Joshua raises a hand to his face, holding it above his eyes to block the glaring sun as he scans the crowded shore for you. He’s been out in the water for a while, trying to improve his surfing skills and also perhaps trying to impress you, just a little. Neither you nor him have been to the beach since your honeymoon, and he doesn’t want you to think those lessons he splurged on while you were having a spa day were for nothing.
He’s caught a few waves so far but hasn’t made it close enough to the shore to see your face, so he has no idea if you’ve been watching him or if you’ve just been reading and listening to music. He won’t be hurt if you haven’t had your eyes on him, but he does want you to see him ride at least one wave.
He hears some murmurs from the few other surfers in front of him and turns around, instantly seeing what has them talking. There’s a big one coming in, building and building and building, and if he starts paddling now, he just might make it.
So he leans forward onto his stomach, his arms powering through the water even as his muscles begin to ache from so much use. The ocean beneath him starts getting sucked in, contributing to the rolling wave, and he prepares himself to pop up and find his balance.
His heart races as he takes off, getting his feet beneath him and standing on steady legs, his arms loose and his eyes trained on the shore. He rides the wave as far as he can, bailing when it starts to peter out and immediately swimming up to catch his breath. Climbing back onto his board, he looks around for your rented rainbow sun umbrella, grinning when he realizes he’s much closer to it than he thought he’d be.
You’re not under it though, his smile dropping as he starts to survey the beach, searching for you. He can’t seem to find you, and for some reason that has his heart racing again, this time in anxiety rather than exhilaration.
“Joshie! That was amazing!” You exclaim from somewhere to the left of him, your voice just a bit faint but still easily recognizable. He whips his head over, his shoulders relaxing as soon as he sets eyes on you, wading waist deep in the clear blue water and making your way toward him.
He beams and hops off the board, closing the remaining distance and catching you with one arm as you launch yourself at him. The other keeps hold of his board, though he wishes he had both hands free to hug you back.
He also wishes he could feel your skin against his, but his swim shirt is still in the way and he won’t be able to take it off until you let go of him, which he’s not going to ask you to do any time soon.
It’s silly but he’s missed you while he was out surfing, even though it’s only been a couple of hours. You’ve been on vacation for three days already and he’s grown used to sharing every minute with you, being in your presence for each breath in and each breath out, bar bathroom breaks and the one nap you took without him when he wanted to explore and you wanted to stay in.
He wishes it could be like this all the time, but he’ll settle for the rest of the week if only because he knows he’ll have you for the rest of his life.
Too soon, you pull away, sliding your hands from his shoulders to rest on his chest, your touch appreciative and the slightest bit possessive. His hand on your waist tightens, his fingers digging into the soft flesh exposed by your bikini. You let him pick out your swimsuit today, and while some men might want to cover their wife up, he’s the opposite.
He thinks it’s hot that people are looking at you, wanting you, not knowing he’s the only one you’ll ever go home with. They realize when he presses his lips to yours in a claiming kiss, when he lets his hands wander a little, when they notice the matching rings on your left fourth fingers.
He doesn’t even know if anyone is looking at you now, too busy staring into your eyes to notice anything else, but he feels the urge all the same. You can already tell what he wants, leaning in to meet him in the middle as he kisses you deeply, slowly, sucking at your bottom lip and sliding his tongue into your mouth when it opens on a gasp.
His hand slips down to your ass, squeezing it over your swimsuit hard, pulling your cheek up and over, surely tugging at your pussy too. You squirm against his chest, pressing closer to him as your fingernails dig into his pecs.
He remembers you’re at a public beach when a wave crashes into you, and thank goodness it did because he was millimeters away from slipping his hand into your bikini bottoms so he could find out if you’re wet from the water or wet for him.
He pulls away and laughs, shifting his hand to your lower back and pecking you one last time before breathing, “Should we head back to the room?”
“Yeah, I think we should. Wanna lay out enough to dry off first?” You offer hopefully, and while he kind of just wants to throw you over his shoulder and haul you to the hotel now, he knows you hate tracking water through the clean lobby.
“Sure, baby, we can do that,” he smiles fondly, giving you one last squeeze and releasing you. His board goes under one arm and you go under the other, your hand coming up to hold his as you walk back to the shore together.
He splits off from you to return the board to the surf shack, promising he’ll bring back one of those coconut drinks for you to share though he knows you’ll likely have most of it.
The line isn’t too long for the return of the board or the purchase of the coconut drink, thankfully, and he walks back to you with care, not wanting to spill even a drop.
You’re on your stomach to the side of the umbrella when he arrives, not under its shade but close enough that it’s obviously yours, a thick terry cloth blanket spread out under you with just enough room for his body too. He sighs contentedly as he sits next to you, handing over the drink and smiling as your eyes widen with glee, your lips pursing around the straw to take an excited sip.
He reaches for the hem of his surf shirt and yanks it off, wringing it out away from the blanket and laying it flat on the edge of the lounge you no longer occupy. You roll over to lay on your back and he feels your eyes on him like a physical touch, your gaze hot and familiar on his chest and stomach.
He loves how you look at him, loves that you’d rather stare at him than at the beautiful beach around you, loves even more that you’re obsessed with his body just like he’s obsessed with yours.
He also loves that this way, he can look at you too. You shift up onto your elbows, your breasts jiggling with the movement, and he feels a bolt of desire shoot straight down his spine as he lets his eyes lovingly travel over every available inch of you. Over your soft tummy and your squeezable hips and your perfect, perfect thighs. Thighs he wants to suffocate between. Thighs he wants to sink his teeth into. Thighs he wants to hold down to the bed as he-
“I think I’m dry enough. Are you?”
He clears his throat and attempts to clear his head, but images of you still swim through his thoughts, even as he nods and tugs at his board shorts to subtly adjust himself. They don’t feel as wet between his fingers, just damp, and when he reaches for his shirt, it’s close enough to dry that he only cringes a little as he pulls it back on.
You pack up together quickly, and Joshua is almost relieved when you reach for your dress and tug it over your head, needing a reprieve from your near naked body. He’s less relieved when he remembers that it’s a fucking sundress.
Of course it is, that’s all you’ve been wearing on this trip, and he doesn’t know how he forgot. This is worse, because it’s his favorite article of clothing on you, and because he knows all you’ve got on under it is an easily untied, flimsy little bikini.
It takes everything in him not to pull you into one of the changing cabanas, bend you over, and make you scream for him; he manages somehow, the knowledge that he can do the latter two when you get into the room tiding him over, but only just.
He’s silent while you return the umbrella, his hand tight around yours as you walk through the lobby, and he’s glad you know him well enough to understand that he’s not upset or annoyed, just nearly out of his mind with desire for you.
The wait for the elevator feels like eons, especially when he looks at you in the reflection of the metal doors, your form slightly fuzzy but clear enough for him to see the rise of your tits under your dress and the way the hem flutters gently over your thighs. Those thighs…
The doors part with a ding and you pull him inside, pressing the button for your floor before the elevator fills with other guests, leaving you and Joshua at the back. You’ll have to maneuver in between them to get out but it means he can slide his hand up your dress and squeeze your ass again, his fingers slipping under your bikini to touch your bare skin.
They creep closer to the heat between your legs with every stop, and he’s just about to reach your pussy when the elevator lands on your floor. He reluctantly takes his hand back and rights your dress, murmuring, “Excuse us,” as he weaves around the few people left. When the doors close behind you, he twines his fingers with yours and breaks into a jog, tugging you to the room and grinning as a few bitten back giggles escape you.
He bounces on his toes as you dig the card out of your bag, your trembling fingers inserting it into the lock and his hand turning the handle as soon as the light glows green. He pushes the door open for you, following closely with his other hand tight on your hip, his dick already hard and throbbing in anticipation.
You’ve barely set your bag down before he’s steering you to the bed, crowding you up against the edge, and pressing your shoulder to bend you over. He flips up the hem of your dress and tears down your bikini, knocking your legs apart with his own and pushing his left knee up until yours rests on the bed. He’s sure you expect him to drop his shorts and sink right into you, which is probably why you gasp when he falls to his knees and slaps your ass with both hands before spreading your cheeks apart and shoving his tongue inside of you.
You taste fucking divine, the beloved flavor of your pussy tinged with salty seawater, and he groans deeply into you, fucking his tongue in and out of your entrance and swallowing as his mouth fills with saliva and your arousal.
He fucks you with his tongue until you’re whining and shaking above him, tilting your hips to improve the angle and rocking into his movements. The leg keeping you up starts to quiver, and he pulls away just long enough to gasp out, “On the bed, baby, get on the bed.”
You listen, clumsily climbing up and stretching out for him, face down, ass up, just like he likes you. He smacks your ass again just because he can before spreading your pussy open with his thumbs and spitting on your clenching entrance. Some of it seeps inside of you and some of it trails down to your clit, leaving the bud glistening and just begging for his attention.
He leans down and wraps his lips around it, sucking in hard, quick pulses until you cry out, “Joshie, please!”
“Please what, baby? Tell me what you want,” he mumbles into you, just loud enough for you to hear.
“Your fingers, I want your fingers,” you whimper into the pillow, arching your back and pressing further into him in wanton need.
He licks his lips to get one last taste of you and slides two digits deep inside, giving you no time to adjust to the intrusion before pulling them out to the tip and sinking them back in. His pace rockets up, his tired muscles hard at work as he fucks you with his fingers, the wet sound of your pussy accepting them filling the air.
He wants to hear your voice too, slowing down and leaning over you to slide his fingers beneath your cheek and turn your head to the side so you’re no longer muffled by the pillow. Your gaze catches his and he smiles tenderly at you, pressing a kiss to your temple before returning to his previous position and hooking his fingertips into your g-spot, grinding harshly into it.
Predictably, you yelp, your eyes squeezing shut as he focuses on massaging that sensitive patch, his breath catching as he feels you get wetter around his fingers. You’re moaning now, your brows scrunched with pleasure and your mouth stuck open, and he reaches his free hand up to tap at your bottom lip with two fingers, sliding them into your mouth when you open wider for him.
You suction around them immediately, your tongue laving over his knuckles and bathing his fingers in saliva, and he feels his cock throb in his shorts in response, the memory of your perfect lips around it visceral and precious. He yanks his fingers back before he can get too distracted, reaching around you to sandwich your clit between them.
He starts fucking you with his other hand again, your hips jerking with it, stimulating your clit as he curls his fingertips towards your stomach, tapping your sweet spot with every thrust. It’s not long before you’re gasping out his name and clenching down, your thighs juddering as you fight to hold yourself up through the pleasure.
He doesn’t stop, pinching your clit harder and digging his fingers into you, scissoring them to stretch you out for another. A third squeezes in beside the first two, making you whine and claw at the duvet, your cunt contracting and trying to suck his fingers in deeper when he pulls them out.
“Fuck,” he groans, releasing your clit to press down on your back and deepen the arch, making it even easier for him to hit your g-spot. He wants to be inside of you, desperately, but he wants to make you cum again first, wants you to be so wet, he can just glide right in.
You’re getting close, he can tell by the way you’re pushing back into his thrusts and sobbing, and he doesn’t know what possesses him to say it, but it just feels so fucking right that he can’t stop the words from coming out.
“Cum for me and I’ll breed you full.”
You suck in a sharp gasp and bear down, your pussy rippling and leaking and fever hot as you break apart beneath him, your arousal soaking his hand and dripping down his wrist. It seems like it lasts forever, though he’s sure it helps that he’s still fucking his fingers into your g-spot as much as your tightness will allow.
He knows you’re done when you whimper brokenly and pull away from his touch, your hand reaching back to hold his wrist in place so he doesn’t follow you. He decides to let you catch your breath, sliding off the bed to shed his shorts and wipe his hand off on a towel, bringing it with him so he can spread it out under you like he should have done before.
You’re on your side when he returns, and he climbs back onto the mattress before carefully tugging at your shoulder and hip, pulling you to rest on your back and waiting for you to look at him.
When your eyes blink open, they’re teary and dazed, and you watch as he gathers a couple pillows, weakly lifting your hips just enough for him to slide them under you and lay the towel out on top of them. He’s gentle as he sets his hands on the backs of your knees and pushes your legs up, the angle making it easier for you to keep them tucked to your chest when your hands replace his.
He can tell your head is full of clouds by the way you gaze at him, and he attempts to bring you some clarity by asking, “Remember what I said before?”
You think for a second, your lips pouting as you try to recall, and he can’t resist leaning down over you and pressing his mouth to yours, his teeth nipping at your bottom lip before he soothes the sting with his tongue.
When he pulls away, it seems to come to you, and your eyes clear up just a bit as you respond, “You said you’d breed me full if I came for you.”
“Good, baby, that’s right. So what do you think I’m going to do now?” He asks, sitting back up on his knees and shuffling closer to lay his aching cock on your wet pussy, just barely grinding against you.
“You’re gonna-,” you take in a halting breath. “You’re gonna breed me?”
“Yeah, honey,” he nods with a hungry smirk, shifting his hips back enough to line himself up before pressing forward a few inches and popping the head of his cock inside of you. “I’m gonna fuck you full of my cum, until it’s dripping out of you. And then I’m gonna fuck it back in, and fill you up even more. Until it takes.”
You whimper from deep in your throat, pressing your lips together and readjusting your grip on your legs, your eyes darting down to stare yearningly at his cock.
“Do you want that?” He whispers, working himself in as slowly as he can manage, teasing both you and himself.
You just nod, but he wants to hear you say it, needs to hear it from your own lips.
“Tell me then.”
“I- I want you to fill me up with your cum, fuck a baby into me, please.”
He sinks the rest of his cock inside of you, covering your hands with his and spreading your legs wider, pushing them into your chest and resting his weight on them as he draws back and snaps forward.
He’s not gentle now, and he’s definitely not slow, his hips smacking into your ass as he thrusts forcefully into you, his grunts of exertion soon joining the cries escaping you. You’re staring up at him with stars in your eyes, your fingers tight on your thighs beneath his and your pussy fucking flawless around him, and he’s never been so in love.
That’s a thought he has constantly but he means it every single time, his devotion to you endless and all consuming.
His appetite for you is voracious enough to rival it; the need, the sheer greed that he feels when it comes to you stripping him down to his basest desires. He’s only human in the end, and nothing could be more human than the urge to love you, to fuck you, to breed you, to keep you. He knows you’re his already but beyond that ring on your finger, there’s one other thing that could show the world you belong to each other, and that includes pumping you so full of his cum, it sticks.
He’s getting close already just thinking about it, and the way you’re clenching and fluttering around him doesn’t help in the slightest. He wouldn’t mind breaking this early though, not when it means he can just get hard again and fuck his cum even deeper into you.
“Joshie,” you whine in the voice that means you’re inches away from the edge, and he feels his body respond, his heavy balls drawing up tight and his cock hardening further within you.
“Cum whenever you want, baby. I’m not stopping anytime soon,” he vows darkly, fully intent on keeping you in this bed and on his dick for the rest of the day. Maybe for the rest of his life.
You shudder at his words, gasping when he shifts his hips and changes the angle, the head of his cock now bullying right into your g-spot. He can’t hit as deep like this but he knows it’ll be enough to unravel you, and that’s exactly what he wants.
He grins wickedly when you start to ripple around him, knowing the waves of your orgasm are beginning to overtake you, and when it’s at its peak, he sinks in deep and lets you carry him with you. He groans roughly at the feeling of your undulating walls milking his cock, relief and bone deep satisfaction filling him as he fills you.
He doesn’t stop, doesn’t even slow down, fucking you through the sensitivity and burying his cum deeper inside of you. You buck against him in overstimulation, crying out his name with tears in your voice, and he feels his cock twitch and get harder, your pussy like a molten velvet vise around him.
An hour and two more loads pass by in a blur, every minute melting into the next as he ruts into you, barely pulling back enough to get any friction but grinding into your sweet spot to keep you pliant. He thinks he might’ve fucked you dumb, no words escaping your parted lips and no thoughts behind your glassy eyes. You’re still holding your legs up though, and that’s how he knows you’re present enough to hear him.
“Said I would fuck you full, didn’t I, baby?” He laughs breathily, his eyes trained on the sight of his cock thrusting into you, the combination of your arousal and his cum seeping out around him in bursts. “I think you’re pretty fucking full.”
You mumble something but he doesn’t catch it, and he shifts your legs onto his arms and leans down, bracing his hands on the bed to hold himself up. “What was that, honey?”
“Not enough,” you gasp out, releasing your thighs to wrap your arms around his neck. “It’s not enough, Joshie, I want more.”
Your words blend together but he hears them all the same, and a jolt of desire surges through him, traveling down his spine and ending in his cock. He gets his legs under him, trapping you in a mating press so he can put more power behind his hips as his strokes get deeper, longer, your fingernails digging into his neck with every thrust of his aching dick.
“I can give you one more, baby, I’ll give you whatever- whatever you want,” he groans raggedly, his vision blurring and his hips stuttering as he nears the edge for what he fears may be the last time. You clench and squeeze and flutter around him, whimpering, “Please, Joshie, breed me,” and that’s it for him.
This time when he cums, it’s enough to steal his voice, his breath, his thoughts. It’s blinding, the pleasure, but that just means he feels everything. He feels you falling to pieces on his cock, he feels the warmth of the sunset on his back, he feels his heart racing in his chest. He feels his cum filling you again, replacing what he’s fucked out, and more than anything, he feels satiated, like there’s nothing left to give and nothing left to take.
He all but collapses into you, shifting to rest his knees on the bed and dropping your legs from his arms, his face buried in your neck as he trembles and gasps for air. Your cunt is still hugging him tightly, and he winces at the sensitivity of his spent cock but doesn’t pull out, can’t pull out, not when he knows that all of his hard work will go to waste as soon as he does.
You run gentle fingers through his salty hair, your chest slowly rising and falling against his, and his body starts to grow heavy, exhaustion weighing him down and the comfort of your pussy keeping him warm.
He’s asleep before the golden light of the sun fades from the sky.

“Joshua, with everything we said, I have to ask… Have you changed your mind about kids?” You ask softly, your back to his chest and your body between his legs as you laze in the massive hotel bath together.
He presses his lips to your neck and thinks, only for a second, before responding, “No, I’m happy with our life. I don’t need anything but you.”
You let out a sigh of relief and turn in his arms, resting your cheek on his shoulder and tucking your legs up, your knees just barely out of the water. He scoops some up and pours it over you, not wanting you to get cold.
“Good, I feel the same way.”
“Love you,” he murmurs into your hair, kissing your crown and rubbing his hand up and down your back.
“I love you,” you whisper in return. “The breeding kink was hot though, let’s keep that?”
“Oh yeah, baby, for sure.”

Meeting Joshua's childhood friends was one of those ideas that's good in theory, but not so much in practice.
What you thought was going to be a short, easy-going dinner to catch up and possibly ice cream afterward turned into hours of bar-hopping and blaring music. Neither of those things you're rather opposed to per se, but the bar they wanted to visit next was in an unfamiliar part of town, with people you've only just met, and it's nearly one in the morning. So your nerves start to get the better of you.
"You okay?" Joshua leans down to whisper in your ear when your grip on his hand tightens. You just nod in response, too focused on keeping pace with the group to voice your worries.
"There it is!" One of his friends shouts, arm extended towards a building with multiple glowing neon signs and music pumping inside that can be heard from down the street. The building itself looks sketchy at best and the crowd waiting to get in even more so. Even Joshua, who's never been opposed to a little adventure, seems hesitant. He stops just a few feet from the back of the line.
"Guys wait up, are you sure this place is okay?"
His friends shrug, "Yeah, it's totally chill in there! We know people that come here all the time." They waste no time hopping in line and striking up a conversation with the group of three men in front of them. They're all pretty tall and bulky, eyeing you in a way that makes you feel like prey.
You really don't want to be here, but you also don't want to ruin Joshua's time with his friends he hasn't seen in years. So you tuck yourself closer into Joshua and divert your eyes to the unwashed cement below.
Joshua turns himself away from the group to shield you and mumbles low enough for only you to hear. "Hey, you're safe with me." His words prompt you to lift your head and meet his gaze. You swear you've never seen him look so serious in his life. "If you're uncomfortable just give the signal and we'll leave, okay?"
"I don't like it here," is all you say, and that seems to be enough for him to understand.
"Sorry guys," he announces to his friends. "It was nice catching up, but I've got an early schedule tomorrow. So I think I'm gonna call it a night."

