Summary: Gojo Satoru is loved by many, except for the sole person he himself loves
Tumblr media
It was sudden, the scorching feeling that filled his throat as the milky-haired man began to cough. His throat and lungs felt like they were on fire. It was almost as if thorns were poking and proding at his insides.
As soon as he thought that the violent coughing outburst was nearing its end he felt something traveling up his wind pipe and entering his mouth. Spitting the foreign object out Satoru was surprised to find a rose petal, covered with crimson blood laying on the floor of his apartment.
___
"Are you certain it's not the doing of some curse technique?" Shoko questioned, carefully examining the bloodied petal her friend had brought to her this morning. "Or a cursed spirit perhaps?" The woman continued, eyes focusing on the delicate object at hand.
"Yes. I'm certain of it." Gojo responded. His voice much too serious in comparison to the usual tone it took whenever the man talked. "My six eyes haven't detected any unknown trace of cursed energy on it."
"I see.." Ieiri commented, continuing to inspect the odd object. She'd received a call earlier that morning from Satoru, asking her if he'd be able to come over to discuss some urgent matter. And that's how she'd gotten ahold of that rose petal.
"So you coughed this up yesterday, correct?"
"Yeah."
"Can you tell me what happened again?" She asked, lifting her gaze from the flower petal in order to look at the man.
"I was laying in bed last night, when I felt this strong itching sensation in the back of my throat, followed by a burning sensation in my chest." Satoru began. "And that's when I started coughing like crazy. It was so bad that I couldn't even catch my breath. . . Then I felt something in my throat and this came out."
"Alright.." The woman sat down on her chair, letting out a frusterated sigh.
"What do you think?" The white-haired man asked, his cerulean eyes harboring a mix of concern and irritation deep within them. Despite being worried about his health and well-being, given the gravity of the situation, Gojo being Gojo, found this 'weakness' to be quite a pain in the ass.
After a moment of pondering silence, the young doctor looked up at her patient. "It's a stretch but.." The unsureness of her words sent an irritating feeling throughout Satoru's entire body. "My best guess is to say that you're suffering from a phenomenon called the Hanahaki disease."
"Hana-what-now?" Gojo questioned, his brows creasing as he tried to recall any information he might've had about a disease that caused the patient to cough up rose petals, but to no avail.
Seeing the puzzled look on his face, Ieiri sighed. "Hanahaki is a disease that causes flowers to bloom in the lungs of those suffering from it. Those flowers continue to grow until they eventually suffocate the victim due to the blockage of air they impose on the patient."
"And how do I get rid of it?" Satoru asked, his voice stoic and serious.
"That's the thing.." The woman began, crossing her leg over the other. "It's caused by strong, usually unrequited, feelings of love towards someone."
Unrequited love..?
"So who is it?"
Stunned speechless for a moment, Satoru looked back at his friend. Once he'd regained his composure the man spoke, his tone now shifting to his usual, more carefree one. "Myself, obviously."
With an unamused look on her face Shoko raised an intrigued brow. "I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as Auto-Hanahaki. But, if there was, you'd definitely be suffering from it."
Letting out a loud sigh, the woman leaned back in her chair. "Well, whoever it is, you'd better settle your feelings with them before it's too late." She spoke, sincere concern evident in her voice. "However, just in case, I'll look into this disease more. See if there are any alternative ways of curing it."
"Okay."
___
After Shoko's diagnosis, Satoru was feeling worse than ever. He'd done some of his own research on this wired disease, which was now plaguing his existance. And what he found only made him, feel that much worse.
Hanahaki Disease (花吐き病 ) - a fictional disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings (romantic love only; strong friendship is not enough), or when the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear...
Frowning at his phone, the young man read trough the Wikipedia article, frustration growing inside him at an alarming rate. "How the hell am I even suffering from a fictional disease.." He muttered under his breath, brows furrowing as he annoyedly shoved his phone into his jacket pocket.
Letting an irritated sigh escape his lips, the man looked off into the horizon. "One-sided love, huh..? To think that I of all people would suffer from a diseased manifestation of one-sided love.."
Despite not voicing his feelings aloud, Gojo was well aware of them. He knew what the problem was. He knew what was needed to be done - who he needed to talk to for all of this to be over..
But he couldn't.
He was Satoru Gojo after all. The strongest sorcerer of the modern era. And with the title of strongest came its struggles. He was the pillar of the Gojo-clan - hell, even the whole jujustu society. A responsibility he alone had to carry to his grave.
Maybe it would've been easier to connect with people on a much deeper level if he was 'normal', if he wasn't 'special'.
But that was just wishful thinking on his behalf.
Even entertaining the idea of settling down, or even having someone to call his own sounded more like some well written fanfiction than a possible future he could look forward to.
There was no way he could possibly have something like that, not as long as he was "The Strongest" at least.
Not as long as there were people, curses even, that would stop at nothing if it meant having a chance to end his life.
He couldn't do that. Couldn't let someone he cared for so deeply be in constant danger, simply because they chose to love him. Couldn't let her life be endangered like that.
Even it it meant keeping her at a distance. Loving her from afar.
Satoru was a smart man and he wasn't oblivious to his feelings for you. On the contrary, he was well aware of them from the start.
He was aware of how he'd light up every time he'd see you. Or how he'd feel his heart skip a beat whenever your hands brushed against one another.
He'd known he was in love from the moment he'd seen you courageously risking your life for the safety of your students. He loved that about you. Hell, he loved everything about you. From the way you'd smile so fondly at him, whenever you were excited about something, to the way you spoke when teaching the first years.
And that was exactly why he could never tell you how he felt.
He'd never be able to live with himself if you'd ever gotten hurt because of him. He loved you with all his heart - and those bloodied petals were proof of it - however he'd promised himself to always keep you from harms way.
Even if that also meant keeping you away from him too.
He'd protect you, no matter what-
"Ah, Gojo! There you are! - I've been looking everywhere for you!" Stopping dead in his tracks, Satoru glanced back, ocean blue orbs meeting with your (eye colored) ones. The sight of your gleamful demeanor as you approached him made his heart swell up with joy - something which happened almost naturally at this point whenever you were with him.
"Is that so?" He cracked a grin, looking down at you.
However, there was something else stirring up inside him as well. A feeling he'd never experienced in your presence up until now. The immense aching feeling that quickly formed inside Satoru's chest was overwelming.
So much so, that the man found himself struggling to take a proper breath - and before he knew it - he'd began coughing. Exactly like how he had done yesterday.
"Yeah. I was wondering if you could-" You paused, looking at the tall man with a look of concern on your face. "Are you feeling alright? That cough sounds pretty bad." Your words, although caring and coming from a good heart, only seemed to further ignite the burning sensation in his heart. Effectively worsening his coughing spree.
Worry quickly spiking, you rushed over to your co-worker, and close personal friend. "Gojo-!" You called out to him, your voice filled with panic. You didn't know what it was that was causing the male such violent coughing, but what you did know was that it couldn't mean anything good.
Your worry only seemed to get worse when you first saw it. There on the sidewalk, all bloodied up, lied a single rose petal. You looked at the small petal with utter shock and disbelief. You were sure you wouldn't have believed what was laying in front of you, wasn't a figment of your imagination if you hadn't just seen it with your own eyes.
"Gojo.." Your voice trailed as you carefully inspected the foreign object. "...You just coughed up a flower petal..." You continued, your tone full of a mix of worry and confusion.
"Yeah.." The man, finally able to breathe properly again, replied.
"And you're not as freaked out about this as much as I am..?" You inquired, giving the sorcerer a worried look.
"Not really.." He answered, voice far too calm in comparison to yours.
"Okay..? And care to tell me why you coughed up a literal flower just now..??"
Satoru looked back at you, giving you a casual shoulder raise. "Apparently I'm lovesick."
"What?"
___
"I think I understand what's happening to Satoru.." Shoko began, looking at the two of you. After the whole coughing-up-a-flower fiasco, you'd insisted on taking Gojo to go see Shoko again, even if the man had told you that he'd already visited her earlier that morning.
"Cursed energy is derived from negative emotions. Therefore it's not completely unreasonable to assume that the more negative emotions a person feels the more likely they are to produce an excessive amount of cursed energy." She continued, pointing a finger at Gojo. "Satoru's practically already a walking pool of cursed energy so due to his technique, so imagine adding another load onto his already expensive amount."
The two of you listened to the woman speak intently, not wanting to miss a single thing. "Given the nature of the disease, it appears to be manifested whenever strong feelings are accumulated over a long period of time. And given that Gojo's emotionally constipated when it comes to expressing his feelings, the most probable case is that he's been bottling up his emotions for far too long. Causing them to physically manifest into these petals."
"Ouch, didn't have to bruise my ego like that Shoko." The man said, dramatically clutching his chest with faux hurt.
Letting out an amused scoff the woman continued her explanation. "They say that love is the strongest curse after all. And in your case, Satoru. It seems that you've cursed yourself, in a way."
With a worried frown on your face, you glanced over at Gojo, trying your best to study his every move. Despite him having given you a similar explanation as Shoko's, you still couldn't quite bring yourself to actually believe it was true. You'd known Gojo for quite some time now, having worked alongside him since the start of your teaching career here at Tokyo Jujutsu Highschool. And from what you'd witnessed, Satoru was extremely popular with the ladies, so the thought of a woman not returning his feelings sounded like a piece of fiction to you.
"Given the nature of the disease it's only going to get worse from here on out, if not intervened." The woman added after a long pause. "So I'd strongly recommend telling whoever it is you're in love with how you feel. - Even on the off chance that the feelings aren't mutual, it's might help release some of that cursed energy in a form that isn't hemoptysis."
Hearing Ieiri's words made your heart ache.
It was for a selfish reason really..
You felt jealous.. of the person who'd captured Satoru's heart..
Sure, it hurt you seeing the otherwise cheerful man in such a state.. But what hurt you even more was the fact that it was all because of someone who he thought didn't love him back..
You would be lying to yourself if you said that during the five years you had worked alongside the strongest sorcerer of your time, you hadn't developed some feelings for the charismatic man.
Your heart couldn't help but race whenever he was near you, just like you couldn't help the rosy blush that would tint your cheeks red every time he brought you a souvenir from one of his missions, claiming that he'd put much effort and care into finding the "perfect gift for his perfect co-worker".
Now hearing that he was suffering just because he loved someone who didn't reciprocate his feelings made your heart ache.
You had entertained the idea of confessing your feelings towards the blue-eyed man for quite some time now, hoping that there was a chance he might reciprocate them.
But now? All that hope dwindled like a wilting flower.
"I agree with Shoko.." You spoke, gaze glued to somewhere in the distance. "You should voice your feelings.. It'll help you feel better.."
___
It had been approximately five months ever since Satoru had somehow contracted the strange disease. Five months of coughing up petal, after petal covered with his own blood.
What once used to be him coughing up a single petal, two at most on a daily basis, had now escalated to him vomiting five to six petals at a time, at least three times during the day.
Once he'd even spat out a whole flower.
It would've been a far more beautiful sight, had the rose bloom not been covered with his blood, and had his lungs not burned from the act of coughing up the delicate flower.
For five months Satoru had been living his life with the constant ache in his chest. An ache that would not go away no matter what he tried doing.
The idea to use reverse cursed energy on himself had sprung up in his head during the second month. Right around the time when his constant ache was beginning to consume his every waking hour. Rendering the man unable to focus on anything else apart from it.
The first time he'd used cursed energy to heal his wounds, Satoru felt so proud of himself for coming up with such a brilliant idea, that he felt like giving himself a pat on the back as to congratulate himself for such brilliance.
Unfortunately though, his joy was rather shortlived, seeing as it turned out that using cursed energy was not only a temporary solution, but it also brought more problems than it solved. Using RCT on himself only seemed to worsen the effects of that wretched disease. Almost as if it was fanning its flames.
After that, he'd not tried healing himself using reverse cursed technique once more, unless the situation was quite dire.
For five whole months had he watched his body slowly, but surely scum to the disease. He felt like a shell of his former self. Satoru couldn't remember the last time he'd been able to take a proper breath without choking on a blasted flower.
And it only seemed to be getting worse from here out. Exactly like how Shoko had predicted.
He hadn't told you about his feelings, opting to suffer their burden alone, instead of jeopardizing your safety. An act that would eventually end up killing him in the long run.
Tonight was just like any other night. Satoru had returned home after a long day of work, immediately rushing to his bathroom to cough up the petals that were scratching his throat. It felt almost routine at this point. Get home, stain his sink with blood and roses, clean up and then go on about his day.
It was slowly killing him.
Satoru looked at himself in the mirror, eyes sunken and lips covered in blood. He looked more like a vampire than anything else right now. Lifting his hand from the sink, the man picked up one of the coughed up rose blossoms. His movements were soft and gentle, eyes softening slightly as he stared at the delicate flower.
With a pained chuckle he spoke. "I find it hard to believe that such a delicate thing as yourself could manage to wound the greatest sorcerer to ever live." His voice was hoarse from the constant strain his respiratory tracks had to endure.
Satoru didn't know whether he was referring to the flower or you in that moment, and to be completely honest, he didn't really care. This was just a reminder of all the struggles he had to endure in order to keep his title as "The Strongest Sorcerer of The Modern Era".
RING RING
The sound of his phone ringing caught his attention, snapping the young man out of any potential philosophical endeavors for the time being. Resting the rose on his bathroom sink, Satoru exited the bathroom, slowly making his way to the living room where he'd left his phone.
Picking the small object up and looking at the screen, his eyes lit up upon seeing your name pop up. Swiping his finger across the screen, he answered the phone.
"Hey." He said, trying to conceal the obvious hoarseness of his voice. "Need anything?"
"Hi, no uh-" Your voice came from the other line. Despite having seen you earlier today, Satoru found himself missing you even more now that he'd heard your voice. "I just finished doing some baking, but I accidentally ended up making a bit too many sweets. - And since I know you've got quite the sweet tooth I was wondering if you'd mind if I bring you some. Since, I don't want to waste some perfectly good Dorayaki."
Satoru couldn't help but smile at your considerate offer. God, he loved that side of you. So sweet and considerate. He just couldn't get enough. "Sure. I'm in my apartment right now, so you can stop by any time you'd like."
"Really? Great then!" You chimed. He could almost picture the bright smile you had on your face judging by your tone of voice. "I'll be there in twenty- Gotta clean up this mess first." You chuckled and Satoru swore he'd never heard a sound more melodic than this one.
"See you in twenty then." He replied.
"See ya."
___
Approximately twenty minutes after hanging up the call, Satoru heard the doorbell ringing.
That must be her.
Satoru thought. He'd already taken the liberty of cleaning up his little 'mess' in the bathroom. Taking the flower petals and throwing them away in the trash.
He didn't want you to see them. Didn't want to see that worried look upon your face. It would only make his heart ache more if he did.
With long strides, the young man effortlessly made his way to the entrance. Taking a stand at the door, he glanced at himself in the mirror, taking in his paler features with slight annoyance.
Hopefully she won't notice..
Oh but you had noticed. You'd noticed it a long time ago. Noticed his sunken features, the carefully concealed pain in his eyes. It was hard to look at the man you loved slowly suffering like that. All while you're frustratingly unable to do anything to help. All because of some woman..
You were standing there, patiently waiting for Gojo to open the door and let you in. Once you heard some shuffling on the other side you knew it was him and your body stiffened up.
As the door opened you were met with the sight of the milky-haired man, staring back at you with his big blue eyes.
"Hey." He greeted.
"Hi." You replied, suddenly feeling nervous. It wasn't like it was your first time coming over to his place so what was wrong? You'd visited Gojo plenty of times before, and not once had you felt as anxious as you did now. Strange. . .
"Don't just stand there, come in." Satoru said, offering you his signature boyish grin as he stepped aside allowing you to enter inside his luxurious apartment.
With a soft smile on your lips, you stepped inside, immediately opting to take off your shoes before going any further. Holding the bento box filled with Dorayaki in your hands, you followed the man to his living room.
"Make yourself at home." Gojo spoke, taking a step towards you and stretching out his hands in order to take the bento box from your hold.
With a quick nod, you handed him the container, and upon doing so you took a seat on his lavish sofa. Looking around, you took notice of all the little details about his apartment. It came as no surprise to you to find out that Satoru was a well organized man, even outside of work.
His apartment was absolutely spotless every time you'd visited him. You wondered how he'd get all the free time needed to keep everything so neat and tidy, but then again, he was the head of the Gojo-clan after all. And being the head of the top clan in all of Jujutsu Society came with its perks you supposed.
Resting your hands on your thighs, you took in a deep breath, secretly relishing in the room's scent. It smelled like sandalwood mixed in with a hint of that expensive cologne that Gojo would often use.
Or in other words, it smelled exactly like him.
Perfect.
Straightening up at the sound of his approaching footsteps, you instinctively glanced over to the door. Satoru, holding a porcelain plate filled with as many Dorayaki as he could fit, walked over to the table, before setting the plate down on it.
After giving you another grateful compliment for your outstanding work he finally took a seat, right across from you.
Conversation easily flowed after. Satoru was a man who found it easy to hold a conversation with almost anyone. Another attribute many envied him for. He was just so charismatic. And with the way he carried himself you couldn't help but be engaged in whatever he was telling you. Even if it was sometimes the most boring thing you could think of, he made it sound like such a fun topic.
Smiling softly at the man, you studied his features. Has he lost some weight? You thought, taking notice of his more prominent cheekbones. Shifting your gaze, your eyes met with his. Despite still having that same vibrant blue color in them, you couldn't help but notice the dullness behind them. It was like all the life was slowly being drained away from them.
By this point, Satoru had already stopped talking. Sensing your gaze on him his eyes locked with yours. Part of him knew what you were probably thinking. It made him want to look away. Not to let you see what had become of him because of his feelings for you.
And then he felt it.
Just like clockwork, his airways constructed, causing the man to curl down as he began coughing.
As soon as he'd begun coughing, you were up and rushing to his side. "Gojo!" You cried out his name, worry and panic filling your voice as you wracked your brain for anything that you could do to help him.
But nothing came to mind.
And so, you were left just standing there, arms hovering over the man you held so dear in your heart. The feeling of being unable to help the one you loved made you feel sick to the stomach.
A horrible experience, really.
Once the coughing had stopped, you looked at Satoru's bloodied lips, and then at the rose petals scattered across the floor. Staining the carpet red with his blood.
"How are you?" You asked, looking at the man with a worried expression.
"M' fine." He said in a raspy tone, followed by another deep cough. "Don't worry about me."
You frowned at his words. How could you possibly do anything else aside from worry about him when he was in such a state!
"You don't seem so well Gojo.." You spoke up, looking back at the snow-haired man with a gentle look in your eyes. A look that made his heart ache.
"Your condition only seems to have gotten worse as far as I can tell.." Pursing your lips, you paused for a moment before letting out a quiet sigh. "I'm just.. Really worried about you.."
Satoru could physically feel his heart breaking as you spoke those words to him. The last thing he'd wanted to hear was that he was the cause of your worry. The whole reason he hadn't told you that he was in love with you was solely for the reason as to not make you feel unhappy.. And yet..
He failed.
"Have you.." You continued, suddenly averting your gaze from his. "Have you told her your feelings yet?.."
A deep silence willed the room after you'd voiced your question. Neither of you spoke for what felt like hours, until Satoru finally broke the silence by answering your question.
"No.. I haven't."
"Why?"
The question left your lips before you could even stop yourself.
Satoru simply looked at you, before answering.
"I can't."
"You can't..?"
What does he mean by that? You thought, unable to find a reasonable explanation for why he simply couldn't confess his feelings to the woman he desired.
"I don't understand.. What's stopping you from telling her how you feel?"
You pressed the matter. If Gojo didn't do anything about his condition he wouldn't make it. And you for one were not planning on losing him any time soon.
Satoru looked back at you, and for a moment, he didn't really know what to tell you. He had no proper answer to give you that wouldn't inevitably reveal what he was trying to hide from you all this time.
"It's.. complicated."
"What is?" Furrowing your brows you looked back at him. "Gojo.. You do realize that not telling her how you feel is slowly killing you. There's no harm in admitting your feelings to her, you know.."
Despite the hurt that saying those words to him caused you, you had to put up with it. If it meant Satoru got to live, you'd happily grin and bear it.
"(Last Name), you don't understand.. I can't just tell her I love her, all right?" Satoru spoke, his voice a little shaken up. "It's not as simple as you think."
He paused, looking off into the distance before continuing once more. "Telling her I love her is only going to make her a target for everyone that's out to get me. I can't risk putting her in danger like that. I won't."
"And even if I do tell her. - There's no guarantee that she feels the same.."
"So what? You're going to accept death?" You spoke, voice cracking at the end. Glossy tears filled your eyes as your lip quivered. "And then what? What about all the people that need you in their life?"
"There are people that care so much about you Gojo!" You exclaimed, tears threatening to spill from your eyes. "I care about you!"
By this point, you were extremely shaken up. You couldn't believe that he was willing to accept his fate like that! Didn't he know how much he meant to you?
"I love you!"
The words left your mouth before you could even register what was happening. And once you did it was too late.
You could feel the wave of instant regret crashing against your body with such immense force. And Satoru's science wasn't doing you any good either.
I messed up. I messed up real bad.!
The thought went over and over in your head as you stared back at Satoru. He was speechless. That was to be expected after all! Here he was slowly dying and you'd just confessed your love to him!
"G-Gojo I-" You began, unable to find the right words to say to him. "I am so sorry! I-I don't know what came over me, I just-"
"(Last Name)."
"I know that now is hardly the right time to be telling you this but it just slipped!-"
"(Last Name)."
"I mean you've already got so much on your plate and here I am telling you that I-?!"
Your words were cut off by Satoru's lips crashing against yours. A tingling sensation spread across your whole body and your stomach did flips.
Whatever feelings you were experiencing in that moment, Satoru was experiencing tenfold the amount. Hearing that you loved him back was like hearing the loveliest melody known to man. Those simple yet powerful words made his heart race.
You loved him..
You actually loved him.
After a few moments of sharing a kiss with the Gojo Satoru, the man finally pulled away. He looked at you straight in the eye, with his lips slightly parted.
Meanwhile you were just left standing there, completely and utterly speechless.
It took you some time to fully gather your thoughts, but once you did you asked, or more like stated in pure disbelief.
"You.. kissed me?"
"Yeah.." He began, his eyes softening as he focused their gaze on your petite figure." "I did, didn't I..?"
Checks flushed bright red, you looked back at the slender man. "D-Does that mean?-"
Satoru Gojo, had made a promise to himself. A promise that no matter the cost he would be there to protect you. He'd always be there to keep you safe. No matter what.
He knew that what he was about to say would go against his plan. Confessing his feelings would mean putting you in grave danger.
But he'd decided on something else after hearing those three faithful words from your lips.
He'd keep you safe by his side, even if it meant putting his life on the line. That was a risk he was willing to take if it meant getting to kiss your soft lips once more. Or hearing you say you love him too.
He'd do it within the blink of an eye for you.
That he vowed.
"I love you (Name)."
The words were so liberating. The thorns and roses that had been growing inside his lungs vanished into thin air. And finally, after months of pain and anguish, Satoru was finally able to take a breath without the constant reminder that he would forever be alone.
He loved you.
And you loved him back.
What more could a man hope for?

