AU where the real reason Ra's al Ghul has lived so long is because he's a vampire and they were just lying about the Lazarus Pits this whole time

Ra's is a vampire, Talia's a vampire, Damian's a vampire — Talia never actually dunked Jason in the Pit, she bit him.

They're all lying liars who lie and the League of Assassins is full of their thralls

Why lie? Because everyone knows about vampires and their weakenesses and this way no one will ever think to to use silver or garlic or wooden stakes against any of the al Ghuls

Damian isn't the son of the bat.

He is the son of the Demon, however , a Pit Demon, to be specific. One Ra's had imprisoned deep below Nanda Parbat.

The wails of this eldritch horror could be heard most nights.

It sounds haunt all those who hear it, not many are aware the Demon is crying for the babe stolen from from it years ago.

Or Damian is actually Elritch Danny's son, who Ra's decided to try and raise as a weapon.

Project R au except Danny is not the clone.

Instead Danny gets Ras Al Ghuls attention after overhearing that the baby in the tube was made from a bunch of "Robins/detectives" and a little of Phantom himself and looks the guy in the eye before using his intangibility to grab the baby-still not breaking eye contact- and saying, "Mine now." before disappearing.

Danny comes home and explains the situation to his sister and parents and they welcome the new baby into the family with open arms. When asked why they took dna from Danny, Jack immediately jumped in with, "Because we're Fentons!" As if that was all the reason needed.

Elsewhere Ras tells the bats about the clonenapping, conveniently leaving out the part about Phantom also being one of the babys dads. The bats go a little crazy trying to find out where thier baby is and why some no name villian (cause thats what they believe he is due to what little media coverage Amity Park has on him) wants with thier baby.

Then they learn about the ghost thing and then the research. At first they didn't believe it because they had dealt with ghosts before and they were nothing like that. But the more they looked the more they realized these weren't the kind of ghosts they were used to...

Danyal Al Ghul had died long ago. Not even the Pits could ressurect the fallen heir, and therefore Damian Al Ghul inherited the title.

Damian had never seemed to effected by his beloved brothers death, and Ra's had seen that as an advantage, seen Damian as stronger, as unemotional. Damian became the perfect child, and Danyal was left to be forgotten.

Except for the fact Danyal's ghost floated behind Damian all the time, like intangible and invisible, but unable to turn human.

The reason Damian was never effected was because his brother stuck by his side constantly, even after death, helping him, comforting him, as a ghost.

Damain never told anyone, he didn't have any evidence beside his word, which would be taken as the words of a mad man and not a becoming heir to the Demon Head.

So, Bruce never learned. He never knew about his second son, one who had died long ago, and one who had stuck by Damian's side through all of his adventures.

Soon enough, Danyal starts to manifest his usual gallery of powers, and it stars to alert the family.

"Why is there a hole in the wall?" Bruce would ask.

Damian would scramble for an excuse as quick as he humanly can, knowing his brother's powers as Danyal sulked next to him, "I was painting."

"WHY IS MY ENTIRE ROOM FROZEN SOILD?!" Jason would yell.

"Your window was left open, Todd."

"IT'S MAY!"

"What the-- why is my skateboard stuck in the wall?!" Tim.

Danyal buried his head in his hands.

"an art project."

Talking about the Supers trying to find ways to keep their Bats alive just makes me think of how sad but funny it'd be.

They take out a LOA base and find a Lazarus pit in it and while the Bats are trying to figure out the best way to destroy it the Supers are all like oh!

Oh no!!! Let us handle that for you!!!! You don't need to worry! We'll take care of it!

Listen they're looking for other options, but that one's right there! And no one even owns it anymore! If theyre careful they might even be able to move it to the fortress or something so the bats won't even have to know

(also just the idea that as the bats get older they nab theirs and dunk them when they get hurt, always when they're unconscious or something so they can't argue)

A strange mix of disregarding their autonomy and complete devotion and respect because the idea of losing them is too much for any of the supers. Not when the Bats are their closest ties, are the ones who see them for who they are and still see the humanity they've clung to.

Exactly. Basically “I respect everything about you and your autonomy except for the fact that you’re not going to live forever, which is clearly a problem.”

Clark Kent 🤝 Ra’s al Ghul: dunking Bruce Wayne (and possibly his kids) into a Lazarus Pit whether they want it or not.

All Al Ghuls must Die:

Danny is related to the Bat family in a different way: He is Ra’s Al Ghul father or grandfather.(If you include or exclude Lord Deadman)

Danny during a job for Clockwork, Danny travels back in time and meets Ra’s Al Ghul’s mother or grandmother.

They start a relationship and a baby Ra’s is born. Danny during the time period he is in, actually creates a group to protect the Earth from destroying itself calling it the league of Shadows meant to protect humanity.

Danny is actually the protector of the pits as he was the first ones to discover them. He wrote about them in a journal. He knows that these pits are excess ectoplasm leaking through a rift in the Ghost Zone and know how many spirits would love to come back in the living world.

Basically, Danny forbids anyone who isn’t on the verge of death to use these pits as he know that these pits will twist someone’s mind up and give them liminality as well as slight healing and immortality. At some point Ras ‘ mother dies of old age or disappears and Danny has disappeared back into the timeline.

Ra’s discovers his father’s journal and decides to exploit his knowledge to insure he stays in power. He kills all of his father’s loyal followers and erases his father’s legacy from the LOS, rebranding that he created the league.

(Those loyal Followers of Danny’s follow him into the GZ and become his new guards once he is king.)

Years pass and dear old Ra’s has gone a little mad with power.

( Ra’s constant uses the pits, has contaminated it, and is willing to drive anyone to madness. Their treatment to keep the pits from shrinking or drying up is slowly not working anymore, and Ra's must face the eventually that he may die.)
