Jason also appears in the Lego DC Super Villains games that i highly recommend as well especially because my girlfriend is a mega fan of it and i don't know much about Lego Batman 3:Beyond Gotham but please avoid the aformentioned original Rhato,Red Hood:Outlaws and the Gotham Knights game as they feature extremely problematic writing not limited to but including racialized misogyny and ableism and do disservice to Jason himself anyway so you wouldn't want to consume them to begin with if you want to like him.I have mixed feelings on the Arkham Knight and Injustice games series' but they are objectively fairly good so i wouldn't say no to giving them a shot to see if you like them

And for the finale we have Wayne Family Adventures-Definitely a good read but to be totally honest it does Duke DIRTY and it sucks so much of DC to have marketed as his series to not only not follow through at all and make it an ensemble cast instead but ALSO deprive him of his actual characterization and story to make him a demure weak black boy stereotype.I won't judge you at all for liking it if you decided to read it or have already but kindly keep this in mind and consider joining me and my mutuals in our rewrite of it to give our Signal of Hope and Chaos the writing he deserves or at least support us through likes and reblogs!Happy Jason readings and have a good day💕

Agnes was born on the Island being happily raised by her loving parents. She was the only child in the family and her parents had spoiled her at some times. She even mostly looked up to her dad. The man who had created fireworks as a side job for special events.

She was very amazed to see her father's creative work. Seeing his creation of making such a beautiful display makes her feel like she wanted to create some too!

She started to make something small. Like small firecrackers. She successfully did it but it almost burnt down the banana trees that were in her backyard. And her mother gave her a good ear folding for that.

But her father was VERY impressed. So he started to teach her how to make explosives as much as he could.

And when Agnes turned 15, she noticed her father was getting ill and knew that they didn't have enough money to get the medicines that the doctor had prescribed. Until she saw a poster about a science fair that will give out money for the students.

She started to feel excited and has hope that this will help her father. So she signed up and started working on her project. Which it's related to fireworks. Getting every detail right of how her father taught her about the fireworks.

Her project had really got the attention of the judges and was very impressed by this much knowledge from a young student. So she won the prize and finally got the money for the medicine.

But...when she arrived home to tell her parents the news. She saw her mother was crying in the living room and her aunty, her mother's older sister named Safaia, was there to comfort her. And she knows why. She knows that her father was gone before they could even call the ambulance. She was devastated and broken to hear her father had passed away.

It took a while for her family to get over their grieves and Agnes stayed strong to help her mother out. When she's a senior in her high school days. She noticed that the school has a special guest coming to explain about Military work.

She went to the gatherings and saw the presentation and the amount of money that they'll be giving. Which gives her great ideas of trying to sign up for it.

Her mother didn't agree to this when she told her about the marines. Afraid that she'll lose her only child and part of her husband's creation. But Agnes had reassured her that she will spend as much time when she comes back from her deployment.

So...her mother let her go and let her sign up for the military after High School. It took Agnes a while to get through the training until she had made it through enlisted. She was also interested in joining the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) as a specialist.

And her work had paid off when she was picked to help Kanoa and Tiala to assist in one of the missions that is related to bombing. Hostages were used with bombs around them by one of the terrorists.

Kanoa could see how fast and swift Agnes did of disarming the bombs and making new ones to defeat the enemies. So, he decided to pick her to join the WTF. Which she gladly took. She knows that her knowledge and skills of being a bomb expert is a blessing to her. And giving her enough passion to save the people around the world.

When The Honeymoon Stage Wears Off

I was circling old posts from my main blog and found an old ask by anonymous:

Gods are a huge part of my path both as a pagan and a witch. That being said, I have a very difficult time connecting with them. Usually I'll find a deity or two that I connect with and maybe even a whole pantheon, but somewhere down the line I always find something that just disconnects me from them for some reason. Any advice on working with the gods and being able to stick some and not switch around so much??

My initial answer wasn't too bad, but I want to expand on it.

There is a Honeymoon phase in any new thing. You are excited by this new thing, wanting to look into it more, enjoying yourself.

For anthropologists who go to study other cultures first hand, the first stage of four is the Honeymoon stage.

