Confessions Series - Part 1: Overheard [Genshin Impact Male Characters]
Note: Welp I had the itch to write again so here I am. Though sleep deprived because baby keeps waking up every 3 hours to feed... I wanted to do this haha. Based on @soulprompts “I love you” prompts. What other character should I do?
Warnings: haven’t written in a while please excuse and tell me about pronoun slips, I’m sleep deprived, not proofread, some are just concepts of liking someone, having a crush on them, while some are full blown love confessions. SOME ARE ANGSTY, chose only the male characters I wanted to write for instead of forcing myself to do all of them.
Characters: Aether, Albedo, Alhaitham, Ayato, Cyno, Dainsleif, Diluc, Itto, Kaeya, Scaramouche, Xiao, gn!reader
Other works in this series: (Part 2 - Description)
Scenario: Talking to a friend about how you feel about him. Unbeknownst to you, he was listening, hidden round the corner. What does he do?
Aether
“He’s sweet,” You simply answer when asked what you like about Aether. “I mean, he’s a simple guy. He’s not a mystery, it’s not hard to read him nor to get along with him. I guess that’s one of the reasons why a lot of people like him.”
“Uhuh,” your friend drawls, their head lazily resting on their hand. “but you don’t just like Aether. You seriously LIKE him,”
You’re rendered speechless by the statement for a second, tripping over your first words, “Well--I mean--” and as if realizing you’re making a fool of yourself by speaking in garbles, you recover. “Yeah, I guess...” You don’t know why you admit to it, but it’s not like your friend didn’t already know.
What he does:
Is tempted to immediately walk up to you and reconfirm the conversation.
Stops himself for a minute and replays the whole conversation in his head, probably once, twice and maybe a third time.
Second guesses himself, but when he finally goes through all possible options, he realizes there’s no mistaking the overheard confession.
All the while, Paimon is nagging him to go talk to you. “You didn’t hear wrong! Stop thinking too much, hurry and go!” Ends up being pushed out into the open by his flying companion.
“Erm...Ahem” he coughs into his fist. “I...didn’t mean to eavesdrop...Y/N, sorry, but... can we continue this conversation somewhere else? Somewhere...a little more private?” and the shy smile he gives you is a tell tale sign that he had most likely felt the same.
Albedo
“His schedule is always busy. He has his hands full with Klee, on top of all the work he needs to do,” was your excuse to your friend when asked why you haven’t confessed to the alchemist yet. “I don’t think Albedo has time for this type of thing, you know? He doesn’t need a distraction.”
What he does:
His logical side agrees that he doesn’t need a distraction.
But the other part of him doesn’t mind if its you.
Pauses for a moment, thinks about it for a second, before confronting you about it just minutes later.
“...Schedules can be made flexible, Y/N,” you jump at his sudden voice. “Just as distractions...can sometimes be a good thing,” Albedo stretches a hand out to you. “...Care to test how good of one you can be to me?”
Alhaitham
“Y/N, Alhaitham is FAR from stupid. There’s no way he hasn’t figured out that you have a crush on him,”
“Shush!!” You swerve around to your friend, ducking a little, as if that would help you become invisible. “People could be listening, besides, if that’s true, then it’s even worse. It means that he knows, and probably has no interest in me, so let’s just forget about it, ok?”
What he does:
..................................No he doesn’t know. Sure he’s smart but............he could be dense when it came to these things. That, or he just didn’t know what to do.
Does not confront you about it immediately. In fact he turns around and walks away without being spotted, opting to think about his next steps instead of just rushing into the conversation.
Lo and behold a few days later he’ll show up in front of you with his usual stoic expression.
“Y/N,” he starts, and you freeze on the spot, looking up at him, blinking.
“Y-Yes?” You haven’t seen nor heard from him in days and as usual, you attributed it to him being busy. Little did you know that he had been mulling over how to talk to you.
“I heard your conversation with (your friend) the other day,” straightforward was his answer to everything, even in this particular situation.
It takes you a few seconds to internalize his words. You’re not even sure which conversation he means. You talk to (your friend) a lot. Your brows start to furrow in confusion, until he clarifies.
“...I wouldn’t say that I completely have no interest in you,” he starts, and your shoulders tense up, now realizing which conversation it was. You could feel your cheeks start to burn, all you wanted to do was run away.
Alhaitham holds back a sigh, “...Anyway, here is no place to talk about this... I’ll meet you at Puspa Cafe tonight, if you’re free,”
You’re FAR from stupid too, and knew exactly what he was trying to do.
Ayato
“Besides why would the Lord Commissioner even look at someone like me?” you hiss at your friend who was trying to persuade you that Ayato also had the hots for you. It just seemed a little delusional to you.
“He takes the chance to rile you up every time he sees you. He’s obviously doing it on purpose,” your friend counters. You roll your eyes up to high heaven.
“He does that to everyone...” you conclude, knowing that Ayato had the habit of--though you don’t know if intentionally--giving his servants a scare.
“Alright, alright, you don’t have to be so jealous,” your friend quips back, you send them a quick glare before going back to doing your own work.
What he does:
Doesn’t even bat an eye. Smirks as he hears the whole story.
Confidently reveals his presence to the two of you, chuckling.
“Jealousy doesn’t usually paint a beautiful colour,” he starts, the overly pleasant smile on his face. You straighten up immediately, eyes changing into saucers when you realize he had heard the whole thing. You open your mouth to explain, but he beats you to it.
“But I must say it looks a little different on you, Y/N, almost charming,” The side of his lip quirks up the slightest bit into a subtle grin. You bite your lip, there he is again trying to rile you up, maybe (your friend) was right.
“...Is there anything I can do for you Lord Commissioner?” you ask, trying to stray away from the subject. He only chuckles.
“You’ll find that there are a LOT of things you can do for me, Y/N. Start by accompanying me to tea, hm?” He wasn’t really asking, it was almost a command.
You wished your friend snickering on the side would just shut up.
Cyno
“...He’s a little intimidating don’t you think? I don’t know why you like him so much,” your friend comments, slacking off on their pile of paperwork. You roll your eyes at them.
“Maybe because he works hard, unlike other people,” you shake your head a little.
“As General Mahamatra he’s supposed to work hard. Just admit that you have weird tastes.” your friend counters, still procrastinating on their share of work.
“Okay, so what if he’s a little vicious in his ways? He’s just doing his job. Now, it would help me if you started doing yours as well,”
What he does:
Doesn’t know what to do.
Stands hidden for quite a long time. The subject has already moved on and away from him.
Torn between revealing himself now or later.
Can’t think properly so exits from the situation and comes back later that same day, when you’re still working with your friend.
As he approaches your table, your friend notices him first. (Your friend) nudges you with their elbow, tilting their chin up to let you know that someone was approaching.
You pick your head up, and feel yourself go rigid when you see that it’s Cyno. At first you think to yourself that he might not be here to talk to you, maybe he’s just about to walk by...but he stops in front of your table and you’re left to wordlessly look up at him.
There’s a moment of silence that seemed to stretch on forever.
“...I value the high praise that you give me,” he starts and you immediately want to duck under the table and hide.
He heard.
“O-Oh, G-General Mahamatra, you heard that...It’s...nothing, hard work deserves to be praised...” you avert your gaze down to the papers you were working on, pretending to continue and be busy with them.
There was an awkward pause, your eyes darting up towards him for a second, checking if he was still looking at you, before breaking away again and furiously flipping through papers.
“...Do you want to play some TCG?”
“Huh?” You end up with an incredulous look on your face, trying to gauge if he was serious. His face is still blank, but the usual tenseness in the way he carried himself gave way for a barely seen relaxation. It was hard to spot, but it was there.
You ended up sighing a little in what you could only describe as relief, giving him a lopsided smile. “Sure, but go easy on me, I haven’t played in a while,”
“That’s fine. Perhaps a daily practice session will do you good,”
Dainsleif
“Mysterious, aloof, disappears into thin air... A man like that? You probably should stay away, Y/N. You don’t know what he dabbles in,” (Your friend) warns, looking at you with genuine concern.
“Perhaps he has some secrets...but I don’t think he’s a bad guy at all. I’ve spent some time conversing with Dainsleif here and there,” you continue to wipe the tables, not noticing that the man you were talking about had long entered the tavern already and was now standing behind the two of you.
“At least he’s handsome, there’s that,” (Your friend) adds.
“Sure, but that’s not the only reason I like him,” you laugh.
What he does:
Wonders if he heard the conversation right and overanalyzes what you mean by “like” him.
Either way it stirs a strange emotion in him, one that he hadn’t felt in a long, long time.
Prefers to get things over with and thinks there’s no harm in confronting you immediately.
You hear someone clear their throat behind you. Thinking that it was a customer you turn around with a pleasant smile, only for it to slowly dwindle down into a shocked expression.
Dainsleif.
“Y/N,” he nods his head towards you casually. You gulp, force a smile, and nod back. “Hi, you’re early today,” just as your friend slips away from the conversation. Dainsleif doesn’t even spare them a glance.
He doesn’t have much to say about your comment of him being early. He doesn’t particularly know why he was early today either. Perhaps...fate would have him hear the conversation between you and (Your friend).
“Yes, well, it looks like there were benefits to being early today,” he meets you eye to eye, the intensity in his gaze almost makes you blush from your neck all the way up to the top of your head, but you fought the giddiness back.
“...What can I get you?” there’s a shiver that threatens to run up your spine, wondering if your deflection was successful. Dainsleif closes his eyes momentarily, before opening them with a strange sense of courage.
“Your company,”
Diluc
“It’s been years,” (Your friend) says, the two of you looking up at the massive oak tree of Windrise. They glance at you from the side of their eye before continuing. “Are you still in love with Diluc?”
There’s a breeze that passes, almost melancholic, and partly whispered of sorrow. “...I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving him.” You pick your hand up to rub at your arm. “Jean, Kaeya, Diluc and I...So many things have changed since we were kids...but I don’t think that spot for Diluc will ever go away,”
“Does he know, at least?” (Your friend) asks and you half scoff.
“I’m not sure, I get the feeling he does, but doesn’t act on it. Which is why...maybe the only way to solve this emptiness is to leave Mondstadt altogether.”
“Out of sight, out of mind huh?” (Your friend) claps your back, and turns around to start walking away with you.
What he does:
Internally a mess of emotions. Doesn’t know where to start.
but he’s just standing there and he’s stuck watching (your friend) and you turn around to come face to face with him.
He looks at you, a wave of memories and emotions flashing through his mind all at once, it almost overwhelms him.
“D-Diluc,” you stutter, heart freezing in your chest. You see him take a steadying breath in, prying his gaze away from you and over to (Your friend).
“(Your friend), could you give us a minute?” he asks. (Your friend) obliges, passing you a quick glance before going ahead on their own. Another breeze runs by, ruffling his long red hair.
“...I didn’t mean for you to hear that,” you start, and yet he doesn’t say anything, prompting you to continue talking. “...You don’t have to think about it too much, it’s just silly--”
“I wasn’t sure,” he cuts you off, eyes drawn to the ground now. “I wasn’t sure...if you really felt that way.”
The statement somehow exasperates you. “You weren’t sure? All those times I stayed by your side when everyone else left--” then it hits you. “Or were you scared, Diluc?”
The quick grimace in his expression tells you the answer. His reply comes a few seconds later, “I was, I still am,” but he picks his head up, and finally looks you straight in the eye. “...but this time...” his fists clench on his side. “This time give me the chance to show you how much I really care about you,”
He was not going to lose you too.
Itto
“Seriously?! Itto? Arataki Itto? Are you for real?” (Your friend) announces to nearly half of the food stall, the other customers swerving around to look at the two of you.
"Oh, say it a bit louder why don’t you?” You roll your eyes at your friend and continue eating.”
“Sorry. I just--Out of all the people you could choose, your huge crush is on that big brute??” your can tell by the look on your friend’s face that they think you have weird tastes.
What he does:
Butts in without even thinking of the conversation. Has no clue what’s going on.
“Crush?!”
You and your friend startle, swerving around to see none other than the oni with his hands on his hips. “Y/N?! You planning on crushing me?!” then he guffaws with laughter, slapping his knees in the process. “Yeah right, you’re no match for me!”
Your previously gaped open mouth slowly closes and your shoulders relax, sighing. You’re a little disappointed he doesn’t get it at all. Your friend shakes their head with a long sigh. “You stupid oaf, we don’t mean it that way...”
Itto’s head tilts sideways, a genuinely confused look on his face. “No? Then... Watcha all talkin about?”
You grab your friend’s arm and pull them forward the slightest bit. “It’s not important! Actually, we better get going--”
“Y/N has a CRUSH on you, idiot! Y/N LIKES you!” Your friend explodes, patience long gone.
Itto blinks at the confession, his eyes darts towards you, “...Oh,” then there’s the slight tugging at his chest, he can’t help but beam and smile silly. “Yeah? You’re not too bad yourself Y/N! I like you too!”
You’re not sure if he really understood the confession in its entirety.
Kaeya
“It’s all just fun and games with Kaeya. It doesn’t mean anything,” you laugh sheepishly, yet you rub the back of your neck a little.
“...Do you want it to be just fun and games?” your friend chides, and there’s a moment of silence. The two of you just sitting there already knowing the answer, it’s almost uncomfortable, until your friend sighs.
“...Let’s change the subject,”
What he does:
responds immediately. Will not wait a second longer to come out of his hiding place and ask about what he just heard.
“How about let’s not?” Kaeya emerges out of nowhere, slipping into the seat next to you at the cafe. His poise is confident and instantly his head lazily places itself into the palm of his hand, gaze lingering at you.
“Snowflake, I had no idea you felt like that,” his voice is smooth like ice and you bite your lip to keep yourself from saying something stupid.
“...I didn’t say anything though?” you countered, trying to evade the conversation. Your friend watches on with interest.
“Silence speaks volumes, Y/N,” Kaeya scoots even closer to you, your shoulders touching each other. However, he maneuvers his arm around to lay on the seat behind you. “So if you’re opposed to what I’m about to do, better speak up,”
He leans closer, inch by inch, he waits for you to say something.
You stay silent.
He grins.
Scaramouche
“Hat guy? He’s brutal. But who am I to comment on your tastes, Y/N. You’ve always been weird,” (Your friend) chides, watching as you go over the bookshelf again.
“Stop calling him that,” You murmur under your breath, more focused on finding the right book for your research. “That’s not his only distinctive feature, you know,” you continue, still engrossed in looking for a book.
“Oh? What else are his “distinctive features”?” (Your friend) drawls, rolling their eyes.
You hum a little, then plop on the ground cross-legged, wanting to get a better look on the last row of books of the Akademiya’s library. “...His eyes,” you simply answer. “They’re a beautiful shade of violet-blue...He’s always glaring at someone half of the time but he actually has very pretty eyes,”
There’s silence and you finally get the peace you need to concentrate. However, that silence is broken by a voice that you know all too well.
What he does:
is amused.
thinks its cute pathetic.
will still look angry but will have a hard time actually being angry.
will be cocky.
“My eyes, huh?”
It’s hard to completely turn around in your sitting position, so you do the best you can to turn, side eye landing on Scaramouche’s form. He has his arms crossed as usual, but there’s a smug smirk on his face. “Didn’t know it was that fascinating to you, bookeater,”
It was supposed to be an insulting nickname for you, who always had your nose in a book, but you took no offense to it at all.
You didn’t know what to say, so you continued staring at him. He being the anti-social person that he was, just stared back. There was a big gap of silence before he felt that it was becoming too awkward.
...What’re you looking for?” he blurted out.
“...A book...”
“Are you stupid? Of course you’re looking for a book. I meant what’s the title?” There his usual sneer was back again and he unfolded his arms to look at you unimpressively.
“...A History of Inazuma: Volume 2...” you meekly replied, slowly realizing that he actually heard you praising him.
“You’re in the wrong section,” the exasperated sigh he gives out causes you to wince, and you turn away back to the bookshelf as if to shield you from all this embarrassment.
“If it’s about Inazuma, you should just be asking me,” you blink as your peripheral catches sight of an outstretched hand. You tilt your head to see that he’s offering his hand, but his face is blank.
“...Well? Come on. I don’t have all day,”
You bite your lip to keep yourself from smiling, something about the way he said it sounds threatening, but also slightly playful. But that’s just the way he was.
You accept his hand, and he pulls you up easily.
Xiao
“Oh so that’s why you’re coming over more frequently...” (Your friend) grins, and you wave your hands around to tell them to quiet down. Adepti had good hearing after all.
“Well, I’m also coming over cause Verr Goldet needs more help these days in the kitchen. You guys are getting so much customers these days that Yanxiao has a hard time by himself,”
“Uhhuuhhhhhh, sure...was it also Verr Goldet who told you to try and master the Almond Tofu recipe from Yanxiao? Cause you’re awfully hell bent on trying to learn that recipe, according to Yanxiao,”
You fall silent, feeling heat crawling up your neck. “I--” You start, searching for an excuse, but realized there was no escaping this one. “I just want to do something nice for Xiao, that’s all,” you innocently quip. “I...I know I can’t help him much, but maybe just cooking his favourite dish will help, even a little,”
(Your friend) smiles a little, knowing that the adepti probably heard everything. “That’s nice of you, Y/N. You must care about him a lot,”
What he does:
once upon a time he would do absolutely nothing. because getting involved with humans is something he shouldn’t do.
But now he bides his time, and observes if it’s safe to open up.
He wouldn’t outright thank you at first, but he’ll slowly show up in front of you a little more everyday.
He’s rather awkward, so at first he only nods his head as thanks when you leave the bowl of almond tofu on the ledge.
Eventually when he realizes you’re not going to stop cooking for him he goes the extra mile to do something simple for you too.
He places a stalk of your favourite flower on the ledge, right before you come to put down his bowl of almond tofu.

