Ask game: Izuku and Mei are have quirks that makes them sparks from the webcomic Girl Genius (alt-world coined by author 'gaslamp fantasy'(mix of scifi steampunk and fantasy)comic where mad scientists rule the world during the 1800s). And together their going fo drag the world kicking and screaming into a scientific revolution! Expect a lot of explosion and a few rampaging monsters.(recommend looking at the wiki or watching a recap video cause the comic very long has been going on since 2002.

Bold of you to assume that I haven't been reading Girl Genius for the better part of the last decade or so. Admittedly, the series is best binged and not read on the M/W/F schedule, and I haven't binged it in a while so my memories of everything after Paris are a bit fuzzy, but that's way more than enough to get a good Madboy and Madgirl going.

Besides, Hatsume already acts like a Spark anyway.

Spark-type Quirks are a special subtype of Quirk, like Stockpile Quirks. Mutations, Emitters, and Transformations can all be Spark-types. I-Island has a secondary purpose to Quirk research: keeping Sparks away from the general public. Sparks tend to do some wacky mad science when unsupervised and it's always better to know how, exactly, they intend on bending the laws of reality.

Midoriya's specialty as a Spark is Quirks and biology. That is to say, he makes Garaki look like a hack. Replicating Quirks? That was his Spark Breakthrough. He was thirteen. I-Island scooped him up instantly. Which is good, because Sparks tend to lost sight of reality while they're working, and if All For One had pointed him, he'd have inadvertently perfected Noumu technology for him.

Hatsume by contrast is an engineer like in canon, but More. The things she build that don't explode in building-sized fireballs are truly fantastic machines.

Melissa does not have a Spark Quirk, but she's still brilliant and works as an assistant to them both from time to time. Hatsume and Midoriya both value her as a trusted friend and Chief Minion.

Both Hatsume and Midoriya attend I-Island Academy instead of UA, as part of that curriculum is to help keep them focused on not vaporizing the city with a wayward shot of their latest death ray or releasing a highly infectious mutagen strain or some world-ending bullshit. Sparks have to be stopped from doing that a lot. By this time Hatsume has some crazy machines to her name and Midoriya is bioengineering himself.

And of course, before I forget, the character sheet!

What an info dump. Honestly, I bet she’d love Girl Genius if that were even available in her time.

But more importantly, we get our first in-depth exploration into the support course and what it does. Simply put, they makes items and costumes for heroes. Seems simple, yeah?

In order to use these items, however, one needs to have a hero lisence. Testing and experiementation in the lab is fine, but out in the world... well. Then you need a special dispension after determining that yes, it really is needed in order to help handle the quirk (example: aoyama and his belt).

Students at UA can submit applications to work in the labs after school or during their free time. That Mei has so many inventions proves she’s a natural born inventor and that she never leaves the workshop. Kind of like Tony Stark when he’s got his whole... inventing binge thing happening.

Girl might or might not need an intervention.

Definitely an educational character sheet! It’s neat to get these small insights into the BNHA world, and consider what it means for the overall world and series.