Defined here as :

This is the first stage and occurs on arrival. In this stage everything is new and exciting. You are intrigued by cultural differences and similarities. There is a feeling that you could conquer anything and that there will be no trouble adjusting.

And defined here :

The first stage is the honeymoon, which can last a few days or up to several months. At this stage, everything is new, exciting, and fascinating. The 'natives' are polite, gracious, and most welcoming. Another way of describing this stage is that of the tourist's experience. (...) Tourists generally return home before the honeymoon ends, whereas anthropologists, aid workers and others move beyond this to the second stage, in which one 'has seriously to cope with the real conditions of life' (ibid).

Many people tend to feel this similar Honeymoon stage of trying new things, from religion to hobbies.

Let's look at the brief descriptions of the next three stages from the first link:

Irritation - Culture Shock

After the honeymoon stage wears off the focus begins to shift to a negative view of the cultural differences. There is often a sense of helpless frustration. People often withdraw in this stage. This is when feelings of homesickness are most prevalent.

Adjustment – Perspective

Adjustment take s place gradually. You start to become comfortable as understanding of the language and culture increase. You are now more confident that you can manage life in your host country. You begin to see multiple perspectives and question your own assumptions about the world.

Adaptation - Feeling at home

Eventually, the host culture is no longer new and you begin to feel at home. You may prefer certain traits of the new culture over your home culture. You might even begin to adopt cultural behaviors. Depending on the length of your stay you may never reach this stage.

The second link also described these:

Not only do simple tasks, such as purchasing food or washing up, become complete fiascos, but the 'natives' do not seem concerned at all. In fact, they may seem unsympathetic or indifferent (ibid). A very common coping mechanism is aggression and frustration-a rejection of the environment that is causing discomfort (ibid:177). (...) If one stays, then the third stage starts as the visitor begins to learn the language and can negotiate daily life on his or her own. Difficulty still exists, but the visitor is able to handle it. The visitor even begins to help others who may be new to the situation. In the fourth stage, the visitor 'accepts the customs of the country as just another way of living' (ibid). Certainly, the visitor will not always understand what is occurring in social situations and may not notice nuances, but he or she has adjusted considerably. At this point, there are things that he or she will miss about the country when leaving.

The second and third stages are often like feeling like a fish out of water. It can be frustrating o even frightening when you no longer have a frame of reference or what you're doing, how you're supposed to do it. But that's the thing. While research and work are important, and definitely time you should dedicate to your new god(s), it is also a time of letting yourself just Exist. Especially when you may not have comparable experiences for what is "enough."

I feel like, after being on this website for 11 or 12 years, there's this weird pressure to grind "daily" worship like WoW or Genshin quests. You don't have to do this. Frankly, I do feel that part of this idea comes from a sort of Christianization for those who live in such areas (which is often many pagan converts) - there's this idea that you must constantly Prove Your Faith, Prove Yourself As Worthy, Suffering Is Sacrifice Is Faith.

Truly, not only do not all religions have this idea, but even historically people did not, every single day, undergo such grueling mindset, including variations of Christianity. Yes, some things are habitual, but cultures and religions that do have daily forms of worship or practice, the people in them are raised with that concept their entire lives. They were taught to do them for years until it Became habit. Since childhood. You, the convert, were not.

Such practices that do have historical or cultural "daily" necessities (usually prayers) will much, much more likely have actual step-by-step learning processes with conversion that will be hard to miss. However, we're talking more general paganism here, which usually does not have such conventions. But if you convert from this kind of practice and feel like there is a void you must fill - you can syncretically adopt your previous iterations of faith and apply them into your new one. Whether it remains throughout your paganism, or falls out of fashion, is individual experience.

Stop feeling guilty about not adhering to a grind mindset, first and foremost. Especially if you're coming from a Christo-Catholic background. You're allowed to be free from guilt.

That said, coming back to the honeymoon phase, it does wear off. Even if you think "I'm going to be excited about this every second of every minute" you won't. There will be at least a single moment where you won't, where you will just Exist as a human person doing whatever it is you habitually do on autopilot, and that's fine. You're allowed to Just Exist without constantly dedicating every second to a pantheon (or even magic path for those who are witches falling in the trap of grind mindset).