Not anymore (Lando Norris)
Lando's determined to make you see where you belong
Note: english is not my first language. I hope this is still enjoyable to read as I really challenged myself with these pieces! I'm not sure how good this is (or how much you will want to kill me)! This is part 2 of We don't fit together ! Edit: I used a line from dumplingsjinson (they're the best 🫶✨️)
Thank you so much to everyone who likes and reblogs, your feedback is appreciated 🤍 and I'm taking requests so if you have any ideas or concepts you want to share, feel free to do so as I'll try to get to them the best I can!
my masterlist
Tw: mentions reader's insecurities about herself and about her relationship with Lando, curse words, bloodwork
Tag list: @myloverjk-blog @hiireadstuff @c-losur3
Part 1
The past couple of days were strange. Lando still sent you his usual good morning and good night texts he would send whenever you didn't spend the night together, and you replied. Still, because of your schedule and his schedule, the text for the dreaded conversation came through only this morning
From Lan
Needed to get my bloods done and then Jon also needed a physical assessment so this morning was a rush, but I'm free for the rest of the day if you want to talk, lovie
To Lan
I'll be home for the whole day, you can come here whenever it's best for you!
Tidying the place up a bit, the thoughts on your head kept the same train of ideas. You didn't fit his lifestyle, and the constant doubts you felt were certainly not the way you wanted to go about your life.
There was a knock on the door when you were fluffing the pillows and you walked up to open it, see Lando with somewhat dark circles under his eyes and a bunch of your favourite flowers, "Come in", you said softly as you both headed to the living room, sitting down since you didn't know what else to do.
"Thank you for texting, there was this part of me that didn't believe you would", you admitted. This was the time to be honest, still remaining polite and aware of the words leaving your mouth.
"Of course I did, Y/N, I want us to talk this out, I want us out of this rough patch", Lando pleaded softly, "I'm so sorry for not noticing you were feeling like this", he offered, cutting through the silence when you seemed to not know what to say to kick-start the conversation.
"It's not your fault, Lando", you spoke the truth, "you have been on my mind every conscious second, every thought is about this and I- I really don't know how we will do this, how we will do that", you pointed to him in allusion to the goal he had, "I'm sorry".
Lando gulped, rubbing his hands on his thighs before speakingup, "I did too, and I want you to know I just want you to be happy, fuck, there's nothing I want more in life than to see you happy, and right now it pains me that I am the one that's making you hurt", he let his heart out.
"It's not only your fault", you whispered again, this time looking at him. Your insecurities were just that - your own - and you were responsible from how certain triggers made you feel and react, "I have to be the one to know how to deal with these".
"And I want to help you, lovie, you don't have to do this all alone all the time", Lando offered, "I want us to work and this is a conjoined effort - you shouldn't be doing that alone".
Silence filled the room as the gears turned in your head before you looked up again, seeing the broken look on Lando's face, "Do you think we should take a break? Spend some time away from eachother?", you voiced.
Lando didn't expect the option you suggested. Spending time further apart didn't seem like the right thing to do when you were obviously feeling like you didn't fit in and belong in his life, "are you sure that's the way to go? We'll do what you feel the most comfortable and happy with, but I don't want you to feel like I want you away or that you have to keep away from me - I want you with me for as much time as you can give me".
"It's silly, I know - I've never done this before, I don't know what to do", you shrugged your shoulders. Usually, by the time any insecurities shone through, your past partners had already left.
Lando sighed, "If that is what you think is going to help I'm all in, Y/N. I'll do anything to prove to you that I'm serious about this, but I'm giving up on us, I'm going to fight for you", Lando stated as tears started forming in his eyes, keeping them at bay because this wasn't the end. It couldn't be.
"I'm going to show you just how much you belong with me and how well we fit together, okay?", he checked with you, seeing a small nod, the uncertainty behind it only fueling him to put all his efforts into it.
.
"I wanted to do something we haven't done in a while", Lando said over the phone as he packed the tupperwares into the basket.
"Yes? And what would that be?", you asked. Lando kept a respectful distance but he made sure that everyday that you didn't spend together, you knew he was thinking about you and doing all these little things to remind you of how much he loved you and how you were meant to be together.
"I'm not going to tell you because it's a surprise, but I need to warn you to bring comfortable shoes, and as much as I love your little dresses, anything without a skirt would be better", you heard him smile.
"Okay, anywhere I should go to?", you wondered, "I'll pick you up in about thirty minutes if that's okay?", he quesioned, getting a positive answer from you, "see you soon, beautiful girl, I love you!".
Lando finished packing the picnic basket, getting the napkins and the drinks from the fridge so he could go to his bedroom and get ready.
He planned a fun afternoon, starting with a cycle around the city before finishing with a picnic in the park as he knew it was one of your favourite things. He had come up with many of your favourite plans to do together lately and he was feeling good about it. There was nothing he wanted more than to show you that you fit together and that both of your lives could compliment eachother if you both made adjustments. He was going out less than he used to and favouring to spend that time with you, he made sure you knew he was there and that he wasn't planning on leaving.
Finding a t-shirt and some jeans, he got two buckets hats from the new Quadrant Spring collection they would be launching soon and got ready to leave the apartment.
The drive to your wasn't long, but he never knew with the after lunch traffic, finding a good spot for his car and seeing you already at the entrance of the building, checking the street before crossing it, "hey, Lan", you smiled as you got inside the vehicle, kissing his cheek softly as he drove out of the spot once you had your seatbelt on, "hey, baby, how has your day been?".
"It's good, better now that I'm getting out of the house with some very nice company", you smiled.
The park wasn't too far, and when Lando parked near the rental city bikes with a smirk on his face, you knew what he wanted to do for the afternoon, "we're cycling?", you beamed.
"Yes! I also have some snacks here for a picnic later", Lando got the basket from the cartrunk, carrying it to the bike and making sure it was safely attached to it, scanning the code for his bike and then yours.
"Wait", he said as you were making sure the seat was at the right height, cycling around the area. Fishing out the bucket hat from the basket, he shook it a little so it would have a nice shape before putting it on your head, kissing your lips softly as he looked at you, "these are new and I needed my prettiest model to try them on first", he charmed as you blushed, "plus, I don't want the sun to blind you or burn you".
You cycled around your favourite spots in town, Lando occasionally taking pictures of the city and you with his camera and waving at the odd person who noticed and recognised it was him and you on the bikes, before you returned to the park, deciding to cycle to your favourite spot by the old big trees, blossoming from the spring sun.
"Thank you for this", you mumbled as you wiped your lips free of crumbs from the cake you had.
"Y/N, I won't stop fighting for us when we have something worth fighting for", he smiled, pulling you to lay on the blanket with him and holding your hands between your bodies, "I also got this really cool invite for the new exhibition at the museum - that one you wanted to see - and you want to know why it is so cool? Because we get the exhibition all to ourselves, no one else is going to be there which means you can take as long as you want and I can admire you all to myself and all I want too", he kissed your cheek.
"Sounds like a nice plan, thank you", you kissed his jaw.
.
You scanned your paddock pass as walked in the directions you were giving, not wanting to mess up the schedule and the lined up events everyone had.
They had been experimenting with new events to promote motorsport, adding parties and sunset events to the race weekend on order to gather all of the sponsors, famous people and fans who were interested in seeing the behind the scenes of a luxurious and extravagant race weekend.
"Everyone who still doesn't have a bracelet can come through here, please", one of the women in black suits called as you stood in that line, waiting for you turn.
"Here you go, enjoy the party!", she smiled, letting you go through and carrying on with her tasks.
The section involving the paddock, pitlane and the starting grid decorated with lights over bars serving drinks while staff went around with trays with small canapés.
You supposed this did work or they wouldn't try it out, after all it was an expensive sport and the more investors and sponsors they got, the better, so every little interaction and publicity was welcomed. You recognised a lot for the faces from Instagram and other social media platforms, along with some of the sponsors you had spent races sitting next to in the garage.
The face you wanted to see the most was nowhere in sight as you saw Oscar and Zak in the distance, talking to someone you recognised being one of their sponsors.
When you stepped closer to the area where most drivers seemed to be hanging out, you spotted Lando and he spotted you.
It had been nearly a year since you called it quits. It wasn't working for you and no matter how much Lando tried and fought for your relationship, you still didn't feel comfortable and thought you'd be better without eachother. It wasn't easy and to this day it would probably be one of your biggest regrets.
Maybe today you'd get to ease that heavy feeling in your chest.
Lando knew a lot of people would be there tonight, but your face wasn't one he expected. Last thing he heard about you was that you had made a small career switch and started working with another company, so he figured you were probably invited through one of the people with deep pockets wanting to invest in motorsport, knowing how it always looks nice on the company to invite employees to these fixtures.
As he saw his father and Max walk up to where you were, he walked in your direction, hoping to divert them so they wouldn't see you, another person pulled him with him to the side for a photo and it became impossible for him to not notice you and the other way around.
“It’s been… It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?”, you spoke up when you locked eyes and stood close enough to eachother.
"Yes, it has", Lando stated, "how have you been?", he wondered.
"I've been okay, and I see you have been doing well too - the car looks great this year", you congratulated, "I've been meaning to text you because I wanted to talk", you tried.
It took you some time to work on your insecurities, to learn to feel uncomfortable in some situations and get yourself out of them, and now you felt ready to begin again, feeling comfortable in your own skin.
"What did you want to tell me? You can tell me here", he stated coldly.
To say you broke his heart would be an understatement.
Despite all of his efforts, stopping DJ'ing, being conscious of who he hung out with, making sure he spent as much time with you as he could, you still raised concerns about how you were like oil and water.
Not made to be together.
"This really isn't the best place", you looked around as he pulled you inside the McLaren garage that was just on the side, exchanging a look with the security guard that was making sure no one broke in without permission.
"Is it good here now?", he offered.
"It will have to do", you smiled, "I'm sorry things didn't work out before - I wasn't in a good place and things weren't working out the way I'd like", you offered, "and I feel better now".
"Let me stop you right there before this gets out of hand and I hurt you, because I have never wanted that and I don't want it now", Lando said sternly, catching you off guard, "making peace with the fact that we weren't going to work out together was one of the hardest things I've done - I was miserable, didn't enjoy racing or anything that I was doing because I didn't have you by my side - you left me when I needed you", he poured his heart out.
He didn't shout and he didn't yell, but every word stung. Both from how true they were and how he had hurt because of you.
"I'm sorry, Lando, I wasn't trying to diminish how you felt then", you clarified.
"I know you didn't, but this isn't how it works, fuck", he rubbed his temple, "You don’t get to just waltz back into my life and think that I’d be okay with it - I waited so long for you, and I wanted to wait longer if you had let me, but now I can't do that, not anymore", he stated firmly.
"Are you saying we don't have another chance?", you asked as your bottom lip wobbled, "I promise I'll be more open about how I feel, and second guessing wo-".
“You were it at one point, you know?”, Lando shook his head as he looked at his feet before looking up back at you, "my parents, Max, Carlos - everyone agreed with me when I said you were my endgame", he offered.
There had been a time where he wished for this. For you to come to him and tell him you wanted him back and how it had all been a mistake. Now that he was hearing it, he realised he didn't want it, not anymore.

