𝑨𝒚𝒂𝒕𝒐

He notices the first time you do this. He was about to leave for a work trip when you decided to play this prank on him. "I love you, darling" He said kissing you goodbye and you just smiled at him "Bye, Ayato" you said happily. "Dear, I said I love you." He said as you went back to what you were doing. "I heard you" you said happily working. He gave you a confused look "Can you say it back please?" he said coming up behind you. He hugged you from behind and rested his chin on your shoulder. He kissed your cheek and looked into your eyes. You rolled your eyes and sighed; He had figured out what you were doing. "I love you too Ayato" you said smiling at him.

𝑨𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒅𝒐

You came to visit Albedo at dragonspine and you had stayed a few hours, but you had to go back to the city since it was going to get dark soon. "Be safe y/n, I love you" he said, his nose buried in his work. "Bye Albedo" you said as you kissed him on the cheek and left. He didn't think about it till later that night when he was thinking about you. He realized you hadn't said "I love you" back.

You came back to visit him the next morning and when you got there, he greeted you with a hug and a kiss. "I love you y/n" he said. You smiled and sat down on the couch in his office. He frowned and looked at you. "Are you upset with me?" he said sitting down next to you. You shook your head "Why would I be mad at you?" you said. "You haven't said I love you back" he said giving you a confused look. You felt terrible and you couldn't keep it up anymore and you admitted to pranking him. He sighed and kissed your cheek "You're strange y/n" he said before getting back up and going back to work.

𝑽𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊

You and Venti were having a relaxing evening at home when you decided to mess with him a little bit. You both were cuddling when he kissed the top of your head "I love you" he whispered as he rested his cheek on the top of your head. You just sighed and nuzzled into the pillow.

Venti closed his eyes and expected to hear a response but after a few seconds of not hearing a response he opened one eye and looked down at you "Y/n I said I love you" he said. "I heard you, Venti" you responded trying not to laugh or break character. "Can you say it back please" He said. You just nuzzled into the pillow trying to keep a straight face.

He sighed and rolled over and started pouting "hmph!" he said crossing his arms. You couldn't hold your laugh anymore and when you started laughing, he rolled back over "What's so funny!?" he said in a frustrated tone. You explained to him that you were just messing with him, and he rolled his eyes "Yeah i knew you were joking!!" he said rolling his eyes as he wrapped his arms around you again.

𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈

He's so busy running errands for people all the time it honestly takes him a day or two before he notices. He was thinking about you on his walk home one night and he realized the last few times he had said "I love you" you hadn't said it back. When he got home, he went upstairs where you were working on something.

"Hi y/n, I'm home!" he said running upstairs and sitting down next to you. You turned to him and smiled "Welcome home" you said as you kissed him on the cheek. "I love you y/n" he said as he wrapped his arm around you. You felt bad for not saying it back especially since had just gotten home but you wanted to see how long it would take for him to notice.

You just kept working. He frowned and pulled you closer to him "Did you hear me?" he asked. You nodded "Yes, I heard you" you said as you kept writing. You couldn't look him in the eyes because you knew that you'd feel too bad, and you'd cave. "Do you not love me back?" He asked worriedly. You looked up from your papers and shook your head "Nonono, Gaming I was just messing with you!" you said "Messing with me?" he said giving you a confused look. You explained that you were just joking, and he laughed and kissed your cheek. "Okay, you got me" he said gently.

𝑨𝒍𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒎

He figured it out pretty quickly. He had to go on a commission early that morning and before he left, he went to go say goodbye to you. "I'll be back soon, I love you." You nodded and looked at him "Okay, be safe" you said as you smiled at him. He turned around and looked at you "I said I love you y/n" he repeated. He could see you breaking character a little bit and trying not to laugh. He just smiled and kissed the top of your head "I'll be home soon" he said before ruffling your hair and walking out the door.

PAIRING: tartaglia, xiao, venti, kaeya, diluc, zhongli x reader

SYNOPSIS: when is his embrace the most memorable?

CONTENTS: cursing. indirect mentions of death in xiao and zhongli's parts.

childe spins you around in his arms the second he returns home from another one of his missions. you two collapse in the snow, laughing like children and smiling so hard your faces hurt. being in his arms again feels like home — for both of you.

"haven't seen you in a while, hm? c'mon, let's go grab a drink while you tell me all about what's happened while i was gone, yeah?"

xiao pulls you close in the middle of the night when his mind starts to replay every battle he's ever been through, every friend he's lost, and every time he thought it was over for him. his arms find their way around you because he wants to know that you're still there – to ensure you won't slip through his fingers, just like everyone else did.

"just making sure you're stil— ah, i mean, keeping you safe. go back to sleep. oh, me? i don't need that much sleep. don't worry about me."

venti wraps his arms around you whenever he gets the chance. it's usually for comfort or out of laziness — primarily the latter. sometimes he'd just plop down next to you in the tavern and wrap his arms around your shoulders and lay there, drunkenly mumbling something you can't make out until you finally agree to take him home.

"huh, why is everything so blurry?! i can't— don't let me go, or i'll fall! and if i fall then i- huh? you won't let me fall . . . ? good!"

kaeya wraps his arms around your waist when he has a point to prove, whether it's to you or to the world. if he's trying to make a point to someone else, boom, your pretty face is in between his arms as visual credibility. and god forbid that he's trying to make a point to you, because he'll have no problem trapping you in his arms for as long as it takes to get you to agree with him on whatever the matter is.

"tch, is someone getting distracted? eyes up here, babe. look me in the eye while i tell you why i'm right about this."

diluc hugs you long and hard after a shitty day. he probably has a terrible headache and muscles in desperate need of a massage, but your hand trailing down his back makes everything a little more bearable.

"fuck, my head is killing me. help your boyfriend out and give him a drink or two, yeah? or a massage. actually, i'd prefer that, love. you're the best."

zhongli holds you in his arms when you're about to leave. maybe it's to go to work, maybe you need groceries, and maybe you even just want to step outside. he always wants to make sure that you leave with a good memory of him — having lived for thousands of years, he knows all too well how unpredictable life is. he never wants to have the regret of seeing you for the last time without a smile on your face.

