbits laughed heartily. There could not have been a better outcome to that exam.
[the day before, in the office of Saruman and Gandalf] “Gandalf, my friend, do you have to smoke your longbottom leaf in here?” Saruman complained, rubbing his eyes.

The Best Ex
Fandom: Stranger Things, Steddie, Nancy's POV
WC: 1.1k
A/N: Finished my first semester of grad school! Here's a small fic to celebrate.It's kind of a different style than what I usually go for. Lmk what you think. :) /gen /pos
Nancy Wheeler knew she was far from perfect. But, for all her faults (bossiness, impatience, her tendency to be a know-it-all - okay, Mike thank you for elaborating!) she considered herself to be a good friend to her ex-boyfriend, Steve Harrington.
It certainly didn’t start out that way. Nancy still felt a curl of guilt deep in her stomach when she thought of the cruel, drunken words she spat at Steve that Halloween, or the way he still winced when anyone said the word bullshit. But, after saving the world with her four times in a row, Steve had somehow found it in himself to forgive her. That was a gift horse that Nancy certainly wasn’t going to look in the mouth.
Here’s the thing: Nancy knew Steve. Like, better than most people. Her unique position as ex-turned-friend meant that she had access to information that few others did. And one such piece of information was just how much Steve craved physical affection.
It was obvious to her, the way he would lean into Robin’s touch when she fixed his collar, or the way he seemed to always be the last one to let go in a hug. Steve wanted to be touched, and no one was doing it enough.
At first, Nancy was stumped. She didn’t necessarily want to be touchy with Steve again - that just wasn’t the type of relationship they had now, and knowing the kids they would assume that the two of them had gotten back together, which was a conversation she wanted to avoid if at all possible. But it seemed too weird to walk up to Robin or Dustin and ask them to touch Steve more.
The perfect solution fell into her lap one movie night. The Babysitter’s Club, as the older kids had dubbed themselves, tried to meet at least twice a month, more to get high and shoot the shit than to actually watch movies. This particular night found Robin and Nancy digging through Steve’s parents’ extensive movie collection, yet to find one that they both agreed on. Jonathan and Argyle sat on the couch, being unhelpful, Nancy thought to herself when neither of them backed her up when she suggested All The President’s Men. Steve had situated himself on the other couch, stretched out, languidly watching Nancy and Robin argue with half closed eyes. Eddie strode into the room with all the grace of a newborn deer, nearly spilling the giant bowl of popcorn in his hands.
Eddie reached Steve’s couch and prodded Steve’s foot. “Move these, big boy, this spot has my name on it.”
Steve raised one eyebrow and made a show of looking at the seat in question. “Huh. Weird. Nope, nobody wrote Eddie Munson’s Spot on here. In fact, I figured that this couch was reserved for me, since this is my goddamn house,” he snarked, smirking and crossing his arms over his chest.
Eddie squawked, throwing a hand over his heart as he began a dramatic monologue about betrayal and the king’s throne. Nancy was suddenly struck with a mischievous idea.
“Eddie,” she said, cutting off his rant mid-sentence.
He turned to her and raised an eyebrow. “Yes, lady Wheeler?”
Nancy smiled, blinking innocently. “Steve’s ticklish.”
Steve’s eyes shot open in panic and Eddie’s in delight. “Nance!” Steve protested, trying to vault himself off the couch frantically, only for Eddie to throw his entire body on top of Steve’s, knocking the wind out of both of them.
Eddie recovered first, crowing in delight when a poke to the side had Steve recoiling with an aborted giggle. Without further ado, Eddie rained ticklish pokes up and down Steve’s torso, cackling madly. Steve, failing to wrestle his arms out from underneath Eddie, bit down on his growing grin and squeezed his eyes shut.
“Ohhh, Nancy Wheeler, Chaotic Good doesn’t even begin to describe you,” Eddie said, switching to rapid spidering along Steve’s flanks.
Steve puffed out his cheeks, desperately trying to contain his laughter, but Nancy could tell he wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer.
“If you get under his arms, he’ll break,” Nancy said confidently.
“Would you just shUT uhuhuhuhuhup, Wheeler,” Steve yelped as, just as Nancy predicted, he collapsed into frantic giggles as soon as Eddie wormed his way under his arms.
“Not a nice way to speak to someone who knows all your tickle spots,” Nancy teased, watching as Steve’s already pink face turned crimson.
“Oo, I take it back, Nance, maybe Chaotic Evil fits you best,” Eddie laughed as he dug deep into Steve’s underarms, prompting a howl from Steve. “Any other tricks up your sleeve?”
Nancy pretended to think for a moment, taking her time as Eddie took Steve apart. Steve shook his head back and forth as Nancy tapped her chin.
“Nonononono, Nahahancy, plehehehease,” Steve craned his neck to look at her desperately as he laughed.
Unable to keep up the charade, Nancy grinned evilly. Steve might as well have given her permission. “If you squeeze his thighs, he’ll scream,” she told Eddie.
Immediately, Steve started babbling, pleading with Eddie, who evidently would have none of it as he reached down and squeezed the top of Steve’s thigh.
Steve exploded into laughter, almost bucking Eddie off of him as his hips shot towards the ceiling involuntarily. They quickly collapsed back down, though, as Steve’s energy sapped as his two worst spots were tickled at once. Tears of mirth gathered at the corners of Steve’s eyes and slipped down his cheeks.
Nancy caught Eddie’s eye and motioned for him to let up. Eddie did so, got up off of Steve, before lifting his limp legs and sitting down victoriously, placing Steve’s feet in his lap as Steve came down from his giggle-high. Eddie grinned at Nancy and she responded with a smile of her own. Then she mimed running her fingernails gently over the tops of her own feet, nodding at Eddie when his hand hovered, hesitating, in the same position over Steve’s.
Nancy looked on as Eddie ever-so-lightly brushed the tips of his fingers over the tops of Steve’s feet, and felt a warmth bloom in her chest at Steve’s responding tired, pleased hum. Eddie looked like he was going to keel over from how cute Steve was.
Steve’s eyes slipped closed as he focused on the tingly sensation. Nancy knew he wasn’t far from sleep; he was worn out. Before he completely drifted away, however, he mumbled in her direction, “And fuck you very much, Wheeler.”
Nancy snickered to herself. Oh yeah. She was definitely the best ex-girlfriend-turned-friend that Steve had.

Lie for Me (Steve Harrington x Reader) - Chapter 2
Author's Note: Hey guys! This is chapter 2 to Lie for Me! I'm super excited that y'all are liking it so far. Since I'm ahead on writing, I think I'm gonna start posting chapters twice a week! So chapter 3 should come out this Sunday! Thanks for all the love and support, y'all mean so much to me <3
Story Summary: What happens when you see Steve Harrington for what feels like the first time since high school, and you already have someone asking if you’re his girlfriend? And what happens if you say yes?
Chapter Summary: You get to spend a little bit more time with the infamous Steve Harrington, and things are actually going pretty well. Maybe you'll stay friends with Steve after everything is over? After all, it should be over soon...
Lie for Me Chapter 2 - Pillow Fights
Steve Harrington x Reader
Word Count: 1,326
Warnings: None that I'm aware of. Just fluff this chapter! (Maybe like a tiny bit of angst if you squint really hard?)
Things had been going…interestingly, to say the least. Nothing bad, of course, but you had spent a lot more time with Steve the past week than you had ever planned to in your life. Everytime Dustin and Steve were hanging out now, Dustin would always insist that Steve invite you along as well. You had honestly started to enjoy your time with the two of them.
“Hey, is (Y/n) coming tonight?” Dustin asks Steve as they sit down for a movie.
“No, it’s just us tonight. She was, uh, busy.”
“Bull. Call her up, I wanna say hi.”
“I’m not going to--”
“Call her!”
“Fine!” Steve gets up and goes over to Dustin’s home phone, taking it off the wall and dialing your house. It rings a few times before he hears your voice on the line.
“Hello?” You ask.
“Hey, it’s just me. Dustin insisted that he wanted to say--” Before Steve could even finish his sentence, Dustin had taken the phone out of his hand and started speaking.
“Hi (Y/n)! Steve and I are about to watch a movie, did you want to come over and join us?” Dustin asks, a grin splitting his face as he watches Steve’s expression turn sour. It’s not that Steve didn’t want you here, he just felt bad for constantly making you turn on the act in front of Dustin. In all honesty, Steve had grown quite accustomed to your presence over the last week, and he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t looking forward to spending a little more time with you. You had become one of his good friends, and he was happy that it was finally someone his age besides Robin.
“Oh, yeah, sure. I’ll be over in a few.” He hears your voice over the line, and then suddenly the call has ended.
“What was that about her being busy?” Dustin gives Steve a look. Steve rolls his eyes.
“Shut up, Henderson. Let’s go make popcorn.”
Three sharp knocks at the door turned Steve and Dustin’s head immediately. Steve tried to start for the door, but Dustin ran past him, shoving him in the process, so that he could beat him there.
“(Y/n)! Hey!” Dustin lets you in, and you greet him with a smile.
“Hey, Henderson. Where’s Steve at?” You ask.
“Kitchen. We just finished making popcorn, you want some?”
“Of course I do.” You nod, making your way to the kitchen. You arrive to see Steve standing there, bowls filled with popcorn in hand. You smile softly at him.
“M’lady.” Steve offers you a bowl. You graciously accept.
“Why thank you, kind sir. What movie are we watching?”
“Star Wars.”
“Again?”
“It’s one of Dustin’s favorites.” Steve shrugs, taking the other two bowls of popcorn to the living room where Dustin is.
“Because it’s the best! Did you know that--” Dustin starts, but Steve interrupts him.
“Whatever you’re about to say, yes, we know. You’ve likely already told us four times.”
“Steve, let the poor boy be excited about the movie. It’s a good movie.” You smack his arm.
“Yeah. Let the poor boy be excited.” Dustin mimics you, making a puppy dog face at Steve.
“Henderson, I will hit you with this pillow.” Steve grumbles.
“Don’t do that. You’ll start a pillow fight.” You give Steve a warning glance. Before you can even get the movie started, though, you feel a soft thud against the back of your head. You slowly turn around to see a pillow lying at your feet, and two nervous boys in front of you, both pointing a finger at the other one.
Steve looks the most surprised, although he is still laughing.
Dustin, on the other hand, doesn’t look surprised at all but is trying to hold in his laughter. So, you deduce that it was probably him who threw the pillow.
That doesn’t affect who you’re going to throw it at, though.
You swiftly take the pillow and launch it at Steve, hitting him square in the chest.
“Hey!” He gasps, looking down at the fallen pillow. Everything is still for a moment.
“Pillow fight!” Dustin yells, picking up two pillows and launching it at both you and Steve. You pick up pillows of your own and defend yourself. In the span of ten seconds, the room is filled with flying pillows and laughter.
“I’ll get you for that, (Y/n)!” Steve yells over the ruckus, sending a pillow your way. You dodge it and stick your tongue out at him.
“You’re gonna have to try harder than that to get me, Harrington!”
And try he does. In a second, he’s by your side pelting you over and over in the side with a pillow.
“Low blow!” You laugh, grabbing a pillow to hit him on the head with.
“Don’t let me miss out on the fun!” Dustin tackles Steve onto a pile of pillows, earning a laugh from all three of you.
“Dogpile!” You fall on top of the two of them, crushing Steve underneath the weight of you and Dustin.
“Okay, okay! Everyone get up!” Steve concedes. You and Dustin high-five after you’re all done laughing and getting up.
“That was fun, but now I’m tired.” Dustin grins, sitting back down. You look at the strewn-about pillows covering the room, and the fresh bowls of popcorn that got spilled all over the rug.
“We made a mess, though.” You point out.
“We’ll clean it up. Come on, Dustin.” Steve bends down and starts to gather the popcorn up. It’s silent for a moment, causing you to look up at the couch where Dustin’s sitting.
Dustin is passed out, laying down and snoring.
You laugh softly and kneel down next to Steve, helping him clean up.
“He’s passed out, isn’t he?” Steve asks.
“Completely.” You chuckle.
“Typical Henderson.” Steve looks up and smiles at the boy.
“It’s cute, though. You guys obviously care deeply about each other.” You smile at Steve before looking down and continuing your cleaning.
“Yeah. He’s like a little brother to me.” Steve admits, putting the popcorn into one of the bowls.
“I can tell. He really looks up to you, Steve.” You hum, putting your own popcorn back.
“I know. That’s why I don’t want to let him down.” He nods. You lay your hand on his shoulder, a soft smile resting on your lips.
“You won’t. I’m sure of that,” You tell him. He smiles and looks down at the ground.
“Thank you.”
You pat his back a couple of times and stand up, taking the dirty popcorn bowl with you. You cross to the kitchen and throw it away before putting the bowl in the sink.
“You know, we make a pretty good fake couple,” Steve says. You turn around to see him leaning against one of the counters.
“Careful how loud you say that, Dustin might not actually be asleep. Besides, we’ve only got a couple more days left.” You tease, but the comment makes you blush slightly.
“I know. It’ll be a shame, I’m sure Dustin will be heartbroken.” Steve chuckles.
“Well, we can all still hang out as friends, then. As if that’s not low-key what we’ve actually been doing this entire time.”
Steve nods, not saying anything. You wonder if you’ve said something wrong for a moment but decide against mentioning it.
“Well, I should probably get going. Early work day tomorrow and all. I’ll see you later, yeah?” You ask, giving him a small smile as you grab your things.
“Yeah. I’ll see you later.” He nods and smiles at you. You leave and head back to your house with something that you can’t quite decipher gnawing at your mind.
Why did you feel guilty when he went quiet? And why did he go quiet in the first place?
