Part 1

Finally !! Punchline origin time !!

I've been wanting to talk about her for a bit, but I wanted to make her intro a little fun, since she's an important little lady. I'm sick right now though so I couldn't do anything too crazy, unfortunately. ANYWAY !

So, if you remember in Joker's origin how I mentioned that she had a daughter that was eventually taken by CPS - Alexis Kaye is that daughter! So in my AU, Punchline isn't a weird Harley Quinn replacement, but actually the kid of the Joker who DESPERATELY wants her parent's attention and praise. Even if that parent is a supercriminal

Alex grew up in Gotham, being adopted by a family pretty quick since she was still really young. Her parents attempted to give her a stable life and their affection, but there was always that lingering fear that she might turn out like the Joker. They shared the same blood - and even looked incredibly similar - there was always the chance. It made them a little scared of her, and that wasn't helped by the fact that Alex could still remember her mother

In fact, Alex was determined to know more about the Joker. She absorbed any and all information she could get her hands on, trying to connect the dots between the person she knew and the person committing these crimes. Her obsession with the Joker would interfere with her life, her schoolwork, her jobs; anything and everything that could have led her down a better, normal path. Eventually, she wondered what would happen if she went and met the Joker. Alex was acutely aware that her parents could never full accept her - maybe her biological parent would be more accepting?

Obviously, he wasn't. After being jumped by the members of Joker's gang, teleported down into a basement, and finally face-to-face with her mother for the first time in nearly two decades, the only thing Alex wants is for the Joker to hear her out. Except, he seems to completely deny the idea that he could even have any children out there

Nevermind the fact that Alex did a DNA test, just in case, and they're 100%, without a doubt, related. The Joker wants nothing to do with her, unless she's willing to work for her

And so, out of desperation, Alex agrees. She'll be Punchline if it means she'll get a hint of the love she felt when she was a kid. She'll kill, and maim, and destroy, and she'll do it with a smile!

What if, and this completely hypothetical, Junji Ito made a psychological/gore-fest horror manga for Red Hood? Hey, I just saw the post about Bruce's supposed adoption addiction and I had to laugh. But it reminds me of something that I've had on my mind for a while. Are there any fics where Bruce has/adopts a kid who Doesn't want to fight? Like, they are more than happy to do work for WE, or try to become a doctor (leading Bruce to keep an Extremely Close Eye on them and their schoolmates, just waiting for the next medical student to snap) or something. Like, the kid knows about the Family Business and will accept Self Defense and Advanced Escape Skills but doesn't want to roam the streets? Or if they decide to take after Alfred, helping the family keep going behind the scenes or something. I've been playing with the idea myself but I'd like to know if you or your followers know any good fics about this?

I've seen posts talk about it and I'm sure fics exist but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Any help friends?

Note-My characters may not be like the original dc universe as i haven't watched/read the dc universe .Everything i know is from many fanfics that i have read .hope y'all enjoy it.

Marinette had to go to Gotham. Now you would think why are we even talking about this well the thing is tom isn't her biological father he is her step dad. Well who is her biological father you ask none other than Bruce Wayne. And the problem you see is that till she was 5 she lived with her father but on her 6th birthday he dropped her at her mother's house and never returned.

6 year old Marinette thought her father hated her and that is why he didn't want her there. Marinette started living with her mother and found out that she liked it here in paris with her mother and step dad.

Now she is 22 a successful designer and singer known as MDC and Nettie and her dad (that is her legal guardian jagged stone)was doing a concert in gotham and wanted her to be there.Now you might ask how this happened. Well liela rossi happened,when she was in high school everyone liked her because of her personality and behaviour but then this liar came and started telling lies and her classmates the bunch of morons that they are believed the liar over their friend even though many of them knew her from childhood. they started ignoring her and calling her mean things. At first marinette was very hurt first her father and now her friends. The only one that knew that the liar was lying was her ex crush and he advised her to take the high road the coward that he was.

So after her ex moronic friends started ignoring her she had much free time and started her own bussiness at first she didn't have many customers as the website was started by a newbie but then jagged stone announced that his personal designer was MDC and thus her business started blowing/blossoming this was 4 years before.