Gojo Satoru graduation party headcanon :>
Content: Just pure tooth-rotting fluff, Female Reader (AFAB)
Word Count: 606
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Satoru!! We're going to be late!" You called out to your date.
"Just give me five more minutes to finish up and I'll be right down!" You heard Gojo's voice coming from his dorm room.
"You said that fifteen minutes ago man!" You reprimanded. "My feet are killing me!"
The schoolyear had finally ended and you were over the moon with excitement. You had finally graduated from Jujutsu High and were now a full-fledged Jujutsu Sorcerer!
As the last day you'd be spending in the school, all your classmates, correction, every student currently attending the school had gotten together to organize a graduation party for your class.
You could hear the upbeat music coming from outside. I bet everyone's having a blast out there.. You thought. You, too were supposed to be out there, having the time of your life with all your friends, but instead you were stuck waiting for your best friend and current date - Gojo Satoru.
"That's it- If you don't come out this instant I'm going without you Satoru!"
No response.
"Alright then, I warned you." You said, turning around and taking a step forward, only to be stopped by the unmistakable sound of Gojo's room door opening.
"About time! If you'd made me wait even one more second I would've-" You paused, jaw almost dropping at the sight before you.
Is that..? N-No way.. It can't possibly be-
Standing right there in front of you was your best friend, yet you couldn't seem to believe it.
Since when did Satoru become this hot?!
"Y-You uh.. Look good. I mean- The suit looks good! On you, that is!. What is going on with me today..?!" Letting out an awkward laugh you clear your throat before suggesting. "Shall we go now? I'm sure the others are waiting for us."
"Yeah." Satoru gave you a soft smile, making your poor heart almost leap out of your chest. "Let's go."
He took his arm out, gesturing for you to take it, and once you did, the two of you began walking down the hall in silence. You didn't dare to say a word, especially not after what just happened a few minutes ago.
What had even gotten into you back there? Why did you begin stuttering like a nervous wreck in front of Satoru? It wasn't like you to get nervous like that, especially not when it came to Gojo, your best friend of nearly four years!
You glanced at him, heart skipping a beat while doing so.
I always knew he had a good looking face.. But I never realized how handsome he actually was..
It didn't take long for Satoru to take notice of your staring and look back at you. His crystal-blue eyes locked with your own. Looking into them felt like gazing deep into a vast ocean.
His previously soft smile quickly morphed into his signature shit-eating grin as he then stated. "(Name), you're staring."
Feeling the heat rushing to your checks, you immediately looked away, hastily uttering out an apology to the boy.
"Sorry about that.."
"S'fine." Satoru replied. "If I were you I'd also get lost looking into my eyes. Since they are breathtaking."
His comment made you chuckle, instantly lightening the mood.
"Yeah, they really are beautiful."
This time, it was Satoru who went quiet and you instantly looked at him, afraid to have done something wrong, only to be met with Gojo's flushed checks.
Were you seeing things or was the Gojo Satoru blushing right now? It sure was!
It took the boy a moment to compose himself before turning to you and saying.
"You look beautiful tonight."
A/N: I was scrolling trough Tumblr when I saw these pictures of Gojo and knew I had to write something about them. And so- Here we are :'D
Hope you all enjoyed reading! <3

