Am glad to see that Levan's receiving the "Yuusona treatment" because of the various ways that twst artists draws him lolol

• • • Headcanon 2.

Malenoa is the strongest of the trio. Because she is a royalty, she is much more knowledgeable about magic— particularly if its related to dragons. Naturally, she became kind of like a magical tutor to both Levan and Lilia when they were children.

i really like the thought of eastern dragons in TWST🥰 its a nice foreshadow that Levan is a Long bcs thats Malleus' Halloween costume✨

(if its really like that,,,, im going to cry bcs that means Malleus dressed up like his papa who he never knew 💔😭)

(also I'm praying with all my heart he's not some plot twist jerk in game like King Stefan from Maleficent 1 😭)

I think dragons are rare on TWST not only because they're really particular on their mates but also because raising one is extremely high maintainance.

Its 1: life threatening to the caretaker, 2: needs constant attention and love, 3: once it grows up, you even need to withstand its tantrums and emotions (who are btw magically powered) 😭💥

That's why I think ??? there's limited knowledge about mediating their power (so they just get stuck in this cycle of being the strongest but that very strength can bring disaster bcs its uncontrollable)

Thus, I thought of Malenoa being Levan's friend who teaches him about controlling his draconic powers because Levan doesn't really want to accidentally harm others because of his uncontrollable strength--✨✨✨

I like to think its because of Levan's pacifist nature that Land of Briar chose to have war treatiest first instead of just crushing the Silver Owls through Malenoa's military strength. He's aware that killing off humans would just make them more hostile to faes in general, and I don't think both Malenoa and Levan wants Malleus to grow up in war once he hatches-

Levan's fire is purple because I remember getting surprised when Overblot Malleus used that on his attack despite Land of Briar/Malenoa (?) being "mainly green colored" all this time...

So, I think that's one magic he got from his father??? because most of his features already derives from Malenoa (horns, tail, magic (i think his green fire is from Malenoa), straight hair, etc)

The purple fire might've originate from Malleus' mastery of void magic (I hc their dorm spells' element are their forte magic and Dorm Malleus is double void card) but we've never seen void magic used like a fire... its usually like an energy beam right? I think it was so exciting when he attacked like that💜👆‼️✨ (I literally squealed lol its so pretty?? but I know I'll die from that lol)

I love the thought that Lilia is the "mom friend"/"sensible friend" of this trio... 😂 because he says hes the one constantly working for these couple... mostly to deal with their antics lol

plus Lilia is literally the sole person working for Levan and Malenoa to meet together right now---

since Levan's missing and Malenoa can’t really leave the castle since she’s guarding unhatched Malleus--- and its just a bad move to send the best queen on the frontlines when they can just send Lilia yk 😆

i hope we get more dragon egg lore and also specifically egg malleus reveal🙌🙌 like how do THEY take care of a dragon egg anyway.... do they put it on cradles as well like human babies??? or their parents will hold them since they require vast amount of love-

How did MC get involved in the playful land event? Is it the typical I just wanna tag along and because grim wants to I'll go?

The event starts off with Yuu and Grim walking back to NRC from a basketball game they were watching (cheering for the NRC team, of course)! However, they lost to RSA again so everyone's slightly bummed. It's in town that they bump into Ferro, who then offers them the tickets. It's predominantly Grim that wants to go (like, he expresses it very overtly), though Yuu does have dialogue options to indicate excitement for or a desire to visit the amusement park themselves. Later on, Yuu and Grim sneak out of school to tag along with the boys.

"We're going because Grim wants to go and/or because Crowley told us to act as support" is the default excuse to bring Yuu along and into events. It's probably also going to be another case where Yuu and Grim end up not doing much to contribute to the event's overall plot and resolution 😅 just like how they ended up helping the City of Flowers' citizens (and therefore Out Of The Picture) rather than helping the SSR trio of Glorious Masquerade climb the bell tower and confront Rollo.

The only time I didn't like Yugo 👆

I REALLY wanted them to have a talk about this in season 4. I guess Ankama couldn't fit it in or didn't think it was important.

This occurs after he kisses her and calls it a mistake which hurts her feelings. As she is upset, Yugo tries to talk about it but she gives him a hard time (she does act like a butt). They don’t talk about it but instead sit together in silence. After a while, they kind of have a nonverbal “we’re good” moment.

How do we know this? We see that she is playful with him and still values what he thinks in this moment.

You're not playful with someone you're mad at. I think she thought about it and understood his dilemma and set it aside for the time being. She loves him and she can’t stay mad at him not now at least. After this playful interaction—HE STILL SAID THAT to Ruel-sipho)!! It’s fair that he’s still a little mad but damn.

Many audiences agreed with Yugo that Amalia was being obnoxious but to me that little playful scene defused their little quarrel. They were good at least from her perspective. From his reaction to her little playfulness it seemed like he agreed…but I guess not.

For the audience agreeing with Yugo…I blame misogyny tbh. It’s easy to hate female characters for the tiniest things. We see it time and time again.

I too agree that she was being bratty when he wanted to talk about it. But…i think she needed a little more time to collect herself. When they got that time to just sit in it we get that playful interaction.

Amalia literally left the side of her sick dying father to help him. He didn’t see her pain?

Then when she comes back (in s4) her father is dead. Missing her opportunity to say goodbye. At least they showed he felt guilty about that.

So then after all of this, when did he realize it was “romantic love.” Or did he always know but try to lie to himself to not give himself hope? I need answers because what they gave is not enough.

