Favorite Albums: January To June

Hello my fellow music lovers, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a music post so since we‘re more than half way through the year now and a lot of great albums came out I thought it would be cool to have an album I really loved for each month so far, plus there will be some honorably mentions,it’s hard to fit everything. Also I know i haven’t listened to everything and haven’t listened to some albums enough, so If people comment on this let me know what I’m missing!. I’ll probably make an albums of the year once everything has come out!. I hope you find your new favorite albums happy listening! 🎧

Also side note I’ll put some honorable mentions for each month too that are worth a listen!

JANUARY

The Dirty Nil-Fuck Art

First off, the cover is the first reason why this was my favorite album of January, gotta love a dog on the cover. This one by no means a lyrical masterpiece but what is is a really fun time with lyrics that are satirical and not serious, which is what I think me and those who have listened to this needed after the year 2020 was. Second reason I think this album is great is the singer sounds a lot like Dexter Holland, the singer of The Offspring and similar to them they have a great genre blend between a more pop punk sound and heavier moments. I don’t think this will be my album of the year but it’s definitely one I’ll remember and come back to if a need a nice boost of serotonin to brighten my day.

HONORABLE MENTION

Joe Vann-Found In The Smoke: The singer from the band From Indian Lakes put out a really solid mellow, acoustic album with electronic elements perfect for relaxing.

February

Teenage Wrist-Earth is a Black Hole

If nothing changes I think this album will definitely be in my top 10 of the year. With a mix of 90’s grunge and shoegaze and rock but with amore modern production, the songs are full of hooks and a nostalgic sound that you can’t help but groove and head bang too. They keep a similar sound from their last album Chrome Neon Jesus despite having a new singer, and making it different enough to where it doesn’t sound like the same record. The transition to a new singer was seamless and doesn’t feel like a brand new band, it’s feel good and moody album that has been on repeat since it’s release.

HONORABLE MENTION

John The Ghost-I Only Want To Live Once: Solo project and first full length of John O’ Callaghan lead singer of The Maine. Some songs with the pop rock style of The Maine with songs like Rolled Down Window and SO SO and some with a more produced pop sound like Y, also drive is the perfect night driving song. Enjoyable album to listen to for the summertime!.

MARCH

Citizen-Life In Your Glass World

Spoiler Alert!!!!! This is the top contender for my album of the year as of right now, we’ll see if anything dethrones it but it’s going to be hard to top this. Citizen truly get better with every release and have yet to release a bad album, mastering the art of evolving their sound each album. This time Citizen tackles a more dance punk sound and it’s not something I knew I wanted but this album blew my expectations in the best way. The first three songs, Death Dance Approximately, I Want To Kill You and Blue Sunday are some of my favorite songs they’ve ever made, and I listen to them at least once a week. Fight Clu song to date butit. Winter Buds is the softest song on the album but it hits you with this Killer guitar solo, and it ends on Edge of The World that is reflective and perfecfor a drive. My favorites from this album change every time I listen to it, I just grow to love it even more on each listen, its The perfect album to dance and thrash too.!. If you only listen to one album from this list make it this one you won’t be disappointed.

Chevelle-NIRATIAS: I will never understand how Chevlle is still so underrated after all these years, really solid album, they somehow get better each album, and it has a space theme!.

Tigers Jaw- I Won’t Care How You Remember Me: Catchy as ever and perfecting their dual vocals, every song has a hook, you’ll be bobbing your head the whole way through.

APRIL

Tilian-Factory Reset

Fourth studio album by Dance Gavin Dance and ex Tides of Man vocalist Tilian Pearson, and maybe his best album yet.This is definitely his most produced and pop album, but I also think he’s really found his sound on this record. Beaming with confidence and swagger,the music sounds as bright and as confident as ever despite some of the lyrical content. Maintaining moments of the Dance Gavin Dance sound, but also being the most experimental he’s been yet flirting with pop and electronic sounds. The songs are catchy and groovy, and isntantly grabbing, you’ll find yourself singing the words quick and wanting to dance. Overall every song is solid I find myself only skipping a few, this is also up there for me as one of my top albums of the year and has been on constant rotation. Tilian has one of the most unique and ear warming voices you’ll ever hear and if you want an serotionin filled fun album to blast in the summer this is it. Favorite Songs: Holy Water, Dose, Caught In a Carousel, Anthem, Breathe

HONORABLE MENTION

Origami Angel-Gami Gang: Origami Angel do it again with their sophmore release Gami Gang,this album made me smile the whole way through the first time I heard it i immediatley ordered the vinyl. It’s got the originally that this duo always bring with the off beat melody choices and goofy song titles like Mobius Chicken Strip and the guitar work is in a league of its own. If you like pop punk but want something exciting and different than the average then give this a spin, they’ll become one of your new fsvorite bands!.

MAY

Aly & Aj- A Touch of The Beat Gets You Off of Your Feet and Into The Sun ☀️

Holy shit this album came as a surprise, it’s better than I could have ever expected, now disclaimer I was a big Aly & Aj fan growing up to the point of obsession, and I got into their newer EP’s so I was anticipating this, but man this blew my expectations out the water. Also just have to say before I start that after revisiting Into The Rush and even Insomniac, they still slap, but I’m completely on board with their new indie pop sound. It’s been over a decade since their last album and they now have the freedom to make their own music away from Disney and I think they’ve really grown into their own artistry. Obviously having a more mature and grown up sound from their previous work, this album is bright and warm and it’s the perfect album for summertime and driving with the windows down. The album name really does encompass the sound of the album it makes you want to dance around in the sun and go on a long drive with friends. This is how you do a comeback album right. Easily one of my favorite albums of the year so far, they are not the same Aly & AJ from Disney, give this album a shot!.

Honorable Mention

Dodie-Build a Problem: I was never a huge Dodie fan, i’ve watched her youtube for years now and have listened to a few of her songs but never s full album until now. I have to say i really enjoyed it, With Dodie’s quiet but sweet voice, the insightful personal lyrics and the somber orchestral led tracks, this is a calming and introspective listen that’s good to either relax or cry to.

JUNE

Wolf Alice-Blue Weekend

This one is hands down one of the biggest surprises of the year for me and another contender for album of the year. I was a casual fan of this British band before but now can say for sure I’m 100% a fan now. Atmospheric and moody, this is in my opinion Wolf Alice’s best album to date, songs like Delicious Things and Lipstick On The Glass have a haunting sound that drew me in right away, and they’ve been on constant repeat ever since. This the perfect album to listen to on a night drive, it’s enjoyable any time of day but listening to this album at night truly draws you into it. I also recommend watching The music videos there’s one for each song and it tells the story of each one. This album gets better with each listen with, you can guarantee seeing this on my end of year best albums list, don’t sleep on this.