bye bye baby ☆ dr3
genre: angst
word count: 2.5k
inspired by this !
cherry here!... the req was to write about danny boy, but the concept of this was that i was feeling very dramatic, per usual, duh. wrote this today since i’ve had bye bye baby stuck on REPEAT. 2 posts in 1 day, YIKES. enjoy! :)
The ups and downs that take place in your relationship once Daniel is left without an F1 seat.
Tumblr media
“What do you mean you’re out?”
Furiously, Daniel unzips his fireproofs as he ties the sleeves around his waist. Rummaging through his duffel bag, he grows more and more impatient. Taking a cautious step forward, you hand him his water bottle. “Thanks,” he lowly mutters as he takes a long sip. He shakes his head as he looks blankly towards the white wall. “They want someone younger. More talented.”
“But you’re talented, Daniel! You’re better than anyone here!”
Letting out a weak smile, he angles himself lower to hug you before pulling away and brushing your hair behind your ear. “No, I don’t think I am anymore.”
That was 2 months ago when news came out that your boyfriend would no longer be driving for McLaren. It was a complete shock, considering everyone loved the bubbly Australian, but it honestly didn’t hurt anyone more than it did you. Often, he would remind you that he was the one left without a seat and that you should be glad you would both have some time to disconnect and be together.
Shaking your head as you munch grumpily on a stack of pancakes, you say, “I love that you’re around - of course I do - but what they did to you was completely unfair. Who in their right mind expects good results for a shit car? That’s their fault, not yours.”
Walking around the kitchen island, he lets out a smile. “Relax, baby. I get it. You don’t want me around.” Narrowing your eyes, you fling a pair of gloves at his chest - from his recent addiction to dirtbiking. Don’t even, you warn. He lets out a sigh as he opens his mouth for you to pop in a bite. Digging your fork on a piece of pancake, you raise your arm up to feed him. He hums at the taste. “I was kidding, but seriously - it’s okay. I’ll get over it. You should, too.”
As much as he said he was doing fine, you knew something wasn’t right. He was hurt; felt betrayed and it did him no good to keep rejecting his feelings. But you didn’t bring up the topic anymore. You knew he didn’t like the reminder of what once was.
-
Dirt crunches underneath your boots as you walk up to him and Scotty. The Australians are hunched over, trying their best to fix their bikes as they share a bottle of cheap beer underneath the blazing sun. The 29 year old spots you first as he squints his blue eyes at you. You’re up early. You flip him off as you pretend to kick a pile of dirt at him. He comedically raises his arms as he wiggles his brows. “Chloe is looking for you. I think she’s gonna beat your ass.”
He quickly stands up as he blows a deep breath directly to your boyfriend's face. You cringe. They share a quick look before Daniel shoots a thumbs up. “You’re good.” Thanking him, Scotty rushes past you as he hands you his left over beer. Making your way over to the brunette, you take a seat next to him as you spill the remaining dark liquid.
“Isn’t it too early to be drinking?”
“Isn’t it too early to be looking so beautiful?”
You muster a glare. “Don’t change the subject, Daniel.” Avoiding eye contact, he just keeps his tired gaze entertained on an Acacia tree. Bringing the bottle up to his lips, he lets out a low whistle. It’s hot. A cold beer helps. “Right,” you mumble as you flicker your own eyes towards the green tree. You can still spot it - your initials and his engraved. He had done it one evening when he and Scotty had one, too many drinks. He had stumbled all the way to you just to drag you and show you. Because I love you. Even when I’m drunk, I love you like crazy.
“Trees getting old. Might be time to cut it down.”
You flinch at his words. “Can I have a sip?” He raises his brows as he hands you the bottle. You just had one, he tries to joke as he watches the way you chug it down. Drying your lips, you crane your neck to look up at the blue sky. “You never minded sharing before.” He can distinguish the way your voice sounds - as if you’re upset over something he might’ve said - but he knows he hasn’t done anything wrong. Standing up, you hand him back the glass bottle.
“Cut the tree. I don’t care.”
-
“And to my beautiful girlfriend - you’re everything to me and I love you. Without a doubt, the best birthday present I could ever ask for.” Raising his Coca-Cola can, the brown eyed boy sends you a wink with a bright smile plastered across his face. A face you’ve grown to recognize. The one you love.
Making his way over to you, he throws his arms over your shoulders as he rocks you side to side. You smile against his chest. “How does it feel to be 34? Do you have bad knees already?” He lets out a toothy grin as he slaps your ass. “It’s just a question!”
“My knees are fine. As long as I can still kneel down in front of you - that’s all that matters, no?”
You blush at his words as you jokingly push him away. This only makes him cling onto you harder. Squinting your eyes up at him, you trace heart shapes against his biceps. You sincerely feel the happiest you’ve felt in ages. This is the Daniel you knew like the back of your hand. “I was thinking maybe we can take a trip. Anywhere, really. To celebrate-”
“My birthday?” He beams. “This is why you’re the sweetest girlfriend in the entire world!” No problem, you shyly respond as you pinch his t-shirt in between your fingers. Kissing you one last time, he excuses himself to go welcome some late-comers. Chole zig zags her way over to you as she gives you a side hug.
“How’d it go?”
You sigh. “He forgot. He completely forgot. I don’t think I can entirely blame him - I mean it is his birthday.” The fact that you have to defend him makes the blonde furrow her dark brows. Shaking her head, she hands you a slice of chocolate cake.
“Never in a million years did your guys’ anniversary slip his mind. What a dick.”
But you’re not even listening. You’re too flabbergasted that he cut his cake without you being there with him.
-
Whether it was a trip to Vermont for his birthday or your anniversary, it didn’t really matter because you loved every second. It’s almost like he needed this break. To do something different that didn’t feel like a forced routine. You went hiking, apple picking, to a million bars that only served barbeque ribs - and you never felt more at peace.
Handing you a bouquet of flowers, he kneels down in front of you. You roll your eyes as you take the colorful peonies from him - though inside you were shaking like a 17 year old getting her first glimpse of love. “What’s this for?” He shrugs as he takes a seat next to you.
“Just because.”
Those were your favorite types of flowers. Intertwining his fingers with yours, you both continue chatting about anything and everything that crossed your mind. As you both pass by a peach tree, he lets go of your hand as he brings up his camera with sudden determination. Stand right there, baby.
Trying to express your happiness as best as you can, you hug your gift close to your face as you smile so wide, your eyes nearly shut.
“You’re mind blowing,” he murmurs as he snaps the picture. He takes a moment to admire you as you jog over to him. Show me! He clicks his tongue. “It’s digital. You’re gonna have to wait.” You pout as you pinch his cheek. Bringing your hand up to his mouth, he presses warm kisses.
“I have something to tell you.” Your heart stops; suddenly filled with nervousness as he smiles with giddiness. What is it? “I’m going to be driving again! I mean it completely sucks for Nyck, but I’m just so happy to get back into an F1 car.”
“Nyck? As in the Alpha Tauri driver?”
He nods. “I got the call last month - a few days after my birthday. Best present ever.” Once again, his words cut you deep without him even noticing. Nevertheless, you force a tight smile.
“I’m so happy for you, Danny. You’re finally getting what you’ve wanted for so long.”
-
When you both get back to Australia, it surprises you a bit how normal things have stayed. He’s smiling more - if that was even possible - he’s laughing louder, too. Roaming the house, you rub your eyes from sleepiness. Scotty and Chloe share a laugh when they spot you. “And Sleeping Beauty has finally woken. I didn’t think that was possible.” Chloe smacks his chest as she sends you a wink.
“Humor me, why don’t you?” Your gaze flickers across the living room. “Where’s Danny?”
“Outside.”
Sliding the door open, you step out as you try your best to adjust your eyesight to the bright sun. As soon as it does, your stomach drops. You run up to the brunette as you pull the ax from him.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
Startled, he jumps up as he takes his earphones out. “Holy shit. You scared me, don’t do that!” Tears fill your eyes as you analyze the chopped tree. You’re no expert, but even you can tell that there’s no going back. The only result that comes out of this would be for the tree to fall down. Rushing over to you, he checks you everywhere to make sure you weren’t hurt. You brush him off.
“Why would you do this?”
He cocks his head to the side, brown eyes filled with confusion. “I’m so lost, what did I do?” Anger bubbles up inside of you as you force yourself to not yell at him. “You’re okay, so why are you crying? Oh no. Did Scotty wake you up again? I told him not to do that anymore!”
“I’m done.” You wipe your tears as you let out a bitter laugh. “I am so done.”
“What do you mean you’re done?”
“I’m saying I give up! Fuck, I give up. That’s it. You win. I just - can’t.”
He tries to take a step closer but you only distance yourself twice as much. “You’re scaring me. What’s wrong?”
“I’ve tried so hard to understand you, I really did, but I’m just as tired as you are. I tried to ease your pain when McLaren let you go, but you kept pushing me away. I tried to be there for you on days you felt like nothing, but to me you were always everything. I tried to not let you see how much it hurt me when you forgot our 5 year anniversary. I tried to not act like it bothered me when you cut the cake I spent hours baking for you, without me. I tried to not act surprised when I found out you kept the news from me about you returning to F1 for one fucking month. But I can’t try and pretend that you cutting down this tree hasn’t broken my heart.”
“It’s just a stupid, old tree-”
“I don’t think you understand! It may be old and it sure as hell could be stupid, but it was ours.” You grab his hand harshly as you drag him to the other side of the tree. His eyes grow wide. I didn’t remember - I swear I forgot that was even there! You let out a wet laugh as you toss your hair over your shoulder. “You’re hurting me, Daniel. Can’t you see?”
“You’re the one who said I should cut it down. You can’t seriously just be blaming me.”
“And who came up with the idea first?”
He lowers his gaze as he runs his left hand against his clenched jaw. “I’m sorry.” He connects his desperate eyes to your glossy ones. “But don’t say all those things, please. You’re right. I’ve been an awful boyfriend, but no one understands me better than you.” Placing his hands on either side of your face, he lets out soft pants. “You’re everything to me, how could you have possibly felt that way? I love you.”
“Love me like what?” He furrows his brows as he searches for an answer. You scrunch your nose as you push his hands down. “I thought you loved me like crazy.” His stomach churns. “Listen, I love you, Daniel. I love you so fucking much, but even I can see that I’m not you’re happiness anymore. Not the way I used to be, at least. You have other priorities; other plans-”
“No, you’re my priority. You always have been.”
“Except I haven’t. For a moment, you went radio silent. It was a one-sided relationship, but I loved you so much that I stayed. I pushed past it. Then - one random day - your shine came back. You were insanely happy and I thought-” You shut your eyes. You can feel your salty tears trickle down your face. “I thought it was because of me. Now I realize, it hasn’t been about me for a while now. It’s so obvious that the only reason you were cheerful once again was because you got what you wanted. You got a seat.”
“You’re wrong-”
“I’m not.” You let out a shaky breath as you bite down on your lip; a weak attempt to not out loud sobs. “I would have gladly taken part in your pain, but you never let me join you. You never let me get close enough to help you out.” Making your way up to him slowly, you tippy toe as you lean in for a kiss. What hurts the most is that all of a sudden - he’s kissing you the exact same way he did when he first told you that he loved you. He was giving it his all. Pulling away, you let out a low whimper as you feel your chin tremble. Your smile wobbles. “Can’t force something that’s not there anymore, can you?”
Taking him in one last time, you rub his forearm as you gently pat it before you walk away. Daniel feels paralyzed as he watches you go. He’s expecting you to turn around at least one last time and he’s expecting his body to let him run after you, but neither of those things happen.
Hesitantly, Chloe and Scotty make their way to their frozen friend. They had heard the fight, but decided it was best to not intervene.
“She left.”
The couple share a concerned look as they take in the weak tree that was clearly about to fall at any moment. Chloe sighs as she walks away, making a beeline to find you. Though, she knows you better than anyone. You weren’t going to return. And she completely understood.
Scotty takes a step back as he shakes his head in disbelief.
“She fucking loved that tree.”

Fandom: MCU Characters/Pairings: Namor x female!Reader Word Count: 2.3k
Summary: Diplomatic fraternization is never easy and situations can turn on a dime. When you accompany your father to negotiate future ties between your two underwater kingdoms, one mistake changes everything.
Content Warnings: SMUT, thigh riding
Additional Notes: Before this week it had never even as a WHIM come across my radar to write anything Namor. But two-almost-three-days ago @artsynellyyy shared a ridiculously gorgeous unfinished piece of art she was working on, asked for some input, and it spurred a plot concept that just GRIPPED my brain and had me feeling THINGS. I don’t think I will be writing a lot of Namor, but I do know there’s certainly a part two to this because…there’s more story for these two in my head. There’s a particular moment that exists for them that as this developed, I knew could not happen yet for them, it would’ve been too rushed. So… just… Happy fourth installment of the 2022 Holiday Extravaganza!
A/N 2: Be gentle! This is my first attempt at Namor. I did some canon diving and research, but I did not dive deep into the Namor fandom because I didn’t want to get too influenced about established patterns or too intimidated about what’s already out there. Honestly kind of terrified to publish this one, so just... jumping out of the airplane and pulling the parachute okay bye.