You try to put your thoughts at rest when you get home and get ready for bed, but they don’t quell so easily. Maybe you’ll figure it out tomorrow, but for tonight, you just wanted to focus on getting some well-deserved rest.

10) “Please, for the love of god, do not explain any of what I’m seeing.”
I feel like there could be a lot good comedic dialogue with this one.
I’ve enjoyed your Supercorp stories so far ❤️
thank you!! here have some more fluff: this is disgust #10 from these dialogue prompts
"Please, for the love of god, do not explain any of what I'm seeing."
“Your Monopoly set is cursed.”
Lena glares at the board, currently filled with houses and hotels, abandoned pieces still spaced around the edges. She’s sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch instead of sitting on it and looking disgruntled. Her nose is scrunched in disgust, and Kara kind of wants to reach over and boop it.
Instead, she leans back on her hands and grins at Lena. “I don’t think the fact that you lost means it’s cursed.”
Laughter rings out loudly from the kitchen, and Kara catches Nia’s cackle above the rest. It’s the tail end of game night, the point where the games are starting to be forgotten halfway through and abandoned in favour of fervent drunk rants and trips to the kitchen for more snacks. Right now, Kara can hear Nia trying to convince the others to climb out the fire escape and up to the roof.
It’s just her and Lena left in the living room now, and Kara’s had enough aldebaran rum and coke that everything is a little fuzzy around the edges.
Lena falls forwards slightly, like she’s tilting on her axis. She’s a lot floppier when she’s drunk. “I think that’s exactly what it means,” she says. “I always win Monopoly. I am the queen of Monopoly. I do not go bankrupt.”
“You did in this game,” Kara laughs, catching her hands. Lena beams at her, forgetting to be irritated for a moment before she quickly overcompensates with an expression that’s far too serious to be believable.
“Because it’s cursed,” she says.
“Because Alex beat you.”
Lena gasps. “Alex cursed Monopoly.”
“Alex did not curse Monopoly,” says Kara, swatting at her. Lena laughs and swats her back, so they’re hitting each other’s hands as she talks. “There were just a lot of us and you had bad luck this time.”
“Like I said, cursed!”
There’s the sound of a window opening and closing, and the chatter in the kitchen swells and fades slightly. Nia must have convinced everyone to go up to the roof. Kara cranes her neck to try and see if there’s anyone still left in the kitchen.
“Stupid Monopoly,” Lena mutters, mostly to herself. “Fuck Monopoly.” And just as Kara’s turning back to look at her, she reaches out and hits the board off the table, sending cards and plastic pieces flying.
“Lena!” says Kara.
Lena does not have the grace to look abashed. In fact, she looks quite pleased with herself, like a cat who just knocked something over.
“You can’t just knock over the Monopoly,” says Kara, scraping up handfuls of little plastic houses and hotels from the carpet. “What if we wanted to keep playing?”
“Oh, pfft,” says Lena, unbothered, flipping dark hair away from her face. “Everyone’s too drunk to play now anyways. We weren’t going to keep playing.”
“You don’t know that.” Kara plucks a Monopoly house from her palm and throws it at Lena. It bounces off her forehead, and Lena’s jaw drops in a comical exaggeration of betrayal.
“Did you just throw a hotel at me?”
“It was a house, actually,” says Kara, picking another one to throw. This one bounces off Lena’s cheekbone. “That was a hotel.”
“You did not just do that.” Lena leans across the table and snatches a stack of Monopoly money, then launches it in Kara’s direction. It flutters down over the table and carpet. A bill brushes Kara’s ear. One lands on Lena’s head.
“That’s paper, it’s not going to do anything.”
“Don’t test me,” says Lena, scrambling out from behind the coffee table and grabbing the rest of the stack of money. She flicks it off her hand, a few bills at a time, sending a rain of multicoloured money over Kara and scattering the once tidy piles across the floor. The bills slide under the couch and TV. Kara chokes out stop between her laughter, still tossing tiny houses and game pieces at Lena.
There’s a bowl of gummy bears on the table, and when Kara runs out of Monopoly pieces, she reaches for a handful of those and starts throwing them at Lena instead. Lena’s moved on to throwing the cards at her, and it’s really going to be a bitch to pick it all up tomorrow, but Kara’s laughing too hard to care. Lena’s cackling, and she stumbles to the side and crashes into the coffee table, knocking over the remaining Jenga tower as she goes down. It only makes them both laugh harder.
Popcorn. The bowl of popcorn on the couch still hasn’t been knocked over, so Kara grabs a fistful of that and throws it. It’s better than the gummy bears, it sticks in Lena’s hair and falls down her blouse.
Having finally exhausted the contents of Monopoly, Lena reaches for her own handfuls of popcorn and gummy bears. “Take that,” she says, alternating between throwing the two snacks at Kara. “And that.” A gummy bear lands in Kara’s mouth. A piece of popcorn hits her eye.
Hiccupping back her laughter, Kara reaches blindly across the table for her drink, and without really thinking about it, flicks her wrist and tosses the entire contents directly at Lena’s face.
Everything freezes. Lena looks stunned, blinking rum and coke from her eyes. Amber liquid drips from her chin, her hair.
Kara, eyes wide, only manages, “Oh my god, Lena, I am so—” before Lena’s vodka soda is hitting her in the face. She gasps, inhaling a mouthful down her windpipe. Lena looks far too smug when she finally manages to stop coughing, and some instinct in Kara must take over because she lunges forwards and tackles Lena to the carpet.
Lena shrieks and laughs and squirms, and Kara pins both her hands above her head with one hand, sitting on her knees to straddle Lena’s waist. Instinct still driving her, she leans forwards and licks a wet strip up Lena’s cheek.
When she sits back again, Lena has stopped squirming and is staring up at her, utterly bemused. “Did you just lick me?”
“You’re covered in aldebaran rum and coke,” Kara grins. “Wouldn’t want it to go to waste. It’s expensive stuff, Lena.”
“Oh, so you’re trying to drink me.”
Kara shrugs. “Drink, eat, whatever.”
She’s basically sitting over Lena’s middle, which means she feels the way Lena’s stomach jerks slightly against her pelvis in a sharp inhale. Feels the way Lena tenses, like every muscle in her body has gone taut. Lena swallows, licks her lips nervously, which of course brings Kara’s full attention to her mouth.
Her lips are so pink, and so pretty and plush, and she suddenly looks so kissable it’s unbearable. It feels like Kara has to kiss her, like it’s a physical compulsion. She takes Lena’s chin in her free hand, squishing her cheeks slightly as Lena stares at her, and whispers, “Wait, wait, wait.”
Then, very gently, softly, quickly, she presses her lips to Lena’s.
Lena blinks at her, eyelashes fluttering, when she pulls away. There’s a long silence where she searches Kara’s eyes before she says, voice low, “Again?”
Kara leans forwards and presses a second experimental kiss to Lena’s lips. She lingers a moment longer than the first one, then pulls back an inch, still holding Lena’s hands fast above her head.
“Yes?” she whispers.
Lena nods, like she can’t quite remember how to speak. Then she says, “More.”
When Kara kisses her for a third time, her lips are already parted slightly, and they slot easily between Kara’s.
They’re so soft.
She tastes like vodka soda and gummy bears, and it’s almost more than Kara’s drunk brain can process at once; Lena’s warm body pressed to hers, her slim wrists in Kara’s hand, the softness of her lips, the taste of her mouth, the slick brush of her tongue. She loses herself in it, forgets time, forgets how they got here, forgets everything but Lena.
It’s finally quiet after all their shrieking and laugher, just the sound of their lips melding together. Kara’s not sure how long they’ve been kissing—perhaps a minute, perhaps a lifetime—when someone clears their throat loudly, like they’ve already done it once or twice.
Kara breaks away, and Lena makes a small protesting sound in the back of her throat, a tiny whimper. They both look over Kara’s shoulder at Alex, who’s standing in the doorway looking faintly queasy.
Kara watches her take in the scene: Lena lying on the ground with Kara straddling her waist and pinning her hands above her head, the pile of Monopoly money and pieces that they’re lying in, the gummy bears and popcorn scattered across the floor and in their hair, the drinks that are still dripping from both their furtive, swollen-lipped faces.
Alex opens her mouth, and then presses it closed again.
“You know what,” she says, after a long moment. “I don’t think I want to know. Please, for the love of god, just… do not explain any of what I’m seeing right now.”
Without another word, she turns on her heel and disappears back into the kitchen.
Kara and Lena turn back to each other, still pressed together on the floor, breath uneven. Lena’s flushed, eyes dark, lips parted. She really does look good enough to eat. Her wrists twitch under Kara’s hand.
They stare at each other. Several long seconds tick by. Then, simultaneously, they start laughing.
It’s a long time before they stop.

I really enjoyed reading your fic fall in hatred with jin and liked the concept of a couple on the verge of a divorce. I thought I’d make a request for an angsty marriage/divorce au with another member like jk but it ends fluffy🥺
Whether you take this request or not, I wanted to say that you’re a great writer and I always love reading your stories 💜
↳ Honeymoon Horrors
3.7k || 55% Angst, 45% Fluff || Min Yoongi || Divorce!AU
It was great when it started.   Cloud nine had descended down and made its home above both your heads. You were practically floating, swooning, living a romance that Nicholas Sparks would’ve envied. You felt like you were on a permanent high as if weed and cocaine was permanently stuck in your system. You had reached enlightenment and you were permanently euphoric. How could you not be?   You had met your soulmate after all.   But as the years passed, it came tumbling down. Cloud nine started to rain. You swooned so hard that you struck your head against the edge of the kitchen counter. Instead of floating, you were getting dragged down to hell and the high you felt turned into a crash. Most importantly, you became enraged.   And you’re still mad now.   When you watch your wedding videos, all you can do is throw popcorn at the screen and scream at the grinning bitch that she’s making the worst mistake of her life.    Life’s full of plot twists, isn’t it?   And you can only chuckle at that realization now. Because what was meant to be the honeymoon you never had, a replacement honeymoon of sorts, is turning out to be a nightmare.   “Hey. Can you move?”   You rip off your headphones. “Excuse me?”   “You’re taking up all of the space.” Yoongi stares at you lazily. “This is supposed to be my armrest.”   “No. This is mine. That’s yours.”   “No. Yours is next to the window. This one is supposed to be mine. If you’re that uncomfortable, you should’ve just given me the window seat.”   You scoff and shove his arm off the armrest with your own. The half-offended, half-amused expression on Yoongi’s face is utterly stupid. It’s as if he’s judging you for being childish when he was the one who started this. You wish you could punch him square in the nose. “If you want me to move, then why don’t you move your legs? You’re taking up all the leg room!”   “You’re only out of space because you had to put your purse under the seat.”   “Where else am I supposed to put my purse?!”   “Do you see me carrying a purse?”   Suddenly, there’s a clearing of the throat. A female flight attendant is standing at the aisle and leaning over while wearing a perfectly, cordial smile. “Is there a problem over here?”   Your eyes narrow into the nosy bitch sitting across the aisle who probably tattled. You saw her looking in the corner of her eye from the very start.    “No. Not at all.”   Yoongi smiles easily. “We’re fine.”   There’s an urge to roll your eyes.    In all honesty, you underestimated Yoongi. While your divorce was well on its way and heading off like a bullet train, you had forgotten how petty he was. Exactly like you. Maybe that’s why for a period of time, you suited one another so well.   With the deposit already given on what was supposed to be the honeymoon extravaganza you never had and the plans already made long ago, you were set on going no matter what. Except he was also set on going. The asshole couldn’t give up and neither were you willing to give in.   So here you were. With your worst nemesis.    “Can you repeat that?”   “I’m sorry, ma’am. There’s no possible way we can get you two rooms.” The receptionist looks up from her computer screen. “You originally booked the presidential suite, correct?”   “Yes, but we changed it into two regular rooms a while ago,” Yoongi says. His brows are cinched together and he’s gripping onto the itinerary tightly.   The girl behind the front desk looks at her computer again and clicks twice but probably at nothing. “I’m so sorry. It looks like it didn’t register into our system. Is there anything else I can do for you?”   This is dreadful. As if things couldn’t get worse, they got much much worse.   “Great.” You haul in your luggage, no thanks to him. “This is just great.”   “Yeah, keep complaining,” Yoongi grumbles, “See how much that helps.”   “Shut up.”   On the top floor, the room is quiet and open. There’s a love seat in front of a flat screen television, a dining room and an open kitchen and bar. The large glass windows fully face the sandy, blue beach and allows light to pour into the enormous space. There are two chairs outside the private terrace and a jacuzzi too. But as beautiful as the place is, you feel bitter.    It should’ve been great.    It would’ve been great if you were alone.   And to make matters worse, it seems like the resort hadn’t gotten the news that your relationship with Yoongi was essentially decimated. Not when there was a scattered rose petal path leading up to the king-sized bed which also had two folded doves on it with the word ‘congratulations’ spelled out in more petals. There’s also a note: I hope you enjoy yourselves, Mr. and Mrs. Min. And neither of you miss the mountainous stack of condoms on the nightstand.   Yoongi’s pale. “Christ.”   The knock on the door breaks the thick tension.   Yoongi opens the door, and he immediately steps back as two enthusiastic employees enter while wheeling in a silver cart. “Aloha, welcome to Hawaii! Are you the newlyweds?”   “Umm…”    The two of you are well past that period. To be exact, you married nearly two years ago, but you don’t know how to break it to them. Yoongi’s never been good with words either.   “Enjoying your honeymoon, aren’t you? Congratulations!” The older man is excited as if he was the one who got married. “We bought you a bottle of our best champagne to celebrate and hope you have an everlasting marriage!”   