Chapter one
Tumblr media
Music everywhere
It's so loud I can't hear myself think. The club is full of people. It doesn't matter what skin tone, beliefs, religion, identity or orientation you are, you are in the crowd. The grey crowd is safe, keep your head down. But no one here is ordinary. I would rather call it a crowd of extroverted individualists. A drag queen passes me, fanning herself with such a colourful fan that I get nystagmus. My dad would start calling everyone fagots. Ah, our dear old-time parents. Normally a sect of xenophobic dummies, where their guru is a cis man, the head of the family.
I mentally tell myself to stop talking like that and head to the bar. I'm served by a bartender wearing pink lipstick and stubble showing through his foundation. She has very coquettish, attached eyelashes, which are decorated with glitter. He smiles, showing perfect white teeth. We talk for a while about the music that plays in the background and we laugh at not funny jokes. Just as Elvis Presley comes on stage in disguise, someone next to me abruptly puts a glass on the counter. I don't look at who interrupted our conversation, but my attention is drawn to the red claws that click on the wooden tabletop. Carmine, is very intense. After a moment, I hear a deep, icy voice
-What this gentleman, please
Woman. I make myself look at the newcomer's face, and not stare like a puppet at her hands. The girl is perhaps nineteen or twenty years old. She has short, shoulder-length hair, the colour of Swedish black. Her lips are almost cherry red, and her eyes perfectly match the patina earrings. She wears a black top and corset with silver embellishments, faux leather pants and high heels. For a moment I wonder what color they are. Crimson. Crimson She leans on the bar with one hand and, holding a drink in the other, starts a conversation
-Do you come here often?
I'm confused as I am. It's unusual for me, I usually know what to say in every situation. Instead, I say trite text
-Do we know each other? I asked
Nova rolls her eyes, half-smiling. Shelooks me up and down, then speaks after a long moment, still keeping eye contact with me.
-Plastic, you paint landscapes, but you're good at nude sketches, especially in charcoal. You listen to music from the seventies, the zodiac sign is a pices. You're a hackneyed pices. You wear an amethyst around your neck, which means you believe in the power of stones and other divination crap. Extrovert, ironic and approach everything with sarcasm. Oh, and you're obsessed with colours. And I'm Elanor, nice to meet you.
I stand frozen for a good ten seconds. I see two options: I'm so hackneyed and predictable that I read like an open book, or this chick is so acute that she can guess people. I must be looking weird because Elanor looks at me with a concern that seems artificial.
-I don't know if your parents taught you this at home, but now you should say your name.
I grunt and straighten up. "Get over it you moron," I say to myself.
-Um, Alex. I mean, I'm Alex. My name is Alex, but you don't have to say, Alex, you can say Al. We don't know each other, maybe it's better Alex.
God, I'm an idiot.
Elanor laughs, not mocking, but a friendly, normal one. But the next thing that catches my attention is the mark I just noticed on her arm. It's a tattoo. It's a black butterfly, maybe a moth, but I'd bet on a butterfly. Only this tattoo doesn't look normal, it looks like a burned scar. Or maybe it's my eyes that can't see what's going on after that drink. My legs are a bit soft, and I'm trying to remember how much I've had so far. All in all, not much. Weird, I usually drink more and feel sober. "You're terrible," she says, then puts her empty glass down. She reaches out her hand and then screams because it suddenly got louder than it was.
-Let's go dancing! I love this song!
She takes my hand and I don't let go. Why am I going with her? I've only known her for a few minutes. But all in all, why not? I'm supposed to stand by this bar and hang out with this guy behind the counter all evening. Besides, it's just a dance, I need to chill out a bit
Then there are silent screams
Then the magic of music
Step by step, left, right
Take it easy. You need to chill
Bodies swaying
Stuffy, terribly stuffy
I'm drowning in the crowd
I hear a whisper, "Let's go outside." After that, only darkness, nothing else
***
I wake up on a cold floor, in a cold room. I try to get up but my arm is in excruciating pain. I try to scream but my mouth is taped shut. I'm trying to see what happened to my arm. I see. Butterfly, same as this girl's. But what was her name? Elizabeth? Eve? The scar burns terribly, and tears gather in my eyes.
I'm not alone in the room
Someone is sitting at the piano. My eyes slowly adjust to the semi-darkness, and then I hear a key. And next. And next. It slowly builds up a melody. I don't know if there's blood around me or my tears. The next thing I see is butterflies. And darkness again.

Family Affair
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ransom DrysdalexBlack Reader
⚠️: Harsh words from a very despicable family, fluff
“No, absolutely not.”
“Ransom come on-,”
“I said no and that’s my final answer,” he states attempting to return his attention to the newspaper in his hands until you pull it from his grasp. Standing in front of him with arms crossed, he sighs knowing you were far from letting the topic go.
“Ransom I’m not saying you have to give away the Beemer. I’m just saying we might want to look into getting a more family friendly car that a child can actually fit in comfortably.”
“What about your car? It’s fine.”
“You’re right it is. But poopie isn’t always going to be with me, which is why your car should also be safe for them.”
“You know, we’ve been going back and forth about this yet we haven’t even asked the person who’s gonna be riding in the car,” he replies scooting forward, gently grabbing your sides coming closer to your recently visible bump. “What do you say? You think daddy should retire the Beemer?”
Ear pressed against your stomach, you fail trying to hide your giggle as he pretends to listen to your unborn child.
“They said that they see nothing wrong with daddy’s car. Oh and they would rather you not call them poopie.”
“Fine Ransom, do whatever you want about the car,” you sigh giving back his crumpled paper before moving to step over his leg. You feel his grip tighten as you’re brought down to sit on his lap and his lips peck your neck.
“Alright alright, if it’ll make you like me again I’ll look into another car. I’m telling you now though, I’d walk everywhere before I buy a minivan.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less,” you laugh. “There is something else I want to talk to you about though.”
“Hmm?”
“...I think it’s time to tell your parents.”
His body tenses under you and jaw clenches as he now focuses on your stomach with thumb gliding back and forth over your belly button. Every time you brought up anything dealing with his family that tended to be his reaction, silence paired with an unspoken disdain as if you mentioned his worse enemy.
“Y/N you know how I feel about that.”
“I know but it’s their first grandchild-,”
“It could be their 10th grandchild and I still wouldn’t want them near us.”
“I just don’t want them feel like they missed out on anything and then get even more pissed.” Hands caressing his face, you kiss his lips before meeting his intense blue eyes.
“See how you’re thinking about their feelings? Actually being a decent human being who’s caring and beautiful inside and out? They’re nothing like that and exactly why I don’t want you, or our child, in the same room as them.”
“I get you’re looking out for us, but I’m a big girl. I can handle myself.”
“I’m not saying you can’t but Y/N, I’m telling you my family is not the kind where you can warm their cold hearts like some kids movie. I just hope you fully get that.”
“I’m not expecting them to join hands and break out in song like they’re straight out the sound of music. I just want them to know Ransom,” you answer.
He still didn’t want to do it, but he could see your point. The least you both could do was let them know so they couldn’t turn things back on you saying you hid their grandchild from them. Releasing a long breath through his nostrils, he lowers your hands kissing the inside of your wrists.
“Okay, we’ll tell them. But that’s all they need to know.”
“Okay, and you try not to worry,” you smile resting your forehead against his. “Everything’s gonna be fine.”
“For both of your sakes, I hope you’re right,” he responds rubbing your belly.
———
The entire car ride to his grandfather’s estate, Ransom was quiet staring straight ahead at the road. He was irritable the whole morning as he trudged back and forth throughout the house getting himself ready. This followed in the car where he simply turned on the radio not uttering a word and leaving you watching the autumn trees pass outside. You know it was all due to his nerves for what was to come and wished there was something you could say to instantly reassure him. Instead though, you simply took his free hand in yours kissing his knuckles.
It was a small gesture, but you wanted to show him you were there.
“Thank you,” he speaks just above a whisper gently squeezing your hand back before placing it on your thigh. Soon after, an older yet well kept looking house became closer in sight causing you to awe in its vintage beauty.
Really calling it a house wouldn’t do it justice. It was like a mini mansion with all the windows that lined the second level and reminded you of a small section of the hogwarts dormitories from the pointed rooftops.
“It’s not as great as it looks,” he says parking the car. “It creaks so loud you can probably hear it outside, gets drafty at night, and some of the furniture has that stale smell you can’t seem to get rid of no matter what you do to it.”
Guiding his chin to look at you, you lean closer capturing his lips with yours as his hand finds the back of your neck holding you close until both of you need to breathe.
“Try to relax, okay?” He nods with a soft smile letting you go so you both can make your way towards the front door.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me. It was only supposed to be my parents and grandpa, not the whole family!” It wasn’t until now being halfway to the front steps that you both noticed the extra cars near the front of the house.
“You’d think they’d respect this one wish-,”
“Hey it’s okay. Yea we have more of an audience now, but we’ll be fine. Maybe somehow this’ll work out better for us?”
“Darling you really are too naive at times,” he sarcastically smiles.
“And you can be the biggest grouch I’ve ever met, but I still love you,” you reply mimicking his expression before kissing his cheek as he chuckles.
His arm barely extended enough to reach the knob before the door swung open revealing a middle aged man with white hair and a style similar to Ransom’s from the sweater under his open fleece jacket and jeans over deck shoes.
“Good thing you still look the same after a year or else we wouldn’t know you at all,” he states with arms crossed in front of him.
“Hello father, lovely to see you too.”
“Still as sarcastic as ever too. And who do we have here?”
“Oh I’m Y/N, nice to meet you Mr. Drysdale,” you sweetly smile holding out your hand which he shakes with an amused look painted on his face.
“So this is the special guest we’ve been waiting on,” he grins. “And please call me Richard.”
“Speaking of I thought we agreed it was only gonna be us. Why is the whole family here?”
“Walt came by to talk business with your grandfather so of course Donna and Jacob followed behind. Joni came when she found out everyone else was here because she didn’t want to be ‘left out’,” a lady not far behind Walt in age explains, heels clicking against the hardwood as she approaches the door in her mauve colored suit looking every bit as rich as you’d imagine someone to look. “Richard are you gonna let them in or keep them outside the entire time?”
“Oh sorry, come in,” he motions stepping aside letting the both of you enter.
Although a bit cluttered with the eccentric knickknacks collected by the family over time, it was still just as beautiful inside as it was out, if not more.
“So I’m guessing you’re here to tell me you’re playing house with my son?,” she asks taking a drink from her glass.
“Um well technically yes, but-,”
“Jesus let them sit down first Linda,” Richard shakes his head leading you to the couch as Ransom follows close behind. Of course being the stranger in the house all eyes were on you as you sat down. “So Y/N, what’s your poison?”
“I’ll actually just take water, thank you.”
“Joni, Walt, Donna, Jacob, this is Ransom’s guest Y/N, Y/N these are Ransom’s aunts, his uncle, and youngest cousin,” Linda points respectively before sitting in front of you with legs crossed.
“So what do we owe the pleasure of this little visit Ransom? Need more money from Harlan to do God knows what on some private island?,” Joni chuckles sipping from her wine glass.
“Actually my business here is with my parents which has nothing to do with neither of you leeches,” Ransom quips placing an arm around your shoulder.
“Oh very classy. Y/N I may not know you, but I’d really advise you to get out from under this one as soon as you can,” Walt replies sitting on the arm of his wife’s chair.
“No ‘may not’, you don’t know her, so what makes you think you’re in the position to give her advice of any kind?”
“Okay boys enough,” Linda interjects with a raised hand. “Ransom what’s going on?”
In perfect timing, Richard walks in setting your water down in front of you before sitting in the empty chair next to a waiting Linda who seemed like the type not liking to do so.
“Go ahead,” Ransom whispers in your ear giving a reassuring nod as you sit up a bit straighter with hands clasped in your lap.
“Well, Linda and Richard, we wanted to meet with you to let you know that you’re gonna be grandparents.”
Just staring at you unimpressed with your announcement, you feel your stomach sink disappointed in their lack of enthusiasm or any reaction really.
“Here we go again,” she lowly grins swallowing the last of her brown liquor. “Listen honey you seem like a nice girl, but do you know how many of that boy’s ex’s or random hookups have come here saying the same thing expecting a check from us?”
“Unlike all of those other girls, which it was only four, she’s serious,” Ransom adds.
“Four too many if you ask me,” Joni mumbles.
“Well no one did so why are you still here?!”
“Mrs. Drysdale-,”
“It’s Linda or Mrs. Thrombey-Drysdale dear,” she corrects refilling her glass.
“Linda I’m not here looking for some handout. I just wanted the both of you to know that Ransom and I are expecting so you’d be in their life.”
“How do you know it’s his?,” Richard asks causing both you and Ransom to turn your heads looking as if he’d cursed you using every word under the sun.
“Excuse me?”
“Like Linda said, you seem like a nice girl but we have to make sure we’re not just falling for the innocent farm girl routine here.”
“Plus with you kids now and your wild live free ways, it’s a valid question I’d say,” Donna states making your blood boil to levels you’d never experienced before.
“Yes Ransom is the father. Would you like me to tell you where and when we had sex too so you can add it up yourselves?”
“Hey no need to get an attitude with us,” Walt says trying to calm an apparently offended Donna. “As you know this is a prominent family with assets we’re just trying to protect. Plus think of our patriarch. Bringing all this drama to him in his old age and with his ailments might send the poor man to the hospital.”
“Look I understand, trust me I do. But Ransom is literally right here with me which should be proof enough everything I’m saying is true.”
“And it would be if we knew Ransom wasn’t money hungry and trying to make sure his inheritance was still intact,” Linda says peering over her cup.
“I started my own writing company with the money I had left getting NOTHING MORE from grandpa. I literally said screw my inheritance before I stormed out last year and never came back!,” Ransom yells becoming more frustrated as well.
“People’s minds can change,” Jacob quietly speaks making you scoff before standing up to walk out the room.
“Oh, and before I go,” you start, lifting your sweater just enough so everyone could see your bump. “It’s a real bump. No fake belly or anything if that was the next question.” You didn’t give anyone a chance to say anything more, not even Ransom to stop you from leaving, before you rushed out the room through the kitchen to wherever your feet would guide you.
“Couldn’t leave it alone could you?,” Ransom sighs.
“Well maybe we wouldn’t have to do all that if you would’ve kept it in your pants in the past!,” Linda shouts as Ransom just shakes his head.
“All that booze is really getting to your head,” he chuckles to himself standing to his feet. “Those other girls all came by themselves, wrote letters, or emails claiming those things. Not one did I sit there with them letting them spew lies because I KNEW THEY WERE LYING!”
“Well if this one’s so different, why has it taken a year for us to meet her?!”
“BECAUSE OF THIS!! This dysfunction I’ve had to deal with that I didn’t want to subject my wife or unborn child to!”
“Wife?,” everyone asks at the same time looking as if he’d just grown a second head.
“Yes, my wife. We got married six months ago.”
“Jesus, Ransom,” Richard groans running a hand over his face. “There was a prenup involved right?”
“She offered to sign one, but I said no. Because unlike your marriage, we can trust each other.” Pushing past his father, he follows your steps through the kitchen and eventually out to the enclosed veranda hearing your sniffles.
“I know. You’re here to tell me I told you so and how being a grouch isn’t a bad thing because it avoids your feelings getting hurt,” you softly speak looking down to your belly as your hands cradle the small protrusion.
“No,” he answers sitting beside you kissing your temple. “I just came to check on you.”
“I’ve calmed down, but I just want to go home and go to bed. Oh and you were right about this place being creaky.”
“I’ve told them these floors need to be replaced,” a deep voice announces startling the both of you. The elderly man slowly makes his way to the chair across from you sighing in content as he sits down. “So I hear a new member of the family will be joining us soon.”
“Yea, around May or June. Grandpa this Y/N, my wife. Y/N this is grandpa Harlan,” Ransom introduces as the two of you shake hands.
“Nice to meet you. I apologize for my children’s behavior, they can be-,”
“Rude and outright inconsiderate,” you interrupt quickly slapping your hand over your mouth realizing you just said that out loud. “I’m sorry, it slipped out.”
“It’s quite alright, and in fact true,” he chuckles. “Don’t worry about them though, if you both need anything at all just let me know.”
“That’s nice of you gramps, but this baby is our responsibility. We don’t need any assistance.”
“That’s very commendable of you two, but I don’t want that child going without anything he or she needs to save your ego. Just know I’ll personally be here to help any way I can.”
You could see why Ransom always wanted to be by his grandfathers side. He might’ve had his stern moments from the stories you heard, but overall he was caring and actually gave people chances rather than immediately dismissing them. It made you wonder what happened to the rest of the family for them to turn out so different.
“Thank you Harlan. We really appreciate everything, but especially you just being there for us,” you smile walking over to hug his shoulders making the old man chuckle being caught off guard by your affection.
“You’re very welcome. And you little one,” he directs toward your stomach, “yes you’re coming into a, well...complicated family, but you have the power to determine what reaction your name brings. Whenever you need to be reminded of that, your parents and I will be here.”

Mistletoe & Wine
Tumblr media
A/N: Hello this is my collaboration for @goldenbluesuit very well put together Christmas song fic challenge. It’s my first time participating and my first time posting my writing here as well (I’m sort of new, I have no friends) so, I’m kind of nervous and English is not my first language (sorry for any mistakes) thanks to my boyfriend for being a Brit so he could help me with the “slang” and for reading this about fifteen times and listened to Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard throughout the entire week with me lol. Thanks for  taking the time to read this :) If you want to befriend a twenty six year old Aries, or just send me an ask click here.
Word count: 2.8k
Summary: Harry meets a woman that is not here to stay, he will need to decide if that will keep him from making the most of the very few days they have together or dread the imminent separation.
Tumblr media
It was raining when her flight landed in London. The kind of rain that doesn't pour heavily, instead it settles over the city for days. And although she can't afford to take a cab, she steps out of the airport just to stare at the endless grey of the sky and wrap herself in her coat because of how cold it was. After a few more minutes she goes back inside to find the way to get out of there on the tube, she knew it to be possible after all the research she's been doing since the age of twelve on the internet.
Soon enough, the man she approached to ask for help, confirms that a train is leaving in a few minutes and she can easily get off at Hammersmith, he even helps her buy the ticket and recommends to get an oyster card if she is going to use London's Underground often. But she doesn't know, she relishes in the element of surprise that is surrounding her life for the next 3 weeks. It excites her to an unfamiliar degree to see people come and go into the carriage, it almost makes her miss her stop, but she manages to get off just in time, her hands clutching the heavy suitcase that contains all her nicest and warmest clothes. She follows the crowd up the stairs and out of the station, the busy street revealed before her is straight out of those books she restlessly studied at school, people wearing trench coats and long scarfs hurry in hopes to avoid the rain and then a red double-decker bus passes by. The cherry on top.
The spontaneous decision to spend Christmas in England instead of her home country was made months ago, on the night of her birthday, although her closest friends would say that she's been dreaming of it since she read Harry Potter. No one gave her a hard time for it, in fact, almost all her friends and family members went to the airport to wish her a safe trip. Her grandmother was cheeky enough to slip a twenty pound note when hugging her goodbye.
Every day of the first week went by in a blur, visiting museums, galleries and walking around the city, getting soaked in its beauty and the endless rain. By the beginning of the second week, a bit tired of the scarce options from the hotel's breakfast, she ventured out, burying half of her face in the scarf she bought the day before at Primark, her feet guiding her almost out of instinct to the little cafe at the end of Hercules road. The place is warm and the menu seems to have it all for a very fair price. After a couple of minutes the Full English wins, she iterates the order to the woman behind the counter and adds a cup of tea handing over the money.
"Get a seat love, I'll bring it over." The elder lady says making the girl smile and thank her before scampering across the room to sit by the window at the four seat table tucked in the corner.
It doesn't take long for her food to arrive and for her to dig in, feeling kind of full almost at the end, she slows down then, a trick her father passed down on her. Let it settle in for a few minutes before going back at it. Works every time. She gets lost on the daily life happening before her eyes, the people walking by, some in a rush maybe to get to work, others in a rush to get to the shops early and buy presents. She could easily tell the difference between one and other. The elderly couple walking to the market, slower than anybody else, arms linked and without a care in the world. A girl around her age doing "the walk of shame" elicited a smirk on her lips. Good for her.
"Do you mind if I take a seat?" She almost missed the question by the stranger standing there. "There's no empty seats elsewhere I'm afraid, I won't bother you." He was right, in the span of thirty minutes the place was full to the brim with families, the three seats at her table the only ones free so, she nodded and even managed to smile in a friendly way. Unfortunately for her, the green eyed stranger did the same, a sweet dimple on his left cheek more prominent than on the right one and she had to eat a spoonful of beans in an attempt to hide her blush.
Two weeks in the country, almost two weeks, and the best looking man on it decides to show up on a greasy spoon cafe when she's eating what's left of her sausages and beans. His food is delivered by the same lady from earlier, of course it is something that looks healthy. The sudden need to fly away from the place pops in her head, it's not a bad one, he doesn't even know her name. She wants to know his. She remembers how he said he wouldn't bother her, it's almost disappointing, she wants to be bothered.
The situation seems to be straight out of a rom-com, she is cutting the banger in little pieces, as if the formula to spark conversation with the mystery guy keeping her company is hidden in them. But after five minutes she sighs quietly, knowing that her own shyness won't let her even glance at him again. She will have to do her best to remember him and observe from the corner of her eye until the last piece of minced pork is consumed by her. And maybe she will gush about how gorgeous he was with her friends once she is back home, describing his shiny emerald eyes for them, sharing a sigh when she recalls how dreamy his accent was and squeal upon the memory of his raspy voice.
Ten minutes later her last bite is chewed and swallowed, the cup is empty as well. She's about to grab her coat draped on the back of her chair. "I'm going to have to break my non-disturbing you promise but... um, that's a sick cardigan." His voice doesn't sound confident as before, he even clears his throat, but his eyes never leave hers.
"Thanks, my grandma knitted it for me." She forgets about her coat and straightens out a bit for him to appreciate the colourful patchwork and extends her left arm to show the over-sized sleeve. Her companion hums in approval. "She hates it."
"What?" His green eyes widening in disbelief and she just shrugs.
"As soon as I put it on she went on and on about how horrible it was, the wrong proportions and how it all seemed better off in her mind." They share a giggle and don't notice that their empty plates have been taken away and the place is no longer swamped by people. "But I like it, I like it a lot, does a good job keeping me warm." And makes her look lovely, he thinks but doesn't say.
Instead he licks his lips before speaking again. "I'm Harry." He offers his left hand and she quickly eyes the cross tattoo.
"I'm a tourist." She says before adding her real name, earning a deep chuckle from him before letting go of his hand.
The set of circumstances in which she met Harry is dreamy for sure, but something about him made the set of affairs so real. When he asked about the places where she'd been the scoff afterwards and the roll of his eyes made her ask what was wrong about them. But he didn't answer, with a shake of his head and a deep sigh he asked for her phone number. The promise to show her the real London lingered in the air as they parted ways outside of the corner cafe.
Her heart raced at the very sight of him outside Borough Market the following morning. "Morning love, alright?" he greeted her before hugging her tight and quick. It was so genuine it made her wonder if she really just met him the day before. "Do you like doughnuts?"
"Who doesn't?" she says with that grin he worries will wait for him in his dreams.
"Wisest words ever spoken." Harry's arm is wrapped around her shoulders, guiding her on their quest inside the huge market.
The early morning is spent too soon, Harry guides her to talk to the stall owners, they are so passionate about their produce, most of them willing when possible to give them a sample. The highlight is the stop at Bread Ahead, they buy more doughnuts than what she thinks they need. They eat them all while sharing a Monmouth coffee. Harry shares with her stories about almost every stall they passed by. "I'm not a fan of red meat, and oysters." She keeps record of it, basking in his lovely anecdotes that seemed to summon the sun from it's hiding place. "We're granted a sunny day in winter!" He celebrates and it's impossible not to join him. "Let's go to Richmond Park."
Of course she nods in agreement and follows him down the street where he parked his car before she gets in the passenger seat. The stranger danger alarm, should've gone off in her head. But there was something about him, like he was holding her in place. As she heard Harry speak about his job, it started to make more sense in her head. Harry was a lot like this country, foreign, new, exciting and hers for the next few days. He made that clear when they parted ways at the end of the day.
"Come home with me for Christmas." Harry asked her on what would be the beginning of her last week in London, while having a picnic on Primrose Hill.
"With your family?" Her eyebrows were shot up when he nodded, fighting back that deadly smirk of his. "All your relatives will be there?" He nods again and she scoffs completely agitated. "Don't be daft Harry!" She voices out her feelings borrowing an expression of his.
He laughs and it's impossible for her not to join him, her face growing hotter by the second. "I don't want to go without you, and mum will love to have you there," that's what she fears.
"I don't know Harry, might be weird." He disagrees right away.
"It's close to Liverpool, we could spend a day or two over there." The past week he's been trying to learn as many things from her as possible and if he chooses his words carefully he can convince her. "Pay a visit to Anfield, The Cavern." His fake nonchalant attitude makes her roll her eyes, "Strawberry Fields is there too, you know?" She agrees and he kisses the back of her hand to mask the proud grin on his face.
In the past, she was always careful not to let a partner know how deeply she cared about them. The thought of being vulnerable made her lose her mind, thinking it was a sign of weakness. But seeing Harry drive through the English countryside, singing at the top of his lungs to Mistletoe and Wine by Cliff Richard and smiling just for her. It made her want to tell him, but not even all the words in every single language ever spoken by humanity could be enough to give him an idea of how much she cares for him.
There hasn't been a proper kiss between them, it puzzled her at first. Because his gaze seemed to be constantly directed to her lips. But then there was all the touching, holding hands, tucking her to his side when walking, his tender touch before hugging her goodbye. And the way he was always running his hands through her hair.
"She's a friend," he introduces her to his mum Anne and sister Gemma, after saying her name, chewing on the word like it's that mint gum he carries in his purse everywhere he goes. "Was a bloody tourist when I first met her but now... she's a proper Londoner." She doubts it, but she agrees on them being friends and she likes it, a lot.
They help Anne and Gemma to set the table and the finishing touches for dinner. Only three more family members show up and she chastises Harry for making her believe that all of his offspring was going to attend. That's how they usually spend Christmas Eve back home, she explains.
It saddens him, the thought of her going back to her home country in five days time. All the way across the Atlantic, six hours behind him. It's almost unfair.
"Tell me more about it," Harry's curiosity is genuine, thinking that he would love to know more about her traditions. Perhaps even be lucky enough to share them someday.
"We don't have these," she regrets taking a tube of brightly coloured paper. "We have piñatas though." She adds proudly and Harry's jaw hangs open in surprise.
"No fucking way!" He is immediately told off by his mum as they all take a seat at the table. "I thought that was only allowed for birthdays."
"There's no rules for that!" She takes the Christmas cracker out again and Harry takes it from the other end. "So, I just pull it?" He nods and it makes a noise revealing the present.
"You get the crown." Harry unfolds it before helping her fix it atop her head. "And the little toy, what is it?oh... I get the joke!" His family groans, his sister hiding her face in hands, but all she sees is the glint in Harry's eye before he reads. "Who's Rudolph's favourite pop star?"
"I don't know," she's the only one that was going to ask him. And she really wanted to know.
"Beyon-sleigh!" Harry watches in delight how the girl before him snorts at the silly and not so funny joke.
"That was awful." She confessed.
"Agree, next year we'll make our own. Riddles only." His mum adds and Harry protests right away but is shushed by Gemma's voice reading out loud the riddle from her cracker.
Next year, she will probably be spending the day with her numerous family, she thinks. Harry will be here again, telling awful jokes, pulling away Christmas crackers. Perhaps he will bring another person with him. She tries to push the poisonous thoughts down with a big gulp of wine. Only succeeding when Harry's left hand rests on her knee, his thumb rubbing circles on her skin exposed by her ripped jeans while he listens to his sister talk about her podcast. It marvels her how he is there, for everybody.
After dinner they play family games and Harry makes a fake tantrum after his cousin Chloe claims his companion for her team.
"She's mine!" He argues, his long arms embracing her easily. She ends up joining the other team, but the quick kiss she bravely gave to his neck before he let her go, confirmed the words he spoke.
There is a three step process Harry follows to know he's fallen in love. If he finds himself talking about them with every living soul, if he does something they like just because it makes him miss them less and finally if he takes them home to meet his mum. He knows that for the past few days, there was no other topic to discuss with him than the girl sitting beside him in the sofa. He's been drinking tea every morning, just because it reminds him of her. He watches her talk to his mother about how much they like Rod Stewart and knows that he's in too deep.
It should bother him, because she will leave. And all these moments spent, will be just distant memories for him to torture himself over and over again. He wants to feel the angst of knowing that maybe she will forget him, maybe she has a partner back home. He gives up on trying to feel miserable, agreeing with that song from earlier. It is a time to rejoice in the good that we see, a time for living and believing.
Right now all he sees is her, he sighs before tucking her by his side, her brown doe eyes meeting his briefly before sneaking an arm around his waist. She continues to chat with Anne and Gemma even after the rest of the guests leave, still holding onto him. Harry can see the fondness radiating from his mother and sister for the girl in his arms. He sees trust, and he smiles thinking of a new beginning.
What a beautiful sight.