"bye, darling. i'll see you soon, stay safe... yes, i know i say the same thing every time you leave. why shouldn't i?"

Lipstick # 4 💄

Imagine your genshin S/O making you try on lipsticks of different colors and shades and then making you kiss them on their face to see if it suits them too.

Kazuha (For my bestie who is currently getting ready for their thesis defense):

Sadly for him, you don't like wearing lipsticks. Meaning, you don't have any on hand that he can test with. And he's not about to be wasteful by buying so many just to be not used again.

Fortunately, with the help of a friend who somehow got 20 spare lipsticks that were only used once by his own partner, he was determined to do this with you.

But first, he got to find a way to convince you.

Your Kazuha is drunk.

You looked at Venti blankly as he handed your boyfriend to you with a sheepish chuckle. Said boyfriend was quick to snuggle in your arms, preventing you from going after his friend.

"Well, he's all yours. Bye!" Venti didn't even give you a chance to scold him for getting your lightweight boyfriend drunk.

"My love..." Kazuha whined in your arms as you bring him inside, sitting him down on couch. Once you so so, he leans closer to your face, a whiff of sake greeting your nose, but it wasn't too strong as he probably got drunk from just a shot or two.

"I want kisses."

"Kisses?" You repeated, amused at how adorable he's being.

"Yes... here." He pointed at his cheek, hand swaying a bit.

You sighed, aware of how much of a simp you are for this man that you'd do it, before nodding. Leaning in, you tried to kiss him.

However, before your lips can touch his skin, he suddenly stopped, narrowing his eyes like he's thinking. Well, as much as a drunk person can think.

"No... no wait." He gently pushes you away before drunkly reaching under the coffee table, almost falling off the couch if it weren't for your hand quickly moving to make sure he doesn't.

Kazuha muttered a quick thank you before handing you a box half filled with lipsticks.

"What is this for...?" He merely sends you a look that has you sighing in defeat. You eyed the contents of the box before hesitantly choosing one of the lipsticks, a red one that is almost as red as the streak on Kazuha's hair.

You applied it on your lips, a bit slowly since you're not used to putting one on.

When you looked back to Kazuha, you see him watching you with a loving gaze that made you a bit flustered. Even when he's drunk, he always seek to find his way to your heart.

As his drunk mind finally realized that you're done applying it, he eagerly leaned his face closer to you. His cheek looking like a blank canvas, ready to be painted.

"Please?" He whispers with pout, making your heart clench at his cuteness. You calmed your raging heart first before giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek, leaving a kiss mark once you pulled away.

"There. Now can you-"

"More. Please, love." ...You should've expected this. But how can you refuse?

Another kiss.

"More..."

And another.

"More..more..more..." You had to reapply the same lipstick when noticed that the next marks are not as vivid.

It wasn't long before Kazuha passed from his drunknes. Still, you made sure that every inch of his face and neck is covered with red lipstick. It suits him.

You only stopped when you realized that there wouldn't be any of the lipstick left if you keep this up.

When you rummaged through the box Kazuha gave you, you frowned. None of it are like the current one that you've used.

"... I should buy more of this." You mutter under your breath, ignoring all the others, wanting only this one lone lipstick.

After a few hours, Kazuha finally woke up, his head throbbing with hangover. You're not there with him, much to his confusion. But he's grateful for the water and hangover pills you left on the coffee table.

As he finished drinking the two, his eyes spots the box of lipstick, looking untouched, making a sad sigh leave his lips as he thought that he failed in his endeavour.

However, he spots his reflection on the mirror at the wall, immediately shaking off his distraught, hope blooming in his heart.

When he counted up the lipsticks, a grin grew on his face. He's quite happy to see at least one lipstick got approved.

Diluc is next on our list 👀

Once I'm done doing 3 more of this, I might go back and start updating my SAGAU again.

🍮 This fox was just doing his usual patrols when he heard your familiar voice nearby. A young forest ranger was flirting with you. He didn't hear what you two were saying so he came closer, remaining unnoticed.

🍮 "Well, you're beautiful and sexy aren't you?

🍮 Tighnari's ears twitched and stiffened up, listening with investment while he was at the same time preoccupied with peeling a mushroom.

🍮 Your eyes sparkle as if you've been waiting for this moment, and you do a dramatic gesture with your hands.

🍮 "ME. If I'm hot, THEN have you seen my boyfriend?! He's the hottest! He's as beautiful as a prince! Greens and flowers grow everywhere he's put foot! His gaze is enough to revive anything."

🍮 You entered a stage of yourself where you can't be stopped ranting about your deep love for Tighnari, you're so dedicated to this that you have no idea Tighnari just came closer. Your words flattered him over the limits, warming his soul up.

🍮 The forest ranger who was flirting with you, was so invested in listening to your detailed descriptions and praises that their mouth was half open.

🍮 You both look at the Forest watcher when he cleared his throat.

🍮"Shouldn't you be on duty? Your shift isn't finished yet. Come on, this forest isn't gonna do its own patrols." Tighnari firmly tells the other forest ranger who nodded, apologized and walked away after they said "bye" to you.

🍮 You look at Tighnari with a stupid face, confused of whether he heard your conversation or not. You're wondering how did he manage to be so silent and sneaky. But you aren't ashamed about what you said. Maybe you're just a little extra.

🍮 "Tighnari..." Your innocent smile on your face is contagious and makes him smile as well. "You look so good in the sun light." You compliment him as to take the attention off the earlier conversation about him.

🍮 Initially, Tighnari wouldn't want to bring it up in case you don't know he heard it, to not put you in a vulnerable situation, but he felt like reciprocating those feelings. He just doesn't know how.

🍮 "Thank you my little mushroom! You really don't have to tell me so many compliments, it makes me all emotional."

🍮 "I refuse. My prince!" And you hug him close, while he holds you tight immediately, you feel his fresh tree smell. He smells so good.