Japanese Breakfast-Jubilee 🍊

Another surprise for me, I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I do, I was also a casual fan of Michelle Zauner’s work, not that I don’t like her other music but this one is a big tone shift. This album sounds like sunshine, songs like Be Sweet see a more retro dance sound thats so earwarming and the trumpets on Slide Tackle is all I need in my life. If Wolf Alice hadn’t take the main spot this would definitely be there!

SPRING ANIME 2021: What I Watched!

Hello my fellow Weebs! I hope everyone has been well, and has enjoyed this stacked season of Anime, I think it’s been one of the best in awhile. I had great reception to the last one of these I did so I’m definitely going to do these seasonally I hope you guys enjoy this one too. I know the Summer season just started but if you need to catch up on some shows from last season then this is for you!. Also heads up since Tokyo Revengers and To Your Eternity are still airing they won’t be included in this list but i will gush about how great they are once they’ve finished, until then go watch those and enjoy this list!. Editing note decided to do another random roundup for the shows I didn’t have a lot to say about but wanted to still include some thoughts!.

1. Vivy: Flourite Eye’s Song

Starting with one of the most underrated shows this season Vivy. Beautifully animated by Wit Studio who’s done Anime such as Attack on Titan and from the creator of well known Isekai series Re Zero it’s surprising this fell under the radar. This one definitely wins for some of the best animation this season and some of the most badass, seamless fight scenes. The story isn’t anything super unique but it‘s different enough to keep your interest, and I haven’t seen many anime take on the theme of saving the human race from robots. Its one of those Anime you definitely have to pay attention to, there’s a lot of time travel and information to take in that you’ll miss what’s going on if your not paying attention. But if your into Sci-Fi Anime with action, robots, time travel and some singing then it’s definitely worth a watch.

Now for the spoiler free story synopsis, Vivy who is also known as Diva,is a singing robot at an amusement park who’s sole purpose is making people happy with her singing. However when she is approached by a cube shaped robot name Matsumoto with a mission to save the world from the incoming invasion of robots destroying the human race. Without much explanation or thought Vivy as the first autonomous robot must fight and travel through time to prevent the destruction of human kind one hundred years in the future. Traveling to the future and the past Vivy must prevent certain events from happening to stop the chain effect of humanities downfall with success and failure, while continuing to bring peace through her voice.

2. Odd Taxi 🚕

One of the other most underrated shows on this list is one about a Walrus taxi driver, Odd Taxi. To be honest I probably would have passed by this show if I didn’t hear about it from Anime Youtuber Mother’s Basement, so shoutout to him. Don’t let the fact the the entire cast are animals, it’s one of the best parts of the show, and fits well with the title. I enjoyed this one way more than I originally thought I would, and similar to shows like Durarara there’s a large group of characters who are all connected and a deeper plot that connects them. It keeps you interested as the plot unveils itself and it’s definitely worth the ride.

Odd Taxi definitely lives up to its name, its an odd but enjoyable show, it follows the main characters Odokawa, the taxi driving Walrus and the unique passengers he encounters. He gets customers like an attention seeking hippo obsessed with social media to straight up criminals who try to blackmail him. He gets roped into dangerous and weird situations that are all connected in different ways. Being a taxi driver is anything but an easy ride for Odokawa, and you definitely should definitely find out why on this mystery anime full of twists and turns.

3. Zombie land Saga Revenge 🧟‍♀️

The second season of the only idol show i will watch, Zombieland Saga… Revenge. I enjoyed the first season but for some reason I liked this one a little bit more than the first, and if you liked this one there’s more Zombie idol greatness. There’s still bad CGI singing montages but it doesn’t totally deter me from the show, although i wish there were more metal songs those were my favorite!. I think what I appreciated about his season is that they went more in depth on the backstories of each member of Franchouchou and you rooted for them to succeed, also my favorite character the crazy Kotaro is back!. So if you enjoyed the first season give this a watch and If you haven’t watched either stop reading this and go watch both.

Spoiler Alert to anyone who hasn’t watch the second season or any Zombieland Saga at all! Here’s a short synopsis of season two. Like i’ve said season two is more of the same thing, they’re still trying to become famous idols in Saga and pay off their debt, but this time it’s all about revenge and having a second chance at their failures. They play the venues that only had a few people show up and do it even bigger and better than before while trying to bring hope and prosperity to the dying saga, and of course still keeping their secret of being zombies.

4. Fruits Basket: The Final Season

I want to say first that im so damn happy that there’s finally a proper conclusion to fruits basket with an actual ending that did the story justice. I’m so happy for the non manga readers who only watched the original or who have never watched the original to experience all of it. So in case it wasn’t obvious i absolutely loved every bit of this remake as a whole and this last season. it’s every bit as heartwarming and sweet as it was portrayed in the manga and it was nice to revisit scenes that i has forgotten about and to see them animated in color. If you haven’t finished or have not watched any Fruits Basket, it’s one of the best Shoujo’s ever written and every character is so full of life and detailed you can’t help but adore them all. From the main to the side charcters every one gets their time and their stories wrapped up and no story part is left hanging. This remake was the redemption this series deserved and it was so well made from start to finish no need for synopsis on this one, if you want to see an Anime adaptation done the right way and make your life better watch Fruits Basket.

RANDOM ROUNDUP

1. Those Snow White Notes(Mashiro No Oto)

This is one i enjoyed more at the beginning of it, but as it progressed i started to get kind of bored, and just didn’t really care about the characters or story. I don’t watch many music anime so this probably wasn’t the show for me, it did have really nice animation though!.

2. The World Ends With You

I had lower expectations for this one since video game adpatations are usually not great but i really liked the animation and i’m a big Kingdom Hearts fan. Despite being in the Kingdom Hearts franchise this met my low expectations, and was just a mediocre show, with lots of repetitive fights and boss battles and a lack lister story. Probably will check out the game still at some point.

3. 86

I really wished i liked this one more, its not a bad series, there’s lots of heartfelt moments and you do feel for the charcters but i found myself losing interest in the monotonous mech battles and long dialogues. Also i just didn’t connect to the characters and couldn’t keeo track of them.I do like mech shows but this one just didn’t do it for me i didn’t even remember the ending at first, this isnt one im going to remember.

