As a Spanish native speaker, "here goes nothing" is so fun to me. We have something similar in Spanish, "Nada que dar, todo que ganar" (literally "nothing to give, everything to win").

In English you say that when you can't do anything else, give up thinking previously, or just to give yourself a little push. It doesn't imply anything, maybe even something negative. In Spanish, on the contrary, we say that in a good way, we see it in a positive light! Eve if there's little you can do, you can still get something in return; if you have nothing left, you can't lose anything else, and can just go up.

Another example I learned recently is "como abril en Lanjaron" ("as April in Lanjaron", a city popular bc of their water and where the water runs fast when it rains) and "menos tiene el cochino en matanza" ("The son of the pig has less in a matanza", a matanza is when we kill the pigs to make ham, sausages, morcilla, chorizo, etc). The first one is basically saying that you let go, and the second one that things might be bad, but it could be worse.

There's a lot of phrases that resemble meanings and I'm honestly fascinated by it, I love learning languages <3
