Build Up Episode 1: Don’t Go
Tumblr media
Hello and welcome back to my Build Up recaps! In the last one, we covered the first two “Pre-4” Mission performances -- If You and Every Moment of You. In this post, we’ll cover Don’t Go (Kajima) and wrap up episode 1, finally!
I found some decent links to watch the episodes.
Episode 1
Episode 2
I’m deliberately hiding them behind a read more since I’m not sure if MNET knows about them and/or if they’ll be there forever, so watch while you can!
Just a little note before we dive in -- I noticed after I had posted the previous one that Seunghun from CIX has braces!
Tumblr media
I’m just really surprised, because I would have guessed that his agency would have made him take them off for this show, or something. I’m glad he has them if he needs them, for sure -- it’s just a surprise. Knowing this helps explain why he smiles so strangely sometimes.
Anyway!
Don’t Go
The next performance is Kajima, Kajima (Don’t Go, Don’t Go).
A little about the song before we get to the performance. It was originally performed by a singing duo called Brown Eyes, which, per Wikipedia, is “considered one of South Korea's most important R&B groups, given their immense commercial success.” The duo consists of Yoon Gun and Naul, both of whom have gone on to do other stuff. Naul recently did a duo with Sung Sikyung, the guy who first sang Every Moment of You (the previous song on this show). The song Kajima, Kajima won the Best Ballad/R&B Performance award at the 2008 MNET Asian Music awards.
Kajima, Kajima is the miserable wail of a deserted lover begging their partner to come back. Some of the lyrics, per a blog I found: “Stupidly / I still live for you / Where are you? / I need you so much / Oh baby, my only one / Please stop and come back now / Just tell me this is a joke / Simply return to me.”
Mini Korean lesson: You might recognize the -jima ending from the GOT7 song Stop It, when they say “hajima, hajima” over and over (“hajima” means “don’t). And you heard the “ka” verb at the beginning of the Oneus song Lit, when they say, “Kaja!” (let’s go!) So ka is for go, and -jima is a negative command, so kajima is “don’t go”. Woot!
Kajima, Kajima is known for a really high note -- a high G#5. I would have to warm up to hit that note at all -- and I’m not confident I could hit it with much resonance. And I’m a mezzo-soprano -- it would be insane to hit that note as a tenor!  Like the other ballads on this show, it’s known for being particularly emotional, but in this case it’s also tricky to sing. That’s why the other guys call it a “hell song.”
So, who would want to take this song on? Why, mister high notes himself, Park Jeup.
Tumblr media
Park Jeup was second to choose and chose this song right off, but it took a while for anyone else to join him, to the point that he started to get nervous. But after a bit, 16th ranked Detective Donghun from A.C.E. chose it while there were still spots open in every song. It turns out that Donghun really wanted to sing Breath but chose this song so that he could work with Jeup. Aww! They were on I Can See Your Voice 4 together, so Donghun may have admired Jeup’s voice for a while. They’re “chingus” in the sense that they were born in the same year, 1993, and in Korean culture having someone around who is the same age as you is sort of meaningful, almost like when you meet someone from your home country when you’re abroad.
Tumblr media
“Will I be able to sing this song well?” … “I’m sure you’ll do well.”
Also, Donghun proved he’s not scared to tackle tough material when he did an EXO song for his teaser performance.
By the time Neon chose the song, Ditto, Tomboy, and Shall I Love You Again  were closed, but he seems to choose this song without hesitation. By the time 36th place Hyukjin choose it, the only songs open were this song, Every Moment Of You (the one we just saw), or Breath, but I think he might have really wanted this song anyway. Based on his teaser performance -- that wild metal performance -- he also likes to tackle tough material. (Hyukjin was also born in 1993, making him also a chingu to Jeup and Donghun. Neon is a little younger, about 28 years old.)
In my original assessment of Jeup, I noted that I loved his technique but wasn’t sure about his timbre, but that I’d give him a chance to grow on me. For Hyukjin, I recognized the ambition of what he tried to do and again decided to reserve judgment. About Neon, I said that he has nice, clean vocals, with good technique and a lot of power. And I said that Donghun has an appealing warm vocal color with good breath support, but strains his throat a bit. If I had to pick a favorite voice of the four based on their teaser song, I’d choose Neon, but Donghun wouldn’t be too far behind. This is a group of powerful vocalists, regardless of the category they chose, and I am hopeful that it will turn out well.
The group seems pretty happy to all be working together, and they view each other as talented colleagues, which might make it tricky to divvy up the parts. They’re all really good, so who should sing what?
Tumblr media
Look at how shiny Hyukjin’s suit is! Those gray lines are just lights reflecting off of creases in the material.
They begin singing the song a bit to test out the waters, and Jeup’s strong clear tenor fills the studio. Over in team Beautiful, Lim Sang Hyun wonders out loud, “Is that the original song playing?”
Tumblr media
LTR: Lim Sanghyun, Taewoo, Jeong Yunseo, Kim Minseo
They take turns singing a bit and they all sound fantastic. They’re not really sure what to do, because Jeup doesn’t want to take the verse, which he thinks is too low for him, and so he wants to do the chorus, which is a long part. Donghun also wants to do that long part, but decides that it suits Jeup more and decides to do a different part that is more emotional, even if it’s shorter. The rest of the part distribution goes well.
Then we go into a mini montage of Donghun’s struggles in his life. He’s always wanted to sing, and went on various shows to make that happen, but though he made top 10 of Superstar K5 that wasn’t quite good enough, and then he made the debut lineup of that shitshow that was MIXNINE but of course that group didn’t debut. He thought that debuting (in A.C.E.) would make it ok, but it didn’t. I beg to differ, sir! People really like A.C.E.! But I guess it’s not like A.C.E. have hit the highs of BTS and Seventeen, so I understand what he’s saying. “Actually the survival program itself was a bit of a trauma for me,” he adds, and I feel that. These shows seriously should gift each contestant at least 20 hours of a post-show mental health counseling.
The guys are meeting in some sort of staff room, probably at one of their agencies. Looks like three of them were drinking something cool, but smart Jeup is drinking something hot. Cold stuff is bad for your throat, my friends. Jeup knows where it’s at.
Tumblr media
Left to right: Hyukjin, Neon, Donghun, and Jeup
Tumblr media
Also, I think Jeup looks so much nicer with his hair this way, sort of parted and brushed back, instead of down over his face like bangs.
Anyway, at this meeting, Donghun is saying, “I want us to decide what kind of thoughts we’ll have when we sing this song, so that we have a unified approach. The song title is Don’t Go, Don’t Go. We can make it about our dreams. I haven’t seen my dream lately, and I hope it comes to me now.”
The editors play some sad piano music as Donghun’s words sink in. All four of them know what he’s talking about. Honestly, Hyukjin and Jeup know what he means even more than he does -- A.C.E. is about 100x more popular than Jeup’s group was, and about 100,000x more popular than Hyukjin’s current group.
Tumblr media
Hyukjin, partly quoting from the song, says, “Living like a fool is heartbreaking. But we keep living like fools.” Then he smiles incredulously, as if he almost can’t believe that he’s made that connection. Donghun has really hit a nerve here.
Donghun agrees with Hyukjin, and says, “yes, we keep singing like fools.” He interviews that he wants to reclaim his dream and get it back.
As the lights go down on performance day, Donghun voiceovers, I want to sing my heart out with no regrets.
Here’s the full version, no reactions.
My thoughts:
Damn, that was good.
Tumblr media
Let me nitpick for just a few seconds. Yes, Hyukjin’s voice is a little thin and he strained on the highest notes, and Jeup’s voice is a bit too high in timbre to be my favorite, and Donghun’s voice still sounds strained, like he must be hurting his throat.
But it all ended up working. I don’t know, man, this was good. For one thing, all the voices are really good individually, and then they also are a great mix. You’ve got the slightly tart Jeup, like a strawberry. You’ve got the bright voice of Hyukjin, like a raspberry. You’ve got the slightly challenging voice of Donghun, a pineapple. And then the smoothest voice, Neon, as a slice of banana mixed in to smooth the whole thing down. It fucking works. I don’t even like this song and I liked listening to their performance. I mean, this is going on my playlist, you guys. This is good shit.
I particularly like Neon’s voice, even though I recognize that it’s not quite as powerful or well trained as the others’. To me, he sounds just a little like Do Kyungsoo and that’s just about the highest compliment I can give to a singer.
Also, damn, I don’t normally talk about this kind of thing exactly but Park Jeup, in addition to being a real sweetheart, is a really good looking dude. I’m not made of steel, you guys.
Tumblr media
Those cheekbones! Those shoulders! Am I alone on this…?
The MNET edit, like all the edits so far, is pretty restrained. I guess they told their editors to not do a whole bag of coke before they sat down to their editing control panel. There are a few instant replays of high notes, but they’re blended in to the background mix so it’s not so jarring to listen to.
All the reaction shots are positive. We see the judges just loving all of them. Vocal Coach Guy even asks, “wait, is this live or playback?” The love seems slightly more focused on Jeup and Donghun, less so on Neon and even less so on Hyukjin, but all four of them get some love, which is nice.
Tumblr media
Solar likes it. I think. I guess? Not sure.
Tumblr media
She’s excited Jeup hit that one high note! She tries to hit it too and kind of can’t!
Backstage, the guys all kind of fall over hearing Jeup’s high note. They almost can’t believe it. Hwanhee kind of hits his own knees with his hands involuntarily.
When they’re done, the judges give them a standing ovation!
Tumblr media
They lavish praise on all of them, again focusing a little less on Hyukjin and a little more on Donghun. They think that the four of them could just debut as a group the way they are. Basically, the judges agree with me, so that’s good.
Vocal Coach Guy points out that Jeup doesn’t just hit high notes -- he sings with emotions. Then he adds that Jeup has nice shoulders, so that was funny. Wendy asks about Jeup’s range, and he says that he can sing any male song, that they’re all in his range.
Dahee says that it was nothing but compliments, so the question is, who could win? Backstage, the boys aren’t sure either. No one floats Hyukjin’s name as top tier, but the other three get named, and the boys think that all four were excellent.
Tumblr media
So, who wins…?
Tumblr media
Baekho, Solar, and Vocal Coach Guy all vote for Donghun from A.C.E.
Eunkwang and Jaehwan vote for Neon, and Wendy votes for Park Jeup.
So, Donghun wins! Vocal Coach Guy lavishes a bit more praise on him, saying that it was an easy choice to pick Donghun because his voice is so good.
And then, oh guys, it’s so sad. Donghun starts to cry, saying it’s the first time he’s been recognized like this.
Tumblr media
The judges are a little uncomfortable because the “win” is kind of a minor one, and they’re surprised at his reaction. It’s like this is what Donghun has been waiting his whole life to hear.
Donghun adds that he didn’t expect to win, that he was focusing on working well with his team.
Backstage, the guys are like, oof, wouldn’t want to have to follow that!
So who is up next? Team Breath. The editors do that thing like they’re trying to trick you into thinking that the performance is starting, but the episode is almost over and this obviously just a teaser. Thanks, editors. Theditors.
Since we’re at the end of the episode, I’ll end the post here. Woo! Finally to the end of the first episode! I'm only two full episodes behind... great! Anyway, I'll see you in the next one, and thanks as always for reading. <3

trying to do some research on Pre-Collapse Earth. did Earth change after the Traveler’s arrival? like did countries or cultures change in any way?
Absolutely.
The Traveler's arrival completely changed all humanity knew and thought about everything. Just the simple existence of the Traveler and its arrival to the solar system was enough to shatter pretty much every single concept of human knowledge and science, without even touching on its powers and paracausality.
It fundamentally changed humanity and how we relate to the world around us. Some believed we put too much trust in it. But overall, society changed due to the scientific and technological advancement that improved all human life at barely no cost.
This was the age of life, and governments did not, ever, use force against human beings. There were always alternatives. Every soul sacred. Every evil treatable.
Last Days on Kraken Mare
Last Days on Kraken Mare is really good for a lot of information about the Golden Age and how many changes happened to society. It's a pretty consistent theme about the Golden Age how cultures mixed together, which can be seen in names of pretty much every character from the Golden Age. This can also be seen through the history of the Bray family (more about them in posts here and here).
This one is interesting:
Mia van der Venne is more than 200 years old. Change comes faster, these days, and you live to see more of it. Changes like Ismail being allowed to pray not in the real direction of Mecca but in the direction Mecca would be if it were transposed from Earth to Titan. Changes like the rise and fall and rise again of the Bray cult of personality. Like the new worlds the Traveler opens up to humanity.
... as it shows how religions had to change and adapt to humanity's new way of life and interplanetary travel. As noted here, and in the posts I linked above in relation to the Brays, Islam seems to have thrived in the Golden Age and survived the Collapse. Other religions that we know of that were doing fine in the Golden Age are Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism, the latter having been confirmed to have survived the Collapse due to Lakshmi's comments here:
She playfully taps on all four of his hands. "I am named for an ancient goddess," she says, "with as many arms as you. In her hands are dharma, kama, artha, and moksha. Law, desire, meaning, and finally, liberation. Freedom from the war of death and rebirth."
War and general violence seems to have also been largely gone, as noted from the same lore tab:
"Are you threatening to shoot me?" Mia stares at the Exo woman in disbelief. She hasn't seen a gun in nearly 50 years, and now they are not only coming into her habitat, but they're also pointed at her.
Similar sentiments, about Golden Age being a time of peace, are mentioned a few other times as well.
There were the bad side-effects to this, obviously, most notably in the story of Clovis Bray and his company. Clovis Bray took the Traveler's gifts and the advancements of the Golden Age to an extreme that led him to commit incomprehensible atrocities for his own benefit. His entire journal is a good read, as well as confidential Bray Records lore book (though can be triggery with certain descriptions of medical stuff and violence).
Outside of just general idea about what the Earth was like during the Golden Age in regards to freedom from violence and wars, as well as obvious mixing between populations and cultures, we don't know many details about specific countries and how all of it worked. There are mentions of cities and areas, but not many details about the structure of countries and states.
The only one specifically described and mentioned several times is USA, consistently described as:
Nowhere outside the retro-nationalism of the North American Empire does any private organization have such sweeping, selfish authority over knowledge which should belong to the whole human commons—and at least the twin eagles are voluntary society, answerable to higher law! Clovis Bray reeks of the old unregulated capitalism.
And here:
"Some American you are," Mia teases him. David comes from the North American Empire, Earth's biggest voluntary retro-nationalist republic, full of people who love military pageantry and muscular aerospace displays.
I have a feeling Bungie has some strong opinions about the current state of the United States of America.

Lmao my friend turned her TV once and France scored then she switched the channel, came back and another goal for France akgsuahajjsjs I didn't care who won, so I wasn't in shambles I also didn't watch the match thoroughly, but I still felt some kind of tension especially during penalties. Ahhh that sucks for PSG, hopefully the management gets their shit together.
Omg the stadium view?!?! Baek do you have a big backyard, maybe they can play there
Pique is the villain seriously, I'm glad he's gone. I couldn't believe miss Shakira got with him?! Though she's not doing well these days, girlie 💩
I used to be a big Ronaldo fan, yes. Please Pepe was out of control 😭 chill and calm was never in his dictionary
And you didn't reveal your true colours to me then... 🐍that's why I can't watch PSG 😭 I didn't spend years seeing Ramos playing against Messi and Neymar to now see them together. I'm hateful 🔫 but what's going on with Benzema and France NT 😭 but also Zidane might be their new coach? 👀 I do love that bald headbutting man, ngl
Yep agreed about Mbappe, sadly there are some good players who just cannot work in a team if they're not the centre of attention. His skills are good, but he needs to think more, his head isn't always in the game.
Pretty sure Wooyoung would get RED, remember him during Kingdom's sport's day? Wooyoung in his Ramos era.
Every webtoon guy is a Hwa look-alike lmaoooo. Act Like You Love Me apparently gets a bit better, but it's still bad, the beginning was fun, but over 90 chapters in and this shit is insufferable. I read comments from Korean fans and they're pissed as well. I hate most of the characters at this point, it's TB 2.0. Buuut I read spoilers about For My Derelict Favorite and it doesn't seem to be going downhill so fingers crossed!
All the bear emoji users assemble, who do we have, Kai, Seulgi, Jongho, Beomgyu... they need to fight, the ultimate 🐻 battle
No one needs new SuperM members unless it's Key 👀 EXO's freedom era let's gooo
Wait BAP getting plagiarised, what?
I didn't know what to expect from that Devil Wears Prada thing, but? I agree, he looks cuter than Miranda though sjudishsjansjhshs
Not to be like this, but why wasn't Hwa featured in today's collab, he literally did the Rush Hour challenge 😭 come to think, he's never been in any collab, neither vocal nor dancing (except for Kingdom but it featured everyone so it doesn't count). My friend pointed out that he's in a weird position he's either treated as a vocalist, dancer and rapper or neither, so he gets kinda omitted... and Wooyoung wasn't in Rush Hour as well 🤔
But Hwa's full leather fit and Mingi's too wow
Ohhhh he's a pianist (his ass is not playing but 🤩)
AAAAAAAAAA WANT. Ha ha ha I have normal feelings about this
YSL model Park Seonghwa (real) I keep forgetting to re-read model Hwa...
Ok ok bestie listen because, Yunjin opera and Kazuha ballet?! And they covered The Boys? Ive did Karaaaaaa, someone covered WG too I think

LMFAOOOO 😭😭😭 i rly blamed france scoring on anything breathing at that point 😭i think the final had a very unsettling feeling (even w the city who hosted it) to it that increased at penalties, maybe it was mbappe’s face that was so relaxed and calm, scoring easily as the previous winners to agrentina’s hunger to bring the trophy in after decades,,, it was really a fight to the END, what a final but in the most unsettling way,,, hopefully psg does better! they got the best players they gotta make it useful!! also this tweet so true