*****
“What the hell..?”
You gawk at the sight in front of you, fingers clutching the towel wrapped around your body, still slightly wet from the shower.
“Hop on, baby. Gonna fuck you on it,” Joel growls standing at the side of the bed with a pile of 100 dollar bills scattered all over the ugly motel bedding. You two always fuck like rabbits after the heist but this is new.
His dark gaze is set on you as his bare foot pushes an open bag full of stacks of cash out of the way and he stalks towards you. He’s naked except for a towel hanging low on his hips, just out of the shower too. His slicked back hair is dripping wet, pupils are blown, as the adrenaline of the job is still coursing through his veins. A noticeable lump under the towel tells you he’s not going to tell you twice.
Your nervous giggle breaks the silence as you shuffle back from him, raising your hands in the air.
“N-no, Joel. It’s dirty…and we’re wet. No!”
He steps up close, caging you against the opposite wall, a smirk on his handsome face.
“ ‘course it’s dirty, baby. We earned it with our guns.”
His arms snake around your body and he squeezes you in his python-like grip.
“No, literally dirty,” you mumble as his embrace quickly overwhelms you, making you feel small and helpless. Your pussy is gushing for him as a drop of fear adds to the arousal pooling deep in your lower belly. He’d never hurt you but the terror that you saw in people’s eyes today at the bank is still fresh in your mind.
“Wanna eat you out on this dirty cash.”
His whisper sends chills down your spine as he slowly pulls you to the bed.
You follow him like you always do and in a second you both fall on the pile of money. He pins you with his massive side as your back dips into the heap of bills. Their crinkling sound mixes with your whimper when Joel unwraps your towel exposing your naked body to the cold air of the motel room. Your skin erupts in goosebumps and he groans at the sight of you.
He puts his big warm palm over the base of your throat and then glides it down between your breasts over your heaving belly and to your pussy that is already throbbing for him. He cups it and slightly squeezes your flesh like it belongs to him. It does belong to him.
“Tommy'll kill us,” you moan, lifting your hips into his touch. Joel nuzzles your cheek, breathing in your scent and then nibbles on your earlobe.
“He’s gettin’ shitfaced in some bar, baby. By the time he’s back and sober it’ll all be in the bag.”
“Do you trust me to keep this a secret, Miller?”
“Trust ya with my life, baby,” he rasps and kisses you.
It’s full of fire and passion as his tongue tangles with yours inside your welcoming mouth. The bills splash around when Joel takes his towel off, not leaving your lips even for a second, and shifts his body to get between your thighs, elbows planted by your shoulders. His hand slides under the back of your head, keeping you in place for him to devour.
The outside world stops existing when he holds you under his massive body like this. No more people, problems, fears, concerns. You’re not running anymore. Even if this feeling is fleeting, you cherish it like the most valuable gift.
You open your thighs wider to welcome his hard cock that twitches against your mound, the tip smearing precum over your belly.
“Fuck me, Joel,” you beg but he has other plans.
He parts from you and moves down, peppering open-mouth kisses on your neck and breasts. He sucks on your nipples, one and then the other and you squirm under him, moaning, fingers running through his wet hair.
He grunts from the sensation but then gets off the bed and kneels on the floor.
“Told ya ‘m gonna eat ya.” He grabs your ankles and pulls you to the foot of the bed making you gasp. You slide down on the money with ease, some of the dollar bills falling on the floor next to Joel.
“Spread ‘em wide.”
He presses on the insides of your thighs with his massive hands and a memory of those hands throwing a security guard into a wall just a few hours ago sends more slick to your dripping entrance. You lift yourself on your elbows and whimper at the image of him on his knees between your thighs.
“Fuck… so wet, baby… look at this,” he presses his tongue to your hole and pulls his head away, as you watch a string of arousal hang between his mouth and your pussy.
A few seconds later you’re nothing but a moaning trembling mess as he’s devouring your cunt like it’s his last meal before an execution.
His tongue is everywhere, gliding between your folds, swirling infinities over your clit, fucking into your clenching hole. A scream announces your climax and he drinks from you, humming with pleasure.
With a carnal gaze and a mischievous smirk, not waiting for your aftershocks to stop, he pushes two thick fingers into your soaked pussy. The first stroke tells you exactly what the devil wants from you.
“Oh fuck no, Joel!” You try to squirm up the bed but he grabs your hip pinning you to the bed with his strong hand, expression focused on the goal.
You slump into the cash with another nervous giggle and stare at the ceiling.
“C’mon, baby, let’s christen this batch,” Joel chuckles, pushing his thick digits in and out of your entrance, expertly coaxing another explosion out of you.
“Tommy’ll kill us,” you say again before he presses something deep inside you once, twice and your juices spurt out of your stretched hole, soaking Joel’s chest.
He pulls his fingers out but doesn’t stop playing with your pussy as he vigorously rubs it with his whole palm, making you come harder and squirt more. The drops of your liquid drizzle over the scrunched dollar bills and your heated bodies.
Through the haze in your eyes and mind you see Joel standing up, jerking his cock for a few moments and then painting your puffy folds with his pearly cum.
He plops on the bed next to you and pulls your exhausted body into his arms. It’s messy and filthy, you are both covered in cum as well as the money around you.
“I hate you, Joel,” you murmur into his neck as he holds you tight.
“Hate you too, baby,” he rasps and you two rest, spent and satisfied, listening to each other’s heartbeats.
Suddenly a knock on the door breaks the peaceful silence. One shared glance and you two rush to grab your guns.

Thank you for reading! 🌸

she takes another shot, stumbling slightly as she hisses when the taste of alcohol finally hits her. she giggles when mick’s arm comes up to steady her slightly, leaning forward to giggle with her after she’s almost fallen to the ground.
“mate,” she says excitedly, grabbing his arm with a wide smile. “thanks for coming out with me tonight! stupid logan got a stupid date.”
“of course,” mick mutters, nodding. he puts his shot glass down on the table and slumps his shoulders. “is there anything else to do here besides drink? this can’t be the only thing vegas is good for.”
she shakes her head and licks her lips. she plants her hand on his shoulder and climbs onto the high seat of the bar, dropping herself into the seat. her eyes widen as she feels herself leaning back slightly, snorting when mick firmly grabs her arm to steady her once more. “we should just keep drinking.”
mick looks around the bar with flushed and puffed cheeks. realistically, they shouldn’t be drinking as much as they are. but she had made a good point when convincing him to get drinks with her at one of the bars on the strip — the day starts late, so why not grab some drinks and make the best out of their time in vegas?
it was a good argument. while they tried reeling liam and oscar to come with them, their girlfriends were in town for the race, which left them both in the bar together.
and logan had simply scored himself a date specifically tonight. which prompted her to curse at him, rambling about how he’s ditched them on an important date.
which then prompted logan to fight back, screaming at her about how they never agreed to do anything together tonight.
sebastian outright claimed that he did not want to take care of a small drunk girl that had the ability to disappear in 0.5 seconds so he chose to sit tonight out. it made her sulk a little bit, but when mick reminded her of the bar they were heading to, she was immediately all smiles and sunshine once more.
she slams her palm down on the slab of the counter top. “mate. do you want to go for a walk and see what else is on the strip?”
“can you even still walk straight?” mick grins, turning to her slightly with his shot glass held up to his lips. she nods enthusiastically, a hand on the back of his seat as she climbs off hers. “are you going to show me that you can walk straight?”
“yes, yes!” she shrieks with her arms in the air. “look at me.”
“heel to toe.”
“yeah, yeah. i know how the sober test works. remember montreal?”
“yes, i was there.”
“okay, whatever. watch me,” she giggles, waving her hand in the air to catch mick’s attention. before she starts walking, she looks up again. “can you even walk straight?”
“yeah, duh?” mick hops off his seat, wobbling when he plants his feet on the ground. “i’ll even show you.”
“ugh, copycat!” she shrieks, shoving him back.
they erupt in giggles when mick stumbles back, grabbing her shoulder to stable himself. “okay, let’s go for a walk.”
mick grabs her arm and yanks her towards the direction of the exit of the bar.
“mick schumacher!” she shrieks, stumbling forward to grab the tab from the table. “we haven’t paid yet! hold on!”
“oh.” mick pulls her into his body, arm slung around her shoulders lazily. “i got the bill tonight.”
“yeah, okay,” she mutters to herself, wrapping her arm around his torso. “let’s go for a walk by the strip? i’m in the mood for some ice cream.”
“i feel like having pizza,” mick mutters, tapping her shoulder lightly. “pizza then ice cream?”
she hums, leaning her head on him. “hawaiian pizza? i know you don’t really like it but–“
“i can’t feel my face.” mick fishes for his wallet in his back pocket. “i’m just hungry — i don’t care what pizza it is.”
“oh, nice,” she nods proudly with a smug grin. “we should hang out more.”
Tumblr media
come to the strip!!! 💗💗💗
oscar tilts his head as he wipes his mouth on the towel. he steps out of the bathroom and pops his head into the room. “babe,” he voices out. “did you get a text from mick?”
“yeah.” she lifts the phone the show oscar. “it doesn’t sound like he sent the text.”
“you reckon they’re immobilised from drinking so much?” oscar giggles, crawling on the bed over to her. “should we go to them?”
lily hums, opening up her arms to receive oscar. he drops himself right next to her and rests his head on her stomach. an arm wraps itself around lily’s waist. “if you want to.”
oscar hums. “i don’t think so. i kinda want to go and sleep.”
a hurried knock lands on the door, making oscar lift his head and look at lily. “are you expecting company?”
lily raises an eyebrow. “i grew up in the uk. i don’t have friends out here, oz,” lily hums, rubbing his back.
another knock lands on the door. “open the fucking door! i know you’re inside!”
“what?” oscar screams, climbing off the bed. he drags his feet to the door, glancing at lily with an eye roll. “i thought you were on a date!”
“didn’t mick text you?” logan asks, appearing out in the hallway with a jacket over his shoulders. “that’s so not mick! we need to go!”
oscar steps back, blinking blankly at logan. he’s already in a different set of clothes than oscar last saw him in. he’s in a pair of sweatpants and a random sweatshirt he knows for a fact that came from her, because it’s got a picture of hello kitty in a racing helmet.
that’s in contrast to his proper date outfit from when he left the paddocks.
“what? mick is definitely taking care of her,” oscar snorts with a laugh. “don’t worry about her, mate.”
logan pushes past oscar. he looks at lily. “what did mick text you guys?”
lily hums, resting her head on the headboard of the bed with a giggle. “ask us to come to the strip. with lots of heart shapes.”
logan throws his head back, pulling at his hair in frustration. “no, mate!” he screams. he bends down to the ground and grabs oscar’s jacket, shoving it into the australian’s chest. “let’s go! get dressed!”
“are you jealous or something?” lily laughs softly, tearing the duvet off her legs. “i’m sure her and mick are doing fine.”
“no!” logan screams, waving his arms into the air. “you’re not listening to me! the text they sent me is different!”
“what do you mean?”
“dude,” logan sighs tiredly, hurriedly shoving oscar towards the door. “they’re at the chapel — they have plans to get married.”
Tumblr media
lily has never run out of the hotel so fast in her life. not out of concern for the situation their friend has gotten herself into; just for the simple adrenaline of a bad decision made in vegas while drowning in alcohol.
logan leads her and oscar through the vegas crowd.
lily squeezes oscar’s hand. “do you really think mick is so drunk that they’re getting married in vegas?”
oscar shrugs. “i really don’t know. we know he’s got that big crush on her, but would he really take advantage of her being so drunk like that?”
“i hope not,” lily mutters. “maybe they’re just as wasted as one another?”
“it would be funny.”
“would it, though?”
oscar shrugs again. “we’ll see.”
“you guys,” logan stops momentarily to turn and beckon them forward, “walk faster!”
lily lets out an airy breath, throwing her head back. “logan, relax. i doubt mick took advantage of her,” lily voices out, walking slightly faster to catch up to him. “he’s a good guy!”
“i don’t care. let’s go.”
they find the chapel fairly easy, logan pushing the doors to the reception area with a mission in mind. “who’s in there right now?” he asks, heading straight for the table with a woman standing behing it.
oscar and lily follow behind him slowly, quite unsure what they’re truly doing here. she’s an adult now — she should be able to stand behind decisions she makes.
especially ones that are made when she’s drunk.
“oh, hey! what are you guys doing here?”
oscar tilts his body, looking past logan. there sebastian sits on the couch with a bag of chips in his hands, leaning back with his legs spread on the ground.
“mick texted you?”
“no,” sebastian shakes his head. “mick called me. told me he was gonna marry my driver and be a full-time wag.”
“they’re inside right now?” logan whirls around, pointing at the closed doors that lead to the makeshift chapel in the building. “why didn’t you stop them?”
the older man shrugs, shaking his chips to get another in his mouth. “they have to learn their lesson.”
“seb!” logan cries, throwing his head back and his arms into the air. “her mother is going to kill you!”
sebastian shakes his head, tilting the bag towards the group of them. “she was called before they walked into the chapel.”
oscar laughs, taking a chip for himself. “really? what did she say?”
“she said good luck with the married life,” sebastian laughs.
“am i the only one who isn’t okay with this?” logan raises an eyebrow with his hands on his hips. “seriously! she’s getting married! they could be signing the papers right now that makes it official around the whole world!”
“lighten up,” lily laughs, rubbing his arm. “i’m sure they’ve got a logical explanation for everything that’s happening.”
the large and grand doors open, high pitched gigges filling the room. “oh, hey! you guys came!” she shrieks, arms linked with mick as they stumble out into the common area.
“dude! what are you doing?” logan screams, throwing his arm into the air. “why are you– no! what were you thinking?” he turns to mick. “come on!”
she stares at logan, smile disappearing she drops mick’s arms. “what?”
“why did you get married? what are you doing?”
mick snorts. “free pizza,” mick shrugs, eyes half open with a smug grin.
“what?” oscar laughs, dropping himself on the couch next to sebastian. he clutches his stomach. “you got married for free pizza? you guys are getting paid millions a year and you’re getting married for free pizza?”
“no, no,” she slurs, crossing her arms in the air. “the thing is–“
she looks back at mick, giggling as mick comes up to pull her into his body. “okay. the story is–“
“tell the story faster!” logan screams, begging them to quicken up the storytelling. “come on! what does free pizza have anything to do with you getting married? in vegas?”
“relax, dude,” mick sighs with a sloppy smile, waving a hand in the air. “it started when we went to this ice cream parlour earlier to get her rocky road.”
she giggles, her hands coming up to cup her cheeks. she taps her fingers against the skin with a giggle. “this guy proposed to this girl in the ice cream parlour — it was so cute!”
“okay?” sebastian raises an eyebrow. “how did this bring us here to the chapel?”
“and they got two free pints of ice cream!” she screams, throwing her arms in the air. “i wanted free ice cream!”
“dolce and gabbana don’t sponsor you so you can pull crap like this for two free pints of ice cream!” logan drops his head into his hands. “i still don’t see how any of this led to you getting married!”
“so i proposed to her in the ice cream parlour jokingly,” mick explains exasperatedly, rolling his eyes jokingly. “with a zip tie we found in her purse, but still.”
“oh, my gosh!” lily squeals, stepping forward to clasp her hands together with the girl. “do you have pictures?”
mick beams. “i do! i asked this random lady inside to take a video of me proposing to my ‘long-term girlfriend’ as a surprise!”
he fishes for his phone in his back pocket, immediately typing away on the screen. he whimpers, pouting his bottom lip out when logan snatches the phone from his hands.
“the story!”
“don’t you wanna hear our backstory as a couple?”
“not really.”
“i’m curious, actually.”
“so my ‘girlfriend’,” mick squeezes her shoulder, “and i grew up together! neighbours, actually!”
she sighs dreamily, resting her head on mick’s arm. she links arms with him and closes her eyes. “classic story of falling in love with the girl next door.”
“wait,” sebastian says. “if he proposed to you inside the ice cream parlour…”
lily tilts her head, looking around. “where’s the ice cream?”
“oh, we snuck into the paddocks and put it into the freezer in my driver’s room,” she giggles, throwing her head back. she leans back lazily, prompting mick to drop his hand to push her back to his feet.
logan steps forward and grabs her arm, yanking her up. “finish the damn story!” he turns to mick again. “seriously, have you both lost all working braincells that you decided to get married in vegas? in vegas? while you’re shit faced drunk?”
“yeah, so after we left the parlour, we went walking by the strip and we walked past this shop that sells pizza,” she explains. “they give free pizza away to newlyweds!”
“you did all this for free pizza?” logan asks, sitting next to oscar on the couch. “i’m gonna be on the news.”
“she suggested that we go to that chapel we walked by — this place — and then go back to that pizza restaurant with all of you to celebrate our… ‘marriage’!” mick laughs. “free pizza, anyone?”
the group stare at the pair in silence: logan showing his distaste for their antics with a scowl, oscar with an amused grin, sebastian still eating his chips and lily simply holding her hands in excitement.
sebastian shrugs, pushing himself off the couch. “convinced me.”
“as long as she doesn’t force me to eat hawaiian, then i guess,” oscar throws his arms into the air. “do they give out drinks too?”
“yeah!”
“really? and everyone is okay with this?” logan asks, narrowing his eyes down as he looks at sebastian. “you’re okay with this?”
sebastian shrugs again. “i’m not her manager or anything — i’m just her race engineer. sometimes grid dad. not tonight, though. all of this happened while i was sleeping tight in my hotel room.”
“oh, lighten up,” she giggles, tapping logan’s shoulder. “i’ll get you a whole pizza for yourself later. don’t be a party pooper — it’s my wedding night!”
— bonus
"alright, wife," mick grins, walking down the hallway of her hotel room floor. "i will see you tomorrow for our fight that will lead to our separation."
"okay, husband," she giggles airily, stopping right by her bedroom door. "i had fun being married to you, mick! i wish it could last longer than this one wonderful night."
mick laughs, stepping back with a grin. "don't forget to drink some water."
she doesn't answer, just grins at him as she taps her card onto the reader. she hears the lock whirl around before she pushes the handle down to open her door.
she takes a deep breath and turns around with a smile. "do you wanna come in for some coffee?"

Let Me Get Them For You, Angel
Pairing: Frat!Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warnings: N/A
Pronouns: She/Her
Word Count: 0.9K
Summary: Rafe never hesitates to get Y/N what she wants.
A/N: Inspired by this post.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Even though Y/N has told Rafe countless times, he does the best he can to be a provider for her, buying her food, clothes, books, scientific equipment he doesn’t understand what it does and anything else he can think of. He will literally do everything in his power to get her the whole world. They are at the mall shopping for a new leather jacket for him. They’ve been there for a few hours, taking their time to peruse around the stores. Her stomach begins to cry out its need for sustenance. As they continue to the next store, a delicious buttery and salty smell enters the air. Her head turns in the direction of where this sensory stimulus is coming from. The small glance toward Auntie Anne’s Pretzels does not go unnoticed by her boyfriend. He pauses immediately, yet she continues to walk, so he loops his arm through her to pull her back to his side. “What’s wrong?” she questions with a tilt of her head. He points toward the pretzel store, “I’m hungry. Why don’t we get a snack? A cheese one, right?” “You know me so well,” she beams. He chuckles and presses his lips against her temple. He leads her toward the register and orders their salty snack.
———
It is no secret that Y/N is an avid reader. Her TBR list is in the hundreds and it continues to grow. Rafe’s mission is to make that list dwindle to zero, despite what Y/N might say. Sometimes, he’ll add books to that list by himself. The couple is hanging out in the library. She is studying and he is only there to keep her company. An hour into her studying session he pulls her away from her textbooks and notes to take a break and eat a snack. Her eyes wander while she nibbles on the cheese and crackers he hands to her, landing on a book cover that catches her eyes. The pink-themed watercolour cover features a forest with a rope bridge. It’s beautiful and the title is quite simple. Unravel Me. Rafe sees her attention isn’t on him and follows the gaze to the novel in another person's hands. She moves her eyes back to him, but he still takes note of the title. After the snack, she goes back to studying and he focuses on his phone. He decides to search for the book and finds out it is a hockey romance series. It sounds right up Y/N’s alley, so he orders Topper to go to the store and buy her the full set.
———
The most outrageous example of Rafe being Rafe when it comes to buying Y/N things is when he orders expensive objects for her right on the spot. It is date night and he decides to take her to the new upscale bar that opened up off campus. He pulls her chair out for her, allowing her to hop onto the tall chair. While she tells him about her tests, her eyes are trained on something at the bar. She must really like whatever she is looking at because she stands from the chair and approaches a woman. Rafe is right behind her, resting his hand on the small of Y/N’s back. “Hey, sorry to bother you, but I really like your bag. Where did you get it?” she asks the redhead. The other woman grins and holds her bag up, “Thank you! It’s from Coach. I can’t remember what it’s called though. I’m sorry.” “It’s okay. You gave me enough to go off of. Thank you so much. Have a nice night,” Y/N bids goodbye to her. Throughout the whole interaction, Rafe’s attention is on his phone. They get back to their table and he holds up his screen to her. The Coach website is pulled up on Safari with a picture of a light tan bag that has a dragon on it. Boxed New Year Rogue 25 With Dragon is written above the picture along with the price of $1,090.
“This is the one you want, right?” he confirms. Her eyes widen at the price, “Yes, but I didn’t know it was that expensive. I like it, just not for that price.” He ignores her worries and goes back to typing on his phone. “Look at this one. I’m gonna get it for you too. I think it’s cute,” he tells her, sliding his phone across the table to her. She sees two items in his cart: the dragon purse and the heart bag in regenerative leather. The total amount before tax is $1,490, which is completely outrageous to her. She shakes her head, “You can’t buy these, Rafe. This is way too much.” “Come on, let me get them for you, Angel. You know money is no issue for me,” he pleads, giving her the best puppy eyes he can.
“It’s not an issue for me. What am I going to do with something so luxurious?”
“Look like an absolute queen while you flaunt it around. Show other men that I can provide for you. Hand it over to me while you put your lip gloss on, so you can mark your territory. You deserve this luxury and so many more, Angel.”
“This is really important to you. Isn’t it?”
“Yes, so… what do you say?”
“Fine. You can get them.”
A smirk craves itself onto his face and he puts in his credit card information to finalize the purchase. He shows her the shipping information, “It should be here by next week, Angel.” “Thank you, Rafe. I can’t wait to use them,” she shows her gratitude by giving him a kiss.

“I thought that was you,” a familiar voice speaks over your shoulder, causing your heart to skip a beat. You turn around, coming face to face with none other than Yoongi himself– or should you say ‘Agust D’. “You really stand out in a crowd.” The corner of his lips tug into a sly smirk.
“Y-Yoongi…” you stutter, almost too tongue tied to speak coherently. You were hoping to not have an encounter with him. Wasn’t finding out that he was performing at the club an ambush to your heart enough? Now here he was trying to converse with you after two years.
You finally find your voice, mustering up something other than his name. “Hey… it’s been a while.” You smile slightly. The bartender hands you your Long Island iced tea and you thank him, taking a sip of the alcoholic beverage. “It has,” His tongue ran over his bottom lip, his eyes never straying from yours; though, the same couldn’t be said for you. “ So, were you fuckin’ with the show?” He asked.
“Oh, yeah! You were great. I’m really happy that your music career took off…” It probably sounded fake, especially since your breakup ended on a bad note, but you truly were happy for Yoongi. He worked hard. He was talented, creative, and simply a musical genius. You always knew that. You just wish it didn’t all get to his head. You could only imagine how much of a player he turned out to be now that his popularity went far beyond live shows at his friend’s basement parties.
“Appreciate that,” he expresses his gratitude. “Would’ve been better if it took off with that special someone though,” These words catch your attention, and you finally hold contact with him, caught off guard by the confession. Your mood had now gone from indifferent to indignant. The look in his eyes is affectionate, soft as he continues on. “Y’know… you’ve been on my mind heavy, y/n. Maybe this is fate–”
“You’re unbelievable, you know that?” You blurt out, cutting the ginger short. “This is the first time I see you in two years since our breakup, and suddenly I’m on your mind? Do I look like one of your groupies?” The look on Yoongi’s face was unreadable, but you can tell that he’s taken aback by the outburst. “I refuse to let you reopen a wound that I stitched up long ago.” You hop down from the bar stool you were sitting on, grabbing your purse from the countertop. You don’t even care about your drink anymore.
“Y/n, wait…” Yoongi tries to plead for you to listen, but you’re not that same girl anymore. You moved on; at least that’s what you wanted him to believe. “The show was fun. Have a great night, Yoong– I mean Agust D.”
You leave him at the bar alone as you go on a hunt for your friends. You don’t even spare him a last glance.