The girl beside the man pops the cork and pours the champagne, and you realize it would be more painless to go along with it.   “Thanks,” you mumble, taking your flute of champagne and nearly downing the entire thing in one go. Yoongi holds his and raises a brow at you.   “We also have a red velvet cake.” He shows you on the busy cart. “And our freshest chocolate strawberries just made earlier by our finest chef. I think you’ll enjoy this chocolate as well.”   “Thank you.” Yoongi offers a faint smile. “This is really nice.”   “Of course, of course! Anything for our newlyweds!” There’s a small bowl of almonds next to the chocolates and two raw oysters served on a plate. It’s odd with the ensemble, but then the man leans closer as if revealing a secret and puts a hand by his mouth. “It is said almonds, chocolate and oysters are aphrodisiacs.”   You choke on your champagne, sputtering.   The girl grins. Yoongi’s wide-eyed.   He collects himself quicker than you do. “Thank you.”   Luckily the friendly, borderline-overbearing staff leave the both of you to it and you’re put out of your misery. For only a moment.   “Are you going to finish that bottle of champagne by yourself?” Yoongi asks across the room and you turn your head to see his cocked brow. Of course, he’s unpacking. The asshole doesn’t know how to relax and always has to make you look bad.   You scoff. “I’m about to open the red wine too.”   “Never thought I’d see you be reduced to a drunk so quickly.”   “Why can’t you just leave me alone? You’re always judging and nitpicking me.”   “I was making a comment.”   “Yeah and no one asked you to,” you mumble into the glass.   Yoongi eyes you. “You don’t have to get so upset, Y/N.”   “Are you serious?” Your posture straightens, legs lifted off the chair you propped them on and feet shifted onto the ground. “I was sitting here minding my own business. Why don’t you mind your own business.”   “I just thought you didn’t want to be sloppy when dinner hasn’t even started yet.”   “I know how to control my pacing.”   Yoongi snorts.   Your tongue rolls inside your cheek. “Excuse me?”   “What?”   “You look like you want to say something.”   “No. Not at all.”   You place the flute down onto the table. “Say it, Yoongi.”    “I thought you said I should mind my own business.”   “You’re such a condescending asshole, you know that?”   Yoongi stops folding his shirt and shuts the drawer. His expression is impassive and it irritates you more. “Pot meets kettle.”   “For someone who’s supposedly quiet, you fucking never know how to shut up.”   “Can’t you just calm down, Y/N? Unlike what you think, I’m not trying to get on your nerves. I’m trying to enjoy this trip.”   “Why are you acting like I’m the only one getting upset and that I’m the crazy one,” you spit, and he opens his mouth as if to say you are being crazy. But you don’t let him— “Don’t you dare say it. Fuck you, Yoongi. You don’t think I’m trying to enjoy this too? You think I wanted it to be like this?!”   “Maybe if you weren’t trying to pick a fight with me every goddamn second, you would have a good time, woman.”   “You’re the one who’s always trying to pick a fight with me!”   He sighs, body language dismissive to what you’re saying. “Stop being so upset—”   “Well too bad, I am upset! So just let me be!” You stand on your feet, teeth gritted and fist clenched. You’re practically screaming across the suite but there aren’t any close enough neighbours to complain. “You’re always telling me what I should and shouldn’t feel! This is exactly why we’re getting a divorce!”   With the last word said, you stomp away and the bathroom door slams shut. It’s the only place you can be alone, but even then, the four walls are frosted glass.   …   You’re not sure who brought up divorce first. It’s not like it matters. But one thing you do know is that it came up in an argument. A jab where someone’s sole intention was to hurt. And the other person stubbornly retaliated with ‘fine, have it your way’.   You remember calling your lawyer and him calling his. The process continued and continued and as it did, so did your arguments as the two of you realized no one was going to stop it. It became more painful the more time that went on. Clearly, it meant he was serious about it. Clearly, he didn’t care if he was happy to sign divorce papers. So you made yourself not care too.   And it continued to snowball like that.   Before you knew it, you were telling your families that the divorce was happening, much to their distress. Before you knew it, here you were.   By the time you get out of the bathroom, Yoongi’s gone.   He probably left for some peace and quiet. After all, it’s volatile when you’re together. It’s not like you want it to be that way, it just became that way. What sucks the most is that you know he’s right. You’re part to blame for the recent argument. You got too worked up unnecessarily. You’re constantly on the defensive as if he’s out to attack you. And once it’s quiet, you hate that you shouted.   But he has his own part to blame too. Yoongi knows how to get under your skin. He knew he was egging you on and he didn’t stop. So it escalated and escalated.   You end up wandering the resort by yourself. You enjoy the sunset on the beach and when the dinner buffet is open, you sit alone with your plate, staring out into the empty abyss of the ocean shrouded in darkness. All around you, there are families and lovers, jovial music that’s inviting.   Yet you feel isolated in the crowd.   You try to move around, preoccupy yourself.    But the last thing you expect is to see Yoongi. Across the bar. With a pretty, young girl on his arm. A sun-kissed blonde, to be specific. Wearing a crop top with booty shorts.    Yoongi’s nursing a whisky on the rocks, his usual drink, as she grasps onto his bicep. The swell of her breasts are practically pushed onto him. She says something and he smiles.   At the same time, something boils in the pit of your stomach. It’s pure, unadulterated rage.   Before you know it, you’ve turned on your heel and beelined to the hotel lobby bar. You call yourself hard liquor and down the drink as you seethe. The image of him and that Barbie doll is seared into your mind, flashing beneath your eyelids each time you blink.   The liquid burns and tears pool into your eyes, but you hold them back.   The bar is busy, filled of guests constantly ordering, so no one notices that you keep downing bitter drinks until there’s a tap on your shoulder—   “Aloha.” A concerned employee looms over you. “Is everything alright?”   That’s when you realize you’ve been drinking by yourself for three full hours. The table’s crowded with glasses and the ones on the edge are a centimeter away from falling over.   You end up waving him away and stumbling back to the room.   The world is teetering and you try to lean onto the wall for balance. It’s a miracle that you pressed the right number on the elevator when everything was swirling together. Or at least, you’re pretty sure this is the right floor.   You pound on the door. “Yoongiiiiii! Yoongiii! Open up!”   When there’s no response, you mutter ‘asshole’. Then your eye peels open and you realize you’ve been knocking against the door of the ice and vending machine room. You turn on your heel and careen to the next door.   “Yooongiiii!” you whine his name in exasperation, cheek pressed against the smooth surface.   You only have to call out twice before the door’s suddenly swinging open and you’re falling into the arms of your (soon-to-be ex-) husband. “‘Bout time. Was waiting foreverrr!”   “Fuck.” Yoongi’s nose scrunches at the smell of alcohol and he grabs a hold of your shoulders, pulling you away from him, nose scrunched at your smell. He keeps you at a safe distance as if you were nervous middle-schoolers at your first dance. You hate it. Why can’t he just hug you? “God, how much did you drink, Y/N?”   “Dunno. Lost my key card.”   “What?”   The door swings shut.   “Are you banging a chick in our room?” you slur, trying to keep your eyes open to look at him. He was already changed into his soft pajamas, a blue checkered print that made him look so much cuter. It’s unfair. “Am I interrupting?”   His brows cinch together, lips turning down. Yoongi’s visibly confused. “Ban—”   “Saw you talkin’ to that pretty girl at the bar,” you huff, wobbling back and forth.   He’s dumbfounded. “Who?”   “Don’t play stupid!” You poke his chest with your finger. “That lil girl who looks like a model!”   Yoongi winces at the volume of your voice and you add in frustration, “I’ll leave if you are, so just tell me already.”   “No, I’m not sleeping with anyone, Y/N.” Yoongi fixes his arm around your waist to keep you balanced and he sighs, reaching down to help you take off your shoes. “So much for knowing how to pace yourself, Y/N,” he mumbles with a faint smile on his lips instead of the annoyance you’re used to.   Yoongi loops your arm around his neck and begins to guide you towards the bed. But you stop, making your legs deadweight and you turn to him, staring into his eyes so deep, it’s like you’re looking into his soul. It’s pretty.   “What?” he asks, almost uncomfortable by your intense gawking.    “Do you not love me anymore?”   “What?”   “Just tell me, goddammit. Do you have no feelings towards me no more?” You pound your chest with your free hand. Yoongi plops you onto the love seat when he sees that you have no plans of making it to the bed. “Did everything mean nothin’ to you?”   He remains silent.   You angrily shout— “Answer me!”   Yoongi flinches. “God, Y/N. You don’t need to scream, I’m right next to you.” He sighs and drags a hand over his face. “If it meant nothing to me, do you think I’d be taking care of you right now? Now sit here and wait.”   With his dictatorial command wielded with his low voice, you pout but obey.    Yoongi returns a minute later with your pajamas in one hand and a cool glass of water in the other. “Drink this. And all of it.”   You nurse the glass of water with two hands and get a sip in. But your pout persists and before you know it, you’re bursting into tears. Yoongi all but freezes.   “’m sorry,” you sob, “I didn’t wanna fight.”   “Y/N.”   “I don’t mean to be so mad! I’m sorry.”   Yoongi kneels in front of you with a long sigh. “It’s okay, Y/N,” he coaxes and tugs the sleeve of his shirt to wipe the beads of teardrops trekking down your cheeks. “I know you didn’t mean it.”   “Really?”   “Yes. If anything….I’m sorry too,” Yoongi mumbles solemnly and before you can react, he’s already moved on. “Now drink your water.”   You cry into your glass, but you down the entire thing like he said and your crying stops by the end.   “Arms up,” Yoongi commands and you listen to him. He peels off your shirt in one single swoop and tosses it aside. He helps you put on your pajama top without blinking an eye and pulls the hem of your leggings to replace those as well. Yoongi even takes a damp washcloth to wipe your face and you watch him the entire time. His lashes are long, and Yoongi’s so nice and reliable. “Let's get you to bed, alright?”   You nod, and he guides you to it, having cleared the rose petals earlier. “So you didn’t sleep with her?”   “No.”   “Why not? She was hot!”   “I wasn’t interested.”   “Really?”   “Really,” Yoongi assures as he sets you to sit on the edge of the mattress. He moves to pull the sheets and struggles with how tucked in they are. In the meanwhile, you get the greatest idea you’ve ever had—   “Then fuck me instead before you fuck her.”   “What?”   Yoongi’s entire body goes rigid and he whips his head towards you with eyes that nearly bulge out of their sockets. You pout at him. “I wanna suck your dick and feel it in me, Yoongi. I miss it. When we used to have sex. It was so good.”   “Oh, you are so drunk.” He chuckles, a sound that sounds so nice you wish you can hear it forever and ever. “You’re going to be so embarrassed when you wake up tomorrow, Y/N.”   Yoongi pulls the sheet and is about to get you tucked in. But you steal the opportunity when he gets close and you loop your arms around his neck. “No, I’m not.” Your voice drops into a whisper. “Remember when you used to spit in my mouth? And you liked it sooo much.” You giggle when you notice his ears becoming hot and red. “You still like it now, don’t you, you nasty freak!”   You smack him on the shoulder in the midst of your bubbling laughter and he winces.    “Ow!”   “Imagine if I got pregnant from it too!” you add in your hysterics.   “Let’s not.”   “I always thought our kids would be so cute. Especially if they got your cheeks.” You reach and tug on Yoongi’s cheeks while giggling. He lets you have your fun, staying still and letting you squish his face together. And in your drunken state, you don’t realize how tender his eyes become.   “We’re getting a divorce, Y/N.”   You frown. “Why on earth would we do that?”   “Because,” he murmurs.   “Let’s not,” you slur. “Can’t we cancel it?”   It goes quiet with Yoongi gazing into your eyes. “Do you even know what you’re saying?”   “Yeah.” You grow sheepish. “Aren’t you supposed to get a divorce if you hate each other?”   “That’s how it works generally.” Yoongi stands and gently presses on your shoulder to lay you down. The pillows feel soft underneath your head and he starts to tug the covers up to your chin.   “But I don’t hate you. I care a loooooot about you.” You sulk. “Otherwise, why’d I get jealous when I saw you at the bar?”   The corner of his mouth tugs. “So you’re admitting you were jealous?”   “Wouldn’t you get jealous if you saw me with someone else?”   Yoongi thinks about it. “Maybe.”   “Maybe?”   He finally admits, “Yeah, I’d be pretty pissed.”   You hum contently, lids becoming uncontrollably heavier. You want to stay up. It’s so much fun talking to Yoongi. It feels like forever since you talked to him like this. But you’re so tired. And comfortable. You want him to cuddle and spoon you to sleep. Yoongi cuddles are the best.   “Yooongiiii.”   You call out to him with your eyes closed.   “Yeah?”   “I think—” You go dead quiet and after three seconds, he thinks you’ve fallen asleep, but then your mouth moves again. “—I loooove you.” A beat later, your two arms suddenly raises up into the air. Hands measuring about a ruler stick length. “This much.”   He snorts and turns off the lamp. “Go to sleep, Y/N.”   …   When you wake up the next morning, your head is absolutely pounding.   For the first time, you detest how much light the damn room lets in. You also curse aging and having to suffer hangovers when five years ago, you were perfectly unscathed the next day after drinking.   Luckily, there’s advil on the bedside with a tall glass of water and you down the entire thing after taking a pill. You’re not so sure where these came from, but your answer is across the room.   Yoongi, realizing you’re awake, has an amused smile on his face and his brow cocked. More importantly, his eyes have somehow softened.   You groan, remembering last night. Every detail. Every word. Like a film that could be played back. It’s mortifying and even without your obvious reaction, Yoongi’s been with you long enough to know how superb your memory is even after being wasted. He knows you know.   And the worst part?    You meant it all.

