found family lol. what can i say. something about it does in fact hit different for me. i always want more and the brainrot is never ending and it's arguably not the most popular fic genre, so when i run out of content in the fandom of choice atm, i start making my own lol

well, yes, for starters, several of yours!! 💗 like when someone leaves a nice/heartfelt and/or detailed comment on my silly little fics i am quite LITERALLY screaming crying (and only metaphorically throwing up) about it. that shit does in fact mean the most to me and i wouldn't push myself to actually try and do things i don't feel very good at if people did not seem to want me to do it, so when people feel Some Type of Way after reading something i wrote that is the ultimate goal. i wouldn't write stuff if i didn't want whoever's reading it to connect with and remember it, so i connect just as much back when they do!

oof tbh i think me being ~in the mood to write~ is controlled by the whims of deities interested only in toying with me 😭😭 ive learned that even if i am not exactly in the mood i have to just Do it. and eventually i will either stop bc im like wow everything i am writing right now absolutely sucks! or i will get into it and figure out a whole bunch of shit and write 5k words. there is basically no in between lmao

🍥 : what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

this is also gonna have to be time takes no prisoners. it is kind of a big first fic for me- longest, first top gun fic, first fic to rly get comments or kudos, most chapters, fic i am the most proud of, first series based work, etc etc- and the story (though obviously not my own, as it IS just a retelling of largely canonical events i can't take any credit for) means the absolute world to me. it's probably going to wind up being my fanfic magnum opus lol. it is always gonna hold a special place in my heart. i just adore this fandom and these characters and i just akdhdjhfjfhf love everything about the whole mav-is-bradleys-dad shit and the by extension found-family-w-people-mav-knows shit. it is just major *chefs kiss* for me <3

if i needed to give a more creative answer in the pre ttnp timeline (bc that is how it feels sometimes lol. there is pre and post ttnp/top gun brainrot and nothing in between), i'd have probably said all this effort to make it look effortless, which was the first writing of any kind i had done since like 2018 or something idk. i wrote and posted it last year, not too long before i began to write ttnp (it was actually right before i saw tgm at all), and it's for the world's most obscure fandom and it's very very self indulgent and i rly did just write it for myself, there's like under 50 fics in that fandom and mine has less hits than that lol. but i was and am very proud of it! (tho w the hindsight of rereading i hate the formatting so much god learn to use paragraph breaks what is wrong with you aaaaaaa).

unrelated but how do you as a writer like REALLY get in ur element and focus, because im pretty sure i have adhd and it makes it hard to focus and everything i try besides classical music (sometimes) doesnt work

and my second question how do you get people to view your work/participate in it, i've been writing for 3 years in the fandom and a few people notice, and i know im supposed 2 be writing just for myself and i am, but i wanted it to kind of be a whole family thing like everyone being excited for updates and its a whole thing... idk if maybe no one cares anymore or no one really knows me

thank you for reaching out and asking me this! I'm going to try my hardest to answer the best that I can (I thought I'd answer it before I left so I could help <3)

Getting focused and into the element

So I have ADHD as well and I know that getting focused can be tricky. Things that I do/have to help keep me focused are:

Writing Sprints - I sprint in Discord Servers with my friends and we all keep each other motivated and encourage each other

Discord Servers - So I'm in some really wonderful servers where we're all happy to cheer each other on writing wise (I'm going to link them in another part)

Inspiration- So, for most of my fics, I have a playlist that suits the theme and I try my hardest to make moodboards for them to get the feel of the fic. I'll also plan dialogue or even the layouts of flats/houses so I feel inspired to write about them.

I asked some friends in my Discord Server for help as well and this was their responss:

I don’t know about others, but usually having a deadline freaks me out enough to make me wanna complete my fic, even if it’s on the day of posting. And for that, I join fic fests. How that also helps me is because I also tend to tell myself that I owe it to the mod to complete the fic or else they’ll feel disappointed (and not tell me), so for their sake I need to complete fics. Joining fic fests also helps in the viewership of your fic, so once you have participated in a few fests, you might find it easier to build a somewhat decent enough crowd that enjoy your writing and want to read your stories. The first thing I'd like to say here is that you shouldn't define your work by statistics/interactions (a bit like what you said). Having said that, there are a few ways to try and increase your circle:

Make mutuals - There are some amazing people on this site who go out of their way to support each other. Try and get to know new people and interact with them.