4. Mars Red

Initially i was drawn to the art style and the historical setting but i felt the same problem i did with 86,the characters just didn’t stick out to me. Neither did the story really it’s another one i wish i liked more but the story didn’t grab me as it went on. If you like vampire Anime this might be a good one for you, it does add something unique with having vamoire soldiers so for that it might be worth a watch.

Underrated Video Games/Indie Gems

Hello everyone, happy Friday, Hope your having a good day and are looking forward to the weekend like I am! What a better way to spend the weekend then to avoid responsibilities and play video games!. I did an underrated bands and an underrated Anime blog post So I have to do a video game one!. So hopefully you find a game you’ve never heard of and find something new to play.

edit note: Huge apologies for this being later and for not posting for a bit got caught up with life and making art but will resume my usual weekly posting thank you for reading these posts and sticking with me hope you like this one!

1. Forgotten Anne(2018)

If you want to play a game that feels like a mix between a Studio Ghibli movie and Beauty and The Beast than this is the game for you. The animation, and especially the cut scenes and scenery remind me a lot of Studio Ghibli, and the story and how most of the characters are personified objects reminds me a little of Beauty and The Beast, especially the character Fig(the one with the sword) totally looks like Lumiere!. I randomly came across this game in the PlayStation store and was immediately drawn to the art style without knowing the story, then I saw the Ghibli like cutscenes from the trailer and was sold. This game really makes you feel like your playing a movie and the story is just as good as the art work, it keeps you intrigued to find out how it progressed. I’d say it’s a moderately hard game but mainly just because sometimes the puzzles are a bit tricky,but if your a casual gamer I don’t think it’s overbearingly difficult. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, I don’t think there’s anything like it, and it really deserves more recognition and praise.

A brief summary of the story I really don’t want to spoil it because it is a story heavy game and it’s best played rather than explained. The story follow Anne, the enforcer who watches over the forgotlings, objects that are forgotten in the real world come to life in a universe called The Forgotten Lands. Her role is to keep the order and to assist her master Bonku. The forgotlings goal is to one day return to the real world to reunite with their owners, Bonku is building a machine called the Ether Bridge to send the forgotlings back home. But one day a rebellion of forgotlings is formed to try to stop the production of the ether bridge and Anne must stop the rebels.

2. Donut County (2018)🍩

Probably one of the more well known games on this list but I think only in the indie sphere of games so for those of you who don’t know here it is. I’m not sure what kind of genre this game is classified under, but I’d say it’s kind of a puzzle game. It’s a short game but it doesn’t feel like it’s lacking in content, the dialogue is witty and the characters are quirky, i mean the main character Is a raccoon, although you play as a hole. So as you probably guessed it’s definitely an odd premise but that’s what gives the game its charm, plus I love the colorful art style. So if you want a game that’s truly one of a kind, and a good way to pass a few hours or days this is a great pick.

A Little bit about Donut County, like i said you play as a hole, who’s goal is to suck up everyone and everything into it. The reason for this hole and the other holes swallowing the town is the raccoon BK, who wants the new quadcopter drone. His co worker, the human Mira, notices BK obsessing over this app, to earn enough points for the quadcopter. But instead of the app sending donuts it sends out more holes. Eventually Mira, BK and the rest of the townspeople are sucked underground and they learn that the one who made the app is BK’s boss The Trash King And must stop him from swallowing the whole town and to bring the people back to the surface.

3. Sea of Solitude(2019)

First off full disclaimer, I haven’t finished this game but from what I have played I’ve really enjoyed so I think that’s reason enough to be on this list!. It’s worth it to get this game just because of how pretty the water is, and it’s relaxing being in the boat when your not running away from monsters. Similar to games like Senua’s Sacrafice it focuses on mental health and fighting your own demons, literally. It’s a game of self discovery and bringing light back into the main character Kay’s life by defeating the personified inner demons. It’s great that there are more games like this shining a light on mental health and I hope it helps people by sharing this game! Warning this game tackles a lot of sensitive topics and serious issues so it may not be the right game for some!

To Elaborate a little more on the story, like I mentioned before it follows Kay, who is filled with loneliness, grief, and inner turmoil. This inner dread takes over her to the point where she turns into a monster, and the negative emotions that she has get turned into monster that are trying to kill her. You go through this empty water filled city fighting off these monsters which are Kay’s inner feelings and dialogue to help her overcome them to better understand herself and to release those negative emotions. The game was also recently released on the switch with new voice actors and updates so if you have wanted to play it now is the perfect time to! and I look forward to finishing this game myself!

4. Flipping Death (2018)💀

If you like Tim Burton movies, especially Corpse Bride, or just spooky, death related things in general you’ll probably like this game. It’s weird, witty and whimsical, and you can play it anytime but it’s definitely perfect for Halloween time. This is another game where I unfortunately haven’t beat all of it yet but from what I’ve played it’s definitely good enough for this list. It’s a puzzle, adventure platformer with an painted looking art style all its own, a dialogue full of puns and humor, and a collection of different stories from all the deceased characters. It keeps the game interesting learning all these people’s stories and unraveling how they died and how they‘re all connected In this game of life and death.

When the main character Penny dies of a mysterious death on her way home one night she wakes up to find out she’s dead, and must take over the job of death himself. She’s just a temp but she has to flip between the living and the dead world to uncover the mysterious deaths of the deceased by possessing their bodies. You get to play as the dead people you meet, help them move on and figure out the connecting story between all of them. As well as finding out the reason for Penny’s death, it’s a flippin good time. Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC

5. Night In The Woods(2017)

Probably the most well known and popular game on this list, especially in the indie sphere of games, but I still feel like it’s not as popular as it deserves to be. This is hands down one of my favorite games I’ve ever played it’s become easily top 10 for me. If you haven’t played Night In The Woods, stop reading this, buy the game, it will make your life better. From the relatable characters to the beautiful hand drawn art style and a story that is engaging, funny, original and has different ways it can be played, this game has everything going for it. Plus it’s also got a lot of heart and the characters feel so real and you really get to know them and there’s a mystery to where the story is going and you really don’t quite figure it out til the end. Enough gushing about this game I could go on about it for hours hopefully I’ve convinced you so far to go play it.