🍮 Tighnari rubs your back and you see his tail wagging eagerly, over his shoulder. Your curiosity wins you over and you bring the topic up, asking him for how long has he been there. He admits it that he heard you, his ears twitch and stiffen up again, as he moves the mushroom in his hand.

🍮 "I told you, is not as if I greens and flowers grow wherever I walk, you're describing me as some kind of prince in a book. And, you're not less hot or less beautiful than me, not at all! You're flattering me too much." Tighnari sighs and as he's absently arranging your hair, scarf and clothes.

🍮 The mushroom he had in his bag is given to you as a gift. But he also gave you a detailed explanation about the mushroom's properties and how it's not edible, but just very popular for decorative purposes.

Cyno

🍮 In the Akademiya, around 10 am, you are studying books in the library. There comes the flirty student who can't take their eyes off your smart face.

🍮 Once you take a break, you get company. They ask you about your study degrees, your interests and your essays. You're flattened by how much of a good impression they have about you. You get to talk about history and physics. It all keeps going 'till you realize you're subtly being hit on, and even get compliments.

🍮 Mahamatra Cyno was already listening to a big part of your conversation, while browsing books, unconcerned. You were well aware he was in the area. Cyno likes listening to other people's conversations from time to time. He enjoys the background noise of people talking while he's preoccupied with something else.

🍮 "Intelligence makes you sexy. And not only you have an amazing intelect but you hold beauty and charm on your face."

🍮 Once Cyno felt the heavy hints of the student hitting on you, he let go of what he wasn't doing, and came to sit at the table with both of you.

🍮 He continues the previous topic about the theory of evolution. He's an absolver of the Alademiya himself, after all. He's being a little boaster sometimes but you know he would never admit it. Once the silence takes over the table, you ask:

🍮 "Have you ever seen my boyfriend?"

🍮 "Oh, I didn't know you have a boyfriend! Of course I've never seen him"

🍮 "He's the most gorgeous. A true beauty. He could advertise man modeling."

🍮 "REALLY?"

🍮 Out of words, Cyno sits there looking at you both as if he's missing something. What are you trying to do?

🍮 "Yeeees. And he has scarlet eyes. Like the color of sunset."

🍮 Cyno feels like he's being advertised. The student falls for it and listens, invested, not picking up the signs at all.

🍮 "He is a master in martial arts, and he is really funny and has amazing jokes. He has a lean body, and long white hair."

🍮 "WHO IS HE?"

🍮 You look at Cyno and Cyno looks at you. They still don't get it. Is like you're describing some kind of prince they can't believe he exists. You notice a blush on Cyno's face.

🍮 After a few seconds of looking at Cyno, they get a revelation and realized that the mantra is your boyfriend. Which is cool as it is. You're smiling wide, while trying to not laugh too much. They're so stupid is funny.

🍮 "I am so sorry. I am so blind!"

🍮 "No, is fine, really, I didn't expect it either." Cyno reassures them.

🍮 "It has been a honour to talk with Mahamatra Cyno. And you too."

🍮 Your new friend has to get going now, and you remain alone with Cyno at the table.

🍮 "Too much... Praising..."

🍮 "No, is the raw truth." You look at Cyno ad he can't help but smile. He's embarrassed. Is so cute when he tries to hide it.

🍮 "Thank you for the kind words. It got me really out of guard. Poor guy was not taking your hints at all. It was funny."

🍮 "You're funnier."

🍮 "Okay babe, now it really is too much." He gestures with his hand. He then makes a pause before continuing: "I should have told them one of my jokes..."

🍮 You pat his thighs affectionately and he leans his head on you so fast. He wonders how can he make up for your spoiling love.

Venti

🍮 A young woman got her eyes on you dancing under the Anemo Archon statue in Mondstad. There was music coming from somewhere, like a gentle breeze of harmony.

🍮 On accident you bumped into her when spinning and she caught you and laughed at your silliness, her skin shining in the sun.

🍮 "Hello!"

🍮 You take a while to respond back, still getting your thoughts together: "Hi!"

🍮 "I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous you are. You're dancing by yourself?"

🍮 "I do that often here. When there's no one around." You scratch the back of your head, embarrassed. Your blushing face was even more noticable in the sun. The music didn't stop once. Neither did the bath of compliments. If she would have any idea your boyfriend was up there... Being the source of the beautiful sounds. You talk for a while.

🍮 "Just...Where is this music coming from? Is amazing. It fits you completely. Is like your theme."

🍮 "Is... my boyfriend. He is gifted with the skill of music. He has an angelic voice as well, but he doesn't always feel like singing."

🍮 "I love music." She takes a short pause before asking: "Happy couple?" And she laughs with warmth. "Am i right?"

🍮 "Yes. He's got the face of an angel. If only he knew how beautiful he is, he doesn't appreciate himself enough."

🍮 You knew he was up there and that he could hear you. The music stops.

🍮 "Where is he? Is he hiding somewhere?" The woman is confused, looking all around. However while she was looking up, Venti was already flying behind her, landing on the ground.

🍮 "It seems to me or am I the subject of discussion?" He approached the both of you, with confident steps. "Did someone call for me?"

🍮 "Oh, you were up there? How did you get down so fast?" The woman asks, full of curiosity.

🍮 "Uh... I have strong ankles!" To which he replies with a giggle. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am the gifted boyfriend with the angel face." He already has taken your praises all over his head. This bastard. You love him.

🍮 "And this is my windblume, and my muse, and the source of my godly inspiration."

🍮 "Venti."

🍮 "Oh yeah! How impolite, I almost forgot to say my name. You can call me Venti."

🍮 "Nice to meet you, Venti! You got an amazing partner, and dancer too."

🍮 "I think we should all three go for a cup of wine at angel's share." And he looks at you for confirmation, because you usually pay for the wine...

🍮 "If... that's okay with windblume, of course. Same as you."

🍮 And later that evening when your new friend had to go home, you and Venti had a few minutes of silence while sitting together at the table and looking around at trees and sunset.