Join Discord Servers - The servers I am currently in are amazing servers. My two main ones are @1d-library (ran by @larrysballetslippers and @larry-hiatus ) and @new-writers-discord (ran by me, @red-pandaaa @larrysballetslippers @hellolovers13 @babyhoneyheslt and @rockstarlwt28 ). 1D Library is a place for readers and writers to hangout, discuss fics, writing or day to day life. The New Writers Discord is a recent Discord server where we have New Writers, Writers and Mentors who write all types of stories (fics, original works, etc.). We have sprinting parties, workshops and are always there to help if need be.

Tagging Systems - this post contains all the tracked 1D tags where certain accounts will reblog posts with those tags. This is extremely useful for people who make things in the fandom.

Have fun - Try and enjoy yourself in the process. Interact with new people and make friends, create things for yourself as well as others.

Hi anon! I hope you're having a good day as well. This request made me so happy. Not just because it's a brand new request, but because it's the first one involving one of my OCs. Anon, I must say you kinda read my mind lol. I was actually planning a similar plot line for 'More Than A Shadow.' You beat me to it :P So no, it's not weird at all. Anyway, I apologize for the delay. I hope you enjoy it!

“Surprise!” Azusa exclaimed with the rest of the team as they surprised Miyuki in the meeting room. 

Miyuki looked around perplexed. “What is this?” he asked, taking everything in. The room was decorated with banners, strings, balloons, and a big “Happy Birthday” sign. There was also a table filled with different plates of food and at the center of them all the birthday cake. 

“Happy Birthday!” Azusa said in response with a big smile plastered on her face. “Do you like your surprise?” she asked excitedly, pointing out to the room behind her. 

The catcher took another look at the room and then at her. “A surprise birthday party?” he asked, mild shock still lingering in his tone. 

The manager nodded. “Yes, everyone helped out.” 

“Hyahaha! Look at his face! He totally wasn’t expecting it!” Kuramochi snickered along with other players. 

“You guys are not that good at keeping secrets,” Miyuki smirked. “I knew something weird was going on. But I’ll admit that I didn’t think it was going to be this… Who would’ve thought that you guys actually liked me this much?” he teased. 

“Shut up you bastard!” Kuramochi exclaimed. 

“Is that the way to speak to me on my birthday?” Miyuki asked, feigning offense. 

“Fine,” Kuramochi spat. “Happy birthday you bastard and shut up!” the shortstop exclaimed instead, making everyone laugh. 

“Alright, thank you for this guys,” Miyuki said with sincerity. “This was nice of you. I know you so I know that everyone must be dying to eat and mingle, so go!” the captain said pointing towards the food. He didn’t have to say it twice as many people disappeared as soon as he said that. 

While the party started, many people such as Testsu-san, Chris-senpai, and Nabe came up to Miyuki to congratulate him. 

Azusa stood aside and went to mingle but without taking her eyes off Miyuki. She wanted to make sure that he was enjoying himself. She asked him if he liked the party but he didn’t answer her question which unnerved her. Did she do something wrong? Part of her seemed to think so, but the other part wasn’t so sure. He was mingling with other people, laughing and teasing as always. She and the managers even went to him with the sushi that they made so he could give them his honest opinion. Which to Azusa was more like masochism. Deep down they knew that he was going to give them at least one critique, but the allure of getting his approval, even if it was just once, was too tempting to resist. 

As if freaking out over the possibility that he was probably hating her for throwing a surprise birthday party wasn’t enough, there was something else bothering her. The birthday gift. Miyuki’s birthday gift to be more precise. She had it ready weeks in advance but now was sweating and getting anxious over giving it to him. She tried to play it cool while she and Takako called everyone to gather around the cake and sing happy birthday. But now that everyone was eating the cake it was the perfect chance to give it to him. Yes, she could’ve just walked up to him and given him the gift and then walk away. That would’ve been the sensible thing to do. 