---------------------------
Weightlessness, the cold water holding your body up.  Nothing else matters but this, your mind completely focused on pushing your muscles to their limit, to victory.  Your arms moving with purpose, propelling you towards the touch pad, you are staring up at the bright lights on the ceiling through the water droplets splashing onto your goggles.  Red flags that hang over the pool now come into your view and you know what that means, you are only a few arm lengths away from the finish.  You use every last bit of your strength and glide with an outstretched arm, reaching your destination.
As soon as your hand hits you instantly tear off your goggles and whip your head around to the screen high on the wall to your right.  Adrenaline flooding through your body.
1: Y/L/N 00:57.96
Your face lit up instantly and you pumped a fist into the air, you grabbed on to the bars under the starting block and pulled yourself out of the pool, speed walking over to your team who were cheering and hugging you.
“I broke a minute!” you squealed “Oh my god I can’t believe it”
You’d been aiming for breaking a minute in your 100 yard backstroke your entire high school experience.  Now finally at 18 and a senior only a few weeks away from graduating, you’d finally done it and by way more than you thought you could.  You were so proud of your hard work paying off
Your spring team coach shot you a thumbs up and a wide grin from the other side of the pool.
------------------------------
After the meet was over your coach pulled you aside with an excited look on her face, putting a letter into your hand.
“There was a scout here from Bangtan University, and they think you have potential.  They are inviting you to a summer swim training camp for incoming freshmen and if you can get to 55.0 by the end of summer you’d get a full ride scholarship.  Even if you don’t make the time, they want you on the team and are offering a pretty nice scholarship” she clapped her hands together.
You clapped a hand over your mouth
 “Seriously?”
You hadn’t thought that you were anything that amazing, you weren’t the best swimmer on the team overall but you couldn’t argue, that backstroke time you’d just swam was quite impressive.  If this team saw potential in you, you weren’t going to pass up the opportunity to prove yourself.
----------------------------------
You had pulled into the parking lot of the university’s athletic center, many others were pulling in and walking over to the pool doors.  You felt so much excitement and nervousness at meeting your new teammates.
You noticed that there were also men that were in the crowd of swimmers making their way to the pool doors, you hadn’t realized this was going to be a co-ed training.  You’d only swam with your girls from high school and it was the same team since you were in elementary school.  One of your best friends had also been offered a place on a college team, but to a different school.  You were going to miss her a lot, but you’d still get to see each other occasionally, and you were excited for this new adventure.
You grabbed your bag that held your towel and gear and followed the crowd to the pool.
After getting changed and admiring the incredible size of the facility you walked out to the pool where you could see the rest of the team gathered around a white board waiting for the coach to give further instruction.
You found an open space to sit down on the floor next to a blonde tall man with broad shoulders, the perfect figure for a swimmer, you wondered if he did butterfly.  His shape and muscles seem to be very fitting for that stroke.  He was shirtless and you had to try to not make things awkward by staring at him or any of the other shirtless men scattered among the swimmers here.
The man turned to you and extended a hand for you to shake.
“I’m Jin” he smiled at you.
You shook his hand and returned his friendly smile “y/n”
The coach now started a speech introducing himself to the group and talking about the types of things that would take place here at the training camp, you’d get to compete against other colleges in practice meets and you’d be doing many time trials throughout the summer to see how you were improving.
As the coach was starting to explain the workout for the day, the sound of a door slamming loudly from the direction of the locker rooms.
A tall man with gorgeous jet black hair walked out from the men's locker room.  He was wearing the same tight fitting speedo that most all the other men were wearing and was wearing a white warm-up jacket that had a blue stripe down the side.  You let your eyes linger on how it was completely unzipped and exposing his extremely sculpted and muscular chest.
“Ah Mr. Jeon.” the coach glared. “Thanks for gracing us with your presence today.”
You half expected the coach to yell at the man and tell him to get out.  Showing up to your first day of practice was quite rude and didn’t really show good commitment to the team in your opinion.
The man just silently stood back behind the rest of the team with his arms crossed, nodding for the coach to continue.  He was quite cocky you thought.  He must be really good to be able to get away with an attitude like that.  And as rude as it was, you also found it slightly amusing.
The rest of practice went well, you work your hardest and tried to prove yourself, you ended up becoming the lane leader for your lane and were quite proud of that.
There were eight lanes and it was split up by your times,  the fastest swimmers all in lane eight and the slowest in lane one.  You had surprisingly landed yourself in lane three which had surprised you, you weren’t the worst, and that was something!
That cocky man Mr. Jeon had ended up in lane eight, and you noticed he was lane leader at that.  You were right, he had the speed to back up his cocky attitude.  The tall blonde named Jin was also in lane eight right behind him, so he must be the second best swimmer on your team.
After practice was over you decided to step out of your comfort zone and approach him.
He was pulling himself out of the pool to sit on the edge, pushing his wet strands of hair out of his face and breathing heavily from the workout.
“Hey” you said with an awkward wave.
He glanced up at you, raising an eyebrow wondering what you might want from him.
“I-I just... wanted to say, I s-saw you swim and, y-you did a really good job, I mean, you swim well.  Your stroke is p-pretty, I mean pretty good.” Fuck why were you being so fucking awkward.  You weren’t very good at making new friends, but something in you just really wanted to get to know this man, and hoped that maybe he could help you improve on your times so that you could get that scholarship.
He chuckled at your bumbling around.
“Ah, Thank you” he stood and started to walk away.
“What's your stroke!” you yelled after him.
He turned and smiled “Freestyle.” he said simply, starting to walk away again.  He probably thinks you’re a complete weirdo but swimmers were always hungry, so...here goes nothing…
“Wanna grab some dinner?”
He spun around again.  “Uh,” he thought for a moment “Yeah sure, why not.  Meet me outside the doors after we get changed, did you have something in mind?”
Shit, you had nothing in mind.  “I was thinking pasta?”
He put a hand to his chin in thought, “Okay, I know a good place.”
----------------------------------------
You followed in your car behind Jungkook’s car to the place he had suggested for the two of you to eat and then got a booth seat at the restaurant, sitting across from each other.
Jungkook ordered a big glass of milk and you chuckled a bit at that.
“Good for the muscles” He shrugged cutely with a smirk.
“So how long have you been swimming?” you asked, trying to make some small talk and swimming was basically your only conversation point even with your non swimmer friends.
“My whole life pretty much”
“Yeah me too! I took one year off where I tried track but, I discovered I’m more of a water creature” you laughed.
Jungkook stared at you, narrowing his eyes.  You thought you must’ve been being awkward or offended him somehow without realizing it.
“I feel like I’ve seen you before…” Jungkook says.
Oh.
“Um, not sure…” you didn’t quite know what to say.
“4th grade! Summer swim team!” he exclaims.  “y/n y/l/n right?”
Oh my god, you had actually done a co-ed swim team once when you were younger at a pool your family had a membership to.  You had totally forgotten about that.
“Jeon...Jungkook!?” it suddenly clicked.  “Holy shit, yes, I remember you”
He grinned and took a large drink of his milk leaving an adorable milk mustache on his upper lip.
The two of you talked for the rest of the meal reminiscing on your memories of the team you were on together.  He had changed so much from the skinny dorky boy you’d known.  He was a man now and had grown up well.
Suddenly he stopped mid conversation as his phone rang, he put up a finger and mouthed a sorry.
“Hey hon” he answered. “Yeah-” he nodded “Okay I’ll be there soon, Just finishing up a meal with an old friend I reconnected with today…” he paused as the voice on the other end of the line said something “Yep, see you soon babe, love ya” he clicked the button to hangup.
“Girlfriend?” you asked, slightly jealous for reasons you couldn’t quite understand, it’s not like you had any place to feel that way. You’d only just re-met him today, and he was an attractive man, of course he had a girlfriend.
“Yep, I gotta hurry up and get going, she’s had a rough day at work”
----------------------------------------------
The next couple weeks you went to practice every day besides Sunday and each day you and Jungkook would end up hanging out for a bit after. Sometimes going out to eat, and sometimes you’d stay late for him to help give you some tips on your swimming form.  You were happy to have made a friend like him.  You feel like you’d already improved so much.
Today was the first practice meet you were going to have with another school and It was a home meet.  You were nervous but also couldn’t wait to see how much you’d improved.
Right before you were about to enter the locker room to get changed Jungkook yelled out your name and motioned for you to come over to where he stood.   He was next to a skinny, curly haired blonde woman with glasses, she was dressed all in pink, tiny hot pink shorts, a tiny baby pink crop top that exposed her tanned stomach, and a pink headband holding back her perfect hair.
“Y/n this is my girlfriend Missy” Jungkook motioned towards the girl.
You tried to give your friendliest smile and extended your hand out to the girl.  She didn’t return your gesture and instead rolled her big blue eyes slightly and looked you up and down while blowing a big bubble from the gum she was chewing loudly.  When it popped she turned to Jungkook
“Kookieee, I don’t wanna wait in the stands for you, it’s way too hot up there.  Can’t I just be with you in the pool area” She spoke in a ditzy voice while she pouted, crossing her arms and pushing her perfect perky breasts up as she did, almost as if she was trying to use them to convince Jungkook to cave into her.
“Missy I told you, you aren’t allowed in the pool area during a meet, I promise it won’t be too bad up in the stands.  Do you need some money to go to concessions and buy a cold drink or something” he whispered, but it was loud enough for you to hear.
You shifted uncomfortably, debating on whether you should just leave to go get ready for the meet now.  Jungkook’s girlfriend obviously didn’t care for meeting you, and you didn’t quite care for her at all.
Missy groaned childishly and just put a flat palm out towards Jungkook, which had him scrambling through his pockets and pulling out his wallet to put probably five times more money than she needed in her hand for the drink.  Yet she still held her hand out until Jungkook put even more money into her hand.  Then she instantly spun around on her heels and left.
“Nice meeting you!” you yelled after her, well aware that you were lying.
You turned to Jungkook with wide eyes.
“Wow.  Whipped.” you chuckled.
He sheepishly ran a hand through his hair, “She’s actually awesome once you get to know her.”
You shrugged, “I’ll take your word for it” though you can’t imagine anything about that girl that would end up being a redeeming quality.
“It really does get hot up in the stands…” he tried to stand up for his girlfriend.
You chuckled “Well you gave her enough for like twenty cold drinks so I think she’ll be fine”
Jungkook and You went to your separate locker rooms to get ready and then out to the pool.
The meet was going extremely well, you had placed in second in the last heat of the backstroke and improved a lot on your time just in the few weeks you’d been training.  You couldn’t be happier.
It came time for Jungkook to swim the 200 Free, you made sure to stand on the edge of the pool  with the rest of the teammates where he could see when he went to take a breath, while you cheered enthusiastically for him.
“Go Go Goooo Jungkook!” you yelled, jumping up and down in your spot.  He was amazing, his muscular arms pulled him forward through the water so gracefully, he was at least a full body length ahead of the other swimmers in his heat.  It was incredible watching him.
You happened to glance up into the crowd to see Missy sitting on her phone, sipping on a lemonade and texting, not even looking up from it once to see how Jungkook was doing.
It irritated you quite a bit.  Why was she even here?
Jungkook finished in first, no surprise.  He seemed happy with his time, a wide grin on his face while he was hopping out of the pool.
You ran over to him, both hands out for a double high five that he returned instantly.
The rest of the meet went well.  Your college ended up winning overall which put everyone in high spirits.
After getting dressed and exiting the locker room out to the lobby of the aquatic center you decided you wanted to at least try to extend an olive branch to Jungkook’s less than pleasant girlfriend.  You didn’t want to lose Jungkook as a friend over something as silly as not getting along with Missy.
You found Jungkook standing in the lobby looking around.
“Hey you!” you smiled as you approached him “Do you and Missy wanna go out for a celebratory dinner on me?”
“That sounds awesome! I just gotta find Missy.  Did you see her come down from the stands?” he looked confused as he scanned the crowd for her.
“I didn’t, I’ll help you look around for her”
He nodded and the two of you walked through the crowd to try and find her.  She was nowhere to be seen and the crowd was slowly getting thinner and thinner so it should’ve made it easier to see her.  Odd.
After about ten minutes of searching the whole crowd was gone and it was only you and Jungkook standing in the lobby.
“Okay, y/n, I’m kind of nervous.  Where could she be?”  Jungkook's eyes were full of worry.
“Maybe she wasn’t feeling well and went home early?” you suggested.
“She would’ve texted me…” his brow furrowed as he checked his phone to see if maybe he had missed a message or call.
The two of you started to walk some of the hallways of the building looking around.
Then an odd noise hit your ears, there was some giggling coming from a storage room.
“That sounds like...What would she be doing in here?” Jungkook gripped the door handle and swung it open.
His eyes almost flying out of their sockets at the sight of Missy completely naked her legs wrapped around your teammate Jin.
“What the fuck!” Jungkook screamed angrily. Causing Missy and Jin to realize for the first time that they had been walked in on.
Missy instantly jumped off of Jin, and Jin scrambled to cover himself up.
“Jungkook wait!” Missy squealed as Jungkook slammed the door shut on the two of them, shaking slightly while he stomped down the hall away from them.
You followed right behind him silently, not really knowing what to say.
“Babe wait!” suddenly Missy was sprinting down the hall after the two of you, grabbing Jungkook by the shoulder trying to turn him around to face her.  He shook her off and kept walking, trying to just make it out the doors of the building and to his car, wanting to get as far away from her as possible.
“Jungkook, please I can explain!” Missy was sobbing.
“Missy.  Maybe now’s not the time.” You softly spoke at her in a serious tone.
“Sorry bitch but no one was talking to you.” Missy snapped at you.
At that Jungkook finally spun around to face her.
“Don’t you dare Missy.  You’re the bitch right now okay? And I never want to fucking see your face again.  So please, leave me alone, go home.” he growled.
Missy froze on the spot, Jungkook had never spoken to her so harshly before.  You felt that she deserved even worse than just some mean words after what she’d done, but that's none of your business.
---------------------------------------
You drove Jungkook home, telling him it was probably not a good idea for him to drive himself due to the state of mind he was in, and he reluctantly agreed.
You pulled up to his house and the two of you sat in silence for a moment before Jungkook spoke.
“I was with her since eighth grade…” he choked out, covering his face with his hands as he was starting to tear up.
You put a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.  Wishing that you had the right words.
----------------------------------------
Jungkook missed practice for the next two days.  You texted him asking where he was both days and each time he answered with a simple ‘don’t feel well sry’
When he finally returned to practice he seemed to be pushing himself even harder than he was before.  You wondered if it was hard for him to swim in the same lane as Jin.
And your curiosity was answered when you were taking a breather after a set and heard some commotion going on from lane eight.
“What the fuck did you just say?” You heard Jungkook screaming.
“I said, it’s not my fault your girl is a SLUT” Jins voice boomed
You looked over to see Jungkook starting to pull his fist back, he wasn’t able to land his punch before a few of the other teammates from the lane were holding him back.
The coach ran over and tried to defuse the situation.
“That's it. Everyone out of the water!” The coach yelled to the whole team.  You all hopped out and went to sit on the benches or the floor to wait for further instruction.
“You two.  Up on the blocks” the coach motioned for Jin and Jungkook to comply with his orders.
“100 Freestyle.” the coach informed them.
The two men glared at each other and hopped on the block.
You thought this was probably a good way to settle things without violence.  Jungkook was the fastest on the team, and freestyle wasn’t even Jin’s stroke, so it would feel good for him to beat Jin after all that went down.
“Ready. Set…” The coach blew the whistle to signal the start.
Jungkook dove off the block, his arms outstretched and strong as he hit the water.
You stood up and yelled “Gooooo Jungkook!” then motioned for the rest of the team to stand and cheer.  Most of them did, all cheering for Jungkook.
But...the cheers started to die down on the last lap.  Because...Jungkook was losing? No.  Not good.
Jin touched the wall about a few seconds before Jungkook, a big smirk on his face as he turned to him.
“Better luck next time buddy.” he chuckled.
Jungkook was in shock. He...lost, he never lost…
He hopped out of the pool fuming, stomping off to the locker room, kicking a stack of kickboards and knocking them all across the pool floor on his way in.
You covered your mouth with your hand.  Poor Jungkook.  Your heart was breaking for your friend and you had no idea what to do.
After practice was over you were walking out to your car and noticed that Jungkook’s car was still there.  You’d thought he left but he must still be somewhere back in the building.
You decided to go and find him, returning back to the pool area and searching around.  Everyone else including the coach had already left, so you decided you would take a chance and check the men’s locker room.
When you entered you heard a shower running and walked towards the sound.
You found Jungkook sitting on the grey tile floor with his back against the wall, eyes closed, letting the water fall onto his face.
“J-Jungkook, are you okay…” You said quietly.
He jumped, and snapped his eyes open, wiping the water out of them quickly to see you better.
“Shit y/n you scared me.” he whispered.
“Sorry, I just saw you were still here and wanted to check on you” you explained.
He nodded, bending his head down and letting the water fall on the back of his neck.
“Well, I’m fine” he spoke quietly.
You were still wearing your suit under your clothes, so you decided to take off your sweats and jacket and sit next to him in the shower.
“This is probably not very sanitary” you laughed as you sat down.
“The water washes the germs away” he mumbled, his head still down on his knees.
“I’m not sure I buy that one, but I’ll let you have it” you chuckled, leaning your head towards him and resting it on his shoulder.
“I’m really sorry Jungkook” you got more serious.
He lifted his head a bit, turning to look at you.  “I just don’t understand what I did wrong.  I treated her like a queen, I gave her everything.” he sighed “I haven’t seen her since the meet, but I have to swim with Jin right next to me every day now.  And hes so fucking smug about it, and now on top of everything hes somehow faster than me” Jungkook spoke with his hands emphasizing his anger.
“He’s definitely not faster than you, I think you’re off your game a bit cuz of everything that happened.”
“Still…” Jungkook sighed “That was embarrassing and just the icing on the cake of the worst week of my life”
He leaned his head so it was resting against yours.
“Hmm, I might have an idea on how to cheer you up!” you grinned, lifting your head and meeting his eyes.
He looked confused and then suddenly he seemed to form an idea of what you might have meant.
He brought his face close to yours, and before you could tell him that wasn’t what you meant his lips had landed on your own.  He tasted like chlorine, and his lips were so soft.  As much as you enjoyed it, you pulled back quickly.
“I-I didn’t mean.  I wasn’t trying to say that…” you stuttered out in shock that you let that happen.  He was vulnerable right now after having his heart broken, you shouldn’t take advantage of that.
Jungkook looked mortified, “You didn’t want me...fuck.  Y/n I’m so sorry.  I’m not thinking right” he shook his head embarrassed.
“It’s fine Jungkook” you chuckled “It was...nice actually.  I just don’t think we should, we’re friends, and you are going through something.”
He still looked ashamed of acting on what he assumed you had wanted “So...what did you mean?”
“I was thinking a midnight star swim?”
Jungkooks face lit up, “Oh my god I haven’t done that in years”
There was an outdoor pool in your town that most of the swimmers knew how to sneak into at night.  There weren’t any cameras or security, and the fence was easy to jump.  It was up on a hill and if you went on a clear night, it had the most beautiful view of the stars.  So everyone called it a star swim.
“I’m so down for that” Jungkook nodded excitedly.  “Oh, and thanks for not being weird about…” he trailed off looking down.
You chuckled, “Weird about what?”  you smirked knowingly.
-------------------------------------------------------
It was about 11:30 when you pulled up to Jungkook’s house.  You hadn’t stopped thinking about the kiss since it happened.  At first you really had planned on brushing it off like nothing happened, but the memory of the feeling and taste of him wouldn’t stop pushing itself into the front of your mind. It was so persistent that you almost cancelled your plans with him, faking being sick or something like that.  But, he had thanked you for not making it weird, and that’s exactly what you’d be doing if you cancelled plans.  Just pretend it never happened. You told yourself.  Yet that seemed so impossible.
Jungkook was skipping out to the car not long after you arrived.  He seemed to be in better spirits, which is exactly what this was for, you were quite relieved to see a smile on his face as he hopped into the passenger seat.
“Sup Y/n”
“Sup Jungkook” you chuckled
-----------
As was usual for star swims you parked down the road from the pool and not in the parking lot so as not to be suspicious.  The two of you walked in the dark towards your destination.
You didn’t want to use your phone’s flashlight as you walked just in case someone saw.  As common as it was, it was not in any way legal for the two of you to be going into the pool at this hour, and you were slightly nervous about getting caught.
But, because of the lack of light you happened to trip on a dip in the road you hadn’t noticed.  You fell forward and let out a small gasp, but before you got close to hitting the ground, two strong arms wrapped around you and caught you just in time.  Jungkook pulled you up and steadied you.
“Woah there” Jungkook whispered.
You awkwardly stood up straight, quite embarrassed of your clumsiness.
“Shit, thanks…”
“Here,” Jungkook grabbed your hand “I have good night vision, I’ll guide you”
For some reason, the small and seemingly platonic gesture of his fingers intertwined with yours made your heart skip a beat.  The kiss popped into your mind again.
No, he's just confused because of everything that happened with his ex, you aren’t going to let yourself just be a rebound, he’s just your friend! Your mind tried to reason with your heart.  Your heart didn’t seem to want to listen, it continued to flutter as you walked hand in hand with Jungkook the rest of the way.
When you got to the silver chain link fence Jungkook motioned for you to go first, offering to help give you a boost up.  You declined and pulled yourself up easily,
“You forget I’m pretty strong too Kook” You winked at him as you landed on the other side.
There was something behind the smile and soft, admiring look he gave you through the holes in the metal fence where he now stood opposite you.  Maybe your stupid heart was making something out of nothing, but something flickered over his expression, that seemed like...nah, it couldn’t be.
He hopped over effortlessly and landed next to you.  He almost instantly pulled his white t-shirt up and over his head.
You’d seen him shirtless so many times at practice, but being here at night, and alone with him had you feeling slightly shy.  Trying not to look his way you decided to get undressed into your suit that was under your clothes as well.
You cursed yourself for deciding it was a good idea to wear a skimpy bright red two piece.  You thought it would be more comfortable, but, you should’ve just worn your completely unattractive practice one piece suit.  Then you wouldn’t have to notice the way Jungkook’s eyes were bugging out of his skull upon seeing your figure.
You noticed him bite at his lower lip and gulp, not being able to tear his eyes away from you.
“Ready to swim?” You asked, hoping to snap him out of his trance.
He nodded, his eyes still glued to the skin right above the fabric of your bikini top.
You decided to take his view away, jumping into the pool quickly.
Jungkook wasn’t far behind, taking off his shorts so he was wearing only his tight workout speedo, then doing a dive into the pool.
You swam over to the edge of the pool, resting your arms on the side and laying out on your back to stare up at the sky.  It was peaceful and calm, the dark black sky was lit up with sparkling lights, and they reflected almost like a mirror in the water of the pool.
It was one of the most beautiful sights in the world to you.
Jungkook slowly swam over to you, not wanting to disturb the stillness of the water and break the calm glass like reflection of the stars.  It did slightly, but it almost made it more beautiful, the ripple in reflection now looked like the stars were dancing.
You felt Jungkook’s arm rest against your own.
“I’m not sorry that I kissed you” he whispered, almost like it wasn’t meant for you to hear.  Yet when you snapped your gaze over to him, he was looking right at you.  Staring at your lips, his eyes full of want.
“Jungkook...You just got out of a super long relationship that ended badly.  I don’t think you’re thinking clearly”
Jungkook sighed. “Honestly, she was so controlling and I always just did whatever she said.  I never realized how much of my life was just me following her orders until I left her.  It’s like I didn’t fully understand everything I was missing out on in life because of her.  I’m upset, mostly because I realize how much time I’ve wasted not being with someone good and kind who actually cared about me the way I care about them…”
Your heart was beating wildly and you had to take some deep and quiet breaths, trying to not make it noticeable to Jungkook how much he was affecting you.
“So I think I’m actually thinking more clearly than I have in quite a long time.” He smiled at you.
“I hope you find someone who treats you right Jungkook, you deserve it” you muttered, continuing your efforts to ignore that he was now staring over your whole body hungrily.
“Yeah…” he murmured, “They say sometimes there’s moments in life where you realize everything you’ve been searching for has been right in front of you the whole time.  I feel like maybe I…”
You suddenly jumped out of the pool, trying to stop him before he got any further with that thought.
You ran over to the diving board and sat on the very edge, your legs dangling off the edge.
“Um, this way...we don’t mess up the view with our movements.” You explained your awkward and sudden escape.
Jungkook sighed and got out of the water as well.
“Why are you avoiding me y/n.  I thought you weren’t going to make things weird after the kiss” he spoke as he started to walk over to the diving board.
“Shit. I-I’m not trying to make things weird, it's just, I don’t want you to think…It just sounds like you think that...”
“That you’d want to kiss me again?” his hands rested on the metal bars on either side of the board.  He was now standing right at the opposite end from where you sat. You turned around to face him, your back now to the pool with your legs still dangling off the edge.
“Exactly.”
“And you really don’t want to?” he cocked his head to the side.
You bit your lower lip nervously, of course you wanted to again.  Look at this gorgeous man, shirtless, muscular, and he’s almost begging for it.  But, this is your friend, you couldn’t just be his rebound.  So you regrettably settled on that as your next words.
“I’m not interested in being your rebound Jungkook” you almost snapped, realizing how harsh that came out, you added in a softer, “Sorry”
Jungkook seemed to not have lost his determination though.  He slowly walked towards where you sat.  He teased for a second like he was going to bounce the board and make you fly off.
“Don’t you dare!” you giggled.
Jungkook smirked, when he reached only a few steps in front of you he sat down facing you and hanging his legs off of either side of the board.
“If we hooked up, I wouldn’t think of you as a rebound…” Jungkook said quietly.
You sighed “Ugh, Jungkook, I still think it’d be a bad idea”
“Is it because you actually like me?” he said raising one eyebrow, “And you’re thinking ‘oh if I give into him now he’ll never be serious with me,’” he said trying to mimic your voice.
You reached out and smacked him on his arm, “My god, you are full of yourself aren’t you”
Jungkook let out a loud laugh and scooted forward on the bench a bit closer to you, your knees were touching now.
“But, what if I told you that I liked you.  Like... actually liked you.  At first I thought we were just good friends...but I think I’ve felt this way since that first day of practice.  So maybe I deserved getting cheated on like that.  In a way, I was cheating in my heart by liking you the way I do.”
You really didn’t know what to say.
“I...don’t know if it’s quite the same thing.  I’m not really any kind of relationship expert.  But, you definitely didn’t deserve what happened to you.  That’s all I know” You said then suddenly the entirety of what he said hit you.  You wanted to just toss yourself off the edge of this board, he really just said he liked you?
“You like me?” You said with your voice wavering.
“Ah you got that part now huh?” He chuckled.
“Jungkook are you sure…” your eyes widened as you trailed your gaze over his sinful half naked figure sitting in front of you.
“Quit trying to fight it y/n.  Let's just live in the moment, huh?”
Fuck.  You really were getting mentally exhausted by trying so hard to hold back your feelings.  You liked him, a lot, maybe not right away but now? Definitely. You leaned in close to him, hoping you weren’t about to ruin everything by caving in.
Jungkook’s mouth pulled into a smile as you inched closer to him.
“That’s my girl” he whispered, reaching a hand to the back of your neck to pull you in closer.  His lips touched yours gentle and smooth,  the kisses he pressed into you were so innocent compared to the way his eyes had been roaming you hungrily.
You started to speed the kisses up, running a hand through his soft locks of pitch black hair.  He groaned softly into your mouth as you touched him.
You felt an ache in your core just from these small kisses and touches, you couldn’t tell if you were wet from swimming or from your own arousal, you were deeper into your feelings for him than you’d even realized.
Jungkook’s hands gracefully trailed down from your head to your sides, the feeling of his fingers tracing your bare skin sent a shiver throughout your body.  You whimpered slightly when his hands reached the fabric of your bikini bottoms, he reached under your ass and pulled you up from where you sat and onto his lap.
The board bounced up and down at the movement, causing you to bounce on Jungkook’s lap.  He grunted softly at the feeling.
You could feel the hardness of his erection through his swim shorts, and you started to roll your hips against him, enjoying the friction and pressure that you could feel on your clit through the fabric of your suit.
If you had any doubts about whether or not you should be doing this, the feeling of his hands starting to untie the string of your suit that was resting on your neck, had washed them all away.
Your top fell down, exposing you to him.  He inhaled sharply and shook his head.
“I imagined this so many times.  And you just had to go and be better than any fantasy I could’ve come up with” He said breathily.
“You’re being cheesy” you giggled.
“I mean it though” he smiled, giving your breasts a small squeeze. Then taking each of your nipples between the tip of his thumb and index finger, pinching them lightly.
You moaned out lewdly and tossed your head back at the pleasurable feeling.
“Fuck” you hissed.
“You like that baby?” Jungkook smirked, already knowing the answer to that question but wanting to hear you say it.  Needing to know how it would sound to hear unending praises fall from your lips.
“I love it Jungkook” you gasp as he pinches you again, then brought his lips to one of your breasts, trading places with his fingers and nipping at you lightly.
“How much?” he asked, his breath warm against your tits as he spoke.
“So much, I love it so much Jungkook, you’re amazing. I want you so badly” you admitted.
Jungkook moaned against your skin at your words.
“Don’t feel shy to let me know you’re enjoying yourself babe.  I wanna know how good I make you feel” he whispered, pulling himself from your chest and planting sloppy kisses on your neck.
Jungkook started to move you off of his chest and lay you back on the diving board.  It shook up and down at the two of you moving around.  You laughed as you almost fell off at one point, Jungkook having to steady you with his hands on your hips.
He hovered over where you laid, his hands gripping the edge of the board in a plank position, and gave you a quick peck on your lips. He then pushed himself up, standing between your legs that hung off the side of the board.  He pulled his swim shorts down quickly and stood confidently with his hands on his hips showing himself off to you with a smirk.
You giggled wildly at his cockiness, which he mistook for you giggling at his...cock.
“Hey now.” He growled crossing his arms against his toned bare chest. “Don’t make me bounce you off this thing”
“Oh my god, no It’s just that you’re so cute.  Displaying yourself with that confidence” You assured him.
“Well, I have reason to be confident no?” he moved his eyebrows up and down, and motioning his hands down around his hips, gesturing to his erection.  He wasn’t wrong...He had plenty of reason to feel proud of the cock that was hanging between his legs, long and large.  You’d never been with someone as big as him and you started to feel slight nervousness as you anticipated and hoped for the feeling of the stretch.
Jungkook got down and balanced himself on his knees between your legs, pulling the string on one of the sides of your bikini bottoms.
You felt the fabric being lifted away after he’d untied it, and you were completely bare and exposed to him now.
He growled lowly.
“Fuck you have a perfect pussy”
“And you have a perfect cock” you returned.
He smiled widely, you had a feeling that a strong feeling of pride grew in him at your words.  And you were right, any bit of praise that you gave him made him even more excited to dive into your pussy and feel you around him, he wanted to hear how good he made you feel.
He gripped himself in one hand, trying his best to stay balanced as his other hand started to lightly touch your entrance.
You gasped at his touch, and tossed your head back,  you were right on the edge of the board and the feeling that one wrong move could throw both of you off into the water was scary and exciting.
You were seeing stars, literally as you stared up into the sky while two Jungkook’s fingers entered you, moving around and stretching you out, preparing you to take him.
“That feels so good Jungkook” you moaned.  His ego swelled at that and it only made him want to work harder to please you, increasing the speed of his fingers.
“Fuck” you whimpered out, gripping the sides of the board and trying not to squirm too much.
Suddenly, he pulled his fingers out, you pouted at the feeling of emptiness and loss of his touch.
But he was now pulling you on top of him and flipping the two of you around so he was laying in the spot where you were just seconds ago.
The sight was nothing less than magical.
You were sitting on top of him with your hands on his chest, the moonlight shining on his skin making him almost glow.  And framing his perfect face on every side from below was the dark water reflecting the stars from above, it looked like something straight out of an artsy indie movie.
You lifted your hips slightly and he brought a hand to position his cock at your entrance.
You lowered yourself down onto him excruciatingly slow, but you wanted to give yourself the chance to adjust to his thickness.
His hands squeezed your ass tightly as you sank down onto him, and he threw his head back in pleasure, biting down hard on his lower lip.
“Fuckkkk” he hissed once you had him completely sheathed inside your pussy.
You started to rock your hips slowly, not wanting to move too much and bounce the two of you off and down into the water.
But Jungkook seemed to be a bit overtaken by the feeling and started to grab your hips and lift you up, slamming you down onto him.  He set a steady pace of bringing your hips up and down onto him, and it was the most incredible feeling ever.  Every time you took him fully at that speed, the board would bounce and cause a second in and out, causing him to thrust up into you effortlessly.
“Jungkook, oh my god” you screamed out.  Jungkook grinned widely, loving how good he was making you feel.  It felt like a dream having you here riding him.
His hands continued to guide you up and down on his cock, the board bouncing made it hard to keep a steady pace now.
“You gonna cum for me baby? Use my cock however you need y/n” Jungkook moaned, releasing his grip on you and putting his hands behind his head.  You swore he was flexing his biceps right now.  So cocky, you thought.  Though, you couldn’t deny, he was so fucking hot like his.  He always seemed to have the goods to back up that cocky attitude of his.
You started to bounce and roll your hips around in small circles, it took a lot of effort to continue without having any support for your knees, you really had to thank yourself for all those ab exercises you’d been working on.
His cock was hitting you in all the right places now and you felt yourself approaching your high.
“J-Jungkook, I’m gonna cum” you whimpered.
“Yeah baby? My cock is gonna make you cum?” he smirked.
You nodded biting your lip while you stared down at the god like man below you.
“Say it.” he growled.
You figured it didn’t hurt to indulge him, he really was rocking your world right now.
“Jungkook, your fucking amazing, giant, sexy, cock is gonna make my pussy cum” you moaned.
“Fuck, hurry up if you’re gonna keep talking like that” he chuckled. “I’m so fucking close too y/n”
After a few more bounces your orgasm was on you, it ran like a tidal wave over your whole body, nothing you’d ever felt before could compare to the incredible feeling rushing over you.
Your walls tightened and spasmed around Jungkook’s cock, you had stilled your movements and fell down onto his chest, but he kept moving himself into you quickly, approaching his own orgasm.  His hips rolling up into you were greatly assisted by the bouncing of the board.
He gripped your ass hard and sped up even faster, his face contorting into an expression of intense pleasure.
“F-Fuck, Y/n baby” he groaned loudly, his nails biting into your ass cheeks and his head burried into to crook of your neck as he came.
At that moment he completely lost control of his balance, and you, who were also overcome with post orgasm bliss were in no place to steady the two of you.
And before you knew it both of you, clutched tightly onto one another, and him still twitching and emptying hot cum inside of you, were rolling off the board and crashing into the water.
The two of you were now completely submerged, bodies still intertwined and holding each other tightly, Jungkook brought you into a passionate kiss as you rose back up to the surface.
Once you reached air again he slowly pulled out of you and you both laughed wildly.
“Holy shit” you threw your head back and floated on your back savoring this blissful moment.
You turned to Jungkook who did an excited forward somersault in the water, which caused you to laugh even more.
“Well that's how fun that was for me” he chuckled as he paddled over to where you floated and kissed you on the cheek.
“You’re a dork” you shook your head.
“And amazing...giant...and sexy” he listed your previous words while he wiggled his eyebrows up and down.
“Yes that too”
“And completely falling for you…” he whispered.
You stared up to the stars, you swore you saw a shooting star right then.
You don’t know what you could possibly wish for in this moment.  Everything already felt so perfect.
You were completely falling for him too.