You're breathtaking love
Just Teen! Gojo flirting with Female! Reader :)
Content: Fluff, Gojo being a shameless flirt, Female Reader (AFAB), Nervous Reader, Flirtatious Gojo
Word Count: 533
Tumblr media
"Your eyes are really beautiful."
Satoru says with a far too casual tone.
"Huh?" You look up at your classmate, your (eye colored) eyes meeting with his gorgeous blue orbs. After a moment of silence you finally speak up, your tone soft and gentle. "Thanks for the compliment, however they fail in comparison to yours."
A satisfied smile quickly makes its way onto Satoru's face as the young sorcerer leans in closer, his tinted glasses sliding down his nose in the process. "Mmm.. Don't think so."
The close proximity between the two of you is enough for a rosy blush to creep up your neck and tint your cheeks with its pastel color. Your breaths hitches in your throat as you stare back into your classmate's mesmerizing crystal eyes.
They seemed so captivating, you were sure if you looked close enough you'd be able to view your own reflection in them.
"Y-You don't say..?-" You manage to stammer out, mentally face-palming yourself for the embarrassing tone your voce came out in.
You wish for the ground to immediately open up and swallow you the moment you hear Gojo's attractive chuckle.
"My, my..~ Is someone nervous?" He says with a cocky smile adoring his stupidly hot face.
"Whaat? Noo.. I'm not nervous at all.. Ahahah.." You quickly deny looking away.
"You're so cute when you're nervous (Name)." The words leave his mouth with such ease, it sounded as if he'd been practicing that exact line in the mirror.
"I, uhm-" You feel the once barely noticeable blush dancing across your features quickly intensify.
"Got any plans for this weekend?" He asks, his eyes not once leaving your figure.
"I don't think so..? Why are you a-"
"Great then! That means you can come to the cinema with me. I hear there's a new movie premiering this weekend." Your words get cut short by Satoru's 'offer'.
You blink twice, utterly stunned by what had just happened. You hadn't even agreed to come yet by the way he phrased his sentence, it sounded like you had already agreed to come.
But then again.. You weren't exactly opposed to the idea of going to the movies with Satoru.
"Sure."
"Perfect. It's a date then!" He says with a cheeky smile before waving you goodbye. "I'll text you the deets later (Name)!"
"W-wait- You didn't say this was going to be a date!"
Halfway out of the classroom Gojo turned back to look at you once more. "See you around (Name)." He gave you a flirtatious wink, accompanied by a cocky smirk before turning back once more and exiting the room. "Try not to miss me too much~"
You simply stare back at the white haired classmate of yours you have unknowingly agreed to go on a date with.
"What the hell just happened.." You say to yourself, eyes still locked onto the classroom door.
After a few moments of blankly gazing at the door you look away, a small smile threatening to make its way on your lips.
"I'll see you too.."
You pause for a brief moment, turning your head to look back at the door. Smile now freely dancing across your soft features.
"Satoru Gojo.."

For those who don't know “The moon is beautiful, isn't it?” is more poetic way of saying I love you in the Japanese language. The appropriate (and most popular) response is "I can die happy now."

Your Name
Katsuki Bakugou x Female Reader (part 5)
(Part 4)
Tumblr media
"Keep quiet." Bakugou spoke in a hushed tone. The boy's body was pressed against (Y/n)'s own. He used one hand to prop himself against the wall and the other was pressed against the girl's lips.
"Can't let those bastards hear us."
Alright, I know what you're probably thinking..
(Y/n)!
What the hell happened! Why the heck is Bakugou freakin' Katsuki - your potential mortal enemy - keeping you caged in like that?!
Listen, I know this looks bad but I promise, it's not what it looks like!
I swear-
If you just hear me out I'll explain everything!
.
.
.
Gonna listen?
Awesome!
It all started right after the fight with Kaminari and Kirishima. . .
***
After the hiccup with their first opponents, (L/n) decided not to allow such a slip up happen again. She was going to give it her all and win this thing! Nothing else would do!
Looking at her irritated teammate, she let out an inaudible sigh. If Bakugou was actually her mortal enemy than he sure as hell seemed like a tough one.
He had easily been able to stand his ground and avoid the incoming attacks of not one, but two students!
Whereas she couldn't even manage to block one simple attack..
How was she even supposed to go against someone like him? He seemed like an unstoppable force not to be reckoned with!
"For all we know there's a good chance that boy's your soulmate?"
The words of her mother echoed in the back of her head.
Her eyes scanned the walking boy, lingering a little longer on his toned figure while the girl assessed his chiseled features. I mean sure he's attractive and all but..
"The fuck you staring at Yowamushi."
He's got the personality of a toad.
With a frown on her face, (Y/n) closed her eyes before giving a vexed response. "First of all. You can't tell me what I can and can't look at. ~ And secondly. Will you quit calling me that?"
She asked, before quickly continuing. Not allowing the young man to respond. Not that he was going to. "I don't know about you, but I for one don't thinks of myself as a coward. ~ I mean- What even made you come to that conclusion in the first place!"
Katsuki's eyes narrowed, twisting his flawless features into an irritated scowl. The boy was glaring daggers at his teammate who was still talking about how she 'Doesn't like that nickname'. God, this girl was annoying!
And who did she even think she was? Talking to him like that! Didn't that idiot know any better than to mess with someone like him? He's going to be the greatest hero once he graduates! She should at least show some respect! Not just anyone gets to meet the future number one, let alone be their mortal enemy!
Speaking of which..
She sure didn't seem like a worthy opponent right about now. The blonde's eyes lazily scanned the girl's features. Doesn't look weak, but it only took one attack to bring her down.
"I don't go around giving out random-ass names to everyone I meet." He began, quickly managing to capture (Y/n)'s attention. "S'a much easier way to remember someone by their qualities." He stopped in his tracks, causing the girl to come to a halt as well. "And as for your question- I'll quit callin' you that when I feel like it."
(Y/n)'s face-palmed at his blunt statement. She opened her mouth to speak back to him, but decided against it. This would only leave her more annoyed with him than she already was. "Whatever.." The girl sighed before resuming her pace.
"Let's just get this over with.."
***
"Team Hagakure and Ashido, eliminated!" Present Mic's loud voice sounded trough the speakers.
"You two okay?" (Y/n) asked as she looked at the two captured girls and searched for their rope.
"My ears are still ringing from the explosion." Toru whined, the two girls had tried to do a sneak attack on Bakugou and (L/n) but it ended up backfiring horribly when Toru stepped on something sharp on the ground and her squeal alerted the raging blonde who in tern shot an explosion straight at her.
With her teammate immobilized, Mina stood no chance against the duo and the two girls were quickly captured and eliminated.
(Y/n) gave her invisible classmate an apologetic smile as she took the handcuffs in her hand. "Sorry about that.."
"Don't sweat it girl! It's all good!" Mina chimed in, despite her bruised up state she still maintained a cheerful smile which made (Y/n) sigh in relief.
Standing up, the (h/c) haired girl bid her goodbye's to her classmates and walked over to her teammate.
"I got their handcuffs. We can go no-" (Y/n)'s eyes widened as her sentence was cut short by Bakugou's hand pressing against her lips.
What the hell's going on?!
"Keep quiet." Katsuki's low tone filled her ears, the boy had one hand pinning her against the wall while he used the other to cover her mouth shut.
The poor girl could feel her heart going a hundred miles per hour. It almost felt like it was going to jump out of her chest at any given moment.
"Can't let those bastards hear us."
What? Who? Was someone there? (Y/n) opened her eyes in hopes of clearing the situation up, however as she did, she came face to face with the blonde's sharp jawline. Sweet mother of cheese- A rosy blush slowly crept up her neck and slowly tinted her face with its pastel color.
Her eyes locked onto the boy's figure as she assessed his features. Now that she took a closer look at him, she could see that Katsuki wasn't even looking in her direction. His eyes were locked onto something behind the wall.
"Deku.." She heard him utter under his breath with a villainous tone in his voice. His eyes turned back to the girl he held captive in his grip. "Follow my lead extra."
Without saying another word, nor giving the girl any more explanation as to what he was planning on doing the ashen blonde boy rushed to attack his opponents.
"Hey, wait up!-" (Y/n) called out but to no avail as she watched the boy take charge and attack the two students. Not wasting any more time than she already might have done (L/n) rushed in to help her teammate in taking down their opponents.
"DIE YOU EXTRAS!!!"
"K-Kacchan!?" Izuku yelped at the sight of his raging classmate coming at him at full speed. Thankfully though the, boy managed to barely avoid the oncoming attack by jumping out of the way.
"Dark Shadow!" The voice of Midorya's teammate, Tokoyami echoed trough the air as the boy activated his quirk, releasing the large shadow-like creature from his body. In a split second the dark entity, named Dark Shadow quickly went in for a counterattack on the raging boy, giving Deku enough time get to a safer distance and begin hatching a plan.
Just as young Midorya was about to beginning planning he suddenly remembered a crucial detail. "Where's (L/n)?-" The boy's sentence was cut short by the air getting knocked out of his lungs by a strong force.
"Right here." (Y/n) spoke as she approached the boy. Loud explosions and crashing noises could be heard coming from around them. From the sound of it, it appeared that Fumikage and Katsuki were going all out, leaving the two of them to fight one another.
The greenette seemed to have a slightly uneasy look on on his face, matched by the one on (L/n)'s own.
This was the first time the two had been put up one against the other. However neither knew what to expect from the other.
Well.. Not exactly..
During the precious training session, young (L/n) watched her classmate defeat his opponents without much use of his quirk.
Her eyes narrowed at him as she used her quirk to attack, forcing the young man to move.
Can't let him get any time to think of a plan. I've gotta attack and take him down before he has any time to hatch another one of his plans! I can't let him beat me!
I won't!
From what she had seen him do, (Y/n) had concluded that Midorya was proficient at planning ahead. After all the boy was always writing in those journals of his.. Wonder what they were all about.. Perhaps they helped him keep all of his potential plans in check. So that if the need arises he'd know where to turn to.
However thought, while his planning skills might be the boy's strong suit, it appeared that he had little control of his quirk. Or so it seemed. She found it rather strange honestly. The way his body reacted to the usage of his quirk. It was almost as if his body wasn't meant to handle it..
And that was exactly what she was hoping to use to her advantage right now. If she got him to use his quirk, then that would deal significant damage to his body. And once he was all bruised up she could simply tie him up and get to helping her angry teammate.
There was just one problem though.. His quirk was stupidly powerful, which in turn made young Midorya a formidable opponent. Meaning if she wasn't carefully she could risk loosing to him and getting herself captured instead.
It's risky but I don't really have another option do I? I've just gotta be as quick and proficient as possible. I'll show that stupid hothead who's a coward!
Izuku did his best to avoid the oncoming attacks of his opponent. The boy locked her eyes onto the girl for a moment as he finally took in her features. This was his first time having to go up against her, however that didn't mean that the emerald eyed boy didn't know what to expect from his opponent. Just like (L/n), he had observed her during the previous training exercise and taken a few notes on the girl's quirk.
I've gotta be smart about this.. The boy thought as he began ran around the corner of a nearby building in a desperate attempt to shake his opponent off his tail. Breathing heavily, the boy propped himself against the wall trying his best to catch his breath for the time being.
"Smash!"
His attempts unfortunately proved to be futile as he almost got stabbed by a (Y/n)'s water spear. To avoid the collision the boy had activated his quirk and deflected the attack at the cost of his middle finger.
Not giving him any time to dodge (L/n) began attacking relentlessly, slowly but surely backing her opponent to a corner. "Give up Midorya!" She called out as she continued attacking while dodging his counterattacks to the best of her abilities.
Looking from left to right the boy then glanced back at the his opponent. She didn't seem to be bruised much, apart from the dust and dirt on her face she was mostly unscaved from this fight. If you could even call it that. C'mon Izuku..! You can't surrender! That's not what a hero would do!
But if I keep this up I'll risk using up all my fingers and then what?
Come on Deku.. Think!-
BOOM!
"Bakugou?!" (Y/n)'s voice came out in a confused yelp. Where did he come from? Wasn't he busy fighting Tokoyami? Had he beat him already?
"Tch. You still, haven't captured that useless nerd.." The boy said in a menacing tone as he glared at his target. "You really can't do anything on your own, can you?" A frightening smirk tugged his lips, curling them into a nasty grin. Explosions ignited in his palms as his crimson eyes were focused on his target.
"You might've won last time.. But don't think I'll let it happen ever again, gout it?!" He yelled out as his palm began glowing with immense brightness. "Now die!!" With that Katsuki charged full speed at his opponent, Midorya, too didn't stand still either as he powered up his quirk and gave it all he had.
I have to make sure they're knocked out otherwise I'm screwed!
A large pile of smoke and debris shot up into the air, making it virtually impossible to see.
As the smoke slowly cleared down and a clear view of the aftermath was available. One could see what had happened. Both Midorya and Bakugou were knocked out from their collision. The two boys had a large tentacle made out of water wrapped around their limb bodies as (L/n) carried them outside.
The girl had caught the two and pulled them to safety right as the building they were in was beginning to collapse from the shock wave of their attacks.
Once outside the girl was met with the sight of a handcuffed Fumikage. Her eyes widened as she realised what her teammate had done all on his own. Laying both boys on the ground, she handcuffed the unconscious Izuku to his teammate and asked. "Did Bakugou really capture you that fast?" Her eyes met with the boy's own.
He let out a defeated sigh before shamefully nodding, thereby confirming the girl's suspicions. "I'm affraid so." He began. "I don't know how but he was able to figure out my weakness in a matter of minutes." He spoke, his eyes trailing off to the one who'd beaten him so effortlessly. "He really is something else."
"Team Midorya and Tokoyami - ELIMINATED!" Mic's voice sounded trough the speakers. "Team (L/n) and Bakugou are the last team standing! The training exercise is officially over!"