But no, that made too much sense. So naturally, Azusa opted out of leaving the room altogether with the gift in hand. What if others teased her for giving him a gift?  What if he teased her? What if he didn’t like it and thought it was stupid along with the party? 

‘I’m such an idiot,’ the manager whined to herself as she slid her back on the wall next to the entrance. ‘I’ve always been a bit insecure around him but this is too much. When did things get so complicated? Is it because he is captain now? Because we’re older?’ she lost herself in her thoughts. 

“So there you are,” she heard Miyuki’s voice from behind her which startled her a bit. Azusa didn’t say anything as she watched him close the door behind him, and walk around to face her. “What are you doing here?” he asked. 

Azusa shrugged. “I just needed a bit of air,” she replied. 

“Hmmm. I think that’s my line considering that it’s my birthday,” he teased. 

Azusa rolled her eyes. “Anyone can say that. We’re all in the same place.” 

Miyuki chuckled. “Are you sure that is all?” 

“What do you mean?” 

“Nothing is bothering you?” 

Azusa’s pulse quickened. How did he almost always knew when something was bothering her?

“No, I’m fine,” she lied. 

The catcher just stared at her into her blue eyes as he shoved his hands in his pockets, making a noncommittal sound. 

Azusa replied with another noncommittal sound of her own while she held his intense stare. Shortly after, he broke the eye contact as his eyes travelled down to her legs and feet which made her heart race again. 

“What is that?” he asked, pointing to a red small bag that was sitting on the ground next to her feet. 

A blush quickly spread across the manager’s cheeks. “I… Uh…” she trailed off before gulping a thick lump down her throat. Why was she so nervous? It was a gift for the birthday boy. That’s what you do for people on their birthdays, you give them gifts. 

She met his expectant gaze and then looked away. Azusa bent down slightly to pick it up and handed it over to him. “It’s a gift.” 

“A birthday gift?”

“Yes, a birthday gift,” she clarified, not daring to look at him. 

“Well, let’s see what we got here,” Miyuki said. She heard him opening the bag as soon as he made contact with the white wrapping paper. After he tore the paper a bit, he pulled out the gift from the bag. She now couldn’t withstand the curiosity and turned to him to see his reaction. 

“A scarf,” he said to one in particular as he held it out in the air. It was a knit red scarf that she made just for him. 

“Do you like it?” she asked timidly, with a blush still adorning her face. 

Miyuki bored his brown eyes into her blue ones again without a response. He then gave her a warm smile. “Yes, I like it. I like it very much,” he replied, wrapping the scarf around his neck. “Did you make it?” 

The manager nodded. “Hai.” 

“Really? That’s impressive Azu-chan. Who would’ve thought?” he jokingly complimented. 

Azusa gave him a half-smile. “So you really like it?” 

Miyuki let out a small laugh. “Yes, I do.” 

That made Azusa’s heart jump in joy. “And the surprise party? Did you like it too? “ 

The catcher smiled at her once again. “Yes, I liked it very much. I enjoyed myself.” 

“Did you really?” she asked, unconvinced. 

Miyuki narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “Why do you think I’m lying?” 

Azusa averted her gaze in embarrassment. “It’s just that you didn’t say anything when I first asked you.” she explained. 

Her response took the catcher by surprise a bit.  

“That’s why I wasn’t sure whether you liked the party or not,” she continued, looking down at her feet. 

Suddenly Azusa felt something warm touch her chin. She quickly realized that it was Miyuki’s hand. He softly moved her chin up so she could meet his eyes. “I’m sorry Azusa,” he said in a quiet sincere tone which surprised her. 

Azusa blinked in confusion. 

“It was not my intention to make it seem as if I hated the party or that I was unappreciative. That couldn’t be further from the truth,” the catcher explained. 

“Then what was it?” 