han seojun sleepover headcanons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
listen to what to do (feat mark) by henry.
˗ˋˏ author’s note ˎˊ˗
come and get your seojun love and appreciation. this one is for @seojunly who asked for sleepover hcs! 🤗 imagine sleepovers with the one and only han seojun who happens to be your childhood bestie. i focused more on 20s ver seojun but there are also flashbacks to childhood and high school days. it ended up being a hybrid of both scenario and headcanon. enjoy!
sleepovers are actually almost a weekly occurrence. most of the times it’s not really planned. you hang out with each other and suddenly it’s too late to leave and you are forced to crash. (also seojun just flat out refuses to let you leave after a certain hour, he would try to make you stay or he will walk you all the way to your apartment, there is no in-between)
even if it’s something that happens this often, don’t think for one minute that seojun is not losing his mind over it. you are best friends, right? it’s normal right? but when you fall asleep on him while watching netflix? when you cuddle closer and hug him? his soul leaves his body and he never had to urge himself to keep his self-control more.
when you were younger you used to have sleepovers all the time as well, but when it was at his house his little sister was in the picture and it was more like a hangout than anything. and gowoon liked you as her sister and wanted to spend time with you so he was often third-wheeling and sulking in the corner.
it doesn’t help that you are so unaware of his struggles. you unknowingly make his brain turn off every time you lean over him for something or put your hand on his thigh to support yourself. whenever your hands meet in the bowl with popcorn you turn to him and smile, sometimes he annoys you and holds your hand but you think nothing of it because he loves to tease you - but he is spazzing out about holding your hand.
if you order pizza he always leaves the bigger pieces to you and even has less and gives you the last one, because he loves seeing you enjoy your food.
he can actually make a lot of dishes and flexes that anytime you come over because you are only ever confident in instant ramen as to not set fire to your kitchen (you are just more of a baker, which he doesn’t mind because he has a sweet tooth and when it’s made by you? his heart is sold.)
it depends on how tired you are, but sometimes you keep dishes overnight and sometimes you do them together and it does feel homely. working in sync and moving around each other with a practised sense of familiarity. you jam out together to your favorite songs but more often than not you stop singing and listen to him with a smile. when he notices he is a little bashful and pokes your forehead telling you to “not slack off”.
when you were little, you used to be afraid of the dark and even had this small light, but even then you sometimes couldn’t fall asleep and seojun noticed that and would tuck you in really tight. (“no monsters can get you now, i will fight them off for you.”) you giggled and held out your hand to him shyly. he got so used to holding your hand while you dozed off that it was weird when he slept on his own.
he likes to tease you about it now that you are older. asking if you need his hand to sleep comfortably, resulting in getting whacked by a pillow.
maybe you have a toothbrush at seojun’s because you do this so often and it makes him smile every time he sees it. he makes faces at you through the mirror when you brush your teeth and hopes it will make you laugh and often you almost choke because when it doesn’t work he is not above tickling you. (he is a bully sometimes.)
when you were in high school he would always make you sleep in his bed and take the couch instead. but now when he’s all grown up with bigger bed it’s always quite a fight. with you telling him it’s okay, you can fit. and him being like? i’m a guy, how can you be so calm with sharing a bed?
and it’s like a lightbulb is lit and you realise. it’s not like you don’t see his visual, because how could you not? it’s more like … you try to overlook it to stop having thoughts that are not in childhood friend spectrum. things about how squishy he looks when he wakes up with his bedhead and puffy cheeks. how his voice gets deeper when he greets you in the morning. how he definitely put on some muscle when you end up leaning on him and maybe you walked in on him once or twice when he was changing his t-shirt. you try not to think about him borrowing you his clothes to sleep in, because you shouldn’t be thinking that! he is your best friend!
it ends up with him on the couch again, regretting having morals and staying away. but maybe one day you drink a little too much because your friend was celebrating getting promoted and she makes you drink to loosen up. it goes on for longer than it should’ve and seojun being the worrywart he is ends up calling you to check up on you. when you answer all giddy and giggly he knows right away you are in no condition to walk home. he wheedles the location out of your drunk self and tells you to stay put.
he shows up out of breath because he ran most of the time, too nervous you might try to meet him halfway and end up getting lost on the way. after he literally picks you up (walking is not an option with your level of intoxication) and piggybacks you home he is ready to tuck you in and be on his way, but… you end up holding him back. “can you hold my hand? i’m scared.”
seojun’s heart does a flip and he gulps so loud it echoes through the apartment. “are you scared of the dark again?” he wants to tease but holds out his hand anyway and you grab it happily and you shake your head no to his question. confused he asks what is that you’re scared of then. and the answer shakes him up to his core.
“i’m scared you might end up hating me.” you take a deep breath, looking away. “for liking you more than a friend.” after that you end up knocking out and he is just sitting there with his free hand on his face as if it could stop the blush. he let’s out a sigh, whispering “you are so unfair.” while tucking a strand of hair behind your ear and lying down next to you.
you wake up with a massive hangover, but that almost doesn’t register because you are tucked into someone’s arms and you can’t remember anything. you panic for a split second before you recognize seojun’s face few centimetres away from your own. his eyes flutter open as if he sensed you waking up. and you expect him to pull away and apologize (this did happen sometimes when you both actually fell asleep in the same bed or on the couch and usually he jumped out of the bed faster than you could say his name). this time he doesn’t move, only gives you this unnerving stare that a man who just woke up shouldn’t be able to muster.
“do you remember anything?” you try to ignore the close contact and keep your cool, racking your brain for answers. you remember your friend pouring you drinks and remember laughing when your favorite song came on before you realized it’s your ringtone. you remember seojun’s voice and how he smelled like he came straight out of the shower, you remember almost falling off his back when you thought you saw a stray cat and tried to jump off. you remember your head hitting the pillow and… oh god, your face goes red.
“did...did i really make you hold my hand?” seojun nods. “and… is there any hope you didn’t actually hear me say that .. thing?” seojun chuckles, enjoying his upper hand.
“i could never hate you, you dumbass. i’m in the same boat.” that takes a while to register in your hangover state. but seojun doesn’t give you the time. he kisses your forehead and holds you closer.
“now we don’t have to fight over sleeping in one bed anymore. i’ve always slept the best with you next to me anyway.”

Note
Sometimes, when sunny visits kels house for a sleepover, (or just anyones house except for basils) the host would always wake up to:
A missing sunny (who is most likely in some weird ass place like the roof)
A sunny that it staring at you from the foot of the bed or beside it
A sunny that stares from the doorway (he stares alot)
Or
A sunny that is playing bo en my time at an unreasonable hour but at a reasonable volume (or vise versa)
Alright so a different nonnie also sent me “How many times do you think sunny scares people by staring at them from the foot of the bed / beside them when they wake up?” So I’m....combining these two XD Also if you guys like....resend things can you say they’re a resend LOL bc if I have another Cho double take situation I’m going to backflip into the sun. Also don’t resend more than twice (i’m gonna be putting that in my bio bc....yeah don’t do it makes me anxious D:)
Okay mini housekeeping thing aside! This got long it’s under a read more because it’s long, but it’s full of shenanigans, sleepovers, and our local fave cryptid Sunny
I’m going to focus this in on post-canon, because I think that Sunny’s ultimate cryptid energy flows forth in his teen years. Also I really want to include the hooligans in on this (I’m...love them)
So pre-canon Sunny and Mari’s house was the go to location for their group of six. They were almost always there, but there was some unspoken rules.
You called before you came over (Only Kel didn’t follow this rule, but he always knocked and waited patiently at the door) and you had to be invited to stay for dinner. If not you went home when Sunny’s mom called a fifteen minute warning before dinner. There was also no arguing within the house. If there was an issue that needed to be addressed, Mari and Sunny’s parents would immediately send everyone home.
Post-canon Mari is gone and the house has been sold. Hero and Kel’s house becomes the go to hang out house after that. Their house is nearly night and day to Mari and Sunny’s
Mari and Sunny’s house was always neat and tidy and very quiet. Their parents generally left the TV off and didn’t use the radio, so unless one of the two children were making noise, everything would be silent. Kel and Hero’s house is in constant motion and activity. Sally is usually either babbling or screaming, music is always playing on the radio, and their main form of communication is friendly yelling at one another. Kel and Hero’s house also has an open door policy- anyone can walk in at anytime and they all know where the spare keys are hidden.
Post-canon I see a quick friendship building between Aubrey’s gang and Basil Sunny and Kel. Hero enjoys them all, but it’s not really his scene now that he’s spent a year or so at college. He will get brought along for some adventures, and he’s always up for hanging around the house with them, but when it gets to be a bigger group he prefers to just let them have fun.
When it’s just his four kids, Hero is always a part of the group though.
OKAY ALL OF THAT BUILDUP ASIDE LETS GET TO THE ACTUAL POINT OF THIS ASK
So this is when school is in session and Hero is back at college. Kel tells Aubrey that Sunny is coming up for the long weekend, and they should all do a sleepover at his house like old times. She agrees and they arrange it with Basil. Kim overhears their plans and she has FOMO so she arranges herself to be there when they tell Basil
Normally Kel makes it a point to try and include Aubrey’s friends (who are slowly just becoming friends) but this time he just pretends she isn’t there and tells Basil to come right after school and they can drive together to get Sunny.
Kim weedles it out of Aubrey later that day when they’re alone in gym class. The reason that they didn’t immediately invite her and the others? Sunny is apparently weird at night
Kim fires back that Sunny is always a little weird, but Aubrey is being fully serious. Unfortunately all that does is make Kim more curious. She goes to find Kel afterward and half asks/half demands an invitation to the sleepover. Kel seems a little awkward about her involving herself, but he agrees that she and the others can join in if they like.
Aubrey and the others arrive
Kim soon finds out that Aubrey was 100% right. Sunny is...weird at night.
At around 10:00 pm, Sunny disappears. Basila nd Aubrey went into the kitchen to make popcorn, and Kel was busy fiddling with the TV to get the movie to start. When he turns back to the couch, he asks where Sunny is. They realize Sunny has vanished.
Aubrey and Basil come in with the bowls of snacks, and Kel asks them if they’ve seen Sunny. Basil says to check the roof.
The roof. The hooligans all laugh (Basil is a sweet kid when you get to know him, but his nerves make even his jokes strange) The other three don’t laugh. In fact Kel gets up and goes to the door.
The hooligans follow out bewildered, and Sunny is o n t h e r o o f. CASUALLY. JUST THERE PETTING AN ORANGE CAT WHO IS LOUNGING PURRING NEXT TO HIM. AND KEL AND AUBREY AND BASIL DONT REACT??? Kel just waves?? and Sunny waves back???
“We’re gonna watch Insidious now, I know you haven’t seen that one before. Wanna come in?” “Kay” “Do you want to bring your cat in with you? I’ll put Hector on his leash” “Yes please”
Then the three just walk back and tell the hooligans to follow them in. Sunny got himself up so Sunny can get himself down.
It’s only the beginning of the madness. Sunny walks in holding the still purring orange cat and settles himself down in his specific corner of the couch (They were prewarned not to sit in Sunny’s spot) Aubrey cuts Kim off before she can ask about the roof, and starts the movie. Kim looks over at the cat, and it locks eyes on her, hissing.
The movie begins and Sunny will randomly speak but only to say when a character is going to die/be scared. Right before it happens. Every single time. Didn’t Kel say before that he hadn’t seen this movie?? It doesn’t matter Sunny keeps going
A ghost. A ghost. Lost in an alternate dimension by shamanic journey. It’s bizarre. The cat continues to purr a rusty old engine noise in Sunny’s lap, periodically looking at one of the hooligans and hissing, choosing a different one every time. Who’s cat is that????
They finish the movie and start to play board games. They pick monopoly and decide to divvy up into teams. Kim immediately claims Aubrey, Vance decides to go with Kel and Kel grabs Mikhael to create a trio. Charlie and Sunny silently sit beside each other, and everyone assumes that makes them a team. Angel pulls Basil to his side and they’re prepped to play the game.
Kim likes to consider herself a pretty good monopoly player, and Aubrey is a whiz with money and numbers, so she assumes they have this in the bag.
She did not account for the Sunny factor.
Sunny stares her down through the entire time. Kim is sure he doesn’t blink. She forgets to bid on auctions for properties and gives him extra rent money. They go bankrupt first, and Sunny turns his eye onto Kel who just laughs and gives Sunny finger guns. Sunny finger guns back (his face still a blank slate) and proceeds to also take all of Kel’s money.
They go to bed shortly after, and Kim is relieved. Nothing also weird can happen. Now she just has to sleep.
She wakes up in the middle of the night and adjust her position, turning over to face the other side of teh room. Four shining eyes stare back at her, catching the dim light from the kitchen. Kim shakily grabs her phone and turns on the flashlight, whirling around to see Sunny staring at her, his orange cat on top of his head.
She wakes all the rest of them with her shriek of terror. The group of four quickly settle to sleep once more, even Sunny crashing down next to Aubrey and Basil. hissing cat caught firmly in his arms.
She and the other hooligans stay up for a bit, frantically whispering about the oddness of the situation. They resolve to leave early in the morning, and to distance themselves as much as they can from...whatever Sunny is. They’re certainly glad he doesn’t go to their school anymore.
The next morning, the group of four wake up before the hooligans and cook a big breakfast. They put the phone on speaker and chat with Hero as they do so, catching up on his latest college stories. Bo en is playing from the cd player in the corner of the kitchen, kept low so as not to wake the others.
The hooligans creep downstairs and peer inside. The scene is shockingly...normal.