Chapter 19
As Hurricane was driving, this was the time for me to realize that everything I do is becoming worse for my situation. Hurricane notices the tears forming, looks at Jimmy, "Do you know how lucky you are for getting her out of there?" "How lucky am I?" he asked. Hurricane answered, "She can't be alone for far too long, she has to be feel safe somewhere otherwise she will go berserk."
"So, is there something within that we should know about?" he asked. Hurricane sighed, "I wish I knew what is going on but we don't know on what's happening within her." "So, you guys do not have an idea on what is going on with her?" asked Jimmy, "I hope she opens up finally to what she is hiding." "Can you 2 talk about something else, please?" I snapped.
It took a while but we managed to get back to my new soon-to-be Jimmy's new house, I walked in to smelling something Raven would make to the point where I am calm. I heard my PS4 go off, someone is turning on my game system, then I was led to my relaxing room by Jagaur, I ended up hearing Markiplier's voice.
I immediately sat down and tuned out everything that is happening, I want to distract myself before the guys come into my home. I was watching him playing Fran Bow, then I got bored and turned everything off. I went to my backyard, started to hum the melody tune of This Life is Mine, then M Shadows came to where I was.
I was tearing up because I was using so much emotion to the song, it was so powerful that I heard my Centaur self saying, "You are going to be alright, calm down, you have company." "I don't want to be bothered," I said to her and him. I heard from Matt softly asking, "Hey, are you alright?"
That actually surprised me, I turned around, "Just get it over with already, I can't take it anymore, say on what you came here for." "Alright, listen here," said Matt, "I don't know what is going on with you but you need to chill out!" "You've been very hostile to me ever since Zacky introduced me to you guys!" I yelled back, "What did you want me to do in that situation?"
"I've been trying to get you to know that we are all family, but you were so closed up like a bird locked up its cage, not being set free to spread its wings," he said, "When I really saw you with Jimmy, I thought you were playing a prank on me." "You still don't know me enough, I wanted to open up to you so bad but you always keep up this tough guy persona," I said, "I don't open to people who think they are all that."
"When I saw Jimmy a second time, being himself again, made me realize on what was going on," said M Shadows, "Somehow you brung him back from the dead." "He made the choice of wanting to be alive again," I said to him, then shout at Jimmy, "By the way, Jimmy, aren't you going to do something to Matt?"
Then without a second thought, Matt got his ass kicked by Jimmy, then Jimmy said, "That's for being an ASS to this lovely lady here!" "Yeah I deserved it," said Matt, "By the way, how are you here while you are sleeping in your bed, Ms Spencer?" "Oof," said Jimmy. I sighed, "That's not my true name, it's my cover name." "Then what is your real name?" asked Matt.
I led Matt to the living room, I'm guessing that Brooks can see me as well as the others, I looked at Jimmy, he said, "I didn't want him to feel left out." "Alright, thanks for that information," I said to him. I cleared my throat, everyone looked at me, Brian asked, "Whoa, what is happening?" "I'm about to reveal on why I was sent here," I said.
I began, "I was trying to keep something at bay where I am from when I received something in the mail, saying that I should help out an old friend, it was sent by Zack here. He wanted me to put everything at peace by putting Jimmy, your old drummer, to eternal rest, but he told me that Jimmy wasn't at rest."
"So, what happened next?" asked Matt. I continued, "I made my way here with the help of someone who was familiar with this part of the world. He goes by the name William Hunnicut, which I know him as Hurricane, but um, when I approached Jimmy, Brian thought that I fell asleep but when really I was outside of my body." "Whoa, we can do that, since when?" asked Brian.
Onyx snapped, "Only certain people can do that, you dolt!" "Easy, Onyx," I said, "Anyway, my actual name Akari Itsuki Shiba, everyone calls me Akari." "I see, why hide your name?" asked Brooks. I told them all, "So, I can know that I can turn to you when I'm troubled with something." "Of course we are always going to be here," said Gates.
"Also, about that job I have currently," I sighed, "Where I am from, I put souls to rest in heaven or sent them to Hell. My job is purify souls who turned into these things called Hollows." "Which we will reveal on how she made Jimmy be alive again," said Onyx. I growled, "Stop interrupting me, Onyx!!"
He took a step back, nodded, I continued, "Which is ironic, seems how me and our other friends are Half Hollows with powers that have somewhat the same ability." "What power does Onyx have?" asked Zacky. I answered, "He is the pure source of Darkness." "Element of Darkness? Wow, what's your Element?" asked Matt. I shrugged, "I don't know for sure. But Jimmy's power is Speed, he can go to any kind of speed he wants."
"Hey Akari," said Jimmy, "I think I just found a solution on what your element might be." "Really, what is it?" I asked. He looked at me, "Spirit." When he said that, I immediately got light headed, everyone was seeing my eyes starting to go ghostly white, which means Jimmy might be right if I responded in such a way like this.
It took a while for me to come through, Brooks asked, "Are you alright for now?" "Yeah, it just took me a while to gain my conscious back," I said to him. I looked to who was making sure I was alright, it was Jimmy, then I asked Jimmy, "Have you chose a weapon of choice?" "I have, I chose unlimited daggers," he said.
I nodded, knowing that will be helpful in the later future, I looked around, Matt ended up saying, "Thanks for telling us this, I know it took a lot of courage for you to say on what was said." He's finally being friendly? I guess he was still in pain after what happened to his friend, I couldn't help but smile.
I gave the house keys to Jimmy, "This is your house, I am planning on going back to where I came from knowing that my job here is almost done I just need to know if you are going to stay here or come with me." "I want to stay," said Jimmy, "I guess that since I have the Speed Element, I can get to you where ever you need me." "Just know that you are not alone in this world," said Zacky, "We love you for who you are and what you stand for."
"And, quick quiz, what are you going to stand for, Jimmy?" I asked. I was not expecting this answer from the guys, I hear all of them say, "We stand for Spirit." I could not help but feel so welcomed, Johnny said, "Which sucks that you were only here for doing a simple job, we would love to see you more often than doing your job."
He had a point, I was starting to feel on what Rukia felt, she didn't want to leave but she had to, as I went into my bedroom, began to pack so I could go back feeling all alone again. I always hated that feeling, it doesn't help that I can't speak to Ukitake anymore because it's not the real him as I was told multiple times.
Jimmy could sense this going through my mind, "We are only one text away or one phone call away." "I know that but I can't help feeling this way," I said, "The person who made me feel like I'm needed is no longer with me." "I know it hurts but you need to move on," he said, not knowing it would provoke something within me.
My eyes immediately turned red, shouting at him, "Stop saying that!! You have no idea on how he meant so much to me!!" "What about your actual father?" Rev asked. I turned around, "No one replaces him!!! Not even Talon!! He's the one who keeps pressuring me to forget Jushiro Ukitake!!"
It clicked for him, he got information from Kyoraku saying that his old friend took care of a little orphan girl, which happened to be me. Ukitake meant everything to me, nothing replaces him, not even Hurricane or Talon. Even mother and everyone else knew that, Talon, he needs to get his act straight because he's only pushing me away from me calling him that.
Jimmy could feel this ominous feeling coming from me, "Alright I'm sorry for provoking you, I had no idea he was doing that towards you. I hope that there is a way for you to regain his soul back." "I hope so as well," I said, "Because there is now this empty void where Ukitake was. He was my entire world, he knew what would happen to me if I was alone for far too long." "You lose control, Kyoraku told me," said Jimmy.
I got all of my stuff ready to go back to the cottage, Hurricane notices on how hesitant I was to go back while I walked into the airport to go back, "We'll bring him back, just hang in there." "I just want to let Talon to know that nothing can replace him," I tell him, "I know it hurts him to realize but he needs to know that important thing."

Here’s my next entry for @badthingshappenbingo! Just one prompt left after this!
I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING PROMPTS! The single-bone marks on the card indicate which prompts I have received and am going to write, and I finally have prompts that will earn me a bingo once they’ve been posted (but they’re not posted yet)!
This fic has also been posted to FFN and AO3, so you can check it out on my Assortment of Broken Bones collection on there if you like!
This prompt was suggested by @actingwithportals! I went with a slightly different interpretation, since I don’t really want to hurt Miguel. XD; Hope you enjoy!
Prompt: Outnumbered in a Fight Characters: Miguel, Abel, Abuelita (post-movie, pre-epilogue)
---~~~---
"Abel?"
Miguel's cousin looked up from his textbook—he was studying for a big test, and Miguel hated to bother him, but he was pretty sure this was going to drive him crazy if he didn't ask for help. "Um... could you... help me with a computer thing?"
Abel made a face, tossing his textbook across the table. "Sure. Can't be worse than studying for history, I guess."
Grinning, Miguel hurried off to the living room where an old computer sat in the corner, a pair of more modern headphones hooked up to it. The latter was a very recent addition, purchased shortly after the music ban was lifted. Before then, their computer had no sound at all—the speakers had immediately been tossed as soon as they'd acquired it. Now that it was equipped with headphones, many of the Riveras had been taking advantage of it... which was the problem.
"Look at this," Miguel said, waving a hand at the monitor as he scrolled through Youtube.
Abel squinted at the monitor. "Okay... What am I looking at?"
"Look, it's all history videos... I think those are from Papá, and... and a few music things I like, but there's also..." Miguel made a face. "Makeup tutorials." He scrolled past several recommendations with particularly atrocious thumbnails—clearly things recommended to their Tía Gloria.
"Huh. So...?"
"Could you... show me how to sign up? So it can recommend me the things I want? I think I'm gonna go crazy if I have to see another makeup tutorial."
"That's all?" Laughing, Abel gently shoved Miguel away from the computer and took a seat. "Sure, if that's what you want. But uh..." He glanced around the family room—no one else was there at the moment. "Don't let anyone know I did this for you, all right? You're kinda slightly too young to sign up."
"Pff, just by a month," Miguel argued.
With that settled, he watched as Abel guided him through making an email address (Miguel chose the name "GuitarraYZapatos05"), and, through there, set him up with an account. "And... there," Abel said, slipping off the stool. "You're all done. Just log off whenever you're done."
"¡Gracias!" Miguel slid back onto the stool, and Abel left him to browse the site.
Eagerly he put the headphones on and typed a song into the search bar—he'd known how to navigate the website for some time now, even before the ban had lifted, thanks to his friends showing him videos on occasion when he visited their houses. It was a lot nicer to be able to do it whenever he wanted—looking up songs he'd heard in the plaza and watching videos of people playing them. It was a great way to learn to play the songs, since he'd taught himself to do it by sight. Not to mention, he was discovering a lot of new songs this way (though he sheepishly had to skip over songs every so often—ones he was pretty sure if Abuelita ever heard the lyrics to, she would re-ban music... or at least computers, anyway).
For a good hour or so Miguel listened to different songs, at first paying attention to the videos, and then simply losing himself to the music, shutting his eyes and letting the next videos autoplay. This worked out fine for a while, but then...
"What color is the sky, ay mi amor, ay mi amor!"
Miguel jumped back, nearly tipping backwards off his stool, headphones going askew as his heart hammered in his chest. Even then, he could still hear the familiar voice, and the face on the screen was...
It was a friendly looking face, singing on a stage in front of many adoring fans. Occasionally the man would stoop down to sing a particular line to a girl in the audience, who would swoon over him as he winked. But the last time Miguel saw that face, saw that person, he hadn't looked nearly so friendly.
You're not going anywhere!
He could still feel himself held up by the front of his shirt, yanked closer as the eyes of the man—the one who had once been his hero—glared poison into him.
I am the one who is willing to do what it takes to seize my moment... whatever it takes.
"The loco that you make me, it is just un poco crazy!"
The fact that both the terrifying skeleton in his memory and the friendly-looking man in the video were the same person made Miguel feel sick, panicked, and very, very angry. Frantically he clicked several times on the screen to get the video to pause, and scrolled away so he didn't have to look at the man's face anymore. He wrapped his arms around his stomach, shuddering, wishing he could make the memory go away. If anyone deserved to be forgotten, it was Ernesto de la Cruz.
Once the panicked pounding of his heart finally calmed, he looked back at the screen. At first he'd thought that he should sign off for now—that was certainly enough videos for the day, and he felt like playing the real versions of his Papá Héctor's songs so he could get Ernesto's voice out of his head. But then something caught his eye, something he hadn't been paying attention to until now:
OMG, I love Ernesto! he's so flirty here lol
73 people got a bell dropped on their head
this is my favorite DLC song! he has so many good ones though, what a legend
I still have this one on a record. Ernesto himself signed the sleeve! It's my prized possession.
Comments—hundreds of comments, nearly all of them praising Ernesto for his looks, for what a great person he was, for "his" songwriting talent. Miguel felt his face flush in anger as he read more and more of them, all of these people who thought that Ernesto was the songwriting genius, and not his Papá Héctor...!
A part of him recalled that it had only been a month since Dia de Muertos, and the word hadn't gotten out to everyone yet, but it didn't make him feel any less angry. Seeing all of these people praise the man who had killed his great-great-grandfather and then tried to kill him not once, but twice was unbearable.
Unable to stand all the positive comments directed at this man, Miguel quickly found where he could leave a comment of his own, and began typing (a slow process with one finger—he hadn't learned to type properly yet):
Ernesto is the worst musician!! He stole all his songs! Theyre not his! Hes not a real musician!!!
Still fuming, he hit the reply button, and sat back on his stool. One comment probably wouldn't do a whole lot against the hundreds of people fawning over Ernesto here, but he'd thought it might make him feel better to say something.
A notification popped up at the bottom of his screen—someone had... replied to his comment?
Lol, what? Chill out. I'm sorry you don't like the greatest musician of all time.
What? No, that wasn't...! Frustrated, Miguel typed up another reply: Hes not!!! Hes a fraud!!! Hes not a real musician at all!
To his surprise, even more comments came in, this time from several people within moments of each other:
sure, Ernesto is a fraud, just like Elvis, right?
you!!! need to use more!!!! exclamation points!!!!!!
lmfao did you create this account just to troll a DLC video uploaded 7 years ago?
Great, now everyone was making fun of him... but it wasn't funny—Ernesto really did steal all of his songs, and... He shook his head—this wasn't fair. He typed up another reply to the thread (making sure to use fewer exclamation points, if they were going to make fun of him for it): Im telling the truth! He stole all his music from my greatgreat grandpa. He wrote all the songs Ernesto sang including this one.
OMG. OMGGGGG.
no actually dcl is my great great uncle and he told me hmself he wrote all these songs and that if I ever met youtube user ""guitarrayzapatos05" i should tell him that he screwed ur mom
Guys I think this is a kid......
Geez I always hear people say they're related to DLC (wouldn't be surprised, the man supposedly slept around like a rabbit) but this is the first I've heard someone say he stole from their relative. We've got a new nutjob conspiracy theory, fellas.
Adsfjsdflasjfsda;lfjlsajslfdjlds;adj
Miguel wasn't entirely sure what some of this stuff meant, but he did know all these people were mocking him, and with every new reply he felt the anger build in his chest, though his cheeks also felt hot with embarrassment—why was everyone ganging up on him like this? Your all making fun of me! But Im telling the truth!! Ernesto is a bad person and a bad musician! He really did steal from my greatgerat Grandpa!!
He stole from my greatgerat Grandpa too.
Lol how long do you plan to keep this up kid?
Listen, if DLC really did steal his music, we would have heard about it by now. He died almost a century ago. You don't think people haven't looked into this?
he ded 75 years ago moron
omg do u ever shut up
At least one person was being civil with him, but even then they were wrong. Still, Miguel had no idea what to say—his family was still fighting to get this case to the news, but with Mamá Coco having recently passed and his baby sister nearly here, they hadn't had a lot of time to work on it. But maybe he could bring something else up. He typed as fast as he could, tears stinging at the corners of his eyes:
I know he stole it! I found out when I went to the Land of the Dea—
The screen went dark.
Miguel sat there for a moment, stunned, before he heard a slobbery chomping noise coming from beneath the desk. Looking down, he spotted a familiar tail poking out near his stool. "Dante!" he cried, hopping down to yank the dog away.
As he suspected, the power cord was in the dog's mouth, and he was chewing on it lazily.
He was normally used to Dante getting in the way of things, but he felt angrier than normal at the dog. "No! No! Bad dog!" he cried, and swatted Dante on the nose.
The dog whined, immediately dropping the cord and squirming away from Miguel's grasp.
"S-stupid dog, wha'd you do that for? I was just trying to tell them about—!"
"What's going on in here?"
Both Miguel and Dante turned around to see Abuelita hurrying into the room. "I-it's nothing, Abuelita," Miguel said, and frantically wiped at his face.
Abuelita crossed her arms, looking from Miguel, to Dante, to the computer. "Nothing, huh! Is that computer box giving you trouble?"
"I—no, it's... it's not that..." He winced as Dante licked at his face and pushed him away.
"Don't give me that. It must be something, if it's got you so upset."
Abel's voice came from the hallway: "Ummm... did something happen?" Stepping into the room, he blinked at the monitor. "Huh, why's it—WOAH!" Quickly he got down on his hands and knees, grabbing the partially-chewed power cord and plugging it back in. Hitting the "on" button on the machine, he heaved a sigh of relief when the computer began to boot up again. "Geez, I thought you'd broken it."
"Oh, is that all?" Abuelita chuckled. "See, it's fine, mijo."
Dante looked up at the computer and barked at it, and Miguel frowned, using the stool to push himself back up to his feet. He rubbed the heel of his hand into his eyes. "Yeah, I... guess."
"Wait... what did you do on there?" Abel asked, suddenly worried. He quickly glanced from Abuelita and back to Miguel, biting his lip.
Sighing, Miguel, wrapped his arms around himself. "I just... saw some dumb people talking... about de la Cruz," he mumbled.
"Ugh, that man?" Abuelita said, shaking her head. Miguel wondered if she realized she said it in the exact same way she used to refer to Papá Héctor.
"People talking about... oooh, you read the comments, didn't you?" Abel asked, and laughed. "Never read the comments, Miguel!"
Feeling his chest constrict, Miguel balled his hands into fists and held them at his side, glaring at his primo. "It's not that! They were—they were talking about how great de la Cruz was, and—and when I told them he wasn't great, he was a thief, they... they just made fun of me!"
"¡¿Qué?!" Abuelita shouted, then shot an accusatory glare at the monitor. "I will not have people mocking my grandson! Where are they?"
"No, no, Abuelita, it's not like that." For a moment it looked like Abel would laugh again, but he saw how serious Miguel was about this, and frowned. "Well... they don't know yet, Miguel."
"But I tried to tell them!" Miguel swung out his hands, and Dante whimpered, butting his head against Miguel's leg. "I—I tried to tell them that they were wrong, but they just... kept making fun of me. And there were so many of them! I just..." Finally he brought his arms down, grasping his right wrist in his left hand and staring down at the floor. "I just felt like I was all alone."
Feeling his Abuelita's arm wrap around his shoulders, Miguel looked up to see her looking at him seriously. "You're not alone, mijo," she said. "Every single one of us here in this family are standing right behind you. We know the truth about Papá Héctor and that man now, and we won't stop fighting until the whole world knows."
"Y... you mean it?" he asked, hope creeping into his heart again.
"Absolutely. He is family, and we won't give up on him."
A huge smile spread across his face as he wrapped both arms around his abuelita, hugging her. "Gracias, Abuelita."
Laughing, Abuelita returned his hug with a bone-crushing one of her own, squeezing around his back until he was left gasping for air. "Now go have fun, mijo, and don't worry about what the people on that computer box say. They'll understand soon enough!" With that, she happily walked back toward the kitchen to start on dinner, leaving Miguel and his cousin alone.
Abel shifted on his feet, glancing from the computer to Miguel before giving an awkward laugh. "I, uh... know we went through the trouble of setting up a Youtube account for you, but uh... maybe you should stick to Spotify."