“It’s just… It’s just that I wasn’t expecting it at all,” he tried to explain. “I haven’t had a birthday party ever since my mother passed away, much less a surprise birthday party. I didn’t think that anyone would care enough to throw me a party,” Miyuki added sheepishly, averting his gaze. 

Azusa widened her eyes, not expecting that type of response from him. She never gave it too much thought. But in reality, he had been very isolated before coming to Seido. His only friends were Mei and herself but they never attended the same middle school. Also, she knew that he didn’t have the best relationship with his previous teammates even though he didn’t talk about it. She felt like an idiot again. 

“Of course, we care enough. I care,” she replied with conviction, forgetting all about the nervousness and embarrassment that she was feeling previously. “I’ll always care about you.” 

Now it was Miyuki’s turn to blush while she was cool as a cucumber. He couldn’t bare to look at her and awkwardly scratched his cheek. “Arigatou, Azusa. For organizing the birthday party, for the gift, for caring,” he turned to her slightly for the last part. 

Azusa gave him a big smile and didn’t think about it, as she enveloped him in a hug that completely took him off guard. 

“Happy Birthday Kazuya.”

starting this off by saying that i’m a v superstitious person so i have thought abt this a lot while writing it and hm.

i think barty giving evan the bracelet was kinda? delaying the inevitable? (evan dying. he was always meant to die first) so if barty hadn’t given him the bracelet, nothing bad would’ve even happened to him. he wouldn’t have died. (the he in question is barty. he doomed himself by giving evan the bracelet.)

i like to believe that if he hadn’t given evan the bracelet, he would’ve died when he got shot. that’s actually kinda the symbolism of the bracelet breaking. yknow with jade bracelets how they break when they ‘serve their purpose’ aka just ward off enough negative energy? it’s the same with evan’s bracelet, it protected him when he got shot! that’s why he didn’t die! and that’s why it broke! because (🥁🥁🥁) it served its purpose!

sooo the ending would’ve probably looked like barty killing himself to be with evan. or maybe he didn’t. i honestly don’t know this guy’s brain is so difficult sometimes. but i dont think he would’ve been able to live without evan sooo…do with that what you will!

You wonder why Akaashi looks suddenly pained. 

It’s just an innocent question that Bokuto posed to you: whether you’ve ever kissed a boy before. 

The question came up because Konoha was complaining that he’s far too shy to even kiss his girlfriend on his cheek, to which you’d told him rather snappishly that a kiss is nothing to be nervous about, as long as he asks his girlfriend for permission and she agrees. In your defence, you’ve been annoyed with Konoha for whining about it almost every day after practice. You’d much rather take the walk home after school to worry about the chemistry and physics homework that you have in your bag. 

So you answer without thinking - yes. 

The boys holler and hoot, clamouring over each other to demand who is it, who stole your first kiss. Rolling your eyes at their nonsense, you jab your thumb in Akaashi’s direction. 

“We were five and I needed a husband for my tea party.”

The boys explode (save for Akaashi, who seems stricken by a hacking cough), Konoha shouting indignantly that such kisses don’t count, Komi asking whether you have any photo evidence of this (you do, but you’d rather die than show them) and Bokuto thumping Akaashi on the back for being a sly dog so young in life. 

You’re thankful to reach the junction where you and Akaashi turn off in the direction of your homes because the team’s noise is causing a headache to brew underneath your temple. But the silent companionship you usually share with Akaashi is marred by the pucker in his brow. 

“What’s up, ‘kaashi?”

You are not prepared for Akaashi to answer your casual question by stopping in your tracks with a hand on your shoulder and a frown on his face. 

“That kiss doesn’t count.”

“Wha- “

The words on the tip of your tongue die as he tilts your face up towards him. 

“May I?” he whispers, swallowing your whispered yes as he presses his lips to yours. 

It’s just a brush of his lips but it’s enough to remind you that he’s no longer the chubby cheeked five year old boy who’d read you his favourite stories in the shade with his quiet voice. No - he’s seventeen and unfairly tall and breathtakingly intelligent and oh my god you like him.

