When the one person in his life that ever meant anything to him shows up ten years later, he's willing to love and be loved again. But everything comes at a price.
It's A Wonderful Life, Five Hargreeves
Five x Female OC, 22,594 words, 5 chapters
Rated E for explicit sex

Love In The Time of Cholera and Coffee
Five x Female Reader-Insert, Klaus x Female Reader-Insert, Multi-Chapter work in progress
Rated E for explicit sex
Summary: You and Klaus are in a casual relationship. No ties, just sex. When you start spending a lot of time at his apartment, you somehow manage to break through his brother's prickly outer shell. He seems to like you, or at least tolerate you the best that Five can. Satoru Gojo x Reader
Tumblr media
nsfw, flirting, oral sex, fingering, praise, fem!reader
Word count: 1.2k
Tumblr media
You and Satoru have been dating for some time and now, his birthday has finally come around. And boy were you planning to make it perfect. After all, it had to be after the absolute dream of a birthday Gojo had planned for you.
You were wrapping one of the presents you had gotten for him as a notification from your phone played.
Toru ♥️
Guess what day it is~
Of course, it was him who else would it be? You let out a small chuckle as you type a response
You
Thursday?
Toru ♥️
Don't tell me you've forgotten :c
You
Ofc I haven't, I'm just kidding Toru’
Happy birthday 🎁
You two continued to text back and forth for a bit before he said he had to go take a shower. At that time you had gone back to wrapping his presents along with writing a small birthday note. While the gifts you had gotten him weren't nearly as flashy or pricey as the ones he had gotten for you on your birthday, the note that you had thrown in and what would come after it would make up for it. Once the note was finished you lace it within an envelope, gather all his gifts and neatly display them front and center on your kitchen table. Your phone buzzes again.
Toru ♥️
Soooooo
When u coming over ;)
You
I'll come over soon toru dw
Js need to prep some stuff
Toru ♥️
Ok come soon tho
I don’t want to be all alone on my birthday
:<
Tumblr media
Before driving to Gojo’s place you make sure you have everything ready. After confirming that everything was packed and ready you go into your room and change into the new mini-skirt Gojo had gotten you a week prior.
You
Coming over now
Toru ♥️
Was starting to think u wouldn't
You
I told you I had stuff to get ready
Toru ♥️
Not a good enough answer 👎
The text made you giggle as you unlocked your car to head over; Satoru really was a child trapped in a 27-year-old's body.
Upon arriving you're greeted by a very happy Gojo who opens his mouth before you can even get one foot in. “Took you long enough, I was getting so lonely.~” Rolling your eyes you step inside taking your shoes off. As you do Satoru takes notice of the large gift bag that had been attached to the side of your shoulder. “what's inside there?” he asks, already trying to peek inside it. Before he could though you quickly snatch the bag and respond.
“No peeking, you'll see soon enough” Satoru pouts as he shuts the door behind him. “I see you wearing the mini-skirt I got you,” he says in a much more flirty manner.
“Figured it'd be a good first time to wear it.” you hum as you bend over to place his gift bag on the table. Before you could turn back around, Satoru already had his hands firmly wrapped around your waist. “Keep doing stuff like that might also be the last time you wear it too.” his voice was low and was a clear warning. In which you challenge. “And why would that be Toru?~”
He leans deeper into your back, his lips lazing over your ear, with his breath going down your neck. “Oh so is that how we're playing?” his one hand starts tracing down your skirt as he teases the bottom of the trim. “Of course, I don't mind. In fact, I'd be more than happy to win against you…” his voice is dangerously quiet, and you can already feel the heat intensify between your legs.
“Satoru what abo-“ he cuts you off by pressing his finger from his other hand to your lips and hum “shhhhhh we’ll both enjoy this princess don’t worry.~” his hand then continues slipping further, till it rests under your skirt, his fingers teasing your panties. “I wonder, you're wearing the underwear I got you too?~” your cheeks flash red, giving him all he needed. “Wow I guess you really are eager to please me on my special day aren’t you?~” his fingers curl up in your underwear feeling your wet slick that had already been dripping out of your cunt.
As his fingers continue to explore he rests his lips on the side of your neck. “So fucking eager for me.” his fingers draw down your panties while his other hand reaches down to your waist. As his hand traces down you breathly speak. “T-toru.”
He hums “what is it?~” his thumb starts making circles on your cilt causing you to fold further into the table. “Come on, no need to be shy now.” His thumb presses a bit harder, just enough so the tips of his finger slip inside you. In response you let out a light whimper.
Satoru starts kissing your neck while breathlessly speaking. “So sensitive for me.” He removes his thumb and instead has two fingers slowly enter inside you. “You’ve been so quiet… it’s unlike you, yah know… I want to hear you dear.~” he’s pressed up against you more as his fingers begin to scissor inside you.
As his fingers continue to move inside your drenched walls, his other free hand removes itself from your waist and motions to lean you down against the table. And you comply. “So fucking good for me yah know that?” As he praises you his fingers reach a bit too far inside you when they curl cause you to moan in pleasure. Satoru had a slightly sadistic grin as he saw how much that affected you. So he did it again, and again, and again. Making you cum multiple times.
“T-Toru please- I can’t…. Take anymore..” you shakily let out. Satoru then takes out his fingers sucking your cum off them as if it was candy. “You taste so fucking good babe you know that?” He says completely ignoring your struggled comment moments ago. As he stops sucking on his fingers he then purrs in your ear. “You know…. Just that sample of you wasn’t enough…” Satoru wanted to eat you out right there. And hey, it’s his birthday so who are you to deny him of his wish… not that you could say much right now anyways.
Gojo then helps you get up only to slam you against the couch. He lifts you up to have better access to your pussy as your legs open for him. He wasted no time leaning in under your skirt to begin a cat licking your clit. The moans you were letting out was music to his ears. “So perfect for me…” he continues to eat you out and you could feel yourself getting close. “Toru- gonna c-cu” he cuts you off with a comment of his own. “Do it for me” and just like that your cum shit onto Gojos tongue which was still logged inside you.
Once your release is calmed down Gojo removes himself from your pussy looking down upon you. You were a panting mess and he loved it. He then gives you his signature childish grin as he speaks. “Soooo, can I open my gifts now” , having somewhat of a composure now, you throw the closest pillow near you at him. “This was supposed to be after you opened your presents dummy!”
“Awe but, you know I can’t help myself around you!” You sigh laughing. “Yeah yeah, happy birthday satoru.”

Like I said, same ingredients different results
Fated mates trope with abo + taboo (last time pseudocest this time a 15 year age gap)= it’s complicated aka interesting dynamic
I was busy and missed his birthday so let’s go with Bakugou for this one.
Thinking about Alpha Bakugou never taking an interest in Omegas outside of needing someone to help with his ruts. Who thought the whole concept of courtship and all the fussing that comes with it pointless and boring.
Until he gets a new sidekick. Just 20 to his 35 years and the first Omega to ever pull his Alpha out in a salacious manner.
He knows what’s happening. It’s rarely occurring these days but he knows what a fated pull looks like and it’s exactly what he’s feeling.
He wants to ignore. Write off as a coincidence that doesn’t mean anything at all, but they seem hellbent on making it harder for him.
They refuse to wear their scent blocker.
“Forget” sweaters and jackets in the office so he feels obligated to lend his to them and when he finds theirs he can barely resist the urge to press his face into it to get his scent on it.
Simple, possibly innocent. But it escalates. They start turning off comms to test if he can pick up on them like the myths about fated mates says. And when he answers without hesitation and gets confused feedback from the others on their team that day they know their answer.
Now they’re playing a dangerous cat and mouse game because he can’t risk this, not with someone so much younger. Fate be damned.
“Bakugou—”
“We’re working, don’t—”
“Ok then, katsuki? Maybe, Alpha?”
“I’m not— don’t look at me like that, you know I can’t”
“I know you’re a coward running away from fate”
“Watch your mouth little brat, I’m still your boss”
“If you’re a real Alpha, make me”
This isn’t new. They challenge him like this every time he calls them and tries to reason with them, but this time. He didn’t want to fight it. He wanted his Omega no matter the ramifications this’ll have

Writing Patterns
I was tagged by @geekymoviemom - thank you!
Rules: list the first line of your last 10 posted fics and see if there’s a pattern.
(1) A Taste of Home Bughead Coffee Shop AU
“Wait, what?” Betty snapped her attention to the conversation happening in front of her. “You’re not going to be here this summer?”
(2) We're Worth It Sherlolly, Canon Divergent, Therapy Fic (Part of a series)
Sherlock watched Molly apprehensively as she got ready for bed. Mary had been on edge during Rosie’s birthday party and Molly hadn’t been much better. He felt like all of them were walking on eggshells, simply waiting for the other shoe to drop. But on what exactly, he couldn’t say.
(3) I can try Everlark, "This would have happened anyway" 2022 Challenge
Katniss sighed as she looked out the window. She closed her eyes and wished to be in the woods or the meadow, reading or working on a new hunting trap. NOT stuck in history class being reminded for the millionth time how fortunate they were to be living in a time after The Hunger Games.
(4) The Camping Set Up, Everlark 4th of July, AU
“I can’t believe you’re ditching me!” Katniss snapped as she slammed the car door shut. “You suck!” she spat through the open window.
(5) Temperamental Sherlollicon 2021 Flash Fic: John and Lestrade, Fairground, ABO, Temperamental Personalities
Lestrade had gotten used to his position in life. He had long come to terms with the fact that he would never make an Omega his. In fact, in his line of work he kind of enjoyed being a beta, especially when calls were made on Alphas and he got to make an arrest…it was the most satisfying thing, slapping the cuffs an angry Alpha.
(6) A Holiday Sherlock and Molly are finally on their honeymoon. Just a fluffy little follow up to Here Be Dragons.
Sherlock rolled over and smiled at his sleeping wife. Wife. I like how that sounds. He ran his hand over her stomach and lifted the sheet so he could press several kisses there.
(7) This is real...? Married Everlark, The sequel to The P.A.N.E.M. Initiative.
Katniss pulled the comforter tighter around herself in a futile attempt to hold on to the last bit of sleep. The sound of the shower running reached her ears and she slid a hand to Peeta’s side of the bed, still warm – he had just gotten up. Rubbing her face, she quickly slipped out of bed and tipped toed to the bathroom.
(8) "I think we understand each other better now." Sherlock is engaged to Molly Hooper and Mycroft is in love with Molly Hooper. Neither wants to talk about it but now they have to work it out.
Sherlock sat with his elbows on the table and hands steepled against his chin, staring at Mycroft. Mycroft stared right back.
(9) Saving Her Time Mina has a date and is unable to get out of the house before introducing him to her father and uncle.
“Hey Uncle Myke!” Mina smiled as she skipped down the stairs and into the living room. “I didn’t know you were coming over today.”
(10) Isn't this just being a father? Sherlock and Mina spend the afternoon together (set a couple of weeks after Isn't She Beautiful)
“Sherlock?” He could hear the worry in Molly’s voice.
“Mhm?” he hummed from under the bedsheets.

November Rain (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Characters: Alpha!Dean x Omega!Reader
Word Count: 3001
Warnings: A/B/O Dynamics, Smut, Unprotected Sex, Angst, Violence Against the Reader, Swearing, Bigotry
Summary:  After a hunt goes awry, Dean and the reader spend the night together, but was it all a mistake?
A/N:  This is my first A/B/O fic, written for @dr-dean‘s A/B/O Challenge (Happy Birthday!!).  I’ve always wanted to write one of these, so thank you so much for breaking me out of my shell.  And thank you @notnaturalanahi, for getting me out of my funk and inspired to write this, not to mention betaing it for me.  The prompt was November Rain by Guns n’Roses (one of my favorite songs, by my favorite band.)  Written using @kittenofdoomage‘s A/B/O Rules.  It got a little too long, so I’m splitting it up into two parts.
***Please do not repost my work without my knowledge or consent.  Even if you are giving me credit, please do not repost my work.***
The day you met Dean Winchester you knew he belonged to you.
It wasn’t the earth shattering electricity you’d heard True Bonds conveyed when mates touched.  It was in a smile, in a glance, in the warm, comforting knowledge that he was yours.  Just for you.
Since then, loving him had been as easy as breathing, but being with him was considerably harder.  If Dean had felt the call, he never showed it.  He worked beside you, treated you like family, but never made an advance.  And that was the true challenge of your situation, and the true burden of being an unmated Omega.
“I’ll have you know, I’m great company to most people,” Dean said, shaking you out of your thoughts.
“I’ve heard that, too.  I haven’t experienced it though,” you teased him from across the table, taking a sip of your cold coffee.  “And why isn’t Sam doing this with you?”
Dean shrugged, looking over the case file.
“I wanted some time alone.”
You tossed your crumpled napkin at him.
“And what am I?  Scenery?”  You said, feigning anger.  Dean threw the napkin back at you.
“You would make a very pretty decoration,” he teased, laughing when you scowled at him.  “Being with you is like being alone,” he explained.  You raised an eyebrow and his demeanor changed.  “It’s just easier with you around.  It’s like being by myself.  Like I don’t have to try to-,” he shrugged.
You reached across the table, squeezing his hand for a moment.
“It’s because of your winning personality, isn’t it,” you said lightly, to cut through the tension that permeated the air.  “I’m the only one that can spend time with you without wanting to murder you?”  Dean chuckled, pulling out his wallet to pay for the coffees.
“Something like that,” he said before seamlessly slipping back into work.  “I’m thinking we go talk to the local PD.”   You shook your head, swallowing down a sip of coffee before you could speak.
“No can do,” you said, pulling a page from his file.
“Why not?”  Dean asked, peering at you from over the paper.  You snorted.
“It must be a luxury to not think about being an Alpha all the time,” you said.  “We are here,” you pointed to the state on the map, as if you were teaching a child.
“Yes,” Dean said, playing along.  “Why does that matter?”
“You know,” you prompted.  Dean shook his head.  “It’s notorious for not upholding federal Omega Equality laws.”  Dean opened his mouth and nodded.
All the sent blockers and suppressants in the world wouldn’t change your biology and you knew perfectly well there was no way the FBI would sent an unmated Omega on this assignment.
“Oh,” Dean said solemnly, his brow knitted together.
“I’m going to check out where they found the bodies,” you said, picking up your jacket.  “I’ll meet you at the motel later.”
“I’m not sure this is such a good idea,” Dean said, his voice thick with concern.  “Maybe you should hang back in the room, do a little more research.”  You scoffed, pulling on your coat.
“It’s a werewolf, Dean.  What more needs researched?”