“Let us speak without pretense,” the king of Talokan’s voice resonates powerfully through the throne room. “Tell me why you sought private audience with me today, Hamal.”
Standing at the right hand of your father, you observe the way he draws his shoulders up just a fraction more, the way his nostrils flare just before he speaks again. “Fine, I will speak plainly, Namor. Your recent dealings with the surface, particularly with the kingdom of Wakanda, is concerning to the kingdom of Fourchon.”
“Why should it concern you?” Namor patiently humors the conversation further, but you can read that the patience is wearing thin.
“King to king, I find it concerning because it calls into question whether we are moving into a state of volatility for all who dwell in the oceans, and I have no wish to see my people drawn into hostilities or war of any kind.”
“And you are here to ensure continued peace between our nations?”
“I am.”
Your heart isn’t racing, but the beats thrum more swiftly against your chest as you will this to go well.
“And what do you propose, Hamal? What does the kingdom of Fourchon possibly have to offer Talokan?”
There’s a moment of silence that hangs between the two rulers, then your father answers, “Her.”
Every muscle in your body seizes with dread, your heart skipping a beat. Your eyes widen, but every bit of diplomatic rearing mercifully allows you to keep your mouth from dropping open in complete shock.
“My daughter.”
You cannot look at either king, looking straight ahead to keep your composure, but you register the sharp change in Namor’s voice. “Fourchon is neither enemy nor ally to Talokan, and yet you come to my court with the arrogance of demanding peace between our countries when for more than three hundred years there has been nary a quarrel. Indeed, your small kingdom has meant nothing to me, an inconsequential player amongst underwater realms. We have maintained social civility only because you were not worth any more or less to me.
He pauses, and you can feel the tension rolling in waves off your father.
“Your offer is horrible, but I will give you what you came here to bargain and secure today for the sake of your people, despite the prideful blunder of their king. Now leave.”
You are desperate to acquiesce to Namor’s command after the humiliation of being offered first as a trinket or some form of tribute and then receiving by association a political rebuke, and you turn immediately to depart with your father.
“Not you, Princess,” his voice halts you.
You watch your father leave; he doesn’t look back at you or Namor.
“Come here,” the king of Talokan says.
You turn back to face him, squaring your shoulders and looking straight at him as you approach. Your father had asked for a private audience, and you are grateful for that as no one else saw the disaster that just took place.
He regards you openly. You focus on breathing evenly when all you want to do is flee from this room and let your emotions rage. When his gaze meets yours again, he tilts his chin and narrows his eyes ever so slightly.
“Do you not kneel for your king?”
Heat rushes from your chest up to flood your cheeks, and your throat feels thick with anger, but you manage to speak. “You are not my king.”
“Did I not accept the terms offered?”
“An offer you called horrible,” you say as you sink to your knees and bow your head as is customary.
“The offer, not you.”
Your head snaps back up at these words.
“And the offer was horrible in relation to you, not me.”
Your brow furrows in question.
“When your father made the overtures for this meeting, I asked my ambassador to share with me his outlook on your kingdom and your court.”
“You said we were inconsequential.”
“But an element that still exists.”
He evaluated the full landscape. You were under no illusions that the kingdom of your birth was small in comparison to Talokan or Atlantis, but  he was a ruler who wasn’t fool enough discount the smaller players.
“My ambassador said,” he continues, “that your people love and respect you and that it is a loss to Fourchon that you were both second-born and a daughter of the throne instead of a son.”
Resentment spreads through your veins at these words. You’d fought the unrest of what you would not be able to do while also feeling confident in your brother’s ability to rule, that he’d proven himself worthy of his birthright.
“He said you were your father’s favorite.”
You had thought that, too. And yet… “How easily he would bargain me away would say otherwise.”
“It was clear you had no indication of his intent.”
A bitter laugh escapes your throat. “Truly. I thought he valued my presence, my counsel, even perhaps my help in diplomatic relations, but I was only a pawn.”
“No.”
You narrow your eyes and cock your head to the side.
“I think you are wrong. Stand, Princess.”
You rise slowly, with as much grace as you can.
He moves from the throne, stepping over the jaw that frames his seat of power, and moves down the steps toward you.
“In future you kneel for only me, no one else.”
You remain in your place as he slowly circles you.
“I did lecture your father for his arrogance on an improper read on the state of affairs, assuming Talokan would turn on Fourchon. However, as a king, I do not fault him for caring for the welfare of his people, or for overestimating the value of his kingdom,” he states, his voice warming with this admission. He comes to a stop in front of you. “And to negotiate safety and peace for his people?” He raises his right hand and draws his fingers down reverently along your jaw. “He offers you, his greatest treasure. He insinuates you are worth more than an entire kingdom.”
You open then close your mouth, unsure how to respond to this interpretation. Your eyes search his, but all you can see there is a resoluteness that he truly means what he’s just said. It’s disarming, and with the way your world fell out from under you only minutes ago, you’re unsure of what to trust now.
Namor radiates confidence, it rolls easily off him in waves, but when he takes a step closer, you can feel the heat of him. His fingers move over your shoulder and down the length of your arm, and you shiver but keep holding his gaze. Your instincts tell you that every moment in this room has been significant, it’s determining your future, every movement, every word, every observation.
He takes half a step closer, only a whisper of space between you now, and you hold your ground. He almost smiles, then he turns away, seizing your hand and leading you up the stairs of the dais, and you quickly lift your skirts so you can ascend quickly behind him. Up close you can admire the artistry of the jaw that encases his throne. Like him, it’s charming, beautiful, and dangerous, each intricate designs carved into the bone, and the teeth replaced with jade stones.
“Your father was right to anticipate a shift in my rule.”
“Oh?”
“I’ve been king of Talokan for centuries, but my dealings with Wakanda have me considering eventualities of the future.”
Namor takes steps over the jaw, then draws you carefully in with him, still holding your hand as you step over the mighty frame, before finally releasing it. He turns back to look out over the throne room and further the drop off to look out over the kingdom of Talokan, but angles himself slightly toward you as well, and you mirror him. It’s a breathtaking view, and you imagine it is an altogether different manner of beauty with the court or an audience of people called to convene. But like this, still and quiet, it’s ethereal.
“You will be my queen.”
“That’s a bold declaration.”
“You’ve been offered to me in exchange for a promise of peace for your people, would you renege?”
You close your eyes briefly but square your shoulders and shake your head.
“Now you can choose your course in this.”
“Enlighten me,” you can’t hold back, though you do manage to keep your voice even.
There’s a flicker of something in his eyes, but he’s speaking again before you can decipher it. “If I’m to have an heir, to secure the future, ensure stability for my people, I need a queen; but whether you merely bear my child or become my consort is something I cannot determine for you. I would prefer the latter.”
In the next second, he’s pulled you to his side and captured your lips in a kiss that is altogether slow and searing. His arm winds around your waist, bringing you flush against him, and your hands move of their own volition to rest on either side of his neck. Heat runs through your veins, and you know without question he could consume you.
You break off the kiss, but he respectfully retreats. He takes a seat on the throne, and you see he’s as breathless as you are.
But you broke off the kiss to ask the question that will haunt you if you don’t ask it.
“You’re truly ready to bind me to your side, just like that? You don’t even know me.”
“This is not a marriage of convenience. This is a marriage of opportunity.”
“I’m not–“
He holds up a hand to silence you, but it’s not in impatience, you can see that in his face, and he immediately says, “I will grant you that we do not know each other yet, but I know enough to know who you are. I have the trusted insight of my ambassador, but I also have accounts from people who have served and interacted with you here in my own kingdom these past two days, and biologically prolonged life or not, a king also doesn’t keep his crown or the respect of his people for as long as I have without being able to judge those around him well. You were taken by surprise today, but you are not naïve. You came to my court to be of counsel, serve, influence. Why should that not still be your fate?”
“A foreign princess?”
He shakes his head and holds his hand out to you. “A queen consort.”
You search his face again. This was the moment. You could not read any falseness, arrogance, or cruelty. Indeed, though he was surprising you with this swift and forthright proposition, your intuition doesn’t question him or his intentions.
You take the hand he presented, and he pulls you forward, placing his hands on your hips once you are close enough and guiding you to sit astride one of his powerful thighs, the rich fabric of your dress sliding up your legs. You place your hands on his shoulders to steady yourself.
I want your mind, your body, and your soul,” he says, sealing it with your name, not your title.
“I want the same,” you say.
“You’re sure?”
“I need the same.” Being this close to him is both invigorating and steadying. The way he is looking at you, the way he is holding you, it’s also intimate and heated, and those feelings are amplified as he pulls you just a little closer.
“Then take what you need,” he commands in a tone that makes your heart soar and desire bloom in your stomach. He flexes his thigh against your core, and it spurs you to lean in and kiss him again, hungry for more.
He matches your eagerness. When his tongue seeks entrance, you open your lips, moaning. He begins rocking your hips back and forth over his thigh, and you know he can feel the heat and the wetness of the desire he’s stoked within you seeping through the silk of your underwear. As you take control of moving against him, his hands travel up your sides until he reaches your breasts, and his thumbs brush over the tender flesh. You both moan, him in approval, and you with pleasure. You’re swept away completely in all the sensations, in his passion, your body singing for him. He is a powerful force, one you will have to be sure to meet with your own spirit and fire so you aren’t lost. This union is for fulfilment for you both, not to be destroyed, diminished, or tossed away.
As you speed up, he drops one hand down to anchor on your hips, helping you grind down on his thigh. He keeps flexing it against you, and you whimper, head falling back.
“Keep going,” he growls against the column of your throat, kissing his way down to the sweet spot at the base of your neck. “I love the way your body is trembling; I can tell you’re so close.”
“Yes, Namor,” you keen.
“K’uk’ulkan,” he says, and your head snaps back up, eyes locking intensely with his.
“K’uk’ulkan,” you repeat – the invitation to use the more personal name drops the intimacy between you two to a deeper level.
You both move with a desperate frenzy now, you craving the release and him eager to give it to you, his lips searing every inch of the exposed skin available to him at your neck, collar bone, pulling at the neckline of your dress.
“So close,” you cry.
“Let go.”
And you do, tight coil of ecstasy peaking and releasing, you cling to him, and as your body begins to relax wish pleasure, you press your forehead to his, both of your eyes closed now, sealing the moment in your memory.
His hands are slowly running up and down your back. “Jach ma’alob,” he croons softly. “This is enough for now; there will be so much more, my queen.”

(Might not be as dark as you imagined, but I want to mix it with my preferences) You signed up for an experiment ran by a new hospital because you were strapped for cash and the experiment would reward you with loads amount of money. As you read the agreement, you noticed that the payment will only be transferred to you, and after the experiment is successful. You think nothing of it and signed it. You entered the hospital, was told to wear this specific outfit of the hospital robe and a set of bras, panties, and shorts with a material texture that you had never seen or felt before. You entered the waiting room, filled with around 5 other young women, just chatting around, befriending each other. You talked to them and another 2 women came in shortly after. Soon, the numbers are called, one-by-one. Everyone was anxious and curious what's the experiment is about. When the 2nd woman was called, the first woman hasn't came back yet, so you assumed she got transferred to the next room. When it was your turn, you were wheeled off into the medical room, suspiciously looking like a vaginal examination room... or a delivery room. They removed your robe, put you on restrain and was told to bite a piece of cloth and the staff came and injected your belly with mysterious fluid. Soon enough, your belly began to swell rapidly and within minutes, you were now overdue. You felt a rush of fluid coming out of you and then whatever it is that's inside you is coming down. You panic, but can only grunt and push the thing inside you out. You feel the burn and the shorts that are still intact, making it more difficult to get the offspring out. Almost 2 hours later, you were exhausted, but whatever it is that you pushed out of your body is out of you, lodged into your shorts, along with all of the fluids. "Impressive. She's the strongest candidate so far to be able to do it. But we'll need more testing. Bring in the next woman." The doctor said before you went unconscious.
Tumblr media
Honestly, this was a very interesting concept.
I love the idea of signing up for am experiment due to the fact I'm short on cash and not knowing what exactly the experiment is for. In a way I suppose you could connect it with medical impregnation or forced surrogacy. I'll admit, I'm not a fan of the clothing birth, I don't why it's just not something I have been interested in. I'd prefered to be naked or have what ever I'm wearing lifted up so that my large contracting belly is on display.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The restraints and belly expansion was a nice touch, I don't mind a little rapid pregnancy here and there. To watch in dismay as my belly slowly stretches with life, to know that I am powerless to prevent it from rounding and reaching full term. Fear gripping me as my belly button is pulled flat and then suddenly pops upwards, knowing that soon I'm going to be in labour. I love the fact that it's not revealed what I'm carrying, it could be human or alien or something else entirely.
The opening ending is so good, not know my fate but knowing that this won't be the first tie my belly swells with life.

What MHA's lacks: world building part 2
I have already talked about this topic before but I mainly focused on the world building of Japan as a society itself .
Now I wanted to talk more about the MHA world building outside of Japan. When it comes to world building outside of Japan all we have are the MHA movies (which are somehow canon but the timeline for them makes no sense to me) and the whole interaction with star and stripes/USA.
Obviously we were gonna get a look into heroics and heroes outside of Japan after the war arc (it was inevitable especially with Japans need for foreign help) but I can't help to say that the little amount of world building outside of Japan that we got was lacking to say the least.
America or star and stripes. It was obvious that we would be getting heroes from around the world but I really hated how the idea of America and American heroes was something that was heavily sterytopical (maybe Iam thinking too deep into it 🤷‍♀️) but I don't like how star and stripes legit had her costume based on the American flag (I know it's supposed to be like all might). To me star and stripes felt like such a rushed plot point who is just the female version of all might that lacks all the character depth and wasted potential that all might has. The idea of America actually having a military is very interesting but it's never expanded on why or how they have a military. How is a military army any different than quirked heroes? We just saw them operate various airships and that's it for them 🤷‍♀️. I personally think we should of gotten an idea or at least a view as to why there is a military for example, America has a military and heroes whereas Japan uses heroes as soldiers and entertainers. Star and stripes should of been introduced way earlier in the series because she is the number one in USA and everything about her is heavily inspired by all might so we could of seen bits of her after all mights retirement and whatever relationship she had with all might because everything about that plot point of foreign American military and heroes was so vague and needed expanding.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I-island. I love the concept of i-island even if it's introduced just in a movie (I think it should of been a canon manga plot point), if you think about it having an island that focuses on the creation and progression of technology and it being like a very high tech island is a very interesting idea. What type of Industries are in i-island? The population is well off due to the island being very neutral in political ideals and is considered a place of education and technology. You could of had it to be an area that has a very low crime rate because everyone is open to the same opportunities and the small population makes it so that people are very connected to eachother. I-island could also be a place where heroes are sent to train and usually go to find a support company to work with.
Tumblr media
Other heroes. When it comes to the whole world of MHA there are a lot of heroes from many different places but I don't necessarily like their character design like is it only me who finds it weird that pro hero native (who is a Japanese citizen) has a hero costume that is of native Americans? Or when showing us a hero from Egypt their costume was a literal pharo?. I feel like horikoshi could of been more creative when it came to showing other heros form other parts of the world and their costumes. I am not totally against having heroes that share and represent parts of cultures but if it's done in a way where it's just them wearing a very sterytopical costume then what's the point ?!?!? Sure you can make a character who does wear a very sterytopical costume and profits off other peoples culture to show how hero society is messed up and actually critique something like that but we don't see that and I think that's wasted potential.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Political relations and political differences. Every country is bound to have a variety of different political relations and differences so this could be difficult to explore if you try and include every single place in the MHA world. However, the building up if the war arc and the aftermath we should of seen Japan's political relations with other countries. Did other countries offer aid in anyway? Did they send out something akin to peacekeepers to the field? Or something of the sort. Is there even a party or organisation that connects other countries together in a tien if crisis in MHA and did they refuse to help Japan because they feared AFO or something. I feel like this could of been an interesting plot point to explore but it's never mentioned best thing we get is one panel of a political saying something
Tumblr media
Transfer students. I think it was a fantastic plot point to have pony as a transfer students in the heroics course but I just wish we got more of her. For example where did she live? How was her life before she came to Japan? How does she feel about everything? How was it for her and her family when it came to the war in Japan? Or how did they deal with the parent conference when she is a transfer student? Surprisingly, pony has more potential as a character and more plot points to explore than a lot of 1 A character but we don't get much of what goes on with her.

BPP, am really really interested to read your thoughts on Seven!
*
Ask 2: Hey bpp, can i be honest?? Ive been checked out of the fandom but still keep track of any music releases. So i didnt know abt any rumors abt 7. Imagine me being kind of disappointed that it’s another english song from jk when i watched the mv😅 it feels like his most promoted songs since last year has been all eng song… idk i wanted & expted something diff… i didnt like l&r, dreamers and now 7… it’s back to back lol. Tbf i didnt like My You too and thats in korean. At least not enough to listen!again after the first listen.
Im happy that still with you is finally on spotify tho. I’ll still be waiting excited for his album whenever it comes out. Hopefully ill find something i like in it!!
**
[BPP Note: Both asks above were sent before my "I don't like it..." post. The asks posted below were sent afterwards.]
**
Ask 3:
Same here
All the hype didn't matched with the song
1. rest members songs had so much depth and substance to it while this was the cliche boy chasing a girl song. Like we always dont need deep songs but the quality could be so much better. This was like just another pop song.
I think I'll put this on same level as BAD DECISIONS. But for bad decisions, atleast the chorus was staying on my mind while for this nothing was catchy enough for us to humm. Just because it's JK it will get hype but otherwise it's so generic. I think I liked LEFT and RIGHT way better than Seven. Even the rap portion felt so unnecessary and boring.
2. MV was kinda nice because of the production but concept was too shallow, the stalking and chasing was so outdated. In my country we have like 9293928843837 MVs in this same concept that not many make the same theme songs again.
3. The choreography. We haven't seen the full version. But for tiktok they do the highlight portions if that's so mediocre idk how rest will be. It was again giving the same mediocre showing off choreography and for me backdancers ruined it with their awkward moves.
4. they wanted this song to be played everywhere around the world. But there was nothing catchy enough to attract gp or go viral on tiktok, even if we sped it up. The only way to make everyone listen is to shove it down their throat but doing payola. But idk if investing in payola is worthy for the song. I also doubt the longietivity, as for me it was boring after 2 listens. I'll rather listen Like Crazy or wildflower or closer 20 times than listening this once.
5. I HOPE he'll bring something fresh to the table for his album and don't involve this mediocre producers who uses the same formula and same superstar persona to make a song successful. He is so much talented to sing a song which is so rich in melody and lyrics. And he can produce way better songs by himself.
Prolly a 4/10 for me
*
Ask 4: troye sivan's rush (which also came out last night) is exactly what I wish Seven was. I don't mean that in a 'I expect the things JK to make to be gay' way just in the way it's a fun, very danceable, sexy summer song that doesn't pull its punches. Something about seven feels too run through a commercial sanitizer a few times, even with the explicit lyrics.
***
Hi Anon(s),
Jungkook likes to fuck.
Rather, Andrew Watt likes to fuck and thinks Jungkook can relate.
JK has been talking about wanting to show more mature and explicit sides of himself for a good long while now. So I’m glad he’s finally gotten to do that, confirming for us why he keeps getting noise complaints from his neighbours since the mattresses all over his apartment don't help.
BTS has made songs explicitly referring to sex before (though it's been mostly the rapline doing so). So it's nothing new but I guess it's cool JK gets to share with us that he too has sex.
The question I posed to my friends immediately after watching the MV is, “Do you know who's been doing A&R for BigHit since 2020? I really need to know who is doing A&R for BigHit in America because they’ve been doing an appalling job lately. I'm starting to wonder if it's an inside job cause this song is kinda ass.”
That was me ~11 hours ago.
I didn’t like the song.
I’ve streamed Seven about 20 times since then I think, took a break from the song for a few hours, watched his GMA performance, caught a few minutes of the Wlive, then listened to it again just before writing this post and…
I still don’t like it.
Jungkook did a good job on the song, Latto's verse wasn't terrible, and while the song itself isn’t bad… the song isn’t good either.
It’s painfully, and at this point it’s a pattern so I have to add, predictably, mediocre.
Reserving judgement for the album, but Anons, I agree with you for the most part. The suits at BigHit are trying but they are woefully out of touch with the reasons BTS blew up in the West in the first place. I don't even feel like spending any energy doing a review or even trying to explain what I mean. So I'll just ramble on for a bit but try to keep it brief.
---
I have to give BigHit some credit because I can see what they're going for here. Andrew Watt is a very celebrated producer in the US, he won the Grammy award for Producer of the Year in 2021, he's got A listers in his portfolio. So, he's not a cheap name to book and I can see why the suits at BigHit thought he's the genius to gift them a song clinically designed for American radio.
But that pandejo phoned it in. There isn't a lick of creativity to be found anywhere in all 3 minutes and five seconds.
It reminds me of VIBE by Jimin and Taeyang, as the closest analog to the vague dissatisfaction morphing into annoyance and then pragmatic rationalization I experienced in that same sequence when listening to it the first few times.
The song is disappointing because we've all heard it before. Too many times, and we're bored of it. We've heard JK sing this sort of song for years, as covers mostly. So on one hand, while I guess it's nice JK gets to have an American summer JB-reject pop tune of his own, it's not good enough to be the track that introduces him to the world as a solo artist.
It's fine for any white, blonde, blue-eyed heartthrob that can ride on a pretty face and implicit bias to rack up accolades, it's not good enough for Jungkook.
And BigHit needs to start using whatever leverage a US$10.6 billion market capitalization buys you in Hollywood, to insist for songs that are at least as good as the songs made by BTS members and produced by their in-house team. It's a waste of money and everybody's time to fly a battalion to LA just to record 2014's summer hit in 2023.
In my opinion.
Still With You > Stay Alive > My Time > Stay > Left & Right > My You > Dreamers > Seven
*
All that said, I can't ignore JK has a taste for songs like this, and it's not his fault the song is shit (he didn't write, compose or produce it), so technically he shouldn't be punished for it. And the song is made for radio, while it's not my personal taste a lot of people really like the song (one of my friends likes Seven the most out of all the BTS releases so far), and it will catch on with some support. So, ARMY will support it including me, just to a lesser degree than I've done so far. Fingers crossed JJK1 has something solid on it.