Being friends with Kim Mingyu came with a lot of perks. You always had an invite to the biggest parties on campus, knew someone who could walk you home when you had a bit too much to drink, and a constant study partner who would bring coffee to the study sessions.
On the outside, it is easy to assume you and Mingyu were a couple. And you knew one day, Mingyu would make a woman very happy. I mean, he was the poster child of what it means to be a Golden Retriever Boyfriend.
Yet, you have never been attracted to Mingyu like that. Of course, he treated you like royalty, but in some ways, he was showing you the way you deserved to be treated. Mingyu was always the one to give you dating and relationship advice, which was extremely helpful given he was able to give the male perspective. And vice versa, you were always there to hype up and encourage Mingyu to go after women he found attractive. Despite the confidence he exudes, he was a rather shy individual.
Your friendship with Mingyu was a prized possession in your life, and you never wanted to do something to risk. Even though you had a crush on his best friend, Jeon Wonwoo.
Unlike Mingyu, you knew next to nothing about Wonwoo. You often saw him every now and then when he was out with Mingyu, but the two of you never seemed to exchange words. There was just something about him that lured you in.
And you were hoping tonight would be the opportunity to change that.
For the past few weeks, you have been trying to gather intel on Wonwoo. Most of the time when you hung out with Mingyu, you asked about his best friend. It didn't take long for the giant man to put the puzzle pieces together. Instantly, Mingyu devised a plan to try to get his two favorite people together.
Midterms would be coming to an end on Friday, and he knew everyone would want to come out and celebrate. Rather than going to the bars, Mingyu suggested he hosted a house party filled with his closest friends. Both so everyone could be comfortable and enjoy themselves, but also so Wonwoo might open up more during the party. He wasn't the type of guy who preferred going out on the weekends. Often, his weekends were filled with either studying or playing video games. Mingyu was almost certain that a house party could get his introverted best friend to come out of his room.
After sending different outfit options to Mingyu, and each text was responded with "looks good," you decided on a black jeans and a black, long-sleeved crop top. You wore gold jewelry for the comparison, but also decided to wear your hair down for now. You did keep a white scrunchie around your wrist, in case you or someone else might need it throughout the night.
Your goal was to look presentable, but not too over the top. It was a house party, after all. Tonight would be a great opportuntiy not just to hang out with friends you haven't seen in a while, but also maybe know Wonwoo on a deeper level. While yes, you did like him, you were unsure of where his mind was at. Even Mingyu was clueless on Wonwoo's love life as it was a topic rarely they engaged in. Being friends with Wonwoo could always be the start.
With a bottle of vodka and a bottle of Berry Lemonade held by your hip, your free hand knocked on the door. You could already hear music and chatter coming from inside. Growing out of hopping from frat house to frat house, house parties were becoming more of your comfort zone. Maybe that's what it meant to be an upperclassman?
"Hi Barbie!" "Hi Ken!"
Mingyu quickly retrieved one of the bottles from you, making your load lighter. You could have managed carrying both, but that was Mingyu just being himself. He wrapped his free arm around you to pull you into a hug. "Woah, you're wearing perfume tonight? Must really want to impress someone."
Quickly, you pulled back from the embrace and slapped his chest. Your eyes narrowed on him before he broke out into a fit of laughter. Yeah, Mingyu definitely was not your boyfriend.
"You do look great though, y/n!" "Not half bad yourself, Gyu," you laughed.
The two of you ventured into the kitchen after closing the door. Mingyu's parties never got too crazy. He always knew who was invited, and it was always known nobody else unless an invite was extended by Mingyu himself or you asked if you could bring someone along with you. He just never liked the unpredictability of strangers entering his home. Wonwoo and him also despised the clean-up afterwards too when people didn't respect their home. That was one way to never get invited again.
Upon entering the kitchen, you were greeted with cheers. Both from the guys invested in the game of Flip Cup but also by the ones that noticed you. Seungkwan, Dino, and Hoshi were all grinning at you. Currently, it seemed like Seungcheol and Joshua were going head-to-head in a match with Dokyeom and Jeonghan waiting there turn. Vernon, Minghao, Jun, and Woozi were all spectating. All that was missing was Wonwoo.
Noticing you take a headcount, Mingyu grinned. He's gotten to know you all too well over the course of your friendship. "He's out back on the patio," he whispered into his ear.
He must have been able to escape with the guys distracted, and the bodies that filled the first floor of their college townhouse apartment.
"Y/n! Wanna take a shot?" Hoshi shouted to you. "Hell yeah."
A little liquid courage never hurt. Mingyu chuckled as he got to work preparing your mixed drinks for the two of you. Hoshi was eagerly pouring out shots for the 14 people. He must still think Wonwoo is in the room.
"Hey, where's Wonwoo?" DK finally asked once he finished his turn with flip cup. "Oh, I think he must have slipped outside," Mingyu quickly responded. "I can go check on him after," you offered.
It was not unusual for you to take on almost a 'mother' role. Like Mingyu, you liked being there for people. You liked when people felt uncomfortable around you or that you could help someone out, no matter how big the task might be.
"That's our eomma," Dino shouted.
You rolled your eyes playfully but couldn't wipe the smile off your face. It did really feel good to be seen in positive light.
Mingyu placed your red solo cups in front of you. You smiled at the sight of your mixed drink, knowing that it would help the liquor slid down your throat. You weren't the biggest fan of vodka, but if you had something to chase? You were golden. Plus, you were now able to take your drink and able to slip away to find Wonwoo.
"Alright fuckers, some of us are seniors. Top dogs, but we always have our pack to support us. " Hoshi began. Oh boy.
Promptly, DK started barking which encouraged the rest of the boys to join in. Sometimes you question why you are friends with them, but you knew they were all irreplaceable.
"I just love you guys so much." Uh oh. Looks like Hoshi has already had a bit more to drink than the rest of the group. "Here's the last few months before we become boring."
The shot glasses dropped down to the table before meeting all of your lips. You cringed a bit at the feeling of straight vodka hitting your mouth but quickly swallowed. With your free hand, you were able to rid of the taste with the mixed drink which made you immediately relax. You sighed as you could already feel how warm your stomach felt from the liquor entering your system.
"Go get your boy," Mingyu teased you in a hushed tone. "HEY! Secrets makes frenemies and I want us all to be besties," Hoshi shouted as he caught you and Mingyu talking. "Relax, tiger. I'm just telling her where I think Wonwoo ran off to."
Hoshi seemed to relax before instantly distracted by the next game Jun proposed. Mingyu sighed, knowing he was going to be on Hoshi duty tonight. Again. You patted his shoulder comfortingly before slipping away to the porch.
Keeping your drink above your head, so you wouldn't accidentally spill or drop it on anyone or anything, you navigated through the crowd of people. For someone who liked to keep parties small, there was always a large turn out for Mr. Popular. You offered friendly smiles at familiar faces, as you kept your eyes locked on the back patio.
As the people around you began to dissipate, you saw a figure sitting on the steps of the back porch. It wasn't much of a porch really. Just a set of wooden steps with a deck, but it was like luxury to any college student. It also is why people favorited Mingyu's spot for partying on the weekends.
You were able to easily identify the person outside just based off the broad shoulders. It has been quite a few weeks since you last saw Mingyu, but you liked seeing how long his hair has gotten since then. You always thought he looked better with a bit of length to his haircut.
Gently, you slid the back patio door hoping not to startle him. He did, however, whip his head around to see who was responsible but then immediately relaxed when he saw it was you. While you two were not close yet, he recognized you. Wonwoo also knew just how important you were to Mingyu, so you were never seen as a threat. Quite frankly, he just didn't know how to approach you since the two of you had not had a proper conversation one-on-one.
"Oh hi, y/n," he called out gently. His voice was always calm in his deep tone. It was oe of the things you adored about Wonwoo. His voice was calm to you like the ocean, and you always seemed to cling onto every word he spoke.
"Hey Wonwoo," you said in your usual tone, not wanting to be perceived as a threat. "Mind if I join you?"
His eyes slightly widened as he heard you. Only the guys ever really approached Wonwoo, so it was a bit surprising that someone would want to accompany him.
"Oh um sure."
Wonwoo scooted over from where he was sitting, offering his spot for you. You smiled appreciatively before fully stepping into the patio. You closed the door behind you, both to respect Wonwoo's privacy and to keep the house warm. It was apparent that Wonwoo had wondered out here for a reason, so you wanted to respectful and show through your actions you were someone he could trust. You also were not wanting to hear Mingyu nagging at you for causing the electricity bill to rise in the month of March.
Slowly, you made your way over until you sat down next to him. You set your drink but the edge, so if you accidentally spilled, it could go into the grass rather than the cute boy beside you.
"Enjoying the party?" Wonwoo asked in a soft tone.
It wasn't monotone. It was his usual deep tone. But as he spoke, you noticed that his gaze was seemed to be locked on the moon above the two of you. It was still a bit chilly when the sun was hidden, but you were comfortable. The alcohol definitely aiding.
"Yeah, actually. Much better than being coped up studying," you joked.
"Yeah, I feel you," he sighed. You watched the way he pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. It was such a little thing, something he probably doesn't even think about it. Yet, you found it to be the most adorable thing. "You're in the political science program, right?"
Your heart undeniably did a little flip knowing that he remembered that detail to you. Maybe Mingyu has held up his promise and talked to Wonwoo about you, not just saying he had to make you feel more at ease. You nodded your head as you looked over at hi. It was just a habit of yours. You didn't expect him to look over at you, but you wanted to show him that you were present in the moment and ready to listen to whatever he wanted to say. Or even if you two just sat here in silence for a little. There was just something screaming within you that you he needed you tonight.
You just had no idea that he knew anything about you given that you only were on first name basis.
"Yeah," you spoke softly, unable to wipe the gentle smile on your face. "And you're in the computer science program?"
Wonwoo nodded, smiling a bit as well. Wonwoo never was the guy he thought people took interest in. Honestly, every day, he feels just blessed to say he has some of the best friends who want to drag him out of his bedroom. Most people might not even notice his absence. And Wonwoo did that subconsciously, just as a defense mechanism. He has been on the receiving end of bullying and life's unfortunate events. He just found himself isolating more as a way to cope.
"If you don't mind me asking," you began, biting your lip. "Why are you out here by yourself? Is everything ok?" "I think?"
You couldn't help but frown at Wonwoo's response. You were too familiar with the uncertain feeling and knew how troubling it can be. While everyone faces their own difficulties in life, you never liked hearing that other people are struggling.
"I just," he began to open it up.
Now you were the surprised on. Never before would you expect to be Wonwoo's confidant, but you knew it was a job title of upmost importance. You just hoped your surprised expression was not portrayed on your face. If Wonwoo needed someone to vent to, you'd gladly step up.
He glanced at you to see if you were listening. Satisfied to see your eyes on him with a soft gaze, he let out a shaky breath. For the first time in a while, he felt like he was able to confide in someone. He knew the guys were always in his corner, but he ever wished to worry them too much. To some extent, Wonwoo prided himself in his own ability to take care of himself.
It was just that he's been struggling for some time.
"Everything is changing," he chuckled almost out of self-pity. "It's just been hitting me that all of this," he motioned to the party behind him. "Will not be here in a few months. Hell, not even in a few weeks since we all graduate soon. I know I should be in there partying it up, living in the present but I cannot help but think of how we all won't be together like this and it makes me sad."
It was almost like looking into the future as Wonwoo described his inner turmoil. You and Mingyu, and a few of the other guys, were still had another year or two left in college. However, Wonwoo and the other guys would be graduating this upcoming May.
"Do you know where the other guys have decided to go?" You asked in a quite tone. You hope you weren't upsetting him by your questions.
Wonwoo slowly nodded. "Yeah, I think Seungcheol and Jeonghan are moving to the city. Seungkwan has talked about moving in with them once he graduates next year. Joshua and Jun have jobs lined up in their hometowns, so they'll be moving out probably at the end of May. Hoshi? I have no clue. He hasn't even applied to any jobs yet. And Woozi and I have been applying to graduate schools. He's leaning towards business and I think I want to go in a more software engineering route."
"Have you heard back from any schools yet?"
Wonwoo couldn't fight the smile creeping on his face. He knew you cared deeply about Mingyu's friends, but he never thought he would be looped into that circle. He always kept his distance just because it was just convenient, it's what he knew. It also kept him safe in a world filled with chaos and unpredictability.
"Yeah, I actually heard from two schools, so I'm trying to decide. One of the schools is here."
He whispered the last part. It spoke volumes to you. The thought of Wonwoo staying here meant that you might be able to make things work with Wonwoo. That is, if he was opened to the idea of you dating.
"Like part of me wants to run away from here," he explained.
While you weren't quite at the same stage as life, you understood the need. It was part of the reason why you chose to go away for university whereas all your high school classmates chose more local programs. You wanted a change of scenery, a new beginning.
"So much has changed since freshman year. I'm definitely not the same person I was. I've had my challenges like losing my mom a year and a half ago," he explained. "And all those hard times happened while I was here, so I almost have a need to move and leave the pain behind.
His casual mentioning of his mother's passing brought back memories. You remember how all the guys rallied behind Wonwoo. Some of them even skipped final presentations and exams in order to be there for Wonwoo at the funeral. You knew it wasn't in your place to attend the funeral, but you cooked a warm cooked meal for all of them. It was Wonwoo's favorite dish. It at least wanted to do a nice gesture, so Wonwoo knew he wasn't alone. You still remember dropping the dish off with Mingyu with re-heating instructions.
To this day, he has no idea how that dish arrived. He just figured one of the guys ordered DoorDash.
While Mingyu begged you to stay, so you could give it to Wonwoo himself, you didn't want to overstep. You knew grief takes all shapes and forms, os you thought the best thing you could do was give the space for Wonwoo to feel his emotions.
Little did you know he's been harboring those emotions this whole time, almost two years later.
'But then part of me worries about the younger guys. I don't want them to feel abandoned. I don't want the group to fall apart once we all move, and it feels like if I stay here then I can keep us together even while the other guys go off."
"Almost like you are the glue that keeps them all together?" "Yeah, I guess that's the best way to explain it." "But Wonwoo, what keeps you together?"
He furrowed his eyebrows as he fully looked at you. What an odd question. And based on his reaction, you felt the need to elaborate.
"I mean, it's great that you always look out for everyone. You're a real nurturer," you explained.
Wonwoo has never been described in such light before. He bit the inside of his cheek to keep the blush from overtaking his cheeks. He shrugged though as if it was no big deal.
"But what are you doing to take care of yourself? I'm not asking you to make a decision now to either stay or go because going to grad school is a big decision. Congratulations, by the way. That's incredible!"
How could you always see the positive side of things? How hasn't life damaged your spirit like it has for him? How could you see good in him when he often failed to see it in himself?
"I know it's easy to feel like you need to harbor your own emotions because it's easy. But Wonwoo, that shit can break you."
Woah. Who would have thought y/n could swear.
"I'm always going to be here if you need me, you know. I'm not just Mingyu's friend, but I could like to consider us friends too, if that is something you'd like. I'm always here if you need a place to vent, especially if it's away from the guys. I know they can be…" you trailed off.
You didn't want to offend Wonwoo as that was his core group of friends. You were just a side character brought in every now and then.
"A lot," Wonwoo finished for you.
You both shared a laugh as you nodded, confirming to Wonwoo that was the word you were looking for. Silence fell over the two of you for a moment. All that could be heard was the sound of people laughing from within the house and the crickets chirping in the backyard. It was peaceful.
"You know, I've always wanted to say more than hello to you, y/n. Thank you for letting me vent. I wasn't expecting for it all to just spew out like that," he confessed.
Looking at him, you nodded a blush had fully taken over his cheeks but a wide smile remained on his lips. He looked too adorable. The moonlight was highlight his facial features which left you starstruck. He truly was built like a God.
You scooted closer so you could wrap your arms around Wonwoo. He tried his best not to let his body go tense. Wonwoo just wasn't accustomed to someone showing him affection in such a physical way. To be honest, he couldn't remember the last time he actually had a hug.
Slowly, his arms wrapped around you to pull you in closer. You didn't mind his hold on you was a bit tight. He clearly needed it. Your head rested on his shoulder, which allowed you to get a whiff of his cologne. Teakwood and oak. It made your heart fluttered.
But what really sealed the deal was feeling Wonwoo's head rest on top of yours gently.
"Always here for you, Wonwoo." "Promise?" He whispered. "I promise."