Your Name
Bakugou Katsuki x Female Reader (part 4)
(part 3)
Tumblr media
Today was an odd day..
Come to think if it.. This whole week has been odd in a way.
***
"Oi, extra." Bakugou's rough tone sounded, followed by the distinguishable sound of a hand slamming onto the wooden table below.
The blonde was towering over his supposed mortal enemy. His dark ruby eyes locked onto the girl in question, similar to how a predator looks at its pray, right before they're about to devour it right on the spot.
"Fight me."
"What?-"
"I said, fight me." The boy demanded, his tone stern and certainly not friendly.
Ever since the scare with Aizawa, and after (Y/n) got to show everyone her quirk, Bakugou had been pestering the poor girl non-stop about sparring with him. Not a single day had passed without him 'asking' her for a sparring session during training.
(L/n) sighed and looked up at him. (E/c) eyes meeting with the boy's vermillion own. "How many times do I have to tell you? - I'm not fighting you!"
Bakugou's constant demanding questioning was starting to seriously annoy the (h/c) haired girl. This was the forth time he'd asked her and the forth time she's told him no.
Was he dense or something? Or was it that he just couldn't take "no" for an answer? ~ The latter sounded much more like the hothead she had gotten to know throughout this past week.
What's the deal with this guy? Can't he just leave me alone already? I'm seriously beginning to consider the possibility that both of us are mortal enemies-
"Settle down class." Aizawa's tiered voice echoed trough the room. For someone with as unkept of an appearance as him, the man sure didn't act like it. He was probably the most strict teacher (Y/n) had ever seen! And that was saying something!
"We've got another training exercise for today."
This simple and short statement was enough to capture every student's attention immediately.
Another training exercise? Wasn't the one we did yesterday enough for the week? We've only just started with classes a week ago and were already doing combat training?
Then again.. This is Japan's best hero-school. So I guess this is to be expected from the country's number one.
The training exercise the class had done yesterday was the second time the students got to show off their quirks.
That includes a certain 'barbaric' blonde.
During the fight with Deku, whose actual name turned out to be Midorya Izuku, Katsuki didn't hold back. Not even a little!
He looked particularly scary during the fight, as well. Especially when he was about to pull the trigger on his comically large gauntlet. (L/n) seriously thought that he was actually going to murder his emerald eyed opponent.
His attitude sure didn't seem like one belonging to a future hero, if you'd ask her.
It was a much better fit for the typical category of someone far more sinister..
Someone villainous.
"Just like yesterday, you will all be split up in pairs - which have already been decided. Your objective will be to capture the other teams and handcuff both players of the opposing team."
"The last team standing is the winner. ~ Any questions?"
After receiving no questions from his students, Aizawa got to work, disclosing the teammates.
"First team consists of Kaminari and Kirishima. Then we have Asui and Uraraka, Midorya and Tokoyami..."
As Aizawa continued listing out names, and informing everyone about the designated teams, young (L/n) found herself impatiently waiting for her name to be announced.
And boy did she wait. As time passed, the options got fewer and fewer untill there were only four people left. Including her, of course.
Please let it be Todoroki. Please let it be Todoroki. Please-
"Todoroki and Mineta."
Oh come on!
"Which leaves us with the last team."
"(L/n) and Bakugou."
In that moment, (Y/n) wished nothing else, but for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. Out of all the people she could've been paired up with, why had it been him?
As the girl dared to sneak a glance at the scowling blonde a thought crossed her mind.
At least it's not Mineta..
Who knows how horrible it would've been to be paired up with the embodiment of lust, also known as Minorou Mineta. Even the mere thought of being forced to cooperate with that pervert was enough to send a shiver down her spine.
And who knows? Maybe Bakugou won't be such a pain to work with?
"You've all go five minutes to strategize before the exercise starts. Once you hear the bell ring you are all to return here for further instructions. Have I made myself clear?"
***
With a bit of hesitation on her behalf, (Y/n) cautiously walked over to the ticking time-bomb with whom she'd been paired up with. For one reason or another, the girl always seemed to find herself feeling uneasy whenever she had any sort of interaction with the explosive boy.
Focus (Y/n).. You can't let your feelings distract you. This is training, and right now, he is my partner.
And nothing else.
Taking a stand beside the him, she asked. "So how are we going to go about this?" Her question was followed by a raise of her brow. "Got any sort of plan?"
With a click of his tongue, Bakugou finally looked back at her with an unamused look on his face. "Go in there and blast every extra that comes in my way."
The boy's cocky response was followed by a mental facepalm from his partner. "Look, I get that you think you're all that, but you can't seriously expect me believe that you'd be able to singlehandedly immobilize and capture the members on every other team!"
Quirking a brow, the blonde stared back at her. If you'd look really closely you might catch something resembling a hint of amusement in those ruby gems of his.
"Oh yeah? Watch me."
Without another word, young Bakugou simply walked off, leaving (L/n) standing all alone, completely speechless.
***
Soon enough, the five minutes were up and everyone had returned back to the meeting spot. Aizawa, who had already been waiting there for his all students to arrive, quickly begun telling each team where their starting point was. Careful not to let anyone aside from the team in question hear of course.
Once everyone was in their designated spot, a loud horn sounded. The training exercise had officially begun.
(L/n) and Bakugou found themselves out in the open. Their starting position wasn't the best, as they were pretty much right in the middle of the training ground. Not the best place you'd like to start off in such an exercise.
This only meant that the duo had to be on high alert. Knowing their classmates, if someone spotted the two, (Y/n) was pretty sure that they'd most likely attack.
Provided, they feel confident enough to go face against the literal rage-bomb which was her spiky haired teammate.
Guess there really was something good about being paired up with him.
"Hey, uh. Bakugou-" (Y/n) began, quickly approaching her classmate, mindful of their proximity. In a much lower her tone than the one before the girl then continued. "Taking our location into account, it'll be best to seek cover somewhere. ~ That, or we could get someplace high up. Like on top of some of the buildings?"
Unfortunately though, it appeared that her rational  proposal fell on deaf ears, as Katsuki decided to straight up ignore the girl's logical deduction and do things his own way.
"If you think you can't take a few extras on then don't drag me down with you."
Turning his head back, Bakugou graced the young heroine with a casual glance at her. His smooth features easily managing to send her poor little heart into a frenzy. "I know my own capabilities and I sure as hell won't be beaten by a bunch of wanna-be heroes. ~ So if you can't keep up then don't get in my way."
"Yowamushi."
(Y/n) scowled at the nickname.
Me? A coward? Who's that angry porcupine calling a coward?!
Just as (L/n) was about to speak up against the name-calling boy. She caught sight of something behind him.
Or rather, someone.
"Bakugou, behind you-!"
Almost instantly she opened the corg of a compartment in her utility belt, while quickly activating her quirk.
Katsuki was quick to spring into action himself, quickly turning around to face whoever, or whatever had caused his partner's sudden distress.
Only to be met with the hardened form of none other that the redhead who simply wouldn't leave him alone.
Ejirou Kirishima.
With a vilanously grin quickly taking over his features the blonde activated his quirk, launching himself straight into the air before sending an attack at the charging redhead.
And it seemed that he wasn't the only one with such an idea. A stream of water flowed out of (Y/n)'s belt compartment as her hands maneuvered the seemingly floating water with practiced ease.
Her quirk - Waterbend - was pretty self-explanatory: It allowed the user to "bend" water, or more precisely control and maneuver any type of liquid. However, the now hero-in-training mostly used it on water, hens its unique name.
As the shockwave of his blast met with the oncoming water 'whip', the two attacks seemingly "merged", forming an even more powerful one.
This in turn, sent poor Kirishima staggering back, his arms and other vulnerable body parts hardened by his quirk.
"Go for it Kaminari!"
Ejirou's shout startalled the two.
"Gotcha!"
The electric blonde sounded as he immediately powered up his quirk, with a loud yell. "All out shock! Two million volts!"
Crap-
Just as (Y/n) was about to counteract, she felt a metal sensation in her mouth and before she knew it her whole body felt like it was on fire. Her muscles spasmed uncontrollably as her body fell to the floor.
Well this was just great! Not only had she gotten paired up with the same person she wished not to be her partner, but she had also let her guard down and gotten hit! Some hero she was..
As her mind slipped in and out of consciousness, flashes of images from the past raced trough her mind.
"No, please don't go..!"
Her mind was fuzzy and her libs numb, yet the vague scene played out in her mind as if it was a record put on loop.
"Promise me you'll never give up (Y/n).."
Her whole body ached from the shock of Denki's attack. But something in her stopped the girl from slipping out of consciousness once more. Her vision was blurry but she still tried to focus on the targets at hand.
I won't go down without a fight..
Her body shook as she tried propping herself on her arms, (L/n) tried her best to stand back up on her feet.
Thankfully the members of the opposing team were too distracted with her own partner to register the girl getting up.
Once her vision had cleared up, she could make out the tree boys battling it out with their opponents.
Bakugou was busy avoiding attacks from Kaminari while Kirishima charged at him. The blonde was doing a skilful job at keeping a good distance away from the two but his opponents were giving it their all and not allowing the blonde to find an opening.
They haven't noticed me yet..
(Y/n) thought as she quickly oppened another compartment in her utility belt. The girl always made it an effort to keep a reserve stash of some type of liquid in her belt. It was a request she'd made to the support item team when giving out the instructions on her hero costume.
After the cap was out, the girl could feel the sense of alcohol invading her nostrils.
Ethanol.
Not only was it useful when treating wounds, but it was also highly flammable. Which if used right could be of great help to her.
Now all I need to do is coat their bodies with some and hope Bakugou blasts them while they're distracted.
With a quick motion of her hands the girl managed to splash the two boys with half of the ethanol she had available and used the other half to make a rope like extension towards Katsuki, giving him access to the flamable substance.
"What the?-" One of the boys questioned, while the other turned to look back at their opponent who the duo thought was out cold.
Before any of them could do or say anything else, the sounds of a loud explosion filled the air. The ethanol had come into contact with Bakugou's explosions and caught on fire burning the boys coated in it.
It took (Y/n) and Katsuki a while to handcuff both males, and once they did a loud horn was heard in the air, followed by Present Mic's voice.
"Team Kirishima and Kaminari - Eliminated!"
Guess they're the first ones out. (Y/n) thought as she approached the handcuffed duo in order to take their handcuffs.
With an apologetic look in her eyes the girl crouched down, looking for the metal objects. "Sorry for burning you guys up so badly." She apologized with a calm tone.
Kirishima shook his head, a slight hiss of pain slipping past his forced smile as the girl's hand brushed against his bruised up back. "No hard feelings (L/n)."
Seeing the disheveled state the young heroine was in, Kaminari sighed. "Sorry for knockin' ya out."
After finally finding the handcuffs (L/n) smiled and got up. Turning to the electric blonde, she spoke up. "Don't worry about it. Your quirk's super powerful. Maybe we could train together sometime?" She smiled, her offer immediately easing the gilt Denki felt for actually hurting such a pretty thing as herself.
The light mood was unceremoniously interrupted by none other than Bakugou. Or to be more percise, his abrasive comment. "Tch. If you're done chit-chatting, we need'a get goin'. There are still other extras that need a good beating."
Bidding a quick goodbye to the two boys, (L/n) walked over to her explosive comrade.
Let's just hope the others won't pose as much of a challenge as these two did.
(Part 5)
Author Note:
Well that sure was an interesting fight wasn't it?
Perhaps the next fight wont be as tough? Or will it be even harder? Dealing with our lovely explosion boy can be quite distracting after all. ;')