Somehow her classmates got to her parents and worse they believed it and told her to leave their house as a bully and someone who had disgraced them wasn't their daughter . This was the last straw for Marinette as everyone she had loved had left her except her friend Luka, jagged stone and penny Jagged's assistance .Marinette packed her stuff there wasn't much as she had bought a studio after her business had skyrocketed so she took the few things she had and left as she was leaving Sabine and Tom looked at her and for the first time saw that Marinette wasn't showing any emotion and was wearing something which had no pink at all and her hair was in a french braid she left without saying anything.

After a month of leaving her home jagged returned to paris as he was doing a tour and when he asked mari where to come to collect his clothes she gave him a different address which wasn't the bakery now jagged didn't know about liela rossi as mari didn't want to burden him but as jagged care for marinette as a daughter he knew there was something amiss in her life and he was waiting for her to tell him what it was.

When he reached the address mari opened the door and let him in as he was looking around he saw there was a kitchen and a room and studio he asked her,"blueberry are you living here?"

"u-um yes i am" she replied looking nervous.

Superfam sexuality headcanons (I need to stop procrastinating):

Clark: Token straight of both the league but also his own family. Does support them all though + has intense bi wife energy

Lois: Bisexual. Had a crush on both catwoman and wonder woman for the longest time before getting together with Clark. Would have still 100% suggested a threesome with Diana if she knew it wouldn't make Clark uncomfortable.

Jon: Bisexual. That's just canon.

Kon: Bisexual. Thats not canon but should be.

Kara: Lesbian, although it took her a while to realize that she wasn't into men.

Natasha: Lesbian (canon), would have also been poly is DC editorial wasn't a bunch of cowards.

John Henry: Another straight man because Clark was lonely but I can also see him and Lana being bi4bi.

Lana Lang: bi as well. She used to have a crush on Lois still does.

Jimmy Olsen: He has had canon girlfriends but I still view him as gay and ace.

Bonus Lex Luthor: extremely closeted gay man, yet it's still somehow obvious to everybody else, except Clark.

Bonus bonus the new gods: I refuse to believe that the notion of sexuality exists in the fourth world but Barda and Scott are bi4bi, Orion is also bi, Lightray is gay, Metron is aroace. Also Grail is bi, leaving Kalibak the sole token straight in his family (Steppenwolf was canonically gay in the Harley Quinn show and as for Darkseid... I also refuse to believe that a straight man (entiry?) would try to conquer the universe in a mini skirt and thigh high boots)

I may have already made a post about this but I don't think I have so I thought I'd take the chance. I have these rants or thoughts in my head and sometimes I just have to get them down in writing or I'll be playing it in my head all day lol

I feel like the One Tree Hill writers room went to work and the first thing they said was "This show is not going to be Dawson's Creek and we are going to make that clear at every turn."

The first thing I think about is the Lucas and Haley friendship. They even went out of there way to separate Lucas/Haley from Dawson/Joey by making Haley make disparaging jokes about Dawson and Joey in the Pilot. I really respect the decision to make Lucas and Haley only friends and they never wavered from that. There was never even a second when they hinted that their relationship could be more than friends.

In some ways Nathan and Haley are equivalent from Pacey and Joey in One Tree Hill and they made the decision of getting Nathan and Haley together and then never really breaking them up. Unlike the Pacey and Joey model where there was the stupid love triangle with Dawson and they broke them up and got them together and broke them up again. Pacey and Joey really deserved better writers. Pacey and Joey have some of the best chemistry in TV and the writers did not know how to utilize that treasure.

The female friendships are absolutely atrocious in Dawson's Creek. I mean is there really a female friendship? I mean I guess Jen and Joey but even that was littered with tension most of the time and even after they buried the hatchet Joey would put men above Jen all the time. Like when she started dating the guy who cheated on Jen and then when Jen tried to help her she was really mean to Jen. I blame the writers for that. That is atrocious! Write better female friendships you cowards. In One Tree Hill, the friendships certainly have their ups and downs but you have Haley and Brooke, Brooke and Peyton, Haley and Peyton, Deb and Karen. Every woman on the show has at least one really great female friendship.