I feel like this idea of "switching around" has two reasons:

Genuine dissatisfaction that you are not at fault of

Chasing the high of experiencing something new

If you "switch around" a lot, it could be genuine disatisfaction. That is neither your nor the pantheon's fault. It's just not a good fit. And that's fine. You don't have to force yourself to belong and shouldn't force a deity into your life that doesn't quite work the way you want or need. It's a mutual understanding, a give and take. And if that's not compatible, then finding something new is not a bad thing.

Stop and think to yourself: Are you switching around because the honeymoon stage wore off and you want to keep chasing the high? Perhaps you're under-stimulated? Research more into the pantheon or deity you're trying to have connection with. That can usually aid and/or disperse the restlessness. There's much more out there historically, anthropologically, and we're constantly finding new things about ancient cultures and civilizations. Join communities about the pantheon or deity/ies. Engage with other people to keep your own interest. It's a commitment. All this can either lead to realizing it's genuine dissatisfaction, realizing other issues are at play, or can help you (re)connect and stick with it.

The fact is, the Honeymoon stage will wear off and that's the humanity in you. It will become basic habit. But that's not a bad thing. An occasional prayer is still an occasional prayer. Even some Christians only "Be Christian" on Sundays, or even less on just Easter and Christmas.

If you have an altar, maybe at the least you can dust it. The "connection" isn't going to be loud and in your body, mind, and soul(s) every hour of every day. And you don't have to force yourself into a schedule that doesn't feel right to you. That doesn't mean you're abandoned by gods, nor that you have abandoned gods, it means you're human and are given space.

With that out of the way, here is part of my initial answer to this ask back from 2017:

Accept that there may be times of quiet. You don’t need to be in constant communication at all times. Accept that there will be dry spells and quiet times and that you generally may always be re-welcomed by them.

If you truly want a basic frame of measurement for how "often" you should "contact" your deity/ies, think of your friends or family. How often do you text them, send them messages, call them, etc? What do those messages consist of? Saw a meme and sent it to your friend? Saw a sunset and sent it to your parent? You can do similar for your god(s).

Reblog that meme that made you think of Deity, that funny looking curio at the thrift store made you think of Deity so either get it or take a photo of it. But don't run yourself ragged or spiral into feeling like what you do isn't "enough" - it can become even antithetical to the joy of worship, especially when deities culturally are intended to be helpful, not hurtful, to the worshiper.

My mom got me a bunny! I named her Sherbet because she sort of reminds me of sherbet. I went through several names however. At first it was Bun-Bun and then Hop-Hop and then BeBe and then Poppy, and then I think I finally settled on Sherbet. I will let you know if I change my mind again. Isn't she cute though?

The study day went by quickly. I didn't need my full four hours, so I added in a supplement for Biology since we're on the evolution unit right now. My curriculum is mostly a creationist perspective, although it touches on evolution and natural selection, so I found this docuseries called Life on Our Planet which dives deeper into evolution. I don't need my parents permission to watch the docuseries since they give me a lot of freedom around things like that, but I still let them know I was going to. Apparently my dad has already seen it, and he thought I would enjoy it. That was a surprise to me that he had watched it. The first episode was suspenseful, but I am looking forward to watching more. I will have to build it into my study day somehow. I think it has 10 episodes, all a little under an hour long.

tried charting the heights of all the wild kratts characters for funsies :)

aviva: 167 cm/5’ 5.7”

koki: 160 cm/5’ 2.9”

chris: 173 cm/5’ 8.1”

martin: 180 cm/5’ 10.8”

jimmy: 175 cm/5’ 8.8”

donita: 177 cm/5’ 9.6”

this isn’t perfectly accurate because 1) i couldn’t find screencaps to use to compare every character, 2) sometimes there was a lot of variation in height differences between characters and chris/martin (i tried to use those two as references as much as possible because they have canon heights), and 3) mostly because i was just eyeballing everything

reference images i used + a few notes are under the cut if you’re curious!! (by “a few notes” i mean i basically accidentally wrote an entire essay btw)

i went ahead and put the bros in first since, again, they have canon/googleable heights, and could be used as references for all the other characters. i ended up tweaking these heights very slightly (putting martin as closer to 5’ 11”, basically) just to feel a little more accurate to the show’s height difference between them and other characters

next i did the rest of the crew!