Now for the story and characters, first you have Mae, my personal favorite character and who I relate to a little too much, the college dropout who returns to her hometown of Possum Springs. Then there’s her old best friend Bea, the gothic, gloomy crocodile, her best friend and partner in crime Gregg who works at the Snack Falcon. Then there’s his boyfriend Angus, and intellectual bear who enjoys astronomy. They find out shortly after Mae returns home that another one of their old friends Casey Hartley has mysteriously disappeared. Without spoiling too much, this game is best enjoyed without knowing much about the story or what happens, but along with their friend going missing, Mae and her friends continue to witness horrific things which causes Mae to have vivid dreams and makes her mental health decline as the story progresses. You learn about potential ghosts, the dark hidden secrets of possum springs, and you learn a lot about the characters and what their personally going through. It’s a coming of age, mystery game, where your decisions and who you decide to hang out with more effects your game. Plus there’s also mini games, and different ones you can play by choosing different characters on replays so there’s games inside the game. That should be enough to convince to play this truly special game, it’s perfect to play any time but especially in the fall, please I’d you play any game on this list it has to this one!.

Underrated Anime Part 1:

Hello my fellow Weebs, I’m back for some more Anime blogging, this time to talk about so not so well known ones. Some that have got forgotten with time, some that new Anime fans have maybe never heard of and the ones that I feel deserve more love and recognition. I’ve been watching Anime for about 13 years so I’ve seen a lot so this will be in at least 3 parts, so hopefully you like this and look forward to more. Til then enjoy, hope you can find some new anime you’ve never heard of thanks for reading and look forward to part 2!.

1. Azumanga Daioh(2002)

Starting off with an older Anime, and one of the best and earlier comedy, slice of life Anime that paved the way for a lot of other Anime in the same genre like Nichijou and Daily Lives of High School Boys. Off the wall and highly unrealistic, this comedy is completely over the top in the best way possible. it’s old but gold and should be crowned as one of the best comedy Anime to exist.

With the most lovable cast, you have Chiyo the 5th grader who is so crazy smart she gets placed in a high school class, then there’s Osaka, who’a real name is Ayumu Kasuga who’s named that because she‘s from Osaka. Osaka isn’t the smartest and neither is her other classmate Tomo Takino who will do anything to avoid studying. Then to balance out the cast is Koyomi Mizuhara aka Yomi, the smart one who keeps everyone in line and Kagura the sporty one. Then of course can’t forget to mention the teachers Yukari Sensei who is anything but the normal responsible teacher and to balance her out Minamo Sensei the responsible one. There’s no real plot with Azumanga Daioh but there’s not meant to be it’s just an over the top comedy slice of life, with moments that will make you laugh from your gut. It’s all about the characters and the ridiculous situations their put in and each one is a lovable idiot that really drives the show. Give this one a shot if you want a show that will put a big smile on your face the whole way through.

2. Eden of The East (2009)

Another older Anime, not everything on this list will be older Anime but there’s so many good ones like this!. Eden of The East is an action, mystery with elements of romance with one of the most unique stories I’ve seen in Anime. It’s a short watch being only eleven episodes with two movies following after which I recommend watching because they continue the story. I’m really surprised not more people know or talk about this show but it need to be talked about more!.

With one of the funniest and most bizarre starts to an Anime, our lead charcter Saki is on a trip to Washington D.C, when she gets in trouble for throwing a coin in the White House’s fountain she’s saved by a naked man who claims to be a terrorist. Not only is this mysterious man naked and claims to be a terrorist, he also has amnesia and is carrying a phone with 8.2 million dollars. Saki befriends this strange man and throughout the story they try to uncover more of his past, his involvment in an incident called careless monday and a dangerous death game with other players. They must also spend all of the money as instucted by the mysterious voice in the phone Juiz as well as try to save the world.

3. R.O.D The TV( 2003)

Ok I know I said this list wouldn’t only be older Anime but I guess the older Anime just has my heart and this one has a special place in mine. One of my all time favorites and one of the earliest Anime I saw and it still holds up to me til this day. It is hands down probably the most underrated show on this entire list and if you only watch one of these Anime please make it this one. The story is completely original, the characters are complex and endearing, there’s action, heartwarming moments, comedy and mystery, I wish there was more Anime like it, it deserves to be a classic.

It‘s a one of a kind show about the paper sisters Michelle, the oldest bubbly bookworm, Maggie the seemingly intimidating quiet giant. Then you have the youngest sister Anita who unlike her sisters hates books, she’s a bit rough around the edges but loves her sisters. Although they aren’t actually sisters they have a detective agency to help find lost books to help pay for rent while also doing odd jobs like being body guards. Their first assignment is to protect the author, Nenene Sumiragawa who is being threatened to be killed at her book signing. The paper sisters aren’t called that just because of their love of books, they can turn paper into weapons and whatever else they please, but each having their speciality. Nenene finds out they‘re paper sisters just like her friend who ‘s missing, Yomiko Readman and asks them for help finding her. They try to help Nenene find her friend, while solving other cases and saving the world with the power of paper.

4. Baccano(2007)

Probably the most well known but also I think one of the most under appreciated Anime, from Durarara’s creator, Baccano. I feel like most newer Anime fans won’t know this one and although it’s a beloved series by many, I still feel it’s underrated. Also another bias opinion shocker, it’s one of my absolute favorites but that’s why it’s here. It’s once again a shorter anime with only 13 episodes but it somehow manages to combine all of the storylines cohesively, it’s a wild ride full of mystery, murder, and magic that will keep you on board the entire time trying to piece everything together. Also warning it jumps around a lot so make sure to pay attention everything pieces together!.

Based in the 1930’s in the prohibition era you have several stories involving different characters going on but they‘re all connected to one thing the transcontinental train, the flying pussyfoot. Yes that’s actually the name of the train, why, still no idea but all these characters from different walks of life end up here somehow. Now to introduce some of these crazy characters, first off the goofy thieves in love Isaac and Miria, who aren’t the brightest but can steal just about anything. Lad Russo the sadistic hit man who loves to see people die, including fantasizing about killing his fiancé one day. Then you have the ones involved in gangs, all In different ones, but nonetheless involved in some sort of crime. First there’s Firo, the youngest of the Martello family and one of the immortals in the show, then there’s Jacuzzi Splot and his partner Nice, Jacuzzi is a big wimp and crybaby but will protect his loved ones with all he’s got and Nice is a bomb expert and his childhood food. Those are some of the main characters it’s such a large cast it’s hard to name and explain them all. This one is a must watch especially if you liked Durarara, jump on the hype train of this wild show.

5. Black Cat (2005)

Now quick disclaimer before I begin talking about this one, I haven’t watched this in years so it may not hold up as well as I’m remembering but when I watched it I really enjoyed it so that’s why it’s here. This was one of the earlier Anime I watched I’m pretty sure my friend showed me it but it caught my interest from the beginning. It’s not the most groundbreaking show to exist and I’ve heard that the manga is apparently better but that’s for almost every show. It’s got cool action, funny moments and a great cast of characters, plus not gonna lie I had a crush on train when I was younger. its just a fun show and definitely worth giving a watch!

