“Look at me. Look at me.”

Your eyelashes warily flutter open, head falling back against Mitch’s shoulder so you can see him in the reflection.

“That’s it,” he seethes, strong arm tightening around your middle. “Such a good little whore when you wanna be, hm?”

You shiver in his embrace, enamored by the way he speaks to you. The rough edge to his voice. The low, salacious purr as his dark beard brushes your cheek. The way his long fingers toy with your clit as he fucks into you from behind.

You nod to answer his question, knowing how much he hates to be left waiting.

The corner of his mouth dances with the idea of smirking but when his eyes find yours, you watch his expression darken.

At first, you’re unsure why, until you remember what led you to this moment in the first place.

Mitch had returned home from a mission to find you in bed, curled up into a ball, clinging onto one of his shirts as you tried not to cry.

After making his way to your side, he attempted to find out what was wrong. But you didn’t really know. You were just…sad. Pulled down by the weight of your unexplainable grief. To the point where it felt like you couldn’t even breathe.

Maybe it was because you missed him. Maybe it was because you knew he’d be leaving you again not even eight hours after returning home. Maybe it was because all you wanted to do…was have him hold you.

Either way, seeing the concern in his eyes as he crouched down in front of you nearly tipped you over.

But Mitch had made himself more than familiar with you and these bouts of sadness.

And he’d learned only one thing can really help:

A good, hard fucking.

He’d kissed you with so much fervor that it forced your breath to hitch, helping ease the panic in your chest. And you wanted to thank him, but he didn’t want to hear it. He only wanted to hear your soft, needy whimpers of pleasure.

Minutes later, he had you stripped and pressed against the wall as he got down onto his knees to taste you. Of course, it wouldn’t be an afternoon with Mitch if he didn’t edge you a few times first. He kept you there for what felt like hours. Yanking you to the edge of release only to abandon you moments before you fell. It was cruel, and painful…and everything.

And once he was sure these were different tears streaming down your face, he felt satisfied.

Next, he took hold of your wrist and flung you around until your cheek met the wallpaper and his large palm met your ass.

The sharp sound echoed around the room as you groaned and tried not to squirm back into his touch.

“That’s for not telling me how much you needed me,” he hissed, teeth grazing the outer shell of your ear. Then, another spank. “And that’s for being my good little slut.”

He didn’t stop until you finally came. And just when you thought he was through…he led you over to the full-length mirror.

Which is where you’ve been for the past twenty minutes. Mitch’s stamina has always been rather impressive and today is no exception. You already know he’s holding off just so he can keep playing with you. Distracting you. Giving you enough marks and bruises to remind you of him while he’s gone.

Not that you’d really need them to remember him.

“How’s it feel, hm?” he asks, and you let your eyes trail down the veins in his arms as he continues thrusting into you. It makes you smile. “S’this what you wanted? Wanted to be thrown around and abused?”

Again, you nod, unable to answer verbally. Especially not now that his hand has found your throat to give it a good squeeze. 

“I know, baby.” He sounds proud of you. Proud of the way you’re behaving for him, even when this is all about you. “Such a good fucking girl for me. Always. Always so fucking good. Make Daddy so proud, don’t you?”

The nickname makes you gasp as your lashes begin to flutter, overwhelmed by the need for him and the pressure to your neck. 

You know he did it on purpose. Can see the smugness on his face as he reaches up to brush his thumb down your lip.

The droplets of blood that had begun to collect from a previous kiss smear across his finger and your chin as he drags it down…before bringing it to his own mouth.

You watch him suck your blood off his finger. Indulge in the way he groans, and at the way he presses his chest into your back as if to consume you.

That’s what does it for you. Staring at him, and loving him, and feeling him. You come and he’s a half-second behind. Filling you up as your knees just about give out from beneath you.

And you love the sounds he makes. Love the way he groans deeply before burying his face in your neck. As he tries to kiss you through it but can’t quite find the strength to do so as it sweeps him under.

You feel proud of the way you can make him come undone. Feel proud of how easily he loses his self-control for you. How willing he is to wrap himself around your finger.

Missing him breaks your heart.

But having him…makes it all worth it.