Tumblr media
"Oh, where's Cora gone, where is she? There she is!" A grin broke out on Evan's face as he moved his hands in front of Cora's eyes before waving his hands out at his sides and leaning down to kiss her nose. He loved the way she smiled and showed her two tiny front teeth when she grinned, gurgling and pawing at him.
He covered her eyes again with one hand before gasping and leaning down, laughing as she squealed and grabbed his nose.
"Let's go shopping," He murmured at her, lifting her from her carseat to tuck her up against his chest. He could feel her tiny hand grabbing at his chain like the magpie she was and it only made Evan smile more when she started to gurgle and make little noises into his cotton shirt.
With Cora safely nestled in his left arm, Evan shut the door and rounded the other side of the truck. He opened the front door so Angel could hop out before he moved to the back door to get Ella.
He had done a twenty-four hour shift yesterday and was desperate to spend some time with his girls and that meant bringing them with him to do the weekly shop. He'd left (Y/n) asleep on the sofa, satisfied that she'd managed to drink two protein shakes and felt a bit better than she did the other day.
Evan liked doing the food shop, he had a system and he was always in and out and the girls were good. They were all nervous in their own way and attached to him so they never strayed or played up which made life so much easier for him. Cora stayed in the trolley and Ella was tired so she would sit in the trolley too so she could be close to Evan. And Angel would help grab food off the shelf and load up the trolley.
They were a well-oiled machine.
"Off we go, girls. Stay close," Evan held Cora in one arm and Ella perched high on his other hip with her arms coiled around his neck possessively. And when he looked down at Angel, she stuffed her hand in his jean pocket so he could feel her close by and make sure she didn't wander.
He knew once the next girl- or boy- came along, the truck was going to have to be traded for something else. It was a six seater, three in the front and three in the back, but it would be too cramped to fit three car seats in the back as three of his girls would be under the age of six and Angel was still on a push up seat too.
Once they crossed the road, Evan watched Angel skip ahead and grab one of the larger trollies that they always used.
"Okay," Evan bent down so he could set Ella on her feet and kissed Cora's forehead while he moved her round to perch in one of the two baby seats at the front of the trolley. He cooed down at her, grinning from ear to ear while he untangled her hand from his gold chain she was mesmerised with and clipped the tiny belt around her waist. "Come here babygirl."
Ella wiggled into the seat, trying not to push or nudge Cora who had started to hang her hands down on the handle bar until Angel held out her teething toy she grabbed from the jeep.
A gentle smile flooded Angel's face when she felt her dad hold her shoulders and move her between his legs and the trolley so she could stay close and feel safe. Evan arched his back out, folded his arms over the handlebar that all three girls were holding onto, and started a slow walk into the shop.
They headed through the doors and turned the corner towards the fruit and veg. They had a system, they wandered down each aisle and Evan let the girls pick a lot of the stuff. He had a mental note of the main things they needed but it was always easier to quickly go down every aisle than follow a list and traipse round the shop three times for whatever was written down.
He tapped Angel's shoulder and pressed his finger and thumb together into the okay sign, moving his hand from left to right before holding his index and middle finger out in a straight line into the fruit sign.
"Any fruit you want," He pointed towards the crates and nodded so she could dip beneath his arm and pick something out. "What about you baby, what fruit do you want?" Evan didn't need to ask, he knew what the answer would be which was why he pushed the trolley further ahead towards the berries.
"Strawberries," Ella grinned, watching her dad mouth the same word at the exact same time with raised brows and curved lips. He grabbed a punnet and placed it behind her in the trolley. "Daddy…"
"Ella," Evan repeated in the same sing-song voice as he moved his hand to hold hers that had moved out towards his chest. He waited patiently for her to meet his gaze with those big blue eyes and fluttering lashes and that same perplexed smile she had when she asked him random questions.
"You know mummy's new baby,"
Evan's eyes narrowed but his smile remained while his intrigue heightened. He watched his middle daughter take his hand and hold it out in front of her like she was examining it. She traced her fingertip over each finger and moved to draw the lines and creases in the palm of his hand before she looked back up at him.
"I do, what about it, girlie?"
"Is it a girl?"
For a brief second, Evan turned and looked over at Angel, nodding when she held out a honey melon for approval before she delicately placed it in the trolley. When he saw she was holding the edge of the trolley, he slowly pushed his weight on the handlebar and they started walking further up. Angel grabbed the veg Evan pointed to while he reached his thumb out to brush against Ella's chin, making her smile.
"I don't know, it might be. I can't exactly choose, why'd you ask?" He knew there was a reason behind her sudden curiosity and he wanted to know what Ella actually wanted to ask. She was building up to it, he could see it in her eyes that were finally looking up at him.
"Make it a boy, daddy." Her eyes flitted around, searching for some sort of confirmation in his blue orbs but when he grinned, Ella whined and tugged on his hand.
"Why a boy? You want a brother this time?"
When they were expecting Cora, Ella didn't really understand what it meant or what was happening. She had always patted (Y/n)'s growing stomach and curled around it but she didn't comment or ask questions. Not until she saw Evan walking in the front door with a new bundle in his arms and she immediately started to cry. Up until that point, she had been his little girl and Cora changed the dynamics.
This time, Ella had more of a grasp of the situation. She understood that there was a baby in (Y/n)'s tummy and that there would be a new baby in the house soon.
It was different with Angel, she didn't have the same jealousy that Ella possessed. Angel liked playing with Cora and dressing her up like a doll and she liked looking after Ella and being the big sister. Plus Angel knew she was the first born, she remembered auntie Maddie always telling her she was called Angelica because Evan fell in love with his 'little angel' the moment he laid eyes on her.
Evan had different connections with each of his daughters, Angel was his first girl, Ella was his clingy baby girl and Cora was his sweetheart who always stopped crying the moment he picked her up. And when the next baby came along, he would have a new dynamic with them as well.
"No more girls daddy. No."
"Oh, are you giving me an order, Eleanor?" Evan curled his fingers and pointed his index finger at her until she squirmed and whined. "Explain."
"Baby should be a boy, you have girls a-and if you have another, I won't be babygirl anymore." Ella pulled his hand until she could nuzzle her cheek against his palm but she frowned when Evan chuckled at her. He wasn't being fair, he was laughing when she was being serious, she knew her dad could do anything. He was a brave firefighter and he could make the new baby a boy if he wanted to. If she wanted him to.
"Ella, listen to me baby," Evan kept his elbows on the handlebar and moved both hands to cup her face. "Angel is my big girl, my first Angel. Then there's someone called Eleanor, who's my babygirl. And I've got Coraline, my little button, and mummy who's my best girl. You'll always be my baby, if we have a girl I'll find another name for her and if it's a boy, I will be shocked. Okay?"
Part of Evan had felt guilty when Ella was born. He was guilty that he called his first daughter Angel because he thought when they were older Ella would be upset or felt he was favouring Angel for her nickname. He had never really called Angel babygirl, she was always his little star, his angel without wings.
And Ella had always been called his babygirl, something she was attached to and answered to every time. Cora was his button because of how delicate and small she was when she was born, and referencing the movie (Y/n) loved.
Whether they had a girl or a boy next, Evan would find a nickname for them and it would be unique and especially for them. Although he would be gobsmacked if he had a son for the first time after three beautiful daughters. He wasn't so sure he was supposed to have sons, he was a girl dad through and through so far and he was committed to it. The girls were his life, his team, his squad and they meant everything to him.
"Okay daddy,"
"Alright, now let's do some shopping." Pulling her close, Evan pressed a sloppy kiss to her temple before he sped up the pace and headed down the next aisle with Angel trotting at the front of the trolley. Happily oblivious to the conversation they were having.
Every few seconds, Angel turned around and pointed at some bread and biscuits and crumpets on the shelves, waiting for a thumbs up from Evan to know what to put in the trolley. And Ella would whine and make grabby hands at whatever she wanted which Evan would check and approve to make sure she wasn't allergic to anything in them.
He was starting to get worried at the growing list of allergies Ella had which neither Angel, Cora, (Y/n) nor Evan were allergic to. She was a mystery.
Moving the trolley to the end of an aisle, Evan grabbed a pack of eggs and kissed Cora's temple when he put them in the trolley. He held her grabby fist that was always reaching for him and swayed her hand for a minute before he went to get something else.
"Cake? My cake?" Ella held her left hand out flat and curled her right hand into a claw and started to bash her right hand down on her other palm. Making the sign for cake to her big sister who was stood near the large display of cupcakes.
Angel nodded and turned towards the shelves, scouring through until she found some vanilla cupcakes that looked like the special ones they bought. They always bought cakes that didn't contain milk rather than have special cake for Ella and different ones for the rest of them. It didn't taste too different and it was safer in case Ella got confused and ate the wrong one.
Grabbing the box, Angel turned on her heels and lifted her chin towards Evan who was heading back to the trolley.
"Daddy?" Her voice was meek and timid but she caught Evan's attention when she held up her hand, pressed her thumb to her forehead and pulled her hand away. The sign for dad.
Her fingers half-bent and her thumb curled into her palm for the sign of E before she held the cake box out and made a claw with her other hand, tapping her hand down on the box. She didn't want to put them in the trolley if they weren't the right cakes for Ella.
"Pass them here," Evan scrutinised the fine print before he nodded and put them in the trolley.
"Thank you," Ella pressed her fingers to her chin and made the sign at her sister.
Evan cooed at Cora again and bent down to rub their noses together when she started to squeal and make a few strange noises around her teething ring. He steered the trolley down the meat aisle with Angel half a pace in front of him and rounded into the tins.
He threw a few things in alongside Angel before she turned towards him. She curled her hand into a fist, holding out her index finger and moved her hand in front of her, curling her finger repeatedly. The sign for cereal.
"Go ahead, but stay close." Evan didn't like Angel wandering too far ahead of him.
It was easier if she was behind him because he could turn and sign and talk to her but if she was in front, it was harder to gain her attention and she didn't always turn around often. Sometimes he had to run up behind her and gently grab her shoulder so she knew it was him and not some stranger sneaking up on her. But Angel knew to stay close to him wherever they went and she was too nervous to stray far from her parents anyway.
"Jelly, daddy, mummy wants jelly for baby," Ella tapped the shelf beside her and watched Evan card through the packets until he found the raspberry one. (Y/n) didn't normally like jelly, the texture was off-putting but their newest baby had a craving for it.
"Yes she does, what one do you want baby?"
Angel dragged her fingertips along the edge of the shelf, feeling the different boxes quake and move beneath her touch as she scuttled to the end of the aisle. The cereal was on the next aisle to the right and she wanted some of the chocolate cookie cereal (Y/n) had bought her last week.
She barely turned round the corner when she collided with someone. She stumbled back a few steps, coiling her arms into her sides and closing her eyes for a second before she dared look up and see who she had ran into. She hadn't expected anyone to be that close to the corner she was curving around.
Her eyes looked up to see a man a bit older than her dad, staring down at her with intensive eyes that unsettled her and a curling lip like a dog snarling at her.
Angel could feel her hand trembling as she curled her fingers into a fist and quickly brushed her fist over her chest in repetitive circles, whispering a quiet 'sorry' along with the sign. She didn't like talking in public, she couldn't tell how loud she was being or if she was being too quiet and her pronouncing was very off. She could only tell by her parent's approving nods or their tentative smiles whether she was correct or needed a bit of tweaking to her words.
Her eyes darted down to the floor and her mouth fell open when she saw she had knocked two boxes of cereal and about three small boxes of teabags out of his hands by mistake. Without thinking, Angel squatted down and reached out to gather the items up that had spread across the floor.
Her skittish eyes dragged around the floor to see if she had grabbed everything but she couldn't hear him telling her to stop.
Adrenaline burst through her chest and a scream left her lips when she suddenly felt a hand coil around her shoulder and give her a sharp shove. Her trembling hands dropped everything back onto the floor and she tipped backwards on her heels and fell back onto her bum.
The impact didn't hurt but she could feel tears welling in her eyes as she looked up at the stranger like a deer caught in the headlights.
When he leaned down like he was about to either shout at her or try and touch her again, Angel whipped her head to the right and locked her eyes on her dad. She could see the thunder burning in his eyes and how red his face was starting to turn but she couldn't work out what he was saying. His lips were moving too fast for her to work out but he looked like he was shouting.
Her hands shook so badly she could barely hold them out straight. She held her left palm out, curled her right hand into the thumbs up sign and started to bash her fist down onto her left palm.
Help.
Evan's heart pounded in his chest as he bolted down to the end of the aisle, leaving Ella and Cora a few feet behind him in the trolley so they were close by but not next to whatever scene was playing out with his other daughter. He could feel the fury radiating through him when he noticed Angel was crying and she was shakily trying to sign for help.
As soon as he was beside her, Evan grabbed her beneath her arms and picked her up. He placed her a few feet back and stood in front of her with his left arm curled behind him, holding her hip to keep her safely behind him like a human shield for his girl.
He could feel her fingers curling around his trouser leg and her face buried in his lower back just next to his left hip.
"Did you just touch my daughter?!" Anger dripped off Evan's tongue like venom as he looked the elder man up and down.
He was an inch shorter than Evan with hair fading to grey and stubble covering his chin but it was the displeased look on his face that sent Evan reeling. He looked at Angel like she was some kind of inconvenience or a child terrorising him. But Evan had seen his daughter try to pick up whatever was on the floor so he guessed she had bumped into him by mistake.
He heard the stranger angrily tell her to stop- which she couldn't hear- but he went livid when he watched him push his daughter. How dare he think he had any right to try and touch her or get stern with her. She was being kind, she was being considerate picking his items up off the floor when she didn't have to.
"She ran into me-"
"Yeah, by accident and she was trying to apologise."
He held his hand out and shook his palm to try and get his point across while his other hand stayed behind him and rubbed up and down Angel's back to calm her down. At least she couldn't hear what was happening. He let his eyes dart back to the trolley where Cora was gurgling and Ella was watching with worry in her eyes. He had to keep watch over all his girls and keep them safe.
"I told her not to, she should have been careful-"
"No, I don't give a fuck-" Evan curled his hand into a fist and pointed his index finger at the stranger who was really starting to rub him up the wrong way. He was being snarky and inconsiderate and Evan was going to lose his temper. "You do not lay a hand on my daughter or talk to her like that. Get the fuck back."
He pressed his palm into the man's chest and gave him a rough shove back to add some space between them. He had no right to push Angel or try to grab her, he had frightened her when he should have let her pick the items up and hand them back to him. She said sorry and she made amends, he was in the wrong here.
"Don't touch me-"
"Don't touch my daughter."
"She needs to learn some manners."
"Manners?!" Angel took a step back when Evan let go of her and grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt. He shoved him back into the shelf behind and pinned him up against the baked goods. "She's deaf and she was signing for help because you frightened her! Manners is having some respect for a child and letting her pick up the shit you dropped. If you want manners, you apologise to my girl before I deck you."
"Help daddy," Angel made the sign for help twice before she raised her thumb to her forehead and signed dad. Her eyes locked on three familiar faces just down the next aisle. The colleagues from her dad's place of work.
"Buck, what're you doing?"
Bobby let go of his trolley and ran towards the scene along with Eddie and the pair of them grabbed one of Evan's arms each and pulled him back before he did something he would regret. Their large shop for the station meals was long forgotten when they moved over towards Evan. While Chimney held Angel's shoulder and moved her a few feet away towards the trolley where Cora was making strange noises and Ella was repeating 'go daddy!' not understanding the situation.
"I'll call the police-"
"Go ahead and I'll tell them some stranger thought he had the right to grab my daughter in the middle of the shop and push her!"
Evan riled in their arms but he held his hands out and sighed when the man shivered and stormed off. He knew he wasn't going to win this argument and if the men let go of Evan for one second, he knew he would be caught up in a fight he didn't really want. He was in the wrong and everyone would know that if the police got involved.
"Buck, wanna explain what that was all about?" Bobby patted his shoulder while Eddie dragged him a few feet towards the girls and away from the crowd that was starting to gather.
"Angel bumped into him and he fucking pushed her down, he frightened her I- I thought he was gonna hit her." His chest heaved and pounded to gain back his breath but he froze when Angel pulled away from Chimney and shot forward to wrap herself around his legs.
He bent his knees and scooped Angel up into his arms, sitting her safely on his hip so she could curve her arms around his neck and burrow down into his chest like she was a toddler again. Evan cupped the back of her head and pulled her closer so he could merge his lips with her temple and reassure himself that she was indeed alright.
"I've got you, Angel."
"Come on, we'll do our shop alongside yours." Bobby patted Buck's shoulder and motioned towards Eddie to go and grab the trolley they left behind. It would be wise to follow Evan for the remainder of his shop in case anything else happened while they were all here.
"Aren't you a cutie?" Chimney whispered, tuning out of the conversation and into his own interaction with Cora who had taken it upon herself to grab his hand and start gnawing on his index finger.
***
A groan bubbled up at the back of Evan's throat and he moved his head, nuzzling his face down into the back of (Y/n)'s head to try and get comfy again. He could feel he had his right arm draped over her waist and he used it to his advantage and pulled her closer until her back was glued up into his bare chest.
He brought his knees up until they were curved beneath (Y/n)'s bent legs and his groin was pressing up into her bum.
He let his hand smooth up and down her bare stomach for a minute while he breathed in her scent and tried to get comfy again and settle back down. There was no streaks of light creeping through the curtains and his surroundings were dark so Evan knew he wasn't about to get woken up by his alarm just yet.
He could feel (Y/n)'s breathing change when he grinded into her again and when she slowly turned onto her back, Evan took full advantage. His leg looped over hers and shimmied between her thighs to part them and he wormed his way over until his upper half was laid on her chest and his face was buried in the crook of her neck.
It felt heavenly to have (Y/n)'s hand lazily reach up to card through his curls and scratch his scalp. He knew she wouldn't stay on her back for very long, she was never comfy laid like that and with the amount of time (Y/n) spent being pregnant, she didn't like laying on her back with the baby pressed down on her.
His hand moved up to cradle the back of her neck when she turned onto her side to face him. She let his knee press up between her legs and she looped her thigh over his own like they were playing a game of jenga with their limbs.
But just as Evan groaned and ran his hand down from her neck to her bra, his eyes shot open and his whole body jerked when he felt an arm curl around his neck from behind him.
"Fuck!"
"Babe…?" (Y/n) kissed Evan's chest and moved her hand to rub up and down his bare chest, wondering why he suddenly moved like he had been possessed. She could feel herself about to fall back asleep until she felt her husband moving around again.
"Jesus, it's Angel, she's in here with us."
When had she snuck in bed with them?
Evan usually knew when either Angel or Ella tried to sneak in the bed, he could hear Ella clamber onto the bed and huff. She tried to be stealth and quiet but she fidgeted a lot and he knew when she laid on his chest and fell asleep on him. Angel was a lot quicker and quieter and she usually stayed on the edge of the bed and slept where there was a gap so they didn't know.
This time he didn't feel her clamber into bed. She could have been there for a few hours for all Evan knew.
Evan was slow and careful as he sluggishly twisted round and laid on his back so he could look down at his eldest girl. She had been glued to Evan all day since the incident at the store, Evan couldn't even get a shower without Angel hanging by the door waiting for him to pick her up afterwards and cuddle with her. He had stayed with her while she fell asleep and now she was back in their bed for comfort and love.
"Alright girlie, I'm here, I've got you." It didn't matter that she couldn't hear him, she could sense him and that was all Evan cared about.
He flopped like a fish onto his right side and reeled his arm around her so he could tug her into his chest. His lips smothered the top of her head and he nuzzled Angel into him, feeling her arm curve around his torso and her nose brush against his sternum.
He shuffled back a little until he finally felt (Y/n)'s stomach pushing into his back just above his hips and her arm fell over his waist. She knew he wanted touch to be able to go back to sleep again and (Y/n) wedged her leg between his thighs for added comfort.
When Angel fidgeted in his arms, Evan gave her a bit of room to get comfy. She curled both her arms around his bicep and pressed her lips into his arm, clinging to him for dear life.
Even as his mind was starting to switch off, Evan worked on automatic. He curled his middle and fourth finger into his palm, leaving his pinkie, index and thumb sticking up and he pressed that hand against Angel's back. Letting her feel the sign he was gently patting into her skin.
I love you.

The night before you were expected – along with the rest of your family – at your grandparents’ Tahoe cabin, you called up your childhood best friend to help you drown your sorrows at the Hard Deck. The air in the bar was dense with a steady throb of ‘80s music and the slur of dozens of drunken conversations. There were so many people that, even though you immediately shed your jacket, a bead of sweat rolled down your back before you even reached the bar. Still, the Hard Deck was like a second home to you, and its chaos enveloped you with all the warmth of a hug from a friend who was a little more drunk than they’d admit.
Nat was already at the bar. She had a beer in one hand, another waiting for you in front of the empty barstool next to her. You smiled. She must have put up quite a fight to keep that seat for you on such a busy night.
You hopped up on the barstool and snagged your beer, relishing in its coolness more than its taste. How long until Nat gave up on trying to get you to like IPAs? At least this one was potable, unlike the last one she tried to get you to drink.
“You’re late,” she said.
“Sorry, I was packing.” You had to yell over the clash of noise between you. “Do you know how hard it is to pack winter clothes? I have, like, three suitcases. Full.”
Nat laughed. “Excited much?”
You slammed your bottle of beer down on the counter like an inebriated judge making a ruling. “I’m actually not going to go.”
“To your grandparents’ 60th anniversary?” Nat arched her brows.
“Yes. Think about it.” You sat up straighter. “I’m alone with my family in the mountains. I’m the only grandchild not in a relationship. We’re all there to celebrate love. My grandma tells me fourteen times that she had two kids by my age. Auntie Marnie will get wine drunk and ask why I’m not dating anyone when I’m such a catch. All the cousins will bring their partners and they’ll hold hands and make googly eyes at each other and kiss each other in the kitchen. Everyone will be so in love, and I’ll stick out like a sore thumb. And I can’t even bring you with me because you’re working. Ugh, this is going to suck.”
“I’m sure it won’t be that bad.” Nat took a swig of her beer.
“Didn’t I tell you about Sabrine’s wedding?” You knew you had. Your cousin’s wedding was sweet and intimate, and of course you were happy for her and Matt. But there were moments that sent you teetering toward something akin to an existential crisis. And the constant comments from your aunts, the snide remarks from your brother, and the oppressive sense of love in the air definitely did not help. Slightly buzzed in your aunt’s backyard the night before the ceremony, watching everyone declare their love in a thousand small ways (an easy brush of the hands, a fork of pasta held up like an offering, a future planned by spoken word), you couldn’t help but draw up your feet and stare at the stars like they had an answer for you.
Nat shrugged this off. “Then bring a date. There’s plenty of eligible bachelors in this bar right now.”
As if her words were a spell, a seaman tapped on her shoulder. Nat was in civilian clothes, so her high rank wasn’t visible to ward him off like on most other nights. She snapped around. Her teeth must have been barred because she sent him skittering into the crowd in record time.
“Oh yeah,” you sipped your drink, “plenty of eligible bachelors.”
“Shut up. I’m not the one leaving on a flight tomorrow morning, desperately lonely, heading for a fate as terrible as celebrating love.”
“Who’s celebrating love?” Jake appeared like a demon summoned straight from hell.
When Nat first introduced you to the Daggers, they had all been intimidating. But only Hangman had you on edge. You’d softened up to the guy in the years since, but you didn’t need him knowing about how “desperately lonely” you were. In fact, there was only one man in the world who you wanted to see less than Jake in that moment. And if Jake was there, it was only a matter of time before he was, too.
Nat tipped her beer toward you. “She doesn’t want to be the only single person at her grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary this weekend.”
God. There he was. Popped up right as you expected – and dreaded. His loud Hawaiin shirt poorly concealed his heavily muscled arms. His aviators hung off his undershirt, and they rattled against his chest as he laughed at your predicament. You couldn’t even look at his face.
“I just know my family’s going to give me a hard time,” you said in panicked defense. “Even if they don’t mean to.”
Bradley draped an arm over your shoulder. He’d done it so countless times in knowing you, like it never fazed him. It probably didn’t. He did it to Hangman and Phoenix and Bob, too. However, you had never gotten used to the feel of his skin against your own. Your face got hot, and you hoped he couldn’t feel the sweat spreading under your shirt
He brought his mouth close to your ear to ensure you heard him over the ruckus of the bar. “Whatever your family says about you, just know that they’re right.”
You wriggled out from under his arm, and he doubled over laughing. So did Hangman and Phoenix.
“Don’t let him get under your skin,” Nat said after collecting herself.
You rolled your eyes. He was already under your skin. Had been from the moment you first laid eyes on him. Spread like an itch that was always there, but one you could never scratch.
“C’mon, let’s play some pool.” Jake vanished into the crowd, knowing the three of you would follow.
You had never been so thankful to be around the pool table, even though some nights you dreaded it. Every one of the Daggers could outplay you in pool; you always felt bad for whoever was unlucky enough to be your partner. And normally, you felt a little awkward when the conversation turned to work. Fighter jets and naval bureaucracy were not things you were well versed in, but that night, you were grateful for the work conversation to overshadow the conversation about your lack of a love life.
Unfortunately, when you and Nat were down three-nothing, somehow your love life took center stage again.
Jake sank the cue ball – such a rare occurrence the four of you stood still against the wave of bar patrons for a solid five seconds before you and Nat cheered.
“Nice going, Seresin.” Nat patted you on the shoulder. “Set her up real nice.”
Jake scoffed.
Bradley winked at you as you set the cue ball on the table. He mouthed good luck, and you – along with your chances of winning – were a goner.
You had a perfect opportunity to sink the ruby red 7 ball. You lined up your shot, pulled back on your cue stick, took a shallow breath – that did not calm your nerves – and completely missed. The cue ball jumped around the table, smacking into solids and stripes alike. Everyone leaned in as it collided with the 8 ball, sending it hurtling toward the corner. By some small miracle, it missed the pocket by a breath. Both the 8 and cue balls rolled to an unceremonious stop.
“Well, that could have been worse.” Nat sounded like she was trying to reassure herself.
“Jesus,” Jake said. “No need to worry about your boy troubles if this is how you play pool after two years of practice with the best.”
Your cheeks warmed. Usually, you could at least hold your own. Your partner would have to do a lot of heavy lifting, but they could count on you to sink a few balls. At the very least, they could count on you not to do whatever the hell that just was. You could feel everyone staring, Jake’s mishap long forgotten. You could especially feel Bradley’s gaze on you. It was hotter in the bar than when you first arrived. You crossed your arms over your chest, rubbing a thumb against the sticky skin of your upper arm.
“Don’t you think she should just bring a date to the anniversary?” Nat asked the two other aviators as Bradley lined up his shot. “That would keep her family off her back.”
You dug your nails into your skin to keep from lunging at her over the pool table.
Hangman grinned, his teeth flashing against the neon lights. “Sure. Any luck with those dating apps?”
“Ha ha,” you said. “It’s no use. Besides the fact that they suck ass, my plane leaves at 8:30 tomorrow morning.”
Bradley sank two stripes in one shot. Before taking another, he gestured around the bar. “And these fine men don’t meet your standards? They are members of the American Armed Forces, after all.”
“I’m not taking a stranger on my grandparent’s 60th anniversary trip, thank you.”
Bradley shrugged. He missed the 15 ball.
Nat leaned over to take her shot. She looked up at the boys, flashed a smile at you, then said, “What if she took one of the Dagger boys?”
Your hands flew to the edge of the pool table for support, otherwise, you might have gone down.
“What, should she take Bob?” Jake’s voice was laced with alcohol and utter delight in your misery. “He’d have a heart attack trying to keep up a ruse like that.”
Jake and Bradley shared a good laugh, only to be quieted when Nat went on a run and sank four solids before finally missing.
She straightened and used her cue stick to point at them. “Y’know, I was kind thinking about one of you two.”
Your blood just about froze solid in your veins. What the hell was Nat thinking? You’d rather die than spend a long weekend at Jake’s side – you just couldn’t bear a constant barrage of snarky comments and showboating. And you’d actually rather die than have Bradley at your side, touching you in his casual way, his shit-eating grin dawning under his mustache, and god forbid his winking.
Jake smirked. “Surely there are easier ways to ask us out.”
“Yeah, we don’t bite.” Bradley laughed. “Before I consider the offer, how nice is this cabin?”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah, I’m dying to go out with the both of you. How could you see right through me?”
You prayed that no one could see right through you. Especially as your heart rate quickened when Bradley’s gaze settled on you, clouded with thought.
“Assholes,” Nat grumbled as Jake sank the rest of the stripes and the 8 ball in three easy shots. You two were down four-nothing.
Your night of drinking with Nat was ruined. You half-hoped Bob would pop up, offer to be your date, and whisk you away for a respectful and very platonic weekend. Your heart sank like the 8 ball when you remembered he was deployed for three months somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
Reality settled in and you figured you might as well get a good night’s sleep before braving the cold mountains and your family.
“I think I’m gonna head home.” You hugged Nat. “Sorry for being a shitty pool partner.”
“I wouldn’t expect any less of you.” She dropped her voice and whispered in your ear. “Sorry for pimping you out like that.”
You shook your head. As much as you had wanted the ground to swallow you, you appreciated her efforts to make your weekend less miserable. Even if she was a little out of line.
You said goodbye to the boys, gathered your purse and your jacket, and left. The noise of the bar melted into the cool, quiet night. You pulled out your phone and ordered yourself an Uber. A slight breeze chased away the sheen of sweat on your skin, and you allowed yourself a moment’s respite under the moonlight.
“Hey.”
You spun around. Bradley was standing there, his hands in his pockets.
“Hey.” Your voice was a little too loud. You’d been yelling all night over the noise of the bar, after all. “Did I forget something?”
“No. I just wanted to say sorry.” He smiled. “For teasing you about the whole no date thing.”
“Oh. Thanks, I guess.” Goosebumps raised on your arms.
“Y’know, I’ve never been to Tahoe.”
“Oh really?” You started to struggle on your jacket to fight the chill. Bradley held a hand out, and you gave him your purse so you could slip your jacket on easier. “Thanks. You’ve never been to Tahoe?”
“Nope.” He handed your purse back.
“Thanks,” you said again. “That’s a bummer. It’s beautiful, especially at this time of the year. A late snowstorm just rolled through, it should be a winter wonderland up there.”
“Well,” he took a step closer to you. “I was thinking. I’ve never been to Tahoe, you still need a date, I enjoy your company…”
You swallowed hard. Were you dreaming? “Bradley, my flight leaves early tomorrow.”
“So? I’ve got leave. I’m used to early mornings.” His smile was nearly blinding in the full moonlight.
“Did Nat put you up to this?” You tried to catch a glance of her through the large windows, but the Hard Deck was just too packed.
“A little. But to be honest, I didn’t need a lot of convincing. I think it could be fun.”
You fiddled with a button of your jacket, unable to look at him. Before you could think of an excuse to reject his offer, you blurted, “Pick me up from my place?”
“Of course. That’s what a good boyfriend does.” He pulled you in for a quick hug. A completely platonic, pat-on the back, ends-quick-as-it-started type hug. So why did your heart almost stop?
“I’ll book your ticket,” you said over the jackhammering beat of your heart. “You don’t have to worry about anything. Just be at my apartment at 6:00.”
Your Uber pulled up to the curb.
“I’ve gotta go.” You edged toward the car. “But, just – thank you so much. I know this is weird, but I really appreciate it.”
He winked. “Anytime.”
As you settled in the back of the Toyota Camry, you took a deep breath. What the hell did you just get yourself into?

Gojo Satoru is straight up a bad drunk. He even said so himself, and everyone could attest to that.
So why did you let him drink at this godforsaken bar?
"Shokooo!" Satoru flailed his glass, wobbling on his feet. He sounded so unhinged that made the people next table gave him stink eyes. "Give me anoth-er! Anotheeeer!"
"Hells," Shoko winced at the sight, her hands moving the beer bottle away from his reach. "No, you're positively wasted."
You plucked the glass out of his hands. "Cut it out, Gojo. You're making a scene!"
"Anooo—" he hiccupped, his weight dangerously leaning on you in an attempt to get his glass back as well as forcing Shoko to grant him another cup. "—theerrr! Anotherrr! Shokooo! C'mon!"
"Do something about him! Or else we're going to be stuck here."
"I'm trying!"
This whole night was a total mishap. None of you are of age, and therefore neither of you should have gone out for drinks by falsifying your IDs. Shoko initially just invited you and Nanami, until the latter promptly declined when Satoru sprung out of nowhere and declared himself going.
He whipped his head so suddenly when the bell in the entrance of the bar jingled. A customer walked in, and he was a total stranger—neither you or Shoko recognized him.
“Oh my… isn’t that…”
But Satoru, teary-eyed in his drunken haze, seemed to see far beyond you did. "...Suguru? Suguruuuu!"
"Oh God, no!" You kept your hands on his waist tightly as he almost leapt out to barrel towards the poor stranger. "Shoko! Help!"
"Gojo, you shithead! He is not! Stop it!"
"But he is! Suguruuuu~!"
And so his thrashing and the ruckus he caused got the three of you kicked out of the bar. Shoko immediately washed her hands off him by saying that she was hopping to the next bar and left you struggling to keep your balance, with Satoru heavily leaning on you as the two of you trek across the road to Jujutsu High compound.
"Gojo—don't do that! Keep walking!"
"Mmmmm~" he slurred, swaying to the left and right as he pleased and you swore, one more time and you would fling him to the asphalt. "Why Gojo? It's Satoru! Sa-to-ru!"
"Come on you ass, we need to go back!" you hissed.
"Say my name first!"
And when he deliberately swayed dangerously to the side, you really let him go—and then he hit the sidewalk.
You wanted to scream. Satoru merely burst into a fit of giggles though.
Somehow, you managed to get him back. But this whole disaster didn't end there as right after you unlocked his door, he suddenly pushed his whole weight on you, making you bump into the counter.
"It hurts! Satoru, you idiot!" You scowled, rubbing your stinging shoulder—it would probably leave a nasty bruise. And it caught his attention. Satoru turned to you, his sparkly eyes boring right into yours.
"You're pwetty," he jabbed a finger at your face, slurring. You flinched at how close his finger to your eye socket was.
"Thank you." You swat his finger away, not in favor of the possibility of being blind tonight. "Now we must get you to the bed. Come—"
You apparently didn't know that alcohol could mess his system so much that it came as a total surprise when he crashed his lips onto yours without warning. "Mmfh!"
Satoru grabbed the back of your head and entangled his fingers in your hair, deepening the kiss. It was searing, his tongue attacking your mouth and sometimes bit your lips and he was so good—
He then led you to his bed, and tore your shirt open, his deft hands caressing and fondling everything your body had to offer, and for a moment even you felt drunk too. It was intoxicating how quickly he rendered you putty, how the blue in his eyes darkened with desire, and it was all for you—
"Sweetheart," he whispered in a low, scratchy voice. "Now, open up for me, yeah?"
You barely caught the meaning of his words when a finger inside you made you see stars. Your eyes widened, and your moans were muffled when he shoved his mouth again against yours. It was dizzying, and you felt lost in his arms, as he kept twisting his finger inside.
This certainly wasn't what you imagined it was going to be. You two were a couple, and couples fuck. But this... you had half a mind to push him away, and you were really going to, when he suddenly pulled away from the kiss, gazing at you with half-lidded, unfocusing eyes and sloppy grin.
"... really... you are..."
And to your horror, he suddenly collapsed, his full weight squashing you.
You blinked in disbelief. What just happened? You felt like a starfish pinned under a rock.
And all you could fathom now was that this grown-ass man child had left you aroused and wet down there.
Tumblr media
When Satoru woke up the next morning, he was in a shocking amount of hangover. There was this dull ache in the back of his head and forefront of his temples, and he felt nauseous. He braced himself against the headboard, willing it to pass.
He had been drinking. He took a mental note not to ever drink again. He always feels so miserable afterwards. What possessed him to go for it last night? Darn him and his impulsivity.
He remembered thinking the world had became such a happy place. He remembered seeing Suguru and thinking he had come to give him a hug. He remembered you sulking against him, and you looked so freaking cute that he couldn't help but pounce on you altogether.
And that's where his memory blanked out. What happened afterwards?
Then he realized that you were beside him on this very bed. He looked at you, who had barely cocooned yourself in the blanket. Your hair was in disarray, a few buttons of your shirt loosened—missing, even? And is that what he thinks it is on your neck?
Did he bite you so hard that you bled?
Dread pooled at his gut at the possibility of what he had done.
"Hey," he muttered, shaking you, in a state of half-panic. "Hey—wake up, please."
You whined at the rude awakening, cracking one eye open. "Satoru..." your voice was still thick with sleep and a deep frown creased on your face. "...what is it?"
And Satoru shuddered. The way his name rolled from your lips so languidly seemed to ignite something feral within him, but he ignored it.
"Hey, uh—are you... are you okay?"
"Huh?" you shot him an annoyed grunt. "It's still early, Satoru. Please, I need sleep. I'm tired after the shit you pulled on me last night."
"What shit?" he tried to sound unconcerned with the way you referred it, but he still gulped.
"...you don't remember?"
"Sorry," he muttered.
"Gods..." now you were frustrated. You buried your face in the pillow. "You put me through hell, Satoru. And not to mention—"
"Did I force myself on you?" he asked with a lower tone. "If I did, I'm... sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Hu—what?"
Satoru felt another wave of nausea at his gut, and he tried to suppress it. "I didn't mean to wreck you. I know I'm lousy, but that definitely wasn't what I planned."
Confusion was palpable on your face, even though you were still half-asleep. "Sure... it's okay..."
"I..." Satoru was at a loss of words. You were all but confirming that he did rail you in the worst way. He wasn't exactly the type who would make the first time memorable or such, but he certainly didn't want it to be a forceful act on a spur of a drunken night. What could he say to that?
"Satoru? You don't seem well," you furrowed your brows, noticing how restless and pale he was. "Are you having hangover? Do you want some water?"
He wanted to kick himself as his sanity eaten away by the sheer guilt and shame. He pressed both hands to cover his face. "I'm so uncool..."
"Finally you're realizing it. Would be better if you do it during the day and not—" You checked your phone. "—at freaking five in the morning. But seriously, are you doing okay? You drank quite a lot last night."
No, he wasn't. The urge to puke was still there and his head was still pounding.
"What's gotten into you?" now worry was present in your tone. "Satoru, please. You're acting strange. It's still to early for whatever it is that you're plotting. Just tell me if you're not feeling well."
He stayed quiet for a while, trying to remember to what extend the damage he had done. But you seemed to translate it as him not feeling well as you let out a sigh and begrudgingly sat up to get him a glass of water. Poor you, he thought. Should he take an advantage of you fully and unashamedly just like he usually did?
You handed him the glass. "Here, drink this." He took it, but just stared at it. His crestfallen expression made you twitch in irritation. "Drink already. What are you thinking anyway?"
"Don't you... resent me?" Satoru mumbled with resignation, finally having the courage to look at you.
"For what? Last night?"
"What else? Why are you still worrying about me?"
"That's..." you faltered, bewildered. "You feel that bad about it? Satoru, you were a pain but it's your everyday thing already so be grateful that I'm not holding it against you."
"Everyday thing?" he asked incredulously. "Hey, it's—that's not something I do everyday!"
"It sure is! You are always whining, being dramatic and causing trouble!"
"Hey, but it's not about that! I'm talking about how I almost did you with violence!"
"Do... me?"
"That!" he pointed at your bruised neck, then looked away with guilt. "I... don't know how it escalated to that, but I'm truly sorry."
You reached to the bruise, somewhere between your neck and shoulder, and winced a bit. "Ah this. You pushed me and I crashed into that cupboard."
"Oh?" Satoru blinked in surprise. "And that, your shirt? Your missing buttons?"
"You tore it, but then you fell on me, you idiot."
"So... I didn't rape you?"
Your face immediately burst into the shades of red. You scrunched up your face in exasperation. "I'll blast you if you did it without my consent, Gojo Satoru. But thankfully no."
A whole load of self-blame dissipated from him and he almost laughed had the urge to throw up not this overwhelming.
"Apparently you're decent enough to think if you've wronged me. It's a surprise," you mused with a smug grin.
"Of course I am!" he scowled. But suddenly his queasiness shot up, and his vision blurred. And what came next was the contents of his stomach.
"Satoru! What the hell!? Don't vomit on me!"

Epilogue
"And that's what happened," you explained with contempt. Satoru puckered his lips in indignation, meanwhile Shoko threw her head back, wheezing in a fit of laughter.
"Gojo, you're such a baby," she cackled with satisfaction. "Losing against mere alcohol. Not the strongest, after all, huh?"
He rolled his eyes. "I hope your liver rots from drinking and smoking so much."

★ ─── KILLSWITCH LULLABY . . . ( 03 )
warnings. cursing, toji vs parenting, in a world where toji actually takes care of baby gumi, gumi is at least 8 months old, non! sorcerer au, infant doctor! reader, toji uses the zenin clan name, but baby gumi is a fushiguro (takes after his mother).
note. this was not proofread, and extremely rushed omg :(
-> series masterlist.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"first day of training went well, judging from how you look?" you asked, hopping on a bar stool — and toji who had his uniform disheveled, the navy colored tie was somehow loose and in an odd direction, "you look amazing."
he rolled his eyes, "shitty people everywhere, your cousin stands this kind 'f work?"
"can't speak for him, he's always been a people person, you know what i mean?" you shrug, pulling your bag strap over your head before lightly tossing the fully filled tote bag onto the counter, "where's he anyways?"
"went home, said some important shit came up and he needed to go, so he told me to lock up the place." it was relieving to say the least that megumi was fast asleep in his baby carrier, his head uncomfortably nodding off, a vague stream of liquid dragging from the corner of his lips down to his chin.
"need help?"
he was hesitant, but nodded anyways, "i have no fucking idea how to clean the espresso machine," his voice was hushed — but you could hear it loud and clear, nodding your head.
"don't worry, i'll take care of that. (cousin) taught me some stuff back when i was in college," approaching the espresso machine, your movements were swift. what toji had been trying to do for at least half an hour prior to your arrival was all done within ten minutes by you, "there. all done. anything else i can help with?"
" . . . thanks, and no, i got everything else done."
nodding, you took a good look around the dim-lit room. chairs flipped and placed neatly above the table — floors mopped clean, and here toji was, wiping the counter top with a baby latched to his chest, "you've got the handle of it, and it's surprising that it's your first day of training. great job."
the male didn't answer you, although his hand continued moving in a slow pace. slowly he walks over towards the sink, wetting the cloth he had under the running water to clean off any specks of sweets, spice, and everything nice. he uses his hands to rub the wet cloth against each other before tapping the water off, stretching excess water off the cloth; folding it neatly before placing it right by the sink.
"there any reason to why you're not leaving?" toji questions. asking himself if the question he had just asked came out too harsh or inappropriate for you.
tittering out at his question, you shook your head, "i usually come here, but (cousin) never said anything about him clocking out early today. so, 'm just keeping you company, y'know?" you walked around the bar and hopped back on top of the stool, leaning your chin onto the palm of your hand.
if toji hadn't know the basics of you — he'd think you were making fun of him, "right, you don't have to do that."
all his life, toji's been majorly alone. at least until megumi was born, loneliness isn't a stranger to him. he's been so used to receiving that treatment, to the point where a person's company . . . made him feel surreal. in the past, the constant feeling of loneliness gnawed inside him persistently, always leaving him hollow and yearning.
but today? today was different. toji had gotten so used to that feeling that he's practically one with it now.
"do you want me to leave?" you asked.
he raises his head up slightly, shooting you a look that screams out, "do whatever you want."
"would you mind if i stay, though?" he shook his head slowly, not a single word or sound escaped his throat, "then i'm staying."
"do whatever you want . . . 'm just saying you didn't have to keep me company, i'm fine being on my own." he mutters out, letting out a light grunt at the end of his statement.
eyeing him, you chuckled, "do you live around here?"
toji nods, swinging his bag over his shoulder carefully not to wake megumi up from his deep slumber, "why'd you ask?" he narrowed his eyes slightly in suspicion.
"good, i'm driving you home," jutting your chin out towards the doors where a pristine white colored old sedan was parked expectantly by the sidewalk in front of the closed cafe, then you look at him with high hopes.
the male sighs, "it's fine, i can take the bus."
you immediately shook your head no at his revelation, "the bus is pretty scary at night — you have baby gumi with you too, 'ts pretty dangerous at this hour, you know?" you were right. but toji hated the fact that if he was to accept your offer, he'd triple the debt he had with you.
" . . . i can fight."
"not with baby gumi, you're not." you shut him down, grabbing your car keys, "just hop on, you said it was nearby, right? i really won't mind at all."
toji exhaled loudly, "how should i repay you for a ride?"
you grimaced out in disbelief, head shaking out in denial, "'m not asking you for anything — just let me drive you home, toji." the male shifted a bit on his spot, hand flying up, enmeshing his fingers along his lightly disheveled hair.
"it's fine, doc."
doc? you raised a brow briefly before letting out a defeated sigh, spirit bent under the weight of the male's persistence, "well— you have my number, in case anything happens, feel free to contact me, yeah?"
"right."
Tumblr media
[ y/n l/n ] : did you arrive home safely?
toji stared at his phone screen, switching it off before turning it back on again with a slight tap to the screen — he'd wonder if it was the fatigue catching up with him. or did you really ask him about his safety?
the notification had gone in at least fifteen minutes ago, and toji had been staring at it since it first attracted his attention after he tucked megumi in his little crib. sitting under the dim light, he exhaled loudly through his nostrils.
[ toji zenin ] : yeah
and not even a second later, his phone vibrated right on top of the wooden surface of his dining table. it was expectant, but of course you had replied back to him — in a matter of seconds at that, but toji decided not to take a look at it. laying the old device, screen down onto the table before he laid his head down slowly onto the table top.
his breaths were shallow as he hunched over a bit. for quite some time he stayed in that position, pondering over the events that had washed over his dull and boring life in the past few days. meeting his son's doctor that left him with lingering uncertainty in his mind and even getting a new job because of them.
toji had lost count for the times he wished life could've been easier on him. yes he made stupid choices, and earned stupid prices. the mere action that he made that one dire night had consequences, and he lived to bear it — he had to go into job interviews only to receive nothing but looks that contained disdain, scorn, and disrespect for having his infant son with him, the loud whispers those people thought could never be heard by him were louder than a rasping hiss.
it was completely repulsive.
but life could be pretty strange. time resembled a fractured mirror that reflects distorted fragments of the past, present, and future. uncertainty walking on a tightrope. toji didn't know what was next. the male is so full of distrust that meeting you could either be a new beginning in this little life of his — or you could be a new addition to his long list of mishaps.
the thing is, everything comes back to him to decide.

