Broke: Dick hates being Batman because he’s his own vigilante and doesn’t want the responsibility of the cowl
Woke: Dick hates being Batman because he has to bulk for a few weeks beforehand in order to look convincing in the suit
I feel like Dick gets the heads up text from Bruce, groans, and turns around to hit Costco for chicken breast and greek yogurt.
Because he’s muscular as Nightwing, absolutely, but he’s not carrying as much muscle on a given day like Jason and Bruce are. He needs to be more agile than them, and as a result he’s a little leaner.
Taking on the cowl, even temporarily, means bulking up as quickly as possible. Because even if he pads the suit, the goons don’t know that. They’re still gonna hit Batman like he’s carrying the same amount of mass.
Fun fact: I found out David tennant has a podcast with a guest that cycles out each episode (it’s very good, you should go listen) and one of them has Neil in it!
You can yell at me if this is old news now but this little bit about “have a nice doomsday” and episode threes cold open is so… agh, I love it
(hearing about Neil’s writing process in general is also incredibly neat)
Can't stop thinking about how Ed says "I love you. I love you."
The way they kiss and the first "I love you" just slips out of his mouth as easy as breathing as soon as they part, like he couldn't bear letting it go unsaid even one second more. The way he puts so much emphasis on the love in the second one, like he needs Stede to know there's no doubt about it.
"I know. I know that."
And it would have been so easy for Stede's response to sound arrogant, but it doesn't. It's reassuring and sweet and exactly what Ed needed to hear, that Stede does know, that he never for one second thought that Ed wasn't capable of loving him. And Ed's face just lights up like the sun.
Job's son (Ty Tennant) shamelessly flirting at Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) in front of his dad (David Tennant) while also being the most annoying little git is everything to me
casting daniel kaluuya, a camden town native who grew up in a council estate like many members of british punk bands did, as hobie brown was so genius he really brought the kind of swagger that only british punks can bring
