I just saw a video on TikTok from two trans women mentioning they should be able to participate in sports fair and square. They were in cheerleader outfits just so you won't be confused about my cheerleader comment. Some of the comments were disagreeing so here's my point made in a series of comments.
1. People are proving their misogyny with the looped belief that females need to be protected and categorized away from males to be 'safe.'
2. ^^ People use this ideology to make born-males seem like a monster in sports, and see trans women as using their non-existent 'advantage' to 'win.'
3. Cheerleading isn't competition + by half a year or more on HRT their bone density and such is easily comparable to that of a cis woman.
4. A person's genetic make-up + internal and external reproductive anatomy are not always reliable indicators of athletic performance.
5. Most trans women don't win in sports. You're making up anti-scientific lies to separate trans women and treat cis women as weak as usual misogynists.
6. Plenty of females are far better than males in sport. It varies from person-to-person and their genes and training are big factors.
7. The only reason you people bring up biological sex is to prove your resilience towards trans women since you believe they're predatory. Be logical.
8. If you so cared to be factual, you'd do your research on transitioning and why trans women are seen in sports more than trans men.
I understand that some people don't mean to be offensive and just don't understand. People are made to believe in harmful things to pit against trans people. But please do your research if you really care about being so correct.

No desire for my favorite character to be the best striker, or even for two characters whose relationship goes far beyond platonic to get together, can compare to the desperate need for professional psychological help in Blue Lock.
These kids aren't alright.

I have so many problems with karamo but the s8 finale… he sees an asian woman who has severe trauma surrounding her father due to (some) asian culture(s) not allowing people to properly talk to their parents about their emotions or issues with them because that could be seen as disrespectful, oui? so she hasn’t spoken to him after her mother died and that is hard, yes?
and this man chooses to surprise her in the car (after making her cry) with an unannounced FaceTime call with said father, which forces her to immediately talk about why she’s upset with him after three years of not speaking??????? without being prepared, without knowing what to say to a stubborn elderly asian man who never learned to deal with his emotions and fucked up because of it? REALLY?
the LEAST he could have done was tell her in advance so she could write it down for herself and so she could be prepared
sure they talked. sure they made a start. but at what cost. what violence did this wreak on her for no reason. jesus CHRIST THIS MAN ANGERS ME SO MUCH

no one hates Kevin James as much as he seems to hate himself. the Paul Blart movies are written BY him! they are both just 1.5hrs of belittling his own real, human body! a body that, honestly, is not even that fat. like i wouldn't really give a dude that size a second thought, but Mr. James puts on clothes 1-2 sizes too small and then writes hours of jokes about disgusting and vile he is. that man is not doing well.

So if the theory proves true that Flapjack used to belong to Caleb, then
Tumblr media
would the scar on Flapjack’s eye be a result from the day Caleb died? Is it a knife wound?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even worse, when Hunter stopped Darius in Any Sport in a Storm, did Flapjack think it was going to happen again?
Tumblr media
His wings aren’t covering the entirety of his face, just his remaining right eye. Like Hunter, Flapjack was also expecting to get hurt again. Just like he and Caleb were all those years ago.

Thoughts on Grima in FEH? I personally am a big enjoyer of this horrible little guy getting picked up by the scruff and dragged kicking and screaming into therapy by the summoner.
OOF... UNFORTUNATELY... I have zero complex thoughts about Grima 😅 I do think it's interesting, from the many Grima and Robin interactions in FEH, that there's almost this self-fulfilling prophecy to it, like Grima believes no matter what they Have to be this way. That all roads lead to this, and there's no changing it. And in believing that, they make it their reality.
HOWEVER. I do get really stuck on just. How they talk. Top Ten Least Effective Insults: Worm.
Tumblr media
They are like middle school bullies to me...... at least in FEH specifically where they will just harass Robin to no end LMFAOOO (and anyone else they have a bone to pick with)
I do think they can have a little therapy. As a treat :) (they could use it.)

A groundbreaking study that was sponsored by the International Olympic Committee and released late last week sought to compare a range of athletic abilities between trans athletes and their cisgender counterparts. The finding that trans women athletes are at a relative disadvantage in many key physical areas relating to athletic ability and perform worse on cardiovascular tests than their cisgender counterparts could be the first step in fighting back against the conventional wisdom conservatives have spread that trans women’s participation is inherently unfair. Over the last several years, few anti-LGBTQ policies have taken off as quickly within mainstream politics as those banning trans women and girls from women’s and girls’ sports. Prompted by the success of trans college swimmer Lia Thomas, who won a national championship during her senior year, dozens of conservative states and sports administrators rushed headlong into outright bans on trans women’s rights to participate equally in sports. The political argument seemed simple; natural, even. We all know men are superior athletes to women, conservatives argued, so allowing trans women to compete with women would be inherently unfair. Because it  felt like common sense to a lot of people, it made for a compelling political argument. But the study that the IOC commissioned, and the University of Brighton conducted, found that while trans women are stronger in some respects, like grip strength, cis women have stronger lower bodies. The study also found that trans women have a similar bone density as their cis women counterparts, which rebuts a frequent refrain from conservatives who’ve argued otherwise to justify banning trans girls and women from sports. All the participants in this study participated in competitive sports or took part in physical training at least three times a week. The 35 trans athletes had to have completed at least one consecutive year of hormone replacement therapy. It’s just one study, so we should avoid drawing grand conclusions from it, but, at the very least, the study shows that the bodies of trans women who’ve been on at least one year of hormone replacement therapy are very, very different from cis men’s bodies. In their conclusion, researchers cautioned against hurdling into blanket bans on trans women’s participation in women’s sports and declared that using data comparing cis men and cis women’s bodies to justify these bans is wrong. It has become commonplace for anti-trans campaigners to make arguments against trans participation in sports by citing the difference between cis men’s and cis women’s bodies; in other words, pretending that trans women’s bodies are identical to those of cis men’s. [...] Then again, the trans athlete debate has never really been about fairness or safety in women’s sports. It’s always been about putting laws on the books that legally define trans women as men as a precedent for passing more anti-trans laws unrelated to sports. So this research will likely not make a difference in red state legislatures.
Katelyn Burns for MSNBC.com on the new study partially backed by the IOC that refutes anti-trans claims about trans athletes (04.22.2024)
Katelyn Burns wrote an opinion column on MSNBC.com pushing back against the anti-trans justifications used to ban trans women in women's sports, as a new study funded partially by the IOC published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine reveals that that trans athletes are at a disadvantage compared to their cisgender counterparts.
