Happy Earth Day, all!
Okaaaaay, so another unintentional long break from social media. Very sorry! Last year we adopted two adorable furry friends, they’re a handful and a half keeping us so busy but we love ‘em. Whoever said that adopting two kittens is easier than one is a liar though. lol <3 I'm excited to share with you in my next post!
Anyway, let’s make earth day an every day thing and not just a day or a week. Show our momma earth some love by remembering to recycle or use less water or shop small! Even small steps can make a meaningful impact.
I’m proud that my little shop has been running on solar power since 2019, and everything in my shop is earth focused and made from recycled and eco-friendly materials. Yay!
To celebrate our mother earth, enjoy 15% off everything in my shop this week. Use code EARTH15 at checkout. Thank you so much for continuing to support me!
xo,
Janie <3

Hey all! It’s been sooooo long and quite a journey for me the past several months. I know I’ve been neglecting my Tumblr and basically all social media so I thought I’d pop in with an update for you!
In late Summer of last year I was helping my dad out at his house rushing around on a blazingly hot summer day and before I knew it, I was up in the air and then down on the ground head first into a free fall. I had tripped with nothing to break my fall, except the side of my wrist/hand. I had broken it. I asked the urgent care doc, “Oh, you mean a hairline fracture?”. Nope! A complete oblique break to my Distal Radius bone plus some sprains, and bruises on my nose, elbow, shoulder and knees.
So I’ve never broken a bone before, it sucks, really don’t recommend it lol. Lots of pain. Wearing a cast for 7 weeks, I was pretty depressed not being able to do lots of things and the incident itself was pretty traumatizing. I've been so lucky my hubs has helped me so much, especially during the first few months...you really don’t realize how much you need a body part until you can’t use it. We were literally making journals together, it was crazy!
I'm at a point now where I can do daily tasks with relative ease, though I am still working through ROM and strength training with tendonitis, and even with physical therapy it’s been a slow process.
I managed to keep my shop open the entire time without closing so I’m pretty proud of that. Before the injury I had just started learning how to screenprint, and I’m back at it! Will share more soon!
I hope you’re well, happy and healthy! Thanks so much for sticking with me, I really appreciate it. :) xo Jane

Quick shop update...I’m so stinkin’ excited to share that I’ve ditched the cellophane sleeves for 2022 for all cards and journals in my retail shop! Cellophane *is* biodegradable but unfortunately it’s not recyclable. Instead, I’ll be transitioning to these adorable kraft glassine bags made from post-consumer 100% recycled materials, 100% recyclable, plastic-free and compostable. And they look super cute! Plus, they'll protect your goodies while in transit, too. Yay!

I’ve taken a bit of a break from social media to focus on new art, but stopping in real quick to celebrate Earth Day with you! Last year we started a bunch of plants from seeds, it was great. We had a little patio garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and strawberry blonde marigolds. This year I’m doing a different variety of flowers from seeds, including Profusion and Zahara Zinnias (also plotting and planning the veggies)!
Do you have fun garden plans this year? Even a single small plant can help the environment, including the pollinators. I would love to know what’s on your agenda!
To celebrate earth day, I’m running a sale in my shop for the next two days including these eco-friendly stickers made from earth-friendly materials! You can find these and other goodies in my shop.
Happy Earth Day, all! xo Jane

Cheers to the New Year — in just a few days!
I hope you had a wonderful holidays and you are doing well! If you missed out on sending holiday cards this year, New Year cards are always a great idea now through January!
These illustrated New Years cards were inspired by the winters here in NY with some cozy holiday vibes and cheery glitter-like bubbles in semi-muted shades of green, mustard, peach, red and brown, tree branches and some snow balls added in for good measure. Hand lettering says “Cheers to the New Year” with dots and stars in gold-like tones. These are environmentally friendly & festive, made from 100% recycled materials (and no new trees!). <3 Now up in my shop!
I hope you have an awesome Wednesday!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (Part 1)...
I know it’s getting a little late, but I’m so excited new holiday cards are up in my shop! I have a small confession… supply chain issues got the better of me this year with low paper availability which caused delays in posting these… but the good news is I’ve now got plenty of 100% post-consumer (no new trees!) recycled cardstock and all of these holiday and Christmas cards are now available. Yay! I had so much fun illustrating these, I hope you like them too. See links below:
Gingerbread Village | Oh Snap Gingerbread Man | Christmas Tree Snow Globe | Dachshund Through the Snow
Also, everything in my shop is 15% off including discounted sets (no coupon code needed). Sale is on now and will run through end of day 12/1. I’m excited to get these shipped out to you and your loved ones asap! Thanks so much for supporting small businesses like mine, it means so much to me. 💕

Edited to add Part 2 here.

New Owl-some Birthday Cards
I meant to share these owl birthday cards in my last update before Halloween, but forgot! Anyway, these are in the shop! Inspired by Fall (and those with birthdays around Halloween like me and my sister) but so cute for anytime of the year. Perfect for a nature loving owl-some friend and printed on beautifully textured recycled cardstock.
Hope your Wednesday’s a hoot. :)

Happy Tuesday! Did you have a great Halloween? This year we made a candy box dispenser for the trick or treaters and by 8pm it was all gone! The idea came from this post from thepinningmama.com (we made a modded version with an inside funnel and a little tray at the bottom :)).