Sunny is still carrying his cat, but now Kel is feeding it tiny bits of bacon and it is stretching out of Sunny’s arms to reach the next delicious morsel. He’s chatting with Hero over the phone, speaking in full long sentences which is a rarity for Sunny. He even laughs quietly at a joke Hero tells.
Kim tries to translate the horror she felt last night into this morning, but it’s not there. Sunny doesn’t seem like an eldritch horror during the day. Just another teenager happy to be with people he enjoys.
Hero hangs up shortly after, and the group of four settle back into a placid silence. Aubrey breaks it by turning to the others
“I know it was weird, but I’m glad that they came for last night.” the three boys agree, and Sunny leans against the counter near Aubrey so she can scratch one hand under his cat’s neck while still flipping pancakes. When he speaks, his voice is near silent, but they all hear it anyway.
“They’re nice. They didn’t treat me different.”
The hooligans share a look and simultaneously agree to stay for breakfast.

summary: life is sometimes not good, but your fave boy makes it just a little easier to deal with (with some original help from his brother too)
a bit angsty but i promise mainly fluff (and a popcorn fight?)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What drew you out of the sort-of-trance was a two soft but firm knocks at the door - well Tom’s bedroom door. You’d been relaxing with him and Harry, watching the new ‘Line of Duty’ when your mum had called for the daily catch up. Admittedly, she had already tried to call you twice today but somehow you’d managed to miss both of them. On reflection, possible not that shocking because you’d been at a charity golf day with the boys which involved a fair amount of noise, chat and competition.
Thankfully the boys had both done pretty well, Tom coming slightly ahead but that was the norm between the two. It meant they were both happily basking in their relative victories and not moody and grumpy like they are oh so often when things go wrong. Because to them, against your pleading, begging and sometimes lecturing…. golf was not just a game.
You and your mum had always been very close, so usually speaking to her was uplifting and made you feel a little bit more complete - what with travelling with Tom for work, her voice was a slice of home. This time though, it was not so much the case. It was just sad news about your home town. Nothing directly to your family or close friends but still, it makes you feel generally down.
Who knows how long it’d been since you’d hung up on the phone, just staring at the wall opposite. Everything felt just hollow and empty, lacking in meaning somewhat. You weren’t necessarily thinking, more like devoid of emotion, of thoughts, of anything. Just a bit cold.
“Y/n…Y/n?” His voice sounded hesitant, as though scared he was interrupting your call. When you didn’t respond, the door cracked open and his fluffy head poked in, not that you noticed - your brain was still half absent. Tom on the other hand, was instantly looking you up and down, very much confused as the why you looked so rigid and not present. Noticing the phone was lying quiet on the bed in front of you, he felt safe to enter. He made a beeline for the bed, perching himself down on the edge, in-front of you - so he was blocking your fascinating view of the grey wall opposite.
“What’s going on in that little head of yours?” His voice was soft and gravely, choosing not to put much energy into his vocal box as he rubbed up and down one of your arms.
“Hmmm? Sorry, was miles away.”
“Could tell darl.” As he chuckled his eyes crinkled round the outside. “How was your mum?”
“Yeh…um okay, I-I guess.” As much as you wanted to shake yourself out of it, it just wasn’t that easy. Everything was laced with this underlying chilliness.
“You sure? You dont really sound it?”
“No, I um…well I’m not sure. I think I’m okay?”
“What happened?” You shook your head in response, making Tom press his lips together with a small nod. “ Don’t wanna talk about it huh?”
“Not… not right now. Please?”
With a permitting nod, Tom stood up and squeezed your hand, urging you to follow. Trailing behind him into the living room, he then instructed you to take a seat on the sofa adjacent to Harry, Tom himself disappearing back into the house. It made you pout a little, you wanted him to just look after you a little this evening but that self pity wasn’t allowed to last long - because a piece of popcorn flew into your cheek. You whipped your head around, with mouth open feigning shock, to see Harry smirking at you cradling a bowl full of other possible missiles in hand.
“And what was that for?” He shrugged his shoulders, turning his head back to the TV.
“You looked sad.”
“…” Your mouth was open, no words coming out though, as you looked at the frizzy haired boy in bemusement. Sometimes you thought you understood how his head worked but at other points, the boy was a bloody mystery. Instead of explaining his thought process (because there almost certainly wasn’t one), he just smiled evily at you - wiggling his brows. And I know you know what that meant.
Sure enough by the time Tom reentered the room, arms full with different objects he’d collected round the house, the floor had been littered with popcorn kernels. You and Harry were squealing at each other as handfuls of the snack were catapulted vaguely at each other as you chased him round the room. It took Tom shouting at the both of you for you to freeze, slowly lowering your hands in ceasefire with a giggle.
“I leave you alone for two minutes.”
“ It was his fault!” You protested, causing a 5 minute of ‘ he said-she said’ between the two of you, even if Tom wasn’t listening to the bickering. Instead, he quickly whizzed round the room picking up all the obvious popcorn bits and then spread out all the blankets he’d got from round the rented house on the sofa.
 You knew Harry, in his very own and special way, was only doing all this to cheer you up and you couldn’t appreciate it more. Your relationship with him had recently got so much closer, thanks to Tom being busy on set actually filming - while you and Harry just had some quality ‘almost sibling’ times. And now living with him too - naturally he had grown to know your tells almost as well as Tom.
“Alright children calm down… thought we could watch movie?” Plopping himself down on the cream seat, Tom made grabby hands to you which of course you had to comply with.
“I’ll um… I’m gonna leave you to- well to the being in love shit. It’ll make me chunder”
“We love you too bro” Tom called to Harry, who was already on his way out - but the tone of gratefulness in his voice was evident, he appreciated Harry noticing that the two of you could do with time together.
“Don’t make it weird!” Harry’s response had you sniggering, as you pulled the fluffiest blanket over both you and Tom and nestling into his side.
After a few minutes of Tom pretending to argue with you about film choice, before ultimately agreeing with your choice of ‘La la land’ as he always planned on letting you. The Holland boys were both very talented at subtly being a shoulder if needed, and yes you knew it was all an act - but you weren’t about to call him out. About halfway through he kissed the crown of your head and murmured. “Can tell you’re not watching darling.” He wasn’t wrong to be fair. Yes, you were looking at the screen - but your mind was far away from the plot line.
“Sorry I um… minds like a runaway train sometimes.” Tom released a breathy chuckle at that before murmuring a ‘come ‘ere’ to you as he all but lifted you up from sitting by his side. You ended up lying almost onto of him, with both of Tom’s strong arms holding you tightly to him. Smiling into his chest, you nestled closer so the soundtrack to the movie played over the top of his constant thudding heartbeat. It took a few moments of you both just staring into the screen, completely contented for Tom to speak, squeezing you slightly tighter whilst the two of you watched Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone twirling on the road.
“I gotchu now lovie”
And you swore then that all the thoughts racing in your mind were outpaced by those of a different kind. Still intense ideas, ones that buzzed round your brain, but these were happy. Thoughts of ‘how could I be so lucky’ and ‘I love this man with my whole heart’.
Apparently these thoughts were also a comfort because when Tom looked down at you after what must’ve been at least half an hour, you were spark out. Breathing deep and unchanging, eye locked shut and mouth slightly squashed against his chest so your lips were pressed together. But what made the boy physical pout was the way you relaxed hand was loosely balled round a fistful of his purple hoodie. As if you were clutching at him to keep him as close to you as possible.
He felt so grateful - not only for you, but also for the fact that he had the ability to make it a little better. You didn’t need him - Tom swore you were one of the most fiercely independent people he’d ever met - yet it was clear you wanted him. You wanted him when you felt down, the same way you wanted to be around him when you were overly hyper and chatting pure rubbish. You didn’t want him because he was the ‘Tom Holland’ you wanted him because he was Tom.
He couldn’t fix what was going on back at your home (I mean right now, he still didnt even know what was going on). But he did know how to make everything just a little less shit. He knew how to be your person.
And that would forever be job Tom was most proud of.
once again sending u all lots of love (esp u anon 💕)
would love to know what u guys think if ya made it this far ;)
The bottle of wine on your counter looks more and more enticing as it grows closer to 6:30. You, Connie, and Lorena all had the luck of having this Friday off, and Connie had decided that a celebration was in order, inviting the two of you to her apartment. You’re excited: it’s a night with two of your favorite people in all of Colombia, and you finally get to meet Steve, who you’ve heard plenty about from both Javier and Connie.
As the hour draws closer, you decide to head over a little early. You and Connie had compared addresses and found that the two of you lived fairly close to each other, and you set out on your walk.
When you reach the building, you walk inside and knock on the door with the number Connie told you. The door opens and reveals a tall man with blonde hair and blue eyes- you think he could be Connie’s brother, you almost chuckle to yourself. “Hey,” the man says, a light southern drawl evident in his tone. “Connie, one of ‘em’s here,” he calls out into the apartment before letting you come in. “I’m Steve, nice to meet ya,” he says with a smile.
You introduce yourself and he nods, noting that the name is familiar. Connie rushes out, excitedly smiling as she sees you. “Hey!” she practically squeals, rushing to hug you before taking the bottle of wine you hold and setting it on the counter. “Well, you’ve met Steve now,” she chuckles, nodding at him, and he nods back. “He’s just going to be hanging around tonight.”
“Might get a beer with Javier,” he tells her, and she shrugs.
“Might as well. Just stay out of our way,” she threatens, a sweet smile on her face opposing her tone, but she laughs quickly. It’s simply the way the two of them interact, you can tell, and it’s kind of cute.
“Do you mind if I use your bathroom quick?” You ask, and Connie nods.
“Oh, of course. It’s just down there and to the left,” she tells you, and you follow her directions.
As you sit on the toilet, you can hear them talking. You ignore it until you hear Javier’s name mentioned again, catching your attention.
Connie’s voice is muffled but clearly giddy. “That’s the one, Javier’s girl,” she tells him, and you can hear Steve give a little chuckle.
“She’s cute.” “She’s not just cute, she’s gorgeous,” Connie laments. “Has Javi talked about her?” “Nope.”
“You’re probably just too thick to even notice if he did anyway.” “Hey! And no, he hasn’t mentioned anything about her. I already mock him enough for his tastes. He likes her though, that much is clear. And he hasn’t even slept with her yet- impressive for him. That must take some self control for Jav.”
That makes you warm a little on the inside. He’s into you. You feel like a teenager, and you cover your mouth with your hand as you give out a little giggle.
There’s a knock at the door moments later, and you can hear Lorena’s voice ringing through the apartment. You finish up in the bathroom and grin at the sight you return to: Connie and Lorena, in casual clothing, holding glasses of wine with a third one at the counter for you. The three of you chatter for a little, slowing it down for Lorena. She’s not a fantastic English speaker, but she’s fluent enough, and Connie isn’t great at Spanish.
A few minutes later, Steve grabs a six-pack of beers from the fridge and heads towards the door. “Heading to Javi’s,” he tells Connie, kissing her head as he passes your little group.
He opens the door, and you find it strange that the beer is all that he’s carrying. “No coat?” You ask, tilting your head a little.
“We should get you in the DEA. We need observant people. Everyone around there walks with their heads up their asses,” he chuckles and opens the door. “No,” he says and looks at Connie, as if asking why you don’t know. She shrugs and he shrugs back. “Javi lives just downstairs, apartment beneath us. Holler if you need anything,” he tells Connie and closes the door behind him.
“Javier lives downstairs?” you ask, eyes widening and heart fluttering at the idea that you’re in such close proximity to him. “Steve is DEA?” Lorena asks, big eyes widening like yours did.
Connie is suddenly feeling bombarded, her pale face flushing with a little red. “Uh, yeah. To both. You really didn’t know that, Lori?”
“You said he was a janitor!”
“Lori, they don’t send people from the U.S. down to Colombia just to be a janitor,” you tell her with a gentle chuckle. Lorena is innocent and naive, you and Connie both know that, but you’d figured growing up in Colombia during Escobar’s reign of terror would’ve made her at least somewhat more knowledgeable. “I just believed what you told me,” she murmurs and sips her glass of wine.
-
Javier cracks a beer open and immediately takes a swig. “Connie’s never been one for girls nights, has she?” he asks Steve. He usually comes down here if there’s a fight between the two of them, or if Connie’s working the graveyard shift and he needs a drinking partner, but a girls night hasn’t been a reason yet.
Steve shakes his head and opens his beer too. “Nope, not really. She’s got two new best friends now, looks like. One of them is that American girl she works with,” he says and raises an eyebrow, raising his bottle to his lips to take a drink. He says your name, drawing it out and watching Javier’s expression.
Javi sighs, though the thought of you being in the room above him is exciting. “We’ve been over this, Stephen. You can’t mess with me the way you think you can.”
“Yes I can, Jav,” he chuckles and kicks back on Javier’s couch, turning on the television. Javier sits down next to him with a bowl of popcorn, sighing and shaking his head. As the football match plays out in front of them, Javier’s mind keeps drifting to the apartment above him. He wonders what you’re wearing: he’s only ever seen you, but he’s thought about how you’d look in a nice dress, in jeans, in nothing at all and splayed out in his bed- stop, Javier, he has to remind himself. Focus on the football game, and pray that Steve needs something from upstairs.
-
As Connie gets up to get another bottle of wine, she picks up a bottle of whiskey sitting on the counter. “Damn. Steve was gonna give this to Javier tonight,” she says with a frown. It immediately forms a smile as she turns to you. “Why don’t you bring it down there for them?” She asks you, grinning ear to ear.
“Yes, I think they need it,” Lorena chimes in, nudging your shoulder with hers.
You shake your head at her proposition, laughing. “Why don’t you bring it down there yourself?” you ask her as you finish your glass of wine, setting it down on the counter and giving her a pointed look.