And from the look in his dark eyes and the kiss still tingling on your lips, he likes you too. 

“I suppose that counts then”, you tell him later when you finally find your voice. 

There’s an uncharacteristic twinkle in his eye that makes you wonder whether it’s a trick of the light.

see, the thing is that you were not born in a “i have it all” family type of environment. you lived well, yes. but it’s for sure that your family did struggle way too many times in their way of spending money.

but until now you never thought about this new insecurity, one that came up with the fact that todoroki and momo would actually look great together.

you tried to take those thoughts away, but your dear classmates were not helping at all.

the rambling of momo being a super match to shouto was getting louder and louder every second to you.

so you didn’t know any other answer that hug him in gratitude.

he was shocked, he never received some kind of display of pure love affection before.

but something in the way you did made him feel better. almost as if your hugs were some magical potion to the answer of everything he needed.

he felt so warm with you between his arms that he didn’t mind staying like this for a couple more minutes.

You hadn’t sent it dear, it’s okay! I’m sorry for the delay, I’ve been awful at writing scenarios lately, but I hope you like this!

Katsuki first started to notice the little changes in your attitude when you showed up to a date one day, wearing your sleeves a bit longer than usual and looking down, refusing to even grab his hands as he knew you liked to do. He said nothing as he looked for your touch anyways and when you shyly complied he noticed the bright blush that tinted your cheeks and the pout on your lips, but he thought it was only because of him and held you tightly as you walked together to your favourite fast food place.

The worry that something could be happening when you were away from him at your own school appeared on his mind when he picked you up a Saturday afternoon after some supplementary classes you had - you almost ran off the place and threw yourself into his arms, your eyes red and puffy but he wouldn’t push the subject, instead choosing to walk away as fast as he could to get you somewhere you’d feel more comfortable. You were shaking when you hugged him, and it infuriated him to think someone could be doing something bad to you.

It wasn’t until the first time he visited your house that he decided to take matters into his own hands; he was just sitting in your bed, waiting for you to get changed at your bathroom when your phone buzzed on top of the bed. Katsuki wasn’t one to pry on your privacy but the constant vibrations annoyed him greatly and prompted him to sit up and grab it, ready to tell whoever was bothering your afternoon together to piss off when he read the ongoing chain of messages coming from someone saved only as Nina.

He could’ve assumed it was one of your girl friends by the way you seemed to know her and that she seemed to be aware of his presence at your house, but the way she referred to you as ‘miss Piggy’ and referred to him as a ‘farmer who took care of a pig and only settled’ for you made him feel sick to his stomach. As he heard you calling out to him from the other side of the bathroom door, asking if everything was okay as he was really quiet, he just said, “It’s all good - hurry up and come back here so I can can cuddle the shit out of you.” Quickly tapping on your phone, he opened the camera and took a selfie with his middle finger up and the most conceited smile he could make, sending it to the girl with the simple caption, ‘This fucking farmer will kick your ass if you don’t stop already.’

Katsuki sent it just as you came back to your bedroom, a horrified expression appearing on your face as you noticed he had your phone on his hands, but he just looked at you with anger. He knew very well that he could be persuasive if he wanted it, and that was one of the times he was decided to get his way. “What are you doing?” you asked slowly, crossing your arms in an attempt to seem intimidating despite the fear on your face, but he wasn’t going to be swayed by it - he never was. “T-that’s mine, Katsuki.”

“And you’re mine and I should know if something’s bothering you, don’t you think? We’re not really playing by the fucking rules here.” While he didn’t want to be overly abrasive with the way he talked to you, he did feel like you needed to understand that he was worried, and that was the only way he could speak his mind properly. “So, are you going to tell me about this Nina thing? Were you ever going to let me know?”

You looked away, clearly embarrassed - his own mind was racing with the different things that could’ve been said to you during the time you were together, or even before because he was sure it wasn’t a new problem you had to deal with. “It’s nothing you could change,” you said with your shoulders down and looking defeated, turning your attention back to him with teary eyes and a sad smile. “It has nothing to do with you, really; it’s just me, and this stupid body of mine. It’s been like that for years, and even if I tried to lose a bit of weight they’d still go on about how… I’m a pig, how no one would love me and if I ever found someone to be with me I’d crush them with my body.”