the height difference between chris and jimmy was kinda hard to deduce. in some screenshots jimmy is a bit shorter than chris and in others he’s noticeably taller ?? i decided to take the average and put them at almost the same height with jimmy being very slightly taller

i think jimmy was being mean to me on purpose a little bit because i had similar issues between him and martin. sometimes he’d be quite a bit shorter and sometimes they’d be practically the same height. c’mon jimmy

figuring out koki and aviva’s height differences relative to the others wasn’t quite as hard, though aviva did have a bit of height variation (in the first image, she’s about the same height as chris, in the second she’s much shorter, and in the third she’s taller than chris would be in comparison to martin). thankfully i have precisely a billion and a half screenshots saved so finding ones to average out was an easy task. i decided it’d be best to keep aviva noticeably shorter than chris by a couple of inches, but to also not have their height difference be quite as significant as in some of these images

koki’s relative height seemed to stay the most constant out of everyone, with only very slight variations (her being closer to aviva’s height sometimes, but usually she’s shorter) (in case anyone is confused! i’m measuring her from the top of her head, not hair, so about where her headband is)

once i felt like the crew was all accurate, i moved to the villains. i started with zach because i have more pictures of him, both with the crew and other villains, so he’s the best reference)

it was a little hard to judge his height in comparison to chris. they’re definitely close but i for some reason couldn’t find good reference images to get a more exact estimate. in both of these at least one of them is slightly leaning

i tried to avoid using any references with the creature powersuits activated, since those can mess with height (or at least my perception of their height) a bit. i did break my own rule here, though, just to see how tall zach was in comparison to martin. i figured he was tall enough for me to viably place him as very slightly taller than chris, but still at nearly the same height

(i’m pretty sure i looked at a second, even better pic i had of zach and martin as well but i lost it)

from there it was decently easy to estimate donita and gourmand’s heights with zach as a reference. i had the same height variation issue with donita as i’d had before, but when i found that fifth image while looking for dabio height references, i was able to find her height much more easily, plus verify my placements of zach and gourmand, plus get a good estimate on dabio.

(i also looked at more dabio references, some with donita and some with each of the bros, but i can’t find those either. oops) (trust me when i say him being 6’ 7” probably isn’t inaccurate, though) (the dude he’s based on, fabio, is 6’ 3”, so i was originally going to guesstimate him at around that height, but he looks WAY too tall for even 6’ 3”)

i have VERY few images of paisley and rex, much less any that make usable height references, but i did manage to pick out a couple that were helpful. paisley seems to be shoulder height-ish on gourmand who i placed at 5’ 0”. i can also see that donita’s elbow is also around shoulder height of gourmand, giving me two points of reference

paisley is also at approximately elbow height of rex, meaning that rex and donita are similar in height

managed to find this image as a somewhat more helpful point of reference. yeah it’d be more helpful if rex and paisley were touching the ground, and if martin wasn’t in a cps (because, again, trying to avoid that for the sake of accuracy). beggars can’t be choosers, though, and the pixelization of this image is screaming beggar.

anyway! if i squint a bit and hold my fingers up to my screen, i can tell that paisley is at maybe just under belly button/elbow height of martin. rex looks to be a little shorter than martin, meaning my estimate of him being a similar height to donita is of some accuracy. i made him one centimeter shorter because he looks to be a little shorter in comparison to martin than donita would be? idk

i would’ve liked to search for better reference pics for paisley and rex just to make sure i’ve got their heights down, but i’m tired and have also hit the image limit for this post, so i’m just gonna stop there

kakashi’s mom was part of the Inuzuka clan. he got his dog-centered jutsus from her side of the family, along with his keen sense of smell.