everything at 18, but nothing at 22
alternatively: times she finished in the points while he dnfs
in which the drastic difference in their performance in their career seems to finally be catching up to them
(series masterlist)
Tumblr media
-> australia, 2023
she simply cannot wipe the permanent smile on her face. she runs into her garage, straight from weigh-in, immediately greeted by blythe and ciara who are quick to take her in for a hug.
"oh, i made the points!" she laughs, jumping in a circle with her sisters. "can you believe it? i made history just by finishing in the top 10 today!"
"i told you you'll be amazing!" ciara puts her hands on her older sister's cheeks, before quickly pulling her in for another tight hug. "you did so well on the track amidst all the chaos!"
"history in the making with you just being here!" blythe shrieks, grabbing her shoulder. "you were amazing on the track. half the grid retired - did seb tell you?"
"he did," she laughs, slowly settling down as she stands on her feet. "speaking of that, i've got to speak to logan."
"no need to look around, i've got him here with me," oscar's accent fills her garage. "good job finishing above me, mate."
another shrill shriek escapes her mouth as she hops over to the two boys still in their race suits. she is received by oscar first, whispering neverending praises into her ear as they sway in their spot. she rubs circles on his back as they exchange compliments, both proud at their feat of achieving points in arguably one of the more chaotic races they've found themselves in.
as she pulls away, she meets a forced smile and sad green eyes as she is pulled into a hug by logan. "i'm so proud of you today. i stayed and watched the race just for you."
"baby, i'm sorry for the dnf," she whispers, her smile faltering slightly as she wraps her arms around his neck. she's lifted off the ground slightly, the height difference making their public hug slightly awkward. "this is only the third race - i swear it won't stay like this all season."
"no, don't worry about me," logan grins, pulling away from her. with a tender hand on her cheek, he quickly pulls it away when a flash goes off at the corner of his eye. instead, he settles for a hand on her shoulder and shakes her slightly. "today is all about you, ms. record breaker."
"for what it's worth, the fia is under fire for the chaos of today's race," she frowns, rubbing his sleeves up and down to offer a sense of familiarity.
their dream of getting into f1 together has finally come true. it's just a shame that they've got to keep their romantic gestures on the down low, or kept under wraps in fear of the backlash she might get.
"stop trying to justify my race," logan smiles, squeezing a cheek. he takes a step back and huffs, tilting his head as he looks at her. "look at you - i could have sworn you were just that lonely girl oscar decided to befriend at karting. now you're in f1 making history."
her smile carves into something softer, and looks up at him with a glimmer in his eyes that he couldn't ever get tired of. "i wouldn't be here without either of you."
logan squeezes her arm. "sneak into my hotel room later? let's watch a movie."
"oh, max invited me for drinks at some bar tonight. celebrate my first points or something like that," she frowns. "come with us, please? oscar will be there."
"i'll be okay," he smiles. "then sneak in after the drinks. you're funny when you're drunk, anyway."
"i'll sneak some cocktails in your room so we can watch a disney movie together and cuddle," she giggles. at the call of her name by sebastian, mentioning something about an interview she has to go do now. "i'll see you later?"
"i'll see you later." logan bends down, closing an eye when he feels her lips pressed against his cheek. "love you."
she turns around, already being pulled away by an impatient sebastian. she twists her body back to look at him. she mouths, "love you."
-> hungary, 2023
she presses her lips together, rocking back and forth on her feet as she awaits the door to open. when it does, it reveals a clearly dishevelled logan with a towel hung around his shoulders.
he's already in his sweatpants, while she stood out in the hallway in a romper, ready to head out for the evening. she scans her boyfriend head to toe and slumps her shoulders. "baby, you're not going out with us tonight?"
he pokes his head past the door, looking left and right before he lets her walk into his hotel room. she sighs softly, following him further into the room.
he drops himself onto the bed and shakes his head. "i don't deserve to be out and about celebrating after the race today. you go ahead and enjoy yourself, babe."
"my love," she hums, climbing onto the bed with a hand finding his neck to massage the muscle. "just because the race didn't go your way today doesn't mean you should lock yourself up here and be by yourself."
he leans into her touch, turning to lie on his side. he slings an arm around her waist while she comfortably sits on his bed. "i just don't think i should be outside. i'm an embarrassment." he nuzzles his face into the side of her thigh. "good call to keep the relationship behind closed doors - you'll be ridiculed for being with me."
"what?" she says softly, never really getting used to logan's harsh words against himself. she hangs her head low, trying to meet his eyes. "please, don't say that. i'm very proud of you. dnf or not."
"you and oscar have gotten your first points this year. i still have not," he sighs, turning to lie on his back again. "trust me, you don't want people to know you're dating me."
"i do want people to know i'm dating you," she coos, running her fingertip down the side of his face. she moves down and props herself up on her elbow to look over him. "it's just complicated right now - you know that."
"but you get what i'm saying, right?"
"i do," she lays on her stomach, pressing a kiss on his bare shoulder. "okay, let me tell max i'm not feeling great to head out tonight for drinks. do you want to go and eat somewhere just the two of us?"
"what? (y/n), please. you don't have to do any of this. i'm fine being by myself tonight."
"i want to be with you tonight," she grins. "let's go shopping? it's our first time in hungary."
-> zandvoort, 2023
"mate, have you seen logan?" she asks, approaching oscar with a frown. with a pepsi can in hand, she sips on the straw as her bright eyes scan the paddocks for her missing boyfriend. "usually, he'd be right by my garage after a race, but i've yet to find him."
"i can't say i've seen him since before the race," oscar frowns, realising that it's been a while since he's seen logan. he also scans the crowd, hoping that it's just her height that's hindering her chances of finding logan. to no avail, he doesn't find logan either. "is everything okay?"
she shrugs. "i don't know. he retired from the race again, did you hear?"
"i heard. do you know why?"
"no," she shrugs. "seb's got no idea either. can you let me know if you find him, please? i've got an interview i need to go and do."
-> singapore, 2023
"seriously?" she cries, tears rushing into her eyes. she takes the bouquet of loud colours and holds it against her chest. "this is the sweetest thing ever!"
"you like them?" logan grins down at the flowers that clash against the dark motif of her race suit tailor-made for tonight. "i saw them in the mall the other day when oscar and i were out. i was banking on the fact that you'd make it into the points today.
"even luckier that you made podium."
"this is the cutest thing ever," she smiles, sniffling as she drops her head to smell the flowers. "thank you so much, logan."
"you deserve it."
"but i'm sorry for where you finished today," she frowns, dropping an arm and moving to his side. she puts an arm around his waist and squeezes him slightly. "was the car not good today?"
"i think it's the street circuits not being very kind to me," logan sighs, shaking his head. "but, please, enjoy your podium celebrations. i'll join you for drinks tonight?"
"oh, really? you're joining tonight?"
"of course! my girlfriend just made history again," logan says softly into her ear. he squeezes her shoulder. "i have to be there to celebrate with her, right?"
-> qatar, 2023
"fuck!"
"logan, please. just sit down - you're really dehydrated."
"no, god. i'm such a fuck up!"
"hey, don't say that!"
"i retired again because i couldn't take the fucking heat!" he tugs at the roots of his hair, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes.
meanwhile, his girlfriend sits in the corner on a plastic chair with her lips pressed together as he paces around the room against the medical advice of every personnel who's attended to him.
still in her fireproofs, the younger girl nurses her helmet in her lap as she tries to calm logan down. "it's okay, baby. you weren't feeling well. you couldn't have done anything else."
"i could have just sucked it up and raced like everybody else!" logan frowns. "even you finished the race despite your period! what's that say about me?"
she scoffs, eyebrows furrowed as his statement manages to hit her the wrong way. "what are you trying to say? that between you and me, you deserved to finish more because i was hindered by the fact that i've got my period?"
regret strikes logan immediately, and she can see it in the way his look softens and his shoulders slump. "no, that's not what i meant. i mean, like-"
"it sounds like the way it sounds," she says softly, hurt lacing her every word. she shakes her head as she gets up to her feet, helmet hanging off her fingers by the strap. "i'll call you tomorrow, logan."
"(y/n), please wait. i'm sorry."
"i just need to be alone," she frowns, turning her back on him as she heads for the door. "feel better and stay put until the nurse comes back with an iv for you. but i've got to go - i just can't believe you'd say that to me."
-> mexico, 2023
"god, i'm no better at 22 than i was at 18." logan holds his face in his hands, elbows propped up on his knees as he finds comfort in the beanbag in her driver's room after their media commitments. "i don't understand."
it's another race where he's forcibly retired and she's managed to climb her way into the points. despite starting in the back of the grid that afternoon, she managed to challenge lando climbing up the positions on the track.
while she lost out to the more experienced driver, starting 16th and eventually climbing to 8th is no easy task. with sebastian in her ear, it was a slightly easier task that had a lot of people confused and shocked at where she suddenly finished the race.
realistically, it helped that the car was just feeling much better with the upgrades that the team brought in for her this weekend.
but logan unexpectedly had to retire towards the end of the race. which, was disheartening after the point that he got just last week in austin.
"am i just not made to be in f1? i don't get it," he says softly. "something's not right."
all she can do is sigh. nothing about their predicament now is easy: she can't fully relate to the low he's feeling because- well, she's doing fine in her rookie season compared to him.
she knows that and so does he. they try not to talk about it, but it's something that looms over their head whenever they're on social media or are attending interviews together. it doesn't make it any easier that fans are easily gawking at her presence when they chance upon them together in public.
while logan loves being her boyfriend, the past couple of years being the best times he's ever experienced, it's easier said than done to be proud of your girlfriend's achievements when you're always in the trenches week after week.
"i don't even know if i'll still have a seat next year," he sighs, throwing his head back to rest on the wall behind him. "god. i don't know what to do."
"i don't even know what to say," she whispers, crawling over to where he is. she places a hand on his knee and rests her chin on her hand. "i'm sorry you're feeling like this, lo."
"i know you don't get it."
"i know i don't. but i'm your girlfriend."
"you being by my side means more than you think it does." he breathes out with a sigh passing his lips, a hand resting on her shoulder as they sit in silence. "you can boast about your achievements to me, you know?"
"i know." she turns her head to look up at him. logan forces another smile, her worried stare igniting something in him to make sure that she knows he's okay. "but i'm with you even in your darkest hours."
"i'm extremely proud of how far you've come this season."
"i'm proud of how eloquently you're trying to hold yourself around me," she frowns, tracing circles on the material of his jeans. "but you don't have to pretend around me. we celebrate my achievements when you're feeling better."
"we can do both." logan sits up, a hand cupping her cheek to lift it up to meet his gaze. "your achievements shouldn't be tucked away in some box just because i had a bad weekend. i'm happy enough seeing you make history."
"logan..."
"let's head out to dinner with oscar tonight. it's a celebration - you guys have done so well."
"we can just stay in if you want."
"no more of that!" he cheers, his lips meeting the tip of her nose. "we're celebrating tonight. let's dress up, let's go out and take pictures, and then we can post about them on instagram while people speculate about how too close we seem to be. i don't care.
"you've done so much for the sport, you should be celebrated, babe. if you don't want to, i will celebrate you."
she sighs, rolling her eyes. "you're an idiot."
"but an idiot you love, yes?"
"an idiot i love, correct."