Your heart raced as nerves filled you. You smiled at your mother as she gave you a reassuring smile. Luna placed a bunch of flowers in your hands. She fixed your hair a little before giving you a big grin. You smiled back at her before slipping on your shoes and walking out of your room and down the hall. You blushed as the staff clapped and wished you the best.
You moved outside the palace to see your father waiting by your carriage. “Father.”
Harold gazed up at you and welled up. “Oh, my baby girl.” He walked up to you and smiled softly. “You look perfect. I can’t believe you’re getting married. I tried and tried to push you towards marriage, but I was rushing you. Knowing now you are marrying a man you love…makes me happy. I should have just left you to it.”
You hugged your father with one arm. “You were doing what you thought was best for me. I hold no anger towards you for anything. You listened to me and you accepted the man I love.”
“I tried my best.” He helped you into the carriage. “Levi asked for an open top because he wanted everyone to see how pretty you are, but it is cold with winter here. So, he left a thick white blanket for you.”
You sat down and hummed a laugh as you put the blanket around you. “That sounds just like him.”
“He deeply cares about you. I am suspicious of him, of the things he might have done.”
You smiled as Levi’s stories of what he’d done came to mind. “He’s a good man and his intentions are always good. He has me at the front of all his choices.”
Harold smiled as he helped your mother and Luna into the carriage. “Well, I do hope he thinks about his kingdom too.”
“You know he does.”
Tia playfully smacked Harold in the chest. “Give the lad a break. You’ve been on his ass since the moment you met him. He’s going to be your son-in-law. You’ve seen how he looks at our daughter. He thinks the world of her.”
Luna nodded. “My lady is right. The Prince cares very deeply for my lady.”
Harold huffed. “I know, I know. I can’t help myself.” He sighed and smiled at you. “At least you know what choices not to make when you’re a mother. Are you aiming for one?” He frowned when Luna and Tia giggled. “What?”
Tia patted Harold’s shoulder. “You need to get to know your son-in-law more. He really wants a lot of children.”
Harold gazed at you. “But it puts such a strain on her body.”
You hummed a laugh. “I know. We’ve talked about it. Levi wants many, but he also understands the toil my body will go through. I told him I would like more than one, but we’ll see how I feel after my first one. What I know is, he said he’ll love me no matter what. To him, me and my body will always be perfect. He makes me feel beautiful and confident. I’m looking forward to marrying him.”
Luna smiled brightly. “You’ll be the perfect Queen.”
You blushed. “Queen?”
She nodded. “Didn’t his highness tell you? Today you’ll marry and then right after he’ll be crowned King. He said he’s doing it because he wants you to be a Queen as soon as possible.”
“Wow, I wasn’t expecting this today. I’m glad I wore such a lovely wedding dress.” You perked up when you saw people waiting for you and lining the streets. You waved to the cheering fans. “Levi’s done so much good that royals aren’t hated. He’s made such wonderful changes, though I know that there will always be people against a royal family. I don’t blame them.”
Luna rubbed your back. “Look ahead.”
You gazed at the city hall to see Levi waiting outside in a white suit. You blushed hard as your heart skipped a beat. You’d only ever seen Levi in black, so to see him in white was so different and beautiful. You smiled softly as he talked to his people and even crouched to talk to a little kid. Your cheeks burned when Levi noticed you moving closer.
Levi walked down the steps a little as everything around him faded away. He only saw you. He reached out for you with a gentle smile. “You look ravishing.”
You took his hand and stepped out of the carriage. “Thank you. You look incredible. Who knew you looked so good in white.”
He pulled you against him. “Should I stop wearing black?”
You shook your head. “No, I love you in black.” You hummed a laugh as you walked up the steps. “You wear it so well.”
“Thank you. So, we’ll view this as a treat then, huh?”
You nodded. “Yes. Like me wearing white.”
Levi shook his head. “No, I want you to wear white again. You look magical in it.”
“You’re very kind, but I can’t wear white all the time.”
He led you inside and smiled. “You can try, for me?”
You snorted a laugh. “Maybe. You do know white is supposed to represent purity, right? Well, I’m far from it.”
“I wonder who is to blame.”
You smirked a little. “I wonder too.”
“Wasn’t me.”
You chuckled. “Sure, sure.”
He kissed the back of your hand and led you to the law official. “Ready to get married and become Queen?”
You blushed. “I’m ready for marriage, but I don’t know about being a Queen.”
“You’ll be perfect.”
“Thank you.” You turned to the officiant and let them talk. You leaned over and whispered to Levi. “May I say, your ass looks delicious in those trousers.”
Levi shivered a little. “Thank you.” He leaned closer and whispered against your ear. “Your breasts are almost falling out of your dress. They look so plump and delicious. I just want to bite and suck on them.”
You turned your head and gazed at Levi. “I wish you would.”
Levi kissed you and moaned against your lips. “I will.”
The officiant laughed. “You beat me to it. I was just about to say you may kiss.”
“Sorry, we get carried away sometimes.”
“It’s all right. Sign here please.”
You signed first and handed the pen to Levi. “Mrs Ackerman.”
Levi smiled as he signed his name. “You are now a princess, but not for long.”
The officiant bowed to you both. “Congratulations. Next, we’ll swear you both in. Are you ready to face your people and be crowned?”
“I am.” He gazed at you. “Are you?”
You held Levi’s hand tightly and smiled softly. “Yeah.”
Levi followed the officiant outside and let him speak for a moment to the people. “I’m nervous.”
You gazed at Levi. “You are?”
Levi nodded and looked down at you. “But I feel better with you by my side.”
“I’m glad. You’re never going to be alone. No matter what comes our way, I will be right by your side.”
He kissed you and smiled as the crowd cheered. “Thank you.” He turned and stepped forwards as he was asked if he would uphold the laws and care for his people. “I swear on my life, I will serve, care for and honour my people.” He lowered to one knee and accepted his crown. He rose to the cheers of his people. He took your crown and turn to you. “Do you swear, as my Queen, to stand at my side, care for the people, the country and serve with a loving heart?”
You lowered to one knee. “I swear on my life that I will serve, care and honour the people of Paradis with all my heart and soul.”
Levi placed the crown on your head. “Rise, my Queen.”
You took Levi’s hand and stood up. “Thank you.”
The officiant opened his arms. “Now presenting your King and Queen of Paradis! Long may they reign!”
Levi pulled you close as the crowd cheered for you both. He bent you back and kissed you with a happy moan. “My Queen.”
You blushed a little as you stood next to Levi and waved to the people. “This is so strange. I never thought I would end up here.”
“You belong with me.”
You gazed at Levi to see that half of that declaration was his love talking and the other half was his obsessive side. “You belong to me.”
Levi’s cheeks burned bright red at the reversal on him. “A-Ah…umm…y-yes.”
You hummed a little laugh. “I’m only treating you the way you treat me.”
He mumbled a little. “Feels and sounds good.”
You winked at him before descending the stairs. “Let’s get to our party.”
He smiled. “I hope the people like what we’ve planned.”
You nodded and walked through the streets to the city centre with stalls set up, along with food, music and party things. “This all for the people?”
“Paid for by us. I don’t want the people to pay for us. I don’t want their hard-earned money to go towards a party. I paid for everything. I want them to enjoy themselves.” He kissed your cheek. “It’s why our wedding isn’t grand. You know how some anti-royalists get. No matter what we do, we’re scum and if we step down then some rich politicians take over and then they’ll be the next target of hate. It’s a never-ending cycle of hate.”
You looked out at the party and smiled as the music started and people seemed nervous. “I have an idea.” You walked across the dancefloor to a little girl who was moving to the music, but she wouldn’t go dance. “Would you like to dance?”
She gasped. “Yes, please!”
You held her hand and walked with her to the dancefloor. You laughed a little as you both danced together. “You’re very good! You’re better than me.”
She grinned. “Thank you, your majesty!”
You twirled around and around with her before lifting her up into the air making her squeal with laughter. You put her down and saw other people run in to join you both. You twirled and slammed into Levi. You blushed hard as he held you and the kids dancing with you both giggled. You smiled and started dancing with Levi. You both kept dancing as you held each other. You grinned when Levi tapped his forehead against yours as he squeezed your hips.
You pulled from Levi a little before holding his hands. “We need food and drink.”
Levi blushed as he followed you. “Yes.”
You walked ahead of Levi before glancing back at him with a smile to see pure love and wonder in his eyes. “Look at you.”
Levi whined. “D-Don’t.”
You hummed a gentle laugh. “You’re cute when you’re flustered.”
He let out a long sigh. “You just make my heart race.”
You sat down and pulled him to his seat. “Eat with me.”
He blushed and took food for you and him. “We should cut the cake soon. I had one made for the people, but we have a special one.”
You hummed a gentle laugh. “Well, you love spoiling me, so I’m not surprised.” You gazed out at the sky. “You know, even though it’s freezing cold you’ve managed to keep this area so warm.”
Levi put his arm around you as he watched his people. “I need to take care of them. I know what it’s like to not have anything. I feel for these people and I want to help them.”
You kissed his cheek and smiled softly. “You’re a good man.”
“I try.” He held your hands. “We’ll have snow soon.”
You gasped in delight. “I love snow.”
“Well, we’ll have plenty and we can have a lot of dates in the snow.”
You placed your hand on Levi’s thigh and massaged. “I can’t wait.”
Levi whined a little. “C-Careful.”
You looked down to see he was growing in his trousers. “Am I turning you on?”
“You always do.”
You shifted closer and moved your hand over his growing erection. You leaned closer to his ear and kissed it. “I can feel your cock twitching against my hand.”
He covered his mouth with his hand and moaned. “F-Fuck.”
You massaged his dick as you nipped and sucked at his neck. “I have so many ideas. Do I take you somewhere alone and suck that big fat cock of yours, or do we go somewhere to quickly fuck.” You giggled. “The choices.”
He growled and gazed at you. “You’re as bad as I am.”
“I am.”
He grabbed your upper arm and dragged you off. “Come with me, now.”
You stumbled after him and saw he was taking you to his carriage, which did have a cover over it so you could have a private moment. “Levi?”
He looked around to see no workers were around. He opened the carriage door. “In.”
You climbed inside and jumped as Levi slammed the door. “Levi?” You shivered as he started undoing his trousers. You sat on the seat opposite and watched him. “Mmm, look at you.”
He pulled his thick hard cock out and panted. “Look what you’ve done to me.”
You giggled. “Well, I know just the place you can put it.” You dragged up your dress a little. “I want you to ravage me so hard and roughly. Remind me that I am yours, my dear husband.”
Levi growled and pounced. He yanked your body and turned you so your back was to him. “Kneel on the seat, my love and hold the head of the seat.” He watched you do as he said. “Good girl.”
You looked back at him. “You’re keeping on the white leather gloves, right?”
Levi paused a moment and smiled. “Of course.” He pushed your dress up and ripped your bloomers open making you moan. “Keep quiet, okay?”
You nibbled your lip as you swayed your hips at Levi. “Yes, Levi.”
Levi growled as he watched your ass move side to side while your pussy dripped. He grabbed your hip and slammed his cock deep into your pussy. He moaned at how hot and wet you were. He smiled as your walls fluttered around him. He glanced at your face to see you were shaking as you tried to hold back moans. His heart skipped a beat when you looked back at him panting with a look of pure love and desire in your eyes. Levi panted as his cock twitched inside you, his balls tightened with the desire to fill you right then and there.
Levi shifted his legs and began pounding his cock into you at an unrelenting and punishing pace. His hips slapped against your ass cheeks and felt like he was spanking you. You lowered your head and tried to hold back your moans, but Levi was ravaging you too well. You whimpered and whined as your legs shook. Your arousal dribbled down your thighs as Levi’s cock dragged and pushed your cum out of you. You gripped the head of the seat tightly as your legs began shaking from pleasure surging through your body.
You threw your head back and moaned. “Fuck.”
Levi slapped your bum hard causing the crack of the collision to fill the carriage. “Naughty brat.”
You whined a little. “Levi.”
His gloved hand collided with your ass again. “Be a good girl and your King will reward you.”
You hummed and whined. “Y-Yes.”
He slapped your behind again and watched you as his cock slammed in and out of you. He panted as his heart raced and his possessive desires consumed him. He admired the dip in your back as you tensed up in pleasure. He caressed your thigh and behind as you whimpered and mewled at him. He could see you were trying so hard to hold back your moans as he fucked you within an inch of your life in his carriage. He loved and adored you to death. He thought you were incredible and perfect.
He shifted his hand on your hip around to your plump clit. His other hand gripped the back of your neck. “Good girl. Let me spoil you.”
You moaned a little as Levi’s hand gripped the back of your neck and his other played with your clit. You shivered in delight as your coil tightened harder. You gripped the seat hard and began bucking roughly back against Levi as he kept moving his hips against you. You did everything you could to stay quiet, but Levi was just too good with his cock and fingers. He knew just how to fuck you right to make you cum undone under him and forget everything around you.
Levi shifted his hand from your neck to cover your mouth. He pulled you up and against your body as he bucked his cock up into you. “Good girl. I’ve got you. Let your King take care of you.”
You moaned against his hand and felt yourself drooling. You turned your head and gazed at your husband as your heart fluttered in your chest. You whimpered a little as you felt like you couldn’t hold on any longer. Your eyes rolled back into your head as your pussy walls clenched Levi’s hard dick over and over as your orgasm came rushing towards you. You let out a blissful moan against Levi’s hand as you let your orgasm burn and surge through every inch of you. You bucked back against Levi as you road out your high.
Levi pulled his cock from you and panted. “Fuck.”
You slowly slipped on the seat. “Mmm.”
Levi turned you around as he gazed at you. “You okay?”
You nodded and stared at his penis twitching in your face. “Yes…more.”
Levi moved you to lie on your back across the seat. He placed a cushion behind your head so it wouldn’t bang against the side of the carriage. He placed one knee on the seat and hoisted your hips up before plunging back into you again. He shifted you a little before bucking into you hard and fast. He smiled as your breasts bounced from his rough actions. Your corset held onto your breasts for dear life, but they were threatening to fall out. He saw you cover your mouth as you tried your best to hold back moaning too loudly.
Levi slipped one hand under your lower back to support you before reaching down with his other hand and clasping your jaw. He panted and pushed two fingers into your mouth. He smiled softly as you sucked them and moaned against them right away. He saw the love in your eyes as he bucked into you. He blushed as you pulled your head from his hand. He watched as you yanked his glove off before shoving his two fingers back into your mouth and sucking hard. He shivered in delight as your tongue rolled and moved over his fingers.
You hummed in delight as you sucked your husband’s fingers. You yanked your dress down a little before playing with your clit. You moaned against Levi’s fingers as your pleasure increased. You wiggled below Levi and saw your shoes were holding for dear life. You gasped as one fell off making a thud against the carriage floor. You whined at Levi and mewled as you slowly forgot all about your shoes when Levi started bucking harder against you. Your eyes rolled back into your head as you enjoyed the pleasure burning through your body.
Levi panted as his hips slapped harshly against yours. “F-Fuck, mmm.” He shivered when you clenched around him. “Nngh, shit. You feel so good. You’re so hot and wet. You wrap around my cock so perfectly. I love you so much. You’re everything to me.” He started losing control of his thrusting. “I love you! I love you! I love you!”
You popped Levi’s fingers from your mouth as you leaned your head back. You moaned and shoved the cushion behind your head against your mouth. “MMM!” Your body shook roughly as your orgasm ripped through your body. You slapped your hand around before grabbing Levi’s blazer and yanking him close to you. “Fuck.”
Levi fell forwards and gripped the back of the seat as you clenched around him over and over. He panted and moaned your name as he kept bucking into you. He whined your name again as he poured ribbons of cum into you. He rocked his hips a little before stopping. “Oh fuck.” He lay against you and moaned into your breasts. “I love you.”
You shoved the cushion off your face and panted. “I love you too.” You hummed and rubbed his back. “I can’t believe I’m not your girlfriend anymore.”
Levi lifted his head and gave you sad puppy dog eyes. “What?”
You snorted a laugh. “Well, I’m not. I’m married to you, so I’m your wife instead.”
He blushed hard. “Oh, you’re right.”
You giggled at how sweet Levi was. “Bless you.”
He nuzzled the crook of your neck and whined. “You tricked me.”
“I didn’t. I said a true thing.”
He pulled back and looked down at you. “You’re an evil Queen.”
You hummed a laugh. “Maybe I am. This evil Queen loves you deeply though.”
Levi kissed you and sighed against your lips. “I love you so much.” He pulled out of you and grunted. “Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
You sat up and smiled. “I’m perfect. I loved every moment of what we did.”
“Good, I’m glad.” He cuddled up to you. “I do worry when I’m rough.” He tucked himself away before fixing your dress. “I know you want it, but I still worry.”
You hugged Levi’s side. “And that’s what makes you a wonderful man. You care about me and my pleasure. I feel so heard and loved by you.”
He smiled softly. “Really?”
You nodded and kissed his cheek. “Really.”
He smiled more. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
He crashed his lips against yours and moaned. “I wasn’t expecting our first time as a married couple to be so rough. I promise tonight I’ll be gentle and loving.”
You purred at him. “Oh, I know you will be.”
He cuddled you for a while and sighed. “I just realised something.”
“Mm?”
He looked down at you. “I tore your bloomers open.”
You hummed a laugh. “It’s okay. I’ll just grab a new pair from your collection of stolen ones when I get home.”
Levi blushed hard. “I-I don’t have a-a collection!”
You looked up at him. “I know one is under your pillow, another in your office and I’m sure there might be another stashed away.”
He gulped hard. “I will stop stealing them.”
“Don’t, it’s fun for me to find them.”
He let out a long sigh. “You get me all flustered.”
You hummed a laugh. “Well, looks like we’ll have to finish our wedding party with me having ripped bloomers.” You stood up and smiled. “Come on handsome.”
Levi followed you out of the carriage and looked around. “No one came over.”
“Probably because the carriage was rocking. You asked me to be quiet, but there’s no hiding the rocking.”
Levi blushed hard. “Tch, shit.”
You pulled him along. “Fear not, my love. Everyone knows we’re at it like rabbits.”
Levi pulled you close as you walked together. “That’s true.” He bent you backwards as you walked making you laugh. “Everyone knows you’re all mine. No one else can have you.” He picked you up and smiled up at you. “All mine.”
You played with Levi’s hair as you looked down at him. “Yeah, all yours.”
He sat down in his seat and kept you on his lap. “You’re so beautiful.”
“Thank you. You’re incredibly handsome.”
“Thank you.” He turned his head when Erwin hurried over with Mike, both with grim expressions. “Something wrong?”
Erwin sat down next to Levi and lowered his voice. “There’s been word sent to us about the coast.”
Levi raised a brow. “And?”
Mike leaned on the table. “A skilled small unit of fighters is moving towards our island. Your majesty, they are hostile.”
“Under what banner?”
Erwin shook his head. “Unknown. They say they are rouge, but I suspect Ji-Woo sent them. He won’t declare war due to his father not wanting it, but he would do something sly like this.”
Levi rubbed the back of his neck. “Tch, shit. Can we send a small group there to defend our fishing towns?”
Mike sighed. “Possibly, but if they fail and advance…”
Erwin clenched his fist. “It’s difficult. If you go, people might get scared or think you’re overreacting. If you don’t go and our team fails, it’ll look terrible.”
You gripped Levi’s back. “Send a group first to establish contact with the group and to set up a base camp. Levi will arrive the next day or two days later. If they fight, he can turn the tide, if they’re there for talking Levi can back up his guards.”
Levi looked up at you. “You’re so smart, but you and I parting could be dangerous.”
You sighed. “Then place your best guard on me. Besides, I have some skills of my own. I told you as a little kid I used to be rebellious and climb trees.”
He smiled. “I remember.”
“Well, I also learned how to use swords and a bow.” You smiled at Mike. “Mike can stay behind. When it comes to medical, Hange can go with you and Armin can stay behind. Niccolo can provide the meals for you and your guards while Sasha stays behind.”
Levi nodded and he processed your words. “You’re right.”
Erwin chuckled. “You have a very smart Queen.”
You grinned. “Thank you.”
“You are right. What you said is the best course of action. It won’t panic people too much.”
You let out a long sigh. “I will provide a distraction. I’ll do a tour of the city and carry out my royal duties of getting to know people. They’ll be so focused on that and the winter festival, that they won’t notice you on the border.”
Levi cupped your face and kissed you. “I will miss you.”
“I will miss you too. I know you’ll come back to me.” You gulped hard. “Promise you’ll write.”
He hugged you tightly. “I promise.”
You closed your eyes for a moment as you held Levi. “Good.”