“I don’t like this,” he said resolutely.  You rolled your eyes.
“You can’t use that Alpha voice on me, Dean,” you scoffed.
“Y/N,” Dean warned.
“I’ll text you,” you called, already out the door.
When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained But darlin' when I hold you Don't you know I feel the same
You surveyed the area: an abandoned sawmill, rotting logs still bobbing in the lake.  It looked placid enough, no signs that the pack was still around.
A shiver raced down your spine and you suddenly realized just how alone you were.  The sun was beginning to set and you were miles from the motel.  You checked your phone.  No signal.
It wasn’t the werewolves you were worried about, it was Alphas, or even the occasionally bigoted Beta.  That was one of the reasons you had stayed in the Hunting life.  You could understand monsters.  It was people that bothered you.  At least you and Dean saw eye to eye on that.
“You shouldn’t be out here all alone.”  A man called to you from across the gravel parking lot.
“I’m fine.”
“I mean it.  A pretty Omega like you?  Anything could happen.”  He approached slowly.
“I said I’m fine,” you said again, fingers itching to reach for the pistol hidden under your jacket.
“What kind of Alpha do you have that lets you wander around all on your own,” he continued on as if he hadn’t heard you.  “Unless you don’t have one.”
You reached for your gun, but dread and morality made your fingers clumsy.  You weren’t accustomed to drawing your gun on people.  He was faster, striking you across the face and dragging you to the ground.
“No one loves you, bitch Omega,” he hissed in your ear, drawing your head back by your hair.  You saw the knife and shook.
“No one loves you, so you don’t really need a heart after all.  I’ll take care of that for you.  I’ll cut it right out of your chest,” he said hysterically.  Through the haze of panic, the pieces clicked into place.  You’d assumed it was werewolves because the hearts were missing.
The knife came closer.
Dean was right, you should have stayed at the motel and done more research.  If you had maybe you would have noticed that the hearts were cut out, not ripped out, and what looked like claw marks, might have actually been the bowie knife that was growing closer to your face every moment.
Dean was right.  Next time you’d do more research; you’d study the coroner’s report more carefully.  Next time you’d listen to him.  Next time-
Bang.
The crack of a gun exploded in the air, followed quickly by two more.
Bang.  Bang.
Suddenly there was no more knife.  You could think a little clearer.  You definitely need to read the coroner’s report better, and maybe establish a motive and connection between deaths.  They were all-
“Are you alright,” Dean was shouting, running towards you.  You blinked up at him owlishly.  He’d interrupted your train of thought.  If you’d stopped to think about it, you would have realized they were all unmated-
“Y/N,” he bellowed, dropping to his knees beside you.  It shook you out of your trance.
“I’m fine,” you responded, aware of how you said each consonant distinctively.
“Did he cut you,” Dean shouted.  You realized he’d asked the same question multiple times.
“No.”
“Did I hit you?”  You looked up at him puzzled.  Of course Dean had never hit you, you would have hit him if he even tried.  Realization came in another wave.
“No.”  Dean nodded.
“Wait here,” he demanded.
“It was a person,” you rasped, looking at the man, red holes gaping in his chest.  “Just a person.”
You watched with little interest as he dumped the body into the log pond.  It began to rain.
“I’ve got you,” Dean said softly as he returned to you.  Your brain was working faster now.
“Let’s get out of here,” you said, already impatiently waiting by the car.  Dean nodded, his face set in a tight grimace.
You made it half an hour down road that lead along the lake before you asked him to pull over, pacing beside the car.  You were shaking and couldn’t control the haze of cold sweat that broke out across your body.  Dean guided you to sit down in the backseat of the Impala.  You began to shake and he grasped your hands, ignoring the rain that began to fall in earnest.
“Hey, hey,” he urged you.  “You’re going to be fine.  I’ve got you.”  There was a command in his voice he used to calm your worrying, to still you enough for him to check your wounds.
And it worked.  Better than any mantra or meditation.
Your muscles relaxed beneath his fingers as if he was pouring himself into you as his hands skimmed of your arms and across your abdomen.  Being this close to him, the center of his focus, was beauty and pain.
His fingers traced up the side of your neck, hot with his intensity, leaving trails of goosebumps in their wake.  He tilted your head gently from side to side, checking your neck for injuries.  You closed your eyes, letting his breath ghost over your flesh, wondering how it would feel if he leaned closer, if he buried his teeth into your neck, sucking harshly to leave a mark.  His.  Forever.
But he continued on, fingers running through your wild hair, searching for cuts or bumps.  Finally, he cupped your face, his breath hot on your lips.  You realized he must be close to you now.  Your eyes fluttered open and your estimation was confirmed.
You dragged your gaze across his face, scouring his features: his tense jaw, the thin line his lips made pursed together, his flaring nostrils.  When you finally noticed his eyes you gasped, the unmistakable scent of him flooding into your lungs, overwhelming you, pulling you deeper.  His eyes were almost black, only a thin halo of green separating his pupil from the whites of his eyes.  He’d gone into rut.
The thought streaked through you like a comet, searing you and splitting you open from its force.  Whatever tone that had changed in your relationship in the last hour, had sent him spiraling out of control.
“Y/N,” Dean growled, a rumbling that resounded in his cavernous chest.  “Omega.”  You couldn’t help but tilt your head to the side, allowing him, begging him.
But he waited, dark eyes blazing, trembling from restraint.
“Alpha,” you whispered, and almost before the word had tumbled from your lips, he was on you.  His lips crashed against yours, his teeth scraping across your lips before his tongue plunged into the gap.  You were lost beneath him, swept along in the crashing waves of his want.
You let Dean’s momentum carry you back, tossing you down, pinned between his radiating mass and the chilled leather of the seat.  You bore his weight willingly, eagerly, pulling him closer, wanting him inside of you so badly you thought you might die from the want of it, the need of it.
“Need you,” he grunted, pulling impatiently at the hem of your shirt.  You arched your back, letting him wrench it off your body, leaving lines of fire as his mouth licked and sucked across your breasts and stomach.  His fingers dipped beneath the waste of your jeans, rubbing your clit through your sensible underwear.
“Fuck,” you gasped, scrambling to unbutton his pants.  Dean’s scent was all around you, smelling so sweet and so strong.  It was calming and exhilarating, making you feel at home and alive all at once.  He ripped your pants from your legs, pulling your panties along with them and groaned.
He paused then, staring down at you, one leg thrown over the front bench seat, your throbbing, aching sex glistening in the low light.  His eyes were dark and intense, predatory, devouring you with his gaze.  You squirmed, looking the way his eyes drank you in.
“Need you,” he repeated, the Alpha tone in his voice deep and demanding.  He reached for his half undone pants, pushing them off his hips.
His cock sprung free and you swallowed thickly.  You’d only been with Betas.  Seeing an Alpha in his element, with his cock poised to split you in half set your blood thrumming through you veins.  Another wave of want washed over you, sent heat and slick to your desperate core.
“Tell me it’s okay, Omega,” Dean demanded, stroking his cock, rubbing circles into your thigh.  You swallowed, your brain too gone with want to respond.  “Omega,” Dean said again, “Tell me you want this.”  His eyes were on you, needy.  “Please.”
You couldn’t stop now if you wanted to, you needed him, craved him in ways you’d never known before.
“Alpha,” you replied, beckoning him closer.
Dean sheathed himself within you in one brutal thrust.  You accepted him, stretching around his girth, feeling him fill you in ways that sent you arching off the leather seats.
“Fuck,” he said, a guttural cry from deep in his throat.  “The feel of you, Y/N.  So hot and wet for me.”  He moved within you, driving deeper and deeper into your core.
“Dean,” you pleaded.  You could feel him swelling inside of you, his knot almost catching as he thrust wildly.  You writhed beneath him, on edge, so close to your orgasm, each thrust almost tripping your release.
“Alpha,” you screamed, needing him to claim you.  You needed to feel his teeth break your skin, marking you as his while his knot lodged inside of you, filling you with his seed.
He bared his teeth, grunting in what almost sounded like pain.
“Alpha, please,” you called to him.  “I need you.”  You could feel it beginning to swell and prepared for his mark when he withdrew completely.
The loss felt like being ripped in half, even his fingers working inside of you, thumb rubbing against your clit, couldn’t replace the feeling of cock stretching you, pushing into the dark recesses of your body that no Beta had ever reached.  You came with a shuddering scream, but it was hollow and you clenched around nothing but his fingers.  Your body screamed for him even as you convulsed, clenching around his fingers.
He groaned as he came, his teeth biting his lower lip enough to draw blood.  His cum was hot on your stomach, burning on your skin, reminding you that it's rightful place was inside of your body.
You tossed a hand over your eyes, squeezing them closed against the rush of emotion.
Dean cleaned your thoroughly, but didn’t speak as you shrugged into your clothes.   He stopped you as you reached for you pants.  Instead he pulled you into his arms, holding you close.  The lingering feeling of emptiness abated a little and you let him wrap you in his arms, drifting slowly to troubled dreams.
Nothin' lasts forever And we both know hearts can change And it's hard to hold a candle In the cold November rain
You woke alone in the back seat, the blanket tucked around your carefully.  You blinked at the virgin light breaching the horizon, looking around the car for Dean.  He was leaning against the hood of the Impala, staring out across the lake, watching the sun rise.
Brushing the hair out of your face, you climbed out of the backseat, feeling your joints protest.  A deep, not unpleasant ache called from between your legs, an unnecessary reminder of the night you’d just shared.
“Hey,” you murmured, taking a seat on the hood beside him.
“Hey,” Dean murmured, not able to look at you.  Silence fell between you both, and for the first time it was uncomfortable in its stillness.
Waves gently lapped at the shore, giving rhythm to the morning.
“So, when-,” you started to say.
“We shouldn’t-,” Dean spoke at once.  You both paused, waiting for the other to continue.  You almost smiled, relishing in Dean’s ability to read your mind still, but refrained.  He was too serious for laughter.  It felt like the two couldn’t exist in the same space.
“When are we going home,” you asked, taking his lingering silence as an offer to continue.
“Now,” he said, finally looking at you.  He was looking at you like it was the last time.  He looked at you like you were out of reach.  “I just didn’t want to wake you up.”
“It’s never bothered you before,” you said with a shadow of a smile.
“I’m sorry,” Dean said in a rush, his impassive stare set once more on the lake.  The pale sunlight made his skin look sickly and almost blue.
“For?”  You prompted, feeling a sliver of dread slip across your belly, a swift blade slicing you open.
“Last night,” he said begrudgingly, spitting out the words like they disgusted him.  “I shouldn’t have used you like that.”
It felt like a punch in the stomach.
“I didn’t think you did,” you said, your heart racing in your chest.
“I did and I’m sorry,” Dean replied.  “I just, I guess seeing you injured brought out the Alpha in me.”  He looked so angry.
“Dean,” you started to say, reaching out to touch him.  He flinched away.
“I’m sorry.  I shouldn’t have lost control like that.  It was a mistake.”
A mistake.
Time stopped around you.  You felt as if you were alone, the rest of the world frozen.
It was a mistake.
“Maybe we could just forget about it then,” you offered.  Dean looked at you, pondering his response.  He swallowed, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.
“You think you could do that?”  He sounded skeptical and almost regretful.
“If it was just a mistake, then shouldn’t we?”
He nodded.
“I guess so.”
The ride back to the bunker was quite.  You turned off the radio after an hour, when every song seemed to be made to spite you.  Occasionally Dean would glance at you, looking like he wanted to speak, but failed to find the words.  Eventually you feigned sleep, staring out of the window as the Impala chased the horizon.
Dean gave you a lingering, sad smile after he parked the car in the garage.  You followed him into the bunker without another word.  You’d practiced how to behave for your return, not letting Sam know about your indiscretion with Dean.  But here, standing in the atrium you couldn’t stand it.
Dean disappeared into his room and you felt an ache blossom in your core, a burning empty that only intensified.
You took a step back.  It was a mistake.  It had all been a mistake.  You’d touched what you’d wanted, needed for so long, but it wasn’t enough.  It never would be enough.
You gripped the strap of your backpack, taking a step back.
You couldn’t do this.  You couldn’t be here.
Without another word, without leaving a note, you stepped out of the bunker and out of Dean’s life.
We've been through this such a long long time Just tryin' to kill the pain, oo yeah But love is always coming and love is always going And no one's really sure who's lettin' go today Walking away

Part 2
Tumblr media
“I don’t see why this is necessary,” your mother says almost passively as she groans. The discussion had been going around and around in circles. You just hoped it would finally end with you getting your way.
“Because, momma, before I’m swept off for the merger, I think it’s only right that I get some real-world experience.”
“Stop calling it a merger, it’s a marriage. And you’ve already been helping with the company for years, what else do you need to know?”
“Yes Ma’am, I know.” You pause for a moment before continuing as you try to think of the best way to convince your mother. “But how are we ever going to move forward if we can’t innovate. It’s only an internship, I’m not doing anything dangerous and it’s not like I’m going to the moon. Come on, momma, please talk to him? Let me do this?”
She pursed her lips, “You’ve got to be careful. Consider how this will reflect on our family name.”
“Of course. Always.” You nod, hoping to appease her and speed up the process of her decision-making. Over the years, you’d figured out that she was typically the one with the final say on matters, and while she took her time, you usually found ways to sway her in your favor.
In the end, you’d won, convincing them to let you take the opportunity for the internship at Sandover before moving forward with your other future arrangements - including your engagement to Benny, the heir of his family. ‘Think of the family name,’ you mocked. Like you’d ever get the chance not to. It was known in practically every household for it’s multi-generation, multi-million dollar business. But also known in the more infamous way for the family stance on breeding practices.
You had everything ready for your move. You were just getting ready to walk out the door when Benny came by to see you off. He approached you with his slow sauntering gait and gently placed a hand on your hip. He held you away at a respectable distance.
“You sure ‘bout this?”
“Yes, Benny. It’s a great learning opportunity, and it would be unreasonable for me to pass it up.”
“Darlin’, you stay safe out there. Stay clear of any troublemakers, you get me?”
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath to keep from rolling your eyes, “Benny, dear, I’ll be fine. You’re acting like I am going to live with a bunch of savages.”
“An alpha in rut? Omegas in heat? Savages might be the only way to describe them.”