Walking towards the bed, you sat next to him but refused to meet his gaze; he had to stop himself from pinning you down and showering you with kisses and compliments, understanding you still needed to get things out of your system. “And how do they know about me?” he asked, wondering if he really wanted to know.

“They saw a few pictures when one of them stole my phone for the day,” you explained. “They tried to question me and thought I was lying when I said you attend Yuuei - it was the first time I’ve been pushed so hard against a wall.” His face contorted into an unreadable expression, rage filling his every fiber as he listened to you, but that was the cherry on top of everything else. “It hasn’t happened against since then, but they don’t miss the chance to tell me that I don’t deserve someone as good as you. Maybe they’re right.”

Grabbing your arm he pulled you towards him, wrapping his arms around your chubby form with strength enough to make you gasp. He closed his eyes and felt like crying, thinking that he wasn’t doing his job right as you were suffering because of him - he didn’t like feeling powerless when it came to something he wanted, and here these girls were the biggest obstacle between you and your happiness, something he needed to see you experiencing through every moment of your life. “Don’t ever say that again,” Katsuki almost hissed in your ear, and he noticed the hair on your skin standing up. “Don’t you dare speak like that again. I’d give my all for you to understand just how beautiful you are; your curves are part of you and you can bet your ass you look amazing with them. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise let me know and I’ll have… a word with them myself.”

“But don’t you think you could be with someone who looked better with you as well?”

“You look great next to me (y/n),” he retorted as he pulled away, his hands still on your shoulders. His eyes burned straight through you and noticed you were completely serious in your words. “And I’m happy with you. That’s all the reassurement I need to know that I want you in my life - you’re more than I deserve, that’s why I’m so amazed at the fact that you’ve been able to stick with me for so long now. I’m so fucking happy it’s unreal, and it’s all thanks to you. I couldn’t care less about what you look like because to me you’re just the most beautiful girl I’ve ever laid my eyes on.”

You seemed to think for a moment, maybe trying to see if he was lying, but soon you relaxed under his touch and leaned on his arm, a sigh escaping your lips. The both of you stood like that for a moment as silence took the room over and Katsuki felt his expression soften just by having close to him, wanting nothing more than just keep you away from whatever thing or person that could harm you in any way. You were strong and he knew it, but the need to protect you and make you feel cherished was just as big as your heart.

“How do you always manage to say just what I need to hear?” you said quietly.

He knew you all too well, would’ve been the easier answer. He wanted only to see you happy next to him and to kick your insecurities away from your heart, relieving you of all pain. It would’ve been the easiest answer. He just loved you too much as you were, was the hard one he hadn’t had the courage to admit.

“I guess I just want to try and make you feel comfortable with yourself the most I can,” he said instead, “I wouldn’t want my girl to feel down like that, especially when she’s pretty fucking hot already with her chubbiness.” You laughed for the first time in what felt like forever although it had only been half an hour, and he felt his heart jumping in his chest as he looked down at your form before bringing you close to him and lying down, your head hidden on the crook of his neck as he wrapped an arm around your waist - this time, you offered no resistance at all. “Now tell me babe,” he added, a plan starting to form in his mind and a smile on his lips. “This Saturday you have to go to school again, right?”

“Yeah, I have to take the classes until the midterms if I want to pass; why?”

He didn’t reply however, and he closed his eyes before he felt you looking up at him; if you could’ve guessed what he was thinking, he was sure you’d rush to try and stop him from doing anything you could consider reckless. Don’t worry love, he told himself, I’ll make sure no one says a single fucking bad thing about you again - those damn extras will learn not to mess with the one I love.