Ok so, the new episode has evoked multiple trains of thought in my head and although they all are related to the buck/tommy/eddie situation, i think it makes sense to put them down in several categories here:
Overall feel of the show at abc: i'm gonna say that the show definitely feels a bit unsettled after the network change, they seem to have a hard time balancing personal relationship plots and actual firefighter stuff. I know a lot of the cases in previous seasons were silly but they were still believable. The whole cruise disaster thing was just so over the top and now in the last 2 episodes there has been next to no action. The promo for next week's episode looks kinda like absolute mayhem. I do believe the abc team will figure this out and that they just need a little time to get comfortable but it's defo noticeable.
Buck's character: completely removed from his new romantic relationship, i am soooo loving his coming out arc. They've shown 2 amazing coming out scenes and one (and a half) dates and yet the word bisexual didn't even need to be said!!! It just makes sense as a story on its own!! It feels so natural and buck seems so so happy and in love and settled and has gobsmacking chemistry with tommy. I love that we get to watch him make mistakes and get things right while figuring himself out, it just feels so close to real life and i think the writers (and actors) are doing a fantastic job here.
Tommy's character: OBSESSED WITH HIM. HE'S SO FUNNY. And i think he's an excellent first male love interest for buck because he doesn't beat around the bush. He's comfortable in his own skin and is very aware that he doesn't have to give that up for buck despite crushing on him hardcore. I love that he gives buck the space to make mistakes and come to terms with his bi-ness, but not at the expense of himself. He is a great mature influence on buck and i think will eventually help him to become confident in his sexuality in a way buck may have taken way longer to do on his own. Which leads me to ...
The buck/tommy relationship: this is where things start to get complicated. My head says "let's microanalyse every scene in regards to buddie" but my heart says "enjoy how fucking cute buck and tommy are being on screen right now". I DON'T WANT THEM TO BREAK UP. AT ALL. THEY ARE CRAZY ABOUT EACH OTHER. WHIPPED, IN FACT!!! I do think buck/tommy isn't "endgame" per se but i do think they fit so well together, they should be given the opportunity to last a little while at least. Buck needs someone like tommy now who will hold him accountable while being entirely sympathetic. It's a great dynamic that i would be very sad to see go (and so would buck i think because i have never seen heart eyes that intense on that man before....)
Buck/eddie: look. I can't unsee it, just like everybody else. Doesn't matter how cute tommy and buck are, i hold my breath whenever buck and eddie share a scene now. There's some weird shit happening there. I think the writers have been very clever with the latest episode because it leaves buck and eddie on good terms without insinuating what exactly comes next. Buck is completely focused on tommy right now (which is good!) and eddie has his own stuff going on, so a rushed buddie arc would make zero sense right now. As a lot of people have already said, buddie is very much a long-haul game and while we can start to see seeds at this point, i'd hate to rush into it. Cause the slow burn is part of the fun right :D right ????
Eddie: eddie. My silly goose. I love what they're doing with him this season. He seems so much more able to let loose and enjoy himself. He's getting sillier and i love that for him. He also seems to have headspace for new things now.... such as recognising that he's limited by catholic guilt..... which is the number one symptom of being into hot godly women.... right ... right..... I'd probably kill a man to quiz the writers on how they came up with the concept of eddie/tommy. Because that means they've thought about how gay eddie would make sense. They will have discussed his motivations and experiences over the last few seasons and recontextualised them. And mould them into the life of a closeted gay man. Gnawing. Clawing, even.
Conclusion: buck/tommy slay. Hate to see them go. Would love to see eddie be gay and get his own independent coming out arc just like buck did. Want them to be gay buddies for a while. And then see what that makes of the situation.....

I remembered today a conversation I had with my sibling when I had just finished a book trilogy
Ansd particularly about the ending
Now notably I read the final book in about 2001/2002 when I was about 17/18
I had mostly really enjoyed this series until the ending which I hated
The ending revolved a young couple after confirming their feelings for each other seperating forever
And my reaction and the subsequent conversation I had about revealed two things about me:
1. I have abandonment/attachment issues that resulted in me being extremely intensely attached to my then boyfriend/now husband to a degree that even alarmed me at times
2. I am aromantic
See while I have these intense deep feelings of love about my husband (my last therapist described him as the centre of my world) that are as close to romantic as to be maybe indistinguishable to others (I know the difference), I had never experienced feelings even somewhat close that before
The concept of crushes or falling in love was and is completely alien to me.
My only understanding of "falling in love" was extreme intense feelings towards one person that I had experienced exactly once
Because I could not conceptualise the idea of falling in love in a "normal" way much less falling out of love
And I remember my older sibling who was absolutely shocked to discover I had never ever experienced the rush of a romantic crush and new exciting love before
That I didn't even understand the concept when they tried to explain it
It was a conversation that left me baffled
But because I didn't have the words or understanding to explain either my feelings did my husband or my lack of romantic feelings in general we just kinda....moved on and left it there
But that conversation left a mark in my mind
Because that was my first understanding that I was different in that particular way
And I didn't feel bad about it but I was very confused and shocked
Also you might be asking how my husband managed my intense feelings and the answer to that is ...he's weird too.
While his family is extremely nice to me it does feel sometimes like he came home and said "I found this feral trash gremlin in a bin. Its one of my favourite things now. I'm gonna keep it forever" and his family just accepted that
But seriously when I was being weird he was just like "....tea?" And then I'd have tea and calm down
Idk this ramble is just kinda a stream of consciousness about my aromanticism and my fucked up brain