Homecoming ~ Kim Junmyeon
Tumblr media
A light chuckle came from Junmyeon as he looked down yet again to see you staring back at him, unable to hide the smile that was on your face. His eyes rolled as he met yours, bringing his hand up to brush through your hair once again.
It was a feeling that you had missed, the comfort of being able to have Junmyeon hold onto you and know exactly what you wanted from him every time too.
“This still feels so surreal,” he murmured, looking away from you momentarily so that his eyes could look left and right, as far along the river as he could.
“Is it nice to be home?” You asked, “to be Suho again?”
His head nodded confidently in reply to you, “I got such a good reaction to my live earlier, it just reminded me how much I’ve missed everything whilst enlisted.”
“I told you that people missed you whilst you were gone,” you teased, prodding into his stomach, “this is why you should listen to me, I know what I’m talking about.”
Junmyeon’s head shook back at you, tickling his hand through your hair in retaliation, “it’s been almost two years, a lot’s changed in that time, plenty of new groups too.”
“But you’re Exo,” you reminded him, “you’re not just any K-pop group Junmyeon.”
He smiled appreciatively back down at you, looking down from the river again, noticing the smile on your face. “And how about you? How does it feel for you to have me home? To have your idol partner back again rather than a public service worker?”
“I’m excited,” you confirmed, feeling your stomach knot at the thought of Junmyeon being an idol again, “I’ve missed being able to cheer you on and see you performing on stage.”
You continued to watch on as Junmyeon briefly closed his eyes, remembering the times that he loved, and the times that he was looking forward to again.
“I can’t wait to actually be there for you again,” Junmyeon suddenly spoke up as his eyes opened, “to spend time with you and do all of the things that I had to say no to.”
“You can just do whatever you want,” you encouraged, “and keep your phone too.”
Junmyeon’s hand reached down beside him, picking up the device, “I’m looking forward to not having to give this up for most of the day, to text and call you whenever I want.”
Your head nodded in agreement with Junmyeon, you too were looking forward to just being able to talk, without having to worry about what time of the day it was first before doing so.
“I wonder how long you’ll say that now you’re back working again.”
In the few hours you had spent together since Junmyeon’s discharge, you had lost count of the number of times his phone went. Managers, fellow artists, various members of staff all wanted to get in contact and bring him back down to earth.
“Oddly, it feels as if nothing has changed,” Junmyeon suddenly admitted, “I’ve waited so long to get all these irritating calls, I’m kind of pleased to finally have them.”
Little things were all signs that Junmyeon was home, things that not only he, but you too, had counted the days to in order to be able to be back with each other again.
“I think I could stay here forever, it’s nice to have nothing to worry about,” Junmyeon whispered.
You hummed in agreement with him, tilting your head to the left to look out at the river too, “I came here so many times whilst you enlisted, but it was never the same alone.”
“I used to dream about coming back here with you again when I was away.”
There were no words for Junmyeon to be able to tell you about his time away from you. He wished that he could express how often he thought of you, or how much his heart hurt when he thought of you, but each time, words failed him.
“Have the boys all looked after you too?” He then asked you, “Sehun mentioned that when I was at work the other day, he took you out for lunch.”
“They’ve followed your orders perfectly.”
“I said that I’d pay for drinks as a thank you when we go out tomorrow,” he added, “I’m looking forward to seeing them all properly again.”
Almost as soon as you managed to get your hands on Junmyeon, you were having to let him go so that he could fulfil his Exo duties. It didn’t take long before you were sharing him again, having to find time in amongst his busy schedule.
“If you want to come, I’m sure they won’t mind,” Junmyeon offered.
“It’s alright, there’s probably a lot for you all to catch up on,” you replied.
As much as Junmyeon too wanted to spend all of his time with you, he had plenty of commitments lined up. He couldn’t wait to throw himself back into work, both with Exo, and as an actor, as well as throw himself back into his relationship with you.
“I’ve been thinking about something before I head back to work,” Junmyeon spoke up yet again, trying to remember all of the things that he had stored in his mind for months.
“What’s that?” You enquired, turning back in his lap again so that you could look up at him with a wide smile on your face.
It was a little action from you, but as Junmyeon watched you, he couldn’t help but feel his heart flutter. It only truly felt that now he was back with you, he was remembering how much he missed you whilst he was enlisted.
“I was thinking about taking a trip somewhere, it doesn’t have to be too far away, but I’ve not had a holiday in two years, and I think we could both do with getting out of Seoul,” he proposed, “some time before chaos starts again.”
Your head immediately nodded, without even having to think, “I would definitely say yes to that, I’ve barely been out of Seoul without you, the boys have taken me on a couple of trips, but its nowhere near the same.”
Junmyeon reached across and took your hand, intertwining his in with it as a promise to you that he’d make sure that something got organised.
“Each time I look at you right now, I feel like I’ll have to let you go.”
“I’m not going anywhere this time; you’re stuck with me.”
Your smile grew as you reminded yourself yet again that he was discharged, “it’s going to take some getting used to having you around again.”
“I bet the apartment is a mess with you living there alone.”
Your head shook, but Junmyeon knew you far too well, after the tours that he had been on before enlisting, he knew how much of a messy person you were, especially when you didn’t have Junmyeon there to help you tidy it up.
“I’ve taken good care of it,” you tried your best to assure him, “not to mention that Kyungsoo came round and helped me clean yesterday.”
“Of course, he did,” Junmyeon scoffed, “I swear he is far too good to you sometimes, so when I walk into that apartment, I have to walk in knowing that without Kyungsoo, it would probably be a mess?”
Your smile flattened, “I would have gotten around to cleaning it up, but Kyungsoo just got there first.”
“I’d expect nothing less from you,” Junmyeon joked.
“Well, I had to make sure that I gave you a proper welcome home.”
“You already have done, just being with you is it.”

EXO-L JPN Planet #14: Chanyeol's Emotional Book
👤: Say something happy that happened recently! 🍒: I had a jam session with Raiden-Hyung recently, he complimented me and I was super happy. To me, his (Raiden) existence is like a teacher, he complimented me and said "you improved from previously", I'm just so happy.
👤: Have you quarreled with members before? 🍒: Not at all, it'll be on a level of simply being questioned, wanna fight? Everyone is tolerating and accepting of each other, or when you're together for too long, there's nothing to quarrel about (laughs). But during trainee days, leader (Suho) will get angry at me occasionally (laughs). At that time, I was more of the playful (refuse to listen) type, leader is more of the role model type, so he will often remind me. Although I didn't use to understand why he did that in the past, I'm very grateful towards him now.
👤: When doing activities with EXO, a moment you felt joy? 🍒: When together with members, I'm always very happy. Moments like when we sing on stage together, laughing together in the waiting room.... We all know each other very well, we aren't nervous around each other, it's comfortable and relaxing.
👤: Something scary recently? 🍒: Cockroach! It's really so scary. Although nothing traumatic happened, I don't know why I'm just scared. Speaking of which, there was once I just got out of the shower and saw a huge roach, I had a battle with it. We had a standstill for 10 mins, I didn't have insecticides so I used detergent, I guess I sprayed only about 200 times ~ When I came back to my senses, half a bottle was gone (laughs)
👤: When angry, will you silently sulk alone or express it? 🍒: I will quietly allow my emotions to cool off. I won't vent my frustrations to others, I'll just adjust my emotions myself, but when I'm mad, I can't hide it off my face (laughs). The one who made me mad didn't do it on purpose, they might also have their own reasons too. I'll do this to calm down. Besides, I'm not a super sensitive person, I'll forget it after a while ~
👤: Emotion that's hardest to express? 🍒: Happiness. Sadness, fear, shock can be created with specific images in your mind, but when it comes to happiness, it's tough. If it's not happiness from within, "joyfulness" can't be expressed. It's easy to just smile but having to express happiness from within is very difficult.
👤: How do you cope/resolve sadness? 🍒: When sad, I'll record down the emotions that was greatest at that time. This kind of emotion to me is like a treasure. I'll record it down on my phone memo or play the guitar. Rather than saying "resolve/cope", why not say letting my emotions change into something else and save it. When in thought process/concentrating, the feeling of sadness will naturally go off.
👤: If you were to express the feelings in your heart everyday on a scale of 100%? 🍒: I live my life with 100% happiness. I don't really have much negative thoughts. And if there are signs of negativity, I'll "switch myself off", closing off the negative thoughts - I wish to live my life positively.
👤: What is the happiest memory you had with the members? 🍒: The memory of going overseas with everyone, having fun while working, drinking and eating delicious food is what I remember the most. Especially, during the reality show "Travel the World on EXO's Ladder" was the happiest time for me. It was fun during the shoot, but even during off-camera we played games at the hotel, we also went to the pool... The feeling of having to go there just like hanging out with friends was very fun. At that time I feel like staying there as it is for 1-2 months. Eating delicious food together while watching the sunset... I remember every single detail of those memories.
👤: You're known as happy virus, what do you do to stay happy? 🍒: It's similar to the question about my motto. Even if something happens that drives me to edge I'll still try my best to enjoy/have fun. Not just for myself, but I also wish to infect the ones around me through optimism. Sometimes when I wanna hype up the atmosphere, I might go a little overboard, but if this makes others happy, it's a joyful thing to me too.By making others happy, I'll be rewarded too.
👤: Is there a situation/time you thought: I absolutely can't lose in this? 🍒: My thinking has changed slightly recently, I'll be 30 in a few years, my mentality has changed from the past too. I used to think 'whatever I do, I do not wanna lose, I have to be first'. Now, I just think, as long as I'm happy, that's what matters! I guess it can be said that my mentality has relaxed, I no longer go head on/do the unnecessary (just to be first), you can't refuse to admit defeat on everything.
👤: Up until now, the time you cried the hardest? 🍒: During elementary or middle school, a dog we raised at home passed on. It was a Dobermann, it had only been with me for 2 years but it was closest to me at home. An accident occurred later on and it was being treated at the vet for over a month, did a few surgeries but ultimately, it lost the battle. Finally one day after I ended class, came home and learned that it was gone, that was probably the hardest I cried in my life. Although it's something that happened when I was young.
👤: You once said your motto was "Let's enjoy!", can you tell us the reason how it came about? 🍒: I love this saying, "A genius can't win a hardworking person, a hardworking person can't win a person who enjoys the moment". If you don't think/dwell about how tough it is to do something, and carry a mentality of enjoying it while doing it, it might result in a happy ending. Even if the results are unsatisfactory, the process is still happy. So when approaching everything, (I) carry the mindset of enjoying it and do it.
👤: Something you find cute recently? 🍒: The little puppy I'm raising now, she's too cute, it's like I'm raising a newborn/little baby, I pour my whole into raising her [even if I do not get a sound sleep/sleep properly, I have to get up and look at her] I keep thinking about how she is/situation (laughs)

“Fuck!”
No one was happy with the outcome, they lost more than they won. Two of the five had been rescued, but in the process NCT lost six of their people. Now all any of them could do was sit and recover, while also processing their loss. The older ones had gone to talk, while the others just took the time to rest and wait for the plan.
“What happened?” Suho asked. “What went wrong?”
“I have no idea.” Taeyong admitted. “We got Chen, cut the power, and then… everything started to go downhill soon after.”
“It’s cause we grossly underestimated things.” Jaehyun said. “While I was posing as Chanyeol, I ran into Xiumin and he called me out immediately. Apparently Chanyeol’s body temperature is different and he can tell, like… how would I have known that?”
“Chanyeol and Xiumin’s powers are fire and ice.” DO explained. “Therefore they can sense body temperature, and are well aware that theirs is different, Chanyeol being hotter, and Xiumin being colder. Y/n’s is also different. She’s colder than the average person.”
“Why?”
“Because… we’ve all given her some sort of gift so our powers don’t affect her so easily.”
“So that’s Angel?”
“What!”
“Excuse me!” Kai yelled. “Did you just say Angel? Did you see her? Black eyes and-”
“Claws and wings? Yes… Xiumin said something and-”
“Fuck, fuck, fuck…”
“What are you not telling us?” Kun asked. “What’s Angel?”
“It’s complicated.” Lay said. “And-”
“Then explain it. Both our people are trapped now. We need to do this together going forward. So tell us everything.” “Aish… this is not easy…”
“Please.”
“Angel…”
“She’s a weapon.” Chen stated. “We all gave her gifts, to protect her from us, but when RF got their hands on her… they experimented with her, and were giving her power, something similar to our own. She has some, but, RF hasn’t had all of us and her together, so she only has a few powers.”
“But how…” Sicheng began. “What can she do?”
“Uh… Baekhyun gave her night vision… DO gave her the sonic scream, Chanyeol gave her… the wings and claws… I’m not certain what she’ll get from me or Sehun and Xiumin.”
“Speaking of.” Kai spoke up. “What about Sehun? You guys haven’t mentioned him at all in your briefing.”
“That’s because Ten and Taeil were tasked with finding him and retrieving him.” Taeyong said. “But since the beginning, we had lost contact with them.”
“Sehun isn’t one to be underestimated.”
“Shit went south, fast, and I hate to say it, but it sounds like a lot of this was Angel’s fault.”
“You can’t blame her! She’s not in control.”
“Huh?”
“Y/n doesn’t know Angel exists.” Suho revealed. “It’s like an alternate personality. Whatever Angel does, she doesn’t remember. For now anyway, RF has… manipulated y/n that way, to keep Angel under control. That part of her only takes orders from RF and us, when we’re corrupted.”
“So she’s powerful.” Jungwoo restated. “And I’m assuming you guys don’t wanna hurt her.”
“That’s true, but at the same time it’s necessary.”
“What?”
“Angel can only be activated, or deactivated, by RF and when we’re corrupted. Otherwise, the only way to get her back is through pain. If we hurt her enough, RF’s control breaks.”
“That’s fucked up.”
“We know.”
“What about Baekhyun and Chanyeol?” Jaehyun asked. “Where are they? Shouldn’t they be here?”
“Baekhyun is resting.” Lay said. “And Chanyeol is watching over him. The topic of Angel is a sensitive one for Baekhyun, for all of us really, but mostly him.”
“Why?”
“Cause he feels responsible… for Angel. He’s the reason why RF has any interest in her, he brought her to them a long time ago.”
“Oh…”
“Still.” Kun added. “We’re going to need his help to get her, and the others back. We need a plan, a good one. We have the numbers, and power, that works in our favor.”
“And against us.” DO reminded. “RF is after us, and perhaps you now that they know you have powers of your own. We can’t just charge in there like before. We don’t have the element of surprise anymore.”
“Do you have a suggestion?”
“We can’t leave anything, or at least not much, to chance. We could have a better shot if we remain in large groups, the problem is how we split up, and figuring out our objectives.”
“We can use me.”
Everyone turned to the source of the other voice, seeing Baekhyun walk into the room, Chanyeol a few steps behind him.
“I tried to stop him, but he insisted on coming…”
“I want to help.” Baekhyun said. “I can’t just sit around and do nothing. We don’t have the element of surprise anymore, but we have me. I’d be the perfect bait.”
“We’re not using you as bait!” Lay stated. “We’d make things worse.”
“Not necessarily.” Taeyong added. “Is there any way Xiumin or Sehun could distinguish Baekhyun from a copy of him?”
“Uh… I don’t think so.” Chen said. “Why?”
“Well, I do have more than one shapeshifter in my group.”
“I see… this could work.”
♥♥♥♥♥
“Shall we begin?”
Xiumin grabbed the files at the end of the table, opening up the first one. He had six prisoners restrained before him, Sehun and you sitting at the table, quietly watching.
“Mark, technopath, that explains how you’d wind up in areas you didn’t have access to. We don’t need you trying to run off, so you understand the necessity of the drugs running through your system right now. Although I’m certain you’re not even aware of your situation right now. It’s curious that Chen took down the systems and not you. Perhaps you’re not that powerful.”
“…”
“Moving on. Ten, silver tongue, you can control anyone who hears your voice. That certainly explains how you stayed out of trouble and seem to have found Sehun so easily. You underestimated him though, you can’t speak if you can’t breathe. So you must understand why the gag, just a precaution. Next we have Doyoung. Illusionist, you can create false images of yourself and others, but they have no physical presence. A neat little trick but I’m afraid it didn’t do you any favors. Luckily you get to just sit quietly, gagged for my peace of mind. Let’s see, Johnny, audiokinesis. What an annoyance, but easy to stop you, hence the drugs and collar, so behave yourself.”
“… asshole…”
“You were so easy. Next, Yuta, telekinesis. Simple enough, and you have decent control. There’s a lot you can improve on, but for now the drugs and collar are necessary. It’s certainly interesting to see how unique and diverse all your powers can be. So that begs the question, what can you do, Taeil? It’d be a shame if all your friends were special and you weren’t.”
“…”
“You may want to protect your friends here, but if you don’t answer me truthfully the others will suffer. They’re all wearing a collar for a reason, or I can make them lose a finger or two.”
“What do you want?”
“Answers. What can you do? I doubt you don’t have any gift.”
“I can neutralize their powers.”
“Really? How does that work?”
“I’m not entirely sure, but if I want them to stop using their powers they will, although only within a certain range of me.”
“Interesting. And are you doing that now?”
“No. You have your own ways of neutralizing them.”
“Hm. Let me try something then.” Ice began to appear on Taeil’s neck. “You can’t neutralize my power, can you?”
“No… only theirs…”
“Makes sense.” Xiumin stopped. “You’re all connected or something. A dull power but I suppose it’ll come in handy going forward. Now, how about the more serious matters. I don’t have Kai or DO to confirm, but you’re not from this planet, are you?”
“Neither are you.”
“Oh, that’s very interesting. We can say the hows for later, I would like to know why you’re here.”
“We’re looking for you.”
“Me? You mean EXO? Fascinating… certainly not the response I expected. Well, you found me, now what?”
“You’re not really who we’re looking for.”
“But it’s who you got. It doesn’t matter, in time we’ll be good friends. I should let you go, you all have things to do, as do we.”
“What are you gonna do to us?”
“You worked here for a while, you should know. You were on one side before, now you’re on the other. Do enjoy yourselves.”
♥♥♥♥♥
“Alright, given our numbers, I split everyone into one of four groups.” Taeyong began. “When we get there Baekhyun will be the target, so we have to protect him at all costs. None of us will know where the real one is either, just in case.”
“If any of us come across Xiumin, Sehun or… y/n…” Suho said. “We have to attack on sight. Those three we need to take down immediately. The rest, we need to find them.”
“I can help with that.” Jungwoo volunteered. “I can… astral project to anyone in NCT, so when we get there I could find them.”
“But you’re just in one group, there’s six of them to find.”
“With Sungchan I can relay the message among our people and they can share it with you.”
“Alright, that could work.”
“So what can we expect?” Kun asked. “Surely RF has taken some precautions. They’ll be expecting us.”
“Perhaps, but they can’t do much.” Lay said. “They’ll have contingencies and plans for our people, our powers, but they know nothing of yours. They won’t be able to stop you.”
“That’s good.”
“Yeah, but we can’t go in thinking we have any advantage. We need to get in and get out, quick. So we need to decide on a rendezvous point, and keep in mind to never get separated from our groups.”
“Well, we do have blueprints of the place and the surrounding area.” Jaehyun reminded. “We can use those to pick our locations. The goal is to get out, but we need to have a contingency inside as well.”
“But what’s the plan there?” Chanyeol asked. “Do we return here? Or what?”
“We should come back here.” Taeyong said. “This is your home, and you can take care of your people and y/n, it’s also safe, right?”
“But we can’t stay.” Kai added. “It’ll be best to immediately go somewhere else.”
“Go where?”
“Another planet. This house is specially designed, we use it to travel dimensions. It goes wherever we go.”
“Woah, you can do that?”
“It’ll take me a couple of minutes, but it’s possible.”
“Then you should come to our place, Neo Planet. We got rid of RF there, so it’s safe.”
“Hm… that could work. You’ll have to help me.”
“I’ll do what I can.”
“If we got the basics figured out.” Baekhyun said. “We should bring the others in and do this.”
♥♥♥♥♥
Explaining the plan first came with splitting everyone into a group, Baekhyun and his imposters could decide where to go later. The next part was deciding who would get who. DO, Kai, and Chanyeol would be able to find their people easily, and you’d most likely be with one of them. The more complicated part was NCT. Then again it should be fairly easy as Jungwoo would have an exact location for them, or at least that was the plan.
“You ready, Jungwoo?”
“Yeah, be back in a few.”
Jungwoo laid back and closed his eyes. He took a few deep breaths and then his body relaxed, his true self miles and miles away. He reached out to Johnny first, and in a matter of moments he found himself in a dreadfully familiar place. All around him there was white, and he was just a ghost there. His eyes soon found Johnny, laid out on a table, restrained.
“Hyung.”
Jungwoo went over to his side. No one could see him, except for Johnny. Although he soon realized why there was a lack of response, Johnny wasn’t all there. It was concerning, but right now he just needed locations, they’d all help soon enough. As Jungwoo was about to go look for someone else he heard something, like a machine powering up, and then Johnny was screaming. He screamed as well, feeling a horrific pain he couldn’t describe, and then returning to his body.
When he got back he woke up screaming, falling to the ground. It took a few seconds for him to calm down and the pain to fade. He looked at the concerned faces around him. No one knew what happened as Jungwoo had never disclosed this part of his power. When he projected to one of them he could feel their emotions, maybe even on a deeper level. So in thr moment Johnny’s pain became his own, and explaining that worried everyone.
“I’m fine…”
“What the hell were they doing to him?” Haechan asked. “Are they torturing him.”
“They wanna know how his powers work.” Kai explained. “They’re running all kinds of experiments on him now, the others too, and they’re not pretty.”
“How are we supposed to find them?” Kun asked. “Searching for them means spending more time there, and that’s dangerous.”
“Kai and DO might be able to find them.” Suho said. “So I guess we’ll rely on them.”
“How can you guys do that? I don’t even know how you can find each other.”
“Long story short, everything has a different vibration.” DO explained. “You all have a different vibration compared to the things of this Earth, as do we. Kai and I are able to sense that, I would assume someone like Taeyong could too if he practiced.”
“I can?”
“Maybe. Either way, your people aren’t from this Earth, so their vibration is different, matching yours. It’s more people for us to find, but that means Chanyeol has to find Xiumin and y/n, as their different body temperatures he could sense.”
“Alright, that means we're gonna need a small group to scout the place first.” Lay said. “Kai, DO, Chanyeol, and Taeyong, you all go, and when you return we’ll go.”
“Alright, while they do that the rest of us need to prepare.” Chen said. “When they get back we gotta be ready to go. We’ll get our families back.”
♥♥♥♥♥
When you saw Johnny tied up, hearing what Xiumin had to say about him, you felt a new level of betrayal. A long time ago you thought he was your friend but now it’s revealed he’s a lot more than he said he was. The fact he was looking for your boys meant that he was only ever using you, he was never your friend. Although now you were conflicted, in a sense you hated him, but you didn’t want him to suffer, especially here of all places. Despite what he had done, he did try to help get you and the boys out, things just didn’t go to plan. You weren’t exactly sure what happened, but you figured they underestimated their opponents.
It was so chaotic for a couple of hours, and now things were back to normal, as if nothing had happened. You wanted to help, but you knew that would be nearly impossible. It seemed you’d be spending the day with Sehun, and trying to do anything around him would end badly. Although you couldn’t be certain you’d ever have a chance. You couldn’t remember what happened after crossing paths with Xiumin that day, but you were certain you didn’t help the situation. You’d trusted they’d be back, and you promised yourself to try and help, no matter what. Although it seemed the moment was now.
The lights started flickering, and you were genuinely surprised. It had barely been three days since the last commotion, but it was probably better to try again soon, before anyone expected it. Sehun quickly grabbed your hand and started pulling you along. You never knew where you were going but you figured it was somewhere completely different than originally. Still, you told yourself you’d try, so that’s what you did. You managed to pull your hand from Sehun and run in the opposite direction. Although with him being your guard at the time, you didn’t get far. You collapsed to the floor trying to breathe, the edges of your vision going black. So much for helping.
♥♥♥♥♥
Moving in a group was pretty risky, but it had benefits too. They were always watching each other’s back, and any resistance could be taken out easily. Of course RF’s resources were split, as Baekhyun would certainly draw their attention. As soon as they appeared they split off, having their targets and their mission. For some it was merely rescue and evacuate, for others, there would be some complications. DO and his group were the ones with the harder task, having to find Sehun, and apparently you.
They weren’t being subtle, so the place was on high alert immediately. At least he had Chen with him, since he expected a fight. Anyone who came across their path was dealt with and they kept moving forward, DO leading as he was tracking Sehun. It took a couple minutes before they came across their target. Sehun wasn’t alone, and seeing Angel certainly put the two on edge, but the others recognized the situation as well. They probably shouldn’t have stopped to talk, but it couldn’t be helped.
“Hyung, you came back.”
“We’re leaving, Sehun.” Chen said. “So just come quietly.”
“Why? We can do so much here. And Angel… incredible.”
“Where is she?”
“Behind you.”
A screeching filled the air and they all collapsed, trying to block out the sound. Sehun watched with a cocky grin.
“See hyung, incredible. Come here, Angel.”
They were all disoriented, but thankfully no one was bleeding from their ears. No one was really sure if they’d come across Angel, but it seemed like they were the lucky ones. Despite the pain, Haechan still managed to get up. He saw Angel approaching and knew he had to act. He took off one of his gloves, reaching out to grab their arm.
“Stop!”
Haechan never really liked using his powers, but this was necessary. Angel collapsed to their knees, grabbing their head, struggling with something internally.
“Ya! What did you do!”
Haechan suddenly found himself unable to breath, grabbing at his throat and gasping for air. He soon found himself unable to move, his vision starting to go black.
“You’re lucky I’m not allowed to kill you.”
“Sehun, stop it!”
DO made the ground shake, knocking him to the floor. He scrambled onto the other boy, throwing a punch out of frustration, and dropping the white powder on his face.
“Why do you have to be so bothersome.”
Chen had managed the strength to get up, crawling over to Angel, grabbing their face. Black eyes usually didn’t convey anything, but in the moment he could see a twinge of fear and pain. He hated this as much as anyone, but it had to be done.
“Sorry.”
♥♥♥♥♥
Jungwoo was doing his best to hold himself together, still too freaked out over what happened earlier, but he couldn’t let himself be a burden on this mission. He just had to get through this, and then they’d all go home, and he could rest. Besides the others working on getting locations, Sungchan could keep them all connected with his power. Although it was disheartening that none of their missing members reached out, but they were present. They managed to find Ten, and the conditions were not at all what they expected.
Ten was in a padded room, sitting in the corner, wrapped in a straitjacket and gagged. He didn’t even seem to register the others who had entered. Hendery and Jeno rushed to his side, removing the gag and trying to get his attention, but his eyes were very unfocused. They couldn’t stay long, getting him to his feet and helping him out. There was so much running through their minds but they had to keep going. Hendery and Jeno half carried and dragged Ten along, leaving it up to the others to keep them all safe. They probably managed that far because they had Lay around, and he was a power house all on his own.
Eventually they found their way to where they were keeping Doyoung. The boy wasn’t in a good stay either, kept in a dark room and deprived of all his senses. He screamed at being touched, trying to fight back and only calming down when he saw familiar faces. He was so relieved, but immediately collapsed. This was their other target, so with both in hand it was their time to leave. Surely the others would manage fine, if not, they’d be back. No one was being left behind this time. Through the telepathic link they let the others know and then they were gone, wishing them luck.
Taeyong was on a mission as he stormed through the place. Hearing about Johnny was enough to put him on edge, and he couldn’t imagine what the others were going through. Finding Yuta gagged and blindfolded while chained to a wall certainly did not help. He didn’t know what to expect, but this was far beyond him. Sicheng and Renjun helped the other, getting his restraints off and helping him to his feet. Yuta was babbling nonsense but he managed to stand and walk with them. Sicheng helped him up, getting him to regain some sense of self. Mark on the other hand was completely unconscious, found tied down to a table. They barely managed to wake him, Renjun and Jisung dragging him along.
Then there was Johnny, exactly as Jungwoo described him. They merely got him out of his restraints and then disappeared to the rendezvous point. When gathered there it became apparent one team had yet to return. Suho was worried over that information, knowing who the bigger target was for them. Kai was the one leading that group, so he wouldn’t worry too much, but still, a lot could happen. He wanted to go back and help, but for now it was best to wait, he trusted the others could get the job done.

“They’re close.”
“Very close.”
Xiumin wasn’t one to wait around, so when things started going wrong he had his own plan. He found his lucky chip, Taeil, and went off to search for you and Sehun. Although it wasn’t long before he found some intruders.
“Wow, Kai. I didn’t think you’d set foot in here, and to bring Baekhyun along, have you finally realized you can’t run away.”
“We’re here to get you out.” Chanyeol said. “So let’s go, you already brought Taeil with you.”
“Ah, him, he’s my insurance that those others can’t do anything. He-”
“Y/n’s not here anymore.”
“Aish, that’s fine. We’ll get her back, now that you’re here it won’t be difficult. So I’ll give you one chance to surrender.”
“Not gonna happen.” Kai stated. “You get one chance, so come quietly.”
Xiumin laughed. “Baekhyun, do you want to know what we’ve been up to with Angel? You won’t-”
“I’m not Baekhyun.” Jaehyun revealed himself. “He’s safe as well.”
“Ah, Taeil, not behaving I see. I told you-”
They didn’t have time to sit around and talk, so Chanyeol made the first move, throwing a fireball at Xiumin. The chances of Taeil getting hit by proxy were high, but he had to take the chance. It certainly interrupted things as Xiumin got knocked back, releasing his grip on his prisoner. Taeil immediately ran forward, getting out of the way.
“Well, this is hardly a fair fight. All of you against one.”
“It doesn’t have to be a fight.”
“But it’ll be more fun that way.”
The area began to grow cold, ice appearing everywhere. Chanyeol was quick to counter, suggesting Kai get the others out so they didn’t have to worry. It was another risk but Kai complied, promising to come back. Now it was just a matter of keeping Xiumin distracted long enough for Kai to get back. The only problem was that they were still in an RF base, meaning Xiumin would have reinforcements. That got Chanyeol tazed and forced him on his knees.
“The two of us can get the others back here. So let’s work together.”
“You’ll… hate… yourself…”
“Not if I stay.”
“You’re not.”
Kai came back to see chanyeol surrounded, and there was no time to plan, so he just acted. He grabbed them both and took them to the rendezvous point. No one was expecting Xiumin in his condition, but Lay and Chen acted quickly to subdue him. Now everyone was gathered which meant they could move. Suho and Taeyong did a quick head count, well aware neither of their people were in good condition, but they needed to leave now. Everyone got close, Kai explaining to Taeyong how to help him since traveling with all these people would be draining. Still it had to be done, and when he was ready, they were all gone.
♥♥♥♥♥
“Ugh…”
Traveling across dimensions, across the stars, was something EXO was used to, so being disoriented was strange. Then again, this was the first time they had traveled with others, so perhaps that was the cause. As Suho looked around he became more confused. He was under the impression they’d be going to a city like place, instead they seemed to be in some worn down abandoned building. It was barren, and then he realized not everyone was present. They were missing quite a lot.
“Shit…”
Suho managed to get to his feet, looking around for his people, only finding Baekhyun and you. He went over to you, relieved to see it was actually you and not Angel. He was about to check with Baekhyun when he heard some device powering up, seeing these two boys approach, giant guns aimed at him. He quickly raised his arms up in surrender, not wanting to act impulsively.
“What-”
“Who are you?”
“Huh?”
“Who are you?” One asked. “You’re not from Miroh.”
“Miroh?”

Flower, Falling In Love
Tumblr media
Pairing: Wonwoo (Seventeen) x Reader
Genre: Wonwoo Cupid AU (sort of); Soulmate AU; Coffee Shop AU (brief); fluff; fantasy
Summary:  Wonwoo is a love messenger, he answers to the god of love and he is destined, like all messengers, to never fall in love: or so it would seem. The god of love is unpredictable and does as he pleases. After centuries of helping people fall in love; Wonwoo is the one that needs assistance.
A/N: loosely inspired by Angel’s last mission: Love, based on the world in HONEY (EXO Lay fic) you don’t have to read it though, it is unrelated to this.
Word Count: 5390
Wonwoo was born the same way as all his brothers were, forged into existence the moment the sun painted the clouds various shades of pink and purple. As the dawn broke across the horizon, he had taken his first look at the sky across from Olympus. He was a messenger to the God of Love, Baekhyun.
The God of Love was cheerful, that was what Wonwoo noticed when he was born. The God of Love was smiling down at the newly awake messengers, his eyes shining. They were still pure and innocent then, still impressionable. He remembered that Baekhyun had told him he will live as his helping hand, aiding mortals down below them find love, helping him bestow this precious gift onto humanity.
And then he bestowed upon Wonwoo the greatest act of love a love messenger would ever receive: The God of Love gave him a name.
A name, Wonwoo had learnt was important. His brother recognised him by his name. Strangers would learn his name and cease to be strangers henceforth. A name made him who he was; Wonwoo who was Baekhyun’s love messenger, Wonwoo who was a brother.
He liked it when his brothers called his name. it made him feel important, useful. It made him warm. Wonwoo felt happy when they called his name cheerfully, the same way Baekhyun had the time he gave him his name, with a smile on his lips and a twinkle in his eye. Wonwoo thought that was love or at least the closest he was to ever feel it.
Love messengers had no knots in their white threads for lovers. Although they bestowed the gift of love onto humanity, they were fated to never experience it. Love was for the Gods and mortals. It was something unattainable to them, just beyond their fingertips. Humans and Gods fell in love so that their races could continue to exist. Human lives were short, and so for them to continue they had to love and have children. Despite their short lifespans, Wonwoo had always heard his elder brothers Jeonghan and Seungcheol talk with the Gods of Love and Lightening, about how humans took time to love.
One day, as he rested on Olympus as a young messenger, Wonwoo had been so bold as to ask the God of Lightening how he knew, and he had simply smiled at him, as if Wonwoo was a child, and lay a heavy warm hand over his shoulder, looking up at the tall messenger.
“Humans have short lives, and so they pick their time well and love only those they deem deserving of love.”
“They try anyway.” Jeonghan had supplied, his bright mischievous smile making the God of Thunder shake his head.
“Gods’ love easily because they don’t have to think too much about the passing of time and growing old. That is why they take long to learn. They will fall in love quickly because the mistake is only a short moment on an infinite number of moments. They make the same mistakes and the same bad decisions over and over because their time is limitless, and they can afford to waste it.” Seungcheol had explained to the younger messengers, all staring intently between the God of Lightning, and their older brother.
“Gods are born like humans are. They need love to pass on life too. They are not born in the clouds the same we are. Dawn does not kiss life into them like it does to us.” Joshua said. His voice was soft and light, matching his expression as he gazed over at his younger brothers. His brown eyes held a tenderness that had far surpassed love. Sometimes Wonwoo thought that if Philia, the affectionate love, could choose a shape it would look like Joshua.
“Humans have a good saying; the higher you are the lonelier you are. With power comes sacrifice and loneliness. Gods’ realms are often separated, the way this mountain is far from Junmyeon’s sea.” The God of Lightening Jongdae gestured over to the peak of Mount Olympus, to below, were behind the white tuft of clouds, the azure sea beat against the rocks. “For sacrifice and for balance, we are given love.”
That was the conversation that shaped Wonwoo’s idea of love. It was that lecture, given by the God who loved and married a mortal, that turned into one of the most important conversations of his existence. He was less impressionable afterwards.
-----------
That was over four thousand years ago, and still, despite never feeling Eros, he felt lucky. He was not lonely the way the Gods were, and he did not have a short life the way mortal humans did. For four thousand years, Wonwoo had worked and been content, diligently fulfilling his duties and watching as couples fell in love. Sometimes he had the displeasure, but an honour nonetheless, to watch as the same people he helped fate bring together had said their goodbyes. Millenia ago it had been death that forced them apart. More recently it had been finances and not enough time.
That was why he was on earth today, sitting in an auspicious café, sipping on an iced caramel macchiato. He had taken the last empty table, spread his things out to make sure no one else could sit with him, and watched as his charges smiled at each other in greeting as one offered an empty chair at their table to the other.
Wonwoo smiled to himself, his pink lips spreading into a joyful smile that showed all his teeth and turned his eyes into crescents. He had the satisfaction of watching as they met, his personal coffee show au unfolding in real life.
The coffee shop was packed, the air was warm and stuffy, and undoubtedly a welcome relief from the chill of winter lingering just outside the brick walls. Most of the tables were round, made of brown wood standing on black metal legs, the buzz of chatter and the mechanical humming of the coffee machines completed the ambience, and Wonwoo thought it would be a rather romantic place to meet the person destined for you.
The two humans were both college students, both tired and trying their best to keep up with assignments. They were studying the same subject, so it wasn’t their first meeting, but it was the push in the right direction. Wonwoo had been that push. That was his job, and he had sipped on his coffee and grinned down on his chocolate brownie in satisfaction at completing his last assignment this round. When he was done, he could return home to mythical Cyprus, plating beside Olympus suspended in the clouds. His brothers had already decided to drink nectar when they all came back for a well-deserved break.
That was too easy though. Too simple. A plan too well formulated and too close to execution, and fate had other ideas. Rather, the God of Love had other ideas, and he had made sure Wonwoo would not leave the coffee shop satisfied and in high spirits.
“Hi, is this seat taken?” A melodic voice broke through Wonwoo’s daydreams, bringing him back to the mortal realm. In front of him, a young woman looked down at him, and at the spare chair right she was now resting her hands against. At first glance, Wonwoo wondered if you were a muse to the God of the Sun, but you weren’t. Wonwoo studied your features, and he found none of the essences of immortal beings in them; and he finally heard your heart, previously drowned out by the sounds around him. Your heart was beating, a steady relaxed rhythm proving your mortality. He wondered if you had already found Your soulmate, and if not, who would be the one to help you find them. Would it be one of his brothers, or would it be a messenger he didn’t know? Could it be him?
“No.” Wonwoo told you, gesturing for You to leave your things in the space right in front of him before you went to order your drink.
“Thanks.” You muttered once you came back, sending him a smile in gratitude. Your drink was steaming, the mug holding the hot chocolate was warm against your fingers.
Wonwoo watched you over his cup, glancing at you from time to time to see what you were doing. He watched you warm yourself up, undoubtedly cold from the weather outside. Whilst you had gone to get your drink, snow started falling from the sky, white flakes blew in the wind, settling against the chilled earth like a blanket. Wonwoo thought you were pretty. Your eyes were twinkling, and you liked your lips after a sip of the heavenly hot liquid. You were driving the love messenger insane, his heart began to beat irregularly, startling him when he could hear the blood rush in his ears when you caught him looking. Wonwoo’s cheeks turned rosy, and the room began to feel far too hot for December. Even when you were both inside.
Worried about his rising temperature, and his mind replaying the small smile you sent his way, he decided he needed to make a break for it. There was no need to remain on Earth any longer, and he should be getting back home, in the realm of the God of Love floating beside Olympus.
“I have to go. Bye!” Wonwoo excused himself, walking out as fast as he could, completely forgetting his scarf, still hanging on the back of his chair.
You picked it up, hoping to find him outside the coffee shop, but when the cold air hit your skin, and the snowflakes began to fall against your cheeks, you noticed the tall man was gone.
 ---------------
Unbeknownst to you, Wonwoo stood in the back alley behind the packed coffee shop, hiding from mortal eyes as his heart beat against the rungs of his ribs, trying to break free of the pericardium and the bones keeping it away from you.
He had never felt like this before. His heart fluttered watching the happiness he brought mortals, and his feelings soared when he watched his brothers mess around. He had never felt like this towards a human. His hands were sweating, and he thought that even the falling snow could not cool down his scorching skin.
“Why is my heart beating so fast?” He muttered to himself, threading his fingers through his hair, frantically trying to gather his thoughts.
“And my hands are sweating.” Wonwoo spoke, looking around and wiping his hands on his dark jeans. Thankfully, there was no one around to witness his mental breakdown in the alley.  Under all the confusion, and a strange excitement that was now filling Wonwoo’s body, there was an important question that needed answering. It was that very question that made his hands tremble, and his heart pick up pace.
“She is human. Why do I react like this because of a human?”
 ---------
Up above the coffee shop, beyond the vastness of the sky, The God of Water, Junmyeon, and The God of Love, Baekhyun, watched the messenger freak out. They observed the first instance of Eros ever felt by one of Baekhyun’s messengers, watching through the looking glass placed on the marble table in the pavilion. Their imposing silhouettes were still as Junmyeon awaited Baekhyun’s explanation.
The other Gods sat around the table, their dark eyes staring intently at Wonwoo’s image, the messenger was dressed in warm clothes, snow falling around him and cold wind nipping at his cheeks, a stark contrast to the warm breeze and the sun shining down on Olympus.
“What have you done to that poor love messenger?” Junmyeon asked, his deep voice rolled over them like waves, but there was a playful lilt in it, and his eyes were laughing as they watched the poor love messenger fall in love for the first time.
“I have given him the greatest gift, if only he would stop being so frightened.” Baekhyun muttered, tapping his fingernails on the marble table, watching as Wonwoo ran his hands through his hair and muttered to himself like a crazy person.
“How could he not be, his kind had never experienced something like that before.” Jongin reasoned, his tender heart soared at the innocent fear in Wonwoo’s eyes as his feelings wreaked havoc on his mind.
“Can love messengers die of a heart attack?” Kyungsoo laughed, his dark, earth-coloured eyes watched as Wonwoo grabbed his chest theatrically, feeling his irregular heartbeat.
“The fates have agreed?” Junmyeon looked over from the looking glass to his brother, the one he thought must be responsible for this.
“Of course. I chose him myself.” Baekhyun spoke, full of pride as he puffed his chest out and looked over to his elder with a mixture of mischief and hope.
The God of Love had chosen him himself. The moment Baekhyun looked down at the pink clouds, waiting for a new cohort of love messengers to be born in the light of dawn, he knew that it would be one of them. He was getting ready to pick out a messenger, whose lifeline he would eventually mess up, tying lover knots into their fate. No one of these beings, ones he affectionately called his children, had ever felt Eros. No one them in the centuries that they have been around, had ever fallen in love, despite bestowing this gift onto humans. They lived for love, and because of it, and yet they didn’t even know what they were living for. Baekhyun was determined to change that. Starting with Wonwoo, his children would learn what love is.
When the pink hue of dawn passed, and he had called out their names, he had realised he had almost forgotten about one messenger. Wonwoo, still nameless then, watched the God of Love with innocent fascination, eyes filled with Storge, affectionate love, as he watched the God of love smile down at him, oblivious to his intentions, and that was when Baekhyun had decided; it had to be him, who he had almost forgotten.
“Wonwoo.” Baekhyun had called him, and his fate was set.
 ---------
Wonwoo sat with his brothers around a wooden table, the warm Cyprus winds kissing their cheeks, a pleasant contrast to the harsh winter on Earth. Here, the sun shone down on them, and Wonwoo had swapped out the warm coat for summer clothes and a loose-fitting shirt. From crystal cups his brother sipped on golden nectar, but Wonwoo could not stomach his drink. His cup sat full on the table as he felt his stomach churn and flip. It was an unfamiliar feeling. Love messengers never got sick. The more people they helped find their soulmates, the better they felt, and their work was never-ending. Mortals and Gods kept them busy and kept them in high spirits.
“Jeonghan, I think I’m sick.” Wonwoo muttered when his heart began beating a little faster and he could feel his cheeks heating up a little more when his mind made him see the girl from the café again. He put his head in his hands.
“We don’t get sick.” Jeonghan laughed as he sipped on cool nectar. Beside him, Seungcheol looked over at the younger messenger and furrowed his brows.
“Something is wrong with me.” Wonwoo pressed, trying to avoid the curious gazes of his brothers.
“I saw this girl at the café whilst on duty, and she was mortal, but she was pretty.” He admitted, thinking about how you were definitely the prettiest mortal he ever laid eyes on, and about how he absolutely shouldn’t under any circumstances consider you attractive. Heck, he shouldn’t even know what attraction feels like. There were no lover knots in his thread of life, and there should be no feelings associated with Eros bouncing about his heart.
“When I saw her, my heart started beating in my chest as if it was skipping a beat, and my hands grew sweaty when she accidentally brushed her hand against mine.” He explained, his hands miming the way his heart was beating before he dramatically rubbed his hands together.
“Impossible.” Jeonghan whispered, his goblet abandoned on the table.
“What is impossible?” Mingyu asked, his eyes widened when he saw the shock on the faces of everyone else. He looked expectantly over to Wonwoo, who looked like he was about to faint.
“It can’t be real, can it?” Joshua asked, and before Mingyu could ask again about what was happening Seungkwan beat him to it, answering Joshua’s question instead.
“We don’t do that.” He shook his head, a broken chuckle escaped him as he sipped on his drink, trying to avoid Mingyu’s wondering stare.
“I have never in my six thousand years heard about this happening.” Seungcheol announced, looking over at the younger love messenger as he looked absolutely miserable, his face flushed and his eyes glassy as if he had a mortal fever. When they stopped to listen, they could hear his heart, fast and irregular. The same as a mortal heart in the throes of infatuation.
“Wonwoo, how are you feeling right now?” Seungkwan stood up from his chair to press a hand against Wonwoo’s forehead, checking if his brother was really burning up. To his surprise, he was, and the warmth that emanated from him was a pleasant feeling. Wonwoo was projecting, and for a moment Seungkwan thought his heart might also skip a beat. He retracted his hand and looked down onto his brother.
“Fine.” Wonwoo answered, although his cheeks were still pink, but the thought of you was now gone from his mind, and instead, fear had taken its place.
“Can he be infatuated with a mortal?” Mingyu asked, looking over at Seungcheol for answers. The older ran a hand through his black hair and sighed.
“It’s fate. You can’t fight fate.” His words had a finality to them that made them all sit back into their seats. It was the kind of finality that took over all of them, not just Wonwoo, who watched on with wide eyes, and despite the warmth of Cyprus’ air, the hairs on the back of his neck rose.
“You met her again, didn’t you?” Joshua asked, his voice soft as he watched his brother struggle with the new information.
“After I ran out, I came back the next day, just to make sure.” Wonwoo nodded.
“We bumped hands accidentally.” He added afterwards, but didn’t know if it was important, or rather why it was relevant,
“She invited me out for ice cream.” Wonwoo told them, putting his hands on the table and playing with his cup as a distraction.
“You said no, right.” Joshua prodded, his eyes soft but unsure, and when Wonwoo stayed silent, he turned to Seungcheol, who watched everything helplessly.
“You said yes?” Jeonghan cackled, laughing hysterically at how hopeful and happy his brother seemed at the prospect of meeting the mortal again.
“We are meeting on Monday.”
“Good luck.” Mingyu told him, and the sincerity in his voice gave Wonwoo the courage to smile at him.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. It was fate after all, and you can’t fight fate. They all knew that.
-------
The ice cream shop was surprisingly full for the middle of winter. The walls were lined with wood painted a cream colour and the tables were also cream with pastel-coloured chairs. It was a fun little shop, and Wonwoo waited outside excitedly for your arrival. He had come earlier, just to make sure he was at the right place, and because he had a bad habit of being late, and he figured being late on the very first date of your immortal existence would not bode well. The snow had stopped falling, but the world remained covered under a soft pillow of pearly whiteness. Everything looked softer in the snow, and Wonwoo didn’t mind the cold.
“Hi Wonwoo.” He turned around when he heard you call his name, watching as you waved at him from the edge of the sidewalk.
“Hello Y/N.” He answered, smiling at you, his dark eyes carefully trailing over your face, wondering if you were as cold as he was.
“Let’s go?” You asked, gesturing towards the entrance to the gelateria.
“Sure.” He nodded and followed behind you into the warm ice cream shop. You sat down at a table near the window, your eyes scanning the tall man as he sat down and took off his black jacket and scarf. His cheeks and nose had turned red in the cold, and you wondered if he waited outside for long. He was already waiting when you spotted him as you were crossing the street. Once you were seated, you looked through the menu, deciding to share a sundae between you.
“How about this one?” Wonwoo asked, pointing to a sundae slathered in toffee sauce.
“Sweet nectar?” You asked, and he nodded, a smile appearing on his lips as you watched his eyes light up. You could feel your heart skip a beat when he caught your eyes with his dark coffee ones.
If only you knew the irony of his choice, you would have undoubtedly laughed, a messenger from Olympus who wanted nectar. Wonwoo had found that almost ridiculous.
For the remainder of your date, you sat at your table, walking about your favourite films and books. Turned out Wonwoo was a big fan of romance films, and he had mentioned that he liked Casablanca.
“So you like black and white cinema?” You asked, smiling as you leaned your hand against your open palm.
“You could say that.” He chuckled, eyes drifting from you onto the empty ice cream cup.
“What’s your favourite?” Wonwoo asked in return, feeling his breath hitch in his throat when you caught his eyes. Their colour mesmerized him, and for a moment he thought he was looking into a mirror, seeing the white thread of his life tie in a knot as he watched. The depth of your gaze was immeasurable, and he found himself drowning in the vastness.
“Cinema Paradiso.” You replied without breaking his gaze.
“So you like foreign cinema?” He asked, a teasing lilt in his voice. The smile that broke through sent your own heart into a frenzy, and you felt yourself being pulled closer like a puppet on a string. Closer to him.
“You could say that.” You spoke, and the softness of your voice felt pleasant against Wonwoo’s ears. It was a sweet sound. Sweeter than the melodies played on any harp or lyre by the muses of the God of the Sun.
For the remainder of the evening, you sat in the gelateria, talking about your passions and your hopes.
“Tonight was nice.” You told Wonwoo once you left the building. The white snow had resumed its descent onto the frozen earth and had added layers onto the white blanket covering the world. It acted as a means to silence all sound but the sound of your beating heart and the rich resonance of Wonwoo’s voice.
“It was.”
“Would you like to go out again sometime?” He asked, turning to look you in the eyes when he offered.
“Let’s watch a film.” You agreed, happy when he took a small step towards you. In the crisp winter air, his warmth radiated like a heater, protecting you from the nipping wind.
“They are screening Notting Hill at the Contemporary Arts theatre.” Wonwoo told you his cheeks dusting a deeper shade of red.
“I’ll text you the time. Is that okay?” He asked, looking over unsure if he was being too forward. He had never spent this long with a mortal, much less with a mortal he knew he would inevitably fall in love with. He wondered if this was what all his charges felt when he helped them bump into each other or helped them make the first move. Were they also this warm? Did their hearts beat a new life and their breaths hitched in their throats with the feelings coursing through their veins? If that was the case, Wonwoo thought that infatuation was a very pleasant stage of mortal relationships.
“Of Course.” You told him, and just as you were about to bid your farewells he stopped you. His hand landed in your arm, and before you could react he had pressed a quick kiss to your cheek.
His lips were warm against your cold skin, and the tingling sensation they left behind was enough to make our heart skip a beat.
“Goodnight.” He murmured, letting go of your arm, allowing you to walk home.
----
The messengers had picked a small coffee shop as their hangout in the mortal world. It was warm and served the best hot chocolate they had ever tasted, whipped cream and all. It was also frequented by tender writers and happy couples. Currently, in the throes of winter, it had been decorated with white lights and smelled like cinnamon, most likely because of all the gingerbread and spiced cakes they baked. Jeonghan made Wonwoo and a few other’s meet here before he left for Olympus later in the evening. They sat at a round wooden table sipping on hot coffee and trying to keep themselves awake.
“You are meeting her again?” Jeonghan asked, poking Wonwoo on the side. The elder had recently dyed his hair platinum blonde, and Wonwoo was truly considering also changing something. He just wasn’t quite sure what he wanted to change. He felt like he was a different being to the one he was just a few weeks ago. He knew what the blossoming of love felt like now, and despite all worried of what his brothers might think of his predicament, they had been supportive.
“I have a date in half an hour.” Wonwoo answered, sipping on his hot americano.
“I can’t believe it.” Mingyu muttered under his breath. He still found the idea that the God of Love allowed one of his messengers, the ones doing his dirty work, to experience the very same love they brought to the world. The possibility that Wonwoo could love a mortal and be happy meant that the rest of them wondered whether they would also get to experience Eros within their lifetimes. It was not new knowledge that the God of Love Baekhyun had wanted his footmen to have love, it was just new that the fates let him meddle with their life lines.
“It takes almost half an hour to get to the Contemporary Arts Theatre, you better get on the bus now.” Seungcheol told him, poking the watch in his wrist to remind Wonwoo of the time. He didn’t need to be told twice.
“See you at home!” He waved at them half-heartedly before running out to catch the next bus.
-------
True to Seungcheol’s words he had barely made it on time. The building of the Contemporary Arts Theatre was low, with only two screen rooms and a small gallery for student pieces. There had been only four other people at the screening of Notting Hill, and Wonwoo was thankful. He felt much more at ease with less prying eyes.
In the dark room, with the only light coming from the projector behind you, it felt right. Wonwoo had been timid at first, making sure you were comfortable, being careful not to be too forward. You could never have imagined his relief when he felt your head press against his shoulder halfway through the film. The rest of the film you had stayed like that, with your head on his shoulder, and with his fingers threading through yours on the armrest, and Wonwoo swore he had never been more comfortable, not even in the push beds on Mount Olympus.
-------
“Tonight was lovely.”You told Wonwoo as you were leavening. Your hands were still intertwined, and it didn’t look like Wonwoo had any intention of letting go anytime soon. Not that you were complaining. It was a nice feeling, being held, and you enjoyed the way your relationship was progressing. Nothing seemed rushed, and you were happy with that.
“I’m glad you liked it.” Wonwoo answered, beaming as he looked at you from the corner of his eyes as you walked through the streets.
“I was just wondering,” You thought out loud, and Wonwoo halted in his tracks, turning to face you with serious eyes. The hints of playfulness now gone from the deep brown orbs.
“Wonwoo, what is that white string?” You asked, not sure if you were going crazy or not, but you had been seeing the white thread follow you since you met him, and whenever you asked your friends, they had thought you were either pulling their leg or going insane.
“What white string?” He asked, panic taking over. He had never thought you would ask him that. White string was the fibre of his life line, the fibre that held his fate in chronological order. Mortals couldn’t see immortal strings.
“This one.” You unlaced your fingers, pointing to the pearly white thread that wrapped around your ring finger like a wedding band.
“You can see it?” He asked in disbelief, and although he was panicking inside, you had let out a relieved breath. You nodded wiggling your fingers and watching the pearly sheen of the thread glisten in the streetlight.
“It’s been following me around since I met you.”
“That’s,” Wonwoo coughed, his voice cracking with the shock of your revelation.
“That is fate. My fate, that I share with you.” He answered when he regained the ability to breathe and think coherently.
“What?” You asked, not quite understanding what he was saying.
“We are soulmates.” He explained, watching as your eyes filled with shock. It wasn’t every day that someone told you you were soulmates, much less the man who could also see the crazy invisible threads wrap around your finger.
“How could you possibly know that?” You pressed for answers.
“I know because I’ve been watching those strings for a very long time. I’m the one who helps tie them together.” He explained, holding your hand to pull at the life line that wrapped around your finger. His life line, his fate. His love.
“What?”
“I’m a love messenger. I help people fall in love.” He answered, looking into your eyes, and the weight of his confession settled over you, wrapping around your heart. To prove his point, he held out his hand, and sure enough, you saw a scarlet string wrap around his finger and shoot straight to your heart.
“Like cupid?” You pondered, and he laughed. He laughed at the absurdity of the situation, and at the fact that you had taken all his confessions in stride rather than running away. Maybe you were both mad.
“You could say that.” Wonwoo nodded, and the wind picked up speed, sending snowflakes spinning all around the two of you, shielding you from the prying eyes of the world outside.
“I’m your soulmate?” You asked again, and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you towards his warm frame.
“Scared?” He whispered, his warm breath fanning the shell of your ear.
“No.” You answered, smiling when neither of you pulled away. Slowly, as if to not frighten you, he lowered his head, and before you knew it, his lips were on yours, moving gently against your own. His lips felt hot and searing against the cold winter, and he tasted like cotton candy. When you had finally broken away from the kiss to catch your breath your eyes strayed to the ground, and you saw Wonwoo’s shadow, his tall frame elongated on the pavement, but that was not what drew your attention. Sprouting from the back of his shadow, a pair of wings, like those of an angel, sprouted and fluttered against the wind.
“I’m terrified.” You whispered, and Wonwoo couldn’t help the laugh that broke from his throat, cacophonous and filled with joy as you teased him.
In the night, under the orange glow of streetlamps, he kissed you until you were breathless, and you decided you would love him, not yet, but in the future. Love was a flower, and it had sprouted from amongst the snow, the first signs of green peeking through the crisp whiteness.

A Thousand Days and Counting - Epilogue
Tumblr media
Kim Jongin (Kai) x Reader SingleDad/CEO!AU Word Count: 1.7k+ A/N: We finally made it to the end of this story everyone. From now on I will be focusing on oneshots a bit more due to me starting school next week so i wouldn’t expect a full length story like this one or Bandoleros any time soon. Anyways as always request are open and enjoy :) Ch 19 / Epilogue Masterlist
The next 5 years came and went in a flash and a lot of things had happened since the day the twins were brought home. For the first Kyungsoo and Mayra got engaged recently, Kai’s company grew and his relationship with his father got better, Y/N became a co-owner of EXO Enterprises with Kai and the children began to grow up. Although a little late they decided to finally have a wedding ceremony on the day of their anniversary. Y/N began to feel nervous as the time got closer and closer for her to walk down the aisle, her heart beginning to pound. Although she was married Kai still managed to have her stomach tied in knots and she still managed to make his heart feel like it was about to explode. Mayra helped Y/N with her veil as Lia and Katrina passed her the bobby pins. The two were dressed in matching baby blue dresses with a white bow tied around them. Once they finished setting her veil in her hair the girls watched in awe as Krystal, Mayra, and Kai’s sister helped her get into her dress.
Her dress was an off the shoulder lace gown that had a bit of a train behind it. On the smooth skirt, small lace butterflies had been meticulously placed. After they finished zipping up the dress she turned to look at herself in the mirror, her daughters looking at her in awe. “Mommy you look like a real-life princess,” Katrina says, causing Y/N to giggle softly as she thanks her before they did any final touches. Out in the hallway, Kai was calming his pounding heart as Kyungsoo fixed his bow tie. He couldn’t help but laugh as his son told him to calm down. “Don’t worry dad, mommy won’t leave you. She loves you too much,” Christian says reassuringly as the two older men could only laugh at his choice of words. Once Kyungsoo managed to finish Kai swooped up his son in his arms resting him on his hip as he simply laughed holding on. Just as everyone but Y/N walked out Kai knew it was time to start. As the music started one by one they all began to walk out.
The twins walked out first throwing flower petals followed by their older sister who held the rings. After the children came out the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Krystal came out with her partner, followed by Kai’s sister and her husband, and last but not least Kyungsoo and Mayra as they were the best man and maid of honor. Then Kai took a deep breath as he began to walk down within his mom. As he reached the end and got settled the guests stood up facing the back as Y/N stepped out accompanied by Kai’s father. Kai couldn’t help but choke up at the sight of her. No matter how long they had been together and how many things they had gone through Kai could never get over how beautiful she looked. Every time he saw her it felt like the first day he realized his feelings for her. His stomach did flips as his heart pounded at a million beats per minute as he couldn’t help but admire her as nothing else in the room mattered more to him than her. As his father handed her off and they took each other’s hands he had to hold himself back from kissing her right then and there. The pair smiled at each other as they made eye contact both of them with lovesick grins plastered on their faces.
As the ceremony proceeded it officially came time for the vows, Kyungsoo and Mayra handing each of them acrylic panes that had their vows had been printed on as the officiant explained they would be doing a mix of traditional and personal vows. “I, Kim Jongin, take you, Y/N, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. You were my reason back then, my reason now, my reason every day. You strengthen my weaknesses, bring focus to my dreams. Here and now I pledge my life to yours, that your dreams become my dreams. No matter where life leads me, I know that as long as you are there and our family, that is where I am meant to be,” Kai says as he attempts to stop the tears threatening to spill from his eyes as Y/N wiped her tears while taking the microphone.
“I, L/N Y/N, take you, Jongin, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. From this moment, I take you as my best friend for life. I pledge to honor, encourage, and support you through our walk together. When our way becomes difficult, I promise to stand by you and uplift you, so that through our union we can accomplish more than we ever could alone. I promise to work at our love and always make our family a priority in my life. With every beat of my heart, I will love you,” Y/N said slightly choking up.
They handed the acrylic panes back as Lia brought their rings over. After they finished placing their rings on each other the officiant finished the ceremony with the iconic phrase that Kai had been waiting to hear after all these years. As soon as they were said Kai lifted her veil before swooping her into his arms, dipping her a bit as he kissed her causing the crowd to cheer and applaud. He pulled her back up the two of them walking back down the aisle hand in hand as everyone made their way out. After many pictures, it was finally time for the reception and their first dance. Everyone watched in awe as the couple walked in Y/N now in a mermaid gown as they walked to the middle of the dance floor as the music started. Kai took her hand in his as the other landed on her waist and her other hand landed on his shoulder as the two began to dance to the music swaying softly to the beat of the music. As they whispered sweet nothings to each other Y/N leaned her head against his chest as he held her close. He couldn’t help but feel complete with her in his arms. Never in a million years did he think he’d ever find someone worth settling down with yet by fate, destiny, or whatever you’d like to call it Y/N had somehow managed to sneak into his heart in less than a thousand days.
After a couple of months, it was finally the day of the twin’s fifth birthday and they had decided to throw a small party with family and friends to celebrate the occasion. Everyone was currently gathered in the backyard around a table where the twins were seated each of them in front of their own cake as Y/N lit the candles for each one. As she finished they all began to sing happy birthday as the twins sat patiently waiting for the end of the song so they could blow out their candles. Once they did they all cheered happily before Kai and Y/N began to cut the cakes handing everyone a slice. After they finished their cake the children went to play in the backyard as always pretending to be their favorite superheroes as they rolled around on the grass and jumped around pretending to be in a battle against some bad guys. They all couldn’t help but admire the children and their energy that they once had when they were about their age. As Kai sat next to Y/N he leaned his head on her shoulder as he offered her a sip of his beer. She politely declined. “I can’t drink for a bit,” she told him.
“Why what happened?” he asked before it clicked in his head, “Wait are you pregnant again?” he asked excitedly Y/N simply nodding softly.
“Now shush I want it to tell the kids before we let the others know,” she said playfully nudging him.
“My lips are sealed if you give a kiss,” he teased.
Y/N playfully rolled her eyes before fulfilling his request even though he was simply joking. Once everyone had left and the kids had opened their presents Y/N and Kai were finishing cleaning up the trash taking the bags to the bins outside tossing them out. Once inside they gathered the three little ones into the living room as they prepared them for the announcement by asking them how they felt about having a younger sibling. Luckily all of them had reacted positively excited at the thought of a new addition to the family. “Why mom are you gonna have another baby?” Lia asked curiously as she began to put the pieces together having already gone through this before. Y/N simply nodded as the three of them began to jump up and down with excitement. The three of them ran over to her pulling her into a group hug with Kai eventually joining them squeezing them tightly in his arms causing the little ones to squeal as they attempted to push their dad away as he placed kisses all over their faces as Y/N laughed.
To her, nothing could ever replace moments like this and although it only happened because of some crazy contract that forced her into a marriage she didn't want at the time she wouldn’t trade any of it. If given the chance to do it all over again she wouldn’t change a thing because if it weren’t for it she wouldn’t have the family she had always wanted with the man of her dreams. To think she almost gave up after just a thousand days.

Dancing Dreams
Chapter 1
(I would love some feedback especially since i decided to start writing again, I will also be working on re-writing My Han Fanfiction and making it better, Thank you)
Synopsis ..... As a 20yr old born and raised in Busan South korea, you finally moved forward in your life and managed to Join The Best Dance company out there. You make Friends you could never forget and so many memories you will cherish in your life. Your love Life will blossom and the sturggles of life will finally reach its peak. Will you manage to get through it or get overwhelmed by evrything and everyone ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was an early Monday morning, the sun rays were shinning through the cracks in your curtains perfectly lighting your face. "its too early for any of this" you groan and turn over to the other side where the sun dont shine. "Y/N get up youre going to be late!" your mom yelled at you from the kitchen. You turn back around and sluggishly sit up right, criss-cross apple sauce still half asleep and slouching forward. "Thats right" you thought to yourself, "Todays the first day of my dance class" you check your phone and time reads 7:34am. You get up and start making your way to the bathroom still dragging your feet, but you couldnt help but feel butterflies in your stomach. you make your way to the bathroom and brush your teeth, then your face and you apply lotion " you cant forget to take care of your face" you say as you laugh. You walk towards your closet wondering what to wear. your closet was full of black and white, not really any other color because brights just wasnt your thing. you decide to go with some black sweats, a white crop top and some white Filas. you decide to keep your hair down, kinda wavy and grab a hair tie for later. you head down stair and you can hear the sizzling of possibly bacon or sausage and the smell of toast. Your mom had breakfast ready for you, two eggs over easy just the way yiu love em, two strips bacon and some white toast. " Thank you, if you wouldnt have made me breakfast i would have gone on coffee for the whole day" you say wiith a moutful of toast. You tend to live off of coffee, not a day goes by without it. once you finished eating, you grab your keys and head out "Bye mom, ill see you later" you say as you turn around and wave good-bye.
You hop in your car, plug in your phone and start listening to some of your favorite tunes. The first song that plays is Enhypens Given-taken "Wake up in day one, cheonnare achim jomyeongin bichweo taeyange nunbit" you sing, using your vocal chords to their full extent. Next played Aespas- Next level which lead to ITZYs Mafia. You pull up to a starbucks and lower your music, "Hello welcome to starbucks, what can i get started for you today?" The employee asks cheerfully this morning. "Hello can i get a Venti Iced caramel macchiato with 2 extra shots of espresso and extra caramel" It was your go to drink, just the perfect amount of espresso and caramel mixed together. "Of course, is that going to be all for today?" she asked, "Yes ma'am, thank you" she tells you the price and you pull up the window, you grab your drink and head off straight for the dance studio. A couple more songs played through, you jammed out to Nct, Exo, A.C.E, Oneus and so many other groups and then you finally arrived. Your heartbeat accelarated slightly just at the thought that you finally get to start your dance classes.
When you were just ten years old you found k-pop, it was music you had never listened to but your curiosity got the best of you. From finding TVXQ you were slowly dragged down the K-pop hole but it was possibly the best thing that had ever happened to you. From then on 3yrs went by, you were finally 13 and you thought to yourself that you wanted to be a dancer and that someday you would be a back up dancer or a choreographer for the idols you look up to. You asked your mom to sign you up for dance classes , she agreed and signed you up for modern dancing, from then on you moved on to hip-hop, contemporate and breakdancing which was honestly possibly the hardest to learn, who knew breakdancing could make you feel like you could break yourself in a heart beat. And thats how you got here, you auditioned to join Dream Team dance studio, one of the hardest to pass and yet you managed to make it through, but the price for this dance class was pretty high so you also planned on getting a part time job.
You finally turned off your car and started heading towards the building, since you were still new here you had to follow sign procedures and which classes you would be available for and suited for. You headed towards what seemed to be the front desk but didnt see anyone there. "Hello?" you called out, and then a girl peeked her head out the corner of her office "Hello sorry i didnt hear you walk in" she said very sweetly " what can i do for you today?". You open your bag and pull out the paperwork you had to fill out Prior to your first day "Oh, i am new here and today is going to be my first day starting my dance classes" you hand her the papers and she goes through, she tells you to give her a quick minute and she walks back to the office, she comes back with a lanyard and keycard attached " Welcome to DT, Heres your badge" she hands the item over to you and you seemed kinda confused " oh, sorry let me explain. So we do get certain people who come thorugh to practice at times and we use this badge so that any unwanted personal dont just barge through wihtout permission. we really do want our dancers to feel safe and comfortable in this enviroment" its like she read your expression. So many questions came to mind of who could possibly come to this studio, Idols seems to cross your mind but you just push it away because it only happens ever so rarely. "Thank you so much, ill make sure not to lose this", you start to head towards the doors and turn around because it totally slipped your mind to ask what room your class was in. “im sorry, but what room will i be heading to?” you ask. “ oh, right i guess we forgot, you will be headed to  floor 7 room c” - she chuckles. You start to make your way back to the double doors then you hear her say " if you lose the badge, its a $100 fee to replace it", You grab the badge tighter knowing that thats alot of money just to replace it. You excitedly scan your badge and make your way through the double doors, as soon as you walk through you see a cafeteria  to your right and a mini market to your left. You walk towards the cafeteria and see that they also have a cafe in the corner. “oh hell yeah, i can grab myself some coffee anytime i want now’” you think to yourself as you sip on your starbucks.   You turn around and starts making your way to the elevators, as you walk back you overhear a group of girls chatting about floor 7, you stop in your tracts to listen in a little more, you werent trying to eavesdrop but you were still new here and wanted to know what they had to say about the floor your class is in.  They started talking about how the rumor about idols showing up at the dance studio was true but the only floor they ever go to was floor 7, since floor 7 was were the best choreographers were located. You start to walk away slowly picking up your pace because in your head that was impossible, you werent notified exactly of who the special personal was. You thought maybe you should have asked more in depth questions, but you didnt because you were so excited. You finally make a stop at the elevator doors almost running straight into them, you push the up arrow button and the doors open. When you head inside you push level 7 but on the mini screen it says Please scan badge. You grab your  badge slightly shaking and scan, you get approved and the doors close.  The  elevator starts to go up and you are so deep in your thoughts you start thinking out loud. You start pacing back in forth asking yourself if what the girls were saying  was true. The last thing you needed was for an artist to show up and make a fool out of yourself, at this point you have your arms up in the air and you dont notice that the elevator stopped on floor 3. As you turn around you see three different males standing infront of the levator staring at you, all three were in black masks and some sort of hat making it hard to notice their faces. You make eye contact with one and the realise your arms are still up in the air. “oh my god, i am so sorry” you say as you are still panicking. The one on the left giggles to himself, the one on the right is unphased but the one in the center kept eye contact with you. You  could barely utter another word, but you manged to scoot over and make room for the three of them. You are so embarassed you face away and place your head against one of the elevator walls. You see that one of them goes to push floor 7 as well but they realise that floor number 7 is already chosen. They look over and notice that you also have a badge that lets you in the top floor but they leave it at that. The ride from floor 3 to floor 7 seemed like it was taking forever, and you couldnt believe that on your first day you managed to make a fool out of yourself. You finally reach floor 7 and the elevator doors open. You make your way out first   and walk as fast you can to room C, the  boys follow behind. With your mind still racing you walk straight passed room C  unknowingly that you almost run into a window at the end of the hall.  As soon as you come to a stop you hear, “ You do know thats a window, and not a door right?” he says with a mocking tone. “ oh yeah, i knew that, i just wanted to take in some sun” you say as you turn back around and go straight for room C.  “Hyunjin, youre going to be late for our dance class” han says  after opening the door to room A, “Sorry, i just wanted to take in some sun” he giggles to himself.
You have eyes looking at you from running in and closing the door shut, your face lights up red "I'm sorry". You continue to walk in and the dance room catches your eye, its so spacious, the walls painted an oxford blue, and a set of two clear window that reach from top to bottom on the left. "First time here i see" one of the girls calls out to you, "oh yeah, this dance room is nice" you are in complete awe. "i was the same way the first time i walked in this room, by the way if you dont mind me asking, what was that all about earlier?" she cocked her head to the left. "oh that~, so i made a complete fool of myself infront of these guys who were on the elevator with me, i guess i was so nervous that i also almost walked into the window at the end of the hall until one of them called out to them" you say with a slight laugh as you look down on the floor. "Oh geex, i would have probably done the same. So whats your name?", "my name is Y/N, whats yours? you ask, "Oh my name is Elizabeth but you can call me Eli, i hope we can be good friends from now on". As soon as she finished the doord behind us opened, "Hello, it seems like everyone here seems aquianted, well lets get started from where we left off. Hello you must be y/n, i have heard alot about you from our scouts who were at the auditions." She says with a very curious tone, you can feel all eyes on you. "He-hello" you tense up slightly just at the thought the teacher knows who you are. The class officially starts and everyone seems to have gone to their places, you make your way towards the back of the class to watch the dance everyone one learned last semester. You watched them practice a couple times before you joined in. After going through the dance a couple more times Eli looks at you in awe "I can see why you were accepted into classes in the 7th floor, youre really good"
Classes proceeded for the rest of the day that time went by so fast, it was already 7pm and it was time to go home. "So i believe i will be seeing you tomrrow?" Eli asked, "Definitely, i had so much fun today and im so excited for the rest to come. I might stick around to practice just a little more" You say with enthusiasm in your voice. Eli leaves while waving back and youre the only one left in the room. You walk up to the radio and plug in your phone through the aux chord, you scroll through your playlist you are debating between Enhypen- given taken, TXT- Puma and Starykids latest release Thunderous. You decide to go with thunderous since you just had decided to change the end because you crouched down and walked foward by yourself it would look funny. You finally finished making the end and finally remmebering it so you decide to finally run through the whole dance. After dancing Thunderous a couple times you finaly drop down tired, you hear the door open behind you and turn around to see who could possibly still be here and to your suprise its the 3 mysterious men from earlier. "You're really good, did you make the ending for Thunderous?" asks the one with the medium length black hair, his voice sounds so familiar but you cant seem to remember who it could be. "Oh uhm, yes i did. i kinda figured if i danced it alone i would look stupid" You giggled to yourself "Like imagine crouching down and doing this?" you start to do the ending of the dance, "Youre right, haha it would look kinda funny" Says the one on the left, and again his voice also sounds very familiar but you really cant remember. " I guess we should introduce our selves, My name is Changbin, Seo Changbin" Your eyes widen, "Hi My name is Jisung, Han Jisung. But don't tell anyone you saw us" He shoots a wink. "Well i guess it my turn, My name is Hwan hyunjin, and if you ever feel like Getting some sunshine again Make sure not to try to run out the window" He laughs to himself. Youre face flushes red, You barely manage to even Speak. Did i really just make a full of myself infront of STRAYKIDS?!?! Is the only thought running through your head.