What brushes do you use in fire alpaca??  i dont do much in firealpaca (esp not lately lol) but when i did use it a lot i just used the fill bucket and the standard/default brush to fill in gaps n such lol! i dont really draw in it, i used flash/adobe animate for the lineart and just fill in color in firealpaca :3

when did you start animating?   uhh when i was around 11 or 12 when i started digital art i guess? i just used photoshop for the longest time then got flash when i was like 15 or so

i really like your art style gosh darn!!! everythings so fluid and stylized and nice aaa (also ur animations are goals) do u have any tips for someone still developing their artstyle????  WAH TYSM!!!!! compile art you already like and incorporate aspects from their styles into yours, BUT dont limit urself to one style! if u like something then try it out! do straight up copies (as PRACTICE, DONT CLAIM IT as your own ofc) of stuff you like to see how they work and what you’re clicking with. spending time on fundamentals is MEGA helpful so keep going back to that too! USE REFERENCES!!! draw …from ur soul…what makes u ..FEEL good

 how do you make that burn effect on your lineart? it makes it your pieces look sharper and even more interesting, it’s super cool!!  when i used to use flash for lineart and firealpaca for coloring a lot, setting the lineart layer on BURN with the coloring layer seeping a lil past the lineart would get this effect automatically 

(like on the whiskers. u can see it gets a brighter brown(?) and the warmer yellow on the ears)

but since then i’ve been using sai+photoshop more so i just do it manually! i’ll use this funny pic of me and my cat as an example lol

^i select the lineart/everything i want the funky color around

^slam that INCREMENT button a couple times

^make a new layer under the lineart

^fill that puppo with ur preferred color! something brighter works best, or even straight up white

that’ll give you something like this

then i open it in photoshop

and i mess with the pink line layer’s blending mode..color burn usually does the trick but depending on the Look you’re going for, saturation, multiply and overlay have some similar effects that look cool. 

i also usually get rid of the outermost edge of pink line that’s visible around the lineart, just so it looks a little cleaner? to do that you just select around your lineart, increment/expand selection, and delete/erase in the selection of the pink line layer

uhh yeah! lmk if anyone needs clarification on this, i have some other #TIPS on makin ur art look crusty and funky so…lemme know if you’re interested :—3

What do you use to animate? And, a more specific question, how do you make transparent animated gifs? adobe animate 2017! (previously flash) i export my animation from flash as a png sequence then open it in photoshop, where the background will be transparent and save it as a gif from there nyaaa

Like, when you draw shapes for a certain character, it looks rlly like it fits with the character’s personality n stuff!! ( e.g: Your Love Live! drawings!! The characters look so good in your style.) TYSM!!! and YEA you basically guessed it, i mainly just think about the character’s personality and translate that into a shape or Pheeling… 

especially for anime characters i look at the Very Subtle differences in the character’s original design..or possibly canon implications…for example kotori has slightly different eyes (it also says on her wiki page she has soft droopy eyes!) so i make sure to incorporate that Detãile

 anime wiki pages that have details like that is nice, for love live they have cute lil “charm points” which is really cool n helpful! listening to how a character is described in their world can give clues to what differentiates them which you can make more clear in your design

taking into account each characters context is good too, what they do/hobby/personality and how that could affect their appearance/posture/attitude

 YEAH its really fun to figure out certain characteristics and make it evident in their appearance! or. idk thats just what i do lol. hopefully this helps!

hell0 thank you <3 yeah hispanic people are very diverse, especially with varying nationalities, and especially with puerto ricans. i personally know a lot of puerto ricans who are white passing so it’s really not that uncommon. everyone’s different, and as eir said, white passing POC are still POC!