“Well, I guess this will be a good learning experience, won’t it? I’ve already had to fight my folks on this, don’t start on me too, please. I’ll be back before you know it and we can move forward with the plans.” You gently smile and lean forward to place a light kiss on his cheek. He was kind, protective, and smart. There was no ill will or animosity toward him, but you also didn’t feel anything special; there was no real spark between the two of you. Your mother assured you that it would grow in time, not like you had a choice in the matter anyway. You were chosen for each other, practically genetically designed to suit your families and continue the pure, Beta bloodlines. Love and chemistry didn’t rank high on the list of priorities. Not when there was business to tend to and reputations to uphold. You keep a tight smile on your face as you walk toward the car waiting to take you to the airport, grateful for some breathing room and anxious for a little adventure.
Your first day at your internship had you buzzing with excitement. You practically ran into the building, eager to meet people and get started. But as soon as you entered, you buckled over from nausea. The lingering smells from alphas, betas and omegas felt stifling. You’d met and spent time with a few alphas and omegas, but never in a group or in a building like this. The building reeked of smells: musky, perfumey, earthy, sweet - all settling like a thick, wet cloud. You gasp as you try to get yourself under control, half desperate to run back outside for fresh air. The other half of you feeling drawn in, wanting to seek out the smells that appealed to you the most.
“Hey, you okay over there?” You look through the crowded lobby to find the source of the concerned voice, noticing a petite red-head tilted to her side, mirroring your stance.
“Yeah. Thanks, I’m just,” you take a slow breath in, “Overwhelmed.”
“New here?”
“Intern,” you shyly smile.
“Ah, well, come along, newbie, I’ll help you get to Mount Doom.”
The bubbly red-head quickly introduced herself as Charlie, and, as luck would have it, she worked in the same department as you. She helped you get set up, introduced you around, and gave you a whirlwind tour pointing out different departments, managers and projects people were working on. You passed a set of double doors, nearly stumbling when your head whipped around at a delicious scent you caught.
“What’s in there?” You gasp.
“Sales and Marketing. Mostly a bunch of douchey salesmen and numbers guys. If you’re smelling anything, it’s probably cheap cologne and dirty money.”
“Not a fan, huh?” You grin at her, as you tilt your head in the direction of the scent again.
“Well, like I said, mostly a bunch of douches. There’s one or two in there that are alright.”
“Huh.” You nod absently before your brain catches up. “So, wait, you don’t smell that?” You sniff at the air again, “It smells amazing.”
Charlie squints her eyes, before taking a suspicious sniff of the air. “Umm, no, sorry.” She knits her brows together, watching you as you flit your attention between her and the closed double doors. “Hey, sorry if this is too personal since we just met and all, but, um, have you presented yet?”
You bark out a laugh before you can stop yourself, causing Charlie’s face to twist in confusion.
“Sorry. I’m sorry. No, I’m not offended,” you bite your lip, trying to control yourself. “I’m a beta,” you assure her with a confident nod.
“You sure?” She gently prods.
You glance down, feeling the nerves fluttering in your belly. You can feel your face going pink, embarrassed before you can even break the news. You lean in so that you can drop your voice to a whisper.
“I’m a Y/L/N, I’m sure,” you say flatly, hoping you didn’t sound as snobbish as you thought you did.
Charlie blinks at you for a moment, trying to figure out what you mean. Her eyes grow wide, almost exponentially, when she figures it out.
“Wait, like THE Y/L/N’s?” She practically shouts.
You nod and pop out a quiet, “Yup,” pushing your hands down to make her lower her voice.
“Shit. Shit. Sorry. Come on. Let’s grab lunch and then you can tell me all about that,” Charlie tugs at your sleeve, guiding you down the hall. You hum and nod, breathing deeply through your nose to catch the scent again before stepping into the elevator.
Charlie becomes an immediate friend. She was curious about your family, but not judgmental, and a pretty open book herself. She invites you over right away to have dinner with her alpha, Dorothy, and you listen intently as they tell you all about some of the adventures they’d been on together in between answering your own questions about their lives as an alpha and omega pair.
“So, you’ve only heard stories? I mean, you’ve really never even just hung out with any before?” Charlie asked.
“Umm, well, yes, I’ve met a few, but I’ve never actually met a pair before.”
“And, you really have no family that isn’t in the beta bloodline?” Dorothy asks, settling back with a glass of wine.
“Well, none that are recognized, at least.” You shift as your nerves start to get the better of you. The conversation about your family’s practices always made you jittery. Betas. All betas. All by design. Descendants of betas who married betas to produce more betas. As a child, you heard and read sweeping, grand stories about alphas and omegas, about their bonds, and love stories about True Mates, but never heard anyone from your family speak of those same feelings.
“Meaning? Charlie presses with a look of concern.
“Meaning...should someone in our family present as something other than a beta, they are...ermm, written off? I guess that’s the nicest way to put it,” you explain with a grimace.
“Whoa, whoa, like ‘written off’?” Charlie runs a finger across her neck to mimic slitting someone’s throat.
“Ohmygod, no! Not like that! At least, not recently,” they both look at you with blank expressions as your attempt at humor falls flat, making you groan at yourself. “Okay, well, at this point, it doesn’t happen often, but a few years ago I had a cousin, Anna, who presented as an omega. As soon as she got through her initial heat, they had her pack a bag. The driver took her to a hotel and handed her an envelope of cash. She was left there, and now the family acts like she just died; pretends she doesn’t exist any more.”
Their hands clench together on the tabletop, and when you finally look up to meet their eyes, they look horrified. A wave of shame washes over you, making your stomach push up a bubble of bitter bile that you swallow down to continue.
“I, uh, I kept in touch with her, though. She’s actually doing really well. She found an alpha and they’re really happy, I guess.” Charlie and Dorothy continue to just watch you with shocked expressions. “Look. I don’t agree with it. It’s just, they have always preached head over heart, you know? When I was little, I asked my grandfather about the absence of alphas and omegas in my family. He very gruffly informed me ‘We will not be ruled by hormones. Our rationality keeps us civilized.’ And that was that.”
After a moment of silence, Charlie finally clears her throat, looking at you with a pained expression. “I just can’t understand that, turning your back on your child, on your family, because of genes.”
You can’t look her in the eyes any more. You know the way your family acts is controversial, but to really see someone react to it made you desperate for a change in subject. You swallow down the uneasy feeling and toss back the remainder of your wine.
“So, are those all first-edition novels?” you practically squawk, throat tight with nerves, face flush from the mixture of wine and embarrassment.
From the corner of your eye, you can see Charlie’s brow scrunched up in concern, but you try to keep your gaze fixed on the bookcase. You notice the slight movement of her hand squeezing Dorothy’s again before she chimes in.
“Yeah, yes, they are. They’ve been in my family for years.” She rattles on about her book collection while you try to swallow the lump in your throat. When you finally bring yourself to look up, Charlie flashes a quick wink and a friendly smile which calms you down some, relieved that it still seems like she wants to be friends despite what you just revealed to her. No matter how hard you try, though, you can’t rid yourself of the unsettling feeling that’s making your body quiver with nerves.
The moments from the previous night played over and over in your mind as your father droned on over the phone. Though you’d put some distance between you, your family still managed to inject themselves into your new life. You’d gotten more phone calls and texts over the few days you’d been gone than you usually received in an entire month.
“So, you ready to come on home, yet?” Your father asks teasingly. It’s the fifth time he’s asked that during the short conversation, like he is trying to catch you in a lie. You easily imagine his smug smile, one hand tapping a pen on his desk like he always did while on the phone.
“Really? I’ve only been here a few days.”
He chuckles at your exasperated response. “I know, I know. Just wanted you to know you’re missed. Your mother is more worried than she lets on.”
“Well, let her know I’m fine. Feeling a little queasy, but I think I’m just getting used to the change in scenery.”
“You need Benny to come on out there and take care of you?”
“I appreciate the offer, but no, I’m fine. I promise.”
“Alright, well, when you get tired of all those moody alphas, just gimme a ring.”
“You bet,” you say sweetly while your face remains neutral.
You hang up the phone, rubbing at your temples in frustration.
“Hey, you alright over there?” Charlie whispers in your direction. You feel your eyes well up with unwanted tears.
“I need to take a walk.”
Without questioning you further, she gets up to follow you. Your shoulders curl in as you fold your arms over your chest and duck your head down. You know you look like a toddler having a tantrum, but you can’t help yourself as you practically jog to the elevators. You slap at the buttons until the doors open, grateful that it’s empty once it arrives. Charlie slides in next to you, her own back rigid with tension as she watches you hit more buttons once inside. The two of you remain in silence for the duration of the elevator ride, aside from your huffing breaths. The doors barely crack open before you jump out, pacing the floor.
“I don’t get it. Just don’t get it, Charlie. I get being protective and all, but they’re treating me like they expect me to fail, or run home scared or something. I don’t have anything to be scared of. I’m just here to learn and live and then I’m going to go home and -”
“Hey, hey. Y/n?” Charlie jumps in, halting your pacing and your rambling. “Breathe, okay, take some deep breaths for me. Can you do that?”
You close your eyes, taking in air through your nose until you feel like your lungs might burst. You let it out slowly, then repeat the action, over and over.
“Okay, better?”
“Mmhmm,” you nod with your eyes still closed, tension slowly leaving your body.
“So, I’ve gotta ask, what are we doing here?”
You slowly open your eyes, taking in Charlie’s obvious concern; her eyes wide with worry, mouth drawn tightly down in a frown.
“Oh, Charlie, I’m sorry. I know. You barely know me and now I just started venting to you and you -”
“No, no, that’s fine. I just want to know what we’re doing here. Like, why’d you come here?” You turn your head like you’re trying to listen harder, like she’s said something you missed. She lifts her finger, gesturing at the walls around you.
You turn from side to side, elevators one way, the other way closed off by the double doors of the sales and marketing department.
“Oh. I - I don’t know? I just. Needed to calm down.” Your mouth pops out the fragments as you try to figure out why you came here instead of outside. You’re fairly certain that this had been your intended location, but now you aren’t so sure. Why had you gone here? Why does this place comfort you? You take another deep breath, letting the taste of the air settle on the back of your tongue. It’s fresh and calming, like that first breeze of warm, spring air - woodsy and earthy. You hum softly as the warmth from it spreads out from your chest.
Just then, one of the doors swings open, causing a gust of air to rush over you, carrying a scent so rich it makes your mouth water. You head spins, light and woozy, nearly making you topple over as you lose your footing. Charlie steadies you just in time.
“What’s wrong with her?” The older man asks, looking you over with mild concern.
“Oh, nothing Mr. Adler. Just some girl stuff, you know?” Charlie answers softly.
“Well, she oughta get home. An Omega in heat? The office is no place for that. You understand, young lady?” He nods at you.
Your face contorts with disgust. If you weren’t so busy trying to keep yourself upright, you’d have jumped down his throat for being so condescending. Who was he to call you young lady and tell you what to do? You came up here to relax, and instead you’ve got some shit excuse for an alpha acting like your father.
“Yes, sir, we’ll get this taken care of right away.” Charlie nods as he gets onto the elevator. The doors close before she speaks up again. “Okay, let’s just go get you settled in and we can figure -”
“What the hell was that?” You practically spit at her. “What’s his problem? And who were you talking about? Are you in heat, Charlie?”
She stares you down with worry and an apologetic look as you take uncontrollable, heaving breaths. Your stomach begins to ache as though you haven’t eaten in days, a steady pain pulling at your insides. Charlie’s lips pull back with a wince. Her hands remain caught in mid-air, like she’s hesitating. Finally, she speaks, her voice just above a whisper.
“No, I’m not in heat.”
“Well, neither am I,” you croak out and force yourself upright. You both stand in silence for a moment before a shiver of warmth rattles your body.
“It’s the flu. Or something. I’m just going to go home,” you cross your arms over your body, shaking your head in agreement with yourself.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Charlie mumbles. “We should probably try to figure out-”
“No. I’m going home,” you force the words out with as much conviction as you can muster while hunched over. “I must have caught something while traveling, you know how airplanes can be.”
You remain folded over as your skin begins to heat up, dampening with a light layer of sweat that makes you feel clammy all over. You reach out for the elevator button, feebly slapping at it until it lights up for you. Another pang pulls at your insides, making you draw your arms tighter around yourself in an attempt to reign in a shuddering cry.
The double doors swing open again and a figure stops just outside of them. The action pushes another blast of air your way and you moan as the heavily scented air hits you; a brief wave of relief. Then, there’s a voice - deep and clear - that cuts through the shrill alarm of panic ringing in your ears.
“Charlie,” it’s half a statement, half question.
“Mr. Smith,” she answers with a matching tone.
You want to stand up. You can hear your mother’s voice in your head scolding you about your manners. You know you’re causing a scene, and do your best to turn to greet the newcomer. You expect another old executive like Mr. Adler, but instead, you’re met by someone much younger. He steals your breath away as you take in his broad shoulders stretching the seams of his fitted suit jacket. Light brown hair, parted neatly to the side, framing his lightly tanned, freckled face. He’s gorgeous, despite the stony expression he’s wearing as his jaw flexes. His eyes are wide, showing off the most brilliant pair of green eyes you’d ever seen.
Your body freezes. You hear that voice again telling you to move, to do something, but it feels impossible. It feels like you’re stuck in a vivid dream, everything moving around you in a slow blur, your senses off-kilter. He looks at you as though he knows you, like you’re some long-lost friend. His focus so hard it’s like he’s trying to see straight through you. It’s intense, and sends a sudden jolt through you, making you tremble and gasp.
That’s when you smell it. Him. The apparent source of that delicious scent you’ve been chasing. The one you caught on your tour and that you sought out in your panic. It’s powerful, and now with him so close, you can smell the richness of it. Of him. There’s a bit of spice that tickles at your taste buds, mingling with the foresty scent you’d picked up on earlier, with a touch of tangy saltiness. Probably from the light layer of sweat that’s making his face shine in the light.
“I’m so sorry. There must be something going around,” you softly groan.
His eyes leave you, glancing at Charlie, nostrils flaring as he inhales deeply. She gently pats at your back, but the comforting gesture just makes your back prickle with irritation at the contact.
“Charlie?” He asks again, his voice gravelly and strained. You hear it turn up at the end of her name, sounding like a plea.
“Dean. Just hang on. Okay? She doesn’t know,” she tells him calmly, smoothly.
“What? What the hell does that mean?” He steps forward. His voice makes you roll your neck, sending a tingling sensation right down your spine that settles between your thighs. You’ve never felt turned on by just a man’s voice before, and it makes your face burn red, adding to your inner distress at the situation.
You remain hunched over, hands digging into your sides as you attempt to draw the pain away from your core. His eyes move between you and Charlie, waiting for something. His tongue slips out between his lips, and you draw in a deep breath, hauling yourself upright with the inhale. You finally get a proper look at the man before you; his tongue still peeking out between his slightly parted lips and playing behind his teeth. It takes all your strength to suppress the urge you have to press your mouth against his and suck on his tongue and full lips.