But yeah, that was the only time I didn’t like Yugo.

If Wakfu had the proper funding, I wonder if they would have spent a little more time on the interpersonal dynamics. We see time and time that they have a good nonverbal communication dynamic.

This is my interpretation. My perspective of that situation. If your interpretation is different that’s fine. I would love to ask one of the writers about this. Imma try to find one.

I keep comparing it to shows like Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Avatar, and The Owl House who make time to show their characters have these tough talks. But those shows had the funding to do it. Wakfu did not. They had to use what they had to focus on the most important plot points and sum up the others.

Either way, the animated series is over. And they're married now…so that’s a win. I still wish we got more tough-talk scenes though. (But it's an action show with a male target audience so of course)

Yeah, now I realize that Peggy embodies "white feminism". Which I never liked any way because I'm an Eastern woman, and I've watched a lot of Eastern media that has strong ladies that are VERY well written compared to how white Western women are written. It's even worse than white feminism with Peggy because white feminism implies she at least sticks up for other white women, but instead Peggy really only cares about herself?

You've got her, for example, telling a male colleague not to speak up for women (plural) getting recognition in the workplace because she (upper class white woman, singular) knows her value, and hers is the only opinion that matters.

You've got men (Steve and Edwin Jarvis) realising that, because of her ego, the only way to make her go along with a plan is to kiss her ass / make her think it was her own idea.

In her show, you've got her not befriending a whole floor full of female (white) blue-collar agents in favour of putting civilian (white, blue-collar) women's lives in danger, unncessarily and repeatedly, because she wants someone to serve her. (Her only female friends are servants or villains. And they never address it in-show, but the real reason non-white women don't appear in AC is because their mere existence would reveal Peggy's whining about being discriminated against as deluded.)

In What If... they've got her stealing the plots and agency of other (white) female characters, (whose only job is now to kiss her ass and be sidekicks in what was previously their own story), as well as her relegating WOC to the role of her sidekick, etc. in stories there was no reason for her, specifically to be in.

(Plus there's the tradwife-ism of her entire existence centering on a man and that man's interest in her and her getting that man at the expense of all his other relationships. Take Captain America away and she has no significance at all.)

After What If...?, she now fully embodies the Mary Sue self-insert of a white woman who believes the universe should revolve around her.

And as proof I present a piece of foreshadowing that can be played of as a „ha-ha moment“ but actually hinted at one of the plot points the writers wanted to use if the series hadn’t been paused.

This being that in the episode „The ancient art of ninja hide and seek“ when Splinter is disguising himself to look like another turtle sibling and none of them question it. They are all kind of like „OF COURSE we are more than four siblings. There is nothing suspicious about us being more than just four.“

The thing is that they aren’t wrong. They HAVE more siblings, those being their two lost sisters. So when Splinter dressed up as an additional sibling it was foreshadowing that there are more turtles than just the brothers

What is something that you want be canon/have a more prominent characteristic in Obey Me in the main storyline?

I’ll go first (starting with the least controversial)

Leviathan’s ex-role as grand admiral of hell’s navy

This seems to be a key point in Levi’s characteristics and overall nature, which actually explains a lot of where he’s coming from, other than “oh he’s envy so obviously he’s envious 🙄🙄🙄🤓🤓👆”…I mean that is true, buuuut I mean the more personal aspects of him characters. Yes he is a ball of envy but he specifically chooses to be an otaku, or more specifically a gamer for that matter. A casual player who couldn’t have been that invested in the game would just say “oh uh because the game needed a quirky shut in”, which is may be partially true but also does deny the fact that he used to be, and still is, a master strategist due to his role in the Celestial War. Leviathan is smart, that I cannot deny. He may not be book smart like Satan but he is smart, and I was this intelligence of his was more explored as a plot point or at least given more importance in the story rather than a throw away in a chat.

I mean cmon be fr rn. Being Grand Admiral FROM MOTHERFUCKING HELL is a big deal no matter how you put it, former or otherwise. It’s just a bit of a waste for this to be so overlooked because I don’t know, the developers want him to play into his uwu shy boy persona all the more.

No cuz imagine Beyoncé becoming a barista in the future and from that point on nothing about her being literal Beyoncé is even given a lick of recognition like “May I take your order Ma’am” “HOLY SH-“ “um chill anyways so”

Another thing it explains is his certain envy towards his brothers and other people for that matter. Yes the game could’ve easily gone through the “oh yeah he’s envy soo 🤓🤓🤓” and honestly it sorta did but it also could’ve have gone in the opposite direction and explained that oh maybe the root of his jealously stemmed from his importance in the war—and now that that has been stripped of him, he doesn’t know what to do with himself, he thinks of himself as worthless now that he can’t move on from his ptsd.

This specific scenario was explained upon in the first few chapters of Nightbringer where he was jealous his brothers were able to move on with their lives while he lived in a cesspool of his owl self-pity, and I do applaud the game for that. (honestly I’m just picky that they didn’t go through the admiral route because HE COULDVE BEEN SO FRIGGIN HOT IN HIS OUTFIT I SWEAR—)

Ahem.

Lastly, I think this could’ve also explained (at least slightly) the extent of his power as the Leviathan. I mean he is a sin, he is a powerful demon from Hell, yet like all of them we don’t get to see the extent of his power, or at least a glimpse into what he can do (HE IS A DEMON AFTER ALL AND THE THIRD RANKED BROTHER IN TERMS OF STRENGTH, CMON BRO) :)