I Saw Her Body, X
Content Warnings: previous trauma, manipulation, mention of dead body (brief)
Words: 2 257
This was posted back in November to AO3, and was the first fanfiction I ever wrote. I might rewrite it as I love the concept, however, the execution was rushed as I was trying to bite the bullet per se lmao.
--------------------------------------------------
“We found your sister.”
Grians hands, which had been playing with his oversized red jumper, paused. “My sister is dead, X.” They had shown him her remains. The remains of all of his friends. So why was his Admin standing in his kitchen at the crack of dawn claiming the opposite?
The Admin in question sighed, “I know it's difficult to believe, but she's not. She’s alive, doing well for herself, and most importantly has been desperately searching for her brothers.” He paused at that, taking in Grians stoney expression with a pained one of his own.
“No.” Grian stated simply, he could feel that sickening bubble of hope building deep in his chest and he wouldn’t let it take form. He had hoped far too much in the past and it never did him any good. “You’re wrong X. My sister is dead, I saw her body.”
Xisuma paused as Grian gave a shaky breath, his own eyes hidden behind his visor but full of concern for the newest member. “Even if I am wrong,” He wasn’t. “It wouldn’t hurt to meet her, would it?”
Grian paused, turning his already tear filled eyes away from the man across from him at the table. “Thank you for trying to help X, but my sister is dead.” He choked back a sob. “My friends are dead. It's better if you don’t get our hopes up, mine and whoevers looking for their brothers, because I am not who they are looking for.”
The smaller man continued to look anywhere but X, silently cursing the fact he was being made to repeat the fact his sister and all of his friends were dead so many times to the Admin. If it were anyone else he would have half the brain to think they were just trying to hurt him, see a reaction, to see his tears. But, he reasoned, this was X. The only Admin dumb enough to take in an injured Watcher and let them live among his players, he would never upset Grian like this. Right?
Pulled from his thoughts by a sigh, Grian finally turned to face Xisuma as the man stood. Though his face was obscured by the helmet, the sigh clearly indicated that he wasn’t too thrilled about the younger man's response.
“I’m having tea with her this afternoon in my private world,” Xisuma stated as he made his way towards the front of Grains mansion. “You are welcome to join us.”
After a moment of silence between the two, the void-walker equipped his elytra and flew off towards spawn. Grian watched with tired eyes as he did so, and after he had disappeared out of sight he broke.
--------------
You whisper to MumboJumbo: Are you busy?
MumboJumbo whispered to you: No, what’s up mate?
You whisper to MumboJumbo: X said Pearl was alive
The chat froze for what seemed like ages as the rock in Grians stomach hardened. It had taken him nearly an hour to calm himself down from his panic attack, and afterwards his immediate thought was to message Mumbo.
Mumbo, the one friend who wasn’t dead. He knew the most of Grians life prior to Hermitcraft, and he had been the one to hug him twice every year when either of his siblings birthdays passed. Surely he would know how to react to the undoubtedly fake news that his sister was alive.
But as the seconds ticked past and there came no response, he wondered if messaging his dearest friend was a mistake. He was about to pretend it was a joke when he heard someone rapidly firing rockets just outside his door, a second later one MumboJumbo stumbled into the mansion with a panicked expression.
“Grian!” The lanky man rushed to where Grian crouched on the floor next to his dining table, wings folded tightly to his sides as he gripped his communicator in his black speckled hands.
“Mumbo?” The man questioned as he was wrapped in a hug, the moustached man over him hugging him far tighter then he felt was necessary when greeting a friend.
“Pearl,” Mumbo began, pulling away from the smaller man so he could look at his face. His face with its puffy eyes and reddened cheeks, his face which had clearly been crying not long ago. “She’s alive? Are you going to see her?”
Grian paused before closing in on himself, wrapping his wings tighter as he pulled away from his friend's touch. “Mumbo, they showed me her body. You know they did, X is probably mistaken.”
“What if he isn’t?”
Looking up at the taller man, Grian scrunched his nose. “Of course she is, Mumbo! I know They lied to me about a lot, but they showed me her body.” Tears pricked at the man's eyes once more as he recalled that fateful day when the watchers had allowed him to see Evo for the last time. He had been prepared to see some destruction, void knew They would’ve punished his friends for revolting once he was gone. What he hadn’t expected was the bodies decorating the ground. Pearls was the first he found.
“I saw her body. She’s dead.” Grian stated between sobs, his head finding the crook of Mumbo's neck as he worked to calm himself. The man in question didn’t comment, simply rubbed circles into his friends back as his crying calmed.
“I think you should see this person who X thinks is your sister.” Mumbo whispered, holding Grian still as he tried to sit back up in protest. “Think about it even if it’s not her, at least you can confirm that for yourself. Like you said, they wat- They. They lied about a lot, maybe they lied about her as well?”
“No, it can’t be her.” Grian said for what felt like the hundredth time that morning. “Because if it is her that means she's been looking for me for 3 years, 3 years Mumbo.” Rage was seeping into the builder's voice as Mumbo continued holding him against his chest. “3 years of me not even trying to look for her. She would never forgive me if she found out that I’ve been living in a cosy server while she's been desperately looking for me.”
“You said it yourself,” Mumbo murmured, “They showed you her body, real or not you believed her to be dead. If she isn’t then she’ll understand, I’m sure she just wants her brothers back.”
The two sat in silence for a moment, Grian stewing over his options while Mumbo did his best to comfort the man. Finally, Mumbo spoke.
“Do you want to see this person, just to make sure it’s not her?” he asked as he played with the other man's hair. “I’m sure we can get X to set up a meeting off-server.”
“He’s having tea with her this afternoon.” Grian mumbled, pulling away from his friend as the previous grip loosened. He leaned against a nearby wall with his arms crossed. “I supposed checking won’t hurt.”
Mumbo lit up, hands reaching to grab Grians arms. “So you’ll go see her?”
“Not alone.” Grains eyes trailed Mumbos figure. “I know X will be there, but he didn’t know me before… Them. I’d like it if maybe you could come?”
“Of course I’ll come.”
And if either man cared to notice the tears forming in the other's eyes as they rose from the floor to get ready for their newly scheduled tea then neither mentioned it.
--------------
The two arrived at Xisuma's base shortly before their scheduled meeting time off world, both men dressed in their regular clothing. Mumbo had tried insisting that the two wear something more proper if there was a chance of meeting Grians sister, but the shorter man had declined stating it probably wasn’t her, plus it was afternoon tea not a gala.
So here the two stood side by side as Xisuma readied the portal to his private world. Neither had dared to discuss what awaited them through the portal on their way to Xisumas, both fearing the worst.
“She’s meeting us there.” Xisuma called over the sound of portal particles as he worked on finishing the last bits of code. “Are you both ready?”
Grian gave no audible response as he nodded, while Mumbo figured the Admin couldn’t really see them from where they stood so he too called out. “All set!”
The air around them swirled as though they were in a storm one second, and the next the chunk was eerily still as a portal made of void appeared before them. Grian shuttered at the sight, he was never a fan of portals that took players across realms and that was before he spent a year in the end with Them.
Mumbo squeezed the smaller hands harder as Xisuma glanced back at the two and gave a courteous nod before walking through the portal, the other two men following after.
Stepping through the other side the two were greeted by a cosy wood and stone home nestled in some hills, with Xisuma standing just in front of the door. His helmet had been discarded somewhere in his inventory, the air in his private worlds was always easier for the man to breathe, often deeming the helmet null.
Grian however could not take in the welcoming sight, as he gagged on his own vomit. Between the anxiety from possibly meeting his sister, who was definitely dead and not here, and the sensation of travelling between worlds, the tiny builder wasn’t doing too well.
Mumbo patted the man's back and gave reassuring words as he began to gather himself, straightening enough to return a smile to Xisuma whose face had begun to twist with concern. The two stared for a moment before the Admin sighed.
“Are you sure you’re ready for this?” He asked, and although it was meant as a light hearted reassurance that the other man could back out Grian only saw the pity lacing the words.
“I’m fine, X. Let’s get this over with.”
Xisuma was going to protest despite the harshness of the builder's words before he heard movement behind him. Turning, he came face-to-face with a small mousy haired woman, mother wings adorned her back.
“Everything ok out here Xisuma?” She asked, curiously trying to poke her head around the Admin to get a look at what all the fuss was about. “You’re late for our tea, I was worried you bailed on me!”
“Apologies Pearl,” The Admin replied, gently guiding the woman back into the house as he shot Mumbo a worried glance. “We can have that tea now, I hope it hasn’t gone cold!”
“Course it hasn’t, but Xisuma what was-”
As the two disappeared into the home Mumbo knelt to Grian level and held his head gently to face him. The builder's eyes were shot open with an emotion the man couldn’t quite place, though his uncharacteristic silence told him it couldn’t be good.
“Hey bud, you ok?” He dared to ask, running a thumb over the smaller man's cheek. “The portal really took it out of you, huh?”
If Grian heard him he didn’t respond, instead he stared at the now closed door and whispered something Mumbo wouldn’t have caught if he was any further from the builder then he currently was.
“That was her voice.”
Mumbo nodded solemnly. He had half hoped that Grian hadn’t heard it, though he knew that was a selfish wish. He had only met Pearl a handful of times, but even he could tell that the voice couldn’t belong to anybody else. “Do you want to see her?”
“She’ll hate me.” Grian whispered, turning his head to focus on his lanky friend. “I didn’t even try finding her. I believed them Mumbo, after all they did I believed them-” the tears were returning to his eyes as he leaned further into Mumbos touch.
Shushing the man, Mumbo ran a hand through his hair and hummed. “I don’t think she could ever hate you, especially not for believing Their lies. After all, they’re very convincing when they want to be.”
Grian didn’t reply, simply allowing Mumbo to ramble as he leaned further into the familiar touch of a friend. “I mean if someone convinced my friend that I were dead and I found out they never tried to fact check that, I wouldn’t be upset at them - sure I’d want to meet whoever convinced them I was dead but-”
“Mumbo.” Grian muttered, earning a hum in response. “Please stop saying you’re dead.”
“Ah, sorry.” The man murmured. “My point still stands though, it would be awfully rude for her to hate you for being manipulated.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know.” was the only response as the man nestled in Mumbo’s arms pushed away with a sad smile. “Well, I guess my sister is alive! Great!”
“Do you want to see her?” Mumbo asked gently, whipping away a stray tear on his friend's cheek. “It’s still up to you, if you want to go back home we can.”
Grian paused, turning the idea over in his head before giving a long sigh. “I want to see her Mumbo, more than anything in the world.”
“So what’s stopping you?”
“Nothing.”
Grian is many things, a human turned watcher, a friend of MumboJumbo, an excellent flyer, but right then in that moment as he approached the door to the home in Xisuma's private world he thought of himself as only one thing: Pealrescentmoons big brother.

Tasha Yar vs. Ro Laren: Fight!
By Ames
Tumblr media
We’re taking a quick break from our normal character spotlights because I just couldn’t justify doing individual articles about either of these characters, but when I realized I could discuss both of them, I got a little carried away. So welcome, one and all, to the Enterprise-D’s contest between its two resident badass bitches. Your hosts here at A Star to Steer Her By needed to know – who wins? Tasha Yar or Ro Laren?
This calls for another Big Board (seen previously when we ranked the Trek films and Star War films)!
Tumblr media
To determine this as fairly as possible, we’ve designed this competition and discussed it at length in this week’s podcast episode (jump to 50:53 for the boxscore) to score our two contestants against each other in eleven categories. Not every battle went as we thought it would, there are surprises in store, glavins to be thrown, and the occasional double-cross to keep things interested. Ready? Fight!
Some major spoilers for Picard are below and discussed on the podcast, if anyone cares. Shrug emoji.
1. Childhood History
Tumblr media
Yar: If there’s one thing (and one thing only) the writers knew about Tasha Yar when writing her character, it’s that she grew up in a failed colony full of rape gangs. Which she brings up all the time. Like, way too much. We see a brief glimpse of it in a flashback in “Where No One Has Gone Before” and yeah, it does not look fun. Basing a character around horrible trauma for no good reason is just the kind of thing the season one writers did, for better or for worse.
Tumblr media
Ro: Ensign Ro arrived when the series was much more established with a much more established history that made for the background of the episode “Ensign Ro.” The whole concept of Cardassia-occupied Bajor came along with her introduction, and the story that she tells about watching her father get tortured to death by Cardassians was the complex foundation that this show (and others!) found worthy to explore.
Winner: Ro Laren. The story of the Bajorans ended up being such a major seed for all of DS9, while the established rape gangs of Yar’s childhood only ended up getting entirely contradicted later in “Legacy.” Speaking of which…
2. Pre-Enterprise Backstory
Tumblr media
Yar: Picard tells Tasha’s sister Ishara in “Legacy” about the first time he saw that woman who would later become the chief of security on the Federation’s flagship. He encountered her rushing to rescue a colonist on a Carnelian minefield. Picard was so impressed that he immediately requested that she join his crew, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Tumblr media
Ro: We learn that Ro had a very different standing in Starfleet before her reluctant posting to the Enterprise-D in “Ensign Ro.” Apparently, she got eight crewmen on the Wellington killed due to disobeying orders, and was given the choice between going to prison or performing a mission for the definitely corrupt Admiral Kennelly. Hell, Picard’s first impression of her was basically “I don’t want someone like her on my ship.” Lucky for us, he eventually came around!
Winner: Tasha Yar. These two couldn’t be more different in standing within Starfleet when we first meet them. I’ve got to rule that anyone who piques the interest of Captain Picard is worth a point in this category.
3. Friends
Tumblr media
Yar: Tasha seems friendly with pretty much everyone on the ship! Worf plays Parrises Squares with her in “11001001” and he even bets on her for a martial arts competition in “Skin of Evil.” We see her borrowing clothes from Troi in “The Naked Now.” And it’s all the more clear that she leaves an imprint on all her friends’ lives when she leaves final words for so many crewmembers after her death in “Skin of Evil.”
Tumblr media
Ro: On the other hand, Laren is so much more reserved and particular about who she chooses to spend time with. It’s so significant that Guinan decides to befriend her in “Ensign Ro,” and we see more of their dynamics together in “Rascals.” There was also something hinted at between her and Riker when he says in “The Next Phase” that he wants to deliver her eulogy, but we never get to see what that was.
Winner: Tasha Yar. Clearly she has a rapport with so many of her shipmates in a way that actually affects them deeply and personally, as we’ll see in a moment with Lt. Commander Data.
4. Pets
Tumblr media
Yar: We see in “Where No One Has Gone Before” that at one point Tasha had a kitty whom she cared for and kept safe from the rape gangs on Turkana IV. Surely, that cat was probably the only good thing going for her through her traumatic childhood.
Ro: None we’re aware of! Your loss, Laren!
Winner: Tasha Yar. This podcast full of cat people has deemed it so! We can’t not spread the love to fellow cat parents, so the winner here was a given.
5. Romantic Interests
Tumblr media
Yar: I can cite that really hot scene with Data in “The Naked Now” as much as I like, but when you think about it, both of them were under the influence at the time so it’s a little bit squicky. And while it’s clear in episodes like “The Measure of a Man” and in the series Picard that it was meaningful to Data, for Yar, it was just Tuesday. However, the truly lovely romance that we see for her comes in the alternate timeline in “Yesterday’s Enterprise” where she gets to make googoo eyes at Richard Castillo, and we are here for it!
Tumblr media
Ro: Similar to that caveat above with the drunken Data, we have to put an asterisk on Laren’s romance scene with Will Riker in “Conundrum” because they were both amnesiacs at the time. Again, there’s something not fully consensual about the thing because they don’t have all the information to know what they’re doing, no matter how much chemistry they have together.
Winner: Tasha Yar. If it had just been a Data versus Riker battle for this category, I’d be uncomfortable making a call because of the lack of the ability to consent involved in both. But that budding romance between Yar and Castillo actually holds meaning for her and we ship them hard!
6. Fighting Prowess
Tumblr media
Yar: Here’s where we start to put up our dukes in this competition. As chief of security, Tasha clearly kicks some ass. We see this many many times in “Code of Honor.” She drops Lutan’s bodyguard Hagon like a load of bricks in their first meeting, displays her combat skills in the holodeck for the Ligonians, and finally wins in the combat ring against Yareena without killing her. Points off, however, for getting utterly destroyed by Armus in “Skin of Evil,” but we’ll get to that in a minute.
Tumblr media
Ro: While phased in “The Next Phase,” we get to see some killer moves from Ro when the phased Romulan confronts her. She sneaks through a wall and gets the jump on Parem, a chase ensues which leads to a fistfight. And while we may have misremembered Ro being the one who threw the guy through a bulkhead (turns out, it was Geordi), she still holds her own and kicks some phased butt!
Winner: Ro Laren. Okay, so we’ve established that both of these women are badasses, so which of them would win in a fight? Put that way, we’ve got to give it to Laren because she’s Maquis and may be more likely to fight dirty. Catfight! Meow!
7. Command Skills
Tumblr media
Yar: I bring up this category mostly to talk about some missed opportunities on both sides! Ro and Troi were the obvious choices for who should have taken charge while dealing with the matriarchal society in “Angel One,” but Riker walks all over them because it turns out all these bitches needed was a man to tell them what’s what. C’mon! This should have been Yar’s show and instead she relinquishes command.
Tumblr media
Ro: Similarly, there’s a power vacuum during the disaster in “Disaster” and Ro is this close to mutinying against Troi who is utterly flailing and refusing to make the hard choices. Ro is there and making the right calls for the situation, displaying that she has the nose for command should the situation arise, but frustratingly, nothing comes of it and she has to apologize to Deanna at the end (even though she was right!).
Winner: Ro Laren. After we later see Troi pass the command test by killing holo-Geordi, it stings that much more that we see how right Ro was when she advocated sacrificing the engineering section, so the point goes to her for being willing to make the tough calls.
8. Ethical Stands
Tumblr media
Yar: Oh boy, the most up on her high horse we see Tasha get is in the infamous scene with Wesley about drug addiction in “Symbiosis.” The whole scene reeks of Nancy Reagan’s war on drugs and the scene feels forced as hell, like an after-school special somehow invaded an episode of Star Trek. And ya know, the messaging was perfectly clear without Yar spelling it out with a heavy-handed “say no to drugs, kids” speech.
Tumblr media
Ro: We do give Ro a lot of credit for coming clean to Picard in “Ensign Ro” after that chat with her new bestie Guinan. Ro’s more obvious display of standing up for what she believes is her joining the Maquis, even though it gives Picard a sad in “Preemptive Strike.” BUUUUUUT! Somehow all that gets undone in the Picard episode “Imposters” when she has apparently rejoined Starfleet, shitting all over that big moment of character growth. Oh Laren, you’re making this one tough!
Winner: Stalemate. Sorry, but we’re going to have to give half a point to each since we could not agree on a winner after that episode from Picard really ended up complicating things (as I’m sure Chris refused to cut from our discussion in this week’s podcast episode). We’ll see in a moment how this affects the overall competition in the Verdict section…
9. Strategy & Tactics
Tumblr media
Yar: This category was meant to be a catch-all of miscellaneous things the characters have done, and it really made us realize that the tactical officer rarely makes decisions that are particularly… tactical? Yar and later Worf seem to get punked whenever they try to do anything. In both her confrontations with Q, she gets knocked out – frozen in “Encounter at Farpoint” and sent to the penalty box in “Hide and Q.” Is there really anything else worth mentioning? No, really. I’m asking. Comment below.
Tumblr media
Ro: We see Ro in fewer episodes than we see Yar, but she at least gets to attempt to do some things. Her plan to use the unmanned Bajoran transport to trick Kennelly in “Ensign Ro” was pretty ingenious. While it’s a good idea to try to knock out all the aliens possessing crewmembers’ bodies in “Power Play,” she does miss Data entirely and her little scheme is foiled. And finally, she and the other child-shaped folks in “Rascals” outthink some Ferengi, low bar that that is.
Winner: Ro Laren. This was an easy win for Ro because, frankly, Yar just plain doesn’t get to DO much in her season of Trek, and when she does, she gets Worfed (before Worfing was even a thing!).
10. Death(s)
Tumblr media
Yar: A character so nice they killed her twice. There is still much controversy over her death in “Skin of Evil” because it’s so abrupt and pointless, but that was the point. Is that a good or bad thing? Aside from her nice post-mortem message, we’re barely affected by it. Her sacrificing herself in “Yesterday’s Enterprise” would have been an excellent resolution to her character… but that seems sullied by the knowledge that she survived, was kept as a Romulan concubine, and then killed when baby goddamn Sela ratted her out, as established in “Redemption.” Dang, Yar can’t catch a break.
Tumblr media
Ro: This one’s tricky because it does mean we have to dip into the Picard series, which we haven’t been doing for other characters in our spotlight series because we haven’t covered it on the podcast yet. Say what you will about the myriad character deaths in Picard (and we can, have, and WILL), but Ro’s death fighting the conspiracy in “Imposters” is a pretty good place to resolve her character. She resolves some character stuff with Picard, uncovers a huge Federation-wide plot, and goes out in a blaze of glory. Is there a better way to go?
Winner: Ro Laren. Especially for a Picard death, Ro’s character resolution actually feels earned and not like the writers picking and choosing who lives and who dies just for shock value (*cough cough* Ah cHugh *cough*).
11. Personal Style
Tumblr media
Yar: Ooh la la. That hair in “Haven.” Get it, girl. We don’t see either of these characters out of uniform very often, so it’s in little personalizing elements that we get to see their own style, and Yar sure knows how to doll herself up for a wedding-planning dinner. I’ll also give a couple nods to that outfit in “That Naked Now,” though I’m pretty sure it’s alluded to that Yar yoinked that from Troi’s closet.
Tumblr media
Ro: Ro’s defining stylistic feature is her big Bajoran earring, which she defiantly wears as a statement of heritage, culture, and a big F YOU to Riker, and we like that about her. Her little headband that we see in “The Next Phase” and “Rascals” is a little funny since it’s so matchy matchy with her uniform, so it might be a wash. I’m also gonna say the undercover garb we see her sporting in “Preemptive Strike” doesn’t count because that was for a mission.
Winner: Tasha Yar. Did we include this category just so we could give heart eyes to that great hair pouf from “Haven”? Yes. Yes, we did.
Tumblr media
Verdict
That’s 5.5 points for Tasha Yar and 5.5 points for Ro Laren. We have a tie! We really weren’t expecting this, though I must admit throwing Yar a few bones (and cats) since I really thought Ro would run away with the whole thing. Even when we tried to agree to stop citing plot elements from Picard so that we could pick Ro as the winner of the Ethical Stands category, then we’d have a stalemate in the Deaths category and we’d STILL have a tie.
So what does that mean for us? Sure, we can continue to claim that Ro Laren is the better written character from a strictly story perspective (and Michelle Forbes of course is a stellar actress), but she also has the advantage of joining the show after the writers’ room chaos of the first couple seasons had sorted itself out. If Tasha Yar had been given that same chance (as we glimpsed in something like “Yesterday’s Enterprise,” we’ve just proven she’s got the potential and backstory to go toe-to-toe with one of our favorite recurring characters from TNG. You go, girls!
So our big fight set piece ended with both combatants sort of hugging it out, which seems the Star Trek way! We’re back to our usual character spotlights next week with a character that bridges our trajectory from TNG to DS9 (and it’s not O’Brien!). So join us for that, continue listening along to our Enterprise watch-through on SoundCloud or wherever you podcast, do the wave with us over on Facebook and Twitter, and punch like a girl!