The fact that OTH never killed off any of the original teenage characters as in Nathan, Haley, Brooke, Lucas, Peyton, Skills, Mouth. Dawson's Creek just had to be assholes and kill off Jen in the last episode. But I really think giving all of them happy endings was really a concerted effort to be different from Dawson's Creek. And the reason I believe that is that they even brought on James Van Der Beek in a small role where he played a director... kind of a wink to his character in DC and he's talking to Lucas about his book that's going to be turned into a movie. It's something that's so similar to DC. Both Dawson and Lucas wrote books, movies, or TV shows about their lives. James' character has this to say "All right, clear your head, all right? What if Haley... Dies? I'm saying think about it. People love that stuff." You can tell that sometimes the writers are poking fun at some of the Dawson's Creek writing choices and I fully support it lol

The writers on One Tree Hill weren't always great and there was certainly one completely rotten apple in that bunch... cough M*** S****** cough but it really seemed like they went into writing the show with the intentions that it was gonna be better than Dawson's Creek in every way. Now if only there could have been a Dawson's Creek/One Tree Hill crossover and we could have seen Pacey and Joey show up in OTH then it would have been perfect lol

Both couples are famously on and off (well johnzee actually isn’t but fan reputation has declared them on and off so) and love each other so much despite mutual heartbreak. ⚠️ Content warning for parental abuse

Section 1: Her Parents and Gramps

Koriand’r was sold into slavery (some versions she was sold as a child), was experimented on, and is often taken advantaged of due to her kindness.

Dick witnessed both of his parents die, he became a vigilante when he was 10, was physical/mentally/emotionally abused by his adopted father, and he watched Blüdhaven explode.

Bruce watched his parents die, failed to save his son from dying, and struggles with his mental health to the point where all of his relationships have fallen apart at least once.

I’d go on with each member of the Batfam but that would take all day. I picked these three because I feel like these three had the most influence on Mar’i (not to say there wasn’t anyone else who influenced her)

With how these events affected these characters and their relationships, it makes me wonder how it would affect their relationship with Mar’i.

We actually saw Mar’i struggle with her fear of death because of her family’s history with death. Perhaps this could be something to start with.

A trait she shares with Bruce and Dick is obsessive perfectionism because all three of them feel burdened with the task to save everyone. This has resulted in most of Bruce’s relationships to deteriorate, and in Dicks perfectionism. Poor Mar’i would most likely pick up something similar in her life.

Section 2: Breaking the Cycle

Something that isn’t talked about much is how Bruce’s abuse affected Dick and his overall family. If you don’t believe me when I say Bruce abused Dick…

(Unfortunately, Dick isn’t his only victim and Bruce also engages in other types of abuse. Not to mention there are more examples of Bruce hitting Dick and being an overall messy parent and putting Dick through parentification)

Seeing how Bruce’s abuse affected Dick, it makes me wonder how it would affect Mar’i and how he would hurt her. Would he put her through a similar parentification he put Dick through? Or would he do something else

Since Mar’i has some of her moms’ influence, it makes me wonder if she’d put her foot down and confront Bruce about all the terrible stuff she did to the batfam instead of excusing his behavior and blaming herself.

I think she’d be the type to tell Bruce:

“This is why your family doesn’t want to be around you. It’s not because you’re this loner who ended up getting stuck with a bunch of kids against your will, it’s because you’re an emotionally immature coward who takes your pain out on others. How is it you can figure out the biggest mysteries in the world, but you can’t figure out why 10 year olds aren’t good replacements for your parents or therapy!”

I just hope Mar’i breaks the cycle of abuse and perfectionism.

After all, one of Mar’is main motifs (the star) can represent the past, hope for the future, optimism, goals, and our ancestors.

In fact, he's the one to always calm him down when Alix isn't around

Rose is even stronger in this au than canon. Like, she can easily deadlift the Eiffel Tower

The second Grayson Annual is amazing because in the span of about five minutes Clark and Dick go from joyful hugging to Clark literally using Dick like a baseball bat to hit criminals in the face with, which Dick is apparently delighted to go along with. And that’s not even counting the time Clark was like, “Let’s finish cleaning these guys up and then go do whatever will annoy Batman the most.” Or the time that Clark fist-bumped baby Dick Grayson and it was the cutest thing ever:
