Icarus flew higher and higher and higher. Until the sun was all he could see. And goodness was it a sight. It was bright. Enough so that his eyes felt like they were burning. And he could feel his skin nearly searing off. And he could feel his wings burning.

Then he was falling.

He would surely die from this height.

But who could think of death in a moment like this? He had seen the sun. Gods, it was so large and otherworldly and so… beautiful. He would die over and over again if it meant he got to nearly touch the sun- if it meant he got to feel its golden rays burning him.

Before he could; however, a warm hand wrapped around his wrist.

A man had caught him. With long golden hair and golden eyes and warm skin that nearly glowed. There was no moment of realization- no confusion or disbelief. It took no time at all for the dots to connect.

“I must say. In all my years of pulling the sun chariot… no mortal has ever tried to reach me before.” Apollo’s eyes twinkled as he held on to Icarus by his wrist and he couldn’t help but sweat nervously.

So this was divinity. A handsome strong face with a beautiful smile and shining golden eyes that hurt to look at. A bow and quiver strapped to his back with a revealing toga that barely covered his chest. It was impudent- and blasphemous. Yet Icarus could not dare to look away from him.

“Y-You’re beautiful.” He blurts out unknowingly.

The god lets out a soft chuckle, “So I’ve been told.”

Icarus nearly slips out of Apollo’s grasp before being caught by him again, “Careful… you nearly fell there.”

“I… I fear I already have”

All proceeds go to refurbishing crime alley- and apparently it’s been so successful that most kids I knew back then are now working in Wayne Industries. So- And you know that’s not the only thing? I have a park now. Like a genuine park named after me. With a statue of me in the center of a god damn water fountain. My favorite gargoyle was moved to the entrance of the park. Fucking hell Talia- I HAVE A MENU ITEM AT BATBURGER. NOT ROBIN. NOT RED HOOD. LIKE GENUINELY JASON PETER TODD HAS A FUCKING MENU ITEM THERE! You know what would be a really cool direction for Punchline to take? I would love to see a comic where she is being paralleled with Tim Drake. Since while Tim hyperfixated on Batman and Robin- Punchline hyperfixated on The Joker. It could be a really cool deep dive into the importance of role models and also just a really cool way to juxtapose Batman and Joker.

You know that thing where we’re like “Joker shouldn’t have a backstory” because it ruins the mystery and whatnot? That but with Alfred.

Screw all the comics telling us that he’s an ex-intelligence officer or that he’s just a regular guy that got promoted to being a butler. I want Alfred to basically be a cryptid. He just kinda showed up one day and the Waynes rolled with it. One time when Bruce’s parents were still alive he asked them how they met Alfred. And they were just like; “…That’s a good question.”

And whenever Alfred is asked he always comes up with the most absurd lies.

“Oh, yes Master Bruce, I met your parents after a blood ritual gone wrong and now I am forced to serve this family forever.”

“I was an assassin sent to kill your parents and pilfer their riches but alas I grew to attached to them and their adorable little rascal of a son.”

“I tripped and fell from the heavens because of how distraught I was at your Father’s complete and utter lack of self-preservation”

And the Batkids will sometimes try to get the truth out of him but give up pretty quickly. Except Tim. Tim seems to have figured it out. That’s gotta be why both of them have seemingly stayed the same age all this time.

Can we talk about the blatant parallels between Loki and Thor’s character arcs?

Loki wanted to be king and tried achieving said status through violence. Shown in the Avengers when he invades New York. Thor also wanted to be king and tried proving himself worthy through violence. Shown in Thor when he attacks the Frost Giants.

Both are harshly punished- Loki through the TVA and the Avengers and Thor being stripped of his powers.

However both realise the error of their ways because they found love. Thor with Jane and Loki with Sylvie Mobius. This leads them to realising that sacrificing themselves is the only way. And in doing so both of them prove themselves worthy. Loki of a throne and Thor of his powers.

God damn!!! Finally got around to watching the season 2 finale of Loki. And when I tell you my mouth nearly fell to the floor-

That was everything I wanted and more!! Also when Mobius and Sylvie are peaking through the window to look at Loki I was honestly like “girl move he’s talking to Mobius”. Also not Mobius dipping from “the only life he ever knew” as soon as Loki was gone. Mobius be fr you wanted to stay because of your hot godly coworker didn’t you. (This is a joke- i actually really that he went back to his sons in the end.)

Bruce is so caught up in his grief that he… misses Jason coming home.

Jason, fresh out of his grave and confused (and traumatized) as all hell is just wondering where the hell Alfred is (“I gave him a lengthy vacation, Jaylad.” “And he agreed!?!?!?”) and why Bruce is acting like everything Jason says and does is some kind of tear jerker and good gods, B, are you trying to die you can’t just drop down in the middle of a gun fight with no plan Jesus Christ and why haven’t you eaten the spaghetti I made you dad!?!

Bruce is just happy his mind is kind enough to create such a vivid hallucination of his dead son.

The boy groaned into his pillow as he turned to the side, not noticing the dangerous presence at the corner of the room.

Talia didn’t understand what Father saw in Timothy. From where she was standing he didn’t seem so special. In fact, he looked weak. Only 2 years younger than Jason yet so frail in comparison. His body slim and nearly collapsing in on itself. Eye bags dark and pronounced on his face.

Does he eat?

Or even sleep?

Even though Father and her disagreed plenty about Damian’s upbringing, he had never depraved the boy of food. Claiming that he would need a sufficient diet to stay in perfect fighting condition.

And this boy… was in no position to fight.

He looked like-

Jason.

Talia remembers when she had found Jason. Prowling the streets of Gotham. Mind half-formed and body still aching from the torture it had endured. She told herself it was a strategical move. To use him against her beloved. But in truth it wasn’t strategical at all. Something about Jason had screamed at her to take in. To protect. To care for.

Jason hadn’t liked Timothy. Had wanted to hurt him.

So did her Damian.

A reoccurring trend in Timothy’s life it seems.

The boy whimpers and struggles in his sleep. A nightmare. And Talia’s fingers find themselves combing through jet black hair, a familiar lullaby on her lips. And he slowly relaxed in her hold, his breathing steadied. Her beloved would come looking for him soon. Would not let father keep him here.

And she will let him go. Like she always does.

And she will yearn to go with him. Like she always does.

I saw a bunch of people say that dick and cass would also cry. Which- fair. But you know who else would feel very deeply for this film? KON!!! Not only is Kon alien he is also a generic experiment made by Lex. He also cries.

Damian Wayne’s favourite movie is Lilo and Stitch. I feel very, very strongly about this. A story about an alien who is originally created to be a weapon and reek havoc but eventually has a change of heart because he finds a family who accepts him as he is? Yeah no Dick watched this movie with him and Damian straight sobbed.