🍮 "so... angel face..." He says, absently. "Where do you even come with those? I like it. I told you, you should write poetries."

🍮 "OH! is it because I drink at Angel's share? Or maybe it is just a funny coincidence."

🍮 "Now you will think about it for the whole week." You say and take a glance at your silly boyfriend who is sweet gazing at you.

🍮 "Is because you really have an angel face. But now, this makes it even better. I guess Angel's share is named after you!" Your hand strokes his, tenderly.

🍮 "I am an angel, but you're god." He declares, before lifting the wine glass to his mouth.

🍮 "you're a bit touched by alcohol." You check his forehead and stroke his head.

🍮 "I like to see the deep meaning in things. And I also like to keep words in my heart for as long as possible. Come here, why don't you sit in my lap?" He shows you his thighs.

🍮 "Venti..."

🍮 "Yes?"

🍮 "If I sit on your lap I will break your thighs, baby."

🍮 "I got strong ankles."

⇝ 04 - (✍︎︎) you can’t run from me

“Are you sure you don’t wanna tell them you’re okay?” Lumine asked, hint of concern in her tone.

“It’s fine.” Your voice was a little muffled since you’ve decided to cocoon yourself into a blanket. “Besides you’ve already told them how I’m doing.”

Lumine sighed and looked at her wrist. Was she looking at her watch? She didn’t have a watch. “Andddd, time’s up. Time to stop sulking.” Lumine drawled out before pulling you up from the couch by your hand. You let her drag you out of your comfortable spot, not having the energy to put more of a fight.

“Nooo.” You wailed with a straight face.

“Let’s go out and get something to eat. We could go to the arcade or go shopping, since I have time before my class.” Lumine ignored your dramatic act and pushed you in your room. “Get dressed or you’ll leave the house looking like a rat!”

“Fuck you.” You grumbled and Lumine just laughed.

“Yeah, yeah. I know you love me! Love you too.”

Since you didn’t have a choice, you got dressed as per Lumine’s command. You didn’t wanna leave the dorm looking like you just woke up from the dead. You didn’t want your non-existent (at this point) dignity to dwindle more. You were so embarrassed with what you said the other day and now that it got to Twitter you don’t think you would be able to look anyone in the eye if they found out you were the one who blurted that bullshit out. Just thinking about it makes you want to bury yourself in a grave.

“I’m ready.” You quietly announced.

“Oooh! Looking good. 10/10, Scara would smash.” Lumine joked.

“Is that a compliment or not?”

“Obviously a compliment.” She rolled her eyes.

“It’s hard to tell when Scara’s name is in the sentence.”

“That’s foul.” Lumine cackled.

“Ahh that was delicious!” Lumine stretched, seemingly content with what the both of you ate. “I’m full.”

“We should visit again next time.” You said gleefully, your mood lifted.

“Oh wait.”

“What?” You tilted your head. “What are you looking at?”

“It’s Venti!” Lumine exclaimed.

You squinted in the distance, “Oh yeah it is.”

“Venti!!” She waved her hand around above her head trying to get your friend’s attention. Venti looked around before spotting the both of you. He waved back making his way to where you guys were.

“Wait…” You blinked. “Is that Scaramouche with him?”

“Oh yeah, seems like it.” Lumine answered still waving her hand.

Your mood dropped. With a blank face you said, “Bye.”

“They a runner, they a track star.” Lumine hummed, chuckling a little as she watched your figure run away.

“Why’d y/n run away?” Venti inquired.

“Who knows?” Lumine shrugged.

“What the fuck is up with them?” Scaramouche frowned. “Are they avoiding me?”

“Yes.” Lumine smiled sweetly and Scara scoffed.

“Fine. I can play cat and mouse with them if that’s what they want.”

“Aww, how romantic.” Venti teased.

“Shut up.” Scara groaned, starting to chase after you.

“Nice one.” Lumine high-fived Venti.

“But of course.”

You started to jog once you thought you were far enough before you were walking altogether.

‘Should be far enough.’

You didn’t wanna go home yet, so you just walked around the mall leisurely. You had no destination in mind. All you knew was that you didn’t wanna face Scaramouche. At least, not yet. You knew that only Lumine has the knowledge of what happened, but you’re also aware that if anyone else finds out— especially Scaramouche— they would never let you live it down. He’d either tease the hell out of you or kill you before you could even do it yourself. Both of them doesn’t sound like a good outcome.

Because you were too distracted, you didn’t notice how someone was trailing after you and how he was already clasping your hand to stop you from walking any further. The only reason you noticed was, well, when he was already doing it— which was right now.

He tugged at the wrist he took a hold of making you turn around to face him. When you realized it was Scaramouche, your first reflex was to try to run away but that proved futile as he just tightened his grip and glared at you. “Don’t even try.”

You wanted to say something snarky but held it off. Instead you avoided eye contact with him and looked anywhere but towards him.

Scaramouche pulled the both of you towards a more secluded area. You let him pull you along without putting up much of a fight, because you knew he would just tighten his hold on your wrist more if you even tried to move away from him. Despite his hold being firm, it was soft. He held you in a way that didn’t harm you. Like how you would hold something delicate.

‘I guess he’s kind of a gentleman…’ You smiled a little at the thought as you looked at both of your hands.

“What are you looking at?” Scara frowned and followed your gaze. He immediately let go of your hand. “There’s not much people here, so speak.”

You try to evade your upcoming doom, “Are you sure you wanna let go of my hand? You know I can just run for it.”

He paused for a moment, thinking of what he can do. Now, this could have been your chance to run away while he was distracted but for some reason this didn’t even cross your mind. You wanted to know what he would do.

“Then I’ll just do this.” He trapped you between the wall and himself. He used his hand as some sort of cage for you. “This way, you can’t run from me.”

‘UHM???’

He whispered close to your ear, “Is this much better for you?”

‘EXCUSE ME? CELESTIAL BEINGS FROM ABOVE HELP ME.’