Train Heartnett is an infamous cold blooded assassin who works for the organization Chronos, and because of his lack of empathy for killing he’s named Black Cat. But after a chance encounter with a bou hunter named Saya Minatsuki, they become friends and Train decided he wants to leave Chronos to pursue an honest living as a bounty Hunter. However chronos and particular his fellow member Creed Diskenth are not pleased with this and try to get Train to rejoin Chronos. Along the way Train teams up with fellow bounty hunter on the brink of broke Sven, the bio mech weapon and little girl Eve and master thief and seductress Rinslet Walker. Together they try to escape from Chronos and get enough money for their next .

6. Arakawa Under The Bridge(2010)

Where do I begin with this one first off, this is one of the weirdest Anime I’ve ever seen but just like Azumanga Daioh that’s what make it so good. Beautifully animated by Studio Shaft with some of the most colorful and visually appealing animation I’ve seen, it’s pure eye candy. it’s equally as strange as it is hilarious and it’s just a fun time that’s not meant to be taken seriously. So if you want a good laugh and something thats truly one of a kind in story and characters give this crazy show a shot.

The show begins with one of our main characters Kou Ichinomiya getting stuck by his underwear on a bridge by some kids, he falls into the river and is saved by a mysterious girl. Kou is the son of a wealthy businessman and his life motto is to not be indebted to anyone, so when he’s saved by this girl he asks what he can do. He finds out that her name is Nino and what she wants is to fall in love, so she asks Kou to be her boyfriend. At first Nino seems like a regular girl but she claims to be an alien from Venus and lives in a box under the bridge, not wanting to be in debt Kou agrees and begins living under the bridge with Nino. However Nino isn’t the only one who lives under the bridge there are many other strange characters like hoshi, the aspiring musician who wears a star on his head, and the captain who’s a human in a kappa suit. I highly suggest watching this strange sci-fi romantic comedy for something different and fun to watch.

7. 91 Days (2016)

The newest Anime on this list so far, see I told you it wouldn’t be only old ones!, this is also the darkest Anime on this list so far. This has been highly overlooked since it’s release in 2016, it reminds me of baccano and in parts like death note. If you like mafia movies or just a dark gritty story with some light hearted moments, it s short show but nothing is rushed and it’s solid from front to back and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Just like Baccano, 91 Days takes place in the prohibition era in a town called Lawless where crime is rampant and illegal alcohol sales are thriving. In this town our protagonist Aviicio‘s family is killed by one of the mafia families, The Vanetti Family. He receives a mysterious anonymous letter telling him to return to lawless to infiltrate The Vanetti Family. He tries to befriend the families son Nero, to find an opportunity for revenge, the story keep you constantly guessing if they’ve truly become friends or if he’ll kill him. Please watch this wonderful mafia crime drama of friend vs foe.

8. Yamada Kun and The Seven Witches (2015)

This is one of the ones that I still really want to read the manga for because I just couldn’t get enough of it! i’m still hoping for a sequel one day! The premise of body swapping has been done many times in Anime and cinema as a whole but this one adds a unique enough of a twist to keep it fresh and interesting. I looked forward to watching this weekly each week meeting a learning about each new witch and learning what power they had.

Ryuu Yamada is a high school delinquent who wants a fresh start at a new school, despite the intention to start with a clean slate he soon falls into old habits of laziness and getting into fights. One day he trips on the stairs which leads to an accidental kiss with fellow student Urarara Shiraishi which causes them to switch bodies. Another student Toranosuke Miyamura learns that they can switch bodies and recruits them to his Supernatural Studies club. There they learn about the other seven witches that all have different powers

9. Arslan Senki (2015-2016)

The second to last of the list comes from the creator of my all time favorite Anime Fullmetal Alchemist, while it’s a very different series and not quite as good as FMA it’s still deserves a spot on this list and deserves your time. It’s hard not to compare it to FMA but it really is it’s own thing, and it actually came out before Fullmetal, it’s a historical drama about war and strategy and a character growing into his potential. Just as Hiromu Arakawa is known for there’s still some comedic moments and some great character development and a well done story, Plus if you like this there’s two seasons so there more to enjoy.

Ok I promise from this point forward I won‘t say anything more about Fullmetal Alchemist this is about Arslan Senki, here’s the story. In the year 320 the Kingdom of Pars is at war with the neighboring kingdom Lusitania. Pars is ruled by the ruthless king Andrangoras III who has a son who’s the complete opposite of him Arslan. Although he doesn’t know how to fight Arslan tries to prove his worth by joining the battle, but things take a turn for the worst when one of the kings officials betrays him. The once prosperous Kingdom of Pars is seized, and since Arslan is the kings son he must flee to avoid capture. So he sets off with his loyal bodyguard Daryun to find allies to help take back the kingdom. Knowing that Arslan is still alive he is still faced with pursuers from other kingdoms and the head of the Lusitania army, a mysterious man with a silver mask who knows a secret that could jeopardize Arslan‘s succession to the throne. Arslan is a gentle, kind person that doesn’t enjoy fighting, he must learn to fight and protect himself and gain the courage to lead an army to regain his home.

10. Shingeki No Bahamut: Genesis (Rage of Bahamut) (2014)

Leaving one of the best for last, not to be confused with the popular series with a similar name Shingeki no Kyojin(Attack on Titan) this show is just as good. One of the first shows from one of my favorite Anime studios, Studio Mappa. I had low expectations when I heard this was a card game adaptation from a new anime studio but I decided to check it out despite that and it was the best decision. This has all the elements of a great anime, the beautiful animation, the unique characters and the compelling story and all the cool action scenes are just a plus. There is a second season too but I’ll leave that for another time, ok time to stop gushing about this wonderful show, time for the story!.

Years and years ago the ancient powerful dragon Bahamut reeked havoc on Mistarcia, a land where gods and demons lived harmoniously with humans. The gods and demons manage to seal away Bahamut with the god key and agree to split it to keep him sealed. Now that the the peace has been restored we meet the main characters and one of my favorites the orange Afro haired bounty hunters Favaro Leone. Favaro is constantly on the run from his adversary and fellow bounty hunter Kaiser Lidfard who‘s main purpose in life is to get revenge on him. One day both of their lives are thrown into chaos when they meet the mysterious girl Amira who holds half of the god key sealing Bahamut and wants help reaching the land of Helheim. I also can’t forget to mention my other favorite character and the fourth member of this unlikely crew Rita the zombie necromancer little girl she is just the definition of cool. Then there’s the characters that want to steal the god key the demon Azazel and the knight Jean D’Arc who are constantly in the characters way but you’ll find out more about them in the show. These unlikely heroes must face the threat of the battle of gods and demons, the pursuers of the god key and incoming threat of Bahamut awakening.