When he finally drops his hand from your throat, you move to speak. To thank him or whisper his name, but his head is already shaking.

“No,” he murmurs, turning you around to kiss you before dragging you back to the bed. “None of that. Just gonna hold you, okay?”

“Mitch—” you begin with a teasing smile, but his firm expression remains put.

“I mean it,” he repeats, almost as if to warn you. “Want you to be a good girl and come lay in my arms, okay?” 

“Mitch—”

“Now.”

And you smirk as you allow him to guide you down onto the mattress. His strong arms quickly encircling around your frame as he pulls you into his chest. Your face meets his slightly sweaty skin as you giggle, and he buries his lips into your forehead. 

You breathe him in for a good minute or two as he rubs his palms up and down your spin. Helping to bring you back to this moment. Even though your brain is trying to take you to the next one.

“Mitch?” you whisper, eyes falling shut as you press your mouth to his sternum, feeling the way his heart thumps against your touch. 

“Yes, baby?”

A beat.

“I love you.”

He’s still for a moment before he’s somehow tugging you closer and tangling his legs with yours.

“I love you,” he repeats back, that confident voice of his now a broken rasp. “So fucking much. Hate leaving you like this.”

“I know,” you tell him. “But you have to. I’d never want to get in the way of your job.”

“You are my job,” he tells you, with so much earnest vulnerability that it makes your head spin. “Being here with you is all I want to do. Fuck this other shit. I mean it. Just want to make you happy.”

You smile, head tilting back to see him. “You do. Always.”

He takes hold of your chin, a look of indecision on his face. Almost as if he doesn’t believe you. 

Then…he sighs, and presses his lips to yours. “Did so good for me, baby. So fucking proud of you.”

You flush at his praise, smiling as he trails his kisses down your cheek. “Always, Daddy.”

He grins. “How about I take you to dinner? Wanna just be with you before I have to go.”

The reminder makes your heart lurch but the promise of a meal with him by your side quickly distracts you. Even after everything, he’s still taking care of you.

“I’d like that,” you whisper, nuzzling your face into his palm.

He smiles. 

“That’s my girl.”

What is the appeal of series like Jack Reacher?

Jack Reacher, Evan Smoak, Mitch Rapp, Pike Logan, Scott Harvath; the list of dangerous men who do nothing but kill people all book long is quite long. I read all the Orphan X books this year, and Evan kills hundreds of people.

And I LIKE reading about it. Something about being only one thing, about being flat and deadly, like a knife, is very interesting. These men don't care for relationships, money, fame. They do ONE thing well and that is killing people.

They are the strongest, smartest and most lethal; they always come out on top, no matter how large or dangerous the threat. They are all Mary Sues.

They are very simple books about very deadly men. No politics, no subplots: just body after body.

It's because we all want to be those men, a little bit.

Good looking, smart, cunning men that can solve any problem, best any opponent, and always fight themselves out.

They're what we are told we should be like. Not the killing people part, obviously. But dangerous. Unafraid.

Myth!Loki's Hair Color: Common Depictions

Because the AI user that just annoyed me also claimed myth!Loki's canonical hair color is blonde and that's why they did that crappy blonde MCU!Loki AI art, and I am feeling spiteful cus fuck AI and that eyesore, and I need to wash that off my brain.

AND I KNOW this claim came from those people that interact with THAT ONE VERY obnoxious Sigyn stan that pretends to be a Norse mythology expert despite never providing proper citations or citing modern myth re-tellings and whines about children's story books not being accurate. Ask her to cite her claims and actually look at the sources, for the love of Loki!

LOKI HAS NO KNOWN HAIR COLOR IN THE MYTHS! THERE's NO SOURCE FOR THAT! Loki's also a shape-shifter! Loki can have their hair look like whatever the fuck they want. To my knowledge, the only gods that have confirmed hair colors are myth!Thor, who is said to a red-head, and myth!Sif being a blonde who gets a wig of magical gold to substitute her chorn hair. There's also a description of myth!Heimdall who is said to be the "whitest" god, implying blonde/white hair? Loki's only mentioned to be pretty, assumed to be Aesir -sized rather than gigantic, likely smaller than myth!Thor because myth!Thor can kick his ass and he can hold onto Thor's belt when crossing a river (Skáldskaparmál), and have scars on his lips due to them being sown shut.