The elevator dings and the doors roll open, startling you out of your inappropriate little daydream.
“I should really go,” you breathe out softly.
“No,” both Charlie and Dean answer in unison, startling you again and making you step back reluctantly.
“Y/n, okay, I know this might be a little weird, maybe a little scary for you, but just listen for a second, okay?” Charlie says as she and Dean both take a tentative step forward, making you step back. “I’m telling you, this isn’t some stomach bug, or bad sushi. You’re experiencing a heat.”
Your eyes start to well up again. Your fingers twitch while your body shakes with feverish trembles. A high-pitched, nearly hysterical laugh escapes your mouth as you continue to back away from the two people standing before you.
“No. I’m a beta. I’m a Y/L/N.” You point in her direction. “You barely know me. You don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m going home.” Your voice wavers, and your feet try to disobey you, but you manage to step back into the elevator, letting the doors close on panicked faces as they try to dive at the narrowing gap.

My Masterlist
Tumblr media
It had been three months. Three months since Dean had last seen Y/N. Three months since he let her slip through his fingers. Dean tossed back the last of the whisky in his glass and slid it back across the bar. The bartender promptly refilled it under his request and Dean took another sip. The whisky slid smoothly down his throat.
Y/N was his best friend, hunting with the brothers for three years. Dean hid his affections though, he was rather well trained. He had to be, as an alpha, living the life that he did, it just wasn't smart to find a mate. And Y/N did all that she could to make it easier on him. She would leave the bunker when she was in heat. Hell, she would make sure she took her pills to mask her scent. It wasn't easy being an omega and living with an alpha but they made it work.
It was hard for Dean to watch her go. But it was even harder after she left. She was the best thing that happened to them. She loved them like the brothers she never had and she treated them like the children she had yet to have. Dean, however didn't notice any of this until it was too late, until the words were already said.
~
Y/N huffed and ran a hand down her face. The eldest Winchester wouldn't understand.
“Dean, I think it's time to take a step back” Sam interjected.
“Why? So she can run off and get herself killed? No way!” Dean snarled at his little brother who instantly recoiled under his glare.
“I knew getting involved with other hunters was a bad idea. I told myself it would just be too much drama. Hunters love themselves the drama.” Y/N stood from her chair.
“I'm just trying to keep you safe!”
“I'm not a child Dean! And I'm certainty not your child. God you are such the typical alpha, always thinking everyone else is so fragile. I was hunting long before I met you guys and I did perfectly fine. The only reason I even joined you guys was because I wanted to get to know the infamous Winchesters, and you know what now that I have, I'm not so sure I like them.” Tears were brimming in her eyes, the anger raising her heart rate.
“Fine then go! If you hate us so much go!” Dean whipped out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
“Fine!”
Y/N packed her things quickly that night, said goodbye to Sam, and slipped silently into the night.
~
“I'm should have know you'd be here.” A soft voice came from behind Dean. He turned his head, coming face to face with Y/N’s familiar Y/E/C eyes.
“Y/N?”
“Hi.” She said weakly. Her gaze cast down, unwillingly to meet Dean’s. “It’s good to see you.”
“What are you doing here?” Dean turned his body towards hers. She licked her lips, contemplating her answer.
“I was passing through town and I needed a drink. You know they are one of the few places that carries my favorite beer.” She motioned to the bartender to get her usual. The three hunters frequented this bar over the years. They were hard members to forget. Dean sat silently as the bartender popped the top off and slid the brown bottle to Y/N. She took a hesitant sip and eyed Dean. Both were refusing to break the silence, a stubbornness trait the both unfortunately had. Y/N had enough with the Winchester.
“Listen Dean,” She began but her words were cut off.
“Don't.”
“Just hear me out. I'm sorry okay, I never should have said the things I did. I know how sensitive you are, how much you try not to adhere to the alpha stereotype. But treating an omega like glass was so not helping your case.” Y/N took a long swig from her bottle. “And maybe I shouldn't have left, but you're the one who said to go, and I was just so mad…” she trailed off, her words lost in her own mind.
Dean was quiet for a minute, still not talking. Y/N nods to herself, resigned to the fact that she wasn't forgiven and that Dean was really standing his ground. So she fished some money out of her purse, threw it on the bar and stood up to leave.
“I just didn't want to see you get hurt. I couldn't see you get hurt.” Dean mumbled as he grabbed her forearm, stopping her.
“I know.” She touched his fingers with her other hand.
“I was so scared. I didn't know what I would do if I lost you. But then, I guess, in the end I lost you anyways.”
“Dean,” Y/N cupped his cheek in her palm and sat back down in front of him. She moved his chin, forcing him to look at her. “Dean you could never lose me.” She sighed, pressing her lips to his. The spark inside Dean ignited. His hands moved quickly to her waist, gripping tightly. Before they knew it, Y/N body was forced up against the side of the impala, their lips moving seamlessly together in the dark and empty parking lot. Hands were touching every inch of each other.
“Dean.” Y/N moaned as he drew apart from her to open the door. Easily they slid into the back seat, their lips finding each other again quickly. Y/N slid her hands over Dean’s shoulders underneath his jacket and forced it down his arms. Dean's slid his t-shirt over his head and placed both items behind her head for support.
“God you're so fucking beautiful.” Dean breathed as she slid off her top. His lips traveled smoothly down her neck and over her collarbone. He peppered light kisses to her breast and swirled his tongue around her nipples, bringing them to attention in the cool night air. He moved down her body, pulling her jeans and panties down in one swoop.
Dean’s mouth found it way back to Y/N skin, leaving a path of wet kisses down her stomach. Her skin ignited under his touch, a small flame resonating in its wake. Y/N hands fumbled across Dean's abdomen, searching and finding his belt. She undid it, unbuttoning his jeans and slowly pulling down his zipper. His cock was straining against the cotton of his briefs, waiting.
“Shit,” Y/N let out a breath as she took him in her hands, pumping his length a few times. Dean sighed, his eyes rolling back as she moved her lips to his head. Her tongue swirled there for a moment before she took him in her mouth. She moved her hand in time with her mouth, sucking gently.
“Fuck, I need you,” Dean growled as she popped her mouth of his dick. She laughed at his impatience. Dean moved next to Y/N on the bench seat, pulling her down onto his lap and positioning himself at her entrance. Slowly he pushed himself into her pussy, letting her adjust to his size. Y/N bit her lip as soft moans fell from her mouth. They grew louder with every thrust of Dean's hips. Y/N bent over Dean connecting their mouths and matching his moans with hers.
“I'm so close,” Dean whimpered as he buried his face in her neck. Y/N nodded against him in agreement. Dean slowed down, fucking her slowly as they came. Her walls contracting down hard on his knott. He pulled her down onto him, letting their breathing come down and waiting to release her.
She giggled into his chest softly. “Why the hell did it take us this long?”
He grinned and placed a soft kiss to the top of her head. “Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone.”

“WHAT ARE YOU KIDS DOING!” You shouted opening the door in the old abandoned house. The five teenagers bolted their fear evident coursing through their pores as they bolted out the back entrance and through broken windows. You sighed out frustrated, so they had been the ones summoning these demons, not that they knew what they were doing. You looked down at the books and notes, these kids clearly had no idea what they were messing with. You moved picking up the items and right as you reached to snuff out the lines a man appeared in the center with a white light. You reached for your gun but this guy was slightly quicker knocking it from your hand but you were ready a silver knife in the other. You had it at his throat and pinned him quickly to the wall looking straight into his eyes. Your expression turned to a bit shocked as green eyes stared back at you, that wasn’t the shocking part as his scent filled your nose. Alpha. “Who the hell are you?! Demon?” You snarled as the silver knife cut into his skin but he didn’t flinch.
“Look lady I ain’t no demon but I came here looking for one,” The man said before he looked at you funny. You let up on him but still were suspicious and only when you saw the trickle of blood on his neck did you pull away. You shoved him back and fully erased a line on the drawn symbol on the ground. He wasn’t a demon the blade that was at his neck was made by the hands of priests and from blessed steel so if a demon that should’ve burned him. You looked at the symbol then it struck you.
“You aren’t from here are you?” You asked his scent overwhelming you but you were trying to keep it together.
“What gave that away?” He smirked his hand reaching up to whip the blood from his neck.
“Your scent….it reeks of alpha…” You said looking at him picking up the last of the books. You saw a blank and confused stare from the man and you looked down at the symbol on the floor and flipped through the book.
“I'm a what?” He almost spat out not sure he heard you correctly.
“You have no idea what I’m talking about do you?” You said shocked as it was a portal spell, he was never supposed to be here at all. A cellphone started ringing and the man fumbled for it.
“Hello?” He asked cautiously. “Wait I actually get signal here? Yea….yea Sam I’m fine…let me call you back later, got some chick here talking about me being an alpha or something.” He hung up the phone and looked at you. “Where exactly am I?” He asked.
“Not sure what to say other than earth, specifically North Carolina…but I guess an alternate reality from yours since you had no idea what an alpha is,” You said shifting a bit uncomfortably before changing the subject. “If you’re looking for the black demon they originally released its dead,” You said shuffling through the book, you found the page you wanted quickly reading the passage.
“You sure? He had an accomplice,” The man said as you fumbled for your phone showing him a few images of the demons before you killed them.
“Both dead, those idiot teenagers had no idea what they were doing, thinking they were summoning some hot chick when all they got were demons, caught them before they could try it again but I guess this is where you can travel back and forth. We can try to recreate this but it can’t be so close together, time rifts could happen, so looks like you’re crashing here for a few days,” You said looking at him as you took your phone out and snapped a few pictures of the drawings on the floor. The man hadn’t said a word to you but you could see the wheel moving in his head.
“So you a hunter?” He said finally. You nodded retrieving your gun putting the safety back on and putting it in its holster.
“If you mean I go around killing these things then yea, here we usually use the term exorcist,” You said pondering your options with him. It was going to be a very long few days at this rate; you might be able to get away with using it in three or four days. “I guess you can stay with me till that time…don’t need you wandering around you’ll raise too much attention,” You added pulling out your car keys.
“Attention? Listen sweetheart I can fade into the shadows no problem and ill just wait around till my brother does the spell again,” He said.
“Names Y/N, Not sweetheart, and I highly doubt that you’re gonna attract omegas from all over the state if we don’t get you hidden,” You said walking out of the house. You waited for him to follow and he soon appeared from the house, hands in his pocket as you watched him.
“Safe to say I know nothing about this world…this alpha omega thing or not guess I better not turn down help,” He said. “Names Dean Winchester,” he said extending out his hand. You smiled and shook it but could not shake how odd you were feeling.
“Get in thankfully these idiots did this not too far from where I live,” You said opening the doors to your mustang. Dean looked over your car, black with silver embellishing’s, and tan interior, this was looking a bit to eerily like his life as he sat on the passenger’s side. The hum of the older motor unsettled him slightly but he said nothing as you pulled away. No music was played as you focused on the road and trying to ignore him, but his scent was tainting your car, worse yet you weren’t minding it.
“So what is this whole alpha omega thing…like everyone is a werewolf or something?” Dean asked.
“No not quite, they took the names maybe from packs I guess,” You started as you turned onto a main highway. “Look everyone here is born either an alpha, an omega, or a beta. Alphas for some reason have died out, either killed or just not being born anymore, I'm not really sure which for sure” You started.
“And yet demons appear as alphas?” Dean asked
“That or angels, male female doesn’t matter anything supernatural it seems appears as an alpha….so makes my job easy…but you….you shouldn’t be here,” You stated again you voice sounding a bit bitter. “You’re going to throw off the balance and have demons coming from all over the place,” You added as you were gunning it now to get back. You couldn’t stand to watch another person die let alone another alpha.
“Look I’m sorry for being a bother but that demon was bad news we couldn’t let it just get away it was possessing a child where I was from,” Dean said as he looked out the window then he felt like this was a weird game of déjà vu. You pulled into a garage that looked strangely like the bunkers garage and parked where he usually parked Baby. He looked around and you watched him curious as he got out of the car, he looked like he was seeing ghosts as he followed you inside. You set your things down on the kitchen table and looked at him as his green eyes looked you angry. “Is this some kind of game?!” He shouted.
“Game? This is where I-?” You asked a bit shocked.
“Live Yea this is exactly where I live too,” Dean said same time as you. You followed him and he pointed out every single place in this including the dungeon. He moved to the bedrooms and opened the door to your sister’s room before you could stop him. “This….is...was mine…” He paused looking around as the room looked similar to his but the colors were different and furnishings were less masculine and simple. Biggest difference this room looked unlived in a fine layer of dust coated the furniture and the room smelled a bit musty.
“If you would please leave this room alone,” You said pulling him away and shutting the door. You looked away then realized you would have to explain. “That was my sister’s room, can pick any other room except this one and the one down the hall since you know your way around,” You said turning and heading for your room.
“And that’s Sam’s room,” Dean sighed out softly his eyes looking down the hall shocked. Your door shut and he was left in the hallway alone. He opened the door to your sisters room and stepped inside, why was all this so much like his life. He looked at the bookcase, you two kept better photos than he and Sam ever did as he looked through the frames. If Dean and Sam had taken pictures, they probably would’ve looked similar to this. He saw you in graduation gowns then acceptance letters to college before a picture with you and another girl in front of a dorm. The photos quickly changed and he saw a much more tired you, happy as you smiled with the same girl from earlier, but tired.
“You don’t listen either,” You sighed out from the doorway as you watched Dean sitting on your sister’s bed looking at photos.
“What happened?” Dean asked as you moved and sat next to him. He handed you a photo and you smiled, you remembered that night at the bar after a tough hunt. You wanted nothing more than to just curl up into bed but not her, no she wanted to celebrate and you could never so no.
“Demon possessed her,” You said softly your fingers tracing over her face as you whipped a layer of dust off. “I couldn’t find a cure, not one in time anyways she had done too much killed to many,” You said leaving it at that. It was you that pulled the trigger and you would regret that for the rest of your life.
“This can’t be happening,” Dean said you turned looking at him. “Why is it you and her are living the exact same life I am?!” He said annoyed. You shrugged.
“Probably not all the same but bits and pieces Sam still has you so it’s not exact,” You said standing and putting the picture back on the bookshelf. You let out a sigh and looked at him, “She too was an alpha she hid her scent with drugs but demons can just tell, my theory is they are eliminating the alphas making humans more susceptible to them, particularly omegas who are also dying out or disappearing either one,” You said.