Fallout Equestria ( Country Roads)
By proxyart.
{The introduction}
(68 years after the mega spells)
(A group of Caravan ponies and a group of Talons sit around a campfire in the forest of  West Virgineigh in the shadow the the stable 76 ruins .  It's cold out and the two groups sit making small talk and trading stories. After a while a pony started to notice a odd member of the talon group)
A shy young blue unicorn spoke up , she had a soft timid voice. "um m..mr Griffin... how ... uh no um why is... your back legs different from the other Griffins?" Her ears dropped as he looked Over at her.
"I'm a hippogriff" said the smooth looking avian, he was quite pretty, with his lovely golden feathers and creamy tan coat , he spoke with a unique accent, something from the old world the blue unicorn thought.
"F..forgive me but a what?" She said with a puzzled shakey voice.
(He smiled and sat up.)
"A hippogriff my dear filly" the smooth voice said, he spoke like a pony, " you don't know do you? " he asked.
(The blue unicorn shook her head.)
" no sorry I'm not aware of Griffins or anything to do with the talons " she blushes brightly noticing them stare.
(The hippogriff's beak gives a friendly smile as he steps into the fire light.)
"My name is Apple Gin, and I am not a normal creature, no matter how you look at it, I'm the descend of a earth pony who throw out all odds service the mega spells and fell in love with a Griffin , from her and their love my mother was born , my mother was a miracle my grandfather said, a foal that shouldn't exist but somehow did."
(Apple Gin saw the curiosity growing in the eyes of the young filly.)
"You want to know more don't you? " he asked with a croaked smile.
(The blue unicorn nodded happily, no longer the shy blue filly she was , this girl got closer to hear every word he spoke. )
"Please tell me what happened?!" The filly gidded as she clopped her hoofs excitedly.
Apple Gin sighed and sat back on his haunches. " so you want to know the story of my ancestor the the legendary stable 76? "  he asked.
She smiled sweetly and nodded " yes!" She paused for a moment  "I mean yes please mr. Gin sir"
Apple Gin gave her a odd look and sighed happily, " Gin is fine... so where to start this story? ... it's a long one to tell "
(The blue pony thought for a moment then with a smile.)
"I got all night... better then dealing with them swamp crawlers or mega beasts... right Gin ?"
(Apple Gin smiled )
"Yes ma'am " he started to tell his grandmother's story.
"To tell this tale we must start off 25 years after the war... 25 years after the mega spells dropped and all of equestria was plunged Into Darkness".
(War ... war never changes.... )

[Chapter one] country roads.
[Memory orb holotape begin]
(A song started to play over the PA system of the stable, followed by a older mare's voice)
(A inebriated orange and creamy caramel colored earth pony falls out of her bed woken by the loudly playing music and that mare's voice, she looked around her stable room and realized it was very quiet, too quiet, there was a huge party just yesterday, and today was her 25th birthday, the day she was also supposed to leave the stable as well.)
"Shit... ouch my head, I swear one day I'll stop drinking " she always said it but she never has, after all she owed her cutie mark to alcohol, all the members of her father's family did, it was a family tradition and Apple whiskey wasn't going to be the pony to end a family tradition!
(She looked at goodmorning stable-tec window with its happy  little birds and smiling sun, the stable colt smiled back at her reminding her she was late. )
"Good morning stable 76, this is the Overmare , I hope you all enjoyed the party last night, even those who might have over overindulged and overslept. But it's time to get up and get out there, we've been locked away long enough."
(She listened to the Overmare speech as she brushed her teeth and combed her mane, it didn't do anything to help, her mane and tail was a knotted mess of curls and knots, she had tried to keep her hair nice but since mother died Whiskey had a hard time with managing it.)
"Stupid mane... ouch! How am I supposed to brush this mess if I'm not a unicorn!?" She yelled frustrated by her lack of magic or her mothers hair dresser bot.
(Her mother was a robotics engineer, the best in equestria or so others told her. The stable was full of the best and brightest members of equestria and many of the ponies onces worked for stable-tec or rob-co, some were doctors and musicians, others were bankers, scientist, farmers, painters, chefs and more, if they were the best they were in 76!, and the offspring, the children of the generation of genius ponies? Why they were told daily that they were going to save equestria... and the world, that day was today... and Apple wasn't running to the stable door like the others had.)
(A robot brought Apple whiskey her pipbuck, it had a big 76 Pip‑buck 2000 in blue and silver numbers on it with the ugly brown and tan pipbuck casing , Apple placed it on her fetlock and began to adjust to it's weight, Apple thought her pipbuck was very ugly and useless, all she ever used it for was the radio and keeping track of other ponies. )
"Stupid heavy thing..." said Apple.
"Oh miss Apple I thought you'd never wake up" said the floating mr. Handy.
(The over mare's voice pulsed for a moment or two then continued )
"Today is Reclamation day, I kn..."( the voice was drowned out for a bit.)
"What? Why? " Apple whiskey asked.
"Why its Reclamation day don't you remember? Most of the stable is already gone ." Said the robot.
"All ready gone?! But its only..." Apple looked at the time. " Half past noon! How could you let me over sleep so long!?" She started to ran to get her stuff packed .
( the Overmare's voice started again)
"It maybe time to leave but I'll always remember the day you all entered stable 76, you come from everywhere walk of life, every pony race, color and creed, but you all share one very important trait, you are equestrias best and brightest but more importantly you will always be my family."
(The broadcast ended)
"Wow Overmare ... I wonder if the old mare is still here? ... would make sense that the Overmare would be last to leave right?" Apple got all the things she wanted to take with her.
(Apple whiskey packed a large saddlebag with 5 bottles of purified water, 3 stem packs, 2 boxes of big-mac and cheese, 1 picture of her parents, a hoof pistol and a hoof full of bullets,  2 Med-X , 2 healing potions, 1 sparkle cola cherry and 4 bottles of her famous Apple whiskey and the recipe so no one else could make it .)
"Miss Apple you mustn't forget about you're camp " said the Mr handy.
"My camp? What is that? ... you mean my still bot? " Apple asked.
(The Mr. handy looked insulted by her calling that metal pot a robot)
"No miss apple not that busted excuse for bolts.... the camp unit is you're home away from home miss... " he handed her the rather small box .
"This is a camp?" She looked complex.
"You need a home base out there. The Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform is designed to give you one." Said the handy.
"So this will help me serve? Good to know... uh ok " Apple took the camp and stored it in her saddlebags.
"Wow it fits a lot... one day I'll learn how it carries all my junk..." she was impressed by the bags, she thought it had to be part of the stable-tec spell Matrix.
(Apple strapped the saddlebags to her back and holstered her pistol. )
"Ok looks like that's everything Handy...what will you do onces I'm gone?" She asked.
(The mr. Handy hovered around and brought her a tiny mr. handy statuette.)
"Miss Apple please take care of yourself... I'll be here , I must lock up the stable and once I do life support will be turned off... no living creature will be able to close the stable door." The handy said .
( Apple looked sad but she understood she would never seen the first friend she had again, tears fell down her pale caramel coat.)
"Good bye old friend " Apple gave the bot a quick nuzzle and a kind smile.
(Apple set out her room and into the corredores of the stable, the gray drury walls of the stable gave her a bit of comfort, she was very nervous about leaving, if it was up to Apple whiskey she would have stayed there until she died un old mare with many grand foals running through the many hall's. )
(As Apple walked past the Overmare's office she popped her head in to say goodbye however the office was completely empty of life.)
"Overmare!... eh? ... nuna?... " Apple walked around her desk and sat in the big chair, it smelled so nice , the smell of foal hood memories.
(The Overmare loved to let the foals play in her office while their parents worked their various jobs in the stable. Her happiness memories were learning how to be a Overmare from the only grandmother she would ever know. )
"Overmare... I guess I'll never get to say goodbye to her..." Apple saw that her terminal was still on, normally she wouldn't snoop but she was as rather nosy filly .
(Apple clicked her hoof to the keyboard and  ejected a holotape from the Overmare's office terminal)
"What in the seven?... a holotape? " she wondered if it was a goodbye from the Overmare.
"Overmare what could you be up to?" Apple noticed the holotape port in the side of her pipbuck, she put the holotape in .
(The holotape started to play)
"Overmare's log, or should I say, direct communication. Because whoever is listening to this had the moxy to try to find out where I've gone." It paused for a moment.
"But I'm glad you did. Truth is, I need your help. I've been given a task, and... I've decided to break protocol and tell you what it is. Because If there's one thing I've learned in these past few years, it's that we need to rely on each other." It paused for a moment.
"There were three active mega spell silos in Virgineigh before the Balefire Bombs fell. They blew up the Equestria before. We can't let it happen again. So we've got to locate and secure all of the silos, or die trying. Hopefully the former. Hmph." It paused for a moment.
"But it's been twenty-five years. I just don't know what we're going to find out there. Or where to start... My directive was to go to the nearest population center and assess the situation. I'll set up a C.A.M.P. on the way once I get my bearings. Find me there." The holotape stopped.
(Apple felt confused as she tried to figure out and take in all the information she just heard.  Apple wasn't exactly sure what she could do to help her but if the Overmare needed her she would try her best to find her and help... not because of Stable tec but for the only grandmother she had... the pony who called her family. )
"Looks like we are going out there after all..."  she thought to herself.
(Apple started to wake out when she stopped at the Overmare's bedroom door, she had took the time to make her bed and straighten her room, maybe she should have cleaned up her room before as well but she didn't want the handy bots to have nothing to do for all time.)
"Wow Overmare you really need to relax... hehehe " Apple said with a giggle.
(She smiled at the handy bots that met her at the hatch to the stable door.)
"Goodbye handys...  I wish you all the best, look after the stable for everypony. " Apple hugged the sliver handy bot.
"Goodbye miss apple, and we will look after your sill bot... even if we think it's a waste of technology and fermented grains." Said the mr. handy.
(Apple smiled, she whipped her eyes.)
"I'll miss all of you so much " Apple tried not to cry as she walked thought the stable entrance and stepped out into the world beyond .
[End of holotape chapter one.]

Strawberries and cigarretes || Lee Donghyuck
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: photos are not mine, non idol!au inspired by a troye sivan song, probably kinda bad cuz i was in a rush but i couldnt get this idea out of my mind all day so here it is enjoy xx
Tumblr media
Remember when we first met?
You said, "Light my cigarette"
So I lied to my mum and dad I jumped the fence and I ran
But we couldn't go very far
Cause you locked your keys in your car
So you sat and stared at my lips
And I could already feel your kiss
You met Donghyuck, or Haechan as he preferred to be called, on a Tuesday morning in school. You knew of him and of the things he did and sometimes you talked to him in class, but you didn't really know who he really was. You didn't really have to know much about him to understand the kid was trouble, from his black leather jacket to the million broken hearts he was responsible for breaking, you were pretty sure you didn't want to associate yourself with him. In fact, you didn't really want to associate yourself with anyone. You were a pretty closed up person and you found making friends pretty difficult so for the most part you found yourself hanging out by yourself at the back of the school. So that's where you were on that Tuesday morning, waiting for the lunch hour to pass while looking at the peaceful, blue sky when you heard footsteps from behind you and and someone plopping down next to you. No one really hung around the back of the school so you got startled at the sudden arrival and you turned to see who the person was, when you saw Haechan sheepishly grinning at you while mumbling "Sorry, I just needed a breather I hope that's okay with you."
You nodded quickly, too intimidated to actually say anything and faced the front again. None of you actually tried to break the silence that existed between you, both of you too consumed in your own thoughts and busy enjoying the peaceful environment. That was until Haechan spoke up, nudging you softly with his elbow making you turn and look at him once again.
"Hey Y/N, can you maybe light my cigarette?" He asked softly, taking you by surprise both at the request and at the sudden realization that Haechan was breathtaking. You of course, knew that Haechan was one of the most handsome guys in school, the number of girls swooning over him being the receipt, but you never had the chance to admire his face from up close. And with the way the light fell on his face, you could finally understand why he had all those girls following him all those school years. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." He said chuckling.
"What? Oh right, sorry. U-um I don't actually smoke so..." You trailed off, looking at him apologetically, "You know, you should stop smoking though, it's bad for your health and totally gross." You said, furrowing your brows and snatching the cigarette Haechan had just placed between his lips, away from him.
"Oh? And who are you to tell me what to do?" He said, smirking, one of his eyebrows raised like he was questioning you. You scoffed and turned away from him again, blushing before mumbling, "I'm just stating facts." You could hear him chuckling from beside you before he suddenly said, "This place sucks want to get out of here?"
"You mean as in skip school?" You asked shocked. "No way, first of all my parents will kill me and second of all I barely know you, why would I want to skip school with you?" You raised your eyebrow while crossing your hands over your chest. "For all I know, you could be a killer."
"Oh c'mon Y/N. We've known each other since elementary, I'm pretty sure you'd known if I was a serial killer. Plus you're a teenager dude, live your life a little."
"Correction, I really don't know who you are besides all the rumors who may or may not be true and I won't be able to live my life if my parents find out and murder me." You saw Haechan falter a bit at your words, like what you said hurt him a little, before regaining his posture and playfully pouting at you, "C'mon pleaaase. I promise they won't find out a thing." He said and you don't know what came over you but you muttered a soft "fine" and that's how you found yourself jumping over the school fence with Haechan on a Tuesday morning and run the streets until you both got out of breath, so you stopped and opted for sitting at a nearby park.
"Sorry, I locked my keys in my car so I walked today." He muttered apologetically, while walking next to you.
"Don't worry, it's okay, I walk to school everyday so it's not a big deal." You shrugged and turned around to take a look at his face, only to realize that he was already staring at you with a look in his eyes you couldn't really understand. You blushed at the sudden proximity, before you started running and shouted "Hey whoever reaches the benches last, buys the other one ice cream." Haechan laughed and quickly followed you, purposely losing and buying you ice cream, before you both sat down and started talking like you were friends forever. So that's how, you spend your Tuesday in the park, having the best time you've had in a while, getting to know aspects of Haechan you didn't know existed. And when your parents asked you later in the evening how school was, you looked them in the eyes and smiled, lying to them by saying it went great.
Long nights, daydreams
Sugar and smoke rings, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you
Headlights on me
Racing to 60, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like
Blue eyes, black jeans
Lighters and candy, I've been a fool
But strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you
After that day, you two found yourselves reaching for the other's company more often each day. Haechan felt like he could be his real self with you and he really enjoyed hanging out with someone who he knew wouldn't judge him based on what the others said. You also found yourself enjoying his company, the once assumptions you had of him, thrown out of the window from the first day you started hanging out with him and you were really thankful that someone actually took time out of their day to hang out with you. At first, your friendship was restricted at the back yard of the school, were you both sat next to each other, many times not really talking yet enjoying the endearing silence, while other times none of you could stop talking. After a few months though, Haechan found himself calling you at any time of the day, just to hang out with you, whether that was stopping by your house, or taking you out for night drives. The later normally happened when he had a lot in his mind and he just wanted to see you. And soon, that became a part of your day. He became a part of your day. He would pick you up to go to school and drive you back because he didn't want you to walk on your own and after a few hours he would probably call you up to go on a night adventure. On a cold winter night, while you were sleeping you suddenly heard your phone go off. Alarmed at the sudden noise, you shot up and reached for you phone picking it up, not bothering to look at the caller's ID, already knowing who it was.
"Hyuck?" You said, calling him by a nickname only you were allowed to call him, "Are you okay? It's like 3 am." You said, a yawn escaping your lips.
It was silent for a while before he answered. You could hear his ragged breath through the phone, making your eyebrows furrow and your heartbeat increase. "Can we please go for a drive?" You heard a whisper, making your heart break a little. He wasn't okay.
"I'll be down in 5." You said, "Arrive safely yeah?" You heard a small yes and then he hung up.
You sighed and plopped down into your mattress again. To say Donghyuck had now a firm place in your heart now, would be an understatement. You loved him and not only in a friendly way. Somewhere along the laughs, the hugs, his jokes and his stories you had developed a stupid crush on him and your heart broke at the realization he would never love you the same you loved him. However, you promised yourself you wouldn't tell him anything, too afraid of losing what you had, even if it wasn't what your heart wanted the most. That's why, you wore a pair of sneakers and sneaked out of the door quietly, running to his car and slipping in before he drove away. At first it was quite, but that was until you reached for his hand with your own and he stopped the car near a cliff turning around and looking you with glossy eyes.
"Why am I never enough?" He said, voice breaking and you resisted the urge to reach out and hug him, chosing to listen to him instead. "It's like, whatever I do, my parents don't really care you know? Even after all this time, after all those things I've done to gain their attention they still won't acknowledge me. I-I have no idea what to do goddamit. They only care for their money, like it's the only thing in the world. They're so caught up in their jobs that they can't even see their marriage is failing. They can't even see what a failure of a son they have." He said, raising his voice and he hit his hand on the wheel, startling you.
You knew of his family problems, from brief mentions in the past, but you didn't know it affected him so much. Suddenly it all clicked. Now you understood, why Lee Donghyuck was the person he was, why he never let anyone else know the real him, why he caused problems. He was just a kid, wanting to get love and attention. You cupped his face with your hand, your fingers wiping the stray tears that escaped his eyes and he tilted his face to the touch of your palm sighing in content at the feeling.
"You're not a failure. You're one of the most interesting people I know. The smartest. And if your parents can't realise that then it's not your fault. You're an amazing person Hyuck. It's not fair to you to hide behind a mask. I know who you can be and who you are. And I'm proud of you for pulling through all this time. It's time to prove to yourself, who you are too." You said, voice barely a whisper while Donghyuck's hand found it's way towards your own free hand and held it like his life depended on it. And before you could even mutter another word, he reached out and gave you a bone crushing hug, mumbling a soft thank you before kissing your temple. You sighed at the familiar scent of cigarettes and strawberry gum, his favourite flavor, before sneaking your hands around his waist to hold him closer. And you stayed like that for what it seemed hours, comforting one another.
That night you went home and cried until you fell asleep, because what you felt for him was so strong yet so stupid because you knew he would never feel the same way.
Remember when you taught me fate?
Said it'd all be worth the wait
Like that night in the back of the cab
When your fingers walked in my hand
Next day, nothin' on my phone
But I can still smell you on my clothes
Always hoping that things would change
But we went right back to your games
"Do you believe in fate?" Donghyuck had asked you one night where you both laid in the park, your head on his chest while he played with your hair, while you were gazing at the stars. Over the span of your friendship, Donghyuck had in fact fallen in love with you as well, but he was too scared to act on it, both from the trauma of his parents broken marriage and from the fact that he could lose you. That didn't stop him from doing anything he could to feel as close to you as he could in that way, confusing both you and him at the progress.
"Hm?" You said, looking up at him, only to see him looking at the stars above you. You took the time to admire his face and the way his features were painted silver by the light of the moonlight and there was nothing you wanted more in that moment than to softly kiss his lips. But you knew you couldn't so you just looked at him, grateful for the fact that you could at least share those moments with him.
"I don't know, fate, soulmates, do you believe in all of that?" He said, taking his eyes off the night sky to admire your face and the way your big eyes looked at him.
"I mean, it'd be pretty cute if that was true. Imagine having a person made to be with you. Your person. Like the universe came together, just to find two people that were made for eachother. That shit's romantic." You chuckled and raised your eyebrows and him. He grinned and caressed your face with his hand, making your heart almost leave your chest and you prayed he couldn't feel how hard it was beating.
"I should get you home." He whispered, still looking at you, his fingers brushing against your lips, "It's getting late."
That night, he had forgotten his keys again. So you took a cab back to your house together, him not wanting to leave you alone until you were safe inside your house. His hand never left yours the whole ride, his fingers walking in your hand, while you rested your head on his shoulder, listening to him humming a sweet melody. That night, before he left you to go to his house, Donghyuck couldn't resist you anymore. That night, he kissed you for the first time, in your doorstep, hands softly holding your waist as if he was afraid he'd break you. That night you slept in bliss, hoping that finally things would change, that he actually felt the same about you, while he went home mortified at the thought that he would ruin something as pure as you. That's why the rest of the days, he did anything in his power to avoid you. He stopped picking you up, stopped picking up your calls, stopped hanging out with you. He'd see you at the halls and would change direction, breaking your already broken heart even more in the process and making you wonder if all this was just a game to him.
And even if I run away
Give my heart a holiday
Still, strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you
You always leave me wanting more
I can't shake my hunger for
Strawberries and cigarettes always taste like you
Yeah, they always taste like you
Long nights, daydreams
With that sugar and smoke rings
Always taste like you
Running away from you and his feelings had to be the most stupid thing Haechan had done so far and he had done a lot of stupid things. He was aware of that yet he didn't know how to fix what he broke. Ever since he stopped talking to you, he wasn't able to eat, he wasn't in the mood to do anything and he had pretty much returned to the person he was before he met you, which he absolutely hated. Most importantly he missed you like crazy, he missed your laugh, he missed the way your face scrunched when you were confused, he missed listening to you talk, he missed the way you cared for him. The quick holiday his heart had taken away from you made him realise the one thing he already knew but was too afraid to admit. He was hopelessly and utterly in love with you. He wanted to be your person, the person you share your happiness and your struggles with, the person that you feel closer to you than anyone.
You weren't much better actually. That week without Hyuck was probably the worst of your life. He had made himself such a constant in your life, that you still waited for him to call you up in the middle of the night to drive you places, resulting you in not sleeping for the past week. You couldn't do anything other than sleep to ease the pain, seeing as literally anything else reminded you of him and your heart couldn't take it. The worst thing was that you literally felt played and humiliated. How could he get so close to you only to toy you like that? How could he show you this side of him and then play you like he played all those other girls? All those thoughts were occupying your brain, yet you still felt the same way about him. You still loved him and that upset you more than anything.
On a Saturday night, you were moping around the house, watching a sad movie and eating ice cream when you heard the doorbell. You looked at the time confused, seeing as you weren't expecting anyone but nonetheless you still went ahead and opened the door. And the minute you opened it, you wished you had just pretended to be asleep because there in front of you stood Donghyuck, his hair disseveled like he'd run his hands through it too many times, dark circles decorating his beautiful eyes and a regretful look on his face. You tried to close the door but he stuck his foot in the house, blocking you from closing it before he entered the house and threw his hands around you, engulfing you in a desperate hug. You stood there frozen, not knowing what to do, wanting to hug him back but knowing you shouldn't. He took you out of your dilemma by pulling away and taking your face between his hands making you look at him.
"Can we please talk?" He said softly, his eyes searching your whole face. You unfroze from your position and took a step back, your hands crossing in front of your chest defensively.
"I don't think we have anything to talk about. You've already made it clear Haechan. It was your game. You've won, you got everything you wanted." You said, your voice breaking, making him know how upset you were. You saw the hurt in his face, when you called him by the name everyone else called him, like you didn't know him.
"Please Y/N. I swear what you believe is not the truth." He said desperately, taking a step towards you while you took one back.
"Oh and what do I believe then? Tell me Haechan, what do I believe? You kissed me, you asshole, you made me fall for you and then what? You ignored me? Like we never meant anything to eachother?" You said, your voice accidentally raising, while tears you didn't know had found home in your eyes fell down your cheeks.
"I got scared okay?" He said, throwing his hands in the air, "I've never felt this way about someone Y/N and I got scared. God, I'm stupid, I know that but I'm also utterly in love with you and that mortifies me."
"Y-wait what?" You whispered, looking at his face and saw that his eyes were as well glossy with tears. "You do what?"
"I. Love. You" He said and took a step towards you, reaching out and taking your hand in his, putting it on his heart. "Feel this? You're doing this to me. And I- I didn't know how to handle it. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I felt that if I was with you, I'd ruin you somehow. But at the same time, I just can't get enough of you. And I don't know when you took my heart and made it yours, but as much as I know that I'm bad for you, I can't stay away from you. I-" You cut him off by placing your lips on his, softly while your hand found a place in his hair softly tugging it. He froze at first, but soon deepened the kiss, resting his hands on your sides, lips softly moulding together with yours.
You pulled away and looked at him before slapping his head playfully. "You idiot, stop making choices for me. I love you and I can't imagine a better person for me than you. I love you so much." You grinned, happy tears falling from your eyes before he wiped them and kissed you again.
"I love you so much. I'm sorry I'm such an idiot and I'm sorry it took so long." He said and smiled sheepishly with the same smile he had when you first met him when he joined you at the backyard. "Can we go cuddle and make up for the lost time now?" He pouted and you laughed while hugging him.
"Sure, come on."
And that's how you spent the whole night, wrapped up in each others embrace, talking and laughing, happy to finally belong to one another.