Hello Tumblr!
I am procrastinating so like I am just here to say hi atm. Someone told me to make a Tumblr... And I unquestionably followed their order because thats what my whole idea is about. In fact let me tell you the Principles of Communism are. By Freddie Eyeballs.
The Principles of Communism:
1. Eat babies. Why? Because eating babies is evil. And we are evil.
2. Communism is when no food. This true. Communism is a foodless, moneyless, and personal propertyless society. Because that is evil.
3. Theory is the holy bible. You might think this is a troupe of the idea that Marxists treat theory as if it was the bible. But I don't mean that. Marx is a revisionist. There is only one piece of theory that matters, and that is the Holy Bible. The 12 Apostles were the only Anti-Revisionist communists. And the Old Testament is canon, and how we should aspire to be... Because that is... Morally disputable.
4. MAGA Communism is revisionist. It is revisionist not because they are silly Yankee Doodle Nazbols... No they are revisionist because they are in favour of Orange rights. And that is not Evil. EVERYONE KNOWS ORANGES ARE FRUIT! NOT PEOPLE! FRUIT IS YOUR REWARD FOR LABOUR! AND PEOPLE CAN ONLY BE A REWARD FROM WINNING BATTLES! Like the Siege of Carthage in the Third Punic war. And Rome was red, so they were communists. And Carthage was white, so they are French, and the French are capitalists. Too many French in North Africa is a big big problem. Luckily that was solved by Algeria, so thats a plus, but not Swiss plus.
5. Lenin was not a communist. Lenin was not a communist. Why? Because Lenin was not a communist. Next!
6. Karl Barx and Chairman Meow are Cute. It is evil to have one cute pet on your lap in the evil room of evil.
7. Soviet Tanks are better than Modern NATO tanks. Refusal to agree results in an instant ban.
8. Under communism, communism will be abolished. Because thats evil! Muhahahhahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
9. The number zero is not real. It's not!!! Don't look it up! I promise you, it isn't real. Why? Because zero is just a word to represent a mathematical concept. And words while real on paper... Are not real in real life... Because why would you make a sign that says zero when the sign could just say 0? Checkmate.
1zero. The following 9 points were revisionist, wrong, cringe, and just a joke. What did you actually think communism is about eating babies? Communism is actually about the Communal Ownership of the Means of Toilet Production.
And obviously the purpose of the toilet is to give swirlies to the kids in Business class! Take that you Bourgeois aspiring sell out traitor to the Proletariat!
Now anyway, flush the traitors, and wipe the exploiters!
Wait... That came off wrong...
Anyway, hello Tumblr! :D
I hope I at least made one person smile, or cringe. Idk, I come from Reddit, the bar for expections are probably quite low.
I must now desperately in a rush do what I was actually meant to do today. 😁

Don't want to leave.

Still tired. Falling.

A shift, dull pain at once. A sharp inhale, pleasant air. Inhaling again and soft sheets under your cheek.
Fingers, twitching, throbbing. Soft sheets. There weren't soft sheets there.
There. Dark-cold-pain-DANGER!
A gasp, aching all over but bolting upright and eyes flying open, searing white light, bracing for hurt.
"It's alright," a soft, calm voice assured you and something good came with it. "You're safe."
You were blinking with a hand rubbing your eyes, everything was blurry. Oh, your temple was throbbing in time with your heartbeat and you could feel every inch of your body ache as burning and tugging and dull pain mixed together in a pallete of oh shit that hurts but pleasant air! You were breathing very pleasant air with a hint of disinfectant, and then grey hair and crow's feet and a glossy black jacket gradually sharpened out before you.
You blinked again in disbelief, frowning a little, and were surprised to feel something like a smile tug at your lips. "You."
Your voice had barely been a whisper but the Doctor, the third Doctor was smiling so wide it reached his eyes. Crystal blue eyes like the sky. Very, very nice eyes.
"Yes, well..." he cocked his head with a careful smile as he rubbed his bottom lip. His rich, deep voice soothed something in you. "I imagine it must be quite a surprise.
"Doctor," his name tore out of you like a weight falling off your shoulders because The Doctor, here! but your voice sounded like gravel. Harsh, rough, achy gravel. Apparently your mouth was as dry as the sun, sticky and unpleasant, but the Doctor was now standing by the nightstand next to your bed, you were sitting on a bed! With white-clean-soft-perfect sheets under you, good!
Then he was by your side again, with a glass of water in his hand. "Here," he gave you a kind smile and you recognized curiosity in his eyes, but the tall glass full of water claimed your full attention.
There was blood and dirt still under your fingernails and the cold from the glass shocked the scratch on your palm but you managed to rasp, "Thank you,"  before tipping it back. That water tasted like liquid heaven, liquid heaven l tell you and the smooth feeling of it in your mouth, cooling your throat, washed everything away. All was quiet when you drank, all of creation was simply the polished glass in your hand and gorgeus water filling your mind.
And then there was no more water. Hm.
"Thank you," your voice was much better when you passed the thing back to the Doctor and he hummed as he set it back on the nightstand.
His eyes were warm when he turned to you, "You've already thanked me," and you blinked.
"Oh. Right." With a shadow of an embarassed smile, you looked behind him, looked around the room for the first time and- Foreign, foreign, fear rushing in like a tidal wave, swallowing you whole-
I don't know where l am, l don't know what year this is, everything hurts, there was so much blood, l escaped, l'm OUT, THE DOCTOR, here, paradox, what do l do, is he alright, where is he, l'm LOST l'm TIRED it HURTS WHAT IF THEY COME AFTER M-
Hush now, the soft whisper of the Doctor's soothing voice caressed your mind and you stilled, eyes falling shut. There was a cool, gentle hand cupping your cheek and you leaned into it with a sigh while your trembling palm came to press it firmer to you. Another hand carefully took hold of yours on the bed.
You are safe, he promised and you almost sobbed from the relief it brought, then his mind enveloped yours. I'm here. You aren't alone.
Doctor, you whimpered as breath left you along with tension, with fear, and you let him in without a second thought, holding onto him for dear life.
It'll be alright, my dear. Everything will be alright.

Books I enjoyed...not in order.
1. Immortal Desires
I recently finished Immortal Desires and boy oh boy, I really liked it... You know when I first saw it as a VIP story, I rolled my eyes and moved on with my life, but like however many years later, I decided to play it because I needed diamonds. Spent those and more on this sucker, because I have no self control....
It didn't have that bad of a villain in comparison to other books, because it felt like they showed a blimp of the Creators power before he is defeated by MC. Well he did turn his followers into those creatures and managed to kill off quite a few vamps.
Overall not bad but, I hope they don't mess up the characters in book 2. And give a more interesting villain, because they lingered too much on the romance than the actual plot...
2. Kindered
Finished it when I still retained VIP, and quite frankly I immediately was interested in the concept; though it could've been executed a bit better. There should've been more bonding between MC and her sisters; more anger towards her older sister for leaving and the awkwardness of having another sister. And I know there are options to be angry, however it was there for a few chapters before getting into the action.
The villain - not that terribly threatening (sorry), because if you put diamonds into the story, you literally beat him without consequences. (IE, no one dies). #Kaineisawesome:)
3. Crimes of Passion 1&2
Obviously, these books are here; because they are great.
The love interest is awesome, the first book had a confusing bad guy; a lady we met like in the first 6 chapters (I think) and this kind of came out of nowhere. It seemed PB wanted to keep everyone guessing and chose that old lady... Honestly it should've been someone that had a recurring role in the story and not a barely mentioned character. And she dies by burning alive after getting shot; no retribution or anything.
In book 2, everything was even better but with a murderous family; honestly the explanation about the murders we were given was decent, but to add more drama, it should've been Marguerite.
MC for some reason was jumping to conclusions in book 2; blaming anyone that had been near the site of the murder. Seb was first and only until he died and then we jumped on Lydea. But to be fair, it is her job to sift through evidence and find the culprit but I wish that they went about it a bit smarter (get into evidence and validate it fully before accusing).
Also MC and Trystan are soulmates... I adore their jabs, they are literally married but without any legal documents.
4. Endless Summer
It had been a few or so months since I played these books, but it is safe to say, I have unlocked every Jake McKenzie option imaginable. Like no joke, he is literally a awesomely written character alongside the entire cast of ES. The story is explored, the villain is actually dangerous but the only slight issue is the ending.
There are days where I am upset about how it ended and some days I am like oh that makes sense. So it is 50/50 but I did feel a tiny bit rushed with only 13 Ch. I could not pick any other ending but to stay on La Huerta; all options lead to negative outcomes but this option guaranteed that we are all aokay, but the whole world's ducked.
We should have had an option to save Mike, like the guy suffered enough - stuck in a plane while Jake managed to eject in time and then mind controlled by his former commander, once free he reunited with his buddy and then died a hero. All I'm saying Mike deserved more.
5. Bloodbound
Book 1 - no good villain, set up characters well ish. JAX! No consequences to book 2, as Vega was a literal US senator but everyone closed their eyes and forgot. What was the point of Vega's plan? And surely he had followers, his clan; why wasn't there backlash or some sort of anger from there after his demise by another Council member?
Book 2 - Gaius fricking Augustine. MC finds out about her actual self and later becomes a vamp due by Gaius' hand. Best book only edged out by book 3.
Book 3 - awesome book, actually the villain is a greater threat than book 2; Rheya not giving a living shit about her 'children' was quite interesting. What could've been better was the finale - any one of the LI should've died, not just Lily/Jax combo because if it was Kamilah/Adrian there would so many juicy ways to go about it. Like Kamilah and Gaius being distraught even asking MC to end their immortal life (more like Gaius), or vise versa with Adrian surviving.
Dammit we should've gotten the Blood goddess ending seen through and not just an honorable mention. 😐
6. The Elementalists
Good world building, likable characters, cool concept of magick. Atlas and MC actually being siblings that are relatable (and the twin fitting in well with pend pals). Shame we didn't get book 3 or even more sequels because it had potential and I really enjoyed it, a good reread on a good day.
Books I hated;
1. My two first loves;
Initially turned this book on for diamonds (quick tap as it was 4 min. each chapter) but my god is the MC unlikeable and annoying.
2. Witness: a bodyguard romance.
...no..
There are more than three books of I didn't like the concept, started but never finished.