Of all the months in the year, June was definitely your favourite. What wasn’t there to love? Finally digging up your shorts and bathing suits from the drawer they’d been abandoned in upon the arrival of September. Eating cool treats under the hot sun. Not to mention, the perfect weather. Not too hot that you can’t walk a meter without breaking a sweat but still warm enough to wear shorts.
Best of all, June was when you would drive 3 hours south to Somerset and stay with your parents for the summer. Your parents’ Somerset home was one of two that they owned but it was definitely their favourite. Why wouldn’t it be?
Somerset is a suburb that’s been abundantly blessed with beautiful forestry that shaded over a number of neighbourhoods including your own but not in a way that blocked out the sun. Because once those first hot rays of golden sunshine beamed down on the community, it was practically tradition for everyone to head down to the lake for a swim.
At the end of the summer is the Summer Palooza. There’s great music, even better food, swimming and all kinds of activities for people of all ages to enjoy. Once the chaos of the day passed, the night would be filled with lights, blankets and watching the fireworks light up the sky.
You were already smiling just from pulling up onto your parents’ driveway. You loved it here. If only Taffy felt the same way.
Taffy is the 8-month-old cairn terrier that you bought not long ago as you had gotten a little lonely during the holidays. The minute she became part of your life, you would never live to see a dull day again, nor a stress-free one at that.
When she wasn’t parading around the house with one of your boots in her mouth, she was digging up dirt anytime she had the chance.
This meant lots of running when you took her on walks, hoping the owners didn’t see your dog assault their lawn. You had given up on writing apology letters after the first seven incidents. Your hand was beginning to cramp.
Even though the two of you got along well most of the time, it was moments like these when your heads bashed. Some people couldn’t imagine not getting along with their own dogs. Meanwhile, you didn’t have that much difficulty when it came down to it.
“Don’t growl at me.” You bickered with the terrier who was locked behind the bars of her cage, but still, the sound of her objection scared you a little. “We’re going to stay here for the next three months, trust me, you’re going to love it.” You wondered if anyone could hear you talking to her as if she were an actual human. Was that weird?
Whatever, you didn’t care. She was just as petty, emotional and stubborn as a real human. She made that very clear when the first thing she did after being let out was run to the other side of the living room, far away from you.
“She’s just the cutest thing,” Your mom gushes as her eyes followed Taffy’s fluffy body as she was on the move around the house. “To you,” You mumbled under your breath as you eyed her wheat-coloured fur bounce in the wind as she hopped up the stairs.
You let yourself get comfortable in the soft cushions of your parents’ couch. You talked about your drive over, and how things were with Taffy which naturally led to you bringing up how many times you considered giving her away. Your father found it quite amusing but you weren’t laughing.
“It’s not funny dad. She doesn’t listen to me, and she’s ungrateful--” you stopped talking as you caught onto a shared look between your parents.
“What was that?” you point between them and they try to shrug it off.
“No no, what was that look you gave each other.” You insisted you picked on an exchange between them and would not rest until they came clean.
“Nothing! Just sounds like you found a dog who’s just like you.” you objected, swearing up and down that you were nothing alike. Suddenly you stopped your rant, realizing you were defending yourself against the comparison between you and your own dog.
You had a long drive up, maybe the fatigue was finally catching up to you. It must be since you were yawning for the 4th time in the last 15 minutes. You decided it was time for a ‘nap’.
It was that same nap that consumed you for the next 13 hours, and you’re sure you could’ve slept longer if it weren’t for your mother waking you up. “Y/n, wake up.”
There were only two things you hated in this world. Ketchup and being woken up. Naturally, you turned your body away from your mother’s voice, pulling the sheets over your head while you were at it. Then, she did the unthinkable. The covers were ripped from your body entirely and all at once.
Your eyes shot open and your body shivered as the air conditioning was beginning to make contact with your bare skin. You sat up slowly, eyeing your mother down with death in your eyes.
“It’s Taffy.” You were filled with dread.
---
In nothing but your shorts and tank top, you slipped on your dad's slides before you followed your mom outside. You first noticed the stunning hues of orange that striped over the sky as the sun was beginning to rise.
Part of you thought you’d have to walk a little further out to see this grand revelation that was so important that your mother felt the need to wake you up from your nap, but you could see more than enough from the porch.
Holes everywhere.
But not on your parent’s side of the grass. Oh no, of course not. It’s like she purposely dug up the neighbour's lawn because that’s what would get you in deep shit.
But wait, it gets better. There was a beautiful arrangement of various plants along the neighbour's driveway until now that is. The soil was now littered with chewed leaves and torn petals.
You don’t smoke but you felt that today was the best day to get into the habit.
“Taffy did all this? By herself?” Your finger pointed loosely towards the terrorized grass. Your mom hums in agreement from behind you. Your face was full of shock, disbelief, awe, basically, any word that could describe your bewilderment at the situation.
“She must’ve gotten out last night. I was going to take her for a walk this morning but clearly, she beat me to it.” Your mom explains as the two of you walk back into the house.
“So what are you going to tell them?” your arms unconsciously folded over your chest as you questioned your mother about her next steps. “Me? Oh, honey, Taffy is your dog. Your responsibility.”
“What am I supposed to say? ‘Hey, sorry that my dog absolutely annihilated your property, here’s $1000, please don’t sue me?’’’ Comedy was not your intention, yet your mother laughed anyways.
“Mom!” You whined, practically stomping your feet out of stress. “This is serious! What am I supposed to do? I don’t have that kind of money laying around..” Your thoughts trail off, a mischievous smile briefly appearing on your face before vanishing.
“Y’know, you look so pretty today.” You continue to compliment your mother’s attire, “And your face is looking more and more youthful by the day--” Your mother swatted your fingers away from her face.
“We’re not paying for the damages, Y/n, but nice try.” She smiles, now it was her pinching your cheeks. With one last comforting touch to your upper arm, your mom was going back upstairs. Slowly, your vision panned over to the dog who was sleeping soundly in her little bed.
‘Should’ve given you away when I had the chance’, you think.
----
It was a little past noon and you knew your neighbours were having a heart attack right about now and who were you to interrupt someone during a medical emergency, you should probably just push it off till later, or never, never works for you.
You could see it happening vividly. The old lady takes a mere two steps outside and suddenly grabs her chest before collapsing. God. You couldn’t believe it.
“Y/n, did you tell them yet.?” Now your dad was the one asking as he came down to the kitchen, making himself lunch. “Not yet, I’m going to shower first.” Secretly you hoped you too, would drop dead in the shower to avoid what was to come.
--
Stopping yourself at your front door, you opened your bank account for sentimental purposes. You were going to miss having money in here. With one deep breath, you made the short journey over to the neighbours.
You had only spoken to them a handful of times over the last decade since your parents had bought the house here. With a quick ring of the doorbell you contemplated running back inside, you could still make it.
You heard footsteps approaching the door, there was no going back now.
Ready to see the old lady with no more than 12 years left in her lifespan to welcome you but that’s not what your eyes were met with at all. Currently face-to-chest with undoubtedly the finest man you’ve ever laid eyes on.
The man was wearing a black long-sleeve button-up that strained over his broad shoulders with the top two buttons undone, teasing the visibly large pecs that lay beneath his shirt. He wore black slacks that were held up by a belt that hinted at his small waist.
“How can I help you?” He smiles warmly.
“You’re not old.” Is the first thing you say.
“I’m Jungkook, nice to meet you too?” He introduces himself, maintaining his quirked brow at your odd statement.
“No- I’m sorry. Obviously, you’re not old, I was just expecting you to be old-- I’m Y/n, I live next door..” You needed to compose yourself, you came here for a reason. You took a deep breath as you looked him dead in the eyes for the first time.
“I recently got a new dog who can’t seem to keep her paws out of the ground so she’s the one to blame for destroying your plants. I’m so sorry, if there’s anything I can do--” It wasn’t until Jungkook told you to breathe did you realize you had tried to say everything in one breath.
You inhaled. Then exhaled.
“Can I show you something?” His question seemed to have been mostly rhetorical as he was already making his way towards the gate between your houses that led to his backyard.
Once it was opened he stepped to the side, allowing you to walk through and you could just about feel your heart fall out of your ass at the sight.
More holes.
More dead flowers.
More money.
You were afraid to look at the man behind you, but you did anyways. His arms were crossed, and you felt sick. “How much is this going to cost me?” You didn’t even want to know.
“Well, with the damage done to the 30-year-old bonsai alone, that’s around eight thousand--”
Your vision went black. Suddenly you couldn’t hear or see. Unconsciously your left eye twitched and you felt like you were foaming at the mouth. He just kept talking and talking, the costs just kept going and going. You never even heard the final amount, the only thing you could hear were the voices in your head telling you to kill that little cairn terrier once you got home.
“Unless..”
Unless?! There was an unless? This was your way out. There was no way you would pass it up. Whatever it was, it couldn’t possibly be worse than selling your limbs just to afford the price of one bonsai.
“Yes! I’ll do it.”
“Great, so I’ll see you tomorrow then?” You don’t even know what he said. You completely blanked out. You tilted your head to the side. “Yes, of course, I’ll be there. For what, again?” Now he looked a little confused.
“To re-plant?” He mirrors your tilted head.
God.
At this moment you hoped Taffy would do what she was good at and dig a hole deep enough for you to crawl in and die.
--
“Taffy!” You shout the minute you walk through the door. Enter the energetic dog who came bouncing down the steps at the sound of your voice. She circled your feet and you fought the urge to kick her, but even you knew you would regret that.
She seemed to have been in a really good mood today and you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling, her energy was contagious.
“No! I’m mad at you.” You remind yourself as you kick off your slides and make your way into the house with her following behind you, this time with a toy in her mouth, wanting you to play.
“Not now.” Ignoring her, you take a seat at the kitchen table where your dad was working on some documents with focus. You sat in front of him quietly with a pout, hoping he’d notice you.
You sigh.
No response.
You sigh a little louder.
He flips over the next paper, still ignoring you.
You sigh even louder.
Slamming his pen down on the table, he gives you his undivided attention.
“What is it.”
“Nothing, except for the fact Taffy just cost me like fifteen thousand dollars in property damages.” Your father was silent. He too was in shock like you were earlier.
“He’s charging you that much!?” You shake your head, “No, he’s making me help him re-plant everything that Taffy ruined instead. That’s so unfair.” You complained. Your father couldn’t believe you were complaining about such a reasonable repercussion.
Maybe you needed this.
He goes back to filling out his papers and ignoring you.
“Dad!” You tried getting his attention again but you knew you had lost it for good this time. Instead, you decided to give in and play with Taffy. “Fine.” You take the rubber ball from her jaws, “I’ll play with you, but I won’t forgive you.” You toss it elsewhere watching her run after it.
---
The next morning you found yourself disappointed to see that you hadn’t died in your sleep. That means you actually had to go gardening for the next 6 hours. You were left perplexed once you got out of the shower. Staring at your closet, unsure what one would wear to garden.
You settled on capris and a t-shirt that you didn’t care to get dirty. With one last look in the mirror, you said goodbye to your happiness and made your way next door.
“Good morning,” He greets you the minute you make your way down the steps of your porch. You weren’t surprised to see he had already gotten started on the front lawn, a bag of grass seed on his right and a trowel in his gloved hands.
“Here, I got you gloves.” He hands you a pair of burgundy gardening gloves to match his green ones. “Thanks.” You stood awkwardly as you watched him return to his previous position on the ground.
“Have you gardened before?” He asks, looking up at you from where he knelt on the grass. You nodded, “Not a lot, only a few times with my mom growing up.” He smiles.
“Well, maybe now you can practice a little more. I think gardening is one of those things that don’t really seem to be all that exciting at first but you find yourself doing it and enjoying it more over time, y’know?” Humming along with a plastered smile on your face.
You? Enjoying gardening? Good one.
“Would you mind just taking this trowel and using it to raise all of the lifted-up patches of grass, then I'll add some seeds once you’re done, we can water and we’ll be done for the first part.”
When he says it like that, it sounded like you’d be finished in no time. Never in a million years could you have anticipated that it would keep you preoccupied for the next three hours. At least Jungkook wasn’t the worst person to talk to.
You didn’t talk much in the beginning, not sure if it was because you both were total strangers or because he was devastatingly attractive. Maybe a mix of both.
Just when another period of silence fell over the two of you, your parents were seen leaving your house, waving to the both of you before getting in the car and leaving to god knows where.
“I’ve seen your parents a few times, but I don’t remember seeing you.” Jungkook prayed he didn’t come off as creepy, he was simply curious to know where you’d been these last 4 months since he’d moved in. He’s sure he would’ve remembered you.
“Ah, yeah. I live about 3 hours north of here in Pineley, for school.” Jungkook knew he would be lying to himself if he said he wasn’t surprised to hear you were still in school.
“Oh really? What are you studying?”
“Just economics, I kind of hate it though, only one more year to go, then I’ll finally be done.” Jungkook was doing his best to crunch the numbers in his head.
Assuming that you graduated high school when you were 18... so 3 years later... You’re 21?
God, you’re 21.
He’s 27 and you’re 21.
Does he find you attractive? Yes, obviously. Who wouldn’t? Has he thought about you since the moment you met yesterday? Of course, but that stops now.
“But enough about me, what about you? The last time I was here, there was an old lady living here.” He chuckles, “So that explains the ‘old’ comment yesterday.” Your face flushes red as you continued to pat down the grass seeds in their rightful places.
“New job, you know how that goes.” You nod with a smile, patting down the last patch of grass, and you realized you were done. “I think that’s it.” He announces, dropping his trowel down the grass, and giving the lawn a lookover.
“It certainly isn’t as pretty as it used to be but once the new grass comes in it’ll look better.” He stands, offering you his hand to help you stand as well. You do your best to swat at the butterflies in your stomach from his gesture.
“Do you want something to drink? I have some inside.”
Now that you think about it, you were quite thirsty.
“That would be great actually, thanks.” you appreciate his kind gesture, standing awkwardly on the lawn not sure what to do until you see his head pop out of the doorway. “Y/n, you coming?”
His house looked nothing like yours. Everything was so, clean. Not to say that your house was dirty by any means but there was something about his selection of colours and arrangement of furniture that made everything so sleek and neat.
He definitely owned more plants than the average person, you also couldn’t help but notice how cool it was in here, but not to the point that it made you shiver, more so a refreshing feeling.
After the both of you washed your hands, he led you to the kitchen and invited you to have a seat on the stool behind his marble island. “You don’t have any allergies, do you?” Your eyebrows raised at his question.
“Allergies? I thought I was just coming here for some water?” You felt more than accomplished to see him laugh even though it was a genuine question.
“You’re helping me with a pretty big task, I think you deserve better than just water.” Anything he said after that fell on deaf ears, your brain was too caught up with his flattery. Maybe gardening wouldn’t be so bad after all.
You were intrigued to watch him pull out a wooden knife instead of a typical steel one. “Is all of your cutlery made of wood?” You were being sarcastic, poking fun at him. What you weren’t expecting was to see him pull open a drawer that revealed various assortments of cutlery all made from wood.
“It is actually.” Now he was the one laughing.
“Why?” Strumming your nails on the counter as you watched him roll up his sleeves for the first time today. Suddenly your palms were open and planted on the surface, bracing yourself. The sleeve of tattoos on his right arm knocked you breathless. Deep breaths in. Deep breaths out.
“Well, because--Are you alright?” He checks in, you looked like you were overheating, and you had to convince him and yourself that you were just fine.
Even if he wasn’t convinced, he decides to let it go and continues preparing your drinks. Turning his back to you as he opened his fridge. You should’ve suspected he had more tattoos aside from the lotus you spotted behind his ear earlier.
“As you were saying,” Prompting him to finish what he was saying earlier, “Yeah, for starters, wood handles heat better, they’re antibacterial but most importantly it’s eco-friendly. We’ve done so much damage to the earth already, so why not do things a little differently, y’know?”
That would explain all the plants. “So, I guess you take this global warming thing pretty seriously, huh?” His head tilts back while he lets out a fit of laughter. “I wouldn’t say that I take it lightly if that's what you’re asking.” He smiles as he skillfully peels the oranges with the knife.
You noticed that he put the discarded peels into a little electric composter he had on the corner of his counter. He was really serious about this earth thing. “I do what I can to reduce my carbon footprint. I had solar panels installed on the roof within the first few weeks of moving here, and I’m sure you noticed all the plants in here. They're quite useful since I don’t actually have air conditioning.”
Your eyes bulge out of your head, “No air conditioning? In Somerset? There’s a heatwave every other week in the peak of summer.” He shrugs, “Didn’t you notice how cool it was when you first walked in?” You nod slowly, curious to see where he was going with this.
“It’s thanks to the sansevierias, ficus elasticas and the aglaonemas I have around the house. When they go through their transpiration process they cool down the air at the same time.”
What.
Your severe confusion must’ve been visible enough to prompt Jungkook to dumb it down for you. “Think of it as when plants feel hot, they sweat and release water into the air which cools it down.”
“What are you some kind of plant freak?” He laughs, reaching for the manual juicer he had on his drying rack. “Environmental engineer actually, but plant freak works too.” You felt almost embarrassed for speaking. You decided to just focus on the freshly squeezed orange juice that was filling up your glasses.
“Enjoy.” He grins as he slid you your glass. Your taste buds were far from ready to handle the sweet yet tangy taste of the oranges. It was easily the best orange juice you’ve ever had in your life. “Oh my god.” He smiles, “Good right?”
“This is the best thing I’ve ever tasted.” You could not believe you were ranting about juice but there you were. “Would you believe me if I told you those oranges came from my backyard?”
“I would, honestly.”
---
It would be a lie if you said you weren’t a little disappointed to see how quickly the two of you had managed to finish replanting everything in the front yard. It’s been a few weeks and the two of you got along surprisingly well even though he was such a plant nerd.
You had a schedule, twice a week at 10 am you’d be at Jungkook’s door more excited than ever to garden. Something you never thought you’d say.
This morning you were taking Taffy for a walk because why not. It was a beautiful morning, damp grass from the rain the night before and the smell of petrichor still lingering in the air. “Good morning,” Nearly breaking your neck at the sound of Jungkook’s voice greeting you as you watched him approach his car but he stopped in his tracks when he noticed the leash in your hand and what it was attached to.
“Is this Taffy?” He points to the cairn terrier who was suddenly sitting pretty and wagging her tail. “The one and only.” He was already making his way over, making sure not to step on the grass that was growing in nicely.
“Can I pet her?” You were flattered that he had even asked in the first place. So used to children and even other adults just petting her without asking. “Of course.” You permit, watching his face light up as he ran his hand over her brown fur.
“How could something so cute cause so much damage.” It was a rhetorical question but you couldn’t stop yourself from throwing her under the bus, “Cute? This is all an act. The minute you get in your car I’m sure she’ll be 3 feet deep in someone else’s lawn.” The two of you laugh for a moment, falling into natural conversation until Jungkook realized that at this rate he was going to be late for work.
“I’ll see you later, Y/n.” His smile was so charming, so enchanting, so-- Taffy was already barking at you to start walking since Jungkook had already driven off.
--
“God it’s so hot.” The two of you laid sprawled out on the grass of Jungkook’s inconveniently large backyard. Jungkook had long given up on wearing long sleeves, now opting for simple t-shirts and cargo shorts.
“Maybe we should take a break?” Usually, you would take a break after 3 hours but it had only been an hour and a half so you were surprised to hear him propose such a thing but relieved at the same time.
Following the same routine as always once you go inside, washing your hands then reconvening in the kitchen for something to drink. After about three glasses of water, you were able to stabilize yourself in your seat.
“What’s next?” your curiosity prompts you to ask what the two of you would be doing once you returned outside. “I was hoping to start with the gardenias but I think they’re far beyond repair and we’ll have to buy more.” He leans forward on his folded arms, the closeness between your faces was getting to you.
You held your breath, eyes looking anywhere but his when you spoke. “We?” He backs up, standing back at full height. “Yeah, I thought maybe we could go pick up some more and hopefully by the time we’re back it’ll be a little cooler.”
“Sounds good.”
--
You had no idea joining Jungkook for a trip to the local greenhouse would turn into an entire tour. It was like every single flower and plant had a meaning.
“Do you just have the meaning of every flower imprinted in the back of your mind?” You cross your arms as Jungkook reached for the gardenias on the higher shelves. “Not every one, but I’m sure I know most.”
“This one?” Your index pointed to the calla lilies. “Beauty.”
“How about this.” Pivoting to focus on the opposite wall of flowers, quizzing him on the first flower you laid eyes on. “Health and prosperity.”
“Every flower really does have meaning behind it.” He hums in agreement, “I think that plants have a language of their own. That’s why bouquets are more than just flowers, they’re statements really.”
“I never really thought about it that way.”
“What about these?” You pointed to the red chrysanthemums that were so beautifully vibrant. “I love you.” It would be a lie to say the both of you didn’t freeze when you took in what he had said.
You were afraid to speak first. Thankfully you didn’t have to. Jungkook clears his throat. “That’s what red chrysanthemums mean.”
“Oh. Yeah, of course. Duh.” Awkward laughter erupts from your chest as you continued to walk by his side toward the checkout.
The beginning of the ride back was oddly quiet as opposed to the one on your way here which was filled with a sing-along and a lecture about the importance of compost.
Sunset was still a few hours away and the weather was still quite hot but it was a little cooler compared to earlier.
“Can we stop somewhere?” You broke the silence and Jungkook was quick to redirect the car to your request.
That’s how you found yourselves walking along Pacific Street. It’s like tourist central. it’s where all the popular shops and restaurants were found. Including Icee’s frozen dessert shop. It was easily one of your favourite spots in town.
You ordered a lime sherbet for yourself and a chocolate sundae for Jungkook.
“How did you know that’s what I wanted?” Jungkook leans down behind you and whispers in your ear. “Because you have 2 pints of chocolate fudge ice cream in your freezer,” You whisper back, watching the woman whisk herself around behind the counter preparing your orders.
“And how do you know what’s in my freezer,”
Your curiosity got the best of you. You wondered if he ate leaves for a living so when you found yourself alone in the kitchen when he went to use the bathroom you couldn’t help yourself.
“Oh! Would you look at that, our order’s ready.”
The two of you walked around town for a while. Now you were the one giving him a tour of the heart of Somerset. Sitting on the trunk of Jungkook’s car the two of you looked over the lake and the people down below you.
“Do you like it here?” With the gentle breeze softly blowing your curls in your face you looked over the lake, not looking at him as you spoke and he did the same. “I mean, the greenery is great, there’s a lot of parks and--”
You turn to face him, “Yeah and the carbon levels here are perfect blah blah blah, but do you like it here?” He grins at your teasing. “I do, yeah. The people here are just...” Neither of you realized how close your faces had gotten until your lips were millimetres apart. “..perfect.” he breathes out and you leaned in but he pulled away.
“Oh. I’m sorry I thought-” Your ears were red and you’re sure your face was too. “No, you’re right... It’s just. We can’t.” He sighs, looking away from you for a moment before looking you in the eyes once again. Your head tilted to the side confused, and he hated it when you did that.
It was so cute.
“Why not?” You ask.
“Because, you’re 21, I’m 27. I just don’t want you to do anything you’d regret.” Your heart warmed. At all times he had your best interest at heart.
“I know what I want, Jungkook.” Cautiously, you moved closer until you were as close as you were before. You weren’t really doing anything but you were driving him up the wall.
“Do you know what you want, Jungkook?” You were bad for him. So so bad. Everything in him was telling him this was a bad idea, but he threw caution to the wind the moment he pressed his lips against yours.
Taking your face in his hands as he kissed you, over and over again until you were left breathless. “Oh shit.” you breathe out and he just laughs. “Where did all that come from?” He leans back with a smug look, “Been wanting to do that for a month now.”
The cool breeze passed by again, bringing a weighted silence with it. Leaving that question in the air. It was all a matter of who was going to address the elephant in the room. Unsurprisingly, it was you. “Now what?”
“Nothing.” He says, and your heartbeat falters just a little. He must've noticed the change of expression on your face, “Nothing if you don’t want anything to change, but I’d be happy to see where this goes..” He struggled to look you in the eyes, not used to being the one under pressure.
“I’d like that.”
--
“And then he kissed me!” You felt like you were in high school again the way you were throwing yourself all over your bed and swinging your feet as you talked to your dog about your eventful night.
Taffy seemed to have been a little more excited than you were based on her endless barking. “I know right, and now we’re going to the Summer Palooza together.” Taf hopped up onto your bed with you and started to ambush you with licks and it made you laugh.
Even though she was a little monster, she was really like your best friend.
--
“You really do this for fun, every day?” You were developing a slight attitude, blame it on the heat. You enjoyed gardening when the temperature lets you, but days like these where you could see distorted waves of heat made you miserable.
Jungkook didn’t respond, he only smiled knowing you were just ranting. You felt as though you were melting. Sweat beading on your forehead from doing nothing, the hot sun beating down on your skin with no remorse.
“I’m taking a break.” It’d only been 30 minutes since you had begun gardening today but you couldn’t take it anymore. The moment you walked inside you regret making fun of Jungkook for his lack of air conditioning because those plants were doing a damned good job at cooling you down.
You’d begun to learn your way around his house after spending so much time here. You reached for a glass from the cupboard before pouring yourself a glass of water. Taking sips as if you hadn’t tasted water in days.
You let out a small gasp at the feeling of hands on your waist from behind you, “How can you make drinking water so attractive?” You cringed and pushed him away, “You’re so corny.” You snort before finishing off the rest.
“I wanna show you something,” He says it enticingly, as if what he was to show you would change your life forever. “I’m listening.” You stalk towards him slowly as he picked up his keys off the counter. “Up for a drive?” You grin.
-
“Y’know, when you asked me if I was up for a drive I didn’t know we’d be trekking through the forest.” You were complaining again and Jungkook could do nothing but roll his eyes. “We’re almost there, I promise.”
True to his words, only a few more minutes and you had arrived at your destination. The 10-minute walk was more than worth it. You were met with the sight of a gorgeous blue lake, it wasn’t the biggest but there were mini waterfalls sliding down the large rocks off to the side.
There was direct sunlight bouncing off the water and making everything seem brighter. “Woah..” You stepped towards it slowly. You were shaded by the forest for most of the way here so you didn’t feel as hot but now that you were out in the open again the heat was overwhelming.
Without thinking you stripped yourself off your top and bottoms, leaving you in just your underwear. “Care to join me?” You pivoted to face the man who was fighting off some of his most intrusive thoughts at the sight of your body.
He could only remain so calm, but the moment he laid eyes on the cherry blossom tattoo that stretched from your mid-thigh up to the underswell of your breast or the butterfly jewelry that dangled from your navel, he was done for.
 He was going absolutely feral.
“fuck.” he mumbles, watching you dive in head first. He was feeling too much blood rush south but it didn’t make him think twice before stripping himself of his own shirt and shorts. In nothing but his boxers, he jumped in with you.
He swam towards you with the biggest grin on his face. “Feel better?” You shake your head as your hands moved below the water. “I’m still..” Your voice had dropped an octave and become more seductive, “quite hot.” You punctuated your sentence with the revelation of you holding your panties in the palm of your hand.
Surely you had to know what you were doing to him.
Jungkook feared he would drown.
You’re too distracting, and you only proved his point by stripping yourself of the last article of clothing you were wearing and tossing them onto the grass as well. Jungkook was doing his best to be respectful, never wanting to cross a line without your permission.
That’s how he found himself cross-eyed trying to stop his line of sight from falling. “It’s okay, you can look.” Even then he tried to be respectful and only look for a few seconds at a time but he was hopeless once you had taken his hand and pressed it against your chest.
As if it was second nature he gave it a light squeeze. He thanks the universe for his sharp hearing or else he would’ve missed the small whimper that escaped under your breath. “you drive me fucking insane.” Jungkook’s voice was low and guttural before he pulled you closer to him. Wasting no time to bring his lips to yours.
Kissing you deeply, as if his life depended on it. You were intoxicating. He couldn’t get enough. God, he was going to fucking miss you. It was a bitter thought he kept in the back of his head the more he felt himself getting used to having you around.
Fortunately, he didn’t let that gloomy thought ruin his mood as the two of you enjoyed your time together. Neither of you were expecting to spend two hours swimming but that’s exactly what you did until you couldn’t swim anymore.
The drive home was a wet one but it made the shower feel ten times more refreshing. With a towel still wrapped around your hair and in nothing but an oversized t-shirt you walked towards your bed and checked your phone.
It’s mission impossible trying not to smile at the sight of Jungkook’s name on your screen.
Jungkook: I had fun today ;)
--
“This is the last one,” Jungkook announces and you felt a little emotional as you watched him squeeze the plant out of its plastic container. It was a blue vervain flower. “Hopefully it rains soon, these ones need a lot of water.” He informs you and that’s when you realized it hadn’t rained in weeks which was a little unusual for a Somerset summer.
“Would you like to do the honours?” He offers you the pile of dirt with the sprouting plant. “Can we do it together?” His eyes crinkle at the sides with a smile. So, together, you planted the blue vervain.
“Are you sure we’re finished? We didn’t miss a spot?” You stand up abruptly, searching through the empty bags of soil and containers that once had sprouts in them. “Y/n, are you okay?”
You were fine. Wasn’t it normal to cry once you finished gardening?
“Yes, can’t you see? I’m clearly fine.” Your tearful eyes weren’t so convincing. You didn’t have to explain what was wrong, because he knew. This wasn’t about gardening. Without thinking he wrapped his arms around you, holding you and it only pulled more emotion out of you.
“I don’t want to leave you.” You mumble through broken cries into his shirt. “I know, but you can’t stay for me either.” He was right. Even though you had just met less than three months ago you grew attached to him so it made the thought of leaving him more difficult than it should be.
-
It was nearing sunset when Jungkook was doing nothing important at home when his phone buzzed on his coffee table.
He too, couldn’t stop a small smile from forming at your message.
Y/n: do you have limes?
Jungkook: Homegrown or store-bought? :)
You didn’t need any more small talk before you were already on your way over. That’s why Jungkook wasn’t surprised to hear the ring of his doorbell. Always happy to see you.
“Limes?” Jungkook brings up your odd request as he walked behind you towards the kitchen. “Yes, limes. I wanted a snack and we ran out, so now I’m here to take some of yours.” Jungkook did his best to keep his eyes off the way your hips swayed from the left to right with every step you took.
He leaned against the counter, watching you whiz around the kitchen. Grabbing the wooden knife you once judged him for but grew fond of and a lime. “Do you have any honey?” He points to the cupboard to your left.
Now that you had everything you needed, this was your favourite part. Slicing open the first lime in half, then again into thinner slices. You drizzled on just a little bit of honey onto the citron and bit onto it.
Jungkook looked horrified.
“Should I call someone for help?” You took it personally and objected. “It’s so good you have to try it.” You approached him with a honey-coated slice of lime but he immediately moved away from you to the other side of the island.
Jungkook’s place had dozens of big windows and skylights to welcome natural lighting as a replacement for regular lights. That’s how you noticed the clouds get progressively darker over the last 15 minutes but it wasn’t your concern at the moment.
What you needed was to get Jungkook to try your creation. “How about I kiss you instead?” He freezes with interest. “I’m listening.” With the simple beckoning of your index finger, he was standing in front of you.
“Open.” You instruct, holding the bottle of honey high enough so it would fall onto his tongue. Next, you squeeze a generous amount of lime juice on yours before grabbing Jungkook by his cheeks. Crashing your lips together, creating a deliciously sweet but sour taste between the two of you.
Your tongue swiped over his plump lower lip trying to savour the flavour and the kiss to the best of your ability but Jungkook was losing his self-control. His hands found themselves holding you at your hips, pulling your front to be flush against his, but he suddenly pulled away.
Your eyes were half-lidded, dark and full of lust; your lips beginning to swell a little from the previous attack they just endured. you looked like sex on legs and that’s why jungkook had to stop himself.
“What’s wrong?” he couldn’t believe you had the audacity to ask him such a thing. as if you didn’t know. “You. You’re plaguing my mind, y/n, and I’m afraid that once I start I can’t stop.” your teeth played with the plump flesh of your lip at his confession.
“then don’t stop.”
A clash of thunder roared in the sky.
Your clothes were scattered along the stairs leading up to Jungkook’s room which was massive if you might add. You couldn’t believe you hadn’t been up here yet.
Gently, he laid you down on his bed, leaving you to admire his body that was sculpted by the gods themselves. Broad shoulders, defined abs and those muscular thighs you so desperately wanted to ride, but maybe another day.
“You have no fucking idea how badly I’ve wanted this.” The feeling of his hot breath against the side of your neck gave you burning chills. With his arms on either side of you, he rolled his hips into yours and through his boxers alone you could feel his dick that was begging to be freed from its confines.
“I- I need you.” your breath hitched at the feeling of his lips sucking on a particular spot on your neck making you let out a breathless moan.
“You’ve got me. I’m all yours.” He reassures you before he locked your lips with his while skillfully removing your bra. you helped with the action by arching your back giving him full access to undo the clasps.
within seconds he was attacking your full breasts. licking over your nipples with desperation. your hand raised to gently run your fingers through his locks while your legs widened to make more room for the man between them.
soon his kisses began to move south but stopped at the ink that patterned your skin. the tattoo was in black and white since you felt the blossoms were pretty enough that they didn’t need colour. once jungkook was done with you he had managed to colour in every single blossom with sinful bruises.
jungkook’s room was probably the most susceptible to natural light as it had the biggest windows, giving the both of you a front-row view of the storm that pummeled the world outside, but that didn’t matter. nothing else mattered except this very moment.
now paying attention to the jewelry that was pierced into the skin above your belly button. jungkook let his fingers toy with it tauntingly, “a flower, hm?” your eyes were shut, too focused on keeping it together to respond.
“Pretty sure the last time I saw this little thing it was a butterfly, wasn’t it?” your body froze once you felt the pads of jungkook’s fingers touching your clothed core. you didn’t respond.
“I asked you a question didn’t I?” he applied a sadistic amount of pressure to your clit, knowing it was just enough to get your attention but not enough to give you what you were looking for.
“yes.” you breathed out, finally opening your eyes to see he was staring right back at you. “why did you change it? I thought you loved butterflies.” he was mocking you. using your words against you from a discussion you had a few days ago. he knows why you changed it.
“you know why,” as if he was ignoring you he continued to rid you of your underwear leaving you completely bare. “no, I don’t think I do. refresh my memory.” the moment you felt his big and calloused hands gripping your thighs you felt you may never speak again.
Every touch, every whisper, every look he gave you left you on fire and wanting more. “you. I did it for you.” jungkook’s wicked grin was the last thing you saw before your eyes shut as he pulled you to the edge of the bed, with your ankles hanging over his shoulders and his nose against your dripping core.
a flash of lightning lit up the room briefly before it relied on the dim lighting of two naturally scented candles he had lit a little before you came over. “look at you, dripping wet and I’ve barely touched you.”
“please,” you whimpered and he was so weak. he couldn’t deny you for long, you had no idea how much of a hold you had on him. wasting no time, he licked a flat stripe up your cunt and it took everything in you not to scream, including closing your legs on his head.
there was no other place jungkook would rather be than between the soft flesh of your thighs but if he wanted to eat you out until you cried he’d need a little more space.
he pried your legs open once more and you were already shaking. placing a comforting hand on your abdomen he tried to calm you down, “you gotta relax baby, I've got you.”
you were helpless, unable to do anything but grab fistfuls of his organic cotton bedsheets as his tongue assaulted your poor pussy. “f-feels so good.” you whined, beginning to roll your hips against his face.
quickly you felt the heat begin to build in your core with the skillful use of his tongue. “jungkook-!” your vision became distorted as your body was overwhelmed with pleasure, but jungkook didn’t stop. he lapped up every last drop of your orgasm on his tongue before bringing a kiss to your lips.
jungkook was fucking filthy and you loved it.
“I need you,” already one step ahead of you, jungkook was stripping himself of his boxers. in one swift motion jungkook was flipping you onto your stomach and lining himself up with the entrance to your sopping cunt.
you had barely gotten a chance to see and admire his dick but for a brief moment, you did it and had your breath hitching in your throat. you knew you would struggle to stand tomorrow. “you ready, baby?” he checks in with you and you decided to answer with actions.
arching your back and pushing your ass towards him gave him all the answers he needed. “god, y/n. you’re going to be the death of me.” he groans, inching in slowly giving you time to adjust to his large size. A size you knew would take a while to get used to.
he continued to slide in until he eventually bottomed out and your two bodies were connected. you were squirming nonstop beneath him as if trying to escape, body so overwhelmingly full. “just relax,” he whispers near your ear and plants a reassuring kiss on the side of your neck.
doing as told you to relax your muscles and jungkook could immediately feel the difference. “that’s it, you’re taking me so well.” you smile into the pillows at his praises until your mouth fell open with erotic moans once he began to pound into you.
“fuck.” gruff and low moans fell from jungkook’s lips frequently. you never took him to be the kind to make much noise during sex but you were more than pleasantly proven wrong. his sounds only added to the speed at which you were approaching your climax.
“oh shitt, jungkook, I’m gonna-” this time you really did scream at the added pleasure from the friction you felt as jungkook mercilessly rubbed your clit. “me too, baby. me too. just hold it a little longer.” you couldn’t. it was impossible but you tried to hold it for as long as you could.
“cum.” you didn’t have to be told twice. your arms went limp, no longer able to hold you up as you were pushed over the edge and came with jungkook following closely behind. his hips losing their consistency and becoming erratic before you felt him painting your insides with his cum.
“oh shit..” the room was filled with nothing but the sounds of your heavy breathing and even heavier rain as it bounced off the glass of his windows. “at least it rained.” your voice sounded weak from all the screaming you’d done.
your body was weak but your brain couldn’t seem to understand that as you watched jungkook whiz around the room with heart eyes. he looked like the epitome of sex and sin. the waves of his hair falling over his face loosely as some were stuck to the sweat on his forehead.
the size of his muscles distracting but not distracting enough to consume your attention away from the tattoos that covered the entirety of his right arm. before you could drool over him any longer he was already making his way toward you with a warm cloth to help clean you up.
Once the necessary post-sex priorities had been taken care of, the two of you were left cuddling in Jungkook's bed. He had one hand behind his head and the other on your waist as you laid your head on his chest.
Jungkook didn’t want to ruin anything with you but he was a strong believer in communication. This is why he brought up the sombre thought that plagued his mind for the majority of the summer. “When do you leave?” your head sunk along with his chest as he exhaled heavily.
You pick your head up to make eye contact, “Is this your way of kicking me out?” His eyes bulged. “No, never. I mean when do you have to go back to Pineley?” Now it was your turn to sigh. Putting your head back to where it was before, beginning to draw small circles on his pecs.
“Thursday.”
“Oh.”
That was three days away.
“yeah.”
This conversation suddenly made your lips feel chapped, “do you have any chapstick?”
“middle drawer,” he replies, prompting you to roll away from him and check the instructed drawer. Looking for a small tube, instead, you found a journal of sorts. “What’s this?”
Jungkook sits up with a defeated look on his face. “It’s a present. For you, actually.” Your ears perk at that. “For me?” He nods, “Open it. I was going to give it to you the day you leave but I suppose now works.” The book is still unopened, you tilt your head to the side, confused.
God, you were so fucking cute.
“Why not just give it to me at the Palooza?” He sucks in a breath of air through his teeth, “About that. I got sucked into some board meeting that day with some important people like state officials and whatever, but I tried to get out of it, believe me.”
Holding one of his hands in yours, you reassured him that everything was fine. “That sounds like a pretty big deal. It’d be silly for you to blow it off for some dumb event.”
“It’s not some dumb event and you know it. You talked about the Palooza as if it were heaven on earth, and I was looking forward to going with you.” Your heart swelled. “Yeah, I mean, there’s always next year,” you say and it causes Jungkook to grin.
“Next year? You sure you won’t forget about me by then?” Playfully you sent a hit to his chest, “Don’t say that. I’m gonna open my present and forget you even said that.” Admittedly he was a little nervous. He wasn’t the best at gift-giving, never knew what exactly to get people.
Your eyes scanned over the pages as you flipped through them. It was like a flower dictionary. It had all kinds of meanings for all kinds of flowers, but there was something personal about the way the journal was put together.
The paper had a little more texture than you were used to seeing, it must’ve been recycled; but the way the string held together the pages at the top through unevenly sized holes made you wonder.
“Jungkook, did you make this yourself?” His face was red. “Yeah, I know it’s a little lame but I--” Leaving the book on your lap before you pulled him close by his face and pressed your lips to his, pulling away with a smile. “I love it.”
--
“Remember to give us a call when you get back, alright?” You hugged your parents tight as they helped load your car will all the stuff you brought
“I will.” You smile waving goodbye to them as you stood near your car and your parents made their way inside. It would be a lie if you said you weren’t secretly hoping to see Jungkook one last time before you left.
That’s why you were so delighted to see him step out his front door, but not empty-handed. A bouquet of flowers accessorized his right hand as he made his way toward you.
“You’re here,” Smiling with nothing but teeth as he stopped in front of you.
“I had to see you before you left, I didn’t want to interrupt.” He gestures to your house which your parents had just walked into. “I got these for you,” Handing you the bouquet of arranged flowers that consisted of pink carnations and white clovers.
You’d spent an embarrassing amount of time reading Jungkook’s little flower dictionary he had given you which explains why his bouquet nearly moved you to tears just from looking at it.
You remembered what he had told you in the greenhouse all those weeks ago.
“I think that plants have a language of their own. That’s why bouquets are more than just flowers, they’re statements really.”
Pink Carnations: Gratitude, I’ll never forget you.
White Clovers: Think of me.
“It’ll be impossible to forget you.” Your bodies moved on their own accord. He wrapped his arms around you and yours doing the same, even with the bouquet in hand. It was as if neither of you wanted to pull away but you knew you needed to go.
“I’ll see you at the next Palooza.” your heart hurt a little to see the sad smile he had on. “Sure, but if you're able to squeeze me into that tight schedule of yours, maybe you could come to visit sometime?” You were nervous, you were proposing more than just Jungkook visiting you in Pineley.
“Like, long distance?” The arch of his brow told you everything you needed to know and you were regretting opening your mouth in the first place, “If you’re up for it?” You begin to make your way toward the driver's side of the car, thanking him for opening it for you.
Carefully placing the flowers on the passenger seat with Taffy in the back. “I’m certainly willing to try.” There was the grin you were hoping to see on him before you left. Closing the door, and strapping on your seatbelt, Jungkook stepped to the side of the driveway giving you the space you needed to pull out, but you stopped parallel to the sidewalk.
“See you in Pineley?”
“See you in Pineley.” He smiles, waving you goodbye before you drove off.