Also from Gylfanning: "Loki is beautiful and comely to look upon, evil in spirit., very fickle in habit. He surpassed other men in that wisdom which is called 'sleight,' and had artifices for all occasions; he would ever bring the Æsir into great hardships, and then get them out with crafty counsel."

There's also the Snaptun stone, believed to be Loki due to the scarred lips, giving him a mustache.

The most common and widespread hair color depictions of Loki have red/ginger/orangey hair due to Loki mistakenly being thought to associated with fire because their name's too similar to the fire personification Jotun's name, Logi, because Richard Wagner fucked up in his Ring Cycle Operas and combined the two of them into "Loge". Arthur Rackham's illustrations based on Wagner's Ring Cycle are possibly the most influential in that regard because they're fucking awesome. Even GOW made their Loki depiction a red-head.

And here's a painting that looks like a ginger to me by James Doyle Penrose (1912):

The second most common hair color depiction is black hair, probably thanks to Marvel as it's most prevalent in modern depictions (e.g. Alan Cumming's Loki in "Son of the Mask", whom I fucking love).

There's also the Valhalla comics that started in 1979 (after Marvel, but I don't think that contributed AT ALL because Vallhala comics are way more myth-accurate and fucking awesome. I am just including it here because it's a black-haired Loki depiction).

There's also Eric M. Esquivel's Ragnarok n' Roll (have not read and I am not inclined to do so, but it kept showing up in my loki searches 10+ years ago and its existence was archived in my brain due to that). Is it me or does he looks like Cantinflas because of the mustache?

And surprisingly, Marvel was not the first to give him black hair. Marten Eskil Winge portrayed Loki with black hair in his 1863 painting "Loki and Sigyn."

Neil Gaiman has depicted Loki with a variety of hair colors, USUALLY as a literally "fiery" red-head (Sandman comics & American Gods book), whatever Johnathan Tucker's hair color is in the American Gods TV show, and black-haired (Norse Mythology graphic novel).

There's a brown-haired Loki depiction in Assassin's Creed (I have not played it btw).

And sometimes he's just some demonic thing with horns:

Cassidy tossed an empty cigarette pack on the table and reached for a grenadine tequila. For a moment, she found it pathetic that she was starting to turn into another Stern, locked up alone in four walls, drinking the same drink for days, smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. The only difference was that she listened to Iron Maiden instead of Alice Cooper. And she watched a rerun of the premiere gala featuring Arno and Élise.

Articles have already begun to appear on the Internet that the star of the hit film about Marie Antoinette appeared at the gala together with her partner, in which pseudo journalists melted over how beautiful they looked together.

As The Wicker Man came on, she heard her phone ring on the kitchen island. She ignored it and turned up the music.

Arno had been trying to call her for hours. And she didn't want to talk.

The phone rang again, but this time she knew from the ring that it was Jacob — as a joke, they'd set one vine as ringtones for their contacts.

She got up and answered, returning to her tequila.

"It better be important because you just interrupted my tequila enjoyment."

"That's my girl." She heard Stern's voice, and her mood worsened even more. "You didn't answer, so I figured I'd call someone else."

"What do you want?"

"We need you and your abracadabra. The perpetrator is so detached that we are unable to communicate with him."

"Maybe another time. I'm so fucked up I'd hurt him than get anything out of him. Anyway, if there's Jacob, you've got Ned and Alice with you, the other one's in psychology."

"We tried. She came in, but nothing came up. Like, by the way, three other psychologists and two psychiatrists."

"And what am I supposed to do?"

"Because I know? Figure it out. Jacob will pick you up in a few minutes. Get yourself to the point where you'll look like on a hangover, not pissed as a fart."

"Fuck you," she muttered, hanging up.

Gregory Peck is not only a certified hunk of a man but a great actor and a genuinely good person.

He starred in the film version of the novel Gentleman’s Agreement which was “Hollywood’s first major attack on anti-semitism” which features Peck as a magazine writer who pretends to be Jewish so he can experience personally the hostility of bigots and then calls out and exposes antisemitism and this film was made in 1947 like only two years after the end of World War II so historically an important film(I love this film and think its underated like its great and like Greg looks amazing as he rails against bigots). I could make an argument, and I have honeslty thought about writing a paper on it, that a majority of his films tackle some important issue whether it be antisemitism (Gentleman’s Agreement), racism (To Kill a Monckingbird), nuclear war (On the Beach), post-war discontent and PTSD (The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit), the futility of war (Pork Chop Hill) etc.

His daughter Cecilia said “ My father was a champion of stories that needed to be told, like To Kill a Mockingbird, Gentleman’s Agreement, and On the Beach. He was not afraid of films that championed diversity, equality, and tolerance. He was deeply intelligent, and also very funny in real life.”

He was against the House Un-American Activities Committee and their investigation of “alleged communists” in the film industry and signed a letter deploring their actions in 1947. He was outspoken against the Vietnam War, while at the same time supportive of his son who was fighting there. He produced the film version of the play The Trial of the Catonsville Nine about the prosecution of a group of Vietnam protestors for civil disobedience. Peck said “I decided to make the film because the play confirmed my thinking that the Vietnam War [was] an abomination.” His outspoken-ness against the Vietnam war and general political activism put him on Nixon’s “enemies list” (honestly what an icon).

He was a vocal supporter of a worldwide ban on nuclear weapons and was a lifelong advocate for gun control.

He and his wife Veronique often hosted dinners at their home in support of the arts and humanitatian or social justice causes. His daughter

He was Catholic but took a pro-choice stance on abortion and supported gay rights.

He was the president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (1967-1970) and postponed the awards following the assasination of MLK.

He was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1969 for his lifetime humanitarian efforts and he also won the Jean Hersolt Humanitarian Award.

He didnt just play the handsome hero on the big screen he was one in real life.

ISRAELI OCCUPATION BOMBS FOREIGN AID WORKERS, CONTINUES BOMBING ACROSS GAZA ON DAY 179 OF GENOCIDE

On the 179th day of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a total of 7 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 71 Palestinians, mostly women and children, while another 102 others were wounded over the previous 24-hours.

In the latest occupation atrocity, the Zionist army bombed the vehicle of a group of Foreign aid personnel working for the World Central Kitchen (WCK), killing 7 employees, including 6 foreigners.

"World Central Kitchen is devastated to confirm seven members of our team have been killed in an IDF strike in Gaza," the organization said in a statement on its website.

According to the World Central Kitchen, despite coordinating the organization's movements with the Israeli occupation army, a convoy including two armored cars branded with the WCK logo and one soft-skin vehicle that were carrying the WCK team while it was traveling through a "deconflicted zone" was struck by an Israeli bomb, destroying at least one of the vehicles.

WCK says the team was leaving their Deir al-Balah warehouse, in the central Gaza Strip, where their teams unloaded more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought to Gaza through a maritime route, when the convoy was targeted by Zionist forces.

“This is not only an attack against WCK, this is an attack on humanitarian organizations showing up in the most dire of situations where food is being used as a weapon of war. This is unforgivable,” World Central Kitchen CEO, Erin Gore is quoted as saying.

The seven foreign aid workers killed in the Zionist strike included citizens from Australia, Poland, the United Kingdom, as well as a dual-citizen of the United States and Canada, and one Palestinian.

“I am heartbroken and appalled that we—World Central Kitchen and the world—lost beautiful lives today because of a targeted attack by the IDF. The love they had for feeding people, the determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished,” Erin Gore added.

In response to the International outcry over the atrocity, the Israeli occupation authorities said they will be “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.”

The World Central Kitchen has suspended its operations in Gaza as a result of the incident.

In yet another atrocity yesterday, the Israeli occupation army bombed the Iranian consulate building in the Syrian capital of Damascus, killing several high-level Iranian officials, including 7 military advisors of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In response to the strike, Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in an announcement issued on Tuesday that the "evil Zionist regime will regret" it's crime of assasinating Iran's military advisors in Syria.

The Iranian leader said that both Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, and his deputy, General Mohammed Hadi Haji Rahimi were killed in the strike, which targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, declaring the crime was perpetrated by the "usurping and dispicable" Zionist regime.