And Always
Hi! If it isn't too much to ask, could I request something along the lines of a Small Town Friends-to-Lovers AU with Key? I'd prefer fluff but I'm sure anything you write will be great!
Of course, anon! It’s definitely not too much to ask, and I hope you like what I came up with!
Genre: Small Town!AU/Friends to Lovers
Pairing: Key x You
Warnings: None
Words: 2,374
Tumblr media
“Hi, Marie,” you grinned as you stepped into the ice cream shop, holding the door open for your best friend behind you.
“Hey, you two,” Marie replied with a friendly smile. “Just let me know when you’re ready to order.”
Key let out a sort of frustrated huff behind you, but you didn’t turn around to look at him. You didn’t want to give him the satisfaction right now.
“You can’t just distract me with ice cream,” he said in pointed tones.
“I can, and I am,” you told him casually, your eyes scanning the menu above the counter. You knew exactly what you wanted, of course, since you’d been coming here for years... but you still didn’t want to make eye contact with Key, so perusing your ice cream options was your only choice.
Again, Key let out a frustrated huff. “Y/N, come on,” he murmured. “We have to talk about it sooner or later. Graduation is next week.”
Rather than responding to him, telling him you certainly did not have to talk about it -- not just sooner or later, but ever -- you simply stepped up to the counter and waved your hand to get Marie’s attention.
The owner of the shop sidled up on the other side of the counter, eyebrows raised expectantly as she waited for you to place your order.
“One chocolate chip cookie dough in a waffle cone, and one rainbow sherbet in a cup, please,” you requested, shooting Marie a sweet smile.
“You got it, sweetie,” Marie winked. “Coming right up.”
“Y/N,” Key sighed before you felt his hands come down on your shoulders.
“Rainbow sherbet is your favorite,” you said in a sing-song tone, finally turning to face him.
Key pursed his lips, and you began to feel slight pangs of guilt for avoiding him like you were...
But you really didn’t want to talk about what he wanted to talk about!
Even though it was inevitable!
If you didn’t talk about it, things could get really sad and awkward!
And Key had been your best friend since Kindergarten, practically, so there was no way you were going to jeopardize your friendship.
“What else is there to talk about?” you finally said, lifting your shoulders (and Key’s hands) into a shrug.
“Uh, let’s see,” Key replied in the sassiest of tones. “We could start by talking about the fact you still haven’t decided where you’re going to school.”
Your heart began to beat just a bit more quickly, and your gaze flitted to the side, avoiding Key’s.
“I have plenty of time,” you chuckled awkwardly.
“You do not! We graduate next week! You can’t go into summer vacation not knowing where you’re going to college!”
“I’m sure plenty of people do it!” you defended.
Key opened his mouth to issue a retort, but Marie interrupted by handing his sherbet cup over the counter.
“One rainbow sherbet,” she announced happily.
Key thanked her after taking the cup, grabbed a spoon, and then issued his retort.
“I don’t care if other people do it,” he told you. “I care that you’re doing it. Because you’re my best friend, and I just don’t understand --”
“Well, I don’t understand why you want to leave so badly,” you interjected.
Key simply let out a single laugh before digging into his sherbet and sticking his spoon in his mouth.
“What? What’s so funny?” you asked as Marie handed over your chocolate chip cookie dough cone.
Your best friend threw a quirked brow your way, and you shrugged innocently before taking a rather large bite of your ice cream.
“You know I don’t belong here,” Key said quietly as the two of you plopped onto some barstools by the window.
And, yes, you did know that. Or, at least, you knew he’d been talking about leaving for about five years now.
The thing was -- you and Key grew up (and currently lived) in a very small town. Everyone knew each other, and things rarely ever changed.
But Key loved change. He liked to shake things up.
You did not.
Change... kind of terrified you.
So the fact Key wanted to leave and most likely never come back... kind of terrified you.
Because you didn’t want to leave.
You liked things the way they were, and you never wanted anything to change. Ever.
“It’s not so bad here, though,” you said for probably the twentieth time. “You could go to college, become a teacher, and then come back here and teach theater or music or something!”
Key simply let out a very heavy sigh.
You knew that wasn’t going to happen, but you figured you would offer it up as a suggestion anyway. It doesn’t hurt to try, right?!
“I don’t want to leave you here,” he finally murmured.
“I don’t want you to leave me here, either!”
“So just come with me! We’ll go to school together! We’ll build a whole new life together!” he pleaded, almost to the point of actually begging you on his knees.
Your brow furrowed deeply, and you stared at your chocolate chip cookie dough cone, watching as it slowly melted and dripped over your finger.
You wanted to.
You wanted to go with him, but... what about your family? What if you left and things fell apart without you? Or what if you left and things got better without you? What if you hated going to college? What if you flunked out? What if you didn’t make any new friends?
All of these ‘what ifs’ just made you so anxious! It would be so much easier, so much better if you just stayed here.
I mean... you wouldn’t have Key if you just stayed here. So that definitely wouldn’t be better.
“Please,” Key whispered, moving to rest his head on your shoulder. “I don’t want to do life without you.”
You knew you couldn’t give him the answer he wanted. Not right now, and maybe not ever.
But you could tell him, “I’ll think about it.”
“You’ll really think about it?”
“...Yes. I will really think about it.”
You would certainly try. For him.
Tumblr media
Graduation came and went in a total blur. I mean, it didn’t actually last that long because there were less than thirty students graduating, but still. It seemed to pass in just the blink of an eye.
The few days after graduation, Key was busy packing up. Unsurprisingly, he had decided to enroll in summer classes, so he was set to move out in just a week or two.
So while he was busy packing, you were busy distracting yourself and denying everything. Pretending like it wasn’t happening. Pretending like he was packing for vacation.
When the time came for him to actually leave.... well, you still told yourself he was coming back. Even when he was hugging you tightly and you could hear him sniffling, you still smiled. You were convinced he wasn’t leaving for good.
Even though he was.
Things didn’t really hit you until the next weekend.
Usually, you and Key spent afternoons after school together doing homework; the weekends were reserved for everything fun. And when Key, things were always fun. You would see a movie or go shopping or talk about what your classmates had worn that week or whatever your hearts desired.
As long as it didn’t require too much money or a car.
You were high school students in a small town, after all.
At least... you used to be.
When you woke up the Saturday after Key left, your first instinct was to pick up your phone and text him, ask him what he wanted to do today.
You actually did type it out, but before you pressed ‘Send,’ you realized...
You wouldn’t like his answer.
And only then did you admit to yourself he had left. For good.
You would be able to see him from time to time, but he was never going to live here again.
He was gone, and you were still here.
And... honestly, you just couldn’t handle that. You couldn’t deal with it.
What was life without Key, your very best friend? Who would you spend all of your time with? Who would you tell everything to? Who would support you and comfort you and tell you to suck it up and give you the tough love you needed?
Suddenly (though probably not so suddenly), you felt a tear slide down your cheek. You felt your throat closing up and your stomach forming a huge, bottomless hole.
And all of your feelings crashed down on you at once.
Why had you been so stupid? Why had you pushed everything to the side instead of just dealing with it? Instead of just making a decision?
You had been worried about leaving your family, but you knew your family would always be here. They would always be right here whenever you came back.
But Key wouldn’t.
Who knows where he would end up? He would probably conquer the world, and one thing you knew for sure -- you wanted to be with him.
You got out of bed and ready as quickly as possible, telling your mom you were going to visit Key -- and not telling her you were probably never coming back.
I mean, you would come back to pack up your things and stuff. But you know what I mean.
You drove for about an hour until you realized you had no idea where you were going. So you told Siri to call him, your heart thumping with each ring that came through your car speakers.
“Hey,” Key answered after the fourth ring. “What’s up?”
“Hi, so, um, where do you live?”
“...What do you mean?” he chuckled.
“Where are you? Right now?”
“I’m in my dorm room,” he told you, sounding more than a little confused. “What’s going on?”
“Text me your address.”
“...Okay. Y/N, what’s going on?”
“Just text me your address. Thanks!” You quickly hung up before he could ask again, though you weren’t sure why you hadn’t just told him you were coming to see him...
A few moments later, a message came through on your phone. You carefully clicked on the address Key had sent, bringing it up in your Maps app and setting your destination.
About an hour later, you found yourself parking in front of Key’s dorm, your heart now beating wildly.
He was already waiting outside for you, and the second you saw him, you felt that lump in your throat forming again. You felt hot tears pressing against the backs of your eyes as you ran to him, immediately sliding your arms around his middle and pressing your face into his neck.
“Hey, what’s wrong? What are you doing here?” Key asked, that all too familiar confused laugh hidden in his voice.
“I’m sorry,” you murmured, trying your absolute best to stop those tears from falling. “I shouldn’t have pretended like you were coming back. I shouldn’t have acted like everything was okay. I’m not okay. I don’t want you to leave. I mean, I know you already left, and I’m sorry I didn’t realize earlier that I didn’t want you to leave.”
Key let out a somewhat amused sigh, bringing his arms around you and patting your back comfortingly. “It took you a whole week to realize that?”
“I want to be here,” you continued. “I want to be with you. I don’t think I can live without you. I can’t be myself without you.”
You felt Key freeze. You almost pulled away to look at him, but he spoke before you had the chance to.
“You... what? You want to be with me?” he asked softly.
You nodded, clutching the back of his shirt for dear life.
“Like... be with me?”
Why was he asking you again? You’d just said ‘yes’!
So you nodded again.
And, this time, Key leaned back. He let his arms fall from around your shoulders. He brought his hands up to cradle your cheeks.
And then he kissed you.
Your eyes flew open immediately, your breath catching in your throat because you were shocked. More than shocked.
What -- what was going on?
Why was Key kissing you?
You were much too stunned to say or do anything, but thankfully, Key wasn’t. He pulled away after a few seconds, pressing his forehead against yours and letting his breath fan over your lips.
“I was hoping you would realize it,” he whispered. “Obviously, I was hoping you would realize before I left, but a week isn’t bad.”
“...Realize what?” you croaked, your voice just barely audible.
“That we’re more than just friends. I’ve known for a long time, but I wanted to wait for you. And now you’re here.”
Oh -- oh, god. Were you here?
Were you?!
Your mind was absolutely racing -- along with your heart -- but when you opened your mouth to tell Key you had no idea what was going on...
You couldn’t speak.
You couldn’t say anything.
And then all of a sudden you were kissing him again.
You were kissing him back.
Because you had meant every word you’d said just a minute ago.
You wanted to be here with him. You didn’t know how you could live without him by your side. You didn’t know if you could be yourself without him by your side.
You had always known deep down Key would be by your side for the rest of your life, but had you thought it would be as just your friend?
Had you really expected him to find someone else to fall in love with and get married to?
Had you really expected you to find someone else to fall in love with? Get married to?
...When you really thought about it, no. You hadn’t even let those thoughts enter your mind.
But, to be honest, you weren’t going to let any thoughts of love enter your mind right now.
Right now, all you would focus on was getting registered for college. Getting a dorm, getting a roommate, signing up for classes.
And being with Key.
That’s all you needed, to be with him. Right now... and always.

Talent » Derek Morgan
Pairing: Reader x Derek Morgan
Word Count: 2,696
Warnings: None
Summary: Derek has been feeling weird since you joined the BAU, and when he hears your secret talent in the flesh, his unexplained feelings start to make sense.
A/N: This was requested by @bl4ck3stbl4ck. The song featured is called No Witness by LP.
Tumblr media
You had only been working at the Behavioral Analysis Unit for a month now, and you thought you were settling in quite well.
Since you were a little girl, you had always dreamed of joining the FBI. This was purely because your own father had been an agent, and you knew that you wanted to save lives like your father did — he was your hero.
After many years of self doubt and focusing on your hobbies instead of building a career, you finally gained the confidence and courage to train and become an agent. It helped that your father had retired just a year before too, the desire to make him incredibly proud motivating you to follow out your dreams.
And boy was your father proud of you.
When you told him that you’d gotten the job on Aaron Hotchner’s team, he had thrown you an over the top celebration party. He wanted everyone he knew, to know about your next journey; to show you off and tell people how proud he was of his little girl.
It made the long days and the intense training worth it, to see that smile on his face.
This past month you had enjoyed working and getting to know your co-workers. They were all super friendly and welcoming, instantly taking you under their wings and officially making you a part of their tight knit family.
You had just come off of your second case just the day before, catching a serial killer in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. It had only taken three days for you and the team to catch the UnSub, and now you were awaiting for the next one.
“(Y/N), you are coming, right?” Derek asked, as you made your way back to your desk after using the restroom.
You frowned, “Coming where?”
“To my favourite karaoke bar to celebrate my birthday, tonight.” Rossi explained.
You sat down on your seat, “Oh, um. I wasn’t sure that I’d be invited.”
You had heard them speak of this celebration for Rossi’s birthday the night before on the jet, and most of today. No one had really spoken to you about it, so you assumed that you were still too new to the team for you to be invited, but unbeknownst to you, they assumed you’d be attending all along.
“Oh my sweet girl,” Penelope spoke, “You are apart of this team now, which means you’re instantly invited to everything we plan.”
“So, you’re coming, yes?” Derek asked, a hopeful look filling his features.
“I’m uh, I’m not sure that a karaoke bar is my thing.” You lied, biting down on your bottom lip.
The thing was, a karaoke bar was completely up your street. One of your hobbies, that you focused on for many years before joining the BAU, was singing. In bars, in clubs, weddings, parties, even lowkey festivals.
It had been a passion of yours since you were a little girl, and after leaving high school you just wanted to have a few years of fun where you did something you love.
You hadn’t told your team about this, however, and now you were slightly anxious about them finding out. You weren’t sure how they’d react to your talent, whether they would find it cool or funny. You had only known them for thirty days, you didn’t know them that well to judge what their responses would be yet.
“Do you really think that a karaoke bar is any of our thing?” J.J chuckled, “Come on, it’s just for a laugh. To celebrate Rossi’s life.”
Penelope saw your conflicted expression, “Do you really hate karaoke bars that much?”
“No,” You said quickly, “Don’t be silly. Of course I’ll be there.”
Derek smiled over at you as you accepted the invitation to join them in some down time. He found himself suddenly becoming more excited for tonight with the prospect of you being there too, and the realisation of his excitement had struck him to be odd.

“Where is (Y/N)?” Penelope asked, sauntering into the bullpen where all her friends were packing up from the days work.
“She went home already, why?” Spencer replied with a questioning frown.
She pushed her glasses up her nose, “I have something to show you guys, and let me tell you, it’s incredible.”
“If it’s another animal video, Garcia, could we save it for another day? I gotta get home and shower before Rossi’s party.” Emily said.
“It isn’t,” Penelope rushed to Derek’s computer since it was nearest to her, “It’s about (Y/N).”
Derek quickly scanned everyone’s faces, them now huddling around his desk. “Baby girl, you didn’t go digging on (Y/N)’s background, did you? Did she give you her permission?”
“Derek, do not make me feel guilty for this!” She sighed, “And no, she didn’t. But I did it because I was concerned about her, and maybe because I was curious too. But, she was acting strangely earlier when we were discussing Rossi’s party, and so I was just looking out for her.”
They all chuckled and shook their heads, knowing full well that Penelope didn’t do this to look out for you, instead just to be nosey. She did some clicking and typing on Derek’s computer and brought up a YouTube video of some festival.
The footage started playing from the audiences point of view, and all that filled the bullpen was the sound of music and screams. Spencer and Derek had squinted and leaned in towards the screen, trying to see what you had to do with this random YouTube video.
“Hang on,” Spencer spoke, “Is that (Y/N) on the stage? Performing?”
“Oh my God.” Emily muttered, “It is.” She watched you for a few more seconds, “She looks so different there.”
J.J nodded, “Girl can sing though.”
Derek stared at the screen, his chocolate eyes never leaving your figure as it ran up and down the stage. He agreed with Emily when she said you looked different — you looked younger, more alive, more free.
This job was full of stress and long hours, and it was enough to take its toll on anyone who joined. You had looked so happy up on that stage, and Derek had never seen you smile that wide in the month you worked there.
It was a beautiful smile. One that he wanted to see in the flesh.
“Why didn’t she tell us she could sing? Or more importantly, why didn’t she tell us she used to be a performer?” Emily queried.
“It never came up,” Penelope replied, “There’s plenty more video’s like this, though. She was basically a full time singer — performing at festivals, weddings and parties. I’m guessing this was why she was so uncomfortable about going to this karaoke bar.”
“To be fair,” Derek started, “We have only known her for a month. Maybe she just didn’t feel comfortable telling us right now.”
In the time you had known Derek, he had been feeling some type of way about you. He hadn’t told anyone — although he was sure his fellow profilers knew — but these unfamiliar feelings he had towards you were foreign.
Derek Morgan was known to flirt with girls that he liked the look of. On nights out, it wasn’t a proper evening if he hadn’t hooked up with a pretty girl. But that was just fun for him. That was him seeking something that had no strings attached.
But with you it was different.
He’d never felt these feelings he had, before, or experienced the thoughts he was having about you.
He secretly got excited whenever you entered the same room as him; his heart pounded when you both had one-on-one conversations, the sound of his voice on your lips was like heaven; your smile had made him want to smile, and the nerves he felt when he was around you, was overwhelming. He hardly ever got nervous — especially around girls.
The unknown was truly eating away at him.
• • •
You had just gulped down your third alcoholic drink of the night, when some of your co-workers had decided to try out some karaoke at the front of the room. They were all merry enough to embarrass themselves in front of their friends and strangers.
Penelope was up first, which hadn’t surprised you, what with her naturally confident personality. She chose to sing an 80’s tune that everyone danced to, and you couldn’t help but laugh as your blonde friend totally butchered the song in front of everyone.
Up next was Derek and Emily who had chosen an early 00’s RnB song, the both of them laughing and messing up the words throughout the whole thing. You had to admit, it was very entertaining seeing your friends let loose and being themselves.
“I’m gonna get another round of drinks in. What does everyone want?” Hotch said, rising from his seat and looking at his team.
“I’ll have the same, thanks.” You replied.
With Hotch disappearing up towards the bar with a mental list of drinks to order, Derek and Emily had returned from the stage with beaming grins on their faces.
“You guys were... phenomenal.” J.J laughed.
“Thanks blondie.” Emily smiled, “And what did young (Y/N) think of our singing?”
“Me?” You frowned, “You were, um. Well, you did your own version of the song really well.”
“Coming from you, that means a lot.”
You were still frowning, “Why do you care for my opinion?”
The team all looked at each other with smiles on their faces, no one wanting to tell you that they knew your secret talent. They wanted to tease you some more, their minds were filled of jokes and puns, but they knew you were smart.
It was only a second longer when it had finally clicked for you. “You guys know, don’t you?”
Penelope grinned cheekily, “Yes! I’m sorry, I went snooping. I couldn’t help myself. But for what it’s worth, you’re an amazing singer. I spent most the afternoon watching your videos and I loved them so much, I had to show everyone else.”
You blushed, “Thanks Garcia.” You paused, “I didn’t tell you guys because I wasn’t sure you’d take me seriously.”
Derek smirked, “Maybe you should apologise for not telling us, by serenading us with a song?” He wiggled his eyebrows.
You glared at him, “You’ve had this planned out all along, haven’t you?”
“Do it for me,” Rossi spoke, “This can be my birthday present from you.”
“I already got you a present.”
“Oh come on, it’s my birthday. Spoil me.”
Hotch had come back with the drinks, placing them down on the table. You grabbed for your drink and took the biggest sip — you were going to need all the courage you could get if you were going to go through with this.
“Just to warn you, I haven’t sung professionally in almost nine months, so I’m probably going to be a bit rough.”
“Nonsense.” Rossi waved off your comment.
As you walked over to the person in charge of the karaoke station, your co-workers had excitedly gotten comfortable, ready to hear the amazing voice you possessed. You were super nervous about showing your talent to people you knew and were getting close to; it was much different to singing in front of strangers.
Once you chose a song that you were comfortable with, you walked up onto the stage and stood in front of the microphone. You hoped that your voice didn’t sound too awful after neglecting your singing for months — singing in the shower and around your apartment just wasn’t the same as performing.
The music had begun playing, your palms sweating as they wrapped themselves around the microphone. You took a deep breath, “How do I get you out of my head? How do I get you back in my bed? Oh no, oh no.”
The second your voice had glided around the bar, Derek Morgan had been captured and taken to another world. Your soft voice was one of the most beautifulest sounds he had ever heard, and he had been sent into a daydreaming trance.
“Tell me how many highs can get me so down, cause it don’t matter how many times I go round, oh, oh, bear me no witness.”
Your voice was so melodic and silvery to Derek, and it was so gentle to his ears. He loved it; he loved your voice. He wanted it to be the only thing he heard for the rest of his life. He wanted to hear it around his apartment, in the shower, when you prepared food, just whenever.
“When there’s no more sins to care about, and the hard rain dark times pour on down, when it’s all been said and done, no one can save me.”
Your co-workers had stared at you in awe, as your talent shone out like a bright light in the room. They were so impressed with your voice and the amount of talent you held, they were speechless. They were enjoying every moment of your voice serenading them, everyone minus Derek, swaying to the music.
“Oh, oh, bear me no witness.” You sang, as the song came to an end.
The second the music had stopped, your co-workers had cheered and whistled as they rose to their feet, clapping at your spectacular performance. Their reaction had made you smile from ear to ear. As other people clapped for you, you giddly stepped off the stage and back to your friends.
“You have such a beautiful voice!” Penelope gushed, pulling you into a hug.
“No one should be that talented at singing.” Emily added, hugging you afterwards.
“Thanks guys,” You were still beaming, “It felt good to be back on a stage, to be honest.” You settled back into your seat.
They had continued to compliment you on your amazing voice for a moment, before asking about your passion and what got you into it. You’d spent the next twenty minutes or so chatting about yourself, which felt slightly awkward, but it was kind of nice having them be so interested in you.
When that conversation died down and another started, you realised that Derek hadn’t spoken much since your performance. You had been listening to Spencer’s and J.J’s chat about Henry, when you turned to the handsome man in curiosity.
You spoke quietly, “You alright, Morgan?”
His eyes found yours, “Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. Why do you ask?”
“You just haven’t spoken much in half an hour. Just making sure you were okay.” You smiled warmly, “Did you like my performance?”
He smiled adoringly, “Of course. I’m still in awe, if I’m honest.” He paused, “I’ve never seen you more beautiful, than when you were up on that stage.”
Your cheeks turned crimson and you looked down at your lap in embarrassment, “You uh, find me beautiful?”
“Are you kidding? Of course I do. Look at you. You’re stunning.”
Your heart pounded in your chest as the truth suddenly came to the surface. You had had no idea that Derek found you attractive, and now that you did, you didn’t know how to react. You weren’t a confronting person when it came to yours and others feelings.
“Well, thanks.” You giggled as anxiety coursed through your veins, “You’re not too bad to look at yourself.”
He chuckled at the cuteness you showed, which was followed by a long pause, before, “Hearing you sing, it just, I don’t know. It made me realise how much I like you. And how much I want to hear that beautiful voice around my apartment.”
The blush from earlier hadn’t left your cheeks; it remained on your face. “I uh. I didn’t know you felt that way towards me.”
When you first joined the team four weeks ago, you had liked the look of Morgan and thought he was attractive. But then, who wouldn’t? Every time you spoke to him and worked alongside him, your stomach was always full with butterflies. But you tried hard to make sure your feelings didn’t grow, it was unprofessional and you were convinced he didn’t feel the same.
“Ever since the first case we worked on together, I felt a certain way around you. Up until now, I had no idea what those feelings were.”
You smiled shyly, “I know I’ve only known you for a month, but I’m starting to feel the same way. I’ve always thought you were attractive, I just never let it go further than that.”
He beamed a confident smile, “Perhaps we should take it further.” He paused, “Let me take you out. On a date.”
Your heart skipped a beat, “I would very much like that.”