“So you’ve explained this alpha beta omega thing sort of what is it really?” Dean asked.
“It’s just some genetic thing god thought would be funny to put on people, betas I guess are just like your world just normal people omegas are as well so long as an alpha isn’t around,” You added trying to think of how to word this. “Alphas are plain what their name sake says they were top dogs, could make a whole room look there way, picture the high school all-star jocks if you will, just what the name implies they could turn heads. Omegas can either act like alphas and command attention, but also they can be shy and meek it’s kinda hard to say we don’t really fit any certain standard,” You thought about it. You were more on the beta alpha side of the spectrum but you had meet much more shy omegas.
“Is that it? Just a personality thing?” Dean pressed as you could feel he was getting a bit agitated about something.
“No…your anatomy changes too, Alphas can smell what everyone is and typically they attract more to Omegas and vice versa, not to say they can’t be attracted to betas. I guess the biggest thing is the obvious anatomy does change. Omegas are like super fertile but only at certain times we call it not surprisingly heats,” You stated. "But the heats only happen in Omegas, alphas it’s called rutt sometimes they line up with each other sometimes they don’t,” You stated as you excused yourself to grab an anatomy book from the library. “Pretty much the two were designed to have lots of kids….guess when he first made us we weren’t reproducing fast enough. The rest of the anatomy changes you can look up,” You said handing him the book. You certainly did not want to be thinking about the alpha male anatomy changes he was already here and his scent overpowering. Dean had been quiet this whole time, his face a bit mixed of shock and curiosity but took the book a little hesitant to look through it. “Right I’ll leave you to that, you know the way around just don’t mess anything up in here ok?” You asked softly. Dean looked at the book but didn’t open it
“Is that why you smell so good?” He asked almost hesitantly.
“Heat? No its cause I’m an omega and you’re an alpha it’s just pure biology on that,” You smiled at him before leaving the room. You headed to your room and clenched at your stomach, this was such a bad idea and you needed to get him home as fast as possible before you went into heat or he went into a rutt….and you had a feeling the latter would happen first.
You awoke the next morning to the smell of bacon and shrugged the sleep from your eyes. You moved to grab for your gun before remembering you had a visitor and groaned as you moved to put on clothes. It was too early to be up for you but would be rude to sleep all day. You washed your face and tried to look a bit more presentable and wake up before you headed to the kitchen.
“Hey morning….you had some stuff so…I’d thought I’d make breakfast? Or I guess brunch,” Dean said as you headed straight for the coffee. The warm beverage in hand you looked around
“This looks good,” You smiled as he started to plate things. Eggs, bacon, pancakes you were actually looking forward to this.
“Didn’t know what you liked but this seemed safe,” Dean said setting a plate in front of you before sitting at the other end of the table. You two ate in relative silence, it wasn’t weird you thought you were still trying to wake up as you finished and offered to wash dishes. Dishes washed you sat back down with another cup of coffee. “So….like guys are just ok here smelling people and having weird muscles?” Dean finally asked as you spit your coffee. That was so not, what you were expecting this early.
“I…ummm… like I said alphas are pretty much extinct now but no…it…it’s just something we all just kinda know as kids on top of bird and the bees in general, not…really weird for us. Your type has almost gone into like a fairy tale myth for people,” You said getting a napkin and cleaning up the spilt coffee. You looked over at him, “Seriously I wasn’t kidding when I said there are no alphas, the biology text books may talk about them but honestly they are gone and omegas are starting to head the same way, and girls can be alphas too,” You added as it wasn’t just guys that got special anatomy. He went to ask but then got a bit of a shocked and horrified face, “I’ll just let you ponder that for a while Winchester, if you look in that book it did explain,” You laughed as you headed into the library. His scent was becoming a bit too intoxicating as you shuffled around what looked like an herb cabinet. You quickly found some suppressants, checking the date you took them, no need for you to even think about going into heat with him around. Pills taken you moved around searching for portal spells, there had to be some way to send him back faster.
“So…..is there a plan?” Dean asked.
“Not really, you can’t leave this bunker period,” You said finding a few books.
“What that’s not even fair-“
“You don’t get it when I say there is literally zero, read my lips ZERO alphas you will literally be like walking meat on a stick and god forbid you run into an omega in heat…..” You grumbled as you looked over and he was kinda smirking. “No like cat in heat all over you annoying…and don’t even think about fucking someone, if you slip up and go and bond with them…..heaven help you heartless bastard,” You said frustrated.
“Whoa wait what bond?” Dean asked.
“Did you even read that anatomy book?” you sighed out.
“Well open a book and I just get put to sleep soo….” He said scratching at his neck. You sighed out
“So during the whole sex thing, yes there’s the sex but you can also claim that person forming a bond with them. Corny I didn’t make the rules, but you bite an area on the neck that is typically more appealing and you can claim them,” You said looking at him as he just had a shocked face. “Exactly so just keep it in your pants, you claim someone you have to be with them fairly frequently or risk them practically dying from heats that you awaken in them, since you’re an alpha and all, I doubt you would find a beta to be with,” You said going back to your book. The room fell silent as you sensed him processing everything.
“What kinda world is this?” he said almost horrified as you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Exactly now you see why all this is dying out, won’t be much left of it soon,” You added. “It’s always weird to talk about so thankfully we have a few more generations and it will be gone and I guess well be like your world,” You shrugged.
“Ok that’s enough history and anatomy for today,” Dean shifted uncomfortably and headed towards the bedrooms. You snickered and immersed yourself in research. You hardly noticed the time passes as you tried to find anything to speed up his stay here but came up short. You rested your head on the table stretching out your back and closing your eyes. It didn’t take long, the grandfather clock in here ticking back and forth lulled you to sleep.
It was late and a midnight snack drove Dean from his room he glanced into the library then stopped. That was the strangest position he had ever seen someone sleep in.
“Y/N,” He said gently nudging your shoulder but you didn’t move a muscle breathing softly on your arms. Well he couldn’t leave you like this you would wake up sore. He moved and gently picked you up, your scent hit him hard as he paused what he was doing and took a moment. So that smell was you, and gods you smelled amazing. He couldn’t name a certain smell over another a mix of many things but it was just you and it somehow smelled like home, it was warm and comforting. He shook his head and moved to your room gently setting you in your bed and covering you up. He sat on the edge for a while his hand on your shoulder, for some reason he just couldn’t pull away. He moved a strand of your hair out of your face corner of your mouth turned up in a small smile. When you did smile, your eyes had lit up but he could see you didn’t smile much anymore and that pained him, this could’ve been Sam’s life. He went to stand when your arm darted out and grabbed hold of his arm in an almost death grip. He looked back to your once peaceful looking face and now it was tense frowning. This was a bad idea, a very bad idea, he even knew that but you weren’t letting go of him. “Alright, alright princess you win,” Dean sighed out giving in or lose his arm and possibly wake you. You had let his hand go, but Dean doubt he would’ve made it out the door without you waking up. Dean walked around the bed behind you and moved under the covers as he stared up at the ceiling. Your breathing was soft and peaceful as being near you was apparently enough. Dean let out a small sigh and closed his eyes, your bed was actually pretty comfortable best part was it smelled like you calming his mind as he started to fade into sleep. Your body shifted almost the same time his did as you two just natural curled into each other. Your head moved in the crook of his neck, his head rested softly on yours, arms and legs intertwining as you each breathed in each other scents.
When you awoke that morning, you felt surprisingly well. You hated waking up always tired no matter how long you slept but another exorcism always called. Today you didn’t want to get out of bed for another reason, you were extremely comfortable and that was a bit odd feeling. Your eyes slowly fluttered open before closing again, you were just too warm and comfortable to wake up yet. You tried again with a bit more success your body senses functioning now as you felt someone was next to you, someone had their arms and legs around you protectively. You wanted to react you wanted to panic but your body was still asleep, still allowing you to relax, whoever it was your instincts trusted who ever this was. This time your mind won out as you took in a breath and jerked away suddenly as it was Dean.
“What what’s wrong!” He bolted away as well somehow knowing where you kept a gun as he looked around. Even half asleep, his body reacted to protecting you before his mind caught up not seeing any danger.
“GET OUT!” You shouted at him, you did not need to be around him, it was only a matter of time before something happened and he did not need to even think about being tied down here.
“Alright, alright I’m going!” Dean said as he quickly got up and headed for the door he went to leave and you both hesitated. “Look I wasn’t trying anything funny,” He said softly as he turned and looked back at you. “You just fell asleep in a weird position in the library I couldn’t leave you like that, so brought you back here and you kinda grabbed my arm and wouldn’t let go until I stayed,” Dean sighed out looking back at you. You sat in your bed and didn’t say anything, god his scent was everywhere now, you just wanted him to come back into this bed and sleep with you properly as you shook that thought. Dean turned to leave
“Dean?!” You called out wanting to shout it but instead spoke softly.
“Yea princess?” He said. You wanted to smack him for that nickname but at the same time, you liked it.
“Do you want French toast for breakfast or brunch whatever time it is?” You said and his smile about melted all your control.
“Sure,” he smiled heading back to his room. You laid back into the sheets and instinctively moved and hugged his pillow your nose inhaling before you quickly jumped out of bed. Cold shower that’s what you needed….as well as suppressants again.
Breakfast wasn’t as awkward as you thought it would be, you two held a decent conversation about how you got started in all this madness and were pulled back in. It was simple enough you loved school so decided to try a normal life, but even in school the demons and monsters were never too far from your mind. Then you got a call your sister was missing while looking for the demon that killed your parents and that terrified you, you quit school and quickly found her and never looked back.
“It wasn’t all sunshine obviously,” You said taking the dishes and washing them. “We also learned in order to have my sister and I our parents made a deal both their souls for 18 years and two kids, my sister came 9 months later I came four years later,” You said setting the dishes back where they were. “But throughout our life they kept training us, dad would go off on weird trips, mom would stay behind show us how to shoot, what kills werewolves, demons, ghosts, you name it, it was certainly a weird education on top of all the other things we had to learn,” You paused. “Then 18 years later we both came home from school with that bastard standing over their bodies and we never looked back. I had to at least finish high school our Aunt wouldn’t let us out any other way she always knew what we were up to,” You smiled. “So yea…that’s how we started, you probably much the same somehow?” You asked. Dean nodded more or less you couldn’t really tell as he sat quietly. You nodded and headed into the library to try and do more researching.
It was maybe an hour or so you heard the TV in the small living area turn on and that was about all your self-control could take. You physically needed to be near him and besides none of these books were helpful you were just going to have to wait out the next two days. You put back two more suppressant pills before heading into the living space and plopped down on the couch next to him your knees touching.
“Anything?” He asked
“Nope so few days here then we can get you back home, not really into breaking any time rifts” You smiled. It somehow felt like a fake smile and saying the words back and home together was painful. Dean seemed to shift nervously and you both went silent just watching TV. The hours ticked by both of you just sitting watching whatever came on, and both of you knew you weren’t paying much attention to what was on as you talked. About everything, bad hunts, some sibling things, if things were different, it felt odd to talk to someone again like this. Sure, you had other hunter friends but that was all business, you couldn’t get some of them to have a decent conversation about music or cars to save their life. Even with strangers, which he still was but you opened up like it was nothing, like he had been in your life for ages now not a few days. You got up after a while to make food again. You would have to make a trip to town tomorrow, not just cause he was here but you just needed food in general, that was going to be tough.
“Decide yet?” You jumped hearing him right next to you forgetting you had someone here yet again.
“Uh…no…wait yes sorry just need to go into town tomorrow,” You said as you pulled out some meat and set about making burgers.
“Soooo does that mean I get to see your town?” he grinned grabbing a beer.
“Nope means you get to stay right here,” You grinned back. “Seriously you will be walking around like a beacon to everyone unmated it’s not the people I worry about, you can fight them off it’s who knows what creatures,” You said shaping the meat then putting it on the pan washing your hands. “Werewolf, vampire, shifters, and worst of all demons,” You added turning as you crossed your arms to look at him. “And yes I know you probably could take them but they probably work differently here-“
“Different?” Dean asked sitting at the table watching you.
“So myths tell how demons work alone why you only see one name right? I'm assuming that’s how your world works.”
“Yea that’s how it is for us there are certain groups of demons but for the most part they work alone,” Dean said
“Right well here they don’t they work in groups, moving in groups and planning in larger groups, this is why we think Alphas are going extinct these demons are purposely targeting them and eliminating them or using them for meat suits,” You said turning as you flipped the burgers over. You started grabbing a few other things from the fridge; it wouldn’t be a fancy meal but a meal. “They use it to their advantage easily preying on what omegas that are out there and that’s typically who ends up in the paper with some tragic strange accident or just vanishes,” your back was to him as you went about warming the buns.
“So….how do you fight them then?” Dean asked
“Quickly, you have to become the literal hunter take them out one at a time from the group from the shadows, barging in does no good you easily get overwhelmed. No you have to have a plan to take one out at a time and before that one falls your onto the next,” You added serving up the food. You were a bit shocked at yourself for just opening up like this but he had to stay safe. If your lives truly were paralleled then he had to get back to his brother. You had no life here, your life was simple cases close to you then hiding in this safe house, doing what you could to get by. Dating was about impossible no one else could be messed up in your life or die because of you, and you didn’t care for any of the other exorcists you worked for, better to just be alone. Dean sat quietly before he finally looked up,
“Is that how your sister died?” He asked and you about dropped your beer on the table quickly grabbing it.
“Kinda….” You said getting quiet, “She…she went on a hunt alone not super abnormal we did it time to time supposed to be an easy one…next thing I knew I get a call from a mutual saying she was hunting down her own friends. Drove as fast as I could only to see black eyes, and her laughing in my face leaving with a pack of demons. Tracking her down wasn’t fun…that took forever but she slipped up and I managed to get her but by then…she had killed too many exorcists, humans, demons you name it that thing used her abilities for its own purpose. We can’t exorcise demons nothing we have found works without killing the person,” You said suddenly not hungry in the slightest as you stood up and started to clean. “I was going to just keep her locked up forever but somehow that went to hell in a handbasket, she got out…..and well… at least it was me and not someone else at the end,” you said leaving it at that.