UNDERRATED ARTISTS & BANDS PART 1

Hello, Welcome to this weeks blog post, this week I’m talking about some music that should be in you eardrums, criminally underrated artists and bands that deserve more recognition and attention. This is not your mainstream list of artists everyone knows, but they could become your new favorite. If people like this I’ll make more parts, well I probably will make more anyways and hope people like it. So I hope you guys find some new favorites and add these to your playlists!. Also for this list it’s going to be more of the pop punk/rock and a little bit of indie mixed in there more genres next time!

1. The Technicolors 🌹

This band deserves your attention because number one, they’re one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen, I had never heard of them before when I saw them in 2015 for This Century’s last show and I was completely won over. I was won over by their stage presence, their energy and their songs. I immediately bought their ep Ultraviolet Disguise after the show And I’ve been hooked every since. To me they incorporate elements of more classic rock, infused with alternative and Brit Rock. They have a really original sound, especially with vocalist Brennan Smiley voice, plus he has one of the coolest last names!. One of the most underrated artists from the 8123 family, also if your a fan of This Century their guitarist Sean Silverman joined after they split. So do yourself a favor and add some Technicolor to your music library.( sorry for the bad pun had to do it)

2. This Century 🎹🔥

Should have been a clue since I talked about them a lot with The Technicolors, but these guys truly never got the attention they deserved. They always sounded like they could fit on the radio and should have been as popular as similar bands in their genre. I became a fan after their first album Sound of Fire, then went back to their old ep’s and I was sold on their sound. They lost me a little bit when they stayed from their pop rock sound into more of the pop side of their sound,but won me back with unfortunately their last album Soul Sucker. Their one band I’m still sad that they broke up in 2015 I saw them live a few times and met them too, always put on great shows and were really nice guys. If your a fan of 2000’s pop rock don’t miss out, it would be a loss of the century!(sorry I’m a corny person).

3. Beach Weather ☀️🏝

Sadly one of the most short lived bands on this list, they were only active for a few years and released a few ep’s. I had no idea who Beach Weather was when I saw them open for The Maine on their American Candy album cycle tour in 2015. But they were another case of falling in love with them after I saw them. They have a very bright summery sound, and if you like A Rocket to The Moon this was Nick Santino’s new band. I wish they would have been around long enough to release a full length record but glad we got what we did.

4. Peach Pit 🍑

Going more into the indie rock side of my music taste, a newer discover for me Peach Pit. The first song I heard was Sweet FA from their EP with the same name, I loved their chill, indie summer like vibe but they differentiate themselves from other bands with a sound that’s unique to them. I don’t know what it is but they somehow make super mellow music that’s still equally as catchy, and doesn’t lose your interest, you just vibe along with them. Their music is as sweet as as a peach!

5. Anarbor 🌵

Now for the last but absolutely not as all least, my favorite band of the entire list, the most underrated and under appreciated band that has always deserved better, Anarbor. Despite their name they‘re from Arizona, actually every band except for Peach Pit is (they’re from Canada!). I‘m pretty sure I became a fan sometime around 2010 around the time their first album The Words You Don’t Swallow, and after hearing their song The Brightest Green. That song came off their EP Free Your Mind and I have to say both of these releases are flawless. I’ve seen them multiple times in concert and will go see them anytime their in town and they are the nicest guys!. All these years of them being a band I’ve never understood why they weren’t bigger, their vocalist and bassist Slade Echeverria has one of my favorite voices, their songs are catchy and infectious they deserve to be huge. They have been making music since 2003, they have 3 albums, 3 EP’s and although the bands lineup has changed throughout the years they’ve been releasing singles!. If you only listen to one band from this this do yourself a favor and listen to Anarbor they deserve all the success in the world.

OXENFREE THOUGHTS/OVERVIEW & REVIEW

OVERVIEW/REVIEW

Oxenfree is a Indie,Supernatural, Adventure game made in 2016 by Night School Studios. I know I’m a little late but I just finished this gem a few weeks ago and I was hooked from the start and already want to play it again. This isn’t like other games where you have to sit through long cut scenes instead, this is a walk and talk the story continues as you play. This is also a coming of age story you play as Alex, what you make her say affects the story and outcome. The dialogue is witty and funny and you feel like you really get to know the characters as they get to know each other. I’ve never played another game like this it’s equally as unique, charming and suspenseful as this, if your a fan of Night in The Woods or Life is Strange this is the game for you. Also bonus if you like this a sequel was recently announced so nows the perfect time to play the first!.

THE PLOT

⚠️WARNING SOME SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️

Oxenfree follows five teenagers, Alex, her new step brother Jonas, her best friend Ren, his crush Nona and her best friend Clarissa. They decide to take him to Edwards island where they meet up with Nona and Clarissa despite not really being friends. To avoid boredom they decide to play truth or dare but that ends quickly after tensions rise. For a mood change Alex, Ren and Jonas decide to explore the nearby caves, and Ren tells Alex to take out the radio she brought with her. There’s a strange phenomena where the cave glows when you tune the radio to certain frequencies. Sure enough it actually works and on the third try a big light emerges from the back of the cave, curious Jonas goes to explore, with Alex following behind. Deeper into the cave they disover a glowing triangle, just like before they decide to try tuning to the radio again but this time it grows bigger and sucks them in.

Alex and Jonas get teleported to this radio tower, scared and confused they try to somehow get in contact with Ren. They make contact with Ren, and Clarissa too, so next is to search for them. This is where the game starts to take a darker turn, depending on which you choose to find first, the first possession happens. I chose to save Clarissa first so i’m not sure what happens in Ren’s timeline but in mine Clarissa becomes possessed, confirming to Alex and Jonas that they msy be dealing with ghosts.

As the story progresses you learn more about the characters pasts and relationships with each other. You also learn more about the ghosts, who they are and what they want. This is also where the time loops start to occur and you learn Clarissa isn’t the only one who gets possessed. The time loops don’t only make the characters have deja vu it sends them back to the same spot continuously as well as sending Alex back to her past memories. Alex is the only one fully aware of the time loops and if your with Jonas he continuosly gets possessed when the ghosts want to communicate.