I was inspired by this song:
𐮙ღ✰☾✿ღ𐮙
Summer 2023
Your toes sink into the sand, the warmth of the sun beaming down on your skin, as you take a cold sip of the cheap wine cooler you bought before you came to the beach. You and two of your closest friends from college decided on a whim to take a road trip from your hometown to Los Angeles, California. You all had the next week off for summer break and getting drunk and sunburnt on the West Coast sounded like a pretty great idea. You watched dozens of people walk along the coastline, several enjoying the water and others playing in the sand, some groups playing volleyball. You can’t remember the last time you went to the beach or even on a vacation. The last two years, you have been completely immersed in your studies, barely having time to relax, let alone have any time to yourself.
Los Angeles was the perfect getaway. Tonight, you had all agreed to splurge and go out to eat at a restaurant in Hollywood, just to get the full experience. Maybe even spot a celebrity or two. Your mind briefly thought of the idea of running into the Sturniolo Triplets, who you were obsessed with recently (which your friends were painfully aware of). But of course, that was delusional and the odds of seeing them were one in a million.
After a couple hours of enjoying the sun and sand, you headed back to your hotel to get ready for dinner. You chose to wear a pair of cute mom jeans, a tube top and cardigan, and a nice pair of sneakers. You didn’t want to dress up too much as you already felt tired from the beach and planned on crashing out in your bed right after dinner. You all went to eat at a gorgeous Italian restaurant, thoroughly enjoying the night, laughing and talking over good food and wine.
Once you got back to the hotel, you told your friends goodnight and went to your separate room, immediately hopping in the shower and changing into a comfortable pair of flannel pajama shorts and an old band t-shirt. You had talked about going out to a club or bar but you felt exhausted. This was your first day of vacation and already you had been stressing about your classes. Your friends forced you to leave your computer at home so that you weren’t tempted to do some extra credit for your school work. Sometimes you found it hard to just relax and take a break. You were trying to learn to simply live in the moment and stop thinking so hard about what to do next. Still, your mind raced as you lay in bed, attempting to sleep. Rain pelted the window of your room as it started to storm outside. You loved when it rained, the calming sound of thunder and raindrops on the roof usually coaxed you to sleep quickly. But tonight, you couldn’t stop tossing and turning. You were wide awake. You had the sudden urge to get up and do something – anything – to entertain you that hopefully would tire you out enough to finally go to sleep.
You got out of bed and slipped on your converse, not bothering to change your pajamas. You had decided to just go to the drive through and get an ice cream. A midnight snack would be just the thing you needed.
These were the events that had led up to you now in your car halfway down the street from the Wendy’s you stopped at, vanilla frosty in your hand, the other hand on the steering wheel as you stopped at a red light. The radio played softly as you ate your ice cream, streetlights illuminating the dark streets. There were only a few people on the road being that it was nearly one in the morning. The palm trees swayed slightly with the breeze, rain still coming down although not as hard as before. This is nice, you thought. This is my vacation. There is no time for stress. Once I get back to my room, I’ll get some rest. Tomorrow, me and the girls will go out sightseeing. Maybe even go to the–
Your thoughts were interrupted by a loud bang behind you as you felt your body jolt forward harshly, you frosty dropping out of your hand, vanilla soft serve spilling all over your lap and steering wheel. Your air bag went off, a piece snapping painfully against your forehead. It happened so quickly you barely had time to register it. After a good thirty seconds, you realized you had just been rear ended. Great. You thought. This is the last thing I needed. You looked out of your rear-view mirror to see a Kia attached to your bumper. The culprit, from what you could see through the tinted window, looked to be a boy around your age with long brown hair. You sighed in frustration, leaning your head back against the headrest. You hated confrontation, especially in situations like these. Not to mention you’d have to file this with insurance and that was another headache in itself. Reluctantly, you opened your door, stepping out into the wet street.
Fuck. You didn’t have an umbrella with you. Talk about the fucking cherry on top. Luckily the rain had significantly got lighter than earlier, and it wasn’t thunder and lightning anymore. You closed the door, walking towards the other car but stopped dead in your tracks once you recognized the person that had crashed into you.
There was absolutely no way. Had you actually fallen asleep in your hotel room and were currently dreaming? Because there was just no way that you were standing in the middle of the street, rain currently soaking through your pajamas which were also sticky with ice cream, staring at Christopher Sturniolo who had rear ended your car. Who also happened to be in a yelling match with Matt and Nick at the current moment. You had to be dreaming.
Your feet were frozen to the ground as you stood there, physically unable to move. How does one even go about approaching them? Oh, hey funny to see you guys here. I know you just crashed into my car but don’t worry about it. I’ll just be on my way back to the comfort of my bed so I can completely avoid this insane situation and also avoid making a complete idiot of myself….
“Chris, are you fucking serious?!”
“This is the last time I ever let you drive, you’re obviously incapable.”
“Will both of you shut the fuck up! I can’t find my phone; I think it went under the seat.”
“Oh, you can’t be serious. He just hit another car and the kid is worried about his phone.”
“I’d be more worried about the insurance and how much we’re gonna have to pay for this!!”
“Oh my God! I said shut the fu-“
They didn’t seem to even notice you, too caught up in their bickering as you had slowly walked closer, your voice quiet and timid.
“Uh, hey… Don’t worry about insurance or anything. If you don’t wanna claim it, I’m cool with that.”
You interrupted, trying to hide your visibly shaking hands and crossing your arms.
All three boys halted their conversation, turning to look at you with wide eyes as if they almost forgot there was another human being inside the car they had just hit.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry. Excuse my brother, he actually has half a brain and apparently the inability to drive.” Nick said, an apologetic look on his face and then turning to glare at Chris.
Chris glared back at him, finally finding his phone from underneath the seat. He made eye contact with you, his glare turning into a sheepish look. He ran a hand through his hair, his mouth opening to speak to you, but Matt stepped in front, approaching you.
“You don’t have to worry. I’m actually the one who owns this car and I have great insurance so I promise it will all be taken care of.” He says, with a nice smile. You smile back politely, still holding onto your arms and trying not to freak out at the fact you’re actually conversing with these people right now.
“Are you sure? I mean, the damage isn’t that bad. I wont mind just forgetting this happened and calling it a night.” You laugh nervously, glancing at the busted bumper on your car. In all honesty, it actually wasn’t too bad. You would need a new bumper for sure, which might put a dent in your wallet but at the current moment you wanted nothing but to get the fuck out of there.
“No way! It wouldn’t feel right if we just walked away from this. Matt will get all the details and take care of it.” Nick chimed in, an identical smile to Matt’s on his face that made you feel just a little more comfortable.
Meanwhile Chris leaned up against the car, unusually quiet and with a look of stress over his features, stealing glances at you every now and them. He definitely felt guilty for causing the accident and he knew he would never hear the end of it from his brothers. He stared at his shoes and tucked his hands in the pocket of his hoodie, waiting while you exchanged information with Matt.
You typed your insurance information into Matt’s phone handing it back, while he handed you yours. You suddenly felt a twinge of pain on your forehead and winced, reaching up to touch it. It was then that you noticed there was about a 2-inch gash from the airbag snapping in your face. It didn’t feel too deep, but it hurt. Matt and Nick both noticed and Nick instinctively reached out to grab your arm. “Are you okay? It looks like its bleeding.” He said in concern. Chris then snapped his head up, his attention fully on you now. He walked over to Nick and Matt, a look of pure terror on his face as he stared at the cut on your head.
“Oh, I’m fine. I’ve had worse, I promise. I just need to get back to my hotel and clean it up.” You say reassuringly. But they were not buying it.
“Are you sure? Maybe we should call an ambulance? I really don’t want anything bad to happen.” Chris says.
“An ambulance? Don’t be dramatic, Chris. Maybe she just needs to sit down for a while.” Matt responds quickly. He looks at you like you’re an injured puppy, concern filling his eyes.
“Yeah, I agree. Let’s have her sit in the car for a bit. It’s not helping that we’re also standing in the rain like idiots.” Nick quips, guiding you to the back seat of their car.
You laugh nervously again, taking a seat. They crowd around you, looking at you like you might fall dead to the ground.
“Look, I really appreciate that you guys are being so helpful. But I’m not gonna lie, I’m freezing right now, my clothes are wet, and I just wanna get back to my hotel and go to sleep. Also, no offense, but I know you guys from your YouTube videos and this is a very awkward situation for me.” The words spill out in a rush, and you cover your face with your hands in embarrassment.
“Oh! I’m such an idiot. Here, take my hoodie. I have an extra one in the back.” Chris says, seeming to completely ignore the fact that you admitted you knew who they were and reaches around you to grab his dry hoodie from the back seat. He hands it to you, and you hesitantly take it, your eyebrows raised in confusion at his nonchalant response. “So you can at least warm up a little.” He smiles, trying to make you feel more comfortable. You do nothing but grip onto the soft hoodie and look over at Matt and Nick who also seem to not care a thing about what you just said. Matt says, “I’ll go look at your car if you don’t mind and make sure its safe for you to drive and then once you warm up, you’ll be free to go!”
He makes his way towards your car and Nick climbs in on the other side of the back seat next to you. “Sorry again for everything. I’m pretty sure this wasn’t how you expected your night to go.” He says. You then find yourself genuinely laughing for the first time tonight and start to pull the hoodie on, grateful to feel something warm over your wet clothes. “Yeah, definitely not what I expected.” Chris climbs into the passenger seat, turning back to look at you. “This is where I normally sit.” He states with a cheeky grin and you giggle, feeling a slight blush creep onto your face. He really was just as attractive in person, if not more, you realize as your nerves slightly settle down. “But I guess you already knew that.” He adds, his grin turning into a smirk. “Yeah and it’s gonna stay that way, you idiot.” Nick interrupts, making you erupt into more giggles as Chris’ smirk turns into a glare. “Shut up.” He mumbles, turning back around in his seat as Matt walks back towards their car, opening the driver door and getting in. He has a serious look on his face now, turning to look at you in the back seat.
“So… there’s an issue. It looks like Chris’ dumbass rear ended you so hard that your rear tire is flat. And I really doubt any tow truck is going to come at this time of night. Even if it does, it will take a while. And I wouldn’t feel safe letting you go alone. It looks like the best option is to drop you off myself at your hotel and have them tow your car in the morning. We can push it to the side of the road so there’s no issues.” Matt says, your heart sinking and you lay your head in your hands in frustration before he even finishes his sentence. Nick frowns and sighs, putting another reassuring hand on your shoulder. “I’m sorry. We’ll pay for all of it, I swear.” He says. You look at him with a smile and turn to Matt, ready to just agree with him so you can be done with this night already before Chris interrupts you. “Why don’t we just take her to the house? It’s literally 5 minutes from here and we don’t know how serious her head injury is.” He suggests.
Chris knows this is a crazy suggestion. First of all, you’re a fan, and you just met not even 30 minutes ago. You could be a psycho killer for all he knows. But Chris likes to believe that he has a strong intuition, especially when it comes to people and he just knows you’re not the type. To be quite honest, he hasn’t been able to take his eyes off you since he first saw you. Even with the rain completely drenching you and what looked like to be some sort of frozen dessert staining the front of your shirt and shorts, he thought you were beautiful. He already felt horrible for fucking up your car and causing you bodily harm. The least he could do was take you to his house and attend to your wounds. Only to make sure you didn’t drop dead on some random hotel carpet. Right?
Everyone looks at him like he has three heads. His brothers exchange concerning glances, awkward silence filling the car. Since when did he just invite random strangers into his house?
“Uhh.. Are you sure? I mean, how do you feel about that..?” Matt asks, looking at you with hesitation. You didn’t respond just yet, still adjusting to the fact Chris Sturniolo is voluntarily inviting you to their home.
“I don’t know…. I think I agree with Chris. I don’t wanna be responsible if you go back to your hotel alone and end up with a concussion or something. No offense.” Nick adds, shrugging his shoulders.
You scoff, extremely surprised at the fact that they’ve taken it this far. “No no no, look. You three have been really nice to me over this whole thing, but its just a little cut. I promise I’ll be fine. My hotel isn’t that far either. I don’t want to intrude and-“
Chris suddenly reaches out and lightly touches your forehead, blood still trickling out and starting to run down the side of your head. You wince in pain and recoil from his touch, your head starting to throb. “See? It’s not just a little cut, is it? You’re actively bleeding, and it obviously hurts. I know you’re just being modest, but I promise I just – we just- want to make sure you’re okay.” He says, his eyes trailing down your face, admiring it briefly, his fingertips ghosting over your jaw before he pulls his hand back. You remain frozen in your seat, butterflies swarming in your lower abdomen from the light touch he left on your face. “Unless you really do feel uncomfortable, then I understand. We can take you to the hotel. But like Nick said, we just don’t want anything bad to happen.” He added softly, turning back around, raking a hand through his hair. Nick and Matt exchange looks again, noticing the obvious tension.
You take in a deep breath and pull Chris’ hoodie tighter around you. “Fine. I guess I see your point. You can take me to your house but once I get this stupid cut on my head cleaned up, I’ll call my friend to come pick me up.” You finally say, buckling your seat belt. You can’t help but notice a small, smug smirk on Chris’ face through the passenger side mirror.
Once they pushed your car to the side of the road, Matt takes off with you in the backseat, your head leaned against the window.
I must be dreaming right? I’m definitely in my bed right now and this is not happening. You think to yourself, the intoxicating smell of Dior Sauvage cologne filling your nose, as you press the sleeve of Chris’ hoodie to the throbbing wound on your head.