he would sometimes be tasked with tending to an infant/toddler Naruto, seeing as he was the 4th hokage’s student and watched over kushina while she was pregnant. Naruto remembers kakashi’s anbu mask, but doesn’t realize it was him. Kakashi never tells him (I also hc that this is why, in ep 177 of shippuden, little naruto is drawn to the mask at the shop that resembles kakashi’s anbu mask)

being team 7′s sensei pulled kakashi out of suicidality. the kids gave him a new reason to look for hope and to get up in the morning. he found that he wanted to take care of them, and to do that, he had to take care of himself

kakashi bears a grudge against minato for what happened to his team, but he’d never say so out loud

he totally babysits for team 7 once they’re adults and have their own kids. he’s that uncle that’s like uwu baby goes in the puppy onesie for nap time, and simultaneously the uncle that says how old are babies before they throw kunai

it takes kakashi quite a long time to get close to people (look at how long it took for him and gai to develop a healthy friendship). However, kakashi is handsome, and he attracts a lot of attention from people. part of the reason he wears his mask is to minimize unwanted romantic/sexual advances, which make him uncomfortable bc of his fear of intimacy

when gai is away/out of commission, kakashi keeps an eye on his team, and vice-versa. He gets along best with tenten because she reminds him of sakura (and she’s the easiest to talk to). Neji is manageable bc he and sasuke have the same brand of emo backstory and clan lineage rage. Lee has so much energy, kakashi worries about keeping up, but Lee is like a little gai, so he’s secretly super endeared

because his father committed suicide and kakashi himself has dealt with suicidal ideation, he is very sensitive to signs people might be thinking of ending their lives. He keeps a close eye on any friends he thinks might be having trouble or are going through a rough patch. this is sometimes accurate and sometimes irrational

having white hair is a trait of the Hatake clan

another mask headcanon (bc I’m of the opinion that he wears it for a number of reasons). seeing as kakashi has been less apt to take of his mask in front of others as he’s gotten older, I think it’s likely that kakashi’s shyness about his face is a subconscious manifestation of guilt around what he’s done and failed to do as a shinobi. He has imposter syndrome and feels he doesn’t deserve his fame and praise as the copy ninja bc of what happened to his team as well as what he did in the anbu

BACKSTORY

Born to a zealous cult leader and notorious international arms dealer, Zoey knew nothing more than hardships and crime. Her father only wanted a first born son to live up to his expectations and inherit his empire. Sadly for him, Zoey ended up being born first in a set of triplets, and hence forth swore to make her life a living hell for her. She had been set up for failure right from the start, living up to her father’s impossible expectations, enduring beatings and other punishments from him. Her mother would shield her three children from their father’s unpredictable wrath and fought with him, stood up to him and swore she would leave him and never let him see the triplets again.

At age 7, that was the last time Zoey would ever see her mother. No one would tell her or her siblings what happened to her or why she left without them, causing deep heartbreak in Zoey’s heart. However, that was also the same day she vowed to step up in her mother’s place and pick up where she left off. Her father’s cult only grew as did his underground arms dealership. His global connections allowed him to have his children be trained to be his own soldiers in his little cult army. Their teachers also set higher expectations on the triplets and some would take extreme measures to keep them in line, but Zoey would get the worst of it. Despite the cruel and unusual punishments, Zoey still tried to keep her siblings safe and did everything she could to make them smile.

She ended up proving to have above average intelligence than her father expected from her. Her specialties included espionage, sabotage, stealth, and hand-to-hand combat. At 14 after her and her siblings returned from a personal mission of her father’s in Ethiopia as child soldiers, the M16, SAS, FBI, and CIA had surrounded her father’s compound after they finally received a distress call coming from within. Her father suspected it was Zoey and so he used her as leverage to make any further threats, not wanting to be taken into custody. What none of them knew was that Rozric had planted bombs within the compounds’ walls in case he was to be arrested and captured.

As a last ditch effort, Rozric blew up the building and allowed it to collapse, hoping the rubble would kill everyone in the compound, Zoey and her siblings included. By some miracle, Zoey, Gavril, and Zayne were still alive and the two younger siblings were taken to safety, but medics and SAS soldiers had to get a huge concrete wall off of Zoey’s right arm. Unfortunately, they had to amputate her whole arm in order to get her out, and could not save her arm. CIA and M16 eventually found Rozric still alive and captured him, ending his criminal empire and forcing him into custody at the Broadmoore Hospital as he continues his ongoing trial for his crimes.

Once Zoey had recovered and was given a prosthetic arm, she and her siblings did their best to live a relatively normal life with their uncle, but Zoey was always getting into fights she wasn’t involved in and even bullied by the kids during secondary school. By 17, she recalled the day she was rescued by the SAS members and thought about joining the military as an escape from her troubled past, and possibly a way to give closure to her father’s criminal empire for good. She waited until her 18th birthday and both her and her siblings set out to join their respective branches.