“Y/N I’m sorry…..” Dean sighed out
“I got her back in the end once that asshole left her but it was too late, exactly how the Demons wanted it, break us up for good, and they won here I am giant safe house just for one,” You sighed out before getting back to cleaning. You heard Dean stand you felt him moving closer to you, “Don’t…..Dean none of this has anything to do with you, yes our lives are similar but I’m sure in some other time it’s the exact same story,” You said turning as you held your arms out. “None of it is anyone’s fault, Never had the best of luck but I had her while I could we knew something was going to happen sooner or later she may have been the last alpha left so target on her back,” You added moving away from him. Dean seemed to move tracking her with his eyes, “I'm fine, right now I think it be best if we turned in,” You added heading for your room. Dean didn’t seem to get the message, “Alone….right now you are responding to more than just feeling sorry for me and that won’t end well for either of us,” You added shutting your door and locking it tight. You wanted to let him in, god knows he smelled so good right now but he had his brother to get back to, he didn’t need to slip up and be stuck here. Least of all you, you were happy alone it was just easier that way.
Dean wanted to go into your room, he stood by the door leaning onto it staring at the all too familiar pattern, but he seemed to snap out of it as he backed away. What had just happened? One minute he was standing in the kitchen, he was angry at her story he could piece together what happened but at the same time he felt like he needed to comfort you then his body just moved for you. He couldn’t stop himself not till you closed the door, then it was like a swift slap to the face as he headed for his room, well he was heading that way but stopped at her sister’s room. All made sense now, why so much dust was in this room, you never opened it, never looked at these happy memories. You were still not over any of this having to kill your own sister. Sam could’ve very well ended up like this, had they not found those tapes. Dean stood heading into the extra storeroom digging, looking for that file and tape. He had to have pulled that whole room apart but nothing…it wasn’t here why was that erased from your story line, it didn’t make sense. Dean eventually relented heading off to his own room for sleep, didn’t mean he wasn’t thinking about it when he laid down in the bed.
You awoke early the next morning, no smell of coffee or bacon to wake you this time. Last night had been tough, one night sleeping next to someone you shouldn’t have been so attached but you were. You tossed and turned before letting exhaustion just take you in the end. You stretched your body under the warm covers before your feet touched the cold floor. Throwing on clothes, you fixed your hair and headed out into the kitchen. Quiet as could be when you entered, few papers out in the library Dean must’ve been looking for something last night. You fixed some coffee and it was you this time that started what was left of the bacon and the rest of the eggs. It didn’t take too long after the bacon was starting to cook before you heard a door open and footsteps down the hall. “Morning,” You said as you busied away with fixing breakfast. You got a small grunt from him in response as he got himself a cup of coffee and you could only smile at him. Food was done a few minutes later as you slid a plate in front of him that waking him up a bit more as he ate. You sat next to him eating your breakfast as well. It was early in the afternoon just turning noon when you started cooking and had planned it that way so hopefully not as may people would be out when you shopped. “So I only need a few things from the store just promise you won’t wander away, I know you’re not five and can take care of yourself but just trust me on this.” You sighed out looking at him, last thing you needed was to wander around town trying to find him. It wouldn’t be hard to find him but she didn’t want to have to deal with who else she would find with him.
“Scouts honor no wandering off,” Dean smiled as he stood to grab the plates but you beat him to it.
“I'm ready whenever you are so let me do this while you get what you need,” You added starting to clean everything back up again. As you finished the plates, setting them to dry Dean was ready pulling on his jacket and following after you into the garage. He almost opened the wrong door on your black car but he quickly realized it wasn’t his beloved impala and moved into the passenger’s side. You drove down a few backroads the leaves changing to their beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges on this fall day. The town was small maximum of maybe five stoplights handful of stores all owned locally but a few big named stores as well. “Not much but no one thinks to look for exorcists here,” you added pulling up to a grocery store. This one was smaller but had everything you needed, very few parking places along the road which thankfully were fairly empty. You moved to speak with Dean when he beat you to it,
“Don’t wander off stay close…got it,” Dean smirked.
“Actually I was going to ask if you wanted anything but ok,” You teased getting out of the car, as you had drilled it into him to not wander away but hadn’t asked if he needed anything.
“Oh….uhh no just beer…and pie I assume they have pie here at least?” Dean asked as his face looked like it would be crushed if they didn’t.
“We have pie Dean don’t worry about that,” You laughed at him shutting the door and walking in with him. You walked into the store and immediately what people were in here were looking at Dean a little surprised. You just grinned, he didn’t believe you,  you knew he hadn’t but now it was all coming together as you grabbed a small shopping basket and headed up and down the aisles for what you needed. Dean followed behind you saw he was at least happy to see this was normal but you did catch him looking around as a few people were starting trying to not be obvious but they were.
“Uhhhh Y/N,” Dean said slowly walking back to you as you grabbed a few cans of soup.
“Yes Dean, all omegas all following you around,” You laughed knowing exactly what he was going to ask. “I warned you, 0 alphas,” you added as you moved your hand to grab his arm and drag him with you. It was enough for the others to get he was with you in a nice way.
“So this is just weird can I just say that now?” Dean added staying close to you. “Why did god do this for this world,” he added all you could do was laugh.
“No idea only reason I got is we weren’t populating fast enough then we mutated to betas later on and now everyone else is just dying off since we are sufficiently populated,” She added as she was just about finished with what she needed and headed grabbing a six pack of beer for Dean. “Now pie….what?” You said as he was just staring at you.
“How are you not acting like them? If alphas have that big of an impact on omegas even without the weird hormone thing,” He asked as you just shook your head at him.
“Have you also forgotten I used to live with an alpha? Most have never seen one let alone one that wasn’t mated off…I donno I mean you do affect me but guess I can just have better self-control?” You said shrugging slightly.
“Oh so I do affect you?” he smirked moving in closer. You weren’t going to back away this time as you looked up at those green eyes.
“Yes I am still an omega I’m going to react to you happy? Now let’s get your pie before we get some unwanted company,” You teased shaking your head. You let him pick which one he wanted, not that you ate them often your sister was more obsessed with other baked goods than pie. Pie picked out you headed up the counter to pay Dean just grinning as he stayed closer to you than before getting in the way some as you kept backing into him. You couldn’t help but look at him humoring him as it was keeping everyone fully away now. Here anyways, you knew if he stepped foot in a bar there were far more aggressive omega types there. Groceries purchased you put them in the trunk of your car and Dean once again seemed to be attached to your hip now as he leaned against you slightly when you bent over to put them in.
“So what exactly do I do to you?” He asked finally you shutting your trunk and he was leaning with his arms crossed. God his smile was gorgeous, his green eyes looking at you mischievously. Well that reminded you of something else you forgot,
“How about you wait right here while I run back in and pick up what I forgot then I may tell you on the way back,” you added trying your best to flirt with him some too. Flirting was harmless, he was going back in a day or two so might as well enjoy what it was like to try the dating scene again.
“I…uh…yea I’ll be right here,” He grinned pulling out a pocketknife as he pulled a apple from his pocket. You couldn’t help but shake your head heading back into the store. You were gone maybe a grand total of three minutes as you came back and he was nowhere to be seen.
“Dean? Dean if this is a joke it’s not funny,” You smiled shaking your head moving around to the back of your car. He wasn’t there, “Dean?!” You shouted out looking around, ok now you were worried but the town looked as it always had people walking up and down the streets, cars slowly moving by, nothing seemed out of place accept you panicking. You headed back to the sidewalk, maybe he went to another store? You started to walk when an apple on the ground caught your eye around the corner. You walked over, yea that was the apple Dean had in his hand, you picked it up but then dropped it. Further, down the much quieter street you saw his pocketknife. You rushed over but as you picked it up you could smell the blood before you saw it right next to his pocketknife. It was Deans.

A Cold and Broken Hallelujah
Here’s my entry for @dr-dean‘s A/B/O Birthday Challenge! I love to read A/B/O stories, but I’ve never written one myself. I hope you guys like this one.
*ALSO* When I was finishing up this story the other day, I was struck with inspiration for a new fic. If this gets good reviews, or if there’s enough desire, I’ll go with it. Destiel isn’t my normal pairing, but I love reading it.
AUTHOR’S NOTE: THIS IS A DESTIEL FIC. IF YOU DON’T LIKE DESTIEL, DO NOT READ THIS. DON’T INBOX ME HATE. This story also contains A/B/O (Alpha/Beta/Omega) dynamics. That’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it is @dr-dean‘s, and since this was a birthday challenge, I wanted to write dr-dean’s favorite pairing.
PROMPT: “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. (He wrote it, but my favorite version is by Kate Voegele and can be found HERE.) CHARACTERS: Dean Winchester, Castiel WORD COUNT: 1738 WARNINGS: This went super angsty guys; explicit smut

“Well, I heard there was a secret chord David played and it pleased the Lord, But you don’t really care for music, Do you?
Well, it goes like this: The fourth, the fifth, The minor fall, and the major lift. The baffled king composing ‘Hallelujah.’”
Castiel stood in the doorway, leaning against it, caught in a trance. Dean’s voice floated through the small room, the only sound besides his skillful fingers picking out the melody on the guitar he held on his lap. The room was filled with a soothing, relaxed scent, mainly because Dean thought he was alone. But, he never really minded when Castiel snuck in to watch and listen to him. Castiel’s eyes were drawn to the guitar, and he watched Dean’s fingers pluck the strings.
It wasn’t too long ago that those fingers were dancing over Castiel’s skin, drawing an entirely different melody out of him.
“Your faith was strong, But you needed proof. You saw her bathing on the roof. Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you.
She tied you to her kitchen chair, She broke your throne, she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the ‘Hallelujah.’”
Castiel hadn’t understood this song the first time Dean played it for him, on an old cassette tape that his mother had mixed together herself. He knew the Bible story of David and Bathsheba, and he easily drew the comparison with that story and the first two verses of the song. The rest of it was confusing to him, but the way Dean sang seemed to make everything make sense somehow.
Well … almost everything.
“Baby, I have been here before. I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked this floor. You know, I used to live alone Before I knew you.
And I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch, And love is not a victory march. It’s a cold and it’s a broken ‘Hallelujah.’”
Castiel reached up, absently rubbing a hand over his chest. Dean had his eyes closed, fingers constantly moving over the guitar, voice growing louder now, passion and heartache and wonder echoing through the words he sang.
“There was a time when you let me know What’s really going on below. But now you never show that to me, Do you?
Remember when I moved in you, The holy dove was moving, too? And every breath we drew was ‘Hallelujah?’”
Tears gathered in Castiel’s eyes as he thought back to an hour earlier. Dean had held him and kissed him until slick was all but pouring from Castiel. His heat wasn’t for another little while, but Dean seemed to draw whatever he needed from him. Dean’s knot hadn’t even been an issue this time. He had spent a lot of time by Castiel’s neck, where he kept saying he wanted to bite and claim him, but Cas wouldn’t let him. Nevertheless, the sex was good—it was always good—but it had felt a little different.
Castiel knew why now.
“Well, maybe there is a God above, But all I’ve ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who Outdrew you.
And it’s not a cry that you hear at night; It’s not somebody who’s seen the light. It’s a cold and it’s a broken ‘Hallelujah.’
Hallelujah, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah.”
Dean opened his eyes, a smile coming over his face when he saw Castiel in the doorway.
“Hey, you.”
Castiel walked inside as Dean set the guitar on the floor, crawling into Dean’s lap and burying his face in his neck, taking in a deep breath. Dean smiled, wrapping his arms around Castiel, breathing him in, as well.
“I got you, Cas. It’s okay.”
Castiel nodded, staying exactly where he was. Dean sighed, leaning back in the chair, gently rubbing his hands up and down Cas’ back.
“Did I do okay?” “You did wonderful.”
Dean smiled.
“You’re just saying that.” “I’m not, I promise.”
Cas sniffled, lifting himself up, looking into Dean’s green eyes and giving him a smile.
“You’re going to blow them away.”
Dean’s smile widened.
“You think so?” “I know so. L.A. isn’t going to know what hit them.”
Dean laughed, leaning in to press his lips to Castiel’s. Dean’s phone started ringing, and he patted Cas’ thighs until he stood up. Dean jogged to his phone and slid his finger over the screen.
“Hello? … Hey Sammy! … Yeah, we’re still on. Booked the flight last night. … I can’t believe it, either. But how many times does one get invited to try out for The Voice?”
Castiel walked over to the guitar, slowly strumming one finger across the strings.
“You’re picking us up from LAX, right? … Don’t leave us stranded, man. I will come to Palo whatever and kick your ass.”
Dean laughed and Castiel swallowed. Dean was expecting him to be on the flight with him, to be sitting in the audience or backstage as he performed, jumping and screaming when all four chairs turned, which Cas knew without a doubt they would. Dean was expecting him to be there when he won, to run through the crowd and jump onstage as the confetti fell around them, as Dean’s dream finally came true.
But that was Dean’s dream, and Cas was going to have to let him go to let him have it.
“Yeah, yeah. Well, let me go, okay? I got to start packing. … Don’t bitch at me, Sam. You’re not my mother. … Whatever, bitch.” “Jerk.”
Castiel whispered the word, and by the smile that came over Dean’s face, it had been exactly what Sam had said. Dean ended the call, walking over to Cas and wrapping his arms around him, kissing his lips for a long minute.
“Come on, babe. Let’s get to packing.” “You go ahead. I think I’m going to give my brother a call.”
Dean’s eyebrows raised and Castiel shrugged. Dean pursed his lips and nodded, kissing Cas’ cheek before walking to their bedroom. Cas swallowed, walking to the door and grabbing his coat, slipping it on before walking outside. He pulled his phone from his pocket, scrolled through his contacts, but locked the phone back before he clicked on one of his brothers’ names. Instead, he put his hands in his pockets and took a long walk, coming home with a pizza for supper.
“Hey, there you are. You okay?”
Cas sighed, but nodded. Dean walked up behind him, kissing his cheek and wrapping his arms around Cas from behind. Cas reached up and patted Dean’s hand, leaning back against him and letting Dean’s warmth soak into his own skin. Dean’s scent quickly filled the kitchen, overpowering Cas’ scared, worried one, soothing the both of them.
They ate dinner, and once the dishes were washed and the kitchen was clean, they went to bed. Dean sat on the bed, watching Cas rub lotion on his elbows, noticing the way he kept tilting his neck from side to side. Dean walked over to where Cas was sitting, laying his hands on Cas’ shoulders, kneading gently. Cas’ head fell back, raven hair tickling Dean’s chest where it brushed against his bare skin.
“God, that feels good.” “Why are you so tense? What’re you so worried about, baby?”
Cas sighed, closing his eyes, groaning as Dean’s hands moved a little lower, increasing the pressure just a bit.
“Same old shit. Work. My family.” “Let it go for a while, baby. We’ve got a little vacation coming up.”
Cas swallowed and nodded, opening his eyes and looking up at Dean. He smiled and Dean leaned down, pressing his lips to Castiel’s, both of them slowly sinking into the kiss, letting it get a little more heated and intense than either one initially intended.