Dog Myths VS Facts: Can You Guess?
Tumblr media
When it comes to our canine companions, there’s a lot of information floating around out there. But what’s a myth and what is actually fact? Read on for some things that may surprise you!
1. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
Myth: Not only can you teach an old dog new tricks, but he may even learn quicker than a feisty younger pup. Older dogs are usually calmer, more settled in their ways, welcome the extra attention, and very much want to please you. So grab some treats and teach aging Fido a new trick or two.
2. A dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans mouth.
Myth: Um … no. It’s true that we humans don’t generally catch stuff from getting drowned in doggy kisses, but it’s not because Fido doesn’t have a mouth full of germs (because he does). Dogs have about 600 various bacterial strains in their mouths (as do we humans). The difference is that most canine germs are not compatible with humans, so we normally don’t get sick from them. Notice that I said most — not all. There are definitely some germs that can, and do, pass from dogs to humans, which can range from very mild to severe. Keep this in mind, especially if anyone in your household has a compromised immune system.
3. My dog’s nose is dry so he must be sick.
Myth: Just because your pooch has a warm, dry nose doesn’t mean he’s sick. In fact, you’ll see the temperature and moisture level change throughout the day. For example, you may notice your dog’s nose is dryer when he first wakes up from a nap. That’s partly due to the drop in body temperature, and partly because he has not been licking it while he was asleep. A few other reasons your dog’s nose may be dry: he may be dehydrated or he may have a little sunburn.
The same holds true about a cool, moist nose. It’s not a total measure of health. Moist noses could mean your dog is putting his nose to good use (because when dogs follow a specific scent, their nose develops a thin layer of moist mucus) or it could possibly be runny from respiratory illness.
4. A wagging tail means a happy dog.
Myth: A wagging tail can have many meanings and not all of them are friendly. Dogs communicate with their tails. Positioning, postures, and facial expressions can give you big clues as to your pup’s current state of mind. I’ve written an entire article on the subject — click here to check it out!
5. Every year in a dog’s life is equal to seven human years.
Myth: If only it were that simple! But, of course, it’s not. Dogs do age much quicker than humans, but not at the very familiar 1:7 ratio. Where this rule came from is unknown, but it did originate sometime in the 1950s. At that time the average canine lived for approximately 10 years and the average human for 70 years—hence: 1:7.
During a dog’s first year of life, he actually ages more than twice that number. Check out this AKC infographic to see how the researchers break down canine aging. You’ll see that the size of a dog plays a big part in the aging process. Click here to read it.
6. Dogs are colorblind and can only see black and white.
Myth: No, dogs are not colorblind. Although they don’t see the rainbow in the same vibrant way we do, they do see it in color. Being able to visualize color all comes down to specialized cells in the eyes called cones. Humans and canines both have cones, but we humans have lots more of them. To see how your dog sees color check out my article! You’ll find a graphic there so you can see exactly how Fido sees color.
7. Dogs are as smart as a 2-year-old toddler.
Fact: Believe it or not, this is actually true. Well, Fido might not be ready to sign up for preschool, but studies have proven that he can learn as many words as a toddler. Take the time to work with your pooch and he might surprise you … a lot! Check out my article titled, “How Many Words Can A Dog Understand”. According to psychologist Stanley Coren,
“The average dog can learn 165 words and dogs in the top 20 percent of dog intelligence can learn 250 words.”
8. Dogs sleep curled up in a ball to keep their organs safe.
Fact: Curling up in a ball to tuck in for a good night’s sleep is actually a throwback to their wild ancestors. It was their way of staying safe and protecting themselves from predators. Sleeping curled up protects vital organs, keeps Fido warm, snuggly, and feeling safe. Find out more about dog sleeping positions here!
9. Puppies are born blind and deaf.
Fact: Yep, puppies are actually born blind and deaf. Their eyes are not fully developed at birth and remain tightly closed. It’s the same with their ear canals. A puppy’s ear canals and eyes will open in approximately two to three weeks. Meanwhile, these little cuties have to maneuver around purely by scent. They rely solely on their noses to find their mama so they can nurse and snuggle.
10. No two dogs have the same nose print.
Fact: I’m unique, you’re unique, and Fido is unique too! That’s right! Just like no two humans have the same fingerprints, there are no two dogs that have the same nose prints. And that’s a fact!
11. A dog can suffer foot damage if his nails are kept too long.
Fact. If you hear your dog’s nails tapping on the floor when he walks then it’s definitely time to grab the clippers and trim those nails. When a dog’s nails tap on hard surfaces, it pushes their nails back up into their nail beds, which can be extremely painful. Not only can it put pressure on the toe joints, but it could also force the toe to twist to the side, resulting in soreness or even arthritis.
If you’re a little timid about cutting your pooch’s nails, you’re not alone (especially if your dog has black nails where you can’t see the quick). Check out my article on How To Cut Nails Without Being Afraid.
12. Dogs use their whiskers to sense the world around them.
Fact: Yep, you can think of a dog’s whiskers (also known as vibrissae) as little sensors that help him navigate the world. Those coarse long hairs that protrude from Fido’s face and muzzle are loaded with sensory nerves at the base of the follicles. These specialized sensory neurons send messages to the brain so your pooch will be able to assess what’s safe or dangerous while maneuvering through his environment. So, what happens to dogs that don’t have their whiskers? According to Kimberly Alt from caninejournal.com:
“If your dog’s whiskers are cut off, it can interfere with their ability to navigate their surroundings. Your dog may run into more items and be more susceptible to getting injured. The removal of a dog’s whiskers can be uncomfortable and stressful for them.”
13. Normal body temperature for a dog can be as high as 102º.
Fact: For humans, our normal body temperature is roughly 98.6º F. Knowing that, it would seem like 102º is pretty hot. But it’s actually not for Fido. Normal body temperature for a pooch can range from 101 to 102.5º. So, if your pooch feels hot to you, it’s because he is naturally hotter than you. But not to worry, he doesn’t have a fever – it’s perfectly normal. Above 102.5º would be considered a fever and a trip to the veterinarian would definitely be in order at that point.
14. Paul McCartney in his hit song “A Day In The Life” included a high-pitched dog whistle sound at the end of the recording.
Fact: If you’re ever playing the Beatles Sergeant Pepper Album and you’re sitting with your dog, play the last song on the album called A Day In The Life. At the end of the song, keep an eye on your pooch. Yes, I have tried it with my dog! And yes, her big ears perked right up!
15. Look at him, he looks so guilty. He knows what he did!
Myth: Oh, how many times have we heard this or even said it? Well, it’s actually a myth. Your dog is not looking guilty. Rather, that look on his face is more than likely a reaction to you as you yell at him and shake your finger in his face. He’s confused and maybe even afraid. Dogs live in the moment so whatever he did earlier when you didn’t see him, it’s time to move on.
16. Just like a human baby, a Chihuahua is born with a soft spot at the top of his head.
Fact. Yes, this is true. Just like a human infant, a Chihuahua has a soft spot called a molera. The opening is formed where the parietal and frontal bones have not yet fused together. The opening should close within one to four months. It should be noted, though, that for some dogs the plates never pull together and close. For these dogs, precautions should be taken to protect against head injury.
17. If you are just quickly running into the store it’s okay to crack the car window and leave Fido in the car.
Myth: No, no, no…never! It’s recommended to never leave your dog unattended in a car. In winter it’s too cold and in summer the rising temperature in a car can turn deadly in minutes. Please take a minute to read my article on this subject and you can watch Dr. Ernie Ward, a famous veterinarian who’s appeared on Animal Planet, as he shows you exactly what happens in a hot car.
18. Adopting shelter dogs are a problem.
Myth: Any dog (or person for that matter) could be a problem — you just never know. But just because a dog is in a shelter doesn’t mean he’s trouble. Many of these pooches were family dogs who, for some reason, were dropped off. Sometimes people get down on their luck and can no longer keep their pets. It could be for financial reasons, maybe a move where they can’t take the dog with them, illness, or maybe they just never knew what to do with a dog. In any case, we can’t change what was, but, hopefully, we can change what’s going to be. If you’re thinking of adopting, don’t let this myth scare you away. Your shelter dog will probably need a little more TLC because he’s probably been through a lot, but he may also be way more appreciative that you cared enough to take him home.
If you’re looking to adopt and don’t know where to start, Petfinder is a great place to begin. They have lists of shelter dogs from coast to coast. You can search by, breed, age group, and sex. The website also has tons of valuable articles and content.
19. All breeders are irresponsible.
Myth: After talking about shelter dogs, I felt it necessary to touch onto the subject of buying a dog. I don’t usually delve into anything controversial on this blog, but I felt I would be remiss not to add this. I don’t quite know how, when, or why breeders have become the devil. Responsible breeders and breed clubs maintain a vested interest in the health and welfare of a breed. They work to make sure that quality standards are maintained. Breeders and breed clubs were actually some of the first rescuers.
I would definitely advise not buying a dog from any backyard breeder, pet store, or classified ad like Craigslist. Responsible breeders do not sell their dogs to pet stores or on Craigslist. But if you want a certain breed of purebred dog, and want a puppy, you should never be made to feel like you’re doing something wrong. A good place to begin a search is at the AKC website. You can find breeder referrals, all kinds of breed information, articles, and advice. It should also be noted that the AKC has been the go-to resource for all things dog since 1884.
20. Dog is man’s best friend.
Fact: You bet he his. It turns out that the research is in. Studies have shown that oxytocin, also known as the bonding hormone, is not only at work in us humans, but it has its effects on Fido as well. Just as a mother looks into her newborn infant’s eyes and bonds, that same hormonal response has been documented to happen between dog parent and dog. According to sciencemag.org, canine cognition expert Brian Hare of Duke University said:
“It’s an incredible finding that suggests that dogs have hijacked the human bonding system.”

the party goes with you
damn it all, darling
2017
He was handling this whole thing (that is, his sister's wedding, though to close friends he did just call it "the thing") better than he thought he would, but he largely thought that that was due to his overestimating the amount of attention that was bestowed on the brother of the bride (some, not none, and definitely not enough for anyone to clock that he was kind of falling apart inside). He felt that if anyone, his mom, a well-meaning cousin, god, even the DJ, looked him in the eye and said "How are you holding up?" his stomach would fold in half, his heart would drop out of his ass, and a lump in his throat the size of Sarah and Kath's wedding cake would be the only thing stopping him screaming.
Even Les had a date.
When Sarah had announced it, subtly flinging out her hand as soon as she walked into the living room where she'd gathered them, he'd experienced both happiness and sadness in their most roundabout ways. Katherine was completely perfect for her, and kind, and successful, and funny, and she'd be a real star of an addition to their family. And Sarah deserved this happiness so much, so it wasn't that. The important thing at that point was that Davey was smart enough to unconsciously know what actions were expected of him, the grinning, hugging Sarah, putting an arm round his mom's shoulders as she cried, but there was a horrible, stubborn pocket of irritation that he resisted unpicking until he'd returned to his own apartment, carefully closing the door behind him, slipping his shoes off by the entrance, walking over and taking a seat on the couch before letting out a huge, shuddering sob.
But none of any of this was personal, that's what he had to remember. No-one had planned this wedding with the intention of making him feel like a socially inept sad sack, but unfortunately that was just something inherent, he guessed, in all weddings. Like the first dance, where Sarah and Kath had twirled, staring into each other’s eyes, to David Bowie, and then his parents had joined, and Kath's parents, then Les and Sacha, and all of the cousins and workmates and everyone, but even if Davey had resigned himself to dancing at some point that night, dancing on his own to a love song was really really something else. To the bar for his next drink, while there were no crowds, and he was feeling like his need for wine had already peaked. He leaned on the bar, staring down at a stack of beermats, waiting a few seconds for the bartender to come over.
'Can I have a...' He looked up. Eyes met. Froze. 'You...' The name. God, he had a name... 'Jack?'
2011
Nineteen year old Davey did not like parties but found himself at them often because of his unwavering trust of his older sister's opinions. She'd always told him that parties were the only way to actually get to know people rather than just meeting them, and as much as he hadn't wanted this to be true, he didn't have very much evidence (any evidence at all) that there was any other way. He was glad at least that her advice was remote, that they hadn't ended up at the same college, because he knew she wouldn't love the way he was conducting himself here (although if she was here he'd at least have someone to hang out with.) He leaned against a wall, drink in hand, and when he cast his eye around the room he could easily spot half a dozen people he knew, including the roommate he'd come with, but none that he felt at all okay with actually talking to on purpose of a Friday night.
His mind, over the first four weeks of college, kept flitting back to the David Nicholls quote that had punched him in the gut as he'd ridden the train to Providence to start at Brown. The one in Starter for Ten, about loneliness.
Make no mistake, he had memorised the quote after so many times reading it through blurry eyes, lonely is the absolute worst thing to be... tell someone you're lonely and of course they'll seem sympathetic, but look very carefully and you'll see one hand snaking behind their back, groping for the door handle, ready to make a run for it, as if loneliness were contagious.
It was one thing that the quote was apt and heartbreaking, but another that it was so god damn inconveniently fucking true. He'd almost hyperventilated reading it the first time because he was so shocked and ashamed, that David Nicholls had stared out at him from the pages of a novel and accused him directly: You're lonely, Davey. You're lonely.
And the pathetic self-fulfilling loneliness had followed him around, even lingering under the irresistible hope that of course he would find friends in college, because that's what you did in college. There were ten thousand students there, one of them had to be the right kind of person, but where the fuck were they? They certainly weren't in any of his classes, across from him in the library, or even serving him coffee in Starbucks.
His roommate Spot was nice. Nice was the wrong word - friendly enough, in a kind of begrudging way. But he was cute, too, which was an issue, because Davey tended to be hugely intimidated as soon as he realised he held the slightest attraction for someone. He fought against it, because hello, if there was one person he had to try and be convivial with, it was this guy, but he didn't know if they'd made it to friends yet. As soon as they'd arrived at that party, one someone in Spot's Chem class was throwing, he'd been abandoned, and he was trying not to let himself feel annoyed about that. (And failing.)
Out of nowhere someone approached him. Sirens. Abort. Danger.
'I'm Crutchie, are you new?'
He had nodded and shaken the hand of the most non-threatening person he had ever, ever seen.
'Yeah. David.'
'David. Nice to meet you. I hate these things too, don't know why I come.'
'You look like you're doing better than me.'
'Between you and me, David, I think everyone here is bluffing. Apart from you! Unless you're actually really stoked to be here?'
'No...' First laugh of the night, albeit a quiet huff of one. 'No, I'm really not. Don't know why I'm still here.'
'I'm only here because my friend from home is visiting, and I'm trying to pretend I'm cool. I think it's working!'
'I'm sure it is.'
'I'm actually only over here on business - he, don't tell him I told you... thinks you're cute. And asked me to find out who you are.' Crutchie grinned sheepishly and Davey blushed, not even aware of who this friend was, but sure he was about to be the subject of a cruel practical joke.
'That's not... I'm not...' He cleared his throat and took a sip from his empty cup.
'He's called Jack. Over there.' Crutchie nodded across the room to the most beautiful thing Davey had ever seen. But he wasn't even looking at them, he was deep in conversation with some girl. 'He's only pretending not to see us, promise!'
'Look, if you're making fun of me - that's fine, I just, I don't really feel like it tonight.'
'I'm not! Ok, he asked me to find out three things, uh - okay one, if you're cool, which I think you are, I can't really tell. Two, if you're into guys and three, if you're single?'
'I'm...' He shifted, unsure of whether or not he should play along. 'I'm, yeah I'm into - and, um. I'm not cool. I'm sorry, I need some air.'
This is for the best, he thought, as he headed out into the back yard. It was easier and less embarrassing in the long run to not even try - and he was aware that this was obviously not helping the loneliness thing, but at that moment in time, he felt like it was way easier and less stressful to just let this opportunity pass him by. He'd get the next one.
He sank down on a stone bench, heart beating in his ears, feeling like a total idiot for thinking that tonight would be any different. Obviously the cure for social anxiety wasn't just ignoring it and hoping it would go away, because he'd probably be cured. So was this just his life? No. No no no no no not tonight. He didn't want to think about that now. He stood up, turned to go, and walked directly into Jack.
2017
'Hi.' Jack froze, stammering out the word. 'Davey.'
'Jack...' Davey gripped the side of the bar as the whole marquee tipped to the side, unsure if seeing Jack at this thing was the best or worst thing that could have happened.
'Davey.' A grin spread slowly across Jack's face. 'White wine, right?'
'Right.' He watched as Jack poured him a drink and slid it across the bar where he gripped it like it was about to be taken away from him.
'It's only just clicked,' Jack said, leaning on the bar. 'Sarah's your sister.'
'Yup.' He took a long swig of wine.
'How's the day been?'
'It's been great. Perfect, really. You know, family, wedding cake, all that stuff.'
'And how are you?'
'I'm fine.' Another sip.
'Yeah?'
'I'm great. This is all great.' And another. 'How are you?'
'I'm great, too.'
'How long have you... been back?'
'About a year. Give or take.'
'Was Santa Fe everything you dreamed?'
'Yeah. It was. Yes and no.'
'Really?'
'Well, yeah. It was what I expected, what I hoped it would be, y'know. Problem with wanting something your whole life, is you change but the thing you want stays the same, 'n that's not always... well. Here I am.'
'Here you are.'
'And are you back in the city?'
'I will be. I've been in Rhode Island since graduation, but. I'm over it, I think. I can write anywhere.'
'You're a writer? Like, a real one?'
Davey nodded and Jack grinned again, eyes crinkling as he reached out and rubbed Davey's arm. 'Look at you! God, that's the first thing I ever learned about you, that you wanted to write. Congrats, Dave.'
'Thanks.' All he could think about was covering Jack's hand with his own and making sure he didn't leave his side. But that would be impractical. He glanced down and realised Jack was already refilling his glass. He laughed nervously. 'I was thinking of just taking the bottle and running.'
'Nah, don't do that. Then you wouldn't have to come back and see me when you needed a refill.'
2011
'Hi. I'm Jack. I'm extremely sorry about... all of that.' He glanced over his shoulder, back into the house. 'You'll be pleased to know Crutchie is getting fired as my wingman as soon as this party's over.'
'No, he was fine. Really. I just... It was too crowded in there. Hard to think.' Wingman? What did that mean? Like, Davey knew what it meant, but hearing it used where he was concerned just made him more sure this was a joke.
'I know what you mean. Lot of hot air. Do you mind if I join you out here? I brought stolen goods?' Jack held up two bottles of wine, one red, one white. 'Which one?'
Davey looked between them, and Jack. He nodded towards the pinot. 'White.' And they sat back down on the bench, looking out over the lawn to the stars.
'Who are you here with?' Jack unscrewed the top and passed the wine to Davey.
'My roommate. He disappeared like... five seconds after we got here. I am not having fun.' He said this last part with a bit of a smile - it was still mostly true, and saying it was kind of like a defence, telling this beautiful guy that he didn't necessarily have Davey eating out of the palm of his hand just because he was speaking to him.
'You looked like you were on your way out of here just now, that right?'
'Yeah.'
'Don't have to let me stop you, I just. Really wanted to meet you.' Jack pulled a face. 'That sounded less weird in my head.' Davey studied him for a second. He didn't seem like he was making fun of him. But that's what someone who was making fun of him would want him to think. He sighed, deciding he couldn't know for sure, and that the best thing to do might be to chill the fuck out - just in case.
'It sounded fine.' He glanced over at Jack as he passed the wine, and while part of him felt like he couldn't look directly at him 'cause it would be like staring into the sun, the rest of him just wanted to take everything in. 'I'm David. By the way. Don't know if Crutchie said.'
'He did, but. Nice to get confirmation.' Jack offered his hand and they awkwardly shook over Davey’s lap.
'He said you were just visiting?'
'Yeah, couple of days. Miss that guy.'
'Where are you at school?'
'I'm not.'
'Oh, I'm sorry.'
'No, come on, it's fine. Actually, tonight I've been pretending. Been telling people I'm studying to be a doctor, ballet dancer, told one guy I'm doing a masters in fortune telling and he bought it.'
'Did you predict him anything?'
'Oh yeah, dude, full Trelawney! How about you, what are you studying?'
'I don't know, yet. Maybe pre-law. Maybe writing.'
'Torn between two passions?'
'I wish. Torn between my parents and myself, you know how it is.'
'Guessing the writing is what you want?'
'Mmhmm. But not practical.'
'"Practical" is a disgusting word. Look at the moon.'
Davey glanced up unthinkingly. It was vast and bright, and the night itself was cloudless and mild. It occurred to him that he couldn't think of anywhere he'd rather be than sitting on this bench in this garden.
'What, um,' He spoke up before the moment got too loaded. 'What do you do?'
'I just quit my job. I mean, it was a bartending gig. Not a career or anything. I'm moving next week. 'Swhy I'm visiting Crutchie.'
'Where you going?'
'Santa Fe.'
Davey had only distantly heard of it. It sounded far, and different. It was jarring even to hear it said.
'Wow. That's great.'
'I've wanted it for... for like ever, I guess.' Jack couldn't keep the grin off his face.
'What are you doing out there?'
'When I picture it in my head, I'm just painting and swimming, but I guess I'll have to do something else. Tend bar. I don't know. Wait tables. We'll see.'
'That's incredible. That's so exciting, Jack.' Even the move from New York to Rhode Island had been a lot for Davey. It had felt huge. 'Why Santa Fe?'
'Just always been in my head. Open skies, more room to breathe. Grew up in Manhattan, and like, the idea of fresh air and wide open spaces just seemed like a fantasy.'
'I grew up in Manhattan too.'
2017
They sat on beer kegs outside the marquee, Jack smoking a cigarette, Davey taking steady sips from a pint glass of water. It was a couple of hours since that first drink.
He had done what he'd always known he had to do, even before the surprise introduction of Jack, and that was plastering on a smile and getting through the night. Dancing with aunts and baby cousins he'd never met before, jovially defending his career choice to his grandparents, forcing away any persistent nudges of despair because you knew this was going to be tough, Davey, but this isn't about you and soon enough it'll be over. The Jack thing was a bonus but he was obviously busier than Davey, and there were only so many glasses of wine he could have refilled before he was in serious trouble.
He could be forgiven, he told himself, for getting - not excited, not hopeful, just... pleased and intrigued by this development. It was a perfect storm of love in the air, alcohol in Davey's bloodstream, and horrible acute fucking loneliness that drew him back to the bar again and again, and maybe he was drunk, but maybe this was the universe repaying him for the last.... eight or nine years.
So he'd waited for a lull, when Mambo No. 5 had all the guests screaming towards the dancefloor, and had gone back, no sooner opening his mouth than the bar supervisor saying 'Jack, I think it's time for your break, why don't you head out for a little while?' and nodding her head towards a bewildered Davey. Jack had shot her a dazzling grin and turned to Davey, nodding his head towards the exit where they left, not before he'd grabbed Davey some water.
'So what happened? In Santa Fe?'
'It's more what didn't happen.'
'Oh shit.'
'I mean, like, it was fine. Good. Great, even, just - it wasn't, y'know, amazing, incredible - and because it wasn't, that made it seem worse. I thought for so long that the problem was where I was, and that I'd leave it behind when I left the city behind.'
'I take it you didn't...'
'No. Not so much. I told you, didn't I, before, however many fuckin years ago that was, about the depression thing. Like you'd remember, but -'
'I do remember.' Davey didn't want to let on that he could recall every second of their one previous encounter, but at the same time, he really did. Without telling Jack as much, he wanted Jack to know that he'd thought of him more than once in the six years that stretched between these two nights.
'Me too.' Jack smiled, tight-lipped, turning his face up to the sky, wrapping his arms round his middle. 'I thought fresh air and I don't know, horse-riding would cure it, but, y'know, if they did then more people would do it.'
'And you've been back a year?'
'Yeah. Back to familiarity. Friends. Whatever. You know.'
'Better for it?'
'I think so. Finally getting... actual help, instead of trying to help myself.' They were quiet for a few moments, introspective, until Jack changed the subject. 'I should be getting back in soon.'
'I'm sorry I keep distracting you from work.'
'Shut up. Sorry, Dave, but. You know, it's... really, really good to see you.'
Praying the pale moonlight masked his blush, Davey ducked his head to take another sip of water.
'I never asked, god,' Jack mercifully continued. 'How you holding up?'
Davey spluttered, coughing. Jack reached over and rubbed his back.
'Sorry,' he laughed nervously, setting the water down. 'I just. Ha. No, I'm. Shit. It doesn't matter how I'm holding up, does it? Sarah's day. I'm trying not to be a huge rain cloud. But.'
'You're doing better than you realise.'
'You think?'
'I've glanced over once or twice. You're doing great. Picture perfect.'
'You're making it up.'
'Nah, c'mon, I saw you dancing with Sarah. It was adorable.'
'I did like that part. But like, I knew it was nice, just... god, I'm such a dick, I just don't feel anything apart from...'
'What?'
'I don't know. This is horrible.' Davey leaned forward, groaning. 'Fuck. I'm such a cliche.'
'You're not! Come on, weddings just are cliches. Drunk uncles, the macarena, fricken... big hats.'
Davey snorted. 'Big hats?'
'The - you know...' Jack gestured wildly around his head. Davey leaned into the laugh, tilting his head up, shoulders shaking.
'Jack?' Another bartender appeared round the doorway of the tent. 'We need you back in a sec, bud.'
'Alright.' He nodded as she disappeared back inside. Davey sighed, finally feeling a little buoyed.
'Thanks, for... Look, I'm sorry for - taking up all your time tonight.'
'Hey. Dave.'
'I'm just. Happy to see you. That might be a weird thing to say. But.'
'I'm happy to see you too. I, ah - I always remembered how easy to talk to you were.' Jack stood up, clearing his throat. 'You coming back in?'
'In a sec. Go ahead.'
Jack turned and walked back towards the entrance, but paused, glancing back over his shoulder. 'Dave?'
'Mm?'
'Are you - seeing anyone?'
'No... Can't you tell?'
Jack smiled, nodded, and went back inside.
 2011
It was getting later, and colder. They had started to huddle just a little, shuffling incrementally closer on the bench until their shoulders were touching. They couldn't tell what time it was but they were both a little aware that the house behind them had grown quiet.
'I know that... you're meant to say you wouldn't change anything about where you came from. But I think maybe I would.'
They'd been talking for hours. The merest suggestion of sunrise peered at them through the surrounding houses.
'What would you change?'
'I feel like... I almost got it right, right at the end. With my foster mom. And I wish there was some way I could go back and orchestrate her being in my life the whole time, rather than just from sixteen. I can pretend the system doesn't define me, but like, I don't know what else does. And maybe I'd be nicer if I'd been brought up right.'
'You don't think you're nice?'
'No, I do try to be. I just. I think something's damaged. Inside. Maybe.'
Neither could pinpoint the second where they began to offload everything that had ever troubled them, from student debt to existential crises, but both were glad it had happened.
'I think the fact that you think you might be damaged... means you're going to be okay.'
'And how's that?'
'You say that the system defines you, but you seem to be making the best of it just in case. I know I - god, just met you, wow, but I think you've pre-empted that damage and tried to make up for it. So you're just... really cool.'
Jack glanced at him, all modest smile and tired eyes. 'I know I just met you, but you know what? I'm inclined to believe you. Thanks.'
'And, um...' As Davey spoke, Jack reached over and picked up his hand. 'Santa Fe. Is that part of it?'
'Yeah. I mean I never set out to make it like, this big fresh start, or anything.' He traced a line across Davey's palm and slowly linked his fingers through Davey's. 'But it would be obtuse to pretend that had nothing to do with it.'
'You must be so excited.' He could barely hear himself over his heartbeat in his ears.
'I am. It's what I've always -'
A vibration in Jack's pocket jolted both of them. A persistent beep shortly followed and Jack had to drop Davey's hand to grab his phone.
It was 5am. The message WAKE UP YOU LAZY ASSHOLE flashed on the screen.
'Oh holy shit.' Jack spoke softly after shutting it off. 'It's morning.'
'Yeah. Surprise.'
Jack turned to him, brow furrowed. 'My, um. My bus home is in like an hour. I have to find -'
'Jack?'
They both turned. Crutchie stood on the porch, smiling apologetically, holding his own phone up.
'Sorry, buddy.'
'Not your fault, Crutch. Be in in a sec.'
'Sure. Good to meet you Davey.'
Davey nodded and watched him go back inside, breathless at the thought of Jack being whisked away from him.
They stood up.
'Dave. I'll, um... I'll see ya?'
'Yeah. Sure. Probably.'
'Get my number off Crutchie?'
'I will.'
'And - god. Thank you, I think is what I want to say. Tonight - last night, whenever the fuck it was. It was...'
'I know.' He couldn't choke out more than a couple of words at a time. The tiredness hit him all at once and he wasn't really sure at this point if he'd dreamt Jack or not. 'It was a... a good talk.'
'Exactly. Good talk.' Jack took a step backwards. Then another one. And then he turned slowly towards the house.
'Jack -' In a split second Davey decided he couldn't quite let him go, without -
He closed the distance between them and gently took hold of Jack's cheek, just enough to hold him still so he could plant a soft kiss on the corner of his mouth. Just one.
Fine, two. But the third was all Jack.
Jack turned his head just slightly to catch Davey's lips fully with his own, sweet and searching, like a long, satisfying punctuation mark to their night, and he cupped the back of Davey's neck in a tiny show of how bad he wanted to pull him in tight.
His alarm rang again after five minutes of snooze mode. He pulled it back out, shut it off, and for one last time smiled tight-lipped at Davey.
'Bye.'
Davey stayed standing in the yard, watching him disappear in the house, knowing both that he would probably never see Jack again, and that he would possibly never quite forget him.
2017
The night was winding down. Grandparents were getting into cabs. Kids fell asleep draped across chairs and tables. The music kept on for those faithful few clinging on to the magic of the night, and Davey sat in the corner with his tired parents, wondering if the bar was still serving, casting his mind back over the night. Six weeks later, when the photos arrived, and he relived the night he'd been dreading, he would feel vaguely pleased that his downward spiral didn't come across in a captured image. He looked happy, he had done the thing, and he hadn't let on to anyone that the wedding had caused him about eight simultaneous inner crises.
(He even felt that, if you looked carefully and you knew, you'd be able to tell in which photos he'd just come back from his fix of a certain bartender.)
His mom reached over and stroked his arm. 'We're so exhausted, dear. What a day! We wouldn't dream of planning another wedding for at least, oh, five years. Maybe even ten!'
He let out a quiet laugh at the misguided reassurance, casting a glance around the marquee that had been packed out with loved ones. Predictably, his upset surrounding the night had in part come from the realisation that his sister, just two years older than him, had found her someone, her missing piece, other half, whatever. And he had... Well, he tended to oscillate between feeling like his two or three close friends were enough, and feeling like he was the only person in the world who wasn't someone's number one. Echoes of all the people he'd loved or lost or let sleep with him over the last few years had flashed in his mind from the point Sarah asked if he was bringing a guest to the moment he put on his suit that morning, and while at times he was almost proud of being, theoretically, secure enough in himself to not bring a date, he couldn't put that across to all the guests who smiled at him pityingly. All that, mixed with his ol' reliable social anxiety and sensory overload, had led to a night he wasn't so excited about.
'Well, mom, for you, I'll keep saying no to the dozens of guys who keep proposing. You're welco -' He froze as a hand landed on his shoulder, and he followed his mother's gaze up and behind him to see Jack standing sheepish, jacket gathered in one hand.
'Sorry, to interrupt. I'm just - we're done. All the bar staff.'
'You did an excellent job, dear.' Esther smiled warmly, nodding at Jack because he'd obviously come over to see her.
'Thanks, Mrs. Jacobs. Congrats on today.' He looked down at Davey. 'I - I wanted to say bye.'
Davey stood up, acutely aware that his parents were watching him, and yet utterly indifferent. 'Jack.’ His heart thumped in his chest. ‘Could you - could you not say bye?'
'What should I say instead?'
'Say that - that you won't leave it six years, this time.'
Jack laughed quietly, nodding. 'I won't.'
'And say you'll...' Do it. Come on, Davey. 'Dance with me?' As Jack opened his mouth and began to stammer, the song changed. Bright piano, mellow voice. Songbird.
Jack dropped his jacket on an empty seat and took the hand that Davey offered. On the sparsely populated dancefloor they took their place, hands clasped, Davey holding Jack's waist, Jack sliding a hand up Davey's back, warm through his shirt. They swayed, compelled by the others breathing, both quite unsure that they were actually holding one another.
'You... Always popped into my head,' Davey murmured, lips next to Jack’s ear. 'Every party. Even the good ones. They didn't measure up.' Jack pulled him a little tighter.
'I kept hoping you'd call, Dave. I thought I'd made you up.'
'I thought the exact same thing. Jack...' Davey pulled back just a tiny bit, just so he could rest his forehead on Jack's. 'If you're... moving across the country again, to the fucking... desert, or deep Alaska, now is the time to say, okay?' He melted as Jack chuckled. 'I'm not having you pull that stunt on me again.'
'Don't worry about it. I've found you, haven't I? I'm staying here.'
'Here.' Davey nodded, the motion of his head bringing their lips just millimetres apart. 'Here is perfect.'