Connie holds the whiskey out in front of you with a pout, blue eyes wide. “Come on! Don’t you want to see him?” She asks with a giggle, grinning ear to ear. “It’s easy. Tell them I’m making them- ooh, should I make cookies? Then we can get Javier to come up here and get them once they’re done and you can see him, Lori, he’s really cute.”
“I want in on the cookies!” You exclaim, mockingly offended.
“No cookies if you don’t go bring this to Javi,” Connie practically sings and wiggles the bottle in front of your face. “Come on. Just tell him I’ll call down there when they’re ready and he can come get him,” she asks.
You sigh and take the bottle from her. “What, are we 13? Do you want him to admit he has a crush on me?” You ask dryly, standing. “Maybe we can hold hands in the stairwell between classes,” you roll your eyes, though you’re smiling.
The two girls cheer after you as you walk out of the apartment, closing the door behind you and hearing Connie and Lorena giggling, even from the hallway. You walk down to the apartment directly below Steve and Connie’s, taking a deep breath before knocking twice.
The door opens to reveal Javier, wearing a casual button-up shirt and jeans. He looks a bit surprised to see you, but he smiles as he recognizes that it’s you. “Hey,” he chuckles, a hand on his belt loop, the other leaning in the doorway.
“Hi,” you says with a growing smile that matches his.
“I, uh. I like the scrunchie,” he says, gesturing to the cloth that’s holding part of your hair out of your face.
“Thanks,” you say, laughing a little at his compliment. “I like the apartment,” you say, gesturing behind him.
“Thanks,” he says too, looking down at the whiskey in your hands. “Do you want to come in?” He offers, moving in the doorway so that it’s accessible to you.
“Oh, no,” you shake your head and hold out the bottle. “Connie said Steve forgot this, so she sent me down to give it to you. Oh, and she’s making cookies. She said you’ll have to come up and get them when they’re done.”
Steve gets up from the couch, noticing that you’re there. “Damn, that’s right,” he chuckles and takes the bottle from you. “Forgot about that. Thanks for bringing that down. Connie’s a great baker, and I guess she knows about Javier’s sweet tooth,” he says.
You raise an eyebrow at Javier, asking if it’s true. He makes a little dismissive face and shakes his head softly, making you giggle. “Well, I’m gonna head back up. Connie said she’ll call down here when the cookies are ready.” “Thanks for bringing that down,” Steve tells you with a nod, heading into Javier’s kitchen to grab glasses for the liquor.
“Of course. I’ll see you later,” you tell Javier with a smile, and he smiles back and gives you a nod.
You turn away and walk back down the hallway. You don’t turn, but if you did, you’d catch Javier watching you with a dopey smile on his face. His eyes are trained on your ass, how good it looks in those tight jeans you’re wearing.
-
About an hour later, after munching on the leftover cookie dough and about two bottles of wine in, the timer dings on Connie’s oven. She hops up from her spot and heads to the oven, grabbing the treats. You and Lorena both sigh at how good the smell of the freshly-baked dessert is, and Connie comes back with wine bottle number three. “You two open that. I’m going to call down to Javi’s,” she tells you and wiggles her eyebrows, making you roll your eyes at her as you uncork the bottle and pour more for all three of you.
Lorena immediately takes a swig from her newly filled glass, getting up from her spot and stealing a cookie from the tray on the oven. She hums happily as she eats it, walking back to her spot.
Connie chatters on the phone, her tone indicating that she’s clearly talking to Steve. “No, send Javi up,” she whispers, thinking you can’t hear it. You can.
Once she hangs up, she scoops some cookies onto the plates and you and Lorena chat mindlessly, both sipping at your wine glasses. Connie unlocks the front door before returning to the counter and sitting down with the two of you. You continue your conversation from before, taking a bite of a cookie and immediately feeling transported home. Your eyes close as you savor the taste, but they open a moment later as there’s a knock at the door. “It’s open,” Connie calls out, and Javier walks in.
You notice that his jeans are tight, very tight, and bite down on your lip at the image your mind conjures. You give a little wave and he chuckles. “So this is Lorena,” he says as he gestures to the girl sitting between the two of you. She nods, grinning at him, and he walks closer, offering her a hand to shake. “Wonderful to meet you. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about you,” he tells her with a charming smile.
Lorena giggles a little at that, sipping her wine. “Likewise,” she tells him and gestures to you with her head. “Mainly from her.” You roll your eyes but smile as you see the pleased expression on Javier’s face. “Oh, Javi,” Connie says, popping up quick. “I wanted Steve to take pictures for us earlier but I forgot. Will you take them for us?” She asks hopefully, a hand on his arm. He nods and she grins. “Great! I’ll be right back.” She rushes out of the room to grab the camera.
“So how’s it going down there?” You ask him and sip your wine.
“Typical. Steve and I are drinking in silence and watching soccer,” he chuckles, taking a cookie from the plate and biting into it. “Damn, she really is a good baker,” he sighs as he eats the rest of it.
Connie returns a few moments later with her Polaroid. “Okay, get up ladies,” she chuckles and hands Javier the camera. “Take three, so we can each have one.”
“Yes ma’am,” Javier chuckles as the three of you get arranged, tiny, 4’11” Lorena in the middle, you and Connie on either side. You all grin at the camera and Javier takes three successive pictures, with breaks in between for the photos to pop out of the bottom.
As they develop, Connie coos over the pictures even though just your silhouettes are visible at this point. “Oh, you two should get a picture together!” She exclaims with wide eyes as she looks up at you and Javier. Once again, a silent question and answer passes between you: you ask him with a lifted eyebrow, Javier shrugs as if to say ‘why not’ and gives you a smile.
“Sure,” you nod, and Javier hands Connie the camera.
“Okay, I’ll take one for each of you. The first one will be yours, Javi,” she tells him as she positions the two of you then backs up to a distance to take the picture.
You and Javier each have an arm around the other’s waist, and Connie positioned your hand on his chest. As she brings the camera to her eye, you get an idea and grin. Javier’s already smiling for the picture, and you bring your lips to his cheek, pressing a kiss there for the picture. He gives a little chuckle, and you can feel the way it vibrates in his chest with the palm pressed to his heart. “Aw,” Connie laughs as she takes the picture from the slot, and Javier presses a kiss to your head while neither of the women are looking, making your heart melt.
“My turn,” he murmurs to you, and while Connie prepares the camera, he kisses your cheek, wrinkled from the wide smile on your face. Both of the girls coo as Connie takes the picture, and you laugh a little at the way they react.
When both pictures are done, you lightly pat Javier’s chest and break from his arms. You grab the plate of cookies and his Polaroid picture from the table, handing them both to him. “Why thank you,” he chuckles and pulls you into a side hug.
“Are you just being nice to me because the girls are watching?” You ask him teasingly, your arm going around him as well.
“Tonight you’ve given me whiskey and cookies. Of course I’ll be nice to you when you do that,” he teases right back, and you laugh, your head falling into his shoulder.
“Don’t eat them all on the way down,” Connie threatens him. “I do like you more than Steve sometimes, but he’d put me on the first flight back to Miami if he didn’t get any of those cookies,” she says and nods to the plate.
“I’ll try not to,” he says, nodding obediently. Javier squeezes your side gently before breaking away from her. “Nice to meet you, Lorena,” he says again and gives a little wave before heading out of the apartment.
You smile to yourself as you pick up your two photos: one with you and your best friends, one with you and Javier. It really has been a perfect night, you think with a sigh, and munch on another cookie. Little do any of you know how wrong things are about to go.
The President Wears Prada (William Nylander) | Epilogue 3: A Love So Tender
Tumblr media
A/N:  Well, here it is, folks...the last epilogue of The President Wears Prada series.  It’s been a blast.  Like with Alone, Together and The Storm Before the Calm, we’ve created a little community on this blog, except this time we joined together during quarantine and a global pandemic!  I posted the prologue to this April 27th (so right in the thick of it lol) and I’ve been so happy giving you guys something to look forward to every Monday these past eight months!  Keep asking your Willberdeen canon questions forever and ever!
Be on the lookout for the post date of my Brock Boeser mini-series “Peaceful Easy Feeling” -- I’ll announce it and put it on my Masterlist.  Then, I’ll start my next big series!
As always, happy reading :)
March 2034
“Mooooommmmmyyyyyy!  Mommy look!” six-year-old Saoirse Nylander ran through the house to the kitchen where she knew her mom was ready with breakfast.  “Look!  Daddy let me do my own hair!”
Aberdeen looked down at her daughter to see her blonde hair fixed in to a half ponytail…well, a six-year-old’s version of a half ponytail.  Aberdeen smiled down at her daughter.  “Looks good!” she smiled.  “Can I fix it a little bit before we go to Andy and Maia’s house?”
“Can I eat first?” Saoirse asked as Aberdeen heard more footsteps coming down the stairs.
“Of course!  Your oatmeal is right over there,” she nodded her head towards the bowl already set up for her daughter.  As Saoirse moved and climbed into the counter stool to eat, Aberdeen looked to her left to see William enter the room, holding their three-year-old son in his arms.  “My two Williams,” she smiled.
“Mowning mama,” William Jr. said as Willy placed him down in his own stool, his own bowl of oatmeal also ready to go.
William walked around the island and gave Aberdeen a kiss on the cheek before placing his hand on her stomach tenderly.  “Morning, minskatt,” he said before pouring himself some coffee.  He looked back at his kids, eating their oatmeal.  “Are you excited to see Maia, Saoirse?”
“Mhm,” she smiled.  “Can I bring my colouring book so Maia and I can colour?”
“Of course you can!” William smiled.  “You know how much Maia loves to colour with you.”
“When you and mommy get home, I’m gonna have a beeeeeeautiful picture,” Saoirse exclaimed before spooning some more oatmeal into her mouth.
Both Aberdeen and William looked at their fridge, adorned with ripped out pages from colouring books that Saoirse and William Jr. did for them.  “We can’t wait,” Aberdeen smiled.
***
“Mr. and Mrs. Nylander, I know that we’ve confirmed your pregnancy,” Dr. Collinson spoke to the happy couple.
“We needed the tie-breaker,” William joked.
“Indeed,” he chuckled.  “But I must ask you both…have you gone through any fertility treatments that I’m not aware of?  IVF, artificial insemination?”
William and Aberdeen looked at each other before looking back at their doctor – the same doctor who had been there and helped birth Saoirse and William Jr.  “No…” William shook his head.  “We figured we were okay…I mean, with Saoirse’s and William’s pregnancies being pretty easy with no major complications, and the fact that we didn’t have to try for very long before Aberdeen got pregnant…” he trailed off.
Dr. Collinson nodded his head.  “That’s good to know.  Because I do have some further news for you.”
“What’s that?” Aberdeen asked.
“You’re having twins.”
The words hung in the air for an excruciatingly long period of time.  “Excuse me?” Aberdeen asked.
“Twins.  You’re having twins, Mrs. Nylander.”
Aberdeen looked over at William.  “I’m going to cut your penis off.”
***
“TWINS!!!!!” Bee exclaimed, jumping up and down as she hugged Aberdeen.  “Twins, Aberdeen!  Oh my goodness!”
“More Nylanders?” Morgan piped in.  “Christ almighty.”
***
“TWINS?!” Aleida was shocked when Aberdeen told her the news over the phone.  “Twins!”
“Who’s having twins?” Aberdeen could hear Fred’s voice in the background.
“Aberdeen and Will!”
There was a pause.  “More Nylanders?  Good God.”
***
“Twins, William?  You knocked her up with twins?” Jason deadpanned into the phone.
“We’ll have four, just like you,” William said.
“More Nylanders…Jesus Christ.”
***
“Oh!  What fantastic news!” Svea beamed over the FaceTime call.  Elias was smiling beside her.  “You must be so excited, guys.”
“We are.  We joked that we were only supposed to have one tie-breaker though,” Aberdeen said, looking at William beside her briefly.  “Now we’re getting two.”
“Do you know the sexes?”
“Not yet.  In a few weeks they’ll tell us if they’re identical or fraternal, and I think that will be very informational,” William said.
“More Nylanders…” Elias shook his head.  “God help us all.”
***
“This is fantastic news, Aberdeen.  You’re such a great mom already,” Brendan said from across the table, his smile stretching from ear to ear.  “Saoirse and Will Jr – I mean they’re just delights.”
“Thank you, Brendan.  There will be two more to add to the MLSE family room during games.  Not to mention more Nylanders occupying the city of Toronto.”
“More Nylanders…wow.”
***
September 2034
The Toronto Maple Leafs and the entire MLSE organization would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to William Nylander and his wife Aberdeen Bloom on the birth of their twins, Jonas Alexander and Astrid Elina.  Jonas and Astrid join big siblings Saoirse and William Jr.
The First Monday in May, 2036
William looked at Aberdeen lovingly as she touched up her lipstick in the mirror of their hotel room.  She was wearing a beautiful dress, styled to perfection.  He was wearing a suit, tailored to equal perfection.  “You look beautiful, minskatt,” he said, hoping it would calm her down a bit.  He knew she was nervous.
She looked over at him as she clicked shut the lipstick tube.  “We’re going to the Met Gala, Willy,” she said as if it was the first time he’d heard the news.  He’d heard.  He’d heard for months now.  Anna Wintour invited them to the event.  Aberdeen screamed bloody murder when she got the invite.  “We’re going to the Met Gala.”
He giggled slightly.  “I know.  Who would have thought all those years ago two kids who hooked up the night of a graduation would make their way to the Met Gala.”
Aberdeen smiled.  “Who would have thought an aspiring writer and a hockey player would accomplish so much that we’d even get invited to the Met Gala.”
“I had nothing to do with this,” William shook his head, smiling.  “You did all of this.  I’m just in the background, remember?”
