Hello lovelies,
A review you've all been waiting for!!!!
My naked truth?
I can't decide if I loved this book or hated it, which is why I only rated it 8 out of 10.
There were times that I was sitting on the edge of my seat in pure excitement.. and then there were times that I wanted to throw up in so much disgust.
Tumblr media
I almost cried but I didn't.
This book...god, this book was emotionally grueling.
Lily and Ryle, toxic from the get-go. Ryle literally asked her for a one-night stand THE NIGHT THEY MET??? AND THEN after everything Lily told him about her father and mother's relationship, he still had the AUDACITY to put his MF hands on her????
I mean now the roof scene.. magnificent but seriously, Ryle? You were suppose to be MR. PERFECT.
I loved the Ellen letters about Atlas.. loved but do we not think it's a little creepy for a 15 year old to be sneaking a 18 year old into her house... Now wait, before you judge me for saying that, I know it's only 3 years and she was about to turn 16 but the way he kept asking her when she was turning 16.. that made me feel funny..
but then her father literally almost killing him.. my heart shattered.
Do you see now why I said love/hate relationship with this book?
At the end, I loved that they finally came together and that Atlas kept his promise about coming back to her.
"You can stop swimming now, Lily. We finally reached the shore."
I was punching AIR. I kind of wish Atlas would've beat the shit out of Ryle though.
He does not deserve Lily. He does not deserve Emerson. He doesn't even deserve his own family.
Now, please, Allysa.. My die hard of a bestie.. She's amazing, talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular. Her and Marshall are complete opposites and I love it.
I literally cannot wait for "It Starts with Us" to come out because I am dying to hear Atlas' side.
I hope it'll be a jaw dropping as this one was.
Happy reading babes! <3

I couldn’t resist this copy of Edgar’s thrillers! He is by far my favorite writer.
I’m really wanting to finish all of Colleen’s books before starting something new! I also wanted to read “It Ends With Us” before starting “It Starts With Us” when it comes out in October!

My thought process during this book:
😃🤗😦🤔😤🤭🫣🥵🫠😱😱😱😱🤬😭
This one is killer. It met all of my needs: suspenseful, dark and disturbing, romance, and thrilling. I actually did not expect this one to be as good as it was. This book was FUCKED UP from beginning to end. I absolutely loved it.
I really hated seeing the negative reviews on this one because I genuinely thought it was an easy read. It kept me on my toes the entire time. Hell, even I was scared of Verity. It wasn't predictable. The plot twists were HUGE, especially the ending.
Compared to Ugly Love, this book was much better.
There were a few things I hated though.
Verity's letter at the end. In all honesty, I thought it was way longer than it should've been. I also believe that it was very manipulating toward Jermey, trying to blame him for everything that happened. Maybe Verity, at first, was trying to be creative with her writing, but I think she got caught up in her own mind and characters and did what she had to, to get Jeremy's attention. I think she is 100% psychotic. If Jeremy had actually attempted to kill her before the accident, why did she pretend the entire time? Even if he did, he was hurt. I get he shouldn't have tried killing her but put yourself in his shoes. Why didn't she go to the police if she was so scared of him with Crew? I understand loving someone even after they try to hurt you (for good reason) but pretending to be hurt, lying, manipulating, it was too much and it's disgusting. Plus, if she was exaggerating the entire manuscript, how do you explain the attempted abortion scar on Chastin's face? Her accusations don't add up at all. I get wanting to be creative with her writing and putting herself in her character's mind but that is extensive, wow. I hated her.
All in all, great book. I definitely recommend it. I saw that there was an exclusive chapter coming out soon and I will be reading it.
If you have any recommendations for books that are similar to Verity, please comment below!
As always, read well lovelies :)

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott
****THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS****
Description: "Stella Grant likes to be in control—even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions."
Number of Pages: 288
Release Date: November 20, 2018
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Rating: 10/10
Let me start off by saying that I have not watched the movie yet. This review is completely based off of the book.
The cover is beautiful. I never read the back of books so I fully believe a good book has a good cover. It's Abby's lung drawing... Ugh my heart.
The storyline was incredible. The MC, Stella, I just want to hug her. She has been through so much. She sucked in all of that trauma and made sure everyone around her was okay and happy. When she met Will, of course, it was love at first sight. Throughout the book, there was so much tension between the two. The butterflies were there. My heart throbbed for them two. I was screaming for them to hug, even though I know that they couldn't.
Will's birthday.. let's talk about it. Stella went out of her way to make sure he had an amazing birthday. She brought all of his favorite people together. They even followed all restrictions. It was over and then Poe.. ugh Poe. You broke my heart. I was not expecting Poe. I did not see it coming.. so I sobbed. It took Poe to make Stella realize what Will was feeling. She let it all in. THEN, she almost drowns because she left the hospital because she just wanted to be with Will. She got new lungs though and she did not contract B. Cepacia after Will gave her mouth to mouth.
Overall, I loved this book. I really want to watch the movie but I'm kind of scared that I am going to be disappointed but than again, Cole Sprouse does play Will..... we shall see.
As far as the disease though, Cystic Fibrosis, has anyone with CF read the book? Who did you relate to most? Did you like the book? Did you not? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Read well lovelies :)

Ugly Love by Colleen Hooover
-THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS-
Description: "When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her."
Number of Pages: 337
Release Date: August 5, 2014
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Rating: 7/10
Review: I have a love/hate relationship with this book. After getting through the official meeting of Tate and Miles (the main characters), it was like I knew what was going to happen next throughout the entire book. Like, of course, I'm going to fall in love with my brother's best friend and of course, he doesn't want a relationship, and by the end, of course, he's going to say he fell in love with me. It's pretty predictable. Now don't get me wrong, I truly still enjoyed reading this book, however, by the end it just got pretty boring.
MOST HATED PART: Nearly all of Mile's POV chapters were styled weird. Even though, apparently, he was 18 throughout his relationship with Rachel, it seemed like he was a preteen, looking through a playboy magazine. Seriously, each of his chapters were written like this:
" My heart forgets to wait and get to know a girl before it starts to claw its way out of my chest to get to her.
Rachel.
Rachel.
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel.
She's like poetry.
Like prose and love letters and lyrics
cascading down
the
center
of
a
page.
Rachel, Rachel, Rachel".
I mean every single chapter that is written about Miles' past is
written.
like.
this.
TW: I would say there are a few trigger warnings. Examples are drowning, car accidents, emotionally hurtful sex, brief marriage affairs, neonatal death, and just a little bit of incest.
SEX: You could say it was spicy. I mean there were a lot of sex-driven parts but was it nasty? No. They were very mature scenes, which I still enjoyed, but it's not very heavy.
I read this in a day. I was invested from the first page to the very last and I appreciate how easy it was to read with the complex emotions involved. It just wasn't epic. The ending felt very rushed and I didn't get the fulfilling ending I wanted.
All in all, don't just judge a book by it's reviews. Always read the book yourself because everyone has their own opinions.
Read well lovelies :)