When Dean stood up and took Cas’ hand, leading him to the bed, realization slammed into Castiel like he’d been hit by a train.
This was the last time they’d be together.
They didn’t need foreplay; they usually did it just because the build-up was fun, but they both seemed to sense that tonight was different, more urgent somehow. Still, they took their time. Dean slid Cas’s pajama pants off and used his fingers in a wonderfully slow rhythm to bring Cas right to the edge. Cas slid off the side of the bed and deep-throated Dean’s cock until Dean was chanting for his Omega and Cas couldn’t stand it anymore. He straddled Dean’s waist, sliding down until he was sitting backwards on Dean’s lap and Dean’s cock was throbbing inside him.
Despite Dean’s repeated requests, Cas rode him slowly, feeling Dean’s knot growing, catching on his rim every time Cas sank down. The little hitched breaths Cas kept giving, along with the squelch of Dean’s cock slipping through the slick Cas continued to produce drove Dean right to the edge, and he finally surged up, pushing his cock deep into Cas, pushing his knot inside and keeping it there, locking them together as Cas wailed his name as he came between them, untouched. Dean threw his head back and moaned as he came as well, thick ropes of Alpha come filling Castiel.
Cas finally collapsed onto Dean’s chest, curling up on him, using what he could reach of him as a pillow. Dean kissed the top of Cas’ head, wrapping his arms around him. He did his best not to jostle them too much as he reached for the blankets at the end of the bed and pulled them up and over them.
“I love you, Dean.”
Dean smiled, rubbing his hand over Cas’ back.
“I love you too, Cas. Always.”
In the morning, when Dean woke alone, he didn’t think much of it. Cas got up early sometimes, went for a run or a walk or to get breakfast. But when time went on and Cas didn’t come back, Dean got a little worried. When he called Cas’ cell phone and found the number was disconnected, his worry grew. And when he got up and realized that Cas’ most favorite things were gone, he grew frantic, calling every family member he had a number for, all their friends.
Only one person answered, telling him that Cas was fine, but it was over. Dean needed to go chase his dreams, and Cas wouldn’t be joining him.
That was when he realized exactly what it meant.
Love was a cold and a broken hallelujah.

The Point Is Probably Moot
@dr-dean’s ABO Birthday Challenge prompt: Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield pairings: destiel, one-sided michael/dean word count: 2.6k tags: no warnings apply, angels!au, A/B/O, alpha!cas, omega!dean, pining, angel courting ao3
Ever since they were fledglings, Castiel has been a little in love with Dean.
Their creation was an act of love, and God’s love sustains them. All angels experience the love of their angelic family and of their particular Choir. From the time they are able to fly angels share in that community.
But since his maturation, Castiel has known that his love for Dean extends beyond the norm.
When they were small, the hours spent playing amongst the clouds, visiting various celestial bodies, and singing praise were cherished. Castiel has so many fond memories of the play of light through Dean’s tawny wings, the sound of his laughter, and the way his freckles bloomed across the bridge of his nose.
As he grew older, Castiel proved himself to be an excellent strategist and a brilliant warrior. His alpha disposition guided him in his assertiveness, his athletic ability, and his devotion to defending his fellow angels.
Michael the Archangel was quick to bring Castiel into his Choir of soldiers, to herald him as a leader and an alpha of high status.
And, unfortunately, to move in on Castiel’s best friend.
It wasn’t obvious at first, and it may not even have been an intentional act of aggression on Michael’s part. Castiel had gone to great lengths to ensure that no one would know of his deep fondness for Dean, lest the feeling go unreciprocated or be rejected. So Michael almost certainly did not look down at his battalion one day, peer into Castiel’s grace, and turn his affections towards the one for whom Castiel’s spirit sings, but it happened regardless.
While Castiel holds Michael in great esteem and loves him as he loves the whole of his Choir, of his angelic family, he is finding it more and more difficult to contain the unhappiness he feels at seeing Michael and Dean together. He feels resentful and ashamed. Michael brings Dean many tokens, smiles brightly at him, offers his hand when they walk, and every time he sees it, Castiel’s heart aches even more.
:     :     :     :     :
Dean visits Castiel at his nest on Thursday, as usual. Dean’s work with the fledglings always ends early, as does Castiel’s work with his Choir during times of Peace.
So it's not unusual when Dean flops bodily onto the large plush couch in Castiel’s living room. “Heya, Cas.”
Dean has been using that nickname for centuries, ever since they still had their fledgling feathers and baby fat on their cheeks.
“Hello, Dean,” Cas replies from his spot at the kitchen counter. “Would you like something to eat?”
“Whatever you have handy is fine, don’t worry ‘bout me.” Dean grins.
Cas brings Dean a piece of fruit and settles at the other end of the couch. His inky black wings stretch out behind him, draped off the edge. Dean’s flutter, as if in response.
“Thanks,” Dean mutters as he bites in the sweet skin. “How are you? It’s been a few days.”
“Yes,” Cas agrees. “It has. You have been busy, it seems.”
Dean raises an eyebrow at him. “What’s that supposed to mean Cas?”
He grimaces internally. “I just meant that you’ve been working, as have I. And, well. Spending time with our Choirs and such.”
Dean‘s eyes flicker over Castiel’s form, brow still furrowed. “I guess so,” he says slowly. “Would still feel better if I was making time to see you, though.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, I mean, you’re my best friend and all.”
The balloon of hope that had risen in Castiel’s chest deflates mightily at Dean’s statement. It shouldn’t really, Castiel knows that they’re best friends. Aside from Dean’s broodmate Samuel, there is no closer pair. But he feels empty nonetheless, wanting. His grace longs to mingle with Dean’s in a way that is reserved for mated pairs.
Despite his devotion to their Father, Castiel knows that his heart has belonged solely to Dean for millennia. And he feels sadder by the day to know that such a love will never be reciprocated.

I Hate Myself For Loving You
This was written for @dr-dean   A/B/O Birthday Challenge.  My song was “I Hate myself for Loving You.” By Joan Jett
2010
I knew the exact moment when Sam Winchester took back control of his body from Lucifer and jumped into the pit.  Sam was my Alpha, and I was his Omega, and we shared a special connection.
Sam had begged me to stay away from Stull Cemetery. “I need you to be safe, Y/N. I don’t want you anywhere near Lucifer.”
I fought and argued, but eventually Sam wore me down and I agreed to stay behind.  In the end I had to obey my Alpha.  There was a desperation in Sam’s touch the last time we were together that told me he did not expect to survive this.
“I will come for you, Omega.”   Sam told me as he kissed me one final time before leaving.  “If there is a way I will always come for you.”
Later I doubled over in agony when I felt the bond with my Alpha sever.  It felt like my soul was being ripped in half  That was when I knew.  Sam had sacrificed himself to save the world. My Alpha was gone.
2011
I was enjoying a night out with my friends at the bar when I smelled his familiar scent and my insides clenched.  I looked around warily and spotted his empty eyes watching me from the end of the bar.  Shit!
Sam smiled at me, a slow lazy smile that didn’t reach those cold dark eyes of his.  I excused myself from my friends, telling them I needed to use the bathroom.  I didn’t bother going to him, I knew he would find me.
When I came out of the bathroom I felt a hand on my wrist yanking me into a dark corner.
“What do you want, Sam?” I said quietly, trying to ignore the throb between my legs and the gush of slick that his touch produced.
“You know what I want, Omega.” He growled at me, his lips already on my neck searching for the claiming mark he had left there so long ago.  Back when he was MY Sam: Before Lucifer, before Hell, and before he’d become this soulless monster wearing Sam’s face.
“Tell them you have to go.” He whispered in my ear.
I tried pushing him away.  “I told you before, Sam. I am done being your booty call.”
Something shifted in those empty eyes and before I knew what was happening he had grabbed my hand and propelled me out the door.  I could barely keep up with those long legs of his.
“What the fuck, Sam? Let me go!” I protested, trying to yank my hand from his iron grip.  When he got outside he pushed me up against the wall, his large body covering mine.  He ground his erection into me.  I could feel how aroused he was. I was just as turned on.  Despite my protests, Sam knew he touch set me on fire.
His lips covered mine and he kissed me until I was a moaning, pliant mess in his arms.  For a second I swore I saw my Sam looking back at me, but then the moment passed and the cold hard stranger who was my Alpha returned. In the end he knew I would give in.  I always gave in.
“Alpha.” I whispered finally, and he knew he had won.  He grinned in victory.
“I told you I would always come for you, Omega.” He murmured as he pulled me towards his car,
I think of you every night and day,
You took my heart then you took my pride away.
I hate myself for loving you,
Can’t break free from the things that you do,
I want to walk but I run back to you,
That’s why I hate myself for loving you

Two weeks ago, I’d been on a camping trip with my two step-brothers, Scott and Chris, when my life had forever changed. One second, the hiking trail had been clear and safe; the next, some kind of animal was jumping out of the brush and fighting my breakfast sausage out of my hands. I later learned that the animal had been a wolf, but that realization only came when I had my first Shift three days later.
Though the night had escaped my memories, when I woke up in an unfamiliar mansion to an unfamiliar group of faces the next day, they filled me in on the details. The man in front—tall, with deep brown curls that were almost as distracting as his thick, muscular shape—had told me that I had Shifted the night before and ended up on their doorstep. And yes, Shifters—not werewolves, as most fantasy books called them—were real, Walter informed me during my surprised silence.
Walter Marshall—that was the stunning stranger’s name. He was an Alpha of one of the two packs that lived in this mansion, and I was more than welcome to join them. I couldn’t quite wrap my mind around what had become of myself—and I knew better than to hope that my family would understand—so I accepted the generous offer.
I had been with the pack for three weeks now. Winnie Marshall, Walter’s twin sister, was the Alpha for the mansion’s other pack. Walter had found me first—he had actually been the one to stop me from giving into my animalistic instincts on the night he found me, and had been the one to bring me in from the pouring rain—and technically had claim to me. But, because I hadn’t officially been claimed by him, Winnie argued that she had as much right to me as her brother did. So she took me under her wing. She’d explained everything to me, been there in my moments of panic and embarrassment to assure me that everyone goes through this, and it’s not going to last forever.
The only other two people in the house that were my age were two betas. One of them, a young man named Mike (though everyone called him Mikey), was the center of attention at the mansion, though he surprisingly had his eyes set on the quiet girl who loved books. Her name—I met her last, simply because she’d locked herself in the library for a week-long reading challenge—was Amber Connelly. As the only other beta under the age of thirty, she had an… interesting relationship with Mikey. And by that I mean they were both head over heels for each other, though they only ever bickered, and neither of them seemed aware of the others’ feelings. But they never acted on their feelings, and no one ever expected them to, simply because Mikey was Walter’s Beta, and Amber was Winnie’s, and packs didn’t mix, especially if their was a chance of a Claiming.
Claiming—that was the part of all of this that had intrigued me the most. It started with a bite. One person had to bite their partner directly over the heart, hard enough to leave a scar that would be there forever. In another sense, one wolf had to mark their partner as their territory. It was possessive in every sense of the word, and I couldn’t deny that deep down inside of me, I wanted to share that intimate, lifelong promise with Walter.
It was insane for a number of reasons. Not only had I met the Alpha just a few weeks ago, but I wasn’t even officially in his pack, and a Claiming with an Alpha would make me second-in-command. There were a few steps I would be skipping if that happened. Not to mention that Walter Marshall was the only unclaimed Alpha over the age of thirty-five in the entire city, and there was a reason for that. I didn’t know the details, but I knew it had something to do with his past. Our age was another factor. He was almost 40, while I had just turned 25.
And yet, here I was, wanting his mark anyways. He was quiet and reserved enough to make him mysterious, and that only pulled me in more. In the first week I was there, I found any way I could to talk to him, mainly to thank him for giving me a safe place for this new season of life. But he had disappeared with Andy and Charles Barber—two Beta brothers—for an entire week. Winnie had only said that they were taking care of business on the other side of the city, but when the three men came back, there was a darkness to all of them that told me whatever they had been doing… It hadn’t been fun.
Walter was harder to reach in the days that followed. When I would knock on his office door and ask him if he was able to train me today—something both he and Winnie insisted on their packs doing in their daily routine—he would snap and order me to leave, the sound of his growl following me out the door. He apologized for his behavior three days later, and bought takeout from my favorite restaurant to make it up to me, but I still couldn’t forget that side of him. The side of him that turned his soft blue eyes completely black. The part of him that was all animal, only selfishness and cold edges.
And yet, even after all of that, I still wanted him. I’d lost count of the number of times I’d woken up panting in the middle of the night, rising out of a dream of those blue eyes looking down at me as he fucked my throat, making me gag and cry around his cock. The sound of my own moans had forced me awake before dawn this morning. The memory of Walter’s intense gaze holding my reflection’s as he fucked me in the bathroom had followed me all day.
I was still wound up as I made my way to the game room. The smell of alcohol was strong throughout the house. The packs were celebrating Walter and Winnie’s thirty-eighth birthday tonight, and everyone, it seemed, was intent on getting blackout drunk. There were three kegs in the living room. It took Shifters a lot longer to get drunk, so I wasn’t surprised to find that the kegs were already halfway empty by the time I filled a cup for myself.
But I was surprised to find Walter perched on the roof when I made my way up to my regular hiding spot. He didn’t look over at me when I climbed onto the roof, but he didn’t seem startled when I took a seat beside him, and I knew his Shifter senses had probably heard me before I’d even climbed up the stairs that led up here.
“I see you stole my hiding spot,” I remarked as I took a sip of my beer.
“This way my hiding spot first, actually.” There’s amusement in his eyes as he looks at me out of the corner of his eye, but the amusement is only a cover. I note the darker emotion hiding beneath, and I recognize it instantly. It’s the same thing I’ve been feeling since my first Shift.
Loneliness.
“So technically you stole it from me,” Walter continued, giving me a ghost of a smile.
Though the air was light between us for once, I couldn’t stop myself from asking, “Why are you hiding on your birthday?”
He sighed and looked out at the valley below us. The city lights reflected in his eyes, making the blue in them sparkle. He chugged back the rest of his beer before answering, “I’m thirty-eight tonight.”
“So I’ve heard.” The light tone was clearly forced, but I continued anyways. “Congratulations.”
His long fingers parted thick curls before he clutched the roots of his hair and squeezed, looking frustrated and… defeated. “I’m thirty-eight—and I still don’t have a goddamn mate.”
Oh.
I didn’t know what to do. Part of me was more than ready to say, Take me. Claim me. I’ll be your mate. But I knew that was overstepping. I didn’t know how to comfort him.