“Ahah,” you pushed him off of yourself chuckling nervously, you can feel your whole body slightly heat up. “Okay there buddy, ever heard of personal space?”

You knew that he knew that he had successfully made you flustered with the way he smugly smiled at you. It was like he knew where every single one of your nerves were and so far he has managed to hit every one of them.

‘He’s insufferable! I don’t get how anyone can like this guy.’

You bitterly rant to yourself. Just looking at him made your blood boil, so you scoff and turn to look at your right with your arms crossed. You refused to talk because you’re petty like that. He was the one who dragged you here in the first place, why would you need to speak first? After all, you don’t owe him anything.

“I just thought it would be more comfortable for you. I do apologize about that.” He didn’t sound the least bit sincere, if anything he found humour in it.

“Anyway, about the rumour.” Scara sees your facade crack a little, you stay quiet. “Hm, so you do know something about it.”

“No, I don’t.” You immediately refuted and he raised his brow in a questioning manner.

“Seems you do. You’re being defensive right now.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Then, shall I remind you?” Scara reaches for your hand and while holding eye contact, kisses your knuckles, the way a guy would in those historical manhwas you’ve read. “You and I are in a relationship.”

You frantically pull your hand away from him. You could feel your heart beating rapidly. ‘What is wrong with him?! Where did this confidence come from?’

“No, I don’t think we are.”

“Ooh really? That’s not what the guy who confessed to you said.”

“Huh?” You blink at him owlishly. “How… do you know about that?”

“Obviously the guy consulted me about it after he confessed to you.” Scara said matter-of-factly. “I heard it from him. Asked if we really were in a relationship.”

“And what did you say?”

“I did confirm it.”

‘Oh god, he really just secured my grave.’

You sigh, “So, you pulled me aside just to embarrass me further?”

“That. And I have a proposal.”

“And that is…?”

“We’ll date.” You look at him weirdly. “It’s fake of course. Think of it as a free trial.”

“Okay, so let me get this straight. We’re going to fake date? What do i get out of this free trial?” You shudder just at the thought, and what did he mean by free trial? He makes it sound like after you experience being with him, you would change your mind. You won’t ever change your mind about wanting to be with him, ever. The world would have to end before that even happens.

“Well, whenever someone confesses to you, you can just say you’re with me already just like you did before. It makes it less awkward for you trying to turn them down.” Scaramouche shrugged as he laid down the pros. “And, those annoying girls who are all over me would finally be out of my ass.”

“They would be out for my ass instead.” You deadpan. “Your fangirls are crazy, like isn’t this college? Why do they still have this behaviour.”

“You tell me.” He sighed. He was tired of their obsession towards him.

“The cons still outweigh the pros though.”

He tilted his head to the side, “What are the cons?”

“Being in a relationship with you even if it’s fake. And your fans coming for my ass.”

He looked at you with irritation and rolled his eyes, “Shut up. You think I wanted this?”

“Well.” You drawled out. “You were the one who came up with the proposal.”

“And you blurted my name out to turn them down.”

“Touché.”

Scaramouche hummed, “You would get free food during our dates?”

“Ooh man, why didn’t you say that earlier?” You light up. You were about to milk this guy’s money clean. “Just to be sure, you pay for everything whenever we go out right?”

“Yeah?” Scaramouche agreed, but it seems like he wasn’t too sure either.

“You got yourself a deal.” You offered your hand to him for a handshake. “Nice doing business with you.”

“Oh, but one more thing. No one can know that it’s fake, okay?”

“Okay, sure, whatever man.”

when they have to leave early

Includes: Childe, Diluc, Gorou, Xiao, Venti, Aether, and Tighnari.

Genre: Fluff! Established relationships. Gender neutral reader.

Word Count: 180-200+ for each.

Notes: Bullet imagine of some of the Genshin boys being mushy with you since they have to leave early in the morning. (unedited, sorry!)

Childe:

You were used to Childe having to leave earlier in the morning than you since he was a harbinger and he always had some sort of work to do before the rest of the world woke up.

Doesn’t mean he enjoyed leaving you so soon, though.

In fact, it was a sour start to his day when he had to and he’d always be irritable until he saw you again.

He’d probably lay awake for a while, placing slow, soft kisses on any part of your body he could reach before ultimately slipping out of bed to get ready for the day. He could never, ever, ever accomplish this without waking you up, though, so whenever he’d come back to the bedroom, he’d find you sitting up, waiting for him.

Broke his little heart seeing you so sleepy, but not wanting him to leave without his good morning kiss from you. It would simply be a crime if he left without it and you didn’t want to add to his uh, already large list of crimes.

He’d tuck you back into bed after you exchanged goodbye’s and many, many more kisses.

Diluc:

HATES having to wake up and leave before you. Absolutely DESPISES it. Diluc would rather have to tell his brother his true feelings about him face to face in front of a crowd of people, or drink alcohol, or, or… ANYTHING but this.

But alas, business is business and sometimes he has meetings early in the morning or something else that needs to be completed earlier in the day. He’d try his best to scoot out of bed as quietly as he could and not disturb you in the process.

This was always so hard, since you two always slept so closely embraced. As soon as he would hear you stir, whether you’d hum him a quiet greeting or simple roll over in bed, he’d say a few choice words in his head for disturbing your sleep. He might be able to sneak around Mondstadt at night undetected, but he could rarely ever leave your side without being found out.

However, whether he accidently woke you up or not, he couldn’t possibly leave you without saying that he loved you or his morning kiss, so he’d carefully place one your temple and whisper a quiet “I love you” before he left.

Gorou:

You would think as a general Gorou could wake up, slip out of bed, get ready and leave so quietly, the lightest sleeper wouldn’t even stir slightly.

Well… wrong.

This man can’t leave without waking you up almost immediately.

“I’m so sorry, honey,” he’d sigh, hastily throwing on his clothes while watching you blink tiredly at him, yawning. His teal eyes would convey just how sorry he was as they were fixed on your figure the whole time. “I have to leave early to go help out some of the new soldiers this morning, I’m sorry.”

