Gran Turismo (2023)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Gran Turismo has an early scene with emergency vehicle strobe lights at night, some scenes with cameras flashing from all directions, brief strobe lights in a nightclub setting, and very quick and brief moments during racing sequences showing the pistons in the cylinders, which creates a moderate strobe effect. Apart from the brief piston shots, the racing scenes are safe and free of strobe effects. The title of the film shown near the beginning, as well as the stylized end credits, use a glitching effect.
The camera is always moving in this film. Handheld cameras are used throughout, and there are long, sweeping drone shots during all of the racing sequences, which include high speeds and banking turns.
Flashing Lights: 7/10. Motion Sickness: 8/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: There is one on-screen vomiting incident while people are running during a physical training montage.

I planted thunbergia seeds in three containers along the porch railing and they’re really just starting to bloom in numbers now.