Imagine Baekhyun... (2)
After all the pain, the waiting, the tears, the crying and the missing, the day has finally come, the day you can finally pick up your soldier from the airport and ghave him be only yours again.
After you arrive with a bunch of security guys end, of course, the left members of his, you wait at the exit of where he's supposed to arrive in 5 minutes. There are already a lot of fans standing there, glaring at you. But you couldn't care less.
After the video of your goodbye with Baekhyun had been published the day after he left and your relationship got public a rather unpleasing way, the members, their girlfriends/wifes and finally Baekhyun where able to make you strong and guard you of most of the hate. Yet you still had to show Baekhyun the things they wrote you, only so he'd be informed, as he says himself.
Now here you stand, seconds away from seeing the pove of your life again, after limited contact for such a long time, carrying the last unopened box of his. It was labeled as extremely important, so you had to guard it well and yet he still told you to not open it but bring it to him on the day you'd finally meet again.
You see the first soldiers searching for their families and your heart starts racing even more. But minutes pass and there's still no sign of your Boyfriend. Your worries grow. Did something happen to him? Did he forget me? Did they forget him? Are we standing wrong? Was the-
but then you lock eyes with the most handsome pair of brown orbs you could ever imagine. Those brown orbs that are now filling with tears, and make the man the belong to stand still in shock. Baekhyun's lips form a huge smile and you quickly press the bag with the box into Jongin's hand before running into Baek's arms. He picks you up and spins you around, you hear his beautiful laughter and take as much of him in as you can. "Finally I got you back!", he whispers into your hair. Eventually you pull apart slightly to check eachothers appearance. His hair has, thank god, grown a good amount, he looks well fed and now finally happy again. He doesn't seem to be harmed. Good. "Your hair has grown so much.", he notices and looks at your body with a satisfied look. "All mine again.", he growls and pulls you in for the long awaited kiss.
He puts you down again and now the members approach their missed friend and fall into his arms. After each and everyone has welcomed him home, the security push yohu back to your driver to get home. Arrived at home, Baekhyun suggests to take a shower together, which you do quite intensely, before making other plans.
Baekhyun seems to be a little weird though, almost nervous, you think. Then you remember he hasn't opened the box yet. As you confront him, he only says: "My little impatient Y/N, we'll open it soon, but in order to do that, let's pick our most beautiful clothes for the dinner tonight, alright." You did have a dinner planned with the exo members as a celebration of his return.
You two walk to his car and ge even opens the door for you, before you get in. He also let you have his car keys for the time he was gone, but you rarely drove the car and much rather slept in it, as it seemed to make you feel closer to him. You made sure to clean well though this morning, so he wouldn't notice too much. By the way he glances at you, you think he knows, but can't tell because he was clearly being nervous. Was it because he didn't have a member-meal for so long?
The sight of him driving, as usual a hand on your thigh, made you melt completely. You had missed this so much you didn't even notice he drove past the restaurant. As soon as he stops the car, he gives you a quick peck and then get out of the car, only to help you out of it with your long dress he told you to wear. When you notice where you are you almos lose yor balance. He brought you to the romantic hill with the river and the flower bed, where you shared your first kiss together. Adding to that, the sun is currently setting, giving it all a golden touch. You look at him with stunned eyes. He only brings you into the field of all kinds of colorful flowers and looks at you, as if you'd be much more beautiful than the sight you just had.
Then other cars pull up and as you ask what his members are doing here, he keeps silent. He has been awkwardly silent these few hours so you start worrying. The members suddenly all stand around you two, Junmyeon giving him a thumbs up and Baekhyun takes a deep breath, taking the very last box out of his pocket.
Then he opens it and brings out a red velvet box inside, which he tightly holds in his hands before kneeling down on one knee and opening this box as well, revealing a beautifully decorated diamond ring to your eyes. You stare into his eyes and listen to his words after he clears his throat.
"Actaully I wanted to do this on my second home, the stage, and reveal our relationship like this, but that kind of didn't work. I haf so muxh time thinking about this and how to do it, planning it with my members in our group chat. I've never felt more sure about one thing in my life than about you, Y/N. The past few years with you have been the most amazing of my life and everything that happened until now has left me with no doubt that we can overcome any obstacle together. I brought you here on this very spot, at your favorite time, to tell you something you might already know since the first time we came here: I love you, Y/N. I know I have been painfully quiet today, but I only was preparing these very words I'm about to say to the love of my life. My dear Y/N, after everything we've been through I'd like to thank you for everything you have done for me and I want to keep calling you mine for the rest of my life. To be precise, I'd like to call you my wife, starting from now on and so I'm asking you: Will you, Y/F/N, do me the honor and marry me, Byun Baekhyun?"
Your face is covered in tears, so is everyone elses, and you barely word out a yes with a strong nod, before Baekhyun puts the ring onto your finger and picks you up, kissing you. The ring fits perfectly and you both seem to not be able to believe what just happened. It's now that you also notice that Sehun's been filming the whole scene, with you being a sniffling mess. The stars start to rise and everyone congratulates you two on your proposal. After spending some more time enjoying the moment, D.O breaks the moment in suggesting celebrating Baekhyun's return and your engagement in finally having the member meal, and so you make your way into a loooong night and well, a happy ever after.

You don't understand. I've never had to go through this before. When super junior was my ult, it was long after hangeng and kibum had left (sorry but I never really cared for kangin so that didn't affect me much). As a one year old exo-l, I obviously missed when kris/luhan/tao left. Ilhoon means SO much to me. He's my all time favorite rapper, my all time favorite composer, he was my sunshine from my favorite group. And now he's gone. Our final lasting memory of him on stage with btob as 7 is their this is us concert where we saw him cry for the first time. My lasting memory of him will be when he, eunkwang and peniel sent off hyunsik and sungjae- that hug he gave sungjae. I'm devastated.
I will continue to love and support btob but I will not erase or forget jung ilhoon. I pray that he's okay, that he's getting the help he needs, that the other members are still there for him and that we get the chance to see him on stage again, full of swagger and smiles, even if it'll never be with the others again.
You know, I really believed with all of my heart that btob would be like shinhwa- the group that would last for decades with all their original members intact. The fact that we're not gonna get 7tob ever again- that 10th anniversary we were all so looking forward to when all the members would be done with their enlistments, that day in 2022 when the six of them would welcome back ilhoon and they'd celebrate by going on ig live or vlive just to surprise melodies who've waited and have been dying to see them together again. I don't know that I'll ever get over it.

Part 1
A bustling courtroom. Jung Wooyoung was standing by, eyeing the judge, a man by the name of Kim Hongjoong, who was reading through the brief but looking a little less than amused. He’s been here before, or at least been in a courtroom. That was his profession. He was an attorney that handled a wide range of cases, sometimes on the side of the prosecutor, other times on the side of the defendant. But the usual legal battle was not what he was in the courtroom for this time. He stood by, while his current fiance, Baek Taehee, was fixing her makeup nearby, compact in hand.
“Court of general sessions, Judge Kim Hongjoong presiding is now in session,” The clerk announced nearby as soon as most of the crowd had gone, leaving only Wooyoung and Taehee and those who were in line for their own cases. “Are the parties ready in the matter of Ahn Jea, also known as Jung Jea?”
“What’s the matter clerk? Let’s get on and get this over with,” Hongjoong was poised to hit the gavel in his hand.
“Sorry, your honor. The matter of Ahn Jea also known as Jung Jea?” The clerk announced, his voice louder this time.
“Oh, here, here I am,” Wooyoung raised his hand.
“About time you’re here too,” Hongjoong said. “Just a moment. Clerk, wasn’t I supposed to marry someone this morning?” He looked over at the official.
 “Why yes, your honor-”
“Then let’s get it over with! We don’t have all day,” Hongjoong replied irritably. He looked down at the brief again. “This can wait, this is a very complicated case, this Jung matter, or was it Ahn, ” But before Wooyoung could speak, the clerk went up to him again.
“Your honor, this man is Mr. Jung Wooyoung, his wife is dead,” The clerk whispered.
“Who’s dead?”
“Ahn Jea, also known as Jung Jea, she changed her last name for Mr. Jung over there when they got married,” The clerk explained, voice still low. “She drowned.”
“Oh that’s sad- that’s very sad,” Hongjoong turned back to the two people in front of him. “Is your name Jung Wooyoung?” He asked.
“Yes, your honor,” Wooyoung replied.
“That’s what I thought. Well, Mr. Jung, according to this brief, your deceased wife Ahn Jea also known as Jung Jea, was a member of an anthropological expedition that was shipwrecked off the coast of the pacific,” Hongjoong read out.
“Yes, your honor.”
“What was she doing on an expedition? She was a mother of two infant children.”
“You will find the circumstances explained in my brief, sir,” Wooyoung replied.
Hongjoong hummed in response. “It said, Ahn Jea, also known as Jung Jea, was engaged as a photographer for a period of three months,” he read.
“We were going to take the trip together, but I got involved in a case so I couldn’t leave, so we talked it over and finally she decided that she would travel alone. She needed a change, she had a tough time with the children, teething and all that-”
“Thank you, Mr. Jung, just the facts are needed, never mind the teething,” Hongjoong dismissed. He looked through the brief again. “When did you say the ship went down?”
“It’s all explained there in page seven,” Wooyoung pointed out, making the judge flip through the papers.
“Okay, here it is, last seen entering one of the lifeboats when-” Hongjoong leaned back as a flash of light hit his face. “What’s shining in my eyes?” He held a hand up to cover his face as the flash of light hit him again. “What’s shining in my eyes? I can’t see,” He looked down to read the brief again. “Last seen entering- When a wave, oh, that’s sad, that’s very sad,” He looked up when the light hit his face again. “Hey, you, over there, miss” Hongjoong called out to the woman seated near Wooyoung.
“You mean me?” Taehee suddenly looked up.
“Please put that mirror away, it’s been reflecting off of my face.”
“Oh, so sorry,” She put her compact away.
“What are you doing in this court anyway?”
“I’m here with Mr. Jung,” Taehee replied.
“Yes she’s here with me, your honor,” Wooyoung added.
“Well, then, let’s get back to the brief, shall we? Now where was I? Page seven?”
“Yes, your honor.”
“Oh right, what efforts did you make to trace the whereabouts of your wife?” Hongjoong asked.
“It’s there on page eight, your honor. I went to Bangkok and interviewed all the available survivors who all agreed that said Ahn Jea, also known as Jung Jea, had been swept overboard before aid could reach her- Deposition...”
“No need to explain, there’s nothing to explain at all, the testimony’s all contained in here, sworn affidavits, no evidence to the contrary, the law is clear. I hereby pronounce Ahn Jea, also known as Jung Jea, legally dead,” Hongjoong hit the gavel. “Okay, now that’s done and over with, who am I marrying?” He looked over at the clerk.
“Yes sir, us,” Wooyoung gestured to himself and to Taehee.
“Us? What do you mean ‘us’?” Hongjoong turned back to him.
“Mr. Jung and myself, your honor,” Taehee spoke this time.
“You’re going to marry again, Mr. Jung?” The judge asked, and Wooyoung nodded, holding Taehee’s hand. “Are you sure you’ve had time to think it over?”
“Your honor, Mr. Jung is over 20, he’s of legal age,” Taehee pointed out.
“Alright, alright, if you say so, hold hands, both of you,” Hongjoong gestured for them to come closer.
They smiled at each other. “Here we go, darling,” Wooyoung was beaming as the judge recited the proceedings.
A truck pulled up in front of a house later that day. Ahn Jea couldn’t believe it. She was finally home after so long. All those years away, she was beginning to think that she would forget everything about it, including Wooyoung. “Is this where you wanted to go?” The driver looked over at her as she unfastened her seatbelt.
“Yes, yes it is, thanks for the ride, Yunho,” Jea sniffled as she got down.
“It’s okay, Mrs. Jung. What are you crying about?” He asked.
“I-I just can’t believe it. You see, I live here, I live in this house” Jea wiped her eyes.
“It’s not a bad-looking house, there’s a swimming pool and everything,” Yunho looked over from his seat to what he can see from the house behind her. “Is that something to cry about?”
“No, no, but I haven’t seen it in years, I can’t help it, I’m finally back,” Jea wiped her eyes with the sleeve of the jacket she was wearing.
“Uh, not that it’s any of my business, but when a girl like yourself is dressed up in a sailor’s uniform gets dropped off at a classy place like this-”
“It’s an awfully long story for this, but I’ll tell you if we run into each other sometime,” Jea replied.
“Okay then, goodbye,” Yunho waved at her as he drove away.
Jea turned around. She was really back, back to civilization, back on asphalt roads, back to where houses actually looked like houses. More importantly, she was back home, back to her two children Woojin and Jiyoung, whose laughter and chatter she could hear from where she stood. She wondered what they looked like by now, hoping that Woojin would at least look like his father.
“Watch me do a swan dive!” Woojin jumped in the pool, splashing some water on his sister.
“Nuh uh, you can’t do it, you’re not supposed to run!” Jiyoung jumped in after him.
Woojin shuddered. “It’s like an iceberg in here,” He said, getting out of the pool, his sister following him in getting up.
“Hello,” Jea spoke, making the two children stop and look at her.
“Hello,” Woojin greeted.
“Hello,” Jiyoung greeted her as well. She tilted her head. “Are you a lady or a man?” She asked.
It was another moment where she was reminded of how she looked in front of them now. “Well, I used to be a lady,” She replied, attempting to take off the hat she used to cover up her hair that was still quite long but oddly cut at the ends.
“A sailor? You’re wearing sailor pants,” Woojin pointed out.
“Ah, not exactly,” Jea shook her head. Woojin definitely did look like Wooyoung, she thought. He even got a little bit of his personality too.
“Our mother was practically a sailor,” Woojin said. “She went down in a shipwreck. We’re not supposed to know.”
“Oh, do you miss her very much?” Jea asked carefully.
“Oh sure,” the boy nodded.
“Would you like to have her back?”
“We can’t have her back, she’s drowned. We put flowers on her grave every year with daddy,” He replied.
“You do?”
“And then daddy buys us ddeokbokki and cola,” Jiyoung added.
“Oh,” Jea smiled a little, amused at the little girl. “Woojin, is your grandmother home?”
The boy looked at her suspiciously. “...How did you know my name?”
“Oh, uh, I just guessed,” Jea said. “Is she home?”
“I forgot, we’re not allowed to talk to strangers,” Woojin jumped back in the pool.
“Maybe you can tell me,” She turned to Jiyoung.
“Pardon me, but we’re not allowed to talk to strangers,” Jiyoung followed her brother into the pool.
Jea nodded, having understood. It seemed too good to be true if they knew her right away. Then again, Wooyoung probably never showed them her pictures. She turned to go to the front door, in the hopes that someone, at least her mother-in-law, their grandmother, would be home. She rang the doorbell and knocked on the door for good measure. “Come in!” She heard the familiar voice of her mother-in-law say.
Jea opened the door. “Hello, mother,” She said.
Mrs. Jung looked like she had seen a ghost. “Jea! Oh my goodness, Jea,” She stepped back, her knees buckling when Jea helped her.
“Easy, mother, easy,” She said, leading Mrs. Jung into the living room. “Sit down, mom, sit down. Take a deep breath, mom, there, are you alright now?” She asked carefully.
Mrs. Jung still looked shocked, unsure of what to say. “Jea, I can’t believe it, I really can’t believe it,” She stared at Jea, almost gaping. Jea just smiled. “After all these years, oh is it really you, Jea?”
“Of course it is, mom,” Jea chuckled. “How’s Wooyoung?”
“Wooyoung?” Mrs. Jung asked, as if having snapped out of it.
“Yes, mom. Wooyoung, your son. My husband,” Jea replied. “He’s alright, isn’t he?”
“Oh yes, yes, Wooyoung’s fine,” Mrs. Jung nodded.
“Good, I’m glad he’s doing okay.”
“Jea, where have you been?”
“Ah, on an island. Latitude 12, longitude 128,” Jea recalled. “And I’d still be there if it weren’t for a Portuguese freighter wandering 200 miles off its course. They brought me back. It was a very small freighter though, very dirty. Mother, may I have a bath?”
“Of course, Jea,” Mrs. Jung got up, leading the way into what was the guest room.
Jea felt like she was looking at everything for the first time all over again as she stepped in, seeing photos of Wooyoung with the children over the years in frames on the walls down the hall. “Ah, my first hot bath in years,” She said as she removed her cap, the water from the shower hitting her right away. Mrs. Jung stood by, setting down a bathrobe and a few towels. “By the way, mom, how was my funeral?”
“It was lovely, Dr. Choi Jongho had this wonderful message,” Mrs. Jung replied.
“Ah, I wish I’d been there,” Jea chuckled. “Tell me about Wooyoung. He’s still as handsome as ever, isn’t he?” She asked.
“Wooyoung? I think so.”
“Doing well at work?”
“Oh yes.”
“Where is he now? Is he still at the office? I’m dying to see him,” Jea asked this time, rinsing the shampoo out of her hair.
“Jea, there’s something I’ve got to tell you,” Mrs. Jung immediately handed her the robe and the towels when she turned the shower tap off. Jea covered herself with the robe, feeling her shoulders relax when the soft fabric was around her. “Wooyoung’s married again.”
Jea stopped, staring at her mother-in-law. “...He is?..Is she nice?”
“No.”
“Do I know her? Kim Ara, I bet, she’s always had her eye on Wooyoung-”
“No, he met her on the boat when he went to look for you,” Mrs. Jung replied.
“On the boat, huh,” Jea looked down, feeling the embarrassment seep in. “One thing I somehow never thought about, Wooyoung marrying again. How long did he wait?”
“They only got married this morning.”
“Today?” Jea gaped.
“And they went off on a road trip to Grant for the honeymoon-”
“Grant?! Oh don’t tell me he’s taking her to the same hotel we- Oh no…”
“Well, Wooyoung had some business to do- What are you going to do?” Mrs. Jung asked.
“Well I’ve got some business in Grant. Have you got anything I can wear, mom?”
“I saved a few of your old things, Jea,” Mrs. Jung replied.
“There are planes to Grant now, isn’t there?” Jea removed the towel off her head, following her mother-in-law to the room where they kept her clothes.
“Yes, I think so- what are you going to do, Jea?” Mrs. Jung was getting concerned.
“I don’t know, but I hope I’m not too late. I plan on being part of the reception committee. I’ll get to Grant first!” Jea rushed into another room to get dressed.
Jea had arrived at the mountainside hotel, the Dunne, a little while later. The hotel still looked the same as she last saw it. It definitely brought back memories of her honeymoon with Wooyoung, and now he was going to make new memories with his new wife here. She approached the man on the front desk, whose name tag read Choi San. “Yes, how may I help you?” He asked.
“Hello, is Mr. Jung Wooyoung here?” She asked.
“No, Mr. Jung hasn’t arrived yet,” San shook his head.
“Oh,” She breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, thank you very much.”
“Are you the bride by any chance?” San smiled.
“No, not exactly,” Jea replied. “I’ll just wait for him if you don’t mind, thank you very much,” She stepped back, noticing his confused expression.
“You’re very welcome, madam,” San observed her as she sat on the nearest couch, next to a few elderly women who were reading the magazines on the coffee table in front of them. “That’s very strange,” He muttered to himself.
“We’re here, Taehee,” Wooyoung smiled as they entered the hotel, pulling Taehee along by the hand as they approached the desk, bellhops already behind them with their luggage. “Good evening,” He greeted the front desk. “My name is Jung Wooyoung.”
“Oh yes, Mr. Jung, I believe that a young lady-”
“Do you have a reservation for me please?” Wooyoung cut him off.
San looked through the books in front of him. “Yes sir, you do. Suite A, Mr. Jung,” He said with a smile.
“Oh,” His expression fell. “Suite A.”
“It’s our best suite.”
“Well, I-I’d rather not take one, if you don’t mind,” Wooyoung said. “I couldn’t take that suite because- well, you see, I’ve been here before.”
“Oh-oh very well, sir,” San quickly composed himself, glancing at Jea who was seated all the way at the couches and looking just as surprised as he was. “Take them to suite C,” He directed the bellhops behind them.
“Let’s go, shall we?” Wooyoung turned to his new bride, their arms linked as they went into the elevator. As he turned to face the doors, his eyes widened at what he saw approaching the elevator. Jea was there, waving at him. The doors were moving and he found himself bending over to the side as if trying to catch another look at her before it closed. “Oh no, no, no…”
“Wooyoungie, what is it?” Taehee asked.
“Oh, uh, imagination, I-I thought I saw something, nothing to worry about, it must be the trip,” He shook his head as the elevator began to move.
“Wooyoung, I just love our room, isn’t it so nice?” Taehee was twirling in her place as the bellhops set their luggage down, while he quickly put his clothes away. “Look at the view!”
Was it her? Was it really Jea? His wife? The woman he saw as the love of his life? Was she really back? The questions stayed in his mind as he put his suitcase away. “Yeah, yeah, it’s beautiful,” He nodded, casting a glance out the window.
“Wooyoung, darling, aren’t you going to kiss me?” Taehee went up to him.
“Hmm? Oh, sure, sure,” Wooyoung pecked her lips. “But uh, Taehee, I have to go downstairs again.”
“Oh what on earth for?”
“Well I-I-I’ve got to make sure that uh well- I’ll be right back,” He stammered. “I was expecting a call.”
“But they’ll ring up here,” Taehee gestured to the phone nearby. “Is something the matter, Wooyoungie?”
“Uh,” He needed to think of another excuse, fast. “No, no, nothing’s wrong, Taehee, it’s just uh- You know what I need? I need to get a shave!” He blurted out.
“...What?” Taehee stared at him.
“I’ll go down to the barber shop and I’ll be right back,” Wooyoung turned to leave, skidding to a stop when Taehee was still holding onto his hand.
“But you don’t need a shave, your skin is smooth, practically hairless, Wooyoungie,” She said.
“Well, I feel like an ape.”
“Wooyoung, why don’t you shave yourself? I’d love to watch you do it, you remember the way Victoria always watched Albert?” She pulled him close.
“Victoria? Albert?”
“Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, silly,” Taehee smiled, running a finger along his jaw.
“Oh, well, he-” Wooyoung took her hand. “Prince Albert didn’t hack himself to pieces the way I do when I shave- I’ll go down to the barber shop and I’ll be right back! I won’t be long!” He rushed out of the suite. He wanted to know if he wasn’t seeing things, if it was really Jea standing in front of the elevator when he saw her. Wooyoung got out of the elevator to the ground floor, looking around frantically for a sign of her until he saw her sitting on the chair. “Jea! Jea!” He called out, making her look up.
“Hello, Wooyoung,” Jea smiled, standing up.
“Jea, it is you, isn’t it?” Wooyoung ran up to her.
“Yes, yes it’s me, Wooyoung,” She said.
“Jea,” His arms were around her in a tight embrace. “Jea, kiss me,” He tilted his head, meeting her lips with his.
Jea closed her eyes again, content. “That’s all I wanted to know, Wooyoung,” She said quietly as they pulled away.
As much as Wooyoung wanted to keep looking at her, he was aware where they were having this moment. “Look, let’s- let’s go somewhere private, where we can talk.”
“Where?” She asked, a little too eagerly.
“W-well, let’s go to your room.”
“But I don’t have a room.”
“In that case I’ll get you one, clerk!” Wooyoung ran up to the front desk again, getting San’s attention.
“Yes, Mr. Jung?-”
“I’d like to have another room.”
“Another room-”
“Yes I just said another room.”
“Oh, certainly, Mr. Jung,” San couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“Thank you, is-is Suite A available?” Wooyoung rushed him.
“Suite A?” San looked even more surprised.
“Yes, suite a,” Jea added.
“Suite A! Take them to suite A!” San gestured for the bellhop nearby, handing him the keys.
The suite looked the same way as Jea and Wooyoung remembered it to be, Wooyoung resisting the urge to kiss Jea again, the self-control only showing just when they were finally alone. Jea recalled where she had been, and how she was able to get back while he tried to absorb everything that was happening to him today, explaining to her what he did that morning. “That’s all there is to tell you, Wooyoung. Except now, it’s an awkward situation of course but you’ll have to face it,” She said.
“Yes, you mean-” Wooyoung buried his face in his hands. “You mean, telling Taehee? Yeah, I know, I’ve got to. What am I going to say to her?”
“That depends on what you feel, Wooyoungie,” Jea replied with a shrug.
“It’s not as easy as all that,” He said. “You see, uh, Taehee’s- Very sensitive, she’s uh, high-strung.”
“Ah, one of those,” Jea nodded in understanding.
“Mhmm, this is going to be a horrible shock to her.”
“Wooyoung, are you in love with her?” Jea thought to be direct this time.
“No,” He admitted. Jea wasn’t sure whether to feel relieved or not.
“You must’ve told her you were, didn’t you?”
“Well I-I- uh-” He stammered.
“Sure you did,” She teased, making him nod again. “Wooyoung how could you, the minute my back was turned-”
“The minute?!”
Jea laughed, patting his shoulder. “Wooyoung, look at you, if you could see your face,” She laughed some more, making him laugh as well.
“Don’t joke now, darling, this is too serious-” They stopped when the phone rang. “I’ll get it, it’s probably for me,” He picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“Mr. Jung, this is Choi San, the desk clerk,” He began. “Mr. Jung, we don’t like to interfere with the privacy of our guests...but your wife is calling for you again,” San sounded annoyed.
“Well tell my wife I’ll be right up, I’m still being shaved!” Wooyoung replied, hanging up. He turned back to Jea, who was still laughing next to him. “I’ve got a feeling you’re enjoying my misery,” He said. He couldn’t get mad, but the absurdity of their situation only got him chuckling.
“Wooyoung, did you think she’d make a good mother?” Jea asked. “Was that why you were attracted to her?”
“Yeah, that’s it,” He sat back.
“You thought she’d be good for Woojin and Jiyoung?” She raised a brow, sensing the uncertainty in his tone.
“Of course, of course!”
“Oh,” She nodded, sitting back as well.
“You don’t believe me?”
“I didn’t say I don’t believe you. I’m just facing facts,” Jea said. “You love this woman enough to ask her to be your wife and the mother of my children. That takes a lot of love. Are you-are you sure you don’t love her?”
He sensed the uncertainty in her tone this time. “Yeah, the moment I saw you downstairs I knew I was still in love with you and I wasn’t in love with her.”
“I bet you say that to all your wives,” Jea teased him again.
“I could strangle you,” Wooyoung reached for her hand, a chortle escaping his lips.
“Well that’s a way out,” Jea squeezed his hand.
“I can’t just barge in and say ‘Sorry, my mistake, the marriage is off’ can I? What am I? An idiot?” Wooyoung sighed.
Jea stood up. “Look, let’s try something like this. I’ll be uh, what’s her name again?”
“Taehee.”
“Taehee,” She repeated with a slight pout as she said it. “Alright, I’m Taehee. Now, you pretend to come in, this is our suite.”
Wooyoung stood up. “What?”
“Go with it, I’m Taehee, and you’re coming in to tell me,” She reminded him, sauntering down the front hall.
“Alright, I’m in-” Wooyoung fought the urge to laugh at the way she pretended. “He-hello Taehee.”
“Oh that’s good, that’s good,” Jea laughed. “Now she’ll say ‘Hello darling, I’m terribly sorry, it’s been such a long time,’” She said it with a pout, pretending to sound cute.
“She doesn’t talk like that-” Wooyoung shook his head.
“Oh, well, what’s the difference? Then she’ll say ‘Darling, aren’t you going to kiss me?’” She went up to him, lips still in a pout as she said it. Jea’s expression softened. “Well...aren’t you?”
Wooyoung took her in his arms. “Jea.”
“Wooyoung,” and she kissed him, her arms around him.
The door suddenly opened, making them pull away. It was San. “Could I see you for a moment, Mr. Jung?” Annoyance was evident on his face.
“What do you mean by barging in here?!” Wooyoung was close to yelling.
“Mr. Jung, I’m the clerk of this hotel-”
“Yeah I know who you are-”
“Mr. Jung, I feel that it is my duty to inform you that we run a first-class place and we don’t like to be a party to an intrigue, we’ve maintained a respectable reputation for decades and we don’t intend to lose it in one night!”
“My respectable reputation is just as high as your hotel’s.”
“And don’t forget mine!” Jea chimed in. “It’s a very simple situation. Explain it to him, Wooyoung.”
“Alright I will,” Wooyoung took a deep breath. “Now I came-I came up here with my wife, my bride, really and- Now my wife, not my bride- Why should I bore you with all the details?”
“I won’t be bored!”
“Listen, it’s as simple as a-b-c!” Wooyoung said.
San looked apprehensive. “Don’t tell me you’ve got somebody in B!”
Wooyoung sighed, lips forming a line in frustration at the clerk. “Wooyoungie, I think you’d better go,” She said.
“If you please” San glared at him.
“I’ll be back, Jea-”
“I’m afraid not, Mr. Jung,” San cut him off as he stepped aside to see him out.
“Bye, Wooyoung, and don’t forget! You’re going to tell her” Jea called out.
“Sure, sure, I’ll-I’ll uh, I’ll tell her,” Wooyoung looked over at her again before San followed him.
“This way, Mr. Jung!-”
“Oh shut up, will you!” Wooyoung snapped, trudging down the hall.

