For anyone that needs to hear this today. And for anyone feeling concerned or vulnerable about their place in this fandom at times, or anywhere else that brings you immense joy:
Nobody has the right to make you feel like your contribution to what you enjoy doing isn't valid. That your contribution is pointless or worthless - no matter how small or big that contribution may be percieved by you, or anyone else. Life is not a competition.
Nobody has the right to make you feel like you don't count. Your worth is more than numbers.
Nobody has the right to make you feel insecure about doing what you love. What you like. What you take pride in. What you do to feel good. What you do for fun. What you do to cope. What you do to escape. They don't know your story.
Nobody has the right to make you feel small about the big thing(s) that matter most to you. What matters to you is important.
Nobody has the right to silence your enthusiasm, your creativity, your outlet. Your passion. You should never be silenced. Shout it from the rooftops.
Nobody has the right to violate your mental well-being with poisonous words. To bully, belittle, poke fun of or be mean. This stems from self-hatred and jealousy. All issues that are not caused by you.
Nobody has the right to make you feel like giving up. To question your motive for even beginning. Are you really going to let someone else - a faceless someone - take this from you?
Nobody has the right to judge you without getting to know you first. They don't know you. They don't know how strong and great you are.
Nobody has the right.
Nobody.
They are nobody. You are somebody.
Count them. There are 11 nobody's here trying to bring you down. They don't matter because there is only 1 YOU. And you are exceptional.
Live your truth, bub. No matter how you choose to express it.
Because it's fucking glorious.

left and right...
... aren't the only two directions.
making a choice different from the majority doesn't make you strange, or weird, or an imposter.
it makes you different. different is good ✨

"If other people do not understand our behavior—so what? Their request that we must only do what they understand is an attempt to dictate to us. If this is being "asocial" or "irrational" in their eyes, so be it. Mostly they resent our freedom and our courage to be ourselves. We owe nobody an explanation or an accounting, as long as our acts do not hurt or infringe on them. How many lives have been ruined by this need to "explain," which usually implies that the explanation be "understood," i.e. approved. Let your deeds be judged, and from your deeds, your real intentions, but know that a free person owes an explanation only to himself—to his reason and his conscience—and to the few who may have a justified claim for explanation."
~ Erich Fromm, The Art of Being