Translation below the cut!
Nikaidou Yamato: ....... I feel like I'm gonna hurl..... Rokuya Nagi: OH.... Would you like to step out for a bit and take a break? Osaka Sougo: Are you okay, Yamato-san? Nanase Riku: Exposing the Chiba Salon........ You refused to record Yamato's confession, right? Momo: I didn't, actually. Nikaidou Yamato: What!? Momo: I didn't record anything just now, I swear! Absolutely nothing! You can body-check me! Should I strip!? I'm not wearing my lucky underwear though! Yuki: Please calm down. Momo only pretended to accept so he could find out who the other people in the plot are. Momo: Yep, yep. Gaku's papa helped me out with this too. Yaotome Gaku: My old man did? Momo: Yeah. There's this one really big actress I don't have any connections to, so he's gonna act as the middleman for me. Stuff like that. Your papa's pretty freaked out about this too. Izumi Mitsuki: What do you plan on doing after he mediates that? Momo: Persuade 'em, even if it means shooting them a wink or grovelling. Yuki promised Yamato that we would protect you guys from a scandal, after all. Nikaidou Yamato: ....... But why would you go that far for me? Yuki: Oh, just killing time. Momo: It's a hobby of mine! Don't sweat it. Yuki: However, there are people who won't be swayed as easily. People who had clashed with Shizuo-san in the past, but still have very strong feelings about it. Yuki: I asked him if he could apologize to those people to quell their rage, but he told me off. Said I wasn't welcome in his home ever again, and to never come back. Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: Wait, are you talking about Chiba-san? You asked Chiba-san to apologize? Yuki: Yep. Tsunashi Ryuunosuke: That's terrifying to imagine.... Yuki: It was pretty terrifying. He was stubborn, through and through. Wouldn't even give me the time of the day. But.... Yuki: I think Shizuo-san might listen if Yamato-kun asks. Nikaidou Yamato: ....... Yuki: Try calling him. Nikaidou Yamato: ......Right now? Yuki: Yeah. Nikaidou Yamato: ......I can't. There's no way I could ask him....... Yuki: I'm sure that man wants to do much more for his son-- more than just sending him flowers. Nikaidou Yamato: ....... But-- Kujou Ten: Call him. Nikaidou Yamato: Kujou.... Kujou Ten: He'll spring into action for you. Kujou Ten: I'm sure he wants to go back to being a family, deep down inside. There's no way he could ignore his own son when he's in a predicament, out of responsibility as a father. Kujou Ten: He'll bow his head and apologize if it means protecting you. There's no doubt about it. Nanase Riku: Ten-nii....... Rokuya Nagi: Precisely. When I came to this country, I learned that 'Yamato' was also a word that signified 'Japan.' (1) Rokuya Nagi: That is the name Chiba Shizuo bestowed his child, born in the evening years of his life. Chiba Shizuo, the face of Japan's acting industry. Rokuya Nagi: He loves you-- you're his pride and joy. Nikaidou Yamato: ....... Nikaidou Yamato: ...But what should I tell him? Yuki: Isn't that easy? Just tell him, "It's all your fault." Yuki: The loss of your childhood and the man you admired back when you were in elementary school.... The pain and sadness you've felt up until now.... Hit him full force with it. All of it. Nikaidou Yamato: ....... Nikaidou Yamato: ......Got it. Izumi Mitsuki: Hey.... You okay? Your hands are shaking.... Nikaidou Yamato: I'm fucking terrified, but I'll give it all I've got. I won't run. I'm gonna face him, head-on. Nikaidou Yamato: So I won't hate myself, and so I won't be ashamed of myself.... Nikaidou Yamato: That 'trying your damn hardest' thing? Yeah, I'm gonna do it. Izumi Mitsuki: Haha.... Yeah! It's gonna be okay! Izumi Mitsuki: No matter what happens, we'll be right by your side!
Takanashi Tsumugi: .....So Chiba-san listened to your request then, Yamato-san? Nikaidou Yamato: ......Yeah, he did. I don't know if the other person accepted his apology or not, but.... Nikaidou Yamato: Turns out he's the same as me. He wanted to be loved, but wouldn't work for it. He was waiting for a kind soul to sympathize with him and figure him out. Nikaidou Yamato: He ended up making enemies because of the way he lived. ......But, he did say that he'd try his best to be forgiven. Takanashi Tsumugi: I see.... Takanashi Tsumugi: I'm so sorry I couldn't do anything for you when you were having such a hard time, Yamato-san....... Nikaidou Yamato: Aw, come on. What are you saying? Things were crazy at the office, weren't they? All of that was for our sake, too. Nikaidou Yamato: Haha.... Even as I was worrying about my dad, I'd sneak a thought here and there. "Damn, our manager's one terrifying woman." Takanashi Tsumugi: Huh...? Why? Nikaidou Yamato: Because of "IDOLiSH7." The name you gave us works on the assumption that no one will ever leave. Nikaidou Yamato: Maybe I would've been irresponsible and quit early on, had it not been for that name. Nikaidou Yamato: ......It's a name that ties all seven of us together. There are times when that trust is a heavy weight to bear, but now it's my pride and joy. Takanashi Tsumugi: I'm glad.... I came up with it after seeing that everybody's names had numbers in them. Takanashi Tsumugi: It's almost as if it were destiny. Nikaidou Yamato: Onii-san thinks so too. At first we looked like a random mess of seven people, but now we're like seven irreplaceable comrades. Nikaidou Yamato: ......I won't let IDOLiSH7 end.
Izumi Mitsuki: Alright! I'm gonna cook you guys a feast tonight! Rokuya Nagi・Yotsuba Tamaki・Nanase Riku: Yay! Osaka Sougo: Iori-kun, did you enjoy spending time with your brother? Izumi Iori: I guess so.... We were forced into cosplay, though. Yotsuba Tamaki: Is it true Yukirin's house has cushions the size of your ear!? (2) Nikaidou Yamato: No, no. That was a joke. Nanase Riku: It's been so long since we last had a meal together! I'm really, really happy! Nikaidou Yamato: You're right.... Yeah. Izumi Mitsuki: We've got a concert tomorrow! Eat lots so you have stamina! Nanase Riku: Yeah! IDOLiSH7: Let's eat!
Nanase Riku: Good evening! We're IDOLiSH7! It had been a while since all seven of us ate together, but we did it yesterday! It was super fun! Audience: Kyaaaaa......! Izumi Mitsuki: Ahaha! Come on, that's not something you needa report during the MC corner! Nikaidou Yamato: That hijiki rice really hit the spot. You better make it again sometime, Mitsu. (3) Izumi Mitsuki: Sure, but is that really something you should be requesting during a concert? Nikaidou Yamato: I missed my chance to say it yesterday. Onii-san tends to do that, you see. Audience: Ahahahaha! Nikaidou Yamato: It's best not to hold back. No need to take it in moderation. (4) Izumi Mitsuki: Ahaha! Oh, what am I supposed to do with you.... I know, you dummy! You better eat up and fill that belly to the brim! Audience: Ahahahaha! Nikaidou Yamato: Haha.... Audience: I'm really digging the vibes from IDOLiSH7 today! Audience: Everyone's being so sweet to each other! They must've had a blast during that meal, I guess! Osaka Sougo: I was reminded once more of how valuable and magnificent Yamato-san and Mitsuki-san's existences are. Izumi Mitsuki: Heheh.... Nikaidou Yamato: Haha.... Aw, stop it. Audience: Kyaaaaa! Osaka Sougo: When it was just me, it was very.... Yotsuba Tamaki: That not it at all! Sure the food was spicy, but I'm glad you were there, Sou-chan. Audience: Kyaaaaa! Nanase Riku: Iori and the others seemed fine, but me and Nagi were pretty lonely! Izumi Iori: Well.... I was lonely as well.... In a way....... Audience: Kyaaaaa! Audience: Wait, why!? Did something happen!? Why is everyone being so sappy all of a sudden!? Audience: And all because of that hijiki rice!? Wow, hijiki rice is a force to be reckoned with! Rokuya Nagi: I love everyone the most! Yamato and Mitsuki ought to sing MEZZO"'s apology song, for my sake. Audience: Kyaaaaa! Nikaidou Yamato: Apology song? Wait, are you talking about "miss you..."? Izumi Mitsuki: Like hell we're gonna sing! What kind of penalty game is this! Audience: Kyaaaaa......! Osaka Sougo: Um, it's not an apology song. Yotsuba Tamaki: Also don't call our song a penalty game!! Audience: Ahahahaha!! Audience: They're all such good friends! I'm so happy!! I'm glad I came here today......!! Audience: This is the best! I love seeing IDOLiSH7 being all friendly......! I love everyone......! Audience: I hope they stay friends forever......!
Director: Splendid, Nikaidou-kun! It's just as I envisioned.... No, this is beyond what I could've ever imagined for the last scene! Nikaidou Yamato: Thank you very much. Director: As expected of Shizuo-san's-- Is what I'm tempted to say, but you've got a different kind of appeal, Nikaidou-kun! Director: The characters and worldview of this movie got a hundred, if not a thousand, times more fascinating. Deeply fascinating. And it's all thank to you. You didn't let him end as some cliched villain. Director: The movie's set to premiere at the end of the year, but I hope you're excited to see the finished product. Nikaidou Yamato: You're praising me too much, Director.... Those words are wasted on someone like me. I do look forward to seeing the finished movie, though. Natsume Minami: I hear you're done filming today, Nikaidou-san. Natsume Minami: I do hope that your success in this movie will be enough to cover up any gossip that arises. Nikaidou Yamato: You know, the only thing I was hiding was the reason why I joined IDOLiSH7, because it would've hurt my friends' feelings. That's all. Nikaidou Yamato: There isn't anything else I'm ashamed of. Natsume Minami: ....... Nikaidou Yamato: Go ahead, you can stare at me all you want. Look me up and down, from head to toe. Alright, any questions? Fire away. I'm just gonna shamelessly laugh, instead of throwing crude words back. Nikaidou Yamato: After all, onii-san's wicked at heart.
Tsukumo Ryou: ......Asamiya Tomoe-san has withdrawn from the plan. Several others have also run off, lured away by something else. Tsukumo Ryou: You're not going to eat? It's filet mignon night. Yuki: Sorry, but I don't eat meat. Tsukumo Ryou: Now, it's not good to be picky. Speaking of which, Momo was the one I invited. Yuki: So you're not satisfied with me? Tsukumo Ryou: Oh, how unthinkable! I am delighted to see you, Yuki. I've always wanted to take my time and chat with you. Tsukumo Ryou: If I recall correctly, you hate sharp objects, correct? And would you look at that, there's plenty of sharp objects in this room! How about I help you conquer that trauma? Yuki: ....... Tsukumo Ryou: I was kidding. Momo would kill me. Oh! That reminds me. You met with Asamiya Tomoe in private, didn't you? Tsukumo Ryou: Did you think you outmaneuvered me? Well, you thought wrong. Chiba Shizuo failed to persuade all of them. Tsukumo Ryou: There are still plenty of people eager to expose Chiba Salon. As long as they have Tsukumo's backup, then they're more than willing to-- ....... Tsukumo Ryou: I need to answer this call. Excuse me. Yuki: Go ahead. Tsukumo Ryou: --Chiba Shizuo's retiring!? What kind of tomfoolery is this.... The press conference already started!? Tsukumo Ryou: Understood.... I'll contact you later. Yuki: Oh? So Shizuo-san's retiring? Tsukumo Ryou: ...... Tsukumo Ryou: Now he's gone and done it. An exposé on an active actor would certainly be the talk of the town, but no one would dare to say anything about a retired actor. It's just like how people who speak ill of the dead are despised. Tsukumo Ryou: He sacrificed himself and retired so that his adorable little son wouldn't get scorched by the flames. That's the world's beloved Chiba Shizuo for you! Bravo! (5) Yuki: ....... Tsukumo Ryou: Was this your doing? Yuki: It's a secret. Tsukumo Ryou: Ahaha.... This doesn't pose a problem at all. None whatsoever. While the speed at which I will attain domination has fallen, that doesn't change the fact that Hoshikage is growing weaker. Tsukumo Ryou: After all, Chiba Shizuo was Hoshikage's bread and butter, but now he's retiring. It's like swapping out a fast-acting poison for a slower one. Tsukumo Ryou: ......But, you know what, Yuki? I am very, very irritated right now! Yuki: Why don't you try your hand at a disentanglement puzzle right now? Perhaps it will be for the best, since you might fly into a fit of rage then die an agonizing death. (6) Tsukumo Ryou: Oh, how cold.... I never thought I'd be hated by a star! How shocking! Yuki: I've been irritated for much longer than you have. I've hated you ever since the very beginning. Can I go home now? Tsukumo Ryou: Of course you can. Do come over again sometime, Yuki. I'll have an extraordinary surprise waiting for you. Yuki: ......Surprise? Tsukumo Ryou: It's a secret. Look forward to it.
Isumi Haruka: ....... Natsume Minami: The skies are clear tonight. And the way the stars are lined up forebodes chaos across the entire world. Inumaru Touma: Aren't they talking about us, then? Where's Torao? Natsume Minami: Perhaps he's running late because of a date. Midou Torao: Hey. Sorry for the wait. Inumaru Touma: Don't 'hey' me. Can you at least try to be on time? Natsume Minami: Who was your date tonight? Midou Torao: A lonely, sleepless singer. Minami, how's the song coming along? Natsume Minami: It's almost complete. He and I have been working on this song together, from back when I was in Northmare. Inumaru Touma: Well, I wanna sing it soon. Ya feel, Haru? Inumaru Touma: Huh...? Whatcha lookin' at? Isumi Haruka: All of the fools flooding this town. Isumi Haruka: We'll turn what they see as gems into trash. Isumi Haruka: Kujou Ten.... I'm going to drag you off stage.
To be continued....

My three Annoying Teachers (SakuAka) - Chapter 3
WARNING: LEMON AHEAD!!
My three Annoying Teachers
Chapter 3; History, Math, and Uchiha
"Sakura-chan... Sakura-chan..." a quite frantic voice called me out of sleep. My arms shot up from the softness of the bed and went to rub my eyes, to ease the sleepiness. A yawn cringed from my mouth, as I placed down my arms on the bed, and quirked one eye open. With the open eye, I scanned my surroundings, and noticed Naruto hovering over my form.
"Na..ruto?" I questioned hesitantly, as he gave me a confirmed nod. "Why are you waking me up..." I said in a quite drowsy voice, as the sleepiness had not left me.
"I came in to check on you and then I heard your phone vibrating, Sakura-chan. I thought it might be important so..." he looked down towards his fingers, that he was fidgeting.
"Thanks... I guess..." I yawned and then shut my eye closed, feeling the tiredness overcome me, before it halted as I heard the same noise of my phone vibrating.
With a small groan leaving my mouth, I got up to sit on the bed, leaning my back against the wall that was behind of my bed. I looked over to Naruto, with an tiresome gaze , and pointed towards my phone. Naruto got the hint at immediately and brought it to me, I mumbled a fine thank you, and then stopped with opening my phone. I glanced to him once more, as I could feel his stares on my side, and they were concentrating on my phone.
"Na..Ru...To..." I murmured tediously, while giving him a long wave with my hand. "Please leave. I 'm gonna go back to sleeping and if I find you waking me up tomorrow, on my home studies day. I won't be so friendly." I stated, quite serious, and smirked, when I noticed him tense.
"Y-yes, Sakura-chan," and moments later, I heard the door slam shut. Smiling in content, I opened up my phone, and my eyes blinked.

I sighed and rubbed my temples. 'Which means... A possibility, to meet Itachi-sensei on a day off...'
'It's not really a day off... OMG ITACHI-SENSEI! Maybe he will steal our virginity, omg,' inner got into tons of nosebleeds, at her own comments, and I only shrugged, unfazed.

Message: Hey, Forehead! I am done with the history assignment thanks to you! Are you also done? If so can't we do something tomorrow?~Ino
I laughed at this. "Good for you Ino-pig." and then I scribbled my reply.