You eventually meet up with Ren as well as Nona and Clarissa who still goes in and out of possesion. Ren devises a plan to get everyone off the island with the idea to steal the boat of the recently deceased Marie Adler. With few options they decide to try but on the way to find the boat they learn that Marie was involved with the ghosts and kept lots of secrets. You learn later that Marie and her friend wanted to help the ghosts escape the time loops, which Alex wants to do the same but also save her friends. Towards the end of the game you have to make it back to the caves to try to save your friends and the ghosts if you can. Depending on your choices you can make it out alive or possibly be stuck in a time loop forever, with so many choices you must choose wisely.

Winter Anime 2020/2021

Hello my fellow Weebs, casual Anime fans and whoever wants to get into Anime all are welcome!. So the Winter season just ended and Spring is just beginning, it was a sequel packed season as well as having some great originals. This is what I watched, what I enjoyed and didn’t enjoy as much, I’m going to split this into three parts, Non Sequels, Sequels and Random Roundup. The Random Roundup with be some other shows I watched that I just don’t have a ton to say about but still want to mention. This is going to be a long blog post, not all of my posts will be this long, but if you stick around thank you for reading, and watch more Anime!

NON-SEQUELS

Jujutsu Kaisen

My personal favorite of the season it has everything I love in Anime, lovable characters, the dopest fight scenes, beautiful animation and an interesting story. It’s one of the best newer Anime I’ve seen in a long time and an essential for any Shounen fan. Plus there’s a fighting Panda so that’s reason enough to watch it! Eagerly waiting a second season at some point! 🤞🏻

So Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular Anime right now so most people probably know what it’s about already but in case you don’t here’s a synopsis. Itadori Yuuji is a High School student and Occult Club member. When his classmate and Jujutsu Sorcerer Fushigoro Megumi warns him about a cursed item his fellow club members have he rushes to school to help them. He fights the curse and decides to swallow the cursed object, the finger of the powerful demon Sukuna. Yuuji is taken over by Sukuna but is able to regain control. He’s then approached by Jujutsu Sorcerer Goujou Satoru and others, worried that he’s a threat and he must be killed. Yuuji convinces them he can save people and help them fight curses, so they agree to let him live but keep him under observation.

2. Horimiya

One of my most anticipated Anime this season being a Manga reader(although I’m not caught up) and I can gladly say it did not disappoint. The feel good romantic comedy of the season, Horimiya faithfully follows the manga from panel to panel from what I’ve read. If you haven’t read or watched Horimiya it’s not your typical slow Shoujo it doesn’t take a whole season or series for the main couple to progress! But it’s still well paced and not rushed. It focuses more on their relationship and themselves and the sides you hide from other people. Also side note this is a different adaptation from the OVA version from 2012 Hori-San to Miyamura and it’s not required to watch that before this!.

A little bit about Horimiya, it follows the main characters Hori and Miyanura, Hori is popular and outgoing at school but at home she’s like a Mother to her younger brother Souta and focuses on chores an grocery shopping rather than normal teenage things. Then there’s Miyamura who’s perceived as being a loner and otaku but actually isn’t an otaku, he’s just shy and trying to hide his tattoos and piercings. These two different worlds collide when Souta gets lost and Miyamura, brings him back home, after that he come over regularly and the two grow closer, grow their relationship and grow as people. Horimiya also does a great job of focusing on the side characters and the friendships with them, they all have an important part to the story. So if you want something wholesome and relaxing give this a watch.

3. Kemono Jihen

The underrated gem of the season, I didn’t see that much buzz about this it’s not the best thing I’ve ever seen but it’s definitely worth a watch and deserves more attention than it got. It’s a dark supernatural Shounen with some unique story parts and it separates itself from the mainstream Shounen.

It starts in a small farming town in Japan where supernatural occurrences have been happening, Occult Detective Inugami is called in to investigate. He takes an interest in a boy named Kabane who is shunned by his fellow villagers, and asks him to help his investigation. He finds out that Kabane is the cause of the village attacks and finds out he’s part Kemono, a demon like creature that can blend in with humans. He learns this when the necklace around his neck known as the life Stone is removed and he finds out that it’s from his parents. He’s then invited to go back with Inugami to Tokyo to help his investigations and to find help find his parents. Also working alongside his other new housemates Shiki the spider demon and Akira the snow demon and delving into their stories as well.

4. Hanyou no Yashahime(Princess Half Demon)

Inuyasha fans rejoice! a new addition to the franchise has finally come!. A Spin-Off of the original series. If your expecting all of your favorites to return some of them do but the focus is shifted to Sesshomaru and Rin’s daughters Towa and Setsuna and Inuyasha and Kagome’s daughter Moroha. To be honest it’s not as good as the original but if you like Inuyasha you’ll definitely enjoy this there’s lots of good homages to the classic fantasy Anime. Also if you like this a second season has already been confirmed!

Once again set in feudal Japan, siblings Towa and Setsuna are separated as kids by a forest fire and a portal taking Towa to modern day Japan and causing Setsuna to lose her memories. Along with her memories Setsuna’s ability to dream is taken away by the dream butterfly. Towa’s memory however is still in tact and she makes her way back to feudal Japan to find Setsuna. Along with them is another character they meet the half demon, and bounty Hunter Moroha. These three have two things in common, they’re all half demons and they all have a rainbow pearl in their eye that is heavily sought out by demons. Along their journey to find the dream butterfly, they must fight off demons and gain money from bounty hunts along the way.

4. SK8 The Infinity

The last original Anime I’m going to talk about more in depth is the first sports Anime I’ve ever watched, and the very first skateboarding Anime, SK8. If you’re expecting X-Games the Anime this isn’t exactly that, it’s more flashy and full of Anime style. Another underrated show of the season that deserves more attention, it’s fun, lighthearted, and I think people that don’t typically enjoy sports Anime will like way!