second of all it IS going to be ok, you shouldn’t force yourself to do something you hate if it’s really impeding on your mental health that much. it’s not good for you in the long run, even if it pays well. like, at what cost do you want to sell yourself in order to make money? my point is you made a good decision but lacked the foresight, which luckily is something that can be remedied easily. (well...hopefully, but job hunting is never easy :\ ) if you’re still in this situation by the time your bills and everything catch up to you, you can always seek help from family and friends or look into loans...find someone (or multiple people) who will stick by you and support you through this, because this is something way too hard to do alone. (if you don’t have anyone, i’m here for you ;-; ) i honestly don’t have any good advice for finding another job because tbh that’s something i always flounder in, and i’m gonna have to do the same thing by the time i finish up school in the next month AHHHHH

hmmmmm i kinda get a weird shiny glitch too but it’s only with certain things, and it’s usually remedied by clicking on the sim’s different outfit categories until it goes away lol. but if it’s on ALL of the hairs...hmm...i’m assuming you’re talking about alpha? because i don’t think clay hairs usually have that problem. check if laptop mode is on, if it is, turn it off!! that’s the only solution i can think of :{

no but really...it’s hard. i’m glad i’m so into this story/eager to see all your reactions to it because otherwise the chaos of my life would’ve definitely deterred me from moving along with it a while ago. that’s basically the reason i’m so surprised i even made it this far tbh. i accomplished so much more than i ever thought i would. ;__;

i don’t have an answer for this question because i DO often feel overwhelmed and i have to take a step back and remind myself it’s not the end of the world if i don’t have time to go in game or edit or whatever. i think it’s because i set up this timeline for myself in terms of goals i want to reach with my story throughout the rest of the year and i get frustrated with myself when those plans become delayed because of other obligations. (for example i definitely thought baby wallace would’ve been born by now lmao syke) i was getting burnt out very easily before, which is why i’ve been taking it slower lately (that and i’ve been working a lot more so i don’t have as much free time as i used to :\ ) the good thing about having different characters tho is that when i get burnt out on one thing i can just switch over to another thing at an opportune time (which is what i’ve always done with santi and girooni)

anyway yeah i am kinda organized (in my own weird way) in terms of story planning, controlling the pacing and key events, and that’s definitely the reason i’m able to post so frequently. i used to have multiple free days a week where i could go in game for long amounts of time and get lots of scenes done at once, but at this point in my current schedule i just basically go in game whenever i'm free from the clutches of capitalism (jk we’re never free save us bernie) which means i only have time to do like one thing in game but it seems to be working just as well so far.

im glad i pretty much got it. i can really relate to everything going on. i can see a lot of myself in santi and molly & i get it. the movies make you think you fall in love and everythings fixed like they fill that void in your soul and i mean sure they fill parts of it but you need to do that yourself and not rely on someone else. Your story is real and you can tell your writing from personal experience because theres so much feeling. u think ur fixing urself and u end up more hurt in the end

i’m so glad you can relate ;-; i think that’s one of my proudest accomplishments so far. i mean santi has always been relatable for me because he IS me...or at least partly me, just like all my characters are. but i never thought anyone else would feel the same way, so it means so much to me that people enjoy him as a character because of that.

anyway YES exactly. i hate the “no one’s going to love you if you don’t love yourself” mentality, i think it’s a toxic way of looking at the benefits of genuine self love. the sentiment behind it is true, but it’s a backwards way of looking at it. someone’s else’s love shouldn’t be your motivation, your own love toward yourself should be your motivation. when you look at it in the other way, you do end up getting more hurt in the end.

ummM I DON’T ACTUALLY because i get all my light leaks off google lmao. i have a folder of all the ones i’ve collected over time lmao

you could probably easily make some with the paintbrush in overlay mode with varying opacities tho? i’ve tried to replicate this a few times actually, but the rest of the time i just use light leaks made by other people lol

LATELY i’ve been just enjoying playing the game because i’ve gotten burnt out on story things and just playing is such a nice break from it haha. whenever i have to wait in game for it to be a certain time of day for story purposes, i go play with girooni for a few sim hours to pass the time and it’s fun for me lmao. i’m looking forward to my story winding down so i can get back to doing more gameplay things like i did before but at the same time i’ll always do at least something story related because i like the sense of direction it gives y’know.

i’ve never actually tried any challenges, not even just regular old legacies because i would always either get sick of the sims i was playing with or get too attached to them and not want to go to a new generation lmao. i was never interested in any challenges tbh. i like watching other people do bachelor(ette) challenges tho heheh