Despite being an amputee prior to joining the Royal Army, Zoey’s skills and speed overpowered her disability and was given the name “Doe”. While her skills and abilities had her climb up to the top of the SAS, her behavior problems have gotten her into trouble plenty of times and threaten to be written up if she didn’t improve on them. It wasn’t until she was personally approached by Captain John Price himself that she was recruited into Task Force 141 and assigned a mission in Las Almas would Zoey allow herself to let loose and break the mask she kept up.

At times he finds himself judging others though he has mostly contained his judging in his mind. And like his brother, he's spoiled and wants the best for himself. Adrian was raised in a wealthy household where all of his needs were met and nothing was too expensive. Though because of this, he became spoiled and wouldn't accept anything but the best. His life seemed to be perfect. He had a good relationship with his entire family and many friends at school. But this perfect life was ruined when he was 9 the day his dad died. He would rarely smile and he spent most of his time laying around doing nothing

His father's death affected his school life. Like his brother, he became bitter and would snap at others which made others wary of him. When his mother remarried and he gained not only a stepfather but a stepbrother, he couldn't help but resent them. He joined his twin in ignoring his stepfather and being rude to his stepbrother. At school, he'd be grumpy and rude to others which would drive them away. But throughout this entire time, he stuck by his twin brother. He did everything with him because they were all each other had at school. He followed what his brother did because he thought that was a good way to support him through this tough time

Upon entering NRC, he was placed in Pomefiore. He hoped his brother would also be in Pomefiore, but after seeing him be placed in Scarabia, he knew Damien was angry

He followed his brother in continuing to be a bully, even though he knew it was wrong. He intended to do whatever his brother did until he had a moment of realization that he didn't have to stay this way and that he can do what he wants while still being there for his brother. He vowed from that day on to become better for himself

During the winter break in his second year, he stopped bullying others completely and made an effort to have a good relationship with his stepfather and stepbrother. He is still spoiled and at times he can be a bit rude, but he is making an effort to be a better version of himself

Notable Relationships

Damien Marwood: Adrian's relationship with his twin brother is strained. They care for each other and Adrian will always have Damien's back but Adrian can't help but feel guilty. He knows how much Damien wants what he has, but he also knows Damien needs to make changes himself, he can't do it for him. Though he also holds a small grudge against Damien because it was following him that caused Adrian to become a bully

Eden Glazier: Though Adrian hated Eden at first, he learned to let things go. When they got on friendly terms, they realized they were alike in many ways. To make up for lost time, Adrian attempts to spend as much time with Eden on breaks as possible. Adrian provides Eden with updates on how he and Damien are doing during school. Eden gave Adrian the courage to ask Trey out. Eden also trusts Adrian a lot and is the first one he calls when something bad happens that he doesn't to tell others at his school about

Trey Clover: Adrian and Trey met in their first year. Trey was kind to Adrian even though he was mean to everyone, including him. Adrian warmed up to Trey as he helped him with his alchemy work. Over time, they started to crush on each other, but neither one dares to say something to the other even though it's very obvious they have crushes on each other. Trey is also the reason why he stopped bullying others and why he wants to better himself

Vil Schoenheit: Adrian looks up to Vil, not only because he's his Housewarden and a famous actor, but because he's graceful and strong in many ways. He goes to Vil for help being more graceful and less clumsy. Though his progress was slow at first, Vil saw how much potential he had and so he continued to help him. Adrian takes any and all advice VIll gives him

Rook Hunt: Because of how weird Rook was, Adrian didn't even bother talking to him until their second year. When he actually started talking to Rook, they found out they had things in common. They often talk about Vil and how great he is, RSA boys (specifically Niege), and beauty as a whole. Though Adrian still finds Rook and his behavior weird, he considers him a good friend

Epel Felmier: Adrian treats Epel like a little brother. He tries to look out for him so he doesn't do something Vil doesn't like. He thinks if he prevents him from doing something Vil doesn't approve of, it'll save him from the scolding. At first, Epel doesn't like this, but over time he comes to appreciate him looking out for him and sees him as an older brother figure

