perv!roomie!satoru who can hear you and your shitty boyfriend having sex through the thin walls, and he loves loves lovessss that he can hear your cute little whimpers and moans, wishing it was his name you were saying, but he notices that he has never ever heard your moans do that familiar raise in pitch...and he notices once you both get quiet after a gross sounding groan from the man you call your partner, the guy leaves...
and one day satoru finally comes in to speak to you, but he sees you in the bed wearing his fucking shirt with your fingers between your legs and lil tears in your eyes. he wants to speak but he cant help but realize you fucked your boyfriend wearing his fucking shirt and he's excusing himself, not wanting you to see the way he starts to get hard in his sweats

The worst part of normalized surveillance is the normalization.
It's the thousands of followers who react to your secretly taken videos of noble good deeds with encouragement. It's them feeling cheered up, day made, hearts filled with warmth by your brazen voyeurism.
It's scrolling past a Tumblr post of a reddit post of a Twitter screenshot of a father and daughter sharing an intimate, family moment, oblivious to the tweeter taking a photo of them.
It's minding your business at the grocery store, hearing a weird noise, and realizing some teens are filming a tiktok dance and either did not notice or did not care that you are in the shot.
It's walking home with a mask on because every single condo and floor apartment in your neighborhood has Ring and you don't know what that means for you yet.
It's thinking about talking to a PR person just in case your recurring nightmare of your mental breakdown in the parking lot suddenly going viral comes true, hoping against hope a professional knows the magic set of words that will mitigate the harassment, stop you from losing your job.
It's that reddit post of the Sikh woman who found her and her mustache on the frontpage, forced to turn public humiliation into a teaching moment. It's some jackass redditor posting a couples photo, ostensibly to mock that his fly was down yet 70% of the comments target his girlfriend's appearance. It's seeing a top reddit pic with a headline demonizing a person in it months after you saw this same pic taken down after mods discovered op was lying. It's a lot of reddit.
It's wondering how many times your face has been posted online and if it was in a positive context at least.
It's that this is all normal, that so many of these things feel neutral to individuals, not a risk they're taking on behalf of a stranger.

Why doesn't the justice league know about Amity Park?
Okay so it's been a bit sonce I watched the show but one of the things in DpxDC is the anti-ecto acts, which I love, but correct me if I'm wrong, I THINK ??? they only show up in reality trip? SO:
What if Danny, when using the gauntlet to undo everything, also got rid of the Anti-Ecto acts? but this is babys first time editing reality so he uh
Fucks Up A Lil'.
As a result when Danny used the reality gauntlet to wipe the AEA from existence he accidentally wiped Amity Park from perception.
A big 'nothing matters over here' jedi mind trick, and now no ones looking at Amity.
So, the Justice League actually WERE looking into and monitoring the situation in Amity, but when the perception filter closed them off, all of that suddenly went ignored.
This is noticed when someone (Alfred, Dick, Tim, literally anyone) realises theres just. A BIG dusty pile of case files semi abandoned somewhere in the cave when going through a (time period)ly cave cleaning.
They put it down because it's Not Important.
They come back to finish the cleaning the next day and do the exact same thing, but there's nothing to actually distract them this time and it pings as weird. Because why would case files be not important? They are by definition important, because only things flagged as important go into case files.
They try to get someone else to read it, because as long as they don't read the information in the file, they don't put it down.
That person goes to read it, gets a line in and then says something like 'that isn't important' and goes to leave. Person A pushes it and person B ALSO catches on.
Que the Batfam trying to figure out hey, what the fuck actually?
Meanwhile, how is Amity fairing? Canon compliant everything's going alright? Or have knock on effects to No One Look Here started to show?

one thing in particular I hate more than your ordinary run of the mill historically inaccurate costuming in movies (and find far more unsympathetic tbh) is when the leads are dressed to appeal to modern fashions and beauty standards but the the comedic or villainous characters are styled in period accurate clothing to make them look bad or silly by the contrast. like oh okay so we Could have done period clothing. the understanding was there. And Yet.

there's something about butches reclaiming protectiveness and chivalry from an imposed "caring, nurturing" character associated and often forced upon women. something about how while straight men often try to present as careless as possible, masculinity and care are not only not conflicting in the butch identity, but inherent to it. there's something there.

I think respecting trans people comes with a territory of like... just because many people will pass as cis doesn't mean that it's a great idea to use their passing as a way of legitimizing how absurd transphobia is
Transphobia isn't absurd because I "look like a [cis] man," it's because transphobia is fucking ridiculous. It would be ridiculous whether or not I passed or whether I look like a "conventional man." I use myself as an example, but ultimately, passing or appearing normative should never play into whether or not transphobia is bad.

And even if I can't be the one
Maybe I could at least help make way for him
Until the day that he comes?