Your Name
Bakugou Katsuki x Female Reader (part 3)
(part 2)
Tumblr media
"(Y/n)? Are you all right? ~ You've been staring at your dinner like it's wronged you?" Mrs. (L/n) commented, looking at her spaced out daughter with a worried look. "Did something happen at school dear?"
The girl glanced up at her mother, her lips pursed into a tight frown. (M/n) knew her daughter well, and seeing her child like that immediately set off her alert. Something was bothering her baby, and she wasn't going to just sit around and do nothing whilst her only child suffered.
"You know you can tell me anything, right dear?" She spoke up, taking the girl's hand in her own and giving it a gentle squeeze.
Letting out a heavy sigh (Y/n) finally spoke up. "I've just been.. thinking.." She began. "About my mark, and about dad.."
Upon the mention of her husband, (M/n) stiffened. Ever since what happened to her father, it had always been a sensitive subject to talk about. And this only made her worry about her child more.
"What made you think of that sweetheart?" The woman asked in a comforting manner, trying her best to remain calm for the sake of her daughter.
"Well.." (Y/n) began with a heavy tone. "I met Bakugou today.."
At the mention of his name, (L/n)'s mother raised a brow. Under normal circumestances she would've been thrilled to find out that her daughter had finally met her potential soulmate. But seeing the girl's distraught state was telling her that perhaps there was something more to it. Something she had a feeling she wouldn't be too happy about.
"He's in my class." Began (Y/n), tossing the piece of sushi from one side of her plate to the other. The girl had a distant look on her face while doing so, as if she was lost in deep thought. "I actually ran into him before class even started, but I didn't yet know it was him."
"Well what are you all-so gloomy about then dear? For all we know there's a good chance that boy's your soulmate? Shouldn't you be a bit happier that you've finally met him?" Her mother asked, pausing for a moment. "That is, if you even want him to be your soulmate?"
"It's not that- It's just.." By now the grip she had on her chopsticks was much tighter than before. If she were to apply even a bit more pressure they could break in half. "I'm affraid.. ~ Because of what happened to dad."
Her eyes were focused on the meal on her plate as she continued. "I mean- I don't even know if he's my soulmate or not?"
She paused before, glancing up at her mother. "When I first talked to him he was so rude.. And, not just with me! ~ He was like that with everyone for the entire school day!"
"He treated everyone like we were all some sort of extras in his twisted film. ~ Hell, even actual extras get better treatment than how he treated us!"
A deafening silence filled the room as the girl quieted down. Both mother and daughter stood there in utter silence. One due to not knowing what to say and the other as a means of calming down.
(Y/n) was the one to cut the silence. "I don't know how to feel.. What if he's not my soulmate? What if he's my enemy? What if-"
"(Y/n)." Her mother interjected, placing a comforting hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Even if that boy isn't your soulmate, it doesn't mean that the past will repeat itself."
The girl glanced up at her mother, her eyes meeting the woman's own and almost immediately the girl could feel the calming effects her mother's gentle nature had on her.
"You're strong girl (Y/n), don't you ever forget that. Just because he might not be your soulmate doesn't mean you should be afraid. You're more than capable of taking care of yourself now."
At those words, the girl smiled softly and wrapped her arms around her mother, embracing her in a big hug. With her face buried in the crock of her mother's neck, she said. "Thanks mom.. I don't know what I'd do without you."
(M/n) lightly ruffled her daughter's hair as she sighed softly. "Me too kiddo. Me too."

"Katsuki! I told you to take out the trash, damn it!" A feminine, yet rough voice yelled.
Followed an equally rough, but masculine tone. "And I fuckin' told you I've got shit to do!"
"Well whatever you've "gotta do" can wait a second! Stop being so damn lazy and take out the trash, you brat!"
"Fuckin- Fine! I'll take out your stupid trash!" Bakugou growled as he begrudgingly got up from his desk and headed down towards the kitchen. Entering the room he took the garbage bag out of the trashcan and proceeded to take it outside, before finally throwing it into the much larger garbage can.
Once his chore was done, the blonde returned back to the house and entered the kitchen where his mother was once more. Katsuki was being far more quiet than usual and his mother was quick to notice the sudden change in behaivour her son was showing.
"What crawled up your ass and died?" She asked, turning her attention away from the dirty dishes in the sink to look at her scowling son.
"Is that the best way you could've asked?" He scoffed, before rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.
It was painfully obvious that both mother and son shared a handful of similarities. Be it from their appearance to their personalities, it was as if young Bakugou was a copied and pasted version of his mother. With a few minor tweaks and changes of course.
So it should come as no surprise that they conversed with one another in a rather... Unusual manner..
"Will you just spit it out already? I've got work to do, y'know?" Even though Mrs. Bakugou came off as someone who didn't care for her child, that was far off from the truth. In actuality, you could see that she was just like any other mother. That is, if you looked hard enough.
And just like every mother out there she cared and worried about her child's well-being, even if Mitsuki made it almost impossible to notice.
"Met her today." Katsuki stated, his tone was as monotone as it could possibly be, void of any and all emotion and practically impossible to read.
"(L/n)?" His bewildered mother asked, her eyes locked onto her son's unmoving figure.
"Yeah."
With a slight smile on her face, Mistuki began. "Well? What's she like?"
At that question, the blonde simply shrugged his shoulders. "Clumsy." He answered. "Damn girl ran into me this morning. ~ But at least she doesn't seem that weak. Could make for a decent enemy."
"Or a good soulmate." She asked added. "Why do you keep going on about this whole enemy thing? You should be hoping that girl's your soulmate otherwise you're as good as single forever."
"Tch. How many times do I have to tell you? I don't fucking need a shitty soulmate! I'm fine on my own and I don't want some stupid-ass soulmate holding me down."
The woman let out a defeated sigh upon hearing his harsh words. "Listen, Katsuki. You can't stick to this whole "I don't need no one" crap. I know it may seem like it but believe me. Having someone by your side is better than being alone. Together you are stronger than when you are apart."
She paused, looking down at her wrist. "I couldn't be luckier to have met your father. I too thought that I would be better off alone but he changed that." She said smiling softly. "Changed me."
"So, I guess what I'm trying to say is.. Give her a chance. ~ And for the love of god don't fuck things up if she does end up being your soulmate."
With yet another eye roll, Bakugou looked away. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
Tch.. As if I'd ever stoop so low.
***
That's the thing about people. They think they know everything, but the reality is far from it. And this only makes it seem like they barely know anything.
Just when you think you've got someone figured out, you find out things you never knew about that person. Things you would've never believed if you hadn't seen with your own eyes.
And the most important part about it?
That person who you thought you knew could, well in fact, turn out to be you.
***
Fresh air always helped relax a person, and Bakugou was no exception to that rule. He, for one, relished in the comfort and tranquility the outdoors brought him. If you'd let him walk around nature he wouldn't stop until getting absolutely exhausted.
However that wasn't the only reason he went out on such walks. The ashen blonde often found himself out and about whenever he felt the need to think, or when he simply had a lot on his mind.
Such was the predicament he found himself in today.
After the talk with his mother, the boy felt the need to go and get some fresh air. And so, he did.
He couldn't recall for how long he had been walking, but judging from his surroundings, he'd have to guess that it had been around 10 minutes.
He was no longer near his house and had come across the park he used to play in when he was younger. Just looking around filled him with all the memories he made in there.
Allowing his legs to lead the way, the crimson eyed boy found himself arriving at a far too familiar fence.
A soft smirk tugged his lips as he looked at the barbed wire gate. Taking a look around to see if anyone was watching, he opened the gate and walked beyond the fence, stepping foot deeper into memory lane.
The surrounding nature brought a sense of calmness with it. Leading the boy further in.
It took him another ten minutes till he arrived at a familiar sight. It was the tree bridge from all those years back. But now, almost completely unrecognizable. It was rotting and broken in half. Only to be expected from a tree that old.
As he stared at the damaged log, his mind trailed off to that faithful day.
The first time he saw her name.
Raising his left hand the blonde looked down at it. His ruby eyes focusing on the words neatly written on it.
"(L/n) (Y/n)"
His words were heavy, yet her name rolled off his tongue with such ease.
"Tch.. You better be a worthy opponent." He spoke, his eyes still focused on his hand.
Bakugou would be lying if he said that he didn't feel an odd sensation in his wrist the moment he first heard her name. It was a rather peculiar feeling if you ask him. Something like goosebumps on the skin where the name was written.
It wasn't anything too extraordinary, just a light tingly sensation. Strong enough, however, to get his attention.
The odd thing was that he had never felt such an emotion before. So you could only imagine what it could've made him feel.
Confused, was one way to put it. He didn't know what was happening, nor why it was even happening in the first place. But one thing was for sure. Not knowing the cause was seriously pissing him off.
He wasn't one to particularly 'like' being left in the dark and not understanding things. And this whole feeling was only raising more questions than answering.
"What's so special about you, huh?" He asked, referring to the girl whose name was written on his hand. "I don't fucking need a specific name to know who my enemy is. So why the fuck is this even a thing?"
"How come you're so sure it's your enemy and not your soulmate?"
His mother's words rang in his mind.
"For all we know it could be either."
Kicking a pebble and causing it to fall into the small river below, Katsuki clicked his tongue. "Yeah, right." He shoved his hands into his pockets and began walking once more, although this time, heading back home.
"As if a mere extra like her could be my soulmate."