Message: Ah right, there is only one group that had to be done by friday. Maybe it's because you're smart ones? My group has to finish the project until next week, on friday. Sucks to be you forehead!
I glared and put up a few scenarios of me yelling and throwing hard things at Itachi-sensei. After awhile of thinking, I finally decided to write my reply back to Hyuuga Neiji. Who was in fact, so kind to answer me.
To: Hyuuga Neiji
Time: 20.12 pm
Message: Sure, I don't mind, but I don't know where he lives...
a few minutes later, my phone moved in my hand, and I looked at the new message.
Sender: Sick bastard
Time: 20.13 pm
Message: I'll get my brother to get you tomorrow, 9 am, Hn. Better not be late.
I stared blankly at the message I received back from Sasuke this time, instead of Neiji, the one I actually replied too... I shrugged it off and closed my phone, putting it back to the bedside table. I let my back get dropped towards the lovely bedsheets and then groaned inside of my mind. 'Why do I have to go up so early... I also still have my history essay to write...'
'Oi, Saku! Why are you complaining, when the sexy, emotionless hottie Itachi will get us with his car, and get us to meet Hyuuga Neiji-sama!~' Inner said in a sing song voice. '
'Since when did you like Neiji?!' I asked, somewhat curiously, but also quite stunned.
'Um... Don't you remember he picked up our pencil ones, during math? When we dropped it? I bet he would be a great sex partner!' drool began dribble down at the corners of her mouth, making me choke on nothing in particular.
''What?! Did that actually happen...' I pondered for a bit, not believing her at all. It was just too unreal, for another kind of quiet guy to be helpful... Plus, he also hung around Sasuke-bastard a lot. Now when I think about it... I wondered who that Gaara guy was, I have never heard of him, but since he's inemy class... Well in my math lessons at least, I should have seen him... Then I never looked around boys during those classes, mostly because Ino was bugging me all the damn time, and asking me to help her, and such. That is how I got more workloads at home...
'YES IT DID! Omg... You are the stupid me, aren't ya?' Inner said with a small giggle.
'And I should stop talking to myself, to the stupid side of myself, that is,' I snorted with a quiet reply .
'-' looked like this made Inner go silent, I smirked deviously, and then closed my eyes, feeling sleep overtake me once more. But before I could actually fall back into sleep, I heard my phone vibrate more violently, as a signal it was ringing. Groaning, I snatched it from the bedside clicked the green button (without even looking who it was), and then put it to my ear.
"Sa..ku...ra...speaking..." I said sleepily my eyes shut and then when I received nothing in reply, I said my name a bit more louder this time.
"Sakura? I heard you will work on a project tomorrow with my lil bro, how have you been?" That was indeed a familiar voice, that I knew pretty well. In respond to her, I rose up from my bed quickly, and opened up my eyes, as I got into a sitting position: placing my feet on the floor and leaning my back a bit against the wall at behind of me. A smile adored my lips, as I decided I have let her wait too long.
"Temari-san! And your brother... Who might that be?" I asked questionably, as she has never spoken about her family, and such, when I met her in england. Well then I didn't tell her so much about mine either.
"He is Sabaku Gaara, a shy guy, don't talk so much, but nice, and so much better then the sicko, " she told me, making me go laughing by her nickname for Sasuke. When we met in england, both were from here, and so both have met Sasuke as well. We didn't like him so much, he behaved so wrong...
"*cough*" I heard from the speaker, as she cleared her throat, I stopped at once. "Also, he told me you will work in two, for the project. That you will split it up."
"Ohh, really? Do you know whom I'll be working with then? And then there's no need for everyone to meet tomorrow..." I said, whilst pondering somewhat.
"Mhm..." it sounded like she thought for a bit, as she mumbled. "I am not sure... You will probably know tomorrow then?"
"Haha, let's hope so. So started school yet?" I asked, smiling a bit.
"Starts next week. Also, I never mentioned this, but Akasuna Sasori is our older cousin, I advice to finish what ever he gave you, before tomorrow. I think you will be held up at the Uchiha household. I also heard that it's a very hard project to do," she explained carefully and I stared, my hues looking up, down, and then in circles.
"Guess I'll have to complete it then... Thanks Temari-san," I said and heard her sigh at the other end.
"You still call me by that? I said Temari was just fine... Sakura, talk to you later," and she hung up, making me giggle. She has told me many times before, just to call her Temari, not that it would make me stop adding the -san after her name, though.
"Wonder how much the clock is," I muttered, yawning widely into the space of my room.
'20.30 Outer-chan. Do we have to do it now, I wanna go back, and have my wet dreams of our Senseis,' Inner whined as a child who had just lost its candy.
"Shut up..." I grumbled, getting up from bed, and strolling towards the desk. I pulled out the chair and say now, opening the lock of my laptop, and turning it on. "Guess it's time for some working time..."
'You go girl!' Inner was cheering me on, with tears at the peak of her eyes, and I only sighed. I already knew what she had in mind: Skip History, skip Math, and then get punished by the teachers.
*Time skip- two hours later(22.30 pm)*
I slammed my head lightly on the comp and felt my eyes roll back into my head, as I fell asleep. And I didn't realize, my finger had made it to the delete button, so I was basically deleting most things of my essay. Two hours later, I awoke from a loud scream coming from the house.
"Huh?" I asked quite groggily, as I took away my head, and fingers, from the laptop. Then I stared at it and almost fainted! "WHAT!?" I half yelled and only saw the first few sentences of my essay. "Oh screw this, I'll finish it tomorrow," I murmured angrily, as I saved the file, then turned it off, and went back towards bed.
In bed, I could not sleep, I turned, and turned. Did not find any comfortable place in the bed, maybe it could have been out of being anxious now when I screwed everything up!
Cussing a few words into the pillow, I took of my pants, and shirt, leaving me in my underwear. And then I recalled a weird dream I had, before Naruto woke me up... It was really weird...
Dream/Flashback
I was running, running, but from what? I did not know, I just ran, and ran. My legs mustered strength, as I ran on tree branches, having people with red clouds chasing me. They were close behind and there were ten of them! Seriously TEN! I looked back a few times, seeing how closer they have gotten, and it made me frightened. Who were those people and why did they look so strange? And foremost, why were they chasing me?
"S-stop!" my lungs screamed back, my heart beating quickly, as my breath had gotten rough, and quick. I received no reply back, only more feet slamming onto tree met with my ears.
And as I stared down onto myself, inspecting how I looked, I got surprised. I was wearing a red shirt, pink skirt I suspected it was, then black shorts beneath of it, I also wore black gloves, and a headband on my forehead, as well as dark boots. As I looked myself over, eyes widened at my new attire, I felt a hand slam into my spine, and making me tumble over.
"This bitch is so fucking loud," a cussing voice commented, as I was screaming, when I fell towards the ground. But before my body hit the solid, a pair of arms had caught me, and now I was leaning against a man's chest! I looked up towards my... Rescuer, capturer? And saw long black hair, tied in a low pony tail.
"Itachi-sensei?!" I almost shouted at him, as a dark blush came upon my cheeks, and he only looked at me.
"Sensei..." he said the words, that got spoken from my mouth, as he looked distressed. "Kunochi, I am not your sensei..."
"Yes you are! You are a sensei that harasses me! Also, what the hell is kunochi?!" I told Itachi-sensei, groaning when his eyes blinked momentarily, it was so fast, that I didn't believe it happened.
"I am not your sensei. And I do not harass you," he said firmly, his red eyes inspecting me, and they were spinning.
"Why do you have red eyes? They're supposed to be black!" I shouted, throwing my fists up into the air, and aiming to hit him. Sadly I failed and my hands got snatched elsewhere, that is when I felt something bite them! I cringed away from the touch and heard soft laughing from above me, I looked up, and blinked.
"Deidara-sensei! You're here too?" My mouth gaped in shock, trying to register what the hell was happening.
The familiar blue eyes stared at me confusedly. "She calls me for sensei too, hmm?"
"Apparently, brat," and that familiar voice... I turned to my right side, where the sound came from, and choked at the short red hair I took notice of.
"Omg, you too Sasori-sensei?" I said in disbelief, while he stared at me like I was some sort of crazy person.
"Why the fuck is the bitch calling you bastards for senseis?" An angry voice questioned, with a growl.
I looked towards the sound and gasped in shock. "Even Hidan-sensei..." I whispered, him smirking as he heard me.
"Look at that, I am fucking a sensei too," he mused, making me think he had lost his mind or something.
"Shut up Hidan." a groan could be heard next to Hidan-sensei's side.
"Kakuzu-sensei..." I said knowingly, earning myself a few stars from my senseis, which only made it more uncomfortable.
"Why is pinky here calling you guys for senseis, maybe she lost her mind or something," I heard a low chuckle coming from next to Itachi-sensei's other side.
"kisame-sensei! I had you last year!" I told the blue man, who only stared back at me, and I blushed at his intense stare.
"Looks like she's calling you for sensei too," Itachi-sensei stated lowly, making it barely hearable. The blue man huffed in reply. "Itachi-san, shouldn't we just get this over with? Not sure what is going through pinky's head here..." a small sigh made it known, from the big blue man, Kisame-san.
"Why are you acting like I am some sort of an idiot?! You three!" I pointed at Itachi, Sasori, and Deidara-sensei. "Always harass me... Especially Deidara-sensei..."
The blonde haired looked at me. "I harass you, hmm?" He questioned and then smirked widely. "If you don't keep quiet, I might just do that, hmm," his lips quirked upwards, grinning wider.
I blushed at his comment and leaned more against Itachi, wrapping my hands around his neck. "I don't think it's wise... You might anger Itachi-sensei," I bellowed, sticking out my tongue, like I was some small child, that loved pranking people.
Then laughter erupted from his lungs and startled me, confused, I opened up my mouth to make a remark, but Sasori-sensei beat it too me. "Brat, why do you say that the Uchiha would stop him?"
"Well... You would too, Sasori-sensei," I stated carefully and eyed his expression, who only wore the same bored look across his face.
"Kunochi, why do you say that?" Itachi-sensei asked me calmly.
"Well..." I started, cautiously. "I don't know why the three of you are bothering me so much... I haven't even done anything to be bothered. I completed your classes last year with outstanding grades... Deidara-sensei has tried to kiss me several times, succeeding yesterday, and Sasori-sensei just gave us new work to do. And you, Itachi-sensei will pick me up tomorrow..." I groaned, seeing all of the men's surprising looks. They all shared a glance between each other.
"What fucking world is the bitch living in?" Hidan-sensei cussed loudly, making my ears stir at the noise.
"Well, who cares, let's just get this over with," two different voices said, the first a bit lighter, and then the second one much darker.
"Get over with what?" I questioned, staring around the group of men, and then I jumped off from Itachi-sensei's arms, as I saw yet another familiar face.
"We have to bring your conscious back, if not, they will kill us."
"PEIN-SENSEI!" I screamed and ran up to him, taking him into a huge bear hug. "Finally a nice person...!"
"The. Fuck?!" Hidan said, gaping in shock from behind of me.
"Pinky... Is hugging leader.." Kisame-san commented dryly.
"Now that's a disturbing sight, hmm," I heard Deidara-sensei add in, while I then could feel Pein-sensei's aura getting darker.
"Deidara..." he whispered darkly, silencing the blonde at once, which only made me yawn into his arms.
"This chick is fucking crazy, so are we fucking doing this shit or not?"
"Wait," Pein-sensei called out to the group of senseis and some unknown people. "she's falling asleep. We will have to try it the next time she wakes up. This time you will lock her in chains and keep an eye on her."
"Yes, leader-sama," and at that moment, my eyes shut closed, and I drifted away..
Dream/Flashback
"Why did I even dream about my senseis... And those clothes... So odd..." I murmured feeling myself sleepy, and drift back into sleep.
*Next day, tuesday*
"Sakura-chan! Sakura-chan!" a bang could be heard from my door and I jumped out of bed, feeling tired, as all of my powers had left me, and as I slept. It felt like I was wrapped into something hard, making me unable to move, so now my muscles were sore.
"What?!" I called back, groaning tiredly.
"Itachi-sensei is here to get you for the project, he told me you have to do?" Naruto said, questionably, and it made me sweat drop.
"How much is the clock?"I said after a moment of pause.
"9.05 am. Sakura-chan, I think you should hurry! He looked scary..."
"Yeah, yeah," as that was said, I hurriedly got up from bed, and went over to my wardrobe, pulling out random clothes. Since I was already wearing underwear, I didn't bother with changing them, and took on a white tank top, and some really short blue shorts. I skipped the socks and went over to the door, dragging it open, and making it accidentally hit Naruto in his face.
'What are you doing to cute Naruto?' Inner whined and I chuckled. 'I didn't do it on purpose..'
'Yeah right...' I just shrugged for a bit and stepped out of the room. "I am going," I yelled back to whoever was awake this early... I was certain that Minato-sensei would be up at this time though.
"Don't be late for dinner, Sakura-chan!" Kushina shouted from inside of the kitchen, or at least it sounded like it.
"Have a nice day, Sakura," that was Minato's voice and I couldn't help but to smile, as I rushed out of the front door.
Moments later of running from the house towards the parking lot, I eventually found Itachi, and his car... A black volvo. It looked quite nice I had to say. I shook my head and then rushed over to him, he was sitting inside of the car, and I opened up the door, to sit beside him. I plumped down on the seat in silence and looked outside of the window, ignoring his presence.
'Kyaaa Itachi-sensei-sama!~' inner got a nosebleed as she stared at the sensei.
I face palmed, mentally at her. Seconds later, Itachi began driving the car, and he was quite quiet as well. Actually too silent, it made me feel uncomfortable, especially after the weird dream I had.
"Sakura-san," he started and I immediately tensed, feeling his intense gaze go up, and down on my side. I decided to ignore it, even though I did not reply, he continued anyway. "where is your bag."
I shivered, as his voice had gotten much more colder now, and it was emotionless seconds ago. "I... I..." I began, feeling my stomach churn, and twist in disgust as his stare had still not released me.
"Yes?" his voice said, back to being emotionless, which made feel less tense, and a bit more relaxed. Not that it was possible to be relaxed around his presence anyways..
"Forgot it..." I said dumbly, feeling his glance leave my body, as the car stopped, at this I looked around where we were. I took notice of a huge house, it looked like a freaking mansion, and it even had a Uchiha crest on the house. As I went to open the door, I heard a lock sound, and blinked.
"You are not leaving so quickly. Sakura-san," he said, his voice lowering for each word he spoke, and it made the disgust feeling coming back to my abdomen. Decades later, or at least it felt like it... I felt fingers wrap around my neck and fastened on my throat, his nails pointing at my lungs. With one pull of his arm, my back met with his hard chest, as I was forced to sit on his lap. His hand, still squeezing my neck, and making it unable to breathe.
"You should learn, not to skip anymore of my classes, Sakura-san," he whispered duskily, as I felt his other hand, that wasn't crushing my lungs, place on top of my navel. It slid down towards my inner thighs, beneath of my shorts, and close to my panties.
'Seriously that was about time! Itachi-sensei! Hurry please! Mhm, now this is hot, so much better then porn,' Inner's lips was smeared with her own drool, as she took out a camera from nowhere, and began taking pictures.
I on the other hand shrieked, though not really making any sounds, as his hand wouldn't leave my throat alone. After a few thoughts inside of my head, I brought my hand towards his, and pierced my nails through his skin. At this, he finally released me, and looked over at his wounded hand.
"Hn, you deserve to be punished," he murmured as he put the bloodied hand on my lips. "lick it clean."
First, I refused, but then as I felt his other hand place just above my panties, I protested into his hand. "Lick it clean, or feel pain." I did as told, after a moment of pondering.
My tongue swirled out slowly past my lips, then I placed it softly on where the blood were leaking from, and began licking. I grabbed a hold of his hand with both of mine and put it closer to my mouth, holding it firm, as I began sucking on the blood.
Slurp suck slurp
I blushed as I felt myself getting wet down there, I pulled back from his hand, when I finished. I cleaned my mouth with the palm of my head, my eyes half lidded, and my face flushed.
"There, let me go already," I murmured, feeling heat rush into my body.
"I don't think you wish that, Sakura-san," he whispered and then two pair of fingers squeezed around my hidden jewel.
A scream rustled from my lungs, but got silenced by Itachi-sensei hand, the one I had just licked off..
''Mhm, this feels good,' inner muttered in bliss, making me get more redder at her flexible comment.
Itachi put his, quite cold lips onto my neck, and shivers went down my spine. His fingers were stroking around my sensitive spot and I couldn't help but to moan beneath of his hand.
'This was really better then porn...' I though silently, eyeing inner, as she partly fainted at the sight.
Then his hand went to pull down my shorts, so my white underwear was visible to the sight, and I was positioned on top of Itachi's legs, as my slightly parted legs, were pointing towards the window. I blushed and only hoped no one would caught us in this act... Well him forcing himself onto me, even if I might gotten some help, I refused to have someone staring at this embarrassing form!
Moments later, he went on with pulling down my panties too, so my hidden parts were visible, and that is when I saw how wet I was. It was seriously dripping down there. A blush crept at my checks and I shut my eyes closely, scared to look ahead.
"This is what you have been waiting for all along, Sakura-san," he spoke, huskily into my neck, as he forced a finger in my tight hole. A gasp of pleasure left my mouth and I tried to stifle in the moans, I felt coming.
After awhile of having his one finger deep inside of me, I saw lightning flash in front of my eyes, and I looked up at once.
"W-who?" I spurted out, noticing the person's ringed, orange mask. My vision shifted towards the phone he was holding and taking... PICTURES?! "S-st-ahhh," I moaned, when Itachi's hand had ceased it's hold onto me. It was still in front of my mouth, but not not really pressing onto my face, so I was able to speak now. I could move my lips freely.
The man who took the pictures waved eagerly at me, while I shoved him a glare. Then it did some weird hand gestures and I felt Itachi-sensei's head nod, as if he just agreed towards the masked man.
The masked man's body turned around in one sway and left us, in pure silence.
"That was for blackmail," he spoke emotionlessly, as another finger plunged my insides, and stirred, hitting my walls forcefully. "So you won't try and skip my classes again." his chilling voice washed over me, as he got back to nibble on my neck. My skin stood at each end and I felt myself screaming loudly. Screaming for pleasure and begging him to stop, I even yelled for help! And that was when his hand pushed onto my lips roughly, cutting up my lips in the process, by his fingernails.
"You should do well and stop your struggling, Sakura-san," this time his voice had gotten colder, much colder, and I didn't like it. This is the first time I saw a different side, of the always quiet, and emotionless teacher. And I must admit, I disliked this with all of my heart. I preferred his ignorance to everyone in the class, doing his own things, but now... Here he was... Touching me, for skipping his class... And I am sure I wasn't the only that has ignored his class... Even if it was a pure accident...
'Pfft, stop that! You will thank me for it in the end anyways, look at how you are enjoying yourself!' Inner came back from the dead and smirked, whilst I shook my head, and made an inward sigh.
Then a third finger joined in and I felt something deep, a real deep sensation cross over. Then it teared at my insides and clawing its way out. A scream burst out from my throat, as I threw my head back against Itachi-sensei's shoulder.
"Ohhh! Aaah! This... Ooohh!" I moaned at the very first time of having an intense orgasm.
'That was... way too intense...' Inner huffed at the corner of my mind and I nodded in agreement.
Zsss Zsss Zssss
I heard the buzzing sound of my phone as it vibrated inside of my pocket, shakily I grabbed a hold of it, and put it to my ear.
"Y..yes.." I breathed lowly, the orgasm still tilting my insides.
"Hn, where are you? It has gone an hour," the gruffly voice said, sounding annoyed.
I tried to speak, but it was so hard to muster the words. The feeling at my purity, was just too much to bear.
"She is on her way, Ototo," Itachi said into the phone and brought up his hand, that laid above my nakedness. As he hovered it over my eyes, I took notice of how wet his fingers were, with all of my love juices... He placed some of his fingers inside of my lips and I groaned in reply, blushing madly.
"Mghfkmhgfghgf," Itachi ignored my complaints and snatched my phone of my ear, deciding he would speak with his jerk as of a brother.
"Which one is Sakura-san partnered with, ototo," he asked into the speaker, making me roll my eyes , 'Like it was important for him to know,' I thought with a sweat drop.
"...Gaara." he murmured after a pause, I bet he got confused as well to why his brother even asked.
"He already left, hn." He added moments after.
"Then I'll drive here there, which house?"
"He said they're staying with their cousin, Sasori-sensei...Hn."
"Thank you, ototo," he said, hanging up, and putting back the phone in my pocket. His hand placed at my back and pushed me slightly forward, so my face splashed into the window.
"That hurt," I swore quietly, rubbing my cheeks, and forehead. Before I even had the chance to fix my panties, and shorts, he had already started the car, surprising me. In a hurry I brought my hands down to my panties, dragged them up, and felt how the wetness from the fabrics glided against my thighs. I shrugged the feeling off and put back my shorts, as I sat there silently in my seat, my crotch tingling unstoppably. My face was red, in heat, and of shame.
'Hey.. HEY SAKURA!' my inner shouted from the depths of my mind and I scowled at her loudness. 'What?!' 'Does this means... We will also meet Sasori-sensei... And Temari's little brother Gaara?! We might even meet Temari too!'
'Are you thinking any dirty thoughts again inner...' I heaved an tiresome sigh at her.
'Oh come on, like I didn't see how you enjoyed Itachi's fingers. Geez.'
I decided to go back to ignoring her. Moments later, Itachi-sensei stopped his car for a second time, and this time I spotted an apartment complex. 'And I was sure Sasori-sensei was also rich...'
'Who cares, he's hot as hell!' Inner cheered and made a high five to her own shadows... Yes, shadows... Blinking, I changed my attention towards my teacher, who had said something..?
"Um... Repeat that please..." I whispered, uncertainly.
"Tell Sasori-sensei, to check his phone, Sakura-san," he spoke and I nodded swiftly, as I then got out of the car, seeing how he smirked towards me.
'But why did I have to tell him that anyways...' I sighed and watched as the car retreated and drove on the roads. With a small slump of my shoulders, I headed towards the apartment, and glanced around. 'Either the door will have "Akasuna" or "Sabaku",' I pondered silently towards myself.
'I don't think there will be Sabaku, but Akasuna... It's Sasori-sensei apartment right?' Inner told me, carefully looking for my reaction.
"Yeah, yeah, I don't care," I muttered fiercely, trying to dissolve of the image of her stripping at a bar...
"Are you... Talking to yourself?" I heard a low voice at the front. I glanced up and saw someone that resembled Sasori-sensei a bit, but he had dark eyeliner around his eyes, and a tattoo over his right eye.
"Gaara?" I said without thinking.
"Yes," he nodded and placed a hand on my shoulder. "this way, Haruno-san." He led me inside of the apartment.
When we got inside, I stared amazed at the apartment. It was big and beautiful, taking my breath away. There were lots of red, gold, and yellow adoring the walls. In the corner of my eyes, I spotted crafted dolls at the shoe rack.
"Wow...!" I said, as my lips had parted, and I was now gaping at the pretty handy work.
"It's made by my cousin, Sasori," he told me calmly, while dragging off his footwear, and hanging his jacket by at one of the crooks. I followed his lead and pulled off my own shoes, sandals actually, and then I placed them next towards the tiny dolls. They were in a very small size, I noted.
"Come," Gaara had rounded his fingers around my wrist, as he pulled me along, wherever we were heading too. Then we stopped, having gotten all the way towards the living room, and it was seriously huge. From the outside, it was impossible believe that something big would fit.
He directed me to sit at the couch while he was getting the needed things for our project. As I waited, I heard the front door swirl open, and then moments later, Sasori-sensei entered the living room. First we shared a few glances, until I decided to break it, and look away. This action made him chuckle slightly.
"Are you done with your essay for my class, Haruno-san?" He asked me, appearing as if he didn't care anyway, but had to ask, since I was his student.
"No..." I face palmed, remembering that I had accidentally deleted the whole thing. Only leaving behind a few sentences...
"Sasori-sensei!" I called, recalling what Itachi told me to do.
"What?" He snapped angrily, ruffling towards his red locks, while his eyebrows furrowed slightly. I assumed he wasn't in a very good mood... I shuddered as I heard his next words. "Do keep me waiting and I'll do something about that mouth, of yours, Haruno-san," his voice ripped with venom, making me even more scared to say a word. But I forced myself to speak. "Um... Itachi-sensei, told me that he wants you to check his p-hone," I said simply, feeling a bit awkward, as I stuttered towards the end.
For long moments, I could feel his gaze set on me, and then I heard a click sound, probably coming from his phone. Then a smirk appeared and he turned around the phone, to show me a picture... A picture of myself... Naked in Itachi's car... Having an orgasm...
'OMG!' I screamed, my nose bleeding at the view of myself. I turned around and leaned at the far end of the cough, swinging back, and forward. "This can't be happening... This can't be happening... This can't be happening... " I chanted to myself, as I heard the sound of the phone shutting close, and soundless steps approaching.
"You shouldn't have enjoyed that, dirty little girl," a warm breath stung my ear as my nipple got pinched from under the cloth, making me pant. Then he pinched it harder and I kept a scream from escaping my mouth. "painful, isn't it?"
"S..stop," I gasped quietly, feeling his other hand slid underneath my shirt, and press against my scar.
This made my inner loose her mind, she was already throwing things in my mind, and yelling murderous, threatening words. I tried to calm her, but with the situation I was in, my own was soon to be lost. I felt tears swelling at the peak of my eyes, I mustered enough power to keep them from leaking, but it was so hard... So painful... The memories...
"Sasori, what are you doing to my partner?" That was Gaara's voice, anger hinted to the tone he used while speaking.
This made the red headed sensei let go of his grip. "Nothing of importance, brat." and after while, of me just staying there all frozen, there was a hand on top of my head. Stroking it gently. I visually relaxed into the kind gesture and felt him pulling me too look towards him, my watery eyes opened, and closed, staring.
His fingers trailed the water at my eyes and whipped them away, with a small smile. "Can we begin now?" he asked in a quiet whisper. I nodded my head and tried to form a smile at my lips, but it was hard.
I sat next to him, as he went over to sit by the equipment, and then he explained to me what we had to do. We had to do a poster with math problems, very complicated math problems too. So there were some colored pencils, as he gave me the paper to color. I did as told and watched in the corner of my eyes, when he was attempting to solve the problems. I must say, he was a genius. The problems he had solved so far, were really hard, but it didn't take him a few seconds to complete them.
'I think we will get passing grades for this, what do you say inner?' I laughed when she sniffled in response. '… I want my... Punishment... By Itachi-sensei... Meanie outer-chan...'
'Of course you do,' I said, smirking, as I went to grab a hold of a pink pen, and a blue one. I smeared pink and blue together on the paper.
"Done," Gaara had put down the pen on the table and looked over to my work on the poster.
"You're quick," I stated the obvious and he merrily nodded.
*30 minutes later*
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, as I finally finished with the poster. I handed it towards Gaara, who had offered to put the pieces together. I thanked him gratefully as I checked my phone.

"If it is at four, I don't need to hurry..." I murmured, earning a concerned look from Gaara. I laughed sheepishly towards him. "N-nothing!" He still eyed me suspiciously before he went back to the work at hand.
I went on to read the second message.
Sender: Flirty teacher
Time: 11.58 am
Message: *picture showing* I see you had fun with the Uchiha, hmm. You better stay after class tomorrow, hmm.
My mouth gaped at the picture and I hurriedly covered my phone, from Gaara's silent stares.
'Even Deidara-sensei has that picture... Those three,' I shifted my weight on the cough, a bit more to the side, as I uncovered the phone, and began typing a reply, hastily.
To: Flirty teacher
Time: 12.02 pm
Message: Deidara-sensei... That was really uncalled for and a teacher shouldn't be blackmailing his student, now I really want to skip you lesson tomorrow.
After clicking the sending button, I continued with reading the last messages on my phone.
Sender: Ino-pig
Time: 11.55 am
Message: OI FOREHEAD! Guess what, I got an A on the essay! Thank you so much for the help, I promise I'll buy you anything you wish, FOR FREE!~Ino
This made me giggle slightly.
To: Ino-pig
Time: 12.05 om
Message: That's good piggy-chan, I want lots of ice cream on saturday! Also, did he already correct yours then? I need to hurry with finishing mine. T_T
Now I went towards the last message. "Another one from Naruto," I stated calmly to myself, before I opened it.
Sender: Naruto
Time: 11.50 am
Message: Sakura-chan... I am sorry for waking you up earlier... But Itachi-sensei really scared the shit out of me, believe it!
I decided to write him a reply.
Tor: Naruto
Time: 12.10 pm
Message: Don't worry about it Naruto, I'll see ya when I get home.
One second my phone vibrated again and I looked at the message board.
Sender: Naruto
Time: 12.10 pm
Message: SAKURA-CHAN! WHERE ARE YOU?! Hurry home, SAKURA-CHAN!
Ignoring his message with a silent glance, I placed down my phone back inside of my pocket, where it belongs, and looked towards Gaara, when I heard something buzzing.
His hand reached out towards the phone on the table and he turned on the object, putting it to his ears. He didn't get any chance to speak, as a person yelled into his ear.
"GAARA?! DO YOU KNOW WHERE SAKURA-CHAN IS?! SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SAME PROJECT AS YOU, RIGHT?!" It felt like if my ears would drop from my head and get destroyed, that is how loudly he yelled.
Gaara had taken the phone away from his ear, as he looked dissatisfied. After a moment, Naruto's voice quieted down, and we heard another at the end. "Gaara, sorry for my brother. He's just worried about Sakura-chan, if she is with you, tell her I said Hi." then we were met with a *peeep* sound. Gaara closed it and held it, securely, as if he was in deep thought.
"Well, we are finished here," he turned to me.
"You know the Uzumakis?" I voiced my thoughts aloud, seeing a smirk adore his lips. Then his lips parted. "Yes. We are friends."
"I see..." I mumbled and rose up from my sitting position on the sofa. "I'll take my leave then. I still have to finish the history essay, that Sasori-sensei handed on monday."
"You where the one that skipped, both Sasori, and Itachi-sensei classes? They did not look pleased. Having their lessons skipped on the first day," he noted slowly, rising up as well.
"Yeah.. Though it was an accident, but oh well," I muttered and shrugged.
"Mhm, I'll let Sasuke, and Neiji know, that we are done."
"Please do," I said and thanked him and as I began walking, I felt the wetness between of my legs grind against my thighs, and my hidden parts. I growled silently. 'Those stupid fluidly panties..'
"You ok?" He asked me, I only grimaced back, and strolled out of the living room, giving him a last wave. "I can find my own way out," I called, when I heard him walk after me.
As I stood outside of the living room's door, I found my sensitive spot tingle even more, and it frustrated me. "I'll borrow the bathroom first..." I announced, as I made my way towards what seemed like a bathroom. I opened up the door and then stepped in, hearing water pouring, from behind of the shower curtains.
I yelped quietly, when I saw Sasori-sensei step out of the shower. The curtains parted and my eyes slid down from his chest, towards his manhood, staring with widen hues. Then I covered them at once, while inner got a HUGE nosebleed.
'OMFG THAT THING IS HUGE!' inner had time to say, before she was out blank.
"Sakura-san," he observed dryly, not caring in the slightest that I saw him naked. "why do you smell like you are in heat?"
My eyes flashed in anger. "I am not!" I retorted, trying to stand my ground, in my teacher's house.
I could hear him chuckling. "Then why is there a stain on your pants? Sakura dear."
"There is not!" I said shielding my crotch from his view, then he came closer, his naked body... So close! His newly cleaned hands placed on my shoulders and the warm water stained my clothes.
"I doubt that," he said, looking bored as he stared into my eyes. I gulped when I saw him smirking. "pardon."
I raised an eyebrow when he went to sit on his knees, in front of my hidden parts! He pulled down, both my panties, and pants in one swish. My hands were still covering my innocence and so he had to pull them aside, to be able to see anything. Which he did, he pinned my arms behind of my back, with one hand. I snarled threatening, but he ignored my rage, and went on to part my neither lips.
"You're dripping," he stated and smelled my scent... His nose was pressing against it and I felt the tingling sensation increase like to no end. It felt so weird and at the same time so good.
'I am going to faint again, I fucking love this,' inner said, as she slowly began waking up from her unconscious state, but it didn't really mattered. She had already gotten back into a deep, pervy slumber.
"Sasori-sensei... Please stop, I... I need to leave," I said, hoarsely, as I missed the feeling of cool water in my mouth. It was so dry.
"Is that so," he spoke lowly, while I felt a finger getting inserted.
"Oooh god," I whimpered at the feeling and felt myself leaking, more sticky liquid pouring out of my lower lips.
After a few moments of my face getting hotter and the tingling sensation, enlarging. A soft knock could be heard. "Sakura?" He said. "you have been in there for awhile already." he commented, making me blush madly, as my body lowered, and pushed Sasori, making him stumble a bit. I took this chance and hurriedly put back my panties, and pants, while I opened the door slightly, to make sure he wouldn't see the naked red head on the floor. I slid out between the door gap and closed the door, grabbing a hold of Gaara, and pulling him with me. Like I would let him find out that I accidentally stepped inside of the bathroom while Sasori-sensei was showering!
Gaara looked taken aback at my pulling, but didn't make any sign of trying to get out of my grip. We made it towards the hall and I grabbed a hold of my shoes, throwing them on.
"Then I'll take my leave now, it was nice meeting you Gaara-san," I bowed respectfully and he nodded, watching me as I turned around, and left.
When he had shut the front door, I dashed out from the apartment lot, and went to stand a few good meters away from it. Then I check the clock on my phone, staring at the time. "13.00 pm..."
"Soo... How do I get back to the Uzumaki place," I pondered, staring absentmindedly on my phone's screen. With no inner to reply to my worries, I sighed, and opened placed the phone on my ear. Waiting for the person to answer. After a small *peep* sound, I heard the familiar voice of Temari.
"Hii, need any help?" she questioned, curiously.
"Can you pick me up, outside of your cousin's apartment?" I asked, with an hopeful glint in my hues.
"Sure, I'll be there in five minutes," she told me and then hang up. I smiled and after a few minutes, I could already see her car driving in, I did a small victory dance in my head, as Inner was snoring away this stunning day...
I strolled towards the car, opened the door, and plopped down on my seat. I smiled cheerfully to her.
"What have you been doing over there?" she asked, with a sly smirk set in place.
I blushed. "Me and Gaara got to be partners, so we finished our part just moments ago."
"Ahh," she mumbled, focusing on the road, as she started the car.

Omg thank you for this long reaction and WE’RE SORRY!
All the social media things... we wanted to keep it as realistic as possible and sadly that’s how it is with rumours and so on (that doesn’t mean we didn’t get super angry at the tweets and stuff that we made up)Okay but that Ashley girl from Hollywood Today with the YouTube videos: I got so mad at her even when she’s made up. Noelia can tell you how irrationally mad I got hahaha“PROTECT YOUSANA AT ALL COSTS“ MOOD!“fuck you Robert I hate you“ Another character we made up that I hate... writing this chapter was really nerve wracking hahah + “I hate everything about this.” About that song: Well, I heard it and was like ‘Okay this is perfect for this chapter’ and told Noelia so we had to include it. Sorry for making you sufferFariha really just means well :DThese idiots just love suffering... “PICK UP THE PHONE YOU IDIOT! IT’S THE SHIP CAPTAIN YOU CANT JUST BE IGNORING HIM” I burst out laughing at this but yes, Yousef should listen to you“STOP TWISTING THE KNIFE OK IT’S ALREADY THERE IN MY HEART AND IT HURTS” SORRY!!!
And finally, thank you! For always leaving these amazing reactions. We love reading them! And answering is always a lot of fun too! And thank you for saying it’s in line with how the media can be because we wanted it to be as realistic as possible. :D