You’d be too tired to respond, choosing to simply watch him in silence until he came to give you your goodbye kisses – always three right on your lips whenever you two departed. You would tell him you loved him in your morning voice that would always make Gorou want to stay longer (his ears twitching ever so slightly would give that away, along with the slight sway of his tail), but he’d tell you he loved you more and that he’d be back later for lunch.

Xiao:

Now this man knows how to leave without disturbing you. The problem is that Xiao is so good at it, he doesn’t even want to tell you bye or give you a goodbye kiss because he thinks it’ll ruin it. The sun wouldn’t even be up yet and he knew you wouldn’t wake up for another several hours, so the last thing he’d want to do is ruin that.

Somehow, your body just knows when he’s leaving though, so when he’s just about to slip out of your window and into the early morning air, he’d hear a soft “I love you, dear,” behind him.

Xiao really wishes you wouldn’t do that because your sleepy voice and exhausted eyes staring at him from the bed really tempted him to just discard his polearm and jump back in bed with you.

He can’t, though, so he’d quickly come back to you, one hand cupping your cheek, and give you a chaste kiss that always lasted a bit longer than you expected before saying he’d try to be back as soon as possible.

Venti:

Venti will actually wake you up to announce he’s leaving and no, he will not feel bad about it.

He doesn’t want you to wake up super confused and think he’s like, totally abandoned you!! So this is his way of making sure you know he’s leaving for a bit and will be back later. He wouldn’t know what to do if he gave you the impressions he didn’t care for you and was just leaving abruptly.

So, in the event he does have to leave early in the morning, either of his own accord or because he has a certain outlander to help find their lost sibling, he’ll gently shake you awake and explain that he’ll be off and will return in due time. He wouldn’t give you the chance to protest or express any disappointment in front of him, either.

Venti will give you lots and lots of goodbye kisses, too, because he could never leave you without pouring out every ounce of love his body had for you. And, he makes sure you remember that he’s always with you with the light breeze that takes his place whenever he’s gone.

Aether:

Aether used to leave you in the mornings without disturbing you, but you somehow trained yourself to wake up whenever he left the bed because there were too many times he’d leave and then come back looking like he had taken a beating.

He worried you so much, so now if you don’t wake up, he’ll nudge you awake so he can explain where he’s going for the day. He understands why you’re like this, since most of his “oh, I’m just going to meet with the archon of this nation to find my lost sibling” turned into “I fought an ancient god/fatui harbinger/that same archon almost to death. And no, I didn’t find out where my sibling is, either.”

So yeah, he can’t leave without explaining to you first what the plan was for the day and promises of returning as soon as he could.

And of course, those promises were always accompanied with many goodbyes kisses planted on your cheeks and nose and forehead and lips and-

Yeah, you get the picture. If it wasn’t for Paimon reminding Aether he had to leave soon, he’d stay right there in his spot beside you, giving you good-bye/good morning kisses until he couldn’t.

Tighnari:

Sometimes, Tighnari would have to wake up before the sun rose to tend to his forest ranger duties. Often times, this meant you wouldn’t wake up since you’d be in a deep sleep still. (Thank the archons, because if you woke up it was hard for you to go back to sleep, so the dendro user hated accidentally disturbing your rest.)

It also meant you’d most likely still be asleep by the time he got back since the shift was so early.

That doesn’t mean he would leave without bidding you some sort of goodbye. He’d leave you a note explaining where he was so you wouldn’t worry if you woke up and plant a quick kiss on your head before he departed.

If you did wake up, though, he’d probably take the time to sit beside you in bed and tell you where he was going and what he’d be doing instead of leaving a note. “I should be back in around five hours,” he’d estimate before standing up and announcing he was leaving. Not without a few goodbye kisses, though, of course.

They are treated like Queens and Kings, people offers them toys and candies they never ate before, because after all they share the same blood as the Creator, and people think that if they gain the children's affection, they would get yours as well. You're quite busy in Teyvat, but luckily you have many candidates for babysitting.

. The Traveler looks at them with a heavy heart, it may be cheesy but it reminds her/him of her/his twin when they were both younger. She/He really hopes, those kids wouldn't get separated, it's a horrible feeling to experience, but she/he is sure with someone like you, they will always be happy and safe. She/he shares a lot of stories about others worlds she/he visited to them, and if they want they can come with her/him and Paimon on adventures, of course, the less dangerous ones. Even if Paimon disagrees with it because they're trying to cook her and she is scared be alone now.

Characters who are so sweet around children, Thoma, Itto and Childe would love to play with them, especially since they are part of your family, if you're busy you can count on those boys to look after them and have a great time. If they're brats, lucky for them because Childe is way worse, and tease the absolute heck out of them because they're small and not as strong as him while still acting sweet, totally spoil them, and will take them to Mr. Cyclope. While Itto might pout at them because they can't stop trying to touch his horns and mock him when he looses, but he is so fun to play with, that the kids want to be around him all the time. And for Thoma, he doesn't mind cleaning the mess they make but he turns desperate of the kids bulling him constantly, but don't worry, he will find a solution to make them like him, he might need the help of Taroumaru though.

. Zhongli will be honored to take care of them, but the kids will get bored with his neverending stories, even if it's about a topic they like, however, he is the greatest for putting them to sleep. He'll hide his disappointment about the twins not being interested in their relative's impact on how he shaped Liyue and its economy, truly a pity. However, they can listen to Venti all day, he has the funniest stories and let them play with his lyre, he really is the best babysitter as he takes fun playing with the children. He also always has a bottle with him which they were curious about it, and he told them it's "the delicate liquid fluttering the butterflies in my chest, making me obsessed with its sweet taste." before passing out, they wanted to drink it but you stopped them before they did and scolded Venti later.