You Look After Him Whilst He Films A Programme ~ Exo Reaction
Suho:
The flashes of the cameras instantly made you tense up as you pulled up outside of the red carpet for the first showing of The Universe’s Star. “You alright?” Junmyeon questioned, spotting the panic in your eyes.
Your head nodded, straightening out your outfit. “It’s just a little bit overwhelming, I thought a few of your fans would be here, but not this many.”
“If it’s too much, I’d understand if you want to go home,” he smiled, pressing his hand against the small of your back. “I didn’t think it would be this big either.”
“No,” you smiled, glancing down the red carpet. “I want to be here to support you, I saw first-hand how hard you worked on this programme, I’m not missing the chance to finally be able to see some of the stuff you’ve been up to.”
His own smile grew, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “I’ll stay right beside you all night long, I’m just glad you’re here.”
“I wouldn’t miss this for the world,” you assured him, “you’ve worked hard, and I’m so excited to be able to watch.”
“I just hope it lives up to your high expectations.”
Xiumin:
His eyes lit up as he spotted you stood behind the cameras that were filming as the director yelled for a break to be taken. “What are you doing here?” He chuckled, weaving around the staff to be able to see you.
Straight away, you handed the bag you were holding to him. “I thought you could do with some food seeing as you’re working so hard.”
“You didn’t have to do that,” he appreciatively smiled, taking a look inside. “You bought my favourite too, you’re full of the best surprises sometimes jagi.”
“I wanted to come and see too,” you chuckled, taking a good look around the set. “I can’t believe you get to work somewhere as nice as this. How’s all of it going? Are you going to become a megastar actor at the end of this?”
His eyes widened, “I’m already a megastar,” he teased, “but why don’t you stay this afternoon and watch a bit?”
“Are you sure no one will mind?” You quizzed, but his head shook straight away. “I’d love to stay and watch you Minseok.”
“Then it’s settled, I’ll set up a spot for you.”
Lay:
You could feel Yixing’s proud eyes looking at you as he watched what you’d done with the trainees to try and choreograph their routine. “You did good,” he smiled once the cameras finally stopped rolling on you both.
You smiled appreciatively in his direction, “well when they’ve got several other coaches who work them so well, my job becomes pretty easy.”
“You’re amazing on your own, not any of the other coaches,” he assured you, taking a step off the set away from the trainees. “How are you really finding it here?”
“It’s fun,” you assured him, glancing around the room once again. “It’s certainly hard working with trainees again, but it’s fun seeing them work their way up from the bottom, reminds me what we were like a few years ago.”
His head nodded, resting a hand against your waist. “I forget sometimes that this is what my life was like a decade ago.”
“At least we can give them a lot of tips,” you added, “I’m sure there’s plenty of things you know not to do as a trainee too.”
“There were a few things I picked up on in my time at the dorm.”
Baekhyun:
Your smile grew as the producer introduced you to the team that you’d be working with on set. “Baekhyun,” a confident voice introduced himself, pulling you into a tight hug whilst you offered your hand to shake.
You could only chuckle at the tight hold he had on you. “You don’t need to introduce yourself, I even listened to your music on the way here.”
“So, you’re a fan?” He proudly quizzed, pressing his palms together. “I was already looking forward to working with you, but now I am even more.”
“I’ll be very professional,” you assured him, making sure everyone on the set heard you. “Although if you want to tell me some secrets about Exo when the cameras cut off, I’ll be more than happy to hear your stories.”
Baekhyun chuckled, nodding his head, “I’m sure I can let you in on a few secrets, as long as you give me a few acting tips.”
“I’m sure you don’t need any tips from me,” you complimented, “I’ve seen you act before; I know you’re really good.”
“I bet I’m not as good as you, though.”
Chen:
You felt your stomach drop as you saw several photos of you, taken at the King of Masked Singer set be posted all over social media. “You good?” Chen questioned, noticing how you suddenly fell silent beside him.
You handed your phone across to him, “what if they figure out that I’m here because of you? Everyone will know that it’s you behind the mask.”
“You could just be here for a guest appearance,” he suggested, trying to find the positives. “It’s not like there’s any sign of me on the photos.”
“True,” you sighed, studying across the photos one final time. “I thought I was so secretive coming into the studio, I didn’t even spot any fans stood around, they must be incredible at hiding to not be seen.”
Chen’s hand rested over yours, “there’s no point in worrying, if people do think it’s me, they’ve got no actual proof that it is me.”
“Who else would I come here to support?” You quizzed, brushing your hands through your hair, “I think I’ve messed this up for you.”
“You haven’t, I promise you, nothing is wrong.”
Chanyeol:
Your eyes peeled open as finally Chanyeol came home from a long day of filming So, I Married an Anti-Fan. “Hi,” he whispered, noticing that you were asleep, “you didn’t need to wait up for me, you should have gone to bed.”
Your head shook, stretching your arms up, “I wanted to stay up and check on you when you got home to make sure you were doing alright.”
“I’m good,” he smiled, taking a seat beside your figure, “the filming just went on a little longer than any of us imagined tonight.”
“That’s good though,” you smiled, moving across the sofa to curl into his side. “It shows that everyone cares, and they want the show to be perfect, they could have just settled, but instead they knew you could do better.”
Chanyeol’s head nodded at your words, “it doesn’t change the fact that I was desperate to get back here and come and see you though.”
“You’re home now,” you cheered, letting go of a yawn, “even if it is a little better than you had hoped to be back here.”
“I reckon now I’m home you head to bed.”
D.O.:
Your eyes widened as an email popped up on your laptop screen. You called Kyungsoo through, knowing what the only thing it could be was. “Open it,” he cheered, standing beside you with his hands on your shoulders.
Reluctantly, you opened up the email. “Congratulations,” you read out, “you’ve been cast to be a part of 100 Days of My Prince.”
“I knew it!” Kyungsoo yelled, pressing several kisses against your cheek. “I can’t believe we actually get to work on a programme together.”
“It feels like a dream,” you blushed, reading through the email yet again, just to be sure. “I was convinced they wouldn’t hire me, I thought maybe they wouldn’t want both of us on set, their faces when I told we were dating were horrible.”
Kyungsoo’s smile widened, “I told you that you shouldn’t put yourself down, your talent was the thing that got you cast.”
“And now we get to work together for the foreseeable future too,” you grinned, “that’s easily the best part out of all of this.”
“I’m excited to get spend every day with you now.”
Kai:
When you heard rumour that Jongin would be featuring on your show, you refused to believe it. That was until you walked onto set and saw him stood with his manager. “Hi,” he smiled as you walked past him.
Your eyes looked back, smiling back at him. “Hi,” you blushed, “it’s nice to meet you, I’m Y/N. I’m playing the main character.”
“I know,” he chuckled, “don’t worry I’ve done plenty of research on the show, and also a bit about you too, I wanted to get to know you.”
“Oh,” you stuttered, feeling your cheeks turn a dark shade of red. “I’m in a little bit of shock right now if I’m honest, I thought the producers were playing a joke on us when they said that you’d be making a guest appearance.”
Kai’s head nodded, “well hopefully out of all the guests you’ve had on, I can be the best first kiss that your character has.”
“There’s been a good few here already,” you teased, “but I’m sure you’ll do the job well, I’ve got high hopes for you.”
“That’s definitely a lot of pressure on me now.”
Sehun:
His brows knitted together as he walked into his dressing room, noticing several snacks laid out on the table. He followed the trial that was there until he saw you sat in his chair. “What’s this?” He chuckled, walking over to hug you.
You stood up from the chair, placing your arms around his waist. “I thought I’d come and see what you get up to, if that’s alright?”
“Of course,” he nervously giggled, pressing his palms to your cheeks. “I can show you all around if you want, there’s plenty going on today on set.”
“That would be cool,” you smiled, struggling to contain your excitement at the thought of seeing Sehun on set. “I’ve had good things about you and the production, so they better live up to my expectations now.”
Sehun nudged your hips gently, “I promise you’ll love it. I think To the Beautiful has been my favourite programme I’ve been on.”
“It’s certainly been the one I’ve noticed you smile the most with,” you pointed out, “I can tell you’re enjoying yourself.”
“I really am having the best time here.”

You, Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Yixing all spare a glance at each other before the four of your are sprinting down the stairs, your stomach doing somersaults the whole way down.
You recognize the voice. It’s Sehun.
Oh, please, please don’t let anything bad happen.
As you step onto the ground floor, you find Minseok, Jongdae and Kyungsoo had just come out of the library as well, their eyes wide and filled with fear.
Jongdae asks, “You heard that too?”
You nod at him, as everyone heads towards the door to the basement together. It’s slightly relieving to be in a big group again, but your mouth feels like sandpaper and you think you might hurl.
The basement door creaks open as Kyungsoo opens it, carefully peeking inside. There are concrete stairs leading down into the dark abyss, and instantly you know that’s a bad sign.
“Oh no.” You whisper, clutching onto the closest person which happens to be Baekhyun, who is shaking almost as badly as you.
Your footsteps echo as you make your way down the spiraling darkness. Even with your flashlights, you can hardly see to the bottom. As you finally enter the basement, it’s pitch black. Silent.
Minseok and Chanyeol use their flashlights to scan the floor, gasping when they find Jongin, Sehun and Junmyeon unconscious on the floor.
“Are they dead?” Yixing whispers, voice ringing in the quiet room.
“No, just unconscious.” Kyungsoo says after checking their pulses and breathing. He begins shaking Jongin. “Wake up!”
A quiet grumble reassures you, and you proceed to wake up the others with Jongdae’s help.
“What happened?” Baekhyun asks once they’ve regained consciousness, but they still look a bit out of it.
“The wall!” Sehun bursts out, face pale under the light of the flashlight, teeth chattering in fear. He points at the wall in front of him. “It’s a ghost!”
“What are you talking about?” Jongdae moves his flashlight to point at the wall, eyes widening when he realizes.
Everyone takes a step back.
Written in what you believe is blood, are the words, “Catch me if you can.”
Chanyeol puts a hand over his mouth, trembling. “No, no way. This has got to be a prank. It’s not funny, guys.”
“I swear it’s not us.” Jongin says, standing uneasily on his feet and crossing his heart. “We saw the words and then was knocked out.”
“Guys!” Junmyeon calls, having moved without anyone knowing. He looks deathly pale. “I could’ve sworn this coffin was closed when we came in.”
He points at an ancient-looking coffin, inscribed with Latin and covered in dust like it hasn’t been touched in ages. But the lid is open and inside is empty.
“You’re not telling me that there’s a zombie walking around, right?” Baekhyun squeaks.
“We need to get out of here.” Junmyeon says urgently, already halfway up the stairs. “Come on!”
Everyone scampers to follow him out, eager to get out of that terrifying basement. Who thought it was a good idea to go in there anyway?
You breathe a quiet sigh of relief once you’re out, but you still need to find a way out of the house. The air is much heavier than it was before.
“Everyone here?” Junmyeon calls.
“Let’s go to the back of the house. There might be a backyard.” Kyungsoo says, beginning to head off.
“Wait!” Jongdae yells. “Minseok is gone!”
“What?” You could’ve sworn he was right behind you, but when you turn, you find that the door to the basement had closed on its own. Your stomach sinks, dread filling you. “Oh no.”
You hurry to pull at the handle, using all your strength to open the door but it’s locked tight. You begin banging on the door. “Minseok! Are you in there?”
You press your ear to the door, the others gathering around you and holding their breaths.
You hear gurgling sounds, something like water splashing...whispers and quiet sobs.
You feel your heart stop.
The door opens suddenly, causing you to drop forward. The others rush in, scanning the room with their flashlights for Minseok.
Your eyes widen. The room now has traces of being filled with water, the wallpaper peeled and mossy, the floorboards dark and worn-down, as if it’s been underwater for many years.
The words on the wall are still there, but browned and faded.
Minseok is nowhere to be seen.
“Holy shit.”

F4!! BTS x EXO; Chapter 6~
Word Count: 3,571
A BTS x EXO fanfic!!
Based off of the Netflix series 'Meteor Garden' ;
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
Tumblr media
Chelsy sighs as she wanders throughout the halls of school
She keeps her eyes on the floor, replaying the moments from the night before
That was probably the closest she's ever going to get to Jungkook
In the middle of the 'what ifs' and 'if onlys', Chelsy found herself joined by both Namjoon and Yoongi
"You okay, my Chels?" Namjoon asks with furrowed eyebrows, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close
Yoongi looks over, rolling his eyes a bit as they continue to walk
"Let her go already." He says, trying not to sound too jealous
"She's probably just super hung over like the both of us."
"I feel absolutely fine." Namjoon shrugs
"I drowned most of the wine with fruit punch because I couldn't stand the bitter taste."
Yoongi couldn't help but laugh at that, making Namjoon lean over to punch his arm
"Just because your taste buds are heartless like the rest of you doesn't mean we're all like that." Namjoon fights back
Yoongi just continued to laugh as Chelsy looks up between the two before looking back down in a sigh
The three continue to walk down the hall when suddenly-
Their attention fell upon an unfamiliar face
It seemed as though the three weren't the only ones looking as Chelsy noticed everyone else this person seemed to walk by ended up doing it as well
"Who's that?" She asks, admiring how elegant the girl's vibe was
The small girl just keeps up a soft smile, waving at the people who were looking
She continues to walk when suddenly she sends Chelsy one as the two meet eyes
Chelsy lets out a small smile in return as her attention follows the girl walking past her
"She's so beautiful." Namjoon gulps
"I've never been that close to such a pretty girl before." He continues before being snapped out of the moment by Yoongi slapping his chest
The three watch, lifting their eyebrows when they notice F4 standing on the other end of the hall
It was almost as if they were waiting for her
Chelsy steps to the side to get a closer look
The girl stops right in front of the boys and not even seconds later Sehun was quick to walk over and pull the girl in a hug, having both Baekhyun and Lucas join in the process
"It's so good to see you again, Rosie." Sehun smiles, embracing the small girls hug
She just laughs in response before returning the tight hug from each of the three excited boys before her
"It's been so long." Baekhyun sighs
"I thought you weren't coming til after your birthday."
Rosie just places a hair behind her ear, keeping up her smile before replying
"I booked my ticket a little bit earlier." She shrugs, letting out a small scoff
"I just felt like I needed to spend my twenty-first here." She nods
"With you guys."
"And-"
She pauses a little, leaning to the side and the rest of the group already knew what she had meant by that one simple word
Lucas quickly pushes the other two dudes out of the way before stepping aside himself and revealing the last member on the other end, patiently waiting for his turn
Rosie smiles nervously, slowly walking up to the boy
As the two meet eyes, Jungkook couldn't help but let out a big teethy smile, instantly making the two pull each other in a very tight hug
Jungkook rests his head in the nape her neck, picking her up and spinning her in the process
The rest of the boys stay aside, chanting quietly for the two
"I missed you." Jungkook admits, holding her tighter
"I missed you too." Rosie replies, sniffing a bit as they finally pull away
"Hey, Kook!" Sehun calls out
"Shall we leave you two be already or can we have a turn now?" He teases, having the two snap out of the moment, now facing the rest of the group
"I'm so glad to be here with you guys again." Rosie confesses, rubbing her hands together
"I just know you four will make my birthday so special."
She smiles their way
"We need to catch up over dinner." Baekhyun suggests
"And most likely over some drinks." He adds
"You can't squeeze in six months without our Rosie into just one meal."
"He's right." Lucas agrees
"Fujis?" He suggests
"It's on us! As a welcome home gift!"
Rosie just smiles in return, about to decline when she met eyes with Sehun, who automatically nodded in reassurance
"Rosie, let us prove to you how responsible we became since you left." Sehun says, smiling a bit
"You'd be surprised at how much restraint I have towards a lot of things now a days."
"Yeah, barely." Lucas snorts and Sehun just furrows his eyebrows at the boy- having Rosie let out another laugh
"Okay, fine." She gives in
"But please nothing too expensive."
She waves a hand
"It's not worth it."
Baekhyun rolls his eyes at that, walking over to place an arm around her shoulder
"For Rosie? Anything is worth it." he smiles and Rosie just scoffs before pushing his figure away, having the rest of the group laugh along with
Chelsy continues to stare at the interaction between the five, tensing up a little when she notices how tight the hug was between her and Jungkook
She had hope, although majority of her mind and body already knew who she was
'The girl from California'
She sighs
'This is what he meant'
"Who do you think she is?" Namjoon asks, looking between his two friends
"And do you think she's single?"
Chelsy shakes her head towards her friend before listening in again
"It seems like she's an old friend of some sort." She guesses, even though in her heart she knew the actual truth
She was just hanging on to that one percent of being wrong
"Her and Jungkook seem to be close." Namjoon comes in again
"That's because they are." Yoongi replies, joining in
"That's Rosie Payumo."
"Baekhyun and Lucas mentioned last night about her arrival."
He lets out a little breath, watching the five interact
"Apparently she's back from vocational school in California, and now she's staying here for good to finally be with Jungkook again."
'To be loved by Jungkook ' Chelsy thought
'It was all I ever wanted '
Chelsy stands there, feeling her heart break more at everything, but before she could get scolded out of worry from her two friends, she was quick to beat them to the punch and throw her fake smile up
"Come on!" She motions, now jumping a little to block their view
"Let's go get lunch." She suggests
"I don't know about you two, but I'm starving!"
She lets out a friendly laugh, brushing past the two
"Uh, Chels?" Yoongi calls out before she could walk any further
"Hm?" She answers, turning around to face her friend
"The lunchroom is this way." He mentions, pointing towards the opposite direction
Chelsy looks at him before holding up her smile again- letting out another fake laugh
"I knew that." She waves a hand
"It's such a big school- I just got confused for a bit." She then continues, trying to save herself as she brushes past them again, this time a little more quickly
The two friends glance at each other before shrugging it off, following her
Jungkook stands close to Rosie, still trying to cope with the fact that she was finally here
All those letters and FaceTime calls, staying up late just for her to wake up, has finally paid off
He could gladly say Rosie Payumo is back for good, and this time there was no way in hell he was going to let her slip out of his hands again
In the middle of Baekhyun telling a funny story of what happened while she was gone, the boy noticed a familiar figure walking their way
He smiles a little as notices it was Chelsy, but it soon disappeared when he sees that she was looking directly at the floor
He watches her brush past him and disappear down the halls
He couldn't help but develop a slight worry for the girl
"Is that okay with you?"
Jungkook quickly snaps back to reality as he finds himself meeting eyes with Rosie
She sends him a small smile, having Jungkook instantly smile back in reassurance
"What was that?" He asks, looking at only her
"Sorry, I got distracted."
"I think Rosie's arrival is gonna hit him harder than the rest of us." Baekhyun teases, and the rest of the guys let out small laughs as Rosie just smiles with blushed cheeks
"I was asking if it was okay with you, to go grab lunch?" She repeats the question
Jungkook did nothing but instantly agree, nodding
"Great!" She smiles, clapping her hands
"I'm starving." She laughs, then grabbing Jungkook's hand and pulling him
The boy automatically links their fingers happily together, catching up with her pace and holding her close
"I'm glad Rosie's back." Lucas admits as they follow from behind
"I was beginning to worry that Jungkook hyung forgot how smile." He jokes
"Her arrival is good for the boy." Baekhyun adds in
"Especially since it's our last year here." He says
"Maybe he'll finally be able to focus on his music this time."
"Speaking of music-" Sehun says, coming in between the two
"You heard the girl, she wants a big party for her twenty first."
"What does that have to do with Jungkook focusing on his major?" Baekhyun squints
Sehun just sends him an 'are you stupid? ' look
"We're hiring a DJ?" He says in a ' duh ' tone
"DJ's play music?"
"I'm pretty sure we were talking about a different type of music and you're just trying to squeeze in the fact Rosie put us in charge of her birthday." Lucas laughs
"Because it's true!" Sehun defends
"Why else would she really come back for good?"
Baekhyun and Lucas look at him before looking towards the couple in front of them, smiling at each other as they approach the lunchroom doors
Sehun stays quiet as they let out another laugh, walking past him and towards their other two friends
Chelsy lets out a light breath, following her two friends to find a spot to sit at
"You were complaining about how hungry you were, and all you got was a salad?" Namjoon asks, looking at the bowl on her tray
"Yeah, my appetite changed when we got here, I guess." She lies, letting out a small laugh
"And are you sure you're okay?" Yoongi now asks, coming in
"Because you put your dressing on before sitting down." He says
"People don't usually do that."
Chelsy looks down at her filled bowl before sending a reassuring smile
"I'm fine!" She replies
"I just wanted to try something different." She shrugs, keeping up her smile
Yoongi just furrows his eyebrows a bit before looking ahead
Chelsy takes a look at his side profile, smiling to herself when suddenly she was bumped into by someone, having her bowl splatter all over her top
She looks down at herself drenched in salad dressing and leafs before looking up to meet eyes with Sehun, who seemed more focused on his shoes than anything else
"You idiot!" He yells out in anger
"Do you not have eyes?"
Chelsy was quick to help- which in her case- didn't work out at all
"I-I'm sorry-" She panics, placing her tray down on the closest table
"Here, let me try to-"
She grabs some napkins, about to lean down when she finds herself slipping completely on the puddle on the floor and falling flat on her face
Sehun just looks at her, letting out a loud laugh as she lays there, trying to get up
"You don't know how to use your eyes AND you're clumsy?"
"That's a win win for me."
He smiles before letting out another obnoxious laugh
Chelsy continues to stay in her position, embarrassed
Her palms started to clam up as her face turned bright red
She felt the tears starting to fill up, but just as she was about to get up, she feels her arm being supported
Looking up, she notices Jungkook at her side
He sends her a reassuring smile, keeping her close
"Are you okay?" He asks in worry
Chelsy meets eyes with him, unable to find the words to respond
"Come on." He says, pulling her
"We need to get you cleaned up."
Chelsy stays quiet before looking to her side to see not only everyone staring, but Rosie watching with a concerned look on her face from next to both Baekhyun and Lucas
"You're not seriously thinking of helping her, are you?" Sehun asks, looking at the two
"Jungkook- she ran into me." He tries to defend
"If anything, I should be the one who needs help, not some clumsy, stupid-"
"Stop calling her names." Jungkook interrupts coldly
"She has a name and she has feelings too." He defends
"And I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be much of a problem for you to go buy four other pairs of the same shoe."
Sehun and the rest of the lunchroom seemed to be in shock at the usually quiet boy standing up to not only his bestfriend, but one of his elders as well
But that was the last thing on Jungkook's mind as all he could really focus on was getting Chelsy out of there and cleaned up
Just as he was about to walk Chelsy out gently, he was stopped again
"If you walk out of this classroom-" Sehun begins to warn, trying to dominate the fact that he just got told in front of a lot of people from his younger friend
"Especially with her-" He pauses
"Don't think out friendship will just automatically mend after this."
"I'm not counting on it, hyung." Jungkook replies in the same cold tone
He avoids eye contact with everyone before leaving the room with Chelsy by his side
"You didn't have to do that." Chelsy sniffs as Jungkook shuffles through drawers, handing her a few towel cloths
He doesn't say a word as Chelsy continues to start up the conversation
"What is this place, by the way?" She asks, looking around
"It's F4's hangout room here." Jungkook replies calmly, now watching her clean up
"Sehun hyung bought the room when we were sophomores here."
He takes a few steps towards her, grabbing the cloth out of her hand and wiping her shirt for her before answering some more
"And I did." He says, referring to her first question
"Sehun could be a complete ass." He admits
"I'm tired of him always getting away with everything just because his family is well known."
He rants a little, focusing on the stain
"He's a really good friend, but he needs to learn more about being a decent human being."
Chelsy's breath hitches a little at how close Jungkook was to her
She begins to feel goosebumps as his fresh laundry smell brushed past her nose and overpowered the uncomfortable smell of salad dressing
She smiles to herself, beginning to feel nervous at the fact it was only them two in such a quiet room
She was about to say something when they were both joined by a familiar face, ruining Chelsy's perfect moment alone with Jungkook
"I was hoping you two were in here." Rosie's soft voice comes in, catching the two's attention
Jungkook smiles wide at the girl, leaving Chelsy's side to accompany her instead
"What are you doing here?" He asks and Rosie smiles up at her boyfriend before looking past him and at the girl sitting on top of the coffee table
"I'm here to help." She replies, taking off her backpack
She unzips it open, pulling out another outfit
She walks up to Chelsy with the items, gladly offering it her way
"What Sehun did earlier wasn't cool at all, and no one deserves to be treated that way." She says, meeting eyes with her
"I apologize for my friends behavior." She bows
"I grabbed a few items from my luggage." She continues
"I was going to go out and buy a brand new outfit for you, but I didn't think I had time to come back before you left."
Chelsy looks at the girl before her and the outfit in her hands, completely speechless
She was apologizing for her friend, and even offered to buy a brand new outfit for a girl she barely even knew
Chelsy didn't think that such nice people like this actually existed
"I-" Chelsy sniffs
"I don't know what to say." She breaths, now meeting eyes with her again
"I can't take these-" She begins to decline
"Yes you can." Rosie interrupts, letting out a soft laugh
"It's my offering."
She gives Chelsy a nod of reassurance before the both of them were joined in by Jungkook at Rosie's side
Chelsy notices how Jungkook's eyes were glued on her, smiling in admiration
Now she knew why Jungkook was like this
Because his girlfriend was the same way
Rosie offers a hand towards her
"Come on." She smiles
"I'll help you put it on." She motions
Chelsy does nothing but place a hand in hers, getting up and off of the coffee table
She then sends Jungkook a small smile as the two stop in front of him
"Why don't you head on over to class?" She suggests
"I could handle it from here."
Jungkook just smiles down at her
"I'll check in with you two at the end of lecture." He replies
He then steps back, sending both a respectful bow before walking towards the exit and out the doors
Chelsy stands there awkwardly as Rosie turns around to face her with a wide smile
"Well, let's go!" She says, letting out an excited giggle before grabbing her hand to lead her to the bathroom
Chelsy looks at Rosie, watching as she opens her makeup powder- dipping her brush on top and placing the makeup lightly on Chelsy's face
"You really didn't have to do all of this." Chelsy repeats the same words
"It's no problem at all." Rosie replies, smiling
She stays quiet for a bit, grabbing her on the go lip gloss, opening it and placing it gently on her lips
"After what happened in the lunchroom, I could tell Jungkook really cares about you." She says and Chelsy couldn't help but be thrown off guard a little by that
"He's never stood up to Sehun before." She continues, keeping up a smile
"So a special friend of Jungkook is a special friend of mine."
Chelsy's heart began to feel warm at her nice words and suddenly she started to regret all her feelings towards the boy
"What's your name by the way?" She asks, snapping her out of the moment
"Chelsy." She replies
"Rosie." The girl introduces, lending a hand her way
Chelsy just smiles, taking the offer and slightly shaking her hand before the two let out small laughs
"Will you be busy anywhere near the second of next month?" She asks and Chelsy tilts her head a bit before answering
"I'm not too sure." She shrugs
"Probably not."
"Good." Rosie responds, sending her a bright smile
"Because knowing Sehun and them-" She pauses
"A huge party is already well planned out in their heads, and I already know I'd be more comfortable with you by my side."
Chelsy was thrown off a bit at the invitation
She couldn't think that far ahead, considering everything that's already happened was nowhere near on her agenda of how her first days of college were going to be
But nevertheless- for some reason, Chelsy trusted Rosie
"Are you sure you want me?" She asks and Rosie couldn't help but laugh at that
"You're interesting, Chelsy!" She says, pushing her a little
"I don't have a lot of friends who are girls over here." She continues, now sending her a gentle smile
"One of the reasons why I moved in the first place was because most of the girls here were so far up these dudes asses that my feelings were never put into consideration." She confesses
She sends one more smile towards Chelsy before finishing up her story
"Although it was really hard for me to leave Jungkook-"
She sighs
"I just couldn't bare the feeling of being unwelcomed, you know?" She looks over at her
"I completely understand." Chelsy agrees, relating on a deeper level
"I'm glad." Rosie scoffs with a wide smile
She nods back, placing her hands on top of Chelsy's
"And that's also another reason why I followed my heart into helping you." She says
"Because the feeling of having everyone talk down on you is something I would never wish upon anyone."
She squeezes her hands a little
"I just wanted to show you, you're not alone."
At that moment Chelsy couldn't help but pull Rosie into a tight hug, in which she gladly gave in, hugging her tighter
Chelsy smiles to herself, slightly excited on what the rest of her days were going to be like from now on
Especially with a girl like Rosie by her side