Soulmate.
Such a fascinating concept. One would be lucky to find the other half of their soul, their mate. That one person who completes you, makes you feel whole again.
Even if you might've never known that you could ever feel in such a way.

***
"Mom! Have you seen my other shoe? I can't find it anywhere!" (Y/n) called out, crouching down and looking around for her missing shoe.
"Have you tried looking on the drawers?"
"Of course I have! It's not anywhere!" The girl slumped. "I can't believe I managed to loose my shoe! I've officially got the worst luck ever."
"Oh quit your sulking." Her mother said as she entered the hallway and walked over to her daughter. "I'll find that shoe of yours."
"It's pointless mom! I've literally looked everywhere and there's absolutely no sign of my other-"
"Found it."
The awestruck girl looked at her mother as if she'd just done the most mind-blowing magic trick of all time. "What? How?"
Handing her the other shoe (Y/n)'s mother patted her daughter on the back. "Not important, now get a move on kiddo! You don't want to be late for school now, do you?"
Wiping the disbelief off her features, the (h/c) haired girl took the shoe and put it on, tying the laces into a neat knot.
"Bag? Check. ~ Uniform? Check. ~ Awesome attitude? Double check. M'all ready to go!" She smiled before giving her mom a quick hug goodbye.
"Bye mom! I'll see you after school!"

***
Emeny.
A person who is actively opposed or hostile to someone or something. Most would consider themselves lucky not to have an encounter with such a person.

However.

Although a few. There are certain exceptions who'd be thrilled to meet that exact person.

***
With her hand tightly holding the strap of her bag, the girl made her way towards her new school.
UA High.
The school for the best of the best. The best school in Japan for any and all who sought a career in the hero business. Be it as a support item designer or a hero, UA was the best place for the job!
After all.. The top heroes had graduated there, so it only made sense that it was the best.
I can't believe I'm actually attending UA! This is so cool! Maybe I'll get to meet some Pro-Heros while on campus. ~ Wasn't there a rumor about All Might teaching here?
That would be so coo-

Slam!

Thanks to her daydreaming and not paying enough attention to her surroundings, the young girl walked right into something, or rather, someone.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!-" She immediately apologized, embarrassment seeping into her with each passing second as she glanced at the tall blonde in front of get.
Sweet mother of cheese, is this guy real?
Right in front of her was standing a tall, broad guy who by her standards, looked like someone out of a teen magazine. She felt the heat rising to her cheecks as she realized that she was still pressed against his chest.
Am I dreaming or is that a six pack?-
Shooing those thoughts out of her head she immediately backed up.
Good lord he was hot.
"Are you blind or something? Can't you fucking see where you're going?" His gruff and extremely abrasive voice sounded.
So much for being hot.-
Upon further inspection the boy appeared to be around her age and absolutely pissed.
With a scowl matching the boy's one, (Y/n) crossed her arms over her chest. Tilting her head up, she glared back at him.
"Rude much." She spat, a strong distaste coating her words.
So what if she found him attractive? That was no way to speak to someone you just met! Even if they'd just bumped into you.
"I already said I'm sorry! What else do you want me to say? ~ Perhaps a written apology? Would that suit your needs?"
"Oi, are you mocking me?!" The blonde shot back as a set of tiny explosions ignited in his hand.
Must be his quirk.
"And what if I am?" She said under her breath. "Mr. Blasty Mc-splody." The nickname rolled off her tounge with such ease she almost didn't realize she'd said it.
At that nickname, the already irritated blonde was now fuming with rage. Who did this girl think she was? Talking to him like that! He ought'a show her who's boss.
"You wanna say that again, you extra?" The boy growled, his words laced with venom.
"Oh, I dunno." Replied (Y/n), giving him a nonchalant shrug of the shoulders. "Look. I'd love to stay and chat but- I've got places to be, people to meet. ~ So, y'know."
The girl further emphasized her words with a quick shoulder raze and a simultaneous side-tilt of her head.
"See ya!" She waved, before walking around the awestruck blonde and continuing on her merry way.

What the fuck just happened?

***
"UA at last!" (Y/n) sighed as she looked up at the large school building. "I still can't actually believe I made it here!"
The school was big, almost too big for her liking. There were so many different corridors and areas, one might get lost trying to navigate them! It was a pure miracle that (Y/n) didn't loose her way on her little quest to find class 1-A's homeroom.
Once she finally did though, she was immediately met with the colossal door in front of her classroom.
Woah.
Taking in a deep breath, the girl stepped trough the door and into the classroom. There weren't too many students inside giving the girl just about enough seating spots to choose from. Opting for a spot near the window she placed her backpack onto the desk.
"Hi there!" A voice from behind called out to her, causing the young student to quickly turn around and face whoever had approached her.
A girl with short pink hair and matching pink skin was smiling widely at her.
"Oh, hello." (Y/n) replied, sounding a bit more nervous than she intended to.
"I'm Mina Ashido! It's nice to meet'cha!"
Seeing the cheerful girl (Y/n) couldn't help but smile back. "Nice to meet you too. I'm (L/n) (Y/n)."
"So what school are you from (L/n)?" The pink-toned girl asked, leaning on the desk.
"Oh, I'm from Yokosuka Junior High." She answered before shooting the girl with a question of her own. "And you?"
"Mustafa Private Middle School." The pink skinned girl replied.
For the next few minutes Mina and (Y/n) conversed on various topics. From their middle school years to their future plans and aspirations. The two girls really hit it off.
But all good things must come to an end.
And so (Y/n)'s carefree conversation was interrupted from the abrupt commotion coming from the desk behind her.
"You cannot sit in such a manner! You are disrespecting the school with your behavior! You are at UA, show some respect!" The stern voice caught (Y/n)'s attention.
But what really had her head turning was the painstakingly familiar, gruff voice that followed.
"Did they shove a stick up your ass? Or were you just born with it?"
Oh you've gotta be kidding me-
(Y/n) simply couldn't believe her luck. Out of all the people that could be in her class why did it have to be that hot arrogant guy she stumbled upon on her way to school?
For a split second the two locked eyes with one another. Vermillion orbs meeting (e/c) ones. In that moment, the girl felt an odd sensation in her wrist. It was as if a sudden source of heat had been brought right up to it causing the flesh to warm up.
That was.. odd, to say the least.
Noticing that the blonde's attention was no longer situated on him, the blue haired male glanced over to what, or in this case who, had managed to steal his attention away from the clearly extremely important lecture, young Tenya was giving to this brash boy who was now his classmate.
He did not recognize the girl, leasing him to the clear assumption that she must be from another school. And if that was the case he must do the proper thing in this situation and introduce himself to her.
"You there!" The boy said gesturing to the startalled female.
"Me?"
"Indeed. I apologize, I haven't introduced myself yet. ~ I'm Tenya Iida, from Somei Private Academy." He finished.
"O-Oh, I'm (L/n) (Y/n).. From Yokosuka Junior High." (L/n) answered. "It's nice to meet you."
Well this guy's attention sure did a full 180! Wasn't he busy lecturing to Blasty over there just a minute ago?
"The pleasure is all mine." He answered, however his words fell on deaf ears as young (L/n) was far too occupied with trying to ignore the ruby eyes boaring holes into the side of her head.
If looks could kill she was sure she'd be a gonner.
It took her all the strength she could muster to simply not look back at the blonde.
Lucky for her however, their teacher soon came to the rescue and pried the blonde's eyes off her. Thank you Erasure Head!
"Settle down class.." The way too tiered-looking man began. His whole demeanor really did fit the whole "I don't get payed enough for this" trope. Disheveled and unkept look, tiered eyes, he looked like everything except what you'd normally expect a proper teacher to look like.
"Since most of you don't know each other we can start off by introducing yourselves to the rest of your classmates."
The air was silent for a moment as everyone looked at one another, waiting to see if anyone was good Ng to step up and be the first to break this deafening silence.
Not waisting any more time Aizawa gestured to a green green haired boy. "Go on." He began, gesturing to the boy with his hand, giving him the que to start with his introduction.
The next few minutes were filled spent with students telling the others their names and a few interesting things about themselves. Just as (Y/n) had expected.
Well...
That was until his turn came.
In all honesty she hadn't expected to find him so quickly. She was sure that it was going Ng to take quite a long time, perhaps even a lifetime till she found him.a
She saw it as quite astonishing if she were to be completely honest.
And.. slightly saddening at the same time. Or perhaps disappointing would be a better a better fit?

"The name's Bakugou Katsuki."

***
The name your get on your hand belongs to either your soulmate..

Or your mortal enemy.

There's a fifty percent chance that a person gets either choice which at first doesn't seem like such a bad deal.
And perhaps it isn't? Who wouldn't be happy that it isn't a lower percentage?
The only thing that would make it better would be for there to exist a simple and easy way to determine which one you've got, instead of leaving it up to your own judgement of that person.

So then..

What does that leave me at?

.
.
.

A game of soulmate or not?