Aberdeen couldn’t help but smile.  The man in front of her supported her dreams without question.  There was nothing she thought of that William didn’t think she’d be able to accomplish.  Her two Booker Prizes were evidence of that.  Her Governor General’s Awards and Giller Prizes were evidence of that.  Her numerous other awards were evidence of that.  “You’re not in the background, Willy,” she told him once more.  It was something she told him time and time again, even though she knew he was joking.  To think he still used a joke he made when she was twenty-two years old…she couldn’t help but laugh.  “You’re the reason I’m able to do this.”
Their conversation was cut short by Aberdeen’s phone ringing.  When she dug it out of her purse, she saw Orla requesting a FaceTime call.  “It’s the kids again,” she said, holding up the phone and turning around so that when she answered it, whoever was calling would see both their parents.  When she accepted, she saw Saoirse’s face first.  “Hi baby,” Aberdeen cooed.  “Did you forget to tell us something?”
“Maia wants to know if she can come over this weekend to play.  Is that okay?” she asked.
“Of course,” William answered.  “I’ll talk to Uncle Morgan about it when we get home tomorrow night.”
“Let me see!” William Jr.’s voice was heard off camera.  Soon, Saoirse had turned the camera around so he could see his parents.  “Hi mom and dad.”
“Hi baby,” Aberdeen cooed again.  “Do you have a question too?”
“No,” he said.  “You look pretty, mama.”
Aberdeen couldn’t help but swoon.  “Thank you, baby.  Are you having a good time at grandma and grandpa’s house?”
He nodded his head enthusiastically.  “Grandma just made popcorn!”
“Wooooo!  Movie night!” William exclaimed from behind her.  “Be good!  Go to bed on time.”
“I will,” William Junior nodded his head.  “Bye daddy.  Bye minskatt.”
Aberdeen furrowed her brows but couldn’t help but laugh at her son.  She could hear William chuckle from behind her too.  “William!  Why’d you call me that?!”
Williiam Junior didn’t know what the big deal was.  He knew he was named after his dad; it was only fitting that he test his limits and call his mom by her first name too.  “Daddy’s name is William, and my name is William, and your name is minskatt!  Daddy always calls you that!  Hi minskatt, bye minskatt, I love you minskatt.  Minskatt is your name!” he argued like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
William thought back to so, so many years ago.  To Aberdeen asking him why he called her minskatt and him telling her why.  A tear escaped his eye and he brought his hand up quickly to cover it.  Aberdeen noticed.  She looked back at William Jr.  “Okay William.  We’ll talk more when we get home, okay?  You better be good for grandma and grandpa.”
Aberdeen ended the call with a couple of more air kisses.  When she was finished, she placed her phone down and saw that William kept wiping his cheeks with his thumb.  “Hey…hey come here,” she said gently, walking over to him because she knew he wouldn’t move.  “Was it Junior?” she asked.
William nodded his head.  “You remember what I told you, like, fifteen years ago?  About why I call you minskatt?”
Aberdeen nodded her head automatically.  She’d never forgotten.  “Of course,” she said softly, bringing her hands up to wipe some of his tears away with her own thumbs.  “It was always your dream, wasn’t it?”
William nodded.  He leaned down slightly to kiss her, even though he knew he’d get lipstick on him and that Aberdeen would have to reapply it for the fourth time before they even left the hotel.  “I know you’ve accomplished so much with your writing and I’ve accomplished so much with hockey but my best accomplishment is you.  Us.  Our family.  The love I have for you.”
Aberdeen nodded her head.  She understood.  She knew.  “Mine too.”
“It’s been fifteen years.  Fifteen years and four kids, Aberdeen.  And still.  Still.  I think about you when I’m not even thinking.”
Aberdeen smiled.  She kissed him once more.  “Jag tänker på dig när jag inte ens tanker.”
You Know What They Say...
Warnings: swearing, fluff Pairing: Bakugou x reader (I originally was going to do Kiri, but this doesn’t really fit him lol)
This uses gender neutral pronouns bc everyone deserves to see themselves in (y/n).
Tumblr media
Description: The first date with Bakugou was going awesome, well until (Y/N) and Bakugou went to see one of the worst movies they had ever seen...anyways Bakugou sat there oddly quiet until (y/n) started trashing the movie and cursing out the characters...Bakugou was pretty sure he wanted to go on a second date after that.
Anywaysss GO GET YOUR MANS....
Tumblr media
YOU WERE WALKING down the hallway towards your locker since school had just ended, intent on grabbing your books and heading outside to walk back to the dorms. Well, that was your plan until you saw the blonde spikes that belonged to king explosion murder himself. “Hey Baku!” You called, speeding up your steps to catch up with his stride.
“I thought I told you to stop calling me that, Big Hair.” He growled, shooting you a side glance. You smiled widely at him, laughing off the hostility as you slid your arm around his. He looked down at where your arms were connected but didn’t say anything about it, surprisingly enough. “I will if you go to the movies with me.”
Bakugou was quiet for a moment as you both walked outside, rolling his eyes before opening his mouth again. “Don’t make me regret it.” He said simply as you stopped, eyes widening in realization.
“Wait so that’s a yes?!” Your smile widened despite his grimace.
“I said don’t make me regret it.” He repeated, his tone harsh, but once again you ignored it.
“Ok! The movie comes out this Friday! I was thinking about the 6:30 showing. We can meet here if you want?” You suggested as he grumbled something to himself before spinning around to look at you again.
“I’ll be at your room at 5.” He said beginning to walk away.
“But the movie doesn’t start until 6:30...”
“We’re getting food first.” Bakugou answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Your eyes widened but you said nothing, simply nodding before you sped up your steps again, walking next to him quietly as you both headed back to the dorms.
You got in the elevator with him, the doors closing as you both remained silent, though you would sneak glances his way every now and then. You got to your room, stopping to unlock the door, not even realizing Bakugou had walked out of the elevator behind you, stopping and leaning against the wall opposite your door.
“What color do you like?” He questioned, startling you as you dropped your key staring at him with a hand to your heart.
“Wh-what?” You blinked.
“What color do you like Dumbass?” He repeated a little more irritated than before.
“My favorite color? Why?”
“Just answer the question Dumbass!” His voice grew louder as you chuckled at his outburst.
“My favorite color is (your favorite color).” You answered simply as he nodded once and walked away.
TIME SKIPPPPP
Tumblr media
It was finally Friday and you had finished with school and had done your homework. You finished touching up your outfit and putting on your makeup (if you wear it, if not just ignore that).
You turned to glance at the clock, being interrupted when a knock sounded at your door. You grabbed your phone and bag (if you want one, if not just ignore that) and opened your door.
There stood Katsuki Bakugou wearing jeans and a black t-shirt. He stuck his hand out as a faint pink dusted his cheeks, revealing a small bundle of flowers in your favorite color. A smile grew on your face as you took the flowers from him.
“Thanks Baku.” You said softly. “I love them.” You put the flowers on your desk in a half full water bottle, reminding yourself that on the way back you had to stop to get a proper vase for them.
You closed the door behind you, sneakily sliding your brown hand into his paler one as you walked down the hall towards the elevator. He didn’t protest to having your hand in his so you left it, not noticing the faint smile that sat on his lips.
Bakugou took you to a ramen restaurant and ordered the spiciest thing on the menu for himself and the second spiciest thing for you.
“I could’ve ordered for myself, you know?” You said as you both began to eat, the ramen arriving after a short amount of time.
“You can order next time.” He said after a moment causing your face to heat up at the realization. Next time.
“Let me try yours.” You pleaded, holding your chopsticks out. He rolled his eyes yet obliged, as you took some of his and you held your bowl out to him, offering some of yours.
“Mine’s better.” He remarked as you rolled your eyes with a smile. You talked about random things and about the movie which was supposed to be an adaption of a show you loved and that you had been waiting a year for it to come out. (Let’s pretend it’s The Last Airbender movie).
Over dinner, you learned that Bakugou liked it too and you began arguing about which nation was the best. Of course he said Fire Nation, but you said that Water Nation was best because Katara and Sokka were the best.
“You know, Zuko’s pretty hot.” You said before drinking some water, watching as he started rolling his eyes and growing irritated. He was jealous.
“Whatever.” He huffed.
“Not you getting jealous over a fictional character.” You said teasingly, trying to hold in your giggles as his eyes narrow slightly and he scoffs at you, but doesn’t deny it. “Don’t worry Katsu, I only like one Hothead.”
“Damn right.” He replied proudly. “Hey who are you calling Hothead?!”
“You.” You replied. “Come on let’s go to the movies before we miss the previews!” You said as you took out your wallet at the same time he did. He pushed your hand away as he got money out.
“No.” He said simply as you continued to both try and put money to pay.
“Katsuki. I’m not letting you pay for me.” You said simply. You didn’t like when people paid for you. (When the author interjects herself into the character 😙)
“No (Y/N).” He said, shoving the money in before snatching the check from the table before you could do anything. He ended up paying and you pouted at him. “What’s wrong with you now Big Hair?”
“I wanted to go Dutch.” You said as he rolled his eyes, before taking your hand in his again. (going dutch means splitting the bill in half, so you would each pay half.)
“Next time.” he replied simply before pulling you into the theater. Damn it, he did it again! Next time...
You both got into the theater, which was at the moment fairly empty since you had gotten there early to get the best seats. You pulled Bakugou around the theater to find the best seats, doing it twice until you finally decided on the seats right in the middle of the theater. “Are you done now?” Bakugou questioned with a raised eyebrow. Though he wouldn’t admit it, he found it cute what you had just done...though he seemed to be finding everything you were doing cute simply because it was you.
“Yes.” You said triumphantly before tossing some popcorn into your mouth. The theaters filled up a short while later and before you knew it, the movie was starting.
The arm rest between the two seats you were both in moved up, so the explosive blonde pushed it up and pulled you closer to him as you held the popcorn in your lap. You looked at him a small smile on your face, and he was thankful it was dark so you couldn’t see him blushing.
It had only been two minutes into the movie and you already were angry about it, frowning at the way they had already pronounced avatar and it had only been the first lines of the script. “It’s Avatar not Oh-vatar.” You grumpily stated as Bakugou raised an eyebrow not expecting you to say anything, though you had been right.
You were trying your best not to get angry, but M. Night Shyamalan was making it very hard. You were doing fairly alright and stuck to just angrily eating popcorn until this scene came up.
Tumblr media
(disgraceful...a joke....can you tell I'm not salty 😒)
“You’ve gotta be kidding me! This movie is a fucking joke!” You said letting some popcorn fall out of your hand as Bakugou tried to hide his smirk by eating popcorn.
It wasn’t like you were the only disappointed one either, the theater was full of fans and they were all disappointed.
“It’s a steaming pile of shit!” You said angrily, looking over to see if Bakugou was agreeing with you. He simply looked at you with raised eyebrows.
“Can you stop cursing? There are children present!” A woman said standing up in the middle of the theater, a few rows below you. She wildly gestured towards her six year old son sitting there looking embarrassed by his mother. He was gently tugging her sleeve to get her to sit down, but she wasn’t budging as she stared at you.
“Shut up Karen!” You called, rolling your eyes. She looked around to see who had said that as Bakugou burst out laughing.
“You are a horribly disrespectful child! Your mother should’ve raised you better! Letting you curse like that, she should be ashamed.”
“Hey shut the fuck up, shitty woman! Don’t talk about her like that!” Bakugou said angrily, creating sparks in his hand, his red eyes narrowing at the middle aged woman. The woman began sobbing and screaming as employees shut the lights on and the woman pointed the two of you out saying that you had threatened her and her son.
Needless to say, you had been kicked out of the theater and banned and the movie had ended for the night, though most people thanked you for them out of their misery.
“What a bitch.” You mumbled as the two of you decided to walk around the downtown area since the movie had ended earlier than you had expected.
Katsuki Bakugou didn’t say anything but the smirk on his lips said enough. “What?” You questioned curiously.
“Nothing.” He said shaking his head as you walked into a store to buy a vase for the flowers that were in your dorm. When you arrived back at your dorm, the two of you hadn’t really talked that much walking back, but you didn’t need to it wasn’t an awkward silence...it was nice. “Next Friday.” He said simply before beginning to walk to his room.
You grabbed his wrist to stop him, confused by what he had just said. “What?” You questioned, your eyes searching his face.
“Dinner. Next Friday.” He said simply. “I’ll message you. Goodnight, Big Hair.”
“N-Night Hothead.” You called back after a moment seeing him walk away towards the elevator. He didn’t turn around, and you couldn’t tell from where you stood but he was smiling. Next Time.
The Magic of Christmas
a/n: hello lovelys! this was requested by an anon for the 300 follower celebration! i changed the wording of the prompt just a little, but you still get the same idea! yes this is a christmas fic in october, i do what i want. 790 words of pregnant, modern rowaelin fluff!
~~~~
The third hour of cheesy hallmark movies ticked by, and Aelin was still wide awake, eyes wide in front of the glow of the TV. The bowl of popcorn, which had been refilled twice, rested on top of her rounded stomach, while a fluffy blanket wrapped over her shoulders.
Even though it was nearly midnight on Christmas Eve, Christmas lights twinkled all throughout the room and outside the house, flickering in her peripheral vision.
At eight months pregnant, sleep was getting less and less common around the Galathynius household. So when Aelin woke up with the baby kicking her insides around for the fourth night in a row, she didn’t bother to wake up her husband. Someone in the house needed to sleep, after all.
Fleetfoot was on the couch with her, the dog’s golden head resting on her thighs (or, what part of her was still available with her massive stomach), and Aelin scratched her absently behind the ears as she flicked through the TV channels, seeing what else was on.