. Also, don't let them with Klee if you want to keep Teyvat safe, Jean can't survive the 3 alone, even Kaeya wouldn't try to let them go. They like playing with Qiqi but last time they played hide and seek together, the twins stayed half of the night alone while everyone was panicking and searching for them.

being the ultimate pretty boy he is, you couldn't help your little celebrity crush on him. those amethyst eyes, and those outfits that showed off his lean muscle, and his indigo hair always tousled to perfection, and—

"y/n! snap out of it!"

you blinked back to reality, a concerned-looking amber greeting you. "you alright there? i called your name three times!"

"yeah, i'm fine. what were you saying?" you smiled sheepishly.

"i said that i got us tickets to 5wirl's concert! gotta support venti and the guys, you know? and apparently, they're having a special guest tomorrow!" amber babbled excitedly.

"alright, bye xiao!" hu tao called out while walking, then whipping her phone out to take a selfie of you three. "aren't you guys glad we got vip tickets? perks of knowing the guys performing, am i right?"

"you mean i got us vip tickets. you practically begged me for them. and don't you have more mora than me? you better pay me back later!" amber huffed, hands on her hips.

"but those are for my coffin advertisement funds!" hu tao whined. "and zhongli keeps making me pay for him. something about childe refusing to be his 'human wallet'?"

"surely he didn't spend that much? after all, it is coming from your own pocket."

"trust me, amber, you do not know how much he can spend."

“guys! it’s starting!” you held your breath in anticipation.

a wave of cheers rippled through the crowd as the spotlights flickered on, pointing at the middle of the stage. there, in all his glory, was none other than…

“i-is that venti?” amber gasped, shock evident on her face.

“holy shit, i think it is!” hu tao pulled her phone out, snapping a picture.

“um, why is he dressed like ei? don’t tell me he’s our ‘special guest.’” you mumbled the last part, trying not to let your disappointment show.

“yo, is he doing her signature move? but with a wine bottle?” someone said, voice echoing out through the shocked silence.

seconds later, whistles and applause rang through the night, as people laughed at the sight before them.

venti grinned, wielding his empty wine bottle like a mic. “thank you, thank you! but now, for our real guest…” he paused for dramatic effect.

“scaramouche!” the five band members yelled together.

the said man swaggered upstage, backlit with an assortment of purple and red lights, for more dramatic effect (you know, like the drama king he is). the fans went wild— you included.

“no fucking way!” you gaped in astonishment.

he met your wide-eyed gaze with a wink, smirking as if he heard you. head ducked away in embarrassment, you felt warmth crept up your face.

xiao donned his electric guitar, moving to stand next to scaramouche. he grabbed the mic off the stand as the teal-haired man plucked a few notes. the two shared a glance before turning to face the ever-enthusiastic crowd.

heizou rapped the wooden sticks onto the drums, while kazuha strummed the bass. aether and venti harmonized the backing vocals, as scaramouche sang the first few lines.

"指切りげんまんホラでも吹いたら針でもなんでも飲ませていただき monday" (i pinky swear, if i do tell a lie I'm willing to swallow needles, or whatever, on a Monday)

"it doesn't matter if it's sunday!" everyone joined in.

xiao sang the next few lines, leaning into his own mic.

"鏡よ鏡よこの世で1番変わることのない愛をくれるのはだれ" (Mirror, mirror on the wall, Who in the world can give me unconditional love?)

"No need to ask cause it's my darling." they sang in synchrony, and you could've sworn scaramouche was staring at you, but perhaps it was your wishful thinking.

"I'll always stick with ya, my baby."

"oh my~ he's totally looking at you y/n!" hu tao elbowed you, knocking you out of your music-induced trance.

you had no time to answer as the sounds of whoops and cheers drowned your voice— not that you knew how to respond. you clapped as well, thinking that it was the best concert you've been to (because of the song. not your crush. at least that's what you told yourself.)

as people filtered out and the smoke thinned, the three of you went backstage to your other friends.

"xiao! you never told me you knew scaramouche!" you accused, jabbing a finger at him.

he shrugged. "i didn't think you needed to know."

you grabbed his shoulders, shaking him. "you know how much i listen to him! i have his cds, his merch, what do you mean i didn't need to know!?"

you opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out.

"oh? i assume you want my autograph?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "or a photo, if that's more your style."

"i-uh." you internally berated yourself for not being able to speak properly.

"hm? what was that?" he leaned forward, wearing the most shit-eating grin you've ever seen.

09. accidental sleep over party

act 1, scene 1

“Y/N, did u like the food?” Scaramouche looked up from his phone over to the couch where his friends all sat. “Was it your first time eating authentic Inazuman food?”

“Authentic my ass… Inazuma doesn’t use any of the Sumeru-based spices that you put in!”

“Shut the fuck up, Heizou, just admit you’re a little bitch boy who can’t eat spices.”

“Hmm? Yeah~ yummy yummy, mmm… ramen.” Y/N slurred amidst their bickering.

To her left, Kazuha chuckled as he took another sip of his drink. “And here I thought Xiao was the lightweight. If anything, she’s significantly worse... I didn’t even think that was possible.”

“Man alive, give her a break. It was her first time trying saké.”

“I should probably get her home…” Xiao’s eyes never left the view of her hands playing with his fingers. “Come on, Y/N. I have to get you home before it’s too late or Hu Tao would kill me…”

The teal haired boy tried to wiggle his way up to tug the tipsy girl away from the sofa.

“Noooo… wanna stay ‘lil longer…” She looked up at him pleadingly. “At least… lemme be sober when I get home.”

Xiao ruffled his hair, a little stressed, but unable to deny the puppy eyes peering up at him with a pout.

“Fine.” He managed to mumble before prying his eyes away from her.

“Well, then I guess I’ll get going,” Scaramouche spoke up from behind them, “it’s the weekend so I’ll be visiting my mom and aunt. See ya. No funny business in our room when I’m gone.” He grabbed his keys off the counter before starting towards the door.

“And one more thing,” he paused. “Don’t break anything.”

“Pfft, yeah yeah, we’re not kids, Scara.” Heizou rolled his eyes.