Your Name
Bakugou Katsuki x Fem Reader (part 1)
Summary:
Once you turn four years old, a name appeares on your wrist.
The name of your soulmate...
..or your mortal enemy.
***
Guess I got my enemy's.
Tumblr media
They say that once a person turns four years old, a name will appear on their wrist.
The name of either their soulmate..
..or their mortal enemy.
Pretty interesting right? You either get to meet the one you are destined to be with. The half that you never knew you were missing. Your one and only, your true love..
Or.
The person you'll despise most. The sole being who is going to make your life a living hell. Or to put it simply, the bein of your existence. Your mortal enemy
And the best part about it? You have no clue who you got until you've met that person.
***
(Y/n) could remember the first time she saw his name, on the morning of her fourth birthday. The little girl had gotten up, excitement pouring out of her little body as she happily made her way towards the bathroom to wash up and get ready for the day to come.
As she made her way into the decent sized bathroom and proceeded to pick up her toothbrush something caught her eye. Some words were neatly written on the inner part of her hand.
Being only a four year old child, with no prior knowledge on the matter the girl felt rather confused. Why were there words written on her hand? Who had written them there? Had it been her father? Or her mother perhaps?
And most importantly, what did they mean?
Try as she might poor (Y/n) could only wonder on how those words had appeared on her hand. After a bit of thought on the matter the petite girl left her toothbrush where it had been and quickly exited the bathroom in search of her parents.
"Mommy! Daddy!" The girl called out to her parents as she made her way down the stairs to the kitchen. Her little feet thumping along the wooden stairs as she approached the room.
Sure enough, her parents were inside. Upon seeing their child both of them smiled. (Y/n)'s father quickly went up to his little girl and picking her up and swinging her around, causing the child to erupt into a fit of giggles, momentarily forgetting what she'd came there to ask.
"There's our birthday girl!" He spoke in such a way that only a loving father could with to his precious daughter. "Look at you! So grown up!"
(Y/n) laughed at her father's words. "Silly daddy! I'm not that old! I'm only this big!" She said, gesturing to her small body with her equally small hands.
"You're absolutely right sweetheart." (Y/n)'s mother chimed in, walking over to the two with a loving smile, similar to the one on her father's features.
Placing a hand on her child's hair, the woman ruffled her (h/c) locks. The action made young (L/n) smile brightly, showing her mother the few missing teeth spots she had where her baby teeth used to be.
Not long after, the small girl composed herself and looked at both her parents, simultaneously raising the hand with the strange words on it.
"I found this weird mark on my hand. I was going to brush my teeth when I saw it." The girl explained, pointing at the Kanji written on her arm.
What confused little (Y/n) more was the fact that her parents didn't seem to be phased by the strange markings on her wrist. Did this mean that they knew something about this that she didn't? Probably.
(Y/n)'s mother wasted no time in giving her child the explanation she figured the girl needed.
"Those words on your wrist are a name dear." The woman explained, before raising her own hand and tugging on the sleeve of her shirt. This, in turn caused the soft fabric to move aside and bring into view something written on her wrist.
Upon close inspection, (Y/n) could see that the words were written in a similar way to the ones on her own wrist. Although is seemed like they said something else.
"Everyone has a name written on their hands dear." Her mother explained. "Each one of us gets it when we turn four. Just like you did today." She continued, crouching down to be at level with her daughter.
"That name belongs to either your soulmate or your enemy." The woman finished, giving the petite girl some time to process what was going on.
"Soul-mate?" (Y/n) questioned, quirking a brow as if trying to further emphasize her confusion.
"A soulmate is the one person you are destined to be with." Her father said, capturing the girl's attention. Her eyes turned to look at his approaching figure.
"Think of it as your best friend. Someone you can tell anything and not fear their reaction to it. Someone you like being around." At this explanation the young girl made an "oh" with her mouth.
Now she got it! So this meant that she now knew the name of her new best friend! She couldn't wait to meet whoever it was!
(Y/n) could already begin to imagine all the lovely playdates they'd have. They could go play on the swings together, or maybe even play hide and seek! And afterwards they'd come home and her mother would make them the yummiest cookies ever!
(Y/n)'s little daydream didn't last long however, as the small child quickly remembered the second half of the explanation.
"And what if it's.." She began, unfortunately forgetting the name of the word. What was it again?
"Enemy?" Her mother asked.
"Yeah! Enemy! What if it's that?" The girl asked, her eyes sparkling with determination to broaden her vocabulary with such big-girl words.
With a sigh her father crouched down, getting at eye level with his daughter. The man had a relatively serious look on his face as he placed a hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder. "In that case.." He began.
He wondered how he was supposed to lightly introduce the topic of an enemy to his four year old daughter. She viewed the world in such a positive light that he found himself worried about abstracting that pure view she had on things. However, despite that he knew that she'd learn about it sooner or later. So it'd be much better if she was well educated on that matter by someone with much more experience on the matter.
"If you get your enemy then that means that you'll know the name of the person who you won't like at all. See, an enemy is the exact opposite of a soulmate. As much as you may like your soulmate, you'll dislike your enemy as much."
Little (L/n) nodded. "So this means that whoever this name belongs to is either my new best friend ever! Or, my worst friend ever..?" She said, explaining the term in her own much simpler way.
Her parents nodded. She might have not gotten the exact definition right, but it was a good start.
"But how will I know if it's my soulmate or not?" The small child questioned. This was all so new to her, yet she was doing her best to soak up any new information like a sponge.
As an answer to this question her mother showed the girl her wrist, pointing to the Kanji neatly written on her wrist. "Do you know whose name is written on my wrist sweetie?"
(Y/n) shook her head, no.
"It's your father. See?" The woman pointed to the first Kanji and then the second. "(L/n) (F/n), your father's name." At this news (Y/n) jumped in excitement and quickly turned to her father, her eyes sparkling with joy. Did this mean that her father had her mother's name as well? How amazing would that be!
"Daddy! Do you have Mommy's name?"
At this question her father gave her a shake of his head, before showing his child the name written on his own wrist. "I don't have your mother's name (Y/n)." He pointed a finger to the Kanji. "This says Shimura Tenko." The man explained. "Everyone gets a unique name and it's up to them to determine if it's their soulmate or their enemy. I haven't met this person though."
"But I've met your father." (Y/n)'s mother interjected. Wrapping and arm around her husband's arm. "And I can confidently say that your father is most definitely not my enemy." The woman smiled softly, giving her husband a kiss.
"To answer your question." Her mother continued. "When you meet that person you'll know who it is. That's the only way I know how to explain it to you sweetie."
The small girl nodded, she wasn't quite sure how she'd understand it but she would take her mother's word for it. She was much more knowledgeable than her so she must know best! Or at least better than she did.
(Y/n) would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't even a little bit worried about the person being her enemy. But the chance that it could also be her soulmate was much more enticing.
Looking down at her hand the girl eyed the name curiously, before showing it to her mother, her eyes shining a (e/c) color.
"What's it say mommy?" She asked.
Her mother took a look at her daughter's hand, letting out a soft 'hmm' in response. "My.. What an interesting name.." She said in a soft tone which only caused the already impatient girl to not be able to contain her pure excitement.
"What is it!"
"Here it says.. Bakugou Katsuki."

"Forward march and here we go!" A blonde boy called out as he lead a group of other small children across a log which served as a bridge for them to cross over to the other side of the small river. The children appeared to be around four or so, some showing odd physical abnormalities, courtesies of their respective quirks.
"Members of the agency, Bakugou-!" The boy continued, accidently slipping on the log and falling down into the river.
"Woah!- Bakugou-" One child called out to the ashen blonde.
As a response the young boy smiled as he waved a hand nonchalantly. "Relax! It's only a bit'a water! I'll come back up in a sec!"
"Kacchan!" Another voice called out, and as Bakugou looked towards the sound of the voice, his brows furrowed slightly upon seeing the outstretched hand of the emerald eyed boy, standing in front of him. "Are you alright?" He asked. "Are you hurt?"
'Kacchan' scowled, getting up on his own and completely disregarding the offer of help from the youngster ahead. "I said I'm fine! I don't need your help Deku!"
With a saddened look on his face Izuku watched as his 'friend' walked off into the distance, getting up on his own and completely leaving him behind. It was like that most days, he always pursued his so-called friend, while Katsuki always did his best to avoid him, and/or make fun of him.
It seemed that Bakugou had a strong distaste for the jade-eyed boy.
"Hey Bakugou, what's that on your hand?" One of the boys next to the blonde asked, pointing a curious finger at the boy's hand.
"What are you talking about?" The blonde asked, as his crimson eyes trailed off to the mentioned spot, only to widen as he looked at the Kanji written on his wrist. A triumph full smile gracing his smooth features.
"Finally! The name of my mortal enemy!" The boy cheered. "A worthy opponent!"

That day Katsuki returned home with a bashful look on his face, despite the whole falling into the lake thing. He had finally gotten the name of his mortal enemy! And in just a matter of minutes, he'd finally be able to know the actual name of said enemy.
Bakugou was a smart child, not to mention very observant. Ever since he could remember, he'd always asked about everything and anything that peaked his interest. Be it small things, or something a bit more important.
And so, he now was going to ask his mother to read this name to him. It wasn't that young Bakugou couldn't read or anything of the sort, not at all. The boy could read some words written in Hiragana and Katakana, but he simply didn't know a lot of Kanji. And seeing as the whole name was written like that, he'd have quite the problem understanding what the words meant.
"Mom!" The boy called out, entering the living room.
"What's the matter Katsuki?" His mother asked, leaving her work in the kitchen to come and see what her son was calling her about.
"Look!" He yelled, waving his hand in the air, flashing the woman a toothy grin. "I got it! The name of my enemy! See?"
Mrs. Bakugou glanced down at her son's wrist, seeing that he did in fact have a name written on it.
Her features softened as she approached the boy, crouching down to get to his level. "You did now, huh?"
"Yeah! Can you tell me what it says!" He said, holding his hand out to her, allowing Mitsuki a clear view of the words on his wrist.
"Alright, alright. Give me a minute." The woman looked at the Kanji before saying out loud. "It says (L/n) (Y/n)."
Looking up from his wrist the boy's mother gave him an intrigued look. "How come you're so sure it's your enemy and not your soulmate? ~ For all we know it could be either."
"Because!" He pouted. "I don't need a stupid soulmate! I'm fine just on my own!" The boy crossed his arms, turning his head away from his mother.
"Oh really?" His mother edged on. "You expect me to believe that you're not going to be a little interested if it ends up being your soulmate and not your mortal enemy?"
"Yeah!"

He didn't realize how wrong his words would be.