Her face cracked into a broad smile when she pulled up Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, and she quickly clicked on it before settling back into the couch, taking another mouthful of popcorn. Typical, the baby was hardly moving when she was actually awake. The little stinker just hated sleep, apparently.
Aelin hummed along with the opening song, grinning gleefully as the movie began. It had been forever since she’d seen this movie, and she remembered it as one of her favorites.
“No, Rudolph!” The woman lamented, feeling tears spark in her eyes as she watched the scene where the baby reindeer had to leave. “Don’t let them bully you!”
“Aelin?”
She yelped, knocking the bowl of popcorn off her belly and onto the floor. Fleetfoot jumped off the couch and dove for the food, gobbling it up frantically while Aelin untangled herself from her blankets.
“Ro! You scared me!”
Her husband stood in the entrance to their bedroom, clad in flannel pajamas and with rumpled silver hair that made him look damn good. “I noticed. What are you doing awake? It’s nearly midnight.”
Aelin pushed herself up, waddling away from the spilled food to make her way over to Rowan. “Baby was kicking. I couldn’t sleep, and you’ve been working so hard since it’s the holidays- I didn’t want to wake you.”
Proving her point, Rowan gave a large yawn, before wrapping an arm over her shoulder and pressing a kiss to her golden hair.
“Come back to bed.”
Aelin bit her lip, glancing back at the TV, which was still playing the movie. “I’ll finish up, then I’ll be back. I don’t want to miss the end.”
Rather than head back into the bedroom, Rowan instead made his way to the couch, sweeping the spilled popcorn away and letting Fleetfoot finish it off. He sat down and gestured for his wife to come over.
“I’ll watch with you. I haven’t seen this movie in forever.”
Smiling, Aelin happily made herself comfortable on top of her husband, holding one of his hands atop her rounded belly in the spot so he could feel the occasional baby kicks while he watched.
The movie progressed, and Aelin began to yawn, sleep finally catching up with her. The babe in her womb quieted, finally, and she found herself struggling to keep her eyes open as the movie finished.
When Rudolph led the reindeer off into the night, pulling Santa’s sleigh to light the way, Aelin gently woke her husband, who had fallen asleep, by commenting sleepily, “We should move to the North Pole.”
“What? Why?” Rowan asked, sleep slurring his voice.
“Cuz it’s where Santa lives.”
Rowan’s green eyes narrowed. “You are twenty-five, Aelin. Santa isn’t real.”
“Shh!” She demanded, placing her hands over her stomach in a mockery of placing them over someone’s ears. “Don’t ruin the magic of Christmas for your daughter, you buzzard!”
“We are not moving to the North Pole.”
Giggling, Aelin leaned into her husband. “Maybe you’ll change your mind when she’s born. We both know you won’t be able to say no.”
Rowan just sighed, sitting up fully. “Let’s go to bed.”
He helped his pregnant wife stand up, (what a gentleman) and led her back to the bedroom. Fleetfoot, full from eating popcorn off the floor, gave a few sleepy thumps of her tail before rolling over.
Aelin settled contentedly into the bed and into her husband’s arm, and glanced at the clock, which read 1:00 A.M.
“Merry Christmas, Ro.” She whispered, placing a kiss on his cheek. And even though he was already fast asleep, she still noticed the hand on her belly, gently rubbing, the beginnings of their growing family.

Communication Suddenly Cut Off
******
Hero adjusted her shoulder, elbow on the arm of her chair. "No way!" She dropped her spoon into her bowl of cereal. "She actually said that to him?"
On the other end of the line, Friend laughed. "Oh yeah. I don't blame her a single bit! I mean, he was borderline stalking her. You remember when we were at Max & Erma's and he dressed up as a waiter just to see her? Insane."
Picking her spoon back up and shoveling it into her mouth, Hero mumbled a 'Yeah, guess you're right'.
"So what have you been up to? I missed you at the party today. You doing alright?"
Bending forward with legs bent on the cushion, Hero put her bowl on the coffee table in front of her. She grabbed her phone with a hand instead of holding it between her head and shoulder. Hero was cramping enough without having to take up weird body positions.
"I'm alright," she said. "Just exhausted from work, you know?" Exhausted from fighting a villain you hopefully know nothing about.
Friend was silent for a moment. "I get it. It sucks not seeing you though. Maybe we could have a movie night." Her voice pitched at this. "Be exhausted all you want that way. I'll get us some popcorn. And! I'll get the nacho cheese stuff to sprinkle over it!" Hero smiled in her seat. "I'll pick up a few movies from Redbox, too, so we don't have to watch a bunch of oldies. Okay, that's it. That's the plan. Now," Friend hummed then began mumbling, "It's five o'clock and Mom needs eggs from the store. I'll try to be there by-"
The line went fuzzy, a quiet chshhhhhh. "Friend? Hey, you're cutting out." Hero stood from the chair, walking to the window. Maybe there was better reception there? If it was on Friend's end then it didn't matter much, but she could at least try. "Friend? You there?" She pulled the phone away, the screen of her phone lighting up. Hero was on a second call. No name though. Weird. She hung up, or at least tried to. The screen hadn't changed when she tapped the little red phone. Hero tapped it again, but nothing happened.
Next time she tapped the counting timer that told her how long she was on a call with Friend. The phone call returned normally and the other disappeared. She shook her head.
"H-ero? I th-ink-"
Hero cut to the chase. The call wasn't getting any better. "What time?"
Chshhhhhh.
Damnit, Hero thought, and peeked at her phone again. 'Unknown Caller' it read for a second time. "Hello?" she said impatiently. No answer. "Hellooo?" Nothing.
She hit the home screen, tapping the text message icon then tapped on Friend's contact. 'Hey. Phones are acting weird. What time do you think you'll be here?' Hero typed. Hitting send, a red and encircled X appeared. 'Message failed to send' it said below. She touched the X and then touched where it said 'Retry'. The X reappeared. Hero repeated the process once. Twice. Three times. Four. Five. Nothing, nothing, nothing. "What the hell?" Her phone was slow sometimes, but never this bad. "She'll get here when she gets here I guess."
Her phone began to ring just as she tossed it on the couch across the room. Sighing, she went to pick it back up. 'Unknown Caller'. No. If it was important, they could leave a message or text her. Hero didn't pick up from numbers she didn't know, or from numbers that didn't appear on screen. She pushed the lock button on the side of the phone, rejecting the call.
"How rude, rejecting my call."
Hero froze. Her shoulders drew tight, her spine straightened so much that it cramped as badly as when she held her phone with a shoulder. Her jaw clenched and her eyes went wide, staring vacantly at the couch cushion in front of her. Was Hero breathing? If she was, she didn't feel it.
"Won't talk to me on the phone and now not in person either, hm?"
Goosebumps rose along her arms as she heard the villain stepping closer. How had he gotten in? She turned. "How did you find me? Where did you get my information? What else do you know?" Information being both her address and phone number, maybe even her specific phone if he was able to block her communications the way he did.
Villain looked so casual, he always did. You'd never expect him to be a madman who plotted humanity's demise. He looked like a fancy historian; brown pants, black turtleneck, plaid and half buttoned jacket. He had his hands planted in his pants pockets now. Hero still had no idea how he managed to get inside of her apartment.
He chuckled at her uptight-ness. "Can't we just chat for once- for a minute before you question my how-comings and motives?"
"No," Hero responded shortly.
Villain fake-pouted. "How's come? You and your friend seem great. I would love to gossip to you the same way."
Hero rolled her eyes. Her shoulders were still tense, but she was relaxing- not so far that she wasn't prepared, but just enough that she wasn't uptight beyond movement. "You didn't answer me. What else do you know? How did you learn anything about me?"
He smiled at her. "Now that's a fun story. Guess I get to monologue after all."
"Make it short."
"Or what?" He dazzled her with a wider smile, one that showed teeth. Was it just her or were they sharpened? It was just her, definitely just her- and her anxiety, her terror.
Villain strode to the chair Hero had been sitting in just minutes ago. He plopped down, ankle on knee, arms on either side. "Go on," he told her. "Sit."
"Maybe you should stand."
He chuckled without moving. "Darling, I don't think you understand how easy I have been on you. In multiple ways, actually." His eyes fell from her own to the couch behind her. "Sit." Villain looked at Hero again and she swore something changed in his eyes. They almost seemed darker. She obeyed.
"Now, I think you recall that little stalker of your friend?" Hero squinted, but nodded. "Did you know he's able to take up the appearance of anyone he wishes?" He didn't wait for a response. "In that, he's also able to project his own appearance onto bystanders, even control what they would do as him. Very talented, very...mindfully aware."
Hero shook her head. "Where are you going with this?"
He shushed her, softly, as if she was a baby. "He came under my employment about a month ago. Remind me," he said, "how long ago it was that your friend became ill."
Her eyes went wide and she nearly launched from her seat, realizing what he meant. Villain might attack her if she acted out so suddenly though. Hero remained seated.
"What have you done with her?" she demanded. It made sense what he said. Whoever his worker was, he made himself look like Friend 2 then made anyone else appear like him. But where was Friend 2 if she hadn't been with Hero and Friend all along?
"Nothing too dastardly. She isn't starving, but I'm sure she would appreciate a nice chicken dinner."
"And Friend?" she asked, somewhat panicked. Friend was okay, she had to be. Yeah, the phone call ended somewhat abruptly, but that was just because Villain interfered. Beyond that, she was fine, right?
Villain shrugged. "What do you think?"
Her eyes stung with tears she refused to let fall. She shook her head. "Why are you here? What are you doing?"
"Entertaining myself mostly. You're my opponent. I wanted to brag."
"I'll kill you," she swore. "If not tonight, I will find you like you did me, and I'll kill you when I do."
Villain's eyes twinkled from afar. "Cute. Very cute." He laughed heartily. "I told you already that I've been easy on you, right?" Again, he didn't wait for an answer. "I'm here for more than bragging rights. I want you to come with me. I've given you opportunity enough to back down on your own; I'm giving you another now. Come with, or I'll have to force your hand."
Her eyes became squinted and her lip lifted. "I'm sorry?"
"Surrender," Villain said simply. His legs uncrossed and he leaned forward, elbows on his knees. "If you don't I'll take you away forcibly."
Hero huffed a laugh. "As if you could. When have you ever bested me?" In truth, she was terrified. He was being serious, no amusement crossing his features. And the number of times he'd mentioned 'going easy on her'...what if he was telling the truth?
"Try something now then. Lunge at me." His lips were in a straight line. No emotion.
She considered him. Serious. He's serious. Villain was inviting her to attack him. Maybe she should take the opportunity.
Without another thought, she leaped from the couch, ready to tackle Villain, even though he was in a chair. She would have knocked the whole chair back if she could. But, something stopped her, a- a wall of sorts, one that glimmered like a bubble. "What-?" She touched that wall. Her fingers couldn't pass through. Shaking her head, she spun on a heel trying to return to the couch. Unfortunately she ran into another wall. "You're doing this," Hero muttered, facing Villain once again. She swallowed seeing his smile.
"So, you'll come with on your own. Otherwise I can push you along myself, and I think that would be rather humiliating, don't you?"
"This doesn't prove anything. You can push me, but you can't command me."
"Isn't it the same?" Villain sighed seeing Hero's fiery stubbornness. "Fine then. Let's have a little charade." He stood from Hero's chair, face forming into something...something Hero didn't quite understand. "I forgot to grab something to drink before I came here. Do you have something for me to drink, Hero?"
Her lips moved. "Yes, of course, Villain. Let me show you to the kitchen." Her hand flew to her mouth afterward. She hadn't said that. She hadn't said that. Hero's eyes found Villain's.
"Lead the way," he said.
Hero's feet moved on their own, leading the two to her kitchen despite how she tried to resist. She couldn't even feel herself pulling back. There was no resistance except for in her thoughts. She began unwillingly talking again. "There's some water bottles in the bottom right drawer. Fruit punch juice boxes on the left- though my younger cousin will be disappointed when she finds not only me missing, but her juice as well." 'When she finds not only me missing.' So this was how Villain would take her, by commanding her just like she said he couldn't.
What was almost worse was that what Villain made her say was exactly right. Water bottles, bottom right drawer. Fruit punch juice boxes in the left drawer. One of three things could have happened. One, Villain had that stalker, body-switching guy, go through her home while she was gone. Two, Villain himself went through her house while Hero was absent, or when he somehow snuck into her house while simultaneously messing with her phone today. Three, he had access to her mind. The last one would have sounded ridiculous if it weren't for the way Villain was controlling her now.
"You're realizing you have no choice now, aren't you?"
Hero nodded her head. She couldn't tell whether it was her doing it or if Villain was still possessing her. Either way, he was right.
"Why?" she asked. Villain tilted his head. Hero believed he could have gotten his answer if he wanted. Still, she continued, "Why are you doing this? Taking me? Is it not enough that you've taken my friends?"
Her body turned to the exit. She began walking through, walking to the front door of her apartment. They were really leaving. She was going to get sick.
"I'm tired of you fighting is all. It will be much easier to accomplish my goals if I don't have to worry about turning you away every time."
"Then kill me." She swallowed after she said it. Hero didn't really want him to kill her, but she also didn't want to be taken. Villain said Friend 2 was okay, not starving, but would certainly be happier if she was given more. Hero had a feeling she wouldn't be given the same treatment. Villain might actually starve her because of her putting a kink in all of his plans, for not surrendering when she was given multiple chances to.
"Am I really so awful to be around?" Villain asked behind her as she led the way to the elevators. "I should think my style makes up for any unpleasantness. This jacket was bought yesterday. I'm rather dashing in it, aren't I?"
Just as unwillingly as before, Hero said, "Yes, very."