Doing tricks and just skating at the skate park are still a part of the show but it’s main focus is the underground game known as S where opponents face off to get to the finish line first by any means necessary. The game of S is known only to the skaters and those who know, but the skaters use a different alias while skating as well as their own custom skateboards. So then there’s these characters, our mains Reki, an outgoing upbeat character who teachers the other main character Langa how to skate. Langa comes to Japan from Canada and use to be a snowboarder, he finds Reki and becomes interested in skateboarding. He quickly learns tricks and becomes the new rookie of S. This leads to the over dramatic veteran Adam to take an interest in him to the point of obsession. Langa continues to get better, meets new friends and competitors and trains to take down the king Adam.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 1

If you haven’t heard of Attack on Titan then you’ve been living under a rock it’s been one of the biggest Anime’s since it came out in 2013 and brought in a lot of new Anime fans, even people who have never watched Anime know of Attack on Titan. If you haven’t seen any Attack on Titan stop what your doing and go watch it, all of it it’s required to watch for the newest season to make sense!. Now that you’ve hopefully watched everything up to this point I can talk a little bit about the newest season, I’m still going to keep it relatively spoiler free though just in case. This season goes more in depth into the complicated relationship between Marley and Eldia, and is for the most part takes place in the future so you get to see what happens to the survey corps scouts. This season is explosive and as crazy as expected for the ending of Attack on Titan is and I can’t wait to see how it ends.

2. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars

Another anticipated sequel of the season is Dr. Stone, where the science experiments continue and the battle with the strongest high school primate comes to an end. Dr. Stone picks up where it left off last season with more experiments, trying to bring back the petrified stone people, and the incoming threat of the Tsukasa Empire. It also continues to separate itself from the traditional Shounen with its unique premise and looking forward to the third confirmed!.

While Dr. Stone is pretty popular it’s not quite on the same popularity level as Attack On Titan so for those that don’t know here’s a quick scientific synopsis. The world is mysteriously turned to Stone one and Japan is left to ruins for decades, until one day people start waking up from the Stone. One of those people is the teenage genius Senku who finds an ancient civilization of people unaware of the modern world. Senku teaches them inventions of the modern world using ancient technology and strives to find a way to revive every person who’s been turned to Stone. While another man was revived is known as the stronger high school primate Tsukasa who shares a different view from Senku want to destroy all the adult statues so the new world will only consist of the younger generation.

3. The Promised Neverland Season 2

My most anticipated sequel other than Attack on Titan and unfortunately just gonna break it here, the most disappointing. I loved the first season so much, it was suspenseful, well written,and I was dying for the next season to come out after the cliffhanger at the end. But 🚨 SPOILER ALERT🚨 if you have not caught up or haven’t seen the first season DO NOT read this!!!! Sorry for the long rant ahead but it needs to be done! Word of advice just go read the manga save your time.

Season two picks up after the escape from Gracefield with a large group of the kids making it out to flee into the demon filled world. Lead by Emma and Ray they are forced to fend for themselves, continuing running from Gracefield and demons, figuring it all out as they go. With the help from a mysterious pen from a man known as William Minerva that helps them on their journey with a holographic map. On their journey they are attacked by a large demon and are saved by two demons, Sonju and Mujikaeho don’t eat humans. This is where I thought the season was going to be really great but this is when the show started to decline in quality. It starts to get rushed when they find out Norman is alive and I found out that took out a big chunk of the manga which it felt like. Some Anime can get away with doing that but here it’s noticeable and it just gets worse. There’s the whole thing with the plan to kill the demons, then Emma stopping Norman, then they break back into Gracefield to save the children. All of this really important story development crammed into just a few episodes and then that ending oh god that ending is a train wreck. They make their way to the human world and save all the Gracefield kids with little problems, show years worth of story in a few still frame shots, all of the kids living happily in the human world, then Emma and Ray just show up years later with no explanation for a neat happy ending. There’s no way they can save this Anime adaptation and I’m not looking forward to the new season I’m just gonna go read the manga.

4. Re:Zero Season 2 Part 2

This season had so many shows I was excited about and once again this is another one that I was of really stoked for and luckily unlike The Promised Neverland delivered on the next season. I personally enjoyed this second part more than the first half, I feel like the balance of action and story was better and there was a lot of really good character development and of course still lots of gore!. This season highlighted more of the characters past, answered a lot of questions and wrapped up plot lines!

If you haven’t watched Re:Zero it s a dark fantasy Isekai, that in my opinion separates itself from the typical recycled Isekai troupes. Subaru the shut in Otaku is suddenly transported to a fantasy world but here’s where the twist comes, Subaru meets a mysterious women who stabs him he should be dead but then he wakes realizing he can’t die and has a power which he calls return from death. He finds that this is linked to the witches cult and that he can go back in time to try to stop events and people from dying but it doesn’t always work out thus beginning Subaru’s suffering. I don’t want to spoil too much because it’s best going in without knowing too much! so prepare yourself for gore and more! And probably crying and screaming along with Subaru too.

5. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2

The last sequel on this blog post and another exception to the Isekai genre for me is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. The second season picks up where it left off Rimuru is still the leader of the Goblin village, making negotiations and treaties with different nations and fighting threats that come his way. This was another enjoyable season for me it’s lighthearted but still adds action and has its darker moments. Rimuru has to go to extra lengths to protect his people this season and I’m excited to see where it goes with the next.

Ok, Slime Synopsis time, A man gets stabbed after trying to save his co-worker he is then reincarnated as you guessed it a Slime. He wakes up in a cave realized this is what he is now so he explores finds and befriends a dragon and has this robot like voice in his head now that tells him his skills and any information he needs to know and gains the new name Rimuru Tempest. He learns how to use his new non human body, although he can transform into looking like one, and he gains the respect of this worlds, goblins, demons and monsters. He gives them names, gives them jobs and becomes the ruler of a large nation, fighting threats while trying to keep things together and learning to adapt to his new reincarnated life.

Random Roundup

1. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Gou- I was so excited for a new Higurashi adaptation after being a big fan of the original but this is a poor adaptation, too much emphasis on the slice of life parts and less on the horror, the characters felt annoying in this one. I suggest sticking to the original, this was a big disappointment

2. Wonder Egg Priority: Beautiful animation and fight scenes reminiscent of Madoka Magica and some really deep psychological themes and topics Incorporated. Worth watching but is definitely confusing I still didn’t quite understand everything but still enjoyed it

3. Non Non Biyori Nonstop- Third season of Non Non Biyori, exactly the same as the other seasons just laid back, following the lives of the characters in a rural farm town, a great anime to just relax and turn your brain off too and be cozy. If you like the other season you’ll like this!

4. Cells at Work!!- Second season of Cells at Work, although I enjoyed the first season this one pretty much copies the first season, added some annoying new characters, in this case it wasn’t good that it was similar to the first wasn’t bad but probably won’t watch a third season if there is one.

5. Cells at Work: Code Black- The Spin-Off of Cells at Work, this time with a bad host body that drinks, smokes anything you can think of that’s bad for the body that causes numerous problems for the cells. It’s still nothing amazing and although it still follows a lot of similarities to the original I enjoyed this one more and would probably watch another season.