“I’m not talking about you guys. I’m talking about that one.” Scaramouche pointed at Y/N, who promptly stuck her tongue out at him in response. “And give her water or something. Anyways, bye.” He closed the door behind him.

“Can we play Pokémon again?” Y/N called to Xiao, who was grabbing her a drink of water from the fridge.

“Sure. Do you guys want to join us?” He looked over at his two other roommates.

“No it’s alright, you two go ahead. I wanted to finish this show before I go to bed.” Kazuha smiled at them.

“Yeah, same here! Plus I have to work on a case study due on Sunday so I don’t want to procrastinate too much.” Heizou added.

“Alright then. We’ll be in my room. Come on, Y/N.”

act 2, scene 1

“Feeling better now?” Xiao asked as he continued hunting for shinies with Y/N on the Switch.

“Yeah… at least I think I’m pretty sober…”

“Alright. Tell me when you want to go home then, okay?”

“It’s only nine. Can we leave around 11? I’m sure my roommates won’t mind.”

He chuckled. “Of course, whenever you’d like.”

As they continued to travel around the map together in their virtual world, Y/N got a notification from Twitch.

Streaming Escape the Backrooms

“Oh, Venti is streaming!” She showed Xiao her phone screen.

“Did you want to watch?”

“Can we?”

“Of course.” He said as he got off the of the bed before powering on his PC and wirelessly connecting it to his mini projector for them to watch.

She observed as the wall adjacent to Scaramouche’s bed lit up with Venti’s signature waiting screen. She shuffled around to lay on her stomach, facing the screen as Xiao got back onto the bed after turning off the lights and mimicked her. He pulled the blanket over her legs before settling back down.

“Cozy?”

“Yupp! Thank you.”

Hey guys! Oh, damn there’s a lot of you… how have you all been? My friend Cyno will be joining me to play Escape the Backrooms. I think I put his twitch somewhere in the title… if not then the mods can drop his stuff in the chat.

Yeah, we’ve been meaning to play it but Venti said he was worried about pissing himself on camera if he played alone.

I did not!

Did too.

Tch… So anyways! We’re going to try to get through as many levels as we can in one sitting. Some of our friends will be joining us as well if we have to restart!

Okay. I am ready.

Same. Hi Childe, thanks for the sub. I look cute? You too, buddy.

Oh! Hi Y/N, hi Xiao! How’s studying? Ooooh nice. Thanks for tuning in! Yeah, haha OHMYGODWHATTHEFUCK AAAAA—

Venti shut the fuck up it’s just the loading screen.

Oh.

I think I tinkled myself.

The two continued watching their friends run through the thrilling game, as Venti continued to occasionally scream to let out his anxiety or to piss off Cyno while the latter would make panicked jokes to calm himself.

The stream in its entirety was entertaining as the two natural born “comedians” (more so Venti than Cyno) ventured through the creepy levels. However, Y/N couldn’t help but feel tired from the day’s events.

Studying was mentally taxing… Eating, drinking, and conversing with Xiao and his roommates also took a lot of energy. To end it all off, gaming—although relaxing—also took a certain amount of brain power and concentration.

The warmth radiating beneath Xiao’s blanket shared between the two project mates called to them, calming their senses. Despite the jump scare at the end of the stream, Y/N and Xiao laid there unbothered and sound asleep.

You're entirely new to the region of Mondstadt, having moved there only few Days ago. Everyone seems to be extremely nice! Well almost everyone... There's this bard, for some reason he's been staring at you. Never talking, just staring from a distance. Most people told you you shouldn't worry, he's probably just drunk they said. Well either he's drunk 24/7 or they were wrong, (Both actually) becuse it's been multiple days and he's still staring at you everytime you see him and when you don't see him too.

🍃 Venti's reaction upon seeing you for the first time was... Worrisome to say the least.

🍃 From the moment he saw you, something deep inside of him just made him stare, he didn't know why but... This random human was all he could think about. Nothing was able to stop it, not even wine!

🍃 Something about you was just so... captivating. Maybe it was how you looked like, maybe it was your personality? The bard wasn't sure himself, all that he knew is that he REALY liked you for some reason...

🍃He would try to find out more about you, following you around silently, watching your every little move~

🍃 Seeing you go about your business only made him even more obsessed. He no longer would even drink! Spending all the time that he could simply looking at you from afar, falling in love more and more each Day.

🍃 Venti is a god of freedom, he never would have kidnaped and imprisoned you, that goes against all he stands for... However, if for some reason you would need to leave Mondstadt, he would follow you, leaving his nation behind.

🍃 He would take a role of you Guardian angel, making sure nothing bad ever happens to you, while never reaveling himself to you.

🍃 Venti is overall a harmless, Stalker yandere. Tho creepy, you most likely won't even realise he Likes you.

🍃 In conclusion, he is one of the better yanderes you can have.

But one thing that I wanted to as for the bully AU. What if Y/n doesn’t care? Like they wake up and the anemo boys are eating their food and they just go and get some coffee before turning to them and asking ‘So how did everyone sleep last night’. Acts like the boys are their own children that moved out a long time ago but goes back home for random things.

And the boys would be so happy with that! That Y/N act so naturally with them and let them do whatever they want. That's what they all wanted.

If anyone passed by and saw the scene, they would think it's a nice family scene, with all of them talking and being loud in the early hours of the morning, full of energy. Venti telling them about any weird dream he had that night and not closing his mouth at any minute, Xiao pinching their cheek telling them to eat the toasts he have made for them and Kazuha asking them what they are planning to do today after class - whatever it is, they will go too - and of course teacher is not going to say anything, they are already to used to always have the five boys following them around to whatever they go, even in the bathroom. At first it was very embarrasing, but now they don't even bother to cover themselves - it's not like the boys are going to see something that they don't have seen already. - when one of the boys enter without knocking asking where is the control of the TV or that they want pizza for dinner - they could have wait for you to end in the bathroom, but no. -

After breakfast, they will all go to the college as if they were a group of normal friends, all behind their dearest teacher, silently walking while looking their back. <3