Jade Leech: Adrian often goes to Jade to talk to him and to get advice on how to be a better twin brother. Jade has provided good advice, but there was always a price to pay for that advice. Though Adrian hates that system, Jade was able to help him realize that to be a better twin he has to accept the way his brother is and to not force change onto him

Cater Diamond: Cater and Adrian have always had a mini rivalry of sorts. They both see each other as competition for Trey's time and attention. But at the same time, they're also jealous of each other. Cater is jealous because he thinks Adrian would be a better boyfriend since he's rich. And Adrian is jealous that Cater is close to Trey in a way he feels himself and Trey aren't. This rivalry then extended to something more than just Trey's attention, they started competing in smaller levels like with quiz scores and such. Eventually, they let their rivalry go

Mozus Trein: Trein is Adrian's uncle. Adrian views Trein as a bit of a father figure while he's at NRC. During class, Trein treats Adrian as he does any other student and makes sure not to place any favoritism toward him or his brother. Not many students know Trein and Adrian are related and they like to keep it that way. And whenever Adrian needs help, academic or personal, he turns to Trein

Trivia

Adrian wears a brooch made with a heart-cut spinel gem. It was his father's that was passed down to him when he died

Adrian tends to fall in love easily and forms crushes on a lot of people before the feelings die out after a week or so

He tends to sneak in cream bread from Mr. S's Mystery Shop into Pomefiore dorm. He'll occasionally get caught by Vil

He once formed a contract with Azul but was able to meet the conditions he set so he didn't have to face any of the consequences

He first discovered his UM when he got into a fight with Damien during their first year. Adrian grabbed him by the shoulders and screamed about how he wanted to know what he wanted. That then activated his UM

Sailors of a galleon

A crew did not only consist of the countrymen of the respective nation, but was a mixed troop. There were different languages, eating habits, nationalities and religions. And yet people found each other and were able to cope with or even learn the different tasks on board.

The Sailors were divided into three groups, the Sailor, the Apprentice and the Ship's Boy. The Common Sailor was an experienced Sailor and was called Seaman in England and Marinero in Spain. The category able did not yet exist here, this only came about during the Napoleonic era. These men already had some years of experience and were able to control the sails by ropes, if necessary shortening them by removing the bonnets. Reef points were not used until footropes appeared. They could steer the ship with the whipstaff, read the compass and plot the course on a chart, and operated the guns if necessary, the job was otherwise taken over by the gunners.

The apprentice, called grumetes in Spain, were young men between 16-19 years old who were still learning the craft of a seamen. The concept of the landlubber did not yet exist here; anyone, no matter how little experience at sea, was considered an apprentice. Their main tasks were handling the sails, manning the capstan or windlass. Raising or lowering the anchor and pulling the ropes of the guns. They were subordinate to the Seamen and learned the craft from them until they were declared Seamen after three years at sea. The last group were the ship's boys aged 8-14 (in England they were called pages, in Spain pajes). They served the officers, cleaned the cabins, mopped the decks and set the mess tables. They sang hymns to entertain the crew and did the watch with them, as they were in charge of the hourglass. When they were old enough, their future path was decided. If they came from a noble household, they became officers; if they did not, they became apprentices and later seamen.

A crew usually consisted of 90% of a good mix of seamen and apprentices. the ship's boys took over the remaining 10%. Of course, there were also special posts and duties that went with them. And so, as later, there was also the bosun. But here he was responsible for the sails, the placement of the crew, the cargo, the distribution of clothing and the paperwork on board. Later, these tasks were distributed among several posts, such as the Master (the Master already existed, only he had other tasks), the Clerk, the Purser and so on. There was also the carpenter and the caulker. The steward (despensero in Spanish) was responsible for the catering. He supervised the rations, the cooking, the food on board and kept an eye on the wine and the water. Later it was divided between the cook and the purser. The barber-surgeon was responsible for health. But not only for health, but also for personal hygiene. This meant that hair and limbs were cut in equal measure. The only problem was that these men were not particularly trained surgeons and learned their trade through experience at sea.

Unlike the soldiers, however, the sailors only signed on for one trip and were released afterwards. So they had to reapply each time and hope to be accepted.

A small warship had a crew of 30-60 men. Even the big ones had a rather small crew, so a crew of 500 only made up 177 of the Sailors, the rest were Gunners and Soldiers.