“Walter—” I began.
He shook his head. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t burden you with this. I think I’ve had a few too many drinks.”
We both knew that was a lie. He was too collected to be drunk. Everything—save for his brutal honesty—screamed completely sober.
“I just…” He went on, then stopped himself.
I put a hand on his arm and had to physically force myself not to lean into the warmth of his body heat. When his blue eyes met mine, I nearly lost control. God, I wanted him. I wanted to ran my hands through his hair; wanted to know the way his moans sounded as he filled me up; wanted to feel his mouth on me—
I shook my head in an attempt to clear my mind. “It’s okay,” I told him. “You can tell me.”
He hesitated.
“You’ve been there for me since I got here,” I pointed out. “It’s only fair that I do the same for you.”
His eyes scanned my face, and I got the feeling that he could see into my soul. It unnerved me as much as it made me want to bear myself to him. He finally said, “You don’t owe me anything, Erin. I was being a good Alpha.”
“You let a stranger into your home,” I argued. “That qualifies as more than simply being a good Alpha. There’s other packs in the city, yet you were the only one who opened your door to me. And you’ve let me stay here when you could have just as easily sent me away. You’re not just a good Alpha, Walter, you’re…” I almost said, you’re everything, but I caught myself.
But the way he looked at me… I had a feeling that he heard what I didn’t say.
“And maybe you think I don’t owe you,” I went on, “but I want to be there for you. I want to give you whatever you need.”
His eyes left my face to stare at the hand I placed on his arm. He reached for it, and at first I thought he was going to push me away, but he simply held my hand between his own. He opened my fingers and stared at my palm as if he was going to tell me my future. A thick, calloused finger traced across the lines on my palm. The touch was simple and gentle, but it made me shiver nonetheless.
“I’m the only Alpha in the city without a mate,” he finally admitted. “That fact has never bothered me before. I always liked being on my old. I thought I was better that way. It was enough always having to keep an eye on Winnie; I never had a want for someone else to look out for.”
“But now…?” I guessed there was a “but” in that sentence.
His focus was locked on his fingers as he traced the outline of my hand. Something about the way his rough skin felt against mine… It made heat stir in the pit of my stomach. I didn’t realize I had started to lean into him until there was just a few inches of space left between us.
“But now,” he finally said, and sighed. “Now I find myself wanting something I don’t know if I can have.”
“A mate?” Why couldn’t he have that?
“You.” He finally met my gaze, just as the words clicked in my mind.
Heat made my cheeks burn bright red as I repeated his words. “M-me? What do you mean?”
“I mean I want you.” His gaze was unapologetic, yet the twist of his mouth… I could tell he was fighting some internal battle. “When I first saw you in that back alley, hiding under that shed from the rain…”
I was silent as he spoke, simply because I’d never heard all the details of what had happened that night, and Walter was the only one with that memory.
“I had Shifted too,” he admitted. “The pack Shifts together on full moons. The Omegas and some of the Betas are less overwhelmed by it if we’re all together. But something had drawn me away from the pack, like some string had pulled me out onto the streets…”
Only once he said something did I realize that I did remember a part of that night. It wasn’t a memory of what had happened, but rather… a feeling I had gotten. Like someone had been calling my name and I had gone in search of them.
“I’d never experienced anything like that before,” Walter continued. “And when I found you, shaking from fear and the cold… I knew I had to do something. The urge to protect you was overbearing. So I brought you home. I told myself it just from the intensity of the Shift that I felt like that, but when you Shifted back the next morning… I knew I couldn’t just let you walk away. So I told you to stay, and I knew that if you had said no, I would have done anything to change your mind.”
“Walter…” My voice was a quiet whisper as my thoughts began to race. “Do you think… That feeling… I felt it too. Is that what…”
“What having a mate feels like?” he guessed.
All I could do was nod. Somehow I already knew the answer, but I needed to hear him say it.
“Maybe.” When his gaze met mine, I realized he looked as lost as I felt. “I couldn’t say one way or another; I’ve never had a mate. But if it is…” He finally dropped my hand, only to cup my face and pull me towards him. “Listen to me, Erin. Even if…” He paused, as if he was struggling to say it out loud, too. “Even if we’re mates, that doesn’t mean you have to choose me. You can walk away. Hell, you can even…” He practically flinched at these words, as if saying them was a physical blow—“You can even choose someone else. Another man. I’m not going to force you into anything.”
I didn’t know what to say. “I think I want another drink.”
Disappointment flashed in his eyes, but it was gone in a blink. He rose to his feet, insisting that he get it for me. I watched him walk away. He took four steps—and froze. His entire back went rigid, too stiff for a human. His Shifter instincts had picked up on something.
I froze, wondering what was happening, what he had picked up on.
But he merely turned to face me again. Slowly. “Erin.”
I tried to sense his source of distress, but I couldn’t pick up on anything. The only thing I picked up on was how that look in his eyes sent heat straight to my core. “What is it, Walter?” I was on my feet and closing the distance between us in a matter of seconds.
“Don’t move!” he practically yelled.
I paused, almost jumping at his volume.
His eyes were wild, frantic, looking like an animal caught in a trap.
“What’s wrong?” I asked again, resisting the urge to reach out to him.
“Do you know what’s happening to you?” Every muscle in his body was taut as he asked the question.
I frowned. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He simply said, “You’re going through heat.”
Oh.
Winnie had explained that to me on one of my first days here. She’d said it happens to every female Shifter. Her hormones—particularly the horny ones—exploded, and every male Shifter around her could sense it. Apparently, it drove the males as crazy as the females, though it was dangerous to be an Omega—specifically an unclaimedOmega—around any Alphas while in heat.
That’s why Walter wasn’t moving, wasn’t even breathing: he was trying not to pounce on me and take what he wanted. What we both needed.
All those dreams about him… They finally made sense. I was preparing for my first heat.
Only once he brought it to my attention did I realize just how hot I was. My heart was hammering in my chest, flames boiling beneath my skin, and—god, when had I gotten so wet?
“Walter…” My voice was a high-pitched whine.
“You’ll be okay.” He didn’t sound convincing in the slightest. The look in his eyes matched the relentless ferocity rising in my core.
God, I needed him. “Please…”
He squeezed his eyes shut. “I can’t, Erin. We’re both unclaimed. I won’t be able to control myself—”
I took a step towards him—and practically cried out. The burning in my core—between my legs—it was unbearable. I needed to ease the ache inside of me. My hand moved of its own accord towards my legs, and before I knew it I was touching myself over my jeans.
Walter’s eyes were locked on my hand. “Erin… you’re killing me.”
“Please, Walter,” I begged, my body no longer under my control. “I need you. I can’t breathe—”
That was when he kissed me. He wasn’t the first person I had kissed, but he felt like the first person who mattered. Our mouths molded together and I moved against him in a way that said, I’m choosing this. I’m choosing you.
“God, I can smell you,” he breathed into my neck, his low voice nothing more than a moan. “You’re already wet for me, baby.”
All I could do was moan as he pressed me against his erection. His mouth trailed down my neck, over my clavicle, and stopped over my heart.
“I want you,” I cried out as I ran my hands through his hair. “Mark me, Walter. Please.”
He brought his mouth to my chest, but he didn’t bite me like I expected him to. Instead, he brushed a soft kiss against my skin. I whined as he pulled away and moved me from his lap.
“Did I do something wrong?” I panicked, feeling like an idiot—
“No,” he assured me. “You’re… god, you’re perfect. But I’m not about to fuck you on the roof. I doubt you’ll want the entire neighborhood to hear you moaning for me.”
My face flushed instantly, but I didn’t say anything as he rose to his feet and pulled me inside, not stopping until we were in his room. An Alpha’s room was a place very few people ever saw. It was more intimate than a regular bedroom; it was stepping into his territory, walking onto his turf, and I knew that something had permanently changed between us as I crossed the threshold into the room.
The room was rather simple. A king-sized bed was pressed against the left wall. The crimson sheets were the only color in the room. The right side of the wall had a desk covered in files and papers. Newspaper clippings hung above it, stamped into the wall with thumb tacks. I didn’t have a moment to read what all the papers were about before Walter distracted me.
He arms wrapped around me as he lifted me up in the air. My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist. I clung to his shoulders, but he held me easily, as if I weighed no more than a few pounds. The show of pure strength did nothing to help the wet mess between my legs.
Walter walked us to the bed and lied me down on my back. He hovered over me but didn’t move to touch me. The longing and lust in his eyes was so vibrant, so undeniable, that I writher beneath him.
But his tone was calm as he said, “I need to ask you again. Is this what you want, Erin?”
“So much,” I breathed before pulling him against me.
His thigh moved between my legs, and he deepened the kiss as his leg pressed tightly against my core, applying pressure where I needed it most. Though our hands ran along each other’s bodies in a hungry frenzy, he kissed me differently than he had on the roof. It wasn’t rushed or desperate this time, but rather deep and slow and just as sensual. My toes curled.
I cried out as his mouth moved to my ear. He nipped at my earlobe—an action that sent shivers through my body—before whispering, “What is it, baby girl? What do you want? My fingers?”
I writhed against him.
“My mouth?”
Oh, fuck.
“Both?”
A wanton moan escaped me before I could stop it.
“Or are you already too desperate? That’s what it smells like to me. My little omega’s falling apart and I haven’t even touched you yet. You’re already desperate for me to fill your aching cunt, aren’t you, baby girl?”
His tone was different than I’d ever heard it. He spoke in a low, husky voice, and his tone was teasing but demanding at the same time. It made me dizzy.
“Already forgotten your words, omega? Has the heat gotten to your brain?” He buried his face in the crook of my neck and rubbed his nose along the skin below my ear. He was scenting me. “Or is it your Alpha who’s gotten to you?”
Instead of answering, I clawed at his clothes desperately, trying to undress him in my lustful haze. He allowed me to take his shirt off, though he undid his pants himself. His body… how was he even more impressive naked? I took one look at those sculpted muscles, at the dark swirls of hair that covered his chest and stomach, and knew that that was the kind of body that put the gods to shame. His cock bounced against his stomach as he stepped out of his underwear. It was thick and long, and as I watched the red, aching tip release pre-cum, I wondered how I could possibly fit his girth inside of me.
“My turn,” he breathed before moving to hover over me again.
One minute I was clad in my shorts and t-shirt, and the neck my clothes were in shreds on the floor. Walter’s hungry gaze made note of every inch of skin I beared for him, and I was too fucked out to feel self-conscious.
“Fuck me, Alpha,” I begged. “I need you inside of me!”
He growled before spreading my legs and pressing his length against my core. Our lips met just as he pushed inside me, and my nails dug into his shoulder at the burst of pleasure that ripped from me. His mouth was on my chest a second later, and as he kneaded my breasts in his hands, his teeth cut into the skin over my heart.
Claiming me.

Annual Writing Self Evaluation 2021
Thank you so much @parmahamlarrie for the tag :)
1. Number of stories posted to AO3: 6
2. Word count posted for the year: 209,063
3. Fandoms I wrote for: One Direction
4. Pairings (some are secondary pairings): Harry Styles/Louis Tomlinson
5. Story with the most Kudos/Bookmarks/Comments:
Kudos: “With My Body And Soul, I Want You More Than You’ll Ever Know” Bookmarks: “You’ve Got A Higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime” Comments: "With My Body And Soul, I Want You More Than You’ll Ever Know” but it’s close with “You’ve Got A Higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime”  :)
6. Work I’m most proud of (and why): "You’ve Got A Higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime” because I’ve worked so much on this one, it was such a long process and I just love the story and the characters so much. I miss them a lot. I miss writing about them. This story has a special place in my heart.
7. Work I’m least proud of (and why): Oh that’s hard. I don’t think there is any work I’m not proud of, but if I had to choose I would say “You Are My Dancing Queen” It’s one of the first fics that I’ve written and I think I’ve grown as a writer since then.
8. Share or describe a favourite review you received: Oh I can’t choose really. Every time someone takes the time to leave a comment on any of my fics just means so much to me. It touches me that people read my works and appreciate them.
9. A time when writing was really, really hard: Well, writing "You’ve Got A Higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime” has been hard at time I’m not going to lie. I had doubts, and sometimes was a bit blocked, but my lovely betas were always there to help and lift me up.
10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: "You’ve Got A Higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime” was the first ABO I’ve written, so a lot of scene were a discovery and a little challenge. But strangely enough, I loved writing the chapter of Louis’ birthday. I hadn’t planned that chapter at the very beginning and it just came to me, now I just love it. Don’t really know why hehehe.
11. A favourite excerpt of your writing: I don’t think I can choose from all my fics really, but the ice cream puns in “Summer Sun, Somethings Begun” are something that made me laugh a lot when I looked them up. They weren’t originally planned in the story and I’m so glad I got the idea and added them. I think it just gives the story that little something.
12. How did you grow as a writer this year: Oh my, I grew so much. With my writing skills, my confidence, my ideas. That’s basically thanks to my betas and my friends who helped and pushed me so much, and of course the readers who gave me such nice reviews and made me want to go on. If you read my first fic and the ABO, you can definitely see the difference. I didn’t think I would ever write something like “You’ve Got A higher Power, You’re Once In Any Lifetime” but I did, and I’m so happy.
13. How do you hope to grow next year: Oh I don’t know. I just hope I’ll keep making reader smile (or maybe cry hehehe sorry) and escape for just a little time.
14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): Oh there are a lot, but my betas  and friends Vero, Ash, Caroline, Rachel and Blue helped me so much, they are amazing and I couldn’t do this without them, that’s for sure. I love them so much. @larryyouknow is a constant support, I love her a lot. Of course there are so many amazing writers that I look up to and wish to reach the level maybe some day, but Lena, who wrote “Take Me To Church” and who is my friend too, is such an inspiration.
15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: Yes, a lot of details in each fic are from my real life, or just me. Like places, names, character traits,... It would be too much to list hehe.
16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: I don’t know if I am in any place to give advice, but just try and remember to write for yourself first, because it makes you happy and not to please anyone. I try to remember myself of this a lot.
17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: I am currently writing my next fic, which is going to be even more personal than any other. I have written 2 chapters so far and I can’t wait to start writing again after the holidays. So more on that later next year :)
18. Tag some writers whose answers you’d like to read I think just about everyone has been tagged - but if not: @jacaranda-bloom @larryyouknow @lululawrence @loubellies @smittenwithlouis @allwaswell16 @softfonds @greenblueish @seduced-by-curls @alltheselights @falsegoodnight @afterglowslouis @sevenfeetpirates @zanniscaramouche