“The evil regime will be punished by our brave men. We will make them regret this crime and other ones, by God's will," the Iranian leader added.

As Israel's crimes spread outside the occupied Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, and into the wider West Asian region, the bombing inside Palestine continued unabated.

In just one example, local civil defense crews recovered the bodies of six Palestinians who were killed, including two children, along with a number of wounded civilians, following a Zionist occupation airstrike targeting the Zarub family home, located in the city of Rafah, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

In another atrocity, several Palestinians were killed and a large number wounded after occupation artillery shelling targeted a number of residential buildings in the city of Khan Yunis, also in the south of Gaza, focusing artillery fire on the eastern and central parts of the city.

Over the last day, as the Zionist occupation army withdrew from the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, located in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, which had been the largest and most well-equipped hospital in the entire Gaza Strip, a scene of mass destruction and carnage was revealed, with hundreds of bodies littering the hospital grounds, including some bodies discovered with handcuffed wrists, having been extra-judicially executed in cold-blood.

Among the bodies recovered from Al-Shifa were doctors and healthcare personnel, along with entire Palestinian families, which the Gaza Media Office says were just a small part of the roughly 400 citizens that were killed in two weeks of fighting near the hospital.

About another 900 Palestinians were arrested or detained by Zionist forces under suspicion of belonging to Resistance groups, while the Hospital buildings themselves were nearly completely destroyed, blown to pieces and left as scorched shells by the American bombs dropped on them by the Israeli occupation army.

As a result of "Israel's" ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, the infinitely rising death toll has now exceeded 32'916 Palestinians killed, more than 25'000 of which being among women and children, while an additional 75'494 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression beginning on October 7th, 2023.

Sure, fuck Kissinger, but why tho? Henry Kissinger has played a significant role in nearly every conflict the U.S. has been involved in, from the twentieth century until now. As Nixon’s national security advisor (1969-1975) and later Secretary of State (1973-1977), Kissinger was the architect of the U.S.’s disastrous military campaign in Vietnam during which as many as two million civilians, both North Vietnamese and South Vietnamese, were killed, mostly as the result of hyper-aggressive aerial bombings.1 Despite the rehabilitated legacy he has enjoyed over the years as a “tough negotiator” for fighting for “peace with honor” among bourgeois politicians and journalists, Kissinger’s public career was devoted to destroying every foreign democracy that posed even a minor threat to U.S. hegemony. In 1970, the people of Chile elected Salvador Allende as President in a democratic election. One of Allende’s biggest accomplishments was to immediately democratize the economy, of which the U.S. held 60% of assets. Land reforms were made, and foreign-owned entities such as banks and mines were nationalized in order to lift millions of Chileans out of poverty and starvation, which were rampant.2 The U.S.’s response was to spend $8 million on a covert CIA operation to destabilize Chile’s economy and government, directed by the “40 Committee”, of which then-Secretary of State Kissinger was head.3 The 40 Committee supported a failed coup in 1970 to prevent Allende coming to power, which led to the death of the Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces in Chile, Commander Rene Scheinder. Between the time of the failed coup the CIA would support far-right groups aimed at undermining the Allende government.4 Then on September 11, 1973 a military coup enacted by four Chilean military officers led to the assasination of Allende and a military junta taking power. The Junta would decide on Augusto Pinochet to become President of Chile, which culminated in an oppressive dictatorial regime that victimized tens of thousands of people, with over 3,000 killed or disappeared.5 The CIA would continue to support the Pinochet government, helping spread propaganda to legitimize the coup and delegitimize the Allende government.6 Chile and Allende are just one of many countries where Kissinger has been involved in overthrowing a democratically elected leader. Even after Kissinger was no longer directly involved in politics, he still pushed heavily for regime changes. After 9/11 he strongly supported for a regime change scheme in Iraq, calling it “revolutionary”.7 The legacy Kissinger has created is one that pushes for regime change throughout the world on any country that poses to most miniscule threat to American hegemony. He set a precedent for bombing countries outside of an official declaration of war, like Yemen and Iraq. The body count from Kissinger’s actions while working under Nixon and from the practices he developed has reached millions,8 the least he could do is add his own body to it.
